Reviews of 8oz. Burger & Co

We had their signature 8oz burger. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare. And the toppings really feel like they come together. Highly recommend their side dishes: bacon, garlic broccolies, and the sweet potato tots. The truffle garlic fries could be better. But overall this is a good burger experience. Will definitely go there again.

One of the best burgers that I’ve ever had! The meat was cooked to perfection, and the toppings and selections made everything come together. At some point I will want to try their other burgers on the menu.
The side dishes weren’t on par though. I thought the truffle garlic fries, popcorn chicken, and fried string beans were all just ok at best. Honestly, I could have foregone the sides and order another burger instead.
The Espresso Oreo milkshake was good though!
Honestly great experience though. We ate in their outdoor dining area and the staff were all friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend going here if you’re in Ballard and are in the mood for a burger 🍔.

Great service, nice juicy burgers and really enjoyed the garlic fries and broccoli. I tried the Jackson burger (pictured) which vibes with bbq sauce charred onions and bacon. My brother tried the Pike which uses habanero jam-- be warned this is an incredibly spicy burger from a guy that likes spice, he says heed the warning of your server--it's REALLY hot! They also have vegetarian options and will sub out the bun in any burger as a lettuce wrap so there's really a little something for everyone to enjoy.

Super friendly staff and delicious foods. We let them know we were sharing appetizers and they split the portion into two separate dishes for us. Their burgers are delicious and well stacked.
Alex Nguyen
My 2nd time here and it’s one of my favorite burger spots in seattle. Love the quality of the food here, the burger isn’t messy, it fills you up, and the toppings such as the arugula and cheese make it amazing. The fries are super good too! Not too salty and is perfectly crispy.
A G
Great spot for a delicious grass fed burger. Craft cocktails and mule specials. My favorite is the garlic truffle fries. Lots of specialty sauces and toppings- all house made- to make a great custom burger too.
Jacob Camp
Amazing burgers, awesome ambiance, and great staff making a great gourmet dining experience! By far the best burgers I’ve ever had!!! The Classic, 8oz, Ballard are all awesome but the Pike is by far my favorite. The Pike (pictured) is mouthwatering tasty and the spice builds as you eat, leaving the last few bites where it is both delicious and hot. The Anaheim peppers and habanero build as you eat it, so you get a great full flavor profile but gives the heat right at the end. The beer selection is awesome (the Holy Mountain Witbier and Backwoods Lager are must haves imo) accompanied with great cocktail options. 8oz. Burger & Co is a must for burger fans and is serving up the best gourmet burgers around with a prime walkable location in Ballard. Thanks for all the great eats so far and to come!

This place knows their way around a burger. I had the pike burger which was cooked to the exact temperature I asked. It definitely has a kick if you like spicy! But the flavors all melted together beautifully and it was perfect with a side of their truffle garlic fries which were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and hot in the center. The drinks are also spot on. I had their old fashioned which was right on with the balance of flavors. The service was also very nice and everyone we interacted with was super friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Veronica Boe
Quick, friendly service. Burgers cooked perfectly. Truffle fries and onion rings were crisp and tasty. Arugula salad was yummy, too!
Aldo González Rubio
Good but not the best.
The service could definitely improve a lot.
Also consider seasoning better the meat, it was blend.
Other than that you're on a good path 👍

Loved loved loved my burger and my first experience here! The burgers are definitely the best thing on the menu so don’t expect too much from the side dishes like the truffle fries… I would just opt to regular fries to avoid the up charge and the disappointment. Anyway… back to my delicious burger… As I’m trying to remember the name it’s not on the menu online…?? Anyway… it had the thickets juiciest beef patty on a pretzel
Bun with peanut butter and fig jam.
My mind was blown and my taste buds just were loving this flavor combination of salty at first then as you consume the bread and the meat the after taste is a pleasant sweetness which brings me back to my childhood.
Matcha Nutella shake was delish also,,,,, but the burger… OMG!
Carlos Peralta
Great quality burgers and good cheesy fries. The place was smaller than excepted and they don’t take reservation. It’s more of sit down restaurant than an actual bar with music and bar (even though they do have a small bar that you can sit by yourself). They don’t have menus so you’ve got to scan it before picking your food. The experience could have been a little more smooth. Very young staff, lacking some experience.

Wait was pretty long since the place was so popular, and they didn't use about 3 or 4 tables they had available, I assume due to staffing reasons. My burger was horrendously messy, and the egg was way more cooked than I thought it'd be. It was okay, really, nothing amazing. Onions rings were good, and the meat poutine was kinda insane. $80 for me and my partner, but really, wasn't worth the money. Definitely think I'll be trying other places when I'm in the area.
Dan Sjolseth
I was expecting much more from reading the reviews and viewing the photos. The burgers were good but nothing special. The meat quality was high but the toppings were sparse and much less than warranted for a $17 burger. The Kennebec fries were excellent as was the Portlandia ketchup and mustard served.
Nigel Perry
I made an evening visit to this establishment and tried the classic burger. Solid option. Burger was good, toppings were good (and tasted fresh) and the bun was good. A little on the pricey side for a burger but I think this is a place that rarely misses on burgers.
Assaf Rutenberg
Great burger with inventive topping choices. Also, a very tasty strawberry milkshake. Good, but slow and a bit overwhelmed, service. A good option for families with kids.
Ben Jams
Well worth it. Got the 8 oz burger and the truffle garlic fries as you should and it was definitely an experience. This aint a casual burger so make sure you're hungry and ready to eat so much you're going to hate yourself. I'd probably need some time before I come back here again but i definitely will. Just make sure you have extra napkins and a cold beer to wash it down.
Katie Hirthler
Burgers were good (especially the veggie burger) but the onion rings were so gross that after a couple bites my partner felt too sick to finish his burger. The fries were nothing special either, especially considering that you have to pay extra for them.
Chyotsuba Koiwai
Love this place! The burgers are so juicy and yummy and fries are great as well. You can enjoy local beers on tap like Fremont and Stoup Brewing IPAs. If you’re looking for a place to grab a burger for dinner late night, this place is the right choice. It’s an happy hour after 9 PM, so you can save some bucks. It also has a great atmosphere. Hope you enjoy your meal and have a wonderful time here with your loved ones! :)
Sarah M
Great selection of burgers, large portions! Highly recommend trying one of their unique burgers, like the one with peanut butter and fig. This is a fun spot for a date, or a dinner with friends or family. Love this location, it's easy to explore more of Ballard from here.
Peter Thoreau
The best burger in Seattle! No seriously, they are. Together with a good selection of local beer and great shakes, 8oz is an absolute must. The number of options on the custom burger menu lets you make anything your heart desires. Or just get the fantastic Classic or 8oz. You won’t regret going here.
Kay Lee
Delicious food, but definitely on the pricier end. The happy hour menu made their food normal pricing. For $17, I'd expect my burger to come with a side of fries, but it was just the burger. Everything we got was scrumptious and perfectly made. The poutine with added braised short rib was probably my favorite thing we got. It was almost filling enough to be a meal in itself. The mac and cheese had a lot of cinnamon added which I wasn't a fan of, but my fiance and nephews seemed to love it. Overall, this place has a chic atmosphere, great food, and good service.
