Reviews of Seaworthy
Heidy Medina
I admit we came to a seafood restaurant for a burger. The burger was delicious - just a bit too much cheese so felt a little overwhelming and heavy. Otherwise a really great burger. The pork belly appetizer was also delish and there were great cocktail options. The upstairs restaurant decor was rustic and lovely - completely won me over.

Stopped by the place without doing much research ahead of time and had no regrets. The oysters were super fresh and creamy. The drinks were well balanced - holy water is a must try.

Delicious!! We really enjoyed happy hour here on Christmas Eve. The bartender and staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We had 2 dozen of the gulf oysters, and the pork belly. The oysters were to die for! The bartender mixed us a special eggnog drink that was delicious, and we had the mulled wine and hot buttered rum for dessert. We loved it so much, we are bringing the whole family back for dinner on Tuesday. Looking forward to it!

I found out about this place after visiting Grand Banks in New York City. I'm from LA, and hadn't discovered Seaworthy until that trip. Made it a point to come check out their restaurant in NOLA, and it did not disappoint one bit! Hands down, the best oysters I think I've ever had in my life. It was hard to not order a bunch more, because we had already also ordered entrees. Their happy hour deal(s) are pretty nice, too! Cocktail was delicious, perfect balance of alcohol and mixer, so not too strong but not too mixed down. Non-alcoholic "cocktails" were tasty, too. Other entrees we tried: the mussels and scallops. Both were delicious! Would say the mussels are almost like an appetizer, but the scallop dish is definitely filling. Can't wait to go back, and tell others about this place, too! Also, our waiter was great, and the hostess was so sweet.

Atmosphere was perfect for Hubby and I, dimmed lighting, casual, not too noisy or crowded. The Old fashioned was 🙌🏽🙌🏽. ROYAL MIYAGI oysters were wonderful and just as described. Can't wait to go back and try them all.
Nicoletta de Rege
Stopped by as this oyster bar as a trusted friend recommended it - oh man, I was not disappointed! The wild gulf oysters were out of this world tasty! And to top it off, we came during happy hour so everything was half off - what a steal! Highly recommend popping in and checking this spot out.

Cool layout and decor, had a little courtyard in the back and side patio under cover. Excited when we looked at the menu and didn’t realize there was happy hour so if you want oysters come early for half off!
Unfortunately our server walked up after a short wait and had a wonderful “do you want something?” with a stare and no customer service.. continued throughout the evening with minimal interaction and slow service with no focus on our table.
Real bummer since the food was delicious, fried shrimp were super light and fresh, French fries were perfect and great flavor. Scallop entree was overpriced for 3 scallops and the grits were a bit overdone for me but as a whole everything was balanced and flavorful.

Place was phenomenal for oysters. Also got the whole fried fish, was also very yummy. Would definitely come here again for the grilled oysters.
Gordon Mitchell
We fell upon Seaworthy luckily and we were the better for it. FRESH oysters, great cocktails, tremendous service, and a space that encourages a good time. We stayed far longer than we had anticipated and ate more oysters than we could have imagined. We shall return on our next visit to the Big Easy, guaranteed.

Awesome place for food and drinks with a great atmosphere and fun staff! KB took excellent care of me at the bar, and the happy hour drink specials were great. Charbroiled oysters are delicious!!!

We decided to come here for Coolinary Month & it was a GREAT decision. One of the best parts we liked about this place is that they make MOCKtails; since we aren't big on alcohol. We had a great experience; it was a little loud for our liking, but that's not the restaurant's fault. We enjoyed the Oysters Flight, Watermelon Salad, Little Gem Salad, Pork Belly, Crab Dip & the delicious Mussel's & Scallops.
We have to give it up to the Scallops & all the different Oysters; the freshness of the seafood was mind-blowing!

A co worker and I went here for a late evening dinner. They asked for a reservation and unfortunately we didn’t have one yet they still sat us luckily. The server was nice and prompt and it didn’t take too long to receive our order. The music was a bit loud for the evening but perhaps that’s just the ambience they’re going after. I’d come here again for their food and dessert.
Katie Brewster
Romantic atmosphere, definitely date-night worthy. While the overall menu is $$$, the 1/2 priced oysters and $2 charbroiled oysters (along with the $8 punch of the day) made the happy hour a can’t miss
Alex A
This place never disappoints with it’s amazing happy hour. They have at least four different kinds of oysters from three coasts; Gulf, east and west. A pro tip is to sit right at the bar so the shuckers can slide the tray of oysters straight to you.

We were visiting new orleans on foot so it was a bit of a walk but totally worth it. When the receptionist took us to the table I was like, where is she taking us....because we were going past the bar and the tables...and I didn't really feel like seating outdoors. Then we sat here, which I found so pretty!! We shared the Gulf fish dish which was different from the fried foods and it was soooo good. We enjoyed bunch of oysters also
Amaris Mohammed
Recommended by hotel staff but meal was bland, overpriced and server was nonchalant. Snapper looked yummy but tasted like unseasoned, raw fish dipped in hot oil for too long. We do not waste food so we ate the fish.. by force, by fire.
Samantha H.
Hands down one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. I can't even begin to describe how amazing their food is. Make sure you add this place to the top of your list of places to check out while in New Orleans.
Maxine Gordon
Seaworthy was fabulous. The best chargrilled oysters I have ever had. Scallops were delicious. Watermelon and tomato salad! The chef came to our table and we were able to congratulate him on our outstanding meal. I highly recommend Seaworthy.
Vivien Rivera
Everything was delicious; staff are sweet! Great selection of oysters and the gumbo is super flavorful and tasty. Didn't expect the Holy Water to arrive on fire; wondering what other surprises the cocktail menu contains.
Drew Peddie
Excellent oyster bar. They had dozens of different kinds to try on the menue and all the ones we had were fresh and nicely prepped. Also had the grilled scallops which were full of flavour as well as the lobster roll which was out of this world. Our server Deedee was great. It's a little on the pricier side however, due to the quality and flavour of the food and cocktails I think it's worth it.
Vanessa Troupe
Our waiter was very nice and patient. Helped me to order the right oysters to try (had only had cooked ones prior). Highly recommend stopping here for happy hour or dinner.
Had a Christmas mixed drink that was a special and it was great!
Angel Rodriguez
Staring with the enter to the way out super service 100%. Oysters are fresh and the happy hour can be better. The Pork Belly go for it it melt in your mouth, perfect cook fries and shrimp forget about it. The punch cocktail is awesome. Nice atmosphere to hang out.
