My first time dining at Station 6 was a wonderful experience. We celebrated my husband's birthday. We enjoyed everything so much that we returned 2 days later for more. There was 5 different types of fish to choose from on the menu. The place was quaint and the atmosphere was welcoming! We will definitely visit again. No reservations necessary so arrive early.

We were very pleasantly surprised by Station 6. It has a relaxed, non-pretentious atmosphere where you can dress up or down. The food tasted as good as it looked, with service to match. There were seats available inside and on the patio when we arrived around 5:15, but there appeared to be a short wait by the time we left (maybe 6 or 6:15). If you're debating whether to order dessert, just do it.

The oysters were delicious. My date got a shrimp salad that was way better than I thought it was going to be. We sat outside and the weather was perfect, additionally there’s covered seating with fans to keep the temperature down. I got the salmon tacos. I was actually very impressed with the portions, it was basically two whole salmon fillets in each taco. I couldn’t even finish it. Wait staff was prompt and friendly but not in your face or rushing. Overall would certainly recommend for food and experience.

5 ⭐️ - a hidden gem If you are looking for a place outside of bourbon street, this is a definite must! Everything was pretty darn solid and service is awesome. It will be difficult to pick a favorite as they were all awesome. Save some room for dessert…the doughnut bread pudding is the 💣!

A must if you’re visiting Nola or just a local looking for a new place to try out! Great atmosphere and very delicious food!! Below are items we tried out: crawfish spinach dip, sizzling garlic shrimp, triple tail entree, and even the wildkat fish & chips were good that the kids enjoyed it!

Always a delicious meal. We've been going here for years. The menu changes every so often, but it's always incredibly delicious. We the crawfish spinach dip, drum, softshell crab special, and seasonal cobbler. Hot damn the drum and softshell crab were mind blowing.

My parents raved about this place and took us out for a quick meal. Very much enjoyed the experience! We all ordered their special which was fish and grits with bbq shrimp, and we all enjoyed it. The service was great, and our server was very friendly and attentive. They were accommodating even though we finished after they were closed. One small thing to keep in mind, they won’t seat you until the entire party has arrived. Definitely recommend giving it a try!

Too crowded not too long wait friendly staff good service though i dont recommend The inside couch is small , the seats are not comfortable , the chicken sandwich is regular . The food is good the shrimp appetizer is good the tuna tartar , Grilled fish , spinach dip good , the fried shrimp normal

We had lunch on the patio on a beautiful Spring day. Our server, James, was welcoming and friendly, and provided great service. The food was prepared and presented beautifully, and tasted amazing. I look forward to visiting again, hopefully for dinner.

From start to finish, everything at Station 6 was amazing. First, there is ample outdoor seating which is perfectly spaced out from other tables. All the staff wore masks. We started by ordering drinks and an appetizer, the sizzling garlic shrimp was delectable, the only problem was it came with 5 shrimp so my partner and I had to fight over the last one given just how incredible it tasted. Both our entrees were superb. I had the season Haitian dish. On my dish the sweet plantains were either under cooked or under ripe because they were not sweet and still too firm. Other than that, the dish was dynamic. My partner had the Red Fish with crab meat and he devoured it. Finally, dessert was okay, we had the seasonable cobbler and it was more a crumble than a cobbler but still good. On the whole, I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to return.

The food and service was beyond amazing! The staff, from the hosts to the servers make for such a great experience because of their upbeat and welcoming personalities. I came in specifically for the Crab on Crab special and when I say it gave me everything I expected and more! The whole dish with the veggies and potatoes were all seasoned to perfection. Dawn, the FABULOUS General Manager checked in to make sure everything was alright and suggested the Blueberry Margarita and i was beyond impressed!! I look forward to returning

