What a fun (& delicious) place for breakfast! Fabulous waffles, crisp bacon, eggs, etc. Cute old signs on the wall & old time kitchen utensils. Fun waitress who cracked jokes while serving. Reasonably priced. Try it, you'll like it!! 👍

Great little hole in the wall breakfast place! I came here and really felt at home. The food is good and the prices are even better. My fiance never finishes a meal so the "lite breakfast" was perfect and cheap! I had the "Farmers breakfast" and it was delicious.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of beautiful Sun City, Arizona, you can easily really see why this quaint little restaurant is a cornerstone of the surrounding retiree community. Adorable garments adorn every square inch of the four walls, giving you the warmth and hospitality that one would remember from their grandparents home. The food is exquisite and the service is outstanding. Would recommend for any first time visitors to Sun City!

Very good food and service. Recommend for good breakfast if your out during the week. --I'm from Southeastern PA, and where I grew up we had tons of little family owned breakfast joints. This place reminds me of those places. If only they had scrapple and pork roll(Taylor ham). 😁

Cheapest breakfast in town! Coffee is $1. I got the hash and eggs. It was good. The service was great. My coffee cup wasn't ever empty. Saturday morning is busy, you might have to wait a couple of minutes. Our server paid us just the right amount of attention.

Delightful little family diner similar to what you might find on a road trip on Route 66. Serves breakfast and lunch.... Yummy burgers on a brioche bun or a fantastic Belgian waffle! It used to be Brenda's Kitchen and had quite the following, however, the locals continue and seem to love going there after new ownership. I just have to be careful about those waffles! Lol. It opens early like 6am and closes at 2pm but don't quote me on that. Edit Jan 14, 2023: Just came here for lunch and saw a sign that said Brenda's Kitchen is back. Yay!

I was pleasantly surprised at the small entrance but the very big dining area once you got inside. Very hometown feeling. Youngtown is a wonderful place anyway as far as I'm concerned. I live in Sun City right next door, but I will definitely be back again to try other things on this wonderful super heavy duty multiple selection. Friendly wonderful service, treated me like I was a regular.

Hidden off the main paths, this little breakfast/lunch joint is putting out some amazing food. Arizona Omelet was loaded with cheese, pickled jalapenos and pork green chili. The pork was super tender and well seasoned - I wish I could get the chili separately... really that good. Wife had the new item - pizza omelet. She said, just like a pizza without the crust - mozzarella, pepperoni, pizza sauce. She was very happy. Reasonable prices, great friendly service.

I so badly want to give this place 5 stars, but I had an experience the other day that ruined the chance of that happening. Let me preface this by saying that one server, Chelsea, is absolutely wonderful. She's attentive and kind, and never pushy. However the other server, an older lady who's name I didn't get, was not so great. With only 3 tables to serve, she managed to leave us waiting longer than we would at a packed Saturday night at Olive Garden. She forgot some of our order, and was quick to bring us the bill but slow to even acknowledge us while we waited to ask for take-home boxes. I met her eyes multiple times with a raised hand and she turned away, once to continue eating her own food at the counter, and another time to walk away from the diner floor and head to the kitchen. Now, let me wrap this up by saying one thing; The food here is absolutely the best I've had in a long while. The prices fall well within reasonable and the quality is fantastic. Just make sure when you walk in, you sit on the left hand side of the restaurant so that you'll be served by Chelsea.

Stopped here after an appointment in Sun City & so glad we did! I was going to order a Philly cheese steak sandwich but found out they make their own biscuits, so I ordered biscuits, gravy, & eggs. Staff was amazing & so friendly, the order came pretty fast. The biscuits would have flown away if not covered in the homemade gravy! Everything was SO good!

This is the best breakfast I've had in a really long time. Waitress was really friendly, down to earth and caring. And Brenda came to our table and asked us about the food. I never write reviews or give 5 stars but I'll defenenly be coming back and I live in Tucson.

This is a hard review to write. We went for breakfast on a Tuesday and it was so good! Great service, great food, friendly environment. So we went back again today. However today's server Stacy P was the change. She was completely incompetent. Several of her tables seemed to be waiting. We heard her tell a customer that she forgot to put the order in. We watched her burn the toast over and over, so people went without. Including us! We overheard her tell another customer that the new owners made it hard because the installed a computer system. I don't see how the computer caused her forgetfulness. The friendly atmosphere was gone because the waitresses were bickering with each other and the cook Oh what a difference one waitress can make! Still highly recommend this restaurant!

A hidden jewel in the West Valley. Brenda's is located in Youngtown just South of Grand Avenue. The friendliest owner and staff. The food is excellent good old American comfort food. Nothing too fancy.... just the way I like it. They support local businesses, churches and non-profits like AARP Historic Chapter #1 by wearing their T-Shirts every month. Highly recommend you give them a try.

A hidden gem, a hole in the wall, a great experience hiding unless you go out and find it! This place is a delightful establishment! The staff is the first to be complimented. I have been here over 10x and each time we will either have the same server, or a different one. Either way none of them dissapoint and are always so courteous, funny, and respectful. The environment is one to enjoy IF YOU HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR. You'll just need to go in and find out for yourself on exactly what I mean. Now for the food. Fish fry Friday is our normal day to visit. Absolutely delicious and good quantity of food! Not badly priced as well. But for the rest of the menu, I've had burgers, sandwiches, most breakfast items, and even some of their dinner items. None have disappointed. The only con I have is this place isn't BIGGER!! They get very busy and it causes a long wait. But they're very quick with bussing tables and getting you seated ASAP. Test it out, and find out how awesome this place is.

