Reviews of Piroshki on 3rd
I had the beef and mushroom one and it was DELICIOUS. so yummy, juicy, and flavorful. One is good enough for two people for a heavy snack. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I couldn’t decide which one to try. I could see them making fresh ones in front of me and looked amazing
After being blown away once again by the incredible food here, I just have to leave a review! The vegan options are always so yummy, especially the specials! And this “Honey” cake. Don’t even get me started. It’s. So. Good. Do yourself a favor and try one of everything. For me.
yummy Filipinx-owned place!
kare kare was today's Filipino Fridays special, and it was amazing. the beef was tender, the peanut sauce was perfect, and the caesar salad balanced it out well. I'm not a fan of brown rice, which was the base, but the overall dish was still enjoyable! we also got the pork katsu piroshki and garlic beef asado piroshki. really moist pastry bread! note: they no longer serve italian soda 🥲 also, I still haven't gotten over people in food service not wearing masks, but that's a thing here
We had the chicken pot pie, garlic beef, beef, potato, and cheese, and Bavarian sausage washed down with a hot tea and iced mocha. Yummy! Totally recommend this place.
Good spot for vegan food. We got several savory items from here and the cinnamon roll. All vegan and 100% tasty. I’m so glad we have places like this in seattle where vegans can get good food rather than having to pick from the sides.
Would absolutely come back to this place.
Good variety of food, quick stop, people are nice. The sweet roll with chocolate inside I got was tasty. The beef was a little bland and dry but I liked the addition of the mushrooms. My favorite was one with cheesy potatoes with black pepper inside. The sweet and sour chicken one was a little rice/carb heavy in the filling, which made the inside a goopy rice-starchy texture. It was fun to eat because the flavors varied so widely. Parking is difficult. If I were nearby, I might return for another visit but I would mostly recommend the potato one and the chocolate one.
edit: added a photo that shows I was definitely at Piroshki on 3rd. i am thinking it might’ve been a “pinoyshki” if it had rice in it. i think it is not a good move to assume the customer is wrong or mistaken if they disliked an item you made…
Delicious authentic Russian pastries. Want to try their pelmeni next time, which is meat filled dumplings boiled in broth.
This is a Russian piroshki (bakery) shop. I got salmon piroshki and coffee latte. I paid total 13 USD. Piroshki was delicious and coffee was good.
Tasty european bakery items. Unique flavors and the items had a lot of filling (good!)
The decoration is nice and staff are welcoming.
As of today, only to-go orders. We were not able to dine in
Great spot for a piroshki! Was looking for a quick snack in downtown and stumbled across this vibrant, clean, bright cafe. Got the beer, bacon and cheese piroshki (which the cashier pointed out just won an award!) and it was delicious! Also got a day old chocolate croissant and it definitely did not taste like a day old, tasted fresh. They also have quite a few vegan options. The only con was the music was a tad loud but we also sat right under the speaker. I’ll definitely be back!
I ordered too good to go ($5.99) and got two beef and one chocolate in the bag.
I think definitely worth/exceed the expection based on the too good to go price.
The overall taste is good, the original price is $8.5 for one beef, which is pretty expensive.
Parking: You can find some parking spots on Columbia/Cheery ST, you can't park at front since it's the bus stop.
Safety: Lot of homeless people and strange smell on the street.
Amazing vegan options! I was so happy to see an entire row of vegan options, featuring Beyond meat, Field Roast hot dogs, and Chao cheese as well as potatoes and vegetable options. Even some vegan desserts! I had the vegan meat and cheese piroshky, and it was delicious. Will definitely be back to try more :)
I come in here weekly for lunch.
They have a variety of vegan options, with even a vegan honey cake.
They also have meat options.
They do not have gluten free options (as far as I've seen).
The employees are always very friendly.
They even have a flower wall if you want to take nice pictures.
Absolutely incredible! Great customer service. They work so hard. They are always at street fairs, I love the fact they are even on doordash! Excellent vegan options that seem to constantly be growing! Thank you!
I ordered the cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Absolutely amazing the flavor is consistent and every thing is fresh.. They have the best cabbage
rolls and parogies and fresh Pastries in Seattle.
Piroshki on 3rd is amazing! We held an event at their restaurant and I cannot say enough about how wonderfully kind their staff is and how amazing their food is. We had a large order of piroshkis, borchst, and desserts. Everything was fresh and of the highest quality. Simply stellar!
Nice attendance, delicious kulich and Bavaria sausage.
Delicious Purishki; I had a Beef/potato/cheese and a Bavarian sausage (yes, I was hungry). Filling and testy.
I really enjoy the garlic beef asado piroshki. I tried it with a little of the Hickory Bacon Mustard - very nice.
Very good indeed! Highly recommend this place! Great vegan options and super friendly staff. Give yourself a great treat with the vegan desserts as well.
I had the Vegan beef n cheese and the vegan potato mushroom cheese. Highly recommend the beef n cheese 👍🏻
Dessert was the vegan carrot cake muffin and ohhhh my goodness was it delish and looked so cool too! Certainly a place to behold with great vegan options and a flare all its own.
Super friendly staff and amazing food. Had the sausage pithivier and the beef/cabbage piroshki, both delicious! Plus excellent coffee!
Delicious vegan piroshkis!!! I was so excited to find out this place existed and I look forward to my next visit. I got a potato rosemary one and a vegan beef and cheese one. Both were richly flavored and so satisfying. Great for breakfast or lunch on the go!
