We had a reservation here and when we entered, the atmosphere was great. The staff were amazing and beyond patient with our group. When seeing their menu, the options listed were different than a normal restaurant. Wanting to try some stuff for the first time, we got the Goat Cheese Fondue and was surprised by how great it tasted and wanted more! I ordered a turkey burger and it was very tasty with the cranberry chutney. The best part about coming here was trying the Whiskey Cake. It is now my favorite cake EVER. I recommend this place to everyone to try at least once, or at least try the Whiskey Cake. I can't wait to come back here and try their Chicken & Waffles.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. First, big shout out to our server Rachel. She was able to explain the menu, give some background on the restaurant itself, and was a kind and attentive waitress. This location is locally sourced, scratch kitchen, farm-to-table. Everything we had while here was fresh, original, and delicious. We ordered the shrimp and grits which were delicious. I also tried out the sticky garlic wings on the test kitchen menu, I sure hope these become part of their full time menu because they were some of the best wings I have had. The basil aioli was delicious with the wings as well. It was so hard to choose an item from the menu because they have such a variety to pick from and everything looked so delicious. Will have to come back for the whiskey cake! Overall, a unique setting, rustic vibe, kind employees and such high quality great tasting food. Highly recommend you try this place out!

My husband and I have been traveling from California to North Carolina. We stopped into Whiskey Cake after shopping at Penn Square. What a FABULOUS surprise. Our server was great in explaining the concept and preparation of the cocktails and dishes. I was so excited to see vegetables on the menu (not too common on road trips). I was not disappointed. I truly enjoyed myself and highly recommend.

Wow what a place. Love the decor and atmosphere is phenomenal. The staff are very friendly and the place was clean. The service was great, from the moment I walked in to and got seated, every person said hello and made you feel welcomed. The food was terrific! I was told they source everything from local farms, etc. And it pairs perfectly with the atmosphere they are bringing to life. I did the The rotisserie bird, it was juicy and seasoned perfectly. I am very happy I randomly drove by this place and stopped in because it looked really cool on the outside. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Also, the bathrooms were very clean and very upscale feeling. Will be coming back!

This place is absolutely amazing! The menu cocktails are great, but if you have trouble deciding the amazing bartenders are more than happy to craft you something. Both the French toast and the whiskey cake are to die for! Probably the best I've ever had, and that's saying something since I'm a major foodie who lives for sweets.

Wesley, our server was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was decorated very comfortable. Far exceeded my expectations. This place is amazing! We came here on Christmas Eve and they made our night perfect! Our server was great! She explained everything also mentioned that they use only organic products and fresh squeezed juices! She recommended her favourite dishes and they were great! The ambience is nice and relaxing! I went with my mom today to get brunch, and let me say, the experience was SPECTACULAR. Now you may be wondering, what made this experience so spectacular, Arielle did. Arielle was our server, and let say that we was so nice, talkative, and welcoming. As visitors of Oklahoma City, she had a lot of great recommendations and let us in on all of the local spots. She showed us the menu and made sure to let us know what what she was most popular, and what she personally liked. Overall, I would come back. Everyone in there, that was spoke to, was super nice. The restaurant has a cool vibe and ambiance to it.

Saturday morning wonderful service. The hosts opened the door for you and whisked you off to your seat. A glass of water and a Jessica Wabbit (best veggie drink ever) was promptly brought to the table. There was a broad range of food to choose from. Our burgers were huge and we could only eat half. Whiskey cake was a must have and the cream on the side was the best part of the Whiskey cake. It gave it that something extra. Don't leave without the Whiskey cake, even if you need to get it to go.

Oh my goodness! Love love love our experience here. We did not have a reservation, but the wait was not too long. It would have been worth the wait if we had one! We had Cameron as our waiter, he has been there for 9 years and is absolutely wonderful! Food, service, atmosphere and everything in between. It's a must go to restaurant when in OKC!

First time here and the fresh, delicious taste of all the food is worth coming here. A variety of many vegan options are available on the menu and they offer Gluten Free buns as well. The wagyu burger (The Switch Up) was super delicious, not once did I put it down. I also ordered the Hot Hen. I rate the spice about the same as a spicy chicken sandwich from CFA. Made it on time for Social Hour and grabbed some $3 beers that were offered. The prices are worth what you eat. Everything was freshly made. We ordered the Whiskey Cake and Lemon Pie they had for dessert. We left with happy full tummies.

This place is doing it right......meaning - I want to come back here. Reservations were easy. Parking was available. Service was considerate, cooperative, and well organized - they played as a team and came to play. And the food was delicious. It was hot. It was presented well (the deviled eggs were served on a wood plank). It was comforting and tasty. And the titular dessert was extraordinary. Go here and get you some cake.

