Reviews of Pizzeria Pulcinella
Peter Powell
Deserves more than 4 stars but I can't go to 5 given the stiff competition. The food is excellent and service was prompt and cheerful. Overall an excellent choice and highly recommended if you don't mind making your way south. Try the simple #2 and add anchovies. A real flavour bomb. The salad was excellent although the large isn't quite.

I’ve never been a huge fan of pizza, but I wanted to try this place. I ordered the Giovanni & Capri, every ingredient was fresh and wood oven cooked.
I’m more familiar with Western pizza vs Italian, but, I’m not a big fan of Italian (Napoletana) pizza either, and sadly my partner didn’t like any of the food.
Nice atmosphere and decor, has outdoor seating for summer, and no designated place to sit inside while waiting for to-go orders.
Sarita Colvin
Everything was great! The order was ready before designated time which is always a plus in my book. We ordered the lasagna, cannoli, and Giovanni pizza. I enjoyed the red pepper and pesto sauce. It was a great balance with the fresh tomatoes. Will definitely return and try other items from the menu.
Christopher Walker
Superb wood fired pizza. This restaurant has a fantastic ambiance, and equally excellent fare. Pizzas are sharable, with a thin crust and vast array of styles and toppings. The house made Caesar salad dressing is top notch. Rotating tap, and we'll thought out Italian and local wine list. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Jeff Hinman
Delicious place for some Italian food. You can turn their pizza options into large calzones (I'm convinced they just make the pizza and fold it over). Very good. We got the Mario pizza and the chicken and creamy sauce was perfect. The pasta was alright but the calzone was delicious!
Overall, would recommend a visit. They also have a fun spicy oil to dip your bread in. So good and rather reasonably priced for Italian food.
Praveen Jassal
The Giovanni pizza was both delicious and satisfying. Definitely worth a try - something in the sauce with just the right blend meat and veggies, cooked in wood burning stove. I will definitely order the Giovanni pizza next time.
Sherri B
We highly recommend you try this place! Best pizza we've had in a long time. Great selections with a wood burning pizza oven. The staff was great, very friendly. It was so good that we forgot to take a picture when the food was delivered!
Vineeth H
Can't believe we live right around here and havent been here yet! Wonderful, cozy atmosphere in this restaurant, and delicious food!
They provide bread service to start with. We tried the caprese salad which was delicious. Tried two vegetarian pizzas - margarita and one with all veggies and both were really well made wood fired pizzas. The crust, cheese and toppings on the pizzas were equally good. We also tried their canneloni which was also amazing! We also tried the decadence flourless cake for dessert and mmm mmm mmm. Not big on the rasperry topping so we asked for it on the side. Going to be coming here a lot more going forward!
Kitten Freeman
Great service and food, we noticed the place on our walk, and came back to it for dinner. It was fun to watch all the guys making pizzas in the middle of the restaurant!
Erin Story
We had a great experience at Pizzeria Pulcinella. Our family of four went early on a Friday evening (5 pm) and the staff were all friendly and attentive.
My husband and I shared the #17 Gustosa and our 7 year olds shared a margherita pizza with pepperoni. They were both excellent. For dessert, we ordered the Profittaroli and our 7 year olds finished the cream puffs within a minute flat because they were so good.
I'm sure we will be back!
BreeAnna Lasher
Such a great place with a great atmosphere. I got the margarita pizza and my bff got the calzone. They both were amazing! The Italian sodas are also super good!
M Locke (MichL)
Pizzeria Pulcinella is where to go for Neapolitan style pizza. They have a wonderful crust, crisp and tender at the same time, my favorite is the pesto. Simple flavors that are done well. Freshly tossed and prepared right in front of you as well. All around a great place for a gluten & dairy free cheat day! 😋kid friendly with good Italian sodas too.
Gabriela Dragoman
Always a great experience. I love their pizza and appetizers, the Georgetown Manny's Pale Ale is also a must try. A bit expensive compared to other pizza restaurants but worth every penny in my opinion.
Ciarra Greene
Most delicious pizza I've had even after visiting Italy! Must have when visiting the area 🤤 undeniable fresh ingredients and wood fired, friendly service and comfy atmosphere. Favoriting for future visits.
Shireen McCleary
Delicious pizza! About $17-19 for a pizza, good to share or take leftovers home! And if you sit outside, their patio is dog friendly.
Amanda B
Amazing!
We ordered the Fresh Mozzarella & Prosciutto, Margherita Pizza, and the Profittaroli for dessert. Everything was absolutely scrumptious.
The staff was pleasant and everything came out quickly. They were busy and reservations are recommended.
Jessica Geise
The BEST! Our absolute favorites and must-haves are the Caesar salad (best dressing EVER), and the Diavola & Vesuvio pizzas. Love their house red wine, Italian sodas, but everything they have is so delicious!!
Kristi
Love this spot! One of the best pizzas I've had in this city. The crust is fantastic!! This is a must try!
Giuliana Palmas
Very tasty pizza thin crust, cooked in wood dome oven. They even have Birra Peroni, Italian beer.
Definitely mi kinda place!!!
Rebecca Haas
Seems I've been to a lot of Italian places lately and this is also one of my favorite spots you shouldn't miss on the south end of Lake Washington. So good! The pizzas are outstanding with a real Italian oven on-site. Fresh salads and more.
Steve Hiday
Excellent Neapolitan-style pizza! I stopped here on a Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner and had no problem getting a parking spot or a table. Service was quick and pleasant. They have a great selection of appetizers, pizzas, and a good wine list.
I ordered the Caprese salad and the pepperoni mushroom and onion pizza. Delish!! The Multipulciano was a perfect match and their side of bread is awesome. I wasn't able to try any deserts this time, but I'll be back soon enough!

Absolutely delicious! The salad and the pizza were excellent. The staff was friendly and appropriately attentive. 1st time visiting and we are anxious to come back again. Food was enough to share for 2 people.
eva e
Beautifully made pizza and a great dining experience! I ordered the Leo pizza to go and ate a calzone as dine in. Delicious! Expect to spend around $20 per person. Not the cheapest pizza place, but definitely one of the best in terms of quality ingredients and experience.
Don Fischer
It is a small establishment so be prepared for busier times and a wait. It will be worth it. Cheery atmosphere with so many regular patrons. Excellent pizza menu. Hope you're hungry!
Ronda Carrera
Absolutely Devine!! I am a customer for LIFE! First time eating here today… delicious & authentically home made! I can you… tell this place is truly Italian & loves to care for people through food!! Thank you for letting me in on a little bit of that love today!! If your in the area or pass through- you definitely want to give this little place by the side of the road a try… you won’t regret it!!
Sam Steinwinder
Pulcinella is the best pizza around, and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. They have a terrific staff, excellent food and a gorgeous brick oven. The owners are a lovely, local family who have been in the South Seattle restaurant business for decades. It’s our neighborhood restaurant but we recommend it well beyond the neighborhood. Enjoy!
Nathan Mikesell
This place is Soooo good!!!! Our server was extremely nice and very attentive, she was simply amazing. The pizza is unreal!! And it's got a cozy cool environment. Great for a date, dinner with friends or a place to take the family. Parking can be a little tricky but is more then worth the effort! Make this your next destination!