W. White
Very good food and friendly service. We enjoy the selection of ciders and the various Daily Special Drink. Sometimes the special with fries can be a great way to save cost. I've eaten here several times and I enjoy each visit.
Manuel J Gomez
Loved the atmosphere and the theme of a barn. Very interesting decor.
The happy hour was great and enjoyed the 8 oz. Burger with fries. Very tasty especially when paired with a beer if your choice.
I would recommend going.

This place was recommended to us by a local and so glad it was. Best burger of my life (well turkey burger) I had the 8oz and the truffle..OMG, SO GOOD. Husband had the Classic add serrano chiles and he said it was delicious. We split onion rings. I thought they were a bit greasy but he loved them. He had his Hazelicious which has become his favorite beer while in Seattle. Place is cute. Patio nice outside. Definitely recommend for a quick dinner while touristing around Ballard
Jesi Vega
The burger was delicious but the wait was awkward because they're only serving take out right now and we ordered online from outside but then they never called our name to let us know our order was ready. Otherwise, it's great to be able to custom design your burger and get it exactly the way you like it.
Anastasiya Shevchenko
One of the best burgers in Seattle! If you don't eat beef, try chicken sammy or fish burger. Bonus points for Portland Ketchup
Nicolás Sacheri
Really good burgers. If you go after 9 pm, there's happy hour and a special price for the 8oz burger.
Try it!
Jacob Vandenburg
I cannot believe how amazing there food here is! Everything we have tried has been delicious and their service is also great! Anytime you’re in the area you’re taste buds would greatly thank you if you stopped in here and got something to eat.
Julie Stokes
Always love going to 8oz. I ordered the featured burger, Smashed Avocado, it was SO good! I'm not one to usually order the featured burger, I stick to building my own burger, which is why I love their menu. Burger was cooked perfectly and they are consistent, whether I go to Cap Hill or Ballard location.
Krystal Kanh
Everything is A La Carte, so building a typical burger meal will be on the pricier side than what you're used to paying for burgers. All in all, it was delicious. We tried the poutine, brussel sprouts, The Pike, and The Fondue. Do not leave without the poutine.
Hannelore Ohaus
If you come here during dinner time on the weekends, it will be busy, but it's worth waiting to get a seat and service is fast once you're seated. The burgers are juicy and flavorful, with plenty of variations for everyone. But the real winners are the milkshakes (either with or without alcohol). The shakes are perfect, unique, and super thick, the way a milkshake should be.
Joyful
Grass Fed Burgers. Cooked to order. Lunch Special Classic Burger with FF for $10 a great deal. Busy at lunch, but you can still get a seat and get out timely.
Burger was cooked as requested. Unfortunately, no matter how you try to tackle this burger, it's just too big to eat without a fork and knife. Very messy. The burger slides out the bun. Fries were fresh, but not much flavor.
Server. Alana was super. Appreciate her great attitude and service. Cool little place, seems like street parking is the only choice. But it's in a walkable location and bus stops close.
aratrika akhter
Pretty good burgers. I specially liked the feature of building your own burger. The habanero jam jas a nice kick to it. I wasn't a fan of the onion rings.
Brooke
Nice burgers, juicy with pickles and squishy buns :) Perfectly cooked. Good happy hour selections both traditional and reverse/ late happy hour. $2.50 sliders, $6 poutine, nice size for the price Brussels sprouts (delish) and shishito peppers. Now open for lunch- $10 lunch special burger and fries. Nice bar, casual atmosphere.
Mallori Hass
Love this place so much! Burgers are beautiful and tasty. Very unique ingredients and combinations. Also, observant bartender waited for me to finish chewing before she asked how my food was. Good on her.
J Procick
Amazing service and amazing food! A must stop and will be back for sure. I can't stress enough that the garli aoili is to die for on your burger! We even had a milkshake and that was the perfect compliment to the end of our meal. If you want a great burger and you are in the Ballard area then I suggest you stop and give them a chance!
Alex Bernauer
An absolutely fantastic burger. I had The 8oz. Signature Burger which has arugula, balsamic onions, bacon and chedder. It was excellent and the other burgers on their menu (especially The Union and The Jackson) sound great as well. I would definitely return if I make it back to Seattle at some point.
Bobby Ball
Really delicious burgers, fries, and shakes. Their burgers are always perfectly cooked, and their options for build-your-own are pretty extensive. Even if the more out there burgers aren't your thing, you can make anything you'd like. Their PB&J shake is amazing. All in all, a great spot.
Ivana Thng
Their nutella matcha shake is amazing!! As are the IPA battered onion rings, which shatter when you bite into them.
Erving Brock Lerma
The food here is so good. Nice environment with great draft options. The habenero sauce is spicy!
Louis DeTulleo (DoctorLou)
OK burgers. Overpriced for what you get. Red Mill is a much better value and they have awesome onion rings.
Alex Boyer
Hands down, one of the best veggie burgers I've had the pleasure of sampling in my short time in Seattle. The texture was so spot on to what I prefer. Loved the service too, shout out to David!
Harshil Shah
I ordered a veggie burger and it was good. If it was a little more spicy and tangy (though I asked them to remove tomatoes) it would have been a great burger. The pattie was really good. Bun was a bit smaller and even before I started to eat, the content was slipping out. It was messy to eat the whole burger but I had fun. The garlic fries were also great but broken in small pieces so even though taste was good, it was no fun. My brother ordered the pike burger and it was really really spicy. We are used to spicy food but this was so spicy, we had to have a dessert afterwards. Service was amazing. Ambiance was wonderful. So overall, 4* it is.
Oman Philly
The ^Classic Burger^ we ordered was super delicious. The waitresses were so friendly. The restaurant had cool decorations. Again, the burger was delicious.
Levi Wasmundt
I've gone here over a dozen times over the last few years. It is my go to place when I'm craving a gourmet burger. My favorite burger in Seattle, very juicy and full of flavor. They have gluten free buns available. Their fries are in the thin/crispy category. They are on the pricey side for sure, but if you visit during happy hour you will save a few bucks. They have a nice selection of house cocktails and Ranier tall boys for about $3. Also wine and local beer on tap. The atmosphere is neat, it's barn yard themed. My one and only complaint is they don't have heintz ketchup. They have the Portland ketchup company (or whatever it's called). I'm sure lots of people prefer this ketchup, but I'm more a heintz guy.
Brett Worrall
The best fried chicken sandwich you can get... especially nice with the pretzel bun. A very good kale cesar salad, too. Lots of other options for vegetarians & meat eaters alike.
Cat
Always have loved 8oz and this was my first visit since 2020. Everything tasted just as amazing as I remembered and the staff was so patient with our rowdy group of 8. The best part was my group admitting that 8oz lived up to expectations after me hyping it up for years.
Sean Cohen
Fantastic/Unique appetizers and sides! Very solid burgers, and great service.
Robert Palmer
Friendly service. Great burgers. Strawberry shake was amazing.
