Reviews of Ballard Pizza Company
As someone who isn't the biggest fan of the trend toward "artisan" pizzas, with toppings like arugula and figs and honey, I will say, I really liked Ballard Pizza Company! Though it is totally possible that I only got the flavors that I liked (lots of meat), but it was delicious. I would totally come back here (and order only the meat pizzas). In fact, writing this at 11pm makes me wish they were open and I could grab a slice right now...
This restaurant serves amazing pizza and provides very good customer service. The entire pizza was very flavorful to include the crust, and the cloves were enormous. Ballard Pizza Company is a great choice, if you are in the mood for pizza.
I'm one of the very few people that call in an order lol but they always take the time to take my order. Warning tho, this place does take a while to deliver a pizza so be prepared to wait. It's worth the wait 🤤, I've had them deliver to the Waterwheel lounge no problem.
Carbonara pizza is my favorite. Love the eggs and garlic on it. Service was fast even with our big group.
Amazing pizza! We had both the Evergreen and the Whole Hog and they were both delicious! 2 18" pizzas were perfect for our group of 5 hungry adults, we had a few slices left over to take home
Incredible pizza cooked to order, excellent crust Tasty sauce NY slice , cant say enough good things. Also we arrived Saturday night at 9 they closed at 10, they were super classy in service and then letting us know at 9:50 they would be closing. So nice and appreciated!!! Great pizza great service, my favorite!!
Cesar salad was great! The wings were pretty good too. The pizza wasn't bad it just had a bit of sweetness I could get behind but it might work for others. Really nice staff too!
If you are looking for a restaurant that both delivers in customer service and creativity, Ballard Pizza Company is the place. Nestled on an amazing street full of food and life, this restaurant invites you in with its amazing atmosphere, steller music selection and, of course, out of this world food. The great thing about this place too, is it sells some of their pizza by the slice, so if you're super busy, or, if you just want to sample first... Go for the slices. They also have a great wine selection to, ya know, feel super fancy (feeling extra fancy? Pop that pinky up while drinking... Trust me?) all in all, it's a great restaurant... With great food and humongous portions. Trust me... I'm Samoan. I live for the portions. It's big even with by my standards.
Really good simple pizza with awesome decor, red bricks exposed with industrial metal and wood blend. The oven is right there and the service is fast. Pizza is simple and quick and that is how it should remain. Awesome NY pizza style, thin and a slight crunch to the bread. Sauce is thin with good cheese coverage. It is a tad, okay a smuched greasy, but hey it’s pizza. $3 Slices to go was perfecto.
The pizza was decent but not “$92 for two large pizzas” decent. Plenty of other options with more bang for your buck nearby.
The pizza is great and I love the portions of the big slices. Only downside I'd say is that I don't think it's really worth the high price. We spent $80 for two pizzas which I thought was insane considering how a little generic it was in taste. I will say, I LOVED their crust! It was chewy and had a good taste. I think this would be a good splurge pizza to try out once but you can find pizza at a better price elsewhere.
Pizza slices that are comparable to any pizza parlors that you’ll find in NYC. I should know since I grew up and lived in NYC for the past 45 years. I appreciate that the tail end of the crust wasn’t too big meaning more cheese and sauce extending to the edge. My only mistake was dining in on a day that was 85F outside. No AC plus heat from a pizza oven takes away from an enjoyable indoor dining experience.
So it's Friday afternoon. Spur of the moment you decide to eat Downtown Ballard. Forget about restaurants! No reservation! But there, tucked away, is an oasis. Great food and beverages! Large tables, so no worries about waiting. We've noted its presence!
Pretty solid thin crust pizza, quite generous with toppings and nice crispy crust! Just a little bit expensive but overall a solid experience!
Excellent Pizza and a great environment.
Huge pizzas with lots of toppings. Clean. Friendly service. Would definitely visit again.
Really really solid pie. No frills. Just honest pie. Had a half meatball and half whole hog pizza. Very light. Big flavor. Beautiful acid on the sauce. Loved it. The Parma was great too. Good beer too in a very unassuming atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Pizza was great! The wings were amazing!! A little pricey but I’m okay with paying for quality! Loved the open garage door.
After living all over Washington State for 9 years, Ballard Pizza Co. is by far the best pizzeria I have had the privilege of visiting. If I had to make a "negative" remark, it would be that I am not a fan of thin pizzas. Could do with thicker slices with denser toppings. Other than that small suggestion, amazing pizza, amazing people, and amazing atmosphere.
Great pizza!! Flavor addiction at its best. I will crave the whole hog forever. It was quick, not expensive and they texted me when it was done. Awesome! Great experience 👍 thank you
Very Friendly staff. Excellent pizza (always). Clean, family friendly and adult environment. A frequent and enjoyable outing of ours..!
