Reviews of Who Dat Coffee Cafe
We are sooo happy we came here! Service was wonderful. The food is off the chain - had crab & crayfish cake with eggs Benedict, grit & and their special of the day - aubergine layered with cheese & and incredible shrimp sauce. And if you’re Aussie looking for good coffee, we really enjoyed our cold pressed coffee’s with milk 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 …
Who Dat gonna beat this cafe! Taking the local culinary fare up a notch this petite cafe is no second in line to the others. The special today of Boudin & Eggs Benedict with fresh fruit is divine. Blessed by Peter & Paul you will covet this spot! Next door to this cafe, steeped in the hood, is A historic church, school house, rectory and convent, reborn as #HotelPeterandPaul.
Kept my breakfast simple this morning, but Marigny has many unique, eclectic spots for coffee and breakfast. Eleven to be exact. Who Dat is the jewel of these experiences. Situated on the corner just down from the fantastic Peter and Paul Hotel, it welcomes you with outside seating with large umbrellas, a placard of the specials of the day and a door inside to more seating as well as a fully stocked display of delicious pastries, cakes, fresh fruit and a fantastic coffee bar with no detail unattended.
The stations from host to cooks to waiters, barista and service staff are all attended by long time employees. A sign of quality management. The food is well thought out from basics to New Orleans specific items. The coffee is of the finest quality. Absolutely satisfying from the simple to the intricate. They get it right. Even the average, plain coffee is special. Even the decaf. Absolutely perfectly prepared and served by attentive waiters that have personality, skill and are fun.
Being a tourist you can expect a delightful experience. Being a local you can expect your selections and names to be remembered.
This is a well run place full of laughs and characters you’ll remember just like the coffee and cuisine. A wonderful find in a perfect place.
Awesome atmosphere and drinks right around the corner from our room at Old Towne Inn. The Irish monk was an especially great way to start the day.
Great staff with a chill vibe like hanging out with friends. Full case of baked goods and a varied menu to make everyone happy.
Outdoor seating attracts plenty of k9 patrons and the wait staff love to share treats.
This is a cute restaurant outside of the busy area. They had outdoor seating and colorful decorations. Good spot for brunch. The food was good and the service wasn't too bad. They lose a star because we all felt they were not very friendly when it came to helping us get seated. They were asking for proof of vaccination, which we did have. But, it didn't feel welcoming and friendly the way they treated us.
It’s a lovely cafe. Good coffee and pastries. Decor is funky and catchy. Outdoor space available. It was walking distance from my Airbnb so I loved visiting it every morning.
Solo breakfast this morning. This isn't my first time here and I will definitely keep coming back.
I got the usual -- country fried steak with potatoes (because I'm a meat and potatoes guy) with a small hot mocha. The service here is always fantastic, I love the quiet and cozy atmosphere, it's a great neighborhood, and the food is top notch. Total was just under $20 plus tip. Thanks, Who Dat!
This place is a true NOLA gem. The staff was impeccable with their service, the Chef walked around greeting tables and the food was on point. It always makes my heart happy when I see restaurants using recyclable styrofoam cups. You must try the Dirty Filthy Chai! We definitely will be back.
Delicious food and friendly wait staff. The catfish bene was amazing and we were treated to a performance by a saxophonist across the street as I drank my coffee. As a visitor of the Crescent City, this was the New Orleans experience I was hoping for. 5 stars!
Very friendly place with the biggest coffee I've ever had in my life! Great spot for breakfast. The corn cakes were so good, absolutely smothered in cheese and my partners omelette was also great.
Delicious food and super friendly people. Lovely outdoor seating. Good coffee. No notes, just great.
Ummmm where do I begin? The place is cozy, calming atmosphere with the friendliest- attentive and easy going staff. They have so many different coffee drinks including alcoholic mixes- full bakery and delicious hearty meals!!! I ordered the corn cakes and wow. Definitely will be recommending and coming again
Probably where I’d eat breakfast EVERY day if I lived nearby - so good!!! Simple and no frills breakfast but made with love. I’m not a Benedict person but theirs was so good on top of the roasted tomato, and I love the side of fruit to keep it light and balanced. King Cake latte was good, had it iced in a styrofoam cup. Decent portion but a little light on the alcohol, not gonna complain since it was not even 10 am lol. Staff are welcoming in and check in throughout, still laidback and casual for a quick easy meal
Typical friendly marigny spot to eat. Good food. Professional wait staff with personality but not "attitude". Creative and playful drink offerings. I'm glad I ate breakfast there and I'll go there again soon.
Let’s discuss a local gem in the Marigny that will hold it own with any Uber popular breakfast/ lunch locations in NOLA. Don’t let the understated exterior of Who Dat Coffee Cafe fool you. The chef and eclectic staff at Who Dat have something special for every pallet. Time to dine together; we will get started with a house Bloody Mary- if you follow my reviews you know- no brunch is complete without a great Bloody Mary, the Big Gurl is something you must savor complete with all of the usual veggies. Of course anytime is a good time to add a smooth cafe au lait. The coffee sets the bar for all others in my opinion. On the menu a great selection of creole and cajun breakfast and lunch options, I chose the daily special, a home made grit cake interlaced with a host of unique cheeses and smothered in a creole tomato and shrimp roux base, topped with paper thin fresh green onions. Lest we remember fresh fruit with every meal. The hand selected sweet honeydew melon and fresh local berries rounded out the meal nicely. Don’t spend hours waiting in line in the quarter/ grab an Uber and make your way to Who Dat Coffee Cafe. Make the trip to this local establishment and you will not be disappointed. Definitely at the top of my brunch list.
Excellent. I would highly recommend it. The service was very courteous and friendly. The place decoration is beautiful. Very clean. The food was plenty and delicious. You guys rock!!
Post ida and during covid visit update :
I love the way these guys do breakfast and was curious to see how ida n covid changed the things they do .
I was pleasantly surprised by how safe I felt here to dine with my kid and dog .
They require proof of vaccination even if you sitting outside. They set up our table very safely apart from other folks who were sitting out there : sadly we were seated at a slope which made things hard for kids to eat and manage their drink cups .
I am in love with how the food tasted and how good they were with attending to us .
Note : pet friendly (would cater to pet friendly egg order )
The atmosphere in this café was really cool, the staff were really friendly and the food was just perfect. I'm on a holiday from England and this is the best breakfast which I have had since I have been in USA
so yummy! great local spot for delicious food. you have to try their homemade jellies!! top tier service as well.
Best breakfast I had in new orleans. Bourdain bene. I'd make the 8 hour drive again just for that. Don't serve food Tues Wed:/
Visited here while on vacation. I got the chicken fried steak and my wife got the big nola breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also both got the Irish monk coffees and they were mixed perfectly. Service was excellent and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back on my next trip to NOLA!
The service and food were great and fast! I really enjoyed hour colorfull it was.
Me and my wife was looking for somewhere different to have brunch than the usual places we go to and I came across Who Dat Cafe.im glad I came cause the food was really good. I plan on visiting again soon.
First, I'll say our waitress was very kind, and her personality is what took this review from a 4 to a 5. The big girl bloody Mary is delicious without going too crazy over the top. I tried the catfish bene, and the fruit was a very good side. The catfish Benedict wasn't very flavorful for me, but I still ate everything. What really made our morning was the waitress though. One of the patrons in our group bought her a shot. I hope she had it when she got off her shift. Thanks for being so great.
Great cozy place, service was great, food was delicious. Coffee with a kick to it, a must try. Place was busy, but fast.
Good cheery Cafe, with an extensive breakfast menu. The homemade biscuits were incredible.
Oh, wow. This was such a great place! I got the "not yo mama's corn cakes" with bacon, cheese, and green onions. That made me so happy.
My wife got today's special, which was a crawfish & cheddar scramble. I'm so glad she's found this place, and I highly recommend both the food and the atmosphere.
Loved our visit to Who Dat. We were a large group of 8 and they cheerfully set up a new table on the footpath for us. Food and service were outstanding, with the chicken-fried steak and corn cakes being standouts. Highly recommended venue for breakfast/brunch!
The crab cake Benedict was soooo good. Their bloody marys and coffee were very good. Our food took quite a while to arrive because a couple of large groups had just been seated but our server was excellent and brought us out a round of drinks on the house. The atmosphere was lovely and we had a great time.