K R Barron
An excellent oyster and seafood bar! Oysters are fresh and the happy hour specials are amazing. Cocktails are well-crafted and well-suited for the cuisine. I've been here several times and I will definitely return!
Robin Weaver
Amazing oysters!! Great drinks!! Great service!! Prices a little high even during Happy Hour.
Lacie Wentzel
We found this place a year ago, and we come back every time we come to New Orleans! Highly recommend the bright side oysters and the toasted artisanal bread with anchovy butter. Happy Hour is from 4-6! Always ask for their daily punch!!
Darlene Higgins
I was so excited about going to this place as they serve oysters from my home province of Prince Edward Island in Canada.....but....the waiter totally ruined this experience for us even though the food was excellent! I can't remember the last time I did not give a tip as my brother is a waiter and we know what it's like. We ordered a half dozen gulf oysters as an appetizer and I ordered the Seafood Gumbo and my husband ordered the fish (grouper) and fries. We waited and waited and even joked that they were cooking our raw oysters...then our entree's came out....we told them that we hadn't received our oyster appetizers yet so she started to take our meals back to the kitchen....we stressed that we'd not just want them to be kept warm under a heat lamp but .... our waiter then brought our oysters that were obviously ready and really delicious but no apology at all for negletting to bring them earlier. Sure enough when our meals came out, they were the same ones heated under a heat lamp...my husband's fish was still hot but the fries were cold.....we asked our waiter to bring salt and pepper for my husband's meal but that didn't happen until I asked the bartender for it ... he had to then get our waiter to bring them but by then the meal was almost all gone. The oysters and food (albeit kept warm) was excellent and we planned to come back for happy hour oysters tomorrow but we'll go somewhere else instead.... I can't believe how one person could ruin our experience....I know staffing is a problem but Quentin certainly is not your star employee.
J.T. Rawls
One of the most fantastic dining experiences in New Orleans. Wonderful staff and even better oysters. The oyster selection will keep you coming back.
Steve Selak
We had a fantastic meal last night. Light and very fresh. Lots of NOLA flavor with an eye on healthy. Can’t remember the new chefs name. He was from NY and super friendly. I would go back there in a heartbeat. I had the red fish collars and ceviche. My wife had the oyster chowder and Kale salad. We consider ourselves pretty savvy eaters and this is one of the most unique places we have ever eaten. Give it a try. This place deserves your attention
Glodine Frusti
Staff? Incredible. Lobster roll- to die for. Fried Shrimp- bury me in it. Charbroiled or fresh oysters...can't go wrong. What a feast we had! *chef's kiss*
Allen Green
Fantastic place for an intimate evening! Wonderful oysters! Try the Holy Water cocktail, if just for the gram. Fun selection of beers. Don't skip the Shishito peppers! Would recommend the Japanese whiskey with apricot as a dessert. If you want a traditional dessert, the creme fraishe cheesecake is delightful. Get a burger to go and thank me later.
Amy Davis
Such a rustic, romantic, and cozy atmosphere. We got the crab dip, tuna app, brassica salad, a selection of raw oysters, burger, and fried fish sandwich. Everything was truly very delicious and tasty. This is an awesome happy hour or small plates and drinks spot. Staff is excellent. Will be back!
Kyra Williams
Low key hidden gem in NOLA. We found out about this place because I was looking at their NYC locations, saw their was one in New Orleans so we made it a must on our list. Happy hour here is fantastic with great drink specials and $1 gulf oysters!!!! I highly recommend.
Sommer Bordelon Williams
I love the atmosphere, the drinks and the raw oyster selection. Definitely recommend the Holy water.
Seti Hamalian
We enjoyed every aspect of our dinner meal. We tried the ceviche trio. Each plate was full of its distinctive flavor. The spicy shrimp one voted as the best of a competitive field. From their lengthy selection, we tried five different types of oysters. Yummy. As a main, the peel and eat your own shrimp dish was amazing with an incredible balance of flavors. Easy to dig in with your fingers. We were seated on the cozy second floor. Hostess and servers were polite and professional. Will repeat.
Claire Mahon
Best oyster happy hour in NOLA! Plus, $8 cocktails and friendly bartenders
Hamish Roberts
Awesome spot. Great lively atmosphere with amazing cocktails and a superb selection of oysters. Come for Happy hour - you won’t be disappointed!!
Tiffany Anderson
I will preface this by saying I do not eat seafood. If you need recommendations regarding their seafood, scroll on down. For a restaurant best known for an extensive oyster menu, two carnivores became huge fans! We ordered the With the Candlestick (raspberry French 75) and a Sazerac. Both were absolutely delicious and if you were only to order drinks here, you'd leave happy. We ordered the pork belly and the burger. The pork belly was delightful and two orders wouldn't have been enough. Only sheer will power kept us from ordering more! The burger was cooked to medium perfection. Do not hesitate to go to Seaworthy! It's an ideal spot for dates and a great find for guests who aren't seafood inclined.
Ruth Sommers
Oyster happy hour may be one of the best things I discovered! The oysters were INCREDIBLY fresh, with an amazing flavor. I’d also recommend trying whatever their featured cocktail is, it’s sure to be good.
Jess Poshepny Vallery
Excellent little restaurant just outside of the French quarter. They have a daily menu, late night and oysters until 1-2am.
The burger is TO DIE for! Juicy, fresh, super tasty.
Ceviche, Brussels sprouts, popcorn shrimp - all delicious. They have beers on draft and in bottle. They have a full bar. Wines by the glass and bottle.
There are oysters from all over the US - east and west coast and the gulf. Lots of variety. This place is dynamite.
Excellent service as well.
A J
Great tasting raw oysters, decent happy hour selection and kind servers! Only wish they had more gulf coast oyster varieties to try.
Connie Martindale
Fantastic brunch options! Our server, Corey was very knowledgeable and friendly. He taught me oyster eating etiquette which I appreciated. The crab cake and Chili relleno were both amazing! Highly recommend this!
Brian Won
Lovely patio and great oyster selection. Drinks were solid too. Friends loved the burger, the seafood roll (Seaworthy roll) was pretty good- although it wasn't quite chilled and it definitely wasn't hot, so not quite sure if that was the intent?
Just wish they had explained the oysters choices better; 9 kinds without explanation meant full enjoyment was a bit elusive.
Thomas Krajewski
The location is in a great spot, the building itself is impressive and the authentic nature can be seen even to the uneven original floor boards. We were upstairs in the front room at a small table, the service was adequate but not over the top. 2 of the 3 beers I attempted to order they didn't have because "our taps are all mixed up"- they had 3 beers on draft.
