Reviews of Harbor City Restaurant
Danny Tram
I have been here several times but now have the time to write a detailed review for this excellent and delicious restaurant. The food is super delicious and tasteful. I tried the cilantro shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, and vegetable seafood hotspot. The service was not excellent since we waited quite a long to get our first order. The problem is a lack of employees, and I find it interesting why the restaurant does not hire more. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the great atmosphere here. Many Asians dine in, so it is a good signal that the Asian food is decent and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is a no frills dim sum restaurant in the heart of Chinatown and the food here is delicious. The service is friendly and the ordering process is super easy via a nifty app where you can add dim sum items with accompanying pictures. Got here around noon on a Sunday with a party of 2 and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table which wasn’t that bad. Everything was very good and I highly recommend coming here for some authentic dim sum.
Jessica
Don’t require vax cards or masks to enter but lots of people still wear masks for courtesy. We waited for a table and they allowed us to pick a seat ourselves and there’s a QR code to not only scan the menu but order and add dishes throughout your dining experience. Quick, efficient, good tea. Can’t remember all we ordered other than free range chicken, a small honey walnut prawns (wish I got large for sharing purposes), shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, and a couple other things. Super good food! Second time being here ^_^

Good food and reasonably priced. We didn't have to wait to be seated and were able to order at the table online with the QR code provided. Service isn't the best as far as getting drinks refills. Don't expect them to come back and check on you, but that's kinda typical of asian restaurants. Majority of guests were asians so that's a good sign of decent Asian food. Hot tea provided at no additional cost at the table already so that was nice too.

Food was really amazing! We ordered some delicious dim sum food, and the noodles were really delicious! However, the service was very lackluster, and the place was a bit unkept. Still worth a stop if you wanted to get food to go or if you don’t really care about the service too much.
Leanne
Great dim sum and fair pricing. They have a lot of good options. I enjoyed the sticky rice with the sausage where they give lots of meat. I also love the egg custard bun.

Five ***** weekend brunch fresh made to order dim sum restaurant. Nice environment, nice folk yet staff is really overworked. Evening fare is hit or miss, staff really thin, you have to try many dishes to find the gems. Often you might be very disappointed or find the optic of the presentation as quite haphazard.
Lu Hoa
Great food. It is not special more than other dimsum places that I have tried. The fish maw soup was a little bit light. Overall, I recommend this place for the Cantonese atmosphere and the authentic dimsum. You can also have a walk in the China town to discover this area

Dim sum was definitely good. However, nothing extraordinary but delicious and reliable and will certainly meet expectations. I was visiting from LA. The thing I loved was the noodle quality in the shrimp roll (I am unsure of traditional name that’s what I call it lol) and the chow fun noodles the actual noodles were so thick and fresh and I absolutely loved them. Very affordable and order off phone and being to your table like most places since COVID. Took a little while to get check bc it was busy which was understandable. Only came to try it so did not try as much as usual.

In A Nutshell:
-If you love dim sum that is still at a great price, you need to come eat at Harbor City in Chinatown Seattle.
-If you are a regular dim sum eater, you know when a place serves quality food.
-I enjoyed the prices around $5.55 for FOUR pieces.
-Many places have jacked up the prices, but give you only 3 pieces, but not here.
-I enjoyed all of the dishes here & I even took a bunch home for leftovers.
-The baby bok choy is plentiful, one plate is enough to share for four people.
-The restaurant itself is dated, but that is part of the allure of this place.
Overall, you'll find all sorts of people enjoying the food here, young & old.

Almost as good as NYC dim sum. I've really struggled to find some good dim sum outside of NYC - especially places that have the rare steamed lotus seed bun. This place has it and the dishes we tried were solid, with the minor caveat that food here seems the tiniest bit underflavored - a bit undersalted and undersweet. But I still liked it. Major bonus points for affordability, and they accept credit cards.
In my experience - I'd say this place is B+ to A- tier; NYC dim sum is between B+ and A; Hong Kong's good places are A to A+.
Dim sum dishes ordered:
— Ha gow (shrimp dumplings) - Yum. Shrimp is not as sweet and flavorful as in Hong Kong which is a high bar, but it was still tasty.
— Shrimp cherng fun (steamed rice roll) - Very impressed with freshness of noodles. Wish shrimp was larger as that'd be sweeter. Sauce needs to be sweeter.
— Beef cherng fun (steamed beef rice roll) - Very impressed with freshness of noodles! Char siu in it was good. Like the shrimp one, sauce needs to be sweeter.
— BBQ Pork buns -Solid for a fix. Fluffy and sweet bun, but wasn't the best filling. Not a very strong taste.
— Steamed Lotus Seed Buns - Real lotus seed, but wasn't sweet enough
— Pan fried shrimp cakes - best dish of the ones I tried here! Surprisingly tasty.
— Sesame balls with lotus seed paste - skip next time; dough was chewy and delicious but too thick, and there wasn't much paste. Go with Mee Sum Pastry's instead.
This place also has the real authentic dishes like chicken feet, which I don't like to eat, but other tables got them and it looked fresh. Honestly it seemed like most dishes you get here would be solid. I didn't hate anything (unlike Din Tai Fung, lol). Got 7 dim sum dishes total split between 2 people. It came out to roughly $43, and we were both pretty stuffed.
Service-wise, they were great. We beat the crowd Sunday at ~10:30am and there was no wait. It got pretty busy at 11 so get there early to avoid the waitlist. There was a minor hiccup when we paid at the front; they accidentally billed us as the wrong table but refunded and fixed it without us prompting, giving us the refund receipt just in case. Appreciated that!
While they didn't have cart service when I went, I actually loved their QR code made-to-order system which lets you order dishes with your friends and it updates live. You can clearly see the cost of each dish as you add to your cart and most dishes had pictures. It was a lot less hassle than trying to flag down cart servers to get the dim sum dishes you want. Food came out pretty quickly and they served free, delicious tea like real dim sum restaurants in Hong Kong.
TL;DR - highly recommended, very good value for tasty and fresh dim sum, and great service. 100% coming back here for my dim sum fix.
Lily Yee
Good enough dimsum because it is Seattle. The better dim sum places are in Richmond.
I came on a weekend at 11am. I was 7th on the paper waitlist. That translated to a 50 minute wait. They tell the customers 30 minutes.
There are no carts here. They used the qr code system to order, which is what I remember last year. The service is non existent. The staff here bring out food and tea. The dimsum gets brought out in random batches.
For four people ,we got 13 dishes and had leftover.
The pea tip sprout with garlic sauce (not pictured) was yummy. It had enough wok flavor. 5/5
The honey walnut shrimp large size is $18 . The small size is $10 and only has 6 pieces ( the staff told us this). I don't love the price point. Taste wise it is okay, not the best I ever had. 3.5/5
The cocktail buns ( has coconut) was fairly good. I am not a bun person. The filing to bread ratio was unbelievable ( 80% filling) . I got it since it is limited item. It tasted better than most bakeries
5/5.
The seafood chow fun had good "wok hei". The shrimp they used didn't taste too fresh. There was an ok amout of squid. It could of had more beansprouts.
3.75/5.
The serving size of the steam beancurd rolls ( tofu wrap with meat and veggies) was large. Flavor wise was acceptable.
My friends said the steam rice rolled with Chinese donut tasted old. They must have refried the donut as it does not taste crunchy at all. 1/5.
I did not eat the chicken feet, steam buns or lotus wrap leaf rice. My friends didn't had any comment on those items.
The tendons was a favorite for some members. Tendon has a chewy and jelly like texture. The siu mai and har gow was better than frozen dim sum but nothing that gives me cravings.
parking wise can be hard. You either pay for street parking or pay for it at a lot. Chinatown is near many bus lines.
Jason Philip Yoong
Delicious food. Wide selection. Large portions. Good prices. Nice staff / customer service. Easy to dine in or order online and pickup.
Our go to spot for traditional Chinese food.
(photos are a combination of dine in and takeout)

We loved it, visited twice so far and will be going back when in Seattle area, food is always delicious... dumplings, chowmin, fried rice, chicken feet are few of those yummy dishes.... and can't forget the tea....
Manoj Reddy
We ordered Peking Duck and House special fried rice. The peking duck pieces had a slight funky odor. The bao buns they served with the duck were very tasty. The fried rice wasn't fried enough and shrimp in the fried rice felt almost raw or just slightly boiled. Service was fast though.
Miyuki Abe
Loved their food! Each dumpling is filled with a lot of ingredients and portion is decent. I will definitely go back again :)
Such Wee
Stop by whenever you can! Food was amazing, service super friendly and welcoming with a delicious jasmine tea on an exciting rotating table and simple QR code menu/ordering system for the BEST dim sum in town! 💜 The shrimp rice cakes are especially amazing, and i did get the spicy chicken and seafood fried rice to go!! 😂 Can't wait to go back.