The food and service was wonderful tonight .We selected Seared Pampano, Grilled Salmon Tacos and finished with Delicious Bread pudding, a great dining experience I would recommend highly. Halley our waitress,made the the evening enjoyable, Vanessa and Dawn the managers on tonight checked in to make sure everything was alright, Bravo to the Station 6 Team! We will return. Lynn and Karon 10/25/22. I did return. The wait staff needs serious training, I would rate 3 star service. The Food is still excellent, however for the price and restaurant, tonight’s experience was a 3 star experience. 1. I saw on the website that they have a happy hour, nope that’s not true, no sorry. 2 Ordered Kale salad, after the order came back we have no kale , so no salad with dinner 3. Brought wrong food to our table ? Ordered dessert with coffee and cream waiter asked if I wanted Sugar I said No thanks. Brought dessert no coffee, then coffee came with sugar. I shared , the place needs serious training. Not the same memory I had before. Wouldn’t recommend at this time. Don’t bait and switch with your happy hour I was looking forward to a great experience, not the case tonight.

I finally made it here and what a beautiful early evening it was. The temperature wasn’t too muggy, you know how our NOLA summers are… a soft wind cascading off the water… and we were nestled beneath the outdoor patio… it was the beginning of a nice night. That sounded like the start of a novel huh??? Lol… duh, I am a writer you know… Anywho… Even with the popularity of this restaurant, as it is fairly new to the area, we were able to walk right in and get a seat in the covered outdoor patio area and begin dining. Our server came by & presented us with menus and filtered water from a glass bottle that would remain on our table. This was a plus for me because I like filtered water, tap-water ehhhhh not so much, bottled water, hello let’s save the environment… But filtered water is right on the money. Thankfully the menu is fairly simple. One side is artwork, looks like a collage of pictures. On the other side are your food choices. He also presented us with a drink menu and to be noted, that one was two-sided, hello… Grilled salmon tacos for me and for my dining companion a scrumptious looking seafood salad. I also opted to top the night off with an adult beverage called an Old Fashioned. The grilled salmon tacos were quite tasty. There was a taco to fish ratio that kept my mouth pleased and happy. The corn and beans on top with the avocado were all too delightful. Sadly enough I only got two tacos, but I guess the portion size was right; I can only imagine if I had had a third one, I would’ve been gluttonous and eaten it there or doggy bagged and taken it home. The Old Fashioned got me on my level. It was powerful. I only needed one, shout out to the bartender. My dining companion advised that her salad was tasty as well. It looked quite delicious, but honestly the lett to seafood ratio was a little underwhelming to me, but I’m sure it tasted great. Loved the ambience. All modern & casual, yet elegant at the same time. Due to Covid, I had my apprehensions about going inside, so this outdoor patio situation was perfect. I found the waitstaff service to be excellent, very attentive and casual at the same time, not all stuffy like some of those hoity-toity restaurants. The food was good, as I perused the menu, I found the pricing to be more than I expected. A little bit more than the market average but hey that may be due to Covid and companies trying to hedge the bet to turn a profit. Ample parking. Old Hammond Highway is busy, so be careful. Excellent spot if you crave some delicious seafood. Station 6 is somewhat off the beaten path, but we'll worth going out to that part of town for. It's surrounded by some other restaurants that somewhat pale in comparison. We had a great softshell crab with crayfish and a delicious red snapper, accompanied by a fine wine and a very friendly and helpful bartender, who was able to convince us to end the meal with a bread pudding. This was especially impressive, since we hardly ever get desert nor bread pudding, but we enjoyed it very much.

Service was friendly and on point. Food was so tasty and outstanding, though fries were a bit salty. This is my husband's favorite place for soft shell crab...crab on crab! Menu is geared towards an older pallette. Drinks feel smaller but strong, so even better. We sat outside. Great weather and music in the air. It's popular for a reason!

It was Jan 25th in Nola and we sat on the heated patio. They still got 5 stars. Pimm's- wonderful, Tuna crackers- yum Pinot-perfect perfect and the pompano was amazing everyone from the hostess to the server to the support staff fantastic. Treat yourself and go

The food at Station 6 was incredible, and the service was great. They don’t take reservations, but we easily found seating and ordered some incredible drinks. Their specials were so good we just had to try them, and we enjoyed an enormous piece of cake for dessert.

