Reviews of Stanley of New Orleans
Brian Cofone
This is our only 5 star rating in the quarter! Excepting covid we've been coming to the quarter twice a year for some time, and this is the place to go. Ground zero convenience and Tonya one of the owners is a peach. Historically the wait staff can vary in enthusiasm but never had a really bad one, and this time she was amazing, and when we went back a couple days later we had her again by fortunate coincidence so it was 5 stars all over again. This time was once breakfast and once lunch, and we have NEVER had bad food here just the opposite it ALWAYS lives up to our expectations. They deserve our loyalty! Vote with your feet, reward the honest hard working players!

This place is great, you can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu. We had the bananas foster french toast, Breaux Bridge Benedict, the Stanley Classic (the grits are Amazing) and the Eggs Stanley with french bread. If you go on weekends, there will be a wait but its worth the wait. Go and enjoy, so good.

This place was very nice. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. It was pretty busy when I was there, but the food still came in a reasonable amount of time. I had the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was very good! This is a nice place to stop for lunch while walking around Jackson Square.

Another great experience at Stanley! Beautiful spot right on Jackson Square facing Cathedral. Highly recommend the Bloody Mary! Also the Benedict po'boy and the Reuben. Onion rings yum. Service was surprisingly great & friendly, especially when they are short-staffed (like everywhere!), and very busy. Two thumbs up!
Negretta T
Food was great. The banana French Toast with ice cream on top was tasty with a side order of scrambled eggs. The Bayou Rum Punch is a must try. Great service and in a nice location.
Jennie Johnson
For being in such a bustling part of the French quarter this place was friendly and the food was delicious. They were jamming busy but are right in Jackson square so as to be expected. I sat at the bar and the severs were attentive. These were by far the best grits I’ve had anywhere in the south. Kind of pricey for breakfast but reasonable considering the location. They had a very long wait so I’d put your name in advance and plan on walking around for a bit.
Dominique S
Today, I had the crab cakes eggs Benedict with frog legs. The crab cake dish was pretty good but the frog legs had little to no flavor. Beyond that, service was kind of slow. The food came out quickly but our server barely checked on us.
Christina Hernandez
Pretty good, my fiance loved their fried oyster Benedict. And they were accommodating as I don't eat eggs, they were able to put them on the side so my fiance could enjoy. Also delicious coffee
Art Without Fear
Outdoor seating available for anyone without vaccinations. (Like myself) I come here especially for the gumbo, fried chicken sandwich, drinks, and location. Extremely welcoming, professional, courteous and safe. They take care of their guests - with love. I truly appreciate that. Be mindful this place has unique hours, open during breakfast - lunch hours. On - street 2 hour residential parking (free) or 2 hour pay to park meters. Walking distance to a lot of gems the French Quarter has to offer.
Beth Platek
For being in such a busy corner of the French Quarter, you'd expect quality or service to suffer. We've eaten here for years and have never been disappointed. We've had both breakfast and lunch. Food is consistently delicious. Definitely get the bananas foster french toast - sweet but delicious.
Kimberly Orellana
Went there for breakfast and it was delicious! There was no wait time and we set by the window seeing the historic buildings! Had the Eggs Benedict Poor Boy and the Breaux Bridge Benedict which were both delicious but the Breaux Bridge Benedict was the best. I ordered a double espresso with a side of their mouthwatering vanilla ice cream and mixed it together and it was the absolute best thing!!! Service was fast and friendly! Definitely recommend!

Perfect location on Jackson square. Very attentive service and good food! We both had the Stanley Classic. The grits were good, the bacon a little dry for my taste though.
Amanda Rust
We had breakfast at Stanley Friday morning, great service, friendly people and excellent food. We both had the crab cakes Benedict with a Bloody Mary and shared the filet gumbo. Stanley is a must when you visit NOLA!
Niccole Springs
Surprisingly good spot to eat considering it is in a touristy area. After being unwilling to wait in the Cafe Du Mond line for beignets, we jumped in line at Stanley of New Orleans. We found seats at the counter and didn't wait at all. The grits were good but those croquettes were delicious. Generally, I would shy away from anything with Velveeta but this was worth breaking away from 'real' food. Croquettes are a must. The staff was friendly and engaging.

The Stanley is a classic and local favourite adjacent to Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Locally owned and operated, the Stanley has an amazing and reasonably priced menu that is full of New Orleans classics like Gumbo but with vegetarian alternatives that can satisfy the whole family. From Italian soda to Chocolate Malts to Alcoholic Libations, the Stanley serves breakfast and lunch from morning until later afternoon. Long-time staff like Kerry will make you feel welcome and you’ll see owner, Tanya, hard at work along with everyone else. Kalef was our server one fine Sunday and was fast, friendly and attentive. You feel like family at the Stanley, and if you’re not local, you’ll soon feel like one.
Outdoor and indoor seating is always available. Clean, comfortable with some of the tastiest food in the Quarter, you can’t go wrong at the Stanley—in fact, things only go right! It’s been my go-to for good food and great people for YEARS—even when it’s raining outside, it’s always sunny at the Stanley. FIVE STARS!

Sat outside due to the vaccine regulation but it was a beautiful day. Had great service and amazing food. Loved my Caesar salad. I recommend.
Dr. LSAT
Can't find a better location. Dishes were served VERY fast. Could probably have been in and out in less than 20 minutes if we had wanted to. I believe they served me the best Hollandaise sauce I have ever had - including my own - which is pretty damn good. Loved the idea of the eggs Benedict being served on a po boy roll but now I know why I haven't seen it anywhere else. It is extremely sloppy and impossible to eat without everything falling apart and dripping everywhere. Suggest you stick to the English muffins or crab cakes......
Jeremiah Strozewski
Stanley's offers a wide assortment of food options from breakfast to dinner. At the time if my breakfast, the place was full, with conversations abound, plenty of good food being ate, with lots of laughter between.
The business was clean and presentable, and there was always someone picking up your finished plate or refilling your drink.
I had the Baeux Bridge Benedict breakfast, and bad it was not. The flavors popped in your mouth, and somehow you wanted your neighboring person to know.
The bathrooms were clean and presentable, with the staff in a standard shirt, but still friendly and helpful.
Cassie Wilcox
Amazing food, beautiful location, the staff was lovely and accommodating. Indoor and outdoor seating and also a bar. Definitely one of my favorite spots!
Jamie
Loved this place! Breaux Bridge Benedict was amazing and the soft shell crab. Blood orange mule was tasty too! Great service.
Priscilla Veale
Right in Jackson Square! Food is great (but all food in New Orleans is!) If you don't like grits, try them anyway! Something about grits in New Orleans is different...I like grits, but I LOVE them here. Our server was friendly and on point. Our cups never emptied. As many times as I have visited New Orleans, this was my first visit to Stanley and I'll be making it a point to come back.
Mary Morrison
We had brunch around 10:00 on Saturday morning. This place is popular. Tip if you plan to walk around the square, go here first and put your name on the list - they will text you when your table is ready. I enjoyed a shrimp poboy and excellent community club coffee
Kimberly Socorro
My husband and I had brunch here just yesterday. Our waiter was friendly and the food was mouth watering delicious! I had the banana fosters french toast and added on a side of the cajun breakfast potatoes....both were absolute heaven. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich and loved every bite.
Chago Davis
We got caught in the rain but it felt good to make it in a local suggested we go the night prior. He raved about the eggs benedict with soft shell crab I cook allot so I was ready to see what was up. Our waitress suggested some kinda punch WHOA hello liver lol. All in all it was quiet raining a bit much but everything panned out when the food arrived. My supervisor was traveling to NO and told her she had to try it and she raved about it on her return from vacation this week.
David Thomas
I mean, it was ok. Not the best breakfast I have had in the area. We were able to get in quickly which was nice. Food was alright, the kitchen was quick. Maybe it was a little off for them. I'd be willing to give it another try
Jonah Fraser
This place is by far the best breakfast place in the French Quarter! Friendly staff and AMAZING food. Highly highly recommend for tourists and travelers.
Paul Schallberg
Food was wonderful. Breaux bridge Benedict and an omelet sandwich. Evana and whole staff were attentive and efficient with a full restaurant. We will definitely be back!
Brandon Kohr
Fantastic lunch/breakfast spot in NOLA. Checked into our hotel and wanted some brunch and bellhop recommended this place. Delicious! I got the corned beef hash and it was phenomenal! My wife got the Benedict and it was also great. Everyone else in our party raved about their meal as well. Staff was super friendly and attentive and made great recommendations. When we go back to NOLA, we will definitely be going back here.
Madi Zavitz
Such a great experience! We showed up on a busy Saturday morning and were able to get a table for 3 in less than 20 mins.
The corn beef hash and croquettes were amazing.
DONT SKIP OUT ON THE CROQUETTES. MAYBE ORDER 2 ORDERS (3 in each)
Also the Bloody Mary was ✨chef’s kiss💋 ✨
Ange Amichia
New Orleans food doesn’t miss. Not one bad experience. Fried shrimp Poo boy was amazing.
Elizabeth Logan
My family and I came here after our cruise, and it was wonderful!!! We had breakfast, and all of their dishes looked delicious. They were quite busy, yet still got our food out on the table FAST! The service was also really great, and it seems the whole team was helping to serve the food and clean up diligently. GREAT stop for breakfast for sure! I only wish we could try lunch and dinner here too! Maybe another time haha!
Basel T
Nice selection of sandwiches , Gumbo , sandwiches, milkshakes, ice cream and they have breakfast all day . Nice atmosphere
Fatty McFatFat
Wes runs this place like a well oiled machine. His customer service skills in handling every situation thrown at him would have made Chef Ramsay happy. Sitting at the bar we see the fresh French bread delivered in paper bags from the bakery. The locals come see their favorite people and eat their delicious food. I come here every time I visit the city. Definitely a must. Especially the crab cake eggs Benedict with soft shell crab on top! Scrumptious!
Malak
Amazing food, drinks and service! Highly recommend the Breaux Bridge Benedict and the soft shell crab.
Michelle Gabriel
Delicious as always, hard to choose what to get. Had The Omelette sandwich in the loaded grits with of course a Bloody Mary to start the morning. The bar crew is always friendly and entertaining.
Beth Gasser
Yummy! Order the Gumbo with a side of potato salad and try it together. Their gumbo is honestly on is the most decedent, rich and delicious soups I've ever tried. Great atmosphere and service.
christina gravel
Amazing food. Yummy po boys and the seafood breakfast platter was delicious. Great bloody marys.
Eric Ossorio
Wonderful Benedicts! Not your run of the mill muffin variety! Great staff.
Kim G
Great for people watching on the Square! Beautiful presentation, good service, lots of breakfast options, huge portions!
