For “corporate” tacos they are okay. The chips and guacamole are consistent and fresh. Upscale Mexican with a modern twist, overall pretty good if you want to spend ~$30 per person

Was in town from Vancouver with friends. Great vegetarian options, I had the Jack fruit taco and they were amazing. All the dishes were well done and tasted homemade. Sam was so helpful, excellent service all around. Highly recommend

I was here for a team lunch. We had reservations so easily got into our seats and the staff was very friendly. The server was very knowledgeable and helped selecting our food as he explained what their special is and what the items contain. Once we ordered, everything came one by one. Great customer service and awesome food. I had chicken fried chicken, it was so delicious and hibiscus mango drink. I enjoyed the food and hospitality. It's crowded during lunch time and loud and noisy.

Great place for mexican food! Lots of seating, you do need reservations on weekends. I had few cocktails which were yum! I ordered butternut squash enchiladas which was a first for me and absolutely loved it! The quesadillas were amazing too! Not that highly priced too! Not too fancy and good Mexican cuisine find!

Pretty cool Mexican restaurant with some good evening vibes. The food is delicious and potions are huge. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. I totally recommend this place.

Damn good food! Very fresh too. Tortillas made in-house each day and taste/smell phenomenal. Our server was very nice and polite.

I've been here a few times and the tacos are great! Fresh tortillas, somewhat thicker than normal but they hold together well. Carnitas Yucatecas have delicious sweet flavor. Guacamole Carlito's Way is almost a meal all by itself - probably better for sharing than eating the whole bowl alone like I did. The service was great and food came out really fast after ordering. Things I wasn't quite satisfied with: no ice in my water, tortilla chips were freshly made but quite oily, and the rice/beans with entrees are somewhat dry and lacking much flavor.

Hard to rate this place. Service was good, food was safe for celiac but my dish was not good at all. I had one bite. I probably ordered the wrong one for my tastes but it was not good. My friends good food looked really good though. The table starters they give you were alright. Salsa was good but the guac was a bit bland. I'd like to go back one day and try another main.

Absolutely recommend. The place has a really nice vibe and not too loud and the hosts are really nice. I ordered Camarones Tacos which has Prawns, I don’t usually eat them but they were very delicious! My friend ordered Jackfruit taco and it was great as well. We told them it was our first time here and they gave us a free Flan!! Absolutely delicious!!

Ambience was great. Just tried their couple of different tacos. Tacos with shrimp were too good . The coleslaw in it was so flavorful. Shrimps were small so just perfect for tacos didn't have such good tacos in a long time. Must try. Also tried their jackfruit tacos which were super juicy and delicious.

I had only been to the Kirkland location before, but this one was just as wonderful! Don't miss out on their brunches! They still have the full menu available if you're like me and not big on breakfast food(I got the pork tacos with pineapple salsa, so good!), but the other person I was with got their amazing churro waffles. Their Mexican Coffee is wonderful as well. Our server Cierra (I may be spelling that wrong) was attentive with an amazing personality to round out our awesome experience.

This is an American Mexican restaurant. I got steak fajitas and guacamole with chips. Steak was a bit overcooked but I enjoyed it. Portions were large and tasty. Service was good. I paid total 36 USD. I am giving 5 stars because of the price and portions in this area.

The place has upbeat ambience. One of the best place for Sunday brunch specially in downtown area , when most of the restaurants are closed. The food has palatable flavours, sight pleasing presentation. We ordered chimichanga (vegan with jackfruit stuffing), shrimp tacos , Fajita and waffle churros...... I visited this place thrice and never came disappointed. Salads and vegan options are worth trying

Wow! We sat at the bar & the staff was so lovely. We had a mango fruta & a prickly pear fries to drink - so good! Then I had the brisket chimichanga & my bf had the butternut squash enchiladas - both so flavorful & delicious. Then we were surprised with flan + chips and salsa to go which was so nice of the bartenders! Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

Nice restaurant in Downtown with friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Purchased some queso guacamole and vegetable fajitas to share between the table. The guacamole was delicious and the fajitas came with plenty of toppings! Each entree was certainly enough food for at least 2 people! A delicious and delightful experience overall.

Cool tex mex menu with delicious food. Unique dish I tried was butternut squash enchilada served with beans & rice. Super filling! Can top off with margarita - prickly pear is pretty good. Visited multiple times and very friendly staff.