I had the oyster BLT which was good but a lot of bread not French bread. Feee ice tea refills. GREAT fries. Good prices. Service was reasonably fast and friendly. Plenty of parking out front and covered outside seating. Great lunch.

This is an excellent restaurant to grab some seafood hidden away from all the high-traffic areas in the heart of New Orleans. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating, as well as a bar. The menu has plenty of attractive appetizers and entrees centered around seafood that you can expect to be extremely fresh. They don't do anything over-the-top. They instead focus on complex and unique flavors to elevate their dishes. I was very impressed by the flavor of their pompano dish with brown butter and cashews. I'd be more than willing to go back and explore more of the menu at Station 6 and you should do the same!

Our server Hayley was awesome, the food was amazing, and we didn’t feel rushed. A lovely place to catch up with friends over a fantastic meal. We had the gnocchi with lump crabmeat, blackened black drum, the lamb burger… I was tempted by the bread pudding but I was absolutely stuffed. Oh well! Next time.

The food is excellent as is the service. The noise level is not acceptable. There were four women at the table next to us. We could not hear the specials when the service was at our table. This person’s loud laugh made our meal less enjoyable. We could not have a conversation. There was a man at the bar, he kept on looking over at this table. A person came and asked how everything was. I told her one table was very loud. I asked if they said anything to tables that disturbed many others. Response - it usually has no impact. You might try something new. This person acknowledged their conversation was very loud. Are you going to offend many people since one person does not know how to act in a restaurant. I do love Station 6 but suggest go to another restaurant if you cannot sit outside.

Amazing Service and fantastic food. Ask for the soft shell crab it's not in the menu but it is a special. The staff are absolutely fantastic. The oysters are fresh and very good. A gem in NOLA.

Conveniently located close to my home near bucktown. The food is always delicious; and the service is exceptional and friendly. I try to pick something new each time I visit and it does not disappoint. Last time I went, I enjoyed a nice late lunch (bucktown reuben) under the patio with a refreshing draft beer. Great atmosphere!

Food was good (could have use a little more salt, but I'm m one of those people that probably over season food). I liked how it's elevated lakefront seafood (as opposed to the standard fried everything). My main gripe is the exceptionally high noise level. Any kind of sound attenuation would help tremendously.

Visiting home from out of town and so glad we got a chance to eat here. The Pecan crusted trout was fantastic and just what I needed!!! My wife had the Blackened Drum and said it was very good although a bit spicy. If the opportunity comes again I’d definitely stop for a great meal.

The food was incredible! I got the blackened gulf fish with Brabant potatoes and my husband got the speckled trout special with lump crab meat. The crawfish spinach dip was delicious. I believe in 2nd chances and went back for dinner. This time the service matched the food quality and taste. Our server and manager/greeter were phenomenal. My guest and I felt valued and appreciated. My most recent experience earned 5stars. First Experience 2 Stars: Manager/Greeter: initially she was very unwelcoming. I understand her desire to be firm with her procedures (all guest must be present to be placed on table list) however it is possible to make your guest feel welcomed and valued with a smile and non-condescending tone. When my party of four was getting ready to leave she did come out to say thank you with a beautiful smile. Server: initially he was amazing, however as the night went on we were not his table of choice. Requested additional simple syrup for my drink- never received it. Requested a side of white rice- never received it. He rarely came back to our table to get a pulse or provide an update to on my request. What made it so disappointing is I watched him go back and forth to two tables inside the restaurant and a third one on the patio where we were sitting. None of those other tables had to beck for his attention-he serviced them properly. There were distinctive differences between the tables that he may have favored them over us. Food: price, portion and taste amazing. I had blackened puppy drum & shrimp with green beans. My plate was empty. The only thing that would have made it better would have been some mashed potatoes (on the menu but could only be served with the special). I want to return for the food but the service is giving me second thoughts.

We arrived shortly before their closing time and they were so kind to seat us. I had the grilled drum fish. Excellent flavor! My friend had seafood gumbo and said it was excellent. My other friend had the grilled drum fish and loved it as well. The highlight was the butterscotch bread pudding! literally worth the drive to just eat the bread pudding. Did I say it was the best? It was the best!