Really great location! Love that we could order pizza by the slice. Great tasting pizza too. Highly recommend
A hidden 💎 plus really good pizza and beer. …
Best pizza in Seattle although the Italian people didn't make it out this far West. I'm from Long Island, this is great pizza. Every bite is eye closing and a little bit of a moan.
Great place!! I loved the ambiance, friendly and easygoing staff, and amazing pizza! We ordered a half-and-half pizza, and I'd definitely recommend trying out the one with eggs on it. Absolutely DELISH
The music is very fun and uplifting!
The pizza is amazing esp the crust
The service was quick and fast!
Some of the best pizzas in Seattle. 18" is perfect for 4 people.
One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and reasonably priced! Dough is perfect consistency!
Our favorite pizza spot in the area. Service is always great, and the pizza is so much better than the local chains. The Caesar salad is wonderful as well, but if youre an anchovy enthusiast like me, make sure you specify that you'd like them. Think Michelangelo from ninja turtles, but the opposite.
Great pizza in Ballard! Inventive pizzas plus some standards. The crust is medium thick and chewy with great flavor. It's not fast, but definitely worth the time, so plan ahead--you cannot drop in for a slice, you have to order full pies since COVID. The quality of the ingredients is superior, so expect to pay for that. You want cheap pizza? Not at Ballard Pizza Company. Delicious and flavorful and definitely my favorite pizza joint for classic pizza (not wood fired).
We tried this pizza at the stand in T-Mobile park during a Mariner game. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had! The crust is so good and great quality toppings. We will definitely be checking out the restaurant soon.
This is our go-to pizza delivery place but I’m starting to wonder why. I’d say about 80% of the time, they mess up the order. Most recently, we ordered half margherita and half mushroom, olive and red onion. They put mushroom on the entire pizza. Not a huge deal, but my friend doesn’t like mushroom so had to pick it off the margherita side. The worst was when one of our pizzas had some sort of plastic casing or wrapping chopped up into small pieces and distributed like toppings. They’ve forgotten toppings entirely. I’ve ordered pineapple a few times and actually LOL’d because there was literally two small pieces of pineapple on the entire pizza. I always order through DoorDash and have probably gotten hundreds of dollars of free pizza from them at this point because anytime there’s a problem, I message DoorDash and they credit my account. When they get it right, the pizza tastes very good but I think we are finally sick of the errors and will try to find a better NY style pizza place. It’s also super expensive.
I brought a large group of about 18 people to this venue without making reservation. I just totally forgot! The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We basically had the back room to ourselves which felt like a private party. The pizzas and drinks were also great too.
Look- the pizza is delicious but if you are ordering delivery, keep your expectations low. I *consistently* have screw ups on delivery orders. Anything added after bake is often missed in delivery. Yesterday I ordered a Margherita pizza (very basic: tomato, cheese, basil). Paid a $7 delivery fee AND a 20% tip. I got a cheese pizza. Multiple times, I have ordered the Parma pizza, which is supposed to be topped with arugula after bake. I have ordered this pizza no less than 5 times and had it delivered without arugula. To the credit of the BPC, every time I have called they offered to send someone over with arugula. Seems like a waste of time, so I decline the offer. Perhaps best experienced in person, cannot recommend delivery at this price point.
A lot of places claim to have New York style pizza, this place actually does. Just finished a medium plain cheese pizza and they *nailed* it. Go here.
Thankfully we didn't have to wait but it seems sometimes the wait is long. The pizza was a bit pricey but it was do good!!!!! We shared a pie between 4 of us and they let us order half and half. My friend doesn't eat pork and they were great about making sure none touched her half of the pizza. I was impressed with the taste and quality! Would definitely go back and recommend this place to others!! Good luck with parking though! Hope to stop by for a slice sometime again!
This is probably my favorite place to go for pizza right now. They have great combinations to choose from. I really like the one with eggs, but all the pizzas are yummy. The crust is the right combination of crunch and chew. The sauce is not too sweet and delivered in the perfect ratio to the other toppings. It's really just so good! It's also a nice setting to eat in.
First time to visit on a Wed. at 7:30
PM. Place was packed, no seating (good problem, business us good👍🏻). I ordered my slices to go. The Pizza flavors were excellent. I appreciated that the pizza had a light tomatoes sauce without the over saturation of oregano. Parking was a challenge in that area, so plan a few extra minutes for parking. Interior setting and open kitchen was very cool, lots of wood with the kitchens industrial ovens. I was amazed at how many employees this place had working while I visited. I’m assuming the business has a heavy delivery business. They make great pizza and the staff, as busy as they were, were quite friendly, helpful and smiling. I’ll be back with friends in tow to appreciate my new discovery. 🍕
Awesome pizza. Simply great quality every time I go. They really know what they are doing from a crust, sauce, and cheese perspective. The crust is thin an crispy and just black enough you will sweat you are in Italy. Some of the best pizza on the west coast in my humble opinion.
