Reviews of LOCAL Public Eatery Terry Ave
Food is delicious. Beer selection is top notch. Dog and family friendly. There is a bar is you're looking for adult only atmosphere. Mid day and late night happy hour make this place a great bargain. Lots of room for bigger groups. Staff is super friendly and very fun. A gem of SLU.
The local fried chicken is crispy and yummy. The heat sneaks up on you.
Cheese perogies are perfection. Delicious. Must try
Hot wings are mid, but satisfying.
It was our team's first night in the city. We decided to meet here for dinner. The service was not that great. We ordered our food and the server didn't even bother to give us napkins and when we requested they said oh I was on my break. The service industry has definitely progressed as I have never expected such an answer before. Maybe the employees are frustrated due to the lack of enough staff but still if you're in the service industry you have to be thinking about your customers. My team ordered burger and fish tacos which were delicious but it would have been delightful only if the server also felt delightful serving us. So if you still plan to go here do not forget to get the yam fries it's delicious.
We stop for brunch on the way to the maritime museum. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and offers good food. We enjoyed the Fried Egg Enchiladas and Avocado Eggs Benedict. These dishes had great presentation and tasted absolutely delicious. The potatoes were overcooked. Sadly, we did not sample the drink menu or bar food. Well, I guess it is a good excuse to go back.
While the people were nice, there was room for improvement in service.
π
Food is decent but I felt its a bit expensive. The horrible part is the service. We were a group of 18 people and there was only one person to serve for the entire table. Even more horrible is that this person is responsible for many other tables too. This made them unresponsive at times. Since they are charging above average prices, I expected the service to be much better and shortage of staff should not be the reason.
We went there to grab drinks in the evening and tried two vegetarian starters. Indian style Roti with coconut curry and cheese & potato perogies, both were delicious. We were not served water and had to ask for it. Pet friendly place. Outdoor seating is a plus :)
Good food and cheap late night happy hour at LOCAL! Good service, and drinks. Thai noodle salad and Korean BBQ bowl were both hearty and delicious. Would try more of the appetizer menu the next time, as the crispy potatoes were a great beginning to the meal.
One of my favorite “local” spots!
I’ve been here many times and always enjoy the food and drinks. Service is always friendly and attentive. They also have multiple tvs for sports and a great atmosphere. Things I like to enjoy when coming are:
Bloody Mary - drink
Michelada - drink
Draft beers - drink
Blue crush - drink
Local chicken - app
Crispy potatoes - app
Fried chicken ramen - entree
Any burger on the menu - entree
Breakfast burger - entree
Fries are some of the best in SLU - side
Decent brunch, but a bit pricey for what you get. Service was nice and there was no wait on sunday at 11:30am. I do really like how big the space is to accommodate larger groups
I ate CALABRIAN CAESAR SALAD & drank COLADA CRUSH.
Service was nothing special however this was the best solid of my life and I am truly not also the fried chicken curry was amazing as an appetizer. 100% will go back.
The beer and the food was decent. The burger buns were kind of cold, though... like our dishes weren't served until quite a while after they had come out. The atmosphere was good. Not much else is available in this hood.
Bonus points for being a dog friendly place - nothing is more inviting than a wagging tail when walking to your table! We stopped here in the evening a few years ago and my wife was impressed at their avocado "hippie" toast, which is brought us back this time. Unfortunately it's no longer on the menu nor could they make it, so she opted for avocado eggs benedict instead. The eggs were cooked perfectly and exactly as she specificied. Loaded crispy potatoes were just the right amount of food for a brunch bite, and had good jalapeno flavor without being too spicy. Service was fast and attentive.
Decided to come eat here for dinner for the first time. We were happy to see that there was a Boba drink under there seasonal cocktails. The drink itself was really good coming from a Boba addict. It wasn’t too sweet and it wasn’t too strong. For the food, we got the Malaysian chicken curry and burgers, which were all delicious.
The happy hour mystery red wine was surprisingly good! As were the fish tacos. Good portion, and super tasty. Was here for a work after hours and we were treated really well. Would recommend!
Perfect neighborhood place to grab bites. Huge restaurant with great service and a wide menu selection with all great food. We’ve been multiple times now and everything we’ve had is delicious. The local fried chicken is probably our favorite. They do great to-go ordering as well and the quality is still there. Allows dogs in their patio seating. Great sports bar feel for a portion, the other portion more trendy neighborhood spot. Something for everyone.
on a second visit we had brunch and it was fantastic. Only a few choices but they all sounded great and the hash was delicious.
Great service that checked up on us often, and very friendly staff to boot. Ordered the pierogies, pork stack, and Caesar salad, and definitely met those cravings. Plenty of screens towatch sports games, plenty of outdoor and indoor seating for all situations.
Ordered the poki bowl and the truffle cheeseburger with the impossible patty. Poki bowl was delicious! The burgers was okay. Fries were good. Blue crush and the aperol cocktails were great! Nice vibes and good music playing. Definitely recommend for a group hangout.
Amazing ambience and good food. The food was a bit pricy but had good quality ingredients. I got the chicken Malay bowl and the dish was really tasty and chicken was cooked just right and tasted fresh.
One of those places I can never seem to put my thumb on and just by chance I get terrible and slow service amd my food is always underwhelming.
I've never had the best experience here. The food is borderline good, which isn't a bad thing. It's really the service that always rubs me. No one else seems to have the same experience I do so I won't rate them too harsh.
On my last trip I ordered the tacos, and honestly they were good and priced about right for thr area. Most of the items on the menu are pretty basic or probably shouldn't even be on the menu. I haven't found a bar yet that should have peroges on their menu. I will probably never order them at a bar again.
What I will say is this is a great env to just eat and drink with a few friends. Almost like a more hipster version of Applebee's. If Applebee's and hard rock had a baby. Or maybe a cousin.
I'm not in a rush to come back, but I will say I do enjoy this place more now than I did back a few years ago.
This place have good music, loud but u can still carry a conversation, although door is not welcoming, the bartender will give you a good service. Menu is very mix, they have Ramen, rice bowl, poke, fish n chips, and sandwiches! I really like the place itself, high ceiling, huge restaurant with an open kitchen! I ordered Bbq rice bowl, it was good, with pork bbq, slaw and a sunny up egg, with a korean spice sauce. Good for chilling.
Went here for apps and drinks. Amazing food and would recommend. Some times might be a little pricey, but I can over look that for the quality. We ordered dumplings, pierogies, and tacos. Our favorite? We couldn’t decide because they all were so good
Pretty standard American food, upscale ish sports bar. We ordered two cocktails which one was overwhelmingly too sweet that you couldn't taste anything but the artificial sour apple flavor. It was pretty disappointing as the pun of the cocktail was great. They seemed a bit overpriced but because it's in SLU you can charge that. Our food wasn't anything that you wouldn't expect. I asked my server for a coke and she never brought it. We eventually just asked for a box and went on our way. Also felt a little odd that all the servers were wearing low cut tank tops and jeans on a rainy Seattle day. Not sure what the concept is with that.
Love this place. Had never been here before, my wife and I were so happy to have found it. Chris and Kailey provided excellent service and the vibe/lighting was really cool. Great place to spend a late night near the South Lake Union area.
Various of wine/beer options, foods are fine. Here might be crowded at the end of the day, be sure to call in first. The server friendliness are ok and can be improved more.
Brunch was great! The eggs Benedict was yummy and the mimosas had fresh orange juice in them. Overall happy and would come back! The service was prompt and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Seemed a bit pricy for what you got, but everything was good! Impressed with the potatoes.
Good food, as last dinner tried their chicken sandwiches - blackened chicken sandwich and crispy chicken sandwich. Both were good👍.
Yummy impossible burger and cool happy hour at night with good drinks! Everything I could ask for. Definitely returning :)
I had the best sweet potato fries EVER during my visit last month. Servers were super friendly and attentive. Price of food is fair considering the pretty stellar quality of food. Would love to return!
This is the second time trying this place. I wanted to like it more but it just doesn't produce. The food isn't anything special, equivalent to a Denny's but overpriced. The cocktails although not bad are overloaded with ice and feel a bit shortchanged. When it gets moderately crowded the noise is unreal. The sound bounces off the walls and having to shout at your party or date who's seated next to you is a bit ridiculous. However the service from the hostess to the waitress to the busser were exceptional.
