Reviews of H Bistro
A real gem of a Cantonese cooking. Food was really hot. You can taste the “wok hei” in the food. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely coming again. Will also get take out here.
Eggplant and Cod Clay Pot, Pea Vine, XO sauce Rice Rolls were all pretty good!
Yummy! We got the beef chow fun, honey walnut shrimp, bitter melon salted egg yolk, and eggplant/salted fish clay pot. Beef chow fun was perfectly cooked and flavored with the wok-char. The shrimp were light and crispy, and it was light on the mayo and not too sweet. I couldn’t eat the bitter melon because the salted egg yolk flavor was really gamey, but my friend said that it normally tastes like that because that’s how salted duck egg yolk tastes like. It also tasted slightly metallic from the baking soda they used to draw out the bitterness. Next time I would order the bitter melon with black bean sauce because the bitter melon itself was perfectly cooked. The eggplant dish was delicious as well. The restaurant was nice and clean and the server wore a mask which I always appreciate. Will come again
Soooooo awesome!!! Genuine Cantonese food 10/10.
This is the best Cantonese restaurant I’ve tried in Seattle. We ordered the wuxi spareribs (fall-off-the-bone amazing!), steamed eggs with clam, Japanese tofu enoki claypot, and salted egg pumpkin. Everything was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend.
A Chinese Restaurant that do tasty Chinese dishes that is beyond the typical Chinese American fare. Look out specially for the stew pork and steam chicken dishes. These has a more authentic Asian taste to the dishes. If you thinking of ordering fish dishes you will need to order ahead.
This place is great! We came here for Christmas Eve dinner. Service was fantastic. We ordered many dishes and everything was delicious but our top 3 faves were the cod fillets with ginger and onion, HK style stuffed eggplants, and salted fish fried rice. Can't wait to come back!
Beef ginger and Cantonese green beans
Authentic Chinese food. Reminded me of home!
I had the ginseng and chicken soup and also the lamb stew in a clay pot.
Casually stopped by here and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. I got the Eggplant with cod and the Japanese style tofu and it was so delicious! I definitely recommend these dishes. I especially loved the fact that the cod was high quality, and perfectly cooked. Very delicate and fresh - how cod should be. I have never had Cantonese food this good. Each dish was around $13 and totally worth it. I disagree with other reviewers in regard to this place being too expensive. IMO the pricing is right on par with the quality, if not a good deal.
The staff was highly accommodating as well.
My first time here eating at this restaurant and I had a pleasant experience. I think it's a nice small size restaurant they got here. I like how they have decorated their dining area and it's spacious too. Don't feel a bit cramped at all, but it kind of look like it would be hard for them to accommodate big groups of people. I ordered the dried scallops and egg whites fried rice, and it was pretty darn delicious. I would certainly come back again.
Ever since Hing Loon closed down my family had been looking for a new place to meet and have dinner in the International District, and we're lucky we found H Bistro. I was hesitant because the prices were a little higher and they didn't have some familiar menu items, but the food is well worth the price. Everything is delicious and the menu is full of items that I have never seen at any other restaurant. You can find familiar Chinese dishes prepared very well, but I would urge anyone going here to try something they haven't heard of or usually can't find in Seattle. You won't be disappointed. Not to mention the owner is super friendly and usually at the restaurant ready to chat with guests or make reccomendations.
The servers were very nice and considerate. My sister and I took our 94 years old grandma there and had a bit of trouble getting out grandmother's chair over the lip of the door. One of the male workers immediately came over and helped us then led us to a table where our grandma can sit comfortably. The food was delicious as well. We had stuffed chicken wings with sticky rice, fried little fish, and bitter melon with eggs. The fried little fish was my favorite.
A nice and clean place to have a small group of friends. Best Beef Chow Fun I have had in Seattle ever. Silky beef and great taste. Waiter and waitress are really nice and professional. I had a tough day that day but the lunch there is a nice enjoyment and comfort.
Our family stumbled upon this little gem while traveling around Seattle. We went back to this restaurant 3 times in the span of 8 days. All the dishes we ordered were excellently cooked, especially the deep fried pumpkins, eggplants with cod. The staff are friendly and courteous. On our last day we had to lug our huge luggages around, they were kind enough to accommodate us and the luggages. Highly recommended place.
Good authentic Cantonese food. Clean environment and friendly service. Special pre order menu available but price could be on the high side. Otherwise, good value for the regular menu items. The fish and eggplant clay pot as well as the Lamb rack are worth trying.