Yum! They have a large variety of piroshkis, including 5 or 6 vegan ones. All the vegan ones I've had are amazing and they will heat it up for you. The dough is soft and fluffy and have beautiful designs, and the filling is always flavorful. They also have little cakes, and a vegan sticky bun that I saw; as well as coffee drinks. It's a great place to sit and eat away from a crazy crowd. Highly recommend for a cheap bite.
Far exceeded my expectations. It’s a good value for money when you factor in the quality. I had the cabbage rolls special and really enjoyed it. Next time I will order a half special and try other things as well. I’m not well versed in Russian and Eastern European food but you can tell it’s cooked by knowledgeable people who care about their craft and the quality of their product. I’ll be back many times.
I feel like this place is a tad bit overrated. We tried a few of the pastries and all were a bit dry and didn’t have a ton of flavor. It was also quite dirty and messy inside with lots of crumbs and stickiness all over the tables. Service wasn’t great, they seemed bothered by us being there and there appeared to be a homeless person sitting a few tables back from us. Perhaps it’s a different experience trying a savory item in the morning, but ours wasn’t great.
The piroshkis they have here taste pretty good, but they heat them up in small microwave ovens/ovens super quickly after you order them, so they aren't always hot on the inside. I'd recommend trying it out though.
UPDATE: I'm updating my review, since it's been 2 years or so. Upping the rating from 4 to 5 stars, because I do love this place. I started eating non-dairy exclusively since my last review, and the fact that this place serves vegan piroshki is the best thing. They have a bunch of options too -- vegan beef and cheese is the BEST. I love that they even have vegan desserts.
Also, there actually has been a marked difference in the heating up of the piroshki since I wrote my last review -- bonus points both for the better heating AND for listening to feedback!
Highly recommended; I come here every so often even though it's not the cheapest to get the vegan piroshki (always worth it!).
Wonderful quality food with satisfying flavors. You can tell it is fresh, and the service was very prompt and kind. Definitely recommend stopping in. I enjoyed it so much that I returned to pick up some goodies for my flight out. I thought that it was also considerate for them to keep vegan and vegetarian options as well. One of my favorite finds from my visit downtown.
very yummy soft dough (i’ve been to other places in WA and their dough isn’t as soft)
as you can see, they don’t skimp at all on filling (other places, you get 1-2 bites of bread before you get to the filling). this is the basis of my rating. only wish it wasn’t in the gross part of seattle.
It was okay, they were out of all the good stuff. Beef and mushroom was okay, but I won't be ordering it again. The poppy seed roll was not good at all, skip it. I would have loved to try the honey cake but they were out of both the original one and the vegan one.
This is definitely a cafe straight of Europe. Love the new remodel... the truly captured the quintessential essence of a true European cafe. They have a great selection of food and delicious coffee as well. They even have a photo booth area!! You can go all out for the gram lol.
Love this place! Staff is always very friendly. The piroshki variety is diverse. Delish. They reheat very well if you get them to go!
Does hurt I have a bus switch stop right out front!
Friendly, good food. Plenty of meat and dairy for those who want them, but also several good vegan choices (which is why I’m there).
Delicious food, nice sitting area, calm
So many vegan options. I highly recommend the v. "Philly cheesesteak". Has a nice kick to it.
This is first time I am in Russian restaurant and trying food. They have lot of vegetarian options. Everyday it change so depends what you get. I tried beet soup , broccoli and cheese , potatoes and cabbage piroshkie. All three items are good . Soft nice and tasty. Staff is really welcoming. Place is clean . Average noise. Not that crowded or queue. Definitely worth give try if here around for lunch.
Best honey cake ever!
They have Russian cold soup in summer which is very refreshing! Very similar to Persian Obdookhiar!
This Russian-Ukrainian bakery has a lot of delicious pastries. My two favorites are smoked salmon and beef with almond & cranberry; the latter is what I ordered and the beef is very lean. See pic. Friendly staff and the grandmothers are always making new pastries. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or snack time.
So glad I popped in for breakfast. Best piroshky I have had in Seattle. Great service.
This was my first time eating a piroshki. It was the best thing I've eaten in a while. Pulled pork was my flavor. A lemon bar to top it off made for a great experience complete with great service.
This place serves my favorite borsht. Way better borsht than Piroshki Piroshki. Very beet-y.
Their piroshkis are more bread like than pastry. Very hearty.
Around my office they are best known for their deserts. Their cake slices are giant. I've actually shared a piece with a co-worker and we barely finished it all.
Staff are great. I like that they support LBGTQ and Black Lives Matter.
Friendly service. REALLY lovely food. The bread in the piroshkis is perfectly fluffy and browned on the outside. Wow. I had the spinach and cheese, and potato mushroom. Both were so good!
Good food and many varieties of rolls. One of Triple D recommendations from Guy F. Would definitely recommend.
I smile just thinking about their food.
I love the Vegan Seattle Dog, The Vegan Beef and Cheese, and the Tofu & Mushroom Sisig
The couple who works here (one is also a teacher), are phenomenal, absolutely worth putting up with the otherwise cold, stagnant, and unwelcoming atmosphere by the remaining staff.
High quality savory bread! Great addition for my lunch:)
Very good taste but a little expensive
Fantastic food, friendly faces and great environment. If i could give ten stars, I would!
The quality of pastries, pierogi and pelmeni is phenomenal. Everything is homemade, made from scratch and very filling..my favorite items are the soups and pelmeni for lunch. The pelmeni chicken is stuffed with mounds of meat and very filling. If you're hankering for a full meal try their lunch specials.
