Reviews of Casa d'Paco

This spot is the best. My son put me on this place years ago. This time we went to watch the Spain vs. Germany game and it was a whole vibe. The food never disappoints. It's always fresh and delicious. Was a great night to be around fellow fans. The only thing that could have made the experience better would have been Spain winning the game.

We have been here now 3 times in 2 weeks. We are so incredibly delighted with this place. I mean the Good is truly amazing and the service is great. You need to try the Rollitos de Salmon which are my favorite but we've tried a variety of dishes and they all exceed expectations. You will not regret coming here.

Best quality food and awesome food designs as well. Every plate fills you up and music makes you feel better. And you can also watch tv, great for group eats? 🤔 it’s walk in but if you have a group also make a reservation! First time coming and I ate everything without leaving anything behind 😋 this is my friend meal and I forgot to take mine but still delicious! 😋

What a great place. Well thought out plan and design. I ordered 5 different tapas all were mouth watery delicious. The paella was outstanding. Every bite had so much seafood. My hubby is really picky about his flan and the flan was by far the best he ever had he ordered another piece to take home. It's definitely going to be a repeat spot for us. Enrique provided 5 star service and although he was our server every employee stopped by our table to bring our food or just take away empty plates. The entire staff are exceptionally hospitable.

It's in a residential neighborhood, in the middle of a block. We almost passed it lol
The main house has a bar and a few tables. The outdoor patio has more tables and a better space.
Enrique was so attentive and helpful to a couple of newbies to a tapas bar.
We ordered 3 tapas and the Paella.
Boquerones En Vinagreta - Basque white anchovies in a garlic and parsley vinaigrette - this was good, a bit more sour than I prefer.
Almejas Casa D'Paco - Little neck clams stuffed with caramelized onions, sauteed serrano ham and chorizo bits topped with pancetta and broiled - amazingly delicious!
Pulpo A Galega - galician style octopus served with paprika and olive oil - this was so tender and delicious, my only issue was the salt crystals were too big, I thought I bit into glass... Lol
Paella Casa D'Paco - so so so good! Actually taste the saffron unlike other places. Plenty of seafood.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the music they played. We will be back to try other tapas'!

Amazing place, I would have never known it existed until my friend told me about it. While it doesn't have many vegan options, the drinks were amazing. It's a nice atmosphere

First time here - and it’s excellent! Cool vibe and music. Friendly atmosphere and enjoyed the outdoor seating. We love the tapas - baby squid, chorizos and potatoes, ensalada with salmon, steak tips with shrimp, octopus salad, grilled tiger shrimp, empanadas, 1/2 avocado and crab spread and the dessert was Maria cookies soaked in chocolate. All of this paired with a lovely wine. Were we hungry? Heck yeah. Our guy is Sam. So nice, friendly and offered great suggestions. Staff was great and attentive. Check it out, please.

Casa d’Paco was recommended by friends who are really into Tapas and they said we don't need to worry about ordering the wrong dishes since everything is delicious.
It's super popular and the street parking is limited, so they provide valet parking service for a $5 charge. However, they did double park on the street and it made us really difficult to move our car.
There is a great variety of options on their menu and we had a hard time making our decisions. The staff recommend to have 2-3 tapas per person so we ordered 6 tapas, 1 signature Paella Casa d’Paco & 2 desserts to share with a group of four.
The food was overall amazingly delicious and authentic as what we had in Spain. Our favorites were the Croquetas, which had creamy filling with crunchy layer and Pulpo a Galega, which was juicy & tender.

This place is just amazing, like it is out of a Netflix move, literally a hidden jam.
So about the restaurant itself it is in complete residential aria if you not follow your gps you would never say it is there lol
They have a valet that will look after your car, pretty much a double park situation.
But lest talks about the place it self, great atmosphere very cozy, everyone form the staff did amazing job, welcoming house, pleasant useful and professional buss and wait staff.
The food and the drinks were all delicious and came out just on time.
This place offer a wide variety of tapas plates all of them extremely well make and delicious.
Jess
Loved the atmosphere. We made a reservation for 6 but surprisingly it was empty when we got there, it was a Friday evening.
First time here and must say food was delicious. The drink which is their signature drink was not my favorite, unfortunately it had these seeds from the passion fruit that kept coming up when I used the straw, didn’t really like it.
The food tasty, and remember it’s all tapas like appetizers so you’ll get a couple of rounds of food. I love the pernil tacos & the shrimp. So much flavor!
The setting was outside but enclosed with little fans. I had requested for inside but was sat outside which like I said it’s enclosed. It was hot I would just suggest more fans because it’s so enclosed.
The decor very nice! And server great.
Melanie gotay
Relaxed and nice atmosphere. The server was very nice but the food I think needs more flavor looks good but didn’t taste good.

Compared to a couple of bigger more well known places along Ferry Street, this quaint restaurant which was located on a side street, did have valet parking. Well worth the $5 fee. Food and service was excellent and they feature tapas selections which change almost daily. We want to go back to try the specialty cocktails, though we had great sangria during our visit.
Jorge E Alvarez
Great atmosphere, great food .
Classic from Spain. Fabulous drinks 🍸. 👍
Robert Olohan
Food was amazing! Its a tapas place so my wife and i order 5 or 6 items and shared everything. Everything was delicious. The space has a great energy and atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
Jim Reitz
Charming spot in the middle of a residential area. Tha k go's foe the valet parking. Well worth the $5! Loved the shrimp in garlic, short ribs, mini crab cakes and especially the gin and cucumber cocktails! Service was great and will definitely visit again.
Miriam Duro
From the fig balsamic reduction in the "rollitos de salmon" to the honey mustard drizzle in the "mini crabcakes de espinaca" to the cheese blend in the "zamburiñas relleñas".... Definitely worth every dollar. I paired my meal with their very own "Paco Luca" tempranillo (full and light). For dessert: tarta de Maria.... made with Maria cookies (if you are Spanish, you know) that was to die for!
Waiters were friendly and attentive. Very clean area and atmosphere was upbeat. Will definitely be back ♡

Great spot to eat. Came here to celebrate my grandmother's birthday with dinner per one of my aunt's requests. The food was good and had great price ranges. There isn't much parking so the valet is worth it.