Asoke Papaly
Excellent crust, chewy but light. Nice variety of toppings. We also tried the profiteroles, good contrast between the choux and the filling. Ambience is of an old style Italian restaurant.
Erin Clifford
The food is so good and the staff is friendly. We had four different pizzas and a salad and everything was a hit. Definitely one of our favorite places to go out.
Federico Mira
The only reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars is because the place isn't my kind of place, but the food is unmistakably, absolutely delicious. If you like old-time restaurants and you love some good old classic italian cuisine, look no further.
Nick Boparai
Heard about this place from a friend, Its a small quaint place. I ordered a pizza and a meatball dish, both were excellent. Pizzas are made in a Woodfire oven,.and the one I had was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.
Carol Weber
Omg the tomato sauce is everything, in the meatball appetizer, pizza & as a dip for that scratch-made focaccia. Farm-fresh salad. Super-friendly service. Outside seating. A variety of artisan toppings. Ask for the chili oil! Goes great with the focaccia bread. Love!
Taylor Noonan
I lived in Italy for almost 5 years..and this is one of the pizza places that take me back! If you come here, PLEASE order the margarita pizza.
I prefer and recommend requesting them to make it a bit crispier, but this is our favorite place yet! I wish we lived closer!
10/10!
Troy Kemahli
My parents and I have been coming here for years. The staff is always so kind and the food is consistently of high quality. We are fortunate to have such an amazing place in our area. Thank you to the owners and staff for everything!
Elizabeth Andrews
Had a great time here. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Such a cute place. We made reservations which I think was helpful.
Tran
The pizza is soooo good. Every ingredient is fresh, high quality, and cooked perfectly. Service is fast. Price is reasonable.
Amira Lions
I only have The advertiser eggplant parmesan it was pleasant but I kind of expected a richer flavor.
I will return later to try the pizza and post an update.
David
Old school italian pizza restaurant in Rainier Beach area.Been there since the 50s I believe. It's neapolitan pizza and it tastes just fine, but just not my personal style or taste for pizza. They have lots of other offerings and if you like cozy Little Italian restaurants I'm sure you will like this a lot. My coworker got Caesar salad and said it was one of the best he ever tasted. The lady who waited on us was very nice.
Narine Harut
It was my first time at this restaurant, place wasn't very big but got seated right away, casual atmosphere, smells really good 😊, clean and well-maintained, good customer service...
Delicious food, got pear salad, amazing, and also pizza #13 😋
They have high chairs for babies, parking nearby, bar on the site, and you can see how they baking pizza.
Definitely will be back

Pizzeria Pulcinella is a gem for the Pacific Northwest. Pizzas are always amazing because they are as close to Neapolitan style pizza as you can get without physically being in Naples... Simple ingredients, simple pizza. It's what it's suppose to be. Grazie for serving us here in the PNW with great pizza.
kedei eni
Their pizza is the best of all Seattle hands down. They have an excellent topping selection and their prices are pretty cheap too.
Fida
Favorite Neapolitan-style pizza in Seattle. The food is delicious and the quality of ingredients can't be missed. Pre-Covid, we enjoyed the ambiance of the indoor seating too: plenty of sunlight during the day, and pretty light fixtures lighting the place in the evenings. I also love their eclectic collection of dinnerware!
D G
Ordered the Pompeii (pesto) pizza and eggplant parmagiana. So delicious and reasonably priced. Excited to try their other pizzas.
Paola Albanesi
Good Neapolitan pizza. Simple, quaint Italian-american. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
Lucy Stewart
Pizzeria Pulcinella was an amazing restaurant. Their pizza was amazing and the deserts were spectacular! One thing I would suggest is to add more flavoring to the Italian sodas (or at least the vanilla one?), because in my opinion, it was slightly bland. However, the whipped cream was delicious, and I enjoyed the homemade pizza crust as well.
Jessena Maish
Excellent little place! Recommended by a coworker and it did not disappoint! Great pizza! I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Seattle!
Amanda K.
Best pizza in Seattle. I’ve tried this place more than 10 times. Never disappoints!
Seda Harutyunyan
Small and cozy environment! The staff was very friendly and served well even though they are very clearly understaffed. The pear and gorgonzola salad that is on the specialty menu this season was absolutely wonderful with the perfect amount of roasted walnuts, and balsamic vinaigrette! The 2 pizzas we got were: Sorrento, which I subbed the mushrooms with sausage, and it was DELICIOUS! the 2nd one was Giovanni, and let me tell you... This was also so so delicious because of the bass sauce that was roasted pepper and pesto sauce.. Absolutely wonderful mix of flavors! The dough was so fresh and thin it would melt in you mouth! We ended our dinner with a pair of Cannolis and it too was light, airy and not too sweet.
I live only 5 mins away and this was my first time here, I will definitely be returning and will most likely become a regular!
One more note: you can see in my photos as I was VERY impressed to see the restaurant using only natural hay straws(saving the planet one less plastic at a time!) which I loved while I drank my perfect vanilla creamy Italian soda!
Cat Carey
The BEST pizza I've ever had and the salads OMG
Micah Clark
This place is small and intimate, excellent for date nights at mid price for incredible luxury and value. All the food was fresh and delicious and I can't wait to return. I rarely can grab wine, pizza, espresso, and 3 fairly priced and portioned appetizers but Pulcinella delivered that and more. Service was polite and timely and the atmosphere is well worth the drive from the inner city. 10/10 and I will be coming back.
Ines N.
Great pizza made in traditional wood fire oven, with quality ingredients! I tried the pepperoni and mushrooms which I now recommend. Also, the ambience is very cozy and interesting, the staff was super friendly and polite. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and intend to come back. Thank you!
Imelda Navasca
Ordered the eggplant parmigiana and pizza caprese. Delicious! I'm on a carb diet but made exception today to try their pizza. They did not disappoint me. Their waitress was super nice and friendly too. We had pizza dessert with nutella and raspberry as filling. I was in pizza heaven. Going back for sure.
Heather McDonough
Everything was good. It's a nice neighborhood pizzeria with friendly service. It's not something I would drive out of my way, but hit the spot when my friends and I were looking for pizza. I would not suggest the pasta for the price and portions. Stick to the calzones and pizza!
Ian Smith
Had driven by this place a lot and finally decided to try it out. Absolutely glad we did. Delicious pizza. Neapolitan style crust was done perfectly on a wood fired oven! Just loved it!
P TD
Delish! Totally exceeds expectations in service and quality of food. Nice atmosphere, staff is super pleasant, food is fresh and made with care. What's not to love?
Kirk Maringer
Love this place! Whenever I’m in the area I make it a point to stop in and get a salad & a wood fired pizza. The coffee is incredible too! Oh and the service is always fast and friendly.
Michael Mohoric
10/10 for pizza. Amazing beyond believe. Definitely try the desert Nutella calzone. It is its own experience
Julia
Great Newpolitan pizzas! I like it more than Tutta Bella a bit further north. Prices are comparable to similar places but I think they add more toppings than most. Had to take it to go after ordering 2 because they were filling. We got the Romero and Diavola and preferred the spice in the Diavola.
Cory Brubaker
My wife and I stopped by for lunch on a Sunday after a friend that recently moved to the area recommended it. We are SO GLAD she encouraged us to check it out. We LOVED the Diavola pizza and the nutella dessert (pictured here). The wine my wife chose on a whim was delicious as well. Really excited to come back again for more. Would certainly recommend to anyone driving by to give it a go
Trevor
Was here randomly for lunch takeout and will be back in the future! The pizza was delicious with a nice chew to the crust and fresh ingredients on top. The meatball sub was from the same crust and benefited from the taste. I look forward to exploring the menu more.
