Reviews of Duke's Seafood
HB
The food is really good here. I ordered salmon and it was cooked perfectly tender.
The creamy butter and the pesto sauce with bits of pine nut went really well with the salmon. I liked the way the potato and asparagus were cooked, it
Crunchy and yet it had the nice rosemary flavor incorporated.
The sourdough bread was just warm with salted butter can look simple but when you have that first bite you understand the goodness.
I walked-in to the restaurant as I was passing by this place. It was around 5pm and there was lot of empty tables and yet the staff didn’t seat me in a table. I found this ostentatious.
They have valet service and I believe they take care of the parking.

The foods were delicious. Decent views of the marina from the outdoors deck. Service was prompt, our server was very nice and courteous. I ordered shrimp tacos and my husband had the cod tacos. Good sized portions and came on the very cute fish plates. Lots of shrimp in my tacos with colored peppers, onion and a tasty sauce. There's also a sauce on the side that's super tasty. My husband liked his cod tacos, loaded with fresh tasting fish and cheese, sauce and various toppings. Portions were good sizes. Came with fresh chips. Overall we had a nice experience and definitely would be back. This's the Duke's at Lake Union.

Went here for the gluten free clam chowder and oh my goodness it was so good.
We had the maple seafood bites and deviled eggs with crab as well, and they were amazing. (All gluten free!) The oysters were very fresh and served with some great cocktail sauce. I don’t know our waiters name but he was super amazing. Answered all my gluten free questions.

We came looking for a seafood restaurant on the Lake Union and found the perfect place! We ordered the crab cakes which had the perfect amount of crab (and not the fillers). We also ordered Pacific cod and Pan seared salmon. We also came during happy hour and they have an extensive variety of appetizers/drinks/lunch items to choose from compared to most other happy hour seafood establishments. Highly recommend this place for seafood lovers!

I am aware that some locals might disagree but I had some really good clam chowder at the place. It is a pricey joint but the food and service was impeccable. The devilled eggs with the crab was also quite delicious. They even served a small menu with the dishes for us to take back home, alongside the food which I thought was quite creative.

Love happy hour here! They are also VERY accommodating to parties with kids for how busy they get. Recently attended an event on the pavement patio and it was beautiful. A must go for a visit to Seattle. The salmon pesto bites are my favorite, the crab cakes are tasty even if crab isn’t your favorite! Photos are non specific but show the unfiltered aesthetic.

Duke’s is an amazing seafood restaurant with a casual, laid back atmosphere. Great views over South Lake Union and fun decorations inside to fit the view. The salmon and crab cakes are excellent and I would definitely come again.
Food
The salmon pasta was one of my favorite dishes that I tried. The salmon was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy and I loved eating it with the white sauce. The vegetables were a nice touch and went well with the pasta.
I would highly recommend getting the crab cake if you have a chance. The menu says that it’s mostly crab and not a lot of cake and that was definitely true. Tons of crab on top of a slice of bread. Make sure to scoop up some sauce.
Atmosphere
The inside is decorated with a seaside feel and gives it a casual vibe. The views of the lake are nice and unobstructed. During the summer, Dukes is a perfect place to enjoy the lake.
Pricing
The prices for food here is on the higher side (as it is seafood). The food is good though and the views and vibes are worth paying for in my opinion.
Service
The service was really good and the wait staff was very nice and good at answering any questions. Food came out quick.

My wife surprises me for my birthday. We sit table #2 that you can see the awesome view. Food was tasty, server treated us extra nice, and they offered free dessert for my birthday (no charge). Only thing is there is no restaurant parking lot due to close by pier. But, the parking fee was only $5 (not that bad). I think it is a lot better eat this place than one that nearby alki beach.

We were only in Seattle for the weekend but we knew we wanted a seafood experience while there. It just made complete sense 😎
Saw wonderful reviews of Dukes Seafood and we can see why. We are from both coasts and East and West agreed just beautiful.
Service was spot on and made it that much more enjoyable.
Blood Orange Margarita perfect. Super Calamari Strips fresh and served with just right combination of breading and spice.
The award winning clam chowders a must. The Lobster Mobster was good but I was floored by the Clam Chowder. It’s NE style taken up a level trust me.
Our main courses were Prawn, Scallops and Crab “Uncake” and Dungeness Crab filled stuffed Halibut . Perfectly served and made us both realize how much we miss restaurants that can serve seafood at this level.
Highly recommend you visit Duke’s.

Amazing!! Best clam chowder I’ve ever had. Cozy place and fantastic service, Jeff is the best. The amount of gluten free food options is outstanding. We traveled 30min just to try the clam and it worth it!
Bill Rizzo
So good we went back the next night! The food was amazing. The wait staff was extremely professional and busy. The outside seating was awesome. Heaters on the rail kept the outside and the next row of table comfortable. The crab stuffed halibut with the sauce was fantastic. Fish tacos, 🌮 yum. The best I've ever had. So fresh. The lobster mafia and clam chowder was superb. And of course the fresh oysters was great. ( yes, this is two nights worth of dinners. )
Scott Abajian
What a great location for dinner and drinks overlooking Lake Union. We had the award-winning clam chowder (superb!) and the panko-breaded fish and chips. Very thick cuts of cod and not greasy. Highly recommended!
Prannay Reddy
Had an awesome lunch. The fish & chips as well as the loco loco prawns were good. The chowder is award winning and yummy. The views from the seating are great. Try to get outdoor seating and enjoy the lake union views.
Anna Williams
We loved the decor of the restaurant - fishing rods and full sized boats.
Took kids for lunch after walk near lake Union.
Food was good, kids menu food also good and definitely more leveled up than average kids menu food you would get. My kids keep talking about lemonades they choose from the kids menu - blubbery and strawberry, we even got some to go.
The place is pricey but the location, views and sustainable seafood are worth it.
Daniel Gerland
Truly a special treat. There was a wait for a table so I sat at the bar, and the service was prompt, friendly, and professional. I loved all the gluten free options on the menu. The views over the lake were fantastic, even at the bar there were mirrors above that displayed the marina beautifully. Everything tasted amazing and the atmosphere really captured everything you look for in a seafood joint!

Duke's is always on the list to visit when we are in town. Awesome location on the water with heated outdoor seating. There are typically tables available and the service is super quick and friendly. The drinks are fantastic, with one of the table favorites being the Award Winning Chowder. The appetizers such as the crab cakes are always a hit as well! Very kid friendly as well with high chairs and great service from the waitresses.

Delicious food! The menu is a bit overwhelming but enjoyed the special oysters, a taste of the award winning clam chowder, the special scallops & ravioli dish and bourbon glazed salmon.
Swanky Christy
My favorite lunch spot on the weekend. I love their lobster mobster soup and signature bloody mary that comes with shrimp. Love the fish quesadilla and very delicious crab cake. We also tried their ice cream that is local and so creamy and delicious.
Destinee Sanders
You cannot go wrong with this menu. I come here when I need solid comfort food. The cajun Corn Chowder is one of my favorites especially in the sourdough bread bowl. Had the Duke and The King for my drink this time and it was fabulous. Also tried the Brookie and it was a bit much for just little ol me would recommend sharing this dessert for sure.
Doug Fischer
On a trip to Seattle, we were staying across the street and stopped here as soon as we got in because we were starving. They sat us right away which was nice, food came quick. We came at happy hour as well and some orders had discounts. Beautiful view of the water, all the food we got was good, clam chowder was decent but I've def had much better. Server was nice, really have no complaints aside from how expensive it is but that was expected anyway given the location. I'd go back for sure.
Ted DeRuyter
Took the family to enjoy some seafood. Place was very busy, so be sure to make a reservation. While it took awhile for the food, the staff was friendly & helpful. Food was very good.
Xavier Brown
First time in Seattle and this was the only meal I had. Plenty of options on the menu. With me being gluten-free they were very accommodating(that'd a big deal for me) Seafood items were perfect!
I loved what I ate as well. Definitely wanna make it back here, next time im in town
Jenna Truttschel
Was a little disappointed that my food was brought out at three different times. I ordered the combo of salad, soup, and entree (fish taco). First they brought soup, waited til that was gone and brought salad. Finished salad and finally brought entree. Was hoping to have all three together. Besides that, the food was quite tasty! Can’t beat the chowder.
The 2 Wheel Don
The food was bomb!! I love seafood and this spot did not disappoint. The waiter was very friendly, our food came out quickly and the view of the water was amazing, 5 stars for me!!
Jaclyn Barrientes
Wanted to try some nice fresh seafood while we were in Seattle and because I knew we'd be in the area, I made a reservation for an outdoor lunch at Duke's. The view is amazing and refreshing, and the service was great. But the food... oh my golly, the food! Everything we ate was delicious. I've ever had calamari steaks before but I don't think I can ever go back to regular O-shaped ones. The salmon pasta dish was amazing. Please try the chicken corn chowder!
Trypp Adams
You're greeted by a large staircase and then some luke warm hostesses who hand you a menu and point you towards your seat.
I sat at the bar, it was the end seat and roughly half my space was taken up by bar ingredients or tools. I ordered the 3 piece meal with fish and chips.
Bread basket - the surprise star of the show, enjoy it while it's warm!
Ceasar salad - looked great, big chunks of parmesan, dressing was runy and lacked flavor
Award winning clam chowder - fantastic, rich, creamy, delicious
Fish & chips - Delicious, two pieces of cod, appropriate amount of breading, generous amount of tartar sauce, fries were good.
The bartender didn't stop moving the whole time I was there. I almost skipped on the bread, DON'T DO IT, the bread is amazing.
Angela
Yum! Great service and great seafood. We ordered the calamari, the chowder sampler and the fish and chips. The calamari might've been the best calamari I've ever had. The sampler was great for trying out what you like, and the fish and chips were fresh and not too heavy. We loved everything and look forward to coming back to try other dishes.

Alberta tourist in Seattle!
What a stellar experience! Decided to check this place out as I had a hankering for oysters and this place not only had great reviews but was located just down the street from my hotel!
The staff were absolutely amazing.
My oysters and salmon sliders were perfect and the sourdough bread was dangerously delicious. The cocktails were also on point.
Would absolutely recommend!