We love piroshkies and Seattle has great piroshkies, but there is only one place to get the Pinoyski and it is excellent! It is a mouth full of great flavor and texture. A definite must try that we will be going back for!
The people were so sweet and the service was great. The Piroshki were very good, I think I'm just not used to much food without lots of seasonings so it wasn't my favorite.
The place is nice and clean. The food was fine. Hoped to be better…
The honey cake is out of this world. I think they said it is actually apple hunee so it is vegan friendly. The savory piroshkis-- I ordered three, thinking I would spread them out over three daysbut no. I ate them all at once and I am glad I did. I got the potato and mushroom with cabbage.
When I was in there last, the woman behind the corner said the crime in the area was getting pretty scary and out of hand and she was considering closing for the while in hopes the city helps out. I have to tell you; I and many others would be really sad if we lose this place because it is not safe the for the employees. I hope Seattle gets it together. This is the kind of place the city should be doing everything it can to keep in town.
I have been patronizing this place for 20 - 30 years, ever since it was Piroshki on Broadway. Still as good as ever, although the original owner is long gone. It remains as one of the best places for breakfast and lunch downtown. If the new owners read this, please bring back the shortbread pastries, I know they weren't good for me but they were addictive.
Wanted to try this place and it did not disappoint! The Garlic Beef Asado is really good. Will definitely comeback to try the pelmeni!
Check out their lunch specials! Haven't tried a Piroshki yet but will do that soon as they look tasty.
Really great tasting food at a very surprising price. It will become my go to restaurant whenever I'm in downtown
The pioshki were so good! I had spinach, mushroom, cheese and also a barvarian sausage one.
This isn’t’t a vegan restaurant but they have great vegan options which I so appreciate as someone working nearby in Pioneer Square! Thanks for making my days easier and if you can please bring back the vegan Seattle dog piroshky as a permanent staple!
Great food, great pastries, worth a visit for anyone in the area.
Beautiful artisans pastries with delicious fillings. Friendly staff.
Truly some of the best pirozhkis I've had. I got the potato and mushroom one and the smoked salmon and cream cheese and those were delicious.
I tried the borsht as well and it was very good
Really friendly place, food better than the joint near Pike’s Market. Room to sit down and enjoy the meal. Had the beef and cabbage, the salmon and the borscht was great. The fallopian of sour cream adds a nice extra flavor. Friendly and helpful, way better than the tourist traps. Just up from the Harbor and Pioneer Square.
Always go as early as possible. Try the borscht, you won't regret it. If you want a hot lunch ready fast and good for traveling, this is your place.
This place is amazing! The staff (so sorry I don’t remember their names) we’re so delightful, and helpful! Will definitely come again!
This has been one of my all time favorite eateries in seattle since I was a kid. I loved the authentic pastries, the Russian grandmother folding dough in the front, the very humble diner setting, and the focus on consistency. Unfortunately as an adult most of my days off have been Mondays so my visits were few and far in between. I went in today immediately noticing the new atmosphere and the new age look and the case arrangements and selections were considerably different. Normally when new management comes along I'm very skeptical, but I love this business so much I set my skepticism aside and to some extent, I'm glad I did. The counter staff was very friendly and helpful and an all over great employee, especially for running solo. The asado piroshky was delicious! The warming peppery beef was incredible! The pork belly was just ok- very sweet and cinnamony. Chicken pot pie had very little filling in it. The traditional ones I got aren't what I was expecting- good, but not what they used to be. All of the piroshkies I ordered had a very thin top and about an inch and a half of dough on the bottom part that seemed half baked. It's definitely not rolled out the way they used to be- an even half inch of dough all around and lots of filling.
Overall I think this place has lost a lot of originality and uniqueness. It's iconic vibe has transformed into something that can be found all around Seattle. Don't get me wrong, the Phillipino piroshky was a total hit, bit when you come in expecting the product you've been coming in for for years its a bit disappointing to learn something that had a good thing going has been changed indefinitely. Good to know there's another phillipino bakery I enjoy, but I'm grieving the loss of the best authentic piroshky in all of western Washington. There's a place on first hill and a place in Everett that come close, but nowhere near what piroshky on 3rd used to do.
This place is great! The piroshkis are fantastic, from the dough to the filling they are outstanding! The staff is also incredibly helpful for anyone not familiar with Russian food.
Food usually good, although I guess I may not be the target audience; since most of what I saw in the case for sale; most of the pirozhki were beef which is fine, but I usually eat other meats and even vegetables. Those type of choices were very few. Also I'm annoyed that they are not accepting cash, since that is how I get paid the few hours I'm working. Put a sign up "charge only " or something so we don't waste each other's time.
It's my favorite place to eat lunch I eat there every day. They are completely phenomenal not just the food which is handmade all of it good wholesome food. But the ladies that cook are the best. Go in and try out bowl of borscht, and a chicken cheese and broccoli piroshki. Handmade and painted with butter. if you try it you'll never go anywhere else.
Disclaimer: Review only for the vegetarian/vegan menu.
Located right next to the very first Starbucks location at Pike place market is this Russian bakery you can hear and smell a block away.
Tried only their Vegetarian/vegan savory pastries and they weren't bad but not worth the hype.
Expect a line and about 15-20 mins wait time when you go there.
