Reviews of Piroshki
Swanky Christy
This is so authentic place! Reminded me my childhood food!!!! I was in the area at some medical building near by and decided to stop by.
This time they had my favorite salmon & cream cheese! Absolutely delicious!!!
I ask if napoleon was fresh and lady assured me it’s very fresh and good they bake everything there daily!!! Dang, this cake was like in my childhood so fresh and yummy!!! This location is much better that we used to have on 3rd and also pike market ( they don’t have lunch special or cakes) also that one always full of tourists. Last time I went there salmon piroshky had so little filling in it. This place on Madison it’s much much better than pike place! I live on 2nd and pine and I am willing to go all the way uphill for this nice food!!!
Спасибо, за вкусную еду!!!!
Scott Cronk
Never ate here before, had the Salmon and creme cheese, was good. A very small store with limited seating, but seating turns over quickly with most ordering and take out.

Damn Daniel. Back at it again wit the bomb piroshki. They just do things right here. Not saying the other places don't. It's just better here in my opinion.
I don't know why I don't come here more often. Their variety of flavors are unmatched. Their bread is always so fluffy and toasted to perfection. The filling ingredients all taste fresh like it was butchered and hand picked at the kings farm before being preped and stuffed into each piroshki.
And they have desserts. Amazing desserts that are worth their own review and 5 star rating. Wait what, duh, this is a bakery. And a damn amazing one at that. I'll have to start trying and reviewing random things here because everything I've eaten here makes the other spots taste like their are serving the cheap knock off versions of food. Their desserts too.
I vote yes to piroshki on Madison for piroshki president.
Orion Bukantis
So good, every time. Always fresh. Perfect ratio of bread to filling. Great seasoning. I've tried most of the Piroshkies, and I think my favorite is either cabbage and mushroom or beef and cabbage.
Bruce Morris
Amazing quality food in the cutest little shop run by a pair of ladies who truly care about the food they put out! Amazingly fair prices as well!
Sasha Weiss
This is the real deal - everything is homemade, delicious, and crazy fresh, and the flavors are straight from my childhood (the beef/cabbage/mushroom takes me way back). Moreover, I recognize my (deeply Russian) mom in the owner, Alla, and her energy reminds me of home <3
I've been coming here for a year, and every single thing I've had (piroshki, pastries, everything) has blown me away. And they've been here since 1994! Truly a local treasure.
Andrew Lee
I visited Piroshki on a Friday morning looking forward to some Russian food. The store lives up to their name with a large selection of piroshki, but they also have a large selection of cakes and pastries as well. The smoked salmon and beef and cabbage piroshki were delicious. Probably some of the best I've ever had. The smoked salmon piroshki was especially memorable because of it's great balance of smoked salmon and cream cheese and how it wasn't salty. Most smoked salmon piroshki I have had have been very salty. I also ordered the Kiev cake, Prague cake, strudel, and apple cake. Each were delicious in their own ways. I am looking forward to returning when I am up on First Hill. I meant to order borscht and hope to get some next time I visit.
K Mac
Delicious food. Be sure to try their soups! The ladies at Piroshki go above and beyond. I always get a smile when I go in. An authentic eastern European gem in Seattle.
Rebecca Adams
Amazing savory piroshkis and incredible selection of desserts! They warm the piroshkis up to perfection. The salmon and cream cheese one is to die for! The ham, bacon, and cheese one is amazing too.
Jessica Etemadi
Food tastes really good but wayy overpriced. Sausage roll and meat pies are yummy- but everything, including the desserts, are way too expensive for portion size etc. Staff are not super friendly. Probably won't return again for these reasons
Tatiana Proctor
Great place to have lunch and take to food go. Piroshki offers wide variety of deserts as well. Last time I had borsch and mushroom cabbage piroshki. It was great. Convenient location in Swedish hospital.
Jose Gomez
They have vegan options for piroshki and desserts they are absolutely delicious ! Vegan honey cake is a 10/10. Their portions are also quite large. Overall the place is a must try. Will come back again.
Tara Fonteyn
Food is awesome, she doesn't use high fat in the breakfast sandwiches, no butter and or cheese on many sandwiches, but the taste is amazing, desserts aplenty. The beverages are priced well and owner uses dark chocolate for the mocha. Many lunch choices with full meals offered. Very attentive to personal needs or changes.
Erica Kahl
I enjoy the food (when I take it home to warm it up) I’ve had it three times now where it’s lukewarm or cold when I get it. The main lady who works there is not very friendly at all which also stinks because I do like the food!
Rahul Yalamanchili
Chicken noodle soup with the chicken and broccoli piroshki made for an incredibly delicious, filling lunch! Super friendly staff as well
Gabriel Kirkpatrick
Best piroshki and borscht in Seattle. Staff are always great. Lots of good vegetarian options!