Lively eatery with delicious options for all ages.
LOCAL Public Eatery is easily one of the better restaurants in SLU. Boasting a informal and welcoming vibe, along with tons of choices from burgers to curry bowls, there's not much to dislike.
I've personally been to this restaurant a couple of times and had the Local Burger and the Fish and Chips, both of which were well made and tasted delicious. Prices are reasonable for the neighborhood, which are known to be atrocious. During both visits, the staff were great and very helpful.
Overall, the LOCAL Public Eatery is definitely a top spot for a casual burger in SLU, and I look forward to returning.
Lively atmosphere and friendly bar staff! My favorites are the beef tacos or the steak & fries.
FRIENDLY BAR, GOOD SERVICE. GREAT HAPPY HOUR, NICE PLACE TO SIT AT THE BAR
Literally one of the best salads Ive ever had. We sat at the bar, it was busy yet the bartender kept our delicious drinks full and never kept us waiting.
Again my Salad was Amazing. LPE Greens 10/10 recommend
The Local burger and the Deluxe burger were good, but the Shrimp Dumplings were fantastic! Good service and a nice clean place...
Pretty cool place to catch a game. It's clean and well maintained. The food department needs some work though, the food is subpar and it seems like they messed up our burger orders as well. The fish and chips was decent, and the fish size is massive so you probably won't need that extra piece for additional cost.
Decent burger and beer place. Both the food and the beer are good quality. I wish the beer list was a bit longer.
The cheese pierogis are good. The chicken sandwich is good. I like the skinny french fries.
The food was fantastic, I liked the intrudtrual atmosphere. We had a party of 4 and tried lots of apps and that was fantastic! We did have to wait a bit. Our waitress wasn't the issue, I believe it was a staffing issue. But none the less I enjoyed the place!
Went in yesterday to watch the NFL play-off game. Our server couldn't even look us in the eye and got weird vibes. Maybe because they were busy. But honestly, I'm giving them 5 stars because of Lauren, the one with a raspy voice. Her customer service was immaculate. She stopped to educate us on the restaurant and took a few minutes out of her day for small talk. Which I really appreciated. Her smiling is very contagious and made all of us extremely comfortable. So thank you Lauren for the poor lack of your other coworker.
We were in Seattle for a short trip and had brunch here. Amazing beef and bacon hash! The service was stellar and they were really excited to tell us about things to do in the area. Everyone was super friendly! We will be going back for sure.
Ive been to local 2-3 times but this was the first time when I went with a group of 7 members (fixed gratuity?) . We were made to wait for 35 mins for a table that was right in front of us and remained empty all along .
There were 2 smaller parties that came before us and got served, and one who got seated before we even got seated (and the table on which we were supposed to go remained empty all along)
The waitress although sweet seemed was not all that available, again wait for 20 mins before being able to place your order.
Food came in quite fast, so happy about that.
And then again, wait for 20 mins to be able to make the payment.
I'm not sure if the staff was over burdened or just not interested to serve us.
Not a good experience in terms of service
Breakfast was great, space is very nice, service excellent. Not so keen on people having their dogs on their laps and sitting on chairs at the tables. The barking was annoying. It would be better seating the dogs outside with their masters.
Tried the fried chicken and pirogies. The appetizer fried chicken is a large portion perfect for dinner. The sauce it comes with is spicy and flavorful. The pirogies are definitely worth a try. The food here is decadent and worth the indulgence. To top it off, the service couldn’t be better. Emma was attentive and kind. I took my food to go, but it looked like they had plenty of seating inside. I highly recommend this spot.
Local is one of the most dog friendly restaurants around, the staff are friendly and all love dogs. They have a good beer selection and while the menu doesn't change much, it is of a consistently high standard.
Super great food, lots of fun takes on bar food classics! The entire place was exceptionally loud, which I know isn't in their control, but they otherwise would have easily gotten 5⭐! 🎀
Not bad for bar food. I had the Korean BBQ bowl. It was delicious but not enough food for a meal. I was starving an hour later.
The local is always somewhere great to meet up with folks after work, or before a game at climate pledge arena. Free parking after 5pm and the food is top notch for pub fare. Who doesn't like a good pierogi?
Atmosphere, service, and food are amazing, for enjoying with friends.
We were meaning to hit a spot close by but it was slammed, and this place wasn’t. So it seemed the better option for two hungry folks! And it was great! A vast menu to select from, it’s got something for everyone.
Very much a like sports beer vibe. Not the most trendy place ever, but the food will feed you and the service was great! Def. worth a visit if you don’t want to wait for service elsewhere.
I got the cheese perogi as an appetizer and the crispy chicken sandwich with fries, it was amazing! Nice atmosphere and great customer service.
Tried a few cocktails - The Terry Ave Sour was good. The beers were just ok. The food is good and service is great.
If you like sports or just relaxed atmospheres and good food then Local is your spot. Pleasant to speak with, quick, attentive, and great looking, the entire staff is fantastic. Toss in great drinks and delicious food and you really can’t go wrong at this SLU gem. I highly recommend their fried chicken and waffles brunch on Sunday, their happy hour burger was spot on, and their poutine is great. (I ate the burger too quickly to take a picture, but it’s a double stack with great sauce).
First time here. Came in around 4:00pm. No wait to be seated. Bar atmosphere, football games on TV, music playing, some people working on laptops while at tables. Server came over promptly to take our order. Food came out same time as drinks (sodas), so about 10 minutes for fountain drinks. Only 4-5 servers/bartenders in the restaurant so servers have to wait on bar for soda. Burger was average - didn’t ask me for temperature, came out medium-well. Fries were good. Fish and chips were great.
Food 7/10
Atmosphere 8/10
Service 7/10
Price … 7/10
Good quick bite but I wouldn’t ever go out of my way to eat here.
I ordered poke bowl and it was so good. It is a pretty busy place during lunch time. I have only been there once, but will definitely go again when I am in the area.
Good was pretty good and drinks too, only issue was I only went there to watch the TNF as I was looking for a sports bar and they never tuned into the game
Nice place in SLU with interesting choices of food and drinks. Ideal for couples or large groups. The Happy hour is great and the Malaysian curry bowl was excellent. This place was also dog friendly.
Everything was really good! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive also.
It’s okay, not terrible but not the best.
A wide section of drinks and an expensive selection of mediocre food.
Very chill atmosphere with attentive service. They are pet friendly which I love!
The local fried chicken: hot honey with sliced pickles is a must try.
This was a great visit. As a pub house, it is unusual to have a bowl of ramen, but that was what I had and I'm very glad I did. Full of flavor and texture and really delicious. The service was hit or.miss with a long time taken to get to our order, but then consistent during the meal. It got really crowded during lunch time and was very popular!
A place with full of fun loving energetic people. Generally I go there twice a month.
Food... Drinks... Ambience... Everything is just perfect.
Sports bar like atmosphere, 20 beer and cider handles, some spirits, and wine. There menu is primarily burgers and sandwiches, three salads, and a host of appetizers. The tacos are particularly good as is the crispy chicken sandwich. The music is good, the beer is cold and the servers are friendly. Usually crowded at lunch, they do have outdoor seating.
I ate CALABRIAN CAESAR SALAD & drank COLADA CRUSH.
Decent service, nothing special there but wow the salad was amazing and I am not a salad person. Drink was stingy on the liquid itself in general.
The place has great atmosphere and good food, the waitresses are wonderful, very attentive. Frequently ask for adding water or refill, this is not easy in a restaurant which is super busy, I m impressed by the service.
Good and great!!. Old fashions in happy hour menu and a WIN!
Good food, nice beer selection, friendly patrons. Staff are stretched a little thin. Didn't get to interact with them much.
Awesome spot for tasty food and beverages. Have football but it’s not overwhelming if you’re not into it. Amazing staff!
The Local is definitely a nice, vibey, American restaurant. If you’re looking for nothing too crazy, but still a nice atmosphere I recommend!
Surprisingly delicious food in a chill modern restaurant in SLU. The curry was some of the best I’ve had in Seattle. Actually a bit spicy. Will definitely return.
Lots of options on food & drinks. Good service, it is kind of loud and if there is a game on it can get hard to converse. Lively atmosphere.