Had the customary chicken n waffles, just like I used to but the presentation and flavor had changed! There used to be a whole, thick strip of bacon baked into the waffle and everything was so well put together but on this trip, a Cpl years removed, everything was individually put separately on a smaller plate. Luckily, the Hulk drink and the look on my friend's face when she tasted the whiskey cake dessert, more than made up for it!

What a lovely restaurant. The food was so delicious and you know it's fresh and the cooks are putting their hearts into the meals. We are use to going more to steak or hamburger joints so this was a first farm to plate restaurant. And we will definitely be back. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with everything.

What a surprise to find this excellent restaurant! We went there in a whim, & discovered the best place to eat that we have found in a really long time. The ribeye was the best ribeye ever! Shrimp & grits, was not your typical plate. Of course the whiskey cake is out of this world! The amazing thing is that cook the food from local farmers. They don’t have a microwave in the kitchen. They just cook it & bring it to you. The plants outside are all herbs that they use! It’s really an incredible place to dine! Do yourself a favor & check it out! Sooner rather than later!

Their patio is the perfect spot for brunch! Everything was just spectacular and the service was amazing!! My order was brought out originally wrong and they quickly corrected it, remade it, and got me a new plate! This is one of our favorite brunch spots, it’s always a wonderful time!

I had the 3 Little Pigs sliders with fries and it was very good. My husband had the half bird with gouda ham Mac and cheese. Very good as well. Sorry I didn't get pics because presentation was amazing. But the most important part was the whiskey cake which was the most delicious dessert I have ever had from any restaurant. Toffee torte, bourbon anglaise, spiced pecans, whipped cream. Need I say more?? The menu is very eclectic. We enjoyed what we ate but I will go back for that dessert in a heart beat. A MUST!

Drive past this place many times and never went in. Very happy we did and will go again soon! Almost Everything is local and farm to table. The only complaint is the juice cocktail only has small amount of juice and lots of ice.

Waitress and hostesses we're friendly and professional! Loved most of the food. The chicken was disappointing. They said it was marinated for two days and was what they were know for, but it was bland. Wish I tried the pork chops or steak.

Oh my goodness this place is out of this world! The ingredients are so fresh and everything was delicious. We got the Texas Flight, Three Little pigs, creamy tomato soup, and of course we had to try the signature whiskey cake.. and oh-my-lanta!!!! It’s on another level of delicious!! When I tell you everything was DELICIOUS, I mean everything. We got the seasonal deviled eggs, they were wonderful. Fried green tomatoes (as a Georgian, I KNOW fried green tomatoes) and they were FREAKIN' Amazing. We had 4 dishes among us and they were all so flavorful and well prepared. It's uncommon for me to love all the dishes we get, but here, they all exceeded expectations. Totally Phenomenal. And the Whiskey Cake was indescribable. I see why they named the restaurantafter it! Even the drinks were good! 10/10 reccomend. And ask for Tyler G when you go! He was the very best.

Went for Mother's day brunch, excellent service and rustic atmosphere. Had delicious mimosas, goat cheese fondue, farmer's breakfast, and chicken and waffles. Highly recommended, along with the infamous Whiskey Cake

Hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had eating out in a VERY long time!! The service, the flavors, the drinks, the vibe AMAZING!!! We only found this place on the off chance heading to a separate place and then we back tracked and we are so thankful! Seriously if you live in OKC and aren’t trying this Farm to Table restaurant with the most personable service you are missing out. We live in Missouri but we will be back just to eat here, we can’t wait to sit on the covered patio with the fireplace. Truly an AMAZING place!!

Absolutely amazing!!! My wife is friends with the GM’s father and she remembered seeing him posting about this great restaurant and let me tell you, way better than I ever imagined. We made a reservation for tonight to celebrate our wedding with family and stopped by around 2ish to kinda get a feel for the place since we have never been. Drinks were mind blowing amazing and the bartender (hate to admit it but we can’t remember her name, she was wearing a red headband and was there for lunch and dinner) was just phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes took me back to my child hood but was way better tasting. The ribeye steak was melting in my mouth and my wife loved the short ribs. We will be back for sure…. Our experience at Whiskey Cake OKC on our last two visits has been great. Our server was extremely helpful and accommodating especially getting appetizers in early for the children dining with us. After eating our duck wings the waiter even brought us moist dinner napkins to clean our hands with before the main courses were brought out. Both of our steaks were cooked medium rare and we're done perfectly. I would say my only unmet desire would have been a little more seasoning on the steak, but the butter on top replaced that missing bit of flavor. Great dining experience and would highly recommend. West went above and beyond for us! We have a little teething 11 month old that needed some green onions for his gums and West went out of his way to find some and even peeled some onions for us! OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Salmon was some of the best I've ever had & the grilled veggies were SO good, for being grilled veggies!! My friends had shrimp & grits: "delicious!" & the charcuterie board was FANtastic! Every bit of it was super delicious! We even bought some cheese to take home! And then.....the WHISKEY CAKE...OMG!!!! Excellent service, good price point. Definitely returning!!

