Reviews of Big Mario's Pizza
This place is awesome! The front of the place looks like a fast food, pizza by the slice business. A set of steps take you to the cozy cocktail lounge in back, with a throwback kind of feel. The pizza was delicious and filling. Drinks were great and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We have found our new Seattle go-to.
My wife and I decided we wanted a Sicilian style pie, which is incredibly rare on the West coast, especially Seattle, apparently. Only place I could find was Big Mario's, not that it's a bad thing. I've had nothing but great experiences with Mario's. I've just never ordered the Sicilian style before. Mainly due to the fact that it requires extra time to make due to several valid reasons.
I've not had a slice of Sicilian in decades and was very much looking forward to it. My wife has never had the pleasure before. I was a little apprehensive, as it will never compare to 1st/2nd generation Italian folk on the East coast that make this delicacy everyday, but I was more than pleasantly surprised by the outcome. It was cooked to perfection, just the right amount of sauce and toppings (only thing was they missed the fresh basil I requested), but even with that in mind, it was outstanding.
We drove from the University District to pick it up, as that's what we wanted. The folks working the front area tonight we're both incredibly friendly and funny. Always a plus.
You can never, ever go wrong with Mario's, whatever location. Great pizza, great employees, great drinks, great times. Seattle institution..
What a great pizza/beer/bar place! The pizza is good, not great. The atmosphere and staff are fantastic. You feel right at home whether you are a princess or a Sasquatch. They take care of you.
Pizza was delicious! They advertise their pizza as New York Style and tbh I gotta say that it’s better than most pizza places there. It’s very easy to grab a slice and go or stay for a bite. The staff members are super chill and hard working and will make or heat up your pizza relatively quickly. The slices are a good bang for your buck too as they’re pretty big (image attached is half the slice cuz the other half was already eaten lol)
Massive slices of pizza. Great service. Chill atmosphere. Go get several and shove them in your face. You won't regret it.
Stopped in after Seattle started to defrost. Amazing slice of high quality pizza! Slices were warm, thin yet crisp, and topped with a good amount of ingredients. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A great place to pop in before or after an evening walk.
Easy walk from nearby hotels and the Center. Curb seating outside, bar in the back. Sauce has a little kick to it.
The pizza is delicious. I didn't like the girl who served us. She literally laughed because of my poor knowledge of English.
Perfectly acceptable pizza. Slice of cheese is $4.25, a slice of pepperoni is $4.75. Pepperoni has a good amount of topping, while I felt the ham/pineapple pizza I ordered was a bit sparse on the toppings. But really no complaints, we enjoyed our food. Nice thin crust pizza.
3 stars because the staff were friendly and the atmosphere is good.
Won’t be coming here for pizza again though.
The pizza itself gets the job done if you’re starving or wasted, but wouldn’t recommend for anyone who wants a great slice.
The excellent pizza is just the start. There's also a phenomenal cocktail lounge in the back, but it's a sneaky one. Blink and you'll miss it! One of the best kept secrets in Queen Anne!
It's hard to find a good New York style pizza out here, and this is one of the better ones we've found. Great prices, generous slices, and lots of topping options. It's one of our go-tos to grab a bite after a concert.
Friendly people working there, good slices, and amazing VHS selection! My favorite place to get a beer and a slice and watch a classic movie.
This place is awesome I love their pizza so bad 🔥 …
I've come back here again and again, and one thing Mario's excels at is fitting different timeline needs. You need a quick bite...boom...in and out lickety split. Want to hang for a while...boom...go to the back and lavish in dive-bar coziness. The pizza is delish, and salads are a bit inconsistent on what they do or don't have, but dang, they are better than the looks of the front counter would suggest. Lots of places fill a niche, Big Mario's fills a couple.
The pizza's fine, I work close by & it's really one of very few places that offer lunch (slices) so I tend to go in a pinch. The woman whoever she is that works there is the most miserable person I've ever encountered in my life. I've waived it off before as maybe a bad day but no, she is perpetually miserable. Her face has a permanent scowl and she doesn't have a friendly bone in her body. It's as if she wants people to turn around and leave as soon as they step in the door. Yikes! They're hiring so I'm afraid she's an owner stepping in, which makes it EVEN WORSE. I'm giving 3 stars because it brings humor and drama to my day but seriously lady.
Loved their pizza. Had a couple slices and the crust was amazing. They heated it up and the crust was crispy instead of soggy. Lots of soggy crust around Seattle.
The gentleman creating the pizza aggressively yelled, “I MAKE THE BEST PIZZA”. I’ll be honest, I never heard anyone making my pizza say that.. to summarize, it was the best grab and go pizza I’ve ever had.
Nice service. Pizza was out for a while so I got 2 for 1. Need to come back and get some fresh pizza for a fair review. Bar in the back with an okay selection.
Closes at 2 AM everyday. Slight spiced red pizza sauce with red crushed peppers, great combo with the pepperoni. Great friendly service, professional and knowledgeable about its menu. By the sliced, I thought the sliced were a little more generous than other pizza shops. Very clean and great friendly service. The staff is accommodating to make the pizza how you want it with what ingredients they have on hand, VERY accommodating, WITH a smile!!
