We finally got to try Mexi-Q after driving by it for several weeks. Tonight we stopped in with some friends of ours and it was AMAZING. Like top notch! They serve you the food insanely fast before you sit down. So zero wait time. Plus the portions are massive! It was hard to carry the tray it was so jam packed full of deliciousness. The staff were super friendly and the owner is the type to walk around to tables and check to make sure you are having a great time. Place was super clean and I can’t wait to make this a regular spot. Try anything on the menu, it’s all fantastic. Seriously. Just go now!

The green chilies carnitas tacos are so delicious! Perfectly seasoned and cooked! The brirra tacos hit the spot as well. You can’t go wrong with eating here, the best thing on my menu is the mac and cheese - it’s creamy delicious and I can’t get enough of it! everything is so flavorful the staff is friendly and helpful! The restaurant is clean, only down side would be very little seating inside!

I’m a huge Caldwell’s BBQ fan and have long felt AZ needs more Mexican/BBQ fusion. The do a great job of incorporating their smoked meats into traditional dishes. The brisket tostada was full of flavor, tough to eat with your hands but a lot of deliciousness. The tacos have a dipping sauce that adds moisture and flavor. The Mexican Twinkie is a really a smoked Jalapeño popper, tasty bite for sure. We also have enjoyed their green chili burrito and love the unique flavors. Be sure to consider their outdoor seating, they have misting fans that make it comfortable even on hot days. We will be back for sure.

First time in and the place has amazing charm and desire to be a great BBQ place!! The smokers are truly amazing. Now I ordered the turkey sandwich, hands down five stars real good smoked BBQ. The twist here is they want to toss some Mexican into the mix and the brisket birria tacos I gave three stars. Now they where extremely oily but very good Last but not least there was the smoked carnitas taco’s. Total miss!! Fail on all accords here zero stars the wife but into one and could not even keep it down. So overall score three stars, stay with the BBQ and you guys will crush it!! Keep the smokers blowing all the time and people will come from miles alone for the smell. I’ll Be back for the turkey. Ohh and grab the bottle root beer !!

Absolutely amazing! We've been looking for good BBQ since we came to Arizona from Oklahoma and hadn't had much luck. We decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed with the platter we got. I'm a total foodie and love to have a variety of things to try and this was absolute 🔥 my birthday is next week and I'll be back!

Some great things and some not so great things. Hubby and I hit up Mexi-Q last Thursday. We're fans of Caldwell County BBQ and so we were looking forward to trying out this off-shoot of theirs. We brought our dog and the folks at Mexi-Q welcomed our dog on their outdoor patio. They've got fantastic misters and fans scattered throughout the patio, so it was quite comfortable. They even brought us out a nice dish with cold water for our dog. We ordered a few tacos, the potato salad, one jalepeno popper, and street corn dish. The service was fantastic! We both really liked the barria taco and the sauce to dip it in was super tasty. And we both LOVED the corn dish - it's a cross between Mexican street corn, and creamed corn. Absolutely delish. However, visitors should be aware that EVERYTHING come with lots and lots of diced raw white onion. As I am not a fan of diced raw white onion, I spent a lot of time picking it off things, and didn't eat much of the potato salad because it was filled with onions. Seriously a ton of white onions. Next time we come, we'll have to specify no onions. Also, it was a bit pricey - our meal was over $50.

Food was just average. Nothing really stood out. Flavor was just okay. We ordered: tostasdas, brisket tacos, birria, elote, and Julio's mac n cheese. Customer service was average. I probably won't come back.

I was in the mood for BBQ but wasn’t feeling very Mexi- a half pound of the fatty brisket didn’t disappoint. I liked all three bbq sauces, sweet-hot is the perfect amount of heat without causing any sweat, the house is good but the mustard is my favorite- ummm. I’ve been here a couple times now since they opened and this most recent visit was the best yet.

This is the real deal. Mexi-Q delivers on its promised fusion of BBQ and Mexican in a fresh and delicious way. We had the Mexican Twinkie (bacon-wrapped stuffed pepper, elote, burrito, and birria taco. Every bite made me want more. We'll be back. Inside seating is available but limited. There's quite a bit more outside on benches.

