Reviews of Cafe Antigua
One of the places you have to try if you are visiting OKC! Inviting and quick service. Food that is rich with flavor and a coffee menu that has so many good options. I needed some caffeine so I went with a Shot in the Dark. Combination of Guatemalan coffee and a shot of espresso. I was also really hungry and went with the Mayan Eggs! I try something new every and have yet to be disappointed. Everything is so tasty! Enjoy!
🥰 Brunch Date with my Fav'!!!
🧇 Strawberry Banana Waffles - 👍🏽
🌯 Smothered Chicken Burrito - 👍🏽
☕️ Unfortunately, my Latte didn't come out in time but I still want to try it so I'll probably go back tomorrow or Wednesday. #StayTuned
🍋 Lemonade was super tasty - 👍🏽
⏰ There was about a 40 minute wait this morning BUT the food only took like 5 minutes (literally) to come out once we got seated.
🤤 The Food & the service was great (like always) & I'll definitely be back. I'll just have to make sure it's during the week when it's a little less busy.
Parking was not convenient.
Coffee could have been better.
I ordered pickup off of Ubereats. It was ready quickly and on time.
Food was great, but salsa did not have enough heat.
I was impressed with the waffle and the churros had a caramel filling. 😋
If the coffee ☕️ had been perfect I would have given Cafe Antigua 5 stars, however I was disappointed with the drip coffee, so it gets 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
It's hard to find parking, and that's the only negative impact for me; ooh, a couple of flies in the restaurant can make the experience a little unpleasant. Upon entering and exiting, I was told thankz for choosing Cafe Antigua and hoped to see you again. Even though it was packed, we were seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and delightful. He took us through the menu and told us what his favorite item was. It was a simple menu, but the choices were hard to pick from because everything on the menu sounded delicious. Food portions were significant, that the hubby and I both had to take a to-go box home.
Went during the weekday for lunch with two people. Was seated quickly with several more places to sit, it was moderately busy. Our server was very friendly and helpful, she was great. The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had, if not the best, and I love guac. Their house bean soup was a nice complimentary surprise. It was full of flavors and went above my expectations for bean anything. My entree was marked on the menu as their most popular item. I found it unique and flavorful. I got the spicy version, which was medium salsa spicy. The horchatta was good, didn't taste like powdered mix. The cortado decent, could probably use a better roast or coffee. Overall very good and had a nice time.
We got the donut French toast this morning and it was a hit at our table. Absolutely delicious and perfect treat to finish an amazing breakfast. Highly recommend everything on the table. Great atmosphere, great service from all staff and great prices.
We went on Sunday morning of Labor Day weekend for a low key anniversary brunch. They told us the wait was about 30-40 minutes but we only ended up waiting about 10 minutes. Carlos was our server and he was great. He recommend some great dishes as for this was our first time. The food was absolutely amazing. I feel like they could spruce the place up a bit. But overall the food was amazing and we would definitely go back. Highly recommend!
Today, the wifey and I decided to enjoy a nice lunch out. Destination: Cafe Antigua.
The moment we entered, we were greeted and treated with smiles and a, "welcome to Cafe Antigua", before being led to our table. So far so good. The area was nice and clean. Once seated, our waiter, Juan Carlos dropped in on us. He was awesome! Easygoing, sense of humor and attentive, exactly what I like to see in customer service.
Juan Carlos brought us our drinks, and took our menus upon ordering. I won't speak for my wife, but I ordered 2 plates of the Nachos Locos, which was an appetizer. Juan Carlos informed me that it was BIG and that it perhaps better that I start with 1 plate. He was right. It was HUGE and you definitely get your money's worth. I also ordered the Churros and Plantanos en Gloria, which were amazing! Unfortunately, they'd run out of my favorite beverage, horchata, but I managed.
Juan Carlos made sure our drinks stayed topped off and our food was to our liking. His service was impeccable. In fact, everything about Cafe Antigua was exceptional, even up to when exited and again were met with smiles and a, "thank you for coming". I'm pretty sure we'll be back. I'd highly recommend Cafe Antigua for your dining pleasure!
I got the carne asada and side of plantains. The portion was pretty big, food came out warm and yummy. For plantains, I wish they caramelized it more because it was too soft. I enjoyed the meal, but my favorite was their rice. It was seasoned well and went well with all the items that came with asada.
I don’t remember what my husband got but he enjoyed everything.
Parking could be a little bit annoying, but there is more parking spots behind the building.
We chose to eat here on a whim, and we were not disappointed. Being a popular spot, there was about a thirty minute wait.
It was 100% worth it.
The bustling atomosphere and uniquely delectable dishes makes this place a "must eat" when passing through Oklahoma. Kudos to the chef and wait staff for making this place amazing.
Great selection of Guatemalan dishes. Good service. Quick turnaround with nicely prepared dishes. Deep Central American flavors mixed with fresh ingredients.
Absolutely delicious and authentic- tastes just as if you are sitting in Guatemala! Wonderful service and kind staff. We will absolutely be regulars each time we visit OKC. This is a can’t-miss breakfast spot!
I liked it here the mocha latee is delicious the only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the carne asada it was a bit tough to chew but my girls loved their waffle and getting to pour their own strawberry cream was there favorite
They loved the rice and beans too very family friendly
Clean environment
I ate here for the first time today and the food was delicious!! I had the carne asada. I will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to family/friends. Even thought it was busy, service was fast, food was a short wait and it was just a great spot! I’d give it 6 stars if I could!!
Some fresh delicious flavors that are not your norm! This place is great. Always friendly and clean. Get here early or you will get wait! The best Coffee and amazing lemonade! The food is great, taste fresh and always plated nicely. Highly recommended! Parking is in back.
