Reviews of Etta's Big Mountain BBQ
Cathy Tedesco
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the new counter service/trendy casual concept but was pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent (I had salmon, mushroom nachos and a whiskey based cocktail on tap) and the takeout I brought home for my husband traveled well. We sat in a cute armchair area complete with retro TV trays :)
We were there as a party of 2 but I noted they had several larger tables that could handle parties of 10-12 on a walk-in basis which is hard to find in Pike Place Market so I expect that they would do well with larger groups as well.

Ettas is back and even better! Came in to watch the game and wasn't sure what would be on the menu, but it was so freaking good! We got the nachos, wedge salad, ribs with siracha mac and wings. This is seriously the best bbq I have had since I have been in the south! Servers were friendly and nice and the atmosphere is really cool and different. I cannot wait to come back and try more items! Sorry no pics we scarfed everything before it occurred to us! :)

Good service place, food is good but definitely overpriced, the salmon I had was $35 for about 7 oz of wild salmon, and no salad was included. Drinks were good but the desert menu was poor on my opinion. The crab cakes cost over $30 for 2 of them and were the size of one bite. They were good but small. The French fries my friends ordered came over salted and over cooked. The replacement was fresher but still salty.
Was not impressed by this place.

Quintessential northwest inspired seafood. Tom Douglas is consistent at delivery delicious quality food. The decor is very dated, almost as if it belongs in an episode of Frasier, but the location is good and a window seat makes up for the 90’s theme.
The classic Tom Douglas salmon was rich and buttery, nothing was particularly memorable about the fish but that’s not a bad thing.
The avocado and grapefruit salad was bright, fresh and offered a range of textures and depth of flavor, very enjoyable.
Overall a great experience.

When we arrived we were greeted by a great hostess with an amazing smile. Our waitress was also friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the salad made with grapefruit and avocado. So flavorful. I had fish and chips. The fries were crispy yet tender. The fish was perfectly cooked. My sister had the seaweed spaghetti. While it was not bad it was too fishy for her. The restaurant took care of this issue. Great service. Great food. When visiting Seattle it is a must.

Our first place to eat in Seattle and we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was very good and fresh. We were adjusting to a three hour lag from eastern time so brunch was great. They add a %20 gratuity and our server was worth adding more.

This place was delish. I got the crab Benedict and my husband for the corned beef hash. Both were excellent. I loved sitting on the patio and watching all the stuff going on across the street. Our waiter was so kind and knowledge about all the food. I would love to go back and try lunch or dinner but probably just the crab Benedict again.
Lacey
The best fish and chips in the city! Great slaw and tartar sauce too. Their fries are what other fries strive to be, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Comfortable seating, cool location, friendly staff.
Ryan Stone
Definitely an establishment for seafood, Etta's does not disappoint. Prices may be high but quality is higher. King crab and dungeness crab are the same price on the menu, so go with the King. Their oyster selection was informative and delicious as well. Probably the freshest tasting oysters I've had in a long time, and the menu comes with tasting notes that help you appreciate them more! Excellent service and a wonderful location makes Etta's a go-to for seafood.
Carla Contreras
Came here while visiting Seattle for my birthday and everything I ordered was delicious. I had the salmon, well done, and it was not dry at all. It is done a different style, but it was very tasty!!! The corn bread and asparagus that came with the salmon were also yummy. The calamari was yummy! I would definately return.
Ananas
Great place to enjoy some local seafood. Their chowder and crab cakes are a real delight. It is a bit on the expensive side though, and the premises, while trying to be cosy, are a little dark and old fashioned.
Mark Da Shark
The tomato soup was great. Must try the banana nut bread, amazing. Staff was prompt & polite. The only bad thing was parking,it was a pain..... walking is the best, parking garage did not have a safe fealing.
Gi D
If there is a visitor from out of town and I need a solid restaurant I know is going to be good, Etta's is my go to. The service is always stellar and their Rub with Love Salmon is always a favorite. Nice, quiet place to have a romantic dinner, or even to have a chill family dinner with a 3yr old included. Kids menu is basic and all the staples for kids. Oysters were on point and the tuna cooked to rare perfection.
Nick Tubbs
Delicious foods with decent prices and not super crowded. It's located right off the market so it probably gets more of a tourist crowd than it does locals. Service was fast and friendly.
Lynn T
So yeah $80.00 for breakfast for 3 and that's without any mimosas! LOL French toast was good, regular toast was burnt and hard as a rock. Coffee was delicious and everyone was super friendly and attentive. I know this area is pricey, so prepare yourself when sitting down for a meal in this high traffic tourist area.
No parking to be found really, save yourself some time and just park in one of the many nearby parking garages.
Blix Gray
Expensive but worth every penny. Wonderful service and food so delicious you won't know what hit your tastebuds. I highly recommend the salty, crispy calamari and any fresh pasta dish they have seasonally.
Britt Launius
Sat at the bar and got incredible service. Upcharged me on wine but it was worth it. Ordered a salad, salmon, and banana dessert. Salad was yummy & light. Salmon was good (probably would've preferred it being cooked less than medium - but the fat was flavorful this way). The banana dessert was better after it sat for about 10mins. Otherwise the banana layer was too frozen to meld with the chocolate layer.
Maria del Mar Yepes
Great food, vibe, staff, and beer selection.
Aval Okni
Love this place. Good food, amazing oysters and even better cocktails. Always friendly service, nice place to stop when visiting Pikes Place
Devika Locke
Went here for clammy hour. Got drinks and oysters. Oysters we're perhaps the best I've ever had and service was great. Ambiance is lovely, modern and classic. Prices for happy hour are very reasonable.
Michael Valeron
The clam chowder was like any other. The salmon sandwich was charred on outside and juicy inside. Wish it was a thicker piece. Was only 3/8” at thickest.
Karan Osborne
Perfect location just outside of Pikes. Our server was wonderful. The fish was outstanding the flavors fro. The spices just danced in our mouth. We couldn't have asked for a better meal.
Ernesto Amador
Food was great and it's a nice location near pike place market. Took off a star because the portions seemed small for the price. Would come back as the Salmon was good and the cornbread made it great.
Jeremy Block
Good food but on the pricier side based on location alone. Happy hour is reasonable to sit at the bar and relax. Just far enough away from the market to be slightly quieter.
Miguel Rios
Best clam chowder and grilled cheese with bacon I have had! A bit pricey compared to going to eat in Pikes Place but still a good place to eat! Small but good selection of local beers
Emma Stone
Classic and yet modern seafood spot right by Pike's Place. Everything we had was excellent, and the service was impeccable. It's not cheap, but definitely worth the price.
Bart Dobers
Very good smoked brisket sandwich and Sriracha macaroni salad.
Sergey Kovalev
Skate special is worth to try. A little overpriced place, 20% service is included. Bacon in clam chowder is not good!
Sean
Great service and happy hour brisket nachos were awesome, way better than expected
Mark Holifield
This place is Awesome!!! The Northwest Seafood Stew is a must have. Even the burgers are fantastic.
Ian Gorton
A seafood extravaganza. And coconut cream pie to finish. Portions more substantial than expected. Highly recommended.