Tracy Cambron
I'm a huge fan of great Seattle burgers, and I keep a list of places to send friends and visitors. I love 8 oz, great comfy atmosphere and the burgers are outstanding. I like the house '8 oz. Burger' that comes with bacon, Beecher's cheddar and arugula. Get the truffled garlic fries to go with.
Brian Scroggs
My wife and I consider this the best burger place in Seattle after having numerous tryouts for other establishments. The blend is delicious and the flavors combinations unique enough to not be boring, but not over the top and in your face like some places. Highly recommended.
Herakles Li
Great burgers, and some of the best onion rings I've had the pleasure of eating. Perfectly crisp and the breading doesn't just crumb off. It's a bit on the pricier side but the beef is definitely a step up.
BayArea AZ
My girlfriend wanted a REALLY good burger so we Googled it and this was close by. WOW! This places burgers are amazing and definitely can taste the difference on the really good beef they use! Delicious! And definitely will come back!
Nancy Tingley
Absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered off the menu was fantastic: matcha Nutella shake, brussels sprouts, 8 oz burger, popcorn chicken, poutine fries... I'm salivating just thinking about them!
tetiana danylchenko
I like 8 Oz., their burgers never disappoint! Also delicious milkshakes! Stop by! You will enjoy this place for sure it you like a good burger!
Kelli Hein
Pretty positive that the burger I got from here was the best I've ever eaten. Definitely need to save room for it though, my husband and I plan on going for a big hike right before we go here again!!
Aleksandr Semenkov
This is probably one of my favorite burger restaurant in the city, the food was so good, the service was excellent,I liked caesar salat tasted unusual.
Alex Brown
If you have yet to go here, do yourself a favor or and make it your next stop. By far the best burger I've ever had (specifically "the 8oz"). The sides are all delicious, staff is great, but really, you need to just show up and order "The 8oz."
Rik Schutte
This place makes a damn fine burger, but the price is formidable. $15 will get you a burger sans sides. Sides average an additional $8-10. It adds up quick. None the less I do recommend it if you like good quality burgers.
Philippe Siruno
I have always been a fan of their gourmet burgers. I don't usually like vegetables on my burger, but they nail it with the flavoring. Their fries also have a nice crisp. Give their burgers a try. You won't be disappointed
Kelsey Stafford
These burgers are DELICIOUS!!! Yoh can tell their care about where they source their beef from!! Extremely fresh and flavorful! Best burgers I've had since living in the Colorado. Great portions as well. Their menu is well thought out and the staff dedication is inspiring for the area!
Jake Kochiss
Great atmosphere! Burger was very good. The popcorn chicken were good as well, but I wish they had more crunch.
Kristen Verberne
Best burgers in Seattle! Stop by here for a burger and you won't be disappointed. They also have a great selection of bourbon and rye.
Nabil Zeineh
Great burger place. Outside seating is available at the Ballard location. Appropriately priced .
Felicia
Had the 8oz burger plus fries. It was so good! Best burger in Seattle, no joke.
It used to be that you could get it cooked to your preferred temperature, but with COVID they aren't doing that anymore-burgers are cooked to medium well. I was worried it wouldn't taste as good as before, but it still tasted just as good as I remember.
Olivia W
YUM. If you want the best burger in Seattle, I think this might just be the spot. I have had the basic burger and it is exactly what you want on a burger. So consistently delicious! I have only had it as take-out, but look forward to a dine-in experience eventually to review the service and atmosphere as well. Would highly recommend!
dbznz
The best burgers I have ever found. I have taken many people here for celebrations or just good times with friends and even celebrated my 8 year anniversary here a year before I proposed to my fiancee. Everyone is always happy. Seriously every ingredient they use goes so well with the over all meal it just creates an experience. Can't wait for the government to drop this wuhan virus narrative so I can enjoy dining in again. Keep up the good work and thank you!
Charles Janovick
The burgers are fantastic. I've tried them all at this point and I have enjoyed every one. Don't forget to try the sweet potato tots with the curry sauce. May as well have a shake to top it all off.
Casey Klaus
Every single burger is delicious. No joke. I love the Fondue, the Hill, the Madison. My partner loves the pain of the Pike every single time! The sweet potato tots and truffle garlic fries are the best classic sides.
Iker E.
Really good burgers! The buns are ideal, perfect combination of fluffiness and crispiness. Meat is thick and juice. The restaurant has an amazing vibe if you are in for a couple of beers. I really like the Madison Burger, definitely in for a treat. Price is reasonable overall.
Aaron Gibbs
Really good food and burgers with great staff and good atmosphere. One star off because I feel the short rib poutine is definitely on the expensive side, especially for the portion size. It is very tasty though. Can't go wrong eating here.
Penelope Landon
I've tried many burger places in Seattle, some 'gourmet' burger places too; none are as tasty and satisfying as 8 oz. Such fresh meat and great brioche buns. I just get a plain burger with arugula most times, I'm a fan of great quality meat on a great quality bun.
Ed Willis
Great burger and service!
The Brussel sprouts are also amazing!
Audrey Elizabeth
I love this place. Every burger we've had has been incredible- the flavor profiles are so rich and satisfying, there doesn't seem to be anything missing. My favorites are probably the fondue and the union, but I've had almost all by now and enjoyed every single one nearly as much. The prices really aren't that extreme, I've been to much more mediocre places with the same prices for their food. The burgers do not come with sides, but I don't honestly feel like you need anything as the burger itself is filling. We occasionally split a side though so if you really want one I recommend the broccolini or the garlic fries. The only cons for me are the fact that the beer selection (specifically the IPA selection) doesn't rotate often enough, and I wish the water was iced and in a standard glass rather than an odd little jar. Small complaints though, and the burgers are more than enough to keep me coming back.
*i would like to add one more thing- the burgers are usually cooked medium. Ask for it cooked more if you want more, but trust me, this is good quality ground meat and it is totally fine to eat medium, and tastes great that way.
John Erickson
They're offering both online and phone orders during covid-19 restrictions. No on-site seating, but the takeaway service us working out really well. They're well organized and quick to have things off.
The burgers are all cooked medium-well right now. However they still taste great. The biggest compromise is that the fries are pretty poor right now.
Casey Waldren
8oz is usually good, but sometimes it is excellent. Those times justify the price tag.
Specifically: the onion ring dough is a few cuts above the rest, and the mac & cheese's hint of cinnamon is addicting. The burgers vary in quality, sometimes bare-bones on the toppings, other times loaded with everything and 100% delicious.
The popcorn chicken and milkshakes are consistently great.
Denise Zbozny
Appreciate the safe set-up for orders and pick-up during COVID-19 pandemic. I am absolutely crazy about their onion rings! I think these are the best I've ever had. Good house-made veggie burger, which includes avocado. I would ask for the avocado on the side and add it to the burger when ready to eat. Otherwise, I find it makes the burger a bit mushy.
Keyth Sokol
I really like this place. I've been twice, and both times the service was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Their burgers are fantastic, and if you want (all wait for the collective gasp of aghastness) a lettuce wrap instead of bread, they actually fashion the lettuce into two separate bun-like pieces so you can hold the burger as you would with buns. They prove that Ballard doesn't always have to equal Pretense. They're down-to-Earth, not ridiculously priced and have a great atmosphere. Give them a try.