First timers and the food was amazing!! We had the fried green tomatoes, goat cheese and deviled eggs and they were all amazing! For entrees there were many ordered including the cheese burger, chicken melt and rotisserie chicken which were all great as well. To finish off the whiskey cake is a must try. I should of ordered another slice to go. The service was great!! Highly recommended!

Great place with great food. They switch up there menu from time to time but are always making good stuff. We went with our family after Sunday service for a Bruch. Enjoyed everything about this place. Some of the menu is pricy but there are also things that are affordable. If you are in OKC you may want to check it out.

These folks know their whiskey! I came here after eating somewhere else so I can't speak for the food. They have a whiskey bible with hundreds of selections. You can make a flight out of any of their whiskey's or buy one of their pre-designed flights. I ordered the Scotch flight and it was a lot of fun. I also decided to try one of their cocktails called the Rogue Rabbit. It was delicious and well-made. You know you want some whiskey!

Everytime I come here I'm never disappointed! The food is fresh like the garden is in the back. The atmosphere is sexy, yet laid back and the service alone is 5 star. Enjoyed a beautiful Valentine's Day dinner with my love. We had a great bottle of Pinot Grigio topped with the Whiskey flight.. yeah, we were on a mission! 😂 I ordered the Pappardelle pasta, very creamy..I love the fresh black pepper and sundried tomatoes in this dish. This is the place for date night and any special occasion. Will return!

The vibe is great, very chill, but busy! Delicious food, great staff, and great drinks! I tried the Tri Tip Dip fries, and "social hour" old fashioned. Everyone from the door to the table side, and in the kitchen (we were seated by the kitchen area) seemed very presentable and happy to be there. My sandwich was way better than I expected, that bread is just such a good choice for soaking up the au jus! The meat was tender, well seasoned and just so good. The fries were good, even though I do prefer thicker fries, these were some good crispy bois. They have a little rotating menu that seemed cool and might offer a nice variety on repeat visits.

This was my first visit to Whiskey Cake and I was impressed. The place was packed on Saturday night and we had reservations but still had to wait an extended period. Fortunately the food was worth the wait. We were told that they locally sourced their food and that everything was prepared fresh. I had the chicken and waffles and it was the best I've ever had. The chicken tenders were excellent, fresh, hot, and delicious. The eggs and waffle were prepared perfectly. My portions were great, but a couple of people in the party were disappointed with the portion size. Two standouts in the group was the bacon appetizer, and someone ordered the bread pudding, which was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and positive, however they never refilled my tea. I'll also say they lean heavily on this being a bar, the music was great, but too loud to have a conversation with someone across the table. I imagine if having drinks with friends was a focus this would be a good fit. I'd definitely come back for more of those chicken and waffles, but I'll make sure I go with the right crowd.

When you have totally enjoyed a restaurant over n over its just difficult to not let your eyes be bigger than your stomach. 10 days of restrictive eating and i come here. Lol Shrimp n grits, Mac n chees and a Whiskey cake.. I was done after shrimp n grits .. has bacon which sorta threw me off.. but great dish. Mac n cheese was to heavy of a side for me, however good flavor and filling.. thst finished me off but Gosh how can one pass on their Whiskey cake.. Just give me the cream, icing and pecans.. lol

Went here last night for my birthday and it was a great experience. I had the sirloin and it was an absolute perfect Medium-rare. My husband ordered the chef's special, wanting to be surprised. It was a very large falafel wrap..he said it was the best he'd ever had. We of course had to get whiskey cake while there..one piece is enough for 3! It is covered in caramel and topped with pecans, served with homemade thick whipped cream! The atmosphere is farmhouse style, but still classy. Service was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. Unfortunately, I think the only picture I took was my blurry cake....sometimes when its so great, you miss getting a picture.

Great atmosphere, great food. I got the "bird" and it was delicious. Could've been a bit bigger, but it was great. Wife had the beef and noodles. They tasted good but were definitely country style in that they didn't have much flavor to them. We ended the meal with the whisky cake which was very soft and decadent. I dropped by here to get a bite to eat before I went to the movies at the mall. It is a great place. I was attracted by their stacks of wood outside which told me that they cook over hot coals and fire. I was intrigued and so I went inside. It's a big place with lots of seating and places to sit outside. I decided to sit at the bar and order some food. As I was in a little bit of a hurry I just ordered their double burger and french fries. They were both very tasty and you could tell that the meat patties were grilled and not fried. This place also has a very impressive collection of whiskeys hence the name of the restaurant. I did make the mistake of ordering a custom whiskey flight. They have pre chosen flights but I had already had tasted the ones they had listed. So I decided to do a custom flight thinking it would be the same price as the flights on the menu. I was horribly wrong. As I am a scotch fan I of course chose some really good scotches. So to make a long story short the $19 menu whiskey flight turned into $177 for 4 small tastings. I kind of wish the server had mention that but, I guess I should have known better. It's still a great place. I would go back to try the other food. I just had a little bit of sticker price shock.