10/10 would recommend!!! Birria brisket tacos, chicken tacos, carnita tacos, grandma's calabacitas, Mac & cheese, and the pulled pork sandwich. Everything was delicious! 🤤 Oh, and the chocolate chip cookie! 🍪 👌 I will be back for the birria tacos specifically! 😍

We will always love Caldwell. The food is great. Service is fast. And prices are fair. Their indoor seating is small but the patio is roomy and spread out.

I don't even know how to describe the crazy flavors these folks forced into a corn tortilla, but man it is sooooo good. To top it off the people that make and serve the food are some genuinely nice humans!! If this place had horchata with free refills I'd be there everyday. Instead I'll set a goal for once a week. My goodness! Gilbert's best kept secret. Hurry up and try this amazing Authentic Mexi-Q. The BRISKET is MAGICAL. Not sure if there is better brisket out there. My wife and I were so impressed with the flavors and the menu was nice and simple. The Mexi-twinkie and the elote were so good. Their meat is not fatty at all and their portions are perfect The inside of this place is extremely clean. All the food is fantastic. The employees are phenomenal. They seriously take pride in their food. The fresh cookies at 11am!!!!!

Y’all have to try Caldwell County Mexi-Q 🤤 From left to right top row: Mac & cheese, elote, and calabacitas. Left to right bottom row: sausage link, brisket birria taco, smoked carnitas taco, and a Hawaiian roll on the side. They were all amazing! The flavors just exploded in our mouths. There is so much more I want to try! The staff were very nice and explained everything on the menu for us since it was our first visit. The owner took his time to greet us at our table and ask how our experience was. The restaurant was very clean. Very limited seating indoors. Mainly an outdoor dining experience. This is on Gilbert Rd. just a little south of Guadalupe Rd. in Gilbert. Give it a try and thank me later 😉

This was tremendously okay. I had the green chili burro, the carnitas taco, and the brisket birria taco. The green chili was bland, as were the carnitas. The brisket birria was good. It's interesting having a smoky dimension to birria. Would have been better as quesabirria. The consomé was good, though. Needed lime and I prefer it with radish, but at least it came with onions and cilantro. Also, super pricey. Good atmosphere and excellent staff, just not the best food for my money.

Food is very good but I pre-ordered for pickup. It’s a pet peeve of mine to get everything I ordered and when I don’t get everything I paid for it annoys me. So if you want a guarantee, eat there cause my $100 pickup was missing 3 side items. I mean McDonald’s missing your order is standard! $100 BBQ order… expects higher standards. I got 1 but guess they small sides were forgotten or too much trouble to pack for me. Loved the peppered turkey most! And this was a Valentine’s Day order so make of that what you will.

Went here because it is a sister company to Caldwell County BBQ. When I went there they gave me a coupon for a free side when I bought 2 tacos at Mexi-Q. So I had a couple of tacos and a side. The food is really good, but it really is just barbecue in taco form so it really doesn't taste much like Mexican food. That's not to say it isn't good, but just different. They also have really great barbecue sauces which makes the meal in my opinion. Will most likely be back!

Fast, friendly service. Brisket is delicious! They gave us a sample of it before we ordered. We got Brisket tacos, a tostada, and Mac and cheese as a side. I recommend all of it! They have a great outdoor area where we ate! This is definitely a place to return regularly!

Food is delicious!! It is a place I anticipate returning to again and again. The sausage awesome, the carnitas taco with the smoked green chili is drool worthy. Texas twinkles were very good but Im from Texas and have had better. Looking forward to trying the brisket and ribs. If you want a savory delicious twist to BBQ this is a must try. Again sooo good!

