Reviews of Delancey
Raven J.
Wooohooo pizza is really good here! We sat at the bar and watched the oven fire and the pizza-making process. It was a quite nice experience! The staff team is very friendly and organized. Weekend dinner time can get a bit busy.
I recommend ordering the olives - it’s a mix of 3 types and each tasted delicious.
Peter Powell
An intimate but relaxed and funky spot serving up awesome pizzas. The salads are absolutely delicious as well. If you like anchovies (or even if you don't think you do) you owe it to yourself to try the Romana pizza. It's supreme! The only false note of the evening were the selections of reds by the glass. Luckily we tried a taster first. Took a pass on both offerings.
Robert Messenger
OMG! Amazing! We enjoyed a sausage with mushrooms and grilled onions.
Maybe the best pizza I have ever had!
Nice beer selection too!
Thanks and keep up the Awesome!!
P. Kahn
Had a fantastic experience here on a Tuesday early evening. Jersey salad was amazing, pizza was amazing and the wine was amazing. Can't wait to come back. Oh yeah, service was, yup amazing.
Katie Carl
My boyfriend's favorite pizza place in all the land. He always orders a beer (wine for me), Jersey salad, and a Brooklyn pie. Perfect for two people.
(Except this time we got an extra white pizza with some added broccoli since it had been too long since we got to enjoy the Delancey atmosphere). Highly recommend.
There will be a wait! So go early and then hang out at the local cocktail bar while you wait.
Jennifer Pohly
Fantastic pizza and great appetisers as well. Interior is well decorated and put together. Overall fun and tasty experience.
Arman Cohan
Great pizza and a cozy vibe. Cocktail and dessert menus are very limited. Beware that 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, even for take out orders.
Katie Shawver
My favorite pizza in town! The Jersey salad goes perfectly with the pizza. Go early to avoid a wait, or plan to have a drink at Essex while you wait. Ask about the off-the-menu white pie!
David Pohly
Solid Pizza and excellent sides that come in shareable sizes . Great atmosphere. Love the salty chocolate cookie.
Matthew Penta
Truly best pizza I have had in Seattle. Getting a pizza and appetizer split with someone is fairly priced. Be sure to add the special toppings they have!
Shirley Arteaga
I have had Delancey a handful of times and goodness gracious it is delicious!!! Every time, I walk away feeling so happy and satiated. The white pie… my, oh my… to die for! I’m usually a fan of red and not white but this pizza is by far the absolute best. Hands down!! Not to mention, the prices are more than reasonable for the quality and flavor your get. Highly recommend you do yourself the favor of trying this deliciousness!!
Michael Spicer
Excellent pizza. What stood out the most was how I wanted to eat the entire crust. They were able to do a two order half and half on a 12-in pizza. Exquisite service, very personable, very knowledgeable, very approachable. Will definitely go back.
Abbey Hill
So so so good!! The hot honey was the best addition to our pepperoni pizza! The jersey salad was one of the best appetizer salads I have had, especially with the homemade croutons. Wood fired green beans were great — definitely recommend!
Lisa Clark
First time at Delancey’s and I would give more than 5 stars if I could. We waited in the adjacent bar for our table and had great service, drinks, and appetizers.
Then we sat at the counter and were amazed by the traditional and inventive pizzas while watching every employee fully focused on making sure we had a great experience.
This is a must go to.
creimer22
Burn alert! If you like a really aggressive char on your pizza, this is the place for you. I could taste the potential greatness of the pizza but both of the ones we ordered were ruined by the black crust. I was sad to see such thoughtfully prepared ingredients served this way. Otherwise, the cauliflower dish was delightful and the service friendly. We waited about 10 minutes past our reservation time but the hostess kept us updated.
Michelly Calzadilla
We had to call 11 times over 15 minutes to place an order. It isn't mentioned on the website or phone, but there is an automatic 20% gratuity added to your take out order. Anyways, we ordered the Brooklyn with Anchovies, the Bacon and Onion, and two chocolate chip cookies. The pizza is tasty - Medium size / good for two people. The crust had big black bubbles all over it, the bottom too, which created a bitter taste to some bites. Good quality cheese and sauce. The cookies are OK - large and crunchy. All in all, I don't think I'd order from here again because $60 is a lot for take out on two Medium pizzas and two cookies.