Worth the trip from Tulsa to Oklahoma City for the whiskey cake alone! I would have had photos of our meals, too, but once I picked up my fork, there was just no setting it down 😋 Our server, Matt, was delightful and I very much enjoyed his suggestions. His advice about having the salad for my meal so I wouldn’t be too full to enjoy the whiskey cake was spot on! 😊

We came here on a Saturday for brunch. It was not too crowded, and we got seated immediately. The staff was friendly, and the bathroom was clean. My only complaint was that the food was too salty. For example, the Eggs Benedict and the chicken sandwich was very salty. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that I wasn't use to such salty food. I didn't have any major problems here, and enjoyed their Chicken waffle.

I don’t think I’ve ever had anything bad at whisky cake. Good drinks, the food is always really fresh. I prefer to eat there but even when I have had it delivered it was packaged really well. I ordered the pork chop for delivery today and it was wrong and honestly didn’t taste the best. I also got the tomato soup and that was really good

Great service is not as common as it used to be but at Whiskey Cake our server and the team around him gave us the the kind of table service you hope to get whenever you go out. Attentive, but not hovering, suggestive but not pushy. Unfortunately I am writing this a few weeks after our meal and I don't remember our server's name, I wish I did so I could push the managers to give him a bonus. Regardless the quality of service was clearly baked into the culture of the business because I observed the same behavior from servers and tables throughout the restaurant. This is to say nothing about the food and custom cocktails which were superb. Dessert is a must even if you have to take it to go!

My personal best restaurant experience. We had reserved our table as we were meeting a family friend . The waiter was very familiar with the menu. He recommended taking the kids orders first so he put them in and kids get there food first. My order of chicken and waffles was perfect. I will be back.

Chicken and Waffles. 11/10 would recommend. This is one of my favorite places for brunch. The service is always top notch, the food is hot and delicious, and the coffee is brought out in your very own French Press. My only complaint is that I sat facing the large window wall that backlit my table mates (around 11:15 AM), blinding me the entire time and prohibiting me from being able to actually see the people in front of me. If I had come in with my sun glasses I 100% would have been that person wearing sunglasses inside.

My husband and I dined at whiskey cake a couple of weeks ago for a date night. We were in the area and decided to stop in. Everything we ate was good! We tried the goat cheese appetizer, a warm goat cheese dip with toasted bread and other marinated veggies. It was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken and cheese melt, he's a sucker for anything on sourdough and I enjoyed the pork brisket. Everything was great. How can you not try a dessert when the restaurant is named after said dessert? We of course ordered the whiskey cake and it was so good. 100% worth the calories. ;) I would go back just for dessert! The price points were really exceptional, great scratch kitchen food for reasonable prices. We don't drink alcohol but if you're looking for a great selection they have an extensive drink menu. Highly recommend this delicious establishment! :)

Whiskey Cakes offers a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. We started with the candied bacon for the table and had burgers, short ribs, salads and soups as entrees. All were very good. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. Service was a bit slow and the volume grew to loud by the time we finished.

I got the brunch board which is definitely intended as a brunch appetizer/share plate but the waiter told me what was on it and I could not resist! Every aspect of this meal was amazing. Fresh pressed juice was perfect. Went for dinner and the dining room is setup very well with fun decor, booths mixed with bar height tables. Tried a pineapple cocktail which was delicious, not to sweet for a fruity drink. The table shared the goat cheese fondue, which is actually a very small portion to be shared as an appetizer. The salad and the mac and cheese side were both very tasty. The chicken/kale salad was a very large portion. The namesake whiskey cake dessert was the best part of the visit and is large enough to share! Overall the staff was friendly and the food good, just a bit pricy and the menu isn’t that varied.

Great experience all in all! Our server was absolutely amazing. Very well versed in the menu. I highly highly recommend the cheesy couscous risotto - absolutely phenomenal! The adult mac & cheese is great as well. I tried the bourbon whiskey flight and shared with a friend. The two I tried were wonderful. You can't leave without a piece of whiskey cake and checking out the shoppette. The caramels are lovely and the candles smell great. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved this place. Between the updated modern farmhouse feel and to all their local farm to table items, this place is a must try. As a starter, we got the local board that was filled with delicious items from all over the state of Oklahoma..(it had fresh honeycomb, beef jerky, delicious local cheese and sweet homemade jams along with a delicious soft local bread as well. They even have a list so you know where everything is from. We got the OMG Burger and the Chicken and Cheese Melt as our main course and we were so satisfied. The burger was the freshest and tastiest burger I have ever had. We can't wait to come back here and look forward to adding Whiskey Cake to our list of favorite restaurants.

