I came here with a bunch of friends in June 2021, visiting from Minnesota! Oh my gosh!! This place totally surpassed my expectations of how I thought a seafood boil would be! It was sooo so good. I loved the psychedelic crab claws! They were super cute and fun to eat. The presentation of the appetizers was gorgeous. The seafood boil itself was a wonderful experience. Good company makes a night fun, but amazing food makes the night even better! Everything was perfectly seasoned, and I loved every I ate. The snow crab legs especially. I took a poboy to go (it was the awarded one, I think), and even after 2 days of sitting in a fridge, 23 hours in a cooler on the drive home, and then another 12 hours, it was delicious. I can only imagine how wonderful it would've been if I ate it fresh. The staff here was so nice as well! We talked for a bit as they were closing up, and they gave me some iced tea to go. I love this place, and I think about it a lot. I can't wait to visit again!

Always a favorite for boiled or fried seafood. Do not overlook their specialties such as the totem pole and the volcano. The pictures dessert was my birthday lagniappe. Fried strawberry bread pudding. Needs to be tried to be believed.

You probably only know about this place if from east bank ( Harahan). If not from here you need to go. Lots of outdoor seating. Get for families. Parking is a little tight since in residential area. Food was great. Eggplant and crabmeat was good…cooked a little too much for me but still very good. We are outdoors and called ahead too make sure we had a table. Music was a one man band. Service was great and pretty fast for the amount of people there. Great place…will go back.

One of my favourite meals of my trip to New Orleans. Really delicious food, fair prices and no pretentiousness. It’s Cajun seafood with and Asian twist and generous portions. I really loved the Kung Fu Tuna which featured seared tuna, avocado and crab meat.

Firstly, if you cant find parking in the front you have to go to the back of the restaurant. Upon walking through the shells of the oysters I was puzzled because no one greeted me. I had to make awkward eye contact with the girl. The waitress was super nice and helpful, I ordered the oyster poboy and Kung fu tuna. For $16 for a small piece of bread and loaded fried oyster is quite pricey. The oyster was not fresh, tasted frozen. They seasoned only with pepper and salt. The Kung fu tuna tasted like a poke bowl but with mixed lettuce variety at the bottom. The tuna tasted frozen too. But the imitation crab meat was decent. I would go back and try the seafood platters but possibly not the poboy.

This restaurant is located in what appears to be a residential area. We sat outside because the indoor dining area was a little crowded to our liking. We had the seafood platter, the Volcano, and a poboy. Food taste good. I will go back to try the crayfish boil when its in season.

Order the hamper. It comes with crawfish, shrimp, Alaskan crab legs, blue crabs, corn and potatoes. It is hands down the best boiled seafood you will get anywhere and during Mardi Gras they have the best bread pudding you will ever put in you mouth.

Amazing crawfish and the rock and roll po boy was the best po boy I had while visiting New Orleans. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to when I am back in town!

Food was great. Had a lot of different options. Had The Volcano, very different. They have both outdoor and inside seating. Also had the Key Lime Pie for dessert. Fantastic-was expensive but you get a whole mini pie so it's definitely shareable. If I had one negative it would be parking. Their lot is tiny but there's open areas out back of the restaurant.

Got to the restaurant at 7:30 (they close the kitchen at 8pm) but they still served us! Ordered both the fried and boiled seafood platters to split with my step daughters. Both were worthy of 4.5 stars. Lots of good food. Boil seemed a bit muted in some pieces. And the fried softshell left to be desired as it tasted mostly of batter. Thank you for the great time and will be visiting again in the near future! I LOVE the family meal share settings!

The hamper is some of the best seafood you can get. It has everything: snow crabs, whole blue crabs, crawfish, shrimp,mushrooming, carrot slices, and a lot of it. Great eating. 👍

Wow! Great food. We got the Delacroix Nachos (an incredible seafood, asian blend on nachos) and Seither's Special plate (fish, oysters, soft shell crab and shrimp). Without a doubt we'll be back! The staff was great too. Best food for the money we had on our trip.

This is a phenomenal little spot! My wife ordered the Seafood Volcano which is an inverted taco bowl shell filled with crabmeat, shrimp, and tuna and it is topped with avocado, lettuce, and a creamy sauce. I ordered the Kung Fu Tuna Po Boy which was a fantastic experience! It was a little heavy on the sauce which was a combination of hoisin sauce and a spicy mayonaise but the flavors were great. The tuna was absolutely delicious! We got a pound of crawfish to share between us and even though we got them at the end of the season, they were very well seasoned and sweet! It did not disappoint!