The food here is so good, highly recommended the crab dip and I love getting the green salad with add grilled salmon. Great quality, service, and restaurant experience every time. Another great date spot or place to come with family or friends
Daniel Schoepflin
Very Busy, reservations are a must. Food was great stuffed halibut, my wife and I each had one of the two options. Macadamia nut, and crab stuffed. Son had seafood on pasta.
Rene Ledezma
I was in Seattle for a night and I wanted to try good seafood as I've heard great things about Seattle's seafood scene. I did a lot of research and given the time I was going to have dinner at Duke's was one of my only options that was open past 9 p.m. and am I glad this was the place I went to! The food was delicious, I went for small plates to try as many things as I could. The star of the show was the grilled shrimp! But the chowder and maple bacon bites were also excellent. If I am ever back in Seattle I am certainly coming here again.
Mitch Fisher
Great views and food. The chowder lives up to the hype! Plenty of parking nearby. I reserved a table using OpenTable and had no issues. Brought guests visiting from out of town and they were thoroughly pleased with everything. Go for sunset!
Fahad Aqeel
This was a great dining experience top to bottom. The service was just right, nothing more, nothing less. And the food was just divine. Oh and great views too.
Sara Baquero-Garcia
The food was good as well as the service but it was a bit too pricey for what it was with a $39 table for a good but normal piece of salmon with a few pieces of zucchini and red potatoes. So, good food, but be ready to pay and also, even pay for parking extra. Service was good. All in all pleasant afternoon, not sure I will return as supposed to go to other just as good and not so expensive restaurants.
Michael Oden & Alina Ugas
This is a must for dinner. We sat at the bar, Greg and Fernando make a great team. The drink was perfect and the food was great! Will definitely come back when in town again.
Brendan Zhang
Food was alright. Fish and chips weren’t worth the price for quality of fish. The clam chowder was good though. Cocktail was ok.
Kevin Chen
The location is great, you get a nice view of Lake Union. Food was decent, I got the halibut quesadilla and the award winning clam chowder. The halibut quesadilla was great, but on the salty side. The clam chowder is not winning any awards in my book, however, as it was too salty and tasted more like gravy than clam chowder. I couldn't taste the clam in that chowder. Service was good, just as you'd expect. Oh, and there's free bread and butter, which is a win.
Jennifer Stewart
Great night out! My first time to Duke’s after hearing good reviews from friends. Perfect weather to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous view by the water. Some feel the menu is pricey, but I’m willing to pay for quality ingredients. Enjoyed warm sourdough bread, the salmon sliders, a side salad, and marionberry pie that I will be dreaming about tonight 😊
Frank Jones
Great patio views. Sourdough bread is the best of the best. Crab deviled eggs were good. Service was excellent!
Kevin Koperski
The clam chowder was amazing. The views are lovely. On a busy Friday night, the staff managed to get us a seat quickly, as long as we were out before a reservation 80 minutes later. Service was great and quick and we were finished in plenty of time without ever feeling rushed. Fantastic meal and experience.
Darrell Richards
Our visit visit was absolutely amazing.
Duke's does it right!!
You can't miss..
the weather cooperated and we sat outside, Thank you dukes for providing us with a great experience..
We will be back!

On a recent work trip to Seattle, my focus was on good fresh seafood of course! Dukes Seafood was recommended to us by the hotel staff. The food was served hot and fresh (I enjoyed the Dungeness Crab Stuffed Just For The Halibut, pictured first. Also shown in the photos are the Ragin' Cajun Chicken Corn Chowder and The Pope's Seafood Cioppino) They are located right on Lake Union and the evening views are really beautiful! We had a large group of 14 and they took good care of us all.
Marcelo Gondim
Amazing location and food! Delicious chowders and bread. Staff very friendly but need to be reminded of preferences. Remember to pay for parking before you enter.
Abraham Lemas
Delicious eats and a view to enjoy all afternoon for everyone in the family, great choices for appetizers and a staff that will leave you wanting to return again to enjoy it all over again!
Ashley Madeira
We started our trip here as they were open later than a lot of places and had a good view of the lake. The chowders are VERY good. My favorite was the Northwestern chowder. Both of our meals were very good and tasted fresh. I had the mixed grill and my husband has the crab stuffed salmon.
Andrew Woodfield (meeQsa)
What a view... Also captivated by it. I literally forgot to take a picture of it. Definitely worth the wait of sitting outside, but if it's windy it might be chilly... BUT GUESS WHAT?! They offer you BLANKIES! Soft cozy blankies to wrap your legs in while you eat and enjoy the gorgeous view fresh air and chilly breeze. Yup. Total win.
Isaac Nuss
There is a reason it's voted number one seafood in Seattle. Super fresh. Flavor filled sea food with fun dish names making the whole experience enjoyable. Cioppiono was filled with seafood in every spoonful. Definitely will go again if in the Seattle area.
Varun Sarma
Massive restaurant with fantastic views of Lake union. They also have outdoor seating with heaters setup. Food was tasty but a bit too pricy..the crab cake appetizer was around $19 for one piece.. The service was excellent though. Will definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in SLU and want to try some good seafood.
Patricia Harris
Good location, crowded inside & outside by the water. Reservations recommded, but walk-ins welcome. Famous for various chowder soups & fresh seafood. Friendly staff with attentive servers.
Stellar Kennels
The restaurant overlooks the water is nice. The service was really slow. The waiter was flat up poor. The food quality was excellent but the portion sizes were in the small size for the prices. We order carrot cake for dessert and it was tiny for $10. You can eat us in 4 bites easily. The experience could have been better for sure. I would look for another seafood place. This wasn’t good enough to try again.
Cameron Cowart
Wonderful seafood place right on the lake. If you have the chance and the weather is cooperating, definitely sit outside. Watching the sea planes land and take off was a nice treat.
Even though they only had two options for oysters that day, they were great, and any dish featuring the cod is great. Cocktails are tasty and they had good burgers for the person in our party that didn't eat fish.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Georgine Okura
Had a lovely dinner. Delicious food, great atmosphere, right on the Union Lake. Attentive wait staff.
Casey
Good quality food, great views, spotty service.
I arrived around 6pm on a Tuesday and was seated inside next to the window immediately. There was a wait for the patio but it was already getting chilly so I opted to stay indoors. I waited about ten minutes with no greeting before I got up to ask someone to send my server over, and whom I interacted with a total of twenty seconds my entire visit. The support staff that filled my water and got my servers were very nice and helpful though.
Ok but the food. The bread basket was excellent, half of a warm sourdough boule with butter - I didn’t expect to eat it all and yet the tangy, crunchy on the outside and pillowy chewy on the inside I couldn’t help myself. Also ordered one of each of the two oysters they had that day, a Kumamoto and something else. The Kumamoto was sweet and creamy and delicious as usual, the other was SO small (which is saying something compared to the Kumamoto as those are pretty small already) I could barely taste it. They came with a nice cocktail sauce and some sort of granita/shaved ice.
Also got the half wild child salad with a crab cake, no blue cheese. Salad was fine, fresh citrus, candied pecans - but the crab cake was delicious. All meat inside, well seasoned and creamy, the breadcrumbs on the outside made for a very crispy crust but didn’t weigh it down. It was smaller than I expected for a $15 supplement though.
For dessert ordered the pier pie. A layer of coffee and a layer of chocolate ice cream on top of a chocolate cookie crust. I ordered it since I love the Miller Ale House’s Captain Jacks buried treasure pie (Oreo, heath bar, caramel and fudge) and this was less interesting in comparison.
Come here for perhaps special occasions where you have money to drop and are craving seafood, but note that service may be hit or miss depending on your server.
Parking for this location is available in the lot attached to the restaurant, I believe anywhere from 1-3 hours is $5 flat rate.

