Reviews of Luna Park Cafe
Randy Lau
Really love this place when I can get out to West Seattle. The food is what you'd expect from a diner and they serve breakfast all day. Prices are also pretty good and haven't seem to increase massively with inflation as in some places. Definitely get one of their famous milkshakes. Service was great and friendly. The only downside is parking is a bit problematic with the small lot and street parking isn't easy.

The food, which is fab, comes FAST! Much appreciated when one is hungry/hangry. 😉
Hard to choose when the entire menu is enticing — I had the vegan pile, enough for two meals, with the hash perfectly crispy and the broccoli perfectly cooked. Appreciated the choices of fresh-squeezed juices.
This is a popular joint (arrive **early** on a weekend if you don’t want to wait >an hour), and you may have to do a little server-chasing but the staff are helpful when your hot sauce bottle is empty or you aren’t into strawberry jam.

super cute place, we ordered a coke, Shirley temple, the hamburger and the Luna burger with the beyond patty and sweet potatoe fries. food was tasty and the fries were crispy which was great. friendly service and clean area. parking is a little wonky though.
Carlos
Delicious food with huge portions. Ordered the chicken fried steak and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food that came out. Also tried their Oreo milkshake, the milkshake itself had chunks of Oreos in it which I liked. Parking is pretty limited at the restaurant but there is street parking available.

I had the bacon & bleu burger with a side of fries and a chocolate milkshake. The food arrived at the table hot and everything tasted very good. The milkshake lit up my yummy meter! My mother had the sweet potato french fries. They were the best we've tasted. The waitress seemed irritated like she was having a bad moment. Overall, Luna Park is a really cool joint with an old school vibe that dishes out great burgers, fries, and shakes.

I've been coming to Luna Park Cafe since I was young, but I haven't been in for quite a few years, despite living up the road. I'm not sure what I was thinking. Did I just forget how amazing the food is? How friendly the environment is? The great staff with their smiles & eagerness to help? I'm not quite sure why, but I'm glad I came back. They are constantly cleaning, which is really important to me. They're very friendly & weren't rude about my food requests. I wanted guac & tomato on my eggs bene, instead of meat or spinach. It was absolutely delicious. It came with a side of hash browns & I ordered a side of field roast. There's no way I can finish this. It's definitely a good-sized meal. Not huge, but not small. My eyes were bigger than my stomach, for sure. I’m really excited they have a vegan menu, also. I don't
usually eat animal products, but I was seriously craving some eggs bene & they delivered! Can't wait to come back & try some vegan options! For now, I'm gonna have this boxed up & head on home. Thanks to
everyone here!

Very good brunch spot in West Seattle. Didn’t realize I needed the French toast pancakes as much as I did, they were absolutely divine! I had a pretty basic breakfast meal and it’s satisfied my hunger and hangover. The only problem is that it’s relatively easy to get to so the wait can be kind of crazy. It should be noted that parking sucks in this area so be prepared to drop off your party and go park.

Super nice staff, amazing atmosphere, great shakes, if you are craving for one, this is the right place, good french fries and sweet potato fries (crispy and fresh) my friend order a medium rear steak and they brought him a well done steak after we were almost finish, my burger didn't have a lot of taste (patties).

The food was good! A little pricey for the size, though. The place is cool, don’t get me wrong but I’m giving this review because I don’t think it’s safe to let the neighbor’s cat inside. I was enjoying my food until I saw the cat on the table. I do like cats but I don’t think it’s hygienic to let it walk on the restaurant table.

My 2nd time having breakfast here (hubby’s 3rd). Once again, the food didn’t disappoint! Hit the spot is an understatement. We had the same as before EGGS BENEDICT (with hash browns) and SWEET SPECIAL/pancake with sunny side up egg and bacon). Seriously, savory the flavor! Vide is cool too! Everywhere fun fun/fair visuals. The guy who greeted/seated us looks like he’s bad add rocker and this place is his side hustle. Need to try other bfast items and return for a 🍔

Came on a Saturday night with a group of four, around 7:00 PM. We were immediately greeted and seated by very friendly staff. The walls and decor are all 1950-1970’s vibe, and each booth has its own juke box machine! The highlight of the night was the boozy milkshakes. We asked for a custom order shake and our server easily accommodated our request (I wanted a bushwhacker equivalent). The food was reasonably priced, with generous portions, and arrived shortly after we placed our order. My only small complaint was the speed of which our table was bussed. I accidentally left my to go container on our table after we exited the diner. It was less than five minutes after leaving that I realized, and ran back inside to get it. Our table had been cleared, and my box tossed in the trash. I normally don’t find this to be a big deal, but I wasn’t super hungry, and the majority of my meal was in the box. My request is for there to be a five minute holding period, before forgotten to go boxes are tossed? 😂 I understand that it’s my responsibility to remember my things, I would just love a small grace period. I would gladly come back again though!

Had a wonderful dining experience at luna park cafe. Very unique/cool environment, friendly staff, and fast service. We did have to wait 20 min to get seated but it was totally worth it, Food was delicious!

Another great meal, sitting outdoors on a gorgeous fall morning. While out of a fe staples, the Italian omlete was tasty with pepperjack and olives to replace the usual mozzarella and green onion.

Been coming here since I was a kid!! This is great historic West Seattle Restaurant. Kid friendly, and now they have a full on Vegan Menu!! Parking lot is a downer so I dont recommend it if you drive a big car.
The food is delicious, I also had the strawberry milkshake which was so sweet and creamy!
The staff are sweethearts and kind and they have a local kitty cat that comes into the restaurant. The cat isn't very fond of people, hard to pet it seems a bit skittish. But is cute!!