Amanda Griffin
This is truly the best place in the entire French Quarter to get breakfast/brunch! The staff are always friendly and their Cajun spin on brunch is delicious. I highly recommend over any other breakfast spot. Everyone always raves about Ruby Slipper (which is also good), but Stanley’s is far better! Eat here and support a great local business.
Delilah Carr
We arrived early at 8 30 with no wait. Absolutely delicious breakfast and service.
Billy Brooks
This place knows how to do breakfast NOLA style. The sauce on the Omelette sandwich has the perfect kick, and the Creole potatoes are addictive!
Zane Davis
Had a great experience here. Went for lunch and had a blackberry martini and it was the best drink I had on my entire vacation. Had the croquettes as an appetizers and had the shrimp and oyster poboy and it was all very delicious. Friendly smiling staff and short wait times made it all the better.
Beecreative brit
The restaurant was crowded with a line outside. Once we arrived and place our names on the list, we were able to roam around Jackson Square and received a text letting us know our table was ready. It was worth the wait because The food was fantastic, arrived quickly.
Kaylee Sligar
Great spot for lunch! They were very busy and we were able to get a table for two outside, facing Jackson Square.
Frank Furgal
Great shrimp Po boy sandwich and crab cake eggs Benedict. A great people watching location on Jackson Square.
EE
We loved this place!! Everything was so delicious. You need to try the croquettes so crispy. My husband got the crispy chicken Sandwich with fries and I had I can’t remember the name of my sandwich but it was extremely delicious. This is a must go on Jackson square.
Update: came back for breakfast had the croquettes again picture below and their crab cake Benedict was so gooooddd it was super fresh.
Daranta Parker
I was originally looking for a different place but fortunately my gps led me astray, and we found Stanley's. The customer service is great, and the food is delicious. this Is a great place for brunch, lunch and dinner and I have added it to my list if favorites
Samantha Kessen
My husband and I ate here today on our yearly birthday trip to New Orleans and we were blown away! It was absolutely phenomenal. Great taste, great service, great atmosphere. We ate outside in the sun and sincerely enjoyed everything. Will definitely be coming back!
Dylan Moore
Absolutely BRILLIANT BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING FOOD! Right next to Jackson Square - the staff and the owner was incredibly attentive and welcoming. Shrimp and Oyster Po Boy and insane bloody Mary’s!
We love Ms Tanya - Ms. Evana
Sarah Keady
We sat at the bar and it was well tended to and the staff were friendly. The food was above average but didn’t make my recommend list. The Italian soda tasted water down but the fried chicken sandwich was nice.
Philip G.
We usually stop here at least once every time we’re in town. I think they’re underrated. The food is always excellent. Yeah you probably pay a little extra for the location. Are you gonna walk 4 blocks to save a dollar for worse food? Nah.
Steve Smith
Excellent Breakfast
Definitely will come back.
Friendly service and the food comes out quick!
Fastest cooks in NO.
Breaux Bridge Benedict was amazing. So good !
Easy to find location on Jackson square.
Michelle Boesch
Kids got French toast and pancakes and were very satisfied. Tasty hot chocolate and spouse liked the eggs Benedict (not for me, but it wasn't my food 😊).
H CR
Great brunch location. Ate outside with a friend in Jackson Square. The variety of eggs Benedict are tremendous. From fried Oysters to Canadian bacon on a po'boy, you really can't go wrong with your choice. They are all excellent because of the amazing hollandaise sauce. Coffee is very good and strong. I'll be back to try more of the lunch fare, but breakfast is a must.
Jessica Cardoni
We happen to be in the city on a cold and rainy day so point in to Stanley’s was perfect. There is tons of window seating and it is right on the park so the people watching as super fun!!! The food was excellent and the waitress made perfect recommendations. My friend got the seafood breakfast and I have never in my life seen a fully fried crab he said it was amazing!
Greg Blair
Outstanding! It is hard to oversell their offerings. Softshell crabs with Cajun eggs Benedict? Amazing. Eggs Benedict over boudin sausage on top of a French roll. Amazing. And with terrific chicory coffee. It is a go-to destination
Belinda L. Pisarri
Our waitress was fantastic and super friendly. I wish 8 remember her name she definitely needs to be recognized . 9.11.22 she was waiting tables by kitchen and stairway. Our food was very good I wasn't a fan of the grits but only because not what I am use too gave us plenty of food.
Celeste D
My husband says this is the best po boy in town! My omelet sandwich was amazing. Double mimosa hit the spot also. Server and hostess were very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend.
Brian Schulz
Excellent food and service! The breakfast seafood platter had a tasty assortment of foods, mostly fried. Also had their version of French toast with banana foster, and it was delightful. If you can manage to get all 4 flavors on one fork, the reward is a multitextured blending of crunchy/soft and warm/cold, all soaked with a custom syrup. Definitely recommend, if they nail breakfast this good then I'd imagine their other selections are just as enticing.
Blaze
As far as brunch is concerned, this place is great! My wife and I shared a breakfast seafood platter and a bowl of gumbo. The gumbo was insanely delicious. Combine that with a double bloody mary (add bacon), and you're in for a real treat. We'll be coming back!
Brandon Smith
Absolutely loved this place, probably some of the best food we ate while in New Orleans. The kids meals were good size and good quality food.
I ordered the gumbo and it is probably some of the best gumbo I have had.
Alison Brissette
The best breakfast in town! We went here 2 days in a row. The coffee is nice and strong. The food was so good!
Gary Branam
Shared a wonderful meal here with my wife. She got the shrimp po-boy and I went with the gumbo. Both were top notch and the atmosphere was almost as good as the service. Pam had a great handle on the menu and the local activities. Add Stanley's top list of places to eat while in The Big Easy.
Shanelle S
Tourist-friendly restaurant with standard Cajun favorites. It was a 45 min wait but they called us sooner via phone call. We had to wait for next table since you have to be at the restaurant within 5 min of the call, and we were too busy taking pics in Jackson Square.
Once seated, the waitress was very friendly and quick to take our orders.
For the food, I found most of it to be too salty. My sister and I split an order of the gumbo, which was a bit lacking in the chicken and more heavy on the oysters. I liked that it came with three pieces of white bread to soak up the soup. The fried chicken sandwich wasn’t anything to write home about. The fried seafood platter was pretty big and can easily be shared by two people. It also came with a ton of French fries.
There’s a a single person bathroom at the top of the stairs. Plenty of long tables for big groups and unfortunately they didn’t have a balcony to sit upon. Overall it was a touristy spot but is in a convenient location to grab food when you’re by Jackson Square.
Adam Barney
I’ve made this a regular stop when in town to grab a great breakfast or brunch to get the day started right. Feels like a local joint right off of Jackson Square and has a menu to sop up whatever might have happened the night before or wherever you go later that day!
Mark Tovar
As a wheelchair user sometimes New Orleans can be a hit or miss with accessibility. Stanleys made it very apparent that they wished to serve us and were quick with the ramp and very welcoming. Most places let you know you are allowed, but you get a very accepting Vibe at Stanleys . Prices are fantastic and the food and Ice Vanilla Latte were some of the best.
Stephanie L Watson
Service was great. We were seated right away and we were social distanced from other tables. We had a cheeseburger, shrimp po'boy anf a small filet gumbo and I started with a bloody Mary. Everything was fabulous. Bloody Mary had a littl3 too much seading for me, but still fabulous!
Clay Toyne
Five easy stars. You need to hit this place up when in The Big Easy. I had the Breaux Bridge Benedict with a side of Creole Breakfast Potatoes. Eggs were poached to perfection. Probably the best meal I had this trip.
Jacob Gosch
This was an absolutely wonderful place. Right on the corner of Jackson Square. My wife and I sat outside and was able tonlisten to the live music. The food was amazing and we could not come up with any complaints. Highly recommend.
Imani Hillman
A group of 6 of us came in to have lunch. We were seated quickly and had our drink orders taken. It is a beautiful light filled restaurant with a quick and efficient staff. Our food came quickly and it exceeded expectations. Only complaint I have is that they don’t do split checks nor can they split it between two cards (or so I was told) but thankfully we could pay in cash. Overall we were very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere.
Amber Rollins
Delicious. The seafood breakfast with eggs Benedict was perfect. Tasty with perfectly poached eggs! The soft shelled crab, oysters and shrimp weren't overly breaded. Just the right amount of food. I loved the watermelon soda. So refreshing. Service was friendly and overly hovering. The experience was everything I'd hoped for.
Stuart
Light spacious cafe with views of Jackson Square. We had the soft shelled crab po boy and the oyster salad. Food was really good! Efficient service. Sides are extra. Canned beer, no tap.
Sierra Wolf
The shrimp po' boy was SO delicious. The outdoor seating was great for people watching and the service was good. The only drawback was that the mimosas were small and overpriced especially for New Orleans.
BuZgal
No parking around this is a walking friendly area
Staff super friendly
Although this is a brunch and breakfast place they sell alcoholic cocktails that are very nice and yummy
Their menu also features women of the classics of cajun food.
The drink too a little longer than I hoped but they were pretty good none the less.
BAYOU RUM PUNCH- it was pretty good and not too strong but very sweet just like I like. but if you want to have something strong this might not be the best choice
SMALL GUMBO- very tasty, hearty, and it has a very yummy taste I cannot describe wow. All I can say is wow. This is definetly amazing. I could say that the bread could have some butter on it but none the less I am glad my first gumbo experience was here. The way the sea food blends with the meat and the rice omg.
EGGS BENEDICT POOR BOY- after so many pics about this dish I decided to order, I must say that I am very impressed on the skill that they have making that pouched egg, but that is about it, nothing on this meal has any special flavor or anything memorable, so I can tell you that going for something more typical for the state would be more fulfilling rather than just a sandwich with egg and ham. none the less it was ok.
FRIED OYSTER - the fried oyster and sauce were dreamy. I ordered the 7 dollar side to put in poor boy. now. kind of think that to get a sandwich with the oyster in would have been a better idea and a more cost effective.
Over all I am pretty impressed and happy with our choice to come here for sure, but you should go through the menu and make smart choices here cause the good dishes are real good, but the not so good dishes are really just very blend and nothing crazy special.
this is a place to visit if you have the time and not other reservations I am pretty happy with our meal.
M.O. E.
We loved it! Pictured is what I had. And it was delicious. I greedily ordered the sweet potato fries and they were delicious. My friends ordered the shrimp po boys, fried and blackened. The service is courteous and not overbearing. I would recommend this place completely and plan to come back when I’m back in New Orleans. The only criticism I have is that I was told the coffee had free refills and I was charged for each one.
James Ives
Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and waited about 10 minutes for a table for two. Food came out promptly and tasted really good, everything seemed fresh and made to order. It’s however quite pricy, for two entrees and two coffees came to about $45.
My biggest complaint with this restaurant is the service. The waiter we had was almost expressionless and didn’t seem particularly interested in anything other then making sure the table was turned around quickly. If the service was better or if the price was lower I’d be more compelled to return.
