Reviews of Bai Tong Thai Street Cafe
The Maplewood Suite
This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in a long time! Loved the atmosphere and the happy hour prices were great and portions were generous. The drinks were fantastic...gotta try the smoked old fashioned! Literally served with a bottle of smoke. Such a neat experience. Happy hour from 4-6, we ordered the Crispy Garlic Chicken, Pad Thai, and Vegetable Dumplings and it was just the right amount of food. Can't recommend this place enough!

Lively atmosphere, especially at night for dinner. Could be loud. They offer lots of "street food" style Thai fusion dishes. I thought they were flavored pretty well and service was really nice. Huge restaurant so that was also a plus. Food was decent for the atmosphere.
MaddiezMunchies
Great vibes, very lively, not a fancy but not a casual place. Would be great for a date night. The food was great and the pricing was reasonable. Make a reservation or use the waitlist if you can! When busy, it was a little hard to get the servers attention.
Abrar Chowdhury
This place was absolutely spectacular! Food was flavorful and spicy, staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant atmosphere was classy and sophisticated! I highly recommend this as if you're craving Thai cuisine
Tulasiram Sonthineni
Mixed Drinks were great !! The presentation is amazing, Had their crab friedrice it is onw of yhe best i have eaten , 10/10 for the ambiance and presentation, The personal Robot is shows topper, Not satisfied with Dessert though .
Delia K
great flavorful and pretty authentic thai place! the boat noodle vermicelli was on the thin side, and the soup was rich. the sauce that came with the chicken rice complemented the dish well and the rice was well flavored too. there were options to have either steamed or fried chicken or both, and would recommend the steamed version as the fried chicken had a pretty thick batter and not much meat.
Jahnavi Motepalli
Cute and neat robot service.. great food! Loved the fried Icecream followed by the Chicken fried rice with Chicken Panang curry and the chicken wings.. the Pad Thai was too sweet than usual which is disappointing. But the food really has the street style essence !!

At first a little skeptical on the area, but once you enter, you forgot what you saw prior to entering. Lol. I’m sure it’s just the nature of the city. We were greeted with a smile and was seated immediately. With water already available. We come from a small town so we didn’t know that you could down load the menus. While I was taking in the decor, kids being smart as they are, noticed the cube with the downloadable image for the menu’s. Wished I could’ve ordered more then what we ordered. Everything was so good! We ordered the Chicken wings to start. Pad sei Lew, deep fried pork belly with rice and topped with a fried egg, plus crispy garlic chicken and of course mom had to order the 5 spice Thai ice tea. We still had leftovers. So that was plenty. Would come back. But since only in the city for a limited time and so much to experience, it’ll be added to our next visit list options!
Noticed they didn’t use the robot servers. So that probably is only used certain times of the day. Forgot to ask about that. Oh well… food and atmosphere was still memorable and kids and I plan on returning!.

Immediately walking through the door you are hit with good vibes. The staff dress in rainbow themed shirts and greet you with a smile. The food arrived quickly, was hot, and delicious. They offer you different spices and sauces to add to your dish and choose your own spicy level. I had the chicken pad see iew and to drink a sedas on fire. They also have robot servers that bring your meals to your table!
Irene Kuo
Food was great!! The crispy garlic chicken was amazing 5/5. The Pad Thai was 4/5. Service was very friendly~ will come back again
Zoe Amaris
Ordered takeout and it was a quick turnaround, good portions, and delicious! Recommend ordered spicy level 2 to start if you want a good kick. The Tom yum was my favorite - very lime forward with lots of fun additions (fish balls, fish cake, pork, etc). Will be returning!
Neil Cullen
The food was delicious. The housemade Northeastern Thai Fermented Sausage is one of my favorites. Do not forget to try there craft cocktails!
Steven Y
Not only are boat noodles hard to find on menu outside of Thailand, it's also rare that is good. This bowl was delicious! I got 3 out of 4 peppers was a bit ambitious for me even though I'm used to eating hot stuff. 😅 …
Suzie
Excellent service, fun and inviting atmosphere w/open doors during summer months. My favorite Thai in the Capitol Hill area. I especially enjoy their cocktails and tea selection as well. 5 out 5 for sure!
Gwyneth So
The best crispy garlic chicken i've ever tried in Seattle. A must try! Food came out relatively quick which is good.
Xiaojing Ji
Definitely a pleasant re-visit after 3 years. I tried the bbq pork & crispy pork belly over rice and tom yum soup, both were delicious and flavorful! Bbq pork was juicy and the pork belly was crunchy. This place has my favorite tom yum soup, especially because of the mushroom they use in the soup. Most Thai restaurants around Seattle use baby bella or white mushroom, but this place uses straw mushroom and it tastes so much better in my opinion.
Shantanu Agarwal
Gosh! What a thai cafe it is! I really thai food specially Panang & green curry, so happened to hit by this restaurant while taking a long walk in Capitol Hill.
This cafe is located right at the centre of Cap Hill, with no parking facility (but you can get Turbocharges & gas station with 500 yards).
I tried green chicken curry (oh man, those kafir lime leaves flavor 😍 in it), Tofu fries & a glass of wheat beer stout.
Everything was amazing, do not expect to get free portion of rice, you need to pay extra $3 for it (but that’s ok 😊).
Tofu fries were sumptuous with cherry & peanut sauce.
Ambiance is great, staff is really helpful.
I would come to this place again!

Excellent Thai food and a great variety of drinks, appetizers and desserts. This restaurant was located very close to our hotel in the downtown area of Seattle, and we were able to walk here and enjoy semi-outdoor dining with the large open window panels allowing fresh air in. Our waiter, Dan, was really friendly and made the ordering process very easy. We ordered Pad Thai with chicken, crispy wonton appetizer and two specialty drinks including a lemongrass Moscow mule. I give the Bai Tong Thai restaurant five stars.