Love Luna Park. This is definitely a regular haunt of our. Our toddler lives for their pancakes. They truly do have the best shakes. Love their burgers/fries too! The vibe is great and so is the staff. I cannot recommend them enough!
Carol
I’m really happy about this place. We went for brunch and we got Strawberry Waffles and the Special French Toast. Big portions and delicious food! So tasty. The coffee was pretty good too. Staff excellent. It’s not so expensive. If you’re lucky you’ll find a parking spot right outside, if not, there are more spots along the street. I love the vibe in this place! They have jukeboxes that work, so cool. They have tables inside and outside.

Update:
Great service. Really cool decor, 50's style.
Yummy breakfast burrito and waffles.
Good prices and pretty decent coffee.
Very chill place. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the summer here, as you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze. The food was pretty good and the service was decent.

Have had 100’s of meals an milkshakes here, and miss it so much. It was always my place to meet a online date, it was a safe place. Hope it opens again soon.

My hubby has been doing road construction literally in front of Luna Park Cafe for the last few weeks so he eats here a lot lately. I have been able to join him a few times. Great little retro diner, staff is friendly, food was good (though the fries were a bit salty for my liking), milkshakes were amazing!!!
Sabin Dimitrov (Edinstvo)
I really like Luna Park Cafe. They have amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. I love the vintage feel the place has. The delicious food and drink selection is wide enough to make your mouth water and your thirst rise. The people there are very nice and friendly and it draws a family friendly crowd. I would definitely highly recommend Luna Park Cafe and give it a big five stars. A tiny bit pricy on some things but overall it's a great place to go. :)

I went here in the evening really hungry after a long run. The service and staff were awesome. My Greek salad was delicious as were the mushroom burger and the chicken tenders I got for my wife and little one. If I had not opted for the salad, I would've gotten an omelette as they serve breakfast till their 10pm closing time. :)

If your looking for a real authentic dinner, look no more. Luna has the look, feel and food to match your expectations. They pride themselves on this idea and deliver it every time. Breakfast, burgers, shakes... FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