***update 10/28/22***
This place never disappoints.
I ordered strictly off the specials tonight and left happy and full. I've posted a picture of the TABLA ESPAÑOLA that showcases the originality of presentation: an attention to detail that's par for the course here, and appreciated.
I also couldn't help but notice how the bartender inspected every glass for water spots before mixing a cocktail in it, and hand toweled each to ensure perfect clarity. I appreciate this kind of attention to detail, and Casa d'Paco has it in spades.
Already looking forward to my next meal here.
***update***
The new 'outdoor' dining area was great last night. It's hard to call it 'outdoors' because it looks like a permanent structure now, and they decorated it beautifully.
My wife's and my meals were delicious as usual. The Caldo Gallego soup is perfect. I'm going to hope they keep that on the menu as a permanent item.
Love this place. Small, so it fills up frequently, but worth it. Great menu choices that reflect the Galician style cooking and changing as time goes by, to keep things fresh and offer variety.
The staff is very friendly, welcoming, appreciative of your business, and informed when it comes to menu and drink choices. One of my favorite places.
Sasha Demenjon
Came here for the first time this past weekend and loved it! A small place with dim lighting. Definitely make reservations. Tapas style. Food was so good. The red wine sangria gets a thumbs up. I will definitely come here again. Don't run too late because Newark street parking.
Sean Warr
Food was delicious. I couldn't say more good things about the attentive customer service from the server, Jose. He recommended two dishes and he was on point. It seems like a popular place and I'll be sure to stop by when I get back in town.
Des KF
This restaurant has been on my list for a while and was excited to try it. I was able to book last minute reservations online for 7pm. When we arrived I was lucky to find parking nearby on the street because parking is really difficult in this area. When we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and she sat us. The place is small with dark lighting but cozy. We were served by Octovo and he was good.
For my drinks I got the red sangria. My second one took a while to come out so they gave it to me on the house. I only wanted something small for food so I got the patatas bravas and it was so fresh and tasty. I loved the aioli sauce and it had a kick. My friend got the pinchos de pollo and she liked her meal as well, it did take a while to come out though. All in all we had a good time and will return.
Sarah C
The paella was definitely 5 stars but the other tapas were just okay.
The shrimp was doused in butter and Red Hot/Frank's and half cooked.
Leonardo Gonzalez
We ordered hot tapas and it was delicious! Nice atmosphere. Our server Mateos was very friendly and attentive. I definitely will recommend this place to friends.
Rich Kulaszewski
Small quaint restaurant valet parking, staff is friendly and accommodating.
We tried a number of appetizers and main courses. Everything was cooked to perfection and the quality was excellent
Alexander Calderon
It was back in September, for my birthday. My wife and kids took me to Paco's. Last year they had taken me as well, they know I wanted to go again.... I LOVE Paco's I'm planning on returning b4 the end of this year. THANK YOU!!!
Christopher Yap
Nice cozy place with a neighborhood feel. Everything we ordered was flavorful. My favorites were the octopus and the grilled tiger shrimp. The house salad was also pretty tasty, and I usually hate salad. Would definitely come back again to try the rest of the menu items.
Stacey Stace
Very nice place with excellent, food, drinks and service!
Michael Wu
Great tapas gem! Casual atmosphere with fantastic and authentic food. High recommend the potatoes, shrimp in garlic, chorizo!
Deanne Rae
Always great food here! The braised short rib was on the specials the day I went. Omg I am so glad I ordered it. The meat fell right of the bone and was soooooo tender! I wish this was a regular item on the menu!
Robert Jones
Great place! Welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable staff. AWESOME FOOD and DRINKS!!! A spot definitely worth visiting and visiting again!
Jason Liu
Busy busy busy! Casa d'Paco is one busy place! But as you can tell from my photos there is a good reason why. They serve tapas style dishes which are made for sharing in small groups, unless you get a paella which is good for sharing with at least 4 people. They have a house special which comes with a variety of seafood and half lobster. I also got to try the scallops and grilled octopus, muy bien. I finished off dinner with the flan which had a smooth and fluffy texture and was not too sweet. Highly recommended.
Julie Betancourt
The tapas...we had, cream of shrimp (shrimp bisque soup), shrimp with garlic sauce and the stuffed grilled lobsters were heavenly. The atmosphere with the umbrella sky, vey beautiful touch for outdoor dining. Service was great and the social diatance under the umbrella sky was comfortable.
Derek Sands
This place never fails to please. The ironbound's hidden gem, Paco may be the best restaurant in all of Newark.
mohamed abdelrahman
Fantastic atmosphere, amazing food, very authentic sangria and outstanding service. Definitely, will come back. Thank you
Roberto Gomes
First time there. I loved the Crème de Shrimp soup but I wasn't too impressed with the Lobster Ravioli. I definitely will be back though.
Elizabeth Condeveras
I am a bacalao lover and yea this is one of the best i have had.
So happy i picked this spot for lunch today.
Donna Howard
Amazing food, drinks were very well balanced had own house wine red and white. Sangria 3 different flavors. Many tapas seafood and non seafood. Croquettas were most tasteful. All dishes didn’t disappoint. I being a non- seafood eater tried different dishes and the flavors were amazing. While in Jersey for 14 days made it a point to dine here 3 times. We had a team of 6 and all visited here on different days. A must stop while in jersey.
Natalia Barros-Winkleblech
It was okay. The food was pretty good, it’s mostly appetizers. Small portions. The outdoor seating is not really outdoor, it’s a covered, a bit too dark improvised area. Service is good.
Ira Gross
This place is very loud. They have club music lasting which makes it impossible to speak to anyone at your table. The food at best is mediocre. This is my third time there. Many dishes were overcooked
Scott Chaplin
Great service and valet parking. Food was good, sauces were better. Ceviche was the best of our tapas along with the cod
Dennis Kaminsky
amazing drinks, wonderful atmosphere, great food!!! Do not hesitate to partake in this neighborhood gem
Satoru Ito
This was one of the Spanish restaurants I've ever been. Avocado was great, octopus was fresh and delicious, paella was wonderful. A few parking spaces but can park on the street.
J Ray
Great tapas bar with a decent selection of meals. Portions could be more, but it’s a tapas spot. And they even have valet.
Brenda Bendigo
Small restaurant bar located in inbound area in downtown Newark. NJ. A friend took me in a Thursday, she love this pot. The different between us is that I don't like small restaurant that also has a bar because its become an extremely noise and laud. The food was ok. The mash potato was too salty for me. No parking in the area since its located in the local neighborhood, so people double park. The food is verry inexpensive and in may see the same persons in the bar on regular basis. If you don't mind the noise, laudnes and the tightness, then you will love the spot 😀
Neha Jha
Great food, service, and courteous staff. I'll highly recommend the tapas with crab meat and spinach. My toddler created mess all around the table but the servers were friendly and patient with her. It may get crowded at dinner hours however it's reasonable place for lunch.
Julie França
It was the second time we went to this amazing restaurant!! First of all the food is amazing and fresh... We order the octopus and some crab cakes (the best one I've ever had). And a huge plus, our servers were just the best ones. They made our visit extremely enjoyable... Coming back here always and I super recommend it...
Guangda Shi
It’s not an easy place to find but the drink and service are good. The food is on the pricy side and the flavor were not the best. I did like the crab cake. Suggest for small group only, not a lot of room for large group.
Jared K
If you like seafood, must try the crab cakes and stuffed scallops. Great for a group hang.
Varun Mahajan
Nice, cozy place with great good and good prices. All the staff members are extremely helpful and friendly, and food arrives extremely quickly, and service is amazing. Might be a little noisy for some people, but I definitely recommend checking this place out.
Patricia Ruffin
Enrique was amazing!!! He is an amazing server & manager! The food was fresh and very delicious! I dine in NYC most of the time. This gem in Newark is a must! I’ve never had better food in Newark. You will be pleasantly surprised by the food and amazing customer service. 10 out of 10!!!
Greg Blair
What a gem! Fantastic food and attentive service. I had the picanha cooked medium rare to perfection, with crunchy salt flakes - texture and flavor was amazing. The shrimp bisque was creamy with a wonderfully shrimpy / buttery flavor. The shrimp in garlic sauce was the best I have ever had. The shrimp were cooked, well but not over-done, and the garlic sauce was amazing. It was sopped up at the end of the meal with the bread rolls
Rich S
Great food, superb service & well-priced. Has outside seating as well. Crab cakes, garlic shrimp, Cuban sandwich all superb. Will return soon to try more things! A jewel-
Mayra Amaral
OMG. A little hidden gem in Newark. Away from ferry street and Amazing food. You have to try the pulpo a la gallega and the zamburiñas de Galicia. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the food is amazing. We had authentic food when we visit Galacia about 2 years ago and this is by far the closest you will get to authentic Spaniard food. The server Amateus is super friendly speaks both Portuguese and Spanish. I was trying to practice my Portuguese LOL. I highly recommend this place
Amanda Pagan
The food was so good and the service was even better! The staff is very informed and helpful at suggesting options/portions. We got the patatas bravas, manicotti, veggie paella and butterscotch cookies - it was all delicious! The sangria’s are perfect and on Tuesdays they have $5 sangrias all night.
The space itself is very cute and a perfect place for a girls night out or date.
Steven Anastasi
Bread served to table was cold. the red sangria was weak. I didn't taste wine. drink seemed watered down
Yvonne Munoz
Make sure to order the octopus appetizer. Cooked to perfection and very tasty. Literally melted in my mouth. Paella was also good. Pitcher of passion fruit sangria was to die for. The place is located within a residential area so parking is scarce but if you're ok paying $5 for Valet then you'll be fine.
Jeff Hollis
We LOVE Casa de Paco. Parking can be a bit tough, but they do have a system. The seafood is fantastic and very vibrant in look and flavor. The wine selection is pretty broad and fair priced. The service is very good and they always make things right, in case anything is delayed or wrong. Much recommended.
Fuad Al-Aali
Good food. It’s self serve salad and hot bar with bbq in back. Only carne no fish on Barbie.