This is a Dim sum restaurant. You order using scan code at your table. Food is pretty authentic and good. When we went very crowded and popular. Located in the International district of Seattle, WA. Needs an upgrade or two but you will not regret going and eating there.
Olivia Ogasawara
This is my go-to dim sum place in Seattle! There’s a lot of food choices on the menu and it is reasonably priced. Food arrives quickly and the portions and the noodle dishes especially are pretty large. The food here’s really good and authentic 10/10 would recommend!!!
Amelia Clack
The food is AMAZING and the staff are so nice and helpful. The food comes out quick and hot. Their dumplings are so good and so is their honey walnut shrimp.
Jay Sungvorn
My family is visiting from CA, we eat dimsum all the time in So. Cal, expectation was high. I like the there are variety of dimsum. There are items on menu that I have not seen in So.cal. Some are good but some are ok. Sumai was good. Salted squid could have been more crispy and needed more jalapeños. Shrimp cake on deep fried tofu was good, tofu was crispy outside but still soft inside. Scallop dumplings were not so good, skin was very thin, nothing special about tiny pieces of scallops. Deep fried shrimp dumplings was interesting, screwy texture. Deep fried shrimp balls were cover with noodle and crispy noodle and cheese dipping sauce. Sauce was sweet, crispy outside and soft inside. You have ordered on your phone, it was not working first time and order did not go thur, so have to do it again. It was little confusing to check out and paid on the phone. Communication was difficult at time. Line for long when we came out.
Olivia M
Really good dim sum!! Great portions, great prices and great selection. Would recommend coming early (around 10am) if you don’t want to wait for a table on the weekend as it gets pretty busy. Otherwise, very yummy dim sum and also the green beans were delicious!
Stavros Macrakis
I only had two items -- the scallop dumpling and the flaky BBQ pork pastries. Both were delicious, and the scallop dumpling was also gorgeous.
Hao Feng
First time visiting here with my wife and I. The food was delicious and service was excellent.
Ordering the food was a little confusing. I didn't know that you needed to scan the QR code and then order online and your food will be delivered to your table. Wife and I both scanned the QR code to check out the menu, but my wife ordered for us and there wasn't an option to have the food delivered to our table. That was because I scanned the QR code first and she scanned it second. What ended up happening was our food ended up being to go instead of dine in. Luckily our waiter was really nice and fixed this for us. I recommend first time visitors to have one person use their phone to order.
Emily Chen
Awesome, very well priced dim sum spot. Food was high quality and service was fast.
They always have a long line on weekends so be prepared to wait 1hr+ but well worth it and you can walk around and come back close to when your name will be called.
Carlyn H
I always go here for my dimsum (other option for me is across the border 😄). Everything is good. Their charsiu (pork bbq) is the best outside of Vancouver BC for me. It gets pretty crowded during lunch hours so time your visit. Traditional Hong Kong dimsum which is how dimsum should be. Don’t miss the roasted duck!
J C
Use my friend words: “the taste of food barely worth 4 stars, but the experience are not”. I don’t mean they are bad but they are like okay level service.
One bad thing is they don’t have Chinese drinks available, like HK style milk tea, which is not quite good.
Daniel Price
Delicious! Thursday night 8pm was not busy at all and the food was great. I liked ordering from the web app on your phone.
Uriah Levi
Great and authentic Cantonese food. From food to decoration, everything is so authentic that you can hardly find them in Guangzhou or even Hong Kong these days due to the rapid urban pace in Asia. Highly recommended.
Gervais Chevalier
really great dim sum spot in seattle's china town area
the wait can be long especially on weekends, we waited about 30 mins at 11:30 AM on a saturday
ordering is done through an app and the food comes quickly, the har gow and shu mai are great but be aware that most of the dim sum dishes are bigger in size than my other dim sum experiences
order less but leave full, we ended up giving a doggy bag to one of the homeless
Ankit Rawat
This was the first time I came here for dinner and I was surprised by how empty it can be in the late evenings but there is zero compromise on food. We ordered a table full of food and everything was delicious.
Whe ordered Egg & scallions fried rice, chicken & fish fried rice, Kung pao chicken, stir fried green beans, egg rolls, pan fried chives shrimp cakes, steamed BBQ pork buns, steamed chicken buns, steamed shrimp dumpling with carrot & green peas, pan fried tofu with shrimp, roasted pork.
I would still prefer coming earlier during the day when they have the steam carts, with different dimsums, dumplings and steamed buns, serving fresh and hot going one table to the another.
Remo Dela Cruz
No frills dim sum place in Seattle. Definitely recommend if you have a big appetite for dim sum and looking for a place that offers authentic Chinese cuisine. Ordered several items from the menu but absolutely liked their shumai, shrimp dumplings and fried rice. The staff is also a bit more hospitable than your average Chinese restaurant. They even had us try their freshly baked custard cake. Highly recommend if you're in town as the food is great and prices are reasonable.
Ruenom
Came here with a group of friends for a celebration. The vibe was cool and the food was mostly good, except some pork/meat dishes were a little pink on the bottom.
Danny Le
Overall each dish was seasoned well and was cooked just right! The must tries would be the crispy pork and the dumplings!
바다별
Yummy big size of dimsums ever tasted. Chinese broccolis with oyster sauce are overcooked.
Junli Zhong
They don't walk around with carts anymore however you order online. Dim sum is what you'd expect it to be. Waits on the weekend can be 15-30 min depending on time of day and number of people. They're usually pretty good at it. They forgot one of our dishes but we didn't mind because we were already full with our 6-9 dishes. Love the variety of dishes!
Darek Dlizo
The web application used for ordering is incredible. I went here for dim sum with friends and the app made it fun and effortless to order our food. The app also notifies the group when a new person joins the table order with a friendly greeting. The staff were really kind, one of the members let me in on a secret for getting my tea pot refilled. Simply just leave the lid open to indicate you need more tea.
Annie H
Dimsum to order, so everything comes out hot! When you get to your seat, you scan a QR code with your phone and it will recognize your table number- you give your phone number and # in the party and you can start ordering.
Make sure to send your initial order right away if you are ready to eat, and then you can browse the menu for additional items.
This is quick and easy for people that are tech-forward, not sure how the learning curve would be for everyone else. Anyone with a phone at the table is able to add to the order as long as they scan the QR code to get assigned to the table, but Harbor City asks a maximum of 2 cards when splitting the bill.
Enjoyed my visit, would go again.
Chris Sa
Their dimsum was super delicious! Staff were friendly and it's located in the center of Chinatown
Gunnar
We love Harbor City Dim Sum. Older building with a bustling atmosphere. No more cart service but still a great experience ordering at the table through the app. This is the best Dim Sum in Seattle and a regular stop for us. We will definitely be back!
Amanda Babai
No frills dim sum restaurant. It has all the basics, and it tastes great. Probably one of the most authentic dim sum restaurants on the Seattle area, but you will find better dim sum in NYC, Boston, etc. Currently, they’re not doing the carts, but the mobile ordering is very easy.
Jasmine McKenzie
Love their shrimp scallion fried pies and salt & pepper squid! Both so tasty! Pork shumei and fried egg wrapped shrimp rolls are stand outs too. Fresh and hot dim sum including tasty sesame balls. Service is nice and friendly and patient.
Kevin D
On a Saturday 11am, we waited about 25 minutes for a table for 4. Once seated, we had quick service and everything was delicious! Ordering via the QR code was easy - I liked how everyone at the table can scan and see what is being added to the table's order. The tea was great, every dish was so tasty, and we appreciated how the larger items come pre-cut.
Parking: we avoided the expensive parking lots, so spent a while looking for street parking. We'll likely take the light rail next time.
Jordan Pischke
The food here is amazing. The wait is worth it and they have dim sum all day long
Rajiv Nandodkar
The Mongolian beef is so good. Definitely a must try. My photo doesn’t do justice.
Jon
One of my faves places to eat when I visited Seattle. They are known for their Dim Sum but make sure to try their other dishes. Reasonable price and good serving size. Definitely try the HK Sampan Style Congee and Daikon Cakes. Can't go wrong with Chicken Feet and their variety of dumplings. Due to covid, you place your order online and they bring you the food. You can even pay your bill online as well.
Kik Niruntasukrat
Roasted pork is the best, big portion. Street parking is $0.25 per 30 minutes, feeling a liitle bit unsafe to park there.
AJ Will
Ever since I moved here, this restaurant has been my absolute favorite. The staff are very friendly and easy going. Food is excellent, especially their chow fun and crispy pan fried sea food noodles! If you are in the Seattle area, give this restaurant a go. You won't regret it!
J B
This place is so genuine and wonderful owners. I did a food tour with the Wing-Luke Museum. By far my favorite spot on the tour. The vermicelli noodles are incredible. Can't wait to try the Dim Sum.
Parks Rosalie
Authentic Asian cuisine and were delighted to find this place! Staff was clearly being very careful about safety, but friendly and welcoming, too. We loaded up on Dim Sum, especially enjoyed shrimp dumplings, sweet & sour prawns, egg rolls, and even had Peking duck. Food was all well prepared served steaming, and we brought home leftovers!
Aaron R
I've picked up here quite often for a food delivery service I drive for and finally decided to try it out. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp w/ rice and shrimp fried egg rolls, all I can say is WOW why haven't I come here earlier! The shrimp egg rolls are amazing with good size shrimp and fried with a flakey/ crunchy texture- this is the way I like them. Walnut shrimp cooked perfectly with great sauce amount on them. Coming back for sure!
Olivia Hara
Went on a Saturday for brunch, the wait wasn't bad and the food was really good. Order via QR code, which makes it pretty easy, but a little difficult for those who aren't as tech savvy. The dim sum selection is mainly shrimp.
Kanae Malbrough
They don’t do the cart right now due to covid but their menu is with QR code and you can order online for dine in and pay with cards or cash as you are leaving. Menu is with pictures, so it is easy to order :) their Dim Sum is soooo delicious!!
Anya Gessesse
Food was good, dim sum is not my thing but wanted to try this. Was very very hard to get a cup of water or really any help at all. Everything was definitely very dirty but it did not ruin the experience. The green beans were amazing would recommend
Ryder Bell
Definitely not the best dim sum place around (definitely would rather go to Jade Garden across the street). All the food options that we ordered were pretty bland. Wasn't too expensive, but probably wouldn't come back.
stan yu
Solid dim sum restaurant with all the classic dishes available. Perfectly made wu gok and beef ho fun among many other dishes.
Ken Wrobel
So yummy! We got to experience new flavors we've never had before. Shrimp worth cilantro dumplings, honey shrimp with walnuts, and scallops with mushrooms. Service was excellent and friendly.
David Levy
This restaurant has such a warm, friendly atmosphere they are really practicing safety during this time. They take temperatures at the door and everyone is seated far apart and they still make you feel at home. And the food is amazing! Its delicious and very rarely can you find such high quality at such good prices. I cant thank the staff enough for the excellent service
Indy Villagarcia
Locals love it, tourists love it, I loved it. I loved it so much I went for lunch and dinner on the same day. Best if you can share dim sum with a group. Generous portions won't disappoint. Kind service and nice touch of pots of tea, free, at your table.
Jen H.
Fast, efficient service. Good assortment of dim sum offerings. The Shrimp and Duck Meat dumpling is an unique one to try. Egg tarts are fresh and tasty snack-bite sized. Fresh sautéed veggies. The pan fried sesame shrimp and chive cakes are the best!

