Reviews of Oma Bap- Cap Hill
**CASH BACK ON DINING WON’T WORK HERE** this is probably the reason for it being only 4 stars in my opinion. They are classified as a “Caterer” so credit cards that typically give cash back won’t recognize this transaction as a restaurant/dining. Just a warning.
Otherwise the food and restaurant is solid overall. They have nice open seating outside, as well as open their windows on nice days and you can still eat inside. Right next to Cal Anderson Park too. You can build your own bowl or choose an option off the menu. I recommend building one. The bowls are tasty and a solid serving size. It felt worth the value and did not make me feel too bloated. I also tried the Chocolate Haupia Cake and it was very yummy. There is a lot of whipped cream on top but it’s not overtly sweet. You bus yourself when you dine in though. Overall a nice place for a quick bite, but not getting cash back on this purchase would make me not come back again.
New favorite Korean restaurant! Super sweet people and chill atmosphere. Went here a couple times but every time has been a good one! I especially like how you can custom your own bibimbap too.
Loved the KFC (korean fried chicken). The gochujang chicken paired well with the spicy pickles and slaw.
For side dishes, the pickled daikon kimchi and spicy pickles were both really good.
Amazing experience! They are more of a grab and go, but they have a great open kitchen and beautiful interior! The food was fast and tasted delicious! I'm surprised at how accurately Korean a lot of the food tasted despite being somewhat of a fusion. Great service and great overall experience. Go here now!
Fresh! Fast! Friendly!
Nice clean decor in this high volume urban eatery. Modern with some simple unique details.
Cashier was professional and friendly. The whole team from line cooks to plate-up seem to work well putting these tasty healthy meals together.
Noodles are great; rice is not al-dente, but not all flimsy, the beef bulgogi was sweet but not overpowering or too thick; the most exquisite pork belly anywhere! Great food sourcing and a talented hot line.
Found by chance and decided to give it a chance. I ordered the bulgogi rice and it hit all the right notes. The rice was nicely cooked and the beef didn't have much fat. The people working there were very friendly and introduce the menu if it is your first time. I'll definitely be back for more.
Got the Sweet Garlic Fried Chicken with White Rice, House salad, and Napa Kimchi. Chicken quality was mediocre, would love to have more garlic flavor, but in general it was good.
A great take out option for anyone in the mood for Korean food. They offer a number of options for bibimbap or you can customize your own bowl. For the price, the flavors are solid and I have picked up from this place a number of times now.
Check this place out when you just want a customized meal for a decent price.
We've been ordering takeout from this Oma Bap since our favorite bibimbap place closed down. This is better in almost every way.
The food is delicious; the service is superb: Every time, they had the order waiting for me even though I drove from five blocks away; every time they were friendly and courteous. And this last time, not only did they find and add the item that the app couldn't add to the order, they also refused my offer to pay the difference.
Even better, when someone knocked a takeaway fork onto the counter, the person who picked it up did not put it back in -- countertops can be very dirty without appearing that way and can pass hep. and stuff. I've occasionally seen other places where people would put the thing back; not here.
So: clean, quick, friendly, professional, and the food is good.
A really great variety of options, a quick and easy ordering experience as well.
I got the beef bulgogi and it was honestly phenomenal.
A great casual lunch spot.
delicious, fast, and convenient! Lots of vegan options - great spot for picky eaters because you can build your own bowl!
Oma Bap is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle! The food is delicious, healthy, and affordable (low-income graduate student salary) and everyone who works there is so kind.
PINEAPPLE KIMCHI
Everything about our experience at Oma Bap was wonderful. Friendly staff and lots to choose from. Everything about the KFC (Koran fried chicken) was incredible. The sides were great and did I mention the pineapple kimchi? A must try!
Spectacular bibimbap! Really good signature combos are listed on the menu, but you can build your own bowl. I had the kimchi fried rice with pork belly and it was delicious!
Service was prompt and polite. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very casual and comfortable. There's so much great food in the neighborhood but this spot is as good as the rest!
My order came so FAST!
Taste good!!
Korean Rice cake
Bulgogi beef fried rice.
Really good pork belly here. Soft pork, melting fat, and the skin has a nice chew.
Enjoyed takeout bibimbop before heading to a baseball game. This was amazing food, and surprisingly filling. We were visiting Seattle, but I would be a regular if I lived there!
Delicious bowls and the owner cares about his community — they dropped off tons of bowls to our break room for the staff at the hospital which were So yummy and filling. Will be sure to visit when I’m in Cap Hill.
Delicious and generous portions. Loved the radish and jalapeno pickles. Order was ready very fast. The combo bowl is a great deal!
