We drove in for a dance competition and, after 3 hours, had to feed some hungry kids. We were seated quickly and given menus to look at. The menu was simple, and they had daily specials available. My kids enjoyed their cheeseburger, fish & chips, and strawberry french toast. My husband and I also enjoyed the fish & chips but the star of our meal was the clam chowder special! The chowder was absolutely delicious!!

Wonderful menu selections! EVERYTHING....I MEAN EVERYTHING, is 100% delicious and cooked to order. Don't miss an opportunity to try the fare here! Below is Eggs Benedict Florentine and a Crab Omelet. BOTH were SOOOOOoo good!

Staff was really friendly but tried the Ruben and pork tenderloin and should have went with a burger. Googles searched best Ruben and it was good but I would not get it again. The kids cheese burger looked good.

My favorite thing about Louie M’s was the purely Omaha feel and the fun nostalgic decor. Breakfast was good and they accommodated my special request for something slightly different from what was on the menu. If you want a slice of Omaha and Americana this is the place to got!

We came here after a long day at the zoo. The staff was friendly and we were seated right away. Our food came out quick and did not disappoint. We all ordered burgers except one child ordered a mickey mouse pancake. The pancake was as big as her plate! The burgers don't come with fries so we ordered 2 baskets and a basket of onion rings. The burgers are big and juicy. Everything inside is clean and exactly the type of place we look for when travelling. We like those small restaurants in the towns we are in. It was awesome. There is parking on the street, but also a small lot in the back. We forgot some sunglasses and the waiter ran them out to us before we left.

This was my first time at this restaurant. It was recommended by a friend of mine. I had the biscuits and gravy with 2 scrambled eggs 🥚 and everything was very tasty 😋. My friends both had hamburgers, and they were happy with their selection. Servings were generous, and service was quick. There were a lot of people waiting to be seated 💺. It has a very nice atmosphere and I will be going back again soon. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We stopped by for a nice evening meal. The waitress, Lucy, was extraordinary! The outside seating was spacious and comfortable. We ordered the Nachos as a starter. I am not a fan of deep-fried flour tortillas but my wife liked them. Tina's Burger was delicious; slight reminder of Italian sausage, while still maintaining the burger flavor. I had the special; a fried onion, bacon, garlic burger with Bree cheese. UNBELIEVABLE! For dessert we tried the Kalua Shake, which had the perfect balance of Kalua and ice cream.

Louie M's Burgerlust has been on my radar for awhile so we stopped in for lunch. The place was crowded but we seated ourselves without waiting. The decor was very cute and inviting. The waitstaff came right over and offered drinks. I wanted to order a burger since that seems to be their specialty. They had many to choose from and I settled for the Guacamole, Bacon, Cheddar Burger while my companion got the Tracy Burger. We also ordered a basket of Onion Rings and drinks. The food arrived fairly quickly and looked appetizing. A separate plate arrived with toppings like lettuce, tomato, onion & pickles for the both of us to share. Condiments were plentiful and already on our table. The burger patties were huge, at least 6oz. and cooked to juicy perfection. The buns were buttered and toasted on the grill. The Onion Rings were thick cut and crispy. Our waitress was attentive and professional. We spent around $30 plus tip which was a bargain for a great meal in a cute place with great service. I highly recommend and we will be returning to dine at this establishment again.

Absolutely delicious. The eggs were fluffy, hashbrowns were crispy, and the chicken fried steak was definitely homemade. I got a hotcake on the side, and that was the perfect way to finish the meal. I put in my order and got my food in 5 minutes, at most. I ate my food and was out the door. Puts Lisa's to shame in my opinion. GO TO LOUIE M's, IT'S AN OMAHA STAPLE.

It wasn't like, the best food I've ever had ever, but it wasn't expensive enough to expect that. In fact, it was very good for the price. The atmosphere was very cute and dinner like. The service was good and friendly. They clearly have regulars that enjoy their business and they treat them with respect. Very cute place. Glad we checked it out!!

We had never been there before but went to brunch on Sunday. Took grandma and 5 kids so there were 8 of us, called ahead and they set us up in the back room which was perfect and no wait. Service was great and super friendly food was delicious and well priced. (Corned beef hash was amazing) Definitely going back for a burger!