Mary Jewett
Great tasting pizza. Wine selection is fantastic for a small shop. Essex next door for cocktails before and/ or after is awesome! They have some great apps as well!
mathieu baissac
Tomatoe salad was super fresh. The pizzas were ok. Pepperoni pizza was well balanced, the olive/anchovies was not too salty and the margherita was soso. Service was most excellent. Olives were ok- bread to mop up oil would have been nice. The place got very hot due to oven I suspect.
Masoud A.
Honestly, I did not find anything special here. Pizza is usual, and you may find such quality and taste in many other places. You may find better quality in Italy for sure. It is worth it to try.
Emee Pumarega
I’d heard a lot about this place, and finally getting there it did not disappoint. New York/New Haven style pizza in a cozy space with wood fired sides like padron peppers and crispy potatoes. Everything was delicious. Great cocktails and wine/beer list. Prepare for a bit of a wait. Next door there is a vegan ice cream shop— cool!
Sun Kim
One of the better pizza places in town. Love the ambience, the music and the lights. We liked the white pie the most. Definitely a must!
Jasmine Feng
Great pizza. Love the thin crust and the char and the various toppings. The mushroom is so good!
Dan Allison
The salad is amazing, very, very good.
Pizza was not as good as it's been in the past. Crust didn't have much flavor although it was still good.
Got there at 5 to a line on Friday but it went pretty fast. They seem to be doing a good take out business. A nice neighborhood spot.
Hugo Mesenbring
The best Neapolitan pizza in Seattle probably the best pizza. Post alley (New York style) a close second, how do you compare?
Sage Bedell
Truly remarkable pizza. A worthy restaurant. Get a drink at the bar next door as you wait and enjoy.
Todd Swanson
So much attention is paid the to details here. The menu is well thought out and doesn't attempt to do too much.
Everything we had was delicious: salad, beer, wine, pizza, and dessert!
The pizza was so good we couldn't even get a picture before it was half gone.
Taylor Ciambra
I can't express how much I love this pizza. The dough is airy and light, the sauce isn't spicy (at least on the margherita), and they drizzle extra olive oil right on top of the pizza, makong for one delicious pie. Service was also super friendly and fast. The ambiance is really lovely too: books and wine on the walls, jazzy instrumental music, oven right there for you to watch the pizzaiolos do their thing. My favorite pizza restaurant in Seattle!
Michael Arthur
Nice neighbourhood spot selling napoli style pizzas. Best in the hood but not in the city. Tasty toppings but the overly crunchy dough wasn’t A+. Usually a wait so go here early mid-week for no line.
Kate
Flavors were absolutely delicious. Some of the best I've had. We got seated in just 5 minutes on a Tuesday night. Staff seemed a mix of friendly and not, but the person checking in on our table was warm and friendly. Crust was well-cooked for us, but probably a bit dark for other folks. We were just visiting but if we lived in the area this would likely be a regular spot for us!
Jeremy Peronto
We’ve been coming here for years, and it’s consistently some of the best pizza in town. The dough is perfectly leavened and light, toppings are simple and balanced, and ingredients are really high quality. These days we do take out pretty frequently, and have found that the trick is to arrive at opening to beat the rush.
Suchit Panjiyar
Great pizza but very expensive!
I drove 20 minutes to get to the spot because a friend highly recommended it but a 20% gratuity for takeout at that point wasn’t exactly gratifying for me!
Alex Maloney
Great wood fire pizza! I’m not a sausage pizza person, but their handmade sausage has CHANGED MY MIND. It’s amazing and this place is now my go-to pizza spot in Seattle. It’s also just as good the next day in the air fryer.
Jeff
Great neighborhood pizza place. Friendly service. Go early to minimize the wait! One suggestion for improvement: more clearly which dishes are vegetarian. Asparagus seems vegetarian but is not.
Bri
Burrata and Jersey salad were phenomenal, Crimini pizza left much to be desired. Was surprised that the mushrooms were uncooked and without flavor. Water service was on point. I’ll be back, but definitely ordering a different pizza.