Really delicious brunch spot. Had a hard time picking something because there were so many delicious looking options on the menu. Looking forward to returning
I had been wanting to go here for quite awhile and finally got the chance. I was hesitant after seeing the menu because I had no idea of vegan options. The quality of the food is good and fresh here. The coffee was yummy. They had almond, soy, or coconut milk options for people like moi! I had a cafe con leche. The cookie is most likely not vegan so my friend had that! The server knew what vegan meant an immediately told me about their vegan option. I didn't understand it all came together as a salad though. It was rice, black beans, avocado, and lettuce. So it was Iike a big salad. It was fresh and tasted really good. I just wasn't in the mood for one more salad! They had the food out faster than anywhere I've been that is a restaurant and not a fast food place! The parking was 2 hour pay to park in the front and a really small section on the side where cars were parking right behind other cars which blocked them in. I'm not sure why that's even a thing that's happening. The interior is no fuss table and chairs. The server was nice and really busy as most places are short of staff these days! I don't know that I'll be back often or soon as the options are limited here for me. But it was a good place for a quick brunch.
5 stars for great service and delicious food and coffee! We had the motuleño and antigueño and a dirty chai latte. Hot homemade tortillas and fresh ingredients. Our server was very kind and helpful, we’ll definitely come back if we’re ever in town again!
Service was good, friendly and fast. The food was plenty and very delicious!!! The horchata was the best and the cafe con leche was so good. Definitely a place I’d visit again.
My dad is peruvian so white rice for breakfast is a staple.
Fried egg on top of rice. It's perfect. I do enjoy the beans more than I do at Kafe Kakao
Amazing breakfast. Usually easier to get in on weekend morning and has great food. A staple breakfast of mine in OKC.
The restaurant has gotten a face lift which elevated the dining experience while continuing to deliver on quality Guatemalan food. Our server was quick to sit us and take our order, and we thoroughly enjoyed a hearty breakfast.
As every other reviewer writes about this place, the Brunch is out of the world, There is no doubt in it. They have great quality, taste, quantity and price. I highly recommend Mayan Rice for brunch/lunch with chicken and green chimichanga sauce. The tase is 100% authentic.
For breakfast, Spanish omelette is a win-win.
And, Churro definitely cheered up the taste bud. It was crunch outside and sweet and gooey inside.
I had to take off 1 star for cleanliness though. Our coffee plate had broken sides. The fork and spoon was not clean. Also, the water that were served had some dirt in it. But once asked, the server changed everything and apologized for that, which is what matters the most!
Have a Happy Brunch!!!
Delightful!!! I had the machata omelette. The eggs were fresh and fluff, and the shredded beef was quite tender. The potatoes are not overloaded with too much cheese, and were not greasy. Coffee is rich and earthy. If you order a pre-sweetened coffe, they gladly make it with half the usual amount, whuch is what I did and for me it was perfect. The service is outstanding!
On a Saturday morning looking for some really good breakfast, this is the spot. In the family of Cafe Kacao cuisine, the Guatamalen inspired menu has all the classics from plantains and black beans to a breakfast shredded beef burrito. I enjoyed the food, but the star was the Coffee. I downed a cup of Cafe con Leche with Almond Milk; this cup of coffee was absolutely excellent. Although I don't know if it's as good as Cafe Kacao, I will say that I enjoyed eating it just as much; as I'm sure everyone does because at 10 A.M., this place gets packed on a weekend. Yelp has a wait in line feature to get a table ahead of time, so I encourage everyone to do that and check the wait time before going.
Nice breakfast place. Each table was divided by a tall acrylic panel and we felt very safe. We visited here in early morning on Sunday and the meals were served quickly. The staff was very mindful and nice. We ordered extra meals for the friends arriving late. The meals were served but sitting on the table for a while. The waiter came to us and asked if he can reheat the meal since he didn’t like to serve cold meals. So sweet. We’ll be back.
Loved the experience. 1st time visiting the place. The quality and portion of food is terrific and very reasonable. My pictures show Spanish Omelette, cafe mocha and Churros. Loved the food from drinks to dessert. Could not have asked for more.
I had the chilaquiles. Soo good. I always get their mazapán latte!
Food is excellent. Wish we would have came sooner. They open at 8am and close at 3pm. The staff was good, our waitress Guadalupe, was Excellent. My spicy sauce they brought out with my motuleño was really spicy to my wife but I liked it. The chilaquiles with Carne Asada were also a good choice. Thanks for a great first impression.
And it's been like this every time we go. Amazing Place. One of our Favorite in all OKC
Stuck with the basics today, and ordered the Antigueño (chorizo, black beans, and potatoes) with a cup of coffee, everything was delicious. The food came out fast, and the he service was friendly. 🙂 …
So good!!! I honestly don’t remember the names of what we got, but it was all incredibly delicious. I’m sure everything on their menu is. The cafe mocha wasn’t overly sweet which was great, and the flan was A+. Would definitely come back here!
I simply loved this place, wish I lived in Oklahoma to eat here all the time.. 💯 service
Cafe Antigua was a delight. This was our first time eating out since Covid-19 started and it was well worth it. The staff was friendly and took our temperature upon entry (we wore masks which is recommended for entry). I ordered a cortido and mango smoothie which I highly recommend as a tasty beverage. The food was great as well. I would definitely recommend the smothered burrito and the omelettes. Also try the jalapeno sauce; it's not spicy and adds a nice extra layer of flavor to your dish. We will definitely be back to eat.
