My review might be off because I think you come here for the beef and I had their chicken. My wife had the mussels which she said were ok. The chicken was dry and had really no flavor but was edible. The noise level is off the charts loud.

Everything was so delicious the food the drinks the atmosphere. The mussels we had were cooked perfectly. This is a hidden gem and deserves to have lines out the door. Good job guys can’t wait to go back.

Good spot, cozy, nice atmosphere. Food is a bit different from previous pictures here but still good - I think they changed menu about after pandemic.

Can’t go wrong with a stop into this Belltown staple. Standout dishes for me are the always perfectly cooked burgers with extra crispy fries, the crudités plate as well as the ever changing vegetarian pasta. Pair it all with a thoughtful cocktail or a glass of natural wine.
Dorothee Brand
One of the most beautiful and authentic spots in Belltown, super cozy and great design along with elevated food and cocktail experience. Super fun place for a date or friends night out !

Linda Derschang is a genius and did not disappoint!
Like her other restaurants, Queen City has a very cool vibe. From the music to the elaborate gallery walls to the booths that feel like they have been there forever, it's an elevated neighborhood bar that manages to be hip without being pretentious.
The food is a little bit heavy - but totally delicious. Bar food that is higher quality and more expertly executed than the standard.
The drinks are great - creative but not over the top.
I'd definitely recommend!

My wife and I stopped in here for Seattle's restaurant week as a chance to eat at a nicer place at a lower cost. As soon as we got in we realized the menu wasn't the same as it was online sadly. However, the options were still good. My wife started with the red oak salad and the croutons were made with duck fat. It was very good. I had the prosciutto squash, which was very good and the broth was good as well. After that we had a bit of a delay in the entre due to a big influx of people arriving, somewhat of a bummer, but not horrible. When we got our entrees, my wife's heritage pork loin arrived it was undercooked sadly. They corrected it very quickly though. While we were waiting for the pork we enjoyed a few bites of potentially the best burger I've had in my life. It was absolutely delicious. The cheese was completely melted into the burger. For dessert my wife had the chocolate terrine with cherries and I had the pavlova. The chocolate terrine was very good, the chocolate and cherries were a good balance with a silky texture. The pavlova grilled pineapple that came with two vanilla meringue cookies and a bit of ice cream with sumac. The combination of the three went quite well together as I wasn't sure what to expect out of it. I would have given it 5 stars aside from the issues with the pork being undercooked, even though it was corrected.

Good food. How can you go wrong with steak and fries. One demotion for serving delicious hot food on a cold plate!

This place knocked my socks off! We ordered the pan seared scallops as an appetizer, the halibut special of the day and the cioppino soup. Everything was perfect, and our server was great. They have live jazz on Saturdays, so we will be back for sure! Wow, what a great meal!

My favorite spot in Belltown for the food, the cocktails and the people. Love the vibe and the staff are great! Don’t miss out on the seasonal menu changes, and the cocktails - did I mention those?!!!? 👌 a classic/iconic Seattle establishment, updated to be a new classic. …

We had an amazing time here. Miso Hungry Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten! Service was impeccable and the place is extra clean. There’s even little hand towels in the bathrooms that add a nice touch! Definitely will be back for more.

Met by the owner at the door as we read the menu. He said it was the best restaurant in town, so how could we not be intrigued. He suggested the dishes, all of which we halved. Oysters, salad and halibut were all excellent. Service was fast. The owner and wait staff were there when we wanted them. Bill was $77, before tip, including two glasses of nice wine. We enjoyed it very much and will likely return during our short visit to Seattle.

Had a round of cocktails last night before a dinner reservation down the street. The bartender was super nice and patient despite our indecisiveness on what to order. He worked us through the process and came up with an interesting suggestion. Along with that, some of the best old fashioned's out there. Can't wait to go back when we can stay longer.

The food was excellent! I had the oysters: fresh and a bit milky, the beef steak tacos: simple but tasty as hell with the corn tacos delicious by itself and a lime pie citrus and sweet perfect balance. There was a selection of local beers and a good range of scotch, perfect to finish the diner listening to the live band.