Bill Hass
Excellent service. I came in around 7:30pm with crutches, my wife, and my 3 year-old. Staff was really good about supporting us and ensuring we were having our needs met. The food delivery robot was a surprising curiosity and the interior was decorated nicely for Halloween. Food was great and authentic according to our experience in Thailand.
Smittyz Smittyz
Excellent Fon our server was fantastic. The best part was the operations manager was there helping take care of customers . Her energy and enthusiasm was refreshing especially from a person who works in the corporate office. Great job my son thanks you for his flower it made his day

I can not express how much I love this place and how good their food is!
I order at least once a week to go, that's how good it is. Very rare to find yellow curry. They have it.
Their food never disappoints. They are consistent and honor any special requests. They also have big portions.
Delicious. Pricey, but definitely worth it.
Simona Yip
Excellent food! I had the pad Thai with chicken and my partner had the Tom kah soup. We also had the five spice Thai tea drink which was beautifully presented.
Unfortunately, our friends were still eating dinner and our server started asking us to pay the bill. She brought the machine and proceeded to take payments without even asking if we were ready. The automatic 20% gratuity was added for 6 people but it was also not mentioned before paying.
Angel Neblett
Stop here unexpectedly and sat 5 minutes before happy hour ended. The waitress put in our whole order right before the buzzer. We got three appetizers and two dishes for $40. Food was good. Fried tofu, tofu fresh rolls, vegetable dumplings and two pad tia dishes. I got a spicy of 5 and it was the perfect heat combination.
Dru Delong
Love the location, decor and staff. Unique cocktails! They even have a robot delivering entrées. Super fun time
Cameron Head
The food was pretty good. I liked that I could easily customize my food to make it vegan. My biggest issue is that I ordered my food five stars and they completely left out the spice. I had someone else at my table with less tolerance to spice try it to confirm.
Stanley Wongus
Slightly more expensive then I would have liked for take out, but the green curry I got was really delicious! Lots of great Thai food and options here too
Srishti Hunjan
So much better than the Redmond one! The staff is courteous, warm and *smiles*, and service is super fast.
Food and drinks were great. Parking was the only problem but being a week night, we luckily didn't have to park too far.
Cedrick Ward
Wow! I was so impressed with the presentation and taste of this food! The atmosphere was amazing and the staff truly understand the concept of customer service. I took my family here after stumbling upon the Cafe on Instagram and it did not disappoint. I definitely recommend anyone in the area to try this place out!
Shane Rideout (SeattleShane)
Upscale Thai food in the heart of capital hill. Fast service with all the usual suspects.
Jon Schwindt
The food was great, good job on the crispy pork belly. Our group ordered several cocktails and everyone enjoyed. The robot waiter seems ineffective but is funny and interesting. Great ambiance in restaurant, just some tables have heaters and unfortunately ours didn’t do we were pretty cold. Would definitely come back!
sophia elmobdy
The food is amazing!! But I had made a reservation before hand at 5:30pm for 8 people. We were going to be a little late so I called and to let them know and they said no problem. When one of my friends walked in she saw that they were giving our table to another walk in group in our reserved spot. And they sat us in the back with terrible lighting. I had made a reservation to ensure my friends and I get good seating. It was disappointing to not have gotten that. And I had to get our waiters attention twice before he came and took our order because he didn’t notice us in this corner with one light bulb. So the experience wasn’t good but the food was awesome.
Morgan Peterson
Everything about this place is absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere, the drinks the food and ESPECIALLY the service, all of it is top tier! 12/10 will absolutely recommend to family and friends! Shout out to our waitress Tik who was THE BEST waitress I’ve ever had !!
Kalyna
No seating allowed at the bar 9pm on a Thursday so I had to sit in a big booth by myself and listen to staff vacuuming an hour before close. Service was great! Food was not quite as good as your average Thai takeout but it was alright.
Phùng Quốc Hải
The price is acceptavble in Downtown area, the food is very tasty. The waiter is very nice and friendly. We got pad thai, crispy garlic chicken and fresh roll. I love pad thai in this restaurant because they made it not too sour or too sweet in anoth place, the flavour is prefectly balanced. The crispy chicken didnt meet our expectation about brittleness and flavour and we think it kinda over priced and overated ( base on our experience).
Olivia M
Really good thai food. Always a great standard of food and service. Would recommend the crispy chicken or pad see ew. Green tea comes with fresh leaves too. Easy to maintain social distancing at this location and also the decor is nice inside. Staff friendly too.
Alexis Nery
Some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Wish this restaurant was back in my home city. Crab wontons and tom kah soup were standouts. The pad thai and thai iced tea were also great. We had it delivered so can't say anything about dine in experience.
Khuyen Ha
So this place seems so famous and I love Thai food so I must check it out. This review should have made in Aug/2018 but I know I'm lazy
The look: amazing design, especially if you sit at tables along the street. It's so fun to watch people walking by.
The staff: one of the best you can ask for. They were very attentive and friendly, ask them for recommendations if you are confused with what to order
The food: well, I'm spoiled for this, I love spicy food and I lived in Bangkok for 5 years so I know what the authentic Thai food is. 5his place kinda delivered it. I would say 70%, so it's a good sign. The food was good in 5heir own way but not authentic. So I also understand why people love it.
The drinks: except the Thai tea, I was not happy with 5h3 drinks. The bar looks too nice to deliver not-so-good-looking- cocktails. They need a new bartender for this.
Sebastian Tien
Came in craving some authentic street food but was slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food was still good, but it is definitely an Americanized take to authentic Thai food, but above that, it's pricey for what it is.