My husband and I shared the Venice Crab Trap Past and it was fenominal! Some of the best seafood we've ever eaten! Great service and awesome downhome atmosphere. I highly recommend this place! I saved the fried shrimp for lunch ch the next day!

Las Vegas JROD visit!! 6/22/21! After watching Diner, Drive Ins, and Dives, we made it to this awesome place for food! We ordered half the menu, lol, the Volcano, the Totum Pole, the Hamper, the Red Snapper, and the Volcano. I gotta say I have not liked Crawfish but Wowzers this place made me like them. From the Seared Tuna to the crab and all the fish I ate. Massive amount of love put into this food. The best of all was I got to meet Jason Seither, great hearted soul, full of joy seeing his customers love his food!! Seithers Seafood we miss you and see you again one day!! The best food of all New Orleans!!

My wife ordered deconstructed sushi turned nachos! And I ordered 5 lb of boiled crawfish. My crawfish was well cooked and juicy and easy to peel and seasoned about medium spice. Delicious and I eat everything. My wife's nachos were honestly sushi ingredients put on top of nachos and absolutely amazing!

We had the Rock & Roll Poboy, which was loaded with shrimp, and the special for the night, a corn grits with soft shell crab, asparagus, and I think pork? Absolutely delicious. Service was amazing, appetizer (crab claws) was amazing, food was hot and quick, and the bill was appropriate. Can't wait to go back to try more!

Was a small place that had great seafood. We had a group of 18 that showed up on the spot and they were able to accommodate us. The po-boy was great. Some of our party had "The Hamper" with over 6 pounds of seafood and loved it. I would go back if we visit the area again. Their parking lot was made up of oyster shells which was really neat.

Tried this place out for the first time with my best friend Donna! We were helped by both Sara & Courtney. Service was great & we will definitely be going back. With assistance from Sara Donna had the shrimp platter, then I got the Fish platter and some fresh boiled crayfish. Flavor of everything was great. Try their fries that come with the platters. They take the little red potatoes & make them into fries. Was better than French fries! We got enough food both of us brought some home for leftovers & I'm looking forward to eating them for supper tonight. Thank you Sara & Courtney for making the experience Donna & I received so good we will be returning! We liked everything we tried & shared plates. I imagine the rest if the food is just as good. Plus, they had a live band going outside the whole time we were there on the mini-stage. Wasn't expecting that! One guy was playing some kind if metal washboard hanging from his neck so that was cool. Only seen that in movies before.

Sushi Meets Seafood! I can't say enough good things about this place. It is great! So fresh & always new items based on what's biting on the fishing pole that day! If you are a fan of sushi and Louisiana seafood, this will be your new favorite restaurant. The oysters are humongous. The shrimp and crawfish are always seasoned perfectly. I like the volcano & the deep fried pineapple upside down bread pudding. Holy Cow was that good!!!!! It's a must have. Even if you think you can't do dessert. Take it home. You will thank me later! I have to say this place has set a new standard for me when I comes to seafood boils. The seasoning used is incredible, the seafood is fresh, the atmosphere is friendly. I regret not picking up a jar of the Amped-up seasoning before leaving, but I did find a place that sells it and was willing to send to my home in Illinois. Definitely a place I will return to when I'm back in town!

How could I forget to post a review on THIS joint? I was here about two weeks ago. Everything was outstanding. My appetizer was Shrimp OMG, lightly battered, rolled in sauce and so delicious! Next, I ordered 1 lb of boiled shrimp, but it seemed like a pound and a half. Fresh shrimp, too. Now, for the oysters … those guys were so big it wasn’t funny. Probably the largest gulf oysters I’ve ever had, and I’ve had my fair share. The service was TOP NOTCH and I’m heading back there in about an hour. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

I got the hamper, a fried platter, and a few buckets of beer. The boiled seafood flavor was fine. The crabs and crawfish weren't too fresh. The shrimp and snow crab were good. Flavor isn't very strong. The fried platter was ok. The service could use a bit of work. They weren't very attentive

Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive Inns, and Dives featured this place in a NOLA episode and it does not disappoint. Fishing camp vibe on the outside with live bands some nights but fine dining quality food on a medium budget. Stopped in for a late lunch and Chef Jason Seither and his Wife were most accommodating. His Poboys have won many best awards at Poboy fest and did not disappoint with fried shrimp and avocado drizzled with asian sauces! He makes his own seasonings (blackened, and crawfish boil) and sauces (including eel sauce and spicy mayo) and has a way of marrying sushi umami with cajun and New Orleans seafood cooking styles and flavors that is second to none. He even kicked out some boiled crawfish, and I haven't tried any better in South Louisiana. Perfectly tasty and spiced. Finished it off with Mardi Gras Bread Pudding - white chocolate blueberry stuffed New Orleans french bread with purple, green and gold sweetness on top. This place is a true treasure and has ridiculously good food!

The most unique and creative seafood experience I have ever had! It's modern but the ambiance is strait old school new Orleans style seafood cafe'. Live music out door venue great service. The best bread pudding experience i have ever had! Going back next weekend!

Amazing food and service!! Saw this on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Glad we stopped! This was the first time my wife and I had ever had a seafood boil from Louisiana. The waitress was really nice, and explained how to crack open the crawfish. We ordered a platter called the “Hamper”that had a ton of crawfish, shrimp, and snow crab legs! I mean seriously we couldn’t believe how big it was. I had leftovers for two days. The flavoring of the boil was so amazing, and the spice was very well balanced. I’ve seen some reviews of people saying the decor is sort of old and rundown, and I would like to say to them, get over yourself, because this place is known to be amazing not just by tourists but by locals as well.

Food is 5 stars, service 4 stars but parking brings it down a notch. Since my initial view, I have made this one of my favorite places do to 2 things: 1st, I discovered parking lot in the rear, 2nd as I am retired I can eat a later lunch and get parking in the front easily enough. Jason and his team are usually on point. Today they weren't. The shrimp seemed old, like they had been cooked previously and put back into the boil to warm them up but also it toughened them up and made them nearly inedible. The Crawfish were straight garbage. They tasted muddy with a deep gray color with a really funky aftertaste. The boiled crab was good. My wife enjoyed the snow crab. Everyone has an off day... today it was Seither's turn. My wife is going to send me to do a test run solo before she will return.

Today was my first time dining at Seither’s. The weather was brutally cold. There was a little bit of a wait to dine in, but the wait staff continuously alerted us of how much longer the wait would be. They even gave us 2 free appetizers and an amazing dessert- DEEP FRIED KING CAKE BREAD PUDDING- because we had to wait. Our waitress, Leslie, was phenomenal.Boiled crawfish were great, and fried seafood was delicious. Service was 10/10. We will be back soon! Thanks again!

We picked up takeout this evening an hour ago. Eggplant harissa and the fried crabclaw app, and two po boys: the rock n roll and the bbq shrimp w andouille. Had to stop ourselves and put it away at the halfway mark. Huge portions. Deliciously tingly-spicy sauces. I cannot wait to be hungry again at breakfast so we can eat up the leftovers. There was a band playing outside and a full house. Tip the waitstaff profusely for working in this heat, y'all!

The waitresses are polite and skilled, but they are definitely real New Orleans. You probably wouldn't stop here if you did not know, but don't be deceived. Hands down the best seafood restaurant in the entire New Orleans Metro Area. Everything is cooked to perfection and served with style. I have so many menu favorites it’s hard to decide what to order. I’ll admit I have been known to order 2 or 3 entrees and bring them home for later. So good!!!

This place is amazing!! Featured on Flavortown USA and Guy Fieri's Diners, Dives, and Drive Ins.... be sure to check it out! Super local! We had the fried crab claws, fried shrimp po boy (OMG!!), the eggplant and softshell crab tower, shrimp and corn bisque, tuna and avocado salad, and the whole fried flounder.... and everything was AMAZING! Great service. Live music. Would not recommend the pasta... very basic... there are way better things on the menu.

Seither's offers a good selection of tasty seafood dishes. While most of the menu items are fried, there are at least a few on the rather brief menu that are blackened. Everything seemed a little pricey, but you pay for fresh anywhere you go, and this place knows fresh. The first hint is the fishing boat you have to go around to get from the rear parking lot to the door. Then there's the substantial hill of oyster shells just beyond the boat. The dining room is casual, rustic, and bordering on cramped, but the service is prompt and friendly. Yeah, I'll go back again.