I’ve been here a couple times now and thoroughly enjoyed my experience each time! Both times have been with bigger parties and the service has always been great. I’ve tried a few different things and I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like. I love that their coffee is French press, and that they have homemade cocoa for the season. Their deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes are great appies. I’ve had their short rib hash which is incredibly rich but great flavour. Their chicken pesto sandwich and the one with sauerkraut (can’t remember the name!) we’re both fantastic. I love the whole look of the restaurant and their little market store up front. On weekend brunch they do a Bloody Mary bar. I don’t like Bloody Mary’s but I think it’s an awesome concept.

The atmosphere is a pleasant surrounding indoors and out, the lighting is not so dime that you can't read the menu but not so bright that it takes away from a romantic moment. The staff totally awesome everyone spoke as they walk by but I think we probably had the best waiter Austin in the house and even during our meal the manager Hayley came over to make sure everything was good from the food to the service. Everything was clean from the dinning silverware, plates, tables, chairs, to the restrooms. Only one thing we didn't care for was the scent of the smoke lingers on you when you leave and in the car, but the leftovers aroma of the food is a great.

Not your typical restaurant or menu. The decor has an "industrial farmhouse" vibe and it's very welcoming and comfortable. Good, fresh, locally sourced food and an abundance of items made in-house. The Local appetizer/charcuterie board is a stand out. I had The Muffler (muffaletta) sandwich and roasted tomato soup and it was probably the best thing I've eaten in a long time. My brother had the short rib and it was very rich and flavorful as well. This place never disappoints! Great service also.

Whiskey Cake is known for its numerous creative deviled egg recipes, it’s mixed drinks, and, of course, its renowned whiskey cake dessert. Even the ice kicks butt! Yes, the ice. The atmosphere is clean, cozy, welcoming, and always buzzing. The waitstaff is kind, courteous, knowledgeable and professional, and the open kitchen shows the chefs know exactly what they’re doing! It's a cool atmosphere, the service was great, and the food was very tasty! Fair warning, the food was a bit pricy for what it is. Don't get me wrong, it was very good. They pride themselves on being a farm to table restaurant so that's why the prices are higher, but I just can't justify spending that much on a regular basis when I could get similar tasting food for 2/3 of the price. The burger tasted great, and I tried a flight of whiskey which was very good. The whiskey cake dessert is also very rich and delicious. (homemade whipped cream too!) All in all its a fun place to go on special occasions, but I wouldn't come back regularly due to the prices.

We've stopped by here at Whiskey Cake Kitchen a couple times on our way through to other states for our hunting trips. Food is typically very good, except this time we had a couple disappointments. We usually eat mid- rare burgers. As a foody critic back in my home state I just find this unacceptable and a big "ABCs" that you should know and be aware of not to forget to ask. I also ordered mussels for an appetizer and not knowing mussel season these mussels were on the smaller size. Waiter goes and tells manager/manager comes to table to check on us/ we talked mussels for a bit/ nothing gained on our end/ not that I wanted any gain but it was what it was. You guys run a nice establishment get rid of the kid (waiter in training) with the nose bar through his nose. It's totally ridiculous...I don't appreciate someone waiting on us that looks like this. Let's kick it up the next time guys. Typically a 5 stars but not this time. If you can take a second to smash that like button if this review helped you out. Thank you!

The foodie in me loves whiskey cake. I would consider myself an amateur cook and when I need inspiration, I just mosey over to whiskey cake. They always have something new or innovative to try. The menu is fantastic and I have never had anything I don't like. The atmosphere while very hipster is still such a cool vibe. The kitchen is more open than most places and I find it so cool to be able to hear and see the hustle and bustle of how it's all coming together to your table. If you haven't tried it, stop waiting before you miss an awesome menu!

Lunch date with an old friend brought me to this place again. Beautiful day prompted a patio seat and it was worth it! My friend had the chicken and cheese melt and crispy chicken salad and I had the brisket cut wood grilled pork steak over poblano cheese grits with an apple and tomatillo salsa. Amazing! Stopped in to have a much needed drink and meal after driving in from northern Illinois. I was with my wife and two young kids. Had a few great drinks to try to ease the pain of the long ride and some great food instead of junk from the ride down. Had a pork brisket on cheese grits and it was exceptional. My wife had the chicken melt and both were great. She had to try my brisket and grits a few times. Drinks were small but well made and strong. This cube is from the "disorderly conduct". I drank it quick before I took the picture. Overall a 11 out of 10. Great atmosphere and clean place, well prepared food and great service.