Great experience here! Our waiter Drew was super attentive to us. We were seated immediately upon arrival "outside seating" and even though we didn't have reservations "spur of the moment " they found a perfect spot for us! First off we ordered the Bloody Mary! What a burst of refreshing energy packed in that cup garnished with veggies! For breakfast we enjoyed the chicken fried steak with potatoes. So delicious with whole cloves of garlic and onions delicately tossed in. Weather was perfect nice and cool... out of many visits to NOLA, this one was in my top 10!
Cool little neighborhood spot, really busy so you know it probably is good. We just stopped to get coffee, which glad we did because they have boozy coffees and they were excellent, so much in fact that on our way out of town we stopped by to get another one. Maybe we'll try the food next time we come through
Best place for breakfast in the Marigny. The Crabbe Benne is delicious, love the Boudin benne special too.
Great selection of drinks and especially love the white almond Russian. .
Staff are always lovely and friendly.
One of my favourite places in New Orleans
Brunch is always a real treat here. The coffee liquor drinks can be hit or miss, but definitely strong. The food is always really top notch. On our most recent trip we enjoyed the boudin balls and crawfish omelette.
What a cool little place! It will definitely be a regular stop when we visit New Orleans. Breakfast was amazing and had great service. Enjoy a breakfast cocktail and some great food!
The coffee was amazing! And the food was pretty good too! We had breakfast food and it was good. The biscuit and Jelly was on point. Would totally recommend this place to anyone.
Quick seating, delicious omelets and breads/sweets. Probably one of the best flavored lattes I've ever had. The staff was friendly too. Will definitely be back.
I was visiting from out of town, and I stayed at the hotel on the next block. I walked over a couple of times for coffee and Italian sodas, and they were a super friendly, chill group. You could tell that they had regulars from around the neighborhood, and I loved that vibe.
The daily special was fantastic today, and the other items on the menu were delicious. The mimosas and the bloody Marys (spicy) were good for the price, but I need to try some of the drinks on the menu. Very attentive staff, and they accommodated 5 people without a reservation.
We coffee snobs enjoyed every sip. As well as the perfectly soft biscuit with homemade triple berry jelly. Good vibes, too. Excellent start to the day.
If you are looking for an amazing place for coffee and brunch, check out this adorable place! They are super friendly and make the most amazing foods and beverages!! And the prices are very reasonable! Worth going to see, so glad we found it!
Best sandwiches in town. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Definitely try out the burger and BLT.
Tip, make sure to go for early lunch, they close on time.
Cute little breakfast joint. Just got the crawfish scramble special and cheese grits to go. They have some great Cajun fusion stuff on the menu!
Food was good and everyone working there was super nice!
Who Dat Coffee Cafe might be among the best breakfasts in the city and nobody talks about it. Any egg dish is delicious. The special crab pie is fantastic. The remoulade is the perfect sauce topper. The staff is wonderful and memorable. Outdoor seating is required as of this review so be sure to take weather into account. That's all you need to plan for because you will be receiving a delicious meal.
An absolutely wonderful experience. The service is friendly and welcoming, and there is lovely indoor and outdoor seating. I had a tasty coffee and will be returning to try more of their delicious concoctions!
Best breakfast we've had in NOLA during our vacation. Very friendly staff. Quiet street corner. Outdoor seating. Perfect for a mid morning food stop.
What better than great food.... great service!
We stumbled upon this place after walking to a few others where the wait was outrageous. The staff at this establishment was phenomenal, super interactive, friendly, and attentive.
Found this nice spots that has amazing desert and amazing breakfast. For me personally I always have dessert before a meal. Most moist carrot cake with a blueberry almond cream cheese bar. For breakfast I had not your mama corn cake with to poach eggs a cup of sausage gravy in one with a French press coffee
Great little relaxing spot. Pancakes were good and fluffy. Wasn't impress with the cajun scramble. Wasnt bad, just wasnt anything special. But the Not Your Mama Corn cake was delicious. Highly satisfied with that dish and it'd be a great reason to come back to grab just that dish and some coffee.
Coffee itself was decent and felt a little weak for my hard coffee taste buds. Some of the flavor was a little too sweet for us. The coffee did come in this cute giant coffee cup. Service was a little slow but the staff were super friendly. Owner/Chef came out to say hi to people which is always a good thing.
Overall we had a pleasant experience with this place. I really recommend you guys try the not your mama corn cake.
This place is Phenomenal!!!! If you are a tourist to this great city.....and in search of a good breakfast place ripe with locals——this is it. Saturday 9:45am.
French Press Coffee A
Chicken Fried Steak A (I’m a native Texan so this is a high honor)
Wait Staff A+
Chocolate Chip Cookie A
Local Flavor A
Overall A. In my opinion the best breakfast spot in NOLA.
My wife got banana pancakes and loved them.
Year after year, I love hitting up this adorable corner cafe. It has such character and soul. The food is always amazing. So is the service. During the week, get an outdoor bistro table and take in the local atmosphere.
I absolutely love this place! The food was amazing. Our waiter was so sweet, checked on us often and very helpful. I also loved that the chef came out to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. We will definitely be going back.
Nice and quiet. Perfect for a breakfast after a Mardi Gras evening
We were in town and ended up eating there every day, great food. We ordered corn cakes, eggs and sausage with grits (the grits are fabulous) catfish, and they have homemade jam. Pretty much everything is yummy, plus great coffee and adult beverages. The food is served by terrific staff and they are kid friendly.
Very lovely place. The staff are attentive and energetic. The food was amazing. Great place for breakfast.
The food is really great. I tried their breakfast burrito and it was awesome. They also have freshly cut fries which was one of the best I ever had. Their ambience is also very nice. They have outside sitting as well as inside. The quality of service is also praiseworthy. Would definitely visit this place again and highly recommend to anyone.
Nice service, good food, delicious Bloody Marie's and coffee cocktails to get your day started
A small café with a few seats inside with air conditioning and some seats outside. Friendly and courteous staff. The coffee was okay but not amazing or different. The Barista's specialty was ginger honey peach tea which was better than the coffee. WiFi/Internet connectivity is available here.
Some of the best breakfast I have ever had. The creole subtleties in southern brunch cuisine made our visit one of the best.
Very good breakfast. Had the corn cakes and they were great. Photo is the crab stack special...also very good. Service was great. If they had nailed the Bloody Mary it would be 5 stars.
Great location "off the beaten path" very local food is great; people are friendly.
Went there on a whim, very content with the quality of food and service. Got the breakfast plate sub potato and bagel and da phillip quiche. Also had a drink called the dirty chai, was a chai tea with a shot of espresso that was amazing. They had an assortment of pastries inside we didn't try.
Indoor and outdoor seating.
I had to come on here and share my story. This place was so GREAT. The staff was great, especially our server Dreux. My family and a few friends visited for my birthday breakfast and they treated us so well. The food was amazing. I had the De Mandeville omelet and I'm not sure what they did to it but it was so damn good. The sauce they add to it was superb. I highly recommend visiting here. Their prices were very reasonable as well and great portion sizes.
I had such an amazing experience with this breakfast restaurant! It was my birthday morning, me and my friends decided to choose this spot to have breakfast. And it was worth it! The staff is super nice and friendly, especially, the Thai waiter. He was extremely attentive, polite, and kind to us, which made a nice start to my day.
The food was delicious as well. Da Cajun Scramble was amazing.
Thank you so much!
So happy to be able to go back to dine at one of my favorite brunch spots! Call ahead to reserve one of the available outside tables. Friendly and attentive service, stellar Benedict, and amazing coffee keep me coming back. So good!
Love this place! They're all super friendly here. The food never disappoints, no matter what you choose. We always get the Not Yo Mama's Corncakes. Best thing ever!
Such a cute spot that's highly representative of the special personality of the Marigny. Food is awesome. Will return on my next trip to NOLA!
Amazing food, the cold brew coffee was great. Waiters were super friendly and sweet, can’t get any better. I wish his cafe could come to New Jersey with me haha
We went there for a breakfast. Because the weather was really pleasant, we chose to sit on the patio. The food came out really fresh and the service was great too. We tried the breakfast special, which was a burrito with a lot of flavor it in. We also had the Da' Marigny which had crab and shrimp favored with their secret sauce. We really loved the food there and will surely visit the place when we go to New Orleans again!
What an amazing place! Amazing customer attention, amazing food, amazing Cafe au lait (better than Cafe du Monde) Seriously, come to this place and enjoy, they know how make healthy and delicious food . Also the place is greatly decorated. Please come and enjoy!
Food was good. Mimosas were heavy with OJ. Very NOLA atmosphere. I would go back. Interesting menu.