My my my. Please read this review while also imagining the considerable amount of restraint I used to avoid cursing the entire time. That’s how good this place is. I want to curse in every single sentence. My wife and I got some to-go dinner from here tonight. We ordered the brisket tostada, birria tacos, Mac and cheese, elote cream corn, Mexican Twinkie, and the el general Patton sandwich. The only negative I’ll mention up front is that we didn’t get the Mac and cheese. They probably just forgot. Who cares. The food was so good that when we noticed the side missing, it didn’t even matter. Brisket Tostada - Rating 8/10 Crispy on the bottom like it’s supposed to be, piled with ingredients, and especially savory shredded brisket. It danced upon our tongues like a flavor party or “fiesta de sabores” if you will. Birria Tacos - Rating 9/10 Exactly what you want a birria taco to taste like. Juicy and flavorful. The broth has a special attention to detail, it’s not an afterthought. The meat is VERY good. The tortilla is fantastic. I could eat six of them. I’d hate myself but I could do it with a smile on my face. Mac and Cheese - Rating Pending. Can’t rate this one, but I’m going back. So I’ll rate it later. Elote Cream Corn - Rating 10/10 Since my side was missing, my gracious wife said I could share her cream corn with her. I took one bite. My wife ate the rest because she loved it so much. The bite I has was a very “what the f*ck” moment. (Sorry). We were both like “how is this tasting this good?” We were puzzled. Like, is there a corn scientist there? Very very good. Mexican Twinkie - Rating 6/10 Take this rating with a grain of salt. It’s a Twinkie with bacon and jalapeño, which for me, is a little much. I didn’t eat a whole one. But what I did eat I was surprised by. It’s original and worth a try. If you like these ingredients, you will like this. El General Patton Sandwich - Rating 9/10 The amount of meat they give you on this sandwich is comical. It’s bigger than a standard meat plate at a bougie Texas glamor bbq restaurant and they cram it between bread. The sausage is tangy and savory. The pulled pork was super juicy and SO GOOD. The meat is the star. Which it should be, I get it. But they took this seriously, and you can taste it. Eat here. Like….don’t even have another thought. It’s so so good.

awesome place, employees were very friendly and attentive even provided a sample since it was my first time eating! great food, definitely the best brisket you can find in the area joe's is getting a run for its money.. to be honest i do miss clay's a little but this works so much better as a concept, everything is delicious. just really hoping you guys can stick around because in all of my years of living in gilbert that restaurant space has always been very back and forth with new owners and never staying consistently in that spot for more than a couple years, call it a curse or something but i hope you break it! real gem of a restaurant that i would be upset to see go lol

Hands down the best Birria taco I’ve had in the valley. Same smokey prime brisket you will find at Caldwell County BBQ only in a birria taco, great portion size and fair price. Delicious! Birria tacos are delish! The mac and cheese is top notch and super flavorful. The pork carnitas are perfect balance of smoky and Mexican spice! It’s smaller so if you plan on eating there you may have to wait for a seat or be outside. Would still be worth it tho!!!!! I should have taken pics before but now food is all gone!!!

I went looking for Barbecue. Ordered the Verdi burrito and the Birria Taco. Seriously, this was some of the most authentic Mexican I've ever had. Not your Cheasy Tex Mex, but authentic tasting Mexican food. This place beats most Mexican food joints. It's really good stuff!

Having been a fan of Caldwell County BBQ, and also a patron of the old Riva’s Mexican food restaurant (may she Rest In Peace), stopping in for some Mexi-Q was a no-brainer for me. I ordered the green chili pork burrito, and she got the brisket sandwich with a side of elote. I’m normally not a “meat in my burrito” kind of guy, but holy moly batman, my burro was stupid good. And she, being someone who normally can’t finish a regular-sized meal, destroyed her brisket sandwich. Altogether we paid $25 with tip, which is a bit steep for the amount of food we got, but the quality of the food makes up for it. And it’s not just the melt in your mouth meat that rocked our world, either. The sauces and salsas were excellent. Like, bruh, their sauce game is strong. Is it worth a visit? Absolutely. My only complaint is the menu layout. Like, they have the names of the sandwiches, but they don’t tell you what is on them, so the poor guy up front has to explain them to every customer that asks. That slows down the process, and makes the line move slower. Clean that up, mr/mrs owner and you’ll do yourselves (and us) a solid.