Frankie
First time going here and now I want to get my pizza here every time! Great flavors, you can tell the ingredients are fresh. We ordered a ceasar salad to share, delicious. For pizza, we ordered the Giovanni with red sauce instead of the pesto... so delicious. Such flavorful pizza, I couldn't stop eating it. We ate the while thing, but because it's thinner, I didn't feel too full or so bad about it. Great food and great service. You will not be disappointed if you stop in!
Nicole White
This place is SUCH A GEM. I had never been before and came in on a whim, and I'm SO glad. The pizza was everything I could hope for and the waitress was such a sweetheart. Quite, cozy atmosphere. Good food. 6/5 stars, for sure!
Ross
Never met a person who tried it and didn’t fall in love. Pizza is incredibly good.
David Nanista
One of the best pizza I've had. Probably in my top ten!
Jeanne Wicker
Love this place. The best wood fired pizza around. Quaint little restaurant. Service has always been great. Definitely recommend if you like Neapolitan style pizza.
M Phariss
My husband and I just moved back to the states after three years in Naples. We were excited to see positive reviews for a Neapolitan pizza place. We drove an hour and a half to eat here and we left fat and happy. The pizza was delicious and exceeded our expectations for a pizza place in America claiming Neapolitan pizza. The pizza didn’t quite capture some of the tang, height, and soft, chew we are used (likely impossible without Naples water). However, the sauce had the classic fresh acidity, the middle crust had the desirable thin/ wet center, the ricotta was on point, there were multiple Italian red wine choices, and espresso to end lunch. We ordered the diavola and Margherita pizzas. Will be making this trip again the next time we miss Napoli or are craving pizza.
Forza Napoli!
Betsy Papaly
Thank goodness pizza like this exists! So darn good.
Roger Kelley Rawlings
Such great pizza, and great service!
mark godsoe
This is hands down the best pizza in the area!! We love this place!
Jenny
Wish I like it but I Mediterranean was quite bland. I also prefer crispy crust
Kevin Condit
I was visiting from out of state and went for a walk.
This beer was delicious. I do not remember what kind it was.
The young lady working there told me it was made in Seattle though.
I did not have any pizza.
I will be back to Seattle in May and I hope to try their pizza at that time.
Alanis Nash (Lani)
Great pizza! I usually come here with friends and we share a salad and each pick a pizza.
I like that they have white sauce pizzas
Drew Steinmetz
Great pizza and friendly service. Got the margherita pizza and a Caesar salad, ate everything in like 5 minutes it was so good.
Sherly Coronado
I was craving some good pizza and apparently that's hard to find in this city. I'm so glad I came here. I had the Diavola. I'm a wimp for spice, so I could feel the heat a bit, but not enough to stop. It was a good mix of flavors. We also had the caprese and eggplant parmigiana. Both were good-sized portions. The staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come again.
Gene Trujillo
The brick pizza oven is so beautiful. Neapolitan certified which means 90 second cook time. The leopard spotting on my crust was a bit muted which indicates that the oven may not have been fully at temperature but the crust still held up when folded properly.
The wine pairing suggestion was lovely.
I took enough home to save room for profiteroles for dessert. Bigger than I thought but super yummy.
All in all a fantastic meal. Highly recommend.
Barbara Burbach
Found this gem after making a wrong turn. They were open for dinner early and it was a good thing because they were crowded by the time we left a little after 5p. Service was great although masks weren't worn consistently by all staff. Everything we had was very good. How you can make a simple thing like meatballs(antipasti) so good? Caesar salad was fresh & tossed with light dressing. We had ours with anchovies. We split the calzone, big enough for two to share. It was a different calzone in that it was flat. Could have been cooked just a tad more but maybe they intended for it to be runny inside.
Michael Demeule
Great meal all around! Hard the caesar with added anchovies and it was superb! Salty umami with high quality parmigiana. Polenta with roasted veggies was great as well. Had a pizza with smoked mozzarella, rapini and mushrooms (subbed for sausage) that was the perfect ending. Chewy, just charred enough crust, and with the addition of the table condiment of dried chili olive oil and it was perfection!
WAY less cost than many “Napoletana” wood-fired pizzas around Seattle. Dinner for two with a beer each came in at $47 before tip…and we had leftover pizza! This entire Vince’s Restaurant Group is superb. Each one makes you feel like a neighbor and a regular, even if it is your first time! High recommendation for all three of the restaurants!
shreya animesh
Very good food! Loved their pizzas!
Garret Hudson
Favorite pizza I've had in Seattle area. Fresh Italian pizza!
Deandra Frayna
Wonderful atmosphere, really nice employees, the food was just amazing and affordable prices. Was a 20 minute walk from my Airbnb.
Jaime Kalanick
Love this place! We are frequent visitors and the food is always amazing!
Sharon Clarke
Always great food and service. Small venue, and popular, so choose your timing wisely.
Evan Metcalfe
I'm sure it's the best pizza place in town! The personnel was courteous and patient with me. As I sat in their chair waiting for my order to be served, I realized that spending free time and hanging out at their home was wonderful and soothing. The pizza was both tasty and nutritious. I had a nice experience eating at their restaurant. It was very great. Until the next time, folks!
Demetria Ford
Service was top rate! The pizza pie selections are amazing they have something for everyone in your group. A fantastic wine list that compliments their menu. The Steamed clams are a must!!! Very clean and quaint. Perfect for a first date! Enjoy! I did!
Ignacio Muñoz
Amazing pizza! Please try it. Also, ask for the nutella pizza for desert is quite good.
E
I wish the pizzas were better. The oven is simply not hot enough.
Shirley Yeo
5 stars for their AWESOME service and kindness of the staff - our waiter and also the pizza maker were wonderful. Pizza is so subjective and it depends what is truly important to you to make your pizza sing! :) However, we were looking for a chewy cornicione (rim of pizza crust) on the inside and crispy on the outside. The best tasting ones are when they let the dough sit for 2-3 days that builds an incredible flavor profile. Wicked Pizza in Puyallup is still the best for that in the GSA (Greater Seattle area). Still on the look out for something closer! :)
Sophia-Marie Young
Called ahead for a reservation. Excellent experience, pleasant service. Delicious food! We always get the Pulcinella antipasto, pizza, and cream puffs for dessert. Very filling! Most people get one pizza per person, as they are about 12", but with the appetizer and dessert one pizza is enough for the two of us.
Nazmus Sahadat
It was a pretty good pizza place with some good wine options. You can sit outdoors with a great lake Washington view.
Kelly Kramer
OH MY WORD!
I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. I’ve never been to Italy, but I imagine this is as close as it gets for us in the PNW. This might be some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. The pizza sauce was incredible. The crust was perfection. The service was bar none. We had the Sorento #11 and I will probably dream about this pizza every night for the next week. The meatball appetizer was fantastic, AND THAT SAUCE, did I mention the sauce?! If you’re driving through Seattle, do yourself a favor and stop at Pulcinella…you won’t regret it…aside from when you’ve finished it all!! 10/10 would recommend.