Good pizza and Courage the Cowardly Dog on the TV. Solid choice for a late night slice. The bar looked pretty divey which is awesome but I didn't go in there.
Good hangout spot for an easy week night. We went here on a Monday night after 9 pm and it was pretty lively. They have a full bar in the back and more than that somewhat NYC pizza. Well, I moved here from NYC so I will always be a tough critic but I think the pizza was decent. We loved the Seth’i hole-goat cheese and potato-pesto (I know it sounds weird) as the most delicious: good place for some pizza and drinks :)
Also the staff was extremely nice. We very much appreciated the great service.
Great pizza, I love that you can get it by the slice and they have a small bar in the back. Just a few booths separated by glass and no bar sitting for safety.
Enjoy a slice, heated up for perfect crunch before it's delivered to your table. Yum.
Best slice in Seattle in my humble opinion! The crust is perfectly charred on the bottom, crispy and with a soft, chewy inside. I would say it's a lot like a New York style pizza. The service is super friendly. They have a bar in the back which mixes up top notch cocktails for a reasonable price. Definitely enjoyed sitting down at Mario's for the slice & beverages.
Best pizza ive had!!!!! Never been to New York so cant compare but its was all natural ingredients super tasty crust was perfect staff was super friendly and hooked us up with half and half perfect way to end our first seattle trip!! Now i know where to go when we go back! Thank you 😄 …
I wouldn't say the best pizza I've ever had but they have never let me down. They serve single slices on the go I normally always go for two specials fold it like a sandwich and typically go for a walk. Head phones in, and ignoring the boring Starbuck yoga pants figi water drinks of the world. Highly recommend
This place feels like being back on the east coast. Great food and unique ambiance. Service have been a bit all over the place but generally good.
An amazing staff and selection of pizza and beverages! This is my neighborhood go to. Love everything about Mario’s!
My daughter is a professional MMA fighter and when she graduated from High school she wanted to eat her way through Seattle and have the best they have to offer. Big Mario's was the best New York style pizza and now since 2016 , it has been a tradition that when we are in Seattle we stop no matter what get an icey coldsida and the best pizza on the West Coast. A must go to.
Pizza sold by the slice or you can order a full pizza as well. I have never been disappointed with the pizza I have been served and the staff have been friendly. I think what really sucked me in was the VHS tapes they play, it just sets a certain type of vibe
This place is LITTTTTT!!!! AmAZe balls pizza, super cool, great soundtrack, and excellent staff. May or may not be a drunk review, but just a testament to the quality of beverages here. Do not pass up
If you seek actual NY Pizza flavor, texture, and smell - this is the place. Super good stuff, and in my case, it was the perfect late night snack before heading home to Tacoma. I grew up in NY - and have never actually found a pizza in WA like the stuff I had back there as a kid . Thankfully - its 3,000 miles closer and I can now get a fix when in Seattle.
This place is really bumpin at night. Staff here really hustle, so I hope they're paid, and tipped well. The pizza here freakin rocks!
We were traveling through Seattle to our cruise. A person in our group tried to order pizza from a different place and had an extremely difficult time with them. They ended up walking down to Big Mario's. This place was so nice and helped them out!
I like it! I like it a lot! Easy, inexpensive…. Huge yummy slice of vegetarian pizza. The crust is delectable… crispy and chewy at the same time. The toppings were fresh and well balanced … tomatoes and cheese. Fast, friendly … clean enough. I’ll go back for more and I’ll recommend it.
damn good slice of NY style pizza, but unfortunately it’s priced like Seatttle. $5-6 per slice for like pepperoni and cheese, but that’s standard. Open very late, which is very convenient. Bar in back with nice drinks
Great pizza, good vibes, solid bar in the back. I often grab a slice or two before Kraken games.
Best slice I've had in this city. That's a lot coming from me. If Dave Portnoy came here he would rate it in the 7s or 8s, easily. If you order online through Toast you may be given a pick up time that seems very long, those are for whole pies. If you pick up by the slice through Toast it should be done in 10-15 or heated when you arrive.
Fresh crisp pizza and very friendly staff make Big Mario's a perpetual neighborhood favorite. Whether you need one slice or a dozen pizzas, they can make it happen!
Sweet little dive, and Delicious slice! Tried the potato and and goat cheese, and was pleasantly surprised. Only rating a 4 because I didn't get to go in the back lounge room to check it out.
The environment and atmosphere of really what makes this place worth going to. The pizza was pricey but good but went the overall experience was nice
Closest to a real NYC slice in Seattle. Great place to drink and get some pull tabs. Enjoy!
some of the best pizza in the city. Per-slice is a little more pricy than I prefer, but totally worth it
I love this place. One time last summer there was a bug on one of the 'pizza by the slice' pizzas, which I notified them about. The kids working at that time just shrugged it off and didn't even take the pizza away or do anything about the bug. Aside from that I've never noticed any bugs and I love their pizza and drinks. I usually come in and sit in the bar for a drink and slice of pizza. My fave is plain cheese but back in the day I used to get macaroni and cheese which I haven't seen in awhile so they may not make this anymore. I'll ask right now cuz I'm about to go in for a slice. It's average priced and a small cozy atmosphere with bathrooms in the back. Come check out out!