Absar Alam
Although not advertised, this is probably the closest to NY-style pizza I’ve tasted in Seattle so far. Staff is also super friendly and if the wait time for your carry out order is taking longer than expected, they’ll even bring the order out to your car so you don’t have to go back in.
Jess Sol
Visited Seattle from Chicago and this spot was nearby. I had it 2 nights out of the 4 that I was there because it was that good! Their drink menu could be better but they have the basics. Great service
Cute place.
Michael Klozar
Decadent, deadly and delicious. Housemade sausage pizza, molten chocolate chip cookie and raw cookie dough ball with vanilla ice cream. I have just identified my last meal request. What a way to go.
Andreea-Elena Gagiu
Food is good. The service is nice. The wait is a bit too much. The large salad looks like a tall cake. Could feed a small village.
Anne Kirchner
So happy they are open for inside dining again. Great service, fabulous food-and not just the pizza, which is the best wood-fired in town, in my opinion. The sides, salads, cocktails (limited until Essex opens again...) and wines all well prepared and well chosen. Always a favorite.
Julian Garcia
Friendliest staff in the world! And super delicious pizza.
Jo Pa
Amazing pizzas with high quality ingredients. The dough is delicate and wood-fired flavorful, making each bite an ear to ear smiling experience. I know I just laid it on thick there but, with a city saturated in hand tossed pizzas, Delancey's stands well above the competition as the best. Get the mushroom pizza (my favorite) or the sausage, but you won't go wrong with any selection on the mains, and the sides don't disappoint either!
Bahram Banisadr
Solid pizza, you won’t go wrong. Does it live up to the hype though? Hard to say. I really enjoyed it, but they way people talk, it should have changed my world. Just wasn’t quite up to the ridiculously high bar.
Marc-Antoine Dubé
This pizza is legit! Freshly made to order, baked in a real wood fire oven! This place is hard to beat!
Rosey Bottoms
Absolutely the most delicious pizza I've ever had in my life I like the wood fired but not too well done I don't like it chard
Quintessential Quinn
By far the cities best wood fired pizza. Located in the Ballard district. We ordered burrata and a white pizza. Wow! The best. Proof of Covid19 vaccine required before allowed in. Tip was included on bill. I will visit again the next time I'm in Seattle.
Per Sveen
Very long wait but for a very good reason. Pizza is incredible, as is the atmosphere. Perfect date spot
Stephen Long
The pizza is really tasty. I had the sausage pizza which is savory with a slight sweet undertone. Next time in Ballard I will go again. My only real critique is price. The pizza is very similar to Modpizza, but costs around 30-40% more.
Claire Jenkins
The cauliflower and sausage pizza were both so good. Great service. Would definitely come back. An appetizer and a pizza was enough food for two people.
Scott Wittet
Not impressed.
Our go-to pizza is Cornuto, the Neapolitan place on Greenwood, but they're closed for the holidays so we tried Delancey tonight for the first time.
We got a sausage and onion pie -- $30 including a 20% tip. And the credit card receipt included another slot for additional tipping, in case you wanted to pay more for someone to carry your pie 20 feet from the oven to the pickup table.
The pie was alright, but basically reminded me of standard American pizza. It was much more charred than I like, both on the edges and bottom, and I would have sent it back if we were dining in. For that price you'd think they could do a better job. We'll be glad when Cornuto reopens.
Greg Poe
My pizza was so good! We got two flavors: The one with the white sauce and the salami one. I highly recommend the salami pizza. It's among the best pizzas I've ever had. Even though it's pizza, this restaurant is nice enough to go to on a date. Plus, it's right next door to an ice cream place.
Sarah Brauneis
Love the pizza here! You can expect a wait to be seated but if you're a smaller group it is not too bad. If you're a larger group you can always pop across the street to the bar to get a drink to tide you over until they give you a call. The service was prompt and friendly. A great warm place to spend time, especially in the chilly fall and winter months.
seth ellingsworth
So good. The quality of every individual ingredient contributes to the whole. Epic pizza with fantastic flavor development. The crust was perfect with blackened freckled crust. I loved everything about it. If they have the fennel, say yes!