Close to the Amazon office building where my team works (I live in London rn). Good place to catch up over drinks and meals
Solid bar to catch the game or just enjoy a few drinks. Standard bar fare - wings, nachos, burgers. All solid. Drink prices are decent, and the patio is pretty great in the summer.
Service is sometimes a little slow, but I'd chalk that more up to how busy they can get than anything else. Great spot for a beer and a bite, and they always seem to be open, which is great from a convenience perspective.
Went late night when mostly everything was closed and Molly was very kind and friendly. She suggested good drinks and made our time very pleasant.. great place with kind people. I love it absolutely and I must come here next time I'm in Seattle..
Chicken sandwich never disappoints. I also like that they have been able to seat very large groups with very little notice. Amazon employees looking for last minute team lunch spot, this is the place.
A little pricey for what it is, but hey where isn’t in Seattle.
Edit: Chris is a really good bartender and made us fantastic drink specials
Nice food and ambience ! Definitely try the Roti and Curry
Pretty good prices and the food tastes pretty good as well. Only complaint is the bar staff, kinda prompt with what you want but not telling other staff if you have been helped. Once helped and food given to you, if you are not a "local" then you will be forgotten. 3 people have been served and better taken care of then myself. (Taking 25 mins to get my check) probably could have left and gotten away with it. But I waited patently. Probably best to get to know people for future reference. And no, wasn't that busy with 3 bartenders on a Saturday evening.
Definitely try the Spicey Ramen and Fried Chicken...it is amazing. Great beer selection!
So so yum! I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was UH-MAZING! other members of my party ordered fish and chips and the local burger and both dishes were yum!
The drink was good, but the poke was too salty…
We shared two dishes and both were amazing. The place is kid friendly, which is awesome. They do have a kid's menu but it isn't printed out, so just ask your server.
Want a wonderful find this morning. After a downtown overnight trip, we were looking for some good eats before hitting the road back home. Found another restaurant in the area, but it was super busy. Happened to walk by this place on our way back to the car. Decided to give it go. We were seated immediately, and were served by a super attentive and personable waitress. Had a Classic Eggs Benedict, and the egg was the best poach I’ve ever had. First class restaurant overall! We will absolutely be back! Thank you!
1st timer, great service and atmosphere. Only had a drink, can't comment on the food.
Food was fine, drink selection somewhat limited if you don't like beer, and fairly loud even when not crowded.
Awesome place....food was outstanding! Waiter was pretty slow, but other than that it was great.
We loved the food and atmosphere here. Definitely pet friendly. My only issue was in the reservation. As soon as we made the reservation, we had to push it back 20 min due to traffic on freeway. However no one ever answered the phone again after our initial call after trying several times. When we got to the restaurant, they had already given our table away to 5 adults. Because we had a child in our party, and they only had 2 tables outside of bar area for kids, we had to wait, so I asked them to push 2 small tables next to front door together for us after waiting for 45 min. Otherwise we would have never been seated. However the waitress, was so efficient and friendly. She might have been the only server at that time for the very crowded restaurant, but she never showed her frustration.
This is a cool place to enjoy a bite and drinks with friends. The atmosphere was lively with a nice selection of music playing
We have been going to the local for about 5-6 years now specifically for their fish tacos! We make a day trip to Seattle just for this dish when we can. Cannot recommend them enough!
The staff have always been kind and helpful. They usually have a good beer selection too!
This place kind of feels like a dressed up Red Robin's. The menu is expensive and the quality is alright. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Our server deftly handled two large groups next to us as well as our table.
Decent brunch spot. Service was great but the food came out a bit cold. Definitely on the expensive side for breakfast… No wait on Sunday morning was a plus!
Another amazing experience- Sam (as always) ensures we are taken care of as well as Kimani the bar manager who’s thoughtful and pays careful attention to the details. The whole experience is amazing for eating, socializing, watching sports- you name it! (Go mariners!) if you’re looking to watch a game in Seattle- this is your spot!!! Fabulous food and fun environment
Solid burger. Great vibes. 3 beer combo bucket. Great burger and loved the sweet potato fries! Staff was fine on this busy afternoon. Great area and lots of TVs!!!!

I went there for dinner with a group of colleagues and I thought the food was prepared very well. On top of that restaurant had a very diverse food and drinks menu, there is something to please everyone there. I had the crispy chicken sandwich which was a well done the chicken was not too crispy or which I liked and they had some fresh pickles on there which were very succulent. The pierogies there were tasty and they used very fresh ingredients. This is a great place to go to if you are a craving good quality pub food or just a nice relax setting to catch up with friends.
Food and service good. They acted like they didn't want children there. It is a bar but we were there at 12 noon on a Monday. We just wanted lunch. We were told no kids menu by hostess and made to sit at separate tables as we couldn't be accommodated at the high top originally reserved for is because we had kids.
LOCAL public eatery is located in the heart of Amazon campus in South lake Union. That makes it an excellent choice for happy hours and work parties. They have a nice selection of drinks, beer, and cocktails. The food there is decent. The service is great. I recommend it.
Fresh and new, offering lots of great drink options. The kitchen has mirrors for people to watch their food being made, a sign of a high quality and clean kitchen! Their happy hours a plus also!
Had their barrel apocalypse IPA and it was nice.
Although the beer was fine, adding an extra star for the food. We ordered Yam fries, fried calamari and Szechuan edamame. Also got the impossible local burger and fried chicken ramen. All dishes were good.
The quantity is good for the price.
Good spot to stop and have some beer and snacks.
Definitely a great place to check out. The music was a little loud for daytime lunch.
They have nice drinks, I like their cider which change every day, so that's good. The waitresses are super friendly. The food is yummy too. This is our go to place on Fridays. Couldn't find anything which can match it, so ended up going here every Friday
Great service, food, and atmosphere. Laid back vibe, eclectic menu, and good drinks too. They accommodated our large party very well and it was an overall positive experience. My only issue was they didn't get my order 100% right as I ordered my appetizer without onions and it still came out with green onions that I didn't notice until I took my first bite. The server apologized and sent it back for a new onion free order.
One of my fav neighborhood spots 😌 bartenders & servers are all super nice & welcoming. The food is yuuuuummmmy. The music is usually decent too. I can go in there n work on my laptop or vibe and ppl watch and there’s always someone to chat w if I want 👏
Fun, casual & industrial vibe. Love all the vegan and vegetarian options including the hippie toast with a smoothie shooter!
Nice selection of beers, good burgers.
Definitely delicious the breakfast sandwich was the BOMBB if we ever come back I will be stopping by again.
Friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the food and beer menu. Great beer selection, AMAZING food and great atmosphere and music. And the ice cream sandwich…oh wow, there aren’t words!! A must stop!
The food is plentiful!
If you like cheese, I tell you: the cheddar cheese they use is fantastic.
I was very well assisted by the staff, especially Maggy, very nice person.
Sydney and crew were fabulous but the fried chicken ramen stole the show.
Lack of vegetarian options, loud bar. Not my thing. Quinoa burger is good tho.
The service here and food is immaculate. Kailey was such an amazing server, she was attentive and helpful, and accommodated our large party. She even split up the tab for us at the end and did so gladly. Also, the chicken sandwich is a must!
Thanks Kailey and staff!
Music was awful, service was great, my food was delicious but the SO's was not. The fish and chips were terrible. The location and the drinks were also prime but dang was it expensive for so so food. I'd say this place is probably worth a shot, and I'd probably go back just would be more focused on the price and would NOT get the fish and chips
Food was good, service was slow. I presume it was because like most places staffing is struggling because of the pandemic. I don't fault that on the restaurant at all. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because I feel like I could have gotten more for what I paid and the quality was good but not memorable or mind blowing. No disrespect to the kitchen - I would still go back with friends.
Still one of the best places if not the best in SLU for the quality of food, the drink menu and rotating taps, and always excellent and friendly service. Been going since the week Local opened and I'm so glad they came out on the other side of lockdown. Cheers, Local!
Good eats, good bar, great vibe. Open to receiving even when the patio is closed.
Great spot. Great food too. Staff was friendly and food came out quick.
I had a sampling of the small plates here. The pierogis were by far my favorite. So satisfying. I also tried the fries and nachos, we're good, but nothing special. The service was very good.
Tasty food! Hand made Roti and curry starter, Malaysian curry bowl and kids Chicken tenders all were yummy. Very crowded at peak hours. Expect wait time.