Josey
They have had a fantastic COVID takeout system, a great online ordering system, and the staff are always super nice! Everything is great, but I am partial to their veggie burger (vegan and it has lots o good stuff like lentils, rice, nice and salty)! They’re truffle garlic fries have always been amazing...so much garlic ❤️
Josef Eckert
Terrific burger. Really enjoyed the variety of cocktails. I especially liked the burger with the habanero jam. I can't pass that stuff up! Fries were also delicious, and remnant of In N Out fries with an extra touch of love. All in all, great burger place. Probably our new favorite.
Ann
Great food, friendly staff! Tried the special "Bibimbap Burger" that was excellent. Great place to hang out with friends.
Ian Fink
Prices aren't the best, I mean $9 for a soda...really? But the food was delicious and the people working there are nice too.
Mathew Markert
I've eaten here a handful of times, and the food has always been great. The premade burger options are all delicious, and the sides are worth it. The flavored Mules they do are alright, but the house mule itself is really great. Awesome selection of beers on tap. The staff have always been super friendly, helpful, and fun to talk with.
Michaela Dayco
The burger was tasty, but this burger joint might have been a bit too overpriced. Our bill (before tip) was $55 for lunch and for two people only. While my burger was good, I don't think the flavor justified the price; it wasn't necessarily a bold and innovative burger. It was just good.
On another note, the ambience is really nice and the service is great.
Shannon McDonnell
Delicious burgers in a great atmosphere! I ordered the Ballard Ave and it was amazing! The pretzel bun, the fig jam, and the cinnamon peanut butter were a whirlwind of flavors that tied together beautifully. My friends ordered regular burgers with garlic fries and chocolate milk shakes and said they were great.
Jo Pa
Fantastic burgers with my specific favorite being the "Madison", with an addition of gorgonzola cheese.
It seems like it would be fairly easy to make really savory burgers with a simple seasoning that's also cooked well, but I would argue it's far from that once you get to try how 8 oz. can elevate a burger.
Solid attention to the ingredients and cooking methods, plus the variations of bun options is top notch, and allows my GF friend to enjoy the glory while I smash a mouth watering pretzel-bunned "Madison". Oh, don't forget that gorgonzola!
I haven't tried any of the sides except truffle fries, but they're amazing and pair well with their classic burger or any other selection.
Mike Cook
Ordered burgers. Found all very tasty.
Onion rings were thick and scrumptious.
Ordered truffle fries as a side as well. Very good. The curry aioli was a hit as well.
The brioche buns were just right for these burgers.
Gargonzola burger, Jackson burger and Hillburger were all hits.
sifat kalam
Burgers are really tasty. We went there couple of times, food was good on both occasions. We had The Pike and beef sliders. Pike burger I would rate as 5/5, one of the best burgers, I have had. Their Nutella green tea milk shake is yummy too. Highly recommend burger place to go.
Nurşen Öğütveren
This place has great burgers and a fun atmosphere. They are quite versatile and even have sides like asparagus if you are watching carbs, though mine were over salted so you may want to ask them to take it easy on the salt. There was a great selection of milkshakes here and they served drinks on Mason jars. The whole place is really cute with wood panelling and floors and nice decorating of a western theme without being cheesy. Definitely worth a visit.
Greg Poe
Great value! And great food. The atmosphere was also perfect, even for date night.
The burgers are all very different, but I haven't had anything less than delicious. This is a restaurant you'll want to go to several times.
Damon Pistulka
I have eaten at 8oz burger a few times. I really like the way they make the patties. Plenty of flavor options and other options for people not eating a burger. Great lunch specials. Burgers are cooked to order so you can get it done like you want.
Scott Lindberg
Not your standard burger fare. Amazing! Really great flavors, exceptional ingredients, and interesting combinations. Service has always been good, and right in the middle of all the interesting stuff in Ballard. Definitely worth a visit!
Steve Hardy
Unique food stop with great beer. Came here to meet an old friend. Had a Pike burger with fries. Tarter sauce was interesting as it had some type of a smoky taste to it, but enjoyable. Burger was solid and not one which was so greasy, I could but it down, eat something else, then come back later too. Beer was awesome with a wide selection. We tried the Alpine pilsner and it was great.
If you happen to like sweet potatoes, they have tater tots sprinkled with cinnamon. I dont like sweet potatoes but it was good tasting with no complaints. Check this place out when your hanging in Ballard, it will not disappoint.
Jacob Braghini
I went for the 8 oz Burger and it left me wanting. Food quality was fine. Service was fine. Just didn't do it for me.
We got the PBJ shake and it got me hopeful. Fries were good. I've just had other better burgers around Seattle. Just a no from me.
Grace B
Decent happy hour specials, high quality food, great vegetarian options including house made veggie burger, nice beer selection, great outdoor patio and open window seating.
Zachary
A strong contender for Seattle's best burger! Right in the name, you can expect to get a truly massive patty topped with all sorts of interesting cheese, sauce, and vegetable options. They have good shakes and fries as well. Be aware that the menus at the Ballard location and the Capitol Hill location are slightly different.
Ginna Wall
Oh how I miss going inside and sitting down and being served by the charming waitstaff!
My favorite burger was “The Madison,” with its touch of melted gruyere, plus watercress, tomato, ale-roasted mushrooms, charred onions, thyme-infused truffle salt, and herb aioli. The mix of flavors is fantastic! Don’t be turned off by the name of this restaurant if you’re not a big meat-lover, or if you don’t eat wheat or dairy. You can substitute a veggie burger. You can ask for a lettuce bun (slices of iceberg cut to function like a bun in your hands). The staff seems completely comfortable with special orders.
We love to split “The Wedge:” a large serving of iceberg lettuce topped with gorgonzola dressing, gorgonzola crumbles, candied bacon crumbles, and balsamic onion. Yum! If the staff hears that you plan to split it, without being asked, they lovingly divide it onto two plates and bring them to your table—at no extra charge!
We’ve had takeout from here 3-4 times in the past year. I look forward to being able to go in and sit down when this pandemic is over.
Sun Kim
Juicy patties, tasty burgers and Portland ketchup to go with fries. What more can you ask for?
Angie Tucker
I'm from the Midwest where prices are reasonable. $40 for two burgers, one order of fries, 1 water and 1beer was high compared to Ohio.
Brad W
Best hand packed burger in Seattle IMHO.

I had the classic burger and it just didn't have that zing from a burger. Real fancy and great ingredients, but the flavor just wasn't there for me.
I'll be going again and getting a different burger and see if the signature fits my likings better :)
Kyle McCausland
8oz burger and Co is up in my top 5 for having the best burger in Seattle. The patties are well seasoned and cheese and topping pairings all add up to a delicious experience. Main thing I hated was their chic attempt at water glasses, they have too small of a mouth to drink out of or pour into; it was super annoying to me. They also have diamond knot root beer that was fantastic.
Hal Carleton
Burgers are not great, but good for the area.
Melinda Issakov
Yummy juicy burgers, local beers, helpful staff, nice set up inside. We went on a weekend which was busy but not too busy we were seated within 5 minutes. Was fairly noisy which is good when you have young kids in case they decide to cry! Kids were catered for with coloring supplies and a kids menu. Great spot for families!
