Reviews of Italian Family Pizza
Vincent Mills
Roommate and I went here for lunch. They have two main pizza sizes: a 12 inch one and a 23 inch one. We went for the 23 inch pizza.
The crust was slightly thinner than my personal taste but that doesn't change the fact that the pizza was well proportioned and tasty. We couldn't finish it though so the staff brought us a pizza box so we could take the remaining home. Definitely recommend the 23 inch pizza for a whole family, and the free refills was a plus as well.
Sam Horine
Italian family was good - we got the white pie with clams, a classic margarita and red pie with veggies - all were solid tho not revelatory by any means. I’d 100% order from here again next time I had a pizza craving on a Monday 🍕
Jason C Meyer
Classic red brick atmosphere with delicious and ENORMOUS pizza. Great place to take a group. Very walkable from the financial district and First Hill.
K Martin
Really good pizza. Best New York style pizza in Seattle area, best you'll find besides Brooklyn Bros in Everett. In New York this pizza would get 3 stars, but it's the best you'll find here. Delicious, chewy thin crust, a little greasy (tons of grease on the bottom of the crust though... weird), tomato sauce was good. Pizza char was not done right. Pizza from here is best eaten right away, if you wait longer than 15-20 minutes throw it in the toaster oven for a few minutes at 500 degrees.
Order the large (24"), not the small (12"). It's worth it.
They serve cannoli's, it was on point and so delicious!
Didn't have to wait longer than they estimated but I also ordered my pizza at 3pm on a Monday when they're not busy.
Area is a little sketch. Hard to find free parking. Paid parking lot just behind the restaurant.
Danielle Shilling
Best pizza in Seattle, hands down! Tim was so professional, helpful and knowledgeable! Great food ,wonderful staff and such a cute place!! You won't be disappointed
Gerald Mills
The food is great, very fast preparation, great staff. Prices are competitive on similar cuisine. I’d definitely recommend giving it a go. You won’t be disappointed.
Dylan
Great NY style pizza for even better prices! Love the thing crust and perfectly cooked soft but crunchy pepperoni. The owners were very nice and really care about you and your experience.
Dan Hintz
This is an excellent Italian pizza place. I come to Seattle every few months, and I always make it a point to come here. They really know how to make pizza! Their new location (Madison & Boren) is quite the uphill walk from their previous location downtown, but definitely worth it!
Alex Tran (Schimiggy)
Fast and friendly service! They do half and half pies for no additional cost. The pizza was very fresh and crust is crunchy. I love their tomato pie which is simple and loaded with their house red sauce. Pizza was ready before my quoted time. I am happy!
Samantha Flesh
Absolutely delicious!! The pizzas are huge and the restaurant is so nice and feels very family oriented. Would recommend to everyone of all ages (maybe not for vegans)
Edgar Gaona
Calzone had a very good taste.
Hand crafted.
Troy MacEachern
Had the Pepperoni Pizza, Garlic knots, and the Cannoli. The staff were incredibly friendly and recommended things to us. It hit the pizza/pepperoni craving perfectly. I could probably have just ate an order of garlic knots by myself… but I was required to share with my husband - sacrifices for love.
Edd D Barber
This was the best cheese pie I've ever had! The salad was so fresh. Like, it came straight from the garden. Service was top notch!! Great family business. Thank you, from a Texas resident.
Drew J
The stromboli was pretty much a did, but the pizza was pretty good! As you can see, the pepperoni is kind of scattered randomly on top of the other topping (mushrooms), which is odd. This was supposed to be half pepperoni and mushrooms, half pepperoni... Not 3/4 and a quarter. Still all said it was pretty tasty!
gvfb60
Seriously people, only order the large pizza if you have 4 people to split it with or want copious amounts of leftovers. Great pizza, great knots, friendly service.
Indy Villagarcia
Fresh dough from old recipe creates a nice pizza pie and an impressive calzone. Ingredients are generous and the size of their selection is also abundant to share. Comfort pizza in downtown Seattle, try it.
Emma Choi
Great pizza and great service!! All staff members were very friendly and welcoming. I loved the pizza dough, finished all the crusts too. Highly recommended
George Ftikas Jr (InSanctum)
One of the best pizza places in Seattle. They only do full or personal pizzas: no individual slices. Their new location isn't as convenient as before, but it's larger and nicer.
I wouldn't recommend putting on too many toppings. The pizzas are large and overloading it makes the slices unwieldy. But with that said, I usually use a fork there. And as much as I like mushrooms, I always ask for less. They're very generous with toppings and the full "serving" of mushrooms makes the pizza too soggy.
India A
The pizza here is always amazing!
Daniel Schulte
I wasn't expecting too much of a simple pizza place, but I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were definitely good (My Stromboli spanned the entire length of my plate and then some!). Kind of like the building, the food didn't look like it was going to knock my socks off, but once I got into it I found it was warm and delicious. I'd recommend coming here.
Collin Miller
Garlic Knots were fantastic, pizza toppings were good, sauce was boring (I like a little kick to mine and this was a bit bland), staff was friendly. I did love that they had a 23" size pizza but a 12" was more than enough to feed my wife and I. Next time I crave garlic knots I will be back.
Anna Reinhold
I grew up on the east coast and this is legit Italian thin crust pizza! The people there are so warm and friendly they make you feel like part of the Italian Family! :D I will definitely be back again and again!
Jassett
Staff is so nice and helpful. Pizza was delicious! Good prices as well.
Kimberly DeHuff
I was not expecting this place to be so good. We came back to eat here again one day later. I don't even usually like pepperoni pizza, but here it was a delight.
James DeAngelo
The Best Pepperoni Pizza and salad shop in Seattle Washington Area.
It's has the greatest flavor of lil Italy as you can get....and the finest service around most Restaurant's in the Seattle area. I'm impressed! I must say! At a comfortable/affordable prices...
There a Great Italian restaurant establishment for the First Hill neighborhood I highly recommend them being the Area's finest Pizza Shop in Our Madison Avenue neighborhood.