Hearing great things about the pizza, but not the service or prices...I'll let you know in a couple of weeks when I try it.
Great pizzas, salads and beers for a reasonable price. Sometimes it can take 30 minutes or so if you're there during busy hours, but the pizza is always worth the wait. For a better change at getting a quick bite order by the slice instead of a build your own pie.
Delicious pizza. Would have received 5/5 but the wait was very long and it took quite a bit of time to get our dinner. Ultimately though the beer was good and the pizza was great. Would recommend the prosciutto pizza. Great spot if you’re in Ballard
Edit: went in today and they totally revamped their in restaurant service. Nice work!
Original post: The pizza is awesome, beer too, but they can sometimes just completely blow the in-restaurant experience. We've had our food there in 5 min, and sometimes we haven't even gotten our food. So, I hate to not give them 5 stars, but it was a rough night to be a customer tonight, and it wasn't the first time it was tough.
I was not impressed. I went here the day before the Seattle Marathon, hoping for a hefty pizza. The crust was overcooked (the bottom was black), which made the entire pizza stiff. Flavor was okay but nothing special. The server was nice and patient. In a pinch, yes maybe this works, but there are better places.
I am from New York, where we have some quality pizza. This place is not it.
Sometimes I have dreams about this pizza. It's just constantly a well made pizza, there really isn't a better pie in the area.
Great pizza by the slice, good salad, and a nice selection of local beers. Usually pretty busy, but it was nearly empty and very friendly during the snowy Superbowl. I don't think they have vegan cheese.
If you have a craving for NY style pizza, this is the place to go. The crust is crispy, the toppings are original, and the slices are big. The moment you walk to the door, you can smell the pizza from outside and the scent already reminded me of NY, which was a good sign. Inside, it's somewhat dimly lit and you can watch them prepare the dough and bake pizzas in the oven. My friends and I tried four different toppings split between two different sized pizzas. They put two toppings on each half with no problem. The pizzas themselves were delicious. If I lived closer to this area, I would stop by more often.
Ethan you've done it again. You've taken something simple and found a way to make it delicious! Couple friends and I came across this place looking for a new spot to eat some pizza and drink so beer and boy were we glad we did!
The atmosphere had a rustic warm feel yet modern feel. I love the quaint home town feel. Barn yard style lighting just made it feel welcoming. I love the sounds of people chattering and pizza being made in the background. Service was awesome! I can't remember her name but she was very personable and took her time out to joke around with us too which is always nice.
The pizza - I'd say top 5 I've ever had. Clean hand tossed pizza - fresh ingredients. Not dripping with grease. Perfect crispy texture with just the right amount of chewy to the bread. We had the "Staple and Fancy" which consisted of pepperoni and pineapple and jalapenos. Each slice had each ingredient meticulously set to ensure every slice had the same amount of toppings, creating the perfect balance of flavor in every bite.
Guilty pleasures of eating too much pizza is a problem I enjoy having! I'll be back for more sooner than later!!!
If you're looking for a value pizza, can't be beat. You're getting a pretty good slice of pizza for a really good price.
That said, if I'm rating this purely on quality of pizza, I'd say this is slightly above average for a pizza place. Everything was good, but no aspect of the pizza blew me away.
So close to being the best pizza I've found in Seattle. Crust on both pizzas was slightly too thick and came out undercooked. As it cooled it got very chewy. Everything else tasted perfect and I really wanted to enjoy it
Good to have a decent place that sells pizza by slices. Came here before Tractor Tavern with few friends to grab a bite. Pleasantly surprised to see such friendly vibe in the city. A bit crowded but were able to grab a table. Big Moses!!! :)
I loved this pizza spot! It was the perfect balance of casual but put together atmosphere. The pizza was delicious and they have a great happy hour. I got the Carbonara and couldn't have been happier. Our server was really nice and I think this would be a great spot for a first date.
really good pizza, the pizza crust has a great structural integrity and the sauce is well seasoned. had the Parma and it was so good!
Fantastic and caring staff, wonderful customer service and great pizza. This unique restaurant fits right in on the Ballard streets and is a gorgeous setting to enjoy a great priced, hot, yummy pizza. The employees were kind, and offered running advice to us tourists. When they missed the basil request on our pizza, they made up for it with a delicious cheesecake and sincere apologies. Check them out!
Immediately impressed when walking in, lighting was great people were friendly and happy, and the main dinning area had a welcoming and clean "feeling". Very impressed when I realized it was not a thin veneer, that the staff seemed genuine in their desire to provide great service. When the pizzas arrived, I knew I had made an excellent choice. Could not think of a better place/circumstance to introduce my "friend" to my parents. Thanks B.P.C.!