Tony Clark
Great tasting burger but overpriced IMO and they are getting stingier on the expensive ingredients. Had a truffle burger "the Madison" I believe. Tasted absolutely no truffle flavor. My milkshake came out in a much smaller glass than my wife's. When I pointed it out the waitress just looked at it and said, "yeah, that's not right". I don't need a huge milkshake but when you're paying ten dollars for one I'd expect more than a small 6 oz mug, especially when they admittedly made a mistake.
We went here when they first opened and was much better. They gave you the extra shake in that metal thing they make it in, and I could actually taste the truffle in the burger. Times must be tough for them to start skimping on ingredients.
Brian Walker
Probably my favorite Gourmet burgers in town i.e. I put these on a different level than nearby burger counters or chains. High quality ingredients, the burger of the month is always mouth-watering. Appetizers are good, especially if you get them on HH (also beer and wine specials). Truffle fries are delightful, but garlicky. They also have a full bar and TVs if you're wanting to watch a game. As far as seating, I've never had to wait, they do have a patio and the staff are always friendly.
Elliot Keder
Great burgers at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend the signature 8oz burger or the fondue burger if you're feeling especially cheesy. Good list of draft beer as well.
Chic but casual atmosphere. Expect a small-to-moderate wait time around dinner.
Sydney Safley
Quite possibly the best burger I've had. Go with the classic 8 Oz. Burger. Regular menu prices are steeper than what I'm generally willing to pay for a burger, but these are just mouthwatering. The happy hour menu certainly makes the 8 Oz. Burger price well worth it though.
Chase Jensen
Great wait staff! Great beers on tap! Every burger on the menu is worth trying at least once--I can't even pick a favorite. Pair a burger with the tater tots--served with house tot sauce. Amazing!
Aaron Henderson
Really great food in a warm, woody atmosphere. We actually visited both 8oz. locations, but think they're both equally great. There are options that seem to cater to a number of tastes. Presentation and plating here are noteworthy. The cocktails were worth exploring at both locations (each had a unique drink menu). Friendly service made for a great meal experience!
Harli Bales
the food was absolutely AMAAAAAAZZZING OMG I'm going to be dreaming about the hill burger
Ritu K. Coleman
When assessing the individual components of the burger, everything was cooked well and the bread was nice a soft. However, the burger as a whole was overly sweet and not savory. If you are craving a big juicy burger, this may not be the place for you. Though the burger looks beautiful, the taste just isn't there and I left unsatisfied.
Garrett Berkey
Yes, this is the best place to get a burger in Seattle. All the bad reviews hard to read because they are so wrong. The lines are long and the prices are high but it's worth it everytime. The veggie burger is one of the best I have had in Seattle. Again it's pricey and may be a long wait, but worth it.
Paul Wiens
Best ketchup ever! Seriously, Portland ketchup is amazing but also they have great burgers. The Pike is my favorite and every single time I've been her it was cooked properly and tasted great. The garlic fries are a great delivery mechanism for the ketchup. Seriously, try the ketchup. Really.
No Go
Friendly staff, big juicy and tasty burgers, decent fries, and a very nice ambiance. Definitely a cozy and comforting place to sit down and have a nice burger. The only things that wasn't the greatest was the price of the bill for two. But never the less it was worth it.
Dr. Bomb
The staff was super nice AND organized. I know it's kind of weird thing to think is cool, but they have a sliding wooden door for the bathroom.
corvicore
delicious burgers !! would recommend The Madison and the strawberry milkshake.
Autumn Scroggs
My husband and I went on a burger tour trying to find the best burger in Seattle. Though we have not tried every burger this great City has to offer, we have tried many. This is our favorite burger place, hands down. We tried their house 8oz burger for a baseline of what they have to offer and it was superb! It has the perfect amount of truffle aoili. We also got the sweet potato tots with curry aoili, those where amazing... The perfect combination of flavors. We will have to go back and get one of their inventive combination burgers... Like the peanut butter burger. If you like burgers, 8oz burger is an absolute must, whether you are visiting Seattle, new to this City, or rediscovering the greatness Seattle has to offer. You will not be disappointed.
Bree Jenn
Hands down the best burger of my life. The Pike is wonderfully spicy, which is great to experience since most burger places “hot” burger isn’t that spicy at all. The 8 oz is soooo good. I wish the garlic fries were more garlicy but they were still amazing. Will definitely be back.
Chris Topher
Damn good. This place is very inviting and the service is always good. I usually sit at the bar because i live up the street. While I don't get too wild, I have always found my burgers perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and a perfect bun. If you are looking for a great burger, you won't be disappointed.
moran may-rom
Service was great. The burger was nice but it is not vegan bun. For lettes as bun you need to pay extra dollar what I think it is bs. The fries was fine. I came out when I am still hungry. The chairs their rock solid so if you are lean like me it going to be super uncomfortable to sit there.
Ashley Kernes
I had the chicken sandwich and French fries. It's very apparent that a lot of thought went into the way they prepare their food. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. All I can say is yum. Can't wait to go back. The service and staff were all friendly and attentive.
Jeff Schrader
Located at the west end of the business district. The burgers are in fact 8 ounces and are cooked to order. Medium here is the classic way with it being pink in the middle. Served on good sized buns, or you can get specials that have no bun - I had one on my last visit that was a burger rendition of the Korean dish Bi Bim Bap, served over rice. Good selection of beverages, alcoholic and otherwise. The outdoor patio allows for good seating in the summer. A nice place to go if you want a different burger experience.
Alexander Fratini
Alright people settle down - I know the suspense is killing you so I’m here to tell you that the hype of this burger joint is true, they deliver an excellent, no , an outstanding burger. I went with thee ol’ classic burg with American cheese. It came dressed to impress over a golden brioche bun covered in some secret “fancy sauce” - wow what a time to be alive. What better way to wash it down then with a classic Coke and some fresh garlic fries. Come on people, don’t drag your feet, get to 8 oz Burger & Co and live a little.
Ben Collins
Great burgers but pricey. Gluten-free buns available and they stay together. A little shocked by $2 add in for gluten free and $5 for buffalo - a $20 burger that doesn't include fries will keep me from making this a regular affair.
Barry Broman
Possibly the best burger that I have ever had. Definitely top three. I take everyone I know here and they are always blown away, quickly followed by food coma. I have yet to have anything here that isn't beyond delicious. Skip the lunchbox and go to a place where they care about their food. This place is incredible.
Chris Barfuss
It should mean something when a born and raised Idaho native says that the fries here were perfect all the way down to the seasoning. My burger was cooked to order and tasted great, and my wife's heaping portion of popcorn chicken was nicely crisp and had a lovely touch of spice in the batter. If we ever return to Seattle, we'll make it a point to come back k
Heidi la
Best burgers in seattle hands down! My favorite is the 8 oz. Order a side of garlic aioli to dip your french fries in! It's not on the menu I think and it tastes amazing!!
m3 brews
superb burger! all the flavors melt well together. it is rightly pricy due to the neigbborhood and current 2018 trends. the bartender/server was extremely polite. for truth, they did mess up my order (wrong burger) but that was okay. they took care of me and i will surely try them again!