Was looking for a late night meal. Quality of dim sum was excellent. This is a no frills place bit if you want great dim sum this is it

I’m surprised I haven’t written a review for Harbor City because I think they have some the best dim sum in Seattle. Most recently I visited on a Monday morning after ordering online. It was really easy to order some dim sum from their online ordering website. It made it really simple to just show up and give my name. It did take them a little longer than the 20 minutes they quoted, but I think it’s because they did not have many orders yet and had to make a bunch of stuff fresh. I ordered har gow, char siu bao, gai bao, egg tarts, eggplant with fried shrimp, and turnip cakes. Everything was fresh and tasted great. They provided the sauce for the eggplant with fried shrimp on the side as well so the shrimp wouldn’t get soggy. I recommend Harbor City without reservations for dim sum.
Melanie Tam
Great dim sum spot! So much so that we came here twice on our trip. Service is slow though, so just be sure you're not in a rush to get anywhere. On our first visit, we came on a Sunday at 9 and it was still pretty empty. We ordered the usual suspects - shumai, shrimp dumplings (my fiancé said it might be the best ha gow he's eaten because of how thin and smooth, yet sturdy the ha gow skin was and I'm inclined to agree), steamed spare ribs, chicken rice, beef rice rolls, and egg tarts. We had to ask for the beef rice rolls several times before we actually got them but it was worth the wait. The rolls are plump with beef. Actually, most of the dim sum pieces are a nice size (at least compared to the ones in NYC).
Our second visit was on a Tuesday morning when we made a quick stop here before our flight home. We ordered some of the same dim sum again, and we ordered a sesame chicken and Amoy style rice noodles to go, so that we’d have lunch on the plane. We ate it a few hours later but it was still good. And the portions were HUGE. At least the noodles. We had enough for dinner too. My only gripe was the slow service situation. We ordered the to-go dishes as soon as we sat down so that it would be ready by the time we were done eating. But they didn’t even start making it until we asked how much longer it would be. We still made it to the airport with time to spare at the lounge, but still. Like I said, if you do decide to come here, just make sure you ain’t got nowhere else to be afterwards.

Great dim sum food. Wait was surprisingly fast for 6 people in the middle of a Saturday lunch (about 10ish minutes). Bill came to about $17 after tax and tips, and it was for a lot of food. Old school dim sum cart style. Will come again.
Wayne J
The best dim sum going!! I didn't realize Harbor City was open for dim sum so early, but at 8:30 AM I was enjoying my favorite sticky rice, steamed dumplings and baked barbeque buns. I also ordered the steamed scallop dumplings that were simply amazing!!
The staff are a little on the short side when it comes to conversation, but they are about the business of getting the dim sum carts around.
The dim sum service consists of a steamed cart, a fried cart and pastry type cart as well as the ability to order from the menu. Another dim sum option is the sticky fried rice that is very tasty!
The food is right, the price is right, the place is right!
Another one of my definite go to spots!

We are recent transplants to Seattle and have heard about "Team Jade Garden" and "Team Harbor City." Having had a really good dining experience at Jade Garden we decided to come here around New Year 2023 for dim sum.
The differences are stark. First of all, almost all of the dim sum came lukewarm to the table. The xiaolongbao (usually don't order at dim sum, but kids love it) is clearly frozen and reheated. The veggies are also cold (weird that they can't be bothered to reheat it). The wonton noodle soup and congee were piping hot and passable.
I spent the greater part of the last decade or so in New York City and was spectacularly disappointed in Harbor City. I speak fluent Mandarin having grown up abroad so it's also not a race issue. The food is simply bad and there's not a great excuse for it.
The only silver lining is that we had 2 portions of 3 dim sums because the servers were confused apparently.
Will not return. Jade Garden was miles better.
Mario Santos
Food is great. They are always super busy, so not the most attentive staff. Decor is worn, but in line with relatively low prices.
John Chen
Grew up in Hong Kong, yet to find decent dim sum in Seattle. The shrimp dumpling is the bar. The skin needs to be thin, yet doesn’t break when picked up.
Yen
Good dim sum restaurant. The regular waiting time during weekend is about 30 minutes, but worth to wait. They have almost all the dim sum you can think of. Even though I won't say this is an outstanding dim sum, it's good enough for satisfying the hunger of dim sum. The service is friendly, they normally would tell you and explain to you what they have on their carts. If the cart just happened didn't have what you asking, the waitress would remember it and bring it to quickly. Good place to step by for dim sum.
Jacob R
I don't know if it's the best dim sum in Seattle, but it's my favorite. I've been coming here for years, and I'm thrilled that they have maintained the same type of quality from when I started coming to now. Still very reasonably priced, there were four of us and we more than filled our table with plates and it came to around $80 after tip. Some of the best dishes, include anything with shrimp, the taro, and the pork buns. Definitely recommend
Tim Simon
The food was decent. There was nothing special about it, but it was tasty dim sum. The atmosphere was slightly above diner style.
Chiemi ChiAmy206
Very popular Chinese restaurant. I went there mid day so I got seating right away. A lot of menu selection to choose from and everything looked so good. Luckily, my friend knew this restaurant very well, she recommended some great dishes. Everything was good including the service. Street parking only. Good for groups, family, everyone.