Marcia LaSalle
We went during Restaurant Week, and had the specials. Loved the fish! And the chowder 😍 !!!! Will definitely go again!! …
Nik Kontrimas
Wonderful restaurant week menu and the salmon is one of the most unique fish dishes I’ve had involving salmon. The sweet and smoky flavor was wonderful
Rachel Claire
This has been the best food we have had during our entire trip to Seattle. If you are visiting the Seattle area make this one of your stops!! Amazing staff, great atmosphere and the food is perfect!!! (GET THE FRY SAUCE)
Sungwoo Park
Traditional crab cake and clam chowder. You may think taste salty if you're from Asia.
kw cheung
The food was food and service was excellent! This is one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle!
Aron Govil
We came here for lunch with a party of 8. This is a nice restaurant with good view however the service was very slow. Bloody Mary isn't good. Mule is OK. Food is good. Entire staff seems overworked but they try.
Ina Kirsch
Quite expensive but very good food. Desserts could be a bit more inventive.
Seongtae Kang
foods are not bad, but quite overpriced. small size dishes are really tiny!
M Gates
My partner had crab cakes. Delicious. I had a geoduck appetizer. Loved it. A great note of wine, too.
Chase Oleyer
The atmosphere and the food were fantastic! Delicious food cooked to perfection, fresh produce and fish made for a perfect meal. The staff were outstandingly kind and professional and knew exactly what the menu comprised. I felt well taken care of, and full but not overly heavy after my meal. Well balanced for sure! If you want to enjoy a night of fine dining in a comfortable fine dining establishment, make sure you put Etta's at the top of your list.
Eriksen Watson
Shining star of the trip was the wings. They were truly delicious.
Nick Helseth
Pricey for lunch, but the food and location are good. Had fish and chips; better than average. Brunch is pretty good, too.
Doug Wiese
One of my favorite places. Food is always very, very good.
Doris Torres
Yummy!!! My go to spot on Etta's! If you are going to pay tourist prices might as well make it worth it! Great fish, steaks, calamari and drinks. The Lipstick Lemon drop was Amazing!! Great place for a bite to eat with friends, family or even for a date night!
Jen X
Great service but when I was sliding out of the booth, the seat upended! So embarrassing, please bolt that puppy down! One of the staff told me it happens all the time. Really??? That's dangerous.
Brent Reese
The seafood stew was one of the best bowls of food I have ever had in my life. Super flavorful and perfect for a cold winter evening. You also can’t go wrong with the sashimi appetizer—which left us wanting more. To top off the experience, the wait staff was incredibly warm and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
David Dierks
We made reservations on a Friday evening for a party of 7. Our table was ready when we walked in, probably the only empty table at the time. This place was full and I can see why. Service is spot on, friendly and all the staff was accommodating. We started with the tuna sashimi, several bit-sized and tasty pieces. Everyone enjoyed their food- fish and chips, crab cakes, oysters, salmon, there were some tasty soups in there to... I had the Salish stew and I must say it is fantastic and easily a gem of this establishment. Call ahead and you won't be disappointed.
Tip: If you order the stew and are new to shellfish stews, you'll want to spend the first minute or two cleaning the meat from the all shells and setting the shells aside, just start right away. Once you've cleaned the shells you can mix everything in and eat the stew like any other. Don't try to fiddle with the shells and bits while eating, it will distract you from the conversation.
Joseph Balden
Waitress was very helpful with great suggestions. Food was fabulous. Great quiet dining.
Laura Bensona
We stopped in for a late lunch during their "happy hour" and had to sit and eat at the bar. Normally, I don't like doing this but the experience turned out to be very pleasant, thanks to the excellent seafood (great fish and chips), the outstanding bar tender, and the good perch for people-watching. Yes, this is a touristy area but, then, there is a reason locals as well as tourists gravitate to a straightforward eating place like this.
Susan Suzuki
All the food at Etta's is tasty, with different flavors featured in each dish. We stopped in for a late bite to eat, after checking in to our hotel.
From the moment we began planning our Seattle trip, we talked of going to Etta's for the Clams and Grilled Bread we had in November 2018. That particular dish made such an impression on us! We couldn't stop telling our families about how heavenly the grilled/smoked sourdough bread was! We were actually disappointed in the new seasonal clam dish of Fall 2019, but it goes to show you how innovative the chef is. The current clan dish is quite good; Just not what we we expecting.
The lesson for us was: read the menu items carefully before ordering to avoid any mix-up in taste vs. what we anticipate!
Still loved the atmosphere, friendly service and flavors!
Taylor Hancock
Food is good, but a little bit on the smaller portion size. Good for people who like seafood. Drinks and desserts were fun and delicious. Plan on spending lots of time here. We spent over 2 hours here, so if your itching to go explore the market nearby, take that into consideration. Atmosphere was just that of a busy restaurant. Also expect an extra charge for getting a seat at the restaurant for its location.
Noriaki ITO
Seafood stew is awesome!Good smell of seafood and creamy.
Rater 007
This is a great place to visit. Nice and cozy. It's sets the night off right for dinner with your date or friends. My wife and I enjoyed our visit. They respected my food allergy. I love shrimp, but can't eat it.
Sean Johnstone
The restaurant's vibe was really nice and the staff was extremely attentive and helpful. It was a little odd hearing the hosting station comment on the importance (or lack thereof) of reserving a table every time someone walked in, but that's being nit picky. The food was good, nothing to write home about. The presentation on the other hand was great! Not sure if I'd go back again based on the prices I had to pay, but it was an experience. Recommend but not a must in the city.
Victoria Marsik
super friendly staff! they seated us right away, stored the stroller and made it so easy for us traveling with a little one. I had the butternut squash bisque which was absolutely amazing - I highly recommend it. we got our plates quickly and the food was delicious. the next time I'm in town I will be back!
Jacob Schmitt
If you spend any mount of time in Pike Street market, you will want a civil place to stop and eat. Not that there aren’t enough quick places in the market, but if you’re anything like us, you’ll want to take a break, kick back with a nice wine and relax. Very nice choice here. Very nice staff, even nicer and attentive service, fair prices, and wine choices....so what could go wrong . I loved that we were on a little time crunch, and it was no big deal to them to get us out and served, and without pulling faces. It’s up the street from the Market, easy short stroll. Inside and outside seating. They pre tip at 20%, I don’t mind but be aware. They kindly tell us in advance so you don’t double tip, but their receipts don’t have room for the tip to be safe. Good choice, great menu.
Teresa Peralta
Great food and great service! Plenty of food, I couldn't eat it all.
Felix Mateu
Location is very cozy, service was outstanding but best part was the food. Out of this world. I had for appetizer the crab cakes, you must try, a real crab cake. And I had a fresh green salad which was phenomenal, for my main course I had King Salmon that was cooked to perfection.
Melissa Walker
This restaurant was recommended to me by the concierge of the hotel in which I was staying. The atmosphere is quite lovely, and the servers are very attentive. However the food wasn't mind-blowing, especially in concert with the prices. I really felt as though this was something that I could have anywhere in Seattle as well as even being able to make most of the dishes at home.