Dominick DeBari
Authentic Italian pizza. The owners are nice and it's family owned. Pizza is always good. You have to get the lemon dessert too.
Mike Beckwith
This place has been on our list to try for years and we finally stopped in for dinner. So good!!!! Great quality, great service. Prices are perfect; our total bill was less than one entree at some restaurants.
Angela Furukawa
New favorite place! Service was great and the food was so delicious!!
Neeko Taylor
Really good. Homemade pizza and friendly service
Jody Collins
Always enjoy this place. Great staff. Outdoor patio a great addition.
Cass Stewart
Always good authentic wood fired pizza 🍕
Brieanna Beck
Always amazing customer service, a great place to eat pizza and drink wine! This is probably my favorite restaurant in the area. I really love the food and the atmosphere!
Carol Iwasaki
Delicious sauce!!! We had their homemade caesar dressing salad, meatball appetizer, margarita pizzas, and beers on tap. Long drive from the north end, but enjoyed their food. Appreciated small parking lot and a few outdoor tables!
Theresa Boslaugh
Wanna go to Italy... try here. Brings back so many pizza memories from Italy. Awesome pizza!
dave and terrie vestal
The best pesto pizza ever!! The cooks are the heart of the pizzeria. I have special requests and they go overboard to help me. We drive from Tacoma every week for take out.
Oksana Kravchuk
I liked this little Italy 🇮🇹place! So great food and friendly staff …
Jose Gomez-Elegido
Love this place.
Excellent pizza and salads.
Decent selection of wines.
Parking can be tricky.
E M
The salad we had was delicious and the canaloni was as well. Great service outdoors.
Later we ordered pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was perfect and the crust equally perfect.
Eve Kimm
I'm giving the customer service and staff 5 stars but as for the food? If you're from Seattle I get why you're giving it a 4 or 5 stars but if you're not from Seattle I give the food at least 3 or so. I'm sorry but it's ok in comparison to northern style italian or if you're looking for east coast this place I am so sorry but it's ok.
My partner got a mushroom Margherita and the mushrooms were clearly canned mushrooms.... like what..?
Liz Ramirez
Love the atmosphere, food, coffee, and service. We tried pizzas number 3, 5 8, and 13.
Lubana Lanewala
One of the best meals I have had in a long time!! We got the antipasto and vongole class for apps, the Ripasso wine, #11 pizza, and the lemony arugula salad. Spumoni for dessert and paired sooo well with the wine. Seriously amazing! Please go there
Maurizio Arnone
Good pizza, but far from the Neapolitan one. Anyway acceptable as Italian style pizza. Priced good
Amy Gesch
I stopped by here randomly a year ago on a work trip and had to wait an entire year to return. I have been thinking about Pizzeria Pulcinella since! It is now a planned stop when I am in town for work. It’s always been quiet at lunch, but there is a good lunch special. The add-on salads are a good size with a simple yet excellent dressing.
The lunch pizzas are a smaller size which is nice (I still end up with leftovers). The dough is perfect, flavorful and soft. I’m looking forward to my next visit and would not hesitate to return.
Ed Stefanski
This is my absolute favorite place to eat. They have certifiable 100% Neapolitan Pizza. All the ingredients are fresh and from Italy, have a fantastic flavor, which makes what seemingly is a simple Pizza just delicious. It reminds me of our trip to Italy which is about the only other place you can get this quality of fresh ingredients. The service and the quality is also consistently great. We have eaten here at least a dozen times and always get the same quality service and food!
Britt Emerick
Great customer service, and even on a busy night takeout was ready in 15-20 minutes. Delicious pies with high quality ingredients.
Alan K
A favorite, for years. Thin Neopolitan crust. Part of the family-owned Vince's.
Elizabeth Rapuzzi
Super fast takeout, great atmosphere inside and out. Pizza and toppings were delish but ended up pretty floppy in the middle- but toppings were just as yummy pinched up from the box as on the really tasty crust. Loved the red chili pepper oil served with the breadsticks too.
Cassi Mark
The food was so good. The staff was so friendly. I really enjoyed learning why the sign was upside down. I highly recommend if you want to go. The pizza easily feeds 2 adults plus a child. The pasta is single person and the calzones are easily 2 people courses.
If I ever visit again, I will come back.
Juan Mata
The best hidden spot too go eat traditional Italian. If you want to go on a date night with your spouse, and sit in a cozy ,romantic atmosphere, go there. I recommend the meatballs, or the cannelloni de Margo. The sauce, and the focaccia bread is to die for. Awesome every time, and oh yeah, don't forget the cannoli.
Jared Greiner
Really great unique pizza place. Good service even when they are crowded. Reasonable prices too. Have been several times. The meatballs are our favorite appetizer. Note that flat bread come complimentary which I didn't realize the first time I went and over ordered apps.
Christopher Young
Easily the best pizza place I've been to in the Renton, south seattle area. Super tasty, not to heavy on grease. So you don't feel bloated with heartburns like you would after dominos (don't get me wrong, I love me so good dominos).
Tried this place on whim and certainly did not regret. Folks running shop were organized and cheerful as an added bonus!
Brianna Burroughs
One of my favorite date night spots! If you're looking for a romantic place, look no further! The sauce and topping ingredients are fresh and delicious. The pizzas are made authentic Napoleon style, thin crust and the wine selection is great. Make sure to make a reservation, the place is small with limited parking, but it makes it seem a little bit more special. Worth the out of the way drive!
Will Lopez
Took my girlfriend here for the First Time last night. She really enjoyed herself. She’s half Italian, so I thought let’s try it out and see if the pizza is close to what she’s used to having when she visits back home. She said it’s pretty close and worth it. People should check it out. Prices are decent as well.
Kristen Deskin
Best Neapolitan pizza in the Seattle area! Very nice environment and no issue with parking. We celebrated a buddy’s birthday and enjoyed a couple different bottles of wine, I enjoyed them and didn’t break the bank. The coffee was on point and just the pairing for a cannoli to end a wonderful evening.
Pork-Chop Express
Damn good pizza. We were never told our pickup was ready so it sat for a good 45 minutes but otherwise, very tasty.
Barbara Kramer
Ambience, gracious service, authentic menu. What more can I say? Wood fired pizza. Perfection!
Stephanie Hodges
My family came here, which included my can't-sit-still niece and nephew. The service here was excellent. They checked on us, were extremely nice and friendly, and very quick (our food came out so fast!). Speaking of the food, everything we had was delicious. The pizza was so flavorful and the dough cooked to perfection.
Darren Hunter
Great pizza and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Excellent lasagna!
Timothy Ramsey
Always an excellent meal, we have been dining here for years. They are our absolute favorite for Mediterranean style pizza..
Ginger Larson
The staff were wonderfully sweet and accommodating on a last minute large pick up order, right before close. The food was spectacular from antipasti, pizza, and dessert. Can't wait to eat from here again.
Cathleen C.
Wonderful experience for our wedding anniversary ❤️ food and service was amazing, we look forward to returning.
Alex Olson
This place is my wife and my favorite restaurant. We have been going since it opened and have never had a bad experience. The pizza is true to the Neapolitan style, and I have yet to taste any other pizza that comes close to authentic Italian pizza. The service has always been great. The prices are fantastic. Amazing place and I hope the Seattle area realizes what a gem Pizzeria Pulcinella really is!