J.G.
The typical chain atmosphere.
Service: Fair. The server, Poppy, seemed to be mostly ambivalent.
Food:
Fast delivery
As ordered
Environment:
Clean and open
Michael Hopkins
Breaux Bridge Benedict was phenomenal, outstanding and delicious!
The Bananas Foster French Toast was also delicious!
The staff was so friendly and attentive. Every one of them stopped by our table at one time or another to see if it was good, or if we needed anything else.
Jonathan Smith
My daughters visited New Orleans back in 2017 to celebrate my youngest daughter's birthday, and Stanley's was a high point of that visit. My wife and I, along with some friends, decided to visit just after Christmas; and my daughter made us promise we would visit Stanley's. That's one promise I'm happy we fulfilled. The Bananas Foster French Toast is in a category of its own. Now I have another reason to come back to NOLA as soon as I can.
Keren Gomez
Every visit to New Orleans always includes s visit to Stanley for the Bananas Foster French toast!! I love the shaved banana crisp chips that decorate the plate with! The sauce is so delicious you’re going to want to ask for a spoon!! Eat quick before your ice cream melts away!! I get with a side of bacon which are great pieces!
The corned beef hash is also very delightful!
They also have great chicory community Coffee!!
Also great bathrooms before you go walking around the French Quarter!
Brian Flowers
The bloody mary I believe I've ever had. I had the oyster Benedict and that has been my favorite food, so far, in NOLA. The view from the bar was superb! The staff, most excellent and friendly! Definitely a staple for my visits there!
Kailee Gritu
So good. Ordered the omelette sandwich and the Stanley Classic. Great food, atmosphere and friendly service. Would recommend again and again.
Raven was our server and was so nice and helpful! Thanks for a wonderful start to our day!
Stephen Cassidy
Consistently excellent food across the entire menu served in generous portions in a minimalist decorated diner on Jackson Square. Breakfast favorites include corned beef hash. Classic New Orleans dishes are wonderful as are the salads. Surprises on the menu like snowballs are perfect on a hot day for kids while adults can enjoy a milkshake with homemade cream and Irish whiskey.
JB Courvoisier
Went there for breakfast and it was very busy! In fact, the place was packed. It's location is perfect across from the park where artists thrive and sell their art. Okay, on to the food...it was good but different in a good way. For example, the corned beef hash is not the old school hash I am used to (out of the can) but chopped in tidbits with seasoned potatoes. The dish was excellent and they serve the most perfectly poached eggs I have ever seen. The coffee is not very robust and the mimosa was more champagne with a "shot" of juice. We had to ask for more juice. Our friends ordered "The Screamer" which is a tea concoction with various teas and grain alcohol. A very dangerous drink whereby you can't taste any of the alcohol...yikes, but delish!. A nice place, but due to it's busy-ness you well not get the old charm French Quarter friendliness that we have experienced from other "joints:"
William English
Great place to get breakfast. No wait on. Sunday morning, so that was a bonus. Excellent food and great service
Terrence Mahnken
Very cool place. Don’t be fooled by the pictures I took while I was there. I went close to opening during a weekday. Business started to pick up by the time I left. The Bananas Foster French Toast was amazing (not sure how they can get away with serving it for breakfast).
Lew Fox
Bustling spot! So much wonderful activity to watch from the windows. I only got the Bloody Mary and the Vegan gumbo but they were both great! I asked for a French bread side to sope it up because it is very soupy and rich. I wish I had gotten the soft shell crab to go with it, but that's for next time! The bathroom is upstairs if anybody has accessibility issues, that would be the biggest problem for you.
John Bemis
A New Orleans standby for a big breakfast or lunch. This is the place if you are hungry and up for a big meal with a New Orleans twist. They make a good bloodymary too. Used to be hard to get a table without a long wait, but we did not wait this time. No reservations taken.
Tina-Marie Simpson
So good! I got the breakfast sampler platter and a bloody Mary and was not disappointed. Fried oysters, crab and shrimp with an English muffin, ham, poached egg covered in hollandaise sauce. Food and drinks at Stanley were a great way to start our day!
Greg Johnson
They have crab cakes for breakfast. Awesome. The side salad was big. I liked the sauce that came with the crab cakes. The cakes also came with eggs. I had them scrambled instead of poached. I coukd sit outside right by ST Louis Cathedral and Jackson SQ and have breakfast. Will have to try more options in the menu. I do recommend
Brandy Thomas
Service: The hostess told us that it would be 45mins to an hour wait time for a party of six. She also told us that they don't split checks. In the meantime, my friends walked a block over to get some pralines. 30mins later I get a phone call and we make our way back to the restaurant. I was then told that I missed my 5min window, because we were 2mins late....(I was never told there was a 5min window). Please ensure your staff let all guests know there is a 5min window. I'm a visitor so of course I wouldn't know that. We were then added back to the waiting list and had to wait another 20mins.
Food: I had the soft crab po boy and it was ok. The bread was so thick I had to take half of the bun off. Next time I'll order something else.
Jay Jeffries
I thought this place was really great. When we walked in we didn't wait to be seated. But we did arrive at 9a.m. The service was excellent. Fresh orange juice and fresh New Orleans coffee. What else do you need in the morning....we ordered a little of everything to taste. Bacon, cheese grits (these grits are also a little different from what im use to. They aren't loose, they're stiff. But it's all good because they are delious), fried oysters cooked to perfection, scrambled cheese eggs with bacon and Creole potatoes. My one and only issue was that the food didn't Stay hot very long. Due to the fans it got cold right away. The fans were just on way too high. But besides that we enjoyed the food When it was hot...
Mary Sendall
A great place for breakfast. Right on the edge of Jackson square providing a perfect view for people watching while enjoying breakfast. A mimosa. Blueberry pancakes, and eggs Benedict poboy
Mike Sallier
This is the place that I always find time to visit whenever I’m in town. During this quick NOLA weekend, we ate here twice. The first time, we both had our customary Breaux Bridge Benedict’s. Outstanding! The second time, we decided to broaden our horizons and try something different. I had the Eggs Acadiana and she had the Eggs Benedict Poboy. Both were amazing choices that we will have again in the future. Whenever anyone asks me for suggestions on places to eat in New Orleans, Stanley is the first place that comes out of my mouth.

Eggs Benedict was fantastic. Get it with either fried oysters or fried soft shelled crab. They also make a pretty good latté (no fancy heart designs though). Highly recommend this place in the french quarter and look out at the park while you dine.
Anthony S
Great seafood platter breakfast! Love the combination of fried oysters/soft shell crab/shrimp and eggs benny. One of the best hangover cures out there for sure ;)
Service was friendly and prompt. Prices are reasonable considering their prime location in French Quarter/Jackson Square.
Their pancakes and french toast are also crowd favorites and if I ever visit NOLA again, I'll be sure to try them!
Definitely a fan! 4-star

The po’ boy benedict wasn’t the best, and I would not get it again. However, my friend who got the Stanley breakfast, with eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes, enjoyed that. The pancakes were really good. They are very generous with the champagne in the mimosas! Good, reliable breakfast in New Orleans!

Fabulous food and a nice bustling atmosphere.
I had breakfast here just before 0900 on the day of the Tricentennial and got right in to a seat at the counter. I can see taking a much longer wait later in the day, but this makes for a great breakfast spot.
I had the breaux bridge Benedict. A good offering of the classic eggs Benedict with a French quarter flair. Instead of being on an English muffin and ham, this was garnish with ham bits, and served on boudin cakes on top of baguette. You'll need a knife to eat this properly since the baguette is liable to be tough.
The potatoes that it came with were nice and zesty. The aroma of everything certainly complimented the look. Having an open kitchen with such fabulous playing for this dish really made it all that much better.
For breakfast in the French quarter, go here.
Kirrisa Stueve
Best Gumbo in town. We went here on our food tour and loved the gumbo so much we're going back in the morning for more.
Ps eating with the potato salad is a must!
Carsten Baumann
We came during the mid afternoon and the place was fairly quiet. It was great to get out of the heat and have a late lunch. The gumbo was tasty as were the red beans and rice. There was a delicious seasonal special: a soft shelled crab po boy. As a bonus, it is also a great spot to watch the action on Jackson Square.
Peggy Sah
I got the bananas foster French toast like all the reviews told me to and they were great! Definitely really sweet, but the flavor wasn't overpowered by being sweet if that makes sense.
I also got the bacon cheddar grits and, to be honest, I would pass on those.
the builder
Excellent breakfast. Very efficient staff. No wait to get in. Food was amazing both visits.
andre perkins
Had a wonderful time in this relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service provided. Will definitely return to try more menu items as soon as possible.
Steven L.
Had breakfast, the omelette sandwich was perfect, just the right amount of everything. Service was friendly.
The coffee was a bit weak, keeping it from 5 stars.
Ian Brown
Great breakfast with some fun dishes. I got the crab cake Benedict and it was so good. Service was prompt and being in downtown town New Orleans is fantastic. Highly recommended.
Justin Hare
Bartenders were great! The staff friendly, and food was definitely on point. Also, low key, quite possibly the best gumbo I have ever had!!!
Juan Vila Rodriguez, Tampa Realtor
Stanley's was great. The bacon & cheese grits were so good. Prices were fair, dress is casual, and staff was friendly.
Judith L
DO IT!!! Get the soft crab shell Benedict!! It is delightful!!! BUT if crab cakes are your thing like me...WOWA, DELiSh!
Hal Doueck
Excellent breakfast/brunch place, a must for any visit to New Orleans. They've got the menu down pat, and expect to wait between 20-45 minutes depending on your group size. Their drink menu is creative and works for anyone (try the rum drinks). Bloody Mary was spot on and the pickled green beans were awesome.
They don't have any homemade hot sauce, but they do supply everyone with ketchup and Louisiana hot sauce. Eggs and sandwiches are great here and you'll get great service. Just make sure to remember that they are a high turnover restaurant, so the staff is sometimes overworked.
Margaret M.
The food is excellent! Everything had so much flavor. My only issue was that we sat outdoors and the waitress wasn't very attentive or friendly.
Nancy Gonzalez
I love their banana foster French toast. Their corned beef hash was sliced in chunks and yummy! What can I say great breakfast spot with a great view Jackson Square.
Kristen Crouse
Stanley is great!
We went for breakfast around 9:30 and ended up going twice more that same day (for a drink and then dessert after dinner). Our waitress gave us recommendations on where to go eat/see while we were there.
We had the bananas foster French toast and the boudin eggs benedict. Oh my goodness! The French toast comes with homemade almond milk ice cream. It’s delicious. The Benedict had a great flavor, and having never had boudin, I was surprised and very much enjoyed it.
Around lunch time, we came and got Irish cream milkshakes (soooo good!!!) and a blackberry italian soda (also great).