Pizza was pretty good but nothing too special. On the plus side, the ingredients were high quality and tasted fresh, on the negative side the dough was just plain, lacking flavor (a little garlic butter on it would go a long way). Staff was super friendly and helpful!
Fun place, good pizza. They have a great happy hour that is a huge slice of pizza with a tallboy or a soda. If you're getting a whole pizza I suggest the Parma. The salads are also amazing and huge. 4 stars because outside of happy hour, it's kinda pricey
I feel like Ballard Pizza Company is the fine line between authentic neapolitan pizza and what we expect from our local places (Zeeks, etc). Absolutely delicious with some creative options as well. This place is definitely in our top 3 of go-to pizza places!
Ordered online, they called to ask if they could bring it earlier than what the website said. Under promise over perform at its finest. Couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Better yet, the pizza is fantastic Brooklyn style pizza. This is the best NYC style pizza I've found in Seattle.
My family loves this place. Parking is always in short supply and the restaurant is filling up earlier and earlier (was a short wait at 5pm). Kids love the dough ball you can ask for, beers are local, pizza toppings are generous, procuitto is delicious, pizza is quick by the slice or as you like it takes a bit longer.
Pizza is tasty, and is available by the slice or whole pie. It's a little more fast-casual than I expected (good for swinging by after a show at the Tractor). But there are bigger tables in back if you have a group.
I rented out the back room for a surprise party and everything was perfect. The appetizers, salads and pizza were all a hit with our group. There was a great option for everyone. Our server was super friendly and worked the large group well. I would highly recommend!
Fantastic pizza! You can order by the slice or get a whole pie the way you want it. Prices were reasonable and all the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. During busy times expect a wait, you can sign in on the chalkboard near the entrance and see your progress as people are seated. Would visit again!
I went in during a very busy and high energy day and was greeted by a friendly staff. Although service was a bit slower than normal (to be expected) they were able to serve a completely full house and keep the to-go orders line down. Two-thumbs up from me. The pizza was great-half veggie and half carbonara. The beer was cold.
It's a good place if you're craving pizza after a night of bar hopping around the area. It's not the most amazing but it'll satisfy that craving. Towards the late night, they stop making custom pies and whole pizzas and people just have to settle for the slices they have available. The pepperoni, jalepeno pizza has a good kick and all of the slices are served huge and hot.
Really great toppings and an awesome crust. Try the Troll and carbonara pizzas.
It's been over a year since we've been out to BPC because of Covid and we live too far for pick up. Nice weather and hungry tummies found our way back! We ordered the Ballard Bridge with 2 extra toppings and I am sad to say that the pie was still empty :( It was mainly pepperoni and cheese. I don't remember the crust being so very super thin. 18 inch, we left unsatisfied and hungry. The firepit is still nice to sit by early evening, the young ladies who were working were quite hospitable, so.... maybe this was just one of those days. 4 stars for now because my tummy wanted to come back.
The pizza is not always good and never great. If you go here in the early afternoon, they'll sell you pizza left over from the day before.
Dominos is better. Really. I mean Dominos is decent these days and its always freshly made. Still, Ethan Stowell should do better.
But I keep going here because nobody else in Ballard sells pizza by the slice. Also, their salads are good and the beer selection is always on point.
Couldn’t fault it. Very good pizzas served up very quickly by welcoming and attentive staff. Serves whole pizzas or also by the slice.
Perfect as somewhere to grab a bite before a show at the tractor tavern just up the road.
My favorite pizza in town. Great people there too. Super kind. That said, they do that Seattle thing quite often where they play the music entirely too loud. Often it's a little abusive music too. I don't get it. I've sworn it off a few times but the great people and pizza keep me coming back!
Pros:
* Open late
* Friendly staff
* Spacious area to sit
* Good value per price
Cons:
* Pizza isn't great
I really wanted to rate this higher. Giving it three stars causes a slight pang of distress. I did list four positive statements and only one negative one. So how can I justify three stars? Well, sadly the one negative is a critical one.
The pizza is edible, but just not delicious. If you're in Ballard, and hungry late on a weekday night, you may run into me here. I'll be the guy hoping the employees don't read Google reviews and take them personally.
If you like thin crust, you'll love the pizzas here! Try adding an egg to your pizza and you'll be pleasantly surprised. For dessert, they also have really good homemade rice krispies treats!
Love eating here. The pizza is always fantastic and the service is great. If you're ever looking for a great pizza but like to be surprised, get the Moses, it's never failed to impress me!
Awesome pizza. Ingredients tasted super fresh! FYI: They have three tents for sitting out side, and they're first come first serve right now.
This place is great. You can get pitchers of beer or wine by the glass whole you wait. Pizza is great, lots of options (including a Chef's choice) . Staffis always super friendly and helpful. One of my favorite Za spots in Seattle!