Nicholas Reynolds
Amazing food, fine espresso, wine list was huge, and had a great atmosphere. Pizza makers were top notch & friendly guys. Could watch them stretch dough and make pizzas for hours if they let me. Can't go wrong with this place.
Mark Wolf
Better than it should be for a slightly out of the way neighborhood restaurant. Really good wood fired pizzas and simple but generous salads. The whole place exudes friendly warmth and honest old school charm. No other place in the deep end of South Seattle comes close to matching Pulcinella's quality, service and value.
Teresa Golden
Food was good. Sad no more chocolate pizza, 😢.
Acacia Moore
This place is a awesome. I love the Caesar salad here, I would come here for it alone. We always order the margherita pizza and add garlic and pepperoni. Perfect for date night, and even with appetizers we still spend less than $50. Highly recommend.
Eric David
With a more traditional brick oven, great quality ingredients, and fairly interesting fare, this place is really a great pizza place. Great for a weekday or Friday date night, or getting together with friends. Family friendly but not dog friendly.
Miss Ninja Girl
After reading several great reviews from people that have traveled to Italy or are Italian, I told my bf that we had to try this restaurant.
We went on Friday night and got there about 7:30 pm. The restaurant was packed. The only available seating was at the bar, which I thought was perfect. It sat us in front of the kitchen and it was the best view in the house.
The staff was very friendly and was attentive to us. We started with the Caesar salad, meatballs with marinara sauce and foccacia bread. Everything was great. We could have just been happy with ordering just that and dessert. But we also had to try the pizzas.
The timing of when our pizza came out to us was perfect. After we finished our appetizers, we didn't wait too long for it to arrive. It gave us enough time to digest our food. We ordered the Margherita and Diavola. The pizzas look amazing. I loved the taste, ingredients and the crust. I'm not a big fan of Margherita pizza, but this one was great tasting and I liked it very much. I love the spicy olive oil and the pepperoni in the Diavola pizza. The owner came to talk to us after our meal. We told him it was our first time and everything was great.
For dessert, we got the mocha decadence cake. It was amazing! Yuuuuuummmm.
I would definitely come back and bring my sister here, who's been to Italy, and see what she thinks.
Review to be continued...

I had the Vomelo pizza and a black coffee... Fantastic food! Total cost was around $20 (+tip), and it was enough for 2 meals.
The staff were friendly and prompt; I never had to wait more than a few moments for any request, and my pizza was in front of me in less than 10 minutes. When I was ready to go, they boxed my pizza for me.
Toaster Spoon
Chewy and thin, my kind of pizza crust! My bf and I occasionally drive through Rainer Ave and for 2 years I always had this place in the back of my mind. Today, was the day and I ordered #11 Sorento and #7 Vomero. These pizza's are amazing. The Vomero has prosciutto, tomatoe suace, and arugula. At first glance, the vomero looks unappealing becuase it looks like a bowl of salad on the pizza. However, when I took my first bite the pairing totally made sense. The leafy arugula paired with the prosciutto created a soundly ensemble. Between the two, I would reccomend #7 Vomero becuase I love the leafy greens. One thing I enjoyed is the freshness and lightness of their pizza. When I say light, I mean that it doesn't make me feel heavy and the pizza is not greasy like some other places. Most their pizza are around ~$17 and then you can also do extra add ons.
I will definitely be coming back and trying more of their specialty pizza's! thank you Pizzeria Pulcinella.
Dylan
The taste was fine, but it had an odd level of doneness. The crust was very crunchy and even black where some bubbles had risen, but the center dough wasn't done at all. Even when I folded a piece in half the front half would collapse leaving me with a mound of cheese and topping on my plate and barren dough in my hand. Given the price of over $20 after a standard tip, I expected more.
Service was great. The lady who took my order really seemed to know about the menu, and she even knew some trivial facts about the restaurant.
Glad I tried it to satisfy my curiosity, but I doubt there will be a return trip.
Carl Albrecht
Great service, friendly, love the Polenta, nice salads and pizza
jennifer cearley
I've been here a few times and the food is always delicious and the staff is friendly.
Tracey Saur
Really great charming roadside pizzeria and the staff is welcoming and helpful. We sat at the bar area to watch them make the fresh wood-fires pizza. We topped off dinner with a Nutella calzone for dessert and it was delicious. I recommend going here for a date night or a small birthday celebration.
Kristi Merrill
We had a seat at the counter overlooking the pizza making which was a fun experience. We were seated and had delicious pizza and out the door in 30 minutes flat. I love the atmosphere and the pizza itself is worth the 45 minute drive for me.
Jean McAnally
Food and drinks is great! The parking space is limited.
Blaze Ruud
Best Pizza in Seattle, ties for my number one with the Masonry in Queen Anne
Calzone is the bomb. You will not regret getting this.
Their lunch is probably the best value in town
Staff is super nice, place is quaint and cozy. Very accommodating to well behaved children too.
Dan F
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent vibe. Amazing culinary experience from appetizer to pizza to dessert.
Brian Crowley
This place is a small hidden treasure... From beginning to end this place was amazing... Kyle is an outstanding server... Food was on point from the Antipasto to the salad, to the Gustosa Pizza and the cannoli... Everything was melt in your mouth delicious... I will be going back to try other delectable goodies from their menu...
Brandon B (Mesa, AZ)
Went here off a recommendation from my folks, and very glad I did! I tried their 8" lunch special pizza, and it was phenomenal! The crust was perfect, and I could not believe how fast they got it out to me. The rest of the pizza qualities were great too, of course. I went back the very next day and had their meatball sandwich. The focaccia bread they use for these is off the charts! I cannot pick a favorite between the pizza and sandwich, which coming from a "pizza guy" should say something. I have not been here for dinner as of yet, but I could see this being a great place for either family or date night.
John T. Oliver
During the social distancing, I Ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni, sausage, red peppers pizza, along with a meatball appetizer. Less than ten minutes later my order was brought out to my car. Fast friendly and the food was terrific. I will be back.
Jason Az
Great pizza! Good service and atmosphere+
Kent Hoffman
You'll notice that all non stellar reviews are from people that were expecting a different type of pizza. If you want authentic Neapolitan pizza (thin delicious crust, light sauce, few or no toppings) come here for the best in Seattle. If you want American pizza, go to one of the 500 places around town.
Doug Cisler
I really like this restaurant. They have a big wood fire oven that they bake their handmade Italian style pizzas in. All of their pizzas are wonderful. I've also had many other items on the menu like the Lasagna and have never had anything that didn't taste really good. The staff here is super nice and the service is quick. they also serve you really good tasting flatbread to start. Their salads are very good too. If you are in Renton Washington and looking for a good little Italian restaurant with good atmosphere and good service, this is the place to go.
Emery Wang
The staff is very friendly and very welcoming with the nice local mom and pop shop feel.
If you like Neapolitan pizza, this is one of the best in the Seattle area; the crust is soft and chewy and not over baked to the point it's all charred out like some other places. If you grab a seat at the bar near the oven, you can even see your pizza made in front of you.
Ellany Kayce
Excellent customer service and food was so good, and quick. Parking also easy. A lot of people also order and pick-up. Fresh pear salad, Mediterranean pizza fabulous. 😊 …
Nick Johnson
Amazing! The pizza (Mario and dessert pizza) was amazing. The food came out so fast. We had our food in less than 5 minutes. Amazing service. Couldn't recommend this place enough! I will be back.