Paul F
Great breakfast! Food was awesome and the Bloody Mary was incredible. Would definitely recommend!
Arys N
This breakfast spot is a must in New Orleans. The service is kind and helpful. With such a large breakfast menu, it was very hard to choose. Ended up with the Boudin Eggs Benedict. So <add explicit here> good. Great place to start your day and walk off your breakfast.
Kris Hardwick
Excellent bloody Mary and coffee. They have some of the best breakfast in the quarter. Love eating here every chance I get. Staff are very friendly and efficient
C JP
I took shelter in Stanley's today when the sky looked at bit threatening and I'm so glad I did. I asked the guy behind the bar if he could make me like Bloody Marys and he assured me that he definitely could! I had one with a shrimp and oyster po'boy and was not disappointed at all! While I'm still very much on the fence about the Bloody Mary, it was definitely the nicest I've had and the po'boy was absolutely delicious! With such friendly service and good food served quick and hot, I highly recommend this place!
Derek Reinhard
Nice quiet breakfast (8am Sunday) in an iconic location. Friendly, attentive staff. Crab cakes breakfast to die for.
Sabrina C
The banana Foster's French toast was SO good! I especially love the homemade almond milk ice cream! (Was here in 2018.)
Jo Anne Shaffer
Stable, pleasant staff; consistently excellent breakfast (where else can you quickly get over-easy eggs done perfectly even if you order them for takeout!?); busy & well-organized.
Dionna Wood
Had my first oyster poboy ever and let me tell you. IT. WAS. DELICIOUS. I really recommend this place. But make a reservation! Outdoor and indoor seating. Staff were all very nice!
Alan Metz
Food was great. Service was good. Did notice the server scooping ice with his hands into glasses. Also ice machine wasn't covered. Didn't notice these until we were done with our meal.
Ali Sinicrope
Oh. My. God. Best breakfast I have ever had! Get the Benedict PoBoy and Bananas Foster French Toast. Salt and sweet — and then top it off with a bloody with bacon! 100%
S Dobbe
Is our second time at Stanley both time we had really enjoy the seafood breakfast platter. The white Russian milkshake is delicious. The place is locate right on the plaza square.
Ericka Shinholster
The food was delicious but our server wasnt nice to one of my friends so it put a sour taste in our mouth. Even though the food was good I would not tell anyone to go there.
Melinda c
Don't get the Ruben. Everything else is great. The french toast is awesome, get ice cream in the side!! Mmmmmm
Sarena Fritch
I love Stanley!! It's located in the perfect place with lots of windows looking out onto all the activity that is Jackson Square. The breakfasts offer delectable creations that are either savory or sweet, and are served all day. Try the Bananas Foster French Toast or the Breaux Bridge Benedict.
They serve delicious morning drinks to get your day started, including beer, bloody marys, and mimosas. (Hint: It's never too early to start drinking when you're on vacation.)
Service is friendly too. The only down-side is getting seated next to the counter connecting the kitchen to the dining area. It is too busy and crammed into too small a space. We were initially seated there on our last visit but moved to the counter, which was much better.
Christian Mai
Great Place for Breakfast! The bloody mary was really good and so were the New Orleans Best Reuben and the eggs benedict!
Sidney Jacobs
Ate breakfast here. Atmosphere was great, service was fantastic, food was incredible. Had Eggs Stella, and I can't wait to have it again. Honestly, if I could describe how good the food was, you'd think I was exaggerating. Go see for yourself! :)
Sarah Stone
My husband and I enjoyed this place. Right on Jackson Square, it was centrally locates to historic French Quarter New Orleans. (We appreciated that it actually wasn’t right in the middle of the hub-bub of Bourbon Street.)
My husband ordered the Breaux Bridge Benedict. Served on French bread with boudin, he thought it was delicious. Maybe a bit over-priced at $16 but we also understood we’re eating in the FQ. I ordered the omelette sandwich. The caramelized onions were delicious and the bacon was perfectly crispy. Price was better at $10.
Service was fast and friendly. Interior decor and set up were great. Didn’t love the music, but it wasn’t too loud.
Would recommend if you’re prepared to spend a little more.
Peggy Scherer
I had a very good breakfast and excellent service but surprised and disappointed they don't have wifi available. Not all tourists have a local data plan !
Lance Salsman
Bloody Mary is top notch! Love it! Food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. They don’t do separate checks as an FYI.
Zac Carr
Had a shrimp po boy and it did not disappoint. It’s pretty big though. You could probably split it with another person. Very nice, friendly staff.
Amanda
Delicious food. Great spot for breakfast before we headed out after a great week in NOLA. The eggs Benedict was delicious!
Sherrie
Loved the food. It was hot and tasty. Our server was also prompt (cannot remember his name), but he was attentive. We were also served quickly, considering it was Essence Fest.
Jake Hawkesworth
Best Bloody Mary I've ever had. The service was impeccable. Space was gorgeous. Gumbo and shrimp po boy were both good. The Benedict was not good but they took it off our bill and were very apologetic.
Camille Fenwick
Omg the most amazing food!! staff was really nice, definitely worth going to.
Ana Ventura
Absolutely loved it!!!! The seasoning in the meat was a perfect match to my benedicts egss.
Lauren E
Had a shrimp/oyster po boy and it was soooo good!
Ciara Long
New Orleans never disappoints and Stanley was another win! Great brunch - quick, hot, and good plus friendly service! A definite must visit if you’re in the area.
Daniel Stepel (The last Baby Boomer)
Great atmosphere spectacular views and great food. I recommend the Banana Foster french toast.
Britt R
Absolutely amazing food! Well worth the wait (there's likely going to be a wait). No separate checks so plan accordingly!
Anastasia Bishop
This is the best gumbo I’ve had in the Quarter. I come back every chance I get. They refused to give my husband the recipe as a Christmas gift to me, so I recreated it, but I’m a good sport so I still support whenever I’m in town. Love y’all!
Daniel Wiggins
The food was great I had the Oyster and Shrimp Po Bo. The atmosphere was nice and pleasant. You can tell that they really care about the service they provide. I wouldn't mind coming back here again.
Josemarie Acha
The food was good. Had their big seafood breakfast platter. Soft shell crab, oysters, shrimp, eggs Benedict, and some toast. Douse it with Tabasco sauce. Pair it with coffee, and you have a match made from heaven. I would have given it five stars if their restroom was well-maintained. I was told by my friends that the restrooms were filthy when they went inside to use. Probably because it was the weekend before Mardi Gras. Wouldn't mind coming back for the food though. And it's right next to Jackson Square.
Rebecca
Our go to for breakfast in Nola. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly. The food is fantastic and you won’t leave hungry!
Daniel Sink
We ate here 3 times while in new Orleans. Awesome service, great food. Best shrimp Po boy we've had
Alyssa Niquette
Great location and great food! We had a bit of a wait for a brunch table Saturday morning, but the time was well spent with Bloody Mary’s to go and a wander around the square.
J Fraedrick
Good coffee. Mediocre service. Friendly enough, but never refilled the our waters. Sat right next to the window with a lovely view of the square. The hollandaise sauce was VERY thin and the cajun potatoes were soggy, but the fried oysters were on point. Kinda think the place is more of a 3.5 stars, but I would rather over rate than under rate.
Angela Chung
I got their breakfast seafood platter, and it was a highlight of this trip. The French toast was also very good.
Rebecca Lucy Poad
We were recommended to go here from a friend back home and it didn't disappoint.
The service was so friendly and swift. Both enjoyed our breakfasts. Great music too. The double cappucino was just a regular size we thought, but still great coffee. Thanks!
Luis Marcano
This place is awesome!!! The gumbo is delicious as well as all the menu! Tried 4 different dishes and all of them were great!
Saxon Cummins
anyone coming from out of town should definitely stop by Stanley restaurant. They had a white array of wonderful breakfast options as well as drinks selection. The staff is very friendly even in the middle of Mardi Gras!
Wren M
I stopped by Stanley's to just get a quick snack which it ended up being perfect for. They have very quick service and friendly staff. The food is great, I have the shrimp po'boy and the cheesy bacon grits which were both great! The ice cream sodas are delicious and refreshing as well as cute looking. It was pretty quiet when I went although it wasn't during dinner or lunch time so it could have just been after the rush.
Rachel GA
The Friendliest Servers in Town! Stopped in for a quick bite (and air conditioning on this hot muggy day) and found all the staff (especially Brandy and Kisa) to be very accommodating and friendly. Red Beans and Rice plate (large) was perfect for sharing and very flavorful. After several so-so dining experiences in the French Quarter, Standley was a welcome surprise. We'll return for sure.
Jessica Patterson
Beautiful windows for viewing out and the square. Amazing food and service. Must try the white Russian milkshake! TO DIE FOR! Even got to see Scott from NCIS new Orleans while eating!
Jessica George
Shrimp PoBoy was fantastic. Breakfast potatoes tasted like straight onions so would recommend another one of the sides. Waitress was very rude and it felt as if all we did was bother her
william swaggerty
1st time in New Orleans and I had to stop here. I had the eggs Benedict with fried oysters, with a side of fried oysters and a Stanley Screamer. Deeelicious!! Will he back in July.
Rachel
Cool, beautiful restaurant right next to the Jackson park. Foods were well seasoned and of great quality. Very nice service too.
Fishin' In Scrubs
Great location... A block away from Cafe du monde if one wants dessert afterwards... I had seafood platter... The wife had Louisiana BBQ ribs which was good but nothing mind blowing....
Matt Johnson
I had the corned beef hash, and found it very tasty. The Creole potatoes are unique and delish as well. The food was brought out in under 10 minutes and the server was prompt with drinks. All in all a very good experience.
Sarah Clare
This place is amazing. The atmosphere, the location, the grits, the bacon, the everything. I believe another reviewer said she liked it so much that she had gone back twice in 4 days. My husband and i did the same, it is that good. You can get breakfast on your way to do some sight-seeing and shopping or stop in for a light snack and a drink in the afternoon to get a reprieve from the Louisiana heat.
Cruz Michael
Food was good! Fast service! Pricey, but so are all the other places. Coffee not too good. Nice view of Jackson Square.
Aquino Family
Come here every time I'm in Nola. Best spot for brunch if you wanna vibe and people watch with great food and a nice morning/afternoon cocktail. Right in the center of Jackson Square.
Lauren R.
Place was nice, but can get crowded. I ordered the banana fosters French toast without the ice cream and it was a little dry. Very limited breakfast options, but overall everything was just okay. I'm sure there are better options in the area that are around the same price point.
Beth Calkins
Food is delicious fresh and served hot. Two thumbs up for the grilled chicken sandwich and the Stanley club!
Jaina Mistry
Had a fantastic breakfast here. It was early on a weekday, so incredibly quiet. Though walking by a bit later in the day, and the place was packed. Definitely recommend for a breakfast or brunch.