Great slices! The bar area in the back is fun if you can get a seat.
I’M PRAYING AN OWNER OR MANAGER READS THIS. I’m visiting from New York and is this my second time here. I was in the middle of ordering a couple slices, because I enjoyed the pie I had here the other night. And the staff was great. When I decided I’d rather order a whole pie, someone behind the counter, a guy with dark hair, glasses and a super loud bright voice told me that the price I was paying was ridiculous for a whole pizza from here. That I was being robbed. How tacky. Who is this employee? Why does the owner allow this person to interface with customers? He is taking money out of your pocket. Fire the WHOLE NIGHT STAFF that works on Monday. Save your business. They are losing you money. What an embarrassing tacky nightmare. Another great pie, though.
Best place to grab a New York style slice in Seattle 🍕🍕🍕 …
If you are someone who loves a simple slice of ny style cheese pizza, this is the place to visit in Seattle! After months of searching for good pizza, finally found it! A must try! And once you do, you will go back for more!
So we guys ordered half and half veg pizza but they found difficulty in preparing the one with both white and red sauce.
Had to wait coz multiple orders probably, but they compensated us by upgrading our pizza from 14 to 18 for free.
Overall the staff was helpful in explaining the menu, since we went there for the first time.
Pizza was well cooked and yummy, but olive oil was a bit much. I guess we can ask them to use less oil next time.
If you want to eat New York style pizza without going to New York, this is the closest thing you are going to get.
Primary difference with Big Mario's is the sauce which has some spice (red pepper flakes?), where NY pizza sauce is typically more sweet. As a New Yorker turned Satellite, I miss NY pizza terribly and would prefer it be closer to "the real thing" but this can satisfy the itch without jumping on a plane to the east cost.
Great Pizza!! Can get busy as the front part is small. Still one of the best pizza I have ever had.
Great pizza and drinks walking Fido from the Seattle Center. Super fun funky inside.
Love the little bar in the back. Great place for a beer and a slice or a whole pie! Four of us easily devoured a whole pie over laughs. Bar staff were super friendly and attentive.
great slice for it being a block from my apartment. friendly staff! LOVE the graphic of the 70s italian man in a glam suit on the pizza box haha, really hope it's a picture of big mario himself
Great place to grab a few slices before a game or concert at Climate Pledge Arena.
Amazing New York style pizza. Stopped in for a bite to eat and should have gotten a large! Small sit down area but super cozy and not crowded when we went
Very tasty if you like thin pizza. I had the potato pizza and it was surprisingly tasty for how simple it was. Very thin pizza though. Even though I got a large, could definitely eat at least half of it on my own.
Came to check out Marios. New york style slices. Ordered 2. 1 pep, 1 veges. They went done quick. The light thin crust maybe me order 1 more, sausage n mushroom. Like the crust. Light not heavy on the stomach light an original or pan style would do. I agree with other patrons, pizzas are a bit light on the cheese. Other than that, I enjoyed Mario's.
Just happen to walk past and thought we would stop for a slice. We are so glad we did huge slice for a good price defendantly going back
I really like this pizza. However, if you don't like thin crust pizza don't come here :) girlfriend isn't a fan of the place but I love the sauce and ingredients here. Obligatory ruined photo of 90% eaten food in my pictures.
Great pies, ny crust. Sometimes they aren't fully cut and they're super light on the $3 extra toppings, but still the best pizza in Seattle.
Thin style crust. So good. Love this place
I’m a big fan of Big Mario’s.
Pros:
Some of the better pizza in Seattle
Dog friendly in the bar
$2 tall boys of Olympia all the time
Pleasant bartenders
Reasonable prices on food
Cons:
Literally nothing
It is one of the best pizzeria in Seattle
Light, thin, crispy and tasty pizza by the slice! They had plenty of options including vegetarian. Vegan pies are available as well.
Delicious pizza! And open late so it's a great place to get some food after a night of drinking. They have a bar in the back with great staff!! I have always had a great time when I came here. Small place though, so there has been a time or two when I was unable to sit in the bar area. But they still deserve 5 stars due to the great food, staff and atmosphere!
We got the cheese pizza hoping for a NY pizza experience. It was good pizza but if you are truly looking for an authentic experience you need to get on a plane and head east. However, I would go again to get pizza here.
Pizza was bland. Costco pizza would have been better.
Best pizza I've had in a long time! And I've been eating pizza my whole life! It's my favorite food! Thanks guys!!!
They made us our own pizza just the way we wanted. It was really good too. Huge slices were definitely filling. There's a front seating area that will hold about 20 people comfortably and a bar area. Not sure how many people fit back there because minors aren't allowed and I had my son with me. Overall a good place to eat that's also reasonably priced.