Bryen Graver
Absolutely. Top. Notch. Hands down best pizza in the city. My wife and I, pizza snobs, will forever have Delancey on our "A" list of restaurants.
Service: 5/5
Wine & beer list: 5/5
Most importantly, their pizza: 6/5
We've spent years trying to find a better pizza spot and none have quite hit that balance of perfect dough and excellent toppings. If you've never been, you must try it. And whatever pizza you get, one of them NEEDS to be the White Pie.
Ryanna Ryanna
Best pizza in Seattle. Stacks up well against other top pizzerias in big cities across the country.
Mark Merkord
Amazing. Some of the best pizza we've had in the US. And the oven roasted green beens were excellent. Service and atmosphere was great. We'll be back.
Ylan Muller
Cozy, busy, and tasty! I'm always surprised when there is a dairy-free option at a pizza place - I was prepared to ask for a pizza with no cheese (which always garners odd looks), but it turns out that wasn't necessary! I admittedly ate an entire one myself because it was delicious. Savory with thin crusts and fun topping specials to customize and make it your own. Love it!
Amanda Edelstein
I wish I had pictures of the two times I’ve eaten here, both with friends and with family. The pizza is legitimately some of the best I’ve ever had, and I consider myself a connoisseur of perfect pies. The wine, don’t even get me started on their wine selection 🤤. It lines the walls of the tiny, rustic interior and makes me feel like I’m away in some small town in wine country. Wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly, chefs and talented, food is phenomenal. Only downside is the host is a little curt...seems like she’s always had a bad day. But that’s the only thing that’s a small deterrent.
Justin Perry
Perfect pizza. It's wonderful to see the wood burning in the oven when you walk in. Crusts are crispy where they need to be and chewy where they need to be, with a fantastic char here and there. Toppings are delicious and well-balanced. Service is friendly and the drinks looked good although we didn't have any. Also the shishito peppers starter was out of this world, and I would go back just for those. Overall a really great place and well worth the possible wait.
Yuki
The ice cream one scoop is so big for me, so I bought the child size🤣
Jaimie McCausland
My new go-to for legitimate stone fired pizza any night of the week. Great place to bring out out of town guests. Excellent menu -- love the salad and wine selection too. Great ambiance, and Essex next door is a great place to start while you wait to be seated. Reservations recommended!
Noel Paterson
Pizza was delicious. Cauliflower was so good I am going to try to recreate at home! The staff was wonderful and the owner greeted my mom and I like old friends. Definitely a fantastic place to enjoy good and drinks.
Adam Anderson
My girlfriend and I had a nice dinner here. We shared a salad, a pizza, and a cookie. The salad was well done. The pizza was thin, crispy, and flavorful. We just had pepperoni but the ingredients were all good. Definitely get the cookie! Lastly, the space/decor is pretty simple and clean and our server was quick, helpful, and friendly. Will recommend.
kelsey ferguson
Great wood fired pizzas, similar to a couple places in New York my husband and I used to frequent before moving here in the fall. It isn’t New York pizza, but it’s one of the better ones I’ve had in seattle. A bit pricey IMO.
Ingrid Shragge
Cozy little restaurant with delicious food. Got a the Brooklyn pizza, jersey salad and a Moscow mule, everything was great. Went on a Friday night and it took 2 hours to get a table so we stopped by to put our names down and then left until our table was ready (they text you). Will definitely go again!
Cyrus Shepard
Definitely delicious. Friendly, helpful service. For dessert, had ice cream next door.
Listen, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. Yep, it's damn good. Honestly, I wouldn't wait 2 hours though. Life is short. The pizza is pizza. It doesn't cure cancer.
This is the weirdest review I ever wrote. Have a nice day.
Noah Presnell
The burrata is always incredible, the pepperoni or hot salami pizzas are some of the best in town, and if you opt for adding a salad, fair warning, the large is gigantic and can feed a small village
Adam Clemans
Wife and I were in the area and dropped in on a Tuesday night without reservations. Sat immediately and got prompt service. We tried sausage, margherita, and spicy salami pizza, plus the chicory salad. Everything was amazing. Wife says it is the best pizza she's ever had. They have a decent wine selection, cocktails, and mostly local beers. Only critique was that we had to get their attention to take our food to go and get the check, our server would duck in and out without looking our way.