If anything, I feel this is more of a tourist trap, rather than a must eat restaurant.
Erin Arruda
Just ate at Etta's. We were in the pike place market which was too busy, so decided to try this place instead. We're so glad we did! All of the staff was super friendly, and all of us thought our food was delicious. My husband loves French toast, and did it wasthe best French toast he's ever eaten. I got the crab Benedict which was great.
Dylan Neu
Great seafood! Everything was delicious from the salmon (tastes almost like southern BBQ), to the crab cakes, to the seafood stew, to the stuffed squash blossoms. Staff was friendly, helpful, knowledge, and prompt. I would definitely come back and recommend to others
Kim S
We kind of camped out here for awhile with our delicious appetizers and many glasses of fine wine during brunch time. They were so cool about we two ladies taking over our booth. It was perfect for us because this is a restaurant where we could actually hear ourselves speak. Warm and cosy with a bright view of Native Park across the street. I had the best clam chowder of my life there also.
volha luhavaya
I couldn’t believe how delicious the salmon was . 10 out 10
Ravi Vemulapalli
Was recommended by a friend. So glad we made the walk. The clam chowder was amazing and one of the best I’ve ever had. The salmon burger and the crab cake sandwich are also must haves. Service is great and helpful in making a choice.
Brittany Launius
Had a salad, Salmon, and banana dessert. All were delicious! The salad was the perfect size. The salmon was recommended to be cooked medium. It was full of flavor but I would've chosen medium rare. The banana dessert needed to sit for about 5-10mins so that it could meld with the chocolate layer. Amazing service!
Tyron Heath
Sat down immediately in the bar on a Saturday night around 7. Quick, efficient and overall excellent service. Kyle offered samples of even the cheaper wines, not pushy, but thorough and knowledgeable. Food was superb, the fish and chips are authentic and filling, with the most tasteful greens that kept their crisp texture. Romantic lighting and a comfortable atmosphere made this one of the best Seattle dining experiences my wife and I have had yet. Enjoy!!
Darren Randall
At first it seemed like a fancy place but turned out it was a little more casual. Not such a great variety of food. Can't remember what I had but can't say I really enjoyed it. Maybe the seafood would have been a better bet???
No complaints with service but we did had to stand around waiting for 10 minutes to basically be acknowledged and seated.
Can't say I would go back again though. Seems a little pretentious to me.
Han Solo
Everything we ate was amazing, but oddly enough, the standout for me was the coleslaw that came with the True Cod Fish and Chips. It was... revelatory. I love coleslaw when it's made correctly, but it rarely is. It's usually too sweet or too watery or too tangy or the cabbage isn't diced finely enough. But this was absolutely perfect. Creamy, savory and perfect texture.
Again... don't take my obsession with their coleslaw to mean that the rest of the food wasn't worth mentioning... it was all spectacular. The cornbread dressing was shockingly good, the ratatouille pasta was an uncommonly unique and tasty experience. And I'd put their clam chowder up against ANY in the area. But... dang, that coleslaw is what I've been searching for since I moved here 10 years ago! Well done Etta's!
Bob Eldridge
Great service and great food teamed up to provide us with a memorable experience. We had wine out on the patio and returned after a short walk for dinner. I ordered traditional fish and chips which were prepared to perfection.
Ruth Osborn
Dont want to give a bad review just some of my personal impressions.
Clam chowder was very good, cod in the fish fry was good...tartar sauce was more vinegar based and I like sweeter...also like a sweeter coleslaw - this was also more vinegar based...I like thick fries - these were very short shoestring fries which were hard to eat...we left almost all of them. The thing I disliked the most was that they automatically applied a 20% gratuity...I prefer to tip based on performance...the wait staff was excellent, however.
Mark Guzman
Best dining experience and meal I've had in a while. The service is of a noticeably high caliber here. Dining area was packed on a Tuesday night, possibly for their special bento-box style assortment of seafood dishes that were all perfectly prepared. There is not a bad item on this menu, and that includes desserts. Will be back again soon!
Austin Barwick
We went here for lunch and ordered off the Seattle restaurant week menu. I got their classic salmon dish with a chowder appetizer. The food was mediocre; there wasn’t anything wrong with it per-say, it just wasn’t worth the price they charged. It’s obviously a tourist restaurant with tourist prices. Do yourself a favor and find one of the other 110 restaurants that serve seafood and higher quality or lower price.
Van Kelly
It is a nice place to set the mood for morning weekend walk of the Pike Place Market. However I don't see us going back. The 20% up charge no matter how the service is doesn't work for us. We saw our server two times, once to order, then with the check. We had to ask a passing waitress for more water. The breakfast food was good, not great.
Erica Lange
I've had the crab cakes on a Public Market tour and decided to take guests here. Three of us had very good food (salmon tartare, hand-made spaghetti, and fried shrimp), my husband had salmon which he stated he's had better. It is very pricey and you get small protein portions, it all tastes great but don't come starving.
Rella Madeline
The atmosphere was good.
The non alcoholic selection of drinks was good.
The calamari was super yummy.
The fries were not impressive.
The wait staff seemed a little curt / stuck up.
Jamie Evans
The food was good, bit I have to tell you the truth. The staff out shined the food, and that was before they knew it was my birthday! The entire set up was comfortable and quiet-ish. The staff was very attentive and was good about quiet service. I had a great experience here and look forward to going back
Jodi Henley
We got there just before dinner and while to us it was just a late lunch to them it was dinner. I think it was four. Great service. And it should be because the tip is not optional it's included. Decent food. Lots if you order the tourist stuff like fried whatever, minimal (small) if you order anything not fried since it's fine dining. We got two entrees, one soft drink and an app and spent a hundred. Very pricey.
Darby Sutton
Really great food, however the portions aren't large and the prices are very high. This is understandable due to the quality. The seaweed pasta was different and delicious as well as the coconut cream pie.
Brandon Ferguson
The service was great, we ordered a plate of fish and chips and shrimp and also halibut. There shrimp was over fried and the halibut was over cooked. It wasn't terrible, but for a place that is a "seafood" place it should be way better
Spencer Lambert
The food here is very good, but not quite awesome. The service is friendly and efficient in my experience. There are two dealbreakers though. One is the cocktails, which are somewhere between mediocre and bad. (The wine and beer selection is OK.) The second dealbreaker is the price of a meal, with a 20% service charge added ON TOP OF the 10% Seattle food tax, and ON TOP OF already very high prices. I am all for paying servers and restaurant staff a living wage, but not by overcharging customers. At the very least, the service charge should be adjusted downwards to reflect the fact that Etta's is charging the customer a high service charge ON TOP OF taxes and jacked-up food prices. It was good, but not worth the cost. Won't be back any time soon.
Richard Hornsby
We dropped in for breakfast before boarding our cruise. Has a very modern interior while maintaining the Seattle bohemian feel. I had the scramble, which was smaller and more artisan than I expected, but tasted delicious. My kids each had the brioche French toast, which was light, fluffy, and cooked to perfection. My wife opted for lunch and had the pulled pork, which she enjoyed. Best part though was their chocolate-walnut banana bread to start. Absolutely scrumptious.