We had the goat cheese and mushroom appetizer to start, which was stunningly delicious. Then some of us had the Kobe burger, which was also amazing. They actually ask you how you want your burger, medium rare etc. I asked for rare, and that's exactly what I got. Best burger I've had in months, and huge. My brother had the rainbow trout, which was also excellent.
The menu was full of interesting options, and I'd definitely go back next time I'm in Seattle.
Chris Madro
I'd like to see a few more food options, but I my burger was discounted because it was Monday, and it tasted fantastic. All the drinks were tasty too. Friendly staff as well and a nice environment.

Showed up for what I already knew to be good food and found out it was sold. The absolute best food I've had in a long time. New owners have done a wonderful job remodeling the menu and the restaurant. Had the salmon with wild rice and the squash wrapped in prosciutto

Ate here for my anniversary last night following the Seattle Art Museum. Not a bad walk and the food was excellent. I had a porkchop and the sear was wonderfully done. My husband had the chicken and said it was the best meal he'd had all year! Wonderful atmosphere!

First time here, had the salmon and peppercorn steak. The peppercorn steak was the worst I've ever had. I paid $33 for this ~$15 plate. I have to say that it was cooked properly as far as being the medium rare I asked for. The steak just tasted like a piece of meat, no flavor, no seasoning. Decor and service were good and it felt like a nice place. The salmon was good and tasty, nothing extraordinary. I would come back to hang out in the bar, but never for the food.
Crim
A little bit on the pricey side, however it tasted wonderful. The steak was cooked perfectly and tender in your mouth! Outstanding for dates!

I simply picked this restaurant from the Seattle Restaurant City Guide. This place is a hit or miss depending on what you order. Overall, the food is OK.
You will be greeted by a very tall personable Maitre De. He will promptly seat you. Our waiter was very personable. Took our orders promptly. Drinks came promptly. Food was a little slow to arrive. Waiter brought all the starters but forgot to bring one until he was reminded. Then he neglects to hold the main course until everyone finishes the starters. Then my husband told him he was rushing us but he didn't get the hint. We felt rushed. Waiter was not overly attentive.
The trout dish we ordered was very dry and bland. The rest of us was pleased with our order but I wouldn't recommend the Risotto that complimented the Chicken breast order. Chicken was very good but the rice concoction was a thumbs down. The risotto tasted a little stale. I had to spit that out.
Lamb was very good. Burger was very good. And the cod was good too. I guess 3 out of 5 is pretty good.

The food is pretty good at this new incarnation of this long-standing Belltown spot. Linda Derschang took it over in 2019 and has added signature touches like great cocktails, the Smith burger, and quirky theme nights. Definitely check out the tarot readings from Kat on Tuesdays. The booths are a great date setting and there’s usually parking nearby on weeknights.

AMAZING!!!!! Belltown was our "home" in the '80's/'90's. Queen City is still an icon and so happy to have had a wonderful dinner with my old friends. Thank you for preserving this fabulous place in all it's original splendor. 💕 …

I made some new friends at a restaurant across the street and they were raving about this drink called the Queen City Flatliner so I decided to join them in an adventure across the street to give it a try. Let me preface this by saying that I don't usually like cocktails that are coffee themed. However, since I was in Seattle and it was my first time there, I figured "What better time to try one that might actually be good?"
I am so happy that I took a chance on this one, since that drink is alone a good enough reason to come pay this place a visit. Highly recommend coming here to give a shot. The area has a good number of little restaurants and bars as well, so you can make it a fun evening of restaurant/bar hopping.

1/25/2013 Noise starts around 7 pm, so my friend and I went at 5 pm when the noise level was not so bad. I started with an excellent sour cherry cocktail -- a good balance between tart and sweet -- and my friend had an excellent chardonnay from Coeur d'Alene. Service was good. And our meals were very good. There were plenty of choices for a person who can't eat wheat. We started with excellent caesar salad. I had the crab cakes with remoulade sauce, and my friend had the black cod special. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, but I would have welcomed more of them.