Everything was delicious including the unlimited house Guatemalan coffee. The shredded beef was full of flavor and the guacamole was better than any I’ve had in any Mexican restaurant. We’ll definitely return to try more breakfast food. It’s a lot like Cafe Kacao down the street. Less of a wait and better service in my opinion. Definitely do yourself a favor and drop in for breakfast. You won’t be sorry.
I love this place. It is always consistent, always good. Has fast service. We have been going for years, before there was ever a wait. Never had a bad meal. Everyone is so friendly.
Plus they allow local artist to hang their art. I know, because they allowed me to hang mine.
Go check them out, you will not be disappointed. I can't believe no pictures.
If you like the restaurant down the street, you should definitely try this one!!! We were seated immediately! Our server was the best I've had in a long time. He took excellent care of our brunch, party of 7. He even recorded our water an hour after we had finished eating. I ordered a sweet creme latte and migas with asada. It was delicious, beautiful, and the portions were perfect! We weren't rushed, there was enough space to relax and visit. Fantastic!!
Café Antigua never disappoints!!!
The food is always scrumptious and the service is always quick, efficient, and staff make great recommendations for what to get.
Café Antigua is definitely one of my top prices for Brunch in Oklahoma City.
The Horchata latte is so so so good.
And the coffee is always top quality.
I am taking over the review on this one since I took a friend here for her birthday. She and I both love a good breakfast and if you love a delicious brunch, you need to try Cafe Antigua. We both ordered a matcha latte, and if you need nondairy alternatives, they offer several choices. My friend ordered the Huevos Motuleños and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the Smothered Burrito. Our waitress was very accommodating and service is always very good. Always look forward to going to Cafe Antigua!
One of OKCs best restaurants. They're always nice. it's very efficiently run, I've never had to wait more than thirty minutes, even with a line out the door and down the street. And all their food and drinks are consistently amazing.
This cafe in OKC is a hidden gem so the wait times are usually pretty short. The coffee is amazing and so are the brunch items.
Very unique food. I don't even like coffee and i loved theirs. Definitely a must on the OKC foodie list
This place is fabulous! Has always been fabulous! Their Tres Leches waffle is a fluffy pillow of heaven that melts in your mouth. It has the perfect combination of cinnamon and 3 milks. Their other breakfast food will keep you full and your belly happy. Love hot chocolate? Get theirs with the toasted marshmallow on top. Yum!
OMG is really all I need to write but... The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Food is different and phenomenal. I'm not a breakfast person but they're waffles great
Cafe Antigua is similar to Cafe kacao although less popular with the people of Edmond. Much more seating and coffee was delicious. Great atmosphere great vibes. The guacamole may be the best in town. The waffles wernt on the menu but may be soon because they were a big hit
Excellent cafe! The food was simply amazing and the staff were very pleasant. Went with a group of friends and not one had anything negative to say about their meals. (Black beans were a hit w/ one of them) I will be making a stop again... soon.
Absolutely wonderful. I had the Mazapan coffee, mango juice and the machan(?) So delicious. My daughter had the burrito.
Cool place. Can be quite packed but the waiting isn't that bad. Always have the cortado (espresso and milk) whenever I go.
I also ordered the chilaquiles, which I recommend if you like spicy food. I also recommend the plantains.
Best brunch ever! We had Chillaquiles and a dish with scrambled eggs, chorizo, fried plantains, and refried beans. The Mazapan latte was soooo good!
Great venue for Guatemalan fare. So yummy, and fairly-priced. Always a treat to eat there. That chai latte is awesome!
Nice place to grab some South American food. A friend and I came here because Cafe Kakao was so busy and I'm glad it was! The restaurant has a full coffee bar to offer. I had the traditional breakfast (Desayuno Antigueño) and it was delicious. Plenty of food to take home for later. I tried the Cocoa Maya. It is very, very thick dark chocolate cream with cinnamon on top. I didn't particularly like it, but it would be a chocolate lover's dream drink. All was reasonably priced. Service was acceptable and everyone was friendly. I will come here again!
First time here and wondering why I haven't come before. This makes my list of best places to eat in town that isn't a chain restaurant.
Love this place. Friendly staff and great tasting food! Go with a friend and share a plate of appetizers because a) they're delicious and b) if you have a large appetite, one plate may not be enough.
I usually do a Saturday morning coffee run, and this week I dropped in on Cafe Antigua. I was a first time flyer in the door, but they immediately impressed with helping me accommodate my bike (no bike rack out front). That alone is worth 5 ⭐, but it gets better.
As I said, I usually just go out for coffee, so I got the Cappuccino. It was delicious, not too bitter, but not overly sweet. Foamy, and came with a cookie. After that I decided to get breakfast to fuel the rest of my ride.
I moved on to the Chilaquiles with the eggs up. Again, another winner. The dish was seasoned perfectly and had just the right amount of spice. Enough to feel some warmth, but not to burn me out. I had the asada as my protein. It's also served with refried beans. Perfection.
The portion size is generous, well worth the $13 price tag. Additionally, the staff was warm, and very professional while not being stiff. A great experience. 12/10 would eat here again. Do yourself a favor and stop by.
We had great food and GREAT service.
The coffee is definitely worth giving a try!
Great tasting food. The meat is tender and the juices were delicious from all the flavors combined in my meal. Yum!!
This has long been one of my favorite places for Guatemalan food, but lately the service and the policies have been off. $4.50 extra for what amounted to a "sprinkle" of asada was way too much. Tabbing out took too long. I asked for sugar and was told I have sweetener on the table, which I can't use. The food itself was great as usual. The Mayan Eggs never disappoint.
Food and Service was great, very minor mistakes were made but understandable, however the parking is a bit of a sticky situation. If your looking for a good breakfast this is the place to be, just make sure you get there a bit early
Super flavorful Guatemalan food! Everything is good. Nice coffee selection as well, stop in today for some great food!