I would have given a 5 star review for this place if it weren't for the overcooked chicken sandwich that my friend got. The wait was longer than usual but we understood because they were super busy. Normally my friend would have politely sent it back but we were so hungry by the time the food arrived, he decided to go ahead and eat it. It was clearly overcooked and the cook should have never sent that out but the waiter should also inspect the orders before bringing them out. All that being said, they were very apologetic and gave my friend a dessert on the house (which was excellent as was the rest of the food). Bottom line, I would still highly recommend this place. The food is great and the service is too.

Our Airbnb host recommended this spot on our first night. Needless to say it was amazing. Seated outside, respectful of social distancing guidelines at the time (thus was spring 2021). Fantastic drinks.. The oysters and special of the day were easily the best food we had the entire trip, and unfortunately we compared every meal for the rest of the week to that one. It is a must for me when we return to New Orleans

This neighborhood restaurant in Metairie never disappoints. It's amazing everytime we eat there. It could stand up to any "fancy/expensive" restaurant anywhere. Last night we started with their version of tuna Poke. It's called Tuna Crackers. Amazing!! The flavor bombs from the jicama/jalapeno salad, tuna tartar, avocado and soy sauce. You scoop it all up with these homemade tortilla chips. Wow! We also enjoyed the Seared pompano with roasted cashews. Such a light/delicate dish with the crunchiness of the cashews. Our favorite was the nightly special of Speckled Trout on a bed of bourbon mashed sweet potatoes. It was their version of Trout Almondine. So tastefully and complemented perfectly with the sweet potato mash, which was the "best thing you've ever eaten" with fish! Oh my gosh! The sweet bourbon added just the right amount of flavor to the sweet potatoes. Paired with the trout...amazing! Service here is always professional, prompt and great! Love this hidden, off the beaten path, neighborhood gen! Oh, lastly, don't forget to try the bread pudding for dessert. Their version of it is so so good!

Honestly the happiest I've been with a restaurant meal in a long time. We had the Charbroiled Redfish with Green Beans, the fried Trout special with cheesey grits. Opted for a extra side of the brabants and an appetizer of crawfish and spinach dip. Everything, literally everything, was incredibly delicious. Service was equally high quality. I mean WOW! That chocolate cake had me writing poems about how delicious it is! And don’t even get me started on the size of the jumbo lump crab pieces!!!!!! The chef and staff exceeded all my culinary expectations. I was so full after a tantalizing tuna cracker appetizer and delectable crab on crab entree! I couldn’t eat one more bite until the scrumptious, mouth watering dobage cake came out. It’s as if the blissful marriage of chocolate ganache and peanut butter mouse cured me of any ailments I’ve ever experienced including my tummy being full to the brim of delicious food! All I can say is this staff knows what they are doing in the kitchen!! 100/10 recommend.

Dude! This was my best dining experience probably EVER. Vanessa, the angel that she is, was aware I had some minor social anxiety and found me a cute little secluded table by the flowers outside. Even though I had said I was so perfectly fine ordering to go, she made sure I had the same experience as everyone around me. My waitress was the sweetest and cutest blonde gal (shame on me for not remembering her name). The cocktail was AMAZING, the food was incredible. Turns out I’m not a soft shell crab person but in no way was that due to them. I can’t wait to go back, I loved every moment. I can’t thank them enough for the hospitality 🥰

Service was great, outside seating was awesome and the food was genuinely incredible. I'm not blown away as much anymore that I go out so much more often now, but I have to say that everything we got was good. From the drinks and apps to the entrees and delicious dessert. Highly recommend either the bread pudding or chocolate/peanut butter cake, which at least for the cake, can be shared by more than one person!!!

Food and service was great. No hassle about switching sides or taking items on or off. Everything comes out hot and fresh. Special items on menu aren't listed if you Google the menu. Buttermilk drop bread pudding was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is a rum sauce available to substitute the butterscotch sauce.