Great restaurant! Lots of seating, comfortable place to eat. Awesome service from Libby and other staff. Excellent food. Highly recommend.
Noisy sport bar. When I arrived it was not that crowded. My entree took about 20 minutes from order to table.
Best roti 😻 …
I went to LOCAL during my lunch break and I was not disappointed. Tori greeted us with a smile and seated us promptly. She was AMAZING to say the least. Working in a restaurant myself, I was impressed by her knowledge of the menu and her skills as a server. She was so kind and left a remarkable impression on my whole party. Definitely a valuable asset to any establishment. Now for the food and drinks, we ordered the nachos to share and they were delicious! The perfect amount for two to three people. I also ordered the Pink Spritz and it was very refreshing. Perfect for a summer day! I will definitely be back for the staff, food, and ambiance.
I got the fish and chips with two pieces of fish. The pieces of fish were big compared to what’s in the pictures. I ordered to-go. Waited with no one in front of me before I was even acknowledged because the girl who was working at the post was busy having a conversation. There was no ketchup in my bag which was frustrating because I am visiting town and staying at a hotel so I had no ketchup and one small container of tartar sauce for two big pieces of fish. ( the picture shows that the meal comes with ketchup).
Great food. Everything was delicious. Nice atmosphere to watch a game or meet up with friends. Super slow service on Sunday. Usually much better.
Well balanced Bloody Mary and awesome breakfast enchiladas. Great service.
Edited to add we came back in November to celebrate our anniversary and Jordan was so sweet in her service, congratulating us on our anniversary. Great service from the whole team all around, and delicious food and drink. We ordered the meal deals multiple times while the restaurant was closed to dining during COVID and are so pleased to see it open again for in-person dining. We were promptly asked to display proof of our COVID vaccination when we arrived too which helped us feel safer while dining indoors. We love this place and their staff!
Has been our regular hangout from office .... Great beers good cocktails n some yummy finger food, even has good Vegetarian options that I love. Try Veg Nachos Curry Roti n Potato Wedges all nicely done
One of the best places in Seattle for a drink and great food.
Good food, quite pricy.
Great place to enjoy an outdoor lunch on a summer day. They have a nice collection of comfort foods like sandwiches and salads. Reasonably priced too.
One of my partner and I’s favorite places to go. Their southern chicken appetizer is sooo delicious as well as their ramen. I appreciate the extra mile the staff goes into making our meal so presentable and delicious. Has been excellent service every time. Shout out to our new friend there Kaymone. (I hope I spelled your name right). You were so warm and welcoming and your hospitality is on another level. And our waitress as well, I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name, but she’s a cute blonde with curls.
Stumbled on to this place last weekend. It was during a Seahawks game, so it was lively, but not obnoxious. Good looking place (fairly large) and the food was good. The beer selection is okay, but would be nice to see more local (real local!) beers on tap.
omg, the beef chiquito tacos are soo gooood!
Great food. Fast and friendly service.
This place is typically a coin-toss. I've visited thrice, ordered the same thing every time (local burger). 2 times out of three, its been great as were the drinks. Atmosphere was awesome too. The one time, food and drinks were underwhelming, as was the atmosphere.
Great food and atmosphere. Pro tip, they let you use the shuffleboard table while you're waiting for a table to kill time. Would definitely recommend the local burger.
I have been to this restaurant several times and had a great time. Fun and open atmosphere, COVID safe with open windows and lots of heaters, and lots of good dog watching :) Our server checked on us frequently throughout the night and gave good recommendations for food and drinks. The tacos al pastor were mediocre but cocktails and chicken wings were great. I had vegan tacos there once and they were incredible. I will be a returning customer for sure.
The food and service were both amazing! I had the fish tacos and will be coming back in the future. For any sports fans this is the perfect place to grab a bite and catch a few games. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Seattle!
The food was pretty good, I think it's a little overpriced but that's common for South Lake Union, the service was terribly slow for a weekend brunch
Very sad to see unhappy customers who don’t understand the difficulties associated with delivering great foods in steamy containers via third party. We dined in, and were blown away with the food quality from what appeared to be a “local bar”. Many present upscale menus that the kitchen staff can’t properly execute- however we were VERY pleasantly surprised to find out that is NOT the case here! Our food was superb, and the drink selection was excellent. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
Very very good, consistent.
Had the fried chicken appetizers, and steak frites. We had a large group of 15ppl, and everyone was pleased with the app menu. Again, chicken was awesome - only beaten by the steak frites. The peppercorn Dijon sauce delicious and the cook on the steak (sirloin, maybe?) was perfect. Looking forward to returning.
If you want to share that sauce recipe, let me know :)
I've been there a few of times and never been disappointed. I've only ever ordered the local fried chicken. It's so good I can't bring myself to order anything else. The burgers look tasty but, again, I can't personally vouch for them.
Served delicious dishes. Staff very cordial.Ample space with nice persons to attend to.
Good beer and place. Great service. Chicken wings need to up their game, they are small and almost feels like eating quail
Really casual, laid back place with many tables and space to sit on two floors. They feature a nice selection of tasty beers, and genuine American food. My chicken sandwich was great, and staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Hope to be back soon.
If there is one thing that could be improved it's the noise level: when it's crowded, it is so loud that having a conversation is difficult.
Nice eatery that appears to cater to the younger crowd as it was hopping. Our meals and drinks were good and reasonably priced. The staff were very nice and helpful. I would eat here again.
Their burgers and fries are very good. Ask for garlic aioli mayo. It is the bomb.
This is a great spot with a variety of fun foods and beers to try. Mealwise, you can try dumplings, fried chicken, tacos, or any other number of diffent things, but I definitely recommend the donuts for dessert. Also, the people who work here are really nice so the atmosphere is upbeat and fun. Whether you swing by for a beer by yourself or you pack out tables with a group, the people who work here will be attentive to you and take the time to make you feel like a regular!
Austin was personable. My waitress was at the door. I think I'm here right at close. No food yet
Unique tastes of traditional items! Burger & bun bursting with flavor, chips & salsa was wonderfully different than traditional, and the fries with cheese curds and gravy were spectacular! Amazing flavors all around and the pineapple wheat beer on draft was excellent. Wait staff was very friendly and offered up several unique ideas for tourist opportunities with a local perspective. This is a terrific place!
I worry what you heard was "Give me a brewpub with a big liquor offsales selection". What I SAID was "Give me a brewpub with ALL THE BEER YOU HAVE." Oh man. Also dog friendly. What's not to love.
Great place to grab a beer, and it is open late. Prices are good compared to a lot of other restaurants in the area. Servers are friendly, and happy to chat or answer questions. The bartenders Evan and Tony are always fun to talk to, and the rotating beer list had a good variety to it. Always something new to try.
Best place for food, drinks, service and atmosphere! My favourite place in South Lake Union, hands down!
Fun SLU hangout with a bar, tables or large communal style seating, with 2 floors. Has outdoor heated seating as well. Great vegan & vegetarian menu options too.
Chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. Service was good, nice environment. Guniess on tap was not quite there, but the chicken sandwich made up for it.
I had a Cesar salad with chicken and was really disappointed that the chicken was so spicy that I couldn't eat it.
Ordered 2 “Diablo Burgers” and while they were delicious, I feel it lacked spiciness. This didn’t so much as blip my spicy radar. The pickled jalapeños were more sweet than anything and the sauce you use, while it tastes great is not spicy.
The onion rings were AWESOME as far as crunchiness and taste. Seriously guys best I’ve had in a long time. Idk if it was a mistake they were so well done but we loved the crunch.
The donuts were excellent as well with the chocolate sauce.
Bottom line I’ll order them again in a pinch but at 50-something dollars for two people I expected more. I’m only here from Auburn on a getaway and would feel as sustained and satisfied with a $15 meal from jack in the box.
Very enjoyable meal. Staff was very friendly. Fish tacos was excellent. Great choice of beers. Outdoor patio was a great place to have a meal and drinks after a long day of traveling.
Celebrated my birthday with a group of friends. The food was delicious, drinks were great and staff was awesome.
Decent spot catering mostly to the Amazon working crowd. The space is a bit confusing when you walk in the door but pleasant and well decorated throughout. The food is fine but nothing you'd want to go back for. It is good for big groups and happy hour on week days. However they know their clientele base and servers are more attentive and friendly if they think you'll come back to spend more, so experiences may vary.