Sallyann Corn
BEST pizza in Seattle, hands down. Love the charming, neighborhood vibe. Love the staff, love the interior, the pizza, and the fact that it's always warm and cozy from the pizza oven. Order the Jersey Salad, the Brooklyn Pizza, a big glass of red wine and be prepared to be the happiest person EVER.
Roger Knopf
Great place, excellent pizza, flavor is king here and the queen is homemade ingredients. Staff is friendly and attentive. My only beef was my wife's salad was extremely gritty. Unfortunately I couldn't convince her to let the server know someone forgot to wash the lettuce, I think it does them a disservice.
This is the quintessential neighborhood restaurant. I bet many of the other patrons walked. I would be here regularly if I lived in walking distance.
Brian Donhauser
Great list of beers and cocktails for a small pizza spot. Pizza was light and delicious. Similar to Tutta Bella. Salad serving size was huge. Made me happy. Cool spot. Friendly service. I'd go back.
Garrett Berkey
Would give this a 5 star, except one of the servers was strangely rude and sassy.
Went here for a birthday of a friend, she invited about 15 people. Our server was fantastic and did a great job accommodating everyone. The food was incredible and worth the hype that about the farm to fork food. We were eating at 8:30pm on a Thursday and there were only 4 other customers in the restaurant, so we were not really being a problem. As one more person came in late a separate server shouted over the whole table that they will not serve anyone else that joins the group. It was just odd and was very out of the blue. We were disappointed to have that happen, but I understand that large groups are stressful. Would recommend for anyone wanting a mellow vibe and great food. Would simply say that some of the servers would rather deal with couples all night long. If you have a group over 4 people I cannot recommend.
Tony Lupino
Best pizza in Seattle. New York style. Get the Brooklyn!
Adam Albaum
Not only is the pizza fantastic at Delancey (seriously, it's fantastic), but the people are awesome as well. Super friendly, accommodating, and fast service. This place rules.
J.T. Erickson
Hostess bent over backwards to get us a table, and the wait staff was wonderful! Pizza was yummy, that and a small salad satisfied two of us!
Jeb S
Hands down the best pizza in Seattle. Try the seasonal toppings. If you need to wait, go have a drink and appetizer at Essex next door. People giving this place one star for having to wait are ridiculous, and are truly missing out on incredible pizza. Easy solution: find 6 people and make a reservation. I do it all the time and it works perfectly.
Alistair Lattimore
Booked ahead with a group of 12 after work, no problem. We ordered one of most pizzas, everyone was very satisfied - I loved the hot salami, sausage and margherita pizzas. Staff were super friendly, would definitely recommend and visit again.
Owen Rogers
This may very well be the best pizza in Seattle. And while other upscale pizza joint charge upwards of $25 or more per pie, these are reasonably priced at $15 or so. Order two. You won't be disappointed.
Portland Peony
Host was either short handed or irritable due to high volume of customers...either way not professional. Pizza had some beautiful tasting fennel, but was a bit pricey and small for the cost. If your in this area, check out the vegan ice cream next door!
Kacie Stovall
I really enjoyed Delancey. We visited on a weekday around 5:30 and were seated right away. We ordered the hot salami and white pie. They were both delicious but I would go back just for the white pie. The service was quick and attentive. I look forward to returning.
Kulpreet Rana
I'd give this 3.5 if I could but will round to 4 based on potential. We went there as a group of 4 and ordered the large Jersey salad and two pizzas. My main issue is that both pizzas were overcooked and had significant burnt (not just charred) portions. I'm a big fan of Neopolitan pizza and know that it's supposed to be charred, but this was excessive. I highly recommend asking for it to be lightly charred when you order. The large size of the Jersey salad was humongous and we had quite a bit of leftover even after we split it among the four of us. Atmosphere is quite cozy and lovely, and the service was just fine.
Jacob Marquez
A small, quaint, homey restaurant serving wood fire pizzas of many varieties along with other sides. Expect a wait as the locals flock to get their fix of yeasted dough covered in cheese and sometimes meats. We tried the sausage pizza. A simple red sauce, mozzarella, pie with their homemade sausage it was good. But it didn't meet the expectations of the local hype and the long wait.