I got the grilled pork skewers & sticky rice, crispy mussel pancake, and the red curry. The pork skewers were not grilled long enough, as they didn't really char and they tasted like it was boiled and finished with grill marks. The sauce was excellent so that made up. The crispy mussel pancake I would NOT recommend getting. It reminded me of a banh xeo (Vietnamese dish) but there might have been a total of less than 8 mussels in the entire pancake? Not worth the money for sure. The red curry was excellent and just like every good Thai restaurant!
The food was above average/ok, but for the price, I'll never come back.
Ingrid Lyublinsky
Was an okay experience catching up with a friend for lunch. Service was really slow, as it seemed like they did not have enough staff on. The team themselves were nice when they were able to come by.
Once the food came out, it was all under seasoned and heavily over cooked.
Drinks were really great, which is why I give it a three, and the space itself is pretty rad.
kinc
One of the best thai restaurant in Seattle.
Andrew Dabydeen
The food was okay in my opinion. Everything came out very quickly and was pretty lukewarm. The fish cake appetizer wasn’t too appealing and the garlic chicken wasn’t seasoned properly. Maybe they were having an off day but I doubt I’ll be coming back here anytime soon.
Daniel Loo
Every thing here was solid. The Thai ice tea was really good as was the crispy garlic chicken. The other dishes were alright - solid Thai place in cap hill among many others
Long Vu
Seated right away, but took a while for the server to take our order. Every dish ordered came out delicious at the right temperature and plated nicely!
Michaela Nee
Apart from just being absolutely gorgeous inside, this restaurant was amazing. Food was awesome, servers were incredibly kind and helpful, and the drinks were really good too!
Perla Carreón
Great flavor, it’s a good price considering that the place is really cozy and a bit fancy, always a great service as well
Sagar Vora
Loved the food here, we ordered 3 curries, 2 yellow and 1 green along with pad thai noodles, loved the taste of the curries and the noodles as well. The service was ok because he kept forgetting what we had ordered and we had to call him many times, he forgot to bring drinks before the main food but overall the taste is nice, we made it in tofu as we are vegeterians. The thai ice tea was also good. Overall 4 by 5 for the place and for food 5/5.
Norah D
Been going to this restaurant for 2 years, with dine-in, takeout, and delivery. This place has never disappointed, best pad thai in the area no matter what toppings I got at different times (chicken, tofu, veggie, extra egg). Great atmosphere, friendly and modern surroundings.
Ritu Parekh
Love: How large and airy the space is, the open window/walls, their desserts (especially the Bua Loy) are so so freaking good.
Less Love: They don't have physical menus and cell service is spotty so pulling the menu up can be painful. The main dishes were alright, but nothing that would pull me back; this might just be for the vegetarian dishes.
Charlotte Baker
This was our first time visiting Bai Tong Thai. The service was excellent! The food just okay. It was hard to enjoy the food because we had to wear our coats the entire time we were there. It was absolutely freezing in the restaurant.
Daniel Miller
Excellent ambiance and friendly staff can't compensate for underwhelming Thai food. Dishes labelled with a scary "🌶️🌶️" weren't spicy at all, and the flavor wasn't very rich either. The only bright spot was the Thai Iced Tea, which was excellent. …
Jenny Flrs
The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the ambiance was lovely. I was visiting Seattle and this is the stand out place I dined at, would definitely return if I visit Seattle again!
Gouri Deshpande
Nice place and nice ambience. Located very close to cupcake royale at Capitol Hill. Veg options are available. Street side paid parking is available.
Kammeron Brown
The service can be middle of the road sometimes... but the food quality is consistently high; and the atmosphere is nice. My go to in the neighborhood.
Aishwarya Patankar
Incredibly friendly staff. The food comes delivered by a robot. And it was honestly the best Phad See Ew I've ever had. Definitely going to be coming here a lot.
Brian S
Lovely establishment, service was prompt and food was delicious. There 5/5 is not hot enough for me. However, the food was fantastic
Elliott Hodson
Me and my two siblings came here right after going to Barrio across the street as we were looking for a chill place just to grab a drink. One of the things I have noticed and truly appreciated in Seattle is that many Thai restaurants have really unique and innovative cocktail menus. Bai Tong has an extensive list to choose from with many of the ingredients made in house.
The two I got: Mehkong River and B & R were absolutely delicious, combining many traditional herbs and spices with citrus and Thai spirits.
I can't judge them on food as we only came for drinks but the service was exceptional with all three bartenders giving us exactly what we had hoped for. Will be back again soon!
Pamela Mead
Happy hour is delicious, reasonably priced and perfect portions!
Matthew Yost
This has quickly become my go-to Thai restaurant... Really good. I don't go out much but I do enjoy ordering in after a hard day at work and this always hits the spot! Even my girlfriend who is the hardest in the world to please likes this place very much, she claims it runs a little on the hot side but she still eats it with a smile on her face, and I think that the seasoning and spices are just perfect. I foresee this being my favorite restaurant for The foreseeable future.
Beth Lawson
Great Thai food, very flavorful, loved the decor and the staff was very friendly.
Emery Edwards
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! We’ve been there three times so far and it’s been delicious every single time. Some of the best Thai curry I’ve ever had and the Thai iced tea cocktail was also soo good. You really can’t go wrong with anything in the menu. Also a great place for a birthday with free fried ice cream and a birthday song 😋 …
Li Wang
Great place for Thai food with attentive servers!
nancy c
Great place. Want to stop in next week too!
Saw this on Facebook and when I got off the plane, picked up my rental car I headed straight for it!
Worth it! I want to move to Seattle now. (DFW)
Jonathan Mathews
GREAT MENU AND ENERGY, LOVE THEY HAVE THINGS FROM NORTHEASTERN THAILAND ON THE MENU. GET THE BEEF SALAD. YUM NUA. ASK FOR SITA, SHE MADE MADE OUR EXPERIENCE SO ENJOYABLE.