Margaret Mahoney
Stumbled upon this gem while looking for a new house. The food was amazing! Great Italian flavors with depth to the sauces. The portions were large. I loved the crushed red pepper infused olive oil.
Peter Verbrugge
Nice local spot for Italian favorites. Enjoyed the Eggplant Parmeasan and ceasar salad, but pass on the meatballs
Scott Fiedler
Love this hole in the wall pizzajoint. It's a small intimate restraunt that's family owned. They cook the food in a giant wood fire oven in the middle of the place. It's super good with an inviting atmosphere and helpful staff. The food is amazing too!
Nancy Stifel
We drove down Rainier Ave looking for the Stone Lodge Restaurant....it was closed but luckily we found this Pizza Pulcinella. It was their upside down SIGN that got us to stop.
Anyplace that let's their sign stay upside down, must have a story to tell. Pizza is the story...thin crust, clear flavors in sauce, real mozzarella, not gooey goo. And patrons were all ages, all happy, a place to return to ...to try more than their pizza !
Jessica Jobe
Delicious and cozy little pizza place that is good for a night out between friends or on a date. They also offer some wonderful lunch specials. I highly recommend sharing the calzone. Reservations are typically not necessary but you can make one on the website.
Shashaank Yogesh
Great spot for authentic pizza. Recommend the Leo pizza
Rhodes Hileman
Authentic Neapolitan Italian food and ambience. Their own kinds of pizza. Good salads and pastas. I love the place.
Tonight I got a white bean and arugula salad, and a small plate of Italian sausage and peppers in a tomato sauce, paired with a Kaliber. All just right for me.
Terrence Adams
Delicious. Unique. Warm And inviting. I will be back.
Brooke Dickinson
This is a wonderful, warm neighborhood place with an upscale wine list and wood fired brick oven pizza as authentic as in Naples.
The owners also own the areas Vince's restaurants and via Marina in Des Moines, WA-great, friendly folks. All their restaurants are so very good and worth making a regular habit.
Richie Bernardo
Hands down, the best Neapolitan pizza in Seattle! My partner and I eat here often, and we've never had a bad experience. In fact, we've recruited many of our friends.
What's great about this place: Freshest ricotta and mozzarella, best house-made pesto, perfect crust, and generous portions (++). And you won't find better service — the staff here is amazingly friendly and hardworking. Come during a weeknight to secure a table, though they're great at honoring reservations. (Parking is available but can be tricky.)
What to try: The Giovanni for its unique red-and-pesto-mixed sauced, though the real star is the plain pesto pizza. I'm also very particular about calzones, which are hit-or-miss at many restaurants, but Pulcinella does it right every time. Cannelloni di Magro is to die for. The portion of that dish is probably right for most people, but it's so delicious that I can never get enough. And if you're looking for the best cannolis, this is your place. The ricotta in the cannolis is not too sweet and has a gorgeous, delicate hint of tang.
Go. Now.
Amanda Salazar
We are so lucky to have the best Neapolitan pizza in Seattle in our neighborhood! We get the Diavola pizza and an arugula salad. If we're feeling extra hungry, decadent or celebrating, we also order the dessert pizza (Il Segreto di Pulcinella)!
Christian Parris
Authentic wood fired pizzas. Fantastic atmosphere and service. The red pepper infused olive oil on the table is a must try in addition the the Italian sodas. Great idea for a romantic date. I am considering taking my wife to Seattle on a get-away, Pizzaria Pulcinella will be a destination.
Alexander Hamilton
Wonderful atmosphere, never too loud or overly busy. The meatballs are literally the best my mother-in-law has ever had! You can throw a dart at the pizza menu and be exquisitely satisfied, not a subpar one on the menu. All ingredients we had are fresh and full of vibrant flavor. As someone who puts the carnivore in omnivore I have to say some of the best smoked pepperoni I've had in a good long while. Though not the size of the pies compared to the dearly departed Picora's in Seattle, the sausage is as close to that heaven as I can remember.
My wife and I will be back monthly for date night to Pizzeria Pulcinella from here on out!
James Henry
We let Google pick this place on our arrival to Seattle. The salads, pizzas, lasagna and wine were amazing, oh great dessert too! Great service at 2:00 on a Saturday. I wish this place was closer to home in MN.
denise farino
Best pizza in the south end! Nice clean restrooms. Very friendly servers. Good wine selection. Our first time there but will definitely be back
Natalie Kays
Absolutely the best Italian my husband and I have had on the west coast. Definitely an unexpected gem that we will be returning to and referring all of our friends to. Amazing pizza, amazing pasta, even amazing bread and minestrone.
Doug Reece
The pizza crust here is very soft, and delicious, apparently made with a fine Italian flour. They make topping combinations that include fresh flavors such as basil, pesto, parmesan, roasted peppers, etc as well as the usual pepperoni. As my son says, the best choice is probably the light fresh toppings so that you can enjoy the flavor of the crust.
Save some room for the desert pizza at the end.
Ethan Miller
Loved their pizza. The environment there was great, really suggest sitting at the bar so you can watch them make the pizza right in front of you and the old school pizza oven was great to see in action. Would recommend trying.
Bethany Strodtman
We enjoyed this place. Very good pizza, good wine and good service. We were told that you could do half and half pizzas but it came out all one kind. Not a huge deal-still overall good experience.
Amber Schneider
Great staff & amazing wine pairings. The owner & his wife both came over seprately which made the service exceptional. The pizza was delicious- best crust ever! They have a house infused spicy olive oil that I have to recreate at home somehow. Also, make sure you leave room for the nutella calzone!!!!

I'm going to gush for a few paragraphs, so if you don't want to read that, the short version is that after many many years of trying all of the best pizza places I could find in the Seattle area, Pulcinella stands out as one of the very best.
Now on to the navel gazing.
Pizzeria Pulcinella is one of the current end-points of my 30 year quest (as of this writing, I'm only 33, but my love of pizza is life-long) to find the best pizza around here. I've browsed every "best pizza" listicle I could find, followed up on nearly every pizza recommendation I've received from everyone I've ever known. I've scrubbed google maps for pizza places and tried just about every place with a 4.3 or higher. I make note of pizza places I pass on the street that I haven't been to and look them up to see if they call out to me. I don't know how many pizza places I've been to, but I'd be surprised if it weren't in the triple-digits.
After all that time and all that pizza, Pulcinella falls squarely among a small handful of all-time favorites. The crust is absolutely bursting with character in a world where crusts are often a bit of a throwaway part of the pizza. Its texture is toothsome but never dry. The flavor of the wheat and oil mingle with the char from the oven in a way that jumps out at the taste buds more than at almost any other pizza place I've tried. The majority of heavily hyped / famous / trendy pizza places I've been to still don't nail the crust (cough, Mozza, cough) the way Pulcinella does.
At many places, pepperoni is pepperoni is pepperoni, and the same principle tends to hold true with the other toppings as well. If I had to blind-taste the pepperoni from most pizza places, I wouldn't be able to place many of them with confidence, but I'm confident I could pick Pulcinella's meats and cheeses out of a lineup blindfolded. The character of each is unlike what I've had at the vast majority of pizza places, and in a good way. Pizza toppings, even organic fancy ones, tend to be a bit standard-issue in their flavor profile. Here, everything tastes memorably unique. This principle extends to just about everything at Pulcinella. The Caesar is perfectly balanced between tangy, peppery, and funky. The chili oil is pungent and a little funky and straddles the line between bright and resinous, and so on.