While waiting though, check out Essex for the fantastic drinks. Also get a starter which is the same from delancey. The asparagus was great.
I'm willing to give it another try with my all time favorite white pie with mushrooms. Until next time.
Tatjana Sekulić
We got takeout and when we came home my husband's pizza was just perfect (onion salami) but mine was completely burnt, entire edge was just black. I don't mean just chared but totally burnt so when you eat you just taste and smell burnt dish. I'm sorry I didn't check the pizza on the spot cause I would request new one for sure. We will return for sure, but this time I'll check what I ordered.
Alex DeLeon
I've had the pizza a few times, and stopped for a quick meat and cheese platter with some wine. The ambiance is wonderful, the staff is friendly, and the food is great across the board. There can be a long wait for a table if you're going to dinner, so be prepared for that.
Rodrigo Vanini
Great thin crust pizza, premium ingredients, decent variety. Gets packed on the weekends so wait times and parking can be a challenge. Worth the hassle though. Nice atmosphere, delicious pies. Cookies are huge and tasty, a bit expensive though.
patrick davis
Loved the crew...and the pizza was awesome. The owner was there and he was great at answering questions and was totally into it. Even though it was busy, it still felt laid back. My girl loved the pizza, but she was also stoked by the extra touches...like the vintage flatware and barware. We will be going back.
Jessica Kessler
I haven't found a lot of pizza in Seattle that I love, but this place is great. Get there early to put your name down cause there's usually a wait, then grab a drink nextdoor at Essex which is owned by the same folks. The classic margherita is my favorite, but I'm a pizza purist sometimes. They're all good!
Joe Szopa
Best pizza I've had in years. The house-made Italian sausage aromas fill your nostrils. The perfect balance of a pizza from the crust, to the sauce (which these pizzas favor over cheese) the lightest mozzarella and basil. The Italian salad is also very good. Split it with a friend.
J Ad
Only pizza in Seattle worth craving. This comes from an Upstate New Yorker who's worked in several Italian owned pizzerias. Not a NY style, but very good pies.
Benj Shasha
Some of the best pizza in Seattle by folks who just want you to eat a delicious meal. The ambience is nice, but prepared to be almost shoulder to shoulder with over pizza loving enthusiasts as the only way to get this delicious pie is by showing up and waiting your turn.
Other items on the menu were also tasty with the salad and root beer satisfying an odd combination of desires. However, the pizza is why i came and it will be the reason that I go back.
John Pickens
Great pizza, great ambiance, great service. I was told it had a romantic vibe, would somewhat disagree, it was a little loud, but not bad. Their cocktail lounge next door is romantic and recommend for a pre-dinner drink.
Kevin D
Staff was pleasant and courteous. The food was amazing. On a cold rainy night, the dining area may have a chill, so bring a coat.
Jay Mitra
Wow. I went to Delancey on a neighbor's recommendation (on pi day) and the pies didn't disappoint. Perfect chewy dough and delicious meticulously sourced and cooked ingredients. They even had something I hadn't tried before; nettle pesto! Cocktails are superb as well.
Alex Smith
BEST PIZZA IN ALL OF SEATTLE! Arrive early as they don't take reservations, order a jersey salad ( literally, will rock your socks off), a glass of wine and one of their pizzas, my go to is their pepperoni with kalamata olives and mushrooms, and you will be in food heaven.
Mike
Super tasty pizza in a cool spot! Just get there early-ish because this place fills up quick. For good reason too. Really fresh ingredients, friendly staff, great atmosphere, and spectacular food.
Sam Vogel
The place had an hour wait on a Wednesday evening around 5:45! Luckily there were enough spots for us on the small bar. The food would have been worth the wait though. The pizzas were delicious and the atmosphere was great.
Tania Kenner
The first night had a two hour wait so we decided to go back the following night shortly after they opened and got right in. So worth it! Outstanding pizza, yummy healthy sides, to die for desserts, and really good cocktails. Can't go wrong with Delancey's.