My second time here in a week. Both times the food was really good. Not sure if Whiskey Cake is a chain, if so this place he feels so unique like it’s one of its own kind. I had the Turkey burger with a side of the blackened Broccoli with cashews and Parmesan, the second time I had the Pastrami sandwich with the blackened Broccoli, and my daughter and I shared their Whiskey Cake for dessert. Ran into a minor issue the first visit and the Managing Partner (Robert) took care of us. The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant. Ten for ten will patronize Whiskey Cake again. This is a great place for dinner or brunch, it's usually on the louder side, but there is a more romantically lit area in the back. There are tons of options for meals, but for our most recent brunch we enjoyed the kettle chips with onion dip to start and I ordered the Jessica Wabbit fresh squeezed juice - which has a unique taste! We also ordered the drop biscuits, but didn't find them impressive. Our main meal was a French Toast Monte Cristo which was out of this world!! Made with pit ham and mascarpone, sandwiched between delicious French toast and served with jam on the side....no mistakes can be made with this. We also ordered the Hangover Burger made with brisket and topped with a fried egg and fried green tomatoes. By far, my favorite meal here!

A bit pricey and crowded but this place is such a great brunch location! They have a Bloody Mary bar so you can mix your own drinks!! I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan on going here whether you have 2 people or 6+ people, unless you want to wait an hour for seating. This was our first time eating at Wiskey Cake, there were two of us for dinner. Our waiter Ian was a great waiter, he was knowledgeable about the food, drinks, and with any question we had about the restaurant. He made several great drink and food recommendations. We started off with water and soda, along with an apitizer, we had the deviled eggs, they were fresh and delicious. We then moved on to the entrees, and we both selected burgers. I had the Basic Burger, which comes with House Kettle Chips, and I added a side of Adult Mac n Cheese. The burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had, and the Mac n Cheese is only surpassed by Salt Grass Steak House. My friend had the OMG Burger and was equally impressed. For dessert, we had the Wiskey Cake, with French press coffee, my recommendation, if you go, DO NOT pass on the cake. The cake was very good and the coffee paired nicely with it. I just can't recommend this place enough, it is a must go. The cost was slightly high, but the food and service made it worth it.

The food was phenomenal and the service was exceptional. The restaurant was clean and had an upscale rustic vibe. You can tell that they are very environmentally conscious from the use of paper straws, to the brown ecofriendly paper towels in the restroom. I ordered the red fish with a side of brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were cooked with crispy bacon and tasted amazing. The red fish was also good, I would have liked it cooked a little longer and w/ a little more spice because it was such a large fish, the seasoning was all on the outside and the inside was rather bland. Overall I would recommend Whiskey Cake.

The atmosphere is very loud, music, people, etc. There are a lot of TV's as well. They have a huge selection of whiskey and our drinks were well prepared but my wife asked for Uncle Val's gin and at the outset, the server said they had it, but turns out they didn't. He made every effort to find an alternative, apologizing that Uncle Val's was in the system and he didn't know why the bar didn't have it in stock. The service was excellent! We started off with the deviled eggs which were delicious! My wife had the crispy chicken salad (we switched to rotisserie chicken) which was very good but nothing unique. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was chicken "tenders" (I don't know if these are made in house or frozen) it was okay. I think it would be better served with a half chicken on the waffle. The waffle did have a delicious bacon surprise! Make sure you make a reservation if you want a booth. We had to sit at a table with hard chairs, not the most comfortable. We'd definitely come back and try some of the other items on the menu.

I went to Whiskey Cake for the first time with a friend a little over a week ago. The food is a bit pricey but worth it. I kept it simple and just ordered the mussels which were delicious. Our waiter Austin was great and very attentive as was the rest of the staff. My only real gripe about this place are the alcoholic drinks. I spent $12 on a cocktail that was filled to the rim with ice and had very little drink actually in it. It felt like a huge rip off that's for sure . I'll probably go back again but definitely won't purchase any more of their overpriced drinks.

Straight up incredible. We had high hopes coming in and those were met and then some. The aesthetic was amazing- such a unique and warm space, and the service was fantastic from the get-go and throughout the entire night. We got the chicken and spinach salad, and the current switch-up, which is a Mediterranean chicken burger, and both were excellent. So so fresh. And all 3 cocktails we tried were great, most notably the Bohemian Raspberry. But boy, that whiskey cake dessert lives up to the bill. An absolute must try, and the star of the show tonight in our minds. If you're gonna put a dish on the door, that's how you execute it. A++. Can't wait to come back for more.

All flair no flavor. 1827 Two indigenous men approach what looks like a grave yard. The ground is blackened and stained with the blood of Buffalo. The surrounding trees are viciously slashed and broken. Empty tabacco cans and bottles litter the ground. A mound of blood soaked hides permeates the air. Super fun restaurant and delicious food! We visited from Ohio and enjoyed our experience. The cinnamon roll was sooooo yummy. I got the chicken and cheese melt with fries and my fiance got the farmers breakfast if I'm not mistaken. He said the bacon was incredible. We went on derby day and the staff was dressed up in their derby best. Definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch!