Great experience for weekday lunch. I had a delicious patty melt that was cooked just right. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing everyone was friendly and I enjoyed the ambiance with lots of area history memorialized on the walls.

Whether you want breakfast or lunch, Louie Ms won't disappoint. It's known as Burger Lust for a reason! I enjoyed a Jalapeno Cheddar burger and added an egg. Wow! They close early (3pm), so don't be late!

Staff was super friendly and attentive. I had the corned beef and cabbage and it was DELICIOUS! They have burgers, fries, rings, breakfast dishes and Pepsi products. I think they have Coke in bottles, too.

Really great food, fries were a little cold but the cinnamon roll was amazing and the Italian beef burger was seasoned really well and the Philadelphia chesesteak (with chicken is really favorable and the place has amazing waitresses. Would recommend this place to eat.

We arrived around 11 am. Torn between breakfast or lunch. Elected on lunch due to the name being BurgerLust. We also had the chili’s, both kinds. All the food was great. Quality burgers. The fries were ok. The onion rings were awesome. Bloody Mary was good and had spice. The service was quick and quality. Try it.

Had a great breakfast/brunch here on our road trip from TN. Service was great, place was busy, food was really good. Had to try local biscuits and gray. Gravy was very good, biscuits a little different than in the south but fine. Girlfriend had a Reuben, had been craving one all morning. Didn't disappoint, it was really good.

If you love that old school dinner experience this is the place! Tried a cheese burger with fried and it was delicious. For dessert I had a chocolate cake it that was chocolatey but not too sweet topped it off with coffee. Food was well priced. Highly recommend.

We loved it! We were in the Omaha area and a friend of mine suggested Burgerlust. It was a bit of a trip to find but worth the time. The food was great, that real old time dinner feel. Real food made well. Plus the atmosphere and decor was impressive too. I will be coming back the next time I am in that area.

The staff was very attentive. The burgers are all cooked well-done to perfection. They have some unusual combinations, especially in their daily specials. While burgers are the main menu item, they do have other entrees. The thin fries were excellent. All burger platters come with lettuce, pickles, and onions on the side so you can assemble the burger as you like.

The Avodo and bacon burger was great. Onion rings were crispy and lightly seasoned. Burger is better without pickle, onion and lettuce served on the side plate. Do yourself a favor and don't add the extras. I took one bite without before adding them. Customers were called by name and it was really cool to see a packed table of veterans in their 70s and up giving each other crap🤣

Neat little resteraunt. There was a big rush right after we arrived at 1150am. Took about 20min from sitdown until we got our food even with the big rush. The food was good and a good value for the price.

Every town has one - that diner that's "the hub of the town". This is that place! Great atmosphere, family owned. And guess what? The food is great!! (P.S. Don't miss the stack of pancakes - pour syrup all over 'em and dig in!)

Food was good, not great. I would go again. Had a kids menu with crayons that were about $5 a kid. The owner came buy and gave all the kids golden chocolate coins that they love. Reasons why I didn’t give five stars: Felt like I had to chance the waitress down too many times and did t love for hamburger. I wanted to love it. The hamburger was good, but not on my personal list of great hamburgers. Additional notes: I’m glad parking was free. The atmosphere and ambiance was really cool.

First things first, the classic cheeseburger was top notch. If you want a great cheeseburger, that's precisely what you'll get. They have several other varieties of burgers on the menu, but I found myself underwhelmed or uninterested in all of them. I relented and gave the Italian burger a try. While certainly tasty, it just wasn't as good as the standard cheeseburger.

I'm not from the Omaha area. I found my new favorite burger place, if you can call it that. My lady had the breakfast burrito. It was massive, bursting from the seams with bacon and flavor. The green chili was perfect and the other ingredients are fresh. I had the Italian Burger with a side of fries. Let's start with the deep fried potato sticks first. They were piping hot. For an unsalted French fry, they were tasty. Portion size was good. Now to the main event, the burger. The bun was warm, dense, buttery, and lightly grilled. If they don't bake them I house, then there must be a bakery across the street. The marinara sauce IS made in house. Rich, bold, and overflowing with goodness. This sauce drizzled over there hand-made patty. This was no ordinary beef patty. This was a 1/2 pound of Italian infused beefy goodness. The cheese was gooey, hot, and everywhere! This burger is by no means "beard friendly" but that's what napkins are for. Service was top notch. The staff was super friendly and professional. Everyone was upbeat. They treated me like a regular and after this experience, I will be. This is my destination for all foodstuffs when I'm traveling. I didn't have a chance to talk to the owner, but he seems oldschool and laid back. He was chatting with a group of regulars. The atmosphere was awesome. The prices are great. Same price as a Burger King, but trust me. You won't get the same experience. 10/10 my new favorite burger place.