Sat inside where it is definitely wayy too loud. 0 sound proofing. Not a bad place but not for me. Food and service is good but doubt if I will go there again. Maybe only for a beer at the bar tender or outdoor seating if possible. Its basically like a Red Robin but louder
This is the 2nd time I have visited. Both visits, the food was amazing and the wait staff were awesome! We will definitely be retuning next time we are in town.
The range of craft beer was amazing! Must go if you are a beer lover. We were seated outside and the only issue was that there were too many bugs flying around. The food was not too bad. Overall a nice experience!
The food here is good. They have a rotating tap, and I usually enjoy their selection. The wait staff is very attentive and it's fun to watch them prepare the bar for their mixed drinks. They squeeze their own fruit. Their nachos are okay, and overpriced, but they make a mean fish and chips. I've also had their chicken strips and they're pretty good. Good place to eat.
I particularly enjoy the lunch time here. Nice variety of dishes and the quality has always been very good. Friendly vibes from the staff and the joint is clean and well maintained. Beer selection is not bad but I'd like to see more quality microbrew like Chuckunut, Hales, Structures and throw in some Belgians in there for good measure. :)
Good food and a great atmosphere for dinner and drinks
A few weeks ago I went out to this bar for a boys night out and the bar had a great atmosphere and was a very fun night with good variety of bat games. One server in particular though had some amazing customer service and made it an enjoyable visit. Her name was Des, she had an abundance of positive energy and made it a fun overall experience. I came back a week later while I was with my kids visiting the space needle and I decided to drop by here again and was served by the same server, once again I had an amazing customer service experience with her as my server, she even brought out some colored pencils and drawing paper for my kids for entertainment. I would recommended this place not only for the great atmosphere but also for the great customer service from Des. I will definitely be continuing to come back and hopefully will have Des as a server continously.
My co-worker and I came here while we were in town for a conference. The food was amazing. Everything was very flavorful and seasoned very well. The atmosphere is laid back, the music choice is spot-on, and overall the place just has a chill vibe. Drinks were great as well. Our server John was very friendly and he had some great suggestions/friendly chat with us about Seattle. Overall great experience.
This is my favorite bar. Great food and amazing customer service. Chris, Jasmine and everyone else work there are the main reason I would go there often.
The chicken was exceptional. Great service and ambience.
Great food, quantity and ambience at great price.
Loved my time here on both my visits.
The people who make this place go, make this place. Professional and personable. The food is good as well. The beer selection is solid and well balanced across brewing style spectrum. Excellent for watching sports or meeting with a large group. Give it a try, you'll like it.
The LOCAL sources their ingredients from Washington farms and breweries. They offer high quality bar food and their big open space provides plenty of room for groups big or small. No reservation is required during the week.
Fresh-baked hamburger buns! The aroma of bread fills the air, and it's wonderful. The crispy chicken sandwich and the hamburger with pork belly looked amazing (and my dining companions reported they were as good as they looked). I got the grilled chicken tacos lunch (2 tacos + french fries). It didn't look nearly as impressive as the sandwiches when all the food came out, but the tacos were delicious. The chicken has a nice, slightly blackened flavor. If I were to order it again, I think I'd get a different side dish than french fries, because that flavor really didn't complement the tacos. You can also get a simple salad here if you want to eat light while your friends to crazy with calories.
I like that they have shuffleboard right in the middle of the dining area. This would be a great place to hang out for an extended dinner and beer sampling.
Great bar with good food and beer at a reasonable price.
I feel it can be hard in South Lake Union to find good food and drinks at a reasonable price but local does it. Their burgers are all good. I love both their local burger and deluxe while my girlfriend enjoys their veggie burger. Their selection of beers is always solid with both drafts and bottles/cans available.
Combine all this with good service and I will continue to go back there for a long time.
Local is AMAZING! I’m here several times each week for lunch or happy hour. Eric is an amazing bartender! He’s funny, sweet, and as a fellow ginger (yep I’m biased), he’s pretty cool. Des (one of the waitresses) is one of my favorite people ever! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is like Seattle’s version of Cheers.
I myself struggle when it comes to menus especially when there’s so many choices... along with an extensive tap list. It was a bit overwhelming. My server set me up with a very positive experience, asked me what kinds of beer I prefer and brought me a few tastes and her favorite; which I found thoughtful. She recommended the baked pasta skillet with fried chicken on top. Not only was this an incredible combination and “secret menu item” she blew me away with her high quality energy and enthusiasm of service when explaining my meal. Thank you for dealing with me, all my questions and thank you for helping me Des I’ll be back with friends!
Great place to visit, with a friendly, consistent staff!! Evan, Jordan, and Rhiannon are some of the staff I have had the most experience with. I enjoy catching up with the staff, and appreciate the variety of sports they show on the TVs.
I don’t know about other reviewer’s experiences, but any issue with a drink, or food item was promptly resolved. I have hardly had any issues with my orders.
If you are in town for a visit, or a neighborhood resident, this is a consistent spot I love to visit.
Order the edamame for your starter! Then check out the Local deluxe burger, or their Poké bowl for your meal.
Hope this helps!
Thank you to Local for offering me a job back in the day as a line cook. Nick, the chef is very nice as is the rest of the staff (I ended up working in the Cactus across the street haha) Local has great food and great vibes I wish I still lived in SLU so I could go back more often
Fun atmosphere. Attentive servers/bartenders. Unique, healthy foods. Varieties of drinks. Big screen playing sports. All ages of adults. Didn't notice if kids were there but I think they would be allowed.
Absolutely loved everything at this restaurant today. We had a larger party, the hostess and our waitress were just lovely. Great food and great service.
Great service. The arugula and beet salad is disappointing. Be ready to consume a pile of peppery arugula, but that is it… a few beets and slices of transparent celery decorate in scatterings. There is no goat cheese, but a ranch like sauce of saltiness something….
Overall a pretty awesome experience. Food was a touch acidic but hit on many flavor notes. Has a bit of everything for anyone and everyone. What was most welcoming was the service. Wendy I believe was our server, she spoke about the menu and drink selection with knowledge. Even shared a bit of her own personal preferences of food and enjoyment of the area she worked and lived. Highly recommend since they have a well lit and partially heated patio. Even more so tables are separated by plexiglass. Had the fried chicken appetizer which is deliciously spicy accompanied with a few slices of tangy pickles. Shrimp dumplings sitting in a delicious soy ginger sauce. Cheese perrogies with a dollop of sour cream. Topped with slightly crispy bacon and scallions. The perrogies could stand a bit more texture or a harder sear but were still delectable. The Malaysian curry bowl had tender breast meat and perfect rice in a tangy curry sauce. Maybe a little too much acid but still palpable. The truffle burger with super crispy and not burnt sweet potatoes fries. If you love beers they have many options on tap. As an ipa lover they have various flavors and brands especially equipped for the PNW and it's legal Marijuana environment. A great place to dine with amazing energy and flair.
Great neighborhood bar. It's huge! Good drink selections including craft beers and taps that rotate. They also have plenty of seating and I highly recommend for medium to large groups. Great place to watch games. We didn't eat there, but they have burgers and sandwiches. The atmosphere is fun and lively. The downside is that service can be slow as we waited a few times for our server.
I really like this place. It's become my quintessential "Cheers". The bartenders are great, and the servers are super friendly. While I typically come here for lunch, because I work a few blocks away - I've also brought my kids here and they loved it. The ginger bartender prefers the name "EriK the red". I'd recommend trying the Reuben.
Food was OK, host was good, waitress can improve.
Took her so long to ask about food our host noticed and did it himself. Then she ignored the empty water bottle even though it was under her nose. I asked for water and she brought the bottle but instead of pouring she vanished so quickly we couldn't even say thanks or ask for the bill. The bill took a long time because she couldn't operate the card machine and would not just go get help or replace the machine.
Might have been her first day but I rarely get good service there.
Local has changed their menu. I was really excited to see some variety, and having previously ordered their burgers and found them nothing special, I was pretty happy with my choice. That said, it feels like they are stretching outside of their familiar space without taking the time/expertise to become good in that area. For example, I found my dish to be a bit disjointed (random side of cucumbers?) and I found myself asking, do I want raw tuna from a place where people are getting drunk? Maybe yes, maybe no.