Breakfast for lunch. A very good idea. This beauty is the Carnivore Pile. Aptly named for the incredible amount of ham, bacon, and sausage on top on hash browns, smothered in cheddar and topped with two eggs over easy. Add in the rye toast and a mug of black coffee and you are damned happy to be alive. 😁
Jaycey Ward
Fantastic burgers and fries! Everything tasted amazing and the fries were so crispy. We ate on the patio with our dog and received great service.
Danielle M. Weissenborn
Excellent place to pop in for breakfast or lunch. We came with our kids and brought GG with her walker. They sat us quickly and served drinks immediately. Very kind server, staff and quick service. Super neat vintage decor from many eras. Food was good and I will be back!
Dr Josh Brower
Really eclectic hole in the wall that is a great stop in Seattle. Very good food and a fun place to just sit and hang out. Great story about why they exist and what came before.
Enrique Rodriguez
I heard reviews on the Shakes and decided to try it out. I'm a huge fan of finding the Best Shakes possible. The more natural the better. I had an Espresso Shake and OMG!!! Seriously the best shake I've had in Washington State so far. It actually tastes like Espresso. It was super delicious and even had little Espresso grains!! I haven't had the food but as far as shakes go this place is the best so far thats why I'm giving 5 stars.
Cody Rowe
The customer service was prompt, my meal was enjoyable. There's a friendly mascot named sausage, very adorable kitten that greets the guest. Only complaint is the coffee, sub par. My time in Seattle at other establishments with coffee served has been similar so I don't hold it against Luna.
Randell Ouellette
All of their food is great. They have espresso and make great lattes, their waffles are amazing, as is all of their dinner. The staff are warm and welcoming. They have seats by a fire both indoors and outdoors. They make great cocktails. Definitely give this place a try!!
Murphy Godwin
Chicken fried steak was great. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly.
Tinson Luey
If you looking for a decent breakfast with reasonable price, this would be a perfect place for you. Restaurant atmosphere more like you are in New York, good food, service a little bit slow, since it's a small restaurant, its filled very quickly, but people spent more time in there, & you felt pressure eating your food, thinking about people waiting for availability, only if you are an inconsiderate person, than no issue at all of being feeling pressure. Overall experience alright. We love the food though! Parking is another issue to be considered.
Victoria Anderson
Food and service was fantastic!! Went here for breakfast multiple days during our vacation. The biscuits and gravy were delicious! Food came out fast and the staff was super friendly.
Marsha Dickgieser
Delightfully eclectic diner in West Seattle with all the nostalgia you need, including neon signs, vintage tile floor, classic diner booths and catchy jukebox tunes.
The food is solid and the breakfast can't be beat. Their milkshakes are phenomenal and definitely big enough to share. Their french fries are perfection and oh so crispy. The burgers are amazing and honestly I've never had anything on their menu that wasn't awesome.
The staff is great and is made up of a wide array of Seattle's quirkiest humans. They are all stellar and are great at juggling guests requests even on the busiest days. They also take their time with their older guests on the slower days. I've even seen then sit down with the elderly just so they can share stories.
Parking can be tricky and you may end up waiting for a table on the weekends but it's definitely worth the trip and really worth the wait.
Amanda Clark
We were driving through town and we wanted to stop by a diner. This one was a great choice! I had The Works burger with sweet potato fries and a strawberry and hot fudge malt. Yum! Everything was excellent and the food was done quickly! Come hungry because the portion sizes are big.
Christopher
The shakes are everything. The omelettes are tasty too, even if the space can be a little bit loud. The best part is the local aspect of Luna, and the casual nature of the restaurant.
TM Rosario
Vegan food that's crazy good! Yeah, I know, going vegan is good for the environment but I'm just unlucky and can't eat dairy. 😭 Their vegan breakfast burrito comes with both "cheese" and "sour cream" (and I swear it tasted like it had bacon). So good. My friend had the Ruben, he said it was good, nice serving of pastrami, but he wished it had more 'kraut and dressing. We both had to stop a few times when sipping our milkshakes. They were so good, we just had to take a moment and reflect on the meaning of life. He had a malt and I had vegan chocolate MILK SHAKE - something I haven't been able to enjoy in years. I might have shed a tear. Def coming back with friends.
Benjamin Koltz
Fun, funky, long time West Seattle staple. We've been coming here for years. Good basic diner food, and a fun vibe. They have a newly expanded vegan menu as well which is nice. Personal favorites are the Elvis burger or the Llama Pile. Check it out!
Anna Mfd
Awesome ambiance, cool staff, and great food. Can be really busy and parking can be limited during peak times.
Jamie C
Cute building, great milkshakes. Rest of food was average at best, a step up from Denny’s but nothing too special. Go for the history and the decorations.
Faye Hussong
We were visiting our son from Alabama.
I was instantly intrigued because of the name and outside decor. Once inside all I wanted to do was look at the walls, ceiling and the booths. It was like a walk back in time. I loved the metal lunchboxes.
We sat at a booth where we found a vintage jukebox on the wall. The menu was full of options for everyone. We went for breakfast twice during our visit. My husband discovered the Aardvark hot sauce and has been hooked ever since.
You can conclude your visit with your picture outside in the wooden face cut out.
Mark Tiedemann
Fun atmosphere! Good service and the prices are not bad. Make sure and check out their awesome milk shakes!
Makalai Michaels
This place was amazing the good was good, the people were kind and we did not feel rushed at all. My waffle was perfectly cooked and the strawberries tasted fresh and sweet.
Katie Buchl
When this place is good, it’s damn good. However, need to work on consistency. On the best days, I’d rate them 5-stars for vegan comfort food (options, flavor, quality, etc.). Today I ordered the grilled veggie, which is supposed to include onion, mushroom, and zucchini. Bummed they forgot the mushrooms and barely included any veggies. I’ve ordered this sandwich countless times, so I know what to expect. Also, they messed up our requested side options.
Will I come back? Sure, as long as the good days outnumber the bad. Love that they have a solid vegan menu.
CoCo Sammie
Great burgers and milkshakes! I was surprised to find such great hummus at a diner! Everything was fresh and the staff was great!
Laura Holton
Delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Friendly staff, fun kitchy decor with a sweet little nod to Seattle history. Good stuff!
Alex
Great food and service! Also, the unique hot sauces they sell are delicious! (Bootsie’s Sauce Co—the habañero garlic and Fire roasted Fresno flavors)
A Qaderi
It was a bit of a wait but totally worth it. Our waitress was really kind. You should definitely try a cinnamon roll.