Wayne Swanson
Loved it! Beautiful interior. Good menu selection. Delicious food. Excellent staff.
Malisa Nguyen
BAI TONG CAPITOL HILL IS SPECTACULAR!! I’ve been to several other locations but the customer service at this one was PHENOMENAL! Our server, Hung was dutifully diligent to all our needs. Anything we needed or didn’t know we needed was brought to our table within SECONDS. She has a bubbly attitude and we even got to learn a bit about Thailand. The hospitality was so warm and comforting, I’d say it was worth the price. Fried ice cream will leave you feeling giddy. If you’re skeptical just go, maybe if you’re lucky you’ll get Hung to give you a marvelous dining experience.
Bonnie Colon
Casual sophisticated atmosphere, great service and food was simple and delicious! Fun theme drinks
Kassidy Albritton
Bai Tong was EXACTLY what I was looking for 😍 we came to visit from out of town. Very pretty restaurant, beautiful food presentation, drink selection was great. I also really enjoyed the Thai Tea!
Shivanjali Gupta
Authentic Thai restaurant with nice ambience. They had fewer vegetarian curry options which were without Fish Sauce. We had Spring Roll, Pad Khi Mao, Yellow Curry and Mas-sa-Mun Curry. Spring rolls and Mas-sa-Mun Curry were delicious.
Aspen Green
the food here is soooo good and we were so happy they were open during the great seattle freeze of 2022
Sukhdev Singh
Delicious food. We ordered Pad Sei-lew and Red Curry with brown rice. The spiciness was just right. Will order again.
OG FATASS
The Larb was very good. Different in that they used cabbage leaves instead of lettuce.
Matt Perrone
Bai Tong is one of the many Thai restaurants here in Seattle, and although it's usually pretty busy, the service is still pretty quick and the food is pretty delicious. Pricing is average, and portions are a little more than average, but they do have a little bit bigger of a menu than some others. BBQ Pork, Panang Curry and some other staple dishes are good choices here. would definitely recommend coming in here if you are floating around in Cap Hill looking for some Thai.
Tymon Johns
I got fried chicken. It was ok, but not great. Nobody in the group I was with thought the food was particularly good, but the ambiance was nice and the service was fast.
Jarek Halat
Delicious food and amazing service! Beer on tap and in bottles. Wine and other cocktails available too.
Maryse Guevara
Excellent food, large portions, helpful waiter. Our food was served in minutes. In our party we had someone eating vegan, someone avoiding gluten, and a couple omnivores. Everyone was happy with their selections. The ribs were especially a hit with the omnis. They even rewarmed food that had cooled. Nice, relaxed ambience.
Yazan Billeh
Best Thai food in Seattle. Hands down. If we are in Cap Hill, we are in Bai Tong.
Austin Curtis
Food and service were awesome! They just need somewhere for you to park.
陈颖欣
The food was great! Especially love the crab fried rice
Patricia Heath
Red curry was delicious!!! We also got the crab wontons and pad kee mai which were also amazing. My Thai tea cocktail was super good, would definitely recommend that
Dmitry Lyalin
Eat here with my wife, both enjoyed our meal they make good food! Our waiter was really excellent too
Akshita Agarwal
Awesome food, awesome ambience, good veg options as well. Must visit!
Devika Batra
Really great food; a burst of flavours! Choose your heat levels carefully because these guys mean business. It was my first time there and I really look forward to going again!
Rafael Lopez
Helpful waiters including a mix of humans and robots. I always notice the music when I come here. I like it. Food is delicious, I don’t think you can really go wrong with anything. Yellow curry, bbq pork, spring rolls, crispy garlic chicken all very good.
stephen lambert
Great restaurant!!! I ordered Pad Thai with Garlic Chicken as the appetizer. I will definitely be back.
Joe Wilson
This place looked so cool, but when we got a seat after a thirty minute wait it was a small square table next to a pole, and we felt in the way of all the waiters going back and forth. The swimming Rama peanut sauce was really limited.
Poonam Bedarkar
The food is awesome. Hospitality is also good.must visit restaurant.i like spring rolls and 😋drinks are much good🍻
Anh Nguyen
Best Thai food in Capitol Hill. Recommend: mussel omellete❣️
Candace Ho
Came here on a Tuesday night with a reservation - they aren't super busy on a weeknight so if you don't have one, I'm sure you would still be fine on a weeknight. They have a cool cute interior - I really liked the booth we got seated at. It was long and spacious and had cute twinkle lights draped above us.
As a party of 4, we ordered 4 different dishes. Portion sizes are good! We almost couldn't finish them all.
My favorite was their crispy garlic chicken! It was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. There was definitely a good crispness to it!
Pad Thai and yellow curry was solid! You can choose the spice level of it (1-5).
Their beef salad was surprisingly really good! I thought the beef could have been just a little bit more tender but the flavor was fantastic. Has a good spice kick to it as well as some vinaigrette flavor!
Staff were friendly and attentive. They were helpful in giving suggestions for what to order since they have quite an extensive menu
Craig Young
Enjoyed eating here a lot! The service was awesome and the food came out super quick, the server was also on top of refilling our water and checking in on us. I got the crispy bork belly with basil which was slightly sweeter than I'd like but still delicious. The atmosphere inside is pretty nice too!
Christian Ahn
Great food and service! Will be a nice date night place.
Michael Aigner
Best crispy garlic chicken in town
jonathan spreadborough
The gluten-free options were so good. They have two dishes that are available as vegetarian and gluten-free, the fried tofu, and the spring rolls were vegetarian and gluten-free if you got the tofu. And we did and it was very very good. We had the dessert of the banana's in coconut milk, so yummy. The wait staff was very attentive and gracious and knowledgeable on ingredients and allergens. We will dine with them again, happily.
Anne Schnell
The food was there almost as soon as we ordered it
Grace Maria
Food are good. Service are good too.