Melissa Oister
We ate here for lunch. I ordered the cod fish and chips and my s/o ordered some oysters from Bellingham and the herring. I am not a huge fan of seafood, but this meal was delicious and very fresh. The service was fast and friendly as well. This restaurant IS expensive, but considering we ordered three beers in total on top of the food, I didn't think it was all that bad. If you want fresh seafood in a nice upscale sit down restaurant, expect to pay the price. If you don't want to pay, it's a short walk to Pike Place market where there are plenty of places to eat seafood for less.
Michael Layton
Totally amazing food and service. We went for lunch and it was so good we went back for dinner. Jennifer was our server and was so friendly and helpful it really made the exceptional food even better.
Even the beverages were perfect. It seems most of the vegetables come from a farm owned by by the restaurant. Very close to Public Market and across the street from a small park with views of the water.
Just perfect.
Dave Lete
Probably excellent if you're going to have something really special and a bottle of wine.
If you're interested in just dinner, it felt pretty over-priced for what I got. The fish 'n' chips was really tasty. I think you're more paying for the fact that you're downtown and for "atmosphere" (it was nice) than you are for food.
Christopher Wolstenholme
Was good, Service could have been a little faster but food was good and they weren't pretentious at all
Star Wall
The food was amazing. I had the fish and chips combo and my only complaint is that there were too many fries. They are the shoestring ones but there were just so many! Otherwise, everything was great and the service was amazing.
Elizabeth V (Zabe)
I ate here for brunch yesterday and was served the most delicious eggs I have ever eaten. It's been 24 hours since I ate that egg, and I'm still thinking about it. It was just so good. Also, I am a simple girl from the Midwest, so please take this review with a grain of salt. But it was really really good. Also, I tried crab for the first time here, and it was interesting and tasty.
Will return next time I am in Seattle for the eggs and toast. It was just the best thing I have ever eaten in my short life.
Viola Lola
A very fine meal for our group with a few exceptions. My fish was over cooked, and my partner's side dish lacked flavor. Minimal options but presentation was spectacular. The staff behind the basr andbout waitress were friendly and helpful.
Alexander Blinnikov
Quite expensive, but super delicious meals. Texture of the food is so good. The dishes are very small, you would want to order a full set: appetizer, entree and desert. Can easily go above $100 per person.
Robert Fertig
Good entrees, great apps, great zerts. The ice cream is super high quality, and the chocolate creme brulee is to DIE for (though they ran out of it the last time I went). For entrees, the fried oysters and salmon are very good.
Mixed service - I've had a good server who was super helpful and went out of her way for us. I've also had painfully slow service that really hurt the experience.
It is expensive, so not a place I will frequent, but I will go again for a special occasion.
Thabata Regiani
Etta's is one of our favorite brunch spots in town. The ambiance is great, very cozy, service is excellent and everyone is always very friendly.
You can never go wrong ordering their egg's Benedict or their Impossible Burger.
Jaye Lambert
Etta's is a nicely decorated and comfortable restaurant. I was more impressed by the descriptions on the menu, and the enthusiasm of our server, than by the taste and quality of the food. Same for the cocktails. Etta's is pricey for the amount of fairly ordinary food they serve. Add the 10% sales tax, then the compulsory 20% service fee on top of the food and tax, and a $300 tab turned into $400. By their own small-print admission, this service fee is not a tip. It goes directly to the owners, making reasonable wages and health care for employees the diner's responsibility. A more honest way to present this additional fee would have been to raise the prices by 20% and let diners decide whether to go there or not.
Rachel Wille
This was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. We came here for a light, late lunch. My husband had clam chowder which he said was really good. We split the fish & chips since it was a later lunch. I really like how they split it up onto 2 plates for us. The fish and chips was light, lightly breaded and very tasty. It was pretty over priced in my opinion but it's in a touristy area so that is to be expected. The service really lacked, there is an automatic 20% gratuity so maybe that's why.
Quinton Lee
Great spinach salad, BUT that crab salad, Oh Yeah!! Had the salmon tartar last night and it wanted more! The staff is EXCELLENT! Gracious beautiful competent servers and Morgan makes it so easy to order another round from the bar. Shout outs to Andrea Jenn Erin Kelly(my apologies for not being able to remember all the server's names)Morgan - you are ALL Special! Kudos to a great management staff as well!
Maclyn Maguire
Outstanding service, food and drinks. Went for brunch and the combo fish fry was excellent and served with a superb horse radish type of sauce. Desserts and drinks are elaborate and delectable as well.
Joshua M
At first impression the restaraunt seems like a nice place to grab dinner. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and location. However having looked at the menu online initially there was a different impression of what prices would be, which are already quite high, and shockingly enough they were even higher upon arrival at the restaraunt.
The next surprise came when the waitress informed us that there was an additional 20% charge on top of what is already being charged to provide better pay for employees.
Finally the food. The food itself was decent, but nothing necessarily special. There was a small selection for the main course, around 10 items, consisting mostly of seafood.
Overall the experience was alright, but no where near your moneys worth for the quality of service and amount of food.
Amye Graf
This was my first time at Etta's and it was fabulous. The staff was helpful and informative. The food lived up to it's reputation. The seafood was fresh and the flavors were bold. The crab eggs Benedict was perfection.
Jesslyn Farros
The food was delicious! We got the fish and chips, amazing fries. The crab cakes, lots of crab and again, delicious, a little over priced though (reason for four not five stars). And the chocolate trifle, again, delicious! Chocolate mousse, peanut butter mousse, with chocolate cookie crumble and whipped cream.... Too good.

Super delicious! Ordered the halibut and split it with my mom. Splitting was no big deal and was the PERFECT portion for us!
One complaint, the potatoes tasted legit like vinegar, but everything else was really good
Darvin Gomez
Our tastebuds had a treat today, just as our server told us. Cold River salmon was on point. It was a rainy but gorgeous day and lunch at Etta's was great!! Great service awesome food perfect combo.
David Wong
Fantastic, delicious food that was very innovative in combining vegetables and fish with avocado/creme fraiche. We had an exceptional server tonight whose name was Erin. She was delightful and very understanding that we had a two year that was really hungry. She brought my granddaughter her food out really quick. They also had a shrub non-alcoholic drink which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Great place by the waterfront in Seattle with delicious Seafood. The Clam Chowder, the Albacore Tuna Sandwich and the Crab cake sandwich are all delicious. Also the calamari is a perfect starter. Service is great and you can even sit outside and enjoy the view of the water. Just steps away from Pike Place.
Michael Cohn
Obviously, go for the salmon. But also go for the other seafood too, oysters, clams, and the tuna sashimi. Craft cocktails were creative and delicious. Last, the service was great and attentive. Don't overlook Etta's just because it's by the market.
eric neaville
The food is fine, just a bit pricey for what you get. And I really don't like that an 18% gratuity is automatically included. I would like to try a lunch or dinner, as I 've only been for breakfast. Nice atmosphere and the staff is always great though.
Michael Barto
Came here for Valentine's day. Great service and wonderful food. Best restaurant salmon I think I've had. The fish fry plate is excellent as well.
