Tried this place out after Luke's was too full. It's right across the street so it was an easy win. The food was creative, modern and delicious. We ordered the charbroil oysters which were to die for! Then had the blackened Mahi with vegetables stir fry and potatoes with a leek sauce, SO yummy! Great selection for drinks- beer, wine, cocktails. The ambiance was pretty. The two cons that lowered my review was the whole place was oddly smokey, like walk in and think kitchen fire, and the hostess didn't say anything about it. Not sure if something did get burnt but I think saying something is better than not, to acknowledge that it's a little more than usual. And our particular server was meh. Barely attending to us so we had to say for things (i.e. silverware) from other staff, which worked. I know it was likely a busy/off night for service but that won't stop me from recommending this place because the food was amazing!

Great hotel restaurant in the Intercontinental on St. Charles. Entree gumbo was very tasty but lacked rice and came in a very large bowl. It was a lot of soup. Although I did bring it back and eat it the next day. Cocktails were great! Service was Excellent.

My first experience at Trenasse was for dinner one week night. It was work related. I say that because I may not be willing to pay their prices myself, lol. That being said, as long as you understand that going in, you can really have a nice meal here. The food was good, the service was great. It is a very nice place to enjoy a fancy meal.

Brain was a pure delight. His level of service is rare these days. The food was amazing, I would highly recommend this establishment while visiting the area. Make sure to ask for Brian. He said he prepared my birthday desert himself.. not sure if I’m believing that lol but never the less he did provide me a candle for a wish. I normally don’t rave this much about a restaurant… However, I had to add to this review we returned for Thanksgiving Dinner had the pleasure of having Allison and spoke with Greg the manager. Another wonderful experience.. I wish this team great success. Keep up the good work.

The food was great! The garlic butter char grilled oysters were amazing. They had freaky thick fries but the seasoning made it super tasty. You must try the blue crab bisque! It was delicious!

Amazing!! Didn’t get pics of everything but everything was great! The raw oysters were big and tasty, the shrimp and crab bienville oysters were also big and delicious. The taste of Trenasse entree was EVERYTHING! It was a little bit of everything on the plate and it was all good and seasoned well. Then, the bread pudding *french kiss* I loved it all. Ambience was beautiful! Will definitely be back!

Went for their happy hour from 3-6pm. Their oysters are 6 for 7 and are large and meaty (better than Luke’s happy hour oysters at a more reasonable price). The bbq shrimp is also very good! Service is great! Wish we found this place earlier. If you’re on waitlist at Luke just walk across the street to here - it’s just as good!

I cannot describe how happy I was about the food. It was my first time to try these dishes and I was lucky enough to try them here. All of them were so delicious. The service and place were so good

Came here for happy hour just before it was about to end. Sat by the bar and ordered everything in the HH menu (small plates). By far the best were the Oysters! So big and fresh. My next top fave were the popcorn fish and boudin bites. The shrimp was eh. It had a weird flavor. The service was friendly and efficient.