Love this place, family friendly, great for a quick bite as they sell by the slice or for a whole pie. My daughter loves to watch the pizza makers, visible from any table, they give kids pizza dough and toys to play with, staff/service is the BEST.
Best pizza in Seattle. Their staple & fancy is to die for, and if you aren't a person who enjoys pineapple on your pizza, well, I've got nothing to say to you, except that they have many other nearly as delightful options without pineapple.
And if you gotta pretend to be healthy, well, their caesar salad is the best I've had, and--I won't tell if you don't--it's probably not that good for you, based on how tasty it is.
Staff is always attentive and friendly. They are constantly busy, so if you are craving pizza on a Friday night, call early and place your order, 'cause it's gonna be a while. It tends to be noisy but in an exciting and comforting kind of way.
My only wish is that they'd offer breadsticks. Then I'd die and go to heaven where Ballard Pizza Co reigns supreme. (Hey, chefs, if you're reading this, maybe get in on some of that breadstick love Macrina Bakery is giving Pagliacci's, because those breadsticks are where it's at).
Great fat pizza, get their sausage Salume and all the ingredients are top notch. Space is limited, but you can always grab a cheap huge slice to go. Love the chop salad too, BTW. Oh, and they have my new favorite beer. Mongoose Super Goose, if you like IPA, its fabu. Not rating service as I'm going to leave that up to you for pizza you order at the register...
Do not get the Moses without checking whats in it. You'll be really surprised.
Pretty good! Very busy and backed up for full pizzas so we got slices and some drinks. The pepperoni/pineapple/jalapeno or roasted garlic white pizza where definitely the best.
I had been to this place for a painting event organized by corks and canvas seattle. Nice lively place. Tried some sweet-ish cider. I wouldn't recommend the cider here, but they did seem to have other better options. I will go back to this place to try some pizza. Looks good.
Arugula salad. Pizza for days. Cute interior. Table wine. I come here to eat dinner and study. It’s a great place to spread out on a table and play some cards with friends. Love the style of ordering and the big open garage doors.
Pizza is a good along with atmosphere. Service wasn't great.
Great dishes in order of best first:
1. Spinach Garlic (has whole cloves of garlic)
2. Whole Hog
3. Margerita
Best pizza in Seattle, everything is decently priced, and the service is always excellent. I've been there wayyy too many times.
The folks who rate this below 3 stars are just trying to drive the score down so you won't go. Because, let me tell you, the one big draw back about this place is scarce seating.
Pretty good. Never tried authentic new york pizza made by full blooded italians so cant say if its true new york style pies but it definitely taste different and better then other pie shops in the city.
The pizza here is delicious! Was brought here by a group of friends and loved it. The appetizers, pizza, and beer selection were fantastic. I really enjoyed the rustic vibe of the restaurant and look forward to going back.
Our first experience with BPC was pretty darn stellar, and we'll definitely order a delivery pie again. The server told us it would be a full hour to have it delivered (they do a small area of Ballard but luckily we're in it) but we expected as much on a Friday night.
The pie arrived right on the hour and was very, very good. The crust was a dream, chewy but not overly thick, well cooked dough that has it's own distinct flavor, perfectly sauced with a tangy marinara, covered with artichoke hearts and salty kalamatas.
It was giant, eight big fold-able slices, enough for dinner and lunch the next day. The beau and I couldn't stop ooh-ing and aah-ing over the flavors, which made for lots of talking with our mouths full, smiling all the time.
There seems to be minimal seating but it's definitely meant to be takeaway, so if you do it that way you won't be disappointed.
Excellent happy hour from 10 to 11pm. $1 slice with beverage purchase.
Still my favorite spot for a slice. Been going here for over 5 years, their food is incredible. The ambiance is good, love it when they open the garage door. A few small booths and a few large communal tables.
It's good, kinda pricey but good. Worked in a Pizzeria for 5 years in the past, the quality is definitely better then most in Seattle. Probably 2nd best Pizza place in Seattle IMO, so far that is.
The pizza is delicious whether you are getting it delivered or eating at the restaurant. Delivery does take an hour or more so just be prepared for that. It's also a great place to go and get a slice of pizza and a beer.
Delicious pizza, sold both by the slice and by the pie. Their constant slices are delicious, and their specials are good as well. Relatively thin crust; I eat from here whenever I'm in the neighborhood and craving pizza.
The cashier was very friendly. Customer service is just as important as the quality of food and it is evident that Ballard pizza company understands this. I will definitely return.
Great pizza, great staff!
Hard to beat pizza happy hour. $1 slices with every pint from 4pm to 6pm. Creative pizzas, too. Peach and feta is better than you might think.
Great late night slices! Ethan Stowell's first pizza restaurant in Seattle showcases his love of food in a casual setting. Also features nice tap beers and wine.