Eyal Tropen
Good (not great), overpriced food...
For example: a 3oz(!!) Crab Cake Sandwich should be MAYBE a small appetizer, not a $24 main course... it doesn't even cover half the bun... (see picture)
The fried oysters poo'boy is a better value, and the burger is good.
Lisa Sem-Rodrigues
We had a lovely delicious meal and they were happy to let us split a salad (spinach with bacon and cashews) and main dish (salmon signature dish.) Would prefer to tip on our own - automatic 20% gratuity. Slow on getting entre and dessert - yummy coconut cream pie.
Misato8228
The food was delicious, not anything extravagant just seafood made well. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the water and ferris wheel. The environment is warm and welcoming as are the servers.
S. Soares
Came here for lunch with a group of business partners. The food was all very fantastic, but just not enough of it. I got an additional side and was still hungry! Their veggie sides are some of the best I've had. The star off is for portion size.
Crab cakes were deelish.
It also took 45 mins to get our food for a group of 8 which made the business lunch really long. I doubt that long of a wait is the norm though.
Danish M.
The food here was above average, but not worth the price IMO. I had the crab cake which tasted fresh but was such a small serving for the price that you pay. My friend had the fish and chips which looked alot better and the size was good also.
May West
The seafood dishes are great. 6 of us had lunch at this restaurant. All enjoyed their food. Everyone agreed the food was fresh and expertly prepared. The restaurant was packed with people!!
Michael Calhoun
Bustling spot great for brunch. My oysters were very good. The crabcake was delicious however the risotto it was served on was not executed quite right. I would recommend as a visitor from out of town
John M
Etta's is a trendy restaurant. We enjoyed the raw oysters, they tasted just like the description, enjoyed them alot. Drinks we had were very good. Would def go back there next time we are in Seattle.
Brad Charleson
Tasty cocktails. We choose 3 different entrees and all we're pleased. Coconut cream pie was as advertised (by our waitress). That said, 3hrs later & I've got some seismic GI goings on...

A very comfortable restaurant located right next to Pikes market. Overall, good northwest seafood. Good service until our waitress spilled red wine all over my friend. She and her manager was very apologetic and tried to amend the situation.

This might be an unconventional review since I'm only reviewing the staff since I didn't actually eat anything here (yet!). I was in the area on business and my phone battery was dying. I walked around the area for 30 minutes just trying to find a place to charge my phone and get some water. I wasn't in a position to spend money do to the short notice of my trip, so after being told by every shop in the area that I couldn't even get water for free I decided to give up. I saw Etta's with a convenient outlet outside and stopped in, mentioning that I'd love to get a drink from the bar just to charge my phone for a little on the patio.
DIANNE, the hostess at the time, totally turned my day around! She got me a water (without question) and offered me a spot inside in case it was too hot outside. She was the only person I interacted with in all the shops I went into that actually seemed to care about her customers (even though I wasn't spending money), and was the only person who didn't act like I was completely wasting their time.
Dianne, you're amazing and you totally saved the day. I'll definitely be back and I'm recommending Etta's to every single person I talk to. Thank you for being the only restaurant in the area with compassion!
India M. Clamp
Perfect end to a chilly, yet crab cake-toting day. Impeccable service and we got invited back for Sunday.
Coho Salmon was "delish" per my guest. I tried a bite and it was perfect white flake goodness and rich texture.
Will update post-Sunday as patrons say its signature Etta's, no wine needed, as the views were enough to intoxicate a "book head."
Tom Davis
I had a great time at Etta's! The waitress was on it, we had a question about Aperol, and she brought us samples to try, and was super informative. My wife had the Croque Madame, which we agreed we would go back and order again. I had the Smoked Salmon Hash, it was very Northwest-y, but I would order the Croque Madame next time. Our brunch cocktails were perfect! Looking forward to our next visit!
LarryO Travel
Good spot for fish and tourism near Pike Place Market. Tom Douglas restaurant so it's safe with his trusted formula. That formula can seem a bit stale for high brow locals but ensure good food and a nice dinning experience.
James Morris
Service and food were good and very good respectfully. The brunch menu was very well rounded and creative. The only drawback is the amount of dust and lint all over the tables and light fixtures, and floating in the air. The beautiful morning sun shining in the windows allowed some serious cleaning deficiencies to be revealed.
Rod Turley
Expensive but not great food. Signature dish was mediocre. The 4 of us all ordered something different yet no dish was above average. 20% tip is added automatically as tip but service was good so no problem with that. Overall just not worth the $$$
Amanda Diehl
Great food and atmosphere. The bartender, Morgan is the best!
Rick Onyshko
Coconut cream pie is the best around. Great crust, filling is really good and topping is great. Mussels were good nice spice. Could use some bread served with them. Fish and Chips was ok - So food was good, pie was great.
Mike W
Dashed expectations. I had high hopes for Etta's but they didn't live up to them. The menu was limited and uninspired. The meal was average at best and the service was slow. I also don't like restaurants that add a 20% tip that they keep. A tip is given as my reward for good service and not automatic and it should go to the server.
James Snow
Great food, maybe a little salty. There is a service charge instead of tips. Excellent service. This is my first time to Seattle and amazed at how expensive it is in the city. Would recommend Etta's. Try the bloody mary.
Nick Setten
Tom Douglas' second restaurant, with an emphasis on fish and seasonal ingredients inspired by pike place market. The crab cakes are fantastic, and the salmon is one of the Great Dishes in Seattle. I am very fond of the cornbread pudding. And the staff here are wonderful!
Armon M
My favorite place for fried oysters in Seattle! I love it, from the clam chowder to the full crab it's a great seafood restraunt with friendly staff. I always go alone and sit in the bar Morgan is the best bartender there is, he's great with people and very friendly!
Marlena
Yelp helped us found this cute yummy place! Had some oysters, crab crustini and hamburger. Delicious. And the iced tea and lemonade were yum too. We will be back soon😋 …
James Orr
A lot of their food is fried so beware. Expensive but not too crowded, though the service should have been faster because of this. The food is only okay so it is rather over priced. The waitress was friendly. There is a 20% gratuity automatically added to every check.
Kevin Kiefer
Wonderful dinner for 6, lotsa food. But why "real fish & chips" when only shoestring fries instead of real British-style chips? Also, we phoned at 3 for reservations at 6:15, but they put us down for TOMORROW night; why? Assume first, a phone call is for TONIGHT! Really! But they were able to accommodate us!
Bretton Findlay
Went in for lunch and got some great crab.
Had some oysters and talked myself into a glass of sparkling wine, because the two pair together so well. Afterwards I split a crab Benedict with a friend and the restaurant was kind enough to split it onto two different plates, which is great because I'm awful at portion control.
Going to the bathroom was a completely different experience from the bright dining area. Immediately all the noise seemed to be sucked out by the drone of the overhead fan. I felt like I was in one of those black and white scenes from the new season of Twin Peaks. The bathroom had a very minimal, monochromatic feel to it. I felt like it was sterilized every day, so bonus points to you, Etta!