I got the deluxe burger.
I ate the same burger twice and in both days it was great !
I think a big Thank You is overdue. I've never been here before the quarantine started, but I've been lucky to discover this awesome place through ordering deliveries every once in a while during the lockdown. Honestly, I have not been disappointed with anything I've ordered so far, would that be the best I've had chicken wings, awesome, cooked exactly as ordered, burgers, crispy calamari or cheese perogies with bacon and caramelized onions - it's all delicious. Food also looks great, which is not very common for deliveries from other places. Thank you for being there. And thanks for cheerful notes on the bags, they do make me smile every time :)
Newer bar. Great open, modern style set-up and decor. Good happy hour deals. Good selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Bar tenders are super friendly and attentive even if the place is busy. Only drawback is there are frequently a lot of tech-bros here because of its proximity to Amazon HQ
Very tasty and diverse lunch & dinner menu
Decent space, Layla and Sara Ann, were nice to me. Would be cool if they had santization wipes or gel at tables. Or paper towels to grab the knob in the bathrooms. Food portions reasonable, ordered the blackened tuna sandwich and yam fries. Not super greasy, maybe could be a little less so. Lemonade pretty okay a little watery. Desserts limited. Overall, cool spot to hang out, watch events, and possibly decent beer with the on-site brewery. Otherwise, would recommend.
So-so fare but way too salty.
I had the shrimp dumplings and the eggs Benedict. The dumplings were nothing special and definitely not worth the price. More importantly they were drizzled in a peanut tamarind sauce that was okay but extremely salty. I had to scrape it off to make the dumplings edible.
The eggs Benedict were average. The “crispy potatoes” they came with should be renamed “deep fried” potatoes. I felt they were overly fried, leaving just a husk and no potato, and again way too salty.
A bit of a wait for the food, but when it came everything was delicious
High praise to their well trained team - enjoyed Euro final brunch w friends. Lots to like about the menu. Even more to love about the crew . Thanks for a great time.
Divey vibe but burgers were ok.
Great service. The food was ssooo good. Definitely recommend going here for HH
I purchased the pressed burger, and it was very tasty. Fries were fresh and crisp. Service was safe and prompt. I would recommend Local Public Eatery to my friends and family.
I had a very average burger here at lunchtime. Good, friendly service though, maybe it was a bad choice or I was just unlucky.
Great sports bar with good food and drinks. I come here often with friends to watch games or meet up. Has a casual sports bar type feel but still high end, clean and great food. I recommend trying their burger.
The menu is pretentious and the food is a poor value ($17 for a crappy poke bowl), but the service is attentive without being obtrusive, and the $4.50 mystery wine exceeded expectations. Noise level is high, so get patio seating if you can (it closes at 9).
GREAT fried chicken sandwich. No seriously. It was great! Also, this place is dog friendly - which is fantastic for lunchtime Amazonians when we have our dogs with us at the office! Will definitely come back again.
Great lunch place, popular and good food. Everyone enjoyed their lunch which was relatively affordable.
Great beer on tap. The Summer Bliss wheat beer was great
Everyone knows the best way to enjoy a meal is to dine in at a restaurant!
Local's beer selection has such a high turn over that you'll always be able to enjoy something new! Then pair their local beer with their dazzling beef chiquito tacos. It's a must!
Local's staff cater to your needs with impeccable timing and professionalism. I always leave feeling like they did such an amazing job!
You can bet you're going to love this place as much as I do.
Thank you Local staff for keeping me full and happy!
Went here on a Friday evening. The place was bustling with crowd. A great ambience and wonderful staff. Service was a bit slow due to the rush crowd but the staff made sure you were attended well.
The food and beer was good as well.
The Chicken Quesadilla is recommended.
Okayish bar the music was good we went there in the night when they were not serving food.
Great place, great food and drinks. Great service and professional staff too. Went for a team lunch and highly recommend if you are planning for one. It's popular in the area.
Place is crowded but clean.
Tip: book in advance as it's not easy getting seat during busy hours.
Unique bar with huge screens make Local a good, hip option for catching a game or hanging out. The cocktails are great, but the beer and wine selection could be better. The food is also kind of hit and miss. I've had entrees here that I've really enjoyed and others that were rather disappointing.
Expensive and the vegetarian dish I got was pretty bad. They serve it with grilled avocado, such sounded good to me but was actually disgusting. If you're looking for a meatless option, I'd go somewhere else. They do have a neat selection of beers and other drinks though. There is also a patio if you want to sit outside.
As an out of towner it seemed cool. Loved the hydraulic window on the front that was open. I'm 41 and was there by myself, seemed like I was to old to be there by myself. Crowd was 21 to 35 maybe. Beer was good, I chose one first, after that I had the bartender get me whatever. The beer I chose sucked, the first two the bartender chose weren't great, the third was amazing. I didn't try the food. Staff was great!
They have AMAZING quesadillas! This restaurant has really good hours as well. I had the same waitress serve me twice, and she was so kind, quick and helpful! I'll definitely be visiting again when I'm back in Seattle.
Very loud, no offer to be sat in the quiet side.
This is a great spot. The food is better than most options around here. They have a number of beers that always rotate but not as many taps as one would like. The perogies were fantastic and a great choice for an appetizer. Service was good but not great.
It was the perfect restaurant to go and have lunch , brunch or dinner . The food was good not overpriced and well cooked .. highly recommend also a great chill spot you could choose whether you wanted to eat outside or inside it was really nice
Great spot for a lunch meeting and a beer. Food is above average and Local has a solid rotating beer selection. Be sure to get there before 1130 during the week -- Amazon employees flood in at lunch and if you're late, you'll be waiting for a table.
Didn't expect I would go to this place for brunch in my 4 years of stay in Seattle. But I must say, it's totally worth it. And the staff, they re the best at it.
Eaten there twice and had good service, good food, and hospital servers
The food is awesome as is the beer selection, but the pours are always quite short. They make a point to tell the customers they're a Canadian company, but a real Canadian company would offer a proper Canadian pint (~19 US oz) not their short 10-12 oz pours. They are one of the few places in the city to offer poutine and they haven't totally screwed it up.
Good ambiance. Beer. Food. Lively crowd.
Best salt and pepper wings in the city! Good place for small/medium sized group gathering (<10), but get there early or they'll fill up. Especially during a big game. Service is generally pretty solid - fast, friendly, and on top of it.
Used to be very busy during lunch time but now you can get table easier. All the items from the food menu are good and delicious. a good selection of drinks to choose from.
Super friendly staff - awesome menu. Highly recommend the crispy chicken sandwich....
Kimani and Makayla are amazing here! Ask for them to be your servers (and you might get free shots!!)! Coming back for Kimani’s killer afro and their amazing melon shots, and they were fuegggggg. Also smoothest Guinness I’ve had in Seattle. GO HERE.
The staff is so helpful and kind and the food is always amazing. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the South Lake Union area! Great for happy hour, brunch, watching a game or just meeting up with family or friends!
Neat place to go. Staff were very patient and cheerful. The food was good with an average wait time. They were pretty quick with drinks.
The food is usually 5 stars but has declined to decent enough. I'm quite disappointed in the lack of packaging here. The food used to be packed in containers that didn't make the food soggy but they are now packed in cardboard and foil monstrosities that make the food soggy and unpleasant. Will you please consider fixing this?
The place has a great ambiance, but when we sat down we waited for awhile to even get a glass of water, and our appetizer came with the main course. All and all quickness is not their Forte.
Good food with a large tap list
EXCELLENT SERVICE & FOOD. The Moxy around the corner recommended this place as it was within walking distance for me. I wanted to try the Ruben because it had some interesting features... Mustard & crunchy slaw. It was the best Ruben I've ever had and I love me a Ruben. The service was fabulous. I sat at the bar and met some locals that offered a ton of fun places for me to check out during my stay. Check it out!!!
Good food. Drinks quantity very less
I was dining alone on a work trip and sat at the bar. The beer was good and I loved how the keg room is elevated above the bar and has windows and cool plumbing down to the taps. The fried chicken ramen was fantastic and makes me want to come back on my next trip. However, -1 star because the service was not great: I went thirsty through my meal and wasn't checked on until I was nearly done and had to wait 10+ mins and eventually call out to get my bill and pay at the end, even though it was not very busy and I observed other people getting service and bar chores getting done. I got a vibe that only locals are welcome at the Local, or something. Next time I will try sitting in the dining area and see if the hospitality is better. Also the music playlist was great for a chill dinner: I caught some Gramatik, Ratatat... This would be a great spot with different bartending.