Easily the best dim sum restaurant in the International District and even possibly Seattle. Just walking around the area you notice that there are other dim sum restaurants however this was only one that was beyond packed where the wait was quite a while so I knew I had to go eat here. I did not regret the food it was very fresh and I love the push carts and how it brings back childhood memories
Tiffany Chou
Amazing dim sum! My parents and I got there around noon on a Saturday and it was maybe a 45 minute or 1 hour wait, so we decided to get take-out. That took a while too, which wasn't surprising -- maybe 15-20 minutes. The food was worth it though. We got a ton of dim sum for about $40 -- too much for the 3 of us to eat. It was super fresh and delicious too. I'd absolutely recommend coming here for dim sum. Definitely some of the best dim sum I've ever had!
James Yoon
I've been a loyal customer to Harbor City Restaurant since 2008. Jade Garden used to be known as the most popular dim sum restaurant in Seattle international district. But Harbor City Restaurant took that place since 5 years ago. They also had an expansion by taking over a store right next to it.
I think it is a family owned restaurant. I've seen the same staffs working there more than 10 years.
My favorite dish is Shu Mei. It is the best - I've never had the better Shu Mei than the one from Harbor City. The price has gone up a lot for a consideration of dining in international district.
stephany choi
Always good.
Although I found a short hair in my Pork dumpling, and I am not happy about it, I still like their food and will come back. I hope they pay more attention next time.
G C
We ordered marinate combo (roasted pork, duck, crispy roasted pork belly) and understand why the restaurant was packed on early Saturaday morning. The crispy pork belly did not feel greasy and it melt in the mouth.
hop hop hop
We ordered delivery today - it was a large order. They did a fantastic job, everything was piping hot. They even gave us the delivery crate all the food came in. This was for my birthday, I haven’t had dim sum in months and it really hit the spot. I would totally recommend their take out for anyone missing dim sum.
Sebastian Tien
This is a solid dim sum joint in International District that most locals are familiar with. The best 2 dim sum joints in the close vicinity are Harbor City or Jade Garden, and they are both pretty solid. I wouldn't compare them with the BEST dim sum you're going to get, but it is definitely above average at a pretty fantastic price point (especially comparing to din tai fung).
It's pretty amazing that they serve dim sum daily until decently late at night, i believe around 9PM. The service itself is quite standard, just as you'd expect from an asian restaurant in the international district. No nonsense and quick. I'd definitely come back!
Alex Nguyen
Good place for dim sum! Large menu and friendly service. Food comes out hot ad fast. I think I still prefer jade garden but nevertheless a good dimsum spot in Chinatown.
Ben Jams
You win some you dim sum!
Come here, order a bunch of random stuff, and get your fix. Order more than you can eat and pawn off stomach space to your friends who are also about to food coma. It's all pretty cheap anyways . One thing to note is that the food safety is a "Needs to improve" which is kinda scary but hey, don't think about it LOL
RaeJoon Joon
This is my go-to spot for dim sum nowadays. Great selection and even offers online ordering. Online order that is REALLY EASY to use BTW.
K Aerie
Great place for dim sum!! We went there Sunday night around 8:30pm & it wasn't packed! So the service & food came out fast. Everything seems freshly made, so watch out for the temperature of the food! :) Everything we ordered was yummy & we want to try more stuff! Four stars is because the environment is not the cleanest.
Joanna Sylwester
Highly recommend the eggplant and shrimp, and the pan fried shrimp and chive dumplings with sesame seeds. The restaurant is clean and you order via QR code to make it fairly simple and contactless.
Josephine Schaaf (Florida-Hawaii)
Best dim sum. Ever! The Salt & Pepper Pork is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!
Mofan Sanderson
The food is amazing. I ordered sesame sponge cake at 10pm. They made a completely new batch for me instead telling me they are out. Very nice gesture of the restaurant. Manager is very friendly and helpful too. 10/10 would recommend.
Paul Toh
I got tired of Kau Kau and wanted to try out a new place in Chinatown. I came slightly early and was Glad I did, the place is almost full by 6pm! How good is this place? I forgot to take pics and can only show you the empty plates!!! Super yummy!
Tricia Paskerta
Will DEFINITELY be going back. Amazing flavors and easy online ordering. Love the chicken feet and the lotus sesame balls
Lim Heo
They have really awesome dimsums! I tried three different dimsums: shrimpwith chives, minced pork, shrimp with something. All of them was really good and beautiful! Shrimps were chewy&elastic (I don't know how to describe in Eng...). Minced pork was juicy. And all of them has really thin dumpling skins. In my opinion, here is the best dimsum restaurant in Chinatown, Seattle.
Kelly Finn
My wife and I have just discovered this restaurant and we absolutely love it! We are going back for the second week and have been looking forward to the Dim Sum and Pot Stickers all week! Nice people and great great food!!!
Hunter
This is legit good dimsum at all hours and all around awesome food. Highly recommend anything with duck!
Brian Gomez
The food was very delicious and our waitress was kind and very professional. The wait time wasn’t too long, we left with our bellies happy and full!
Jennifer Torrijos
We had simple dim sum plates and every dish was excellent. We sat safely distanced and all was good. When dining in at the restaurant only bring people in your household since they will not serve groups not in the same household for current health rules.
Adan Raya
Great food. We showed up right before the dinner rush, so we seated right away. Service lacks alittle cause of the language barrier, but that's what makes the experience feel authentic.
Jason Lee
Crazy wait on holidays and weekend lunches, but totally worth it. Service often gets spread thin during busy periods, but really... you're there for the food, aren't you? Definitely worth a trip if you're around the International District! BBQ Pork Fried Rice and Salt & Pepper Shrimp pictured below.
Kharis Catchings
The 5 star rating system is far from adequate when it comes to rating Harbor City. The mid 80s wall paper, the no frills atmosphere, greasy windows, paper signs in a language I don't know but happy to see, to the murky fish(?) tanks on the way to the restrooms, the juxtaposition of the "one of the best restaurants in Seattle" award to the "Needs Improvement" King County Health Dept rating, to the lines of people waiting to get in, and employees who understand just enough English to take your order and give you your check.... The rating system doesn't cime close to what Harbor City is: a gem that needs to be saved from gentrification or a place we allow the ills of the Emerald City swallow without so much as a whimper?
An expansive menu that has something for everyone: from Gen Tso's chicken, to dim sum, duck, pork, fried rice, chicken feet, to blood sausage... You get the Full Monty!
It feels like a place Anthony Bourdain would love.
Tracy Welker
Came here for a work lunch, about ten of us. This was my first time trying dim sum and it was a great experience. Lots of different things to try. My team even tried chicken feet! Lots of fun (and more approachable dishes for the less adventurous palette).
Richard T
Portions are large and the ordering system was all remotely done with people at the table all able to add at a given time. Traditional fare with some experimental dishes which were interesting and also tasty. Love the PNW spin like scallop dumplings.
Anthony D'Amico
Words won't suffice. Lovely staff and people with amazing dim sum. It gets packed for brunch on weekends so be early. Also, be nice to the staff it's busy because it's amazing.
Ricky K
One of the best Chinese places in Seattle. The have dim sum all day and their noodle dishes are pretty good.
Troy MacEachern
I’m already thinking about the sui-mai and the steamed bbq pork buns. It was the largest portion of small hot and sour soup. Disappointed we ate our entire lunch, and didn’t have any left for leftovers. We are already planning our next meal there.
Jim Green
Basic interior but very good service order by scanning. Food was excellent extremely good choice on the menue
A. T.
One of the best in Chinatown and if you go often enough they remember your exact order so you don't even need a menu. Love this ID staple!
Mr. Montero
The food here is amazing have been here a few times and had such a great time. This last time I went I got bad service and had to ask the waitress for my food after waiting for over 20 Mins witch is not normally the case the service in the past has been good so I hope I just caught the waitress on a bad day. But the foods soo good I'll be back
Emma Sullivan
Went in for dine in for the first time since Covid and it was seamless. They took our temperatures at the door, had us sign in w contact info (a system for sterilized/used pens) and then we sat in the dining room far away from any other guests. Menu was via QR code on the phone.
A bit unfamiliar to order dim sum off a menu rather than off carts but we could still get everything we wanted and it was SO FRESH AND YUMMY. Wow. Reminded me what I'd missed out for months.
Order the custard steamed buns for dessert (if you still have room, that is).
Will definitely be back soon.
Jennifer Larsen
2.5 stars. It had been a year and a half or so since I've been here. When you walked in it's hard to miss the health department posting of needs improvement (the lowest rating); not something that makes you want to eat there. The overall restaurant uncleanlinessmade it difficult to sit down. The food is okay and like most places service is terrible right now. I'm not sure if that's from the pandemic short staff or simply that their service is bad. At least 70% of the tables had issues with the no service app ordering- the app could use more work. Disappointed that this place has gone downhill.
Akita Shrestha
We self order on the phone after scanning the QR code and the server brings out the food and you pay at the front. Just in case if server don’t have time to explain that. Good food though.
Rachel Cembranelli
Amazing Dim Sum
Shrimp rice roll is the best
Jason Brown
2022 - Fantastic food and one of the last places in Downtown Seattle to get a full restaurant meal for two under $30. We love this place.
Daphne Kongaika
Been coming here for years so the staff is always accommodating and nice. We love the dim sum here.
Eric Ringger
Convenient and delicious. We had to park up the hill asking South Main, since there was nothing available near the restaurant, but it was a short walk.
Phoebe
my favorite dim sum in Seattle!! My partner and I always have a feast, and our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs so we have enough food for multiple meals. You definitely get a lot of food for your money.
Tucker Chandler
I have lived in Seattle 90% life and I have been to many of the Chinese restaurants in the International District. I have been going to this specific restaurant for so long I can't even remember when I first started going on a regular basis. I now live in Lake Stevens and it is harder to get down there as often as I would like. When I first started going it was a small hole in the wall place that had very little seating. Now it is double the size but the service and food are still the same great thing I have come to love and expect from them. It's great food, you can get the very Americanized Chinese classics but you can also get the more authentic foods as well. It has a good blend of everything you could want at very affordable prices. You also get lots of food for your money as well. My wife and I make a special trip there whenever we can. While you are there you should also take time to check out the Wing Luke Museum and the Pinball Museum. Both are just a short walk from the restaurant. Making for a good full day of fun.
Dan Lam
We went to Harbor City for lunch. There was no waiting. There were a lot of people there. The food was great. Some people in our group like the food better than Jade across the stree and other like Jade better. You have to try for yourself. I like the Dim sum at Jade but I think the atmosphere in Jade is better
Julie Mounts
Wow! Now THIS was fun and worth the lengthy wait for a table. It was crowded and chaotic at the door (a waiting area much too small for the amount of traffic they had) but once we (3 people) were seated I had breathing room and relaxed a bit. We chose 11 different items, from the carts the waitresses brought around, and I liked all but 2 items. It was hot, fresh, flavorful, aromatic and we were stuffed by the time we called it quits. We had enough take home for another person to fill up on. Cost was about $65, total. Very affordable, very yummy, very fun!
Thomas Le
Food was good but the service took a long time compared to the dim sum around the area
Samwise Fouts
Great portions and prices. Almost too beautiful to eat.... Almost!
Silvia Y
It's cheap Chinese food so I knew what to expect but they're very heavy handed with the msg. I don't mind a little msg but they used enough that somehow the salt&pepper tofu and spicy popcorn chicken tasted the same. That made it hard to get through even a quarter of the dishes and needed to drink LOTS of water
Renee Cassidy
First time for dim sum.... it was very good, however, next time we want to go with more people so we can try more items ;)
Ed Wirkowski
This place is great! The use a digital menu that make the ordering process so easy when you are dining with a group. The portions are generous and the flavors are authentic. I'll be back the next time I'm in Seattle.
Cindy sh63
An authentic place too eat. Fried rice was good, egg rolls hot and yummy, BBQ honey pork delicious, Peking roasted duck fantastic. It's loud, it's busy, the wait staff is all about business and we left full.
Brenna Belletti
Delicious Dim Sum! A bit of a wait on a Sunday around noon, but well worth it. :)
Duy Huynh (Arthur)
Best dim sum in ID. Don't go to the overrated Jade Garden across the street. I laugh at the crowd that gathers over there knowing that I'm about to have a better meal and service than them. Larger portions here! The shumai and har gow actually have noticeable bits of shrimp and meat in them so you know it's not just flour and mush like other places. Deep fried bean curd is a must. Just ask for it and they'll bring a fresh one out.
Peter Verbrugge
Simply the best for dim sum and any kind of authentic Chinese food. Great staff- love the older gentleman who serves up the bbq meats and roasted duck at the front counter. No frills or overcharged fancinesd here- its the real deal where the Chinese come to eat. I have been going for 20 years, *****.
Glen C
The best dim sum restaurant I've ever been. I went at 10:30a and it was already packed. Food was delicious and hot, service was super fast, ordered everything at the table with my phone and everything was perfect. Will definitely return!
Zack D.
Great price, always get the chicken feet. Also love ha gao shrimp and congee w/ century egg
Heinrich H
the food was a bit more expensive than other, similar places nearby, but you get what you pay for - the food was tasty, and they give a lot of it). having said that, the dishes (2/4 cups and 2/2 plates) and table were grimy (and so was the can of diet coke that i got o.Ô), and the service was awful. the place wasn't crowded, but we (2 of us) waited about 45 minutes between ordering and getting food, and the wait staff acted like they didn't know what we ordered until we asked them to get our order. if we could get food to go in a reasonably short time, it would be worth it.
M. Wade Helton
Great food at decent prices. Cleanliness and service are a little lackluster. Had a ‘needs improvement’ rating from the health department. But if you can overlook that, they have some pretty tasty Dim Sum
lura delaney
Amazing food! Chinatown has such an amazing vibe!! Definitely coming back here on my next visit to Seattle
Brandon
Visited Seattle from Chicago and a friend insisted on taking us to Harbor City. We would later find out from multiple other locals that this was an excellent choice.
Chicago is no stranger to authentic Chinese cuisine and dim sum. But everything we ate at Harbor City had something extra that made it better than anything I'd ever had elsewhere.
The har gow, ha cheung, siu mai, chicken feet, beef tripe, and beef meatball were all excellent. There were some items I usually order that I would've liked to try but we were too full. The food came out hot, the textures and flavor were all perfect. Service was prompt and attentive.
To date, Harbor City holds the title for the best dim sum I've ever had. But I will keep searching for better.
Irish De Marco
Good food but the food doesn’t come out in order you ordered:(
Michael Law
Most of their food are really good and affordable, waiters are always friendly . It would be better if they can have more waiters since there are too many customers. It is a joy to eat here.
Joshua Atwood
Was a good place that is hidden away the oysters are amazing. the dim sum is good as well just a little different from our usual place.
Cloudia C.
Service is typically “bad” for Chinese restaurant esp the way they arrange the seating and queuing. Food is ok though.
Meelendra Singh
Great food, solid prices and excellent quantity. Better to go with 3-4 people to order more dishes.
Nhy Le
The food was authentic and delicious but the service wasn't as good as the food. When we asked for a paper menu and water, we were yelled at :(.
Gina M Bello
Best Dim Sum experience! Great price and easy ordering. Appreciated the COVID safety protocols; we were able to order online for our dine in experience to keep interactions minimal. The menu had a lot of options but great to have pictures and descriptions on the menu. Staff was busy but always attentive to our needs.
Joseph Tan
Dirty.
Servers aren't always smiling or cheerful but they're busy.
They've gone to online menu and ordering.
Crystal Fierro
We arrived early for a Sunday brunch...good thing!!! This place is so busy that you should be prepared for a wait. You order all your food by an app at the table. Pretty nice system since it frees up waitstaff and reduces mis-ordering. The food was amazing!!! We ordered extra and brought it on our evening flight with us. It was too good to leave behind.
킴애릭
Hacao and orange beef is good! Dry seafood noodle was not that good.
Media Reign
My go to spot for simple meals any day of the week. Their selection is so large you could eat here every day of the month and never order the same item. While you may not want to eat every item on the menu, I learned the hard way, they have the selections.
The place isn't large but medium sized with many tables for 4 or more people. You will see families gathered at round tables sharing all kinds of yummy plates.
The workers are elder ladies but they are so nice and hard working you can help but leave a proper tip. When you come in they will do everything in their power to make the time to get you in. It might take then a while but you can tell they really care about their customers.
I often order their walnut prawn and various dim sum. So so so good. The prawns are great as a dessert type food since it's sweet, but also not as bad as a full plate of ice cream or cake. When I want a sweet, bring on the honey walnut.
The other day I ordered ginger fish. Oh boy was it good, not great. The price was great. I even had enough for lunch the next day. Of course I had more that the ginger fish. My bill stays 30 to 60 depending if I'm with a date. I can't help but order so much food when I come. Not their fault. And I always have left overs for lunch so it works for me.
Dora Li
Been eating here off-and-on for 2 years now for their dim sum and it's always delicious. As far as placing and picking up your order, your experience will vary but also use common sense: day before/after and on a holiday, it's going to be busy so expect that. If you call in place the order, it's probably going to take a few tries before your call goes through (usually busy signal) cause this is a popular place, but good news is that ordering through UberEats is available.
Sophia Dang
Food was delicious! Ordered so much food with my favorites being the barbecue pork buns and soy bean stir fry. Got pretty busy but the wait time is not long. My experience with takeout from here was not the best, so I would prefer dine-in over takeout.
Nicholas Phillips
Amazing Dim sum and the price is reasonable.
Opens at 0830 and the staff are very helpful.
Simon Ellis
Great food in general. Have eaten here quite a few times. Love their steamed chicken feet, their fried "calamare" with garlic (it's called something else) chicken with black bean sauce. Also, they make a good Wonton soup. The decor isn't great, but the food is good.
Curtis Himel
Had some evening dim sum, which was good but not superlative. But it was reasonably priced and available in the evening. Will consider trying other items next time.
Mark Kingston
Less than $25 per person, good food and ok service.
Dylan
Some of the most delicious steamed pork baos in the International District. Great for brunch on weekends.
steve Okimoto
Really delicious Dim sum! Had to wait a bit to get a table but worth the wait. They're good, fast, no wonder so many are going!
Ryan Hamill
One of my favorite places to go with coworkers. Fast and amazing food. Prices are great too. Was able to seat 7 of us in under 5min at lunch time.
Alexander Inthavong
The was great but miss the traditional cart that comes by. Fresh made to order is just as delicious 😋 …
Aaron Book
Very delicious! The online ordering made things very quick and easy. Very worth the wait.
Shelley C.
Super yummy dumplings! One of my new favorite restaurants in Seattle!
Sawyer Hanners
I have gone here since I originally moved to Seattle. This place will always be a favorite of mine. Their food tastes wonderful and I will definitely keep coming back.
Alex A
Order from your phone. Scan a QR code when you are seated. We didn't know, and ended up getting our food pretty late after watching someone else do it. The waiter didn't speak English and pointed to code on wall. I thought he was just pointing to the code for the online menu. In their defense it does say to order online, but I didn't know how true that statement was. The online menu does have an add to cart button, but the site itself wasn't too intuitive.
Food was pretty good. We ordered the usual dim sum and some full dishes as well.
3 stars was for cleanliness. <...took out the details...> With that said, yes I can look past it all and still eat a meal.
Overall, I'd go back. :)
Daniel Tuttle
Love this place. I've had dim sum her before. This visit was part of a food tour with the Wing Like Museum. We had two amazing dishes
Victor Huang
Food was okay, some of the sweet dishes was good. But many of the dishes we got were lukewarm, which made me feel like they have been sitting around for a while
John Pentakalos
Best Dim Sum I’ve had outside of Hong Kong. They’ve got a gigantic menu, although I’ve only tried the dim sum and vegetables section. Highly recommend the egg custard although I think it’s usually gone by dinner time. Also worth noting they give a 10% discount on takeout orders over $50.
Tiffany Su
The best dim sum place in Seattle. Everytime I am in town I have to stop by this place. Nothing like them. Staff is a also friendly and helpful.
Chris Norman
Went for the Dim Sum. They checked to see if we were vaccinated before searing us. They didn't provide a menu. I had to download it to my phone. Kept asking if we were ready to order while we were still looking at the menu. After we got our food not 1 check to see if we needed anything. Took several minutes to get anyone's attention to get the check. The Dim Sum was ok, but I've had better.
Andrea Wu
Came here on a weekday afternoon around 1PM for dim sum lunch, not many people around. QR code for menus but we asked for an actual one, which was outdated and didn't have a lot of items. We noticed there's wifi so we asked for the password and looked up the actual menu. We got:
- shrimp rice roll: not very balanced shrimp vs rice roll; rice roll was really thick, soy sauce that came with it was diluted
- beef stomach: good flavor, a bit crunchy, pretty tasty
- bean curd wrap: good balance of meat and vegetables, bean curd was good, a bit glutinous
- fried taro puff: came out cold, taro lining was hard, not very tasty at all
- turnip cake: came out hot, on the oily side, soft but tasty
- sesame balls: came out cold, chewy though
Food was okay in general, all this came out to be around $34 post-tax. I had Honey Court's dim sum down the street and that was much better, would recommend that spot over this, mostly because the food here was hit or miss based on whether it was fresh / hot.
Generous Yeh
Chinatown has so many dim sum spots it's hard to pick one. Harbor City is a safe bet. My main complaint is that the siu mai does not have shrimp or roe and if it does, it's very minimal. It's mostly a pork dumpling here as opposed to the shrimp and roe typically. However, I think they might have shrimp siu mai? I do see it in other images so I'd have to take a peek at the menu again.
Har gow/xia jiao were my favorite here. They're near the top for me in general for dim sum, but they were fairly large pieces and the shrimp was just really good, not sure what made it stand out but I knew it was above average from my first bite.
Steam Beaned Curd Roll were thick and full, larger than most others. You get three with an order though instead of four, but they are larger.
Steamed BBQ Pork Buns were pretty standard, nothing exceptional. Regardless, you know cha siu baos are always good.
Josephine Schaaf
Authentic, tasty and friendly service.
Leo Liu
Super good and tasty dimsum! You cannot go wrong with this place! Give it a try please!
Bianka Haro
Service is excellent, food is well priced, quality of food is top tier!
Renee P
Great dim sum and service. Staff was attentive and friendly. Everything tasted great and had a good variety.
Christina Hart
Always a favorite since it got me hooked. The only problem is calling orders in, ( Tacoma and Seattle location) it really doesn't exist cause they take their phone off the hook! Needs more customer service people that understand English.
Elizabeth Nguyen
The food is absolutely delicious and the service is quick! The only downside is that their waitlist system is just people writing their names on paper, so mistakes are easy to make. They ended up seating 2-3 parties ahead of us that actually came in after we did and we had to tell them that they missed three parties on the sign up sheet. Otherwise, the place is great and we will be returning!
Kayla W
Delicious late night meal. I've been a customer for years and the only change is the time. They do have dinning in right now and also do take out. I was able to place my order at the counter and someone brought it out to my car which was awesome. For $50 dollars I was able to buy few dim sum items and a whole duck. It fed my family of 6 with left overs. The flavors are great and the food was extremely fresh. Roast duck is always flavorful and juicy. Customer service has always been great as well. My wait was under 10 minutes and I arrived 15 minutes before 11 PM. I'm ever so thankful that they are available to people during these times and still work as hard as they always have... If you are thinking of giving them a visit I definitely recommend that you give them a try they do not disappoint.
Charley Wang
The new QR code menus are great. Wasn't sure whether to pay at front or talk to server, ended up asking server for check.
Really good roast duck.