Alea Fisher
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!! They've got really cool old style diner memorabilia on the wall, and some things for Seattle specifically, which is super cool! The food was DELICIOUS, and the service was spectacular. Very fast too! Will 100% be coming back here any time we're in Seattle!
Roxanne Gates
REALLY good food, fun eclectic atmosphere and a clean space. Service is always good, and usually pretty quick.
Theres a lot of choices for all types of diets, but if you eat meat, you must try the bacon.
Tryn T
Super neat place. I found that staff there to be very kind, pleasant, and attentive. The atmosphere was pretty cool, and the food was on point. I had french toast, eggs, and a cinnamon roll, as well as one of their lattes. All delicious - I was really pleasantly surprised how good the coffee was. And they have sweet merch! I got one of their black zip up hoodies as a memento for my first visit there, and it's really soft 😊 Great place, great food, and awesome people. I will definitely be coming back.
Landon Burch
Great vegan options! Great service. Cold beer!
Fresha Peppa
Yum yum! I had a delicious Reuben with perfectly fried onion rings. The staff are great here, I definitely feel like I'm in a diner with a blast from the past. They even give you free stickers with your tab! I see them all over town already but will do my part to spread the word.
Joe Reyes
This place is awesome! Service is great and the food is amazing! Such a retro feel to it! Love it!
Leanne Linsky
Really great breakfast! We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Service was excellent.
Beatriz Martinez Pan
A great place, with a very good decoration, the staff is wonderful, always willing to help and attentive if there is anything you need. The food is varied and really good quality. The best smoothie in the whole area
Kris Colburn
Very unique restaurant with fascinating memorabilia, enthusiastic wait staff, excellent food and a colorful, festive outdoor eating area. Old-time juke box was playing "The Candy Man"
Salvador Burgara
Best place to have a breakfast and best milkshakes in town!!
Daniel Davis
Mmmm...I had a pile she had a hobo. Cool spot, food was great. Hot coffee to drink outside during your short wait.
Matt Bissen
The food was really good, the kiddos especially loved the Mickey Mouse pancakes. The atmosphere is tons of fun with lots of cool decorations to see and my shake was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Sonny Subido
Love this local restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Only restaurant I know that serves coffee to guests waiting for a table. Offers fantastic vegan and vegetarian menu. Never disappointed.
Kathleen Catalano
Food was excellent... Service was great... Parking, well had to park a bit away. But not too bad. Great nostalgia inside. Highly recommend. My husband bought a t-shirt for $18. Most definitely will visit again when we visit West Seattle.
Jessica Pellegrini
Funky spot, great service and good food. I appreciate that they offer both vegetarian and vegan options. It will be much easier to get here once the West Seattle bridge reopens.
haley b
love this place! really enjoy the vibe, food, and decor! parking is limited but it’s never too bad. affordable prices, and bomb desserts!
Ethan Green
Enjoyed some saturday brunch here, complementary coffee during our short wait (15m). Biscuits and gravy we're on point, enjoyed with a beermosa 👌. Fun vibe, cool history. …
Bret Colebi
This place has earned its accolades. Ive seen the creepy stickers all over town, so I slept on it, but I am happy I finally came. Pricey for a diner, but absolutely great food. Good portions, great preparation. The sausage gravy beats all the other west seattle diners hands down. Chicken fried steak was full of flavor and not the least bit dry. Burger was perfect, fries were great. They do irish coffees the right way. I got a choco milk shake with a shot of screwball for only 13 bucks. Everything was good.
Pterodactyl Treason
The server was super nice and really good looking. Her name was Michelle. She served up the best Luna dip EVER! Super good food. Super good Michelle. Love!!
Kuni Alki
Diner in West Seattle has solid food choices and some great deals. Breakfast serve all day (except pancakes only in morning). Delicious shakes & malts, fries, burgers, and sandwiches.
Lynz Taylor (slashgiggle)
It was an interesting place, I went early to beat the crowd... I was sad there was no sprinkles on the hot chocolate, and the toast was a generic bread but it was a solid breakfast
Daniel Bannach
My girlfriend and I tried to eat at the Luna Park Cafe on 3/25, I've driven by this place a lot and it stays busy. We met a young woman at the door who looked at us, we smiled and said hello, a table for 2, please. This "host" looked at us like we were wasting her time. We asked if we could wait outside with beers, she brings us 2 and we waited about 15 minutes, it was great weather and we were excited because the decor and food looks even better on the inside and we were having a great time! We saw a sign that says birthday cake milkshake for 29th anniversary. Hell ya! It's my 29th birthday this week and i love milkshakes, especially birthday cake ones! The host/server(?) brought us to our booth. For the next 20 minutes we watched 3 servers pass us atleast twice each, some more than others and i made eye contact with the host a couple of times... no service came. We finished our beers, had our menus at the corner of the table, all set to order, and no one came to greet us once. Ive been in the service industry for 10 years and i'd like the management to know to get your team to step it up.. ya it's Seattle and there is a certain DGAF attitude at breakfast spots all around town but we just wanted adequate service because we can make our experience ours but we never got the chance. I don't plan on going back, but it did look good, we were excited at one point.
Brian P
I sat at the counter, as one must, when eating at an authentic Diner.
I was waited on by Val, she was perfectly attentive, with just the right amount of leaving me alone, which only comes with experience!
My food was made by Fernando, who does delicious things to food!
I ordered the Taco Salad, and the Chili Burger. Huge portions, no skimping! The Ground Beef & the chilli are awesome!
Then, I had to get a burger for Diohgie.
The staff were very accommodating!
Diohgie loved his burger!
Jeff Herrin
Luna Park is a major favorite of mine. The staff is awesome (especially Parker). They saved my phone which I spaced off and left there, were epically cool and let me sit and deal with my car drama during snowmageddon 2021. I scored some dope stickers and got friendly with Sausage the cat who tried to eat my mask. I'll keep coming back for the yummy drinks and breakfast all day.
Atari Betamax
Stopped in for a much needed beer. The folks working promptly asked for proof of vaccination and my ID. Once vaccination was verified I ordered a beer.
In an efficient and credible fashion a financial transaction took place without a hitch.
Pleasantries we're likewise exchanged.
Upon receipt of my beer I headed to a booth and drank said beer. And lo, it was good. All was good.
Five out of five. 😉👍🏼
Shelbie Moser
Only 1 vegan breakfast option but this is a prime example of quality over quantity! It was AMAZING.