The room we were in was cacophonous, it made conversation difficult.
The food was good but for the price the portions left one wanting, I had the gulf coast roll and it was good but not great. Probably the best part of the meal were the brussel sprouts. I'd eat here again if friends insisted but there are too many great restaurants nearby to endure a mediocre meal.
Emee Hendrickson
A friend recommended Seaworthy when we were going to New Orleans, and I could not be more grateful. The location is a short walk from the French Quarter in the CBD. The ambiance is nautical done right. The selection of fresh oysters was amazing, with all three coasts represented. The crab claws and the peel and eat shrimp are two dishes not to be missed. I’m already dreaming of going back!

Really enjoyed my experience here. A date and I were hungry relatively late (past 12:00 PM) and wanted something quality to eat. We went late and got sat in a really cute booth. This is a small space so you are likely going to be packed in close to neighbors at other tables, enough for conversations to not necessarily remain quiet. The food was really good and the gap was bridged from creative appetizers to standard fare done right and defy quality. Drinks and service were also on point. Like to send out a warning that it is in the upper echelon of price points with late night dining, be expected to drop a little more on this experience but it is completely worth it.
Steven Rice
Classy yet not pretentious spot. It is best you do make reservations, however. All of their seafood is great. The ambiance is magnificent, and reminds me of Cuba. The service is solid, though they could use another member to expedite the speed. The drinks are tasty, too. Check it out.
Tee Ayyy
Been here multiple times. Even in the height of 2020 chaos they had it down. I absolutely love their oysters!
Elizabeth Barringer
Favorite place for oysters anywhere!! Great variety and staff is knowledgeable about all the different types they have. Cozy vibe. Excellent cocktails, also!
Steve P
Shout-out to Akua who made my group's visit one to remember. Reservations will be needed here as it gets busy, but with great reason. The fresh oysters here are such a step above many of the other options in NO. They had varieties from all over the States; pink moons, Irish points, you name it. All varied and all fantastic. Cocktails here are also very special and they all seem to pair well with the oysters too. The charbroiled oysters here were also great, second to Acme in our opinion. The backyard garden dining area is exceptionally curated and designed and makes a perfect situation for families, couples, or coworkers catching a few after work beverages. That said, the inside of Seaworthy and even the rear is not the largest space; so it's nice and intimate but a reason for assuring you have a reservation. Could not find a single thing to complain about here.
Lauren Kallen
Seaworthy was such an incredible spot. Ate there at lunchtime on Christmas Day and it was delicious. Staff were super friendly and helpful, cocktails were on point, and the food was A+. Highlights were the gulf roll, oysters, and popcorn shrimp. If you’re a seafood or cocktail fan, make sure you check this place out. Beautiful interiors too!
Meg Schneider
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! We made an outdoor reservation weeks prior for my parents 50th anniversary and the day of it ended up being pretty cold. I called and they told me right away they moved us inside to a great table! The service from start to finish from the manager to our server and all the staff was excellent! The food was amazing and they even made some special grilled cheeses for my younger sons who wouldn't eat oysters. The staff made the night so special, we cannot thank them enough!
Alejandro Bencomo
Great decoration and fantastic food. Nice place to get away from the touristy French Quarter. They have 10 different types of Oysters. My recommendation beausoleil and royal miyagi paired with Txakolina white wine
Owen Clayton
A dimly lit oyster bar with elevated cuisine fresh from the sea. Large variety of oysters and other seafood made for a dreamy evening dinner affair. The staff was helpful and kind, the service quick and precise. Would recommend to anyone, although would advise the happy hour specials that we missed out on due to bad timing!
Julie Daughety
Welcoming staff and TASTY oysters from all the coasts of our USA!! Bartenders all attentive and engaged.
We went to happy hour today from a server’s recommendation from last night’s dinner at another local NOLA restaurant.
****WATCH OUT for over charge of happy hour drinks***
Don’t order the Sherman’s cup cocktail was so bitter sour COULD BARELY drink it. Not sure if the bartender forgot adding even a little simple syrup but if you like no sugar super sour have at it???
We’d go back but watch the overcharges and might skip the cocktails.
Otherwise a nice trendy young peoples place to eat tasty oysters!!
Christopher A
Seaworthy is a delightful foodie's spot. From the quality of their oysters and freshness of all their seafood to the high level of service Seaworthy is by far my favorite New Orleans joint. Forgo the fancy places near the French quarter and come here for your oyster fix.
Alan Chen
Fav restaurant oyster bar during the trip in New Orleans. Fresh oyster, chill environment, great food and beverage, and, most importantly, amazing service. This place will def be my must-visit every time in New Orleans.
Tony Guerrero
I was very excited about this place so we made the reservations with the firm conviction that it was going to be a great dinner The place itself is magical everything you can expect from an old building in the heart of the business district we started by ordering all the crudos I can tell a lot from a restaurant by the crudos ..they were not as i was expected but they were ok... presentation ok but flavor wise..mmmm..then the oysters ..not fresh..drinks were okay ish the service good...but the food...meh..3 stars well deserved..really wasn't that impressive.
Brandon Reynolds
I went to Seaworthy several years ago and had such a magical experience for dinner. Unfortunately, my latest visit was not the same at all. Our waiter, while very nice, seemed to be the only one on staff and even though most tables were empty, it was incredibly difficult to order anything with him or get anything cleared off the table including the menus which stayed with us the whole evening. Quality of food also not what it used to be at all and more en par with pub food than any sort of elevated experience. We each had two cocktails and a sandwich with sub par fries thrown on the plate at roughly $100 per person. I will give props to the bar staff who made some fantastic cocktails. It would still be a great place to drop by the bar for an evening drink. I understand businesses are struggling post pandemic but it was such a disappointment and departure from the vibe it one was.
B-Quiet Media (BQuiet Media)
This places wasn’t what we expected but we were not disappointed at all. The staff was great, food was excellent and the price was very reasonable.
Victoria Chediak
This place is so so good! The service was 100000% and the cocktails were ever better. Each person that took care of us was so nice. Its the perfect place for food and drinks highly recommend!
Mark LoGiurato
Nice restaurant albeit small, with good food, great drinks and terrific service. Acoustics can be a bit loud at times due to the size of the place, especially in the bar area, but the atmosphere and vibe make up for it.
Kyle L
probably the best lobster roll outside of new england.
The portions were pretty small, but the food was absolutely delicious. We had the crab dip, chargrilled oysters, lobster roll, beer, and wine.