Wow!!!! One of the best breakfast and THE best coffee I've ever had. Great service in addition to being phenomenally delicious. Wish I could eat it weekly instead of only when in Oklahoma visiting family!!!
Great Guatemalan cuisine in downtown OKC! The cuisine is excellent, and there are gluten-free and vegan options available. The customer service was quick and friendly. Will definitely go back!
Wonderful food, friendly staff, highly recommend, will be back. I had the suave amanecer. 1st pic.
Wow this place is amazing. I had their Mazapan Latte and it was 👌🏽. Their breakfast was marvelous and has an authentic Guatemalan vibe. Our server was really nice and helpful. …
Delicious food. A little bit of a wait since it was so busy, but definitely worth it!
Great brunch place with good coffee, great egg dishes, and solid banana waffles. Recommended.
WOW, have passed by here and not thought of ever stopping in but I'm so glad we did. Amazing coffee, food and service as well. We were told of the house favorites and dishes popular in Guatemala which we appreciated so much to help us choose our dish. I can't wait to bring others here with me!
Good Food! It’s something different for breakfast and it’s worth eating out of the box at Cafe Antigua. Highly recommend the Latte’s.
Super delicious food l, very friendly staff, first time there but I really enjoyed it.
Very affordable for the quality of service and food you receive there. Fresh ingredients make for a delight in each bite. Be sure to ask for their latte and be sure to use their amazing verde. I will be trying the churros on my next visit.
Loved the atmosphere. But I felt, it lacks privacy due to space shortage. Food is OK. DRINKS ARE AWESOME... Especially the latte
Tried this place for brunch and it did not disappoint! Amazing food, service was quick and friendly staff.
The food was absolutely delicious...huge portions for little dollars...I'll mos def be back!
Food and coffee was absolutely amazing!!
Excellent food, excellent service, when you want something more than a pastry for breakfast. Reasonably priced and ample portions. Parking could be an issue if it's really busy, but we had no trouble. The food and service is well worth it! We will definitely be back.
This is Heaven.......food is amazing. Best Mocha ever. First time we tried the lemonade..SOLD!
Good vibes and delicious food. If you go there make sure to get Juan Carlos, ❤️ he’s the best server EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic. New favorite breakfast place. Excellent coffee, delicious food, and very reasonable prices. Even the appetizer soup made me sit up and take notice. Every bite I took made me want to come back again, and I most certainly will.
I had the smothered burrito with chorizo and it was humongous and delicious! I will come back again to try other menu items. You won't be disappointed.
the best food I’ve had in awhile & I couldn’t finish my plate so the portions were perfect . Worth the money 💓 coffee was perfect too. …
I love the breakfast. The waffle is so delicious. The lattes are delicious as well 😍
Had about a 30 minute wait which is expected. Food was delicious! I had the waffles and marzipan latte. First time here
I loved this place and it was really worth the wait! Their coffee was fresh and the breakfast plates were very delicious! I’m going back!
Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere. For sure going to be coming back here!
My favorite restaurant!! I’ve been here every Saturday for the past 7 weeks. The food is superb, staff is amazing, and it’s always a lovely experience! Come check them out, you won’t regret it!
I had the traditional Guatemalan breakfast. Horchata was too good. The black beans with cheese were amazing and so was the fried plantains. There is a big screen with scenes of I'm guessing Guatemala or Antigua, not sure which, anyway thought that was very nice.
Delicious food and excellent customer service. Food was out right away. I highly recommend this place.
Mi familia Guatemalteca! Delicious and authentic Guatemalan food
The service here is wonderful and the food is divine! I had the Mazapan Latte and the Spicy Motuleno. I absolutely loved it and I can't wait to come back!
Never disappoints! The food and drinks are really good! We had the Mazapan graphics and the Horchata latte.
The carne asada was pretty good, the steak is better by itself though. The flan is delicious, would highly recommend.
I cannot say enough how AMAZING this food tasted! Both my food and my husband's food was devine!
Amazing Dishes
Beautiful People
Atmosphere A+++
Must come & try!!!
I'm A Fan😊❣🤩
The food was amazing, I'll definitely come back.
Wonderful hidden gem. One of the best breakfast meals (for lunch) I've ever had. Will be back again soon!
The food was so good!! But the service was not :( checked in and told it would be a 20 minute wait….ended up waiting an hour and watched every other party before us and some after us come and be seated. Pretty sure we were forgotten about. Very frustrating. Coffee was also made wrong which was upsetting.
Food in the pics online look like food in person. Obviously fresh and service awesome, thanks Carlos!
Delicious! I enjoyed the Spicy Motuleña and a dainty cortado. Tip:: Check wait time on Yelp before you go.
So amazing, highly recommend getting the Dirty Chai, you won't regret it!
This is a wonderful place! The breakfast and lattes that we had were absolutely delicious! The complementary soup was very tasty too. Our server was absolutely amazing as well, VERY friendly and attentive. The only bad thing I can say is that if you use the "directions" link option on their website it takes you to somewhere place a little over 20 minutes away. I'm so glad we still decided yo drive all the way back to their actual location and still try it.
OMG sooooo delicious! Portion size was shocking! 😂 Not disappointed at all. …
Great food, great service. Real attention to detail on the food
This place soothed my soul with how delicious it was!!!
Food was authentic and flavorful. Servers were polite. Clean environment and we were seated immediately on a sunday at brunch time. We found it comparable, if not better, than cafe kacao which is right down the road with longer wait time
Delicious food! Great service. Always clean.