Duke's is a Seattle staple. Amazing food, great atmosphere.
Dukes makes for a wonderful date night, be it a first date or the hundredth date. The patio is well worth waiting for if you're looking for a calm evening and wonderful view of Lake Union.
Their chowder is second to none. The chowder and fish and chips combo? Banger. Never had an issue with any of their cocktails, but definitely ask if you've got questions: the staff know the menu inside and out.
I've had dishes I didn't love, but never something that I couldn't finish.
I always start with the crab dip.
DEBORAH FLUHART
Delicous! We had clam chowder, lobster monster chowder, Dungeness crab cake sandwich, Fish & Chips, Northern Oysters and a burger. Everyone was pleased with their selections, food was hot and tasty. Oysters were light and delicate. Went at happy hour and got a few discounts. Would reccomend reservations.
Patty Ferreira
Food was good, not outstanding. Salmon sandwich was dripping with grease. Chowder was average. Calamari outstanding for sure. Had reservations but still had to wait 10 minutes to sit.
Maryam I
This is one of my favorite places to eat. The staff are friendly, the quality of food is always great and the balcony has a great view. Their chowders are really delicious and a must if you haven't tried yet. I've tried pretty much everything on their menu and I've never been disappointed.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the quality of the cocktails is not consistent.
Ben Lewis
Eating on the deck here is fantastic, especially in the summer with evenings that go on forever. When it's not a nice warm evening, they have radiant heaters, so don't fret that too much.
Start your evening with the crab dip; it's seriously worth it. The chowders are fantastic, the pasta is delightful, fish & chips are great… I also really like the bacon-wrapped scallops, but they're very much just a bite each.
Beverages: they mix some great drinks here. I loved their Manhattan, and my boyfriend got a peach drink which was, while not my thing, delicious. Plus their coffee's good, if you like an after-dinner coffee.
Samuel Mostad
Food is always good. Think we had a new server though. Our water glasses never got refilled, and she brought the wrong app, calamari, we had ordered prawns she implied we order the calamari until I mentioned we had asked "if they were fully cooked and how many there were" to which she had replied 6. She left the calamari for us to finish but it wasn't crispy because they are steak strips which was why we hadn't ordered them in the first place.
To conclude we had the awesome dessert "I want you so bad" that's it's name. It's and amazing Marion berry crumble with two big scoops of ice-cream and feeds three easy. Oh and the fish and chips always the best.
Ivette Carbajal
Nice view and the food is delicious. Tried the stuffed salmon and it is one of the best meals I ate while visiting Seattle.
Sebastian R Gonzalez
This place was pretty good, small menu for a seafood joint especially for one that right by the Pacific and in the bay. I come from Chicago and we have seafood joints with bigger menus; anyway. This restaurant was one to remember, especially the outside structure looking like a boat. That’s, something I won’t forget. Inside was a a bit dark, but we sat outside with an astonishing view.
The waiter was very cheery, helped with the menu, and if I may say, the clam chowder, is something I’ll get again when I’m back.
The dinner overall wasn’t bad, we had the crab cake sandwich, which personably the huge amount of bread was unnecessary, maybe little bread, to make sure we taste the crab cakes. (Crab cakes were outstanding.)
I had a salmon in whiskey sauce, which it was delicious, I’d get again.
I recommend this place for a dinner with a view, just be prepared for a small menu. Salmon is great, crab cakes are delicious and clam chowder is outta this world.
Maya Bender
The service was quick and friendly. The food was quite pricey, but absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I had the cioppino. It was loaded with seafood and the broth was flavorful with just a hint of spicy heat. The special, Thai ginger halibut with coconut sticky rice was inspired. It was a fantastic meal!
Eddie Tseng
We didn’t make a reservation and need to wait for 30 mins for indoor seats. If you want to seat outside, probably need to wait a little bit more time.
The food was really good, especially oysters. Unfortunately, I forgot what kind of oyster we ate haha……
Erwin Muniruzaman
Have a dinner for 3 persons by reservation.
It was a nice dinner.
Taste good, price reasonable, good view, cozy ambience, nice staff especially our talkative waiter 😊
Patty Anne Kristofzski
Perhaps take this review w/ a pound rather than grain of salt.
Husbeast and I had gotten wonderful news at my 39 wk pregnancy appointment and decided to go to a new restaurant for both our last outing w/o 2 children under 2 and to celebrate Husbeast's 32nd birthday. We expected a wait, which was entirely reasonable at 45mins on the dot! We definitely knew going out impromptu at 5-7pm in Seattle would mean potentially waiting longer than an hour for a seat. (It should be noted that the Host & Hostess were polite as heck!) However after this is when our visit went downhill.
There were 2 servers for our section, our waiter was inattentive and quite slow. It took almost 15 mins to even greet us at the table and another 10 to even get water and an acknowledgement of our drink orders. While the other waiter for the table behind us would come by almost exactly every 5-10 mins to check on their guests or drop something off. We waited closer to 15-25 mins between stops.
We can in fact state that the Stuffed Shrimp dish and Crab cake sandwich combo were POSITIVELY delicious. The crab cakes are true to their word, mostly crab! The lobster mobster chowder is off the chain amazing!! The stuffed shrimp was perfectly cooked, mouth watering and paired w/ the potatoes + zucchini & pesto? DIVINE as HECKIN'HECK!! Further this is the best coconut shrimp appetizer this size of Hawaii!
However, once again, the long wait times w/ no explanation and seeing our waiter work so diligently at the other tables right next to us soured the experience. We were never asked how the food was and it was like pulling teeth to get a drink refill. (Or as hinted earlier get our waiters attention, a basket of bread etc) Overall we had a positive impression of the food, but are not likely to go back. The other patrons in our section received more prompt attention than we did and that ultimately soured our opinion of Duke's.
Alynn Nguyen
Great customer service. We enjoyed the cucumber Mojito there, you gotta try it ( have them add extra fresh lime for you). We had happy hours platters. Simple and fresh ingredients.
J C (PhoKingTerrible)
Had a great evening. Stopped in on a whim for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. Sat at the bar as the line for a table was long but moving quickly. Still didn't want to wait. Bar staff was quick and polite. The guy tender from Boston was hilarious but knew to keep his distance since I was there with my wife. Not bothering us basically. Overall had a great time and would recommend it to others. Bit pricey but hell you only live once. Cheers
Mark Dowlatkhah
Nice atmosphere and great food. We ordered the salmon sandwich and a seafood salad. The Must have mules were amazing, spicy and unique and the calamari strips were perfectly cooked. Sadly, we didn't have room for desert but will try some on a future visit. Would highly recommend it 👌 …
Licia Chang
Great lake view from 2nd floor. Outdoor seating is dog friendly.
Jeffery Agyekum Adjei
Beautiful restaurant, perfect for a celebration, and regular days too. Adam, our waiter, was very on the ball and knowledgeable about the menu. My bloody Mary was delicious, as was my taco dish.
Amelia Capilongo
The best calm chowder! Amazing outdoor views and service. Salmon was overcook a little bit.
Carla Stevens
This was a last minute choice for a late lunch. Glad we did. Really liked the Lobster chowder. Think it is better than their famous chowder. Deviled eggs with crab appetizer were yummy. Try the fish and chips if you like this dish.
Matthew Feller
The award winning clam chowder has some of the most tender clams and complex flavor I've tasted. It's hard to be thrilled about a small amount of soup for a high price, but this chowder packs a punch.
We had a stuffed salmon and blackened salmon, both of which were wildly impressive. Overall the food was delicious and worth the high price tag.
Service was average and not overly impressive in any particular way. But it was decent enough not to knock a star away from the 5 star food.
Liam Lian
All in all a great place! Delicious food, great service, beautiful view of the harbour. Chowders are insanely fresh. A destination!
Annette Washington
Love this place! They really go out of their way to make you you feel special and and they have excellent food!
How can you go wrong?
Madison Mazur
This place was awesome! Went for happy hour; got the crab dip, grilled shrimp and salmon sandwich and split it with one other person. We got two mixed drinks (super delicious) and spent about $75 per person.
Chetan D K
Taste was good, friendly staff. Good place to visit you can experience Lake view of Lake Union.

Had a reservation, was seated quickly. Ordered cocktails, chowder and mains, we hadn't even finished out Digny soups before the mains came. We had mentioned wanting wine with dinner and our waitress didn't come to check on us for quite a while and no other servers around to call over (although there were a bunch of staff standing around talking). Felt rushed the whole meal and no attention from the waitress except at the end rushing us out the door. Brought us the dessert menu before finishing dinner.