The crab dip was excellent, but it was served with very thin cracker/bread. The dip itself was excellent, but the thin pieces of crackers would easily break off into the dip.
The oysters were delicious. Their chargrilled oysters included melted cheese which we did like.
The lobster roll gave me hesitation when reading the menu, but I trusted the chef knew what he was doing pairing the flavors together. I am glad I trusted them. It was the best lobster roll I have ever had outside of New England. It was served hot/warm which I do prefer and the combination of flavors melded together very pleasantly.
Overall it is a cozy little place, and I will visit again on future N.O. trips. I look forward to trying more of the cocktail menu on future trips. We did not get to drink any cocktails due to our schedule, but from what we saw they put a lot of time and effort into their cocktails making them very unique and a wonderful pairing to their food menu.
Lauren Martin
Sat at the bar, great atmosphere and decor. They only had 1 type of oyster left (murder points) and they were very delicious, but unfortunately our only option. Also ran out of the white fish my friend ordered. Our food was just ok.
Alex Bracke
Great seafood spot in NOLA. If you're not a big gulf coast fan, they have a great selection of east or west coast oysters, unlike many of the other options we looked in to while visiting. The staff is great, the shuckers are hilarious and shucking masters, definitely sit at the bar if you can. We ended up visiting twice in three days because we loved it so much!
Djuana Stoakley
One of the best oyster bars in the city (and that’s saying a lot in a city known for its oysters). Late-night happy hour is a gem.
Cam Bogan
Love the staff, love the ambiance, love the food. Their selection of oysters and dry sherry were so good it actually made me want to move to NOLA. Well, that and brass bands...
Allen Brooks
Great variety of local and east coast oysters. The entrees were also great. The grilled shrimp and crayfish roll (think lobster roll) were phenomenal. The whiskey cocktails including a sazarec based Louisiana one and the Old fashioned were well prepared. If you are in town and want oysters on the half shell or great seafood this place is a must.
Hospitality Of New Orleans
Seaworthy has the best oyster happy hour. Not only do they offer super fresh and delicious oysters but the bar area is super chic and totally instagramable.
Alex Thomas
Seaworthy is an adorable restaurant with cute dimly lit bar. We dined in the back courtyard. Drink pictured is holy water cocktail for which you can choose to also buy the tall candle made specifically for the restaurant. Cocktails were all very creative. Food was very tasty - our only negative was that there were log lulls between courses that could have been better timed. But very pleasant experience overall.
Lucas Miller
this place is perfect. oyster selection is off the charts and their staff is incredibly nice, we love it here.
Hardik Sodhani
This restaurant has a very creative menu of dishes as well as some unique cocktails, both of which are superb. The staff especially was very friendly, and even offered a round of free cocktails because our dinner was taking particularly long to prepare. Ambience is also relaxing, with a dim setting inside
Taylor Gray
Great food! It was the first time I tried oysters, and they weren't my favorite. But the other people we were with liked them!
Anante Jariwala
I went for some late night snacks during their Happy Hour. I had a dozen oysters for $12! The cocktail sauce and the beer on happy hour ($3) was a perfect pairing with the oysters. The service was very good. I also got to try a few varieties of the local oysters as I am not local. Great touch.
Ari Ro
Tough place to visit, a bit crowded they seemed overwhelmed. Maybe will visit again when it isn't Happy hour.
Alright a lot better when they are not busy (originally 3 stars) . Know what you are doing when they are busy, you will be ignored if you aren't a regular.
CC Chapman
Amazing selection of Atlantic, Gulf, and Pacific oysters. Really love getting a dozen and a half oysters and a Ojen (pronounced O-hen) cocktail as a special treat. Happy hour deals are worth it, but due to the number of varieties they carry and distance some of these have to travel, this is not the place to buy 4 dozen Gulf monsters at 25¢ a pop.
Melina Hamezos
I want to give a better review because it’s a really nice place with good food and cocktails, but the portion sizes are just unacceptable for the prices they charge. My friend and I went last week and we enjoyed everything, but if I’m paying $22 for two crab cakes I expect to at least get a side with it…even fries! But they have that available for just an extra $8. The crab dip we got as an appetizer was very tasty, but there just wasn’t much of it. My friends’s tuna poke looked tasty as well, but again, very small portions. Our bill was over $100 and I just think it wasn’t worth it. However, the place itself is very charming and would be a great date place. They seem to have a nice oyster happy hour with oysters from different regions, so I may return to try that, but I won’t return for their regular entrees/appetizers.
Nikon Don Harris
The food was delicious. I love the texture of the restaurant as well. And they have Very nice service..
Leah Williams
The oysters we had here were delectable! Loved that they had a selection from different coasts so we could enjoy different flavour profiles.
T Maria
small oyster spot conveniently located in New Orleans CBD. oysters fresh...but much more than I would ever chose to pay. I only purchased a few since they are sold individually...the combination dozen platter was also more than i would pay. loved the crab cakes and attentive service.
Dave Chan
Decent food, though smell the oysters first. Not sure why they insist to seat people by the window with no shades and glaring sun.
Amy Buras
I wanted to try this place for a while so maybe my expectations were high. The staff was really nice and friendly but service was a little slow, although I don't think that had anything to do with my server. We started with a few chargrilled oysters for happy hour, they were good but there's definitely better. App was crab fingers which were soaked in a really strong sauce that tasted like Worcestershire. Couldn't taste the crab at all. Mains were mussels, and unfortunately they were out of the crab cakes so didn't get to try. Got the burger which was kind of a mess and soaked through the bun. The seafood itself all seemed fresh but it was all overpowered by sauce or cheese. Overall it really just isn't worth the price.
Alexander Stadnyk
My wife and I had awesome time. The place is very cozy. Drinks are very tasty and funny. Oysters were really good. Our waiter Suzan was amazing. She helped us picking oysters and drinks. Just the whole vibe in the place was awesome. I highly recommend it to visit. Chill for few hours, eat some oysters and cocktails, listen to nice music. Do not forget to finish you evening with Kumbaya mmmmmm yummy
Jennifer Rohleder
From the time we walked in with the amazing welcoming sweet host to Kelsey and his pals at the bar and excellent and I mean excellent drinks and the sweet beautiful manager lady name escapes me to Ronald and Quincy taking care of such a large party with humor and ease with everyone asking for something at once... they flowed right through and the appetizers and dinner and drinks were so very fabulous. Like truly did not have any expectations of what this cute restaurant would be like and let me tell you ... nothing disappointed us in any way. If you have not been there, well... you must!!!!! It is beyond any of my foodie expectations and I travel every week and get a chance to eat at very wonderful places and hands down this was truly one of the best experiences I've had with a restaurant anywhere.