I know that some would say I'm overselling Pulcinella. One person's all-timer can be another person's "meh" when two people of very different tastes share opinions, and this is no exception. There are no exceptions to that rule. I'm sticking to my guns here though. My answer to most versions of the question, "but what about [other trendy/hyped/well-reviewed Seattle pizza place]?" is "Pulcinella's better." And in the small number of cases where it's not, the answer is "I can't choose."
Matt Cutchin
By far the best Pizza, best people, and best atmosphere in the area! Of course you'll come for the pizza but must start with a salad, the are all great and are accompanied with fresh brick oven focaccia bread...you'll be so glad you did.
I often come for only the salad but always end up with a pizza....or more.
I consider everyone here either friend or family.
Lola Moody
Pizza was Amazing only thing better was the customer service I received, even placing my order over the phone was very warm welcoming! I’m from Detroit and whenever my wife and I visit we will definitely be eating here!
Nick Tarnowski
Difficult finding simple nice Italian food. This place hits the mark. Bread/crust is a 10. Sauce is excellent! Waitress (reezaly) just told me they import it from Italy. I believe it. Very good. Ate pizza yesterday, cannelloni italia today. Great service. You'll see if u dine here 😊 …
Richard Clifford
I'm from New York and so I know what good Italian food tastes like.
This place is the best in the Seattle area. You can drink the sauce (gravy as they call it back home) out of a wine glass it's that good.
Erwin Chung
This is cute little Neapolitan Style Pizzeria restaurant. Parking was easy, and food was good. I don't recall a place in Seattle that serves small clams like this restaurant does, but it's quite good. Their pizza was not bad too. The dough has a good kind of chewy texture, and their ingredients seemed fresh. We ordered the Pompeii pizza (pesto, mozzarella with prosciutto) and the Margherita with Portobello mushrooms.
Nora McLellan
This restaurant made moving away from Capitol Hill survivable for this long-time hill dweller. I had 3 pizza places within a short walking distance, but none of them were as tasty as this one. But their pasta dishes are not to be missed--their ricotta is out of this world.
KN Yurk
I am assuming new ownership due to recent remodel but not positive about that. When we attended, the staff was still being trained but things went pretty smooth. Place is nicely done and serves great food, not the type of pizza most are used to, but in a good way. Only drawbacks are the location can be extremely difficult to get in/out at certain times of the day due to traffic and parking can be somewhat limited.
Rob Jobe
This is my favorite pizza place in Western Washington! The wood fired pizza is out of this world good. I love all the varieties of pizzas available. Just about every time I'm in Renton or the surroundings I stop in.
Rambergwest
Wonderful food that is simple and very fresh. Well prepared and presented, this is my favorite place for pizza in the greater Seattle area. Have never had a bad meal here and the servers and staff are very friendly.
Frank Howard
The thin crust pizza here are to die for. It is crisp, chewy, and tasty. Opt for the cheese pizza and you're going to enjoy every morsel of it. I have been coming here for years and I have never been disappointed. If only all pizzerias could be like this place. The crowds here can get busy on the weekend.
Gregoir Johnson
I had high hopes after reading some of the reviews but I must say I was a bit disappointed in the pizza, perhaps only because my expectations were so high.
When I get pizza from a brick oven I want the crust to be burnt black in some spots. I noticed the pizzas coming out of the oven were pretty white looking so I asked that mine be cooked more crispy. Mine did come out darker on the top than the others I had seen. Mine even had a few small areas of black, but the underside of the crust was still not very brown. Maybe the crust is just a bit too thick to cook it like I prefer? It was more chewy than I wanted it to be. Roll it just a bit thinner and it may turn into a delicacy.
Beyond the crust, the pizza was just a bit too bland for me. The sauce and cheese were pretty sparse. That may be traditional but it misses the opportunity to add flavors to the pizza. The toppings didn't have a lot of flavor either. I ended up using black pepper, parmaesan, and the pepper oil they provide just to get the flavor up near where I wanted it to be. It wasn't a bad pizza by any means, but it just didn't have a big "wow" factor which seemed like a missed opportunity to me. Had I cooked this at home, it would have been drizzled with good olive oil before and after cooking and added some fresh basil and maybe oregano or marjoram.
The decor of the restaurant is very nice and the service was pretty attentive too. You won't get the professional service that you'll get in downtown Seattle, but hey, this IS Rainier Valley!
Will I go back? Maybe....
Alejandro Lucatero
Great experience, delicious food. Coffee was pretty good. The ambience is warm and cozy. Lovely waitress obviously loves her job. She's super nice and attentive.
Giovanni Severini
The atmosphere is a little bit too much stereotype-zed (in Italy you will not find that kind of furniture, tables and decorations in any restaurant any more since 40 years), however the food is very good. We had several different pizzas, all good, plus some "antipasti", also good, as well as the salsiccia and bell peppers. Also the lemon cream was at level and the espresso. The prices are fair and reasonable. This restaurant holds the certification of the "Pizza Verace Napoletana" (real Neapolitan pizza) which is a quality certification well considered. Maybe it's not the best pizza in the Seattle area, but for sure it's worth of a visit.
Javier Carballo
The best Italian restaurant I had been in WA, the service is excellent and the place is classic old style restaurant. The food is good too and is not too expensive.
Scott C. Brown
Amazing pizza!! Their salads are great, get one and split as an appetizer, they're perfect. Atmosphere is great, staff is wonderful, and watch the cooks make their magic!
Adam Appleton
Perfect Neapolitan style pizzas and a friendly and familial atmosphere. Gets crowded on weekends, but it's worth the wait. A weekday lunch is an even better way to experience this charmer.
Jessica Boespflug
They make great salads and bread and the class are good but the pizza is not my favorite and always seems a little undercooked
RN Drx
Ran into this place one day while walking my dog. Been visiting at least once a month ever since. Great food, lovely kind staff and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a part of the neighborhood.
Nicole Caldwell
I got a little sick afterwards, but I'm lactose intolerant and one lactaid doesn't help when they use real cheese! It was delicious and I can't wait to go again. Great festive atmosphere too to have a good dinner with family. They seemed authentically Italian here, too. The cannolis and all of the desserts we're surprisingly to die for!!
Erik Vazquez
I dream about coming back to this place. A little disappointed that they sold out of the minestrone for the day, but I can’t say I’m surprised. The pizza was phenomenal and one of the best I’ve had.
Madeline Di Giorgi
I felt like I was back in Naples again, this pizza is incredible! We loved everything we ordered.
Shanmugam Sriraman
Not a fancy place but pizzas were absolutely good. It was good that we over ate them. There is pizza with eggplant which my personal favorite. We ordered veg pizzas in this trip.
Matt Pistole
This place is incredible. The pizza is amazing, friendly staff and cool atmosphere. If you've never been you're missing out.
Leila Ferrigno
Only been a few times. Each time is always as good as the last.
My only complaint is that no matter where I sit, I always feel a slight breeze and am pretty cold the whole time. So maybe for anyone that gets cold easy, bring a hoodie or warm cardigan.