Went twice to Louie M's...brunch and breakfast on Sunday...eggs Benedict were amazing. As was the top of the mark bloody Mary with a piece of bacon slice and celery and pickel all on a skewer!! Awesome presentation!! Friend had feta and spinach omelette.. covered in cheese and lots of spinache.well worth the prices. 11-13 dollars roughly.

Tucked on the curve with is awning and out side patio on Vinton this is voted 1 in omaha for a reason. The service is better then any place I've ever been, friendly small and personal. The food is exceptional as well as the quirky photos that step back into omahas history. Great for every one. I suggest trying a bloody Mary any time your there. The price was very affordable as well.

I'm pretty sure this is a family run establishment. The staff were all very friendly and I enjoyed watching the comrade between them. The owner was making rounds making sure everyone had everything they needed and even sat down and talked with one patron who was waiting for the rest of his party. I'm not a burger person but, since that is what they are known for, I had to try one. I had the Dijon Swiss Mushroom Burger. It was huge and delicious! I added a side of fries and they were great too. I like the atmosphere and it was clean. I will definitely make a point to come back next time I'm here.

Louie M’s Burger Lust delivers a good burger, but comparable to other burgers in my opinion. They have a pretty good selection to choose from along with condiments to go with them. When we went there the service was very slow. It took us almost 20 minutes before a waitress even came to ask us for orders. She was nice and courteous, but the facility didn’t appear to staff well enough to get quicker service. The seating is also very small so if you are going with multiple people, it will be shoulder-to-shoulder when sitting together. I would go there again if in the area, but not intentionally if looking for a great meal.

Food incredible Staff friendly but overworked. Really loved the breakfast offerings here. Had the egg sandwich and hashbrowns. One of those places you could return multiple times in order to try everything on the menu. Casual dining room. Street parking, but oddly plentiful. Lots of group tables and individual tables as well. Menu oddity: Pepsi fountain products, but real cane sugar Coca-Cola bottled in Mexico.

Louie M's is high quality burger food. I had the taco burger, and it was perfect. I also shared a basket of onion rings with a friend of mine, and the onion rings were nice, hot, and crispy. The service was gracious, and they have good amounts of outdoor seating (if that is what you want). The service was quick and thorough. All in all I enjoyed my experience.

Breakfast with friends 😋. Great food, service,staff and surroundings. One of the regulars at the Round Table. I guess we are regulars to us in our friends meet there at least twice a month for breakfast. Owner Louis and his son jack are on site and very personable.

Great burgers and great breakfast items. The prices are very reasonable. The portions are big. You will get full. Cool memorabilia all over the place. Service is pleasant and efficient. If the owner is in, he goes to every table to chat and to be sure your meal is prepared for your liking. It is kind of like a downhome, neighborhood gathering place, but everyone is welcomed. There is as bit of seating outside during fair weather months as well.

Our waiter Adan was simply amazing. Our son gave him 10/10! Everything was fantastic (had to cut the guac bacon burger in half to easily handle its goodness). Onion rings are perfection! I don't usually give five stars but between the food and service they deserve it. The homemade ricotta meatball appetizer was great as was the onion rings. The burgers were delicious. The patty was a little large for my taste but the flavors were there. I had a bacon, cheddar and blue cheese. The owner and our server were very attentive. Of course it helped that our group included a customer that dines there frequently but they still went above and beyond. We definitely will be back.

Louie M's Burgerlust is PHENOMENAL!!! For starters, the service and wait staff are professional, courteous and SUPER PERSONABLE! The food is EXCELLENT!!! I had the Spicy Bacon and Peanut Butter Burger.... It was a thing of beauty to.look at and to taste!!! Also their fries are hot and fresh and the garnishments (tomatoes, pickles, onions, etc) are fresh and tasty. To top it off -- they are VERY REASONABLY PRICED!!!! Service FIVE STARS!!! Food -- FIVE STARS Price -- FIVE STARS!!!!