Best breakfast ever, catfish and pouched eggs was awesome
This is One of my favorite breakfast places. I come a long way just to pick me up some fresh ground Marigny Medium roast coffee.
everything was delish -- cold brew, Bloody Mary, eggs Benedict -- and the staff is friendly.
First let me say walking into this place and smelling fresh coffee is the best thing on a Saturday morning lol. Secondly they had a special with crab cake, fried green tomatoes, topped with crawfish etoufee and MY GOD! It was Delicious!!!!! Great portions for the price. Love the atmosphere of this spot. Definitely take time to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised
I really enjoyed this cafe. It came highly recommended by my friend and it didn’t disappoint. The server was pretty attentive to my frequent requests for coffee refills etc. The coffee quality, in my opinion, was fine but not great.
They score major points when it comes to the dishes. I had a quiche with crab/gulf shrimp. It was so delicious. I also tried the biscuit with mango jam and it was ok. Not the best but not bad either. I liked that all the food was fresh and hot and the portion was quite sizable and filling.
Couldn’t have been any better! Awesome latte, delicious food, eclectic atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely return!
Best breakfast and brunch and away from the hubbub. I loved my quiche with crawfish and crab sauce. My wife had a crab cake Benedict and loved that. Perfectly ripe fruit was nice to have also. Coffee is excellent also.
Was on a tour of New Orleans with a local tour guide who said this was his favorite spot for breakfast.
I am so thrilled we stopped here to eat. The entire staff of this place is welcoming, friendly, amazing, and I would like to be their friends. I should have got their names but anyone there on the morning of 7/31 - YOU'RE AWESOME!
The boudin benedict's might be one of best things I've ever eaten in my life. My soul is in love with whoever the chef is there. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
If you're looking for authentic food in New Orleans, I'd recommend this spot. It's small, cozy with the casual family feel. I tried the Cajun Scramble and it was delicious. The eggs are cooked with grilled onions, bell pepper, and sausage with a side of potatoes. This is a great breakfast/brunch spot.
I have loved this place in the past, but was made to feel unwelcome today by a surly employee. Be nice or leave should apply to him!
Loved the vibes. Had their bloody Mary which was awesome, had a nice kick to it and was only $5! Got their chicken fried steak which was amazing. Get the poster salad cause it some of the best I've had. Loved eating on the street, such a great location for it
Great food and attentive service. My friends and I closed brunch out and the staff was very patient with us.
The best spot in the city for breakfast and lunch - great staff and amazing food! Make sure you try this place out…
I just left this place and still haven’t wiped the corner of my mouth. I felt obligated to review. Not only is the food delicious, the service is great. They were so friendly. The decor visually appealing along with the dishes. We’ve already decided to return tomorrow. Bonus: they offer military discount and the gentleman at the register thanked me for my service.
This is my new favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch place here in New Orleans. It was recommended to me and now I'm recommending to everyone else, local or tourist. Food so good, I will be going back each day trying a new item.
Best place to grab a late breakfast in NOLA!! Been here multiple times on visits and the food is always amazing and coffee strong!
Great corner place to get breakfast or brunch. Good coffee, great service and nice decor
Loved it, breakfast was amazing. A bit hidden but will get there with google maps it's just deli
Really great experience here, the staff was all super friendly. Cozy and clean atmosphere. The corn cakes were delicious and had a great crunch, the catfish bene had a good flavor combination and the fruit side was fresh.
Beautiful New Orleans style, great service, great food, and it was close to our Inn. Walk around inside it's beautiful, love the art.
Great place for brunch.. lots of desserts and coffee ☕ to choose from, too .. highly recommended!
Breakfast here was outstanding, couldn't recommend more.
It was very easy to make a reservation for outdoor seating, and tables were very spread out.
Food was great, and service was excellent and friendly.
A must stop by when visiting New Orleans! Try the Crab Stack for brunch, it's two fried golden fried green tomatoes inbetween two two crab cakes and topped with crawfish etouffee. It's so flavorful and rich. Enjoy with a morning mimosa!
Came here this morning with my wife and dad. I had Da Crabby Bené; probably the best breakfast I have had in my 41 years of life. Their ice coffee was delicious too. Great, friendly service. We were seated right away as well. I cannot recommend this place enough, if I could make it 10/5 stars I would.
The catfish Benedict was out of this world yumminess. I had the eggs scrambled. 10 of 10 would have again and again.
Overcharged on the grits and when I pointed it out, I got a shrug. The cheese grits on the menu are $4. They charged me $5, then an extra dollar for cheddar, which he asked if I wanted... After seeing the extra charge post-pay, I then asked what cheese it comes with and he said " whatever you want". So I don't get where the $2 extra came from. Atop that, the grits were meh.
Quaint neighbourhood coffee joint. They do flat whites. Did not expect that! We had the Bywater bene and a pancake of the day to share
Got the crab cake bené which is a little pricey (obvi) so we shared it between two of us. Absolutely delicious. Sat outside under the fans. No wait to sit down at 11:30am on a Sunday.
Great service and food on both visits.
Delicious! Just what you need after a New Orleans Night. Super friendly staff & comfortable outside seating
The food was amazing. This is the Not Yo Mama’s Corn Cakes. Definitely would recommend this.
The food and service was AMAZING!! Will definitely stop by again on my next trip 🥰 …
Extra friendly and helpful staff 💞💞💞 Food was absolutely fantastic! Definitely try the crab cake benedict and ask for their special chocolate chip n bacon pancake!! …
Best coffee and breakfast in Marigny! Da Crab Bené is impossibly good. Enjoy with a boozy coffee cocktail.
I love this place close to the French Quarter but far away from the tourist crowd and the imitations of real food. Here ingredients are top notch, service is caring and the result is a warm place to nourish body and spirit even on cold days.
Food & Drinks were great. Had a little bit of a wait to get seated but it was worth it :)
This place is fantastic. My latte with soy milk was lovely and my Da Mandeville omelet was maybe the best one I’ve ever had. Great egg to filling ratio (lots of filling) and it was perfectly cooked. My fruit side was great too - seemed fresh and sliced up this morning. Service was great too!
Loved it and can't wait to dine there again.
The White Russian coffee was phenomenal
His and hers.. I had the Cajun scramble, filled with flavors and moderately priced.. couldn’t recommend this place any more. Very laid back setting with a cozy, homey feeling, as well. GO
Great atmosphere and the service was excellent. The food was good but I would've like more of an selection. Not taking away from the overall service which was so so good I'm just overall greedy....lol. Must try!!!!
The food is amazing and it’s a cute place with wonderful coffee.
Great breakfast and lunch place. Good menu, friendly and welcoming staff. Good spot to recover from Bourbon Street the night before.
Super cute brunch spot with great service and unique menu items! Loved the homemade jams also!
This is one of my favorite places in my city. As a local, I enjoy breakfast here frequently. When I go for my morning walks before work, I love to stop in for a coffee and talk with the staff. The food is amazing - I constantly crave the corn cakes, I DREAM about them, and have even had the bartender/barista name a drink for me to ask for personally by name. This business keeps the locals AND tourists in high spirits, even when going through the darkest of times. I have heard that they’ve been given flack for trying to keep their staff, their city, and their clients safe. I support you and all of the small businesses in New Orleans who are doing what they can to keep the food, the culture, the economy of the place they love a priority. I love this place, the people who work here and will always give my support!
I loved the food and the service is awesome. Definitely better than some of the neighboring breakfast spots! It's a must to come here!
The food was delicious and the service was great! I love this place already. It will be my new spot and everyone was super friendly!
There are not enough words to describe how delicious the corn cakes are.. Friendly place, great food.
Super cute coffee shop in the French quarter.
The coffee menu had a great mix for all levels of coffee enthusiast.
They're food menu looked appetizing.
We ordered two coffees to go and two breakfast sandwiches.
Love local spots and this one was perfect for a quick coffee. And to just think about last night.
All around, this is a wonderful place. Location is ideal for so many locals because it's on the corner of two of the main streets in the Marigny. There's a fairly new hotel and restaurant right down the street, and the city has been re-surfacing all the streets in the neighborhood so all around this spot is looking better and better. I see a definite increase in business for them in the near future. Plus, you can stop in while walking your dog and it's all good. Pet friendly for sure.
Great local neighborhood cafe. There is limited street parking, but it's fine if you go when it's not too crowded. Nice service and Indoor and outdoor seating.