I guarantee it! "Greatest pie taste "Additionally: just like Billy Joel wrote and sings UpTown Girl...New York's state of mind only the best....."a smooth bottle of red."
Italian restaurant.
Jeanette Christensen
Excellent pie with all of my favorite toppings. I'll return since it's a good one. The greatest treatment I've ever had from a pizza parlor. Being in such a lovely atmosphere was really relaxing for me. Your tasty and reasonably priced pizza was highly recommended! Excellent!
Kristi Blasdell
The service has gone way down since we last visited Seattle. Our drinks came flat and when it was mentioned, the server went to the store and bought soda. My husbands stromboli was not brought out until basically everyone in our party had finished eating. We even asked on it 3 times while eating, as we saw another table's large order come out before his stromboli. They had arrived about 15 minutes after we placed our order. The place it'self needs a good cleaning and some freshening up. On the dirty and disheveled side. Food is still decent though. Do not believe we will go back again.
Jason Black
Best ny style pizza in Washington hands down.
Mallory Murphy
Great pizza. Thin crust easy topping.. Ordered a single slice of cheese and found the sauce to be a tad salty. $7.99 for a good size slice only complaint was the saltiness..
Viviana Corella
Great service :) A while ago we had placed an order but eventually it was canceled because the oven was broken and they told us they would give us a free pizza for the troubles. Today they honored that by giving us a big discount, which I think speaks well of the place. Additionally, the pizza is great! We’ve ordered from here often and it’s always been good. My favorite one is the New Yorker. 🍕
laura horton
The most friendly people you will ever meet and the food was superb
Jay Poore
Kind of a backhanded compliment, but here we go, being from back east, good pizza in Seattle is hard to come by, but this is as close as it gets to the stuff I grew up eating. And beware the large is comically big.
M Isabel Badillo
We were here at 2 on a Sunday and they didn't have all the topping options ready. I wish I had been able to try the cannoli, maybe next time.
Roger Wright
Nice pizza place very good crust
Halle Neyens
The food was delicious, great service, homey Italian atmosphere. Best of all, our daughter has some food allergies, and after we were told that all of the desserts contain allergens, the chef prepared a special single serving that was allergen-free for her to eat. Very thoughtful!
Jason Bennett
We stumbled on this place. Foos was awesome. Lasagne was stellar. Will be back.
Leighan Cunningham
Woooooooow! This pizza is the best I've had in I can't even remember how long! It was amazing! The sauce was perfect, not sweet (which I can't stand) but also so flavorful! The service was outstanding! Such kind people! Can't wait to go again!
Celeste Tavolaro
OMG pizza! Delicious and Huge Size! Great to have dinner together with a group of friends! Love it😍! …
Erika Rademacher
Love the white pizza with clams bunt door dash delivered and didn’t have my $3.75 Diet Coke. Not sure whose issue that was.
F Price
Incredible taste, this is the best pizza outside NY, I have never been able to find a pizza so delicious since I moved out of NY and back to Washington. This place is truly the best damn pizza no question about it. I live in south king county and will not mind the drive to Seattle just to bring it home!
Andrew Sheng
The New Yorker was the best pizza that I've had in years and the service was wonderful. If you're on Capitol Hill, skip the hipster pizza places and come here instead.
Nick Patri
I've had the large pizza, which is truly an abundance of food. Worth the price tag. Rather heavy on the cheese, so you should be a fan of that if you're eating here.
Really friendly service. Seem like good people. I'll be back.
Robin M
When we crave pizza, the answer has been Italian Family for about the past year, but the last two visits have me questioning my choice. Where we once always found great quality and people who really cared about their customers, the past two visits have been between mediocre and just plain bad.
Service - still friendly, but they seemed to care more about socializing with each other and what time they could leave rather than checking on the customers - this was between 6 - 8pm each time, not like it was just before closing. Again, really friendly people, just not very interested in making sure the guests were taken care of.
Food - the salad went from tasty and fresh to water-logged and tasteless. Yes, I am very glad that the lettuce has been washed, but putting it in the bowl sopping wet and throwing on a few random pizza veg toppings just makes a soupy mess, not a good salad! It was NOT like this before.
Pizza was just really sloppy both times even though they were not at all busy. Take the extra minute to put the sauce evenly on the pizza so it doesn't get completely soaked in one area and bare in the other. Then break up those huge chunks of onion before you slap them on (again only on one side for some reason) no one wants GIANT chunks of raw onion on their pizza. Again - it wasn't like this before. I don't know if the manager has been out for the past few weeks or what, but it has been really disappointing.
I'll still give them a 3/5 because I know they are WAY better than the recent experiences indicate, but I'm on the lookout for another favorite pizza joint.
Jeremy Davis
I went in with my daughter, I ordered a small white pizza with sausage and she had a small cheese with pepperoni. Both pies were beyond exceptional, but words cannot describe the amazing flavor of the white and sausage. I have never had a better pizza!
The service made us both feel completely welcome, as if we were regulars and not from 2000 miles away.
If you want an amazing pizza and experience at a great price, give these guys a visit!
Tim Dawes
Just ate here. I hear it's real New York-style pizza. Yes, I get the irony in the name. The crust is just the right thickness to get crisp and still be doughy. The sauce is a touch tangy which is a welcome surprise in a pizza. There are two sizes small (good for two) and LARGE good for about six. It was very casual and a little loud for me which can translate into fun with the right group.
David Baughman
TL;DR - The staff was super friendly, food was excellent, and the environment there was very positive. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious pizza at a good price.
My co-worker and I are always looking for new places to eat, and today we discovered this gem not too far from our office. The pizzas were made in less than 10 minutes and were excellent. I got a few toppings on my pizza, and they piled the toppings on =) The crust was really good--you could tell it was made fresh--and it was nice and thin in the East Coast style.
Pepe Frog
One of the greatest pizza places I have ever been to. You get such a good pizza for the price you pay. Great service and Great food! Feels good man!