Local favorite dim sum restaurant, Hong Kong style push cart,
man ohman
Dim Sum Yum! I've been coming to Harbor City since it first opened. I am happy to report that the same quality in both food and service have remained rock solid. Nice people, generous portions, fair prices. I've tried several dim sum restaurants in Puget Sound and Harbor City remains at the top of my list for "Best"
Gordon Stewart
Nothing special. Too many other awesome restaurants in the to settle for mediocre food. Your friend was in town and chose this place we tried it out it was fine but not as good as restaurants I've been to before in the area. And we were staying in a hotel so we didn't want to take the leftovers home, and I'm not kidding when I say they forced us to take the leftovers. So we just threw it in the trash when we left outside.
Alyshia Vogt
Food was excellent, long wait to get a seat, restaurant was dirty and has a notice from public health saying it needs to improve.
W. White
This is my favorite Dim Sum restaurant. We drive down from Everett to eat here and we really missed this during the pandemic closures. The inside dinning is safe space distance, the food is still great and you will have to wait in line for a table. I LOVE that they add QR Code Target at each table for placing the order and seeing a picture of each item. I'm not Chinese so having the pictures is a GREAT HELP. As always, I'll return for more eating pleasures. Thanks for making the improvements.
Donovan Patar
The food is tasty. The selection of dim sum is above average for the area. The establishment is clean and the staff is courteous.
This is the best dim sum in the Seattle area. This is classic service. They bring prepared food out to see if you want it, and they know what you want. The price is modest too.
Everything to love and nothing to lose. Keep it up Harbor City!
Paula E
Favorite dimsum in Seattle. There's always a line outside to get in but worth the wait. Food is delicious. The staff, the servers and everyone that works there are amazing. We love this place, even if our drive is an hour away, one way. So worth it.
JUDITH LIDGUS
Very good tasting food. We would have liked hard copy menus. It was awkward to order from a phone with a group of people. We would return because the food was worth it. Thank you.
Falling Snowflake
Great food as always, but the wait times were extremely long because the system wasn't clarified. My family went there to eat and stood outside 1.25 then saw a couple that was waiting in line an should have been behind us, go in before us, then we found out we had to write.our names on a list, and they called you in. We had no idea so we could have gotten in much sooner, (it would be great if they clarified this!) Once we got inside the building they did temp. checks and offered hand-sanitizer. We ended up waiting quite a while to order food, but once we ordered it, it came out quickly. They can't do Dim Sum so they are struggling a little with adjusting to traditional restaurant edict. I absolutely loved the food though, hope their system gets better!
Molly Bartlett
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. Incredible made to order dim sum at all times. I highly recommend the deep friend shrimp ball with cheese and the scallop dumplings, but everything I’ve ever had here is delicious.
Amy Pierce
This is one of our frequent stops. We find the food to be consistently good. The service is slow sometimes, but we're willing to wait. And they always bring us fresh tea when we ask. The dim sum is good and is a menu item, so you can get it any time.
Tucker Flood
As a guy who grew up on frickin' good dim sum, Harbor City hits close to my heart. A pandemic favorite because of the cheap plates and ease of take-out for steamed dishes, Harbor City blows it out of the water with flavorful and authentic dumplings of all stripes and excellent Chinese fair that's (just) accessible without feeling pandered to. I've yet to go for lunch, though I have high hopes, but on the occasions that I throw down for dinner and drive over to pick it up I find myself with more than a few meals of delicious dumplings and high quality Chinese fair for what I consider a standard-delivery-dinner price.
Never change, Harbor City.