Petka Russev
I’ve tried real piroshki and this ain’t it. It’s not bad but doesn’t taste like the real deal.
Julianna Stevenson
The potato and cheese piroshki had onions, which we didn’t expect, and the beef in the beef, potato, and cheese piroshki wasn’t super high quality. We’ll go elsewhere to get piroshkis.
Matt Tatoczenko
Delicious. Small location but great food. Lots of piroshki available either hot or room temp and the service is quick. The borscht is amazing and very hot as well, it was even warm after sitting in my car for 30 minutes. I'll definitely be back.
The smoked salmon piroshki was our favorite. Ham and cheese is also good.
Cat Lee Ball
Wonderful traditional piroshkis! The woman who runs the business is very kind, and all the piroshkis are delicious and wonderful.
For those not familiar, piroshkis are like a warm bread roll with savory fillings like eggs, potatoes, cabbage, cheese.
Would definitely recommend! They have at least one other location in Pike's Place, but the first hill location is much quieter and less line to wait in.
Kristina
Love them! You can get here delicious piroshki without waiting in a huge line like in Piroshki on Pike's Market.
Teresa
Yummy piroshki. Gotta go before lunch to get the full selection! I buy a few before lunch and take home for dinner - easy to pop in the oven and heat up for a quick meal the kids love.
Kaitlynne Donahue
Terrible glare from the woman on register when I walked in, as I had food for my partner from another nearby store. I ordered the bacon, ham, and cheese piroshki and the chocolate roll. Paid, gave a tip, but was not given my order until after the woman at the register shoed me to the side to take the next customer’s order. She gave the next customer their entire order, and only *then* did she give me my order. Incredibly rude.
The food is excellent though, I will give them their due in that regard.
Pedram Salamati
Taste of Piroshki from here always takes me back to how my mom used to bake them for us! Staff are lovely and there is an amazing lady that talking to her makes my day, she always tries to teach me Russian since embarrassingly I am half Russian but don’t speak the language. Looking for a good quality Piroshki? Look no further! Here is the best spot to grab a tasty bite.
Michael Beck
For me, it's a treat for now and then, and when I go it's always perfect. The staff are fantastic, the product itself is, I repeat, PERFECT. I recommend anyone try it, and make sure you tip! They wake up early to make it happen!
Yuliya Davis
Absolutely delicious: the piroshki, the coffee, and the pastries! Incredibly friendly and pleasant staff. I went in a couple of times. My favorite piroshki were with cabbage and mushrooms, as well as the ones with potato, beef and cheese. Also, the Raspberry Walnut Shortbread bar is to die! It tasted just like the ones my grandma in Russia used to make.
Yessenia Garcia
Scrumptious piroshkis 🤤 i got the mushroom and cabbage and the beef, cranberries, almonds …
José Abraham Portugal Marín
I love this place! Delicious piroshki and coffee.
Joseph Cox
Had a pizza piroshki and a salmon one. Really good! The bread was crispy and sweet and they didn't skimp on the meat inside. Definitely recommend checking them out.
Michael Dudrey
This place is dangerous. It will take a lot of willpower to not come back everyday to try something new. The Pizza Piroshki was tasty, but maybe could have stood a bit more cheese, or maybe some tomatoey element to really sell the pizza flavor profile. The borsch is good, and while I'm not used to having a few beans in borsch, I enjoy the textures they provide in this soup.
Zach Tanenbaum
This was the best Chocolate roll of my life. Yes, they're hand made here.
Artem Bidnichenko
This might be the best lunch spot nearby. The $10 pie + soup combo is great. I love the pie variety too. Sweet/savory/vegetarian/meat... You will probably find something for yourself to try
Christina Thomson
I've been coming here for 10 years now. This is my favorite food in all of Seattle! I bring everyone I know here! If you like bread filled deliciousness this is your place. The bread is sweet yet savory and so soft! There's a filling for everyone. Coffee is devine and I've even tried some of their lunch specials and it's delicious. If you haven't come here, you should go now. It will be worth it.
Shirley Lovre
My husband and I dropped in for piroshki, banana bread and a latte. The ladies who run the eatery are so friendly and gracious. Their European dessert case looks so good! Everything we had was delicious. We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!
Debbie Tully
I used to love this place and the piroshkies, but recent visits have been disappointing. Poor, impatient service, increased prices, and the quality of the food has gone downhill: a cheese piroshky with hardly any cheese and cold in the middle. For the price, I wanted something better.
Ludmila Lynn
Delicious! Savory and sweet options. You can also get soup and pelmeni.
saransh sawhney
Satisfying bakes!