Must come for happy hour!! They have happy hour every day from 3-6 and 9-close and the prices are good: all appetizers are $3 off, clam chowder is $3 off, sandwiches and burgers are $5 off, and $3 off cocktails! Very good deal as normal prices can be a bit expensive. Must try their salmon sliders, every bite is so mouthwatering! Can’t go wrong with the crab cake or clam chowder. I had the Peaches for Me “Skinny Hour” drink and it was surprisingly good! The restaurant has a beautiful view of the water (even on a typical rainy day). Can’t wait to come back again for happy hour.
Brian G Ramsey
Wonderful seafood in a fun environment right on the water - perfect place for lunch any day! Salmon and crab cakes were particularly good - but no one at our table had a dish they didn't enjoy. Fantastic place for great snacks from the sea
Tiffany Logan
Best clam chowder I’ve ever had!! Oysters were amazing as well 🙃
Susan Whitmarsh
Spent a couple hours here with friends from work. We shared appetizers and bread. The food was SO good, the servers fun and friendly, and we had a great time. One of our group liked it so much she scheduled another group for tomorrow.
Dr. Chris Stryker
I come to Seattle at least once a year for a dental continuing education course at the Kois Center (right next door) and every time we come here we go to Dukes. Everything on the menu is delicious, especially their "champion's chowder" I usually get the New England but this time I got the seafood and it was just as good. Will be back in Seattle in February and will definitely visit Dukes at least once!
Alan Tran
Excellent service and top tier seafood. The signature chowder is indeed the best in the world. Crab "un" Cake is highly recommended; it even comes in sandwich form. Wow. Server and hostess were attentive and prompt. Thank you!
Aditya Agrawal
Terrific food, ambience, and the service! Everything on the menu is delicious. We especially loved the chowders, especially the spicy chicken one. The crab cakes, the chef’s special thai rice, and coco loco shrimp were terrific as well!!
Sonya A
Our meal was amazing! We got the singleness deviled eggs, singleness dip and crab cake appetizers (yes there was a theme to our ordering) and it was all so delicious! I would highly recommend! Our server Debo was pleasant, attentive and accommodating with a smile. Good vibes all around and the view wasn’t so bad either :)
Alexandra Rice
Beautiful spot on the water! Very friendly staff. The food was so good here! Loved the halibut quesadilla, and the sourdough bread was the best I’ve had. The crab stuffed salmon was delicious, and you must end the night with that amazing Marionbery pie! So good!
DeVin Jones
This place was amazing. I was able to eat on the outside deck and the view was so beautiful. The food was SIMPLE DIVINE!!!! I had the 3 course meal with the clam chowder, mixed green salad and the crab cake. I am planning my next trip just to eat at different restaurants there.
Cameron Harris
Went for a birthday dinner, overall decent dining experience in terms of service and ambience. Ordered the crab cake sandwich with fries and chowder. Value for the meal was disappointing. Probably wouldn’t come back.
Raphael Puletz
Just wow! Amazing Waterfront view of South Lake Union with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are some of the best I've ever been served by and I don't say that lightly. The food is exquisite! The cod and rock fish tacos are absolutely incredible! The flavors just burst into your mouth and they are so satisfying. The wine selection is top notch. The dessert and appetizers are delectable. And Don't forget bro have some of the best fresh award winning clam chowder in the PNW!
Greg Slonim
So, this place is fantastic. Despite being a large operation, they manage to make fantastic food. Their chowder is superb.
We ordered different dishes to try:
- salmon sliders
- scallop/prawn in bacon
- chowder
- Marionberry pie
Everything, starting with their warm bread all the way to dessert was absolutely excellent. Their customer service is great and not intrusive. Their decor is great. The views are fantastic. Highly recommend.
Samantha Gucciardo
Absolutely delicious!! My mother came into town and I know she loves seafood, while I am not the biggest fan of it. Let's just say I finished my entire plate of stuffed prawns 😎 …
John David Wahrlich
Crab cakes were delicious, oysters were tasty, but the fish and chips was over cooked and rubbery. Bloody Mary was decent, but had too much ice. I’d come back for the crab cakes, but next time I’ll pass on the fish and chips.
Michelle Aschenbrenner
Love eating on the outdoor deck overlooking the marina. The service is always great. And you can't go wrong with any of the halibut dishes. Yum!
David Hunter
Delicious food with lakefront ambience!
We enjoyed wonderful sourdough bread, coconut shrimp appetizer and beverages provided by our friendly, professional server, Willow. We then savored chowders and salmon dinners with perfectly prepared vegetables, followed by a delectable berry pie! Highly recommended!
Sydney Clark
Amazing happy hour menu! We stopped in for happy hour appetizers and after ordering the chowder minis, crab cake, and grilled shrimp, ordered a second round bowl of Lobster Pernod Chowder & coconut shrimp. Also - their house sourdough bread is too darn good! Between the bread and 5 small plates we left feeling the best kind of stuffed.
Ashlee Smith-Davis
Excellent service, great views, and wonderful food! We got the stuffed prawns and the grilled chicken sandwich. Loved every bite!
Luvtoofly
Food was delicious. We had the salmon and clam chower. The menu was a little pricey but the food taste compensate. Atmosphere was good... The wait for food takes some time but we had good company so that didn't bother us.
Maia
Corn chowder and pesto salmon was delicious. My Colleagues had crab cakes sandwich and cod tacos- they all said it was excellent as well.
Mike C. Perry
I only agreed to have dinner here because my daughter, visiting from San Diego, requested it so she could have crab and oysters.
It started with my dirty martini arriving not dirty. So they added the "dirt" to the same martini, which meant it wasn't very cold when I got to drink it.
Because of my young granddaughters we were there at 5:30, and after we ordered Kumamoto oysters we were told they were out of them! So we got a dozen of the 2 kinds left. Didn't love them, but what was worse was they weren't properly shucked, so no slurping them out of the shell, you had to dig them out.
My daughter liked her Caesar topped with a lot of crab. I had the Grab Your Bibb Dungeness Crab Salad. There was a lot of crab, but it was watery. The whole salad was watery, with the Bibb lettuce chopped up tiny. The vinaigrette had good flavor, but it couldn't save the salad.
My husband's Cioppino was lacking flavor, especially the fish.
But to top it off, we waited about 20 min to get our check, hard when you have 2 toddlers. Hard for me! The server, who had been very nice, had 2 tables of 10 besides us, and just couldn't keep up. I have no desire to go back.
Ronald Smith
A beautiful place. I was impressed with the service of delivering you to the restaurant, milo. Free parking on the territory of Petropavlovsk, if you go to a restaurant. There is something to pay for. The restaurant is in a great location with stunning views. As a lover of Tom Yama, I can say unequivocally, he is not worth his money 890 rubles., it is better to take something else, since the portion is small, the serving is nothing special, the taste is worthy! Try something else better, and Tom yam has places where they cook better! It's not specialized. When there are a lot of people, the dishes clearly do not have time to clean up in a timely manner
Hayden Sovereign
Everything we had at this restaurant was amazing! The clam chowder and crab cakes are awesome, and you should definitely give them a try if you come here! I had fish and chips which were great (even the fries were delicious)! My family was all impressed with their meals as well. The service was great as well, with friendly staff who were on top of things!
Jiameng Lan
I love their decoration. We sat near the window and the sourdough bread is brilliant. The crab chowder is creamy and fresh. All the salmon and shellfish are really fresh and tasty. The pasta was also yummy, though a little bit expensive.
Alex D.
Stopped at Dukes while vacationing in Seattle. Read some great reviews and decided to give it a shot. Definitely a popular place as it was packed and our wait was about 45 min. The food we got was alright, definitely good, not mind blowing by any means though. The pricing seemed a bit steep to me for what you received portion wise. Overall, it was worth the stop, however I'm not sure I'd be inclined to stop back. The view however was very nice if you're looking for that type of place.
Bryan Hammond
Awesome location on lake Union. Outdoor seating is available even in colder months. They have heaters and offer blankets! Food was outstanding!
Denise Shackelford
I had the crab cakes, and they were the best I've ever had. The prices were good ,and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We will be returning when we visit Seattle again.
Kawika30
Their famous chowder bowl should be at the top of your list to eat. It was perfect eating outside on the covered patio with the heat lamps on a rainy day with a view! Food came out nice and quick, staff was super friendly, and gave other recommendations to sight see since we told them we were from out of state.
Alpha
What a busy restaurant, I didn't have reservation and waited for 30 minutes. The atmosphere is no thrill but with great view if sit by the windows. The award winner clam chowder is a must have, the lobster bisque is below average and a little too sweet for me. The fish dishes are fresh and breading is amazing. The crab cake is decent but Maryland's is way better. They even gave a copy of the soup recipe, interesting...
Adam Mesa
Their outdoor seating is heated but still very cold.
I ordered the calamari, chowder and got some sourdough bread with butter. The calamari and chowder was great! The sourdough was great too, but the butter was terrible. It felt like it was margarine. It was so hard and not spreadable. If I’m paying this much for food I’d like some mixed smooth butter. Instead of these blocks of unappealing ice.
Sunga Hong
Today is my birthday. Normally, I would have dine in, but I took out the food. I have visited several times before and the chowder, cioppino and crab cake are all equally delicious even though they are take out. And the person who looked like the manager was very kind. Thank you for making a happy evening!
Alicia Mullins
Our first time in Seattle, Washington and the start of our vacation we treated ourselves to a late lunch at Duke's. We started with drinks at the bar, then enjoyed an excellent meal with a waterfront view. Warm sourdough bread then deviled eggs with Dungeness crab on top. Yum! We shared a trio of clam chowder which was very flavorful. Last we had Rockfish tacos with chips. We definitely plan to visit again over the next few days. Lucky for us the temperature was comfortable with a light breeze. What a way to kick off our vacation!
S. Y. Cheung
Our friend took us to this very nice seafood and chowder restaurant by the lake. Everything we ordered taste good from the English clam chowder to the crab cake and fish taco and mussels and grilled salmon and even the Mimi Chardonnay was a good choice. Great company, good food.
Dean Stephens
It was a trip getting here due to traffic after the pride events but it was worth it! We had the stuffed prawns and stuffed halibut. Both were very good. The service was great and if we get back to Seattle we will come again.
IORGEMA AONDOAVER
The food is freaking amazing and the service is some of the best. They have an excellent menu selection and their prices are reasonable too.
L S
We came here for dinner while in town. Loved it!! Great location! Boats, water, the space Needle...great scenery!
We had a couple appetizers... coconut shrimp and shrimp citrus. Both were delicious. The citrus shrimp came with a spicy avocado salad. Perfect!
We also tried the clam chowder. It had excellent flavors with chunks of clams.
I had the stuffed shrimp. Delicious. Rich flavor with roasted veggies. We also tried the seafood gnocchi. Very tasty. The gnocchi were fluffy and full of flavor!
Great service. Nice ambiance. Fire place. Dark wood. Large windows with nice views. Definitely a good spot!!
Lindsey Russell
Went here for my birthday dinner and to watch the Sounders game. The staff was great about letting us take over a TV and helpful with suggestions as it was our first time. Looking forward to going back for happy hour sometime!
Michelle Allen
Sat outside was a little chilly, so they gave us blankets. The food was amazing. I had the fish n chips it was hot and so crispy.
Ashley Hartwell
Duke’s is a classic Seattle spot for seafood and wine that recently moved to a new location on South Lake Union that has stunning views and a ton of covered outdoor seating. The crabby deviled eggs are a MUST and my favorite dish is the crab stuffed halibut with pesto sauce paired with a Pinot Gris. Duke’s is honestly great for any occasion.
C DeGuzman
Great food and service, always!
Outdoor seating includes heaters and blankets.
My favorite go-to place!
Amy Janel Haaseth-Massey (AJ)
Good place, every meal came with their chowder recipe. Was pleasantly surprised with the outside space. Friendly staff and something for everyone! They had the best tacos ever .... Rocking Rockfish was superb !!!!!
Ivaana Muse
Duke Moscrip must have been a food chemist to have made this amazing concept. It's almost like a foodlab where everything is made to perfection. The menu is simple but the taste is unparalleled and the prices surprisingly low considering the quality of the food. A must a Chandler's Cove.
Michelle Young
Service was a little slow on a holiday Monday, but the bubbly was half off and the food came out fast. Lobster chowder and rockfish tacos were wonderful. Never had a bad experience at any Duke's location.
Varun Sridharan
My friends loved the oysters here. I got the Pope’s seafood cioppino. I liked it but it isn’t as good as the one in Pink Door. Definitely recommended if you like seafood.
Ronnie Marquez-Posey
This place is really nice!!! The food is great and the drinks are too. The ambiance is comfortable to enjoy with your significant other or with friends wearing jean's and a sweater. Must try the Happy Hour!!!!
Shambhu Viraktamath
Great place with a view! Came here for team lunch and found pretty good vegetarian options. Veggie tacos and quesadilla were really good, I heard the sea food and clam chowder were the best.
Kessashun Arthur
I can't speak for all of the locations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how excellent everything was here! They have an extensive menu of fresh seafood and chowder dishes, alongside other dishes (that certainly aren't the highlights given the name of this place). It's a pretty classy atmosphere with a great view by the water, with the space needle off in the distance. Their award-winning chowder is just as good as advertised; it has lots of good flavor packed into a perfectly creamy texture. Getting it with a bread bowl is a solid option if it's you're entire meal. The salmon dishes are quite unique and also packed with good flavor combinations. No surprise that any seafood that you get here is incredibly fresh and well-prepared. I don't think you can go wrong with much at Duke's; definitely better than your average local chain!
Arend Buren
Just prefect! Food 2. 👍🏻 Service 😊🥇I never give 5 ⭐️ s but this was close😉
Jenn Caro Oldenburg
I love this place! We visit every time we can! We live 2 hours away and plan our trips to Seattle around Dukes! Everything is amazing! The service and especially the food!
Kenton Summers
Amazing food. Best seafood I have had in a long time.
Morgan Ulrich
Great place and I appreciate the vegan options! We went here twice it was so good - the first time I got a fruity salad without cheese, and the second time I went for the vegan stew - delicious! Great views and great menu that accommodates all.
Emily Nelson
I got the crab cakes and my partner got the salmon and pasta. The food was good, however was pricy. The crab cakes were full of crab meat and the salmon tasted fresh and the pasta was just enough to be filling.
Broc Wigner
Great restaurant on the water in Seattle. Got the halibut stuffed with Dungeness crab which was great, marrionberry pie was also good!
Mike Ryan
Had dinner here my wife and I split the sandwich and the lobster chowder and filled both of us up.
Melody Welsh