Quality of food is good. I would give. 5 star but since it’s self serve, it is widely recorded self serve restaurants account for majority of patrons food illnesses since the communal use of serving utensils.
Jennifer Baker
The service was outstanding and the food was out of this world!
Joe Buckner
We've been for dinners as well as wine events. Always great service with a delicious menu and a solid drink list. The food certainly takes me back to Spain!
Jamila Gittens
Everything was great! Food drinks and service. Definitely recommend this family run restaurant!
Kenneth Coles
OMG! Great food. Great service! Great atmosphere! I enjoyed this spot so much, that I went back for more the next day.
Ly Vu
The food is truly amazing and the service is great.
Rosa S
Food was yummm (small plates of amazing choices), sangria was great as was the flan for dessert, waiters were helpful n always around if you needed something. It's a very tiny place n appears to be like a covered outside area, not sure if it popped up for covid times n they decided to keep it open (the outside I mean). Parking is God awful n the only reason I even attempted it was that they have valet for $5. Otherwise I'm not a fan of looking for parking n that area of Newark is packed for blocks. I would definitely go back but do make a reservation as they do get busy.
Eric.S Viteri.S
Very delicious food
Amazing decoration
Friendly personal
dinorah rosallis-goncalves
Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Parking sucks. Valet leaves your car running out front or double parked. Staff is super friendly and fun. Definitely a great time!
Spero Kaly
Food was good, tapas had good portions, service was good.
ondina mendez
Sat in the Garden room. Mango margarita (frozen) for my cousin thumbsUp & pinot grigio for me. Service was good. Ordered some Tapas! croquettes were ok (I thought I would taste the bechamel sauce alittle more and less greasy) shrimp bisque soup was DELICIOUS! Chicken seared pinchos were yummy! Bread & Butter was a plus! Lastly, music should be a bit less so a conversation can take place... Enjoy!
cristina marin
Excellent paella and authentic Spanish food!! Great price and great service!!
Tumbo HD
The atmosphere and vibes were great! The food and service were amazing. I would definitely recommend.
Alejandra Delgado
Love this place.... cozy and beautiful ..food is amazing...
Nia Grant
LOVE THIS PLACE! Gonna miss It when I leave NJ but definitely always a vibe
Gavin Clark
Excellent! Off the beaten track, well worth it, great food and atmosphere. Very busy, so book in advance or wait 20 mins for a table, more than worth it though!
manuel polanco
Great food and service. Prices are fair. The first two wines I ordered where out of stock. Would definitely go back, especially on Flamenco night.
Luis Costa
Excellent variety of daily dishes ! Solid quality despite the size of the kitchen remaining the same after the added patio area.
But please pay attention to the Sangria. Before the pandemic I remember this being one of the best Sangrias in the neighborhood. Yesterday was not so good (tasted too much like wine and sprite) no spices/flavor and fruits like it used to be.
Vinny Farina
This place is amazing. Such a awesome atmosphere and excellent food. The outdoor seating is amazing with the very effective heaters. I love this place and it is a must visit when you are in the Newark area.
Wade Huffman
Very good food, drinks and fantastic courteous service! It is very hard to imagine a better restaurant in Newark.
diafer87
This is by far my favorite restaurant.. at this point I’ve tried almost their whole menu and there is not a thing I’ve been disappointed about ... drinks are great also and service is outstanding!!!!
Their outdoor is beautiful..modern, with a taste of Spain .. very welcoming .. can’t wait to go back soon
Stephanie C
Was hoping for a bit more flavor from the food. But thoroughly enjoyed my sangria pitcher. Very good service.
Rai Sa
Loved it ! Everything was tasty . Wish it was bigger and had more space to accommodate !
Olga Fuentes
My friends& I visited Casa d'Paco 10/5/2021 for the 1st time. Every single dish (tapas cold/hot) was beyond delicious. Fresh & mouthwatering . the staff was great. Thank you for the hospitality. We will return & share your location. 💥💥💥😍 …
Andrea Villa
This Portuguese restaurant is one of my favorites in NJ! The food tastes amazing and very authentic. Also, the service is always excellent!! Their drinks are also great - they have 2 types of sangria and both are delicious. They also host some events; my friend had her small wedding here. The staff was extremely helpful, kind, and attentive. They made the day perfect for the couple and guests.
D.E. W.
Once just an intimate, cozy little tapas joint, the pandemic created an opportunity to increase their capacity for a larger tented outdoor space. The tapas are good as are their entrees- the pulpo a la plancha is fantastic. Sangria for the area is standard ( read: better than anywhere outside of Newark) as well as a good assortment of Spanish wines and specialty drinks. I love their bourbon Negroni. Only negative is the parking situation. They make do with valet which get a you an attendant that watches your car as it’s double parked- it’s less than ideal. I usually skip the $5 valet and find street parking- albeit at some distance away.
K Chambers
This place is PHENOMENAL!!!! the food is LIFE ,I have never been somewhere where everything I tasted was amazing. I literally wanted to order the entire menu but had no more room after ordering half the menu. The hospitality is superb. The manager ,the staff, the bartender, awesome!!! Antonio my favorite! very professional and sincere. Wanna go back tomorrow 😊😊😊and again and again #chroniclesofafoodie
Luke Powers
I was visiting Newark from Chicago recently. We went to the Casa for a work outing and had a great time. It was a beautiful day outside so we sat on the patio. The Sangria was delicious a we shared a lot of tapas between 8 people
Highly recommend
Sebastián López Suárez
Guys!!!! You going to love this place FOREVER!!! Every single time in my options to go out! Beautiful, good service drinks and tapas!! Please if you go order something different as you order in the most restaurants! Zamburiñas bombones crab cakes langosta!! And sangria! Good prices and highly recommended!!!
E Rice
Excellent restaurant. Everything we ordered was expertly made and presented. Each plate came with two items, but it was easy enough to split each for 3 of us. The small pitcher of sangria was perfect for 2. The vegetarian paella is HUGE and tasty. Great ambience. Would definitely go again if in the area. Valet parking is necessary. Not too pricey, total for three was $73 before tip and we left full and with leftover food.
Teresa Jones
I was surprised the food was delicious! The servers were nice, not that bad, but it was well worth the wait. We ordered the cod, lamb, paella, and a beef dish. We also ordered the flan and their butterscotch cookie cake, everything was tasty. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a really tasty and flavorful meal. This place is quite small so make a reservation.
We'll definitely be back - hopefully very soon!
Kerlin Chacon
Highly recommend. Food was DELICIOUS and they had a large selection of Tapas. Service was quick and the prices were reasonable.
If you want to sit outside call to make a reservation..especially if it's going to rain because there is limited seating that will protect you from getting wet.
Casual User
I drove myself crazy trying to find a spot to park only to realize when I walked up to the door that there's valet! Keep that in mind if you, like myself, are visiting from out of town. The restaurant itself is super cozy and the night I visited it was packed to the gills. Our server was friendly and our orders came out quickly considering how many people were there. The food was a bit hit or miss but the overall experience was positive enough that I wouldn't hesitate to come back, despite the long drive.
Jessica Rivera
Went there for tapas and absolutely loved everything we ordered. We got the ahi tuna, stuffed avocado, grilled octopus, salmon rollitos, garlic shrimp, and papas. We also got 2 pitchers of passion fruit sangria. We are going back this week. Hands down amazing tapas. And super friendly staff.
Katherin Aldaz
It is a nice place and the food is good especially the avocado. Usually the food is and the environment is nice but lately their waitress have been rude l don’t want to serve certain individuals they have actitudes and ask irrelevant questions about persons identity like if it was an office, made me and the other people very uncomfortable how. The female staff in general is very rude. It used to be one of my favorite spots but am never going again.
Rich Q
This place is great. The food is fantastic. It's impossible to describe how good EVERYTHING is. They forgot to put ham in the burger I ordered, and I didn't care. It was still one of the best burgers I ever had.
The sangria is also very good.
This place is always packed. Make reservations.
Douglas Dzema
Love love love this place. A tiny unassuming entrance does not do this restaurant justice. Walking through the door you are hit with an amazing aroma that is only surpassed by the good vibes coming from people in there.
The staff was extremely warm and helpful. The food was titillating. The weekly rotated menus and specials were astounding. Perfect spot for a date that wont break the bank
I cannot recommend this place enough.
Elena Soto-Raspa
Amazing food. The sangria is the best that I have had throughout Newark and NYC. Casa is hard to get into because it’s so very popular; if you can get in, ENJOY!! The waiters are wonderful. Very nice service and very nice people. Highly recommend Casa d’Paco.
duggers13
Fantastic! The food and drinks were out of this world. The staff are kind and friendly as well. What they have done with the parking lot, turning it into a eating area, is amazing.
Fenny Tang
Great spot to go eat and drink. Good food and excellent service.
Avelina Cabral
Loved this place and would return/recommend.
I was just recently in Barcelona and this food was certainly just as delicious. Even the vibe was similar. Got the passion fruit sangria because I read so much about it on the yelp reviews and my friends and I ended up getting about 2-3 pitchers of it, it was so good.
Service was super friendly! Our waiter was very nice and attentive and even came by to refill our glasses very often.
Parking is a struggle but that's just what you get in Newark. Definitely did not deter from my five star because I was very happy about everything here.
Kristin Petrichenko
Tapas! This place gets busy, but its worth it! We shared several small plates and enjoyed everything. Cocktail menu is cute, but most of the choices were very sweet. Well-stocked bar if you know what you like. Great service, even when it is busy.
This gem is definitely worth a return visit.
Adrian Douglas
I went twice yesterday! My first time being there was lunch. We had the grilled spicy shrimp, grilled squid w/ cherry peppers the chorizo and their brand of wine. All was amazing. I went back for dinner as well- this place is a hidden gem & a true tapas bar. The owner Angel is a great guy. Get there before 5 or after 8. Small parking lot on the left so I'd count on street parking. Definitely check it out!
Simoni Barboza
The food is amazing!
Just the beverage ( wine) way too expensive but I guess every restaurant is the same.
Steven Polakoff
If you like really good tapas this is the place. The service was good for this kind of informal place. Noise level was high in the beginning and later reduced as people left. Valet parking is available.