The best place for a piroshky in downtown Seattle!
vanesa june
The pirozhki here are AMAZING! I like them a lot more than the Piroshky Piroshky at Pike Place. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. Ordered the mixed pierogi and it was delicious! Definitely will be returning for more :3
Sabel Roizen
Staff was really nice. If you are vegan, do not bother: milk and eggs in all offerings. I was thinking they might have vegan options the way Piroshki on 3rd does, but no such luck!
Darren Lane
The lunch pierogies are delicious 😋. They've got potato, meet, or cheese, but I usually get a mix of all three. It's a very satisfying lunch. The savory piroshki are also great for a quick tasty lunch. …
Erin Olds
The borscht! An excellent little shop that we'll be visiting again. The corned beef piroshki and borscht were our favorites, and treat yourself to the sour cherry piroshki or the kefta if you're in the mood for something sweet!
Took off one star because the employees weren't wearing masks when I came in, but did put them on once they saw me.
Rozalia LaJune
What a wonderful place! And the owner? She is to "die for": friendly, warm, with an East European accent, and rosy cheeks. She towers over the counter, and asks, "What else?" What a trick, woman! This simple "What else?" had me buy twice as much as I'd normally buy. She is not chatty, just business: a customer comes to buy and be served quickly, and she delivers - every time I was there, I did not have to wait more than 5-10 minutes.
The store is clean, decorated with Russian artifacts, which are so important if the owner wants to combine Russian food with the cultural experience. The food is fantastic. I had a borscht with pierogi. It was delicious. And I had the poppy seed roll, various piroshki as well. A reminiscence of home in the land of fellow immigrants.
The owner has a business acumen. I remember when she had just one store, Piroshki on Broadway. Now she has several locations. She has an excellent business set up.
I wish her success just like Boudin sourdough on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.
Piroshki, may you prosper and have always enough products to make your wonderful food and drinks!
Na zdarovie! (To your health!)
Abby
The bread here is to die for. Very authentic piroshki with quality service. It's a great place to grab a quick bite to eat.
Ananya Datta
Their beef piroshki was good. But salmon one wasn't good at all. The sweet ones(poppy seed, strudel) weren't good at all. I won't be back though.
Kathryn Carr
Food is highest quality made from true artist. I stumbled on this gem while looking for Starbucks. What a delightful surprise. I will make a special trip back to this place every time I am in area. Highly recommend.
Nicole Solano
Omg we love this place. All the piroshki is delicious, especially the salmon and cream cheese. We sometimes go here several times a week for lunch. The staff is very nice and helpful. The pierogies are delicious too! You really can't go wrong.
Eura Cho
Discovered this place in my neighborhood and tried it for the first time today. It was the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Try the beef and cabbage piroshki with a cup of borscht! So excited to return soon..
Dustin Schumann
Perfectly authentic, and great selection. Asked employee for their fave dessert and wasn’t disappointed at all - honey cake (not pictured)!
Lawrence Kane
Absolutely delicious! Had a mushroom, spinach, and cheese piroshki and a slice of honey cake! Wish I could have chatted with the owner but it didn't seem she felt social at that time
A F (Pochemu2)
These piroshki are made with the dough recipe heavily referencing the southern Russian dough taste.
Fluffy, well balanced and a faint hint of sweetness.
Overall value, the piroshki are very filling with traditional and experimental PNW flavors.
The cakes and sweet pastries-- I highly recommend if you are interested in a quality dessert to go with a steaming cup of quality tea.
Stacy Primack
There is something so comforting about entering a store and your nose suddenly turns into something you only see dogs do. Within their noses, they have receptor cells that grab hold of the odor and transmit the information along to their brains. They have an increased sensitivity to the very existence of a substance. That is how I felt coming upon Piroshki on Madison. I'm instantly turned on, and feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me like going to grandmas house and smelling fresh baked awesomeness.
This little Russian bakery is a hidden gem nestled near the Swedish Hospital and there is already a line starting to form at 11:30am. It is a small walk thru establishment with counter cases occu- PIED (get it lol) with these sweet and savory pockets of love. All with that shiny slightly egg washed exteriors and formations of cute festive flowers or braids from the scraps.
Around $5.50 a pop and they offer coffee, soft drinks, water. A very in and out process. Very few seats, like maybe 6. I find the 3 seater table in the back and post up. Good selection of condiments by me. Dijon is my choice. I almost devour my corned beef, mushroom, and cheese. Plenty of filling, very tasty. Best lunch for under $10! Highly recommend.
Andrew N
The best piroshk in Seattle hands down. Pure heaven. I usually buy two for now, two for later, and two for tomorrow, and then wish I got more. Every time I come I think about quitting my job and begging the owner to train me to make them. Not even for commercial use just so I can cook them for myself.
sh al
The place has great reputation but for me i found it normal level of bakery place. The prioch was not served warm to me. It is a nice experience to try it though.