Yum yum yum! This place is fantastic and the staff is very friendly! Loved that they smoke there own Dawgs and also that they use Caldwells BBQ for some of there meat sliders and sides! Can't wait to go back and explore the menu more.

New place to eat. Owners also own Caldwell County BBQ. We got the brisket dog with sweet relish. Delicious! It was only $5 plus tax. They have regular beef and polish dogs for $4 and the specialty dogs for $5 (brisket, slaw, chili or Mac-n-cheese). They have drinks for $2 and chips for $1 but no fries. It’s a small place with outside seating (don’t know if they have seating inside), but there is a drive-thru which we used. It looked so good and I was hungry I forgot to take a picture until I handed the last half to my hubby. He loved it.

Oh man these hot dogs are good. We brought my brother in law (incidentally named Clay, no relation haha) and he said it was hands down the best hot dog he’d ever had. The hot dogs are juicy and the smoky flavor really stands out. I’ve had the brisket dog (my favorite). I don’t remember all of the toppings they had but it went well. We live nearby and every time we pass my son asks if we can stop and get one (which we can’t, so please stop asking 🤣) it’s a little cramped inside, so we usually sit on the bar/patio outside. We love it!

Update after further visits, still awesome! Honestly my first thought was how someone could make a place just around hotdogs. I am so glad my friends talked me into going. Probably the best dog I have had that is not at an MLB park, Fenway Franks were something special and this is up there with it. Their toppings, slaw, mac and cheese, and brisket are all top notch. Their brisket alone could compete with specialty places in Texas. If you ever want a hotdog like you have never had before, this is your place. The only thing that didnt make sense right away was how stiff the buns felt. After making it halfway through my chilidog, I found the inside of the bun to be soft and the stiffer "shell" to be good for keeping the chili and toppings in its place and not in my lap like any other chili dog I have had. This is just another little gem that makes downtown Gilbert even more irresistible.

Went last night and tried the regular beef dawg, brisket beef dawg and the Mac and cheese beef dawg. All were great with a smoked flavor throughout! The yummy sauce was tasty and sweet that went well with the Dawgs. Lastly the chocolate chip cookie is a must! It was amazing!! Will be coming back to try other things on the menu!

Their birria tacos 🌮 😋 are the BEST for the East Valley. The beef brisket is cooked to perfection. I'm so glad this place has birria tacos because driving to the West Valley was not happening. And, the cookies 🍪 were just coming out of the oven!

This is not a hot dog place anymore. Yummy use of Caldwells county’s bbq. We tried two tacos, a Chile verde and some sides. The calabacitas (squash with tomatoes) was yummy and so was the elote side dish.

THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS! I am SO GLAD I didn't let the negative reviews deter me. The brisket was flavorful and tender, the beef hot dogs were plump, juicy and cooked to perfection. I got the beef dawg with mac n cheese on top with a side of brisket. My husband got the beef dawg with brisket, tomatoes, jalapeños and onions on top. We chose "yummy sauce" and bbq sauce and BOTH were on point, especially when mixed together. The person taking the order was friendly, professional and fast. We are DEFINITELY going back! We just moved from TX where they claim to have "the best bbq" and we have not tasted any flavorful brisket and dogs like this. I am surprised there is not more hype about Clay Dawgs because they are good. Ppl complained about price which is ridiculous because the most expensive thing, the hot dawg, is only $5. You go to fast food places and spend wayyy more for nastier food, worse service, and an unsatisfied feeling. I say GO HERE! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

You found it! This place is a dime a dozen hot dog restaurant. First off everyone is super friendly and the smell of the place just screams summer. The hot dogs are smoked with an absolutely delicious and one of a kind taste you can’t get anywhere else. All the food is made with quality you can taste. I have eaten many dogs around AZ and this place just became my new go to place. It is very hard to find chili cheese dogs that are this good.