Pranav Chaudhari
Quick service and great food! Highly recommend if you're into Thai food
Jazmine W
We got there about 30 minutes before they closed and the waitress was so nice and still served us food and drinks. All the food was super good and came out pretty quickly actually. The way just got all of our orders right, she didn’t even write them down! But it was a great experience and I would totally go there again! A perfect way to start the weekend night
Cory Swanson
Good atmosphere, great food! We stopped in for a late lunch so it's was very laid back. Almost too laid back at times as it took wait staff ages to seat us and take orders. That said, when the food came, it was absolutely delicious! Would definitely go again.
Geo Min
Great environment, friendly staff, COVID-friendly and great food, definitely a solid Thai restaurant with great flavors and elegance
Richard Jarvis
Bai Tong was a great choice for the group of us to enjoy good Thai food meal. The wait staff was quick, responsive, friendly and professional. The oders arrived in a timely manner and all agreed very tasty.
Michelle Cleary
This place is out of this world. We had been meaning to go here, and we will certainly be returning after our first visit a few weeks ago. As recently converted vegetarians, my boyfriend and I expected to struggle with the menu, but we managed to order three delectable dishes on the happy hour menu as well as a few drinks for a VERY reasonable price.
What's best, our waitress was just awesome. I wish I could remember her name. She made us feel like long long friends.
I love Thai, I love the look and feel of this place, and I love the staff here. I have nothing bad to say. Try it.
Dave T
This place is solid! They have made a really nice atmosphere and a great staff. Everyone was very nice and attentive. The food is great and appears to be authentic.
My only complaint is that there should be a couple appetizers that have appetizer prices. My appetizer was as expensive as my entree (for lunch). Maybe lunch appetizers are in order?
I don't like all of the local posters on the inside of the windows. This is a nice establishment and the posters obviously don't go with the decor or atmosphere. My best guess is that the owners were too nice to tell people no to the (free advertisement) posters. As I walked back, I took note of all of the other restaurants and their poster free windows. It looks to me like this nice restaurant has been taken advantage of.
Noah Stover
Can't compliment this place enough. Positive adequate service. Did not interrupt meal and was concise and helpful. Great seating, comfortable volume and temperature, water on table. The food was top notch. Had delicious fresh rolls and basil pork belly. Would highly recommend if you even remotely like Thai food.
Jintong Han
The waitress was staring at us when we were checking out and tipping. We don't know if it is a restaurant rule or it is done selectively to certain customers. Anyways, we felt very uncomfortable when we were tipping. The food we ordered, crispy garlic chicken and BBQ pork belly were oily.
Lea Young
Delicious food and cute place, however, we couldn't eat inside until evening
Geeth Chadalawada
The food is delicious. The staff is so friendly.
I wish parking in this area is a little more convenient.
Remy Van der Put
They serve some of the best Thai street food I have had this side of the ocean. I’ve been to several trips to Thailand and I think the food is super authentic at this place. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they play crazy loud music which doesn’t really lend itself to a relaxing dinner experience. It’s not a club, it’s a restaurant after all 😊.
Toby Sullivan
Delicious! Beautifully plated dishes! Cool robotic serving trays, rolling around like a Rumba delivering food to tables!
Pallas Wang
The staff and atmosphere here are both above average. The price range is also reasonable. Happy Hour selection is nice and generous. The only thing I would say is that the food could be better. We were not given a choice to choose how spicy to make our curry, and the crispy garlic chicken is on the sweeter side. Other than that, everything seems to be pretty nice. It was a pleasant visit altogether.
Vic Hop
Came here for dinner and the business was not overly crowded. I was able to be seated immediately. I have not eaten here before and had no idea what to order. The server pointed out her favorites and I was surprised she didn't pick the most expensive items on the menu. After discussing a few items, I selected Pad Khi Mao with a heat level of 3. The dish was spicy enough. Combined with the vegetables, the dish had many flavors. I would recommend trying the food. Hopefully you'll have a quality server who assisted me.
Cameron Lowell
I had my reservations about this place as it's called "street food" in a clean professionally designed restaurant charging $15/dish. While this was certainly no street food, I enjoyed it. Service was friendly and the water was never empty. Food came fast and the flavors were pretty good. I got the pork belly which was tasty and filling but was a little short on the amount of meat. I'd come back.

Good food, a little pricey but for the area and vibe, a good spot.
Jonnathan J Rodriguez
We got here a little bit before happy hour time, so we sat down in at the bar and ordered some drinks in the meantime, Josh the bartender was really nice, accommodating our request. The food was pretty good, we got like 4 different dishes from the happy hour menu, everything was tasty. Also important to mention, the place is really cool, ambiance and decoration.
Stephanie Aberlich
Wonderful food! The yellow curry and Pad Thai were phenomenal! Wonderful place for kids - they brought our son his own kiddie sized plate, fork & spoon! The service was great too! Very happy with our last minute choice as we arrived in town today.
Trina Miller
Great music playlist, great ambience and amazing food - recommend the brown rice with the Thai curries, and feel free to choose a spicier option since it gives it a nice kick. Be prepared to wait if you don't reserve but it's worth the wait. This is about the best Thai around, and while traveling I eat a lot of Thai. Simple meal this time, Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai, and both were terrific. The server was attentive but not overbearing, and he recommended a good wine too. Located in the heart of the Capital District so just steps away from all kinds of fun!

I’ve been here a couple times because I really like their take out. But some how in person they aren’t as good. Especially for the prices that they charge.
The first time I went I got a green curry which wasn’t that spicy even though I had asked for it to be. My friend ordered another dish that she had asked to be really spicy, but it was more like mild.
The second time I went I got Tom Kah. I couldn’t finish it. It was too gross. The broth was dull flavored and almost musty. There was way to much chicken and not enough broth.
