Great place! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about all the different cheeses and meats. The food was great. We got a meat/cheese board and was very pleased. While we didn't get the salad, we saw it and it looked great too. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I treated myself to a decadent evening out on my own at Cheese, Chocolate, and Champagne with the St. James Cheese Company downtown. I enjoyed savoring various cheeses curated by St. James Cheese Company as I learned about their origins, while nibbling on locally-made and limited-edition chocolates by Piety and Desire Chocolate, while sipping a selection of bubbly from Artisan Fine Wines. The event was sold out weeks ago and I wrote to Molly, the lead Cheese Monger to ask her to put me on a waiting list in case anyone canceled. And luckily for me, she rang my number and we made it happen. The restaurant at Tchoupitoulas is sunny and has a wonderful array of cheeses and other items to accompany them. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You cannot go wrong with any of the cheese selections here. Thrilled to have such a resource and such knowledgeable Cheese Mongers here in New Orleans!

Definitely check this place out! Lots of delicious things to buy and take home. I came and ordered a board of 5 items, and let them decide what cheese and meat I got. It was so delicious, and the person that brought it out to me explained what everything was. Also lots of gluten free options! I got gluten free crackers, and they had gf bread also for sandwiches. I wish I lived here so I could come more!

I had a work lunch here this week; never been here before. The cleanliness and atmosphere were the first two thi gs I noticed about this place. For being a restaurant close to the convention center, casino, and shopping, this place gives off a vibe of tranquility. I had the ham and brie sandwich without anything else. I did customize the sandwich by requesting fig jam to add some sweetness. Because it didn't already come with mustard, the meal was delicious. I need to visit again and try some more food.

This place is amazing a true gem, i stop by with my spouse and we really enjoyed it, the quality of their products it’s so good that my only advice do not hesitate ordering what you want, we had a sample of cheese plate and some prosciutto, plus wine and bread. If you enjoy cheese or charcuterie boards, this place is a must visit. They also have a great selection of salads and sandwiches. Fantastic cheeses and the hot muffaletta sandwich was delicious, it's a different take on a muffaletta but a good one. Pressed and toasted to crunchy perfection.

Cheese oh wonderful cheese. Such an amazing place. We had the grilled cheese, hot muffuletta and burrata toast. And the cheese plate. The Mac n cheese must be great because they were out! Lovely generous staff.

Came here because we saw it on Google maps. They did not disappoint. We did the pick 5 and a small Mac and cheese to share. We had just flown in so we decided to take it back to hotel. They packed everything so well with a separate back with bread and utensils tucked inside. It was so much food we ended up skipping dinner! The selections were delicious and portions were generous considering the quality of the cheeses and meats. This is not a place to pass over. Thanks for sharing your passion and skill!

Cute place. Lots of options of take home items/gifts. The cheese board was put together very beautifully with a pretty good selection of items. Most were pretty common but a couple things were different or new to us. Good for people just getting into trying something outside of plain cheddar or kraft. a quick, fun lunch. Delicious and impressive range of cheeses. Try the Mac and cheese and remember to get some bacon! My order got lost somehow, but with an honest apology, and a refund, one can gladly forgive them for that :)

Enjoyed the cheese plate where you have the option of either 3 cheese or 2 cheese one meat. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the product. I ordered a glass of house wine with the cheese board and the man who took my order said he would serve me whatever wine best complimented the plate. The plates change daily depending on the season and availability. The restaurant is super cute and clean inside and a great place to unwind.

Reallly clean and nice. The staff is helpful and polite. Prices for food are surprisingly cheap, the beverages are expensive. The salads are big and tasteful. Sandwiches a bit tasteless. Mac n cheese is good, not great. A bit cold inside. But overall a positive experience.

If you were ever going to cry tears of joy over food, then this is one of those places. Dairy is the main thing here. Cheese is the star on each plate. I’m Dutch and grew up with European quality cheeses, so to find a place like this, feels like I’ve died and gone to heaven. You can come here for a sit-down bite to eat, or grab your food to go, or just buy your cheese and take it home, which would be my weekly ritual if I lived here. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We enjoyed a two delicious sandwiches for lunch. Later, one of the kind ladies in the shop took the time to help us to pick out several cheeses. She took the time to explain the differences between each cheese and had us taste each one so that we could pick out just the right cheeses for us. This is definitely a unique place! This little restaurant has excellent and tasty selection of food. I tried their Hooks Cheddar sandwich, which comes with smoked turkey, fresh basil, tomato and avocado and mayo on fresh ciabatta and house salad. This sandwich was so delicious and fresh. I recommend this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood.

The perfect place for a midday snack of cheese. We asked the staff to surprise us and gave some of our likes and dislikes and they came through with a delightful mix of strong and creamy cheeses plus an assortment of wonderful accessories for the cheese like the AMAZING house-made cherry spread/jam, candied walnuts, figs and other little lovely things. Happy hour prices on the wines and bubbly really helped as well. If the weather is good I recommend sitting on the porch and watching the day go by.