Amanda Aguirre
Absolutely divine Italian family style diner. The service is phenomenal! The master pizza chef is an artist at work and has a wonderful way with children. He let my daughters watch their pizza being made! SO AWESOME! I'm definitely coming back!
Trina Miller
This is a have to do when my family visits for a pie that is like home, New York. Staff was very friendly with quick service and accommodating with a 1 1/2 grand child. After we ordered our pies (Margarita, Italian) the wait staff brought my grand child at no charge a plate of salad with cheese and olives great finger foods. This was not ordered but very welcomed!. Our pizza were done to perfection. We then ordered 2 tomato pies to go which I have not found anywhere else in my travels except for NY,NJ. It my not have all the the thrills of fancy pizza joints but it is just like the pizzeria from home. Will always stop here for pizza when in Seattle.
Eric Purdy
This pizza is so delicious, the dough is nicely cooked with a slight char and the sauce and cheese are very high quality. The prices are a little high but the size of the pizza more than makes up for it (it's HUGE), a large can easily feed 8 people. I have tried the cheese, the pepperoni and the sausage and honestly the cheese is so good it doesn't need toppings. The salad is pretty standard but good. The canolis were disappointing as they tasted like old fryer oil. But the main draw is obviously the pizza and it certainly does not disappoint!
Wesley Hill
We ordered to go, which understandable takes away from the experience, but what we saw in store was very promising.
Now, when I was in the navy, I went to Italy and experienced the difference in Italian food there and here. In Italy, the dough is treated with love and meant to accompany whatever toppings you add. Most pizzas in the US treat pizza dough as a vehicle for toppings and taste like cardboard. At this restaurant, it tasted like Italy. I got a cheese pizza and a Margherita pizza, and both were fantastic. Their sauce on the cheese pizza was also especially good. The crust was crisp but soft and perfect. This is good pizza.
Robert L. Gluck
Is burnt pizza crust a Seattle thing? I prefer mine not charred.
Molly Krill
If you're looking for classic, New York style pizza, look no further! This is our favorite pizza joint and we come from 50 miles away just for the pizza. Everything is delicious, high quality ingredients and $2 Bud light!
Karl Horcher
Really good pizza! Sort of a New York style. Not the best service/pick up estimates. Had to wait 15 minutes past when they said to swing by for takeout. But their product is delicious!
Gordon Duzhou
Very nice atmosphere, there is usually plenty of space for seats. We tried the cheese pie pizza, lasagna, and the cheesecake. The wait time was not long and the pizza was very tasty. The small is 4 slices but is enough to feed two people with a side. We didn't order a large size but looking at the other tables the size is very generous so if you're not one to eat alot in one sitting be wary of getting it. The lasagna was good but we both agreed that the pizza was what made the dinner a great meal. Finally the cheesecake was amazing and it came with great whip cream on top. The people running the place are very kind and it was great to sit in!
Gene Schoepp
Amazing Northeast style pizza. Best in decades.
Michael Castelbuono
Agree with the rest of the positive reviews. We had an amazing time. The pizza was fantastic as expected. The salad was a real pleasant surprise! It was a gourmet Italian salad with homemade dressing. Delicious. The staff was warm and enjoyable, they made us feel like we were in Italy and part of the family. Can't wait to visit again.
Oscar Peterson
Our family recently had twins and I offered to pick up pizza for the adults. Pizzas were the largest I've ever seen! One of the staff offered to help us carry them back to the hospital which was super helpful. Also got salads, cannolis and cheesecake. Truly homemade classics. Can't wait to go back.
Arthur Emery
Best pizza place in Seattle, hands down. It's New York style pizza so it's not exactly like what you might be used to. Unless you're used to New York style pizza and are missing it from back home.
Absolutely delicious.
The cheap bud lights aren't bad either! Used to be a $1. Now $1.50. Still an incredible deal.
Love this place.
Jennifer R
This is a great place to take a larger group their pizzas are huge! I came here with my family from out of town and we love the staff and the food. The atmosphere here is casual and the people are very friendly. They also have delicious dessert. Thank you we will be back!
Po Izzy
Excellent Pizza! Friendly staff and the food doesnt break the bank. The large is HUGE and feeds 5 to 6 people. We had to ask for water a couple times but the pizza is so good i didnt mind. The owner is friendly and has some good stories! Simply a must if you're near.
Mohammed Al Saad
Wonderful pizza. Good prices.
Orion Nebula
Most amazing pizza I have ever had in my life! I have raved about them to everyone. Family owned and operated. They come and sit with you at your table to take your order and check on you. Quality service, quality atmosphere, above and beyond quality food. Don't miss out on this visiting this place when you're in the area. You won't regret it!
Alex Hartford
Amazing calzone. Try it. You won't regret it. Excellent crust on their pizzas. Lasagna is peppery, but that makes it addictive. Really has that traditional flavor punch I was looking for. Highly recommend.
Matthew Powe
I was looking for a place for lunch and wanted good pizza. Nothing fancy, just a decent joint. I am currently convinced that this place is the best in downtown Seattle and may be in my top 10. The crust is one of the best I have had, and I like the hole in the wall atmosphere. Good food, great service. Only suggestion is to add a medium size. A large will feed a herd, and a small 1-2. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
Stephanie Leann
Needed a semi-quick bite to eat on Halloween and saw this place was open. There's two main sizes of pizza, a "regular" size that fed myself and my boyfriend (we were pretty hungry and we LOVE pizza lol), and a large size that I saw another couple eating that was HUGE (could feed six adults maybe?) and looked AWESOME, but for around $40.00 it was a bit out of my price range for the night. We ordered the Italiano, it took less than 10 minutes and was absolutely delicious!! Garlic-y crust, nice big slices of salami, truly a very delicious pizza. The place had only two other couples, so it was pretty quiet, but the staff were all super friendly and checked on us often, and even offered us some Halloween candy! Will definitely come here again next time we're in the area.