I went as part of a party of 11 that had only let them know of our coming for lunch the day prior. We were sat practically instantly, and despite being in a separate area from the rest of the guests it never once felt like we were being ignored. We all got our own thing and then shared among the group, so I got to taste quite a few dishes. They were all superb and the portion sizes were huge. The only inconvenience was that a table couldn't be split more than 4 ways, so we had 4 noble volunteers and sorted out the details later. All in all a great, great stay that I'd highly recommend.
Small, homey, inexpensive, good, and you can get stuff here I've never seen at other Chinese restaurants--hairy fig and chicken soup, bitter melon with egg, yum! Good food, good service, though if you don't speak Cantonese you may have to just point at some things.
A bit pricey, but the food is good and the staff are nice and very attentive. The restaurant is tucked away in one of the many doors on the street, fairly hard to spot. Fairly quiet place, and good for large groups. There's a wide wine selection as well. Overall, good, but pricey.
Very tasty food. I recommend to order family style to taste more
Great selection of dishes. Super quick and friendly service! Really enjoyed their hot and sour shrimp soup! Their General Tso chicken dish was tasty as well.
My family ate here twice while we are in Seattle for a trip. The place serves decent food and the price is reasonable. I would recommend the beef soup. Really tasty! You can ask vinegar and white pepper into it.
Food was unexpectedly delicious. It is a bit pricier than other restaurants nearby though. The fish was cooked really well while the fried chow mein was pretty delicious but it could be a bit crispier though.
On the pricy side in international district standard and quality is not quite matching up. In the smaller portion size as well. Came here for dinner twice with a bigger group and all left with a thought of going back to A plus. Worth a try though if you haven’t been to other restaurants in that area.
Amazingly elevated Cantonese cuisine!
This place is a gem! The food is amazing and doesn’t make you feel too heavy or full after you’re finished. The staff is attentive and nice and the place is clean. Best Chinese food in Seattle!!
Go there as friends recommend!
Nice atmosphere, friendly service, beautiful plated food and a satisfying meal. I go for the roast duck and the vegetables.
One of the best 2 Cantonese restaurants, that I know of, in Seattle. Authentic modern Hong Kong style cooking. And the best part? No lines! At least before it gets discovered.
Another dream Chinese restaurant I visited in NW since Din Tai Fung came to Portland: good food, clean and good service. My son and his wife eat there regularly.
Food is delicious. Restrooms are clean.
Great food at a really good price. Their lunch menu is a solid deal. Service is quick and friendly. Give them a try!
Had Kung Pao Chicken, Sauce was flavored well but bamboo shoots and water chestnuts tasted like they were straight from a can. :( Kinda metallic.
yum! silky vegetables and fish in generous portions, at fair prices. tasty fresh fruit beverage options, accommodating staff.
Hidden gem! Everything from the fried rice, stuffed chicken wings, pea vines and beef with mushrooms were amazing! Definitely returning!
Came here for their lunch special and was very satisfied. They offer a wide selection of Chinese food and I highly recommend this place for its great quantity to price ratio
This place fills up quickly during lunch hour. The dishes were decent, reasonably priced and received a Cantonese approval from my mom.
Fast service for our meal. The servers were very friendly and helpful. The serving sizes for our family style meal were plentiful!
I went there for dinner last week, the food and service was really good. They have some really interesting items written on the wall, I guess I have to try it next time.
Liked the chicken wings stuffed with sticky rice. It's a must-have at this restaurant. The rest of the dishes were a bit too oily.
Loved the soup and the lamp here. It's now crowded for lunch. Food was served fast and the taste is good.
It’s delicious, I live in the area and I eat here several times a week. Also the staff is always super friendly
😎 …
Pretty authentic Cantonese cuisine. Come here once a while to satisfy my craving for hometown food.
Fantastic! Amazing food attentive and nice service. Immediately booked reservations for a family reunion.
One of the best Cantonese restaurants in Seattle.
Good watermelon slush, great portion of food at affordable price. Free fruit at the end of dinner.
Food is fantastic.. best in China town.. people are great and the place is clean..
The food is at a good size but the flavor of all food taste the same, not as I expected. Hmmm.
Great food reasonably priced wide range of menu items. Great service.
Peeking Duck & Green Beans are INCREDIBLE
Really nice, i enjoy the rice rolls, stuffed chicken wings, and eggplant and fish
Amazing food, fast service, I'm really glad we stopped in here on our way back from the bookstore!
Delicious potstickers chicken and fried rice. The kiwi slush was to die for!
Brand new Chinese restaurant, the interior looks so clean and their food is not bad.
Just go and order!

One of the best authentic Cantonese restaurants! The quality is top notch. This place is a hidden gem.
I can’t believe the amount of dishes on the menu, they are not those simple dishes, amazing and definitely will come back .
