Incredibly delicious, kind, and patient! The owner gets amazingly delicious fresh salmon straight off the boat and was not only kind enough to show me the beautiful fish that was thawing for the next day, she went above and beyond and gave us some smoked salmon to eat for later. The food was phenomenal, unbelievably good. It's a shame I never came here before, but I'm happy that after several years in the U District I finally decided to stop in. All staff were incredibly friendly, the price was a steal, the food was beyond delicious, the service was speedy, and honestly I don't think I could say a single thing they need to improve on at all! They even were incredibly patient with my 9 year old sister who my wife and I were watching for the night, and brought a smile to her face with their aquarium and friendliness. If I could rate 6 stars, I would. I recommend anyone looking for delicious fish, chicken, or beef burgers/sandwiches: visit this place ASAP! You won't regret it! To the owner(s): thank you so much - you were wonderful and I hope to see you again very soon. ♥️

Highly recommend this hole in the wall restaurant. Food was outstanding, must try their famous burger, and super friendly staff. I kept coming back for the burger. Hands down one of the best burgers I had in the city. Prices are very reasonable too. It's a rare find.

I’ve been going to Mr. Lu’s for years. I was just a wee lad of 17 years old when I moved to Ravenna and would frequent for any combination of menu item with a sweet potato fry. I’m now 27 and nothings changed. The food is quick, guaranteed delicious, and a down right bargain in this day and age. They will forever have my business and they should have yours as well.

Overall this place was ok. If I was a college student I'd give it 4 stars. We ordered (1) the Cajun burger, (2) the Hawaiian salmon burgers, and (3) onion rings. The customer service was great, but I'm rating based in the food. The onion rings we're fried to order and tasted amazing. 5/5 The Hawaiian salmon burger tasted bad. My fault for ordering pineapples with fish, but even the salmon tasted too fishy. 2/5 The Cajun burger was solid, nothing special. The burger was a bit drier than in n out burger in California. 3/5

These burgers are my favorite in Seattle. I love the variety and the different flavors they offer, from Hawaiian to Southwest to Canadian (get a plate of poutine for $6). The menu makes it impossible not to come back, since there are only so many burgers one can eat at once. At Mr Lu's, that number is definitely one. They don't mess around with the size of the burgers. Each one is a beautiful, delicious, saucy creation that leaves you feeling like you just ate a big juicy burger. I would also recommend the waffle fries.

The food here is actually so good. Tried fish and chips and the burgers. It's tucked away and small but so worth a visit. It is a little pricier but the quality of ingredients are great and size of food is pretty generous. The people there are also very nice and they sell Jarritos. If you looking to treat yourself come here for sure.

Absolutely scrumptious! Their blackened salmon burger was the best I had ever eaten. The salmon was beautifully moist and seasoned perfectly. The fries were also the right amount of crispy on the outside and soft fluffy interior. I will certainly be back for more.

'Poutin' (sic) does NOT have bacon nor onions and if it ever does, it is proper to to tell the customer..the ' gravy has little or no taste. I can't eat bacon for cultural and health reasons. I will say the place is clean and the workers r friendly.

Great food and a favorite stop for my girlfriend and I. Her favorite is the Salmon & Chips, and mine the Seafood Combo (It comes with salmon but I opt to just get it with prawns and oyster instead since they taste so good). Their chicken burgers are consistently great but I've had some greasy encounters when it came to their beef burgers (Nothing too bad, I would still order them). If there's one thing I heavily recommend it would be their milkshakes. The peanut butter milkshakes they serve taste like a reese's mixed with vanilla ice cream and it hits different on a hot day.

The fries are some of the most addictive ones I've had. The burgers are amazing too and the patties taste like real good meat, but the fries are definitely the ones that have me hooked. Honestly, if you're in the U District looking for a good burger, this place has the best burgers I've ever tried on the Ave. I would recommend. 100%.

Lots of great burger choices, and great deals on fish n chips, including delicious shrimp and oysters n chips. A Must-Try is the spicy blackened cajun salmon, it was shockingly good! Their house cajun sauce puts this over the top! Also great fries, done to crisly perfection. Get them loaded up and even poutine style! Great small location, food is fresh and tasty, portions are large, and prices are great!!