The strangest part of the whole ordeal was the gentlemen who was taking up the stall. He did one of those coughs that let you know that he's in there and that he knows you're out there listening (which seems unnecessary, if you ask me, but no one has bought my book on public bathroom etiquette yet, so it's understandable that this is still a common occurrence). So, I'm doing my business when the most grotesque, horrifying noises erupted from the stall... "A thousand miles" by Vanessa Carlton. Go ahead and look it up because I guarantee you that this abomination on our collective psyche has been drilled into your brain before. I concluded that this psychopath's phone had gone off and this 7 year old, obnoxious piece of pop trash was his ring tone. It made my sides hurt from holding in my laughter.
30 seconds later, as I was washing my hands, I realized the horrifying truth... the song should've ended and begun to loop again--or he should've answered his phone by now--which means only one thing: this madman was actively listening to "A thousand miles" by Vanessa Carlton. While on the toilet. Let that stink in for a second. Maybe he was doing it for my sake, maybe for his own peace of mind, but of all the songs to choose, he went with Vanessa Carlton's lead single from her 2002 album Be Not Nobody. That decision will haunt me for the rest of my life.
Anyway, the food was good but my trip to the bathroom cast a dark shadow over the whole meal. Also, I forgot to drink my sparkling wine with the oysters so I just had to sip on it for the rest of the meal and was a little peeved about it.
Michael K
Excellent salmon, worth going for this signature dish
Maryelva Varhley
I have lunched here a dozen or so times. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, the ingredients, preparation, and beverages. Yesterday I branched out and ordered the halibut instead of my usual crabcakes (having no idea what the described preparation would taste like). Absolutely delicious - - ust like the crabcakes. Next time I will again try something new. However, I will not likely change from the CHOCOLATE brulee. I have never eaten such a wonderfully presented and better tasting chocolate dessert. THANK YOU.
Alicia
We had the best Saturday morning brunch! Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, and lovely service. I got the Eggs Benedict with Dungeness Crab and it was amazing.
Emily Meadows
Good food (small portions, so be ready), great drinks, slow service. It just kinda felt like you're getting the most basic of everything (service, food) at this restaurant instead of anything that raises the bar.
Jennilee
Casual meet fancy? Etta's located on Western Ave, just south of the Market and the original Starbucks. Etta has a nice view of the Bay, especially if you're sitting at the bar or by the window (Patio seating also available).
I came in to try their famous Coconut Cream Pie $9 and I loved it (4 stars). I'm not a big coconut person, but this pie was creamy and filed my pallet with sweet texture.
Another plus for Etta's is the option of ordering 1/2 pint of beer ($4) versus a full pint.
Their cocktail quality is also decent (4 stars) - Gin Mule $10
Service here was friendly, but I haven't had a bad experience in Seattle yet. My bartender/server, Jennifer, was patient and friendly when we were deciding what to order.
Etta's feels more commercialized than your daily mom and pop store, but the friendly service and yummy pie will bring me back here one day!
Enrique Rivera De Leon (Toyver_Gone)
Convenient location, great food, specially the breakfast! The benedicts are so good and the mimosas perfectly balanced. Try the banana bread, you wont regreat it. I might have been unlucky, but the service wasnt the best, thats why i go for 4 and not 5 stars.
CC Shuett
The food was excellent, service was slow but friendly. We were surprised to have condiments served in paper containers instead of ramekins. The prices were very high for the level of service & lack of fine dining accoutrements.
Jasmine Mian
Etta's was a pleasant surprise. My husband was craving fish and chips so we asked a local and was pointed here. Nothing disappointed. The service, food, and environment all exceeded any expectations.
A. Walker
SO good! Crabcakes, fish and chips, ice cream, French fries, sauerkraut.. all amazing and great service. They even let us tourists charge our cell phones. Would definitely recommend!
Claudia Rybienik
Etta's is known for it's seafood (as it should be as the shell fish was delicious and doused in the more amazing sauce!), but even the prime rib fell right off the bone!
Right from stepping in, the hostesses are hospitable, Michael our server was very attentive and provided us with great recommendations and wine pairings - we finished off dinner with a night cap at the bar and Morgan's Old Fashioned and conversation was great - and Sam, one of the Chefs also came out to say hello which gave us an opportunity to commend him for his dishes!
Eric S
Have been here for dinner many times, but this lunch time visit was outstanding. Great patio seats, and delicious food. Service was great too. Must visit, and have the calamari!
Joshua Preznik
I have never really been into oysters, but when I came to this place I knew I had to try them. They were fresh, and they explained all the different types of oysters to me. If you are looking for oysters in Seattle this should be a place you should definitely try.
Jay & Diane L
Went for Sesttle Restaurant Week and oh so worth it! Ordered from both choices on SRW menu (all yummy, especially of course their famous Coconut Pie) and off regular menu (can highly recommend their large burger with amazing shoestring fries)!
Teddy “Tedros” Hammond
Awesome seafood experience, the aroma of this place if very embracing when you first walk in. I had the northwest stew which was a feast featuring the entire Puget Sound species according to my taste buds. Awesome experience for any occasion.
B Cook
1st class service and food.
Highly recommend off the beaten path.
Richard Beasimer
Fantastic dining experience! Melinda, our wait person, was accommodating, helpful and awesome. The food was delicious and the perfect portions. I highly recommend it.
Chris Rupp
Even at hardcore BBQ joints or steakhouses, there's pretty much always a veggie option on the menu. There's not, here. There's a salad you can ask them to hold the bacon on, and a brussel sprout appetizer which is 'meh'. The host actually pointed out they'd just made their last dish they used to make without seafood in it... a seafood dish. It is also very expensive. On the plus side, if you like fancy, expensive seafood dishes that will not be generic, this seems like a good place. The location is certainly killer.
Catherine Collison
The food was outstanding, the service was great, and although everyone says that it's pricey, I was impressed with the quality of wine that we got for $40/bottle. For the location and quality of the food, it was well worth the money (particularly in Seattle, where everything seems to be expensive)
Dianna
Food:
The shindig is great (Tuesday night special):
in bento box style: lump crab wedge salad, steamed mussels and clams, ramen with shrimp and I did the add-on of crab's legs. Super yummy and reasonably filling.
It also had a dessert that came after - sorbet with crispy praline.
3 jumbo shrimp grilled well
On top of some noodles with ginger and scallion
Mussels and clams pretty fresh and tender (mussels were better)
The dungeness crab wedge salad is very good too. Several large chunks of crab and a tasty dressing. Dressing is on the heavier side though so it night be good to ask for it on the side.
I got the additional crab legs for 8$ too. It was a half serving of legs - 5 pieces including a claw. Pretty good.
The house specialty spiced salmon was a bit over cooked/dry.
Service:
- good.
Milica Ivaz
15 years ago I had an extraordinary meal at Etta's. In the meantime, I came to Seattle many times on business and pleasure but for whatever reason, never went back to Etta's. 15 years later, I came back and the expeience was just as grand. Started off with a medley of local oysters, fresh, succulent and delicious. For mains, my wife had rockfish and I went with their trademark dish, crabcakes. Both were cooked just right, both sublime! Finally, we finished of with Chocalate Mousee Semifredo. Cherry on th cake. Thank you, Etta's, I am glad I could share this wonderful gastronomic experience with my wife. Brownie points for this hubby!