My team and I were in town for 2 months. We've tried pizza from Tacoma to Lynnwood and Big Mario's is the best. It could be the way that the crust is thin, yet strong. Or it could be those legit toppings that aren't crazy. But no... It's that sauce with a slight kick to it. Best Slice in Seattle.
The pizza was great. They made a mistake with our order gave us our money back and we keep the pizza
Good NY style pizza sold by the slice and by the pie. Inside seating is available now and it has a stocked bar and a limited assortment of craft beer. They open at noon and are generally very busy making deliveries.
Tasty NY style pizza with an attached bar. My kid and I were able to sit in the small dining area. Parking is just up the hill in the rresidential area.
Hell yeah! If you haven’t had big Mario’s, stop what you’re doing and get a slice! Late night or just a regular evening, this place never fails to deliver the goods.
I've only utilized their takeout during COVID so I can't speak to service but the pizza is stellar! It's a large serving (one pizza lasted me three meals) so the price is fair for the amount of food. The crust is thin but still bready on the end, which I appreciate. Important to note that their red sauce has a bit of a kick to it for any sensitivities to spice!
First time here after 12 yrs of living here and will definitely be back! The pizza was good but the michelada was on point!!! Better then many authentic Mexican restaurants!
Great pizza with dive bar feel
Good pizza, good people, REALLY neat bar in the back
Best pizza in the area. Large slices and good prices. Plus it’s got a sweet bar, excellent servers, and an all around good atmosphere. Definitely check it out if you want a quick, delicious bite to eat or some tasty libations. There are not a lot of vegan or gluten free options.
Literally my go to night snack restaurant! This place is opened until 2 am and has bomb pizza. It is soooooo good. One of the top pizza slices I've had here. The ambiance is nothing special and don't expect them to clean the tables, but the pizza!! Is!! Amazing!! The back area is dark, so pardon my picture but it's a nice bar area with games if you want to pass the time. The pizza comes out incredibly hot though, so don't eat it right away unless you want to burn your mouth.
Had a great slice of Pizza for a reasonable price. Thank you!
Great pizza here! Super thin crust and just plain delicious. I had the pepperoni.
I did not order pizza, but the lounge in the back is friendly, they have $2 beer specials and they have a spotless restroom.
Great consistent pizza! Love the thin crust
Great food, cranberry vodka and a slice for 10$
One of my favorite spots in Queen Anne. Incredible, fresh, and delicious pizza with a fun dive bar tucked away in the back of the resturant. This place has really nice bar tenders and most nights they'll be playing a classic 80s or 90s VHS tape (saw Roadhouse on the other day). So much character, good drinks, and pizza what's not to love.
Delicious pizza, good drinks and the customer service was amazing. There were 2 young men making the pizzas and working the counter . They were thoughtful, respectful and thankful for our business. We stopped here before going to Kerry park. Best decision ever.
wonderful atmosphere, love the pizza, fun movies, good vibes!!
This is a must! You order your pizza and then go sit at the bar to watch old movies and listen to good music. The pizza is amazing and the drinks are pretty dang good too!
Perfect for late nights they have amazing, NY style thin pizza. Great crust, good beer selection and an awesome bar in the back. Take your slice to go, nosh it fast in one of their open booths or stay for some drinks and laughs.
Being from Jersey...we just love the old neighborhood "divey " bars. Great service and reasonable drinks and the pizza was GREAT!
I only stayed for one drink. Wish I had more of an appetite to try the pizza. Maybe next time.
I liked that they showed old movies on VHS. Kind of a hipster place.
Good thin-crust NY style pizza! Fold it in half and enjoy!
Always a great vibe, great service and good pizza
I'm from Brooklyn read this review . Very close to authentic NY Pizza. Needed a little more sauce. Crust was good. The decor was perfect. Thumbs up for garlic powder on each table!!
Edit 12/2/2018:
The last slices I had here had almost NO cheese. It defeats the purpose of having a product called a "cheese slice".
Authentic NY-style pizza-BIG slices (!) 4.5 stars because of the head-banging background music...sorry. It was nice to be in Seattle at midnight on a week day, and find a place like this open. The guy who was making pizzas the first night that I came, was a nice guy.
Big Mario's is my favorite pizza in Seattle. Hands down. The service is such a toss up sometimes though.
I ordered a whole cheese to-go and was quoted for half an hour. We sat in the bar to wait. Decided to check after 25 minutes and it was ready but it wasn't even warm anymore. It was shocking since we regularly order slices and they deliver to the bar. They didn't even try to call our name or anything. Maybe it was the wrong impression but it's sorely disappointing to check into cold food. Especially if I'm dropping money for a whole pie.
I will recommend ordering slices though. Because their food is still good.
Pizza was worth the 20 minute wait. Was so good! Reminded me of the big slices you get in NYC. Had a few drinks while I waited. Staff were all nice and attentive. Big plus> awesome music on too!
Good New York Style pizza with large slices a little pricy but fresh ingredients and they workers are super friendly and laid back. I like my crust thin and crispy and they get it just right for my liking.
