Reviews of Rain City Burgers
Rain City Veggie burger was great, just satisfying and sloppy in all the right ways! The onion rings and fries were also both super crispy for a long while after we picked them up, and the hot sauce (more like a spicy mayo actually) was the perfect condiment for them. The 12th man burger was also very large and extra beefy. Definitely gonna try their milkshakes next time 🥛
Burgers and milk shakes were really good. My burger was just the right mixture of sauce and toppings. Everything was really fresh. We got onion rings (I felt they were over cooked), but everyone else in our group thought they were just right. Small dine in area that was clean and well kept. Bathrooms were clean.
We enjoyed the burgers here very much, but it is just a burger joint, so not a lot more to share. I would rate it against other Seattle burger places about a 8, with 10 being the highest. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎
The photo doesn’t do it justice but the burger was the right size in all the right places. The buns had good bread integrity and held everything together as a powered through it. The meat wasn’t too thick and just juicy enough to make a smooth eating experience but not too juicy to where it soaks up the buns and collapses the burger in your hands. These burgers definitely stand out from the crowd in a city full of burger places that have their own gimmicks. No gimmicks here, just very good burgers.
The 12th Man burger is that classic bacon cheeseburger you’d expect from an awesome mom and pop place. My only complaint was that the bottom bun was too thick and a little undertoasted, but flipping the burger over fixed that. The Rain City sauce is not your typical “fry sauce” and has a nice smokey taste to it, pretty similar to Red Robin’s Campfire sauce. The place also has that homey collegetown burger stop vibe you’d expect in the U-District. Definitely will come back if I’m in the area. I'd suggest taking the bus or light rail here (it's a block away from Roosevelt station), otherwise, park under I-5 and walk a block.
The burgers were ok. Surprisingly the fries tasted better than the burger. My wife got the salmon burger and she said it was 3 stars also. Not pictured. Friendly service. Last call for take out is 8pm on Saturday.
Solid burger, i ate this burger 3 hours after picking it up and it totally held up and tasted amazing. I had the Sounders Burger, i dont know who sounder was or what the deal is with the name but who’s ever idea was to put cream cheese and jalapeños on a burger is a genius, love the combo! I also had the onion rings, they were pretty plain, id skip those next time for some sweet potato fries. I also had a peanut butter and banana milkshake- perfecto
One of my go to burger places in Seattle!! Highly recommend grabbing a burger here if you are craving for one. Prices are decently priced and they offer chicken and vegetarian options too.
The burgers are a little pricey but it's worth it. I had the Mariners burger, it was awesome. When they said it had avocados I thought they would have added 1-2 slices. They gave me almost a quarter of a whole avocado + a generous serving of bacon. Their fries are also amazing with their special sauce. The shakes are also a must, very creamy almost to creamy you need a bigger straw.