Our first time in Seattle and this is the first restaurant we hit up. Inside was clean and nicely decorated and all staff was very friendly. Our server, Cassidy, was knowledgeable, kind, helpful, smiley and polite! She helped us with food recommendations and always checked in, bringing food quickly and smoothly and filling up water. She was so sweet and even gave us a free dessert (which was delicious) since it was our first time!! We really appreciated that - thank you Cassidy! We got fajitas, enchilada, and the corn quesadilla, all of which were excellent and fresh and not too heavy! We ate them up and didn’t have time for pics. Definitely recommend this restaurant it’s delicious.

We were a bunch of strangers meeting up for the first time. The place was easy to locate, free garage parking in the weekend makes it very convenient! Had Chorizo & Egg Skillet along with classic Mojito. The skillet was delicious, the chorizo was soft and amazing potatoes. Mojito was well made with good white rum. Everyone liked their food! Good place to hangout in weekend.

Came here with a group of coworkers for lunch. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious, although it took a while to come (25+ minutes.) The tables were cool and the vibes were nice.

The chips and guac were super good and the portions were huge. Try the guac with melted cheese on top. The brisket burrito was a little heavy on the brisket. The fried chili was surprisingly hood and the flavors were novel. Would visit again.

First visit here. The food tasted exceptional and service was great. Good Ambience. We ordered chips & salsa, chimichanga, fajitas (forgot to click picture), drinks and churros. The mango cactus margarita was good, but the watermelon agua fresca was mostly ice - wish the quantity was more. Loved the food.

Brisket burrita Lena was excellent! Very tasty! Fish tacos was little dry, but ok. Definitely would recommend to try it out. Drinks supposedly are very good, but we didn’t try. Service was very good and fast. Bathroom was clean and easily accessible. Overall place was very clean. Great neighborhood to wonder around. South Union Lake. Will be back.

My favorite hangout place in SLU to get some good food and catch up with friends. Wait times are never too bad, even on weekends. Food and drinks here are great, I always get their chicken fajitas. If your are looking for something their jackfruit tinga tacos are the best! Try their hibiscus drink as well.

Hosted a work event at Cactus and was very pleased with the service and the food. Reserving and prep was a breeze, with good communication from Cactus. Day of, both the manager and the hostess introduced themselves and went through a rundown of what we could expect and everything we would need. Drinks were really good, and they had a great variety of food options perfect for different dietary preferences and needs. Staff were great, would come again.

Very safe environment. Friend, efficient staff. Very tasty food. We ordered for 4. Food was quickly prepared and arrived hot and spicy. All items we ordered came in abundance - enough to take some home for a second meal.

Pumpkin spiced flan was so dang good. We had spent the day eating our way around Pike Place market and was just going to have a drink and an appetizer. The waitress hooked us up with the dessert and we had to eat it all. It was so amazing.

1 word, amazing! Drinks hit the spot, but the one thing that makes this place stand out are the flavors! You can taste every ingredient and you just get a pop once you take the first bite. It was our first time here tonight and we had the empanadas as an appetizer, crispy outside and tender meat in the inside! Paired up with a margarita and a Michelada! Followed by some chicken nachos and prawn fajitas! The nachos were cheesy and tasty while the fajitas rocked my mouth! To top it off, we’ve had the best flan ever! I’ve had flan one million times, but this flan MELTS in your mouth. It was a whole different experience with this flan 10/5 stars! You won’t be disappointed! Props to Oscar our server and the manager for the flan! Will come back when I’m in the Seattle area again!

I always love Cactus! Nth visit and still love it. I am a non-vegetarian and I ordered some veggie dish (Poblano Chile) and I loved that too. They have slightly American twist on their Mexican dishes but in a good way and you will love it. I don't think anything is disappointing here.

I am had such an amazing experience here. My husband and I came to this restaurant blindly just looking for something to eat after a long train ride and we’re greeted with such a cheerful server Carrigan who gave us great recommendations on the food and also places to check out. I honestly believe Carrigan was the most attentive server I ever had! The food itself was amazing enriched with flavor. While the only complaint I have from Cactus is not knowing about them sooner. Definitely will be making another stop before I have to leave Seattle!!!