My wife and I come to Newark twice a month to buy food supplies and to eat out. Last night we went to Tapas de Paco for the first time and had such a blast.
Great atmosphere. Everyone from the young lady that seated us, waiter, bartender staff treated us like regulars and made us feel welcome.
The sangria was amazing and very authentic. Everything we tried was delicious. The pulpo al la Gallego was so tender. Will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu. Can’t wait to choose something from their wine list. Great find. Check it out.

Visited this place during Valentine's day today and had a great experience. Everything was excellent from the valet parking to the great service. My wife and I shared a paella with the avocado tapas for appetizer. Highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic Spanish food.
Alex Delgado
Service is superb (seriously A+) and the tapas are very delicious and reasonably priced. Solid beer selection and the white sangria was a favorite. Can't wait to go back!
Eugene Mirsky
We came on a Saturday night which was pretty packed but the wait wasnt too long. The cocktail drinks and sangria were very good and not too sweet. The service and staff were also great.
However we only tried 3 dishes that sounded good but weren't as appetizing. We tried the avocado crab salad spread, the scallops served on top of mashed potatoes, and the grilled octopus. The dishes didn't really stand out.
We will give this another shot for the atmosphere and will try different tapas on the menu to get a better variety.

Amazing food, my one small gripe is that the music in the outdoor dining area is way too loud. Hard to have a conversation with someone across the table, but the food is phenomenal.
Dee Misnik
One of the tastiest menus I have ever tried.