Nick Brooks
Having tried a ton of spots, this is without doubt the best for us. The homemade sausage was delicious, with an incredible wood fire base. So great having the Essex bar next door, which has an extensive full bar.
Big fan, will be back!
John Davies
Uber popular pizza place with salads desserts and an attached somewhat related bar next door. This is artisan pizza with hand stretched dough and a wood fire oven. Consistency of doness can vary with one pizza lightly toasted and the next with a blackened.crust...but customers don't seem to mind. Expect long waits (1hr) for a table and they can run out of ingredients if it is busy.
Federico Espriu
Local favorite. Usually a wait on the weekends so most people get on the list and go to the bar next door to wait which share owner. Pizza is the specialty, some believe this is one of the best in Seattle.
Dennis Galvin
Great place to go for real wood-fired pizza. Cozy -- with the demand, you may wait a while to be seated. Pizzas are done to perfection. Airy, thin crust with just the right amount of toppings.
Cole Snyder
Pizza is great and the atmosphere is fun and light-hearted. I typically go past 8pm and it can be a 30 minute wait at that time, but Essex is right next door so it's easy to kill time getting a drink.
Allie Welsh
Delancey Delancey. When I moved to Seattle, I was ecstatic to live so close to this place that I had read about. It doesn't disappoint. It is real and unpretentious. The pizza is awesome. Beer and wine list is thoughtful. And the place smells awesome. Essex is a great place to wait with a cocktail.
K Jansson
So freaking good. The pepperoni pizza was the best I've ever had. So much flavor and I'm not a huge pepperoni guy. The crimini was much more subtle and could have used a bit more flavor but was still good.
Bob May
AMAZING pizza and very good wine. The waiters are knowledgeable and energetic and the service is fast. The only downside is that they're closed mondays and there always seems to be a 45 minute wait. Luckily they're connected to a very nice bar.
Tim O'Connor
The crust has layers of flavor if you pay attention. The sauce is perfectly balanced salt to sweet to acid. It's a comfortable spot with coziness where the focus is on your company.
LeninsLemonade
Ok, to start, it isn't horrible. I don't think the pizza gave me diseases, but that's about where my praise ends. The pizza itself was mediocre at best. The waitress told us that the wait was about an hour and a half, so we asked for take-out. She said that it was about 20-30 minutes for that. Alright, we're going to get 4. "We can only do 3 at a time per take-out order." Alright, we'll place another order, since there're two credit cards here. She gave us quite the weird look and went: "oh," like nobody's ever thought about that before. I felt more and more disappointed with each slice. Honestly, don't waste your time/money here, just go for another place. But hey, don't listen to me anyway, I'm just a bitter guy on the Internet without a valid opinion. Sorry to waste your time.
Angela Leung
Great pizza, Meyer lemon budino was a great surprise!
Dylan Grant
Everything here is super good. The pizzas are why you come but make sure to get the burger in the attached bar, Essex. It is the best in Seattle. Friendly staff and good cocktails
Jordyn Bradshaw
One of those secret neighborhood type places with delightful pies, well sourced ingredients, and great wine. Lovely atmosphere too! If you don't get there right at opening you've got a bit of a wait ahead of you, but I promise it's worth it!
Lucia Sanchez
Nice little neighborhood pizza place. I really like it and will definitely be back, but I do think it's a bit over hyped. They take no reservations on weekends and on the normal dinner hours (just early 5ish or late 8+) which sort of sucks especially as there are really no alternatives nearby.

We just moved to Seattle from Brooklyn, and this pizza tastes, feels, and smells like home! Since arriving, we've averaged 1 visit per week... and this will continue until I eat every pie and iteration on that menu!
Andrew Hawn
My friends live nearby and invited me here. It was great. Mostly their new baby was awesome, so I might be biased, but still! Good pizza.
Angus Macmillan
My favourite pizza in Seattle. Perfect for family or date nights. Expect a wait after the opening hour, because almost everyone who comes here returns for more!
jackie lasky
delicious food, amazing service.
Lawrence Dzwonkowski
Delicious pizza, pleasant and attentive waitperson while not being overbearing, and decent pricing. Like many restaurants that have been converted from store fronts, this one was quite noisy.
