This food truck was so great, unbelievably affordable, ingredients all tasted fresh and the sandwiches themselves were thoughtfully made. There is also a shocking amount of variety between each sandwich considering that the basis of each is only sourdough and fried eggs. We got the free-range against the machine and sriracha mix a lot and both were wonderful! About a 10-15 minute wait after ordering, definitely worth it.

I love sourdough and pesto so I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich which was the single egg and sausage with pesto. My partner got the double sausage and double egg but didn’t enjoy it as much as I did. He though the pesto and a taste of caraway (in the sausage maybe?) was too overpowering. I did think the price was fair and the wait time felt normal for a truck that makes your food to order, from scratch. Overall, my partner was disappointed enough that it didn’t feel worthy of 5 stars. But I was happy with mine. We didn’t get any drinks, only the sandwiches.

Great location and a bit of a line (with upto 15-20 min waiting time to get your food). If you have the patience, you will be well rewarded with some yummy egg sandwiches. I had the Egg Zeppelin (swapping the sausage patties for veggie patties) and I wasn't disappointed. Quite greasy for sure (I had butter / oil flowing through my fingers and the sandwich) but that's what makes it yummy right. For the portion and what they pack into it, I'd say worth the price too. Being a music fan, a led zeppelin one at it too, love the fact that everything here is music themed.

There was a long que in the morning at the food truck. I ordered autumn limited item, shroom. Bacon, mushrooms and Swiss cheese in the toast. They made sandwiches after they got orders, so customers have to wait for a while. However it's worth waiting! Their sandwiches were delicious and suitable for breakfast!

Such a delicious breakfast! It was a bit of a wait, but the staff were so friendly and we didn't feel stressed at all. Lots of choices from meat to vegetarian to vegan and I've never had a better breakfast sandwich!

Everytime I come to Portland I hit up this place. It's soooo good. And the sandwiches are big enough to split, just ask them to cut it half! Any sandwich can be made vegetarian at no extra charge and they have a vegan option as well. Seriously, the perfect breakfast sandwich.

The sandwiches are filling and packed with flavor. We got the Yolko Ono and Sriracha-mix-a-lot. I would recommend adding the aoili to the Yolko Ono and the pickled onions to the Sriracha. We also tried the mint thing. It was a canned coffee beverage. The coffee was light and creamy. It had oatmilk and mint. Definitely worth a try. There's plenty of places to sit. Whether at the amphitheater or coffee tables set up next to Starbucks, you'll have somewhere to sit.

Yolko Ono Zeppelin with Aardvark aioli! The best breakfast sandwich I’ve had and breakfast sandwiches are kinda my thing! Any of the FEIIL trucks will take good care of you. This one was a nice easy walk from our hotel and right in Pioneer Square. A Starbucks is right across as well, for your coffee needs. There are tables and then plenty of steps for seating. Hang out and enjoy the day! Really nice spot to have a relaxing breakfast outside.

Ok, egg lovers, this is the place for your ideal, beautifully crafted egg sandwich. They cook a perfect, almost medium egg (tacky bright yellow yolk) and nestled it in a nest of bacon between two fresh pieces of lightly toasted sourdough bread. I opted for pesto and havarti, in honor of Bend, Oregon’s Sparrow bakery’s bacon breakfast sandwich- my previous favorite. Sorry Sparrow, your sandwich is wonderful but your poached egg on croissant could take a lesson from FEIIL and cook slightly longer…I’ve worn you on my shirt one too many times. Bonus: Fried Egg I’m in Love’s musical egg puns are almost as lovely and cleverly made as the sandwich.

This is at Pioneer Square. It’s one of my favourite spot to have fried egg sandwiches in Portland. It’s a food truck and the sandwiches are really really amazing. I tried their best seller Yoklo Ono which their classic sandwiches and I liked it. It had fried egg and fried sausage which is smashed and their pesto sauce. I even tried Sriracha Mix-A-Lot and it was mind blowing and I loved it. Must try this sriracha. Its only a dollar difference and it had bacon and cheese sriracha sauce and it was next level and I loved it and I would love to come here everyday given a chance. There are few tables and chairs where you guys can sit and eat. And this food truck is a must try one when you come to portland. It opens till 2pm. People were super friendly here.

Great sandwiches. We had the Rage Against the Machine (egg with avacado and tomatoes) as I wanted something a bit lighter - I'd give it a 4 out of 5. But we also had the vegan egg with vegan sausage and it was UNBELIEVABLE - the flavour of the sausage and sandwich itself takes it to the 5 stars no doubt. If your Vegan - go get this sandwich!