Me & my friends were going up 95 and one of my friends grew up in Newark said this place is legit.
1st good sign was seeing how many people there were. Place looked packed, always a good sign, but we were seated relatively quickly and easily. Table was clean, had placemats, even had cutlery already. (I hate when I go to dinner and they give ya 3 cutlery sets when you showed up with 4 people - like yeah we lost a guy on the way to the table rip rip).
The 2nd good sign: EVERYONE there seemed to be having a great time. I love the positive energy.
We ordered a bunch of small plates, I believe they’re called “tapas” because the food is so good that when you’ve eaten the plate clean, your fork tapas some more on the ceramic dish to get the last bits.
One of my friends was hungry so he ordered an entree dish. Got a huge piece of chicken and shrimp with sides, all for under 25 bucks. Cannot beat that, besides the fact that it looked like it came out of a magazine.
We all shared a HUMUNGOUS thing of paella, it was legitimately insane, and I shall describe in due course: a. The thing comes out in a huge skillet thing, it was so much we all ate seconds and thirds and there was still a lot left.
b. The paella was STUFFED with SO. MUCH. Seafood. I hate getting ripped off by places that skimp and give you a gold fish bowl of seafood in a ton of rice — this place’s paella is like an Aquarium amount, in a house with 10 bathrooms, you can fish all day.
The drinks were good, I only had a sip of sangria to try because I’m a light weight. I believe the sangria was passion fruit man go - also my nickname in college.
Lastly, the dessert was a must, I had the cake and omg I definitely am going to try to recreate that recipe. We all tossed in about $30 bucks, with my friend who got an entree a little more. Insane value for the cost, I’ve spent twice that much tipping the Fromagér at The Modern in NYC. And that Belgian only gave me 3 pieces of cheese. I love wine and cheese though, what can I say it’s a baller time for me and I know I deserve it. All in all, the bill was less than 150, again, a quarter of a meal at The Modern, with authentic exquisite spanish cuisine.
The service was great, our server knew the menu ingredients off the top of his head (I know, I know... I’m assuming his gender, but he had a beard so I think we’re cool). So we left a generous tip snd I took some paella home. Ugh just this paella wow. Definitely will be back here again, oof it’s good I don’t live in newark or I’d be here everyday, living upstairs basically.

Came all the way from Long Island to eat here !! We did come on a Friday night it was packed we did wait 1 hour but we knew it was worth the wait . The pulpo, calamari , paella, Camarones everything was so beautiful it did not disappoint us. The waiter gave us all a free shot of a sweet liquor at the end which complimented the meal so nicely. The restaurant is a bit small but the food that comes out is so authentic and you can taste the love that goes into the food. Best restaurant in the world , my first choice all day everyday!!!

Amazing food and drinks. Great place for a date. Ambiance is not super family friendly but they never discriminate. Must try the paco sliders and passion fruit sangria
Vivian Carpintero
Five stars for ambience, food, and staff – our server, Mateos, was especially appreciated and elevated our overall experience :)

We visited Casa d'Paco on our way to an event at the Prudential Center and to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was recommended by a friend and we're so glad we went. The tapas were delicious and reasonably priced (as was the sangria). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the entire restaurant has a great atmosphere. The only negative is the parking situation, but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker. We'll happily be back in the future!

You want authentic Spanish Tapas? You want amazingly fresh ingredients that are prepared to perfection? Then this is the place. The food is outstanding. They also have an awesome selection of beverages, cocktails and wine. The place is small but very well managed especially with the demand to get in the door. I have been back and plan on being back soon. This is the type of place you get withdrawals from. :-).
Cynthia Antunes Hajduk
Small space. The person on the phone told us 6 people minimum for reservation and when we got there they said it was 4. The wait was over an hour so we sat at the bar. Food was great and service was excellent. They offer valet, but it's basically double parking cars or using the small lot that fits under 10 cars.
Ashley Duarte
Our server was so so nice and he knew the menu from the top of his head. Since it was our first he told us the ones that were the best to try as us being the first time. My fiance never tried fish but hes allergic to seafood lol but that day with no benedryl he ate the smoked salmon that had lots of different spices and he just love love love it he says! Their soup are amazing! The atmosphere is just calm and relaxing.. we really liked it as our first time!

I just visited this restaurant 2 weeks ago for my friends birthday and I must say the food was really delicious and cooked with love. We tried so many items and tapas on the menu. The staff was soooo superb and they treated us with such great customer service and we felt like family. I and my friends will definitely back again.
Louis Hellinger
Great little spot in the iron bound. I love the croquettes and the passion fruit sangria!
Beth Lewis
Have been to Northern Spanish restaurants where they make you feel at home and the food is fantastic. We got the same feeling at this cozy restaurant where we had the best sea food paella ever in the world, and excellent home made deserts. House wines where from the Rioja Region of Spain and the price was great. You can also go in the tapas direction which is also great. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Located in a neighborhood. Empanasas you must to try..

Top 25 Restaurant Designation? This place deserves more! Angel's dad is putting his heart and soul into every dish that comes out of the kitchen, and the food comes out rapid fire! There is literally no wait! Ordered 7 items and it was in front of me within 10 minutes! This food right here! There's nothing better in Ironbound or dare I say - ANYWHERE! Don't believe me? Go try it for yourself!
4/1/19: I just want to thank you guys again for an amazing time and meal this past Saturday. To see my mother, sister, and nephew happy from the amazing experience that you all provided is something we'll never forget. I'm sorry I missed Angel and Paco - but you guys showed that the restaurant is always in very capable hands. Thank you so much to the whole Paco Nation Team. We wish you much success

i love this place! ingrid is amazing and ricky is the best server in new jersey.

This is the best place in town, the food is fresh and delicious and the service is outstanding.
I'm a teacher in Newark and my students and I had a wonderful time when Angel, one of the owners brought some Spain cuisine to my school. My students loved the experience, "the best food I've ever had" "the paella was delicious" "the tortilla was so good" are some of their comments. Thank you so very much Angel for sharing with us a little bit of your country, your life and your cuisine, it was awesome!