Amazing polish food! Happened to stop by and grab a few items. The food was incredible but giving it four stars because the service was pretty poor. We had a fairly large group (6) and about half the orders were either forgotten or came out late. Pretty small place so it's surprising that you could forget about a large party.
The Food is so tasty, staff and new owner seems really nice. Visit the store on Madison too.
I had mentioned that they had gotten my order wrong the time before that I had gone in there which was the day before and they gave me what I had ordered this time for free which was really kind of them I appreciate it a lot
because I don't have a lot of money and I plan on eating there as much as I can and as often as possible the food
there is definitely very good and has a lot of love put into it
Food was incredible service was great. Piroshki had a light flakey crust, warm delicious filling and a nice golden appearance. They had a beautiful assortment of pastries and some wonderful vegan options. Say hi to the nice guy with the red beard and cool industrial for me
Pretty good little lunch place on 3rd ave for various eastern European dish and pastries. Good for grabbing some piroshki to eat on the go, or have some hot dishes. They have a rotating special, and some always on the menu dishes like stuff cabbage and two type of dumplings. Pretty affordable prices and quick services. The pastries look really good, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.
This place, its food, and the atmosphere are truly amazing! Their baked goods, as well as their lunches, make me come back whenever I'm in the area! I also love the fact that the ladies working in the open kitchen are so nice and kind, and sort of enigmatic! They are real "Russian piroshki pros" putting their entire hearts into this delicious food!
borcht is top notch, delicious and beautiful piroshki ... Borat like verr much! ;)
I ordered the daily special: the beef goulash which came on a bed of mashed potatoes and accompanied by a salad. I was very impressed with the quality of the meal and it was delicious. My daughter's piroshki was also extremely tasty. I had a bite.
A vegan’s dream, their vegan options were so hard to choose from because they all sounded amazing. I didn’t realize how close they were when I was stuck at jury duty, but I’m so glad I realized it. I ordered a few things off the menu and wish I lived closer! A must-try quick eat for all vegans! (They are not a vegan joint, they have much more available for meat-eaters).
Definitely delicious. So much better than the breakfast options at the hotel I was staying at. Well definitely come back the next time I'm in town!
All of em were delicious! I got em hot!
I never knew what a piroshki was until I was assigned to a tech project at Swedish/Providence. One day at lunch a bunch of the guys came back with these closed sandwiches that looked and smelled amazing. The next day I gave it a shot and got hooked. The food is delicious and even though it's pre-made, still tastes fresh every time. There are probably 15-20 different choices, each with a unique look. Most of the guys on the project were hooked on the beef and potato, which was my second favorite. I personally enjoyed the mushroom and spinach one the most. This is a small hole in the wall cafe, so if you go during lunch rush, the odds of finding a seat are slim. The owner is friendly, the food is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
EDIT: The prices here have risen quite a bit and it's no longer affordable. It has become more of something you can do every so often. You essentially are now paying $6 for what amounts to a glorified Hot-Pocket.
The most authentic Russian food you'll find downtown! They've got a great selection of authentic and non-authentic piroshki as well as many other great dishes. A great stop for lunch or good to grab and go on the way home for dinner.
A nice Russian family makes you feel welcome at their establishment. You can get several varieties of Piroshki (dough stuffed with something interesting), a good breakfast omelette, espresso drinks, and more. Don't just rely on the board, ask for a menu. There's usually adequate seating, just not for a large party. I usually stop here when I'm in the neighborhood.
Saw the sign saying Vegan piroshki, and had to stop and try. We tried all 8 Vegan options and was blown away at how amazing they were!!! A few had sauerkraut and my wife doesn't like sauerkraut and she loved these!!!
Stop here and eat!
The vegan options were absolutely delicious, definitely coming here again!
Many vegan options now. I used to come here years ago, when I was omnivorous. Then I went vegan. I didn't go back assuming there was not much for me. Then last week I saw their A-board on the sidewalk, and saw 'spicy fieldroast'. Stoked, I went in and saw 6 vegan options! I've tried 3 of those so far. All were fantastic!
This place is absolutely amazing! The uniqueness of their menu is so original, and the flavors that are put into the food??? You can taste the love as if the people making these for you really genuinely love you! They open early too, like 0600 or 0630 so get in there eat!
I got a chocolate proage. Which taste amazing may I say. The service was as amazing as their food. I came in thinking I had enough on one of my cards, I was sadly mistaken. But then my cashier saw my saddened expression, payed for my slice and gave me the rest of the change. He was so sweet. I will definitely be back!
If you have never had a Piroski it's a treat. A pastry stuffed with cheese, salmon or sausage. Very good! The very friendly staff even gave me a cookie with my coffee. I recommend you try it!
We got to see "Mamma" working hard in her kitchen. Very friendly employees, felt like I walked into a little Russian bakery filled with joy.
On a cold and rainy (surprise!) Friday, we popped in here for lunch, looking for a little cafe with sandwiches and hot beverages. We had both the chicken, broccoli, and cheese peiroshki as well as the chicken pot pie lunch special and they were absolutely wonderful! The perfect lunch spot. Great people watching in the bay window seats too!
Before the "renovation," I used to love this place - the chartreuse walls, art prints, European atmosphere - and of course the food. Now it's a weird combination of Filipino and Russian. The good news is that the Russian food appears unchanged, except for the "Filipino flavored piroshki." The pastries (and the woman making them in the window), the lunch specials and the borscht seem the same. The ambiance is now generic pastel ticky-tacky, although the woman next to me thought it was "fresh." I'd like to say that the young bearded gentleman at the cash register couldn't have been nicer. Still, because I used to go there for both the food and the atmosphere, I don't think I'll go back.