Patrick DiLoreto
Stopped by for a late dinner at the bar. The pork belly was amazing! interestingly prepared and delicious. Great cocktails, great service! I would return.
André Wolff
Great selection of fresh oysters. Happy Hour from 4 to 6 with half off prices. Worth the visit!
Val Pal
Oysters were great and the smoked coins was fabulous! Drinks were well made!
Salvador Jaime
Went for happy hour and it was amazing. Solid cocktails and great prices on raw oysters.
Ronald E Robbins
Delicious!! Best raw oysters I've had in new Orleans and the cocktails we're bomb. I highly recommend going just before happy hour to get a seat at the bar. Half off oysters are where it's at. Also, order the mussels with a side of sourdough bread to soak up the sauce. You won't regret it!
Rossen Marinov
Ordered french fries, and received deep fried potato wedges...The food was average at best. Having a 5 star review is unrealistic.
Mac Hh
Delicious creative food and drinks! Oysters were top notch from over a dozen different parts of the US.
Bree Gladden
Good service, good appetizers & sides but would not suggest this place for a full dinner. More of a drink & quick bite. $20 for two thin crab cakes placed on a small side plate, no garnish/side/ anything- just a sauce ramekin.
Tony Thiery
What a great find!!!! We tried oysters from different regions, pork belly with beet sauce, shrimp remolaude, scallops and the best drink in the city called “Holy Water”. Will definitely be back soon.
Madyson Egan
great happy hour. the bar is great if youre goin out alone and like oysters!

Any place where their signature cocktail has Chartreuse in it is already a contender, but this place also has ALL OF THE OYSTERS!!! The list last time I visited included oysters from all three coasts. It was an embarrassment of riches. Be sure to get a reservation.
alex michael crook
Love this restaurant so much. Love the fresh oysters, the crab dip and the whole menu.
Lorena Bergeron
Private atmosphere. Very New Orleans. Quality oysters. Solid drinks.
Cheryl Sun
Staff was friendly and food was delicious!
Carl Johnson
This was one of our highlights in NOLA. First off the staff are fantastic and cannot do enough. The food and drinks are excellent. Please stop by if you enjoy drinks, seafood and a relaxed atmosphere. We will be back.
stephen adams
Really funky outdoor bar. Great live music in an up and coming neighborhood. Really good food and wine. Amazing cheese plates. The broccoli and lamb balls, will make you want to slap your mamma! Be carful when ordering, it a modern setup but if you have a large group it could get confusing.
Stephanie Neece - Keller Williams Realty Services (Realtor)
The pictures tell the story of the food. And the service was even better.
Mateo Gebon
The bartenders were a cheery bunch, and the happy hour oysters were great. There was a nice selection and my Paloma was also good with a little smoke from the mezcal.
Michael Cox
Fantastic oysters! But really what made this visit was the fantastic service. We’ve been to several restaurants since landing in NOLA and we were convinced rude/poor service was just a thing here. August took care of us and deserves recognition, as well as the rest of the staff for being welcoming and speedy. Great visit, thanks!
Marta Mariño Maza
The chef and bartender are on point.. they make wonderful and very unique flavor combinations. Wine list is too expensive, order from the appetizers. Don't skip the pork belly!
Wil Price
Excellent raw bar. Not your typical New Orleans spot. Friendly staff and strong cocktails.
Miranda Walker
Update: No longer a favorite. Quality has decreased significantly. Nothing was cooked correctly last weekend. No thought into menu anymore. Cocktails no longer on point. Everyone working seemed complacent at best. I see other reviews like this and I wanted to believe it wasn’t true so gave them a visit but unfortunately it is. I so hope the Seaworthy we all know and love would come back!
A favorite. Great cocktails like the Holy Water and even mocktails like the Lucid Dream make you feel like you aren’t drinking an uninteresting non-alcoholic cocktail. Fabulous selection of raw oysters. Mama’s Crab Dip is one of my favorite apps. Better lobster rolls than New England - the bread seems like a buttered, toasted challah. Really good, crispy fries too. If it’s nice out, the covered courtyard area has a great vibe, but inside dining and the bar do too.

Great place..cool vibe, super chilax but trendy. Awesome Manhattan made with care...a slightly light Spanish Granache that paired perfectly with my black 🥁 …
Jim Ramsey Khouri
The drinks are amazing and creative. The bartenders and servers are all super friendly. Vibe is relaxed and music isn't overly loud like so many other bars. The oysters are very fresh and clean and even the other food is interesting as well. Highly recommend for anyone coming out of town.
Andrew Putnam
Went during happy hour with half priced oysters and a few drink specials and was worth the price even at full cost. The gulf oysters were large and tasty and the moms crabmeat dip was to die for as long as you can handle some dairy. I would take a half star off for mediocre crackers add no hot sauce offered with oysters.
Mo Wiltshire
Incredible selection of oysters. Scallops were delicious and the waygu beef burger should not be missed.
Shannon Koonin
Our bartender at the Roosevelt recommended this place and wow! Everyone was so lovely and fun, but the food was absolutely outstanding. Incredible. Can not say enough. Our waitress, Acua (hope I spelled that right) and the hostess Moki, were just so helpful and so much fun. Highly recommend!
Chris Felder
Great small restaurant with creative cocktails. Small menu but it all looked great. The chargrilled oysters were delicious.
shaniqua wesley
Very good eats and customer service. Has a nice drink selection as well.
Jennifer J
Menu was different than online. None of the large plates on the menu. No Reveillion menu despite it being advertised on their website and other platforms. When asked about it, server acted like it never existed and then eventually said that they didn't have supplies or staff for a full menu. Website should be updated and people with reservations should be notified. I would have never come. Even the receptionist was rude and ignored us for a full minute even though she wasn't helping other guests or on the phone. Small plates that we had were good. Won't be back though.
Robert Bowman
It was okay. The red fish was under cooked. Not to my liking 😒 Enjoyed the appetizers. House wine was okay. I'm sitting on the fence with this place
Nataly Rubinstein
Loved it!
Best mussels I’ve had ever… must order French fries to enjoy then with the spectacular avocado, garlic and hearts of palm sauce.
Oysters 👍
Black snapper to die for.
Nice service.
Lovely, quiet ambiance, specially beautiful after walking in the loud and dirty French Quater.
This is my new fav area in NO.
Seth Baumgardner
The atmosphere here is excellent. The cocktails are excellent. The food is excellent.
Nick Votto
Great experience. Lovely atmosphere. Great oysters. Good service. Can't miss.