I've grown spoiled by this place. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Newark. Stands out from the competition-and there are some really good places in the neighborhood so that is really saying something.
The Chicken Fiorentina is to die for. Service is great and very attentive. The owner is a sweet humble guy and he is always there. He personally makes the rounds to make sure everyone is satisfied and has a wonderful experience.
The place does get busy, and seating is limited, so expect a short wait if you don't have reservations.
Alexander Jimenez
To start ill say the worst thing about this place, their parking is very tight and small and parking on the street could be difficult at times.
But that doesnt matter. Once you are park and in the place it's all better. Their service staff is great, have a good selection of drinks and the food is awesome. All their tapas and entrees are great (tried all of their tapas) and they work quick. Give them a try you won't regret it.
K Dan
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I got the impression that you are a owner that is interested in ensuring that those you serve have a memorable experience. There was a mix- up with our order, however that error was fixed. The overall experience was good.
Martha Galvis
Amazing tapas and phenomenal service. Matt is an exceptional server. You must try this amazing restaurant. You will love the experience here.
Christopher Brennan
First time visit. Great Spanish cuisine with super atmosphere. Had several of the delicious selections and enjoyed every bite. Recommend stopping in this establishment. Looking forward to my next visit!!!
Avelino Figueira
This is a great place for tapas and sangria never disappoints
Zeek Bercovici
Great food & wonderful service yet if you want the Paella which is what they are known for don't come in right before they close cause all main meals such as that take 30min.cause they cook it on the spot as ordered . They drinks were good valet parking . Adults only place is too loud. We'll definitely go there again.
Leo Amador
The staff is friendly and professional, the service is exceptional, and food is amazing! I come here often, sometimes to watch soccer games and other times I come with my family. They are kid friendly and they have a parking lot! If you are looking for the best Spanish Restaurant/Tapas Bar in New Jersey or just for a happy hour drink come check this place out! You won't regret it! Oh btw, I am not an octopus fan but my wife is, she loves the pulpo here they import it from Galicia!
Gdkdj Hsjdn
I have been coming here every week for months and they have not missed a beat. Everything on the menu is delicious and the drinks are superb. The staff are attentive and very nice. Every time week I come I know I am guaranteed a great experience!

The best food I had on my trip to New York was in New Jersey :)
Seriously, this place is amazing. Great atmosphere, super nice people... and the food made me make random Homer Simpson sounds all the way to the airport. I bet the Lyft driver thought I was insane. Try the crab cakes.
Andrea CM
Been here twice in a couple months. The food is delicious, I'm a big fan of the octopus, and the owner is very courteous. Can get packed but the wait is def worth it. We had the flan for dessert and it was great.
Jennifer
Hidden gem in Newark! This is a small family owned Spanish restaurant. Everything here is fresh and made to order. It gets loud, tables are close together, and it’s hard to find parking, but the food is certainly worth a visit! We had the octopus, potatoes with spicy alioli, and chicken empanadas for appetizers which were all very good! The chicken empanadas are definitely a must order! They were fantastic, and will order them every time we go! For entrees we had the cod and the shell steak slices sautéed with portobello mushrooms in a Jerez brandy. The cod was good, and nicely prepared, but had some bones. The winning entree was the steak slices sautéed with portobello mushrooms in a Jerez Brandy! It tasted AMAZING! You have to order it! Unfortunately, for dessert they were already out of everything except the butterscotch cookie cake. The butterscotch cookie cake was good, but we were looking forward to ordering a few desserts not just one. The food is excellent here, and the prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend dining at Casa D’Paco in Newark!
Cesar Camacho
1st time here and the atmosphere and service is fantastic! The Tapas menu is great and changes every week. Tasted the avocado stuffed with crabmeat, balsamic infused smoked Salmon and grilled octopus.... Kudos to the bartender Angel...
Christina Jackson
Attempted a few times to eat here and finally lucked out in parking. You could be driving around the block for hours finding a space to park so try to visit during off-eating hours. Cute and cozy neighborhood restaurant with a big bar serving Spanish tapas (appetizers!) in tiny plates. Service was swift (we had 3 different waiters serving us). We ordered 9 items from the menu, some mediocre/some better. The pasta dishes were great. The seafood dishes are better than the meat. Great scallops! I can make a better empanada; although it arrived fresh out of the fryer, it didn't have enough filling and it tasted bland. Bowtie pasta was delicious, so as the pollo fiorentina. Superb selection of wines and sangria. Carafe of sangria is a better deal than a glass. Cheesecake is good but the flan is better, if they have it.
Joseph Vazquez
The most friendly Spanish restaurant we’ve ever been. The paella is the BEST we’ve ever had, top notch wines from the Rioja region of Spain and flan and cheese cake made on the premises that was really good. We highly recommend it.
Jess Gracias
Great hidden gem! Stumbled upon Casa d'Paco while searching for a tapas restaurant in the area. I read all great reviews and decided to give it a try. Boy! I'm glad I did. What a great little place serving up declious food and sangria. Our table sampled a variety of tapas and our favorites were the stuffed avocado, octopus, empanadas, and Cuban sandwich! The red sangria was delicious too! Looking forward to my next visit!

Casa d'Paco is an absolutely phenomenal restaurant. The food, drinks and staff are top above anything else in Newark. I'm greeted with a smile each and every time I go. I'd say my favorites are all of them. I don't really have a favorite. Maybe the tacos! Definitely the tacos! lol. Go and see it for yourself. The staff will greet you at the door.
Tom Mcloughlin
Love Casa d'Paco. Best restaurant in Newark in my opinion. Great food, interesting ingredients. Simple dishes with 3 or 4 ingredients, but high quality for each ingredient. Great service always - as it is tapas, the waiters are busier than a traditional restaurant as they're serving 7-20 dishes for a single table, so cut them some slack. Even when our waiter got into the weeds a little bit (totally not his fault), the owner & head chef was super attentive at our table taking our order. I will continue coming back here, and more importantly I will always recommend this as the place to go in Newark. Ignore the 'Ironbound classics' that survive purely on historical reputation, but are incredibly overrated and get to Casa d'Paco, you will not be disappointed.
Flavio Medina
This place has amazing Tapas !! and the drinks don't fall far behind. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed . It's small and intimate, perfect .. maybe for a 1st date or just to hang with friends. Try to get there early because this place is no longer secret.
Eric L Koons
Tapas, specialty cocktails, and friendly service mark this hip little Spanish restaurant snuggled away in the Iron Bound district of Newark. It's a tight fit, but the closeness adds to the comfort and high energy this bar and restaurant exude. Octopus, squid, chicken, filet, potatoes, and everthing in between, was all cooked to near perfection and finger-licking good. There were only a few minor slips. One dish ordered did not show up until they were reminded and a cocktail was never delivered because they didn't have it. They just never delivered it or told us. How about letting us know and offering an alternative? These isolated and minor incidents did nothing to dampen our tables great mood and spirits. It's a bit of a trek coming from out of the region as the tight streets and plentiful traffic lights in Newark will wear a bit, but it's worth it for everything it offers. You will be rewarded.
Flor Lilibeth Vargas Coronado
Perfect place for great tapas!!
Bruno Fonseca
The food is top notch here. Everything we had was fresh, really flavorful, has a great vibe. Yeah parking is a pain, but the food makes up for it...
Shawn Kelly
We waited for our table for about 30 minutes at the busy bar but the time zipped by. We enjoyed a pitcher of red sangria while chatting with friendly and neighborly patrons at the bar ibcluding the bar tender and the owner Angel. All recommended the paella for dinner so we tried it. Our appetizers included ceviche and chicken empanada which were delicious. We then shared a paella and bottle of the restaurant's own wine. My friend and I frequent spanish restaurants and the paella was the best we have ever experienced. The waiter service was outstanding and the owner checked on us during dinner and wished us farewell when we left. Our visit to this gem was delightful and I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

This is a must go to if you are ever in Newark NJ or even a driving distance. The food here is amazing. This is a hidden gem for sure hidden in the streets of ironbound Newark NJ. The tapas here is a must and he sangria is amazing. The wait sometimes could be a while but well worth the wait. They have a great verity Of things to eat and drink. The bar is very well put.