Mesquite Smoked Dawgs. Yes, that's right and they're DELICIOUS. The smokiness is layered into every single bite! We tried three Dawgs, the standard Polish, Brisket Dawg, and the Mac N Cheese Dawg. All of them were extremely tasty and you can add you're favorite condiments/toppings to each Dawg! Also, the sauces set it off the top, that mustard sauce and the BBQ hot and sweet sauce together are like the perfect marriage to produce a tango like dance in your mouth. Been here twice. LOVE your food! The elote, mac n cheese, mexican Twinkies and brisket are awesome. Their bbq sauces are amazing, too! The first time we visited we ate inside and it couldn't have gone better. We left RAVING about it! The 2nd time was takeout for my family and some sides were missing. I called and was told to drive back and the sides would be provided and removed from my bill. When I got there, they instead decided to give me a free cookie for my trouble. I would've rather had the sides removed from my bill instead of driving back for a free cookie because by the time I got back home everyone's food was cold. Lesson relearned: CHECK YOUR ORDER! I still recommend Caldwell Co. Mexi-cue and will remember to check my order very closely so I don't have to return to cold food.

I was thoroughly impressed with the food. I had the Texas Twinkie, smoked chili verde burrito, smoked brisket birra taco, and the smoked carnitas taco, and the Mac and cheese. Flavor is off the charts the consume is some of the best I have ever had. I will be back!

Wow, I went there to try it out after reading an article about it, and I was blown away! Their brisket tacos are the best tacos I've ever c tasted. The BBQ sauce adds a little more depth and interest to the flavor. The only down side is the $5 per taco price, but I think this is one of the few places where the price is worth it. I got the Sandwich that came with brisket, pulled pork, and sausage and every single meat was on point. The mac n cheese was also creamy and delicious with a great smoky flavor. This place was bomb! Brisket Birria Tacos were juicy and flavorful - definitely my favorite BBQ place these days. The Brisket Tostada is also good but if you're not good with spice the jalapeno in the pico topping might be too spicy for you - loved the flavor as a spice person. My favorite side had to be Julio's Mac & Cheese - cheesy with a hint of green chile sauce or something scrumptious like that. Most of the seating is outside but it's pleasant with their misters on, accessible bathrooms and helpful, friendly staff!

After going to the regular Caldwell County BBQ I found out about this Mexican BBQ fusion place they have as well so I had to check it out. I had the brisket birria taco, the "twinkie", which is a cheese stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeño, and the creamed elote. Everything was fantastic. The taco and accompanying consome had amazing flavor. The jalapeño was tender and the bacon and filling brought it all together. The side of creamed elote was well executed and flavorful. I would recommend checking this place out.

Really simple menu, which I loved. The hot dog is really, really good. Definitely not made in a microwave! I got Mac and cheese and chili as premium sides. Chili was good. Mac and cheese was so so. Wasn't creamy, little dry. Also added onions. Overall, really good. The restaurant itself is super cute; the decor is cool. Plenty of outside seating. Would go back. This place was awesome. For a guy who loves hot dogs, I'm glad they have been rising up the trends board the last couple of years. This place is tasty and fast. Their dogs are all cooked on a giant "green egg" grill and cross cut on top to get some really great flavor and extra texture. I got a Chicago dog and a Brisket/Coleslaw dog. The Brisket is cooked out back and is better than a lot of BBQ joints. I'm from Texas so saying that means a lot for me. I see a bit of opportunity here to improve some of the toppings like the pickles and maybe a few ingredients that walk on the wild side. I also think it would be a good idea to have a few signature dogs to help others choose a path. But since those are mostly operational aspects, I'm giving them a 5.

Food was good. Tried the brisket birria tacos, the green Chile burrito and the calabacitas. The meat is excellent, great smoky flavor. Everything about the food was great. The employees however were very short, gruff and rude. There were 3 of them that made it kinda seem like we were really just an inconvenience to them. That alone made us think we probably won't be back. Shame, but with Joe's right down the street I dont need to put up with being treated poorly for good bbq.