I don’t think I’ll be coming here again because there are plenty of other places that are cheaper and taste better.
Rik Schutte
edit: woof, definitely went down hill. The Tom Kah no longer has the delicious large mushrooms it uses to and this last time I got it, it was a sugary mess. Like VIOLENTLY sweet. And waaaayy to much potato.
While we waited a bit long for service, I'll chair that up to growing pains with the adjustment of post lock down traffic.
Food was all absolutely excellent. I had the tom kha soup, and I'm drooling just thinking about it again. Coconut creamy with big chonky mushrooms. Be forewarned they don't mess around with spice level.
Ben
I think I had the garlic crispy chicken and it was super tasty and a bit sweet. My friends got some dishes that had fried pork belly and the meat was very hard and crunchy. It's unique, for sure, but not our cup of tea.
Ionica Hanson
Great food and service. Friendly host and waitress.
Richard Valente
I order take out from here regularly and the food is delicious and consistent. I also enjoy bringing friends to dinner/drinks here as the ambience/design is fun.
Jane Randolph
Went here with two of my friends and my boyfriend and had a WONDERFUL experience! Food, drinks, setting, and ambiance was spot on :) will definitely be going back here for more nights out after bouldering!

My unhealthy guilty pleasure. Only go for cheat days! I usually get the pad see ew (careful, it's hot! I love thai spicy, but if you don't like spice, order like 1* because even 3* will kill you) but it's pretty greasy.
The thai iced coffee/tea is very sweet. I love their crab fried rice but it's pricey at $20. Their butterfly drink is so pretty.
Keisha Hays
I love the food here! Consistently delicious and there are a lot of menu options. I have eaten at the restaurant itself and ordered takeout a few times and the quality hasn't changed either way. This is one of my fave neighborhood Thai places!
Ariel Y
We eat at this restaurant or order take out regularly. Everything is always tasty with prompt service, there's never a long wait for a table. Just celebrated my birthday there and the whole staff made it a special night. Happy hour in the bar is a great deal!
Gina N
Great customer service and great atmosphere. Good was delicious. My kids and I went to see my husband for his lunch break and we came here and they made sure to be very quick because they knew it was his lunch break. That was much appreciated!
The tables aren’t crowded I. The restaurant so you and your family will have plenty of space while eating!
Nathan McDaneld
Absolutely delicious. Fun environment with delightful people. Some of the staff are humans, and the rest are robots. Driving your food from the kitchen straight to your table. Prepare yourself for that experience.
Matt Zaharias
Each of the three appetizers we had during happy hour were delicious, as were our beverages. The spiced tea cocktail, the crab purses and the short ribs were all excellent items off the happy hour menu. We will definitely be back for more small plates or dinner to enjoy some of their larger dishes.
Jason Post
Omg....get the avocado starter! It was probably the best item I got out of two starters and two sashimi and sushi variety plates. Can't wait to go back! Also...clean bathroom, which is a good sign. 😀 …
Michaela Blanchard
Our food was delicious and came out to our table very quickly. Very impressed with service. We will be back!

I'm a longtime eater at the Redmond Bai Tong Thai, and this Capitol Hill location does not disappoint! Decor is wonderful; the room is a little loud, but acceptable. My dining companion, a connoisseur of the crispy garlic chicken, was pleased with this location's take on it.
Overall, glad to have this place on the west side!
Jason Bennett
This would’ve been a 5 star but the service was pretty terrible considering it was pretty quiet - however the food spoke for itself.
We had the wonton crab Rangoon for starters - it was the best I’ve had.
The pad see ew is as good as I’ve had - finding really good Thai is difficult. This particular dish is pretty challenging to find someone that knows how to get that smoky flavor with the wok.
The Penang curry also top notch - it was a little spicier than I’d have liked but it is Thai food.
All in all this was an unexpected treat and is definitely in the conversation of being the best Thai spot I’ve been to.
Added bonus is it’s quite fairly priced.
Kevin Parmley
Fantastic Thai food. Went with 3 people, ordered 5 things plus drinks and the tab was under $70 which is really saying something for both the quality of food and the places location. The service was very good and the food was even better. Had the pad Thai, short ribs, crab wontons, fresh rolls, and chicken wings and all were amazing.
jason pham
Interesting Thai restaurant that has more than just the regular Thai dishes that are available in most Thai places here in the states. The lunch specials are a pretty good deal and is delicious. Very modern space so its a cool place to hang out. The service is pretty good as well.
Surabhi Sankhla
This is my go to Thai place. Love the pad ki Mao and the yellow curry here. Recently tried their tofu roll and loved it as well. It had nice crispy leaves and a very balanced (not too sweet) peanut sauce. Will take off a star because I felt that the spicy level wasn't consistent. A 4 for me is perfect sometimes and toooo hot the other times.
Jim Schneider

Great place! Food is authentic, nice atmosphere, a bit pricy, but that's just a Seattle problem as far as I can tell.
Erin Reynolds
Very nice atmosphere. Amazing service, just because I was full and didn't really feel like taking my food out they thought I didn't like it and offered me a different menu item free of charge from the one I previously tried to eat. Very thoughtful of them. Also the Thai tea slushy is very good!
Rosemary Funk
Andre made this a very pleasant experience. I like this fight on restaurant a lot more than the Southcenter one. Portions are larger. The food to me is better than South Centers. Not to mention our server with way more polite to us.
Thank you for making this a great experience for Sofia and I
Shani Badnani
Really good food! Was seated on the bar side so service was a little slow.