Great food, I had the "Not your Mama's Corn Cake" and it was really good. They did not cheap out on the cheese as it was smothered in cheese, bacon, and green onion and the cornbread was perfect. I didn't have the fried Catfish but I saw it being delivered to a others table and it was a nice large fillet that looked perfectly fried, got to try that next time.
I absolutely love WhoDat Cafe! The staff is always warm and inviting. It’s like having breakfast with family. The food is absolutely delicious and their daily specials will knock your socks off. . The owner Craig is always there and he makes sure each and every one of his customers feel at home. Give this place a try!
Open for breakfast on Mardi Gras. Everyone was dress les up so beautifully. The server was amazing. Food was delicious.
This is my favorite neighborhood cafe in the city. The food is delicious and the staff goes above and beyond! I love the fact that they are trying to keep the citizens of our city safe by checking vaccination cards. Times like these are not easy for small businesses. This place is a gem!
This is my favorite spot in the Marigny. The staff is amazing, the food is excellent, and the ambiance is delightful. The lattes are perfect (I’m picky about lattes). They are also dog friendly which is a major plus. And in a pandemic they have continue to put their customers and staffs safety first. Love you guys!!!!❤️❤️❤️
I ate here twice when visiting to New Orleans last week and it was hard to go anywhere else for breakfast. They had a pulled pork Benedict special that was delicious! But when I came back I had the Da St. Phillip and it was incredible! I’m at home now still thinking about it. The staff was very friendly, whipped me up a bougie iced coffee. I really appreciated their vaccine stance and giving their customers a safe place to eat as well. I can’t wait to go back ❤️
Great coffee and breakfast options.
Really great covid regulations, requiring a mask inside and proof of vaccination. As you can tell from the negative reviews, this keeps the Karen and Kyle crowds out which makes it a much nicer and safer environment for the majority.
Would absolutely recommend.
Great breakfast/brunch spot. Service was attentive and fun. Menu was broad with classic new orleans touches. I got a quiche with crawfish and crab on top and it was delicious. Would go back.
I love this place and have been coming here for years now! Food is delicious and coffee is great. I love the outdoor seating and it's also cozy inside with a great relaxed vibe. The staff are friendly and everyone is welcoming. I couldn't ask for a better neighborhood cafe.
The Vermillion special was awesome. I loved every bite.
A great spot to grab breakfast or brunch. Our server and the employees were amazing and the music was great giving this spot a nice vibe. Don't get me started on the food. We ordered "Da Catfish Bené" and the "Not Yo Mama's Corn cakes" with a side of their homemade jelly (Pineapple Mango). I had a mimosa with my meal and he had an Expresso. I was very impressed just ordering those 2 items had me thinking about them all day. Lol Highly recommend this spot especially if you're a tourist. 🙂 Vaccination cards are required to sit in.
I have to say this place was amazing. We were visiting from Dallas and on our last day we stopped in at this Cafe, it was right down the street, what could be more perfect right? It was AMAZING, the staff was great, the food was amazing the vibe over all was A+ would definitely recommend.
This is a fantastic breakfast spot, it will not disappoint.
One word to describe this place. . . Phenomenal! From the service to the food to atmosphere, every aspect of my visit exceeded expectations! The staff was exceptionally warm and friendly. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. And nothing was more relaxing then eating outdoors on a warm Sunday morning. I thoroughly recommend this place!
Went to who dat Cafe and was seated right away. Had the turkey bacon blu sandwich and a glass of sweet tea,and it was great. Will definitely go back.
In a city known for great food, the best place to start your day is Who Dat. It's great for grabbing a quick coffee and a breakfast sandwich to fuel a long day of walking. Maybe you had a bit of a long night and need a good Bloody Mary and some amazing Not Yo Mama's Corn Cakes. Perhaps you're looking for a comfortable place to just relax and have a BLT mid-day. The friendly staff, welcoming vibe, cozy ambience, wonderfully made drinks and delicious food will place you into the perfect mindset to take on the rest of your day. Whether that day consists of touring the city, lounging on the couch, parkour running over the city sidewalks, or the most popular New Orleans pastime.......sweating from simply stepping outside.... Who Dat will get you through it.
Best sausage gravy I've ever had and a great chicken fried steak
Delicious brunch! Very very generous dishes, as well as 5$ huge mimosa. We had a quiche and some sandwiches and spent a nice hour surrounded by local people from this beautiful neighborhood it gets really crowded over the weekend so reservations are recommended
Cute place, nice ambiance, and the BEST Biscuits and gravey I've EVER eaten! Very friendly staff and quite affordable too. Can't recommend enough.
This place was everything. I loved the food, the coffee, the vibe, and the staff is phenomenal. I just moved here and a local friend brought me here, this is where I will take every visitor for their first breakfast
Always good food and coffee in the Marigny. Highly recommended.
Best breakfast in New Orleans. Simple but very tasty food. You know it's good when there is a crowd outside. Still, it did not take long at all to be seated. Crawfish omellette was superb. The $5 mimosas were the reason we went and they were very big and tasty. The food stole the show.
Very pleasant breakfast stop. Nice group of workers. Very nice breakfast. Benedict’s on ciabatta so a little soggy but very flavorful.
Nice staff. Good drinks. Good food :)
Nice cozy restaurant. Good service and excellent food. They also offered coffees to go what I thought it was a nice gesture
Excellent fare, excellent service, quirky, artsy and pretty NOLA ambience.
This place was awesome! Perfect morning joint. My favorite was the corn cake dish. The server Nate is the best. My friend had her birthday the night before and he nailed it! He brought us cake and helped us make her feel special! The best way experience we've had as tourists so far!
The food was very good and the service was excellent. I had the half biscuit and sausage gravy which was the perfect size and very well seasoned. The Da Mandeville omlete was very good although the egg was slightly overcooked.
It is a nice little spot not off the main drag, I recommend.
I love this beautiful little place! It's locally owned and operated which is a major plus for me The food is absolutely amazing! It's a great spot for brunch with some close friends especially when the weather is great and you sit outside. The staff goes above and beyond and we're extremely friendly towards everyone! We had the opportunity to meet the owner and I can't speak enough great things about him! He is so friendly and sweet and he walked around to most tables to talk and chat with the other guests. I've already recommended this place to a bunch of friends that are in town for French Quarter Fest. This is definitely a must when you come to Nola.
If you’re near here you should go here. If you’re not here, get in a taxi and go here. The team here are truly delightful and the food is tremendous. The De Mandeville omelette is a true highlight
This was my hands down favorite place we went in all of New Orleans. The coffee cocktail I got was so good I ordered a second one to go. The shrimp quiche was to die for, I wish they sold their remoulade; I wanted to buy it and take it home. The server could not have been friendlier. High quality ingredients. Good vibes, good coffee, good food, good peeps.
Amazing service and food. Our waiter Nate was extremely attentive and open with us. The experience he gave our group made us love our trip to New Orleans even more eventful. The food was awesome. Portions were definitely worth the $ and it's not even expensive! 10/10 would recommend this spot to anyone passing through New Orleans
PS: Ask for Nate.
Great service, really good food, but expensive. We got plenty of drinks. I can't remember what the twist on mimosa was, but it's made with cranberry and don't bother. We also had two of the coffee drinks and they were awesome, the plain coffee was amazing too. We had a breakfast platter, the catfish, the sausage scramble and the only dish on the breakfast menu without pork. Everything was drool worthy, except the potatoes. They are breakfast potatoes, dry with little flavor, not fried potatoes like you make at home. Only disappointment in the visit. It's the only restaurant we agreed we would visit twice even though we swore not to repeat so we could take in more food options from different places. So good. Three adult beverages, four entrees and one plain coffee, was $93. I forgot to take pictures but I'll get them next time.
A local recommended this place and I couldn't be happier! its packed with locals, that's always a good sign. The coffee, the food, the atmosphere and the staff are excellent. I highly recommend it. the coffee, I dare say, was one of the best I've had in the US, breakfast was filling and delicious. It's a place I will definitely come back to.
Such a lovely treasure in the heart of the Marigny. My friends and I lucked out and stayed in the area for a conference downtown and lived like locals , walking to breakfast TWICE (stopped in for coffee a third day). We not only enjoyed fantastic food , generous drinks and excellent service, but we were treated like friends. The owner remembered us and greeted us upon our return. You will not go wrong with anything you order, but the corn cakes are to die for, as are all of the sandwiches and of course, the gravy. Best coffee in New Orleans and that is saying a lot!