Ok, but not as great as other reviews would suggest. Sangria pitcher was primarily ice. Even after 1h in the restaurant, it was more than half way full of ice. So better drink wine or beer, rather than paying for ice. The chorizo we ordered was old/ gone bad. When I took a bite I had to go spit it in the bathroom. They took it off the bill, but should not have served bad meat. They tried explaining that it's different spices than traditional, but I am sure that was not the case. The shrimp with garlic and the octopus were good. Service seemed too pushy to me.

Loved this place! The food was stellar and the hosts were all quick and on top of every order. The place has a wonderful atmosphere and the drinks are done very well.

Food was alright.. Small tight space. I was waiting for my beef ribs and asked for bbq sauce, unfortunately, they didn't know what that was and didn't have any. Oh and No one really spoke or understood English well.
oscar ammugauan
Drinks menu alone is a 5 but the food is also excellent. Parking might be tough but they have a valet a service.
Sthevens Rodriguez
I was first introduced to this place last year in September and loved it. The environment is what you expect at a restaurant/pub. They're mostly known for their tapas but I was astonished when I had the paella. I first started out with the stuffed avocado which is a avocado skin filled with a crab stuffing blended with avocado, accompanied with slices of toasted bread with a little bit of garlic and olive oil I believe. Simply delicious and a great starter. The paella was the best paella I've had and I've been to other restaurants known for their paella in the ironbound area and none compare to this. The service is great and the wait is never too long and if it is ... it's worth it.
Malí Leon
One of my favorite places in the Ironbound in Newark NJ. The food and drinks are so delicious and the menu is always keeping my tastebuds wanting more. The different dishes make it never boring with a curiosity to see what they’ll have that day. Fresh, exciting and simply original. It always makes me feel like I’m coming to have a meal at a family member or friends place. The staff has amazing customer service, always very friendly and very easy to suggest something delicious if your not sure what you want to try! The neighborhood is residential which gives it more of a friendly atmosphere. So if you want to be transcended to a little piece of heaven, Casa d’Paco is the place to be. You might even have the pleasure of meeting Angel the amazing owner!
Glendoval Stephens
The Ironbound District is known for its restaurant. Among such notables as Spanish Tavern, Iberia, and Casa Nova, this one stands out. It's small, hence densely packed especially on weekends. It's a tapas bar, which means that if you have an unlimited budget and a big appetite, you can sample all night long. It's a bar, so you can get your drink on, if that's your thing. And it's a quality restaurant with good tasting food. Definitely worth a try.
Afevis Solmunko
Amazing. The food is to die for. The drinks are fantastic. The service is impeccable.
Definitely stop by if you're in or around Newark, this is a location that is extremely easy to overlook, but once you head there, you'll find a new go-to spot.
Julia Sherry
I lived in Spain for two years, and this is some of the best Spanish food I've had since I've been back. Great atmosphere and delicious tapas. They even have Spanish beers like Estrella Galicia.
Alex Sampson
Delicious food, great staff. Valet was on point !
Atan Arctan
Was invited back by the owner, Angel, after my boyfriend and I didn't have such a good experience the first time around which we really appreciated!
This time around the service and the food was impeccable! We started off by ordering the Patatas Bravas which was really tasty and served as a great starter dish. Afterwards we went with the Garlic Shrimp which blew us AWAY! The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the garlic sauce itself was worth eating on its own or even better paired with bread. As our main dish, we ordered the Paella which was extremely delicious and by far the best paella I've had... This dish alone can serve up to 2 very hungry adults or even a group of 3! (Our 3 dishes were certainly 5/5 and I would extremely recommend ordering all 3)
For drinks: we had Sangria and Pinot Grigio which we're very good and to top off our dinner we had cream shots which was coffee based and tasted really good
All in all, we're extremely happy we gave this place another chance and we'll for sure be coming back again!
J Deans
Awesome dining expiernece and great date night option. Great fresh food and amazing drink options offered as well. We had the salmon steak and chicken breast and shrimp entrees. We also enjoyed amazing tapas options with the shrimp in garlic sauce and the scallops, lobster meat and cheese- just perfect! Also don't miss out on the passion fruit sangria and other drink choices- just wonderful dining option nestled in Newark as a hidden gem!
Uriel Guzman
Loved the place, small but cozy with a traditional Spaniard decoration, food was real good, had appetizers only, since we had a concert to go to near by, we had the gambas al ajillo, pulpo a la Gallega, (make sure you ask for the racion size) calamares Fritos, Jamon Serrano, and chicharron de pollo.
Everything was real good and our waiter was very attentive.
We will be coming back.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent, flavorful and authentic food.
My husband and I went to Spain for 2 weeks last year and have not found any truly authentic Spanish food until now. We are layed over at EWR so we decided to venture outside the airport and try this place and boy are we glad we did! We especially recommend the pulpo, beef stew, garlic shrimp, and langostinos.
Andrea Rivera
great service, generous servings of wine. Steak was good, the shrimp in garlic was perfect! Biggest draw back is lack of parking, Be prepared to drive and find street parking.
Claudio Fojanesi
Hands down a fantastic place. Literally looks like someones apartment (Paco's?) from outside (with customer parking although somewhat limited aka 4-5 cars) but let me tell you about the revelations once the doors swing open...first off pleasant decor ( Spanish AF) with limited table seating (to be fair a large family of 18 had a reservation) but plenty of bar space with an attentive bar tender. Starting off with drinks- good beer, wine and specialty drinks. Good prices for the size of the drink especially for the sangria and wines. Sangria is a steal TBH with 12$ for a pitcher (about 3.5 wine glasses worth!). Menu is included a good selection of Spanish tapas with about 5, maybe more entree sizes. Food is banging. I ordered 2x Paco sliders, 1x tips, and 1x garlic shrimp to share with my girlfriend. Food was banging. Slider beef was delicious, well seasoned and not unreasonably greasy. The garlic shrimp was perfect... Not too greasy not too garlicky and Shrimp perfectly grilled, tips with sirloin and shrimp was pretty good, meat a tad over cooked but flavorful, shrimp bomb with a ton of well grilled mushrooms. Seriously one of the best shrimp I've had In a while. The real star though was my parents dish- the paella. If anyone knows about paellas they know how easy it is too f up. This paella was amazing, authentic, well seasoned, well done and I basically stole their left over Paella because its was worth fighting over (made of shiv out of lobster tail). Flan banging with surprisingly good espresso. A real treat for Newark and a hidden gem. Will definitely turn you into a returning customer.

Great Romantic Authentic Spanish Restaurant with Large selection of Wines.
The owner "Angle" caters to excellence where every guest is treated like family. And surprisingly in the Ironbound Area they have parking available.

Go and see it for yourself. The staff will greet you at the door. The sangria will flow and you'll devour the tapas. You will throughly enjoy this place. It's like finding an Easter egg in the ironbound.