Brought the family here during our Christmas visit. The service was good and the food better than most other chains restaurants in town. I especially like the fact that you can get a scotch flight. Their chicken and waffles is different because they add a savory gravy to it. My parents tend to request this restaurant whenever we're in town visiting. Always a pleasure eating here for several years now. The staff is always great and the drinks and food are meticulously put together. The menu seems pricey at first glance, but the portions are BIG--enough to split or take home leftovers. I love that everything is fresh and as local as they can get. My absolute favorite appetizer is the goat cheese dip. Honestly I have yet to try anything that I didn't like. Their chicken and waffles are a real treat. This is one of my favorite restaurants in OKC. From the moment you walk in...it's fun! The food is fantastic. Steaks are perfect and you absolutely must try the charcuterie board. It's phenomenal. Oh, and pair that with the smoked Cabernet Sauvignon for a real treat. Make sure you have a piece of Whiskey Cake for desert...it's a sinful pleasure. And finally, the staff ..I can't say enough. This place absolutely rocks. They completely nailed both the food and cocktail. I had a Moscow Mule that was made absolutely perfectly with the best ginger beer in a pure copper cup with candied ginger. I had a garden salad that was so fresh it look like it was picked minutes before I ate it. My tri-chip sandwich was possibly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life and definitely the best version of a sliced beef sandwich, Philly, French dip that I’ve ever had in my life. It was better than a Philly from Gino’s in Philly. The gravy was unique and delicious and the beef from the sandwich itself literally melted in my mouth. It wouldn’t matter if the service was horrible but instead the bar staff was absolutely incredible, professional, and clearly well trained. I saw camaraderie among the staff and engagement with management. I have worked in restaurants for over 10 years decades ago and in this post Covid world of substandard establishments offering substandard food and drink it is extremely refreshing to patronize a place like this. I will go back as often as possible. Thank you and keep doing exactly what you’re doing right now!

Definitely more of a 'sit and socialize for a while' type place, not an 'eat and gtfo', which is a nice change. It's weird to say slow service is a plus but that's kinda the intended vibe, so it fits well.

The cheddar jalapeño buiscuits with gravy is probably the best I have ever eaten and had a nice subtle kick to them. Perfect brunch experience with helpful and friendly staff. Get a reservation or you will be waiting if you show up after 11.

Let's start with the Host staff, beautiful we were greeted at the first set of doors by a very cheerful young man(blonde fro) LOVED HIM! He damn near sang us to our table 😊 Alyssa our server, PHENOMENAL very knowledgeable about the menu and was helpful in choosing the meal. The local Beer flight 🍻 was very good my favorite happened to be the "Super Fancy" had a natural apple flavor without being too sweet. I had the fried green tomatoes as a starter and my husband had the deviled eggs. They were both equally satisfying! The shrimp and grits was my choice of meal and was real artsy but perfectly paired with the right ingredients. Shrimp cooked to perfection. Now being a Missouri girl born and raised, the grits were a little thicker than I would normally have them but again perfect for the meal. My husband had the chicken and waffle and lets just say, he cleaned the plate. A man of very few words but he enjoyed it very much. And the kids meal, well chicken tenders and fries will satisfy the pickiest of eaters. Everything was delightful. I don't visit OKC often but when I come back def returning to this location alone. So worth it ❤ this traveler's heart is content. PS: please come to Rapid City, SD I'll eat there every day 😂

My fiance got sick from either his burger or the mussels app. Wondering if they got a new chef... Preface: I have about 10 food allergies; however, they never have a desert I can eat. Pretty much always has nuts in it and lots of the time cinnamon too. And it's always on basic stuff like lemon pie. Not really a problem, but disappointing.

I've been to Whiskey Cake several times, but this last time took the literal cake. I was introducing my two sisters and 3 friends to the restaurant, and I shared the Chicken & Waffles with my sister. I was BLOWN AWAY by this dish. The waffle itself has bacon in it, the chicken tenders were fresh and so tasy, the eggs were perfectly cooked to order, and the sausage gravy was to. die. for. I cannot WAIT to return and have this again. I should add that the whiskey cake itself had my sisters' eyes rolling back in their heads. I will definitely be back.

Amazing. I don't know how else to put it. I live about 80 miles away and I've been 3 times. Not just for that mind you, but I would. It's that good. It's very rustic and has a calm warm atmosphere. Very industrial with the lighting and exposed air vents. Chicken and waffles have to be the best thing on the menu. They marinate the free range local chicken for 36 hours and it melts in your mouth. The waffles have bacon pieces in the batter and my life had been better for this experience. Very good restaurant.