There's not a ton of options at the cart but the sandwich I had was really good. It comes out piping hot so be careful with it mouth. The sandwiches take a few minutes so be prepared to wait especially if there's a line.

Tried out the egg n sausage made to order sandwich …WOW!! Bursting with flavor..great Great GREAT ! sandwiches. Well presented and exceptional service . A typical fried egg sandwich. There was a long line around 10 AM on Sunday so I was expecting a lot from this place. I ordered yolko ono, which has a fried egg and a sausage patty. This was listed as the first item in the menu so I had to try it. Even though the egg was fried, the sandwich was not greasy at all. The sausage patty was pretty small. Honestly the sandwich did not wow me. I love sandwiches in general, heck I love Subway sandwiches a lot too. I don’t think I will be returning but it was OK for the first time for $7.5 - three stars! If they had a bigger sausage patty and cared a little more for the edges of the bread slices, I would have given five stars.

By now I have been to all three locations of FEIIL and I have turned from a doubter to totally in love with it. I get it now—fried egg sandwich isn't that special at all, but that's also the point. We all know how to make a quick fried egg sandwich so it's actually pretty hard to make one that everyone would say "Oh, this is so good" rather than "Even I can do better". The simpler, the harder. Had a "Smell like Protein Spirit" the other day and it was delicious as always. Convenient food cart location in downtown!

The food at Fried Egg Im in love was tasty. I got the Egg Zeppelin. The sourdough bread was toasted and had that perfect crunch to it, along with the strength to hold all the sausage and eggs. Their aardvark aioli was unique and I recommend you try it on your sammie. They also have fast service. I went during a Monday morning rush and they were serving the food quickly.

Ate there this morning for the first time. I knew normally there would be a line so I checked and they were slow (this was around 7:20am) so I figured I’d try it. BEST DECISION! This was hands down the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had. The ratio of the ingredients was perfect and it all combined extremely well. I got the Yoko Ono on staff recommendation with the addition of the aardvark sauce and havarti cheese. The egg was cooked perfectly and the cheese melted everything together. On top of that the gentleman who made my food was extremely nice and nailed the recommendation. Not in too much of a hurry to connect with the customer! It was an awesome way to start off my morning. Like their name says...I’m in love!!! I will definitely be returning!!!

If youre stumbling around downtown Portland some morning definitely grab a bite here. The Huevo Mutilation and the Yoko with both recommended add ons were both fantastic. I wouldn't bother with the OJ though, it's a small bottle for what you pay.

One of the recently-added food carts to Pioneer Courthouse Square, it's also the one most consistently open! Went this morning and got the Yolko Ono. Loved the flavors and textures. There crunch on the sightly toasted bread was perfect. The sausage may have been a little salty. The two guys operating it were very nice and sociable. Took a little for the food to be made, but at least you know it's made to order!

Good spot for a quick bite. The only downside is the wait is pretty long? I was expecting it to be quick for a simple fried egg sandwich. Somehow I had to wait for 20 mins. Maybe because they were super busy at that time. Anyway, it's basically what you expect from fried egg + cheese on a sourdough bread. Price is very reasonable as well. So, definitely get this if you're craving some fried egg on a sourdough bread.

Sriracha Mix-a-lot with aardvark aioli was amazing! I added a little too much green sauce but it was too delicious to stop. I was the first person on the next grill order and it took about 20 minutes to receive my food from order time.

The sandwich was absolutely delicious. I had ham in my sandwich, and it had been grilled, the way the universe intended it! The service at the window was very friendly, and the turnaround time was quite acceptable. This could very easily become an addiction. And for me, the fact that gluten-free bread was available was a total winner.

AMAZING sandwiches! The bread is wonderfully crunchy, Aardvark aioli is the bomb. The veggie sausage is fantastic. We ate here multiple times, the location is really pretty too. Sandwich names are hilarious and the guy, Jefferey, is super sweet. We gave pseudonyms from the Pokemon games for our order and he was on to us the whole time haha. 10/10 experience highly recommend.