Parking is kind of ridiculous, no wait time, clean tables/restaurant, and the food was excellent. Just hated looking at a menu on my phone after scanning a deal on the wall and my waiter never checking on us. I mean our order came up fast, we were served by someone else, and it seemed like after flagging another employee down for a "to go" box our server magically showed up long enough to provide a smile and our bill with suggested tip amounts (in inaccurate percentages/amounts to the houses favor by 3%). I'd eat here again for sure though.
Victoria Montgomery
Nice big menu, a bit of a wait but once we were seated and ordered the food came in not too long of a time. Loved the mapo doufu, will come back soon.
Rubin Reviews
What I look for when trying dimsum places is (1) whether they have a line waiting to get a table and (2) who are in line. This place did have a line and had multi-generation families waiting to get in. This for me is a good sign. The wait wasn’t that bad considering it was saturday brunch. Ordering was somewhat complicated as it had to be done through an app. Gone where the days you can just look and point to what you want but hey…I will take what I can get. Food was good and the servers were friendly despite being so busy. Will definitely try again if I find myself in Seattle.

I went to Harbor City Restaurant with friends today and It was a great experience. I asked about the fish with ginger and the waitress said was a great dish and I will like for sure so I choose it. Every one choose a different dish on the menu, I was surprised with faster and the amount of food on each dish, we shared the food and all dishes was incredible delicious. My dish was great! You can feel the Freshness and tasteful on all dishes. I was impressed! The Waitress check with us if everything was okay and make me feel comfortable at the time that I as asked for a for. "Sorry it's just me doing better with forks" LOL. The owner came and talk with us, he is a great person. He knew one of my friends and spend some time with us sharing some live events, was great to get so many attention. At the and every one get a free delicious ice cream. How to not recommend this place!? Also the price was so little....My experience was really good and I definitely encourage anyone to stop by and enjoy the restaurant with the old Chinese style, great music and great food.

huge menu with lots of delicious choices ! my friend and I went for dim sum and really enjoyed the honey garlic beef, daikon cakes, and custard buns.
Jessica Henn
Went for dim sum and got a variety of dishes. Everything was delicious! There was a wait, but it was very worth it!

Best dim sum ever! I always make it a destination whenever I have people visiting from out of town. Mostly everyone who works here is nice. The food is exceptional and authentic!
Rob Reid
Our meal was quite good. My 83 YO mother, who isn't a fan of "foreign" food, couldn't stop talking about how good it was.
One downside was that they want you to order via an app. I'm not sure what the point of that is. And it was really loud.

The food were okay in my opinion. The service was very nice. They kept bringing and offering our tables dishes. We chose some of them, and it was convenient to have dishes that we wanted ready and available. The bill was not that easy to understand since it was handwritten. It was hard to keep track of what we ordered too since the servers just kept offering foods and stamping. My relatives who live locally recommend another restuarant for Chinese food. For the dim sum, I think this place is okay to try since it is within walking distance to pike place market and the aquarium.

We stopped in after a day of sightseeing and this place did not disappoint! Every dish we tried was a hit with the entire table. We got Orange Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Soy Chow Mein, Pot Stickers, BBQ Pork Buns, Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce, and Shrimp Dumplings. We'll definitely go here again next time we're in Seattle!
Andrew Travis
Great place. Food was excellent. Enough space for a bigger party if you want to. Will be back again soon