Took forty years to get there, but very happy I finally made it. One of the best burgers I've had in Omaha in a long time. Reasonable prices. Very friendly (and yep, masked) staff. Parking in the back. Well worth going - again!

Family and I liked them a lot. Great burgers and good fries. They didn't have an exceptional amount of variations of a burger, but the ones they had were really good. The cook came out and asked how our burgers were. The ingredients were real and staff personable. Only 3 stars as it took a little longer than expected to get the burgers to our table as it wasn't busy. I'd go back again!

Stopped here because it is right across the street from the art gallery where my daughter debuted her art... And I will be going back for the food, the next time I am in Omaha. My daughter really enjoyed her Mozzarella Burger. My granddaughter had the Mickey Mouse pancakes and I was envious, they smelled wonderful and were practically an adult portion! The bacon that I stole was really crispy and tasty :-) I had the Malibu chicken and it was excellent. The tender chicken breast was sticking out both sides of the reasonably sized bun, it had good cheesy flavor and the ham was distinct and flavorful as well. I ordered without a side and both my daughter and I received a complimentary onion ring. I ate both. I'll order the onion rings next time! As mentioned, I'll definitely be going back to Louie's, it's too bad they are an hour drive away...

Great place! I tried it for the first time this weekend when in town for a conference. Wonderful burger and fries. Fantastic, friendly staff who seated me quickly. My food came out fast and they did a great job checking on me. They owner passed by and said hello and asked how I was doing. I loved The old brick inside and the decorating. Great music that wasn’t too loud. I had a great experience! I will definitely return.

Our server, Echo, was very nice and talkative. She answered any questions we had about the menu and was very fast in getting us drinks and getting our orders in the kitchen. The burgers rank in the top 5 best I've ever had. There was a wide variety of toppings and styles to choose from. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I strongly recommend.

Wow I should have tried this place sooner! We had the Meat Omelet, Pancake, and Chorizo Scramble! The portions are excellent. The food is fresh and homemade. Flavor is off the charts. They are really talented at balancing spice/heat with flavor. I sampled their Pork Green Chili and it is amazing as well. I cannot wait to try this place for lunch. Service was great and the place has a very unique and fun vibe to it. The food that is handmade is fantastic - loved their burgers. They have some odd quirks though that are less impressive however. The guacamole on my burger was just the tube-squeezed stuff from the store, so it was rather underwhelming. Overall a pretty good dive to check out.

Stopped here for lunch while taking a break from the zoo nearby. Prices are reasonable, service very good and the food was memorable. I have not had a burger that good in a long time. Their hot sauce selection was solid too (at least 4 different kinds). I am not usually a french fry person but Louie's has very good fries as well. Cannot go wrong if you want a good burger for great value here.

This place is a hidden gem among hidden gems. Its tucked away but for a good reason as it wouldn't be the same if you couldn't get a seat. The staff were more than warm and friendly as it felt like a friends place you've know forever. The food, oh my, generously gorgeous and packed with delight. Make sure you have some coffee as even that made me want to stay a while, but helped with not taking a nap after eating.

Since starting to travel with my child I haven't found a restaurant that in my opinion does it better even the over the top kids restaurants. The food was fantastic every bite was perfect the service was impressive as a man who works in the restaurant world it surprised me I believe everyone working interacted with us and it was awesome. I read great things about his place, so it was on my list when I visited Omaha. I came away totally disappointed. My burger was overcooked and under-seasoned. There was absolutely nothing special about it. What's more, service was extremely poor. The waitress never came back after giving us our food, so we sat with empty cups. They didn't even bother to come back and give us the check. Had to go up to the front and ask for it. We had the exact opposite experience at 11-Worth. Good food and amazing service.

THE FOOD IS AMAZING! The original Louie M's burger is laterally the best cheeseburger I've ever had! Refills were given before my first drink was halfway gone. The cook even came out to make sure everything was good. We were checked on multiple times by all the staff. This is a small sort of mom and pop place to eat. I was slightly discouraged when i walked in because its not very big and a bit cluttery. I was immediately greeted and seated. My waitress was so polite and friendly, she also was very patient with my son thowing crayons and the menus around which i really appreciate because kids will be kids! This place is truly a diamond in the rough!