Not a bad place to get a shot of frangelico in your coffee
Delicious, filling breakfast. Very friendly, easygoing vibe. Some typically only in New Orleans options that all looked awesome. Good place to have a nice yummy brunch with lots of chit chat.
The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. Always a good place to go.
We eat here approximately three times a week. We send all of our Airbnb guests as well as family and friends for a delicious meal with excellent service. The people and dog watching are also entertaining. The cafe catered our wedding brunch! Every single time it is delicious! The service is friendly and excellent. We can not sing enough praise about how reliably excellent our experiences have been at this neighborhood cafe
The search for a Melbourne standard coffee is over. When I get back to Melbourne I’ll be on the search for a Who Dat standard coffee.
The breakfast was hella good too!
Seriously love the food and decor here. Make sure you ask about the specials because one time I was there I got the fried green tomato stack with crab, etouffee and cheese. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten anywhere. The only thing I've noticed is service can be a little hit or miss. I have been there 7 times in the past couple of months and 3 of the visits, the service was incredible, the other 4 I felt like the servers were either in a bad mood or just didn't want to wait on us.
Nice small spot. Had driven by a few times and always saw people in & outside. Biscuit was good, grits good, but if you like them soupy they won't work for you. Jelly excellent and I usually don't bother with jelly. I'd go back if just wanted that environment. Oh the electricity went out while we were there and the staff remained professional.
We loved this brunch spot. They have everything you'd expect, great service and food, and fairly priced. Their big girl bloody hits the spot! Great location if you're staying near frenchmen street.
Ho hum. The food is decent enough but nothing really wowed us.
Good savory scones, and endless drip coffee! Sausage, eggs, and biscuits were okay but overpriced for the quality.
A New Orleans native introduced us to this quaint and well-decorated spot. The food was great, and they had a wonderful coffee selection. We waited quite a bit for our food, but I think it was just an unusually busy weekend for them. They got us seated very quickly, and everyone was friendly. We would definitely return.
This place was recommended to me after relocating, so I looked them up and drooled over the food pics for several months. Today I finally took my kiddo for her birthday, and we were not disappointed. The food was bomb, the atmosphere was laid back, and the service was hella friendly and top notch. I wouldn't change a thing. We'll definitely be back.
Great atmosphere, great food. I just would have liked to have chosen the jam for my grits. I was looking forward to it since it's homemade and my friends server listed all the flavors but when I asked if he brings a tray of jars or of I pick one, he didn't give me an exact answer. Whichever one came with my meal was delicious, but it was only a dallop, not even a full teaspoon :(
Best breakfast in NOLA hands down. The coffee cake and not yo mammas corn cakes was the best meal I had in a LONG time. Highly recommend making this stop along the not so touristy part of town.
The staff there were incredibly friendly and made you feel at home. I would eat here everyday if I could.
This is a cute little cafe in a quite neighborhood. They have quite a selection of baked goods which are very good. I've been several times since they are close to my house.
Service has been a bit 'iffy' a couple of times, but no one has ever been rude. One of the disappointing aspects is that apparently the outside tables are reserved for people who are dining as opposed to those of us who just might want to drink our espresso and relax outside. I know this because I specifically asked when I noticed several 'reserved' signs on the outside tables. What a shame especially since they do have an inside dining room.
I absolutely love these guys! The food was fantastic. The guys were great and the atmosphere was welcoming. 100% recommend this as a breakfast destination!
Cute place, but slow service. I need my coffee fast! Food was good, but small portions.
At first glance just another Cafe, but the service is good. The pace is very slow, you will not get your food fast but you will get great food. We ate breakfast there three times and I may be partial to the Not your Mama's Corn Cakes, but the bene's are on point.
Yummy latte and chill atmosphere. Plus the bakery items were delicious!
Great place, food, and service. I highly recommend it
Lovely little cafe in the Marigny. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. I love that they have an early bird special before 10am, ha!
The coffee could be better, in my opinion, but you can always order something a bit fancier than drip. I have heard nothing but good things from friends when I have taken them.
Will definitely visit again - the crab cakes were so good!
Hands down one of the best service staff and some of the best food in town. It says a lot about the place that most of the tables are filled with locals. The catfish bene, crabcake bene, and the corn cakes are phenomenal. Come for the food and leave with a boozy coffee.
First visit for the wife and me. We loved the food and the service. Very comfortable and funky decor. Must be vaccinated to eat indoors, but outdoor seating is available and comfortable.
Craig and staff/family are incredible and it reflects in their diverse food menu and impeccable service.
A small cafe in the Marigny, recommended to us by a resident. We were so pleased by our meal and the service (so friendly and helpful.) Don't miss the Corn Cakes...to die for. We will be back.
The service was great & food was awesome! Loved the Big Gurl mimosas as well!!
This cute little place was within walking distance of where we were staying. We needed and afternoon snack and it was perfect. Kitchen closes at 3, so they have premade deli sandwiches in the fridge. We all got something different to try. Egg salad, chicken salad and a roast beef and cheddar. Each one was really good, not what you would expect from a fridge.
I love this place and it’s a great spot to run into my favorite local artists. I’m happy to do my part to keep them and my community safe by observing whatever covid protocols they require which also keeps me safe. Thanks for being such an important and welcoming meeting spot for so many.
Amazing service, great food. We decided to forgo the most popular brunch spots in NOLA because we were looking for something more quiet without a wait. Who Dat did not disappoint! The staff were all very sweet and attentive. "Mama" made us feel like family. We had the watermelon lemonade breakfast cocktail, which was very refreshing and so delicious! My fiancée ordered the corn cakes - the portion was more than generous and the dish was super flavourful. I had the St Phillip - the quiche was perfect: very light and well seasoned. The crab, shrimp and Remoulade topping was so tasty. I also ordered a raspberry white chocolate bar, which was very nice - crumbly, moist, and not overly sweet. The ice coffee was also delicious. I will definitely be visiting here again!
My daughter and I are on a road trip, New Orleans is one stop. Who Dat came highly recommended and rightfully so! Absolutely Amazing! Outstanding coffee, food, setting and moste definately fantastic staff! Reid our waiter was so great! Much thanks to all for making us feel so welcome!
Mouth-watering delicious and friendly service. Nice atmosphere as well.
coffee is really good with lots of options for flavor and the place itself is really cute and cozy. the boards are all handwritten and clearly had some time put into them, really eye catching lettering. the service leaves something to be desired. barista seemed less than thrilled to have people come in and seemed annoyed at every interaction with either me or the patron ahead of me. if you’re only there for coffee then you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic place with very very friendly staff and a chef who really cares about his food. We had the crab benny. Super yummy. The bread was some of the best I've ever had. We ate it all. Mimosas were very generous in size! Loved it! Cute place to hang. They even had bio degradable styrofoam cups for our to go Drinks.
This is a tiny neighborhood place that had amazing food. The servers were fantastic. A friend lives in New Orleans and took us here for lunch, it was worth the 30 minute walk (we should have gotten a cab!) Not in the main tourist area so it was mostly locals!
We were searching for breakfast spots when the search engine led us here. This place did not disappoint. Beautiful location tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food did not disappoint and the drink selections are bar none. Highly recommend!
I had the catfish bene' with a side of sausage for breakfast and it was very delicious.
I loved everything!!
Dear Goddesses of Orleans and visitors to Marigny neighborhood, you have been blessed with a delicious decision. Go there. Do not wait.
I regret not taking a photo of my breakfast special before my fork and knife devoured “the stack” of layers of fried green tomato, crab cake, fried green tomato, crab cake, the drenched in rich crawfish étouffée. Whatever happened to me there I do not regret it.
Coffee and pastries available and regular breakfasts that were also delicious.
The literal best sausage, egg and cheese I’ve ever had! Vibes are immaculate. Highly recommend Who Dat!
Corncakes are so good! Service was great. Highly recommend.
The St Phillip Quiche was amazing. A little over priced but, they had other breakfast specials
Love everything about this place and the people who run it!! The food is terrific, and the staff is wonderful. I also love that they are putting safety first-- EVERYONE'S safety-- and required proof of vaccination even before the City of NO required it.
Nice little corner coffee shop.
Tons of pastries, muffins etc and a real sit down menu as well. Tasty Chow 👍
Service was fast and friendly.
Super fun decor & eclectic menu for those who always need something New 😉
The breakfast here is definitely above average. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and homemade jellies were sooo good! The biscuits and omelettes are a must. Definitely recommend!