Delicious. Had a slice of the Spicoli pizza, plus the employees went to the extra effort to get me a fountain drink from the bar in the back. Perfect blend of spicy and sweet, with everything freshly prepared. Clean, tidy little hole in the wall with solid pricing.
Marinara is just a bit too spicy for my better half but this is true NY style pizza. You may wish to order extra crispy to get more crunch and if you find the sauce spicy you can always ask to go light on the sauce or switch to olive oil instead. The pineapple is actually fresh, not canned -- a real treat you will not find in New York. Service is excellent as is the beer list.
Maybe it's better to order a fresh pie vs slices. Been there twice now and the slices have a hard to chew aged texture. It's supposed to be the most authentic NYC pizza in Seattle, but I'm not feeling it.
Cool local pizza and chill bar with great late night hours. Big New York slices, around 6 classic flavors available (if buying by slice). Good, fast service. Crispy thin crust.
So I randomly got detoured to this place due to the kitchen being closed at a spot a block down. 100% FIRE! I don't like pineapple on pizza but I dedcided to give it a shot and WOW. Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Being from Chicago it is tough sometimes for places to hold their own. If your from out of town and you need a pizza fix don't hesitate.
love the bar like feel and kids can go in
Someone gave this a low rating for "having almost no cheese." As a new yorker for the last decade, I know how I like my pizza. It should have little cheese, it should be thin, and you need to see the red sauce . The cheese should not mask the toppings. This is the closest I've so far found to a new york slice in Seattle. Not amazing, but it gets the job done. A bit pricey (even more like NYC) but I'll be back over and over for sure. Friendly staff as well.
Big Mario's has had a location up on Capitol Hill for quite awhile now but I have been reluctant to go because of crowds and parking and just a lack of general knowledge of the place altogether.
Enter, Big Mario's location number 2 now in lower Queen Anne.
As an Uber driver, I've brought a lot of people to and from this location and since it is more convenient and the parking isn't a nightmare, I decided to finally give them a try. I mean heck, I have been looking for a good pizza joint that served New York style pizza and my standards for my pizza are really high when compared to the average person. What I mean by that is I won't order from places like Pizza Hut or Dominoes because even though it's pizza, it's horrible and I don't like horrible food.
Pizza is a simple food and because of the simplicity, the elements must be correct. The dough must be made correctly and give you a crunch as well as be chewy. The sauce is a huge component of any pizza and should taste fresh and well seasoned. 100% real cheese is a must and fresh cured meats and sliced veggies are of utter importance as well. Not that this is news to most of you.
One of the alluring aspects of Big Mario's is that they stay open until 2:00am so when I am out driving for a living, it's easy to swing by and grab a slice or two. Working graveyard doesn't give me many opportunities to go in and sit down to eat so I really appreciate places that stay open late.
They have three pizzas that they keep on hand for selling slices. Cheese, pepperoni and their Special Sicilian. You can build your own full size pie but you cannot alter the slices. I did the math and one slice of pepperoni which is roughly the size of 1/4 of a large pizza cost $3.50 so if you were to buy four slices of pepperoni separately, it would cost you $14.00 plus tax. To purchase a whole pepperoni pizza would cost you $18.99 for the basic cheese and an extra $2.50 for the pepperoni so for the same amount of pizza, the total would be $21.49 plus tax. Something fishy to me in that equation but if you have to pay $7.00 for the box, the pizza must be that good.
I enjoy their pizza too. Every time that I've gone in, the pre-made pizza's have sat for a bit and so when they throw them in the oven to warm them back up, they get a little extra crispy. I like my pizza on the well done side but I hope to get in one time when the pie is fresh out of the oven and the crust isn't so well done.
One day I will order a whole pie but until then, the slices are satisfying.
Thanks for reading.
Stopped in before a show for a bite to eat and a beer. We ordered a couple of different slices of which they warmed up for us, while we took a seat at the bar where I order an IPA.
The atmosphere was warm and relaxed.
The service was outstanding, our bartender was super chill taking care of everyone while she lit candles in case they lost power due to the wind outside.
Totally worth checking out if you like quiet divy places.
We were from out of town snd lucky enough to find it. 5 stars to the bartender John. However note the following:
The ladies working the counter on NYE weren’t that nice. Literally rolled their eyes when I told them I didn’t mind waiting an hour for a pie. The reheated pies were burnt. I assume good help is hard to find on NYE or they know someone.
Everything else was cool; great crowd. I tipped John generously but not the rude girls.
Who doesn't love an amazing gooey cheese, crunchy seasoned crust slice of pizza, especially when it's double the average size? Perfect for any day in Seattle! Also great to pick up and take home a whole pizza, your roommates or spouse will love you for real.
Newer location of the Big Mario's chain. The pizza is fantastic, some of the best in Seattle. Drinks and food are reasonably priced as well. This particular location is on a nice little strip of bars in lower Queen Anne. Regular restaurant in the front part of the building and bar in the back. Bar is cozy and dimly lit with several comfortable booths.