This is now my fav Korean restaurant in Cap Hill🔥 we got bibimbap, kimchi fried rice with spicy pork and tteokbokki❤️❤️❤️ highly recommended👍
Ordered this via an app and my food was incredible. I got a veggie bowl and it was so flavoursome, being able to fully customise it and add what I wanted was great.
I’ve had the Korean chicken at least 8 times, it’s delicious. I wish they could add more greens to the bowl though
I had a great experience here. Fast-casual, but not low quality. Wholesome vibe in a big open space. You can actually see the chefs in back. I got the KFC with white rice. Excellent. The sesame sauce it comes with is superb. I also shared a pork pancake with my partner. It too was wonderful. She got the chapchae and wasn't that impressed with it, but she can leave her own review about that. I definitely plan on going back.
They have a custom bowl option which is very easy to make vegan and I’d definitely recommend the pineapple kimchi!
quick and delicious food. korean food is my “comfort food” since i grew up in a socal korean american neighborhood and my high school best friend’s mom owned a casual korean spot like this one.
a decade later, my friends brought me this when i broke my ankle and it really hit the spot. it is probably my favorite korean spot in capitol hill. it is really filling and tastes fresh + well made. i do recommend the bibimbap over the japchae.
the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get and it is nice that the bibimbap is customizable + easy to order online.
This is one of my favorite dinner spots. They prepare the food very quickly and so it's great on the way home from work. They have a good selection of different rice bowls and variations on bibimbab; I've tried most of them by now and they're all good!
Friendly staff, clean establishment, quick service, delicious food.
These guys have great food, I love their bowls and always get one when I’m craving Korean friend chicken.
What’s even better is their service. Once I ran late and these guys were so awesome that they stayed after close to hold my pickup! Highly recommend.
Had the beef bulgogi fried rice special, very well seasoned and plenty of food for the price
When this place opened up, I was super excited to have a local bibimbap spot to default on, but I was upset with what it turned out to be.
The food smells great inside, but every dish I've tried continued to be extremely oily. All the food tastes like grease, and it overtakes all the flavors of the dishes. I've gone here 4 to 5 times, each time trying a different dish in the hopes that something didn't take like I was eating a plate of grease. They've let me down every time. The cooks need to calm down on the level of oil they dump into their dishes.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the food has a lot to improve upon.
Was recommended this place by multiple people and it was the perfect Korean meal. We tried the Friend Chicken Bowl (with Gochujong) and the Pancake. Both were SO GOOD. The pancake is really rich and a large serving for an app - the dipping sauce with it is really good too, almost a dumpling sauce. For the amount of food this place is a great price.
I tried the bibimbap here. It was amazing! I got the one with the Korean fried chicken. The rice was well made and so was the chicken. The portion was also good. They were very fast with the order and I definitely recommend it!
I ordered the Bulgogi Beef Bibimbap through Amazon Daily Dish and it was delicious! There was quite a bit of beef too, definitely filling.
I'm no expert on Korean food but I know I love this place. The kimchi fried rice is delicious. The egg was perfectly fried with a runny yolk, the kimchi was flavorful, and the pork belly was tender and juicy. Lovely touch of heat that makes you salivate and want to take another bite. The potsickers were also great, crispy outside, soft inside. Bulgogi was also super tender and flavorful. They even do bowls with greens instead of rice, which means I'll be coming back for keto meals.
omg this is my dream: a fast easy quick and modern fast casual Korean food restaurant. Service was nice, kind, and quick, and the food was DELISH - I'm absolutely in love with pineapple kimchi.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had! The KFC bowl is amazing!! Will for sure be going back!
Ordered and delivered via Uber Eats. Super fast delivery and food was piping hot.
All of the dishes were fantastic, but the star was definitely the KFC bowl. It's been a few hours and I'm already tempted to order it again...This is going to be a problem :)
Ordered pickup, and was ready pretty quick. Got the bibimbap with the lettuce and cabbage base so I could feel a bit healthier than eating a heavy carb base and tasted just as great.
Listen—bibimbap served at room temp in a plastic bowl just isn’t that satisfying. The flavors were excellent, and when I reheated at home the next day is was delicious. But if you’re looking for that sizzling steaming experience of bibimbap in a hot stone bowl, skip this spot.
Great spot for when I'm craving bibimbop. They even helped me in a time of need with takeout forks for a picnic and a bomb passion orange guava cake on the house! Super friendly staff :)
The bi Bim bop at $11 was pricey, and a bit bland unless you added a ton of sauce yourself.
This place is SO GOOD! My husband and I wish we would've tried it sooner! The employees were super welcoming and helpful with ordering also! Highly recommend!
This place rocks! I placed my order for pickup while skating the cal Anderson courts, and my food was ready by the time I had walked across the field. Everyone was super nice and the food was delicious. Thank you!