Niranjani Nelvoy
The food wasn't the best we've had in Nola, we had ordered french toast and pancakes and some omelettes, the omelettes were really good, but the French toast wasn't that great at all. Too dry. Everything else we ordered was pretty good though.
Dominique Watkins
This Restaurant was Perfect from the food to the Hosts! The Bartender is AMAZING! YOU must stop here on your trip to New Orleans...DW.
Dawn Gonzales
We were seated quickly and the service was very attentive. Breakfast presentation was beautiful. The bacon and cheese grits were AMAZING (and glute free). The poached eggs Boudin was also beautiful.
Ashley Wilson
Loved the brunch. We ordered eggs Benedict and fried oysters with bacon and cheese grits. The grits were amazing!
Production Apostle
One of my last spots left after covid to get a good morning Bloody Mary's ... the are right on St. Ann and Charters in Jackson Square.. Very convenient to order to go morning drinks and enjoy the shops or wait in the line at Cafe...
Danielle Mari Filas
Liked the breakfast so much we can't back twice in four days! Fun to sit outside and watch the Jackson Square activity. Good bloody marys and I really liked the crispy oysters with poached eggs on an English muffin.
georgi petrov
Location, location, location. Best view in town from the corner tables. Good esspreso, portions are european sized, so a bit smaller than what americans might expect. The breakfast options have local variants.
Michael Fil
Come for the food, stay for the views.
Stanley is on the edge of Jackson Square, with massive windows that are perfect for people watching. The food is good and the coffee is adequate.
Space is pretty tight here and your plates will be pricey. But you can't beat the real estate.
Hyunsun C
My breakfast dish was very good. I gave 3 stars only because the service was poor. Saw a couple came in and sat down but left the restaurant after no one came to take the order.
Rob Cacioppo
Brunch here was absolutely amazing. Excellent service and delicious food
louis davidson
Amazing service, buzzing atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommend
Oscar Guzman
HELL YES. The eggs benedict the boudan were amazing! The poached egg was cooked to perfection!! This is the best breakfast I've had in NOLA!
Shawn Santon
Simple breakfast with some more traditional New Orleans options. Eggs Benedict, Eggs Stanley and the Banana Foster were all good.
J K
Enough can’t be said about this place. The food is amazing and so is the service. Also, the Bloody Mary was my favorite I had in New Orleans.
Porshae'
The French toast was good not amazing not less than good. It came out hot but was served with a solid scoop of ice cream. I would get it again if it was a softer ice cream or I just left that off. Also had the special with the soft shell crab and fried oysters, that was tasty along with the Benedict. I would go back. Hint: this near Jackson Sq ( I believe) across from Cafe Du Monde. This area is very busy, if you use the Yelp app you can check in before you arrive. We were able to reserve the table at our hotel and walk right to our table when we arrived.
chris montgomery
I can only give it 5 stars! Was THE best breakfast I've had in a long time. Their corn beef hash and pastrami with poached eggs was phenomenal! Service was fantastic along with the setting. If in NO I highly recommend making this a breakfast stop. See that smile, that's because of that breakfast, bon appetit...
Cami Lyell
Always a go-to place when we are here. Update... ate here 3 times before we left. Love it that much!
Elizabeth Myrtle
My 6th trip to nola and Stanleys is always a must! Their bananas foster french toast call to me... The savory grits are also a delight. The staff is always kind and attentive. I am visually impaired and they readily accommodate me whether it is heloing me with the menu, processing payment, or leading me to a rest room. I have always felt like a welcomed guest in their establishment.
On weekends french quarter restairants get crowded but the staff moves quickly to get your food to the table and somehow do not make you feel rushed to leave.
John Z-man
Everytime I come to New Orleans I always stop by Stanley's. The food and service is outstanding. Very fresh and full of flavor. Well worth waiting for a table. Plus can people watch while eating at Jackson Square...
Stanford Kim
Definitely one of the prime go-to locations for a delicious gumbo stew. I was taken back at the excellent quality of service and food, and I absolutely loved their specialty, the Stanley Gumbo.
Will Nash
Stanley is a well-known New Orleans breakfast spot that is only okay and not worthy of the hype--expect an average meal at an above average price. It is located in a good (tourist) location and has character due to the history. However, the meal is definitely average. The food isn't great.. The food isn't bad... As long as you don't have high expectations, this place gets the job done so you can continue to enjoy New Orleans.
Tony Prenger
If you’re in Jackson Square and even a tiny bit hungry, make a stop here. The food hits the spot, the drinks are delicious, and the ambience is a perfect match for the area. If you have a sweet tooth and an appetite, get Bananas Foster French Toast.
Catrina Simmons
I'm from Pennsylvania first time visiting New Orleans. Our bartender told us about this place. We walked 20minutes from our Hotel to go here. Well worth it Service and food was delicious. I had the French toast with ice cream and a side of creole potatoes.
Brian K
Delicious breakfast! Get the Breaux Bridge Benedict. It was the second best meal I had in NOLA.
Marshall Capps
Nice little diner-like atmosphere right on Jackson Square. Gumbo was excellent and shrimp Po’boy as pretty good too.
Mike V
Love this place and when I’m in New Orleans and get a chance to stop in for some of NOLA’s best!
Do yourself a favor and visit here for a proper New Orleans Breakfast.
Ector Garcia
This is my go too breakfast in New Orleans. Best Eggs Benadict I have ever had. The line can be long but the food is worth it.
Kourtney Nicole
I ordered a side of crab cakes, bacon & cheese grits, file gumbo, creole potatoes & Italian sodas.
Everything is delicious 😋
Al Jamm
Delicious food, beautiful presentation and quick friendly service. What more do you want..? 🙂 …
Tanaya Walker
I love me some gumbo, and I went all over the French Quarter trying different kinds (next time I will leave outside) but their rue is soooooo good for their seafood gumbo. What I really enjoyed was their red beans and rice. Delish!
M Co Texas
This is my FAVORITE place in New Orleans. The location is perfect, but that's just the beginning! They are known for their great breakfast and specials on mimosas, but they have great lunch, too! My Go-to is a White Russian milkshake. It's what I imagine clouds in heaven taste like.
Russell Roy Tritico
The breakfast was incredible. Both my wife and I loved our selections. I recommend the bananas foster french toast. The service was really quick once you got in and the wait staff was attentive.
Michael Garland
Fried oyster PO Boy was good. A little on the sweet side. May be the same. Noisy.
Gloria Ornelaz-Sandoval
Food was ok, didn't like the fact that the food came with no sides. Everything has to be added separately. Mainly seafood items.
Josh Cox (coximus22)
Excellent breakfast food, service and atmosphere! Don't miss this place.
Leigh Kapor
Went there for a breakfast Sunday morning and was seated immediately, great food and service! The chicory coffee was awesome too. Would come back if I get to visit Nola again.
S Sears
Food was amazing grits were so creamy and the pancake was fluffy and sweet, definitely will visit again.
Nicole Monet Rizzo
Amazing fried green tomatoes and bloody Mary's. We were a group of 8 wandering around looking for a place big enough for us and they sat us in 15 minutes on a busy Saturday afternoon. And the windows are huge and left open in the good weather.
Sheila Marlow
Expresso was cold (twice), Food was mediocre at best. A+ for the Bloody!
Ashley Nicole Bradley
Great service, amazing food. Had the Breaux Bridge Benedict, delicious!
Kathleen Lopez
We were doing our own food tour and trying out each location for a type of food that is known for. We were looking for Banana Foster and the place we were going for was Brendan's, but you had to have reservations.
Stanley's showed as a location for Banana Foster but with French Toast. It was good food, not what were expecting but something different to try.
Cody M
Best part of our encounter here were the mimosa and cappuccino. Food was pretty meh in my opinion. The Egg Stella comes with basically a whole fried crab. How am I supposed to eat that? I asked for hashbrowns and got "breakfast potatoes", basically seasoned potatoes with pepper and onions (both of which I hate, and no one said anything to me until it arrived).
Andrew Mills
Wife and I stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. The outdoor patio was very nice, but it was a hot day, so we chose to sit inside.
The service was excellent. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. We had a window seat that gave us a nice view of Jackson Square.
I ordered a coffee and the Fried Shrimp Poor Boy sandwich. Both were wonderful! My wife ordered a burger and a pop. She wasn't satisfied with her burger.
Edith Cisneros
Best brunch spot in Jackson Square. We make sure to make it out at least once when in town.
Kevin Patten
Awesome breakfast! Great service. Very friend.
phillip Lalli
Bananas Foster French Toast was delicious, I wish I could have eaten it all.
ashley mcgough
This place is on Jackson Square, so they are BUSY!! Don't expect your food in 10 minutes or less. Do expect friendly service and wonderful food with reasonable prices. Be patient, have a conversation, and people watch. You won't be disappointed.
James McVicker
Stanley is a favorite when visiting New Orleans. While all of their food is phenomenal, their breakfast/brunch sets a higher standard. Try their variety of Eggs Benedict renditions for a true taste of New Orleans cuisine.
Nicholas Franklin
Brunch was great!
I had a Bloody Mary and the Eggs Benedict Po'Boy and they were both amazing.
The service was stellar. Tonya was fantastic and so much fun!
We sat outside and had a small party who all had many different dishes.
The short wait was totally worth it.
Sabrina R.
I have always passed by this place while visiting NOLA, but we finally decided to give them a try when we got up early enough to beat the crowds, and I am SO glad we did. I had the pastrami hash, and the flavor was on point, with large chunks of meat. I stole quite a bit of my child's bananas foster french toast, which was also fantastic. A little sweet for me to eat as a whole meal, but my kids didn't complain at all. My husband had the grits, so I stole a bite of his as well, and immediately ordered my own. They were the BEST grits I have ever had, so creamy and flavorful. I went back the next day to specifically order some more to go. Once they open they get busy quick. If you're lucky you can get a seat outside and listen to the live music that is outside.
Laura Fullerton
Quick food service, tasty fried chicken burger, and Kalef my server was lovely
Aline Nachlas
Great food and views! Evana was amazing and took care of our large group!
Annaleise Porta
We came for breakfast, it was delicious. Staff was wonderful as well.
Crystal Lowe
Food was good. Place was clean and Colin the bartending was friendly Eben though he was busy.
Brandy Tucker
Amazing food. The waiter recommended the corn beef and hash, something I've never had before, and it was so delicious. Daughter ordered bananas foster French toast and it was tasty also!
Aparna Miano
Amazing food and great service. Delicious oyster po-boys, poached eggs, and fried seafood. Reasonable prices, good drinks, attentive service. Nice atmosphere inside and out, and the food tasted a lot fresher than some other places in the area.