Joshua J Swore
I mean the burger patty itself is amazing. Might be the best ive had at any restaurant. If you're looking for a unique burger this is probably the spot to get one. But if you're looking for classic toppings then I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Personally I'm not a fan of arugula or jams on my burger. I like bacon BBQ or plain cheese onions lettuce and tomato. Maybe throw an egg on there! Mmmmmm. If 8oz wanted to i believe they could make these "classic" style burgers the best. But they don't make them so that's why I give it a 3. But if your feeling like trying something new give it a shot. You might love it. Worth a shot!
Sarah George
Ordered the veggie burger and onion rings. Their house made veggie burger was flavorful, but a little mushy. The onion rings are the BEST! Would go back just for those.
Katy Vanston
We continuously come back here regularly. The burgers are the best and the sides are amazing; the sweet potatoe tots with curry aioli and cinnamon mac n' cheese are our faves. All the burgers are great, family friendly, highly recommended.
Toni Gilbert
I went to the Ballard location and it's a nice patio in front and the building has big windows the can open (for summer visitors). The burgers are on point! I also had the brussel sprouts they are real tasty. I couldnt eat it all.
Kim Peterson
Their late night happy hour (9pm to close) is one of my favorites. They have delicious burgers; I love the sliders at happy hour (good for a small bite). The sides are all pretty good, too.
Brenda Taylor
I LOVE this place. It is the go-to spot for my boyfriend and I when we want delicious ramen. I love the veggie ramen and their pork broth is one of the best I've ever had. The brussel sprouts are also delish. It's hard to get sprouts right but theirs is so tasty and crunchy and the butter sauce is to die for. I always get beer with my ramen. I've tried other things on the menu and they were just as great! The crispy rice is also amazing. They do charge for substitutions. The place is always packed but definitely worth the wait!
Chad T
Best burgers that are made from unique recipes. Mix up with seating us caused us to wait 30 minutes before I asked if we were supposed to order at the bar. Other service was fine and food was great. I'll be back.
Roya Toloui
It was Soo yummy.
I had a mushroom cheese burger wrapped in letus. I thought I was gonna be hungry but it was delicious and filling. The French fries were really delicious too.
We had a wonderful time and service was just as good as their food.
Zleepy Girl
We order burgers and tots from here on uber and the price is always above $30 for delivery but I always have leftovers with the tots and their burgers are great! Come here for a good local burger and fast service
Sierra Bingham
Best burgers I've ever had in my life! And garlic fries. Oh, and I won't forget the amazing draft beer selection.
I would be forever grateful if you open a shop closer to lakewood 😉 …
Ursula Dago
We went to 8 oz. Burger for lunch today and it was our first time. We usually opt for Woody's and decided to try something a bit nicer.
The server was less than enthusiastic to be working, and his greeting was little more than "The menu is pretty straightforward, burgers are on the right". He could have at least informed us of the featured burger, since the description is not on the menu but on a chalkboard inside (we were on the patio, and only saw the board inside after we were done-- it sounded delicious). When he asked me what temperature I wanted my burger cooked & said "medium is pink all the way through", I answered "medium flirting with med-rare"...which completely stumped him-- he actually had no verbal response & only a perplexed expression. Seeing such a troubled reaction and not wanting to complicate the issue further for him, I told him not to worry Medium is fine. Not only was his categorization of "medium is pink all the way through" wrong, but my burger came out well-done. He also let us know that we can substitute items for any listed on the back, but failed to mention any upcharge when my boyfriend chose to substitute a veggie patty. +$1 by no means breaks the bank, but it's the principle. I've been serving for 9 years-- I recognize that lunch is not the most enthusiastic shift but the very least that a server can do, literally the main job duties of food service-- is to be inviting to your guests (especially on a slow day when every table is a bigger percentage of your tips!) and to give them accurate information (especially of what the featured special not listed on the menu is!). I'd rather choose Woody's next time, spare the trouble, and be satisfied with the service delivered. The impression of the food was not enough to overcome the impression of the service. Eating out is a treat for most people, no matter how fancy or not the restaurant selection is. Guests should always be treated with enthusiasm and appreciation because their patronage is what provides income for not just one server, but the whole team of employees & ultimately the longevity of the restuarant.
Leonor Martinez
One of the best burgers in Seattle. Thick and tasty meat.
Fair price
Robert Weischedel
I have been here twice now and both times the burgers were amazing! They are juicy and cooked to perfection. I will definitley be coming back in the future. Make sure to try the sweet potato tots!
Melissa Ragnos
Stopped by Skal for a beer and wound up wandering over to 8 oz Burger for dinner. Best decision of the weekend. The burgers were great, the kimchi eggs were fabulous, the Diamond Knot root beer was tasty. Staff was friendly and attentive (good with allergy concerns) and the bathroom was clean. Bonus points for a Pokestop within reach of the table.
craig threlkeld
They're fine, but for the price point, nothing special.
Excellent and efficient servers, decent beer selection.
The two apps we had, shiso peppers and Brussels sprouts, were substantial portions but poorly handled. The peppers needed a hotter pan, and a large grain salt would have been far more satisfying than the sauce it was served with, which mostly slipped off the oil-slick peppers. Ultimately the sauce was an unnecessary addition, rather than a compliment to them.
Blanch your sprouts. Chewy, mostly raw, drastically under-seasoned. I'm sure my lower intestines were pleased.
The burger was okay; good bun, though it wasn't substantial enough to survive through the whole meal.
Rather densely packed patty, cooked slightly short of medium, as I requested.
I like blue cheese, which is fortunate as that's the only flavor that sticks with me. Was there bacon? I assume there was. All I tasted was blue cheese.
Decent fries. Kennebecks, great, swell. Always fun to drop a word or name on a menu that most people won't understand. Makes the product seem special, or it forces the uninitiated to keep their opinions to themselves, for fear of being seen as being provincial.
If they are so damned expensive that you only get about 3 ounces in your ala carte order, why bother? They really are not that special.
Rather twee. Their executive chef is overpaid for the product delivered. Maybe their talents are more in P.R. than recipe development.
They should be somewhat chagrined to have their name attached to this, though I doubt they are. Not that their name is displayed on their menu.
A better burger is not hard to find in Seattle.
Cory Streater
Some pretty decent vegetarian options for a burger place. The veggie pattie was one of the better ones I've had, but not something I'd rave about. I have a feeling my meat loving friends would enjoy their burgers more. I'd love to see a portebello mushroom burger on their menu. The brussel sprouts were great without the prosciutto. Sangria cider was yummy. The server, Courtney, was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.
Marek Zawirski
Tasty burgers with a good selection of sides and drinks. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The only issue was a bit chilly air temperature in some parts of the room (at least for my standards), so we had to move to a different table.
Kurt Haag
The only thing I don't love about this place is that it's right in the middle of Ballard and so parking can be a little challenging. Having said that, all in all they have a damn fine burger and a really creative menu. Get some seriously unusual stuff they're like pulled pork poutine, a plate of bacon, and habanero deviled eggs.