We went here twice while on vacation last Summer. We sat at the bar both time, had excellent service, and good food. I always say that I can cook great food at home, so when I go out to eat it's the service and atmosphere that are REALLY important to me outside of the meal. Local delivered on all!
Great food, Service and atmosphere. Got the shrimp dumplings and chicken cesar salad. Vaccination card required to get in at this time.
We've had a few meals here (burgers, nachos, sweet potato fries) and everything is solid. Service is decent. Drink variety is great. Lots of TVs for game time!
We searched Seattle for a place to eat brunch and we finally came across Local Public Eatery and luckily they do have a brunch menu on the weekends. We had the Hippie Toast and Eggs, it was so good. Poached eggs, on toast with avocado and a great sauce, country potatoes and a smoothie shot. The brunch should be advertised more because it was delicious and upscale. We were impressed! The music was bumping 2000s hits which was nostalgic. We will definitely come back.
Great food, great beer selection, and excellent service. They take a card reader to you for payment so your card never leaves your sight, which I think is a fantastic idea. And, perhaps unexpectedly, the best chips and guacamole I think I’ve had just about anywhere.
My burger was decent, the miso mayo was a good touch, but couldn't overcome the dry burger. The service was ok, not great, they were friendly but not very attentive. My wife did like her salad with ahi, but I don't feel the need to go back any time soon.
Great food, they put their own unique twist on standard dishes. And exceptional staff.
Great after work gathering place. The nachos and fish tacos are great. I hear there's beer here as well. Staff has gotten orders wrong before on a couple of occasions. That's the only reason for a four star
Love this place. Great service. Friendly staff. Tasty food.
Plus one of the managers, Austin, is a kind man. He helped us feed the homeless, so this particular restaurant has a place in our heart.
3 stars because our servers were so friendly and cute. I wasnt incredibly impressed with the menu options. I ended up just ordering sweet potato fries but I do have to say their aioli dip was delish! Good vibes all around to just hang out and grab a drink.
The food here is amazing. I've tried the fried chicken and bbq rice bowl. The vibe is relaxed and casual.
Nice location. Good drink selection and pub food.
It's reasonable enough but often crowded and too noisy for any sort of chat over lunch. The food is okay but carb heavy, nothing special to call out from what our group ordered. Service was a bit slow but without any issues.
For starters we had a great server Erica! As we arrived before a big game and she got slammed with tables you would never would have guessed. Aside from that she knew she was beyond busy and made sure she accommodated all tables. Food was food drinks were good. Bloody Mary would be a star better if it had a chunk of cheese... But I'm also from Wisconsin. Prices are a fair but better then most of the area. Overall we had a great 1st experience and plan to be back!
Great little place. Seating was easy, waitress was awesome. We ordered the Perogies, Loaded potatoes, yhe breakfast sandwich and the enchiladas!!
Amazing staff! Attentive, receptive, and very accommodating! Food is good - their wings & fish tacos are my faves! This is my go-to spot whenever I'm in Seattle!
Staff was awesome, lots of seats but gets really loud if full. The food is so so which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. You won't be mad that you're here but it won't knock your socks off either. A good place to start your night with HH.
The food was good, but the waitress called us "guys" every.single.time she came to the table. Guys identify as male. I don't identify as male, neither does my daughter.
Food was pretty standard bar food, but done well. I've been here a couple times during lunch rush and the service feels a bit slow, but not unreasonably. The beer selection is pretty good.
Get the Beermosas! Service is either great or meh
Good menu and atmosphere! Fried Chicken Ramen, Creative make- it-yourself dinner kits.
Service can be kinda slow, but friendly.
The ambiance is amazing, more suited for a younger crowd. Come for a Seahawks game it's so fun and amazing! The servers , cooks, and bartenders are nothing but friendly and welcoming. Nice place to bring a pretty young thang lol.
The Chicken Sandwich was good and it was a pretty chill atmosphere, my server Des made it even better she was very professional and sweet. I'd recommend this place to a friend of sure and will be back again.
The atmosphere here is great. The wait staff was polite, quick, and full of wit, making out visit hete excellent. The food was also fantastic. I had the ceaser salad, and was in no way dissapointed. They use a jalapeno ceaser, which is amazing. The chicken on the salas was perfect. Would recommend.
Also, they have a couple fun games.
Very good food and very good atmosphere and service! 10/10 will 100% eat here again!
Good place for Malaysian cuisine. Loved the Malaysian bowl here. Staff is very polite and nice.
This place was just ok. Definitely more of a place to sit down and have a drink. Their drink menu is way bigger than their food menu. Service was alright tho.
Hosted a company lunch here and they were very accommodating. They don't take reservations, but we didn't have any trouble finding space for 15+ people. Their tacos are really good!
This is a convenient place for happy hours. it's right next to my office building. We usually go there in Friday afternoons. Like the beers here and the servers are nice. The only thing that I don't feel comfortable is that you have to seat yourself.
The best crew amazing drinks and food... they take care ot their customers... great food and drinks, definitely a neccessary stop if you're visiting or living in Seattle
Super place! Great food.
For a South Lake Union location, the prices here are great! I went not during happy hour and had a great mojito at a "happy hour" price. With shuffle board and a foosball table, this place is great for groups. The menu is well put together and satisfied my foodie friend.
Solid bar food, my burger was good but nothing special. Seems like a solid selection of drinks and beers. Would be a good spot for a happy hour.
The atmosphere is really chill and the staff are fun and friendly! Drink prices are pretty good, and the food portions are a good size for the price, which isn't horribly expensive. If I lived closer I would definitely be a regular
#1 tuna pokie mmmmm the best ever staff was top notch also. Very clean . I say try it out you will not be sad....
BOMB!!!!
Bull Lucero USMC
Great location and space for an otherwise quiet SLU neighborhood. The waitresses are always nice and the vibe is lively. Food is meh, beer selection is meh (mostly Inbev with some local beers mixed in). Don't come here expecting a real meal, it's definitely not a restaurant as much as it is fancy bar food.
Fantastic sports bar and American food spot. Their blackened chicken sandwich and fries is amazing. Friendly service too.
Food was nice. Atmosphere is good, as advertised. Service is typical American.
Quite pricey for simple food (read: overpriced).
They used to have a cool living room setup near the entrance, they removed that in order to cram in more bar stools. That along with an average beer list and slow to move, yet attractive, bar staff makes this place "so-so".
Good food, good drinks, and a patio, great place to hang out!
Staff is exceedingly friendly and the food is off the charts good. I personally recommend the chips and guacamole (they smash the guac at the table) and their churros. Those are made fresh in house as well. My wife is from California and is constantly complaining she can't find good churros. Well, that's no longer an issue.
Delicious but overpriced. Paid $24 for half a plate of arugula and half a piece of chicken. Everything was perfect but the portion was way too small.
Fun place! Great service, delicious food, huge mugs of local beer. Lots of outdoor seating, perfect lunch spot
Good food, nice staff
Good, convenient location in the heart of SLU with lots of street and garage parking nearby. The atmosphere and music are fun and are immediately inviting. There are games to play at your table, shuffleboard, and (I think) foosball. There is lots of comfortable seating in the bar and the bar top itself is very large and cool. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports or ESPN/ESPN2. They are open late every day and have lots of rotating beers on tap and a full bar. All of the staff and bartenders are super friendly and helpful. My menu favorites are the poutine (thank you Canada for bringing this to Seattle), the chicken tortilla soup, and the Brooklyn burger. Move over, Brave Horse, this is my new favorite spot in SLU!
Good and cheap beer available. Great portion of tortilla chips.
Great food. Can have better coffee.
The staff is very friendly and jovial
The food and the service in this place was equally amazing. So wait staff is attentive,, kind and all of them amazing.
Very good Americana lunch and dinner menu that can be paired with a wide variety of beer. The atmosphere is a excellent combination of modern, rustic and comfortable.
Amazing sports bar in SLU. It has a huge selection of craft beers and delicious burgers and sandwiches. If you want to enjoy a Seahawks game this is a good place to go. Fun and always packed with happy people.