Woo hoo , this is the place for breakfast. Man was everything good. Good vegan menu too
MSW
Luna Park is a Seattle dining landmark. A retro styled diner with a great menu of obvious fare as well as things you may not have thought of, in a style that matches the eclectic decor. Lovingly owned by life long Seattlite John Bennett who has many buildings south of downtown that he has kept from the wrecking ball as well as interloping developers, and restored them providing affordable places for residents and local small business. When you spend your money here, you actually are spending it here. Tucked neatly under the west Seattle Bridge near the beginning of Alki beach, right along the bike way, Luna Park is a great place to get a bite to eat in West Seattle. Also world's largest Fender styled Statocaster Guitar.
Ema Fawadi
Food was great and I LOVED how it looked from the inside. I’ve been in Seattle for 19 years and this was my first time going here and honestly I’m very happy I choose to come :) My server was Lily, she seemed sweet but it seems like we might have caught her on a bad day. So the service overall is not what I thought it would be, but everyone else was super sweet.
Dee Wells
From the moment we (my wife & I) pulled into the parking lot (several open spots as it was Tuesday 12:30pm) our eyes darted back and forth catching glimpses of a bygone era presented in an abundance of kitschy antiques😁.
this is a quaint museum that just
happens to have GREAT FOOD & PROMPT, COURTEOUS SERVICE.
I delved into the Reuben (as close to homemade as possible) and my wife succumbed to the BLT.
As for the fries,I give 2 thumbs up👍👍.
We both fed several dollars worth of quarters into a ravenous mini-juke box, with quite an impressive selection of 50's-present *POP!* hits.
The price was fair (this being Seattle and all)
Luna Park Café has won us over, and we will visiting often.
Thanks to the staff!
Everyone deserves a raise!
*note*
I have never been to Luna Park Café, nor do I know anyone associated with this little, kick-ass piece of Seattle.
Nicola Eenink
its a little expensive but you get huge portions and theyre really great with substitutions in their breakfast menu! however, i did get very sick after eating there and threw up throughout the day after my hobo hashbrown pile.
Gail Wiesner
This place got a lot of local hype, so I wanted to try it. I had a burger that was small, dry and not well dressed. Parking is a nightmare. The staff is extremely nice.
Michelle Trevino
Awesome experience!! Great food, friendly, fun staff! Super cool, glad we found it 😀 …
Carlos Scogliera
I've been to this place a few times already. I enjoy the atmosphere, but not the service. I've really tried giving this place a chance, but it's just not clicking. For one, it takes forever to be greeted and get a table even if there is no waiting. Then once you're seated, there's another lengthy wait for the waitress to take your order. Now to the food. Honestly, Denny's is way better. There's really no reason to stop at this place for food. The eggs are always overcooked. Their omelettes are dry and require a beverage to get down. I really wish they also had more of an a la carte selection. Perhaps it's best they don't though, as 4 sausage links cost a whopping $6. Is this place overpriced? Not if the food were really good, but it's too mediocre. The food quantity is there. Good solid portions. Just heavy in nothing special. The best bet is too stick with pancakes. I see lots of folks order them. I'll try them again in the hope that something changes.
Kirk Meeks
Always went to Luna park cafe before becoming vegan in 2013, just recently went back and was so happy to see they have a complete vegan menu beside their regular menu, make sure to ask for it since they didn't offer it to us until we ready about it on the regular menu in small print! The vegan menu has options for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as vegan milkshakes! Food was good and service was great! Nice spot to grab a quick meal! I'll be back to try even more if their vegan options! 🌱💚🙏 so good!
Robert Otero
Loved it. Great locals place to eat and get the bomb milkshakes/ malts. Such a cozy, nostalgic place. Gotta love it here. Highly recommend!
Tim Aidlin
I love this place. A really old skool diner — one of the first restaurants in West Seattle? — and just great. I go there with my kids all the time and love looking at all the lunchboxes on the ceiling.
Nick Cassano
Fantastic spot for great diner food, beer and milk shakes. A super fun time if you're in west Seattle!!!
Christopher “Schlep” Schnee
The coolest most relaxing/ good eating place near me. The people are very friendly and helpful. Food is great but the milk shakes are the best in the city that I know of. The decorations inside are fun to look at to. So good I took my son, who's in the military, there when he was home to visit and he and his girlfriend loved it.
angela wang
My favorite breakfast joint, serving big portions, brunch cocktails, and old school milkshakes in a nostalgic setting. The tabletop jukeboxes aren't for show either so come with quarters. Service is usually friendly and fast too. Only con is coffee is $5 which doesn't make any sense as it tastes like regular drip coffee.
brant kane
A classic diner experience, great burger, great milkshakes, and the perfect West Seattle vibe, not sure what else you need for a great lunch! Oh yea! The prices are reasonable as well.
Kirk Maringer
I go just for the milkshakes, the best! Still the best desserts in West Seattle!
Dara Jolly
We love this place for breakfast! Lots of options with different combos from omelettes to piles to hobo style. I love the "earth" and the veggy. While you are there... Do NOT miss their milk shakes. Chocolate peanut butter or mocha or espresso are favorites for us. Larges are easily shared as they are 20oz! Dine in or take out.
Zachary Downing
Wonderful dinner. Has very great vegan options and a great take out service. Called 30 mins prior and was steaming fresh when we arrived. To top it all off, we had their wonderful milkshakes. Best dinner in west Seattle!
Linda Sumas
Service and food were amazing! Great little spot; highly recommend!!
Leda Costa
I've had breakfast/brunch here a million times and it's always been such good comfort food that hits the spot. Gluten free/vegan friendly!
Christine Palmerton
Great coffee, food, service. Funky old diner decor.
Natasha Slaight
Super cute, great staff, great experience. Had cool little touches
P B
Very good hamburgers, and best milkshakes in the town
Orion Brown
This is my new favorite diner. It's super fun decor, tasty food and great service!
Stephen S
Really great sandwiches and burgers!!!
I had the corned beef and the wife had a burger. My corned beef was made with thick slices of meat and caraway rye.
Rachel Green
Always friendly. Always delicious. Best diner in West Seattle, and maybe even all of Seattle, by a country mile.
Natalia Wojcik
Food is AMAZING. Atmosphere is comfortable and unlike any other diner you’ve been to. The owner (who often hosts) is so nice to talk to and is great at what he does. Sometimes the servers are slow to greet you but the food and coffee comes out so quick it doesn’t even matter. 10/10 recommend