Unbelievable place! We live in Allentown, stop here whenever we can. Stumbled across the place while at a concert at the Prudential center. Food just top notch! Empanadas, breaded shrimp, Pollo jalapenos potatoes pepper mix my favorite. Great place to explore the menu. Friendly environment, service great! Soccer always on tvs. The only challenge is finding a parking spot in the neighborhood. Can't wait to go back for our 8 th visit the last 3 years

Amazing Food and Staff.
The Food was an taste of excellence. Just great.
The Service was very kindly and professional.
The Decoration was good but the Comfort is not the best one.
Conclusion: Recommandation for an Visit.
Lawrence Freidman
have mixed feelings about this place. the food was very good. the service was excellent. but the parking is so so bad. took me 40 min to drive to restaurant and another 35 to find parking. the lot on premises holds 5-6 cars. cars are double parked outside the restaurant.
Aurora Porto
Decided to try eating here on my birthday and with my friend who was visiting from Spain. I loved it. I had the caldo Gallego and paella. I'm in love with their rice. I enjoyed the Galician cider drink and the cafe Galicia .The chocolate dessert made with the Maria cookies was out of this world and so rich. Nice atmosphere, our waiter was very nice. We found parking right out front. Having a dad who is from Galicia, you learn about all the good food and this place has it. I am highly recommending this restaurant. I will be back. I wish them the best of luck.
Ana Barraza
Great food and experience. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful in us picking out our food.
Daniela Castellanos
The churrasco was overcooked therefore super chewy. The bacon wrapped filet mignon was also overcooked. Staff doesn't wear their masks over their noses just their mouths. On a positive note the waiter did provide shots on the house and they were friendly the entire time.
Melissa Scott Coale
Amazing tapas! Super busy and small, definitely make a reservation and enjoy hanging out and drinking pitchers of passion fruit sangria! Octopus and seafood paella are a must for groups!
Katrina Goodwin
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively. I'd definitely come back again!

Angel and Paco are one of a kind people that have created an absolutely fantastic environment to dine and relax. This is one of my favorite go to spots in the ironbound where we must go around 2-3 times a month easily. Angel and his team make you feel like you are one of the fmaily and the food and drinks are absolutely superb! Keep up the fantastic work Angel, we will continue to come back and you have a customer in me for life!!

Very good red sangria! The tapas were made fresh to table, well plated and very delicious. Octopus was to die for. Thank you James for the great first experience here at Casa d’Paco!
Lee Weinstein
Wait staff is remarkable and the food is exceptional. Great Spanish beers, I rated it 4 stars for the mere fact that it's a tad on the expensive side for tapas. Otherwise, it is a five star establishment.
Jimmy Trabelsi
We sit at the bar it was a Great experience. Best tapas in the east coast. great Spanish wine and the service excellent. great job john , we will be back soon. Thank you

Great experience. The staff does such an amazing job at attending everyone and working together. Super friendly. Food was delicious
Jason King
I tried a bunch of tapas: aguacate relleno, camarones al ajillo, pulpo a galega, clams casino, chorizo con chimchurri, and I didn't get the name but they were like crab bites- it was breaded stuffed with lobster, crab meat and cream cheese balls with a side of a light marinara sauce. Yes, I needed to describe the last tapa because it was actually my favorite one!
I only have two cons about the place: parking sucks which you can double park and the staff is pretty attentive if someone needs to move their car or if there is cop driving down the block. However, my date got a ticket :( the other con is they ran out of the filet migon tips !!
Overall, service was great, ambiance was good & the food was amazing! Super fresh and cooked to perfection!
Ric Soares
Food and ambiance score this place 5 stars even though the lighting could be more dim. Note there are TVs in the place, but even so it's still one of the best ambiances in Newark. A mayor favorite.

Best restaurant in Newark if you’re a foodie then this is the place to be and visit with friends a lady or even your mom great great food angel and staff are amazing . It’s tight and can get very busy but the food is always worth it !!! And now they have valet that guy is a star! God bless this place
Aidan Mcgourty
Hidden gem in Ironbound!
A little noisy inside, but awesome food and drinks. They have nice happy hour specials too, the owner is one of the bartenders!
You won't be dissapointed!
Alex R
Attentive staff, wait time can be awhile if it's crazy busy, it's gonna be a little pricey for the tapas, aside from that all the plate selections I had were delicious (crab cakes, the chicken breast pieces and the garlic sauce shrimp, seriously their garlic sauce is amazing.)
Alexander Morrison
Great level of service! Food is at another level entirely. Yes it's tapas... But you'd be surprised how satisfying and full you get. Dollar for dollar... Incredible value!
Tyler Branco
Best spot for Iberian food in Newark. My family loves this place.
Alex Paz
I've been to a number of restaurants in Newark and this by far is my favorite. The food is delicious, service is quick, and the staff is friendly. The only downside is limited parking but otherwise great.
Rebecca Lara
I almost don't want to review, because I want to keep this gem to myself. This restaurant has it all - the food, the drinks, the staff, the ambiance.
Get the crab cakes, you won't regret it.
Rick C
Food was great and I wish I had more time for more pitchers of sangria!
Aaron Sued
The food is amazing- a bit of a long wait to be seated on weekends, but well worth it. Friendly staff and affordable for the quality of the food and drinks.
Gerardo Heredia Cavero
I love this place... One in a while we go there. Everytime we try something new in the menu, the food is delicious. I love their passion fruit sangria.
Nacho Filgueiras
Outstanding service Best place in the area for tapas and the paella has no comparison to the ones I had tried..
Steve A-G

Yumtastic fantastic. The passion fruit sangria was so perfect and truly the only thing that allowed me to fully recover from a baby hangover. Oh wait and the fooood noms. Nomss. Camarones al ajillo to perfección and a scallop infused with all kinds of yummy thangs. Great now I'm hungry!
Ed French
I was really surprised by this place. Everything was terrific. Portuguese tapas and wine. There were 4 of us, so we could try a lot of different things. Good deals on wine too.
Jason Xiu
This is the best and authentic spainish food I have had in NYC area! My wife grew up in Spain. We both love Spanish food but unfortunately we couldn't find real spanish food in NYC area. (The spanish import food store in soho is great but they serve tapas only, not real sit down restaurant). Casa D'paco is serving real Spanish food and you can ask for Iberico hamon if they don't have on the menu.
Carol Williams
Small, homey, old neighborhood place that's punching way above its weight class. Each dish had something a little bit different / special about it. Favorites? Aquacate Relleno, Salmon a la plancha and the Pulpo Galega. Had a very reasonably priced bottle of Albarino--brand bottled as "Paco Luca" and worth more than the $25 they'll charge for a full bottle
Tanesha Sommers
Great food and service!

Their Pulpo a la Gallega is as authentic as you can get without going to Galicia. Tapas are reasonably priced and usually better than the entres. The Sangria better than most. Love the European atmosphere.
Silvio Lavrador (Investor & Realtor)
Gets crowded but worth it. Always new and interesting tapas to try. Love the avocado and crab, mini burger, and the rabbit stew was on 👉 …