This was a all around incredible experience. The food was incredible, perfect temperature, delucous seasoning and fresh fish. I expecially liked the chowder and oysters.
We got alcoholic drinks that were so good!
Service was so fast and kind. Our waitress was truely wonderful. Had a great day out
Saurav Majumder
There isn’t a better spot than this to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake while sitting under a shade to avoid rain or sun. The food is delicious too.
Brigitte Erwin
Their chowder is really worth going out of your way to eat! My husband travels to Seattle for work sometimes, and ALWAYS gets chowder at Duke's. We finally got to go with him and this was our first stop. It did not disappoint! They'll even give you the recipe if you want to try making it at home! It's also right on the water so it's in a beautiful setting.
Matt Skladzien
The food was great! I had the crab stuffed halibut. The fish was cooked perfectly with a nice crust on the stuffing. I had a bit of the award winning chowder which was also outstanding. I am not a fan of chowder and I would have been fine eating a cup of it.
Ali Cannon
Fantastic dining experience! We kayaked here from the other side of the lake and couldn't have had a better experience! They seated us much quicker than the 45 minute wait they told us to expect. We got a great outdoor table with a view of the harbor & sunset. The service was fantastic - everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. The gluten free items were clearly labelled on the menu, and there were quite a few, including all of their chowders! But when I asked if something else could be modified to be gluten free they were very accommodating and the server knew immediately what had to be done to make it gluten free. The food tasted wonderful. I got the salmon sliders (served on lettuce instead of a bun) and a "dinghy" of their northwest chowder. My husband enjoyed the fresh sourdough bread served at the table and ordered the dungaree crab cake sandwich with a side of the lobster chowder and said it was one of the best meals he's had. To top it all off, they had a very moist and flavorful gluten free carrot cake from a local bakery!
Terri Irvin
Fantastic clam chowder. Best fish and chips we have ever eaten. Really nice restaurant and great seafood.
Jesus Escobedo
Foos was delicious, there was a wait time for dinner on a Thursday night. We had the lobster chowder and clam chowder both were good. I also had fish and chips and stuffed salmon.
Bennie Good
Very nice. Lakeside dining. Thomas took care of us and did a fine job. Classic chowder and Berry Bibb salad went together nicely.
Oliver Lawrence
5 star restaurant for sure. Delicious seafood, and great servers
Jeff K
Very fresh seafood but terribly overpriced. I thought we lived in a port city. I like the late hours. The unchopped salad is the best. Get it Duke style.
Mike Morris
The food was delicious. Bread was hot and delivered quickly, the chowder was amazing. The portion sizes for the price is the only reason they lose a star. The "Large" bowl was quite average.
The coconut prawns were done very well.
Steven Sletten
Next level clam chowder! Duke's has the best clam chowder I've ever had - lots of clams, seasoned nicely, right ratio of potatoes to everything else. Paired with their sourdough bread, can't get better! Be sure to save a bite of bread to mop up the bowl. Had the black and bleu salad and the salmon and salad was excellent. We went there twice on a 4 day weekend it was so good. Yummy!
Susan Ding
Great seafood, great service, great view. The only problem is parking which is common in Seattle. Make sure to reserve outdoors seats in this pretty summer weather and enjoy the lake view.
Michelle Jenkins
We sat outside, loved the harbor view! We sampled the drinks and the chowder. We had the most fun eating small bites and watching the float planes take off and land!
Kara Pohlkamp
Had the shrimp and avocado salad app as an entree and it was so good! Loved the sour dough. Kids salmon was way too spicy for kids
Hasan Zahran
If you want something delicious, and special then definitely you must go there.
Unique and fresh. Next date will be special 😉 …
Elizabeth Burnett
You need a reservation. Pay for parking. Food was good. Pasta was excellent. Had a party going on at the first floor level and the bass was so high it bounced our table.
William Azzalino
We had a reservation but our table was not ready for about five minutes.
You have to pay for parking in the public lot adjacent to the restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. For a restaurant that features oysters I found their accompanying sauces to be nice but limited. They provided an interesting cucumber topping, but no mignonette sauce. They also had a very limited choice of oysters (2) - this is one of the reasons why I gave them this rating. We sampled the ceasar salad which was very good, the crab dip, also very well balanced. They had a nice wine and drink selection and based on the fact that it takes up an entire side of the menu, this is clearly as much their focus as the food. It has nice views from both inside the restaurant and on the patio. It was very enjoyable, but Elliot's at Pier 56, was a better choice for the quality of food.
CJ Allen
Great views - right on South Lake Union and you can spot the Space Needle from the patio. One of the best spots for Happy Hour and you must try the clam chowder!
Bobbie Rogers
Great sour dough bread - 6 people all super happy with entrees! Great service by KJ!! Would not hesitate to come back when we are in Seattle again :)
Zaiga Morris
Loved it! Very friendly staff, very polite. Great atmosphere and fun interior, the view is nice also looking over the water, boats are slowly going by, small planes taking off, just charming. Food was very delicious, decent price. Wish I could go to this place every day!
Mary Ann Cooper
Everything was delicious. Excellent service. Beautiful view - we ate outside. No wait with reservation. Valet parking was optional and convenient.
Stafford Green
Our server was excellent for my allergy to wine (I know, awful genetic flaw!!)....the chowder was super.... View of Lake Union beautiful. Will be back.
Matti Smith
The fish & chips were very good, a little dry for my taste. Lemonade was good as was the view, prices were a little higher than expected.
Chris Huish
Superb lobster chowder and decent havarti burger. Chemical Free Sustainable Wildlife (TM) made ;) Good but overpriced. I'll be back next year!
Benton Estes
Very tasty food, but definitely expensive. Super friendly and attentive staff. Nice views of Lake Union and Gas Works.
Geethapriya Kumaraguru
We went on Saturday evening around 7 pm for dinner , wait time around 20 mins , We three people had Hannah's Halibut Quesadilla for appetizers , Award Winning Clam Chowder large bowl,Oh my Cod! fish & chips 2 piece ,crab cake Patty Duke sandwich ,farm to table veggie burger, also they served freshly baked 🍞 bread with butter , everything served hot & food delicious , my Veggie burger was served with salad I asked for French fries , they also gave French fries but they didn't charge for french fries , customer service was very good & satisfied, atmosphere is pleasant & interior decorations in the Duke Chowder was related to fishing & shipping like boat on top on dinner table , fishing pole on the walls ,also I like certain things like one of the serving plate is in the shape of fish, uniformily blue border with white plates in the serving plates matching their Logos ,
Everything is good , but bit costly , total cost was $100 .
I surely recommend to all my friends to taste award winning clam chowder :)
Joshua Rodriguez
Food was delicious, clam chowder was in top 5 it was good. Waiters we're always nearby ensuring we were taken care of.
L B
I had a crab cake sandwich and it was Wonderful! Also had some Cajun chicken corn chowder and it was delish! Would go there again...
Claudia Elena
Such a good chowder place! Loved it! Loved the atmosphere, the service, the food and the drinks. Will definitely be returning. Just a heads up, you do have to pay for parking like for most places in Seattle but it's worth it.
*their blueberry lemonade is delicious by the way*
Samantha Kaonis
It's a must to sit outside and eat h the boats! The food was incredible overall, but the fish and chips were the best we ever had.
Elliott Sterns
Duke's fish and chips are in a league of their own. This is my second time and have always had great service. They are very quick and bring the food out piping hot!
Madison Blake
Delicious food!! Highly recommended the Dukes Favorite Pasta (not sure if thats the exact name). Food is definitely worth the price. Our server Matt was awesome as well
Robert Carnes
Honestly one of the best crab cakes I've had anywhere. This place was very good seafood and reasonably priced.
Jordan Maddox
Excellent service. Large portions. The sourdough bread is amazing. Beautiful views!
James Cary
Great food and atmosphere! Willow was an awesome server!
Matt Broschinsky
Oh man... I have had New England clam chowder... in New England. Duke's is doing it right. They might need to rename this chowder because Duke's clam chowder is what new england clam chowder wants to be when it grows up. We sat outside and watched the sea planes land and the sun set behind the space needle. Great dining experience, all around. I ordered the "triple dinghy" so I also got to sample the chicken corn chowder and the seafood chowder. All three were crazy delicious!
Aparna Singh
This is an amazing place by the lake Union. Very vibrant but calm enough. They have the best fish tacos and chicken clam chowder. I wanted to try their crab cakes as well but I couldn't. I'm sure that must be amazing too. I'd love to visit again when I'm in Seattle next time.
ST 2022
I have been to Duke’s more then 10 time but tonight was different me and my friend were there at the last minute. Almost closing time, Out lovely waitress Gwen was a super start, she made out night. She was cool not pushy, also she was not rushing because the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. She is AMAZING 💯 I wish every restaurant have only one Gwen, JUST ONE NO MORE, Theywould do better. Thank you GWEN.
Brian Street
Very good, but a bit overpriced. The chowder was quite good and so was the fish and chips. Lightly breaded and flaky. My wife had the dungeness crab sandwich which she loved. My daughter had the rock fish tacos and she liked that as well, wanted another one. I could see us going back. I'm sure you could find something as good for maybe 20% less.
Joseph Kim
Great seafood.
Very busy, but well taken care of regarding service.
Liked the beer.
John Bemis
Good place to grab some fish and chips or chowder and boat watch. Great location with a waterfront view. The service was great, very friendly and attentive. The food was good and portions were plentiful. We were there for a weekday lunch very early …. By the time we finished they were packed.
KemomimiNoHi Design Bloc
Super friendly bartender. Crab cake was great! Great value for happy hour from 6-9
Andrew Gibbs
Fresh and tasty
These guys deliver
Had there famous clam chowder really nice seasoned nicely well recommended
Followed by the mixed grill also tasty as
Crab cake which actually had crab in there
Heaps of crab very very good pan fried not deep fried
Scallops and prawns very fresh
My friend had the raspberry salmon
Sounds weird but so works
But so recommend Duke’s if in the neighbourhood
Mark Richards
Great to return to Duke’s, he was a role model for me at Bellevue High.
Had the North by Northwest chowder - it was a meal in itself. Plenty of savory fish.
And the Salmon chipotle sandwich was awesome.
Borys
Great service. Amazing food. The clam chowder was amazing. Loved the ranch dressing.
Vahid Serpooshan
Great food and nice view! Friendly staff! Their fish and chips is excellent!
Michael Ianni-Palarchio
Overpriced for what you get. But decent food. We had the seafood pasta, it was decent. The crab cakes were quite good, the oysters were fresh as should be expected. The mixed grill was good! The crab dip was a let down. The food was good but the prices for what you receive are relatively high and are not justified by the taste alone.
Delta Whiskey
Delicious. Had a dinghy of clam chowder (3-4 bites serving), Oh my Cod combo with N by NW chowder, Stuffed Halibut, and the brookie. Everything was fresh and perfect temp. I could have eaten two of the halibut, it was that good. Cod was lightly breaded and fried perfectly so it was mostly fish with a crunch. Service was good, attentive and quick. I'd eat here weekly if I lived in the area. Highly recommend.
Alex Chirayath
Always a good place to hang out. The seafood is delicious. Will definitely recommend the stuffed and puffed prawns and the halibut here. Though a bit on the expensive side, this place does offer good portions and quality food!
Luis Carreno
The chowders were excellent, the fish was very well prepared and the service second to none, enjoyed the experience and the ambiance!
Christopher Martinez
Delicious food, in particular the chips/fries were amazing! Very well seasoned and great
Mickey Ceresey
Very nice venue with nice views and professional and polished staff. Happy hour is great. I had oysters on the half shell, they were excellent tasting but their shucker needs some more practice, and the entree was fabulous as well but a bit over salted, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
Chloe Mason
Sometimes I dream about the lobster chowder at Duke's. Coming back for the first time after the lockdowns, I was so delighted to see their new space! The food is all the same if not better. It's award-winning for a reason. The staff seems to be a mix of old hands and new hires, but they all a great job serving us and getting us fed. And I will try to steal one of those slanted glasses! They are so cute.
Max Tarasiouk
Amazing selection of dishes, everything is fresh and service is top notch. Can’t wait to come back!
Ben Trevor
My wife and I were in Seattle for three months over the summer. In all that time, there were only two non-fast food restaurants we ate at multiple times. Duke's was one of them.
The chowder is delicious, with a blend of spices that I really haven't tasted anywhere else. If you can, definitely try to get there for the happy hour deals. And the location right on Lake Union offers some excellent views.
Celia Mahue
Most tasteful! We had calamari steak slices, halibut stuffed with crab and grilled salmon with mustard sauce. Everything was perfect. Calamari arrived with two sauces for dipping plus a lettuce relish. The salmon was rosy covered with mustard dill sauce, served over roasted new potatoes and asparagus. The halibut was delicious served similarly over veggies. Service was prompt and friendly. Good selection of wines, beers and mixed drinks. Dessert for my partner was coffee/ chocolate ice cream pie slic. It was huge. Mine was carrot cake to go. Casual attire on the seaside. Price: 144.00 but worth it.
Adam Sugg
Food was amazing and service was great. Would definitely recommend.
Slob Rat
It's OK, if you do go to Seattle go to pikes place instead... absolutely the best clam chowder.
Amanda Valles
I came to Seattle for the weekend and was trying to find a good seafood restaurant before my flight in the morning and I'm glad I came across Duke's because it definitely helped complete the trip:)
Prashant Verma
It has a great atmosphere and a view (if you are lucky to be seated where you can see the view). The food is very presentable and is pretty okay. It's definitely nothing to write home about. Bear in mind that the prices definitely include paying for the view.
Kat Skafidas
Amazing seafood and really great prices. Try the chowders and definitely enjoy the Alaskan salmon!!
casey goodwin
Came here to clear a clog in their mainline, left with easily the best salad I have ever had in my life. The house cola was an excellent treat as well. I HIGHLY recommend, especially for Celiacs!
Michael Tibbitts
A great fun place for food munching and cocktails with nice view of Lake Union.
Alik
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Loved both the indoor and outdoor seating options in the few times I have visited. Service seemed average but no complaints.
k pannell
At Lake Union location, 901 Fairview Ave N. - though visually different than West Seattle still a wonderful experience. Only one area for improvement, please change the Wedge Cut French Fries oil. The Wedge Cut French Fries taste as if they had been sitting out for a while. Please change, thank you! Otherwise, drinks and salmon were amazing - no complaints there. Big Bummer we are so near the end of Summer. Get out and enjoy Good Food/Good Sights!!!
Armen Dzhagaryan
I really enjoyed their chowder. Great fish and chips as well. Nice view on the pier.