A favorite of mine in downtown Seattle. Something about the food was tasty and filling yet didn't weigh you down or give you post-lunch itis. While I'm not familiar with Russian food, the borscht was a simple yet pleasing and satisfying meal. Their spinach zrazu (?) was also tasty.
Delicious and varied pastries full of delight. Decent coffee, good wifi and friendly/helpful staff. Lost my headphones and guy behind the counter helped me look for a while. Super nice!
Pastries are filling and a Seattle classic.
So good! I had one for breakfast while I was in the area for Jury Duty and it was so good I had to go back and get 2 more to take home and "share" with family. I think my favorite one was the spinach, egg & cheese. And the people are wonderful!
I came here for lunch one day and had a priorski with potatoes and mushrooms. I loved it. Within the last two weeks, I have been back 3 or 4 times. Every time I went there, I tried something new. Like their soup, borscht. The soup was reddish/purplish in color because of the beets. There was also cabbage and kidney beans in the soup. But my favorite thing was their special-the beef served with hand-cut potatoes. There were two options on their special that day. One was chicken and the other was beef. I wasn’t sure which one I wanted, so the cashier suggested that I try both. A dish with half and half! What a great idea! The chicken was stuffed with spinach and garlic and served over mountain of delicious mash potatoes. But my favorite was the beef because it was so tender, flavorful and juicy. The hand-cut potatoes that were served with it were cooked to perfection-toasted on the outside with a soft fluffy texture on the inside. There was also seating here.
EXCELLENCE at it's finest!! Extremely charming & friendly staff helped my online mother's day order . Made a perfect timed delivery with a beautiful box of luxurious and delicious pastries. Definitely went the extra mile in every possible way. Thank you SO very much! You made this a very special mother's day for all of us. You are bookmarked for future business ! Happy greetings from Germany.
I love the variety of vegan piroshkis at this place! And they rotate options in, so there's always something new to try. A very reasonably priced and quick lunch on a work day.
FANTASTIC locally owned business with delicious piroshkis! And they have an extensive line of vegan piroshkis (I’ve seen 4-6 types every time I’m there) a rare and exciting treat! It’s great that they make good alternatives created with care- you can really tell they don’t just slop something together to check the box, but they really take pride in what they serve!
Delicious!! I love the chicken with rice and curry..the beef and cheese..and the beef and onions. All melt in your mouth..yuummm. Havent got to try the apple cinnamon roll yet..its always sold out when i go..but they got my vote!
No wait time, staff was very nice and food too tasted good. It's incredibly cheap too. Bread was actually slightly sweet which I didn't like but I guess that's Russian style.
Nice lunch place. Pirozhki and other Russian foods. Nice staff. I had a beef and cabbage one. Quite good. Their pirozhki are shiny golden brown with ornate designs in the dough. Well worth the visit
The best piroski place in my opinion and I have been coming here for about 10 years. I love the owner and staff and the quality of the food. Their piroski dough is the best I have had (blend of chewy but not doughy and a hint if sweetness but not overly). Occasionally they make the most amazing honey bread and it is AMAZING!
It has been a while, but I had smelled the fresh rolls coming up and it was too much for me, I had quickly find a parking space get some. Very good, just wish it was closer to where I live, do not get to Seattle so often any more and my mouth is watering just thinking about them.
Good food but I wasn't overwhelmed with deliciousness. Staff were friendly enough but all business. Prices are great and variety is excellent. We were in and out with takeout within 5 minutes during the lunch hour (had our food warmed).
The place is good. Friendly staff. Great variety of pastries. I've heard that their blueberry tart is to die for. But they didn't have at the time I visited! :( I will visit again though
Looking for piroshki but don't want to wait in line down at Pike Place? Here's your spot! The new rennovated interior looks great and the food was fresh and tasty. They offer a few entrees and soups in addition to a few varieties of piroshki
I will be craving these frequently, I can already tell. Fluffy, savory pastries with filling... fillings 😀
Update: Google forwards me directions every week now, I come so often. The broccoli chicken cheese makes a great quick lunch, but there are vegetarian options too.
Ive started to stop by here for "dinner" early in the morning on my way home from working 3rd shift. Cute and clean shop interior, tasty piroshki with a good amount of filling to bread ratio. The younger Russian lady (blonde) is very nice, and though the older lady (maybe owner?) is kinda grumpy, there always seems to be one in every quality piroshki shop. Each time I've been many fillings seem to have mushrooms in them so if you're not a fan of mushrooms like me then your choices may be limited, but that just might be the days I've gone and I didn't add that into my rating since it's my own personal taste. I can't wait to try some of their desserts, they look great. I'll also have to try the other savory things on their menu as well, particularly the borscht. They serve cafe vita espresso which is common in Seattle but always good.
Eating here feels like I'm eating one of my Bubbe's meals. Seriously. I had the best borscht (sour cream served on the side!), and the staff are informative and kind.
Very delicious and fresh! Friendly and personable staff.
I love that they have vegan piroshkis (they also have vegan/gluten free pierogis). My favorite is the Seattle Dog (field roast with vegan cheese and sauerkraut). The only thing with the vegan piroshkis is that they don’t have all of the different types on any given day. But they usually always still have good options!
Good piroshskis in a variety of styles. Makes for a quick and easy lunch. My soup came out Luke warm so make sure to check it’s hot.