Robert Walters
Breakfast Seafood Platter, Egg Benedict Poor Boy, Creole Breakfast potatoes, great food geat service
Frannk Sannicola
Burger was great, all the food we ordered was top notch
St Aubyn King
So I came here 6 yrs ago on my last visit to New Orleans and the experience was so good, couldn't wait to visit again. As soon as we got off the plane, took the Uber straight to the restaurant before going to our hotel. And again we were not disappointed. Food and service was awesome, had the same plate I had the last time with the soft shell crab..mmmmm
Robin Weaver
Seafood platter for breakfast was delicious!! And the drinks were good.
Freddy Villalona
The food good, but we had to wait almost and hour for our food to come out despite not being busy. I had the egg benedit with fried oysters. I also had a New Orleans beer.
Victor Patel
A great restaurant worth checking out when visiting New Orleans in the Jackson Square area. The corned beef hash, as well as the gumbo were both quite flavorful. A great choice for brunch.
Michelle Kim
Ever since I first visited NOLA in 2017, I’ve come to Stanley’s for breakfast. It never fails to impress me and I love everything I have gotten from here. My favorite is their Breaux Bridge. It is definitely worth the visit.
Al Toppi
Ate breakfast this morning, sit at the bar the guy was named West, super good guy, the food was actually very good. 100% recommend this place to anyone. Day 2 Ate there again today this time was seated at a table. The food was great again. The sever was a young lady with red hair. Unfortunately she was horrible. I am still giving the restaurant a 5 star. Can hold everyone responsible for one bad person. I would definitely prefer to sit at the bar. Those guys were awesome.
Phillip Simpson
This place was wonderful! If you are lucky enough to get a table in the front windows you have such an incredible view of Jackson Square! I wasn't that lucky but the food was delicious. There were too many options i wanted to try but the server recommended the Eggs Stanley and became i just love oysters I went for it. Im glad I did the oysters were probably the best fried oysters I've ever had, batters in corn meal made them so light and full of flavor!
Damian Rodrigo Olivera Bergallo
Excellent gumbo and super tasty shrimp poor boy! Friendly service. A must in New Orleans.
dietslander
I loved the atmosphere and appreciated the wonderful food alongside the air conditioning in the brutal heat. Next time i’m in town i’ll 100% b eating here again!
Sarah Calvey Cummings
Gorgeous setting, clean atmosphere. Flavorful food. Cozy restaurant, perfect for people watching while you enjoy breakfast!
Amanda Valiente
Most AMAZING service, my Ruben was phenomenal. Wouldn't recommend the breakfast, go for Brunch! My waitress was amazing and the pastrami and cornbread were great!
Stephen Shecora IV
This was such a delightful restaurant. I had the BLT salad and a Bloody Mary, both were well made and flavorful.
M H
Last stop before heading back to Cali. Good was delicious from the potatoes, fried chicken sandwich, crab Benedict.... everything. I wish I knew the name of our waiter, he was amazing!
Chandra Bohannon
Food was amazing! We got ours to go and it was still great once we finally got to sit down and eat. Got the Fried chicken sandwich and fried shrimp poor boy. The bread used was soft and crusty. Perfection. The Boudin Croquettes, muah! Great location and the staff are wonderful.
Randy Schaffer
It was a hot day while walking around the around the quarter. I stopped off for a nice coffee that was really good and quenched my thirst
Ohad Orpaz
Great food & service.
Good coffee!
Too bad no sweets 🤷🏽♂️ …
Nicolette Vaghela
Wow, this was the best meal we had in NOLA, and we ate a ton of great food. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict and it was phenomenal. My son had the Bananas Foster French toast. I recommend that you coerce someone with you into getting that so you can get a breakfast dessert too. You will not be disappointed. My husband had a breakfast sandwich and he also enjoyed it. It has been a week since we left and I this is one of the meals I can’t stop thinking about.
Pavel Hardak
The food was... Eatable. The benedict was below average, seafood so so. The service was below average. Disappointed.
Yesenia Fernandez
My breakfast sandwich was delicious but the margarita tasted like lemon watered down.. Service was excellent and quick. Great spot to sit watch activity around you in French Quarters area....
lorette Iffly
I took the Banana Foster French toast and I don't regret it, it was so good but I couldn't finish because the plate was to big for me. I was really full but I really enjoyed the food. I fully recommend.
Chester Taylor
Top notch service
Food quality and atmosphere
Value for quantity
Best breakfast in the Quarter
JUNIOR EDWARDS
Superb Breakfast location! Food was on the money service was good. Got there early. Seated within a minute. Sat outside, bad mistake. Flies wouldn't let us enjoy our food. Suggest to eat inside. Apart from that, excellent!
Jacob Castaneda
One of the Best breakfast spots in the French Quarter. Fast and friendly service. You will come back again. That's how good it is.
Morgan Reddish
This place is pretty hard to beat for a full breakfast that lets you fill up after a long night. And the Bloody Mary is great so you can get started again.
Stanley Lawson
The food was phenomenal and the service was spectacular. Great way to have a Saturday morning brunch at Jackson square. If you go there you want to make sure you ask for Shaun we're the best waiters I've ever been fortunate to have.
Kema Raymond
A pleasant surprise. I took my mom for brunch and we BOTH liked the place. I make sure the drinks are good and she test the food 😂. The staff was/is very nice and accommodating. I'll go back!!!
I gave 4 stars bc the menu isn't very expansive, but I guess that's great for people who have trouble deciding.
PrincessPixel
Everything was absolutely amazing!!
Leilani Nance
Eggs benedict with aragula and tomato cooked perfect. Grits they was alright. Not sure about cream in them.
Rochelle Ayala
Amazing. Had the egg benedict crab cakes and banana foster pancakes. It was like heaven in your mouth. Definitely have breakfast here.
Jorge Gallo
Great location, service and food right on Jackson Square!
Josh Bearheart
Food was good, better than expected actually and the price was lower than expected. All in all the place was nice and the people were super friendly. Bathroom was clean, though only one person at a time can use it.
Travis Brice
Excellent service and delicious burgers and much more we were not able to try yet. Pictured is the bacon double cheeseburger with coleslaw and a watermelon Italian soda.
Camilo Sandoval
Quick service and nice options. Grab a beer or coffee here and walk over to Jackson Square, sit on the grass and enjoy the views
Mason Greene
Best bruch ever. Everything was super tasty. Sat at the bar. Lenita did a great job.
Denia Rios
This place is soooo good!!!! The banana foster toast was amazing
Irving Barraza
This was a GREAT experience. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Had my very first Gumbo and it did not disappoint. Thank you.
Rynosaur94
The best breakfast in the city bar-none. I love the benedict poboy, but its hard to go wrong on their menu. Service is usually good, though it can get very busy.
Maren
Amazing food and an even more amazing staff! Great location right by Jackson square - so there’s lots of wandering you can do if you have to wait for a table.
Kendra Kristine
Grits and mimosa were top notch and I've never had ice cream with my pancakes but what a wonderful idea!
Frunze42
Eggs Stanley are the best thing ever! Had this dish seven years ago on my first trip to NOLA, but thought about it often. Why you ask? Cause the fried oysters! Love them! Do wish the restaurant did reservations. I'd be there every day.
Phil Graf
We loved it! Incredibly fast and friendly service, and the food is fantastic.
Charlie Danger
Good location, very friendly staff, bright windows and a wide-ranging menu.
Bill Townsend
One of the few truly good breakfasts in the city. Skip the Ruby Slipper (3 stars at best) and get some real food here. The boudin on the Breaux Bridge Benedict was ridiculously good!
georges clouscard
Nice place with an amazing californian Waiter. But food is expensive, $16.50 for 3 leafs of salad.
Thomas Perkins
I have only eaten breakfast here. The "eggs benedict" made with crab cake are too good to be believed. Convenient location on Jackson Square.
Back to the Big Easy after covid. A great place for breakfast. A bit pricier than Monty's, but also a little better. Stanley opens at 9 and I got there about a quarter after 9 and the place was nearly full! Not bad for a morning at the end of July!
Megan Liddiard
I had the best breakfast of my life here. I think about the omelet sandwich all the time. This was one of our very favorite places that we ate in New Orleans. The one downfall is the high prices. Service wasn't very fast, but the food was so insanely good that it was totally worth the money and the wait. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and made the whole thing even better. The bananas foster pancakes and french toast were both amazing too. I wish they had one of these in every city in the US.
Marty Messer
My favorite breakfast place in the quarter. Right on Jackson Square, you can’t beat the view.
Nick Wood
Great brunch place.
Half our group got breakfast and half got lunch food but everyone was happy with the food.
Service was fast and friendly.
Al Lozano
Quick friendly service.. Great pancakes and ice cream!
Jason Baum
Fantastic spot right in the square. Great food, great service, and amazing drinks.
Arthur Jackson
Food and service was excellent and the wait app was great to minimise wait time
Rich Veale
This joint was awesome. Despite the requirement for vax and/or negative test, they took every precaution to make us feel welcome and safe. The drinks were on point, the food was as well. Highly recommend!
Rabindra Bhagwandas
Got drunk the morning we got there lol! Servers were nice and fast service
Derek Heaton
Excellent potato salad and a very enjoyable, if not large, club. I'll be back.
Kerry Smith
Went for brunch food before leaving town, I enjoyed the food and atmosphere that morning. Food was good and staff was great, the wife did start feeling bad after the oysters but that could have been from trying something new. Would go back and eat again!
Dimari
Ate here after Sunday Easter Mass. After realizing that our brunch reservations at Muriels consisted more of lunch and dinner options, we opted for something more subtle and breakfast like. We waited about 20 minutes. Impressive for a holiday. Needless to say everything was delicious. I had bananas foster and my daughter had the chicken sandwich. It was great. Definitely coming back.
Claressa Hertzberg
We visited NOLA this past weekend, and this was by far my favorite place to eat. My partner and I sat outside so that we could people watch Jackson Square on Easter Sunday. So much fun. The food was DELICIOUS. I had a benedict with fried oysters and my partner had the corn beef hash. The staff was friendly and efficient, despite being so busy. Can't wait to visit again.
Linda Finn
Every box is ticked at this place, but go for early breakfast to avoid a line...unless you don't care about lines. Food xlnt, friendly and efficient service. Yummy menu!
Julia Russell
Awesome banana forster French toast! Family also loved their stuff! Worth the long wait!
Soyoon Kum
Had a brunch here. Lots of people, food portion was not that big.
Rebecca Silva
Had to have the Stanley breakfast to see what was the fuss all about. Didn't went crazy on it, guess its an acquire taste. The service was good.
Samantha Clark
The stars are for the food! It’s amazing. If you are used to good service, you’d be disappointed. If your not used to good service, you’re in good company. Our waitress, I’ll just say starts like Schrh, only brought waters (late), took our order then brought our check. Never asked if we needed anything or checked how our food was. Never filled up drinks. It’s not a large place, so you’d think they could handle the small amount of people. We are 20% tippers and sometimes higher, let’s say she wasn’t worth 10.