Roland Ayala
Located north edge of Pike Place market strip, this is one of my favorite places to eat. If you like fish and chips, this is the best I've found in the area. Perfectly fried every time, on a bed of hand cut shoestring fries.
Really can't go wrong with this place. Only downside is access is tough if driving because need to fight the busy car and door traffic surrounding the market. I usually park a few blocks away and walk. If you're visiting the market anyway, then this is no-brainer oprion.
Tisha Phillips
Love this restaurant! Started with the fried green tomatoes ans corn bread pudding....absolutely delicious! Well worth the price. 18% gratuity is included in the bill.
Kathy Herrmann
My favorite restaurant in Seattle. Fantastic food, great service and fun location near Pike Place Market. Best crab cakes I've ever had.
Ralph Munson
Good fish a nbn d shrimp fries. S it surprisingly expensive after 20% gratuity and tax and surcharge for Seattle added. Bill quickly went from $43 dollars to $75 with additions.
Cheryl Lynn
I had the salmon. I didn't think the seasoning was anything special the but the mushrooms made the dish. The asparagus tasted great, but I wish it wasn't quite so drowned in oil.
Isaac Martinez
Over pretentious and way overpriced based on what you get to eat.
20% service charge plus taxes, so the total bill was about $160 for a meager meal.
I would recommend to look around for a better option if you are visiting Seattle.
Roxanne Nevarez
Every time I am in Seattle I am going to Etta's. Their Double burger is incredible. And the fries that come with it? Fuhgetaboutit. But then remember it because they're next level! We also orderd some bread and butter to start, the butter is the perfect temperature, drizzled with local olive oil and topped with shaved sea salt... Just Go. Just Eat!
Corey R
Yum! Go for some oysters and fish & chips. It's close to Pike Place and a whole bunch of great shopping.
Armando Yaws-Gonzalez
Tried this out for Seattle Restaurant Week. The portions we GREAT no skimping out here! The mussels were perfectly cooked with a flavorful sausage, celerly, fennel(?) broth. The main course was a seasonal pumpkin/squash fettuccini noodle dish that did not disappoint and was quite filing for the size and being vegetarian. Dessert was a pecan pie with a tiny scoop of buttermilk ice cream. Great contrast between the two - the pie wasn't too sweet nor was it soupy (so hard to find!). I'd be back at full price.
Parker Helble
Food was ok. Some in our party had mussels that were a little fishy. Hominy and peas was pretty good though! Seems a little overpriced, but maybe that's just the location.
Chip Weisel
Joelle provided great service. The oysters and Dungeness crab were very good. And the "Rub with Love" Salmon was fantastic. Great food. Good value.
Kevin Jones
Great food as always. Only complaint is that our martini's were warm. Rather than send them back and wait we added ice from our water.
Alex Fadeev
Upscale presentation, environment, and prices. Just OK food: salmon was alright, beef was over-dry and tasteless. Presentation, plating and service we're great.
Jim Frenowsky
I had the Alaskan Cod, and it was fresh and succulent! Very good. It's a slightly cramped space, but reasonably so for being on the shore in the middle of tourist central. Good vibes.
Robert Lerner
Terrific food, two blocks from Pikes Marketplace
Brandon Hampton
Very average food for a very high price. A s I have traveled from Ohio I was expecting more for my dollar. I also saw them on the travel channel and the portions seemed to be much larger then what my family and I actually received......overall it's just average.
Nicholas G
Good place if you want seafood but if you are with a group thatsi s looking for a diverse selection of foods there are much better options within walking distance in the same area. The service was good though and very accommodating to our group.
CAMANO MARINE
My family went for dinner December 26, 2012 to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday. This was our first time to one of Tom Douglas's restaurants and I must say we were all very disappointed in the quality of the food. I had the Fish Stew, which had a very strong "fishy taste". The crab in the dish was stringing and appeared to be canned crab and several of the clams and mussels were not open. My daughter had the tuna. Her only comment was that it was probabily the worse dinner she ever had in a restaurant. My husband and son had the fish and chips. They both thought it was ok, but but no better an an Appleby or other inexpensive chain restaurant
Justin Sharp
I wasn't terribly impressed by this place. My other colleagues were but me not so much. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice place, the food was good and our server was great, but it seemed more like a $30 meal than a $75 meal. i.e. expensive for what it was.
Jerry Situmorang
We ordered the Alaskan king crab and Dungeness crab. The local Dungeness crab had so much flavor! Great service as well, since we took our 2 lil boys with us, the staff were very friendly and helpful!
Patrick Simonson
Delightful staff and fantastic food. Our hostess was gracious, informative, and attentive. We tried several foods out of our comfort zone, and each dish was excellent.
Texas Spine & Sports Rehab
Great food at a reasonable price. The environment was clean and up to date. The service is ok due to mandatory gratuity charges. The triple coconut pie is amazing.
William Harbison
I stopped in here with some family that was in from out of town. Its a very busy place however i never noticed a lack in service. The server paid us plenty of attention keeping the drinks filled and the food was served it seemed just 10 min after ordering. Highly recommended place.
Tim McGrew
Good service and good food. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that the value is not great in that I paid $36 for a poor cut of New York strip. I could get a better cut of meat at a crappy grocery store.
S Leavitt
One of my favorite restaurants. Pricey, but fabulous seafood ( rub with love salmon with cornbread pudding, crab cakes chowder and a lot more)
Cris Tee
Nice atmosphere and view, but I walked out before I ordered: Etta's now adds a 20% service charge to all checks. And if you don't like that idea, you'll like even less the fact that you will be charged tax on that 20%! Etta's can do whatever they like, but they will pay the consequences. Plenty of people feel as I do, that what a customer pays for service should be base on the quality of that service. I don't like the idea of your 20% (plus tax) service charge for unknown service anymore than I like every Tom, Dick and Harry that stands on the other side of a counter from a paying customer putting out a tip jar and feeling entitled.
Matthew Blalock
Ordered the crab cakes. Way too small for the price because they are tasteless. Barely tasted the crab an too much breading. Father got pasta and did not enjoy it either.
Jess Tupper
Of all things, Etta's has the best grilled cheese sandwich of all the Tom Douglas restaurants. (No. Really.) It's cute, right next to Seatown Seabar, and the staff are amazing. As it's near the market, expect it to get packed during tourist season, so if you're a local, plan accordingly. Come for the fresh food, stay for more fresh food.
Previn Marquez
The fried seafood combo was excellent and reasonably priced. Great service. In Seattle, a 20% tip is added automatically, just be aware...
S Misra
Expensive even in HH.... three of my friends went for HH and we paid 50 bucks per head.. we shared one small HH plate two drinks each. Food was good but 50 bucks is quite expensive plus 20% service charge. Its high for a crabby hour as they say.
Marianne
Food was good but not enough 'healthy' choice imo (I'd loved grilled fish or calamari!). Prices are too high. Margarita was good. Service was awesome.
A- Ashley
Great cuisine, hands down. Best Clam Chowder i've tasted thus far, whether in San Francisco or Seattle. Spent 4 days in Seattle and ate here 3 out of the 4 days.