David S.
Very quaint and unique setting that belies the caliber of the food here. The service is a bit slower than I'd like but attentive, nonetheless. The wait is certainly worth it as the food was absolutely fantastic. Very creative dishes with amazing flavor. The menu is a bit short but that it probably why they are able to really focus on delivering very high quality dishes. We'll certainly be back soon!
Sharifa Al-hashimi
Very low key spot. We walked from the Virgin Hotels for HH and enjoyed it. Love the ambiance. Small spot to you will need reservations!
Stephen Brown
This was okay, we got a sample of every oyster they had but what we found was that the regular Gulf oysters were the best. Also not the best place for a full-on meal as table seating was limited. We were crammed into a small table in the corner near the bar. Their signature drink was not as good as I would have expected it to be considering it is touted as their best mixed drink. You do get a souvenir glass, but it's not really worth the price unless you plan on making a candle out of it later on. All in all, there are much better places in New Orleans to get oysters. We probably will not go back here.
Having said that, they do have good french fries, I think we ended up ordering two servings. But, not worth going just for the fries considering the best fries in Nola are the yucca fries at Golden Chips.
Byron Croker
Had the "Crew Mess Special!" That's what sailors do. The officer had the red fish. The food and drinks were great.
Vyvy Tran
Seaworthy was one of our top choices for fresh oysters when we visited New Orleans one year. What's great about this spot is that they have a Late Night Specials Menu from 11:00 pm - 1:00 am that's not displayed on their site, as well as a huge variety of oysters to choose from. Plus, they were one of the few restaurants that were open till 2:00 am!
Service upon our second visit was wonderful. Got seats at the bar. Got to sample a variety of small dishes and shared a dozen Massacre Island oysters from Dauphin Island. Thanks to our wonderful server / bartender at the bar for making it amazing; she made delicious drinks too. Bumping this up to 4 stars.
Macks Martinez
Jaime, you do good. The oysters were inexplicably delicious! I had the bakers dozen and I am still drooling for them today. Amazing drinks, beautiful area, and perfect place for a quiet date night. Ocean explosion in my palate.
Teamer Tibebu
Seaworthy has such a cozy, rustic feel to it. We ordered a bunch of food and we weren’t disappointed. The lobster roll, lobster fingers, shishito peppers, and watermelon salad were all amazing. Service was great.
Elle
Had a great time sitting at the bar. Friendly staff and delicious, fresh oysters. Good happy hour pricing.
Adam Evil
The oysters were great, but best to avoid the shrimp ceviche! 4 chopped pieces of shrimp served…on a bed of kettle chips!! By the time you get halfway through the chips they’re beyond edible and have “soggied” into a spud puddy!!
Andrew Estupinan
I *never* order scallops as a meal unless i am visiting Nola. Seaworthy stood up to my expectations. The interior adds to the experience as this is an older Establishment with historic art pieces and flowing melted wax from what seems to be at least 100 years worth of candles flowing from fireplace mantles, candle holders, and shelves. Gives off a very unique ambiance.
Jonathan Zapata
Great drinks, dim lit vibe at night. Amazing service! Do yourself a favor and get the Holy Water cocktail served on fire!
Ghost of a Chance
A fabulous place right downtown. The service is the best part. And the servers are beautiful and stylish. I love them. I love the craft cocktails here. They’re not cheap. But they are special and delicious. Seaworthy is built in an old building. The downstairs bar where I sat looks exactly like Bars used to look back in the day. But not retro. The real thing. Just dark enough. This is very close to all the theaters and venues downtown. Also nice walk to the French Quarter. Not stuffy. I highly recommend this place for a date. It’s comfy and casual. It’s nice to eat in the bar because it’s small and you have to get close!
Jeremie Mize
One of my favorite places to eat in New Orleans. The staff is very friendly from the greeting at the door all the way throughout the entire restaurant experience. Amazing oysters and the fish specials are to die for! Definitely a place everyone should try and try again and again and again...😆 …
Victoria Robinson
Truly great oyster bar. Friendly staff great oysters, happy hour. I went back all week.
Bryan Briggs
Every time we've been, it's been amazing. Cocktails are delicious. Oysters from different regions. The pork belly is so good. Go here.
Kay E
Holy water drink was great. Lobster roll was divine, however it should state the cucumbers are apart of the ingredients. I have an allergy to cucumbers so I picked them all off and took a benadryl afterwards. I love Lobster rolls so I would definitely order again if I can skip the cucumbers.
Nicole Streeter
The staff is fantastic and so were the oysters. I liked it so much I went back for a second dinner (on a 5-night trip) and had the crawfish roll! Highly recommend and I will definitely be back!
Anthony Walker
As a Marylander and avid seafood aficionado, Seaworthy does fresh seafood well. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. The oysters are fresh with a selection from west coast to the east coast.
Zhongwen Xu
Amazing 6 flavors of oysters!
A. Paige Slay
Came here for my 2nd time, and it was as amazing as my first visit. The ambiance is beautiful and romantic. We had oysters, holy water , cold brew martinis, pork belly, fried shrimp, and fish of the day. Each element was treated with such care individually and came together to create a menagerie of flavors and textures in every bite. The chocolate cheesecake was absolute divine... the textures were unreal. I had tears in my eyes. Service was also stellar. We had Nino. He was so professional and knowledgeable, but totally laid back and just very cool. The entire staff take such great care in their service. I will be coming back again and again. Just lovely.
Andrea Ratliff
If you love oysters and cocktails, you'll love this place. Go for happy hour when the oysters are half off. My partner and I sat for a few hours, each ate at least one of every oyster plus drinks and our bill was under $50. Definitely recommend.
B Crafty
Menu selection of oysters was phenomenal, food was extremely tasty and the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and fun! Great date night spot or late night bite with friends. They also have lots of fun specialty cocktails. The dining area we sat at was outside and it was so dreamy and wonderful!
Dori Fitzpatrick
Super cute and tendy. Amazing fresh seafood. Menu was a little confusing- but our server was great and spelled it out for us. We had the trio appetizer- tuna, shrimp and cobia. Cobia was not great. But the others were amazing! I did the lobster roll - best I ever had and I lived in the Hamptons for 10 years. My husband has the shrimp roll. Such a great night and I would totally recommend. Oh and explore the restaurant- it is decorated to a T
Rebecca Mazza
We decided to change our brunch plans on Sunday and we took the recommendation of one of our Uber drivers to come here. We started with a dozen oysters which were all great and the best we had in New Orleans. Our entrees were flavorful and light as well. We had 2 rounds of drinks and at the end, the bartender was sweet enough to buy one round on him.