R .Cas
Best pizza on First Hill. Crust and toppings are perfect, the sausage was on point. I believe they do pizza slices to-go and when the restrictions are lifted again this place represents a great option for a casual New York style slice.
Daniel Trost
by accident I stepped in that restaurant and was positive surprised. I had a very big pizza and it was a small version according to the menu. the pizza was delicious. in addition the guy in the restaurant, he was the boss, was very funny and communicative and entertained all the guests. this location is definitely a good tip. great food and cheap prices.
Joe R
Food is just okay
No frills claim is for real
Was mostly empty
Joseph Peters-Mathews
What stands out about Italian Family Pizza — mostly — are the size of the pies. They're giant. That may make for a great deal, relative to cost, but there may be something lost in quality, too. The pizza I've had from Italian Family Pizza wasn't bad, but the dough had been overworked before baking, and there wasn't enough sauce. Good in a pinch, but better pizza in Seattle.
Kaitlin Cunningham
Love this place! A group of friends and I were in Seattle for a couple days and happened to stumble upon Italian Family Pizza. The pizza was HUGE, and so delicious! Our waiter was awesome, and recommended some great hot spots for us to visit near by. Great place, with great people, and great pizza!
Patrick Fletchall
Love, love, LOVE this place!! I can't tell what I enjoyed more: the most delicious pizza I have literally ever had, or the absolutely fantastic experience and wonderful people working there. All together, the entire experience was so fun. Seriously some of the best new york style pizza I've ever tasted. We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner, and even that was good! It reminded us of the wine we used to have on our honeymoon in Rome. Joe (or Giuseppe) was the best! He made that place so fun! I asked for his name because I wanted to leave a review about how great he was, he really made the whole experience fun. He had the whole restaurant smiling. The place was packed with families and couples, and everybody having a blast. I'm so glad we discovered this place and I can't wait to go back!
Janie BoBanie
I can tell you that once you eat pizza here, you will never forget it. Get the large, it's the size if a car tire. Your kids will be amazed. It's authentic darn good pizza. The salad is delicious. I can't wait to go back.
Thabata Regiani
Nice family owned place, feels very Italian! We have only tried their pizzas, but would love to dine in once things go back to normal. Very friendly service and great price!
Mark Rosenberg
A simple East Coast style Pizzeria in Seattle that beats all the Fancy Pants places hands down. If you want good pizza served I have to admit rather oddly buy more Italians than I've seen in one place than in the whole city :-) then you should come here. Amazing crust.
marfen person
Authentic NY/NJ pizza that blows the local competition out of the water. I am certainly biased, as a transplant from NJ, but I can't abide by the weak or, at best, gimmicky crusts of local pizzerias. This place brings the full flavor of the dough to the fore, slightly blackened on bottom and fluffy at the edges. Compared with rivals back East, this pizza is a little light on the sauce for my taste, but high quality ingredients and attention to detail make this place a reliable shortlist heavyweight. The crown jewel of their rather short menu has to the be "The New Yorker". Taste those tomatoes and tell me the competition doesn't have a lot to learn - I dare you! It's not particularly cheap, but what is in Seattle these days? The small can be stretched to feed two adults, but I can certainly finish one if I'm in the mood. The large is gargantuan and could probably feed four adults with ease.
Joel (Eageralto)
SUMMARY: It's okay. Slow but friendly service and ordinary pizza. Too bad my expectations were so high.
IFP does not have the best pizza in the Puget Sound area. I don't know, yet, who does, but this isn't it, for sure. There's nothing terribly wrong with the pizza, but almost every element is just a step or two away from very good.
The crusts on both of my 12" pizzas were cooked thoroughly but had little ability to hold their shape. I lost one slice's toppings to a lava-hot cheese slide before learning my lesson. The crust didn't have a lot of flavor but had a chewy texture that I really liked. I wasn't a fan of the amount of residual flour, either.
The sauce was, as other reviewers described it, "tangy." Even a hint of sweetness or body would have been welcome. Instead, I'd describe it as acidic and a bit watery.
The other toppings were good, but nothing to write home about. I appreciated the spiciness of the New Yorker which came topped with Italian Sausage, Ricotta, and Cherry Peppers.
I visited on a Friday night when there was a convention down the street, so I expected a longer than ordinary wait. I was told that it would be 35 minutes before my pizzas were ready. i arrived 45 minutes later and was told it would be another 15 minutes. I would have liked a more accurate estimate of my wait time since my parking time in the neighborhood is extremely limited, but rushes happen.
I paid $30 for my pizzas. That's fair. I would have paid the same amount in the late 1970's. Yeah, it's more expensive than Domino's but this isn't Domino's. The disappointing bit is that it's not that much better than what I might get at Domino's. I'll be happy to return here and I'll bring the whole family next time, but the first visit wasn't what I hoped it would be.
Harrison Shapley
The best New York-style pizza I've had in Seattle. There are only two sizes, small or large - the large, at around $40, is enormous. And so worth it. Just please don't go, I want it to stay a secret!
Suz Park
Doesn't provide the most accurate estimates for the pizza but it was very good. I wouldn't have minded the wait if they just told me up front how long it would take. Told us 10-15 and it took closer to 45. We would've happily walked around the neighborhood instead of feeling like we were bothering the staff for updates. Great pizza tho!!
Alan H
One of my favorite pizzas. Be warned, it's greasy - but that's the way I like it. Not for the weak-gutted/sensitive folks (though they might have other dishes). Gluten never tasted so good!
Grab 3 friends and buy a large pizza. It's a sight to behold!
jason pham
Probably one of the largest pizza you can get in Seattle besides the size, the quality of it is great as well. Besides the 23 inch, you can get a smaller 11 inch as well, coming in a white, red or cheese pie. All the basic toppings are there, if you are doing carry out of the large pie, you need to figure out how to big it home as its too large to go in a normal size door for a sedan.
