Oh man this place is great. We had such an amazing time. Might have something to do with the mimosas. Or the dhow we got to watch from the view of the kitchen we had. Or maybe the amazing food we ate. Or maybe it was our amazing servers. It's like some of the places I've been to just don't like their jobs and have no patience. This place is not one of those places. They will make you feel welcome and comfortable. Even their music had us feeling the vibe.
The food was even better than I expected and I came expecting good food. Probably the best breakfast I've had in a long time and I've had some really good food recently. Also the prices are very reasonable. The portions make sense here.
Lots of seating In here. I was seated at on of the bar counters. But I still felt like I had plenty of space. There was a line out the door so I'm just happy they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. Pure magic. I will be back very soon. This one's getting added to my collection. Oh. And they have vegan options.
The downside of this place is. Maybe the weird bathroom situation. Only one inside and the other you have to kind of find your way to and from. I got lost on the way back. I also blame that mimos for that.

I came with a small group on a Sunday morning and I'm glad we made a reservation. The restaurant was packed, which contributed to quite a bit of background noise. The overall vibe was cute. The menu is very extensive and well priced for being local, organic, and sustainable. We ordered the bananas foster french toast, mole verde burrito, and rancher's breakfast-- none of them disappointed. The breakfast bar is also great and not something I've seen many places offer.

There was a slight (50 minute) wait on the Morning of Memorial Day, no duh. But as always this place never disappoints. It's tried and true. Always worth the wait in literally every instance. After living in Seattle for 13 years and moving away, coming back to this place is just a slice of home. We sat at the bar (highly recommend that if you get the option too) so we got to watch the food prep during the craze and man the support staff and chefs there are incredible!
I always have to order weird things because of my allergies and they are always kind and respectful about it. So when I ordered the Farm Bowl with no egg, plus meat with gluten free bread they didn't even bat an eye (Bless you all). Everyone else in our party enjoyed to-the-last bite everything on their plates. Portage Bay is a must of you are in Seattle.

Absolutely AMAZING! I wish I could give it 10 stars.
Food was so delicious. My husband got the oatmeal french toast, which he said was absolutely amazing alongside his toppings from the fruit bar. He also got a side of sausage and a peach mimosa that he loved!
I got the Banana Foster french toast....I wish I could bathe in the caramel/rum sauce, it's that good. I also ordered a side of the breakfast potatoes and bacon. The bacon was pretty good and so were the potatoes, I just unfortunately do not like the seasoning put on the potatoes but that's my personal preference. I also got an apple mimosa that was delish!
The atmosphere is really nice but I'd absolutely recommend reserving a table beforehand. My husband did the smart move of that because once we arrived, we still waited about 10 minutes for a table past our reservation time but the line outside was insane and kept growing while we were eating - the wait time was over 45 minutes!
All in all, I'd highly recommend this place and will ABSOLUTELY be coming back to try out more of their dishes!

Wonderful restaurant! I’ve been wanting to try this place for some time and we finally were able to. Upon entering, the staff was kind and told us to seat ourselves. We chose a booth next to pancakes bar. A waiter promptly came to us and provided drinks and answered questions. We are diary free (me) and GF and vegan (her) and this was very easy to accommodate for. I tried the ranchers plate with eggs, bacon, potatoes and a side of the amazing GF vegan banana pancakes oh wow! And she had the Buddha bowl with tofu, lentils and veggies! Food was delicious! Pancake toppings bar was fun. Service was good. We even tried a blueberry mimosa yum. Great atmosphere. We’ll be back!

I loved it here! I love a place with a berry bar. LOAD THAT PLATE UP. I ate so much food here, I actually died. But their service is so good I was revived and was able to eat more. Does get busy on weekends, but weekday brunches, this place is choice.

We were sat on the counters around the kitchen. Let me tell you something. Those potatoes were fire. The swedish pancakes were so soft and delicious. Probably amongst the best brunch places here. Witnessed a patron smile ear to ear.

Fav brunch spot!!!!! Reasonable prices (see pics) two of us ate for under $40!!!!! Will not find better quality food, better taste, or better customer service. The employees actually want to work and be there. Pretty cool to see the biz has weathered COVID while upholding standards!!! Will be back.

We’ve been here perhaps 20 times and it’s long overdue for a review. I recommend reservations to ensure a quicker seating experience. There can be a pretty big line otherwise. Very kid friendly with high chairs, booster seats and crayons. The place is busy, especially on the weekends and can get a tad loud. Once seated, despite the crowd, the service is prompt and friendly. My kiddo especially loves Marin who has served us a bunch. The food is delish and we’ll seasoned. Portions are hearty. I particularly like a number of the special, one of which was the Cubano Benedict which I photographed here. And say they are in particular known for their different Benedicts and the berry and whip cream bar that you can go through if you order a sweet dish like pancakes or French toast. I recommend the farmers daughter for vegans and the Challah French toast as well.