Mindy White
Fun menu, don't expect them to pay attention to how you want your burger cooked, but the topping almost make up. Drinks are good, when you can get your server to pay attention to when you want to order.
Otis Chugach
Easily best burger in west Washington. The negative reviews don't make sense. Servers have their unique personalities. The food is consistently perfect and that's more important than making friends.
Aga K
The burgers are delicious. super good and juicy, it'd be nice if they came with a side like a small side salad since.you have to get fries ala carte.
Alex
Best burgers in Ballard. Reduced capacity and staff was evident in the wait times but not the level of service. Did extra to fix an Uber eats issue.
Chris Calo
One of the better burgers I've had. Standout ingredients, each one adding something. Build your own burger and add Beecher's cheddar, the house bacon, and a poached egg. Unexpectedly great cocktails.
Jamie Moceri
Went here with a group of friends (with a reservation) for a birthday celebration and I absolutely loved it. Menu items are a la carte, so it can add up but worth EVERY penny. The mac'n'cheese is to die for, made with Beechers cheese (we added bacon-yum) it has an almost crispy top from toasted breadcrumbs. I tried 3 different people's burgers and loved each one. They also had a wide variety of local beers and ciders on tap. You seriously can't go wrong here.
Roger Knopf
Second visit, with more people to try a larger variety. As their name implies, they are all about a big burger, and big flavors. This is hearty food, served quickly by a cheerful and efficient staff. This is now on my short list of places to go when I want comfort food.
Zach Meyer
Tried it for the first time tonight. Did not disappoint. Loved every bite. One of the rare occasions where the photos on the menu meets reality. Nice hearty bite too!
Laura McLeod
Good service, good food, good ingredients. Interesting combinations, and nice apps /sides. Usually don't have room for dessert so can't comment. No real small portion options. Long waits, but they'll call if you give them your number. It's a little loud which makes conversations hard at times. Decent beverage selection. Overall worth a visit.
Joe Burwell
Fantastic salad, burger, fries, drinks, shake... Pleasantly surprised at last minute choice. They have 2 Bar bourbon (local) and Blanton's bourbon on the menu... Should have know it was going to be a great meal from that alone!
Heidi Kelm
Picked up some food to go and a salted caramel milkshake to which I added my own shot of bourbon once I got home. Super easy and efficient ordering and pick-up. Delicious as always!
Jens Bodal
Just so damn tasty, somehow the best made burger patties I’ve had. The build a burger option on a lettuce wrap with some garlic broccolini is my go to. For the burger I’ll do buffalo or beef patty in a lettuce wrap with: Horseradish Dijon, Anaheim peppers, Serrano peppers, Bacon, & Espresso Rub.
Forrest Jackson
Always great! Not since the first Lunchbox Laboratory has there been a burger as good as the Pike... And of course, fried brussels. Duh. Put your name on the list, go for a walk- they'll text you when your table is ready.
Emi H
Forgot to add the requested avocado (that we paid extra for) to my burger, and it was take out so it couldn't be corrected. Other than that, service was friendly (a bit slow) and the burgers, truffle fries, and shakes were amazing. I'd like to come back and eat on the patio.
Zippo
Came here with my brother and were welcomed right away at the door and sat down to order. We both ordered the 8oz signature burger (Both medium). I ordered mine lettuce wrapped with a side of garlic broccolini. He had it regular with a side of plain fries (Kennebec). He also ordered a peanut butter and jelly shake. As we waited the staff seemed happy and friendly.
The food came in about 10-15 minutes and to say it was all delicious is an understatement. The burger was juicy and the aioli was decadent. The broccolini was al dente and just enough salt and plenty of garlic. The prices aren't the cheapest as everything is a la carte but it is definitely worth it. Will be happily going again. :)
Tiffany R
Ballard staple. The 8oz. Burger never fails to be delicious and the garlic truffle fries are fantastic. They have a variety of burger options depending on what you prefer. Love coming here!
Esther Aller
We went to try the veggie burger. My vegetarian husband liked it but said it wasn't worth the price.
I am vegan. To make the burger vegan they had to replace the bun with lettuce and replace the aioli with their only vegan sauce: tomato jam. The tomato jam is serviceable, not bad but not a lot of flavor. They also charged us two dollars extra to substitute the aioli for the jam, which I would not have done if I had known about the price difference beforehand.
On the good side, their staff was very courteous and careful about checking the ingredients. Also their garlic broccolini was five stars. I probably won't be back, but if I do go back it will be just for that broccolini.
Anthony Monaco
Some of the beat burgers I've had anywhere. I originally ally ordered the Ballard Ave. as a joke because it was so outlandish. After 2 bites it became my favorite beef burger by a good margin. A must try.
Spencer Davis
Get the Ballard. Yes, it is a peanut butter and jelly burger and it is fantastic.
Consistent, delicious, great price. Great place
Nate Hill
Delicious burgers & sides! Namesake burger & Brussel Sprouts made for a perfect meal.
Katie Hallock
This 4/5 rating is based on the awesome burger my hubby created and the delicious sweet tots! It does not represent great service!
I created my own burger - grass-fed patty, American White Cheese and Bacon Fig Jam. The Patty was under-seasoned, the cheese was far to mild (I ordered it based on the waitresses encouragement) and the fig jam had no trace of bacon. Very upsetting.
Hubby, however, made magic happen! He chose to top his with garlic aioli and Gorgonzola. The Gorgonzola wasn't over powering, so the awesome-ness of the aioli could really shine through! I would definitely order something like this on my next visit!
I ordered the sweet tots without cinnamon sugar, so they didn't have much flavor on their own. But the honey curry sauce they were served with was awesome! I want more!!
Daniel C
I've been there five times. Tastiest, most satisfying burger I've had in ages; great staff also. Not one rude staff member. I highly recommend this restaurant; one of the best on Market St.
Garnet Shepherd
Burgers were cooked perfectly to request; juicy, flavorful, and not skimpy at all. The mudslide adult milkshake was amazing, and they have a happy hour every day before and after dinnertime.
Gordon
Man, that spicy burger is SPICY. In a good way. This place is definitely on the expensive side, but sometimes you just need a fat burger and boozy milkshake to end the day. Be warned, you will be very full of a burger and some fries here.
Ashley Black
Drinks were great. Unfortunately the burger was super greasy and both my husband and I paid dearly for the level of grease in our meal. Fries and chicken poppers were great though!
Fulvio Casali
I don't often write reviews, but I just have to get something off my chest. I gave you 4 stars, ok? You are great. But could you please do something about those serving plates? They're made of plastic, which is fine. But you also give us those sharp cutting knives, for obvious reasons. The result is that your plates are all rutted and gouged, which produces the dreadful nails on chalkboard effect when you try to cut something. I offer a modest suggestion: ditch the plates and serve your burgers on wooden cutting boards. Or give us dull knives. Or something. But those plates have got to go! I'm not kidding, I often don't come here because I can't deal with this.
Cameron Griffin
It doesn’t matter if you show up to this place or the one in Cap Hill, they’re all great. The burger, chicken, doesn’t matter it’s all really great. Plus the garlic fries are a must, if you like “I dunno”, just do it, get the fries.