Food is always good when I visit Seattle on the regular. This time I give it 3 stars because I ordered a club sandwich on white bread and was given rye instead. I wish someone would have told me they were out of bread before they took my order and paid. Before I was given my food, I overheard the waitress telling the owner that we're out of white and sourdough and then looks at me as in oops, I shouldn't have said that. Club was not tasty on rye at all. I did not enjoy my food! That wasn't the best customer service experience.

Amazing carnivore/vegan restaurant! The food is delicious and the portions are big. A great family atmosphere and loads of fun stuff to look at. While we were waiting to be seated we stopped next door and watched the guy blowing glass. Despite the construction going on out in the street, business is booming. What a fun place to bring my family!

The food was ok. The service was abysmal. The one saving grace was the French fries, which were delicious, and the place has a cool aesthetic.
Brian Ruhe
Great Sunday brunch! Amazing service! Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the late morning sun!
Muriel Butler
It was great! Service great, food was nice , hot,and tasty. Those who had milkshakes said they were the best they had ever had.
Aubry Dugan
Wow fantastic! Lots of vegetarian options and tons of tasty drinks and dessert options. A real old school diner feel but with some solidly amazing fare. Can't wait to visit again!
Angela Wang
Great greasy spoon diner that's best for breakfast or brunch. They have hashes on the menu which isn't very common, a lovely list of milkshake flavours, and well priced mimosas. There's usually a wait outside on the weekends but the coffee they put out is a thoughtful touch.
Jay Hitt
Loved it! My daughter said it was her new favorite place. Lots of personality and fun paraphernalia all around. It reminds me of a classic malt shop.
Judy Waleryszak
Outstanding as usual! Even with the limits currently for "only take out service" no cuts on quality, presentation or super staff attitudes! I called my order in and when I arrived there was a table set across the doorway to maintain the 6-foot social distancing between me and the waitress; I was all done and on my way in less than 5 minutes. Great work!

This cafe is amazing. The staff is super friendly and the service is quick. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s definitely worth it! The food is really good, especially their breakfast. My friends and I love coming here after a night out because the breakfast is so great. 10/10 would recommend this place.