Scottcita Allen
Very nice experience, the size of the Clam chowder “tureen” was more than enough for two of us, the price was a good deal, stuff kind and friendly, place is clean & tidy, patio with a lovely view.
Miha
Very helpful and nice staff, great quality food, on expecive sde but worth it.
We paid 70$per person with drinks included
Although I find it expensive food matches quality. Totaly recommended.
Adam Paulsen
Food was good, and so was the beer! I really enjoyed the award winning clam chowder.
Pauline ROBERT
It was perfect ! The waiter was really nice. We didn't wait a lot of time and it was delicious! We came here with friends and it was an enjoyable moment ! In addition we had a great view on the lake ! Personnaly I took the showder and I would totally recommend it !
Christopher Wolstenholme
The oysters are super fresh, Aperol done right, the service was amazing at lunch and a little haphazard at dinner but the whole experience considering they are trying to manage Covid was fantastic. Definitely a place to go for fantastic seafood
Jasen Petersen
Had a great experience here. The staff was friendly, didn't seem very educated on the menu but it was great food. A little spendy for the portion size but that's understandable being seafood.
Nick
Good seafood with a nice covered and heated outdoor dining section.
Taejung Chang
Perfect location and view
Not to mention the food. It is fresh and tasty.
It is very pricey but they deserve it!!
Evan Whitson
Greg was an attentive and friendly waiter! Very busy the evening we were there made it difficult for wait staff . Maybe they need to staff up? Unfortunately the Mojito, and Chowder was waaay too sweet. Beautiful views though out back and very romantic with decent wine!
Paul Jarolimek
Clam chowder was very good... Cod and crab cake was well cooked and delicious and the best sweet potato fries
Jessica Norgard
Our server was great and she was also the bar tender. Helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
Sophia Jones
The food here was really good, I had the salmon pasta and oysters. You also get complimentary bread as well which was delicious.
John Chen
Much worse than other locations. Would’ve been better off getting a piece of fish at the nearest supermarket and cooking it myself.
Vittorio Paquette
Beyond amazing can't go wrong with any of the chowders. Stuffed prawns are amazing as well.
Christina Zeno
Went here for a business lunch. Ordered the crab un-cake lunch entree. Inside crab cakes were loads of delicious crab, a bit too much outter fried breading for my liking, but the flavor was there. Crab cakes were delicious with the aioli, red potatoes and asparagus were cooked to perfection.
Becky West
I had the crab cake sandwich for the first time.... life changing. Great lunch.
Brittan Scott
Beautiful views of the marina even on a foggy day. I ordered a "dingy" of the Lobster soup. The soup is rich and amazing. You get about 2-3 spoonfuls with the dingy. I also ordered the salmon sandwich. It was like a BLT that included a decent sized piece of fish. It was OK. Especially for the price.
I'd come back for the soup and the lake with good company.
Vicki BELCHER
Food very good
Nice service
Very Expensive
Veronica Boe
Great venue for private dinner events. Helpful staff and good food.
Jose Andres Araya
Great food, staff and comfortable outside seating. Really enjoyed the crab cake.
Brandi Wagner
We had the best meal here for our last night in Seattle. I had a oysters on the half shell and my husband and I both had the chowder and he had the salmon. The Best service we have received at a restaurant in a long time. Not only was our server extremely friendly but the food was delivered quickly. Beautiful view too!
Alex Cara
Great restaurant, food is good ,some plates look empty for the price I paid,The hostesses needs to be improved ,I got disappointed a bit ,I expected better service. (
Mark Richards
After several years visited this old haunt again. I used to visit Dukes frequently when visiting Seattle. They had moved to a new location just North on Lake Union. Nice new place. We had a group from a marine show so sampled a cross section of drinks and food. All of us travel around the country and we were all taken aback by the high prices and small portions. 1 taco and a cup of soup for $30, really! Two ordered the gnocchi-fish special and sent it back as unedited. Disappointed as expected more.
Traveler of Life
Great food, staff and view. Reasonable pricing. What more could you want.
Daniel L
Good food, great service and a nice ambient is what makes this place something I would definitely like to visit again.
Oli H
The food was pretty good, although I've had better chowder. They really have pushed in as many seats as they can, so you're very close to your neighbours. Better than your average chain
Chirag Bhat
Good food and great location. Must visit. They also have good vegetarian options.
Bob McClintock
We've eaten there several times and each time the seafood has been great
The best is the stuffed and puffed shrimp, for me. My wife loves the Dungeness crab stuffed cod checks her boxes. Their seafood is from Alaska for the most part. Their salads are delicious, as well.
Colten Wadsworth
We started with 12 half shell oysters on ice and they were so fresh! They had three varieties and all were good. Then I had the rockfish tacos which were way bigger than I thought they would be. They were soft taco size and jam-packed with filling. The sweet Thai sauce was amazing. My wife got the small clay chowder bread bowl as usual and loved it too. We come here every other month and they always impress.
Chris Buja
Tasty seafood, enthusiastic staff, tasty seafood, great view of the water … and *really* tasty seafood, did I mention!
Be sure to sample the raw oysters, fresh and a good bite, and both garnishes - red and cucumber - struck a welcome new note.
Jannet Lyn Corwin
Great ambience but parking would be a problem on a weekday. You need to pay. Weekend is free. I ordered they're famous clam chowder...it's 95% potato maybe 5% clams. It's quite pricy!
Callie
I had the Bourbon Salmon dish (forgot the name) and it was not bad. But for the price ($37) and taste, I think my air fried salmon recipe with just some lemon and worcester sauce is much better. The atmosphere and workers are very nice though!
stuart forbes
Second visit and I will be back.
Mackenzie Brisben
Love this place and it’s my favorite location of dukes. I love the conundrum and such a good time. 👌🏼 …
Haley Gott
Lots of gluten free options & really fresh tasting seafood. Fun atmosphere and reminds me of New England. (That’s a good thing)! We had a great experience!
Daniel Shafer
By far one of the best places I've ever eaten at, my entire life. The hospitality was incredible, the fish and chips were the best I've ever had, the server was top notch. Even the bread was absolutely amazing. He deserved his $70 tip and definitely would eat here again. I can't even explain how incredible this restaurant is. They didn't even do anything wrong, but when my daughter had an issue with her food, because of her own pickiness, even after I told them several times they did nothing wrong, they insisted on doing what they could to make the experience a happy one. This kind of service you cannot find anywhere else. I used to think customer service and hospitality is dead. I'm very grateful to my server and the management.
Marna Howard
What a phenomenal experience! The view alone is worth the meal but the seafood is really terrific. We had oysters and seafood quesadilla, clam chowder, spinach salad, burgers and salmon and just everything was wonderful
Charles Rohmer
Some of the best seafood I've had in a long time. Absolutely the best. You can go wrong.
Nancy Griffin
Such Awesome food!!! Where do I begin…just go; you won’t be disappointed!!!
Richard Rice
The service was good and the food was very good. The ambiance was great very nice scenery it sets on the water which was really nice.
Gabriel N. Blinderman
The burger was amazing, especially because the take out prep person put the burger and all the fixings in separate boxes so it was all fresh and crispy ready to put together and eat :-) the frozen clam chowder was great value and will help us recover while we’re home sick :-)
Stacy Welle
Excellent for and service! Amazing views of the water, too!
Angela Minelli
Sooo good. A little pricey but so worth it. The blueberry lemon drop cocktail was incredible. Family tried four different chowders. Every one was spot on. Oysters very fresh and tasty. Loved it. Will be back.
Michael Andrews
Duke's is alright. The food was not anything to get excited about especially for the price. Had halbit which was just a little bit better then ok. The vegetables it came with where not cooked all the way. I will probably not go back here. The rally good things are the service and the location and view.
Jenn Caro Oldenburg
This place is very good and super great for the relaxing views of the lake and all of the happenings !
Patrick Orr
Great food and service. Only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars is no free parking if dining in the restaurant.
Taylor Gray
Great food. I had the Oh My Cod with Chowder. Would definitely order again! Great service as well!
Sheila Oliver
After getting takeout and discovering the meal was not complete, the manager on Tuesday evening drove all the way to our house to bring us our correct order and made it happen within a half hour! Cheers to the manager!
Matthew
This place is awesome for a special dinner. Rather expensive, so expect to pay a pretty penny but the food is excellent. Below is the macadamia crusted mahi-mahi.
Everything was fresh, deliciously flavorful, and just plain good!
Wait was quite long, maybe 45 mins but it was peak lunch rush. Definitely recommend for those visiting the city!
Martha Octavia
Never missed to get chowder at this place while visited Seattle. They have best chowder and crab cake!!
Faron Presley II
Saturday was a beautiful day here in Seattle, and I was hoping to sit on a deck overlooking the lake and have a refreshing salad and cocktail. Duke's South Lake Union delivered on all fronts! Beautiful views, a tasty salad and unparalleled service made for a great afternoon! I'm hoping to spend many more awesome Seattle afternoons here!
Meghan Cherry
Quality chowder, fair prices. Small bowl in a sourdough bowl is a substantial lunch for under $15.
Georgette M. DuBois
I enjoyed my visit once again! The food is always delicious!
Jeanette Ashworth, Ph.D.
Outstanding customer service. Excellent food, well-presented, with a beautiful view.
Kathy Jensen
The food was excellent!!
The service was great!
The atmosphere superb!
Go! Enjoy the food, hospitality and stunning views of the habor action of Lake Union at Duke's!!
D Ives
Nice views. Good service. Food and drinks, meh. Sazerac really sweet (no one wants a sweet sazzy). Fish really salty. Everything just average to slightly below with an above average price point.
Kedar Sane
Finger licking good food, nice ambience, friendly and polite staff. The shrimp entree were delicious, fish and chips were crisp and fresh. All in all an enjoyable meal
Apratim Mukherjee
One of the best seafood restaurants I’ve tried. It wasn’t just the preparation of the dishes we ordered but also the freshness of the ingredients that made the visit so worthwhile. I ordered the crab un-cake and the salmon with pasta. The crab appetizer was very refreshing along with the avocado, tomato and cilantro mix on the side. It helped open up the palate for the main course. It was easy to tell that the salmon was very fresh. It was tasty and flaky with just the right amount of seasoning. They were gracious enough to seat us at a table outside with a nice view of the water just like we had requested while making the reservation. I’m looking forward to the next time I visit this place so that I can try something else from their menu.
Amber Blais
It was really good! Lots of gluten free options and I tried the chowder sampler which was pretty awesome as all of them were gf. The only thing I wish they told me was the samplers were pretty small (it was on the menu as if it would be big enough for a meal) so I wish I would have gotten a normal sized chowder as well. We also tried the local oysters and they were super good! I also found a pearl in one of mine! Overall a super delicious experience.
J K
Had the clam chowder and it was excellent! Definitely award winning and they also tell you what goes in.
Very impressive and definitely quality ingredients.
Mike Linville
Fantastic seafood options; need to come back soon and check out more items. Thanks!
Melissa Reed
Food was great. Taste, presentation, and temp perfect. Service was phenomenal!
Brian Zabela
Good meal with a nice view of the needle through the rain. Very crowded early evening, popular place.
Mary Borra
Food was fresh and excellent, service was amazing!! Will definitely be back
Eleonora Karniayenka
Their chowders are truly award winning. But I mainly came there for the oysters. They serve them with sweet cucumber shaved ice... unique and delish!
Anurag Bagga
Nice place for all seafood lovers. The parking is paid $5 for 0-3 hours. Please make sure you pay for the parking as its not validated. Quick service we were done in close to an hour.
Georgie Simmons
The view is nice the restaurant is good the food is decent but I've had better in Boston if I'm being honest. My advice to tourists go to Pike Place chowder in the pike market its a better choice taste wise but if you're looking nice scenery with decent food this place isn't bad
kai
I must say that they have the best clam chowder I have ever tasted. We got takeout on a boat which was really cool!
William Sullivan
Very good food and drinks. Professional wait staff. Will be back.
Nick martinez
World famous Clam chowder so great!
Ella McRae
Was ohk and over priced NOT the best happy hour I been to and the drinks were weak. Great location and view
Sean Anderson
The food was great. Service fabulous. We had the Tacos (spicey ones forgot the name) salmon and oysters (3 different types). Everything was great. Recommend them highly. Sit on the deck even in colder weather its heated and the view is great.
Lelia Mann
Bourbon crusted salmon and north of California burger were good. The views from the patio were awesome
Trish Magill
The service and atmosphere was good the waitress Rachel was awesome! Superior restaurants on the waterfront don't hike their prices as much as this place. The food was good but definitely not good prices. Would rather go to Anthony's or Wallys. The Crab Pot charges less money for expensive Seafood! First and last time I'll go here.
Alireza Forghani
Thia is a very popular place. They have a great selection of seafood dishes. Be ready to stay in line for a bit before you get seated
sulakshana devi
beautiful view while eating. This can be enjoyable only in summer. The food was delicious. We had grilled chicken sandwich and fishing chips.
Nadia Ahmadian
We ordered 3 course meal with fish and chips and the macadamia halibut plates.
The chowder was very delicious, salad was also good.
The fish and chips was tasteless.
Halibut was Ok, it wasn’t anything special, it tasted sweet.
Service was really good, and I liked the view and outdoor seating!
Abby Freideman
Oh my this place was highly recommended and we ate here by accidently finding it on our way to a bar. The clam chowder is absolutely heavenly with a complex and garlicky base that is just awesome. I had the crab stuffed halibut and that was also wonderful :) awesome, quick service. Friendly people. Great atmosphere with great ocean views.
Vallerie Ducharme
First time in, and it was great! Food is pricey for sure, and the portions are not large, but everything we ordered was totally worth it. Recommend the “award winning” clam chowder and the crab cake. Views are also spectacular outside - though the patio is not heated so prepare for that. They were at 50% capacity at the time of this review, would definitely recommend making a reservation.
林發發
Brilliant grill seafood mixed! Blue berry ice cream is also awesome!!
Dan Z
A bit chilly to be outside (heat lamps were doing their best but we had to wear jackets nonetheless), but good food and good service. The chowder is indeed worth having.
PL Mitchell
Great gluten-free selections. Clam chowder had a good texture but somewhat over seasoned with too many herbs that over powered the clams and bacon flavor.
Dan l
Tried the chowder sampler and stuffed halibut. The original and lobster chowder was fantastic but the stuffed halibut was just average
Nolan Howard
Amazing food , view, seating service and did I say food. The chowder is amazing!!
Kinsey Mattison
Excellent food and service! Trey was our server and he helped make a difficult day a little better. Very attentive and friendly. Lobster chowder was delicious as was the crab cake sandwich. Will definitely return!