Devon Waldron
Rolled up here to eat filling food after the Tough Mudder. Highly filling, highly satisfying. Delicious meat, fries and ice cream. Burgers are creative and quality. Solid beer list, though nothing too exotic.
Dawn Montello
Burgers were all they promised...fantastic! I also loved the little tenders and the onion rings. One small negative among the raves is that the barbeque sauce seemed a little bland but that isnt really important, is it 😊 …
Mia Myers
My food was amazing and they have a really good dairy free milk shake!
Jeanette Flygenring
Great burgers and onion rings. Not the best garlic fries, the other things are so good that we have returned several times. So very recommendable.
Jesse (Jeltown)
Really good burgers with lots of cool options and lots of unique styles and cool atmosphere. Just not quite the most amazing ever and the price is just above the quality.
Irene Kelly
Burgers are always the bomb. Their sides are super delicious and the staff is helpful and friendly, always patient and constantly checking to refresh your drinks. I've never left dissatisfied.
Portland Favorite
Must-try hamburger joint! It's rare to find truly good, unpretentious food in Seattle. Fig jam sliders and truffle fries are full of flavor. Hope Chef Chung receives due recognition.
Ashley Martin
Fantastic food, excellent service, great beer! Never ceases to impress, seriously. Go!
Marcia Arliss
I was with my family the server was more interested in the younger people because they were ordering alcoholic drinks we were treated poorly. We also ordered onions first batch were cold so I asked for a slice of raw onions she ignored my request & gave us more of something they call an onion but it was unrecognizable. Terrible service!
Matthew Pfeiffer
Burgers were misleading, they didn't look overly big but man do they fill you up. Everything we ordered there was awesome. Great beer selection.
Matt Gilliland
Cool little burger joint. Very creative special burgers, they had a huevos rancheros burger special as an offering. They made us wait 40 minutes even though we could see clearly that the place was only about 3/4 full.
André Ramos
Great burgers, probably one of the best ones in Seattle. Staff was lovely!
Rory Morris
Great burgers cooked perfectly and garnished with delicious combinations. I love the Jackson and the Union burgers. Staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy.
Jordan Murphy
Unique style burgers, well made and DELICIOUS!!! Plenty of sides and other accompaniments besides burgers to diversify your dinner!
Nathan Dickey
Top notch poutine and solid happy hour.
Burgers are pretty good too.
Just kidding, their burgers are excellent. Well worth it and good service to boot.
Daniel Sarkela
Best burger I have ever eaten, fast professional service, excellent root beer on tap. The rustic atmosphere is perfect and their food backs it up.
Jennifer Ballard
I ordered the 8 oz Signature Burger on a gluten-free bun and it was absolutely amazing. Their gluten-free bun isn't chewy or dry and the truffle aioli added a nice touch.
Jason Hernandez
Wonderful atmosphere with very friendly staff. The only thing better is the burgers. The price is a bit higher than most burger places but it is well worth the cost
Martin Paris
We went there for the post 9pm happy hour, which is a great deal for beers ($4 IPA) and burger/fries ($12). It is pretty spendy otherwise but you're not going to be disappointed from a taste/quality aspect
neha ahuja
Very rarely I enjoy burgers, this place changed my whole perception of burgers. They patty and the bun is very fresh and yummy. Highly recommend this place.
Lucian Copeland
Probably the best burger I've ever had, and I've had many. Get the Madison. Good selection of draft beer too, and a nice atmosphere and staff.
Jamie Loper
Not worth the price. The burger I got was small and flavorless. I have no problem paying for quality food. This was not quality and the fact that it was so small was disappointing. Service was great though.
Lawrence Fosnick Davis
Very yummy! Gluten free bun or lettuce wrap available.
Christopher Pierce
I had the buffalo sandwich and it was tasty! My friend had the one with peanut butter and I will order that one next time! The question is which one will I have the time after that? So good and quick with the service.
Sean Thompson
My wife and two young kids went and enjoyed every bite. I was a bit concerned by the seemingly over complicated ingredients in just a burger but, it was the best burger I've had in years.
Lulu Kim
I love it best burger in my life
Kai
Best burgers in Seattle. Thai ice tea milkshake is fantastic, worth a try. Lively joint during dinner hours.
Jessica Thomson
Great burgers, and just the right amount of food. The interior has a home-y darker atmosphere with nice unfinished wood, and they have locally made condiments.
Andy Wong
Terrific burgers. Thai iced tea shakes are to die for.
Matt P
The burgers are good but, expect to pay a good amount of $$ for an 8oz burger. If you want to splurge, go for it! The atmosphere and staff are excellent!
Lauren Heintz
So many unique combinations for the burgers, every one at my table loved what they ordered! Also highly recommend the truffle fries and the shakes.
Damon E
Incredible burgers. Heat lovers will love the Pike burger. It packs a punch with incredible flavor to boot. 5/5 service and food.
Mo King
The espresso orea milkshake is... THE BEST. Burgers are good too but milkshake is the real MVP. Sweet potato tots are also excellent, that curry aoili is mmmfff
Jay Voigt
Good drinks, great food, my only gripe (I realize this might be exclusively my issue) is the pictures of the happy farm animals on the walls while I'm eating once happy farm animals. I think I need to bite the bullet and go vegetarian...
Eddie Sung
Love this burger place, it is the only place that I'll order medium rare. I've probably been 40 times and a regular here for 3 years. Can't say that about any other burger place.
PhiL
It was ok. I got the Jackson and Poutine. Neither of which I would say justify the price. You get lots of poutine, but the burger was moderate size.
Jeff Pond
Best burgers in Ballard and always an awesome crew working. A+++
David English
You need to experience the way this place elevates the burger! Awesome selection of drinks and the garlic fries are on point!
Josh Bowman
Good burgers. Everything is al a carte so ends up being a bit pricier than should be. But all in all a good spot for a quality burger and beer
ClawingTrends
When you know you want a BURGER you go here. Happy hour is fantastic, cocktails are fun.
Dídac Pérez i Parera
Amazing burgers with high quality meat. Sadly they do not come with sides, they have to be ordered separately. But, again, they are so really good.
Ryan Collins
The burgers here are better than anywhere else, the sauces and meats they use are so creative and make this place, hands down, my favorite burger joint.
Noa Barlow
Fantastic burgers with great beers and quality service. You can't go wrong.
Island Life
Fantastic. I got the hill burger and my lady got the classic. Both fantastic.
Great local bee selection as well as an extensive whiskey list.
Portland Peony
Miss this place after moving to Portland..best jam slider hamburgers and garlic fries we ever had!!!
Satadipa Sarkar
I love this place. If you wanna have a delicious burger and s side of yum garlic fries, you should be here. It’s freaking awesome.
Brad Benz
Lovely food, great beer! Service was a bit slow, probably due to under-staffing. Won't deter us from combing back, though!
Kaitlyn Lapan
The burgers are obviously delicious, but the staff are also great. Good cocktails and nice environment.
Todd Ellis
Decent burgers, lots of options. They overcooked my burger and had it replaced. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their meal
Bryce Van Vleet

The food is always really good, but service at the bar, especially over lunch, has been very slow the last few times I've gone solo. They do way better with groups, never had a problem then.