Chance Fox Hauck
Every time I see the doctor, I must have a piroshki from here. They are so delicious, everything from the cookies to the soups that rotate daily from split pea to borscht fills the soul. Lunch time can be busy so go for breakfast instead.
Rashida Ramsee
First of, the food tastes good, which is why I've given it any stars at all. Secondly, the lady at the register needs a lesson in proper food handling! She wears one glove on her right hand which she uses for the register, to handle cash, and to touch the food with the help of a small piece of paper. I've never been so disgusted in my life the way Iwas this morning! I had to actually say something to her when I noticed that she didn't change her gloves. She responded with "I use paper". That doesn't make it any better! The one glove was SOILED with food, which means she's ACTUALLY touching the food with that one filthy glove! I watched her touch my ham & cheese -she did use paper, but it's a small piece of paper, not enough to cover the food at all. I did still take my food because I'd already paid for it, and there were other customers in line. I didn't wanna be "THAT" person who holds up the line. The other lady who I assume is in charge of making the pastries, wore NO GLOVES! However, as I type this review, my food is being reheated as I'm hoping the heat helps kill whatever bacteria that was transferred. Taste & general cleanliness: 5 stars, lady at the register with the soiled right hand glove:0 stars! I'm not sure who manages this location, but before customers start getting sick because of contamination at your establishment, PLEASE retrain your employees.
Janet Auseuga
My FAVORITE place! I've been a customer since 2009. 8yrs later and I take my parents as well. They love it!
But you cannot mistaken these guys with other Pyroshki. They only have 2 branches. This one and the one on 3rd Ave (Downtown Seattle).
Dave Wall
Huge selection, great service and delicious, perfect piroshkies. Had the mushroom and cabbage variety. Highly recommended!
Kim Bott
So happy to find Russian style peirogies in Seattle. Everything I've had here has been great. Coffee included. Great sweets and piroskis. Soups. I make a point of dropping in here every time I'm in the neighbourhood.
Jefferson Teng
Please bring your business here so I can get my piroshkis here forever. Significantly better than its more famous counterpart. Insanely tasty!
val beliy
Awesome food! Cabbage and mushrooms is my favorite. You can also order catering “bite size” piroshki in advance.
Michael Tieso
I'd go here every time we had to go see our doctor which was often at the time. They will sometimes try to push for the soup. The soup is great but a single piroshki alone is filling.
Andrey M
Great place for a good lunch. Amazing staff.
Irina Kireyeva
This is my favorite place with a very delicious authentic desserts like pirozhenoe Kartoshka and Prazhskiy cake, Napoleon cake and other yummy things!!! My appreciation to the owners for this wonderful place when you can get back to the childhood!❤️
Russell Farrow
A lot of people post that the food is good here and I’m here to tell you it damn sure is. Wonderful baklava and piroshkis. If you’re at Virginia Mason walk yourself over there. Authentic!

Wowowowow! Just dropped by for for piroshki and pirogy. Delicious! Had beef/cheese/potato and the pizza, as well as INCREDIBLY fresh cheese pirogy. Will be back regularly! Thanks!
Kat
The baking smells and the beautiful cases stocked with savory and sweet treats are just a lovely accompaniment to the always-delicious Piroshki
Matt and Emma Morrison
Um, yum. Delicious, crusty dough filled with different types of goodness. Love the family feel. Love the food. Really fun local place
Greg W
This store is easily on par with the one by Pike Place Market, and not near the crowd. Very delicious, I like the Corned Beef but all are worth a try.
Dara Elish
Been wasting their piroshky since '99 when i moved here and still love them and crave them! Their borscht is perfect, too!

Good savories; sweets not crisp as I expected (Napoleon & eclaire). Clean, efficient, & knowledgeable service.
Amanda Guerrero
Amazing!!! Just as good as Piroshky Piroshky, but without the insane tourist line. And the women that work there are great.
Kevin Perry
Was very good when the gentleman was still running it. Now it's a bunch of old ladies, not as good. Selection is down too. But good
Tiffany Jenkins
Good. Not as good as the one in Pike's Place Market though. (They don't have as much variety as they do there)
Sharath M

Addendum:
Piroshky never fails to impress. They have cabbage rolls on Mondays and straganoffs on thursdays. Everything has been above expectation so far. I could not recommend them enough!
Smells so good and tastes even better!!
Ritika Rao
This is mostly pickup spot, although it has limited seating. I tried the potato broccoli and cheese, which was primarily potato.
The piroshki stuffing is well seasoned, it reminded me of food I've had in Europe. The cheese is good quality as well, and the dough is soft and melt in your mouth.
I think they could go a little light on the egg wash, the smell is overpowering.
The service is great, the family baked and runs the place