Johnny Ray
The best clam chowder is Seattle can be found at Dukes. It is rich, chunky, and full of flavor. The oysters were also very good.
Samantha Semetis
5/10/21
Went here for lunch- was able to sit on the patio! The view was amazing and the service was excellent. We got the dip, lobster mobster bisque and the stuffed halibut. Everything was delicious but not 5 star. I think the dip didn’t have enough crab to be called a crab dip, I think the lobster bisque was just okay but the halibut was amazing. I also got a grapefruit cocktail and it was delicious. $$
Joshua Morgan
Pretty good food, a little pricey for all that they offered. Staff was very kind.
Luis Cardona
The clam chowder and lobster chowder are both fantastic. The fries/potato wedges are the perfect amount of crisp. And the sour dough they give pairs perfectly with the soups.
David Manzanarez
Not as expensive considering the location and the wonderful food and service. The Award Winning Clam Chowder is phenomenal along with the Dungeness Crab Salad. Service is quick and friendly.
Kitty T
The food was good, but the menu is not very accurate. (Raw vegetables served when caramelized was on the menu, for example). Ask about nuts because they aren't 100% disclosed on the menu. The desserts are amazing!
Zachery Rizzitano (Zrizzy)
Pretty expensive but very worth it!
Kim Ray
Good vibe, good food
Joni Sargent
Excellent Service! Yummy food! Atmosphere is unique - beautiful finishes and decor - feels fancy but also casual comfortable with beautiful views. Highly recommend!
Mark Lucht
Had friends visiting from out of town. We had reservations which I recommend. When we arrived, we found out there was a UW dinner event happening there as well. Place was packed... But we got our seat on the deck on a beautiful night. Perfect setting. All the chowders are good. I also have the macadamia nut encrusted halibut. Slightly dry, but OK. All the appetizers are recommended... Service was a little pushy and underwhelming, but understandable given how busy they were.
Diane Morrison
Everything was delicious (understatement) and prepared beautifully. We had some appetizer dishes; coconut shrimp (easy on the batter please), fish tacos, and crab cake. We also had the Caesar salad which was delicious also, but soaked in dressing. I would suggest asking for easy on the dressing and a bit on the side. Our server was Carlos - professional, attentive (not overly), and friendly. We'll be back!!!
Frenchie
This place was amazing. 2 thumbs up to the chowder, stuffed salmon, and fish and chips.
Richard M
Fantastic seafood & outdoor summer experience! We had lunch with out of town guests on the patio around 1pm and it was perfect. Seaplanes taking off and landing a few hundred yards away, floating homes nearby, and the lake filled with kayaks, SUP’s & water craft of all types. Fresh oysters and copper River salmon were spectacular. A bit pricey but we’ll worth it, will definitely be back with and without friends from out of town.
Deborah Witmer
Beautiful setting, wonderful food, great place for a celebration, friends, and an excellent meal!
Alicia Sosa
The views and the food 👍🏼 The Mac & Jack beer plus the chicken chowder bowl. Perfect combination ! …
Lou Zapanta
Great meals - Stuffed Prawns and a burger. Awesome dessert - pie! Very nice waiter, Shawn. Arrived early for drinks at bar but had gruff bartender, Greg. Acted too busy to be friendly.
Great lakeside table outside for sunset - really nice evening overall ('cept for Greg)
Dokuge
The food was decent and service was great!!
Miguel Hidalgo
Superb service, good meals, reasonable prices.
Darrell Siegmund
Always stop at Dukes every trip to Seattle. Enjoy their food. Notice the menu has been trimmed down but no where near what other restaurants have done. Food was great as always, service very good. Missed some of the Dungeness crab items. We will be back!
Arthur Penny
Awesome service and food. The salmon chowder was out of this world.
Chris Queen
Service was very good. Keep in mind prices are for the view. Lobster chowder is amazing, crab cake really good. Entrees (glazed salmon, stuffed shrimp, mixed grill) were cooked well but could have benefitted from better seasoning.
Cora Thompson
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I definitely would. So so good. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Our service we recieved was so wonderful. Our waiter Gustavo was absolutely amazing. The man needs a raise. If 10 star service is a thing then this guy deserves a 25. Answered every question we had and was always around. When we come back we will come back to see him. I hope he sees this and understands how great of a person he is. We didn't show up in necessarily nice attire. But he was absolutely wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.
Jacob Hollingsworth
Duke’s Seafood is absolutely amazing. They have award winning chowders but everything on their menu is delicious from their salmon down to their chicken burger. Highly recommend the Marion berry pie. Their deck has great views and inside has a great atmosphere. Service has always been spectacular!
MC Moody
Great location - one of us didn't have their Vax card so they were able to put us out on the heated deck Great View of thr action on South Lake union. Food and service were great had the cod and chips - big pieces of fish.1
Blanche Gnann
Crab stuffing in salmon filet was mostly cheese; no crab to be found. Don't do it if you can't do it right. The clam chowder was watery and did not have a very good taste to it. Not worth my Lyft ride there and back for sure.
Christine Maness
Amazing water view. Both outside and inside dining. Wonderful menu selection and daily specials.
The Man
Food was good, and to celebrate my wife's birthday since we registered we got a full-size dessert for everyone at the table for free. Quite a value. Service was okay, ask the waiter for several items that I forgot and then we had to request again. For $150 visit I would expect it to service to be much better.
Emily Henderson
I was in Seattle for a BBL consultation. We drove from Vancouver Washington. We wanted seafood by the water so we googled restaurants by the water. Dukes popped up and so we went. First off, I thought it was odd that they make customers pay for parking ($5)...the hospitality was great. Each and every one of the staff members were nice and gave good customer service. Clean facility. The view was pretty. Loved seeing all the boats/yacht. Our waiters name was Luis. He was super cute and lovely. It was a busy day (Saturday afternoon). I was given the wrong order but Luis was quick to fix that. Food was tasty. 👅
Sheltyn Rose
Ask for deck seating! We waited for almost an hour and a half and it was 100% worth it. Beautiful view and nice fires outside to cut the windy weather that Alki attracts. The crab dip was fantastic, but I was a little disappointed in my chowder sampler. Usually when I order chowder I expect thick, creamy, and seafood stuffed. This sampler was about two bites per chowder and I really didn’t like any of them. They seemed like more experimental chowder rather than traditional and that just isn’t my taste. The seafood chowder is also red and that just wasn’t what I was expecting. Probably wouldn’t order the chowder here again, but the fish tacos were really exceptional so I can’t speak for the rest of the menu. I would also say that the value is good. We each got a drink, app, entrees, and two desserts for about $100!
Sam Strok
You want a 20 Oz beer? Check.
Insane crab cakes? 🦀 Roger that.
A bar that always has a spot. Heck ya!
Zachary Morris
Absolutely fantastic seafood. The view of Lake Union makes it even better. Brought my aunt here from out of town and she loved it. They also gave us a couple recipes to take (my aunt loved this)!
Our server, Shawn was a step above. Knowledgeable, polite, great recommendations. Thanks Shawn for a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back!
Demah Evans
I really enjoyed the food and my server was very attentive. They also have a great selection of drinks.
Tracey Grant
I used a food delivery service, but unfortunately they forgot part of my meal (the lobster chowder). I contacted the Lake Union Restaurant and spoke with Jason the manager. The delivery service issued me a partial credit and Jason was kind enough to bring me my chowder and bread that I requested on his way out. He was so nice!!
G. Williams
Great food, outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the lake.
Mike Dinescu
Had a really good meal here and the drinks were great. Lots of tasty seafood options. Looking forward to the next time!
Coleen 333
Excellent food, great service. Seafood can be tricky, all 3 of our meals were perfect! Great service. Will go again next time I'm in town.
Ami Hosack
Clam chowder is delicious...a definite must have. Alicia was one of the best servers we've had in a long time.
Alex
Food is OK but great ambiance sitting on the the water's edge watching the sea planes take off
Su Lin Tseng
We came here for our Anniversary dinner. I am giving 4 stars for the service, the atmosphere, the chowder and salad. However, I was disappointed for Fish and Chips...for me, the fish are dry, very dry. For two pieces of Fish and Chips cost $26 dollars, and I gave up eating after one. You need to pay for the parking for dine-in.
Matt Mobley
Wonderful seafood right on the water. Great, fast service. Awesome views of Lake Union and the marina from the patio!
Kent Bozlinski
Food was fantastic and the crab cakes are a must. A little spendy but hey... seafood.
Wendy Whitaker
Stopped here from airport on way to Bellevue. Easy parking, great view of Lake Union and space needle, delicious chowder.
Ang G
We stopped in to try oysters. We're vacationing and had been running around all day and found this area for seafood. The patio is large with nice views. We each ordered a different dish to try. We also ordered an app, soup, and decided to each try a couple of raw oysters since they didn't have the rockefeller. We asked the server what types were available and he kindly entertained our inexperience with this. The soup is very good and so are the field greens. The cod fish was surprisingly mediocre. Greasy and obviously frozen. The stuffed halibut was ok. The salmon Pasta was nice. The server forgot our oysters or... I'm not sure what happened. We just let it go since we had already received our entrees. I think for the prices charged there should be better outcomes food wise. Ambiance is great, but there's more to upscale dining than water views. This would not be my first choice in this area again. The soup, salad and salmon are worth a try. Oh, there's a charge to park! Even on Sunday evenings after 7. Another thing I didn't get about this place. Maybe there's a problem with parking here? We might have not used the lot since everything was wide open but we were already parked and walking in when we saw the parking pay station.
Neva Alf
Greatest place for Clam Chowder! And the view is fantastic!
Amber Kelley
I would give this 5 stars if it weren't for the long table wait. See if you can call ahead to get put on the list for a table. The food itself though and the table service were perfect - zero complaints! Extremely delicious and fresh seafood.
Brittany Taylor
After living here for four months I’ve found not many restaurants in Seattle are consistent I’ve given some others a try but as far as consistency goes I’ve never been disappointed with Dukes. All places are going to mess up sometimes but if I want to get something I know I’ll enjoy in this area I’ll come here.
Keon Wu
After about an hour wait, we were starving when arrived and ordered a lot of food. The portion was big and all of the dishes tasted superb! Out seating also got a lake view. Totally worth the wait and can’t wait to come back again!
Queen Bituli
Although my burger was more medium rare than medium well it was still good. Because of the cook on it I only ate the edges. Ambiance gets a plus. Lo action gets a plus.
June
Duke's is one of our favorite date night dinner locations and this location is the one we usually go to. The food is great. Highly recommend the salmon salad or crab cake sandwich they are delicious. Also the blueberry lemonade cocktail is dangerously yummy. And of course you should definitely try the clam chowder as well!
Dancing Steph
We went to celebrate my son's birthday here. The food, environment and service was top notch! They even had a delicious vegan dish! It's located right on the water! It was a meal and night to remember!
Shelby Welch
This food was one of the best meals I've had. I'm already craving it again..Came down to celebrate turning 30 and Tim was very friendly and kind. Loved the restaurant really fun yet beautiful vibe and stunning views!
Kathie Jordan
We celebrated my son's and daughter's birthdays. EVERYTHING was superb, from the time I made the reservation through the wonderful meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and would ho back again if ever back in Seattle.
Michael Metzler
A great location, on the road to Fremont area. On the water. Gorgeous views. Local chain... did not seem to affect the quality of the food. The food was at least a good as the view. The service was very good. Highly recommended.
Vera Sustek
Romantic set up with lake views, if you're sitting outside on the deck ...and the best chowder soup !!!
I definitely will be back for more :) of both
My Crazy Life In Hawai'i
..a good friend and his family flew in from San Francisco, CA this morning and made dinner reservations for all of us here at Duke's...this place was a "recommendation" from a friend of his...
..I haven't seen my good friend in over a decade when he came to visit Hawaii...so of course "da Company" was GREAT!!!
..ordered the 3-Course Meal with the entree as Fish and Chips and my son ordered the same!!! ..wasn't impressed!!! ..my son says the Fish and Chips was BORING!!! ..this dish needs some lemon and maybe some malt vinegar...did not like any of the dipping sauces!!!
..don't think I'll ever dine here again...
Mark Richards
Wow. Their food is excellent and at a good price. We have enjoyed the menu for years.
My favorite go to meal is the clam chowder bread bowl.
Just a side note. The whole area is under construction. So go with caution and enjoy.
Emily Mangone
Good crabcakes and crab dip, the coconut curry cod was over cooked. Amazing views and location.
Daniel Hampton
New location is nice. Right now they only have outdoor dining but it overlooks the lake and is covered and heated which is nice. Same great menu. Price is a bit high but this is downtown Seattle, expect to pay more based on rent and overhead. Staff has low turn over and is friendly. Overall a great place to grab some award winning chowders and Rockfish tacos!
Dans Adventures
Great place, brought my buddies here for a last hurrah before he left for basic training. Had the crab sandwich which was delicious, buddy of mine had the lobster chowder, wish I got that cause it was amazing. Got a nice balanced Long Island ice tea.
Nice place to eat!
Marggiory Davila
Like always delicious food and beautiful outdoor seatting area with space needle view
Silvio Garcia
Clams Chowder was amazing, views beautiful and service outstanding.
Gavin McNatt
Food was really good, arrived just in time for happy hour. Drinks were really cheap, food was expensive still, but easily worth it. Views outside on the lake were nice as well. Spencer took good care of us
Marwan Obeidat
Chowder was good, Halibut fish and chips was just ok nothing special.
Yalined Rohena
Wait way longer than they said, drinks were not good. Cheeseburger was tasteless, salmon was dry. HOWEVER, their clam chowder was amazing, bread and butter was great, the squid steak appetizer was delicious, the tiny bites appetizers were both great and the server was really charming.
Derick M
Great place to enjoy good food, pleasant views and friendly service.
Adam Das
Stuffed fish was really good. The stuffing was better than the first itself. The chowder was okay.
Tara Diaz
Amazing service by far!!! Had a friend recommend this restaurant and I'm so glad she did. Amazing experience from start to finish. Was greeted and seated promptly with an awesome view. My server, Greg was outstanding. On top of it the whole time! One of the best waiters I have had. Food came out fast and was delicious. Had the Lobster Chowder, 1/2 oysters and Cioppino. Thank you to the amazing cooks as well. Would highly recommend all three dishes! Great portion size and food was hot when served. Thank you for this amazing experience and quality service! If you are in the area you MUST check this restaurant out. Don't let the construction detour you.