Amazing food truck nested along Hawthorne bringing mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches. I've had Eggslut and thought it was decent, but Fried Egg I'm In Love is making me question that past experience as the sandwiches here blew Eggslut's away. While waiting in line, a nice gentleman walked by with another person looking at the menu, He mentioned "you have to get the recommended add-ons" and walked away. I'm still not sure if he was talking to his pal or to my friend and I waiting in line. Felt like some sort of NPC interaction where we didn't skip through the dialogue - other friends who ordered ahead missed out on this wonderful advice. Now that I mentioned the add-ons, I will note that I'm not sure I necessarily agree with the prices (so little caramelized onions for $1.5) but the amount they use pairs so perfectly with the sandwich that I figure they've mastered the art of balancing their ingredients. Despite the price, I still recommend following the food truck's recommendations. Now onto the food - I was conflicted between the Yolko Zeppelin or the Egg Zeppelin. Ended up opting for the latter because it includes two slices of cheddar cheese for less price (I think because the Yolko Zeppelin's sauces). Both have two sausages and two eggs. I'm happy with my decision though I'm absolutely certain I would have enjoyed the Yolko Zeppelin just as much. The sandwich is just so soft, fluffy, and melts in your mouth. It's completely fresh and pulls apart so nicely, especially with the cheese. Be prepared for some mess though, unless you're a perfect eater. Not much else to say - I was blown away by Fried Egg I'm In Love and now I'm in love with this place. Too bad I'd have to drive 5+ hours from Seattle to stop by.

Updating from 5 stars to 4 because I’ve been a regular here for almost 2 years now, still love it, but seriously how is there no way to order for pick up yet? It just keeps saying it’s down as they switch methods but bro it’s been 2 years. I guess they must get too much foot traffic for square ordering or something; but I live around the corner and it would make me SO HAPPY to not have to wait in pioneer square when I could just order and pickup. I am begging you to implement this. Please for the love of god I will love u forever and give you your 5th star back. Also Jeff is awesome great customer service with that good egg :) solid vegan and veg options. Everyone’s always been really chill and friendly. Every time I eat here I’m not disappointed, but today everything was especially delicious (mushrooms BELONG on the vegan and Sara im in heaven).

Mmmmm!! Somehow they manage to make the already amazing thing that is a fried egg sandwich even better!! My 16 mo old ate a whole free range against the machine, it was impressive. They even scrambled the egg for him. I had the sandwich with caramelized onion and ham. Delicious. This truck was busy but the wait wasn't long and food came out fast. We were so happy to find this place...at 8:30am it was the first place we found open for breakfast beside starbucks.

The sandwiches were delicious and creative. The ordering and pickup process needs work. I ordered online with a pick-up of 10:15. When I arrived at 10:20, they said they were just packing up my order. 8-10 minutes later, I see that they’ve just finished cooking my order and bagged it up. Unfortunately, they only had half of my order, resulting in a wait of another 8-10 minutes. Total wait time of 30 minutes after the order was supposed to be done and 60 minutes from when I ordered. They wait and order accuracy may be more reasonable when ordered in person. Their online ordering needs work. Had their employees been more thoughtful about rectifying errors, I think I would’ve left with a better impression of this cart which otherwise produces delicious sandwiches.

Finally Braved the long line. About 7 or so people in line on a weekend morning. They moved people so quickly! Took about 8 minutes in line then max 10 minutes waiting for the food. I stopped at Fried Egg I'm In Love after reading their reviews. I ordered the Yolko Ono Sandwich, which is a fried egg, sausage patty, parmesan cheese and pesto, on sourdough bread. The bread was crispy and had a good sourdough flavor. Egg, sausage, parmesan and pesto were all tasty. It was an excellent sandwich for $7.50 and took them about 8 minutes to produce. Service was good. I ate it all and it was filling. I'd return.

Don’t get me wrong, the sandwiches are great, but the wait time is a bit much. This isn’t a grab-and-go breakfast place; expect to wait at least 20 minutes for your sandwich, and 40+ minutes if you order online. In-person orders are prioritized over online orders (the staff confirmed this), so don’t order online expecting your food to be ready soon after you arrive at the cart. The Yolko Ono with the recommended add-ons is absolutely fantastic, but I find it hard to justify waiting so long for a breakfast sandwich.

Extremely well made breakfast sandwiches and perfectly cooked bacon, the sausage patties are hand made instead of store bought and the egg was brilliantly cooked to perfection. Wait time at around 9:20am was around 5-10ish minutes. I would highly recommend adding a little sriracha to you meal as it adds a little extra kick. Their food isn't overly priced but not cheep either. The single best breakfast place I have been to in Downtown Portland so if your looking for a relatively quick and lovingly made breakfast visit this fun little food cart and you won't be disappointed.

Very tasty, filling and well spiced. Service was also very friendly and very accommodating, as I first intended to modify an order but then decided to have the original version of it. I got there around Saturday 8:30am-ish and overall waiting time in the line to order + sandwich cooking time was like 30-40min, FYI. Enjoyed the sandwich as one time thing but not sure if I’d be willing to go repeatedly if waiting is always like this. Sandwiches are made with bread with a sour taste on the dough, and it goes surprisingly well with oily kids like sausages and bacon. It's easy enough to eat once for breakfast. (토요일 아침 기준)