My piroshki was great.. They had a limited amount of choices in flavor due to the one I wanted being sold out. Overall the piroshki I had was good. Environment inside is welcoming and pleasingly simplistic. It's next toy job and I will be back. If I was able to get the piroshki I wanted, I would have definitely given this joint a higher rating. Maybe next time....
Their borscht, oh god it's good. Do yourself a favor and get it here and not pirozhki pirozhki, where you will be served some scary watery stuff with gray firm shreds of potatos. But here, now, you will get some intensely flavored beaty, beany, sour creamy, herby deliciousness. AND thank heavens it is vegetarian--but it doesn't taste like it! And if you love yourself get one of the apricot pastries. Oh and also their salmon pirozhok is way tastier than that of pirozhki pirozhki. And you won't get trampled on by tourists (pike place) or hassled by crazy people (the pirozhki pirozhki thats also on 3rd, up north a few blocks, close to the scary mcdonalds).
They have (multiple) vegan (non dairy!!) Options!! Which is great for lactose intolerant people like me who cannot seem to find a quick breakfast food thats not smothered in cheese or butter. Every cafe in Seattle sells the same brand of breakfast sandwiches and the only non dairy option is a burrito. This place is a much needed change from that. I'm not vegan I just dont want to have cramps, bloating and other side effects all day. So happy they started offering these piroshkys. There's about 4 options, 'beef' and 'cheese', potatoe and 'cheese', cabbage, potatoe and rosemary. But get there early people are learning they have options now. They will heat them up for you, warm is the best wat to eat them. I also get a coffee to go when I'm there.
Delicious and easy takeout options as well as some dining in availability. The biscuits and gravy option was savory and delicious.
Vegan selection is excellent. It is obvious that the vegan menu was thoughtfully crafted and well planned out. The vegan items are not an afterthought. Really outstanding stuff
Their piroshky is absolutely scrumptious. The bead is soft as a pillow. A great balance of slightly sweet bread with savory filling. One is more than enough to fill you, but you'll be tempted to try all varieties if your stomach allows.
We tried a number of items and shared them. Our favorites where the Ham, Cheese, Bacon Piroshki, the Apple in Butter Flake Crust, and the Eclair. This is a great place to come to with the kiddos! Excellent!!!
It's likely that our experience was lower then what it might have been because we walked in quite late (about 3:30pm on Saturday). The cafe was empty, besides one homeless guy sleeping at one of the tables. Selection was very limited. Quality of pelmeni and pirogies was good (although we tested better). Interior of restaurant is quite simplistic. It is one of few restaurants serving Russian cuisine in Seattle.
Nice place with slavic really good taste. I ordered borsht and it was good. Also you can ask about cheap «bread» — it will be no any filling inside and it's very delicious.
Wanted to try this place because it was featured on triple D. Piroshky items are OK though a bit pricey. I can basically get the same or similar items from a Filipino bakery for roughly half the price. Did not get any of the pastries so I can't comment on those.
It's a pleasure to visit this cafe after working an eight-hour shift. The small cup of coffee with a free cookie nurtures me. The food selection is unique so stop by and eat a meal
Piroshky on 3rd is a great place to get these popular Russian pies. They are located conveniently right in the middle of big shopping and tourist areas in downtown Seattle. They have plentiful vegan options and are known for amazing baked desserts. They offer traditional Russian-style fillings, as well as creative fusions with other cuisines, which are equally delicious. The bread/pastry part of the piroshky is especially good and makes these pies just as tasty as the real deal in Russia.
Absolutely excellent. Cannot recommend enough. So tasty. Bacon and egg piroshok is delicious!
I have no idea why this gem of a place doesn't show up online in more Russian fare searches. I had to stumble on it while transferring buses downtown. It's best known for its piroshki, fresh and beautiful with savory and sweet choices (including multiple veg). The pelmeni are why I will go back whenever I can, though. The ladies who run it are thoughtful and fantastic. I'm so grateful this place is there. No pork.
Borscht!!! Baklava!!! Meat and veggies baked russian things!!! I’d eat here everyday. 4 stars only cos the service, on this my first visit, was cold and i got that you’re not white or well dressed be wary vibe but hey this is Seattle... also it’s location is rife with the less fortunate of our society, so i do get it, but still... Hope to return many times travel permitting.
Excellent food and friendly fast service!! Love this place!
Staff was fantastic, super friendly and helpful!
We went here expecting a simple breakfast but the food here was amazing the fries are the best ive ever had. I dont do reviews normally but the food was so good i felt like i would wrong them by not leaving one.
Munchies needed. Munchies required. Piroshky on deck without having to enter the market again. Honey Cake is uppity-up. Swedish Meatball is so very utsökt.
So good and authentic and you must eat here
Piroshki's are absolutely cooked to perfection. The staff was super friendly and willing to bake us the Piroshki's we wanted. The wait was worth it. Definately stop in if you pass by.
The closest you can get to Russian food in the Central area of Seattle. Other Piroshki stores in Seattle serve bland American pastries pretty much and fake soup. This one also serve real Russian dishes on top of the real Russian pastries, and the real Russian soup.
The savory treats were great and reasonably priced! The sweet treat I had, a nutella babka, was kind of dry and not too flavorful.
This is my absolute favorite place to get Piroshkis in Seattle. I've been to a lot bakeries that specialize in Piroshki making as they are one of my favorite things to eat and you can't top Piroshki on 3rd.