Derek Bergey
Favorite pizza spot in Seattle! Atmosphere, food, wine are simply top notch. If there is a wait, grab a drink next door at Essex which is equally impressive.
Nicole Belanger
Best pizza in Seattle! We order from here almost every Friday night.
Samuel Purkiss
Yes, the pizza is good, no surprise there. But their salted chocolate chip cookie is insane. I would go back just to eat a dozen of their cookies.
Pujita Tibrewala
Ordered a white pie with onions and pickled peppers. Amazing! 👌
Slightly on the pricier side. 20% gratuity was added take out which wasn’t anywhere …
Sidney Smith
Worthy contender. Best wood fired Brussels sprouts I've ever eaten. Top tier pizza with excellent char but sorry, nothing beats APizza Scholls in Portland.
Samuel Haffey
It's good and kids like it so fun for the whole family. There's usually a wait but they also own a nice bar right next door that is fun to have a drink at while you wait
Francis Brown
Pizza was good, not best I've had in Seattle. I prefer Cafe Lago or Bar del Corso. The place is a bit pretentious. Definitely catering the hipster crowd. Feels out of place in Ballard, should be in Cap Hill.
Tina Martinez
Excellent food, awesome fresh juices, great service. Loved the Dungeness omelet and my son really loved the brioche French toast. Would definitely come again.
Aubri Kottek
The *best* pizza! Everything is on point from the ingredients to the wine to the ambiance and music. A wonderful experience! Highly recommend!
Cooper Engst
They won’t take orders over the phone so I drove all the way there only to find out that a pizza was a 90 minute wait for takeout.
Monica Cox
Super busy, we waited an hour for take out but worth every minute waiting cuz it was that good. Head to Golden Gardens while you wait, it's only a 10 min drive away.
Tom Mathews
One of the best places I have been to recently... Wonderfully delicious pizzas... That's the best thin crust pizza, I have had in a long long time... We tried the the White Pie and Sausage Pizza and both of them were just amazing...
The Cocktails are just amazing with a variety of flavor... I loved the "Dennis the Menace" and and found myself ordering the same with friends again and again...
The best part about the night was the "Bitter Sweet Chocolate Chip Cookie with Gray Salt"... The best chocolate chip cookie I have ever had... Crisp yet soft with a hint of salt on the top was really mouth watering even by the looks and amazingly delicious to the taste buds...
I went on a Friday night and expect it to be crowded but the only thing that I didn't like about the night was the fact that the drinks were being brought in very very slowly... This is the first place ever, I have been to where the appetizers came way before (almost 20 mins) the drinks... The delays continued for the rest of the drinks through the night...
I am still giving it a 5 star rating as the pizza, the cocktails and the cookies just made me forget all the delays..
Zak Bollenbacher
Pizza and food is really good. But the service is terrible. Hopefully when COVID is past us, they open back with full service. They do not handle logistics well enough to be takeout only.
Daniella Deebs
Classic Seattle Pizza. Small dining room means you might need to get there early, but you can always go next door for drinks while you wait.
Arvind Arikatla
Reminds me of NJ/NYC pizza right here in Seattle! One of the few places in this city to do it right

Heard a lot of good things about this place. Unfortunately, all of out three pizzas were burnt and the prices on the menu online were far from accurate.

Trendy spot, but the pepperoni pizza we got was a little on the burnt side. Given the price, you kinda hope they knock these pies outta the park.

Certainly one of the best spots in Seattle for true Neapolitan style pizza. The restaurant itself has great service & ambience. Be prepared to wait for a table, but you pop on over to Essex right next door for a cocktail while you wait (also amazing cocktails). They’ll let you close out at Essex & bring your unfinished drink over to Delancey if your table is ready early. And while the pizza is amazing…the side dishes definitely try to steal the show, so don’t skip them.
Carrie Welch
Highly recommended! Visiting from NZ and made the 40min bus trip out of the city to dine here. Well worth the trip, it definitely lives up to its positive reviews. We visited on a Tuesday evening, was seated quickly and barely a wait for the food. Good beer and a yummy Mule cocktail. Make sure you try their starters - you won’t regret it. Great service and fabulous food - thank you for a fab evening!