Breakfast here is wickedly delicious. The catfish bene is not to be missed and the big breakfast is also excellent. Everyone loved their food and the service is friendly and relaxed
Been here twice and both times were remarkable. The staff are outstanding and veggie burger w fruit was really good. The fruit was very fresh. ❤. Great spot for breakfast/brunch!!!
Absolutely amazing! Came here on New Years Day for the a classic New Orleans experience. Coffee cake was delicious and the Not Yo Momma’s Corn Cakes were to die for!! Quick service, cheap prices, and wonderful atmosphere.
The. Best. Breakfast. From the homemade jelly to the perfectly seasoned breakfast, if there's a wait...do yourself a favor and wait.
If you're looking for a place to brunch while in NOLA, I would make this your first stop! The food is spectacular and the folks that work there are super friendly! To be honest, you can't go wrong with any of their food options, but if you're unsure, ask your server because they know best.
I thoroughly enjoyed the corn cakes, I got the bacon on the side. I also got a chai tea and it was great as well. I would definitely go back. I forgot to take a picture of my food when it first came out, but please enjoy this half eaten picture 😂. …
Best breakfast/brunch ever!@!!! Don't snooze on this gem. The owner and the ENTIRE STAFF was overwhelming! They greeted us as family. We were very well attended to. The food is AMAZING! I love you Who Dat♡♡
Solid cold-brew & tasty eggs Benedict, served up but a friendly crew in a nice atmosphere. Sidewalk seating was shaded w/ fans that made it comfortable... even in early Sept!
Best. Omelette. Ever. The feta cheese alone is to die for! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, vaccination required for indoor dining. Perfect breakfast experience.
Great stop just ahead of a day of activities. Good coffee and food to go! Also a nice place to sit oitside!
THE FOOD WAS SMACK! Cute little coffee shop and bar. I had the bywater bené and it was absolutely delicious. I also had a chance to try some of these corn cake things off of my mother's plate and those were just as scrumptious. This place is now a must go every time I visit New Orleans. Can't wait to come back for more!
Outstanding food. Service was perfect. Learned some history of the area by the staff. Oh by the way a killer bloody Mary. This is a must place for breakfast.
Great service and delicious food! Amazing decour.
The outdoor dining is fantastic and I recommend the coffee cocktails. Excellent food and service. A great place for breakfast or brunch.
Great little neighborhood coffee shop! In a very small neighborhood with no less than four busy shops, the competition is fierce, but I believe Who Dat is the best of them all.
They have a beautiful and very solidly functional espresso machine gleaming behind the counter in a flourish of glorious brass and chrome. It also produced a good few very nice espresso drinks while I was in town last. I will critique that this shop, like so many others, seems to subscribe to that school of espresso that says that complexity and acidity win out over richness or smoothness. Maybe some day that fashion will turn. In the meanwhile, I'll just remember to get lattes and mochas at those places, and save my straight espresso for more old-fashioned joints.
Anyhow, it's not just about the coffee here anyway. The pastry selection is great, even for the Crescent City (go figure, with a nickname like that y'all have the best pastries this side of the Atlantic!). Everything fresh-baked with great, interesting ingredients, and professional-quality dough and finishing.
The inside is very nice, definitely NOLA quirky and colorful, but not so shabby and unkempt that it wears on you. In that sense it occupies a very nice middle ground between The Orange Couch on one hand, and Flora's on the other.
I haven't yet had the privilege of dining on their food menu (possibly a separate business anyhow?), but everything I've heard about it has been positive.
I will certainly be checking in here for morning provisions on my future trips down. And if all goes well and I reside there in the not too distant future, hopefully It'll be a regular stop on my way to work as well. Go there. It's good.
First time visitor today bc it was near where I was working; the cold brew was excellent! The guys working were nice, and helpful. I thought the place had a nice "vibe" and the armchairs in the back are squishy. Excited for the next time I get to go by already. The food looked good on people's tables (lol) but I didn't have any.
This has the most amazing egg / meat / biscuit sandwich ever (what an Egg McMuffin ought to be) which for me makes it stand out from other area cafes. The coffee and espresso drinks are good too. I haven't had any food besides the egg sandwich but it looks good. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.
5 stars for the food and the coffee.
3 for the service.
Laid back with a hearty breakfast menu. Portions were just right! Not too big. Not too small.
We did have to ask multiple times for things like condiments or sugar but the feel and the food makes that forgiveable.
This is such a cute cafe! I tried the coffee and I got a boozy coffee drink. Both were great. They also have a good selection of teas, and tea cocktails. The barista was friendly as well. I would definitely stop here again if I'm in the area.
They have the best crustless garden quiche you will ever eat! Who Dat is a locally owned and run business. I cannot recommend it enough
Corn cakes and biscuits and gravy....perfect! Great service and outside seating is spread out very comfortable place to enjoy a great coffee and breakfast off the tourist trap of downtown.
we love to do breakfast at this place when in NOLA. fantastic homemade jams and perfectly made omelets. the cutest waiter to take our order, H3, and make us feel welcome. we love you guys! keep up the great work making this little jewel of a place a 5 star in our travel book.
Every time I'm in New Orleans we visit Who Dat and cannot be happier or prouder that they are keeping their staff safe.
5 star food
5 star service
0/5 stars for Cindy or those like Cindy.
Wonderful corn cakes! Great coffee assortment too
Our Sunday morning standard. Great food. Great service. Always friendly and welcoming. I couldn’t imagine another place to spend our morning than who dat cafe. Craig and his staff are amazing, and the food and daily specials are great!
Service was just okay, although she said she was new, that doesnt excuse it. Good took longer than I would expect. However good was outstanding, otherwise it would have been a lower rating.
Fun local vibe! The famous corn cakes were delicious as were the drinks! Would definitely recommend.
Food lives up to the hype but the whole team seriously made our trip to new orleans. Amazing cold brews as well. Really hope to go back soon just for this place.
Love any place with Who Dat in the title.
Seriously tho. The burgers are not fresh. They are frozen burgers out the freezer. $12 bucks for a burger..... man I need that burger thick and the patty made on the spot right before cooking it. Cmon guys. Tighten up. 3 stars because of the name of the place
Who Dat Coffee and Cafe never disappoints. As always the burger was delicious...definitely one of the best around. And of course never a complaint about their service!
Fantastic all around experience, the staff was warm and friendly, service was fast and efficient, the ambience was cute and cozy, and the food was some of the best I had in New Orleans. Got the shrimp and crawfish salad with a side of fried green tomatoes. Everything was fresh and flavorful.
Good, consistent food for breakfast or lunch. While I still must rate their beignets one small schootch under their rivals, I will say it is by the narrowest of margins. But, to be fair, their rival doesn't serve anything but Beignets. If you want a full meal with these delectable doughs, this is your place!
Overly underrated!! Our favorite little spot, excellent coffee and delectable items on the menu. Service is the best. Someone recommended we stop for brunch here and I’m ever so glad we did.
Cute little place with outside and inside seating. Gaving them a 3 start because it took them an hour to bring us our food. We ordered an omelet and a basic egg, toast and potato platter. Should'nt take an hour to make that. I think that the waiter might have forgotten to put in the order.
Always great food, made special by great company. The owner, Craig, is so positive, and the staff if pleasant.
We drove over from Biloxi Mississippi, the customer service was amazing, the food was good the burger stole my heart, the coffee was the highlight for my companion, BEST HOSPITALITY IN NEW ORLEANS, I love the outdoor seating, we will definitely come back to visit soon......
They were very clean & staffed no long waits!!
I loved my experience at Who Day Cafe! I love the environment. The employees are really friendly people. The only thing I recommend is showing up a few minutes earlier than planned so you can find parking :)
Very good crab cake eggs Benedict. Love the ciabatta bread instead of English muffin base. Excellent hollandaise. Lots of tasty looking baked sweets tho we did not have the space to try this time. Great local art. Would definitely come back.
Love the people, love the atmosphere, our go to shop for tea, also a great place for breakfast and great to go bakery items and sandwiches
It was such a great experience coming here! I was in New Orleans in February and i can still remember how awesome the service was here. Paul was our server and was welcoming and sweet. The eggs Benedict was to die for. I can’t wait to come again next time I visit NOLA!
Food is always great. Comfortable atmosphere. I've been a long time regular, but they treat everyone with the same friendly personal service. I'd love it if they stayed a local secret, but they're just too good to keep secret.
The food and service here was awesome. We had the corn cakes, they were amazing.