Lovely, hardworking woman here who cares so much about enjoyment of food. But it's cold inside and sometimes homeless people come to arrange their drug fixes. Bathroom has a perpetual "out of order" sign probably for similar reasons.

First impression, this is not a place I would have tried. Seems a little sketchy and you're never quite sure about a place that does burgers and seafood. However, I'm so glad I came in. The burgers are great, I also enjoy their chicken strips, but salmon & chips is one of my favorite meals and this place is pretty solid! It's easily my favorite place to get salmon & chips in Seattle.

Pleasant overall experience. Burger was juicy and cooked to order. Got the jalepeño burger which was a nice balance of heat and savory. The Phoenix fries were heavy and a lot of food but good. Nothing fancy, but if you're looking for a quick meal and a good mix of burgers, chicken, and seafood, this is a good spot.

Not only is the food great here, but the customer service is excellence. I once went in and requested to add avocado to my burger and the cashier explained they were out. I knew the burger would be delicious without from my previous visits. I took a seat to wait for my order, only to see the cashier run across the street to the nearest Safeway and return with nothing other than, avocados! This is one of the reasons why I choose to eat local. This was an awesome example of going above and beyond for a customer. To add to that, the Phoenix fries here are bomb.

Probably the best salmon burgers in Seattle and my one of the few 5 star ratings! Its not easy to find a good place for salmon varieties but I was lucky enough to have this place near to my bnb. Food: All the salmon burgers are really nice. Fillets are nicely grilled n soft (you might get 2 fillets somedays when lucky ;)), bun is mildly crispy but not too soft either. Their grilled onions are an unnoticed ingredient that escalate overall flavor dramatically. The best part: prices! Never found a cheaper place for salmon. Ambience: This place only loses points on the ambience. It feels more of a diner than a restaurant. You might see some smoke when you get inside. It needs some ventilation and a change of chairs/couches. Recommendations: I would totally recommend the Spicy Blackened Salmon burger if you like things on the spicier (and delicious ;)) side. Haven’t tried the other menu yet as I never got tired of the salmon varieties ;)

Crispy chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had, and the chocolate milk shake was amazing (even though they were out of the peanut butter and chocolate that I really wanted). Clean and friendly, and close to home. I'll definitely be back again to try more of their burgers, and maybe the seafood too.

Terrible terrible food for the price I paid. I remember not too long ago (forgive me as not too long ago may be 2 years) that fries came with the burger. Not any more they don't. The chicken club I got made me gag a bit when I opened up the wrapping. The chicken was rubbery, the buns soaked in whatever blandness sauce they used, and the bacon was way overcooked to the point of petrification. Won't be going back again because the food quality does not reflect the food price.

I ordered the Seafood Combo. It was pretty good. I was a little down once I got back to work and noticed I had no scallops; other than the missing scallops this was a good lunch choice for today. I just have to remember next time to check my order before leaving.

We decided to stop here while on our way to Which Wich down the street and were pleasantly surprised by the food. I got a mushroom burger with bacon and their cajun sauce. The pepper bacon was cooked to perfection and the cajun sauce was just the right amount of heat so as to not drown out the swiss cheese or mushroom flavors. She got a bacon cheese burger. The fries were great too. I haven't had waffle fries in ages. This place is definitely right on par with Five Guys. I'd eat here every time though because of the variety. I may even give some of their seafood a shot!

This is a wonderful astablishment with amazing food and USUALLY, amazing service. Every time I come to Mr lu's I have a wonderful time with mouth watering delights. Today however, I was hardly greeted by a "server" who let us take our seat plenty of time to figure out our order. When he finally came to take our order. I tried to order grundy fries. To which he responded "Phoenix fries" I assured him grundy fries and he responded again phoenix fries like I was stupid. This went on with me pointin at the menu item on the window, not on the plastic menu. I settled telling him if he doesn't have grundy fries that poutine fries would do. He accepted that answer but seemed go be glad that I was done speaking. Barely looking any one in the eye. I would like not to be ignored whilst ordering food.