Ok. I haven’t been here in about 20 years. Someone reminded me about Louis m’s so I gave it a go. I did an order for takeout and the staff there really made you feel at home. Considering I Don t even know these fine folks. I ordered my stuff and is was ready in about 8 minutes. When I got home I realized they forgot the bacon I ordered in my burger. My fiancee and I actually ate here a little over a year ago, but since I just joined local guides I knew I had to leave a review now. We talk about this place being the best burgers we've ever had at least once or twice a month since we've been. We happened across Louie M's looking for food on our way out of Omaha from visiting the zoo and it has stuck with us as one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was so charming, and the food was incredible! I got the feta burger and I've had feta cheese on my burgers at every chance ever since (though none are as good as the one I had at Louie's.) We "joke" about making the three hour drive to Omaha just for these burgers again, and to try the breakfast, and I think at this point it's almost completely stopped being a joke at all. Can't wait to go back!

Saw the reviews and thought I'd check it out for myself. My coworker and I were driving from Columbia, MO to West Point, NE and back in a day. We needed some place along the route, and this place fit the bill. Most complaints are about bad service when they're busy. So we went around 2pm on a week day, and we're one of 2 occupied tables. I expected the Bleu cheese burger to be more than a burger with Bleu cheese. Maybe it would have some onion straws or special seasoning or sauce, but nope, just a burger with cheese on a bun. That being said, it was surprisingly really good! There were a couple bottles of sauce on the table, and they made it even better. I asked if the clam chowder was from a can, and when the waitress told me it wasn't I ordered a cup. The clams were tender and grit free. The potatoes still had their red skin on them. I only lamented ordering the cup instead of the bowl. My business associate ordered the Trish Burger, and he was impressed by it. His wife did not appreciate hearing that he was lusting after Trish. It's all about the context. I'd like to say I'll be back, but it's a 10 hour round trip drive from where I live, so probably not. If you like a great burger at a reasonable price, try this place out when they're not busy. Note to the restaurant owner. Please switch to Coke, and sell Pepsi bottles. I am glad that you at least had Coke bottles.

This place is diner nostalgia. The dishes don't match, you're drinking your coffee out of an old Menards mug and the signage is from all over. There is a constant din hovering over head but it just adds to the ambience. The food is good, the portions are large and the prices are great. If you're looking for a classic diner with wonderful comfort food, you've found the place. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. The picture below shows all of your condiment options available on every table. It's crazy! What restaurant has 6 hot sauce choices available yet alone have them on each table??

The people here are great, the food is pretty good and prices low. They have like 20 condiments on each table, which I like because I like to drown my fries. My only real complaint about the place is that they never cook my hamburger rare. I have been here maybe 20 or 30 times, my family loves it, but my burgers are always well done. I get it if that is their policy, but say something when I order it. Each time I go I order with my fingers crossed.

Extremely juicy burger until the very end, the cajun burger was well balanced in flavors. The homemade corn beef and hash was also made of excellent quality products and was very good. Unfortunately service lack some with the outdoor dining, but it was a nice day. The waitress did stop by once, but other staff pitched in to help her out with drinks, order taking, etc. All in all a great experience.

I have been going to this place for almost ten years. I have very good memories attached to the restaurant. The food is very good, breakfast especially and it is served quickly (usually in and out in 20 minutes or less) and with a smile. The prices are very reasonable. Even if I go a month or two between visits I am remembered and welcomed with a smile and how are you. The burgers are good and I recommend the guacamole bacon burger, but I haven't had a bad meal ever. The owner is very supportive of military personnel. I make it a point to eat there any time I am in Omaha.

Awesome burgers!! Good, hearty and delish ! I got Lou's Favorite, a Blu cheese bacon burger with jalapenos and I wish I had ordered two! The restaurant was a homey throwback with a cozy feel and the staff was attentive and layed back. I was on vacation for Labor Day weekend and will definitely be coming back to sample more of their burgers.