The corn cakes are so good! They are definitely not a light breakfast, but if you are looking for something not as heavy, they have great breakfast pastries and biscuits. Their coffee is also amazing
Excellent cold brew, awesome staff and great food. I visit there frequently and never disappoints. Awesome small business and local spot
The People at the Who dat Cafe were very nice as well as knowledgeable about thngs to do in nawlins.would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere and great food.Definitely recommend the corn cakes as well as the Da Mandeville omelette. Will definitely come here again.
Everything is delicious and the entire waitstaff is extremely kind and gracious. The baked goods are delicious and if you are going to get any baked good, it must and should be the Hummingbird Cake. They don’t always have it but if they do....OMG get it.
Small, comfy, and delicious are the best ways to describe it. The service was outstanding. The food was pretty as well as delicious. Try the catfish benedict. The whiskey in my coffee was a gentle reminder that I was in the NOLA. "Who Dat" indeed!
I wanted to find some place new to eat at, so I took a chance on Who Dat Coffee Cafe. I'm glad I did! This place was small and quaint. The wait staff was super friendly. I ordered Da Crabby Bene...Crab Cakes topped with Poached Eggs (ordered mine scrambled), with Creole Hollandaise, All stacked on Grilled Ciabatta Bread served with Fresh Fruit. DELICIOUS!!!!
The corn cakes were SCRUMPTIOUS. Very filling and delicious. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and yummy coffee too! 10/10 would recommend.
One of the best dining experiences I've had in New Orleans. Very friendly service in a unique café atmosphere, with outdoor seating. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes here. The coffee is great, too (they actually know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino). Try the crabby benedict or the corn cakes. So good & so filling.
I have been going here for 3 years and I can't gush enough about this place.
The staff is always friendly and engaged and efficient. The food (omelets are my favorite) are New Orleans favs with some modern interpretations that are just wonderful (the Crawfish & Shrimp dish is insane).
Make this place a regular part of your week.
I had an omelette here with a coffee and fresh fruit. An hour later when my lady woke up, I brought her to experience it. I had a salad and Jameson he second time around.
I had to come back a few days later for a breakfast chicken fried steak. As a connoisseur of chicken fried steak I must send my compliments.
The staff of very friendly and wide eyed as this place is mostly a badass coffee shop. Food closes at 3pm.
If you find yourself awake, possibly hungover, I can’t reccomend any place else for the first meal of the day.
These is my go to place every time I come to Nola. Don’t let someone’s 1 star review for following a City mandate ( I mean really, FOR FOLLOWING THE RULES THAT YOUR BUSINESS DID NOT MAKE) even bother you. She doesn’t deserve your deliciousness💜
The food was good, but the coffee here is where it's at. They do a custom blend of a local roaster and it's some of the best coffee I've ever had. The pastry selection is also very impressive!
A bit of a walk from French Quarter but definitely worth it. Unique dishes, delishious baked goods. And when was the last time an owner/manager came to your table to see how your meal was?
Love their Wedge Salad and Veggie Burger! The bread on the Veggie Burger is so soft and delicious. Great fries too!
The breakfast food here is phenomenal. Great study spot. Full bar with knowledgeable and skilled bar tenders. Great outdoor seating. Everything I can ask for in a cafe.
Don't skip out on this quaint local spot. The menu is perfect with Vegan/Veggie options. The fresh baked goods at the bar are on point. I love love my coffee wit a lil liqueur in the morning. Lol.. You won't be sorry.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was very good and just the right amount. Prices are good value. Loved it so much the first time went back a couple of days later. Will visit again when in town.
Nice little local place, great food, great staff
I don't live in Louisiana anymore, but when I'm visiting family in Ponchatoula, I make an effort to get down to New Orleans to visit this place. They have great pastries, great coffee, and a really good menu for regular meals. The corn cakes are spectacular.
Found this little gem in the Marigny district. Food delicious and staff were great. Many thanks to Craig and his staff- a definite plus to our weekend visit!
OMG!!! This place has the best deserts I've had and I've traveled to Europe, Latin America and all over the US. Not only are they beautiful the flavors are amazing. Best macaroons and amazing gelato. Too full to try the white chocolate lavender, next time.
It's a fact... Who Dat is a Da best Dat!
Very friendly and customer oriented!
Will make you feel welcome (not a nuisance like some places). No "attitudes".
Various delicious coffees (plus other drinks of course) and they can even throw a little whiskey (or your fav) into the mix, since they also serve more "adult" beverages.
That said, you have to try a meal.. their food is fantastic. They have some house recepies and typical fare that will make you want to come back over and over again!
In sum, it's great at many levels.
Wonderful food, atmosphere and servers!!!
Very cool place, great food and service!
I had the early bird breakfast. It was basic, but just what I wanted. The grits were gritty like I like them. The chocolate chip cookie is good; dry cookie and big chunks of chocolate!!
Stopped for breakfast twice on our stay. Great biscuit and homeade jelly. Good choices for build your own omelets. Tasty Bloody Marys and good coffee.
I'm picky about the price of food at places and I typically find coffee shops over charge food for the amount you get. However, I found Who Dat Coffee Cafe gave a reasonable amount for the price. Along with free refills of coffee, I thought the chicken fried steak I had to be awesome and satisfying.
Ok! Wow! Umm...yes please can I have some more! So glad this delicious place is back open serving food Friday through Monday and coffee the other days.
So delicious! As a new person to the neighborhood I look forward to eating my way through the menu!!!
Nom nom nom
Order: Cappuccino
Price: Free (normally $3)
Pros: Friendly staff, HUGE sizes
Cons: Not the best coffee ever but pretty good cappuccino
Thoughts: We met up with some friends here to chat for a while during out trip and it turned out to be an awesome place to do that. Who Dat Cafe sits on a street corner and while they have plenty of indoor seating, they also have a ton of outdoor seating around umbrella covers tables that remind me so much of the cafe’s you’ll find in Europe.
We had ordered a cappuccino right as we walked in but shortly after that the barista let us know that the machine was acting up and it could take a while. It ended up taking almost 15 minutes and so the drink was on the house for the day. It was also freakin huge…this wasn’t a cup of coffee, it was a bowl of coffee. Interestingly it wasn’t watered down with milk as expected, meaning they definitely put plenty of espresso in the drink to keep the strong coffee flavor despite serving such a large amount.
Who Dat was a great place to sit and meet with new people; the seating was fantastic, and even though it took them a while to get the coffee out, it was still an enjoyable experience.
Great spot to grab breakfast and a coffee. The menu isn’t anything wild but they do classic well!
Ate there this morning, the chicken fried steak was delicious, as was the coffee. The service was amazing, Sarah was very helpful in choosing a menu items. Would recommend to anyone.
I usually just get coffee and hang out. Foods never been life changing but it's fine. Very small indoor with comfy chairs not really suited for eating. Outside is suited for dining though.
Best corncakes, and biscuit & gravy breakfast in Nola ❤️
I've been coming here since they first opened as a small neighborhood coffee shop. The owner has done an amazing job managing and expanding the business. Always first stop when I go back and visit.
I love this place. I’ve been several times. It’s a great spot to go for brunch with a small group, like 3 or 4 people. The service is super as is the quality and flavors of the food.
fantastic spot for coffee and a snack. Bonus points for being so fabulous in their Covid19/Delta response; I will always return to places that keep my safety-and the safety of their staff- a priority.
Honey please whatever you do don't pass this place by. The staff the cook, the food omg. I've been dreaming about this place since i left a year ago lol!! During my visit i had to eat here twice back to back!! Everything was great and ao flavorful I'm ready for more!! The best place i ever been!!
Delicious food and friendly service! Appreciate all of the safety measures they have put in place. Try the bloodies and the m I'll mimosas! 💜🍹
A must go. Food was yummy, Service exceptional. If visiting the city, hop on the bus and make your way over to this gem. I'm glad we went.
My wife and I were stranded in NOLA for a day and this coffee shop was right down the street from our hotel. The ambiance is really cool and has a great indie coffee shop vibe. The barista was friendly and helpful. I reserve one star for the cappuccino I ordered. I'm beginning to think it's a southern thing, but the foam I've been getting on my caps has been really thick and bubbly; not the microfoam you tend to see in specialty shops. It tends to really separate the milk from the foam. All in all a pretty cool place to take a load off and recharge.
I just sat outside with a dear friend and had the most delicious brunch. Lovely place, lovely staff and food that can't be beat. Highly recommended!