Ray S (raysun)
A great Tom Douglass seafood restaurant. Contemporary fare, great cocktails, in an upscale setting. Don't overlook the coconut cream pie for dessert.
Michael Delles
Excellent food and a great place to bring people that are visiting from out of town. The staff was attentive, friendly, and had some great suggestions for pairings or things to try.
Alexis Mongeon
Bar tender was amazing! Made great drinks and gave great tips around the area! The food was good too! I would recommend stopping by!
James McNulty
Absolutely fantastic food. The seafood bowl was great. The salmon was delicious and the crab cakes are a much suggested appetizer!
Glenn K
Nice wine list and great food. The cod fish and chips were perfect. Crab cakes are great... mostly crab.
Wanyi Li
Emma, Paris, Kate make you feel loved. Best food all around with best people and atmosphere. Must visit when in Seattle. Cannot miss! Calamari, tuna sashimi, oyster must get!
Wade Johnson
Crab cakes were light and fluffy. Lots of meat and little filler. Server was amazing, giving me a list of local hot spots. Thanks! Recommended.
Ryan McCauley
Delicious and exceptionally nice staff. Loved it here and had outstanding food. Would definitely visit again the next time I'm in town!
Brian Hughes
Our server Emma took care of us with great service. Food is fantastic with artistic and balanced color. atmosphere pleasant.
Steve Richards
Etta's offers excellent food and very friendly service near one of Seattle's most iconoclastic and fascinating centers, the Pike Place Market. They offer outside dinning that provides a front row seat on market activities and views of Elliot Bay.
Kenard Puchalski
Had Dungeness crab for the first time here. Sweet and succulent. They also had Smashed potatoes, fried and seasoned with rosemary. And a couple of Gin martinis to top it all off.
Olga Zinoveva
Awesome seafood; their fish rub is delectable. Their fries are some of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The service was also very friendly.
Anthony Monaco
Great place, fantastic food, excellent service. Cant say enough good things. My birthday brunch is always here.
Jackie Hanlon
Food was incredible and service was quick and attentive.
Becky Curran Kekula
Friendly staff and quick service. I highly recommend the Northwest Seafood Stew. The oysters were great too. I look forward to going back!
Charles K
One of Tom Douglas's signature restaurants located just outside of Pike Place Market. If you're looking for fresh seafood and want to treat yourself out, make sure to put this on your list. The ETTA's "Rub with Love" SALMON, grilled scallops, crab cakes and the clam chowder, with bacon are delicious!
Ellen Gray
Etta's has some of the best seafood, ever! From the oysters on the half shell, clam chowder, shrimp, cod to the fries oysters all were excellent!
Mirajul Haque Shaikh
Best chips and fries among all the places I remember. Crab cake was very smooth and had a great smell. :)
Scott Nelson
Just stopped in for lunch alone on a quiet weekday, and I was treated and fed like a king. The restaurant is on the casual side, but the waiter was very attentive, and the food was excellent. I will be back!
Jason Hoag
We only stopped in to get some crab cakes to go after walking all along the market. These crab cakes are a true treat and are worth going out of your way to get them.
Jamie McDaniels
my favorite part of my first trip to Seattle. some of the best food and wine I've ever had. you must eat here. it's next to pike market and the water, which adds to the appeal
Neo Xplores
Great seafood, try the Northwest stew!
Nicholas deChadenedes
Excellent fresh seasonal menu. Nice variety of seafood and service is great. When visitors ask for a seafood restaurant this is one of our top recommendations.
Jacob Lentin
One of the best places, if anything try the fish and chips! Can't begin to describe how great this place is. They also have sweetish fish at the front!
BRUCE ELLIOTT
Suggest that you come here at the end of the day when you're ready to sit down and enjoy a really solid fresh seafood meal and the way the meals are prepared is truly inspiring coming from Florida where we have tons of seafood also I truly enjoyed the whole thing here thank you for having me enjoy
Marcus Wright
Pricey, but hey it's on the waterfront and the seafood is wonderful. The other food may be good, too, but why would you order anything besides seafood at Etta's?
Mark Whitmer
Nice Tom Douglas Restaurant in the Market. High quality food, local ingredients. We had a great time and it is nice to have experienced servers.
Shelly H
Had a long day of walking and decided to do an order to go of Etta's "Rub with Love" salmon! Delicious! Love the cornbread pudding!
Shawn Butz
OMG...get the Charred Brussels Sprouts appetizer...one of the best things I have ever eaten. You will not be sorry...Not your typical brussel sprouts... They have been risen up to something mythical.
Anthony brock
Went for the 1st time on Feb 16 my wife asked for the special which was posted in the window of half crab for $25 ( a month long special) but went i received the bill i was charged $34 the regular price, I wasn't in the mood of challenging the server on the ptice because we had a flight to catch within the next 3 hrs outside of that everthing was fine
Marie Anselmo
Stopped for lunch ..what a diamond in the rough! With all the mass confusion at Pike's Market a block away we found Etta's. Tired & hungry we had an amazing lunch .
Simone Rondelli
Food is good but pricy, I don't think the price justify the quality. We got the Crab and the Tuna, both portions where not that big but the food was good.
Roger Dodger
We enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service. The location offers a good view of the waterfront park. Would visit again!
Shawn Poindexter
The crab salad comes with very little crab (maybe 1/2 ounce). The salad was tasty but over priced relative to the other options.
Cody Rogalski
Only got the fish n chips and that was amazing so I'm sure everything else is amazing too. Great environment and the staff is super friendly.
Rob T Vazquez
Very cool spot. Food is expensive, but very unique flavor combinations are explored. (It's good!) Wait and host staff are awesome!!!
Wolf Spirit
Tasty but a tad expensive and fancy, good for a special occasion
alex a
Overpriced with nothing with the wow factor. Order the full crab it was excellent, side oder of fries were cold and not my favorite. Services friendly.
Andrew Eller
Friendly staff and fun location. The crab eggs benedict was good, but the other food was just fine.
Kent Keller
Really good food and good service. Just far enough from Pikes Place Market that it's not packed. Try the oysters, really good.
Rob Cruz
It's a long wait specially when you ordered steak and it end up being too salty. Although i like the varieties of food in my plate... the saltiness just ruined it..
William T Peck II
Best clam chowder I've ever had. There is so much flavor in every dish, I can't describe how amazing this place was!

Emma Greer
Food was decent although somewhat overpriced, but the staff felt cold and aloof rather than hospitable. We got the impression that they did not appreciate that we brought a child. I would not return.
Andrew Taylor
People moaning about it being expensive or seafood only have a word with yourself. 1. It is smack in the middle of tourist central, in prime real estate and 2. It's a seafood restaurant. Good seafood and good service.
Alex Zaks
the food was somewhat disappointing considering the prices - not bad overall but lacked the spark. Good service, nice ambiance.
Kerwin Burton
Service was disapointing, food was great. Unnecessary wait to get seated, once we did, the crab egg bene's were great.

Pretty good food but quite pricey considering the food is pretty straighforward and there is no view. Perhaps it is just the prime location that drives the prices.