So I went off Google reviews, and turned out great. My kids had cheeseburgers and loved them. I tried the sliders with the Trish, Louie and a special burger. Though they were all really good I think the Louie was the best. The nachos were good too, but didn't even come close to the burgers. The staff was super friendly, which isn't common anymore. Definitely another two thumbs up there. My kids were begging to come back again on our way to the car. Seriously, if you're visiting Omaha (or if you live nearby) and like hamburgers, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

I've been a regular here for about 16 years. Best French toast in the 48 States and my reviews as a Trucker prove it. Born and raised in Omaha and moved away over three years. This is the first place I stop to eat everytime I return to the area. Louie M's is an iconic staple of old South Omaha. The burgers are great, but the breakfast is the best! Old school diner with available counter style seating surrounded by historical pictures and signs displayed on the walls. Good old fashion friendly service with Louie working the floor checking on the satisfaction of his patrons. I will forever love this place!

Louie M's is apart of the dying breed of restaurants. In my experience, it's rare to come across a small establishment that has amazing food, with even better service and Louie M's has it all. Enjoy this old school Omaha eatery. Lots of history/things to look at on these walls which makes it a fun environment to dine in. I’ve only been for breakfast twice and most recently enjoyed their 3 egg omelet. Ordered a side of the roasted jalapeños and onions with lime with my omelet- so good and packed a lot of spice!

It was a busy sunday and we had to wait for a seat which was fine. The establishment was so small and there were already lots of people waiting inside to be called for a table. The owners brother suggested we sat and waited outside. After about 40 minutes had passed I had my husband ask about our table because I had seen people who arrived later than us already seated. They told my husband that they had made a mistake and forgot about putting our names on the list and forgot about our table. It was horrible because I have 3 children under 3 and having them wait outside on a main road was exhausting. I was so annoyed and tired from waiting I was ready to walk out and go somewhere else and I believe it was the owners wife stopped me and apologized and said she would offer us 10% off and make me a mixed drink (mimosa) to make up for it. That was very sweet of her and it made the dining experience somewhat better. I do appreciate her offering the incentives but still I'm not sure I would go here again. The food was mediocre at best, and our silverware was dirty with old crusted food on them, and the tables were barely wiped down with food debre scrambled about. We just moved here from Las Vegas so I guess my dining expectations are a little too high for a place like Omaha.

The staff is friendly and the decor is fun and divey. However, these burgers don't deserve any sort of "best burger" award in my opinion. They were just cooked patties of meat, they weren't seasoned at all. The only thing that mildly saved the burger for my significant other was the hot sauce they have available on the table. I'm not a hot sauce kind of person so I was stuck with ketchup to try to give it any sort of flavor. I would try Louie M's again, but will remember to try something from the breakfast menu next time in hopes that it has more flavor.

The waitress didn't bring it some kitchen guy did. So I waited to talk to our waitress when she would come check on us but the next time we saw her she had our check in her hand. She never gave or offered us refills on any of our drinks, never asked us how our food was, she took our order and brought our check that's the only time we saw her.

So. I gotta say. This is one of the coolest little burger joints I've seen in a while. Walked in, warmly greeted, low light, cool old timey decorations, well appointed tables, really decent pricing. Waiter was prompt and friendly, but not overly, weirdly friendly. So I saw the Reuben on the menu, and I asked about it, and was told that its real corned beef brisket made weekly in house. So I ordered that, cos I have a midwest fat girl's love for Reuben. Man! How delicious! Tasty, moist, perfectly done corned brisket. After that delight, went outside with my homegirl to smoke a cig on the table. The owner is there with his buddy having a cigar! How cool is that! Got to chatting, had a nice convo. What a nice place. Will definitely return, highly recommend.

My first experience with Louie, Michelle and staff was when my first husband was deployed to Desert Storm. I called this my dining room because I could walk there and it made no sense to shop and cook just for me. Over the course of my time in Omaha I spent hours there each week studying for 3 more years of undergrad and 3 years of grad school. Louie became like a father to me-allowing me to hang out there and study...and encouraging my to stay focused in my studies. I miss you two and I am so happy to have Googled and found you are still thriving! Comparing notes with someone born and raised and currently living in Sarasota who lived in Omaha in the 90s...we found SO much to talk about! Louie's was my favorite topic!