Kyle Cunningham
Their pizzas are extremely large, beware! I went here on vacation with another person - purchased a large - and was absolutely shocked at the size of that thing! I wish the waiter would have mentioned something to us, because we clearly weren't an entire family. It was great pizza though!
Lori Barthe
Great New York style pizza! The meatballs on the meatball pizza were delicious authentic Italian meatballs. Save room for dessert because the cannoli and the cheesecake are also amazing! Friendly helpful staff! We will be back on our next visit to Seattle.
Mitch Holt
I moved to Seattle from Pittsburgh almost two years. Until recently I thought I was going to have to accept that there was no good pizza in this city. Then these guys opened up a new location just down the street from me. This is probably the best pizza I have ever had in my life! Don't be intimidated by the price: it's totally worth it. The large is ridiculously huge, and the small is also a good deal. I'm going to post this on every review site I can. Seattle needs to know about this place!
Sresan Thevarajah
This place has the largest pizza I’ve ever seen. If you are ordering one...don’t try to eat it alone. Love the flavor but wish they served slices as well.
Eden
Craved pizza; the appetizing pictures and good rating bright me in. Pretty good :) I liked the crust, crispy; flour not too difficult to digest, unlike the terrible MOD pizza dough. Simple cheese with tomato sauce with a toping for $9. Big portion for small/1. Pleasing bites of pizza. Atmosphere is not for dating, but give it a try
Kiki Penoyer
Best pizza in the city. Possibly the state. Possibly anywhere. Seriously stellar New York style pizza, warm and welcoming staff (all family, all knowledgeable and kind,) $1 beer, friendly atmosphere--it's not just comfort food, it's a comfort experience. If you haven't been here yet, get on it before you waste any more time missing out.
Jesse Shefford
Excellent pizza. Great crust. Reminded me of NYC. One HUGE problem: There is no way to have a sensibly sized lunch at this place (in a neighborhood with hundreds of workers and visitors who eat lunch). The small pie was big enough for two lunches for the two of us, and the only salad ($8-$9) seems sized and priced to discourage sales.
Justin Havlovitz
Friendly staff serving massive pies with freshly made dough that is perfectly baked. Would have gotten the homemade cannoli but ended up eating too much of the pizza. Come here, you won't be disappointed (somewhat pricy though).
Elizabeth Elsesser (The Elephant Woman)
Excellent food and service. Thank you Tim!
Tyler Neyens
Wonderful GIANT pizza! Staff accommodated my daughters allergies upon request. Paired well with the salad. Highly recommend!
Kevin Troope
This was my favorite food stop in my stay in Seattle. It's a small family owned place and the owner mingles with patrons and was great to speak with. The largest size is too big for 2 people, I don't care how hungry you are! The food was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed the interactions with staff.

This place is the bomb if you're looking for a lunch special. Around $14 for a decent sized Italiano pizza and $1.50 bud/bud light. Gets dangerous quick if you're day drinking on a work day! The pizza is delicious and melts in your mouth, and the service is always excellent
John Butler
Having moved here from the east coast one of the things i missed the most was real pizza and I found it at the Italian Family Pizza Restaurant. The energy amongst the servers made me feel I was back in my Boston North End favorite pizza joint. I highly recommend it and when you go you too will feel like your a part of the family.
Lucas J
Best pizza joint in Seattle, hands down. Every time I make it downtown I make sure to head over to Italian Family Pizza. Great, friendly service but more important - great pizza! Customer for life.
Ramesh Kumar Sah
Good pizza. Great for large group
Mary Weber
So good! Would definitely recommend.
Get the wings - a whole pound, enough to share with a big group, very well seasoned and cooked and comes with refreshing, crunchy carrots, and the deep dish - cornmeal crust is where it's at! So delicious.
Venus Liza Santiago
Brings me back to Brooklyn. Their customer service is outstanding. The employees there go out of their way to make you feel like home. The Pizza OMG, my favorite is the White Pizza. The cannolis to die for a must have. Did I mention the Tomato Pie.
Just amazing!!!
Kathie Rivas
That was the biggest pizza I have ever seen! Delicious too! Sad that they were out of pasta today but that means another visit since other day 😁 …
Begz Erdenebat
This pizza restaurant is close to perfection. The taste of their pizza was heavenly. The customer experience was nice and polite. Nicely done, everyone! Keep making great pizza and pasta!
Greg
Since moving from Pittsburgh in February, I struggled to find a pizza that was cared for in the way the mom and pop Pennsylvania Italian pizza shops do. After a month of pizza depression, a co-worker turned me to Italian Family Pizza. Little did he know the man behind the doughy curtain was another Pennsylvania native.
This pizza is an 8/10 on a bad day without makeup (a cold day with lots of greasy toppings) and a 10/10 when left simple and authentic (tomato pie un-topped, margherita pizzas are my favorites). The crust is what keeps me coming back; wood-fired thin crust NY style made fresh at 05:30 every morning. Crispy, structurally sound, and full of flavor - what every die-hard thin crust pizza fanatic wants.
Please do yourself a favor and eat this pizza. All of the toppings are fresh and of highest quality. It really doesn't matter what you order, but vegetarians may actually make their carnivorous counterparts jealous of their orders. The roasted red peppers can't be beat for an added savory/sweet combination.
Jordan Garcia
I cannot tell you how much I love this place. When they first opened my family and I tried to go there and they stayed open late to accommodate us. The owner chatted with us and even sat at the table for a while, it was by far the best customer service experience I've ever had. I keep going back to support them and for the phenomenal pizza. I have seriously never had a better slice in my life.
Gustavo Pugliese
It is a place where the most simple pizza tastes wonderful. That's why you can tell they really know what they're doing. Plus: the service is great, the waiters are very nice and happy.. I recommend it!!
Diane Lindberg
Started going to their first location on Second Avenue which was just down the hill from my office building. Was Very bummed when they had to move out of that building. Since then my office moved and have discovered they are a short direct bus ride away ... Whoo Hoo because they have the best Italian artisan wood fired pizza in my mind! Also Awesome Friendly customer service!!! Suggest try it to see for yourself!