Oh my God! The food was amazing I ordered through Uber eats and when the food arrived it was still warm and the peking duck that I got was so juicy and it wasn't dry and the buns were nice and soft and fresh and I got pork steamed buns too and they were delicious and the green beans were so fresh and still crunchy and not soggy . Absolutely love it I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Been here twice, the first time in Nov 2020 everything was super fresh and tasty, second time in Aug 2021 many dishes from the dim sum menu were not fresh and some were not enough reheated.
The service was good, but it may have been because we were speaking their native language.
Adam Mesa
I’ve had better. I wouldn’t recommend this dim sum spot. The food is ok. They don’t leave out the vinegar so you have to request it. You also have to request water or they’ll leave you dying of thirst. Not bad, but they could do better.
Mayo
💯 dimsum. I love the chong, chicken feet, and egg tarts! The sampan congee is awesome to share too. Radish cake is soo good too, but make sure you're sharing because it's greasy …
Riley Brandau
Went here with a large group of people (15+) on a Thursday evening. We had a reservation due to the size of the group, and we we're split between two adjacent tables so that sharing was easy.
Our server gave us a family style menu (in addition to the normal menus), which we ended up ordering off of. While it was good, it was more of a Chinese food experience than a dim sum experience. So if you're looking for dim sum, don't order off of the family style menu.
annie chen
Love the dim sum! Ordered 18 plates for 7 ended in $125, pretty satisfied with the quality! Recommend any dish has shrimp in it, the baked bbq bun, and dishes that are limited.
Daphne Kasprzak
Enjoyed the food...wish there was more of us sonwe could have tried more stuff
Carolyn C
...not fancy (which is preferred!); serves some of the best dim sum in Seattle
Wei Zhong Tee
Really good dim sum. Was only supposed to come once on my trip but ended up going back again because it was really good. The first time I went on a weekend and I had to wait 40 minutes for a table. The second time I went was on a Tuesday and I was seated immediately, so try to go on a weekday.
Norlaila Toulas
I love their dim sum. We only eat seafood dishes but their seafood tastes fresh. Their dim sum is also bigger in size than other dim sum places I've been to. Weekday mornings are best because parking is easy to find and it's not packed. Good luck on the weekends. There's always been a wait when I came on the weekend as it's very popular.
Yen-Linh Nguyen
Always take my friends here for dim sum and none has not loved it ever. Line is long in the morning and don't expect too much from the service- they are busy and zip around too fast so you have to know what you want and flag them down when you need something. Really good peking duck, har gow, and chicken feet. They pack their dim sum with meat and shrimp. Their non-dim sum food has never appealed to me though, noodles and fried rices and deep fried meats wasn't great.
Jerry Yoon
5 stars to Chef Ming!!! Har Gaw (shrimp dumplings) was excellent and very close in quality to dim sum places in Hong Kong. I wasn't expecting much from the siu mai (pork dumplings) given pork in the US is not as fresh and tasty as in Asia but was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Beef noodles was not greasy and my kids loved it. This place is 1000x better than Din Tai Fung in U-Village and Bellevue. Service is also very good.
jake reis
Best Dim Sum in Seattle. Been going there for years. Make sure you try the chicken feet.
Daniel C
Wonderful dim sum. As soon as you sit down you are accosted by three cart- pushing women with more food than you can imagine. It's great to do in a group. I've been eating there for several years. The shumai and shrimp dumplings are my favorite but it's all delicious. Well worth the visit.
Kaywai.
Excellent food.......you might not find the environment fancy but the food makes up for it all.
Kathleen Scurlock
Dim sum has changed, no longer the cart... You need to order from the menu which is activated using a QR code... So take your phone with you!
The food was absolutely incredible!
Macsen W.
Dishes are only warm... Some are even cold... All stir fry dishes taste the same
Andy Leto
Tourist here. Early lunch dim sum was delicious and fast; Had everything ready in a pushing cart. Dinner was good also, good quantity and quality for the price, good dessert. Highly recommended for anyone looking for Chinese food with home-y feel. Customer services was also super good!
Arun khazanchi
Food is good, authentic Chinese but the place needs a make up as interiors have tired out and looks kind of worn out.
Fengbo
Great dinner sum place, the chicken feet, crab Dumplings, and BBQ pork pastry are really good.
Richard Averill
Little strange, they have you login and order on line with online menu. They don't give you a menu. Easy to over order but foods great so all worked out. BBQ duck and pork also is available to go by the pound.
Vics
Wow! This place is a gem! Why haven't I been here before? The dim sum is great and the people are super nice! The fried dough with rice wrapper was so good I didn't mind they don't have the traditional peanut sauce for it... There would be an extra star though if they did have the peanut sauce though ;)
Andrew Pang
Having a good authentic dim sum experience during the pandemic is tough but I'm glad that in regards to taste this place is still up there in quality. It has a family owned atmosphere that I can't find elsewhere. Will return again!
Christi
Pretty good food, service a little slow though. Food came out plate by plate over a 30 min span. But the waitstaff was still pretty nice, once you could get their attention.
Overall I think this place is best for dim sum. You can order dim sum anytime too, which is great, but it's still best at lunch if you want it fresh and fast.
Sheraz Malik
One of the best place for dim sum. Though These days verity is little less and service is slow (covid time) but taste is def. Still Good.
Amy Wyant
Great food. Great prices. Friendly staff.
Jerome Sirmans
Super busy. Many restaurants in the area but none as busy as this one. The wait to get in was 20 minutes so we walked around looking for other places to eat while waiting.
We canvassed 4 city blocks and not a single other business had people lined up outside in the cold. Others had good crowds but this crowd was formidable.
Upon being seated and selecting our food items, the quality became abundantly clear. The food was stupendous. Everything was incredible. The tea was the best tea I had all year. The dumplings, sweet bread, steamed rice.... let's simplify things: if you have a bad experience here, it's you and not the food or the service.
Loved it here and so did every person around our group. 10 out of 10. 5 out of 5.
Holden Wilkinson
One of my favorite dim sum/chinese places. Their menu is absolutely massive. For example they have about 5 to 10 different types of fried rice alone! Many vegertarian entrees in addition to congee, hot pot, dim sum, chinese, szechuan, fish etc. I am never disappointed going there! When you dine in, you get a nice hot pot of tea, whoch is wonderful in Seattpe winters.
Rob Lisy
Went right at open, so dim sum wasn't crowded. All the standards were there, each was good. Very family friendly atmosphere.
Parker Mazal
This is some of the best and cheapest dim-sum you can have in Seattle.
The service is rather poor and it is tacky that you have to pay for water but I do understand that is a cultural thing. Do not come here expecting a quick meal.
The food is incredible and very cheap. We got about 5 things and it only came to a total of about $30. I would recommend anything with BBQ pork in it.
If you are looking for good dim-sum this place is a must!
Carlos Estrada
A solid dim sum choice! You will leave with at least one favorite dish. The Peking duck with steamed bread was a pleasant surprise and will definitely be back for it. Wait times can be long, just make sure you're on the waiting list!
Parking in the area can be difficult to find so expect to make a few rounds before finding a space. Even worse on weekends.
Jungmin Lee
If you guys haven't been here...you're missing out.
Affordable delicious friendly Chinese restaurant, I want to import this place into Korea haha
Sandra Arnold
Lots of dim sum variety served all day. Easy to order via QR code. With good pictures.
Eddie Guardado
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel one is necessary for Harbor City. If you looked at harbor city from outside you may think it’s a pass because it’s not the cleanest. You would be wrong. It is easily my favorite dim sum restaurant in the city. You can taste the love and effort in the food, and they have all the classics! I hope HC nothing but an eternity of prosperity because it’s hard to find a wholesome experience like HC in Seattle
Pedro Cardenas
Walking in i got the impression that the place would have some okay food. After getting all my food i was astonished by how amazing the food tasted. I would definitely come back. One thing that might bother some people is that they bring out your food when it is done. So if one thing is done they will bring that out and then bring out the next. At least for my first time that's how it went. Didn't bother me though they come out in a good time.
Alexander Wong
Very solid dim sum and Cantonese diner fare. We came on a weekday for lunch and seated immediately as a party of 4. We ate generously and ordered some noodles and veggies off the menu and total before tax was $56. Good value. Service was solid. We asked for the stuff that didn't come on the carts and brought very quickly. Generous portions, too. Recommended.
Audra Spahn
You might wait a little bit for a table, but it's well worth it. The dim sum is delicious and served very fast - employees just go around with a cart and stock your table with goodies. My only warning is that each cart had different options, so it's beneficial to hold off on grabbing too much off the first couple carts trips so you can see what's available.
Jeffrey M. Shiu
First time eating from Harbour City. BEST Chinese in town. Ordered takeaway today, mostly dim sum and some dishes from the main menu, outstanding taste. Drove over from Eastside and food was prepared very timely. We are picky on our Dim sum as we use to live in HK and the food at Harbour City is authentic. Great friendly service too, helpful, courteous and customer oriented. Will be back. Thank you
Ileana Martinez
Incredible dim sum. Got the pan fried daikon cake, eggplant stuffed with shrimp, steamed pork buns, and egg tarts and would come back again for all of them. A great stop if you’re in Seattle!
Anabel Pachano-Arismendi
Good price and delicious food. Service is not so good and place is a little dirty...
amy h
OG style dim sum and with that, service is not their strong suit
Daniel H.
Authentic, affordable, amazing. Get there early to get the best dim sum before they run out. As they come around with the cart it is exciting to just point and get surprised by what dumplings you get. The green beans are fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor.
Oscar Pachano
I will say the food here is great, fantastic place to eat some dim sum with friends and family. It is not the fanciest place around and service can sometimes be a bit on the slow side, but the food is definitely worth it, and their prices are really low!
Jerry Collins
Loved the food and the service at dim sum. Arrived at 9:30 am and were seated immediately. The carts came by fast and furious. Everything was hot and fresh, delicious and inexpensive. For $40.00 had a great brunch and enough takeaway for dinner the next night.
Allan Deutsch
I really enjoyed coming here for the dim sum. There is often a wait, but once you're seated the food keeps coming by on carts for you to choose from. Their pork buns are all excellent, and they have several varieties.
Vera Pham
My favorite go to dim sum, roast duck and pork ☺️
Jonathan Li
Good food but waiters/waitresses are quite aloof and did not provide napkins/utensils until asked.
Kent L
Classic Cantonese dim sum. Decent service and tasty food. It was worth the wait in line. I will be back
Amanda Biderman
Insanely good and for a great price. Impressed with how they handled service during COVID, especially for such a busy place in a busy Seattle area. A great dim sum spot.
Matthew Paik
You won't really have excellent service here, but I don't expect that when I go to dim sum. We come here for the shrimp + cilantro wontons. This dish is so good that it's pretty much all we buy here. It isn't cheap either, but is it good? Absolutely.
E M
My favorite dim-sum in Seattle for years. We always go for breakfast. I always get sticky rice in lotus leaf, dantat(egg tarts) , coconut buns, stir fried pea vines in garlic sauce, fried shrimp dumplings. I can’t wait until covid dies down and they bring their carts back out vs ordering from a menu. For takeout after we are stuffed we still get their bbq pork to eat later.
S.
The portion and seafood/meat that I received were extremely generous. Everything was fresh, delicious, cheap, and honestly the best dim sum I ever had.
Skywalker Feng
One of the best dimsum restaurant in Chinatown Seattle.
Katie G.
I almost hate to give 3 stars since I must have just ordered on an off night (since they have a good rating). I ordered delivery, so I'm not judging on anything else but the contents of my dinner. I ordered the short ribs with asparagus. What I received looked like it was supposed to be short ribs with green beans. I like green beans, but wanted asparagus (and green beans are cheaper). The green beans were overcooked and the short ribs (if they actually were short ribs) were a very awful texture. I would have guessed it was all fat since that was the consistency. Chewy, gummy and really quite awful. I ended up throwing the whole thing away (which I really hate doing). The flavor/marinade seemed like it would've been good, but the meat (?) was so gummy I couldn't do it.
Ed Santos
Food has been pretty consistently good.
Tyrael Tong
My go-to place in Seattle whenever I want some dim sum.
Amy Hoover
Great food with lots of large round tables for big families. We've been here twice for Christmas Eve dinner with 8 to 10 people and order many dishes and have never had a bad one. A few of our favorites are the Peking Duck (of course), salt and pepper pork chops, garlic broccoli, shrimp and pork fried rice. Service is very prompt and efficient. And it's really well priced, We just paid $100 to feed 8 people.
Madeleine Harrison
The food here is really great and the menu is so vast. My favorite part was the General Yoo’s chicken and the pan fried shrimp dumplings. The chicken in its sauce is still crispy and crunchy which was especially impressive to me! It has quickly become my favorite place to eat in the ID. The staff was efficiently, but not incredibly social (which I would expect from a place that gets as busy as this).
Brad Herst
This is one of the best Dim Sum restaurants in Seattle, I've never had a bad dish. Come back and try their menu service for dinner and your mind will be blown. Excellent service and well worth the wait. It's a little pricier than some of the other restaurants in the area so don't be surprised. Always get their baked hombows and shu mi.
Ningyu Wang
6 stars for the place and -1 star for it’s over crowded. It’s quite normal to be waiting at the door for 40+ min at a Saturday noon. Being aware of that, the dim sum here is extraordinarily good and worth the waiting. My favorite are the bean curd dishes. The Chashu is very China and I always bring back home a pound of it after my visit. Just try anything and you won’t regret.
Duy Tran
I usually come here and have dinner with my friends. The noodles with roasted duck is one of my favorite orders. Their services is very good and helpful. The waiter remember my order.
Zack Rock
I was delightfully surprised at the dim sum here! Super yummy fresh menu items! As always, service is super fast and convenient so we could be in and out quickly (why don't more restaurants do it this way?) The food was absolutely exceptional! Great restaurant! Definite two thumbs up!
Lynette Schell
This is, hands down, THE best and most authentic Dim sum experience and food. We have family that ask to go here whenever they fly in town.
Yan
So good. Best Dim Sun I’ve ever had in the states so far. Try their porridge, it’s even better than what I had in China and Taiwan!!
Service is not bad at all. 🤷🏻♀️ Don’t get all those 1 star reviews about “pushy” service. Just say no if you don’t want the dish, they were nice about it. 🤷🏻♀️ …
Victoria B
I’ve been going there for years for dim sum, and it’s never disappointed. Their hot and sour soup is delicious and I dare say downright medicine! The menu is varied and the portions generous.
Mark Radtke
Excellent dim sum. Huge, delicious, elegant dumplings.
Tom Provo
Best Dim Sum in the NW. I have eating Dim Sum for over 30 years. San Francisco, Vancouver BC and used to frequent King Cafe (my old favorite). Very reasonable prices. Authentic Chinese atmosphere so don't expect it quiet and polite. You will get your food and that is their job. We are lucky to have this place in Seattle!!
Cole Lee
It is review for delivery. I ordered three dishes and the fish porridge. Despite the fact that it was an delivery order, the shrimp dumplings and the shaomai were still in good texture. Besides, the porridge was really light. Authentic and every was as good as we expected.
Alex Cantu
Good dim sum, service could be quicker
J Jones
Very busy. You have to use your phone to see the menu....I missed seeing a paper menu with pictures so u get an idea what a receipe is.
You also have to order online which might take any errors of communication away.
Excellent food.
January Y
Dim sum was just so so.
Kriya Velasco
Awesome food! Very crowded on a Sunday (wish more people would just go to their brunch places). Everything we sampled was delicious. For vegetarians, there aren't a lot of options, but we got some greens (I think wan soi) and garlic green beans, which were both lovely. Expect to wait up to half an hour.
Kimo Booth