Been here twice and both times had great service and great food. It gets a little busy with Amazonians, but that's part of the culture here. I appreciated their healthy lunch options too.
Bar fare in a more urban, upscale setting. Service was reasonable but a bit slow. I think the wait staff is tired of the SLU rudeness, and I feel for them. Food was reasonable and the ambiance lively.
This place has a nice modern vibe, the food is good and drinks are good. It's a little pricey but overall a good experience I'd recommend it
Happy hour was great. Solid beer selection, happy snacks were delicious. The server was a little touchy but overall just fine.
Good standard American food. Service wise they brought some food 15 mins late but they took it out from the check, so that is something we appreciate.
Great food, would recommend. Had the enchiladas with mole braised beef and would definitely order again.
Love their outdoor dining vibe & have only gotten kind servers. The drinks are good & so are the fries..and so are the drinks.
Food was okay, but no to go cups for drinks. Also, no root beer availability at a sports bar seems like a bad menu decision to me. Waitress was very nice.
Great service and great food! The outdoor seating was perfect for those looking to add some normalcy to things while COVID is still a concern! Will be back soon!!!
This has a cool public house vibe. Awesome selection of beers. And I'm pretty into the poutine. Right smack in the middle of Amazon territory so you'll see all my dorky brethren en masse. I don't know who is doing the hiring but the wait staff is stunning. And if you know Seattle you know why this stands out. Gorgeous women with actual makeup!
I tried blacked burger with salad it was really awesome the ambiance was really good . I liked the sitting arrangements and music.
If you have a group of 4 or more this is a great spot. It you want to drink beer and watch sports, again good spot. Service is okay. Calamari is horrible. I will come back with a big group to drink beer.
Good food and service. Love the open air feel in the summer!
Found this place by accident and glad we did. Nice vibe..although a bit younger than us (we are in our late 40's and early 50's) Friendly staff and food came quick for a Friday night. Will definitely be back.
Can’t go wrong! Great drinks. Great happy hour. Great people.
Was treated VERY well by whomever is opening the restaurant. Very accommodating, and made us great drinks. We’ll be back!
Great place together up with friends for a quick drink and appetizers
Great place for an after work drink. Food was fine, general bar food. Nothing to write home about. But great location, friendly team and great beer selection.
Great lunch spot. The fish tacos are 🔥. Can’t recommend it enough!!
Service was excellent . Food was good.
Great beer and allowed tastings prior to picking our tipple of choice
Fun place with a variety if food, cocktails, and beer. Try the fried chicken ramen. Simply amazing down to the last bit of broth.
Lots of different choices., if you want to explore multi cuisines at one place…you should definitely check out this place.
Absolutely loved food and drinks! Pretty cool spot to hangout with friends.
Service was fast and great as well!
I've been here several times for brunch and once for drinks/dinner. The service has always been good, the food is delicious, and it is a place that is great to just sit back and enjoy.
Great food, drink and atmosphere. The people are super friendly and hospitable!
Good atmosphere, with seat-yourself services during lunch hours. Menu offers good variety, and portions are generous enough to justify the prices.
Pretty good food. Very good waitress. Very busy. Open air seating in spots.
A slight problem with the food preparation, but the management did an outstanding job of making everything alright. Will vote with my feet and come back again! Great tasting food!
Standard bar food. The sweet potato fries are good with the sauce they serve them with but the burger I got medium rare was dry and falling apart.
Good ambience, menu items for food is limited. Good selection for drinks. Little expensive.
In the tune of a Foreigner song 🎤🎼 I’ve been waitin for a burger like you to come into my life 🎼🎤🧡🍔🧡. Seriously, I’ve been looking high and low for a really tasty, messy, simple, DELICIOUS burger for years and y’all just hit the mark in such a big way!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 …
I've been going to the Local at SLU since it opened and I just made it my first restaurant out since quarantine and was not disappointed. Good service, good people and good food - what's not to love?
Great time, fun wait staff.
Tasty food and good beer selection. Took a star off because the kitchen is incredibly slow. Definitely not a place to go on a time crunch.
Burgers and beer. They do have other things besides burgers. I have liked everything I have tried so far. Service is also good. Being near Amazon, it is busy during lunch.
Perfect for a quick drink, happy hour, or a group lunch/dinner. They have a nice relaxed atmosphere and a decent amount of beer options.
Amazing family meal to go dinner and super nice staff when we picked it up. The fish tacos were especially great.
Great food and drinks! Their outdoor seating is a great place to hang out in the evenings!
Solid food and drinks. Seating can be rough, as it's all open. Highly recommend the pork poutine, edamame and burgers! Just be aware the small plates are, in fact, small.
Good food and drinks. Low prices during happy hour.
I always love the food here. They make some good cocktails. The servers are always really friendly.
Food was tasty and their rotating taps were varied. One fewer stars for the service wait on a relatively low key night.
The prices are a bit steep but the overall atmosphere is great. The food and drinks are pretty good!
Avo Benedict. Eggcellent.
Really good food and fast service. I definitely recommend this plate for lunch.
Great ambiance and a good place to catch up with friends. A lot of tables in the outdoor seating area and pretty spaced inside as well
The food here is pretty mediocre. And frankly it's incredibly loud; it was almost impossible to hear people who were directly across the table from you during the lunch rush.
Delicious food, wait isn't bad at all
Delicious dumplings for happy hours! They were cooked to perfection, the atmosphere was super fun.
Food taste was good especially yam fries..Nachos were also good and soya were also good in taste. These 3 are perfect sides for drinks
Food was excellent... Service quick and polite... Patriots lost to freaking Miami again..Company was hilarious and let the good times roll ! Go Dallas & Niners !
The food was great! A fun place for dinner!
So welcoming to our dog. We had a great time and the food and beer were just right.
Good food a little pricey but the service was good will definitely go again and recommend this establishment to everyone in downtown Seattle
Nice place, good happy hour food, and great service. What's not to like?
Cool spot for food and drink. Big screens to watch any games. The menu is super creative and there's games ppl can play while theyre there. Good spot in South Lake Union
Great area to gather with friends for food, drinks, and sports. Friendly staff and lots of seatings. Friday and Saturday nights are where the fun is at with music. Recommended for playing Uno.
Expensive for the little choice they offer in their menu.
Edit - I visited again after a year, and the choices have increased now and this time the tuna sandwich I had was awesome.
This is a great spot. Went for lunch, always packed. I tried the veggie burger (the patty was made from beans brown rice) and it was just great. Will visit again :)
Good food, good drinks and lots of screens to watch sports. Staff was also very attentive. What's not to love?
Awesome breakfast sandwich! I mean the best! Love it here and our dog can always join us
Great atmosphere, and a very wide range of beers. Food and service were also really good.
Always a great energy and environment. Closes at 12 and most crowd leaves by 10 unless a game is going on. Great beer selection and good service!
Great chicken and drinks.
Sitting in bar area has good service.
Great food, amazing service. Bartenders were awesome!! Will definitely be back when I'm in town!
Loved the ambience inside the restaurant/bar. A very usual menu, but food was very good. Poses as an attraction to the younger crowd
I probably go here once a week. Loved the atmosphere, and the drinks. I would suggest changing or rotating food menu.
A good beer selection and all 3 apps we had were delish: truffle yam fries, Chip's n salsa + poutine.
Everything at this place is great but d@mn that burger. 🤤🤤 So so good. …
Fish Tacos here are the best!
Desiree has the best and kindest service you can ask for!!
Although the service was good, the bar itself is very loud. It could be a good place to watch games, but don't expect to converse with anyone while you're there.
I really enjoyed this spot. Food and drinks were good. Bartenders were very nice and made great recommendations.
Great relaxed environment with some fun drinking games scattered throughout the restaurant. Their apps were all reasonably priced and tasty.
Very good for Friday happy hour. Service is average, food is great! Try the Brooklyn burger 🍔 …
Really nice place, attentive, friendly staff and good food. Had the fish tacos which were very tastey.
Good bar for when the sunshine is good. I feel neither here nor there about it. Mostly just enjoy their open windows during good weather
Pretty decent food and yummy drinks. Nice to sit outside on a sunny day
Great food; especially the veggie burger. Music is loud, lots of TV's to watch sports. Staff is friendly.
Too expensive but eh food is consistently good quality and well made. They always write on our bags, it's sweet.