Dan Blanchard
Some business colleagues were in town and I took them downtown to explore some of the Seattle sights. After the Underground Tour we were hungry so I pulled out my 'Google Machine' to see what was nearby and Italian Family Pizza showed up. We all agreed that pizza sounded good so we walked about 6 blocks or so to Italian Family Pizza.
As it turns out, we couldn't have made a better choice. Upon walking into the place we were greeted by Joe who was first class! He treated us like family and we had the biggest pizza we had ever seen. The food was awesome, the atmosphere created by the employees was awesome, and I can't wait to take my family back there.
Thanks Joe!
Michael Falcon
Delicious calzone! Super delicious canoli! The filling is the best I've had (even better than that Italian deli down in the market🤤). Yes. THAT good. Great service with a smile and a chuckle from the older fella in the cap. Nice staff. I'll be back😋😎😃 …
Henry VIII
MASSIVE size pizzas, was with a large group so many types were brought to the table. I think the ones without tomato sauce were bland but the dough was perfect and the meat pizzas had a load of flavour, I would say these are the largest pizzas I have ever seen. I will probably revisit the next time I am in Seattle.
Peter Mrofka
This is there NEW location that will open in MAY!
Their current location is on the corner of 1st and Seneca. Best pizza in the city, best pizza I've ever had. My favorite is the New York with cherry peppers ricotta and, made to their specifications, sausage. The cannolis are amazing and they have a great beer and wine selection. I highly recommend eating at their 1st and Seneca location and we'll see you at this location in May. Enjoy!
P.S. Their large is no joke... it's massive!
dolla316
easily the best pizza in town all fresh ingredients and the detail put into the sauce alone makes it worth ANY trip for a slice this is the Seattle standard for true Italian pizza hands down the service and atmosphere is definitely tops
Ethan Thompson
Staff were amazing and the pizza was very much East coast style. Tons of grease, thin slices, hot out of the oven. I would highly recommend going here, for no other reason than to meet the incredible group of people who work there.
Anudeep Jayaram
It was ok I guess. I had pepperoni with other toppings and I didnt find this pizza something special. I was expecting more for the price tbh. You have better pizza places in capitol hill for this price.
Keila Mendoza
Great service and good portion of food. The calzone was delicious.
Donna Tjaden
Great service awesome pizza my grandkids loved it
James Dean
Some of the best pizza in Seattle, you will not leave hungry! Bring your "A" game & a friend if you plan on ordering a large. Has an east coast atmosphere and style.
E Palmer
Let me just say. I walked into here for the first time, as a regular to the bar next door. And the vibe and the great service made me a return customer, all on its own. The pizza is amazing too. No matter what size you get. Thanks guys.
Ryan Novak
Pretty decent pizza place across the street from Swedish Chapel Hill hospital. A small, 12" pizza started around $9.50. Soda was pricey at $3.75. Overall it was good food. The music was kind of annoying though.
Kylle Schane
What a great place.... love the welcome from all the guys here. Service is awesome and the company is comical. Ask for some card tricks from the owner. I absolutely love pizza and this is top notch...grab a slice..... or else!
Paul Sebelien
Awesome service and great stromboli.
Katt Wade
I'll keep this short. Great pizza, great atmosphere. We only got a small one between two of us and almost considered ordering another, it was that good!
Ana Ventura
I loved the pizza here! I've tried a lot of pizza places in Seattle and this is one of the best ones so far.
Warren Collins
Finally -- THIS is NY pizza (or as close as you're gonna get in Seattle) - the sauce is nuanced, rich, with an olive dense complexity - the thin chewy but crispy crust creates the most satisfying layers for a flavor packed indulgence in each bite, pure heaven - triggers deep Greenwich Village, Brooklyn, Staten Island memories - and the cannonli, my God, the real deal - not some over sugared flaky cream burrito that's typical of many west coast hack "pizzerias" - this place should be protected by the state preservation board - a regional treasure.
xtremeiceman
This is a small restaurant with BIg Pizza. The large pizza is 30 inches or so across. They have a variety of named pizzas with options to add, or design your own toppings. Other Italian fare (Calzones, Lasagna, pastas, Salad and desert are on the menu. They have a basic selection of wine and beer, and a few unusual liqours. A large selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The staff is friendly and usually quite energetic, especially the owner?(The boss man). Everything is made when you order, take out is offered. It's a bare shade on the high side of price, but it's quality, handcrafted, and feels special. Great for groups, families, or just a couple splitting a small pie. Don't be shy if asked to sing along or cheer with others celebrating something special.
Bud Teeters
One of the only best in the neighborhood that's not commercial. My family orders through G+ if we don't have enough for Uber eats or post mates not bad pizza but very oily I know some people like that so it is what it is . Remember it's just pizza
Leslie Molson
The door and the internet clearly state they close at 9:00pm. I walk over in the rain at 8:30pm and the restaurant is full, but the door is locked. I get someone's attention and am told "these are summer hours" and that they're closed. I was livid.
Update: I do appreciate the response, and I did go back, and it's very good pizza. Just be be prepared toward closing time.
Jason Robins
Great pizza. We got the "New Yorker" and it's HUGE. Both in flavor and size. The large pizza is close to 24" across. Will most definitely be coming back.
kingjelly82
The New Yorker is the pizza to get. A large easily serves 4-6
David Langhals
The Wiser challenge was the most fun I had all week. The pizza was delicious and the service was even better! If you have room after the pizza, the cannoli and cheesecake were incredible!
Jason Kresge
The pizza is amazing but the service is horrible. We ordered a large plain pizza, they brought out a pepperoni. They took it back, then brought it back to us and argued that it was our order.
There is a language barrier at this place if you only speak English, so be prepared for that. If you can get past that, it's arguably the best pizza in the area.