The food is good will I'm only getting a star off just because it was a little bit to much food I ordered the crazy nachos and it was quite crazy on the amount of nachos they should put a different cheese instead of cheddar cheese, was good but a different one would be better my opinion
Probably the best Hispanic(Guatemalan) food I’ve ever had! From the service, to the refreshing drinks, to the food it was all delicious! Definitely coming back.
Servico !!! Top Notch!
Was definitely a great experience . Waiter had a great mood! It was amazing the food had great presentation it came fast and it was delicious. Definitely will go back soon. Got My sister Birthday Churros!!!!
Si buscas Calidad y Rapides aqui es donde. ! Lo Mejor!
The food was great and full of flavor. I got the smothered burrito with avocado. The burrito is huge and can feed you for two meals. The waiter was friendly and took our order in a timely manner. The only issue I had was the price. The menu said one price, but I was charged another. I asked the waiter why I was charged more than what the menu listed. Apparently, they increased the price of the burrito, but haven't updated their menu. This would have been nice to know prior to me placing my order. Either way the food was great, but I will be sure to ask if their menu pricing is accurate before ordering next time.
A+++. Incredible food and service. Coffee selection is incredible too!!!
So good, loved our food
Well worth the 20 minute wait. This is one of the rare occasions where my husband and I both atte all of our food , cleaned the plates. Our 1yr old grand daughter loved the fresh avocado and black beans.
Excellent service as well.
The food here is amazing, and the coffee is decadent. The service is always timely and have a great attitude.
The boy at the front was very great and very nice! He was very respectful and checked up on me and family he tried to get everything out on time. And loved the Waffle and mazapan latte!
Great food, wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff. What more can you ask for?
Amazing breakfast and coffees! As good of black beans as you’ll find too. Between Cafe Antigua and Cafe Kacao, there’s some amazing Latin breakfast food here in OKC.
Genuinely one of the best Guatemalan food I've ever had. If you're in OKC and looking for some food, this should be your go to.
I've really liked the food, I think it's really a Guatemalan cuisine experience.
Fantastic service: Carlos was amazing. The food was very tasty and authentic flavors. The chilequiles breakfast had a wonderful mix of flavors. Nothing was overly spiced or heavy on any particular flavor, just nice blends. The Desayuno Chapin was also very good, although the platanos were a little on the hard side, but tasted good. Their horchata was smooth and flavorful. The Guatamalan coffee was smooth and rich...and you get lots of refills.
The food was delicious, enjoyed it very much.
Their Mayan Eggs are AMAZING! I get them scrambled, but they form it into a single solid piece, kind of like an omelette. The black beans are in an amazing sauce. And the avocado slices on top of the tomato sauce really complete the presentation and the taste.
A nice, quiet atmosphere. Free parking is around back, behind the building.
Visited on a whim while visiting from out of town. Absolutely delicious. Food was amazing and very flavorful. Friendly and helpful staff. If I lived here, I'd be a regular for sure.
This Guatemalan 🇬🇹 cafe is an excellent back-up to Cafe Kacao. With similar options, Cafe Antiqua hits the spot when looking for typical Guatemalan dishes.
Food: Delicious, quality food with filling portions, but not large enough to take extras home.
Atmosphere: Bustling basic cafe
Service: Attentive but busy
Price: Fair price for food portion sizes and quality. $10-20 Per person
Suggestion: Guatemalan Tamale with LIME
Staff here was amazing, they made me feel like family the first time I walked in. Always seems pretty busy but they go out of their way to take care of you. I loved the fried plantains and you cannot find many places with true Guatamalan cuisine like this in Oklahoma.
We ended up at this place as recommended by a friend. We ordered the Desayuno Antigueño, the Mayan Eggs and Platanos en Gloria for dessert. The food was delicious and the portions were great. Service was also great and the servers very attentive. I would recommend using their online check in service. It was not overly crowded when we were there, but the line seemed to had been long before we arrived and kept increasing after. We waited around 5-10 minutes until we were called to our table.
One of my favorite restaurants in OKC! I am so excited that they are now open on Sundays. A few co-workers and I went for lunch one day to discuss firm policies and ended up staying well after they closed. The servers were so nice and understanding. They had every right to hurry us along but let us finish our discussion instead. The food is amazing. I've had quite a few dishes and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Go early. Got a table right off. Was given the complementary soup and it was sooo good. My breakfast was great my sister had the soup and she loved it. We'll go back again . Our waiter was very nice and checked on us several times and was helpful with suggestions. Very friendly
One of the best experiences I have had in a decade. Delicious and beautiful food for a fair price. My daughter said their waffles were the best she has ever had. They do everything professionally and artistically. A must visit for all.
The best chilaquiles I've had, and really the whole menu is excellent. The coffee is great. This is among my favorite restaurants in the city.
Lowered 2 stars. Not kid friendly. Doesn't serve coffee while waiting on a table. They also seat groups larger than 4. Food is still great, just wish I could actually eat here.
Smothered burrito with chorizo is a must! Waffles and the coffee based drinks are always amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you pick, it's all flavorful. For the price, you leave happy and full. The staff are super friendly and attentive. And yes, this place is better than Cafe Kacao.
Two friends and I had lunch at Antigua. All of our meal choices were exceptionally good as was the service. I had the Desayuno Chapin, which is my new favorite. The atmosphere is calm yet colorfully Guatemalan.
I was traveling back home on a small road trip when I stumbled across this restaurant. I have to say - It was the highlight of my trip! Wow - this place took me back to my trips to Central America. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a very long time. The staff was very polite and I couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you Frank - I really enjoyed our experience!
The best place in OKC! Been going there since they started and they only get better and better!