This is the best Mom and Pop place to eat in Youngtown! Very very inexpensive but the food is outstanding. I had biscuits and gravy, biscuits are homemade every morning. Gravy is nice and thick and creamy. Small venue but worth it. They are closed on weekends 😞. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about the menu.

Delicious little place for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were amazing. Bacon was nice and crispy and I'm not usually a fan of sausage but it came with my breakfast and it was sooo good, probably the best sausage I've ever had. Bottomless coffee and fast, friendly service made this place a hit! The only disappointment was the home fries. I like mine crispier. But the homemade biscuits made up for it!

Food was Great as well as the Service. Sadly I Can never eat here again! Because they stopped Weekend Service! Went over for breakfast Saturday morning 1/15/22 To find a sign saying "No longer open on the weekends, because of the higher minimum wage" That Sucks! Now I gotta go find another Breakfast spot. Because some of us work weekdays and can not eat there mon-fri. What I don't understand is Why does the higher minimum wage not affect the Mon-Fri service????? Sorry But Im really bummed out because I was really liking this place.

This homespun restaurant has the most friendly and attentive staff and waitresses that I have ever seen in my 64 years of life. The food is always very tasty. I am exceptionally impressed with the flavor of the coffee, the steel-cut oats oatmeal, the pears and cottage cheese and the wide variety of lunch specials. My husband and I have been staying for 2 weeks at the nearby Quality Inn. They provide a full breakfast. Although we like it there, we had to escape the heavily salt laden breakfast selections and bitter coffee! I finally found the BEST cup of coffee at Brenda’s Kitchen! Brenda is actually there to visit and make you feel welcome!

Only 3 stars due to the fact they charge a fee to use a debit and credit card but they don’t tell you because it’s posted on the door along with many other flyers. Came here for years and always used a debit card. Only noticed this visit since my receipt went into a higher dollar amount. Won’t be back. They should have advised me when I presented my card. It’s a shame since they do have really good home cooked food. But...that’s deception to their customers. Not a nice way to treat their customers. Thumbs down 👎👎👎

Finally, an excellent breakfast diner. Owner Brenda did a great job with service and friendly banter. All the food was fresh and delicious. The sausage gravy and chipped beef gravy were the best I've had in decades. Coffee cup was never empty. I'll be back.

Great staff,reasonable prices. Breakfast time very busy. Most items, sausage is frozen patties, not best quality either, when busy food is warm, not hot and coffee not always fresh. Generally an older crowd, who of course linger over food etc, creating a longer wait for a table. Think standards have gone down a but compared to a year ago. More frozen/microwaved food being used.

Oh My Goodness!! A friend and I met here for breakfast and to catch up. I love smaller Mom and Pop type joints vs corporate monstrosities and visit them when possible. Where do I start? Service: Our waitress was friendly, thoughtful and funny ... just like we are so that was great. We told her we would be there for a while, catching up and monopolizing her table. She was cool with it. Food: Food was good. I had an egg, bacon & english muffin (pretty hard to mess up and my friend had the BLT. It was full of bacon like a real BLT should be! Atmosphere: Cozy. And by that I mean small. They do a quick turnover with customers, we were there from 9 to 11 and they were "full" a few times. But you sign up on the list and I don't think we saw anybody wait longer than 5 minutes. PS ... to the wonderful patron who paid our check, thank you. We both have paid it forward!

I gave it 3 stars for the quality of service, and for the eclectic decor and atmosphere. It's small inside, can get extremely busy. They close crazy early and to my knowledge are not open on weekends. They have changed hands a couple of times in the last couple of years, and that has effected pricing and food quality. Not my first go to but not bad either.

First time there. The service is very good. My husband loved his rueban sandwich and the fact thta they provided thousand islands dressing. I however ordered the chicken fried steak. It was the thinest amount of meat i have ever seen in one. It was so thin that when they fried it? It was a hard fried thing. The gravy was fantastic. I don't see myself coming back though.

i love Brendas . the people, both in front of counter and in the kitchen are fun. the food is good. the prices are great. i had the vehetarian omelet and many many cups of coffee as i visited with my uncle. been there many many times and its one of my favorite breakfast spots.

Omgoooodness i am so picky and hard to please when it comes to my food especially my breakfast food almost everywhere i eat from mcdonalds to olive garden they mess up my order this place has the most outstanding staff from cooks to servers to owner super great attitudes and they truly aim to please when i first walked in i was the youngest and a minority not to mention and honestly didn't know what to expect it was so packed with seniors i figured like everywhere else like this id get the cold shoulder but quite the contrary instead of waiting so long they politely asked if i would be willing to join another gentleman named Doug who was also dining Alone so that we could get eating it was the best first experience I've ever had he was great conversation and like the staff non judgemental and very genuinely polite the food especially the biscuits and gravy were the best I've ever had in 32 states in fact i was so pleased i paid for Doug's meal along with my own. Not only did he thank me but so did the staff! I honestly don't know why there isn't 10 locations! I wish i could eat here24/7 the prices are so very affordable for the quality food you are served no complaints what so ever! Thank you Brendas Kitchen you're the best!!!

Then out the corner of my eye I saw something that appeared to be glowing and screaming “I’m the breakfast you could never find” and immediately swooped in the parking lot and strolled right on in. To realize I just found a hidden gem! Like a diamond in the rough. Smiling faces happy banter and overall what I would easily call the happiest place in sun city Arizona. I definitely stuck out like a sore thumb but was treated like I have been going there for years Thank you Brenda and the gang!