A steak house with some fantastic choices and atmosphere. Not many selections for vegans, but they do have vegetarian options. The dessert menu is short bu powerful. The Whiskey Cake is a brick of golden brown gorgeous cake, dense and rich. Our table shared it between two adults and two children, and everyone was very happy. If you want a nice place for a dinner date for a steak, a good drink, some pork and onion string sliders, well you cannot go wrong with the Whiskey Cake.

We made a reservation for 11:30 on Sunday for brunch! They had the table ready for us and were immediately sat down. You have to scan the menu at the table. We started with two of their specialty cocktails. Mine had gin in it with guava and was delicious! My friend had one with grapefruit in it. The second one he had the bar add jalepeno and it was perfect! Our server was great! She was witty and fun and kept our drinks full, water full and checked back in a timely manner. I got the farmhouse breakfast I believe it was called. It had a tiny portion of grits that were amazing. Honestly, the perfect portion, but I could have eaten another one they were so good. Eggs were cooked correctly, the jalepeno biscuits were yummy, and the bacon was good! This is a thicker bacon so it wasn't crispy. I love brunch and this is a fun place for it!!

A group of 4 of us got in pretty easily after a short wait. The drinks were fine - we each had 2 and they were average, maybe a little expensive. The food, however, was fantastic. Everyone loved what they had, the duck appetizer was a 10/10 favorite for all of us. We have been here only twice, but, we will go back. The service was totally fine. The server was attentive but not always standing around us. I was a little shocked when we got the bill, I guess the drinks, appetizers, entrées, and desert really added up, but it was worth it.

I wish this place would come to Myrtle Beach SC! I was in town for business. I could have gone back for a week or two to try everything on the menu that looked so great. Both of the meals I had here were excellent. The 1st one was fried brussel sprouts as an appetizer followed by rotisserie chicken and the smoked good a Mac and cheese. White meat melted in your mouth! Mac n cheese was to fie for! Also had the Daou cabernet on tap. The 2nd time I had the hummus and salmon salad. It was just as amazing! Colleague had the chicken burger and yhe whiskey cake and loved it. The servers are kind and the dishes are unique anf well priced. Can't wait to go back in September! Highly recommended!

Whiskey Cake has a great atmosphere. I went there with my family, and one of our waffles was burnt (chicken and waffles, brunch menu). After we asked for a different one, a similarly burnt waffle was brought out after the fact. The tomato soup is good, and so is the balsamic dressing, but it is a little bit pricy for the quality and wait time. Is worth a try. Perhaps the bar selection will satisfy.

His knowledge of the restaurant and the menu were second to none and to top it all off, the food was amazing. Loved this place! I wish there was one back home in Chattanooga!! We had a big party, almost 20 people. We called ahead and they were able to accommodate us without a long wait. Our server was Travis and he did an amazing job! He greeted us, told us about the specials, drinks and food came out in a timely manner, no mistakes when the food came out, he was on top of the pre-bussing, and even had some conversation with us throughout. We tried the chef’s special app: the deviled eggs and wow! Delicious! All the rest of our food was really good too! And the whiskey cake dessert!!! Kudus to the kitchen as well and the bar! It was just a great experience all around. Seems like that’s hard to come by these days. I’d give them a 10 star rating if I could! If I’m ever back in OKC I’ll definitely come back to eat here!!

Hands down best restaurant experience I've had in years. Tucker. My bartender is a model in excellence, customizing a flight of bourbon for me that absolutely fit my pallet and fit the budget. Not only that, he made a unique and custom cocktail tlfor my wife that again, hit every note on the head. The rest of the staff was completely professional, friendly, attentive, and everything else you would want from a restaurant. The food left nothing to be desired, magnificent. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I live in Dallas and will literally come back to OKC just to have an experience like this again. Waste no time, grab a bite and a bourbon, request Tucker (even though I'm sure anyone else on staff will be just as friendly and attentive).

Never got it until we all were finished eating. I had the farm chicken, all on the plate was fabulous. Husband had the braised pork with grits, he also loved it. The duck wings as appetizers were a little salty, but good. The service however (Austin) was an absolute fail. We weren’t checked on once until we were done with the question if anyone brought us the eggs. Then he gave me the check he said “oh I took it off your check”, but didn’t. After he came back with an adjusted check (he said he’d take off 2 dollars which I was fine with) and left it on the table saying he took 6 off he turned around with a big obviously loud irritated sigh or grunt. Very unprofessional.

Wife and I had lunch there today. First time for her and my 3rd. Really good food, service and atmosphere. I had the braised short ribs, over mashed potatoes and veggies. She had chicken and spinach salad and the goat cheese fondu. All good.

Very happy. Veggies could have been cooked more but hubby likes them like that. All flavors are popping Omg!! And AJ is amazing glad he is there now y’all need to come to Moore cause we would come more often!

This place was freaking AMAZING! The Duck Breast and Guava Cocktail were the best I've had. Definitely will be back!