Food is simply fabulous and the people are great!
Their black beans (refried and regular) are cooked perfectly. Their portions are huge but don’t skimp on flavor! The smothered burrito is big enough to make 3 full meals out of it. My husband was impressed with their carne asada, which is hard to do.
Antigua is most definitely one of my favorite places to have brunch! The food looks great and taste even better! They have plenty of options to choose from and they also have a great coffee bar. On a busy day it’s worth the wait. The staff is wonderful and the service is great! The staff really seems to enjoy working there.
I'm staying overnight in Oklahoma City and found Cafe Antigua on Uber Eats...I ordered the Mayan Eggs and an espresso drink for breakfast. Amazing! Food was fresh and delicious, and my Cortada espresso drink had to be made with incredibly high quality coffee beans. Almost sweet and no bitterness. Will definitely order again when I return to OKC!
This was my favorite breakfast place while I lived in OKC. Almost feels like you're eating at a Cafe in Latin America. I always get the Mayan Eggs and some of their amazing coffee. I don't think a lot of people know about this place, but if you are in OKC, you HAVE to eat here during your stay. Don't go to the trendy places where you'll wait an hour for eggs and toast or some mediocre waffles. Just saying. I miss this place!
The 1st. time we came was great ! That's why we come back I choose a diferent dish this time and it was delicious too. Our server Juan Carlos was great he was very polite and attentive thank you.
FANTASTIC! Portion sizes are excellent. Staff was great. Not expensive. For authentic Guatemalan food, it really is the best in OKC. 5/5
Variety of food and beverages. Vegan friendly sticker in their front window.
Food is tasty, with decent sized portions, and beautifully displayed on the plate.
Drinks are flavorful and filling.
Service was a little confused and slow. Our meals came out piecemeal. By the time the last plate came out, the first plate we received was already cold.
Worth a visit. Parking available in front and to the side of the building.
So, I'm on the fence. First off, let me tell you the food is good, and is a decent sized portion, and the service was quick and friendly. The problem I have is that this used to be a quaint Cafe and now it seems like in the past couple years they've tried to be more "upscale" by adding in a overpriced coffee bar and along with that, upping their prices. They're trying to be more Cafe Kacao which is fine but every time I left CK I had extra to take home. Almost another meals worth, if not a large snack. Not here. The price is also a little high IMO for what I got. Coffee/Breakfast ran me.. JUST ME, $20 not including tip (Pro-tip the price on the menu isn't the real price). Also, both Cafe Kacao and this place think to go coffee only comes in 8oz cups. I'm a coffee drinker(addict) and I consider a 20oz decent but if they got larger I'll take it. Just overall kind of disappointing since this used to be one of my favorite places for Latin inspired breakfast before they "upgraded".
Let me start off by saying yum! So this place inside looks pretty basic but don't let that fool you. Their food is amazing! They have a great coffee bar with such yummy Guatemalan specialty coffees. I wish we weren't an hour drive away as we would go more often. You will not be disappointed!
Very good Guatemalan restaurant. Really nice environment without the pretentious allure of cafe kakao and by far better food
Food and coffee were good, I went by myself and everything took longer than everyone else. A few people ordered after me but got the food at the same time.
Classic spanish food. Breakfast and lunch are both great. The hot chocolate is literally like melted chocolate. If you let it cool it has a consistency close to pudding or cake batter. Got the Mayan eggs with the rice and black beans was my favorite part. The flavors were good and was a lovely break from traditional American breakfast foods.
Fantastic authentic Latin cuisine. Wonderful coffee and great service. Waited about fifteen minutes for a table and it was totally worth it. The food was served fast and I can't stress enough how good it was! 10/10 would definitely eat here again.
Hidden gem! I had the flautas. I literally cleaned my plate, unusual for me. Even the white rice was so tasty I considered it a side dish and not a garnish. Thier coffees were delicious and artful. Sorry no pics.
Best food I’ve ever had!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone…. I’m not from here but I ordered uber eats for breakfast & the food was so warm and delicious. The fried plantains was so yummy!! 🤤 …
This places serves great food. I visit about three times a month. They offer coffees, smoothies, good appetizers and great breakfast options. Food is Guatemalan. Servers are usually very friendly. There instead a wait often, except brunch during some weekends and holidays. I would call in a reservation for days like mother's day to avoid a wait.
Churro banana waffles are to die for. The coffees are all amazing, dulce de Leche latte being an all time favorite. The food is all fresh and light. I eat brunch here regularly because everything I've tried on the menu so far has been spectacular.
Delicioso!!! The service was impeccable my coffee cup never went empty. Recommend the chorizo eggs!
I came in not knowing what to expect, but I definitely wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere is fresh, the brand is authentic, and the food... Delicious and genuinely Guatemalan. Even better is the espresso - my cafe de leche hit the spot. To top it all off, our waitress was attentive, friendly, and very helpful.
This is an amazing and delicious place to have the best breakfast! We went there and the chilaquiles are delicious and the staff is so friendly! Definitely I’m adding this restaurant to my favorites spots!!!! Coffee is so tasty!
I don't think you can pick anything that is bad here!
Great food just needs a little more flavor
Presentation was good. Cute place. Great servers. Food wasn't that good. Ordered the carne asada and the carne just had salt as flavor. Too much salt. Good thing is they give a good portion of avocados to try... Try to balance off the loads amount of salt
Ordered chilaquiles with poached eggs, but was brought hard sunny side up eggs instead. When I pointed out the mistake to the lady that brought me the food (not our waitress), she said “oh” and walked away. My bf ordered the spicy motuleño with longanisa, but the protein he received was ground beef. Not sure how it all got screwed up considering the waitress repeated the orders back to us.