Queen City is one of Belltowns greatest kept secrets!!! You can always count on them for an amazing food menu as well as phenomenal drink menu! Staff is knowledge and friendly! Highly highly recommend this place!!

Our waitress was friendly, and the food was good. We had chicken wings and shrimp toast for starters, and popcorn rock fish and shrimp for main dish. All were delicious 😋. …

I had Linguine and Clams last night. Well cooked with the right amount of chilies. Portion size was just right for me. A big thumbs up to the friendly staff with a genuine approach. Reasonable pricing.

#TheLateReview
The Late Review:
Scene:
The spot reminds me of the quintessential mobster hangout. Old school mafia appeal with a new age finish on it. I enjoyed myself and rate it a ⅘ stars and here's why.
Vibes:
Maybe it was my lucky day, but the soundtrack for the evening was Miles Davis Pandora station. The vibe was melodic as Generique came over the speaker loud and encroaching as a musical time machine transporting all of the restaurants patrons to a certain period in time. I half expected to see Lucky Luciano himself come waltzing through the door.
Server:
Sophisticated. In one word, she was from Morocco or Sudan, she was very sweet, and pretty. The chef & her may be some sort of item as he I would catch a glare or two in my direction whenever I looked toward the kitchen. I wanted to tell him, like an old Jamaican cat told me. “yah can’t be mad at someone for finding beauty in the sun, the moon, or a flower”. But I doubt he’d be ready for such simple yet thoughtful truths. Meanwhile, Sarah’s company for the evening made my day.
Cook:
Younger crew, though they looked focused, and at ease. It wasn't too busy that night, but enough to keep the Chefs steady working. I swear, no matter what kitchen you go to in the states, your going to always find an essay… Thai, Korean BBQ, Italian, I put money on it, there’s an essay on the line. (Side Note: the dishwasher looks like a retired hitman)
Drink:
Hot Chocolate: But it was a really good hotchocalte, like he had to have melted the chocolate, it was so velvety and delicious.
Food:
First Meal:
Lamb chop w/mint pesto
Seared then oven finished, cooked medium rare
w/roasted garlic & rosemary vinegar beets
8/10 The flavors were were sharp, and the meat cooked the way I like it, the beets with the garlic and some pesto with the lamb, excellent bite.
Second Meal:
Bacon Chutney Burger
Cream cheese, arugula, medium rare, with a homemade mole sauce. This was actually better than the lamb. The crunchy toasted bun with home cut fries, made this meal a 9/10 on the burger scale.
Jacki Fields-Deckard
Fantastic atmosphere, great staff, lovely wine...just wished the menu was larger, enjoyed the food we had. Definitely a great place to go for drinks and small bites!

I work not far from QC and so glad we have a beautiful stylish bar with a great burger in the neighborhood. Really cozy on rainy days too. Their niçoise is great too.

I've experienced Queen City through the ages (well, since the 70s). This is the best yet. Owner Linda Derschang is doing some interesting food and drink here, with a respectful nod to the past.
Brian “Easty and the Wolf” Eastwood
Maybe my preferred bar in DT Seattle. It's just got the right atmosphere, long bar to mingle or snugs to sit a chat in private while enjoying the character of the place. Bar staff are always super friendly, funny and spare time to chat if it's not too busy. Great place.
Ian Coherton
Great Burger accompanied by a magnificent local IPA. Was my first stop after landing from the UK when I was tired hungry and thirsty and couldn't have started in a better place....
Joy Ramirez
The best most moist halibut I think I have ever had . The owner came out to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Super friendly!
Chris Spiller
Succulent halibut, tender scallops, an enticing cioppini, and one deliciously assembled cocktail. We're already planning our return trip.

Great food in a romantic setting. I felt the
food was overpriced, but that seems to be the norm in Seattle these days.

Great service. Really good quality steak. Go for the 16oz sirloin you won't be disappointed.

I'm pretty sure this place has the best seared ahi I've ever had. This, combined with live jazz on Saturday claims top prize in my book.