We visited this place and while the food was ok. The restaurant which had been open for over an hour was not ready to service people. Coffee creamer wasn’t out. The napkin dispenser hadn’t been refilled from the night before. We wouldn’t have come if it wasn’t a DDD location.
I just love this place, management is kind and fair, the food is to die for and the atmosphere is like a coffee shop (they also sell coffee). I've tried piroshkis from other restaurants but none have as much love cooked into them as this place.
Bartender was rushing and served cold lattes in the afternoon. With such competition in town, Idk why people provide poor service for same price as other places with great service. Not coming back.
In addition to the excellent piroshkis and other bakery items, even the Russian breakfast omelette was very tasty. This is one of our favorite places on 3rd ave.
Really great food! Lots of vegan options.
The deserts here are really good. My favorite piroshky is the pizza one. The Bavarian sausage one is ok. The inside has a cozy feel to it.
I had heard of piorkowski from some Russian friends of mine and I happened to be walking by the piorkowski restaurant on 3rd and Pike so I decided to try it one and like a fish I'm hooked they are awesome can't wait to try some of the others real deal
Might have been the mid afternoon, but the piroskis are much less good when they aren't fresh. The one in pike place has a crazy line, but it means every one you get is very fresh.
The best piroshki I ever tried in United States 😁 ochen vkusno! …
Special hours right now, but their piroshkis will knock your socks off! You can put in your order to go and grab it in a hurry. This has been my go to after getting off work.
Great vibe. Everyone is thoughtful. The food is consistent and amazing. My favourite spot for fresh russian food! Lifelong customer
Popped in and got the beef and cabbage roll. Really nice!!
Very cute piroshki cafe in downtown Seattle, I was having a meeting here with my sister :) and enjoying a hot tea :) the atmostphere was calm and warm and sirene :) there was artistic decor that I didn't much care for...
Quaint bakery at middle of downtown. You get baked good with meat in it.
This is our go to sit 3 for Piroshki. Smoked salmon and smoked turkey are highlights but hard to beat the traditional beef and cabbage.
saw u in diners and while rusian food isnt on my menu to have i am intrugued by what you have and i like the generous portions that u have inside the bread as u go big or go home.. if the owner answers theses replies hi to u and thank u much for being pasionate and authentic to doing it right. one day i will visit!!!!!! u gotta try arroz bago wich is lazy rice.. tkecare and xoxoxo
Lunch specials are hot and delicious comfort food. The restaurant has been newly remodeled and is clean and inviting.
This is how piroshky is supposed to be done. Highly recommend the beef and cabbage or beef and mushroom. And the borscht is good, too. Don't forget a cup of borscht with your piroshky.
Don't want to wait 30 minutes in line at the pike place location? This sister restaurant serves an equal product in a much less touristy (read jammed on a sunny day) location. Save Pike place for the fish.
Great place. Quick lunch and affordable prices. Nice and clean.
Top quality healthy soup (Borscht) served here !
We got there right when they opened and had Piroshkis fresh out of the oven! Amazing!
The food is very fresh and delicious. Tastes homemade. The staff is helpful and nice. A must try.
Fly in the soup. Gave us bigger soup upgrade. Food tastes good though. Good options. I think it is more bakery than restaurant.
pls pls I have to know the name of this one
This is just to die for!
So happy they are open again and the vegan options are delish! Super friendly service as well.
Wouldn’t go out of my way to go back, but it was good.
They had good piroshkis, free WiFi, and had the service been good I would be a DEFINITELY would return. It’s still good though.
This is my 2nd post. Definitely go here for piroshky or pierogies. Today i got the Bavarian sausage. The staff is awesome really friendly and fast
Delicious food and friendly staff. Able to take home boxes of piroschki and desserts. Homey atmosphere.
Been going here for 8 years. Has been remodeled for modern look. Food fresh, hardy and delicious. Try the breakfast.
Ham and Cheddar Omelet was good. Price charged (&10.95) is $1 more than price displayed ($9.95) on menu.
Great food underrated wish there were alot more Russian food in this city this deserves to be closer to Pacific place an Westlake I hope they expand
Absolutely love this place! All of the Piroshki's I have tried are great. The workers are super friendly too !
They just got done with a remodel, the piroshis and other baked goods are good! Love me some carrot cake!
Not authentic pastry.
Consistently delicious since I've started eating there - back in 98' when it was on Broadway! Very nice people work there too.
Delicious first time there loved it
Awesome food and service...
New piroshki place on third Ave. Just take out right now, but give this place some love. The neighborhood is facked, but pay them a visit
Great food and fat service. Amazing spot for a quick bite that doesn't have the taste or texture of cardboard.
Unlike other DDD places, the staff hasn't changed much here. It was just like Guy experienced!
Yummy food that reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. Servers are fun and informative. We will be back.
Had a savory chicken and some kinda flakey creamy cake I forget the name of, but both were great!!
Delicious piroshky and the best custom-made cakes! I always order specialty cakes for birthdays here.
Amazing food!! Try the new ham, bacon and cheese piroski!!! This is a true delight/treat!!! So treat yourself!!!
When I first moved to Seattle 4 months ago they helped me with something to drink and some food and directions of where I was looking for. Great staff and delicious food
Very underated spot. I personally enjoy thier piroshky better than piroshky piroshky, but their perogies are definitely worth a visit!
Great place for a worker to stop in and get food. Open decently early if you need a hot breakfast on the way to the office.