This is a kid friendly place, a date friendly place, a 10:30PM munchie friendly place, or an anytime snack sort of place.
They always have about six to eight pies showcased for big New York style slices. They'll also do full pizzas to order.
Order at the register and grab your seat!
...note that, for larger parties looking for a similar menu, their sister restaurant Frëlard Pizza east of here is just as good.
Food was delicious & staff was very friendly. When we got there, one of the girls working came over & gave my 2 year old son a small ball of dough to play with. Small gesture, but it worked incredibly well on keeping him entertained & it was much appreciated.
Great place in Ballard for pizza! They have slices to go or whole pizzas. The service is friendly and the kitchen is open. It's fun to watch the cooks throw the dough.
Delicious 🍕, I especially loved the crust they make. Looking forward to our next visit! 👍👍 …
Just ok is the best way to put it. The pizza is not bad but nothing memorable. If often find it too crispy and the sauce and cheese are bland. The place is clean and get decent service from friendly staff.
The pizza was great and the staff was friendly!
Great pizza options. Not a lot of seating so we got ours to go and made our way to a different bar to eat it. I would definitely eat their pizza again.
checked this place out on Saturday for the first time for a take out. 1) take outs are given to you on a paper plate covered with aluminium foil (really? and on a rainy day?), 2) the taste is average at most (I did notice the place was almost empty but wanted to try anyway), 3) the employees on the other hand were very friendly and welcoming.
We used to love this place but I feel like the service and the food have both gone down a notch (or two). It's still a decent pizza joint but not as high quality as it was previously. I'd recommend Queen Margherita in Magnolia or Via Tribunali on Queen Anne instead.
I got anchovies. Deal with it.
This place was very good! We had a late night snack here! The only criticism I would have is less arugula on the Parma. It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s a waste. You have to remove a lot of it to be able to see the pizza. Other than that the taste was great!!! Grazie, Buon appetito!
BEST PIZZA in Seattle! Please try their BIG MOSES, the chosen one they call it. It is a pleasant surprise just make sure you tell the waiter if you have any allergies.
They have delicious pizza for dine in and take out. I really like how the dough tastes.
Best pizza in Seattle I tried so far! Got half Funghi half Veggie Bomb and both were exceptional! Especially coupled with Tangerine Hef from Peddler Brewing...
Pizza is great but the order estimates are way too low. Took 60 mins to pickup when ETA was 30...felt esp bad for all the delivery drivers who had to wait.
My husband used to work here. Some of the staff can be ditsy. They all do well with kids. Space is a little cramped especially if you being children (toddlers) but overal a really nice place. Perfect for a first date or a date night getaway
Amazing pizza! Some places have a dialed in crust, some expertly marry great ingredients, Ballard Pizza does both. But wait, even their Caesar is great!
Best NY style pizza in the Seattle area. All aspects of the pies are on point. It can be a bit of a wait for a pie during peak hours.
The pizza is sooooo good. Hand tossed crust right in front of you with a sauce that is very tasty yet not overpowering. Love this place.
My favorite pizza in Seattle! I usually opt for the Big Moses, which is their mystery pizza of the day. I also appreciate their arugula salad, beer list and music selection.
It's one of the only spots in old Ballard to grab a slice. It's good pizza, but everytime I eat there I find myself wishing big Mario's was in Ballard proper instead of being tucked away in Frelard
Ballard pizza company is a great place to grab a quick takeout pizza or stop in for a bite. I find it to be in much less pretentious than Patxi's and generally has shorter wait times.
Proper huge tasty pizza slices. Not that wood fire fancy cheap either. Nice spot. Would have got 5 stars if not for slightly high price. Still a solid spot.
Exceedingly good pizza, but they are rude and slow. The staff (particularly one guy) making the pizza was aggressive and loudly commenting the customers' topping choices were "stupid". Took over an hour for them to make a pizza for pick up.
We got takeout from here this past week and loved it. A bit pricey at $28 for a large pizza, but worth it in the end. Will definitely go back.
LOVE their pizza- it's always busy there so expect to wait but you can seat yourself and order by the slice or wait for a table and order a whole pizza. They also serve wine and beer!
I can't remember what the name. We got the pizza where they pick for us. It's usually their daily special I think. Super good! Best pizza we've had in Seattle so far.
Delicious pepperoni pizza with a great crust.
The service was spotty...some people were super nice, while a few others were kind of rude. The pizza itself was pretty good, but in my opinion it doesn't live up to all the hype
I loved the pizza, it was cold and pouring and their fresh baked pizza was the best that happened. Took margarita and added meat to it. Oh God! The mere thought of it makes me salivate. 🤤 …
Good pizza, fairly affordable, the staff are very nice as well. There can be a lack of seating during busy times but it's easy to take it on the go.
The staff didn't seem too happy to see us. No smiles. The pizza was eastcoast style but something was missing. I think Pagliacci and The Rock are comparably better.