An instant favorite!! Came here for the first time last weekend and became a fan right away. Super fun vibe in this small little diner, with fun music and decor. The breakfast cocktails and food was so delicious that I considered going back for dinner. The pancake was cooked to perfect (I'm picky, so this is saying a lot!), the eggs Benedict was delicious, and the taco "pile" is something I definitely recommend trying.
So happy that I live a mile from here -- I see myself becoming a bit of a regular here.
Kimberly Jewell
We brought our kids and dog in because we'd been wanting to stop in for over a year. Greeted by an impressive waitress that not only did her job well but even spoiled our dog with a special treat. Yet , I can not say nice things about the management.

Luna Park Cafe is such a cute, fun place. Aside from the fact that their milkshakes are "to die for" they also have excellent entrees. In addition, they serve breakfast ALL day. There is both inside and outside seating. I have never had a dish there that I didn't enjoy. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the Seattle area.
Jeff Steinmiller
A West Seattle standard. Great food, good service. Nice outdoor seating when the weather cooperates. You might even get a visit from the neighborhood cat who lives nearby.
NowI'mMe
I love this cool restaurant in West Seattle! It's decorated with old vintage advertising signs and lunch boxes. It's a small restaurant on the inside but has outdoor seating when the weather is warm. They advertise that they have THE best milkshakes for miles around but my friends and I will have to come back here in the summer to try those. It's getting to be winter and we wanted warm breakfasts with plenty of hot coffee.
The prices are typical for this part of West Seattle but the food portions make up for the steep prices. And the quality of the food is incredible. They serve breakfast all day, everyday and burgers, fries, sandwiches, ice cream floats, the aforementioned milk shakes, pie, lava cake...what more can you ask for. Be advised that on the weekend, the place gets packed. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait outside for about thirty-five minutes. Luckily, although it was cold outside, the sun was shining and we were dressed for colder weather. There are chairs outside and a portable heater warmed our legs as we waited.
Don
Very nice and cozy restaurant! Very nice staff and food is fresh!
Natalie Holbrook
One of my best friends is a vegan and we came here for their vegan options! She was not disappointed and neither was I with my very non-vegan meal. Highly recommend! If we didn't have ice cream right before coming we would have gotten a milkshake (they have vegan milkshakes). Next time we will!
Doug Kenyon
Had the Reuben. A couple of chewy pieces in the beef, but quite tasty.
The staff was fantastic, friendly and attentive.
Taylor Verburg
I have been to Luna Park many times over the years and it is always the same. Service with a smile, fun atmosphere and the best milkshakes around. I haven't had the food but it's pretty standard diner fair. People have said the chili fries are quite good as well. Definitely worth a stop!
Igor Draskovic
Americana to its core. Great food, never failed to fill me up, all America style with some Mexican thrown in (cause isn’t America a melting pot anyway?). Shakes are incredible, best in town some say. Burgers are always thoroughly cooked and juicy. Breakfast also has a lot of classic options. If you’re staying in West Seattle I highly recommend.
Jennifer Whitaker
Cute place with a lot of nods to the historical Luna Park with the decor. Food was good and really the breakfast plates are large enough to split for two. I was jealous of the milkshakes I saw at other tables but I didn’t order one because, well breakfast. The only con was that some of the waitstaff seemed irritated when we asked for water refills or crayons for the kiddo. They seemed to have plenty of people working but a few were sour. The rest were very nice.

I love this place. It's so fun and the food is perfect. Great portions and just what one would hope for from a diner. The staff is exceptional.

We stopped in Saturday 8/7 on our way to the airport. Our first trip there we waited and no one came to take our order my husband asked for the check and the mgr was very apologetic like everywhere they are short staffedtoo. We decided to to stay and eat and it wasgreat food. We will totally be back. They gave us a discount which was not necessary it happens and husband was a little hangry. Highly recommend....

What a trippy spot! Great food. Such a treat!

I love Luna Park Cafe - cool vibe, tasty food. I come here often whenever I’m in West Seattle 🤙 …

UPDATE AUGUST 2021:
Consistently good. I've been slowly going through the menu and have not been dissapointed. My only criticism is the wait time. It's worth the wait.
ORIGINAL:
Great service and friendly staff. I got the breakfast burrito and it was great!
Paige Luebbert
We enjoyed this place. We arrived around 2 pm on a sunday afternoon, and this place was still slammed. They were able to get us to booth very quickly though. Our service was prompt, and out service was good. The server accidentally gave me a Turkey sandwich instead of tuna (I changed my mind at the last minute, so not his fault) and it turned out to be very delicious anyways.Would recommend if you're in the area
Kay
It was a unique experience. I personally felt the inside was cramped and the there was a lot going on- others might enjoy this. I ordered a scramble and it was plain for my taste. The service was average, but not as friendly as I would have enjoyed. I would give 3.5 stars if it was an option, but I’ll round up! Based on the other reviews I am open to trying it again.
Kirk Brantner
Good food. Great atmosphere. Popular place.
Seth LaBrow
The staff is very nice, and service is prompt. Breakfast is served all day, and is great no matter what you order!
Marc Bell-Cruz
Friendly service with above average food. The diner itself is filled with nostalgic memorabilia that some could find overwhelming.
Nathan McCauley
I go every other Saturday night. The staff there are great! They kept checking up on the party I was with to see if we need anything everything was satisfactory and if we were enjoying ourselves. It wasn't just the one time 10 minutes after getting our food seeing if everything's okay. Not only was the staff great. The food tastes amazing. I have had the Swiss and mushroom sandwich chicken tenders hot fudge lava cake and the milkshakes, and everything that I have tasted has been above and beyond what I expected. Great job Lena Park Cafe.
Jason Brown
50's style diner here. I love the old style places and history. Show up in your tri-5 chevy and you will fit right in. Great burgers and brew. All American great food and service too. Thank you.
Jessica Lebowski
Went here for breakfast with my daughter-- liked it so much we went back for lunch! Breakfast was delicious, the chocolate banana shake I got with my lunch was the best I've ever had, and what exactly makes the fries so good?? Everyone working there treated us great. Looking forward to going back the next time we're in Seattle!
Chris Tucker
Love Luna Park! I don't get here very frequently as I don't live in West Seattle but since we were within 3 or so miles off the freeway heading home from Seattle, this was my number one choice. Tonight I had a Southwestern Burger with sweet potato fries. It was probably the best burger I've had in well over a year. Simply delicious meld of flavors and not hot at all, just scrumptious. They advertise having the best milkshakes in Seattle, and while that is likely accurate, I'm fighting a cold and avoiding sugar. Next time for sure.
Heather Wilson
Great little book I never would've noticed if a friend hadn't suggested it. They were pretty average priced and had great coffee. They had all the usual goodies for breakfast bites. My one issue was with the pancakes. They only add the fruit to the batter and not on top. It was the driest pancake. Otherwise a great spot but get there early or they are packed.
Fresenai Afeworki
A must try place for breakfast in Seattle! I love their Italian sausage omelet!
Motorist Chamblizi
Nice little stiff breakfast adult drinks wanted a drink + coffee for breakfast with my wife on our anniversary.
Good food, kudos first time there