Great tasting chili verde burrito. The brisket birria taco and smoked carnitas taco were delicious, but my wife and I prefer the brisket taco. We tried the Mexi-Q Twinkie, but we weren't a huge fan. A Mexi-Q Twinkie is a stuffed jalapeno popper wrapped in bacon. It is very unique. The service was quick. We had our food less than two minutes after we ordered. The value is great as tacos are $4 and the burrito was $8 and came with some spicy hot sauce. The BBQ flavor of the meat was present and just like at Caldwell County's BBQ restaurant, you can take bottles of the three BBQ sauces right to your table to slather on your selections. I will be back soon.

Delicious fusion casual dining. We went there for the first time today. Had the tostada w/ a side of Mac and cheese it was sooo good. Not too spicy, I added their AMAZING bbq sauce and green salsa (were told the bbq sauces are made every day). The portion sizes are perfect and it's super affordable (about $20 for two people 😳). My husband had a burrito and side of beans, the beans are very spicy and good. Meat is smoked on site, which provided THE BEST smells while devouring our meal. We will be back!!

Great food and service. We were driving by a week ago and saw the Hot dawg shop was no longer there, but we saw Caldwell County Mexi-Q and we were very intrigued. We'll we were able to get over for lunch and we were not disappointed. Chili Verde burrito wow! Full of flavor and and filling, brisket taco! Sensational!!! Mexican twinkies hubba-hubba ! Went here today and used the drive thru. Got a Mac and cheese dog and a chili dog with cheese and onions. Their dogs are great. The size of the dog is larger than most other fast food. The Mac and cheese dog was great. The buns were soft and fresh too, I couldn't finish all they were so big!! Well worth the $$!!! Service was fast too. Will be back to try the Cole slaw and brisket dogs!! Love this new place!! Edit: went back this week for the slaw and brisket dogs. Whoa! That brisket dog was to die for! They make cross cuts on the dog, so the flavor releases during cooking. Yum!

First visit but it won't be the last. We watched as they turned the space into its current form. All beef hot dogs grilled perfectly. Enough toppings to make it interesting and they have deli mustard which is the perfect "sauce" for a mesquite grilled dog. Their potato salad was also very good with red peppers chopped in it. Something different from the standard mayo & mustard with onion and pickle relish fare we get in the Midwest. Definitely will be a regular lunch spot.

I live really close to two different hot dog places, Higley Dog and Mugsy Dogs, but I prefer to drive out of my way to Clay Dawgs as they are so much better than the rest. If you are looking for a great hot dog this is the place!! The dining room is a little small but otherwise this is a solid choice of great hot dogs. Wow! So good! We had the General Patton sandwich, the mexi Twinkie, pinto beans and the birria tacos. The Tacos were possibly the best birria we've had. The beans were so unique with a tasty peppery spice. The Twinkie which is really like a bbq stuffed jalapeno popper was awesome and the general Patton sandwich was huge and amazing with the hot and sweet BBQ sauce. If you love brisket this is your place! Oh, we also had the Mac n cheese which was ok, but not nearly as good as everything else.

Wow that is tasty. It seems like a lot of money for a hot dog covered in brisket but it is really good and filling. One dawg with brisket is enough for. Satisfying lunch. The yummy sauce is home made Honey barbeque sauce and it is indeed yummy on the dawg. My dawg was piled high with toppings and quickly became a knife and fork meal rather than hand held.

Been excited for this place to open after watching them transform the old building into a fresh, new location. Visited on opening night and enjoyed the beef dog plus the brisket dog. Straightforward menu, great flavor, great selection of sauces, and accessible prices mean we will be back. Overall a great addition to the downtown area that massively improved a previously not so great spot.

Usually I’m suspicious when I visit hot dog stands/restaurants because they charge a lot and give you a Costco dog. But I tried clay dawgs today and realized this is the real deal. You don’t get these flavors anywhere else. I did the slaw polish dog and my husband did the brisket polish dog and it was very good. The meal was balanced and cooked very well.