Jane Mathias
Ordered take out during the pandemic from Bai Tong Cafe and must say food was ready within 15mins (impressive).. we ordered the pineapple fried rice(chicken) with the famous crispy garlic chicken and crab wontons.. we enjoyed the crispy garlic chicken so flavorful and the pineapple fried rice was delicious the sweet from pineapple blend perfectly with the thai spices to give this amazing flavor.. the wontons were definately good but I have had crispier better crab stuffing wontons at some other thai restaurants.. this place is a tad expensive as compared to the other thai restaurants in Seattle which serve equally amazing food.. but i would say its worth the price.. loads of indoor seating and good ambience but we will have to wait for covid to be done for us to get back to indoor seating here..
Ritesh Tawde
Not sure if it's really this way but pad thai noodles with shrimp had fishy odour to it. I am a big fan of seafood but this was totally weird for me. I have been to Thai cafes before but this was totally different.
Otherwise, fried rice with crab was awesome.
Kevin C
Excellent food, attentive staff, decent pricing, good setting.
Highly recommend this place and the Pa-nang Curry!!
Neil Anderson
Good food, fast service, the restaurant was an icebox.
Dannis Thompson
Food was good with authentic ingredients. They didnt have mango sticky rice available when i last went but sitll a good bite
Beatriz Castro
The food it's delicious, besides that the attention of costumer service it's very good.Thank you
Matt de Neef

Only been here for happy hour and it is solid food and drinks for a solid price. Service is fast, looks cool inside, isn't really authentic, but has good street dishes. There are also some good cocktails on happy hour.
Seth Rait
The atmosphere here is really great, but the food, unfortunately is not. It is edible and not bad, but also not even the best Thai food on the street. Better to go here for a drink than a meal, but even for that, this restaurant is surrounded on all sides by better bars, so maybe not.
Newsha Makooi
My draft beer arrived warm and it was switched out for a cold bottle immediately. Appetizers and meal arrived promptly and tasted delicious. I had a great experience. I'll go back here again soon. 👍 …
Adam Herscher
Amazingly tasty, unique Thai dishes
Michael Louie
Excellent Thai good. I got a free Phad Thai voucher because it was my birthday week and they wished me happy birthday. Everyone else was delicious. Would order again and again!
Ashley Ellerson
Walked in just in time for late night happy hour with a friend, and we were promptly seated at the bar to be near the open windows for a breeze. My fresh rolls and Moscow Mule were very good! The bartender was friendly and checked in on us often enough. I'll visit again to try an entree.
Debbie Lin
Been for dinner and happy hour - nice ambiance and service, curries are a great value anytime, good deals for happy hour. And where else can you get a boozy thai tea? The restroom situation is a little complicated and not a great value for some entrees, but would be my overall recommend for thai in the pike/pine corridor.
LIANNE AMANNA
Tried the appetizers and cocktails. Good service and drinks but average food.
Robert Fertig
The fried pork belly was delicious, but it wasn't warm. 2/4 things on my plate I didn't know how to eat (and I'm pretty good about eating Thai food and lots of other food). They brought me humongous pieces of bok choy but no knife or chop sticks. Similar feel to Soi, the other "hip" feeling Thai restaurant in the Pike Pine area of Capitol Hill. The server I had wasn't great about recommendations. He seemed baffled when I didn't have anything I couldn't eat.
Definitely good food, but a lot they can improve on.
Tiffany Luong
Great lunch specials. Wish there were other options as well
Andrew G.
Very good Kao Mun Gai, a dish that's hard to find done well in Seattle. The chicken is one large piece of skin-on chicken, not just pieces of skinless chicken breast. I keep coming back.
Crystal
I love this place for a quick drink and happy hour. There’s a bartender with the beard that’s rude af tho.
Van H
Decor is modern and inviting. Food was good, although they messed up my order. I decided against complaining because we waited a while for the food and I just wanted to eat. Luckily it was good. They also ran of the beer I wanted.
James Couture
OK, but not particularly exciting. The food was not uniformly warm when it should have been, the crispy pork belly was mediocre, and the 4-stars spicy was a 3. Quick and easy though. Fresh.
Skyler Loth
Fast service, good food, semi-open air during warm days when they open the large windows.
PrettyQute
I couldn't get into the unicorn bar across the street so I came here they have delicious mules and appetizers and everything is done under 5 minutes... So delicious
JP
One of the better Thai restaurants in a town with too many Thai restaurants. Large modern space in a warm eclectic atmosphere. Their food can get very spicy so be warned.
vic pugs
One of the best thai food I've had outside of Thailand. The waiter gave us good recommendations. Good customer service, amazing ambience and amazing Thai food. I couldn't ask for more from a Thai restaurant.
Mark Penaroza
Delicious Thai food. Particular favorites include the crispy garlic chicken, Thai beef salad, and the fresh rolls with BBQ pork and shrimp.
Sabrina Huston
Really tasty food and a fun environment, but we were slow to be served and our waitress seemed to be rushing us. Happy to come back, hopefully it will be better next time!
Shadman Samin
The food here taste very watered down. The curry or the noodles tastes very flat and misses key flavors. Tried their food multiple time was disspointed every single time thinking I will try something different and it will be better.
Marcella Bunge Guerra
The staff here was very friendly and helpful when it came to making suggestions. I lived in Thailand for 3 years and I can say that, aside from the types of condiments on the table, the food is definitely very authentic.
Angela Reed
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The recipes are very good and the service is very accommodating. The drinks are unique and tasty. Bring friends and enjoy!
Derek Lam
Yellow curry pork is great. Cool decor. Efficient services
Kirk B.
La La is always very kind and makes me feel at home
Feven Kebede
Beautiful atmosphere, the food was very flavorful, and tasty. The service was exceptional, our waitress Camry was very attentive. We will definetely be returning customers!
Joe DiFabio
Great food… would’ve left 5 stars but Karn our waiter seemed like he really didn’t want us there, rude!
Tammy Tsantilas
Great food, great service! They accommodate gluten free needs as well. If you have celiac, feel free to dine here!