Great pizza, calzone, desserts, and love me some italian soda!
Rodrigo Prudencio
Finally tried this place. The dough is quality and the pizzas are the best napolitana style on the south end of town. Nice atmosphere, good staff, quick turnover (Low wait time).
John Hartman
Amazing and authentic Napolitano pizza in a great place. Decent price, awesome service.
Alma Munoz
slapping! Absolutely recommend this pizzeria. Quality ingredients. Great service. Awesome atmosphere. This place is great for a date night, or big family dinners.
randall tweed
Very nice experience
Will definitely be back for more
Pizza is outstanding, unique
Shawn Broadhead
Delicious pizza, good service, reasonable prices, and nice decor inside. My only complaint would be the view from the outdoor seating, but that's not their fault.
Michael Rennaker
Best pizza in Seattle. Get the Diavola or the Giovanni! House red wine is a montepulciano that goes perfect with the pizza.
Kelly McCandless
I was very happy with how quickly it was ready and with how tasty the pizza was
Reed Wilcox
My favorite Pizza of all time.. Been around the nation and no pizza is as classy...Try the wine pairing!! Absolutely the best!
Tamir Malik
Pizza here is one of the best I've ever had. Love the olive oil steeped in red peppers. Definitely a must try if you're in the area.
ushma patel
Excellent pizza!!!! Never had any complaints. Great quality food, good service and ambience. I would recommend this place to sit in front of the fireplace enjoying a glass of wine and pizza.
Miguel Eduardo Mármol
Excellent neapolitan pizza! Place is cozy, staff is very friendly and their pizzas are amazing. Very fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Vesuvio (with sausage and onion). Their Caesar salad is also delicious with a very good dressing. The salad comes with these pizza crust breadsticks with oregano and parmesan cheese that is bakes. They are delicious and a great complement to the salad. Definitely recommend.
Erika Enciso-Castillo
our fave pizza place, we made a reservation prior to our visit. Their employees are pretty amazing.
Franklin Bidwell
Awesome pizza with really flavorful crust. Service was excellent and a decent selection of wine that pairs well with pizza. Definitely will go back.
Peter Kwok
A gem in the Rainier Beach and Lakridge areas. Beautiful place with delicious pizzas. Great price for lunch special pizza good for two people. If you are in the area, remember to try it out.
Rebecca Younger
Hands down the best pizza and the best meatballs ever. Super cozy and inviting atmosphere and our server was fantastic! We can not wait to go back!
Derek Scanlon
My favorite pizza in Washington. Fluffy flavorful crust baked to perfection in their high quality brick oven. The dessert pizza is the most amazing thing.
Kamber Marie
PERFECT pizza! Good pricing with a wonderful staff.
Jacob Otstot
Love eating here with my girlfriend.. the foox is great. All the pizzas taste great and i love the chili sauce. Its a little pricey, but well worth it.
Mike Graham
This is a quaint little pizza shop that also has a great panini. The genuine brick wood-fired pizza oven makes some great pizzas. The spumoni was also really good.
Agyness Deyn
I've finally found a good Italian trattoria in Seattle. Pizzeria Pulcinella serves good food in an enjoyable atmosphere along with the one thing every great Italian restaurant requires, but few seem to have. Spumoni (I know its not traditional) Bellisimo!
Daniel Lindsey
I just started a new job in the area and I wanted to try out the local pizza joints. I've tried the rest, now try the best at Pizzeria Pulcinella. WHen I mentioned "The Rest" I mean I will never go back to these joints. Not because they can't compare to this place, but because I've gotten the worst service ever. One call to this place and already I can tell I'll never go anywhere else for pizza.
Thibault de La Grandville
Delicious. True italian pizza, you would get exactly this in Italy!
Tofunmi O
We sat at the counter so wet could watch the fascinating and super quick procedure of assembling our pizzas. The ambiance was very mellow and the food was great. I'd return any time.
Dane Ballard
This place is fantastic! The food is so good. They use the best ingredients, and from the appitizers to the main course, everything is delicious. An elegant place for dinner, but without pretentiousness or crazy prices. Its one of our favorite places and a true neighbourhood gem.
Joseph Paolini
I really enjoyed the pizza, and they have a small but solid selection of beers on tap. The meatballs were good, we ended up getting a second order.
Kim Anderson
Pizza was fabulous!! Our first time & definitely won't be our last...great service & a very enjoyable and relaxing dinner.
Kim Littke Hanft
The best pizzas that I have found in the South end. This place also has great wine and ambiance. I love watching the pizzas cook in the wood oven.
Michael P
Great pizza, both pizzas that I have had here have been top notch. They also have a fantastic selection of wine
Erik Mannery
Great pizza in a neighborhood that you wouldn't think would have a restaurant. Take the time to come down just south of Rainier Beach to try it. Wait staff are nice and the inside is well decorated.
Matthew Gilkey
Great pizzas and service. My wife and I enjoy the ambiance in general. With my first visit, this became my favorite Neapolitan pizzaria. I regret waiting so long to go.
Kris Lemley
Great pizza, great people, great vibe
Liv Guevara
Never disappointed with their food or their service. Local and Italian beer on tap, big wine selection, and just all around a great place. Thank you!
K J
Excellent local pizza place. The polenta is very good as well. Their beer selection is ok. It has a nice neighborhood vibe, it is easy to enjoy this place!
Dean Bonnell
The pizza is always great here! Carmen was a helpful and attentive server. I will definitely continue to bring new customers to them!
Dennis Tanner
Great service and food! Love the Leo pizza!
Sim Jhutti
Been to this cute little restaurant in quaint digs a few times now and I always leave with a happy belly. The diavola and giovanni are my all-time faves. The chilli oil is a must try!
Christina Holtom
Most authentic Italian pizza I’ve had outside of Italy! Great service and amazing food. Will be back again and again.
Ben Wallace
I'm from NY, so I'm picky about pizza, but pizzeria pulcinella has some of the best wood fired pizza ever.
Steven Heigh
Prices were high, but pizza is excellent. Definitely will go back. I guess you get what you pay for.
Suzy Banchero
Great food and service. Eclectic decorations and photos. Real Italian. Great wines and beers. Expresso. No reservations needed except evenings. Open all day 11:30 am to evenings.
Naomi Trepanier
They have a very warm atmosphere. The food is always amazing. But be aware this place is very busy at dinner time. Parking may be difficult to find and some times you have to wait 15min for a table but it's well worth it!
Alleine Dragonfyre
Their food is absolutely delicious. Try the calzone. We just add pepperoni to the perfection.
theLegion Within

It was a nice place food on the other hand was so so nothing to brag about customer service was very good. It was something to try while here in town. I give a 4 star mostly on the atmosphere and customer service. 2 star on the food.
Richard Springer
Real wood fired pizza. That alone should sell it. You can sit and watch the flames inside the big brick oven. I was mesmerised by the bubbling cheese on top of the meatballs. I have not been disappointed yet.
Sarah Cahan
I love this place. The pizza is so good. Service was fantastic.
Keith Carroll
If you haven't ever been here, you have to give it a try. It's a quaint place with amazing food choices, as well as dessert and wines. It's also wood fire, so it's perfect.

Went here for Valentine's day, the food was amazing and surprisingly cheap for the quality. They were also pretty speedy. I liked their oil it had a nice amount of heat to it.