Just WOW. Josh, our server, was so patient and amazing and his recommendations were on point. The macadamia halibut was the star of our meal but everything was so good that I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Thanks again Josh!

Great food. I was on the hunt for fish & chips, and Duke's didn't disappoint. I ordered the combo Fish & Chips and Clam Chowder. It was amazing. The view was beautiful and the service exceptional. Be prepared - it's pricey, but it's truly a "dining experience."

We ate here a couple of times during our trip to Seattle. They have outside seating, which I preferred. The restaurant is so popular that it gets noisy inside. The sour dough bread is amazing. We enjoyed the chowders. The fish tacos are good and huge. We took one back to the hotel and it was good cold the next day. Their strawberry lemonade is good and arrives in a sugar rimmed glass; very appealing to the eyes. Both times I left with carrot cake with smooth cream cheese icing, the way it should be, to go. I recommend this restaurant, especially if you can sit outside.

Very friendly staff; pleasant and tentative, AAA+++.
Crab Cake appetizer came with a tasty sw avacado/corn side. Spring salad with fruit and candied nuts, and vinaigrette was very good. I had a small bowl of chowda. The fish and chips entree was very good. Nice decor, pleasant atmosphere, beautiful view. Great place to visit for a good seafood meal. The menu has a lot to offer, but I came for the chowda and crab cake. Good eats.

Everything we ate was very good, but the chowder bread bowls were unbelievably good.

Great food, service, and views. Also super cool decor. If you like Bloody Marys, the one here is reasonably priced, delicious, and comes with two prawns.

Best clam chowder. Awesome. Eat this with the sourdough bread. Perfecto for a cold day.