Best dim sum I have ever had
Kathy Steadman
LOVED this place! We sought this out after reading an article naming it the best Chinese food in Seattle. It beat every expectation! Peking Duck, BBQ pork buns, soy bean noodles, egg rolls, and fried rice were all fantastic. Service was spot on. Food was so fresh! Sesame Balls were amazing!
Ross Perry
Very delicious dim sum! Came to visit during a slow time. No cart service, but just as steamy and hot as if you got it off the cart. Left happily satisfied, highly recommended, would return.
Scott Willis
This is a great spot for dim sum. It's so good, that I wish I spoke Mandarin!
Malcolm Muir
Dim sum experience on a Sunday was not to bad. Food was brought out extremely quick and although we waited 10-15 minutes for a table, we had moments to wait once we sat down before food was in front of us. Try to get a table towards the back (as that is where the carts come out from). BBQ was ok, not the best, but the rest of the dim sum was pretty decent.
Some of the ladies are pretty pushy getting the expensive seafood based items onto your table, but stand your ground if you don't want it.
Sophia Mai
Best dim sum place in town! If you are in Chinatown or near Seattle International District, this place is a must try. It feels very homie to me and the food is super yummy. You can fill your tummy with just $10-$15, which is very inexpensive. Try the crab dumplings 😋😋😋, it's so good you will want to have more. …
Raphael Puletz
So delicious! Best tasting shrimp and Orange beef I've had in Seattle! Very reliable and excellent service. Thank you for being consistent and providing amazingly fresh options.
Jacob Schmitt
We’re Chinese and we go for dim sum a lot so we know our dim sum and this place was above average. Generously sized dumplings, all the favorites like hargow and shu mai, and some unique dishes like panfried shrimp dumplings. My favourite was the stir fried green beans which were a tasty, tender-crispy plateful of garlicky goodness. Definitely will come again. I am so glad we came here when the doors opened at 830 on a Sunday morning. Ate our fill of delicious dim sum for 2 for $37!!
Huy Nguyen
Lots of options of you're a Dim Sum lover. Prices were extremely reasonable.
Mike Ryan
There food is always good. Had humbao
And chicken feet .
Zach Watson
Great food, the place was swarming tonight. The pork crescents had me crawling up the walls and the General Tao’s? Damn that had me buggin!! The food was flying off the walls, I couldn’t have ant-icipated better service. Had to take a star off for the cockroach running up the wall but we took care of it. This food is buzzin, I’ll bee back!
Nick Rusch
A very popular Chinese restaurant on the heart of Seattle's International District. We visited Christmas morning for dim sum. We had a bit of a wait to be seated, but once in side the serving staff was quick to bring tea, water and the dim sum goodness. The staff came around frequently with various offerings that kept our table full. If you have a larger party the round tables have lazy Susan's so everyone can share the small plates.
Corey R
Delicious dim sum! The food safety rating is "okay" . We had the Peking duck and a delicious assortment of dim sum. While it was super delicious, the okay rating just didn't leave me feeling very comfortable about eating there. An okay rating is received when a restaurant makes repeatedly poor food safety errors that leave them in the bottom 10% of all restaurants inspected in that particular neighborhood. Violations can include: not keeping raw meat at required temperatures, presence of insects and rodents, improper sewage or garbage disposal, unsanitary utensils and food surfaces, and more. I would love to give this Restaurant a higher rating but it will need to improve its food safety measures first and foremost!
Xiaoyun Wu
They have the best Dim Sum. The shrimp dumplings and steam pork dumplings. They are really affordable. Love this place. Would go back to try the Peking Duck and some other dim sum.
Andy Yang
Best variety of menu & really delicious food. Order a day early if you plan to have a holiday meal, they were packed last year even for take out.
JaeHee Cho
Loved the fried shrimp ball with cheese. So good.
Dawn B
Wandered in to avoid nasty morning traffic and I am so happy I did. The place really filled up while I was there and I can see why. Their pork sticky buns are the best I've had outside of San Francisco. Their cilantro shrimp dumplings were perfection. I took some of both home to the nephew.
Thim Bäckström
The dim sum was amazing. We ordered without thinking ahead and suddenly we were sitting with 13 plates on 2 people. Ended up eating most of it anyway because it was so good. Just couldn't stop eating.
Alex Kim
Best dim sum in Seattle. Very attentive staff makes this place a plus, as long as you don't mind them stopping by every few minutes to make sure that you have all the food you need. It gets super busy after 10am so plan accordingly.
Kim Wang
I like the part of ordering the food via QR code. It makes the service extremely efficient and fast. The waiting part may be a pain during the peak times but the food was really well worth the wait.
Serina Gee
Cheap but still quality dim sum, especially in city where I feel like there aren't many dim sum options. Everytime I come here I order more than I can finish, and it can be only $10 per person (depending on the size and appetite of your group). I would totally order from here again.
Timothy Ellis
Service is decent but food is fantastic. House special chow mein has a smoky flavor and noodles have a good bounce to it.
K.C. Eames
My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. The food is ridiculously good, they’re all hard working people, and we love one of the servers especially - he’s always greeting us with a smile and jokes, it’s nice to be remembered and treated like a regular. Come with a bigger group so you can try lots of different dishes, there are SO many good ones to try.
Duy Ta
Best Dim Sum I've never had! This is comparing to Houston and Dallas. They actually had some more unique dumplings that I'd never seen before. The toasted sesame seed crusted dumpling and the scallop dumpling were amazing.
Gabe Alvarez
We ate a tremendous volume of food and it was really quite good
Ahda Arifa Ismail
Our new favorite dim sum restaurant. For us who don’t eat pork, this place is a gem. They have lots of seafood and chicken based dim sum and Chinese dish. Huge dim sum size as well, compared to other places within the area.
David Ross
Absolutely delicious and very busy, but they move quickly when there's space available. If you have a larger group, make sure to call ahead. Food hits the table quickly and you're quickly full.
Price is very reasonable, especially when sharing in a group. (On average ~$12-16 per person for lunch in my experience)
L Fong
The table is small to sit 5. Dim selection was good and reasonably priced. You can order things you don't see on the cart when you know these are regular items. Not many places serves Congee but this place does off the menu.
Dim sum in the morning before 1030 is best as this place gets packed then you'll wait to be seated. Parking in the street is 2/hr or 4/hr after 11am.
Joshua Colucci
This place was completely packed when we visited, which is a great sign in my book. After a short wait, we were treated to some of the best dim sum we've had anywhere. Their BBQ buns were so good!
Lisa Chu
Came from NYC and I've been looking for dimsum of the same level and I found it here! Chicken feet, steamed rice rolls with beef and three mushrooms, steamed bbq pork buns (I buy in bulk so I can freeze them and have them whenever I want!) Steam pork dumplings aka siu mai (really good mushroom flavor), shrimp dumplings with cilantro (any shrimp dish is so succulent and fresh!!) Steamed bean curd roll (one of the best I've ever had! Even better than the ones I had in HK), deep fried pork crescents aka ham sui gawk, and steamed pork dumplings with peanuts (the best crystal skin and filling I've had) are my absolute go to order. You cannot go wrong with them 🤤🤤🤤
Luc DeBenon
Staff was very friendly. The food was a little slow to come out, but was very well prepared and at a reasonable price. I enjoyed my time a lot and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

We have tried plenty of other Dim Sum places on the east side or north end, and nothing beats Harbor City. They have recently expanded their dining room to accommodate more people, faster service and quicker turn around service (since they don't take reservations). Food is excellent, try their Chinese donut wrapped in rice noodle or Garlicky Green Pea Sprouts. Plus all the regular Dim Sum favorites. Hanging ducks and pork belly in the window might put some people off, but if you know what's good for you, you'd know that is the sign of true blue authentic AWESOME food. You walk in,and waddle out!
Melanie Vartanian
We arrived on a Saturday about 11:30 a.m. or noon. there was a large crowd of people just inside the restaurant and on the sidewalk, so we had to fight our way to the counter to sign up for a table. but we were seated within about 5 minutes at a large table with a couple other folks. The food was delicious, but what I found even more fantastic was the service!! the men and women with the carts did a really good job of coming around the table several times with lots of different plates and explaining to us what everything was. by the time we left about an hour later, the group in the entryway of the restaurant and on the sidewalk had doubled. The entryway area doesn't seem to have a lot of organization, and I would say is the only downside to visiting harbor City. I'd recommend arriving before noon.
Amber Nicholson
Temperature check before entering, a few dim sum items came round, and order off the menu. As delicious as I remembered. Everyone should come back to Harbor City, still the best dim sum in Seattle!

Omg!!! The best FOOD on this side of the Harbor!! Lol

I went here last night with my girlfriend and loved it! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I've never had such good fried rice before, it had lots of fresh cilantro in it. I also loved the egg rolls, they had huge shrimp in them, so much in fact that it was sort of like a roll of quarters, with the shrimp stacked vertically inside the egg rolls. I would definitley eat here again.

The food was incredible, seafood fry rice, beef sesame, and Suger 🍞! …

Very crowded, the food is ok not decent.

Great food. Decent prices.

Fun place to eat, I can see why it's popular. I loved the food. Good filtered water. Being a tourist I noticed the different class seating and getting charged for water. A small price but a shock to me being from a small town. My only reason for a 4 star. To me a paying customer is a paying customer, no class needed. But that's how it is where I'm from.

The football is good. Tendon was good. Egg custard was good

Best dim sum I have ever had. Totally worth waiting in line for- you won't regret it!

Staff is polite and food is good but can get quite busy, leading to some wait. Great for larger groups of people, more variety to choose from and you might get in sooner as they have larger tables that they tend to reserve for larger groups.

Great service, great people, and fantastic food. Favorite dim sum spot in town.

I really like the Dim Sum. Very nice size and taste. The price is good. So is the quality. Nice staff. Typical Chinese dim sum atmosphere. Relaxed . Got right in @2 pm.

Amazing food for such a nonchalant place ! We ordered the bee chow fun with black sauce and. Chicken fried rice along with shrimp cilantro dumpling, chicken bun and corn dumplings.
Service was slow, but it worked for us...as they brought dishes one at a time right and hot.
If I’m ever back in Seattle again, will not miss this place !!

All the food here was great and the service was good. The din sum and shu Mai and dim sum have generous portions of shrimp and beef.

Best dim sum I've had in a long time!

This is probably one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Seattle since Sea Garden had their fire and never reopened. On weekends expect to wait a long time for a table to get dim sum. Be sure to get some of their BBQ pork. It's awesome.

This place is great. Really delicious Cantonese food, and the dim sum is still great as take-out. Can't wait till the Tacoma location opens!

The best Dim Sum I've had in the Seattle area. Decor inside isn't much to talk about but I'm not there for visuals, I'm there for great food. Service was quick and attentive. Will always go back.

We stopped in before the game yesterday to have a few drinks and some dim sum. The food was delicious; the fried stuff was a little on the greasy side, but in a good way. Drinks are cheap and the dim sum menu was reasonably priced.

Good dim sum. Period. My girlfriend's parents are from Hong Kong and they like. And if they didn't like it, I could tell you because her parents aren't shy about criticizing the food they eat. As far as food to eat, you'll have access to all of your standard dim sum fare. I would say that the past few times we've missed their steam buns - so I would suggest grabbing those as soon as you see them because they dishes disappear fast.

My kids enjoyed the food. Good prices. Only two Manu with pictures but the others are in both Languages. Park on the streets, plenty of spaces. Plenty of plates to choose from. Enjoy your meal, is good for take out and have meal on premises.

We wanted to have some good dim sum while in Seattle and this place was great. It’s not fancy dining but very authentic. Service was good and food very good. I’d definitely go back and send people back here.

Our first time here. It's the "real deal" San Francisco Bay Area-style Chinese food. Good as can be. We had the deep-fried tofu, an oyster and pork hot pot, soup made with Chinese green mustard, salted egg, and tofu, and beef chow fun with dry noodles (no gravy). We will most definitly be coming back to sample more from this gem.

Best Dim Sum in the area with good prices. It's really easy to order too much, so be careful. I always used to go home with half of what I ordered. Now I know to just get 1 or 2 at a time.

Your standard dim sum, freshly made, and not too crowded for a late Sunday lunch. There were only 2 carts pushed around at a time though, and we made the mistake of picking a bunch from the same cart and getting full too quickly. Didn't get to taste as much variety as we'd hoped.