Mazapan latte and papaya smoothies were very good
Our waitress never came to check on us.
I would’ve given this place 5 stars if we got what we ordered and if the service was better
We had experience breakfast
the food is amazing but unfortunately it was cold by the time i got home:( i arrived five minutes before my order was supposed to be ready and then watched my order sit in the window for 20 minutes while they said they were working on my tortillas. got home and the tortillas were in the bag, cold. genuinely confused as to the lack of communication among staff as well as with me. i’ll be back, but will not be ordering to go again.
As a paisano I prefer food from my own country. Let me tell you this though. I had Covid 2 weeks prior to coming here and the first thing I wanted to try was food from back home. It was the best choice I could have ever made. I suggest anyone coming out of that tasteless, odorless world; please try some home food near and dear to your heart. Antigua did that for me. Thank you
Food was great. We had Asada and Mayan Rice. I would give them 5 stars on food alone but the tortillas were not cooked at all. They tasted like they threw them in the microwave for 30 seconds. Also, whats the point in getting an appetizer if you bring it to me at the same time as the main plate? I especifically asked for the appetizer first, main plate after. And finally a pet peeve of mine: dont bring me the check before at least asking me if I want dessert.
Great brunch/lunch location. Not a ton of parking and can get pretty crowded but worth the wait. They have some of the best coffee/espresso drink options in the city. Haven't had anything there yet that I haven't liked. The churros are amazing!
This is my favorite restaurant in Oklahoma, and I lived there for 17 years. The eggs motuleno is so great, I've never ordered anything else. I've tried what others have ordered, but never felt like what they had types the motuleno. I'll actually be coming up to Oklahoma tomorrow and was so excited about eating here again that I wanted to review this wonderful place.
I’ve never been to Guatemala but after eating here I may have already visited in a past life. The Desayuno Antigueño was full of flavor. The black beans with shredded queso on top were mouth watering and the chorizo was perfect! 10/10 would eat again
YUM!!! The most tasty Caribbean fruit salad EVER!!!! Enough for 2 and priced below taste value. The Mazapan Latte was just the boost of energy I needed to get thru this beautiful afternoon without feeling sluggish. My husband had the Licuados chocolate banana smoothie that was amazing!!! Definitely worth an additional star or 2.
The reviews don’t lie, amazing food, the mocha was a must, and the service was great! So friendly and attentive. Wish I lived in town so I could keep coming back! Would highly recommend.
Lovely Guatamalan breakfast and lunch spot! The service was quick, the prices were affordable, and the food looked and tasted amazing! My hostess was also wonderfully warm and welcoming.
I went with my server's recommendation and got the #7 huevos motuleño which I upgraded to a double stack for only an additional dollar. It looked great and tasted fantastic! I also ordered an double iced mocha with soy which was also rich and delicious. They also have a developed espresso bar with many options if you're just looking for a caffeine fix. Would definitely recommend as a unique eatery!
The food is incredible!!! I can see why they are so busy for brunch!
The hot chocolate was decadent. The coffee was a smooth and full-flavored medium roast. Spanish omelette was inoffensive, but the chorizo lacked any interesting flavors. The beans and potatoes were only warm on the plate and not even hot enough to melt the cheese on the potatoes.
Long wait line. At least on the weekend expect an hour wait. Get on the wait list wait before you show up to the café. You can do it through yelp. They will send you updates as you move along on the wait list.
Service was fast but do wish they would checked on us more often than just once. We were needing things and had to constantly waive the waiter down.
Food ja delicious 😋
Friendly staff, good service & food. Always coming back!
Cozy little spot off Classen that has curated one of the best brunch menus in town. From comically large breakfast burritos to huevos montuleños to delicious mazapan lattes; there's a reason a line tends to form outside this establishment everyone Saturday morning.
First time I ate here, I left very satisfied! The food and service was superb! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in OKC!
I had never been here prior to today (12-4-2018). The first thing that got me was the odor. I'm not sure if the bathroom was backed up or there was a baby inside who needed to be changed.
Besides the smell the food was great & I will return. Just goi g to assume it was a fluke & they were having issues woth their plumbing or there was a baby who needed to be changed...
The building was neat & loved the decor
To be honest, I did not know what to expect before entering the doors. Greeted at the door, service was excellent and food was superior. Different but so tasty. Must make the effort to try the breakfast or lunch.
Chilaquiles and the mazapan latte are my faves but can't go wrong with any of their items
Amazing service and even better food. We came in the last hour of the day and our server was still calm, patient and very polite. 10/10 would recommend
Best espresso in the city. Excellent hot chocolate.
The food is always fresh and very flavorful. The staff is very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere welcoming.
I will always come back to visit as it has become one of my favorite spots. 😊👍👌
This place rocks. There is another South American themed breakfast in OKC, much more famous but typically with obnoxious lines and insanely crowded. Antigua is 95% of that place without the obscene wait. You should go here.
Great Breakfast and Lunch spot.
Ordered muchacha omelet, sweet cream waffles , horchata & papauya licuado, BEST BREAKFAST EVERRRR🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 WILL DEF BE BACK
Def had my cravings satisfied. Muchacha omelet was to die for, everything tasted fresh …
Folks I can’t tell you enough how much we enjoyed our breakfast and coffee. Just go to this place and eat anything on the menu. You will not be disappointed. Just go now. It’s really worth your time.
I've never had Latin American breakfast this light and delicious. It's a good start to the day that doesn't leave me wanting a nap. Great salsas, both red and green.
What a sweet place. My breakfast was amazing! So flavorful. Attentive staff. Reasonable prices. Family friendly.
Best option is to check the wait list.