My wife and I went for Valentines day and overall this place is great and service is awesome. I went with the pompano and it was good except a little rubbery. I think I just don't like pompano. My wife ordered the lobster gnocchi special which was spectacular and I just wanted more! All in all, if your looking for a great laid back experience with a lot of fish options, Station 6 is the place to go. We will definitely be back and will probably get the specials!

Excellent service great food.. Serious portions and the desserts were amazing. The seating area was nice and spacious.. The restaurant even took special care to make sure they had outside heaters during a rate cold spell in New Orleans. Station 6 is one of my favorite local restaurants. It's specialties are probably the seafood. I usually get a fish dish. There's a nice feel to the restaurant with good outdoor seating. It's on the fancy side but kids still feel welcome there. No reservations taken I'm pretty sure. The cocktails are done well. Come early and have a drink in the side patio if there weather is nice. Heaters available when it's cold.

I am walking distance from this place so I go pretty often and I have always had a great time. I started sitting at the bar to watch sports but end up sitting there every time now because the bartenders are always fun and chatty and offer great insight on the menu items. I try new things every time and have never been disappointed. Even the french fries in the fish and chips app were amazing. French fries. No lie. And the cocktail menu is a nice touch. Everything is always super fresh and the staff is crazy friendly. The guy who shucks oysters at the bar is great and seems to really enjoy working there. Highly recommend.

Went here to discuss my end of year biz recap.... great oysters champagne and service. Enjoyed the outdoor ambience... inside was too small for me. They handled my #allergies like a pro. I have #celia so not #gluten or #dairy for me. My CFO had the buttermilk drop bread pudding and said it was unfathomable good..... I will never know. Small menu but well diversified. The food was very good. I would have to give it a 3 overall, though, because it is very loud and very small. That alone wouldn't be so bad, but there is no place to wait for a table (and there's always a wait because of the size) except outside (which you can't do in the rain, heat, or cold) or at the bar (which they won't let you do unless everyone in your party is over 21). We were made to stand in the aisle next to people eating and had to constantly jostle this way and that to avoid waiters. Not one place to sit or even stand while we waited for our table. Once we were sat, we discovered that experience from the standpoint of the people eating...people standing over you watching you eat and bumping your chair or your head with their rear end as they too moved to avoid busy waiters. It wasn't as unpleasant as it sounds. People got it...it is a small place. Everyone was super nice (customers and staff). Still, not my favorite dining experience and it is a shame because, as I said, the food was very good.

After trying probably 50% of the menu i just cant say enough fantastic things about this place. The quality of the seafood is incredible and the dishes are inspired and delicious. The only complaint is that some of the sauces are a bit heavy handed and rich but its a sacrifice for the exceptional taste. Try the buttermilk drop bread pudding, i dont even like bread pudding but this is something straight from heaven

Went there for a dinner- that's our second time here. We arrived a little late ( around 8:15pm) our waiter was ready to go so we felt rushed, even though they don't close for another hour. We had both of the salads and the one with goat cheese and almond is amazing. Each had a glass of wine( the rose was good).We had the fish with toasted peanuts and this time was a little too greasy ( previous time was really amazing) and the crawfish dish which was ok. With concrete floors and a small indoor dining area, it gets somewhat loud, but, doable for us with a party of six. Large amount of seating outdoors, weather permitting. All were good my favorite was the roast beef. Portions are fairly big. Hostess was awesome! Service was alright... as a server myself, it seemed all of the other servers were more friendly and cheerful than the lady we got but she wasnt really bad... did forget the extra lemons and ice for my mothers tea which i requested again on our refills with no acknowledgement of the mistake. I still feel this place deserves 5 stars overall... won't leave less because one mediocre server who would get 3ish.

Oysters are delicious. This place is a little on the small side and the ambiance tends trendier. But the food was absolutely divine. We had the oysters, mamere crabmeat casserole, and the spinach dip to start out with and my only complaint was I wished they should have been bigger, however, the oysters are enormous. I had the bowl of seafood gumbo which was fragrant and delicious, and a wonderful combination of flavors. I would recommend this for family get togethers, meeting up with friends, or a fun date.