It was bit pricy without side dishes but delicious.
Loved the bulgogi beef fried rice bowl. Quality ingredients with great flavor. Will definitely be visiting Oma again.
The employees were very nice and patient with my order, above that the food tasted great. Definitely recommend to all who love asian/korean food.
Awesome spot for bibibop, simple menu but done very well and very quickly. Great spot for quick healthy food. Also, the cashier/server was on fleek.
Delicious, healthy cuisine! I recommend going. Everyone there is very nice and your order is ready quickly.
The food is amazing, but the prices keep creeping up and they mostly do catering now so you basically have a three-hour window to get in there and get food. I love the food when I go there, but my wallet doesn't and I also haven't managed to get there on time to actually eat in the last year or so.
Tried pork belly rice, beef fried rice, and spicy rice cake. They were all good, and I'd recommend them~
I was really happy with this place. Great ambience and overall look and the food is amazing. On top of that, it's quick and convenient.
Tasty! Plus where else can you try a Bulgogi Steak sandwich.
Always get delivery and food is fresh and hot. Always get the bibimbap which is highly customizable.
Had only take out. Great quality and flavor. One of the best Korean rest I’ve tried in the Seattle area
Nice people, they help you order on your fist time as well as a free side of kimchi, offer water cups, great food. I got spicy pork, wasn't too spicy but flavorful with a slight kick.
Super delicious and very friendly staff. The bowls are really big and so good.
clean food. Menu is limited but they do a good job.
Good and cheap bibimbap. The gyoza is pretty solid too.
But I don't try to order food for delivery from here anymore (through any of the services). They really consistently have something out (pork, rice!) and twice the order has had to be canceled because of some unknown reason.
I wish they were open later, I just love and crave their food all the time!!! Nom nom nom
I like this place. Great food in a hurry
discovered this place 2 weeks ago and have been back 4 times already. everything I've had has been so good. highly recommend
Very tasty food and inexpensive for the neighborhood
Wonderful, nutritious food at a great price--many options for choice within your order!
The Bulgogi Beef Fried Rice was just okay because because it was generally flavorless.
Delicious bibimbap. It could be a little hotter, not the thermally and spicewise.
What a delight to discover this place in my neighborhood. A perfect bit of variety amongst the numerous sushi and ramen places. I will be back soon.
Food was okay but environment was not very welcoming
Decent and fast Korean food! They also sell some banchan to if you want to stock up
Excellent food and a very friendly staff. The cheese steak is a must try.
Pleasantly surprised the food was good.
It's ok. Nothing to write home about. Prices a little high for an ok menu.
Absolutely amazing. Best place on the hill.
Good food, fast service!
Their kimchi fried rice is the bomb! Approved by koreans 👌🏻 …
Great bi big bop and Korean Fried Chicken bowls!
Awesome. Delicious food! Great staff.
Great, fast service every time and very good food.
Delicious bowls with generous portions!
Fast and delicious Korean fare.
This food will become your new favorite, I promise, and with only three basic dishes, you won't have any trouble ordering!
Bibimbap takes center stage, of course, choose white, brown, or mixed grain rice, choose your protien (I recommend the Bulgogi beef!) and then open your camera app if it's your first visit, you're gonna want to tell your friends about this place.
Japchae is another of the choices, and the one that visits my dreams and keeps bringing me back and back. Noodles. Not just any noodles, chewy and delicious sweet potato noodles, which are a little thicker than Spaghetti noodles, but transparent like glass or bean thread noodles. You can add Bulgogi beef and what you get is the most delicious dish in Seattle. Ok, ok, I may be exaggerating a little bit, but not too much.
And finally, the Bulgogi beef bowl, which is served on your choice of rice. Bulgogi is kind of Korean teriyaki, I guess. It's got that sweet & salty, soy sauce based flavor, with sesame oil and/or seeds. I'm a huge fan of the dish in general, and here it's done just right.
Such great bibimbop to take on the go
Addictive. Spicy pickles are the best thing ever.
This food is amazing
Fresh, great tasting. Even let us eat inside
It's the Korean Chipotle 10/10
Bibimbap is really delicious.
So good you might question your belief system
The KFC bowl is just 🤤 …
This is by far and away the best Bibimbap in the area
So yummy. Try the kimchi pancake
taste good and busy business
Delicious food and super quick service
Great bibimbap.
Great food and staff.
Great food!
Two thumbs up
Good meals
Pretty good lunch bowl.
Didn’t know about this place!
delicious and friendly
I ordered bibimbap and japchae, and the portion was quite large and delicious. For bibimbap, choose according to your taste
Kimchi fried rice is delicious ㅠㅠ