Awesome pizza, go there with my friends now and then, and it's always fun and delicious.
Good pizza and overall feeling of the place. Great for grabbing a couple slices or a whole pie. You can have a couple beers out front with friends and family, or there is a bar in the back if that's your vibe - either way, Big Mario's can provide.
A friend took me to get get pizza after a great night of Temple Billiards, we had the sausage and pepperoni pizza, delicious. Just very good. I'd definitely go back there and would recommend it to anyone who loves pizza.
Closest to New York pizza I’ve found in the city so far.
over time I have realized, this is the best pizza place in Seattle hands down. they have amazing pizzas. and so tasty. they have variety too ( maybe not in midst of Coronavirus ) . I absolutely love their slices !!
Big Mario's located at the foot of Queen Anne has great pizza, wonderful staff, and quick service. You can always expect a quality time at this location. Out of the three I know of, this one is my personal favorite, serving up unique topping combinations. Check them out!
Cool vibe. The pizza guy was cool. Small place. Definitely worth checking out. I am from the East coast, this is legit East coast Pizza. It's floppy and you got to fold it in half just to eat it. It's awesome. The pepperoni was legit too
The best pizza I've had
Awesome pizza by the slice available even late and a delicious drink menu.
Always a fantastic experience!
This place is fantastic. Great atmosphere, awesome people working their, good music, great pizza. For real go in for a slice man. Oh and they have a full 🍺 …
Love this place. Will definitely visit again
Love this pizza, thin and so juicy. Staff is usually friendly and attentive. Bar has a neat 70s vibe.
Our experience at this pizzeria wasn't good. Pizza tasted good...once we got the correct pizza. The staff members here are just unpleasant and unkind. Do not plan to return.
Pizza and drinks in lower Queen Anne
Out for a night of drinking and in need of some pizza before bed, then this is the stop. You can get it by the slice or customize a whole pie. The crust is good, comes out fast, and is exactly what you are looking for. They also have beer, wine, and a bar in the back if you need a few more.
great service in the bar. We are from NY and haven't found good pizza in Seattle until we discovered Big Marios. Wood fired thin crust is NOT good pizza , Seattle!
I always start with a cheese or pepperoni when trying a new place. We ordered a full pie. Sauce to crust ratio was perfect, cheese was great and the pepperoni had the perfect amount of spice. The crust was perfect and always my favorite part when it's a good crust (not wood fired flat bread type of crust), nice doughy feel with a crunch on the bottom.
Look forward to trying out thier scicillian pie next!!!
LITERALLY THE BEST PIZZA IN SEATTLE!!! my husband and I thought we had found the best, cool place to get pizza in Seattle(Roccos on 2nd) however, our neighbors challenged us to "their pizza place". The first bite my husband and I took, we both said "Yall win". Its amazing. Its WAYYYY better when you eat it their(vibes and atmosphere) but still good as take away. This is the place we now being visiting friends and family for awesome, chill pizza.
The best pizza in town and a chill atmosphere, but their delivery range is lame. They'll deliver to the other side of Queen Anne but not Belltown even though it's like 5 blocks away. Refusing to cross Denny is a stupid business decision.
I really like their basic cheese pizza. It's become my staple delivery pizza in Seattle. Once we got it delivered cold, but we got our next pizza free and haven't had a problem since. The wait time can be a bit much during peak hours, but it's worth waiting for.
Loved this super quaint TOTAL dive. Went for the wine.
The slices we're huge. I had a squash pizza that was delicious. My husband had traditional pepperoni which was also good. There is a full bar in back, so adult beverages are available. I had a glass of wine.
The service is great. They tell you when you look at menu the wait time. Once you order they start to make in front of your eyes. They also have a bar in the back of you want a drink while you wait on your food to cook.
Oh they do sell by the slice to if you are just wanting on the go food. They are around $3.75 per slice.
Had the White Hook (vegetarian). Called ahead on NYE and they were ready for us in exactly 30 minutes. Staff was nice and the pizza was excellent (and worth the $$).
Great neighborhood pizza hang out..They have a huge variety, booze too. The locals love coming eating and staying for hours.. Pizza take out is huge too.
Didn't give 5* not organic
Great dive bar space. Pizza was average but good
It's a great little bar! Delicious thin crust pizza. Really great staff. I love to hang out here when I'm in the area.
Pizza was decent, average wait times, nothing too special but still a good place for a bite.
Who ever their pepperoni guy is, they need to fiercely guard them. Top notch, new York style pepperoni pizza, generous slice size, and great tasting sauce.
The pizza was decent, the service not so much. The door is left open because the cook can get too hot from the pizza ovens but it makes the small dining area so cold the customers are left shivering.
Dive bar feel in a relatively nice area. Great pizza and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Pear Gargonzolla .
Fantastic neighborhood bar with great pizza!
Very solid pizza for Seattle. Much better then most pizze places and reminds me of normal pizza on the east coast. Not amazing but nostalgic to anyone who is a NJ or NY transplant.