Consistency is the key to longevity in New Orleans. St. James never disappoints and they’ve got a few of the best salads in the city. Their sandwiches are killer. And... CHEESE! Cheese is life.

We got the $10 cheese board. It was so good. Every cheese was a winner, the figs were delicious, and so were the candied pecans. Also, the jam was amazing and the wine was crisp and refreshing. Four people, so we ended up getting a second cheese plate of all different cheeses and different bread. It was awesome. Fun atmosphere too, you should go here. I will be back.

The food was absolutely incredible, however, the service was awful. Both girls working there were very rude, I asked for water with my meal and was never served any or told how to get it myself. When I asked the charcuterie girl for prices, she was annoyed and dismissive. I also thought the prices for the food quantity was high.

Interesting cheese and sandwich shop off the beaten path a bit in New Orleans. Everything is cheese centric and they have a wide variety of cheeses. I would consider this more of a lunch restaurant than a dinner place but is good for a quick casual meal whenever you are in the mood.

What an amazing little place! We stay right around the corner and finally tried this place after multiple walk bys. It can get busy for lunch, but WOW on the quality of food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood.

I deeply regret not taking a picture of my plate! Even though it was to go, it was still beautifully presented! I ordered a cheese plate, 3 items, and it came with mustard, preserves, candied figs, fresh strawberries, grapes, and lost of bread. I got brie, goat, and blue cheeses. It was all absolutely Devine and an entire meal on its own as portions were generous! I am so very happy we popped into St James Cheese Company. Oh! We stopped here after going to the WWII museum. It was a short walk. The menu has a lot of good options for both filling and lighter meals mostly consisting of sandwiches and cheese platters. The atmosphere was good. The food was tasty and there is a large selection of cheeses. Also, we had lunch there on a weekend and the line was short and moved quickly. Overall a very good experience!

Delicious!! If you love cheese, you should check this place out. Be sure to look into their happy hour specials on wine and cheese boards. I had their cold turkey sandwich (which was huge), as well as their macaroni and cheese (which was unique and so yummy). If you go for lunch, be sure to budget a little extra time, as it was pretty busy when we went and you stand in line to order at the register (but they also have a separate to-go checkout).

A bustling, casual spot with a wonderful menu! My husband and I stopped before going to the WW2 Museum and shared a Croque Monster( no egg) and side salad. GREAT food in a very pleasant setting, with friendly service. Their sandwiches are fantastic, as pretty much everyone agrees, but what is under appreciated are the side salads that come with them. Tossed with very tasty grated cheeses and yummy vinaigrettes, I truly enjoy them, even though I am not a salad or veggies person. If I had this place nearby where I live, I’d eat more healthy! :-) In any case, a must-stop on my future trips down to NOLA.

Great place for lunch! I had the Hooks Cheddar sandwich and my husband had the Mozzarella sandwich. Both were fantastic. Very fresh tasting. We also got a charcuterie board during Happy Hour, what a great deal! Expect higher prices for sandwiches, but keep in mind you are paying for high quality ingredients. Sandwiches are also huge!

Great place for lunch. I ordered a brie and ham sandwich on a baguette. It was very good and was real food, nothing processed ya know. They also serve beer all day which was nice because I was just killing time. You walk in and grab a menu, then order at the counter and take a seat. They then bring your food to your table when it is ready. Very cool little place with high end cheeses and 'fancier' menu items.

I stopped in here for a quick lunch before catching a ride to the airport. It did not disappoint. I ordered the Ploughmans Lunch, because I was worried about the portion size. However, this one meal could have easily been shared by two people. The quality and portion size, makes for a great value for the money. I will look forward to returning here!

A bit pricey but its close to work and has some really good, fresh sandwiches. There's also, unsurprisingly, a good selection of cheeses and cheese board accessories. The portions are fairly generous so unless you're starving you're likely to leave with a little bit of food leftover.

This is the perfect place to share good food with good company. All of the selections they offer are approachable, but they often surprise with little known or never heard of gems. They making amazing sandwich’s, honestly would say one of my favorite restaurants in NoLa. For anyone looking to step away from the heavy fried/sweet/salty selection of usual foods. Great cheese. Great menu (which is mostly focused on cheese). Great presentation. For the Brits out there, the Ploughman's lunch will take you back home. I ate lunch here three times while attending a conference at the convention center (a four block walk) - by the end of the week everyone had heard of the place and the line was out the door. You order at the cashier and then find a table which can be a challenge when it's busy. The wines I tried were very good. The cheese and pâté seem to vary from day to day - for the selection items on the menu you get to choose the cheese but you'll do well if you let them choose the cheeses for you - they have good taste and know their cheeses.

We were heading to Revelator to get coffee when we noticed that St. James cheese company offered a weekend brunch. The coffee was great and the incorporation if artisinal cheeses into brunch dishes are great. If you are in New Orleans on the weekend I would recommend this place.