Every time I go or pass by Oklahoma city, here is where I have breakfast/lunch. This Guatemalan food place is out of this world. Everything from service, food, and drinks are great. Especially the drinks!
Best place for Guatemalan food! Great coffee.
The wait was a little long. They use the No Wait app which makes it really easy to check in. But they don't advertise that they use this, so that was a little frustrating. Otherwise the food was fantastic and the coffee was, no exaggeration, the best I'd ever had.
The staff is so friendly. I enjoy getting the Mosh when I go. We went in on a cold day one time and they gave us some chicken soup that was intensely delicious.
We love this place and are never disappointed!
Great coffee and great breakfast Mayan eggs is favorite. Great service staff and food. The parking can be tricky in back is free. In front depends time the parking have to pay and can be tight to park in front
Some of the best breakfast food I've ever eaten. Uniquely laid back Guatemalan vibe. Often complimentary specials just for coming in! Great coffee too!
The selection and flavors of their coffees is astounding. I wish more coffee shops had their coffees! The brunch is out of this world. The service is okay. The machaca is yummy!
Usually enjoy this place but they forgot our food twice while half the tables already had theirs and didn’t even think to mention anything to us. Communication would have been nice especially since it wasn’t busy at all.
Amazing as usual...Wonderful food and coffee.)
Everything here is fantastic. The food is astoundingly good, the service is kind and prompt, and even the coffee bar is practically artisanal! If you have not been here, you have to go.
Hands down the best place to have breakfast here in OKC, coffee was delicious food was perfect! Definitely the best spot to have lunch!
Can't say enough good things about Antigua. I always feel great after eating here, definitely one of my go-to spots. 💯👌 #7 always good and veg friendly …
My absolute favorite restaurant in Oklahoma City. I once moved into an apartment due to its proximity to Antigua. Mayan rice and flautas are excellent choices but the absolute best menu item is the motulenos breakfast. Make sure you get coffee and plantaños en gloria to round out your meal.
Cafe Antigua is a hidden gem in OKC. Hands down my favorite coffee in the city. Anytime I have guests in town we try to stop at Antigua. They are a family owed business and they genuinely care about their customers and their menu.
My wife and I have been going here for years. This is hands down our absolutely favorite place to get breakfast/brunch. If you are in OKC you have to check it out.
Excellent coffee!!! The food is good too and prices are adequate. If you're looking for some good coffee you have to go there. The staff are very nice
Had to wait but it was brunch. Food tasted good. Service was good too.
Their cafe drinks are the best in the metro. Their chai latte is the best I've ever had. Food and service is always excellent. This is a great neighborhood restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere.
One of my fave restaurants ever! I eat there at least once a week! Excellent food and the ownership treat their customers like family.
The food and service were excellent.
I recommend getting reservations ahead of time.
One of my favorite restaurants in OKC! The Motuleno and Spicy Motuleno are my go-to faves with a side of plantains, that can very easily and satisfyingly be dipped in Mosh. Their new espresso bar features some delectable coffee/chai drinks and their Licuados are also en pointe. Definitely visit and see the new decor and taste the wonders of this wonderful little cove in Okc.
Very friendly. Great service. Our meals were delicious. I have to say that the refried black beans were the best I have ever had!
Cafe Antigua is consistently one of the best places in OKC- a hidden gem, and I hope it stays that way. We don’t deserve this great place!
OMG! Get to Cafe Antigua now! Have the best coffee of your life! Eat some great food! I love the Huevos Motulenos and the guacamole. They have vegetarian & non dairy options. There is a 2 hour wait (on weekends) for a reason. Get the NoWait app to help with that.
❤️ super delicious
It has gone a little down hill. They used to bring soup out before your meal, they haven't the last two times here. Their tortillas used to be made from scratch. Not anymore.
I got the waffles and they were really good. I love how they put banana in the batter
Amazing food and coffee, very fresh and flavorful! Very nice staff as well
Good food very nice staff can't wait to work my way through the menue and try it all
Amazing food. Fair prices. The employees are very friendly. They even turned a Bachata song up so my gf and I could dance! Its a must visit!
Got seated almost immediately, service was fast and great, and the food was amazing.
I used to think breakfast couldn't get any better than Jimmys Egg. This place proved me wrong! The Mayan Eggs are awesome, my favorite is the Montuleño. This place is addictive.
Amazing food and omg the DRINKS their Agua de Limon was so good and so was the papi churro latte. Amazing definitely will go back again
The food never disappoints here! Delicious menu, and great Latte/coffee options...
Hands down best Guatemalan food in Oklahoma. You can definitely taste the authenticity.
Cafe Antigua is our favorite brunch restaurant! The service is wonderful with a laid back atmosphere. The good is extraordinary! Love this place!
Fully recovered now from the turbulence of a huge kitchen staff turnover and the addition of a coffee bar on premises.
I actually avoided the place for nearly a year.
But they're doing fine now!
Always yummy! Fast service. Excellent fresh squeezed orange juice!
A very lovely and lively spot for a South American style brunch. Our whole party was satisfied with what we ordered.
Always awesome, much better wait for breakfast than expected. Interior is larger than several local Guatemalan and Brazilian places.
Excellent breakfast, exceptional coffee & espresso drinks, and great service!
Best chilaquiles hand down. BUT always super busy on weekends
My absolute favorite restaurant. There food is always amazing and the coffee is as good as any high end coffee shop. This used to be a hidden gem, but the word is out.
Very good food and the service was great!
The staff was very friendly and pleasant. I ordered the $10 guacamole and $15 guisado, both of which were pretty good
I recommend 100% this restaurant that food is delicious and the service excelente 👌