Damn good! Arguably the best pizza in Seattle.
Ordered a pizza to go and it quickly was made and I was so good. I didn't know it was in the area but now I will definitely be coming back.
Pretty good NY style pizza. Make sure they reheat the slices long enough when you order. When the slices are not fresh, they can taste a bit chewy.
Excellent pizza, Great neighborhood place.. I get a ton of orders to go from there... Ive tried it myself and loved it! unsure if they are non gmo and organic, If they are I would give 5*
By the slice, served up by a 70s disco mascot.
This was the first pizza joint I checked out after moving to the greater Seattle area--
Full bar in the back, gives off a very dive-esque city bar feel and amazing pies. Check this place out, folks!
Big slices that are NY style- toppings were minimal. Not a lot of options nearby that are open late but it was still convient to grab pizza at 12am- friendly service.
We came from California and we loved it . They have a low key bar in the back playing some great tunes . Great vibes ! The pizza was soooo good too . Thank you guys seriously lol good stuff .
Delicious pizza. I could have done without having CNN on TV and the constant Trump bashing. I almost thought about asking them to change the channel. Other then that I would reccomend this location to anyone
Good food, good service. Only have the premade pizzas available, but as a basic pepperoni fan this wasnt an issue. Cute little joint overall id say
Not a fan of their pizza. I enjoy the bar in the back at the Lower Queen Anne location.
Delicious pizza! Big slices Medium to thin crust Style pizza, nice and crispy on the bottom 😊 tasty unique combinations. …
Awesome place just what we were looking for to try before we headed out of the US. Great size and tasting pizza. Price was good value too.
laid back pizza place where we could buy pizza by the slice for a great price!
Best PIZZA in the whole universe! Wish they would open up in Columbia City, Across from Pag and next door from Tuta, Big M would be the KING!!!!
Little store front with bar in back area. Really quaint, awesome pizza. Great lunch spot too. ( if you can say no to the boozy eggnog on tap :)
best pizza in town!
I really like this Big Mario's (and the one in Capital Hill too). Chill vibe in the front and the pizzas so good! And the bar area in the back is real chill too. They got some board games you can play
Came here one Monday night and received excellent service from the bartender. She was great to have around for a first date. Thanks Shea!
Good pizza, one of the better spots in Seattle. Decent crust, good toppings. I can also appreciate the old school country music that was playing when I visited
This place is so amazing when I first tried it I had to go back again the same day. Legit NY style pizza and great beer selection too.
Nice simple east coast type pizza joint. Well, maybe slightly fancier than that but still it's a simple pizza slice place with good pizza. I've never had to wait long either.
Great, reasonably priced NY style pizza served with $2 beer on red checkered table cloths... If this is what you're after (and why wouldn't it be?) Big Mario's is your place.
Best NY style pizza on the west coast (and I'm a Bostonian, so you know I'm telling the truth to admit that). Grazie, Mario!
One of the best - if not the best - East Coast-style pizza places in the PacNW. The cheese pizza has a great crust and gooey cheese.
Super yummy NY style pizza and always friendly staff but tends to be overly warm in the summer. They really need some good air conditioning!
Pizza was delicious seating area was small. But the atmosphere was awesome. Loved it it will be returning very soon
Just never gets a bad pizza from them love it always, 💕
Great neighborhood pizza joint with surprise dive bar in the back. Good thin crust old style pizza and perfect cheap table wine.
Best pizza in Seattle 🤌🏼 …
Great place to stop a get a good slice of pizza. Staff is very kind and helpful. Love stopping in on my lunch break.
It is a great option for NY-style pizza in Seattle (close to downtown but with better parking options). Est. 1967. Highly recommend.
The Mediterranean pizza was delicious!
These great humans made me a 1/2 kids (mac n cheese), and 1/2 adult (w/ jalapenos) pizza. Everybody was happy. Thanks Big Mario's.
Service was awesome. People were extremely nice, and the pizza was great. Even enjoyed the TAB soda that i haven't seen in years.
Top notch pizza at a reasonable price. I stopped here on a whim as I was walking by and I am glad I did. Large slices. I will come again.
Cool place! These employees are pretty personable so I like that. Pizza is good, big house salad is good, and $1 hamms beers.
What a cool place to grab a slice late at night in a calm but fun neighborhood! Great pizza!
Pizza ranges from ok to excellent, depending on the staff. Same for the bar service. I love the bar vibe and VHS movies.
love it!!!! The right amount of salty and sourness!!
Delicious. Big slices packed with flavour and crusty, thin bottom. Great taste and cosy, little American Diner style eating area.
One of my top three favorite pizza spots and the only one of the three that is opened late.
Amazing New York Style Pizza - very friendly staff; food takes a while to cook, but if it's in the case and ready, it can be fast!
My favorite pizza in Seattle and has a great bar in the back. So much style. Oh, let's go there now!
Overall a great place with good vibes. 4 stars because on my pepperoni pizza there were only five pieces of pepperoni.🍕 …
Decent New York Style thin pizza. Got a crunch to it, but not dry. A bit pricey for what you get.