Great pizza but often the staff have a vibe like they could care less about you being there? Is maybe a new service culture thing? Not sure. But yes, I will go back for their awesome 🍕 …
Great vibe on Ballard Ave. Pie was huuuge and great taste all across the board.
Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Favorite pizza spot in Seattle for sure.
The carbonara is always one of our favorites. Every pizza we've had here is great though. Staff is friendly. Parking is somewhat difficult to find.
Not many places sell pizza by the slice- even more rare, great wood fired pizza by the slice. Perfect for when you are interested in portion control.
Loved the place, the beer, the cider, the pizza and the music!
not bad for a bunch of hippies
arugula is gross but really tastes like ny style
sauce 👍 …
Thin pizza crust, very good quality toppings, great ambience, very friendly staff. I couldn't ask for more! 5 stars!
Really enjoyed the food here. The pizza was good and the atmosphere was great too. Will definitely be eating here again!
Good pizza but disorganized and rude staff makes it almost not worth it. Somehow it’s an inconvenience for the owner that costumers are in his restaurant ordering pizza.
Great pizza spot to hit after visiting some of the local breweries nearby. Slices are huge and they have a rock solid variety.
The best pizza in Ballard. I have had maybe 3-4 pizzas ever that are better than the Staple and Fancy. Maybe. Great beer too.
Not worth it. The most average pizza I've ever had. It's not terrible, but there is much better pizza in Ballard.
Great place to just grab a slice, or order a whole pie. Dine in or take out. Good quality pizza.
Pretty much what you’d expect 🤷🏼♀️ had a great cider, pizza was decent, maybe a little pricey but on par for Ballard. …
I've literally not ordered pizza from anywhere else since ordering here over a year ago. Their pizza is amazing. Pagliacci and Zeeks become quite disappointing after eating pizza here.
Their pizza is always delicious and their staff is always friendly and helpful. Our go to place for Pizza in Ballard (and pretty much anywhere in Seattle)
Great pizza. We had to wait an hour for a table but there is a bar next door so it wasn't to bad.
The food was great, but my pickup order was 20 minutes late. It happens now and again, and I'll definitely be back.
This is my favorite pizza place of all time. the staff is incredibly friendly. My family will tell you, this is the only pizza place I ever want to go to.
Pretty good by-the-slice deal. Just don’t expect the freshest or best selection of pizza if you arrive within an hour of closing.
Great place to grab a slice to go, or eat in. The carbonara pizza is my favorite! Very hospitable bunch of people. I want to eat here everyday.
Kids love this place. Dough for them to play with or snack on while waiting. Cool vibe and well above average thin crust pizza.
Great price and you can do by the slice or entire pies. Staff is always super friendly, but may be busy so don't hesitate to wave them down if you're up front
Incredible pizza. Great to go or stay to watch the flying dough. Can be busy, noisy and pretty hectic.
Love this pizza! So tasty. Also nice neighborhood atmosphere, local beer and friendly staff
Great place for late night eating, especially nestled between the surrounding breweries. It's a great place to grab a bite between drinks. Also great pricing and service!
Overpriced for what we paid. Pizza was burnt and definitely not above average quality or taste. Not really sure why the reviews rave so much.
Excellent Carbonara pizza. Happy hour deal is a slice + tall boy (PBR or Rainier) for $5
Huge pizza slices, NY style. Crisp crust, well cooked. Beer selection is good.
The pizza quality is usually a hit or miss. Sometimes you get perfectly made pizza and other times you get greasy ones.
Pest pizza in town. The have limited seating but its worth the wait. Staff is awesome and the beer is top notch.
Veggie bomb pizza is delicious!
As a New Yorker, this is the best pizza I've found in Seattle. I highly recommend them.
Good Pizza, and on Sundays your first slice is $1 if you buy any drink.
Good crust on the pizza but no vegan/daiya cheese options. Good beer selection.
Recently moved to Seattle and its one of the closest NY pizza places I've come across! Delicious!
Had a great experience here, Torrey was great, even though he was totally busy making pizzas he made us feel welcome!
Pizza is good! Usually available by the slice but on busy nights it can be a whole pie night only
Crust was just right, toppings were quality, beer was decent
Good pizza. Get it by the slice now or wait for a whole pizza. Always delicious!
The best hand tossed pizza in Seattle hands down! Try the rotating mystery pizza, you certainly won't be disappointed!
Crust and toppings are great. Red sauce is a little too plain for me. Go for the Carbonara pizza
This place is GREAT! Pies are perfect!(The Whole hog was the choice for me.) Good folks, good food. That's the recepie for a hood time, right?
Yummy pizza, thin crust. Staff was very friendly.
Great pizza by the slice when you want something fast, with fun staples like garlic and spinach.