Reyne Terrebonne
Really enjoyed the gumbo and fried shrimp and my boyfriend devoured the oysters. Great cocktails!
Casey B.
I am consistently blown away by this place every time I come. Their reverse happy hour is amazing. This is only 1 of 2 spots I know in the entire city where you can get such a wide variety of oysters all over the US. I love trying them side by side. They also have Sea Urchin. Some of the best oysters I’ve had in New Orleans.
Kevin McGann
Interesting cocktail selection. Initially a slow start as we went in later and some oysters were gone for the day. Made up for slow start with a series of small plates, really pleasant service, spicy pickles and solid entrees. Chef came out and talked to us about his place and was genuinely interested in our happiness. We had dessert outside in the back courtyard.
Matt Minga
We had a great dinner here. Our flight got in late and they accommodated getting us a table. We had a great server. The food was interesting and delicious. The cocktails were fantastic. The kumbaya especially. The atmosphere upstairs is different than the downstairs area but that's doesn't mean it wasn't equally cool.
Ralph Cadow
Great place for different types of oysters.
Adrian Chernyk
Food was pretty good. Especially the oysters but the service was a little off. Half our party was seated upstairs while the rest of us were closing out at the bar and the waitress never took drink orders from the people who were seated upstairs while they waited for us. We didn't have the right number of menus for our party size and had to share menus. Took a little too long for the waitress to come by once we were all seated for drink orders. Little things like that that were annoying.
ho0plah
Great place for good oysters downtown. I live in New Orleans and it is hard to find a decent place that you feel confident the oysters have been maintained correctly (food illness is not fun). This place knows what they are doing, swing by happy hour and get half off the oyster.
The Charred Orange
I really, really wanted to love this place. We were in town from NYC really looking forward to this. We visited the location on Carondelet last night about an hour and a half before closing. The bartender hit my biggest pet peeve of all time when it comes to drinks: Not ONE drink we ordered came garnished. The 'Holy Water' had the Chartreuse mixed in, no lime and sugar cube, no flame. He claimed he didn't have any of the equipment necessary to flame the drink. Him: "You are getting the drink, but not the show." Ok. I'm glad I didn't pay the extra for the glass. No garnish on the 'Shermans Cup.' No garnish on 'Monaco Colada.' I asked him it was served with a garnished and he said they were out of mint. Huh?! This the most disappointing thing, in my opinion, when you visit cocktail bar with pretty well known signature drinks and the person executing them either doesn't care or doesn't have the support from back of house to execute anything fully. Or he just profile me and thought I knew nothing about cocktails. Even more scary in today's climate. Anyway, I heard them mention more than one time that they just wanted to close early and it was apparent. I tipped the guy 20% because maybe he was having a bad night, but I can't in good conscience return here. Food was good but not supported by the cocktail program that night, unfortunately.
Christopher Templeton
I wish I could give this place 1000 stars. Great food great service. Most friendly staff ever. I traveled to a lot of places and by far top 10 restaurants I ve ever been to.
Stephanie P
One of the top 3 burgers I've had in my lifetime. The bartender was amazing, super friendly and helped me through my fear of raw oysters which led me to eat several more, willingly. His knowledge of the oysters and the menu, as well as recognizing previous customers, is invaluable.
Aaron V
Food was amazing. Ceviche trio is a must, delicate flavoring and buttery consistency. Swordfish was very tender with creamy potato puree. Scallops perfectly cooked in a light bean puree. Atmosphere is intimate but a bit cramped with a party of four. Great place for a romantic date night
iatethecloudsforyou
Oysters were great. Nice ambience and great service. We only had a salad besides the oysters so can’t say much for the food.
Georgia Vozos Buley
During our 5 day trip to NOLA, my boyfriend and I came here twice. It was just perfect. Small, intimate and exceptional. Sit up at the bar and ask the knowledgeable staff what oysters they recommend. The cocktails are all strong, crisp and of the highest quality. I would have come here everyday for a quick round of oysters if it wasn't my first NOLA trip and had so many must see places on my list. Definitely come here with a date or small group!
Will S
Really enjoyed Seaworthy. Seafood is fresh and well prepared. Good enough to do well in New Orleans which is really saying something. If visiting worth a visit, if a resident you probably already know. Nice bar and good tables. Probably should make a reservation in advance.
Stephen B Marshall Sr.
Different types of gulf oysters, wonderful environment.
Mark Mislivec
Prices were really reasonable and the waitstaff was so kind and helpful. Great cocktail recommendations, and her suggestions for oysters based on our preferences were spot on. The gulf oysters were massive and delicious!
Calley Bliss
Good vibe, great friendly staff (Jess is great! Give her a raise!), amazing seafood. Got busy at 8.
Hank Recor
Had been meaning to go here for some time. Coworkers organized a small night out for dinner here. I was pleasantly surprised by the charming interior and quaint courtyard.
From the first plates on through the last we had a relaxed evening with delicious bites.
Amanda Conn
Honestly never eaten oysters before so the server helped us pick some out and they were good. The other food we had (octopus and swordfish) was amazing! Prices aren’t bad either. We will definitely be back.

The service was outstanding and the fish/oysters were good and fresh. It just wasn't really anything special besides the beautiful staff and atmosphere.
Jeffrey Behm
Great for what it is: oysters, small plates, lively atmosphere. Highly recommend the peel & eat shrimp and fresh oysters. Friendly service, nice little spot as part of the Ace Hotel presence. Not as great for a romantic dinner...menu is limited for bigger meals.
Erez Dror
Great oysters! Nice happy hour
Garland
Best selection of oysters in town. Tiny little spot with a few tables and some curbside seating too. Good drinks and specialty cocktails.
Perttu Trontti
Great oysters, atmosphere, cocktails and company.
Marty Shaw, Author
Stopped in on a Wednesday for a nice midweek meal to reminisce with old friends from distant lands. "Old world sailing vessel" best describes the feeling you get when you enter the secret gangway that cannot be revealed until its upon you. The beautifully detailed holiday garland leading up the spiral stairs reminded me that its almost Christmas and a good time lay ahead. The mood was invitingly romantic with the classic rock and nautical themes everywhere. My bloody Mary was sublime after a full day. We started off sharing some Gulf oysters, Brussels sprouts, and hushpuppies. All well prepared and delicious. Next came the beet salad which was predestined. The scallops were rich, creamy and destined to make me want more then I could eat. Finally, the salty gelato and a glass of beautiful Italian digestive, a perfect end to a memorable evening on the high seas. Top rated!