Food is great!
Ask for someone else and see if you get better service.
Daniel McKenzie
Food was amazing, 👏👏 place was busy. I had the Ruben which was probably the best one I've ever had. Wife had the banana French toast and i had only one bite of but it melted in my mouth it was so good. Service was on point and as fast as they could be with how many people we're there. Highly recommend going …
Walter Garcia
Food was delicious and service was good.
Victor Nieto
You have got to love the character of this place. On Jackson Square, sitting outside at the cafe tables gives you a big-bite of the French Quarter. Music hitting you from Cafe Du Monde and the square.
Oh yeah, the food is delicious too!
Kimberly Gill
Excellent food, phenomenal service. The Banana Foster's was beyond delicatable. Crab cakes were just as good if not better than ones you would get in Boston. Highly recommend.
Siddharth Mistry
Their french toast is to die for! And everything else tasted really good here! Must go place in New Orleans!
Michael Hutchinson
We loved this place. The food and drinks were delicious. I had the eggs Stanley highly recommend and my husband had the banana foster french toast. I also had 2 bloody Mary's and they were fantastic!
DoubWorks LLC
I ordered the eggs Benedict poor boy. The meat had a very nice flavor and the poached eggs were fine. The "French bread" was disappointing. Considering the location, I expected bread that you might be able to compare to bread you might find in France but instead, it compares to "French bread" you might find in a cheap US grocery store. The "Cajun hollandaise" did add a creamy texture but that's where the benefit stops. It had little to no flavor. The flavor it did have was reminiscent of a strange mayonnaise more than anything. I mean, my God, just add a pinch of chayanne and a squirt of lemon or something... would that really break the bank? The reason it has 3 stars and not 1 is because the staff was friendly and attentive beyond my expectations.
Jose Sosa
Fast and friendly service. The food was on point, too.
Heather Michael
great service and the yummiest grits!
LVX ex Tenebris
Best breakfast spot so far on my trip. Easy wait till and the frog legs with arcadiana was my steez! No complaints and wonderful architecture and dinning atmosphere. Well worth the price if you enjoy good food at a reasonable rate
Emanuel Stiles
Their bananas foster pancakes are awesome (though their pancakes are a bit 'heavy', not quite as light and fluffy as I prefer). They also mix a great mimosa - just the right champagne to OJ ratio (as in, champagne with just barely more than a splash of OJ). Their eggs benedict are also great. I will say I've never really had GREAT service here, but it's always been at least passable, and the location, atmosphere, and food more than balance that out.
Gina Meggs
This place is just wonderful! The staff is always friendly and efficient, the food is really good, and the price is fairly reasonable for the French Quarter. The place is scrupulously clean, and has outdoor seating right on Jackson Square.
Erica Kenny
Breakfast!! Ate there back to back mornings, and we were not disappointed either time. Fast, friendly, and delicious food!! Get the white russian!!!!
Jerry Miller
A surprising eatery with proper drinks (marg w/GM floater!) and excellent food, even for us healthy Californians. Super-friendly staff at the bar (Wes!) made the experience friendly and not touristy, and for that, this place merits 5 stars.
Ken Landis
Decent place right next to the Cathedral. Our server was slow but the food was pretty good. Prices were reasonable.
Mike S
Super friendly service and you simply cannot beat the location. Enjoying the views of Jackson square for breakfast and free entertainment from nearby musicians are the reasons to eat here. The food leaves a little to be desired.
Dave James
Great spot right on the corner of Jackson square. The service was phenomenal; the food came out minutes after we ordered it. The Eggs Acadian, corned beef hash, and bacon and cheese grits were perfect. The coffee does come with a heavy dose of chicory so prepare your taste buds accordingly. They have a fine selection of hot teas.
Just because of the great food and the awesome service I will eat here again!
Mika J
We arrived home yesterday from our 6 day stay which was Wonderful!
Thursday was our final day and we decided to stay close to the hotel.
We'd noticed a crowd each morning at Stanley’s New Orleans and decided to try it.
I had their blueberry walnut pancakes.
My wife had their bananas foster french toast.
We loved sitting on their outdoor patio listening to live musicians.
Stanley's ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nicole Reynolds
BEST ONION RINGS EVER! We stopped by here on a Saturday morning for a quick lunch and All the food was great. We got a table with an awesome view of Jackson square. The best part for me was the onion rings the batter was so crunchy and buttery. Not greasy just yummy!
Kelli Nakagama
Excellent food, bright atmosphere. Get the crab eggs benedict!
Patrick Garner
The breakfast was great but the breakfast menu was very limited.
Update
I ate dinner and it was fantastic!
Anna Costabile
The breakfast here is out of this world!!! The bananas foster pancakes are to die for. Sweet but not too sweet, overall so delicious. The omelette sandwich was amazing, very filling. I’m so happy we decided to come here and will definitely be coming here again next time we’re in town!
Madison Hurley
Great food & service for great prices! Our party ordered red beans & rice, double cheeseburger, & the Stanley classic, Omelet sandwich & everyone was happy. They also serve breakfast all day which was nice. The wait was about 30 minutes but they text you when the table is ready so we were able to walk around while we waited.
Taylor Langan
Great food and fun to hang out on Jackson Square.
Elias Ramirez
Really good fried soft shell crab. Service was cool too. Pretty quick
Ashley
Came for brunch. There was an hour wait but the food and customer service were good.
Kathleen Yuska
The bananas foster French toast and bacon was all so crazy delicious! Staff was friendly and swift. Location is great. My son and husband got the 2 different types of eggs Benedict both were a clean plate quickly!
Kelli Derum
Our waitress was very good, another one who was trying to get by our stroller was very rude (skinny w/ black hair). We had sat outside but when a flash flood came and ruined some of our food, we were directed inside where the pathways are not too wide and hence needed to bring in the stroller while we waited for our food to be remade. Greasy spoon--food was mediocre. Location is what brought us in-- eating in Jackson Square.
Ivy Tran
Food was average -nothing amazing so I’d consider it overpriced for what it is. We did go on a Sunday morning so they were packed and busy so maybe that affected the food quality. Service was great but getting a table was a pain.
Blossom KW
We truly enjoyed our meal at Stanley's. I had the Cajun ribs. The bbq sauce was fantastic, spicy with out being hot. The baked beans and potatoes salad were also very good. I liked they use a spare rib. My wife had the seafood Benedict which she also enjoyed. The bloody Mary's were fantastic best I've had New Orleans. Our server was Brandy and she was prompt friendly and very engaging. Our next visit we will ask for section again, a true gem
R. Muasher
Had the eggs Benedict po boy. First time I've tried a breakfast po boy. Their hollandaise is exceptional and so was the service. Highly recommend.
Mark Aguilar
Very nice people and the food was awesome
Tom
best creole breakfast, seafood, light fried awesome
Alyssa Weber
Great po boys. Snowballs were a little too chunky, and there was only one restroom.
José Arturo Ciprián Burgos
Good spot at Jackson Square for a real taste of NOLA food.
Jessica Cegelski
The best eggs benedict!!!! We ate there several times during over visit in November 2018.
Jazzy Piper
This restaurant is in the French Quarter. Walking down St. Ann Street was not pleasant. It stunk like a combination of vomit and poop, the smell was horrible. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were immediately seated. I ordered the corn meal coated oysters with eggs Benedict. It was so yummy. Very, very good! Again, nothing extra, no potatoes, not slices of tomatoes, no garnish, only what you ordered. It was delicious!
Susie Feraci
Great restaurant. Crabcakes Benedict with soft shell crab was amazing!!
Rod Brooks
Absolutely the best Gumbo I've ever had... The Rum Punch was terrific as well! The service was outstanding & very reasonable prices
Audrey Morrone
Stanley’s is amazing. We stopped here for breakfast and tried several dishes all of which were outstanding.
Gunny Gumby
By FAR! The best restaurant I’ve experienced in New Orleans. Gumbo nirvana of Cajun cuisine!! Eight years ago, my wife and I ate here and the food was amazing!! Literally everything I’ve had on this menu is delectable and mind blowingly delicious! And I don’t think y’all understand. I’m a certified chef, with an impressive assortment of recipes and culinary successes under my belt as well as global tasting experiences. I promise you, no Gumbo, can compare or compete to what you will find here at Stanley’s. Bold flavors meet fresh ingredients and a passion shared by the owners that creates a dining experience you will not forget! In fact, the cravings you will have for their food will create a dependency that will dictate a mandatory must visit to this location every-time you’re in the vicinity of New Orleans! Just left here, already planning my next visit!
Brandon Dill
Prior to my trip to New Orleans I was told repeatedly that I needed to visit Stanley’s for breakfast. I cannot speak for their lunch or dinner fare, I can however attest to their ability to cook a divine breakfast. The shrimp eggs Benedict was the best that I’ve ever had and I have literally had them all over the world. Perhaps it is because they have such a dedicated and loyal group of customers that allows them to keep their food prices down because their menu is affordable at anytime of day. It is an absolute must if you’re traveling through!
John St. Pierre
Very friendly waitstaff, a beautiful view of Jackson Square, well air-conditioned, rustic and full of character. I stopped by for breakfast and had the Eggs Stanley, which is basically Eggs Benedict with cornmeal-battered Fried Oysters. It was simply amazing. Portions were perfect and the price was about what you can expect for a French Quarter restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will be returning.
Nat Bell O knee
Good was really good. Soft shell crab was a little small. Server was not paying much attention to us. Another server got us refills and pre bussed our table
Cesar Arreozola
The breakfast is great the Boudain Crotteites are delicious. The shrimp poor boy is also very good. Kid friendly and we ateoutsideenjoyingtheFrench Quarter souns.
Christopher Szeto
The food is passable. I had the croquets. They're fine. The inside was cold, but whatever. Had the cornbeef hash breakfast. Way too salty. Remember: if it's in the quarter, it's probably a tourist trap.
Natalie Griego
DREX - awesome waiter! Food of course is excellent!! Compliments to the chef.
Thought we might have a ghost encounter!
Visit while on the square!!
Sir Dave
We didn’t wait for a table. service was fantastic. wish they put a bigger scoop of ice cream on the pancakes but otherwise a great breakfast!
cheebalu74
Great food, a must stop if you are in the area. Great views!
J Cockrell
Great food and great service. Ashley our waitress was friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely recommend.
Alex Wachenfeld
Great Service love the food definitely a prime spot.Gotta try the soft shell crab and the Ruben!!! Fried oysters for breakfast !!!!
Stephanie Willborn
This is a wonderful location. Great Bloody Mary. Perfect poached egg on my eggs Stella. The hash is big chunks vs shredded meat so a bit tougher than I prefer, but was still delicious.
Chris Sparks
Central spot, satisfactory food, inattentive server.