Michelle Loprieno
I used to really love this place but I feel like the quality of the pizza has really gone downhill. The crust has gotten soggy and the mushrooms might be from a can. Cheapest beer in the area though!!!!
Janaki J
The giant pizza were a hit for the event!
Matthew Anderson
Excellent, friendly service in a fun, family-oriented environment. Delicious pizza, and the staff there are wonderful to interact with. One of our family's favorite options in downtown Seattle.
Heather Bryan
This was just a little hole in the wall place. Loved it, didn't have pizza but, highly recommend the lasagna! They don't serve bread with it but made a cheesy garlic piece just for me.
Mark Keller
In my opinion, this is the best pizza in all of seattle. I love the sauce and the large pizza is VERY large. A personal pizza is definitely enough for one person and could be shared by two.
Ellis D
My favorite pizzeria in Seattle, reminds me of being home in NYC. Delicious pizza and the crust is on point. Haven't been there in a while because I was eating pizza every week for about 6 months, I need my fix😋. …
Dr. Brandy L. Ethridge, PhD, MPAdm
Delicious NY meets Naples style thin crust pizza. Perfect amt of sauce-cheese ratio! Great service, food, price & location!
Cameron Gibson
This is one of the best pizza places in town. Walk up First Hill to get your appetite up, then feast on a huge, classic pizza. A delicious and friendly restaurant.
Maxxwell Denton
Outstanding!!! Pizza slices too big for the plates? How can you go wrong?
H. Danielson
Super nice people
(belated review)
My son is 10 with severe autism I went here after a walk with my mom and her boyfriend. We sat and my son was antsy being in a new place. I was worried about not being welcomed due to some rude stares from another patron. However the owners wife came over and visited made us feel very welcome despite another patrons rude glaring. As soon as the pizza came my son was in heaven the pie was GINORMOUS! The happy "nom nom nom" sounds from my son was totally worth it!
Tyler Robinson
Expect odd service in a nearly empty room with cheap beers and giant pizza covered in cheese but swirled with tomato sauce rather than even layer under the cheese. I honestly think it's the best bargain pizza in Seattle.
Alex Wiley
Our new favorite spot, everything you'd want out of a pizza! It's large and in charge and oh so tasty! Super friendly people in there too.
Adrian
One of the best pizza places in town. Bonus points for the massive pizza you can get. Not only is it a fun place to go but the pizza is really tasty.
Laura Perfect-Maloy
Went here for our son's 17th Bday. BEST pizza we've ever had!!! Owner is so friendly and welcomes everyone that comes in. Will return for sure!
James Kerber
Great pizza, starting with the best crust I've had outside of NY and continuing with a great selection of toppings. Started with the cheese pizza and built up from there. Will be my go to pizza from here on.
Adam Snow
This was the biggest pie I've ever seen. I'd recommend the pizza.
G S
I’ve been to the original one many times and must say that this new location is just as legit. If you’re looking for the best pizza in Seattle that’s authentic, unpretentious, and hits the spot, you’ve got two choices: Italian family and Pagliacci’s
Bryan Edenfield
After a strange encounter at a nearby tavern, we came here. I know nothing about the architect and I can’t tell you their telephone protocols but if your organs haven’t all solidified than the music that slips from your lips should be roughly the texture of aurora borealis, give or take a spectrum. Yum.
Xtian Gunther
Decent pizza but Paggliacci's margherita pie still reigns in Seattle. 3.75 stars. This from a consumate pizza fan who's had most of those considered to be the best in North America.
Melanie Galbraith
What should have taken 30 minutes, took 2 and 1/2 hours, my son n I were starving. Had a "hankering" for pizza and this popped up first. Awesome! Amazing! Chris is Fantastic!
Chuck Reisinger
Really good pizza. The place is normally packed because it is a good deal for good food. If you like Bud they have them for cheap, if you like good beer they might not have it.
Peter Moss
After two visits this has become my absolute favorite pizza spot, great pie, great salad. Immediately supplied water by the pitcher and beer is $2
Jordan Lieu
Fire pizza and fire sauce
Dan Langille
Hands down great service and excellent pizza, calzonnes, and lasagna. We ate there for 3 straight nights during this year's ECCC and every night was worth it. Thanks family we will be back!!!
Conrad Cowlrick
Dropped in here as a tourist when I saw "pizza and beer" and was very happy. Pizza was great, local brews, and they provided wifi access on request - allowing me to plan my day and make this review ;)
Try the white pie with garlic etc
Sean Flinn
Size over quality wins out here. The massive 24"+ pizza is very novel and definitely were trying once. Their cannolis are top notch.
George Carlin
Pretty good authentic (as far as “Italian” pizza goes) pizza! If you get a large, you better bring some friends because it’s huge!
Norlaila Toulas
Great service. Pizza was okay for me. But I loved that they had a no cheese option. Great for lactose intolerant folks.
Shane Shelton (YODAWGIHEARDYOU)
Had a pepperoni pizza, it was fantastic. Great crust and sauce! Quick and friendly service. Would go back for sure :)
Lina M
Nice guys working here. Awesome cheese/sausage/mushroom pizza. Wish it didn't take 40 min for it to cook though. Will prob take out next time.
Krzysztof Dulęba
Possibly best crust in Seattle. Soooo yummy!
Heather Skeehan
Very good New York style pizza. The white pizza with mushrooms and garlic on it was awesome. And the pepperoni pizza was solid. The salad was also solid.
Daniel Vazquez
Warm service and fantastic Italian pies that taste like home-made, with fresh ingredients, at very affordable prices. Family friendly, casual environment. A nice experience, overall.
eric post
They make some of the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. It really reminds me of being back East.
Lawyer Aidroos
Super unique pizza selection and their cheese assortment is by far the best I've come across in a pizzeria.
Meggian Otoole
The service was wonderful and the crust was perfectly crusty and thin with such a rich buttery flavor. The sauce, oh my...hands down my favorite pizza place in Seattle.