Rose Guttman
Went here for my birthday dinner, the food itself was delicious (I got the yellow curry) but the incredibly friendly staff really made my night. Highly recommend.
Saurabh Sarkar
Food and Place is great. 1 point is less due to the fact that they forgot one of our group's order and we had to wait for them to cook it after all the other orders were already served.
Nic Prior
Pad Kee Mao was good, but the chicken tasted "off". Not "off" like it will get me sick. I just mean it tasted rubbery, or microwaved. The rest of the dish was great though!
Gary Bamesberger
Trendy food in a trendy area. The food was easy to eat and filling, the tea hot and the service was attentive. I wouldn't make this a destination but take it for what it is, convenient and good in a part of town with a lot of nightlife going on.
D K (DK)
Always good every time I go. One of the most consistent restaurants I have been to. Staff are very polite as well. Highly recommend.
Austin Kihara
If you aren't feeling vicious enough for the club, dinner and drinks at Bai Tong cap hill will make you feel like you made it out.
N Soetanto
I like this Thai cafe. Good location for shopping + just sight seeing in Town. The food is mild to spicy and yummy.... The music is good + not to mention, friendly servers...always with a smile.
Jaime Calvillo
Food is good except their portion size servings are much smaller than other surrounding thai food places in the area and prices are higher.
Chris Palmer
I fee like I'm in an aquarium in this place. That's not a bad thing. The ambiance is really cool and blue. This is actually one of the best Thai places in Seattle.
Vijay Chaudhari
Great service!! Food could be better, but it’s about my personal preferences too. Server and chef customized a lot of things we needed. Thanks to both!
Michelle Hoogveld
I love everything about this restaurant. The food is wonderful. My new fav in Seattle.
Eyung G
Love this place and all the other sister restaurants. Tom yum soup is properly sour. Food is always consistent.
Nassuel
Really good Pad Khi Mao. You can also do mocktails as I got the tamarind one.
JOSE DE JESUS BARAJAS TORRES
In my last visit to Seattle, a friend took us to eat this place, we simply loved it. Clean, modern, delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommended
Michael G. Barash
Food was good, service was good. I'm not sure why you have to order rice as a side for an extra charge when you order curry. Makes no sense to me.
Peter Rowe
Great atmosphere, great food, fast friendly service and totally eager to modify my requests to be vegan and fit my needs and taste. Will be back!
Keenan Holmes
Added to the go to list of "must come back here as soon as possible"
Kayla Lynn
The food was amazing!
Tomas Rodriguez
Great location, ambiance, price, and food! Definitely recommend if you like Thai food or you are looking for a place to eat with a group
B C
I don’t understand the negative reviews for this place. I guess the people leaving them are just entitled angry millennials. This is some of the best Thai food around here. Great place.
Lotte Hair Salon LLC
What to get:

-Full bar
Tips:
-Parking is tricky if you don't live within the neighborhood
Jeff Lee
Good thai food and good vibes, service is good and servers are kind. Crispy garlic chicken is MONEY. Does not disappoint.
Ra WestcoastRA
Nice environment, beautiful atmosphere as well! 5 stars
Yoav Koursh
Great food, but very spicy, plus they have a robot waiter 🤖
Wayne Balsiger
Nice place with consistent cooking. 2 page menu with good selection and dishes I have not seen at other Thai restaurants.
Bhanu Sharma
Good food and great service.
Eduardo Cruz Hernandez
Attentive staff, delicious food, and a clean restaurant made my most recent visit a pleasant one. Thank you for the friendly service!
Arugula & Rocket
Authentic Thai food at a good price. Great atmosphere, attentive service, awesome food and fresh leaf tea - what more could you ask for?!!
Norbert Wangsa-Wirawan
Great Thai restaurant with nice ambient, friendly service, and more importantly yummy food that doesn't hurt your wallet. Full bar and many options in the menu.
Morgan O'Connell
I love the crispy garlic chicken. All staff is friendly and this restaurant has a good atmosphere.
Adam Wunsch
Very good thai food. Service was nice and food came out fast. Dessert menu was amazing.
A S
The staff was friendly and helpful, but the portions were small and only ok. Somewhat disappointing. Everything was very fancy except the food /:
DHG !!!
Taste was good. There were more potatoes than Tofu in the curry so one less star for that.
Nick Zeigler
Excellent food, excellent service, lovely ambiance. It is on the sweeter spectrum of Thai food, but well executed.
Brian Westbay
Fantastic decor, sweet vibes, creative cocktails, generous portions, great service!
Abram Thau
The decor is really warm and welcoming, and the food it OUTSTANDING. SERIOUSLY. Get the garlic crispy chicken, it's unbelievable.
Akshay Ram
Yummy red curry with tofu, brown rice and Thai iced tea. Spice level 5 was medium hot.
Astro Nautical
We liked it. Clean beautiful restaurant with lots of great artwork. The food was very good, service was good too.
Chris Gatley
Solid Thai standards but the cocktail menu is great. Try the old fashioned served in a smoke bowl.
Kellen Barfield
Asthetic is nice but food was bland and over priced.
Carlos Beltre
Very good food for a reasonable price, great atmosphere and staff is very friendly. Good flavors and quick service
Emi
Really good Thai food! They use real tamarind. The seats in the booths are really comfortable too!
Chin Powit Rungsangthiwakorn
Nice thai food in a good neighbourhood.
Nick McClure
The best Thai restaurant I know of. I highly recommend the whiskey drinks and any food that contains the amazing pork belly!
Eddie Garrett
A fav place for Thai food. Looking forward to returning with my coworkers. The place has a good feel to it.
Charlie L
Solid Thai. Beef salad and they were able to sub tofu instead of pork belly for one of the pork belly dishes, lol. Still delish.
Malia Villani
good food. definitely pricey and not as many options at other places but I definitely would recommend coming here.