Delicious corn cake. Lovely cafe
Everyone else was raving over their food, I guess I ordered the dud. Cajun scramble was meh and for $15 I was expecting some flavor. The Crabbie Benedict looked good. Next time
Soooooo good. A must stop if you're in the area.
This cafe is a gem. The stuff is super friendly and welcoming, food cheap and delicious. Went there yesterday morning for breakfast and it made my day. Definitely coming back soon
This is a perfect little gem in the Marigny. The food is incredible, wide variety on the menu and good portion sizes. We loved how everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming. We can not recommend this Cafe highly enough!!
Cruising around Easter Sunday looking for a breakfast spot and found this place. Food was ok, but sitting outside in the spring sun was great.
We had the blueberry French toast and not your mama's corn cakesthey were very good both items and french press coffee was very well done. Service was great as well.
My favorite coffee shop in Nola. I go here all the time for the delicious pre made biscuits and an iced coffee. Fast and delicious served up by happy friendly and efficient employees. This place has it all!
Great breakfast & coffee!
Who Dat Coffee Cafe is a place for locals to meet and engage in conversation. The food is great and uniquely New Orleans. There is also a taste of the south with biscuits and corn cakes and chicken fried steak. The baristas learn your name and I see them learn what people who eating. Now you can't get there late for food out of the kitchen only open from 8 to 3 - the kitchen that is. But there are usually plenty of pastries and amazing sandwiches in the cooler to go or enjoy with fresh coffee and cocktails until closing at 10. (No - I'm not the owner - I'm practicing my writing skills. This one is not that great - but it'll get better) Bottomline Who Dat Cafe is a great place for good food, good people and good New Orleans.
Great food, friendly service. Loved it!
Yum yum yum! Enjoyed breakfast here, it was a block from our hotel, and such a lovely place to be.
First time at this restaurant. Everything was great, from staff to food! Will go back!😋
I rarely write reviews. Best coffee shop food in NOLA. Great vibe and friendly place to get some work done. The Manville Omelette is amazing due to the phenomenal homemade remoulade sauce.
Shrimp didn’t feel the freshest. Decor is pretty tacky for such a vibrant neighborhood.
I will say this seems like a queer space and I loved that about it for sure.
Absolutely EXCELLENT! Best corner cafe in the city, and they make a mean Bloody Mary too! Love the staff and the location❤
Food Was Great , Highly Recommended it’s better to make reservations first to avoid wait time , customer service was great definitely will be back on my next girls trip
Absolutely love this place! The restaurant has that adorable NOLA quirk, the food is so delicious, and the staff is really friendly! As a local, this is one of my favorite places in our city!
Friendly and diverse staff with an excellent breakfast selection. Their corn cakes are to die for. Highly recommend.
Who Dat is a perfect example of a great Local, Neighborhood Stop. Caring ownership, friendly and attentive staff, great food and positive community interactions and support.
Kind of place we need more of. 👍😁👍
Great place with a laid back crowd, a Parisian, shaded, outside setting with an integrated atmosphere. Terrific selection of coffees whose tempers and textures wrought divine, pastries are crazy good and the hostess is a cutie pie.
Loved the art on the walls. Staff is friendly. Most importantly the food was good. Wait staff is attentive. Cooks know what they are doing. I will definately go back.
King cake colored cinnamon rolls? Rolling thunder hear my love!
We had pre made sandwiches, which were good. Coffee is good. Atmosphere isn't quite our scene, but its a cool spot.
Delicious omelet. It was super filling!
Very good cafe. Pastries and bites, with restaurant seating in back, outdoor seating as well. Very friendly employees, just a great little place to go, especially if you had a late night beforehand!
Family owned and operated,by an amazing family, this place has the best southern style dishes until 3 P.M. and is a great place to stop for an Irish Monk (Really good coffee with jameson and other treats) until 9.P.M.
Amazing food and cozy atmosphere
Great local place! Loved when I lived a block away and worth the little drive now. Love love love that they promoted community safety before it was required.
Nate was so awesome! He walked my friends and I through the menu and gave the best advice for food and places to go. 10 out of 10 would go again and recommend!
Nice little spot for some breakfast! Good prices and nice friendly staff. Would definitely go back again.
I didn’t realized Who Dat is a term that is used to refer to New Orleans’s football team Saints fans until I came to this restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The “dirty” items on the menu means that it has liquor in it, like the Dirty Chai Tea. The biscuit and gravy was pretty good. The gravy was savory and the biscuits were fluffy. You can get a side of them for $4. A small chai tea is $4. The $12 Not Yo Mama’s Cornbread lived up to its hype. The corn bread was covered in gravy, cheese, corn, bacon and green onions.
Delicious food!! I've never been disappointed here. The space is cozy and charming and the staff are the sweetest!! 10 gold stars.
This place is a must for breakfast! We had the Maw Maw’s Breakfast quiche and the special which was a stack of fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, smothered in crawfish étouffée topped with crab meat... oh my oh my oh my. I want to go back already
great food! not too expensive and great service!
Great little coffee shop. I go there once a month with a group and have a meet up. The barista is pretty awesome and the coffee is great too. Lots of selections of hot and cold coffee, tea, pastries, and booze.
Really good strong coffee and good food menu. Very friendly and welcoming staff, they make you feel at home. The owner is there every day talking to everyone
After dealing with the frustrations of long waits broken espresso machines and bonehead Baristas this Cafe is like a beacon from Heaven breaking through the Cloudy Sky of New Orleans. If you like a latte a done right don't bother going to PJs or CiCi's the only real Baristas I found so far in New Orleans are at the who dat Cafe...oh yeah and the food is great too ! Service is warm and friendly, delicious biscuits, homemade jams and jellies, any kind of cocktail you want. Mellow atmosphere, witj the right acoustics for having a conversation, you know, not all echoey and loud like some places. If you want to wait 2 hours to get a table and then be told that the espresso machine is busted, go to ruby slippers. If you're a coffee Nerd Like Me and a freak for microfoam and a latte done right, The Who Dat Cafe is for you. As a matter of fact on my next trip to NOLA I'm going to try to find accommodations near this Cafe so I can just roll out of bed and get my latte and have a chat with the folks there.
So happy we found this place! The food and coffee is amazing!!! Service is fantastic and everyone is so nice. We will definitely be back!
Awesome and friendly place! Love coming here to eat every chance i get!!!! Great food and awesome friendly staff!!!
REALLY good cafe au lait and the breakfasts dishes we had were very good (Crab Benny, corn cakes, strawberry pancakes. Omelet just ok. Vintage interior, friendly staff. Out of the way if you’re in the quarter but if you’re near Marigny it’s worth the trip..
My order took forever (waiter was incredibly apologetic) but the food and the coffee especially was great. Good way to start off the morning.
Used to be (this is before Katrina hit town) the most hilarious gossipy kaffe klatch going on. The second time I walked over there from my place on North Rampart, there was an elaborate story being told. After I finished my coffee and muffin, I got up to leave. One of the guys said "Girl, you can't leave now this is some good gossip going down." I was hooked from that day on. When my car was stolen, one of the gay guys said, "don't worry honey, when our truck was stolen it was returned cleaner than it had been in years." Great food and always a good laugh!
Cute little quaint place close to hotel Peter and Paul! Very good food.
Great hostess, food and service.
The BEST Brunch! I love the outdoor seating! The Veggie Omelet was AWESOME 😋
Delicious food , quick service
There's just too much politics in our world.
The best coffee shop in the neighborhood! Helpful, friendly and tons of selection for drinks & snacks! Walk a bit further past the other place for better products & service, highly recommend!

Fantastic local food with a friendly, neighborhood vibe. All the breakfast patrons know each other and but vegetables from the tubing vegetables cart. Great cortado and biscuits.
Hidden gem! Loved this place for delicious fresh food. Boozy coffee a must try! So glad I found this place while here.
Who dat is great. The workers always make you feel like family. It just a great place to be. You will always feel welcome and the food is off the chain.
Best corn cakes ever! Staff was incredible. Such a beautiful place to enjoy the beginning of the day.
Stellar service and Brandon rocks. Leave minimal 50% tips because COVID and the hurricane have hurt the fine pillars of the community
Amazing breakfast!
Some of the best breakfast food I have had in New Orleans. The staff is friendly and service was fast! Will be back again!
Delightful and friendly neighborhood breakfast and coffee place, with to-go coffee as well.

Quaint cafe. Love the wooden tables, though they're a bit small if you're coming to study with a friend. Incredible tea selection, and its great they serve alcohol as well.