Great pizza in the style of true Brooklyn pizza but with additional non traditional ingredients
The slices are solid but the fresh made pizzas are some of the best in town
Unpleasant hostess. Food was ok. Lots of other options around here though, won’t come again.
Love this place! One of the top pizza places in Seattle. Be sure to try the caeser salad.
Best pizza in town! Must go check it out. The service is great here.
I love pizza!
Grabbed a few slices and headed to Goldens gardens for the afternoon, Ballard pizza Co always has the staples plus something new every time I come by
Great little place with a fun atmosphere. Pizza was great, and was cooked surprisingly quickly.
It was alright, crust was so-so, tasted a bit too salty for my pallet, but the slices were still good
The pizza was great. Although it can be a long wait
Super awesome place for perfect for families and casual beer drinkers.
The food is great, don't be scared of the big moses, they're always awesome.
Decent pizza and good beer. Great place to grab a bite during a night out.
Love the crust on these pizzas and the happy hour deals are awesome!
Pizza soo good. Local beers on tap. It's not cheap, but sooo sooo good. I will be a regular.
Good pizza and freely good Caesar salad. Note that the smallest size pizza is quite big.
Pretty good pizza, too little sauce. Similar or a little better than Frelard Pizza and not quite as good as Pagliacci.
Great place to have a small party or gathering. The pizza is amazing and the staff is phenomenal!!!
the pizza is awesome. eat some. like actually. it's my favorite pizza in Seattle.
Pretty legit pizza joint. The castelvetrano olives were going as was the flatbed and the arugula salad.
Always tasty pizza options, great beers, and a comfy and relaxed atmosphere.
It’s fine pizza. I felt like it was a bit over priced.
Great pizza for Seattle. Big slices and cheap beer. Definitely worth stopping by.
Very good pizza , Happy hours and slices are available.
We got margarita pizzas and sour beer and it was all fantastic! A wonderful little place.
Great pizza, fun and attentive staff. Good selection of beer.
Great crispy crust. Toppings were not greasy. Really good spot
Very welcoming and chill place, great, casual vibe, very good pizza too!
Best pizza I've had in the states since living in Italy
Just hosted an event for a large group here - tasty pizza, friendly and helpful staff, and great ambience!
Best pizza I've had since moving to Seattle!
This is just some of the best pizza I've ever had.. I need say no more.
The Big Moses is so great. Trust them. They will make a delicious pizza.
Great place place for Ballard Pizza. Watch the dough spin in the kitchen while enjoying your pie!
Best pizza by the slice in Seattle. 3 locations- Ballard, SLU, Frelard.
incredible Pizza and relatively fast service as well. definitely recommend the Moses pizza, trust me 😉 …
YUM! The whole pizzas can be a bit pricey, but it always feels worth it once you take that first bite. Pizza-by-the-slice is where it's at!
Good pizza, nice beer selection, and a pleasant, rustic ambience.
Best pizza in Seattle IMO. Great happy hour, too!
Great value, nice space, but not a good choice on a hot day. No air conditioning and little breeze. The service was great.
Good food, but at Ballard pricing. Fun and casual, with a great playlist
This is the beat pizza in Seattle! great atmosphere, great pizza, friendly staff.
Super friendly staff and great beer. No wood fire pizza.
Have pretty good pizza and nice staff. Sometimes have a pretty long wait when busy

Great homemade pizza. Good variety and tasty.
Possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I come here as often as I can.
From NY and I've been looking for a great pizza place out here. This is it!!
Great pizza tossers and superb pizza stands. Ask for their Surprise Pizza and Pizza Beer.
Best pizza happy hour, get there before 6pm.
Fresh slices, crispy crust, tasty toppings...both traditional and novel.
Always a good spot for fresh pizza with quality ingredients
Great pizza by the slice! Also plenty of beer on tap

Great pizza and excellent local micro brew selection.
Pizza was bad
Service was nice but slow
Atmosphere was OK for adults, but quite bad for kids...

Good thin crust pizza in a relaxed atmosphere
Pizza by the slice, with the classics and some interesting slices too. Beer on tap.
The pizzas are huge and taste great!
As a former New Yorker/New Jerseyan, the only place in Seattle that compares to NY Pizza
Great beer-pizza spot! Best pizza in Ballard!
wed nite 6pm 3 slices came out quickly.
Great homebuyer class today for ESR employees. and...AMAZING pizza
Excellent late night spot. The garlic spinach slice is unbelievable.
Excellent waitress. Funny and informative. Pizza was excellent.
Slices aren't very big. Long wait, which I don't mind waiting for... When it meets expectations but this missed the mark.
The food was good, but the employees weren't friendly.
Great food and the staff is awesome.plus a welcoming atmosphere
Delicious pizza with fantastic choices!
Best Pizza in Ballard and open late, that's enough for me