Joe Mills
Excellent East Coast – style pizza. I dragged a party of 10 13- and 14-year-old boys there, and they all enjoyed the pizza and the atmosphere.
Michael Renzaglia
Just off the plane two hours earlier...our first time to Seattle....found this gem on our way to the Needle....hard to choose which was better....the pizza or the atmosphere.....not everyone can make a great pizza, but a great pizza maker can come from anywhere....
Linda Samplawski
The pizza is soooo good! It reminds me of of Tivoli Tap pizza. A very popular pizza place from the Chicago area when I was little. My favorite place to eat when I visit Seattle.
Emile Saad
One of my favorite pizzas in Seattle. Homey, no frills, and delicious pizza. The people who work there are very friendly.
Christina Hendricks
Always amazing. We were worried when they changed ownership, but everything is exactly the same.
Valeria Newze
Ordered small Italian pizza, it was SO good,. If I live in Seattle, I would go for pizza only to this place!
thebossshark99
Excellent, authentic pizza. White pie was delicious as was the Canolli. Favorite pizza in Seattle
Austin Barnhart
Visiting from Boise ID and had the italiano and the white pizza and they were some of the best pizza I've ever had!
Edward Mount
I had the small cheese pie, and it was perfect- any extra seasoning(s) could have only took away from it. I’ve been around, and that was exceptional.🤗 …
Andrew M Smith
The big pizza is for like 10 people. It's maybe the best piZZA in Seattle which is both not saying much but also saying something 🍕 …
Jennifer Michaels
Italian Family Pizza has great service & location and the food prices are amazing. Try the thin crust pepperoni, its so yummy!
Marc Vertido
Super legit pizza place. Owner is fun, and the pizzas are amazing! Large is REALLY big; probably one for a party of 6.
Michael Baker
Good crust & large pizzas. Found my new favorite there: double pepperoni, pepperoncini peppers, cherry peppers, black olives.
Sean Lynch
We are from Texas. Everytime we visit Seattle, Italian Family Pizza is a "MUST STOP!" I love this place. We will keep coming back. Thanks!
Christian LaRocco
Fantastic quality marinara and thin crust pizza. Please keep up the great food and don't let the hipsters take over.
E. Scioli
Outstanding pizza! Look no further than Italian Family Pizza for your fix of NYC style pizza. Friendly staff!
Chris F
Still some of the best pizza I've ever eaten. The sauce is phenomenal and their selection is great too.
John Renner
Best pizza in Seattle. The staff is enthusiastic and the bud costs $1.50. What more could you want?
Juno Choi
Hand-tossed local pizza. Super large portion available.
Christopher Lewis
Got a group? Get one of those enormous pies. Why drink Bud-Light while downtown Seattle? Because it's a buck-fifty a bottle and you need something light to leave room for pizza.
Brett White
I usually get a lunch slice. They only have cheese and pepperoni for the lunch slice.
Firaz Akmal
Great NY Pizza spot. Consistently good and even better prices. A hidden pizza spot in a city full of overrated pizza spots.
Kellee Marie Abell
Great pizza- loved the New Yorker. Great place to bring family- very accommodating if you have little kids.
Caelan Brock
The Margherita was delicious. Big Basil leaves, very fresh.
T M
Some of the best pizza I've ever had,and the large was giant, the owner was very cool.
Gerald Robertson

Great pizzas, the only downside is you have to pay for parking like anywhere in seattle

Their cheese pizza taste just like a new york slice.

Great people making awesome pizza quick. When it's this good, you don't need a big menu.
Adrien O'Leary
Amazing. So simple, yet the atmosphere is nice and the pizza is delicious. Thanks to the friendly staff for the kind service!
Peter Drewcock
The pizza was tasty but sloppy in the center. Way too much topping.
Service was great.

The pizza could be better. The crust was good but I didn't go there for a crust only pizza
Jamia Howard
Humongous pizzas that taste so good! This is definitely a great option for a party!
gildardo gomez

Quick service and nice staff, the most important is the great pizza they serve
Patrick Gottbreht
Great pizza. The large pizza in the box barley fits out the door. We will definitely be going back.
Susan Ward
Nice family setting, pizza came out quickly alittle skimpy on toppings especially for a $30 pizza but it was good.
Jeanette Pessa
It was AWESOME!!!! The ambience is very family oriented and there very nice and accommodating. We had the stromboli and it was AMAZING.

Great Service and yummy Pizza
Fernando Lobato
The red sauce is good, pretty great place for pizza being Seattle and at all.

We live close by and ordered a couple times but have stopped- the large is HUGE but our experience is that they have inconsistent service (sometimes pizza arrives cold) and have once gotten a burnt pizza as well.

Bill Bounds
Good pizza, staff was really nice. Will definitely come back!
William Carrington
Excellence in service, and a real tasty pie
This is old school serious pizza pies, Enjoy!
Bonati Dando
I appreciate their effort making pizza from scratch but I didn't like it, it has this strong smell I don't know what it is I throw the whole pizza away.
Kourtney Head
took my nephew here and we both loved it!amazing service and great pizza!
Andrew Mao
Huge pies and $1.50 bud lights. If you don't like that, geeeeet ouuutaaa hea'! Real Italian family running this joint and doing it well.

Good Pizza and staff is very charming, great atmosphere, looking forward to returning
Devin Burnett
Pizza is delicious but too popular can wait a significant amount of time for your pie.
Kat
Grabbed a small pep&chz when they first opened at this location and it was PERFECT! It's so awesome to have them in our neighborhood :)
Jon Zobrist
This is the closest I have had to a perfect pizza. Try the white pizza with mushrooms and sausage, or a cheese pie with green peppers and pepperoni.

A massive pizza unlike anything else in Seattle. The staff was great and everything about this place felt authentic.

I always grab the gigantic pizza for parties. It's impressive and feeds like 8 people per pie.

Get it with red sauce (is there any other sauce?!) and pepperoni. Ask for light sauce. Best pizza anywhere. Period.