Lots of vegan options. The garden chicken with broccoli and chao was outstanding.
So many vegan options!
I grabbed a quick piroshki and shotgunned it on my way to a meeting. I burnt most of my mouth but it was delicious and totally worth it.
Didn't like pepperoni pizza style piroshok, but potato cheese one was delicious! Not crowded place at all
Great food! I love Borscht very delicious. Nice place and good customer service.
Amazing vegan options, and the most on-brand (and adorable) salt and pepper shakers!
Staff is always helpful and outgoing. Flavor selection can be limited if I've arrive to close to opening.
If you're in the area they have a solid breakfast. Piroshkis have been a part of Seattle history for a while now.
Good food and service. They did give me the wrong stuffing piroshki but it was good so I ate it anyway :)
Very clean! Foods is awesome. People are friendly. Great place to chill.
I always get something here when I visit Seattle. I love the piroshki here. The smoked turkey was great.
Love the place. Cant wait to eat there again. I especially like the customer service.
When visiting Seattle make sure an visit one of there location's. They are a great grab an go meal/ shack.
Worth the hike up 2 damn hills for their food. It is a must to try the beef and cabbage Piroshki.
Great Piroshkis, really good vegan options. Great for breakfast, lunch, snacks, crying yourself to sleep at night, etc.
The staff who were closing today were above-and-beyond helpful and the food is great!
Much better and more authentic Piroshki than the over-hyped one near Pike Place Market
The fries were amazing. I ate the Pelmeni and it was heavenly, I recommend it.
Soooo delicious with relatively, by American standards, unfriendly staff. Staff were from Russia or a Russian speaking satellite of Russia's.
Wonderful place !!!! Great food and lovely staff there. I adore going in and trying something new 😊 …
Great strudel and other deserts. Very friendly. Also open on weekends when other coffee shops closed.
Great place for a snack while you explore downtown
Yummy. Watch the hot steam coming out of those hot fresh piroshkis.
The remodel is beautiful. Clean, bright, and fun. Great food and kind people.
Ate Piroshki’s for breakfast every day for 4 days. Wonderful, tasty and filling food.
One of those fancy pastrey shops that wants to be a deli. Food was good but well over priced.
Authentic, good food. Speedy service as well. Worth checking out for sure.
Food was okay but not a lot of flavor. Staff is super friendly
They did a really good job decorating the place. Lovely pastries.
I had the traditional breakfast, and it was great as akways. The owner and staff are awesome.
Not very cheerful, had to ask for napkins. Could be me. I had jury duty that day. Fast service
Spinach, mushroom, and cheese piroshki was delicious. Perfect for a quick lunch.
Hell yeah, this place rocks.
If you want a Piroshki in Seattle, don't go anywhere else but here. They have the best in town!
10/10 would go again. Had a beef and cheese and a garlic and beef Piroshki and they were delicious!
Amazing Vegan options and the staff is super friendly too!
The food here is so mouthwatering great
👍 …
Tasty vegan options, I wish they were a little bigger/more filling for the price.
This is a must to eat here. Very authentic and we enjoyed every bite.
Best piroshki in the city. Not too busy, acts family owned, love it.
Tasted like the dough was not well/fully baked, same taste as Piroshki at the market
Delicious comfort food. The newly renovated space feels bigger somehow.
Great tasting pastry-based food made fresh before your eyes.
I had the beef and cranberry. It was so tasty, so awesome.
Borscht was good... Ham and Cheese Piroshki was too salty
this place is an awesome, quiet little cafe with great food and friendly staff.
Pretty good selection of Russian baked goods, decent prices and good food.
Great tasting food. Fresh and made on front of you.
The Bavarian Sausage is absolutely delicious. A must try.
Delicious and vegan options available. Highly recommended.
Great service friendly staff. Try the goulash, it is delicious
Fast, inexpensive Eastern European food, friendly staff
I love getting the piroshki with the beef and potatoes in it. So filling!
Really good. We'll visit again next time we're in town.
Great freshly made piroshki and other bakery items.
The russian style breakfast was amazing. So was the service.
The smoked salmon piroshki is good.
Great food! Great service! Clean and friendly!
Love to stop by and pick up a couple piroshkis after wiring a Saturday shift as a treat to myself.
Love Piroshki on 3rd!! The staff are wonderful as is the food!

very friendly staff, good atmosphere and the food was delicious
Fkkng🔥! Vegan options. 1of my seattle faves in the a.m. …
Really good Piroshki! I like these so much better than Piroshky Piroshky's.
Delicious whether you want something sweet or savory
Best piroshkis in town! Spinach egg and cheese ftw.
Excellent borscht and piroshki. Clearly run by people who know what they are doing.
The Smoked salmon and cream cheese is awesome,
The food was delicious and the staff friendly
Some of the most deliciously warm and satisfying food in existence.
Yummmmmy. Little local hole in the wall. Good spot for a quick bite.
Delicious snack inspired by Russian food!
Good variety. I've liked everything I've had.
Distinct, but the neither the flavor nor ambiance is anything to write home about.
Amazing Piroshkis. Great flavours and cute designs
Good place to have breakfast. Good selection
I recommend the "Garlic Beef Asado piroshki".

Unbelievably delicious piroshkies!
Staying at the recently reopened Artic Club Hotel, we had seen the Triple D episode on Food Network and had to try. We had the awesome chicken dubbling soup. Made to order and enough to share. Look forward to trying more items in the future.