The waiters were very friendly and nice. The place had amazing food. Ranging from the waffles to eggs Benedict. And the milk shakes were awesome. Over all the place was very nice place, not the healthiest choice though. Also the decorations were cool and fun. The walls were decorated with old school Coca-Cola signs and other old school signs, that gave the store a nice feel. It also was a very comfortable place to be it was the perfect temperature and even has very clean restrooms (only went into the men's but I assume the girls bathroom is the same) ! Overall a great place to stop while in Seattle
Richard Newton
Americana/Pop decor along with a surprisingly varied menu makes Luna Park Cafe a great dining experience for both visitors and locals. Good food and nice folks.
Sameer “Sam” Ansari
Great atmosphere, prompt service, fresh OJ and BLTs, no complaints here
Josh Goggans
This place is historical and amazing!!!! Last place I ate before I moved to Arizona. It's classic Seattle hole in the wall dining at is best. What I assume was the owner helping the staff and singing and playing oldies on the retro jukebox. It's a one in a million. And example of what I will miss most about Seattle. The food was plentiful and VERY good. Unfortunately we were there just after breakfast service and I hear that is there specialty, and if it's better than the burger I ordered next time I visit home I will make sure to be there early. Great time great restaurant
Rachell Caines
Service is great, food is great, patio is great! Parking limited but workable. Great Place, regular breakfast spot and will be back!
Melissa Franklin
Love this place! My husband and I go there regularly for breakfast and dinner. The food is delicious, the people are friendly, and the service is fast. Weekend breakfast gets really busy after 9, so unless you're a table for 2, there will be a wait (but there's coffee while you wait!) Very much recommend!
Kahealani
What a great place for a weekend brunch. My husband and I went around 1pm Saturday/Sunday. Free parking across the street. We were told 10 - 15 minute wait and were seated less than 5 minutes later. The diner itself is absolutely adorable. I've only been here twice but saw new knick knacks the second time. Loved that we were able to order "off menu" for a chicken fried steak. The country gravy was delicious. Eggs Benedict had a good size ham and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. Fun little juke box on the table. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Clean bathrooms, which is always a plus. We will definitely return!
Monica Mccarthy
Super cozy, historic, and interesting diner type cafe. They have AMAZING milkshakes!! The foods good and service is friendly! The atmosphere is fantastic and has tons of pieces to look at while waiting (: usually has. Little bit of a wait but usually not too long!
Ryan Paredez
I went for the brekkie hobo carnivor style. The service was quick and solid. I also got a cheeky mimosa which turned out quite big. A nice surprise.
This place has an eclectic vibe to it too, lots of old signs and trinkets. Would definitely come back to eat here again.
Thomas Honles
Fabulous place to enjoy breakfast or lunch with a friend, or alone. Features delicious breakfast and lunch choices, served in a small diner space filled with kitschy curiosities hanging from ceiling and walls. Server attitude was average and not stellar but the food and space make up for what might have been a burned out and tired server. Outside seating is also available and on a nice day in Seattle, is worth a try if you don't mind being on a busy road. Now if the 1950s vintage Batmobile and Batman driving coin operated ride in the diner actually worked, I would have rated this place 6 out of 5 stars, but 5 out of 5 ain't too bad.
Sami Saurus
I worked here for over 4 years and I still love to go back and eat the food, have a milkshake and visit my friend Kalilah who still works there. We had friends visiting from Vegas and Chris did a milkshake review with his strawberry banana shake. I reccomend the mint over fudge shake, myself.
Jamison Johnson
Great food and ambiance. Parking can be tricky. Also can be busy, but solid food and even GF/DF vegan options.
Michael Taylor-Judd
Great food, great shakes, great service from a restaurant that's been serving West Seattle for forty years! What now could you possibly want? A nostalgic trip through your childhood? They have that too!
Rosemary Funk
Luna Park Cafe was a charming Cafe. All the food is exceptional. I am really can't pinpoint one favorite to another. I do love their cheeseburgers and french fries. Their chocolate shakes and strawberry shakes are to die for. Let's eat breakfast while there's just so much to choose from but this morning I had the scrambled egg with ham and cheese. They also have gluten free bread !!
Shahar Hochma
The food was really good and the service was even better. They also have a very good selection of vegan food.
Highly recommend the biscuits as part of breakfast and the vegan peanut butter milkshake was amazing
Sasha Shaw
My family loves the mellow, relaxed atmosphere and fun music and decorations but it's really the milkshakes that keep drawing us back. I enjoy watching families of all sizes and shapes at this restaurant. It seems like a place where everyone is welcome and can feel at home.
Anderson Burton
Great diner atmosphere with excellent milkshakes and some of the best burgers around. It has a coil 1950's vibe complete with old coin operated jukeboxes and Elvis memorabilia. It isn't fancy but it is still one of my favorite places for classic American fare.
Beth Cantrell
I love this West Seattle diner. The food is mostly simple with high quality ingredients, their mascot is Satan (hilarious), milkshakes are seriously amazing, and they have lots of tiny jukeboxes all over. Great spot for any meal, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Just be aware the parking lot is tiny!
Brander Roullett
This is such a fun place. They have a lot of vintage carnival type stuff all over the walls and nice tattooed staff. It's like Denny's if you went through the rabbit hole into wonderland. Food is good. Service is excellent. Worth a visit Go before noon if you want pancakes though.
Rick Hoang
Came here because some friends recommended it to me. I was not disappointed. The service was very friendly and prompt. The food was delicious. We notice the table next to us had malts and they looked so delicious. I'm going to have to come back just for that. We came for lunch and we were told that they also have a dinner menu.
Raymond Hickok
The piles are so good! Great place to stop for breakfast.
Gabrielle Padley
Super awesome friendly staff, very accommodating and the food is wonderful!! They messed up my order (simple mistake) and didn't hesitate to fix it! It was very appreciated. Def get a burger there. They even have vegan milkshakes I need to go back and try!!
Bailey Brix
I love this Cafe, the decor is fantastic and in keeping with the theme it has a jukebox that you can pick your songs. The food is delicious for breakfast or brunch. The waitstaff are very fast and friendly as well. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Clay Hutchinson
I really enjoyed my adventure here. I had the veggie pile, which was excellent! They were very busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. I elbowed my way in and asked for a cup of coffee for my wife. I was struck by the kind and patient way they gave this to me. Do be aware that the parking sucks. In fact, we missed a poorly marked out of place curb ramp, which resulted in a not so kind neighbor complaint and ticket.
Haley Jorgenson
Been going there since I was a little kid. Always loved the fun, unique and inviting environment. Great place to bring kids. Service is great, decor is on point and food is good. They recently released a separate vegan menu which is great for me! 10/10
Sarah Fredrick
We love Luna Park Cafe. It isn't the absolute best food in West Seattle, but it's the best atmosphere. The service is wonderful, and decor is so fun, and the menu is awesome. Great place for brunch, a burger or a happy hour beer or milkshake. This is a pretty great place for vegans, as well. Highly recommend it!
AXE HAKA
It was a perfect meal after moving all morning on Christmas Eve. We love their vegan options and their root beer floats are ahhmazing!
Bryan Fiedorczyk
This is my kids' favorite place to eat, partly for the kid's menu and great milkshakes, but also for the ambiance and decor. Pre COVID, they really enjoyed the Batmobile ride and prize machines. We continue to support through take out now, and the staff are really friendly. The burgers are excellent and I love Jackie's Favorite - a hot turkey sandwich with chiles and au jous for dipping - yummm!!!
Amy Ezzo
One of my first experiences here was years ago when my friends and I went for a bite just a few minutes before closing time. We had no idea it was closing time until after we left and saw they had been closed for over an hour. The employees were so gracious and never even gave us a hint that it was time to go by doing any of the typical end of the night tasks like stacking chairs or mopping floors. Ever since, I have loved this place and I take friends here often. They really are some of the kindest people.
Thabata Regiani
Great breakfast spot, very near Alki Beach. They have an outdoor seating area that is great during sunny days.
Service is very fast and friendly, and the food is delicious. I really appreciate that they have vegetarian versions of most of their dishes. We will be coming back soon!
Reena A
This place is SO GOOD, it's a West Seattle institution! Their fries are to die for, their prices are reasonable and pick up is pretty quick! One of my favorite places to go.
Tim Spe
One of my favorite spots in West Seattle. I always get a shake- the combinations are seemingly endless. I normally get burgers or sandwiches here and they are delicious. The staff are always welcoming and make it an enjoyable place to eat.
Jonquil Elise Dreadful
I love the atmosphere here. The staff is always friendly and adorably styled. The best butterscotch milkshake and delicious perfectly textured French fries! Great location and easy parking.
Calista Lubash
Wonderful ambiance of eclectic, memoribilia - they even have a juke box! The staff was friendly, service was good, food was okay. Could have just been our experience, but the flavors didn't quite meet with the expectations of many in our party that day. Coffee was delicious, and they were generous with the refills. We will try again!
April Keli
The handful of times I have been here, we have either had to wait for a seat or were seated immediately. I try to come here after the breakfast rush so we can take our time to eat because Luna Park serves large portions.
The decor here is a feast for the eyes, looks like a diner in a Fallout 4 settlement. The food is served quickly and pretty delicious. Staff is friend and attentive.
Danielle Newsome
I really enjoy this diner. The food is very good and so is the service. A nice casual place and they serve breakfast all day. Best of all- they have gluten free bread and burger buns AND vegan cheese available!
Max Puls
I've eaten at Luna Park for many years. It's a fantastic "1950s diner" that evokes the heady days of Luna Park in Seattle's 1920s. They get busy but have friendly, fast service and the food is delicious every time. Took my parents there when they visited and they loved it. Highly recommended eatery!
Joseph Paolini
I really wanted to like Luna Park, but despite my optimism it is an average place to eat at. The staff was very nice, but the food was quite average. It does have a bit of the nostalgic and charming diner feel, mixed with some weird wall ornaments. I hopped off the C-line to stop in, in the future I'll likely stay on the bus and hop off at California Junction and eat there.
Rogue
Wonderful place! Wonderful people, good music, good food, and good times!
Peggy Jackson
This is the best place!! The Turkey is real baked everyday! I never had a bad dish all the years I have been visiting this establishment (first meal was 1988.) All the out of town visitors from NY to California enjoyed not only the food, but the atmosphere as well. Hope they never close!!