Had lunch here on sept 13 2019 and it was Amazing! There were 4 ladies in our group and all agreed the food was perfect! Recommend Nachos and softshell crab but seriously you can't go wrong with any of the menu choices! This is one of my personal favorite seafood joints in GNO. It's well worth the 20 to 30 minutes out of the city. The Crawfish are tasty, the oysters are perfectly salty and good to the last slurp. The blackened tuna melts in your mouth. It's hard to get any better than this. They deserve every award they've received. Go here if you get the chance. Heads up the restaurant is small and the seating is limited.

The blue crab was beautifully seasoned, the crawfish rangoon special was outstanding, and the Delacroix nachos with crab salad, blackened fish, and shrimp was amazing! Dessert was deep fried blueberry white chocolate bread pudding. It didn't look look anything much, but wow, it was delicious!

One of the best seafood places I have been to period. If you like seafood without the frills this is the place to go. Dive bar atmosphere with simply the best seafood around. Crawfish were fresh out of the boil and they were outstanding with great spice. Oysters were cold and fresh as was the beer. Service was outstanding as the guy who shucked our oysters and served us kept us entertained the whole meal. If you ever visit New Orleans area and want great seafood you have to go to this place. 2nd best part (first is quality of meal) is they are very reasonable with prices. Will make it my first stop from now on after I land in New Orleans.

A little on the expensive side, but they've got some really great menu items inspired by sushi and other Asian cuisine. The space itself is a bit cramped, however. Also rather than a hostess taking your name while you wait for a seat, you're expected to right your name and number of people on this board outside. The board is pretty nondescript and I saw the hostess point it out several times. Seems like it would be more efficient to just have the hostess take your name.

This is your place for an authentic New Orleans seafood experience. We ordered the 6lb boil which included crab, shrimp (which were a little overcooked, but still delicious), crayfish, corn and potatoes. It was $30 for everything and worth it! It had that perfect creole kick you look for in a seafood boil. With our boil we received a remoulade sauce that paired nicely with everything. A casual dive seafood restaurant with an oyster bar next door, this place a hidden gem just outside the bustling streets of the French Quarter. With quality service, constantly filled waters, and efficient food delivery we will definitely be back.

What can I say about this place? OMG! Everything at Seither's is delicious! They are located on Hickory Avenue in Harahan. Their restaurant is small and easy to miss so you have to keep your eyes open. But this restaurant is worth visiting. Everything is delicious and HUGE! I got their ceviche appetizer which was dynamite. They have huge softshell crabs and an oyster bar as well. The staff there is courteous with great attitudes. Go to Seither's and I guarantee that you will be happy that you did.

Seither's is a typical-looking, neighborhood seafood joint in Harahan, Louisiana. The interior is decorated with a tropical decor. We ordered a child's shrimp plate ($5.99) and a Special Entree (seafood platter) for $24.99, splitting it three ways. Also, we ordered two extra side salads ($2.99 each). The salads were big and delicious, and the seafood platter was large, perfectly fried, and well seasoned. The soft-shell crab, butterfly shrimp, fried fish (trout, I think), and fried oysters were all delicious. Various plates that other tables ordered also looked to be equally delicious. We thought it was most excellent and strongly recommend Seither's! RJT

I wanted to not like this place because it's a seafood restaurant and always has as long as I've known and now they have Japanese style apps that you'll usually find at a sushi restaurant. We got the kung fu tuna I think it was called, shrimp poboy, and seithers seafood platter. Me and the girlfriend both lived the kung th tuna. I'm not a fan of snow crab but my god was it good it tasted fresh and had a slight spice it was delicious ill defiantly order again. The girlfriend said the shrimp poboy was good it was small for the price but then again it was overstuffed. The seafood platter was mine it was alright the soft shell tasted properly cleaned and was just so good. I only got 2 fried oysters which was disappointing -1, usually you get catfish And I believe they gave me drum When I think of specials i think of them costing around $10 but the special they had was $25 smh nooo ill pass But staff was friendly There was plenty of joking going on by the oyster bar which I enjoyed Would be had pictures but I ate it to fast but I do recommend a try especially their Japanese style apps

Everytime I visit New Orleans, I make sure to find my way to Seithers. Their boiled seafood is some of the best in New Orleans and their prices are always very reasonable. Their poboys are great and the appetizers are pretty good too, but it's definitely the kind of place you go to to pop crawfish after crawfish until you hate yourself.