Linda Simonpietri
Got the crab cake & boudin benedict. The crab ones (restaurant & entree recommended by people we asked) were Excellent!! Both good. Their capuchinos were the best I think I've had. My spouse enjoyed it so much he ordered a second to go!!
Gerald Groskopf
Very nice place for breakfast The banana Foster French toast is the die for And their oysters and poached eggs make for an incredible breakfast
Sonia Merten
Was told the wait would be around 20-30 minutes. Ended up taking an hour and the three of us got seated at a tiny table barely big enough to accommodate our plates. That being said, we enjoyed our food and our server was friendly and kind. The bananas foster french toast was decadent and would satisfy any sweet tooth. Definitely a great choice. Bacon/cheese grits on toast are also a must. I also very much enjoyed the cajun breakfast potatoes. Great food, but be prepared to wait for it.
Kayla Holland
You will get a lot out of going to this restaurant. The scenery outside this place presents a lot of New Orleans terrain. The food was good. They would benefit from having more than one restroom stall for ladies. Our service was good. They were able to seat us before our 20 minute wait.
Joe Wallace
We really enjoyed brunch here. Lots of delicious riffs on eggs Benedict and some yummy cocktails! They call when your table is ready, so you can get a drink from the service bar next door and stroll the square while you wait.
Chef Deanna Park
Best oyster po boy and bloody Mary in the city!
#chefdeanna #achefsadventure
Melinda LaCaze
Fabulous breakfast and excellent service. Try the Breaux Bridge Benedict!!
Joe Sowul
This place is nice but wasn't a highlight of NOLA for me. The food was fairly good but our waiter might've been having an off day because service wasn't great and he really seemed to be struggling with their electronic system he was using to take our orders. The general consensus in my group was that the food was good but it's not hard to find better places nearby. The standard of great food in New Orleans is extremely high and for good reason - this city is known for its amazing cooking and Stanley didn't quite live up to that.
The bathroom was also strangely dark. The only light in there barely allows you to see where the toilet is.
Bree Babineaux
Delicious spot for breakfast in the square! It is always packed, so you may want to go early... or do what I do, which is put yourself on the wait list whenever you make it out of bed, and stroll around Jackson Square looking at art until a table is ready. I’ve tried a few different meals here and each one was yummy. It’s on the pricier side for breakfast but the portions are large and it’s in a great location.
Brett Fisher
This is absolutely the best breakfast I've ever had. The seafood platter had crab, oysters and shrimp over the best eggs benedict. Would highly recommend this place for brunch! Top notch Bloody Mary's as well. Kudos!
Sally Nguyen
We were greated with a warm welcome from the server. They were really accommodating with us and our baby stroller. We had their seafood egg Benedict and BBQ ribs as well as the gumbo. The Benedict was good but it was a bit pricey. The ribs barely had any meat but otherwise tasty. The gumbo was salty just like any other gumbo I guess. Pricing wise is average in the area but to us from out of town, it came quite a shock. It was good to try though.
Team Coleman (Harley & Jessica)
Always love coming here. The location is great and you feel like you're right in the heart of NOLA. Food is always great, ESPECIALLY after a night of drinking. Highly recommended and we will always come back to The Stanley
S M
Touristy joint with decent food and fast service. Servers checked in multiple times and kept topping off our coffees.
We sat on the patio, facing the square, and were enjoying people watching.
Edward Parks
I would give this restaurant 5 stars, but the only problem we really had was getting in to get a table was a bit difficult and the front entry way was easily jammed up. The staff here is great and friendly. Our waitress was really helpful and on top of us even with a packed building. The pancakes with bananas and cane syrup we're so good. A wait is worth it here, just make sure you get there a little early.
April Robison
Still sitting at the table. I wanted to make sure I didn't forget to write the review. Bloody Mary, on point! Bananas Foster french toast, decadent! Corned beef hash, savory! Service friendly and helpful! Love this place!
Nousheerwan Chaudhry
Amazing food !!
Mandy Watts
Had a wonderful early dinner here on a weeknight in August. Thoroughly enjoyed the gumbo with its soft french bread to soak up the last few bites with. Split a shrimp po boy sandwich with my sister which had great flavor, crispy battered shrimp, and a nice subtle spice to the sauce! The side of sweet potato fries were crisp and tasty also, not too salty. The servers were attentive and friendly. And the view of St. louis Cathedral and people watching in Jackson Square can’t be beat!
Vince Moore
A little pricey, but the location is great--you can watch the action on Jackson Square while having a good breakfast. The Creole potatoes are worth any price they put on them. Their breakfasts seem to be their forte. I haven't tried anything else there, but I've had several of their breakfasts and they are great. They serve Community Coffee (New Orleans Chicory Blend), and it's strong, fresh, and tasty. My experience has always been that the staff are friendly and know the menu backward and forward.
Susan Keenan
Breakfast was delicious and customer service is very good
Michelle Madigan
Amazing all-day breakfast right off Jackson Square. Banana Foster pancakes are all that!
S PJ
Peeps behind the bar were so friendly and welcoming!
Kendrick Wee
Located right at corner of Jackson square. Parking can be challenging. On street packing is about $3/hour. They have fried soft shell crabs which are fairly fresh. Ordered fried seafood items and they are at best average. I believe there are better food in New Orleans at this price range.
QFRIEND
The service, food, and price, we're well worth the visit. We had a great waitress, and I'm heading back to New Orleans the end of June 2018. I intend to stop back at the Stanley, especially for the chicory coffee. Which is obvious I enjoyed my first visit because I'm going back. I would visit it for a good breakfast.
Phillip Patterson
Stopped in twice during our weekend trip, so we enjoyed it enough to come back. Very good breakfast, friendly staff. Standard and unique breakfast items on menu. Had a 30 minute wait on Sunday around 9 am. They will text you when your table is ready, so you can walk around Jackson Square during the wait. The only gripe I have is I bought a cup of coffee from the Stanley service bar during our wait. They will not refill it in the restaurant. If you would like more coffee, you must purchase another coffee when seated.
Robert Gray
Food was nothing spectacular but was good. Very pricey for what it is. The service could be a little more friendly but all and all a good experience.
Kelsey G
Had a great breakfast at Stanley this morning. Wait staff and coffee were good.
Food was amazing. Definitely recommend the Creole Breakfast Potatoes. Their bacon is really good too.
The food is really good with great portions. Even though it's pricey for breakfast, the food is reasonably priced for what you get. It's good quality food.
Cari Castillo
This place is located in the popular Jackson square so it can be pretty busy. The food is good and so are the blood Mary but we have had a few issues with service. We understand wait times and food delays but I'm referring to waiters walking away while we are still ordering and even sighing at our request which was to add an extra order of fries.
Scott Messinger
We had the breakfast options that were served all day. Good food but not exceptional for the price. The staff was efficient and friendly. I was a little disappointed that the "creole potatoes" weren't any different than any other breakfast potatoes you get elsewhere (no unique spices or ingredients). It was the reason I ordered the meal, and had I known it wasn't unique, I would have had something else.
JR Rosales
Absolutely the best breakfast I've had in New Orleans this picture is the Eggs Stanley. I had the Breaux Bridge Benedict.
ct crowe
Wait was 25 minutes at 10am. Well worth it with delicious bananas foster french toast and crab cakes. Very busy but good eats.
Nicole Vasiliu
Straight up delicious. Great service, efficiency, and a great experience. Arguably the best meal we had in the city!
James Duplechian
We love the breakfast options here. We come every visit to New Orleans.
Tehlawos Treat
Was recommended this awesome place by my father-in-law and has to be the best breakfast I had the ENTIRE 4 days we were in the French Quarter. The eggs were so pretty that I didn't want to break them in order to eat! I have to say, insanely jealous that my poached eggs look NOTHING like that. Guess it is back to practicing for me!! 😃
Thank you soooo very much for making my anniversary breakfast the best 🤗
We will be back!!!
Bella Lewis
They were really busy, yet service was super fast. We got the Eggs Stanley and Bananas Foster French Toast. Both were delicious. While the French toast was sweet, it wasn't overly sweet. Highly recommend!
mike crabtree
Very good standard NOLA breakfast, good if you in a hurry, service good. If your looking for something a bit more upmarket Court of Two sisters is great with full buffet for about $10 per person more. But don’t get me wrong Stanley is good for both couples and families
Kim Oliver
Delicious food, great service!
Alexis Williams
Excellent food, drinks and service! The bananas foster French toast was to die for decadent!
Shannon Coe
The all windows, watch the cook, and sunlit views of Jackson Square made it a place I wanted to be. The food was definitely Nawlins type fare that didn't disappoint. My red beans and rice with sausage hot the spot on the hot summer day. My daughter ate ALL OF her shrimp salad - she never eats all of anything, especially a salad! The gumbo was on point too. Service was friendly, entertaining, and quick.
Brian S
Absolutely delish food! The Shrimp Po-Boy was on point! Fresh...... and the service was good! Location is killer... it's just off Jackson square. Plenty of action to watch out the front of the restaurant... lol. Next time we visit NOLA we would come back again for another lunch!
Kevin Nickel
We ate there on a Sunday at lunch time. It was fairly crowded but we only had a 10 minute wait and use that time to look at some other shops on Jackson Square. Nice Southern feeling and very friendly wait staff. They full menu of Southern Specialty drinks along with great local cuisine items. Arriving within minutes of ordering. Just at the edge of the French Quarter this is a great location for Taurus inside Sears.
Nicholas
Fantastic food and drinks here. The pancakes were AMAZING along with the mimosas. Honestly during my trip to New Orleans this was probably my favorite restaurant. Great environment combined with outstanding service and high quality food deserves a 5 star rating.
Gerald Wilson
The atmosphere is nothing special and can be loud, but the food is great (try the Breaux Bridge Benedict and add fried oysters!) and the prices are reasonable (for New Orleans). Convenient location in Jackson Square, fast service.
Kerline Hilaire
Food was very good..... also great service and food came out very fast.
Charnae Parker
omg absolutely love this place.I came there when i came down from Alabama to visit my family. It’s in the perfect location it made me feel like i was having breakfast at a cafe in Paris. The staff were amazing and had great customer service. Food was delicious.I can’t wait to back to visit.
Susan Harmon
Excellent soft shell crab! Our carriage driver recommended this place for po boys, but we weren't hungry enough. Clam, corn, potato, bacon chowder was excellent as well. Our server was not very talkative, but wouldn't hesitate to go back!
Lauren Suter
Place gets packed for breakfast. Food is delicious. French toast was on point, the Ruben was very good, not overly covered in dressing, which was nice. Service was really good, food came out quick, hot and fresh.
Be prepared to wait for a table tho.
Grant Damas
Fantastic food. If you're in the area, go here for breakfast. I got the Breakfast Seafood Platter and it couldn't have been more delicious. Also got the gumbo to share, you know, because why not? The service was great, and the bloody mary's were tasty.