Great PNW spin on Tex-Mex with all the main hits. Tried the fish tacos, chips and salsa, and spicy shrimp and it was all fantastic. We’ll definitely be back. They’ve also got a nice heated outdoor dining area shielded from the wind.

Enjoyed my lunch here last Thursday. Staff were kind and attentive. Food was amazing. Their salsa was so delicious! I had the Santa Fe enchiladas. They also serve jackfruit for vegan or vegetarian options. Their brunch menu looks fabulous and can’t wait to bring a family member or friend. I’ll definitely be back for more.

It took a long time from when we ordered drinks to be able to order food, but then the food arrived pretty quickly. My green chili enchilada was a nice level of spicy, I only wish there was a little more of the sauce.

I had an exceptional meal here the first night I went here so I returned a second night. On the first night, I had two small dishes and both were fantastic (one was the goat cheese fried peppers with aioli...can’t remember the other). The second night I had the butternut squash enchiladas and was disappointed. I really didn’t care for the mole rojo. Most people seem to love that dish though, so don’t let my dislike sway you :-). My only real issue was with the service. However, I think part of the issue is due to COVID. Staffing is light and tables are dispersed, so I expect serving is difficult. I was outside is felt a tiny bit ignored the first night, but it wasn’t too bad. The second night was really bad though. I actually needed to call the restaurant and ask them to send my waiter to me. Other the service issue, I would definitely return.

I went in happy hour and I ordered a mimosa but I got very dissapointed when they brought a glass with less than half the content. I considered that disrespectful with the costumers. I think the presentation wasn't the best. It looked like someone already drank it. In that moment I wanted to leave. At the begining I wanted to order a carne asada, but with that mimosa, I lost the interest in ordering something like that expensive . I told the server about the situation and he was very nice. He changed my mind with his great service. At the begining I wanted to give a bad review but he apologized and we stayed. If you go to Cactus I recommend to order the Peach Bellini Sparkling Frozen Margarita. That one was very good. The guacamole (Austin Style) and the carnitas were great too. I really liked the fact that they use compostable and reciclables containers, and also the safety measures that they have inside the restaurant.. I felt safe being there. I hope the restaurant take into account to change the presentation of this cocktail. And continue giving great service to their costumers!

The food was awesome. Specially the Butternut squash enchiladas, Baja tacos and chicken tinga chimichanga was lip smacking. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. Carrigan was supper friendly and suggested awesome dishes. Can’t wait to visit nest time.

Cactus SLU is an attractive option for those seeking Tex-Mex fare in the neighborhood. While it may not be the most authentic Hispanic cuisine out there, in both flavor and price, Cactus is nonetheless a solid option for those craving for tacos, enchiladas, or other similar dishes. The location is relatively modern and boast some nice outdoor seating area, which we utilized during our dining experience. Although I have only experienced Cactus's brunch offerings, I can confidently say that their food is quite good, with a diverse menu. I personally ordered the Chorizo and Egg Skillet, which was tasty if not slightly over salted. The staff were super friendly and even replaced an order for a friend who mistakenly got the same platter even though he doesn't eat pork. Overall, Cactus SLU was a solid experience and definitely worth trying out. But, with so many other Hispanic restaurants out there , it's hard to give it an exemplary score.

Love this place. The decor is neat. The ambience, the art, the table paint, the huge lights, everything here has a cool vibe to it. Staff was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Guacamole here is fresh and yummy, so is the salsa with the chips. The entrees are very good in their portions for the price. Overall loved it. The butter nut squash enchiladas were just awesome. So was their burritos, which are huge. And the desserts too are very good. Would definitely recommend this place.

Be we urging was delish. The mezcal mart was fantastic and my wife’s tequila colada was also great. Spicy Diablo shrimp tacos were amazing. And the flan was great. Also always a plus when the service is outstanding from the time we walked in until we left.

Great atmosphere - it's a good spot for an afterwork drink and maybe a happy hour item but there are much better places to grab texmex. I've dined here 4 times and the food is typically "okay". A bit bland but not bad. Service has always been a bit slow, even when the restaurant is mostly empty.

Do yourself a big favor and orded the guacamole...the variety is abundant and full of fresh ingredients. My mouth is watering as I write this. So, make it a must stop when you visit Seattle downtown or Alki beach location. The verde enchiladas were out of this world! Kids were happily satisfied with warm chips to go too!