Nice pizza a little pricey when you order the whole pie, house wine pairs very well I wonder which one is it
Awesome cheese slice for 3$! And there is kinda secret bar on the back of the pizzeria with nice cocktails (starting 8$) and beer on tap
Great NY Style pizza with a cozy bar in the back, sometime they have killer prices on drinks. Ask about their specials.
Solid pizza. Easily some of the best is Seattle. I spent a good amount of time living in NYC, so I'm a bit jaded but this is great!
Cleary the best pizza in WA, by all means. Make sure you ask for it well done and crispy.
This place is the best. Great drinks, delicious pizza, and the most friendly staff. These guys rock
The pizza is delicious! They also serve Seattle Soda Co!
Good pizza, $2 tall boy beer, nice chill atmosphere, and fast friendly service.
Great pizza, beer, and people. I love the layout with the bar in the upper section, and restaurant in the lower area.
Pizza was decent but service was great. Felt like they went a bit light on some of the toppings.
Friendly staff, delicious pizza. Can't go wrong if you're looking for NY Style.
Very nice staff and kinda cool little neighborhood setting pizza/bar
Good neighborhood pizza. Get high, get a slice and surf around Seattle
Slices are huge, which is great. Good vibe in the place, too. Pretty good pizza overall!
The Best and most authentic New York (thin and crisp)slices, generous size and value, better quality and attitude than the Capitol Hill location,
Always a stop when in Seattle, great slices and decent prices
Always love this place. Staff is chill, the pizza tasty and decent price and drinks are what they should be. ✌️
Great pizza, good vibes! Will be returning soon!
Good pizza at great prices, the bar is cost and relaxing, staff is nice and welcoming.
Complete dive. They know it and strived for it. Unexpectedly really tasty thin crust pizza cut into NYC style slices. Crispy crust.
The pizza is always good, never disappoints. There are a couple locations, the lower Queen Anne location is my favorite.
This place is food for a quick stop for lunch, pizza was great. Very relaxed service, and theme.
Friendly service and solid New York style pizza. I will definitely go back.
The back bar feels like it's nearly identical to the big Mario's in capitol hill. Great pizza, great vibes.
Big Mario’s never disappoints. Best nyc style pizza in the PNW
Small pizza shop and neighborhood bar. Prices were reasonable, food hot and tasty. Employees were friendly
Good late night pizza bar, the back bar is a hiden gem with pull tabs. Great last stop to any Queen Anne bender
Amazing pizza and service.
One of my favorite places for pizza in Seattle! Their pepperoni pizza is thin, crispy and super salty.
Excellent NYC pizza. I grew up in NJ and although this is a tad on the thin side, it was very good
Fantastic pizza at a good price. Full bar in back
Great mix of family friendly front end, dark divey bar in back, and good, greasy NY style pizza.
Little spot right next to a coffee shop. Pizza was good. No gimmicks just a huge slice.
Great dive bar feel atmosphere is on point and if you're cool with small spaces you gotta go!
'How would I rate Big Mario's Pizza'. What a question Google...Surely there's only one option here. Five stars every time.
This place is busy! I get a ton of order requests from customers so, I tried a slice of their Wednesday pizza.. it was fantastic!!
The staff was great and the pizza was awesome!
Good vibe amazing pizza and there is a bar in the back what more to ask for
Great time and awesome pizza
The people there always are courteous and prompt and always with a smile. Great pizza!
I love the QA Mario’s location. Really nice back bar with friendly faces and you can’t be that slice of pie!
Great comfortable bar that has a great selection of games and entertainment. Funniest thing is the Rainier on tap sign, but the place doesn't have it on tap!
Slice selections were a bit sparse (people and cheese) but it was a slow night, so I get it. Tasty as always though!!
Surprised by how good the pepperoni slice was. They got the crust right!! Delish!
The pizza is Seattle's Best. The QA speakeasy back bar is where's it's at! Chronic!
Nice place ok food and drinks
The person working here was really weird, she made the experience from a 5 star place, to a 4. Besides her, the food was really good, and I had a good time.
Good service, OK pizza. All day Sunday is happy hour.
Pizza on par with Joes pizza new york
Old fashioned pizza joint, slice pizza available. Classic varieties as well as newer ingredient options

Great pizza, service late at night leaves a little to be desired
Best NY's style pizza in Seattle.
Tasty New York-style slices. The taco Tuesday pizza is worth waiting for!
A bit pricey but nice pizza!
Good pizza, good beer, interesting atmosphere. They have pulls tabs!
Not as cool as other locations I have been but the pie was still great!
Delicious local place to grab a slice!
I haven't eaten the pie here, but the back bar is nice.
Great pepperoni pizza served with a classy side of snark. 10/10
Good pizza for takeout. Super authentic new York style
Currently, the only place get pizza in Lower Queen Anne.
Way better than the bad bar next door
Great sliced Pizza; tastes just like in NYC.
Pizza is killer. They obviously know what they're doing. Staff is megadank and superbabely. Check them out twice.