They have a very small indoor eating area and a little wrap around outdoor porch for a quick meal or tables outsidein the back. There is also a drive through window. The beef sausage itself is pretty good but the bun is cheap, flavorless, and unenjoyable. Probably bought in bulk at Costco. They are also very stingy with their toppings. We paid $2 extra for brisket but hardly had any and there were just a few strands of sauerkraut. We tried their "yummy" sauce which is terrible tasting like oil and honey mix together. Not a bad dog but one I won't drive out of my way to get. I don't know why so many places can't figure out that a good sandwich needs a good piece of bread

UPDATE : Owner Clay Caldwell has converted what was Clay Dawgs into Caldwell County Mexi-Q. The menu is a fusion of BBQ and Tex-Mex that works really well. I had the birria taco served with consomme for dipping and a brisket tostado. The meat was tender, smoky, and generously portioned. I tried both the red and green salsas which did not disappoint. I would love to try the Texas Twinkies, brisket stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeños and the smoked pork verde burrito next time! The menu is well priced and the restaurant laid-back. They've converted the drive-thru into a covered patio with picnic tables. The patio and rail side seating on the porch make up for what little seating they have inside. I went the first week and sent some friends the next. They enjoyed the food as much as I did but mentioned they had to park down the street because of how busy the lunch rush was! You've got to try this place!

Had the Polish with chili co-hort had the "Dixie" brisket sandwich and potato salad. The meats were great on their own, but the BBQ sauce put everything over the top. The staff is wonderfully helpful at navigating the menu. It's a new place that needs to have french fries, and more indoor seating, but you need to try this place. We'd bet you'll be hooked!

Pleasantly surprised with the dogs here. The buns are soft (which is critical for a good dog) and the dogs themselves are flavorful and well seasoned. The Mac and Cheese has a small amount of peppers which kicks up the flavor a notch while keeping the spice mild. Will definitely visit again.

We are huge fans of Caldwell County BBQ on Power Rd in Mesa but recently read about how this second location put a teist on their fabulous BBQ with some Mexican fusion. Of course we couldnt pass on tje traditional Briskett which is amazing. But we also tried the Carnitas Tacos, the Twinkie whuch is a Cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeno that was incridible, and the Calabasitas remind me of the ones my Mother makes. Superb BBQ, get it while its still undescovered and the lines arent oit the door like they are at the location in Mesa. Thus place si just about half a mile north of the downtown Gilbert esteries minus the crowds.

They had only been open a week when I took my family to try their hotdogs. They were so good we went back the next day. Reasonably priced combo meals. The chili dawg is really good. This little joint is awesome! I'm allergic to HFCS and that is in a lot of sauces these days. I alerted then of the allergy and they made a polish sausage especially for me, without the sauce. The next time I came in they recognized me and knew to throw one on the grill for me. The kids working there are great! They really understand customer service.

The staff was awesome. We came at 8:50pm right before they closed and they did not rush us. We had a group of 9 and they patiently waited for us to wat and leave. Can't say enough good things about this place. It smells like heaven, first of all, and the fella at the register was attentive, friendly, enthusiastic, and was even a hit with my kids. Tables and lobby were spotless, and there's even outdoor dining for the health-conscious (or if you just want to enjoy Arizona's last few days of pleasant weather before the summer makes you question your life choices). But the crown jewel by far is the dawgs themselves -- juicy, sizeable, flavourful, smoky, and incredibly satisfying. Between the experience, atmosphere, flavor, and convenience of location, this should really be your spot of choice for a mouth-watering dawg. I know for a fact the kids and I will be back soon. 🤩

Just swung by after work for dinner. Drive thru, good outside bar seating and a small inside dining area. Staff was friendly and busy. I couldnt decide from their limited menu (good thing) and went with the chili dog combo ($8 for special dog) and a cookie ($2). Came out much faster than i expected. The dog was bigger than most, bun was warm and toasted, and the chili was decent. They serve miss vickie's chips and their cookies are homebaked (off site but same owner). Coke products with dr pepper to drink. Great little joint! Ill definitely be walking over often to try their different dogs.

We’ve been waiting for this place to open and the day is finally here. They’ve got great food, awesome customer service, and the place is clean and nice.