Knate Slack
Great food. The oyster selection is great. Wife was especially pleased with the sage aioli for her French fries. Burger was tasty as well. Restaurant wasn't very busy at 7 and made it great to spend time with friends.
Elayna Duncan
Drinks were fantastic, bar service was friendly.. BEST burger we've ever had.. (took one Togo) 50/50 brisket and Chuck, cooked perfectly, juicy and awe inspiring. Oysters were also delicious!
Justin Keyes
(repost from my other account, written a month ago) I really, really wanted to love this place. We were in town from NYC really looking forward to this. We visited the location on Carondelet last night about an hour and a half before closing. Tim Tiemann
Go for the happy hour, it's truly stellar. Strong cocktail and wine game. The oyster options from the raw bar menu are wonderful; be sure to compare gulf coast, East and West coast options at your leisure.
Scott Wulwick
Went here for our anniversary dinner. Told the hostess in our reservation that we were celebrating a special occasion. She was totally erratic and all over the place, struggling to just get us seated even though it wasn't really packed. Asked about inside or outside but didn't give any recommendations based on the room (you can't see the dining area from the host stand). The wait staff really couldn't care about us being there or not. That being said, the food was phenomenal. Recommend the swordfish and the oysters were clean and well presented. 5/5 food, 1/5 service.
Jeanne Fair
My best friend and I dined here last night. Best oysters I've had in my entire life! Phenomenal! The drinks were tasty and Josiah, our server, was attentive, professional, and very nice. Our second round of oysters took a little longer than expected due to a surge of business, so the management team comp'd our cocktails and threw in a couple of the Murder Points for us to sample. ( Thank you again! That was so sweet!) I even texted my boyfriend during the meal, and told him we HAVE to come back the next time we are in from Lafayette. Thank you, Seaworthy and staff, for an excellent late night meal!
Jacob Thorington
My friends and I came here after a wedding in New Orleans. We had a banquet. The food I ordered was good, but I can’t say the same for the rest of our party. I got the blue crab toast, which was the highlight of the meal. Truthfully one of my favorite foods I had in this city. Everything else was okay.
Two people in our party ordered burgers cooked well. They were served essentially raw to our guests. Not a good look. The staff did offer to cook them another, but it hardly mattered considering how slow the staff was. We were seated at 7:00 PM, served our drinks at 7:40 PM, had our first course at 8:30 PM second at 9:30 PM, and were served dessert at 10:15 PM. We left the restaurant at 10:30 PM to drink and celebrate the marriage of our friends.
The restaurant ended up paying for all of our drinks, which was nice of them, but they only offered to do this after someone who lives and works here in the restaurant industry told them that this service was absolutely unacceptable. It really was bad service. They seems understaffed on a Saturday night and struggled to serve our banquet in prompt manner.
I’m not giving up in this place though...I’ll definitely try it again the next time I’m in New Orleans because it has an excellent reputation. I’m sure we just ended up eating here on an off night—at least that’s what I’m hoping.
Michael Cohn
Seaworthy is a wonderful addition to the restaurant and seafood scene in New Orleans. While the city's seafood is known for gulf fish, shrimp, and oysters, Seaworthy has other options from around the country. The options of oysters, for example, provide a great introduction as to the types and flavors from around the country. Food was all excellent and service was great. They seated us at the bar with no trouble and no reservation.
Ann Failla
Charbroiled oysters, chilled shrimp, crab cakes & mussels. Delicious! Great cocktails too!
Clay Hackett
We popped in during the afternoon for some drinks and oysters. The sign outside said something to the tune of “join us in our courtyard” but their courtyard was closed… the sazerac and other craft cocktail we had were very tasty, the oysters were well presented, but the service was only OK. Maybe they’re better when busier? Not sure I’d walk that far out of the quarter to find out.
Li Wei Hung
The service is good.
Oyster is far better than ACME.
Joost Morsink
Great place for oysters and cocktails. Very impressed by the mussels and really enjoyed the crowd shrimp poboy. Interior is sexy and it's a great place for a date.
Gaea Lady
Our favorite place for oysters in the city, hands down. Each dish is a small plate, but SO GOOD. Great happy hour, to boot. :)
Jeff Aguero
Awesome place! Really cool decor, friendly bartenders/servers, and great food. Between the two of us, we split the burger, some oysters, and the pork belly and everything was quite tasty. I’ll definitely be back again soon!
Alyssa Carter
Great restaurant with a contemporary twist on New Orleans cuisine. Has a somewhat contemporary feel to it without superimposing an external aesthetic onto the New Orleans vibe. It’s in the warehouse district, which is the more contemporary-minded part of New Orleans with lots of interesting places nearby. The Monday night crawfish boil is a great deal.
Jenny Byrne
Went in with a cranky 11 year old and grumpy 36 year old. Food was fantastic. Staff and kitchen were incredibly accommodating, preparing a simple red snapper and linguine dish for my son. The drum fish was absurd! I would happily bathe in the sauce in which it was served. And the grumpy 36 year old had nothing but accolades for the burger!
Chris Orlando
New Saturday Brunch started September 2019 ... Check it out. Call for reservations as their Google page says closed at that time.
Vikram Prakash
Best happy hour in new Orleans. They have the best oysters and the other food is also really good. Mad props to the shuckers. Avoid the places around that are offering $1 oysters and just come here. You will not be disappointed.
Matt Martinez
Great spot for inventive and well-made cocktails. We only tried a few of the small bites but the sweet corn hush puppies were delicious. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu and drink more cocktails.
A Smith
The food was great and the staff was friendly. I ordered to pick up and unfortunately the bread was soggy in our poboy. We ordered from another place that put the dressing on the side to keep the bread from getting soggy. I'd recommend that. Other than that, I highly suggest checking this place out.
Joan Morisky
Excellent little place in the heart of all the action. Food was excellent and oysters were so fresh. Definitely a return place.
Henry Spradley
A go-to spot for oysters if you want a little more than the oyster bar experience. Good drinks and snacks, albeit a bit pricey. Always near the top of my list when friends want to meet up in the CBD.
Josh Ritchie
East coast to west coast, best raw oysters around. Crab dip was winning too!
Liz Webster
Great Happy Hour Find. Try the oleo saccharum punch. It is truly special. When we were there a week ago, Seaworthy featured a tequila passionfruit version that I wished would never end. The oysters and prawns were delicious. A nice pick-me-up before 5:30 mass at St. Patricks.
Sarah Eadie
Coming from the Pacific Northwest, I wasn't a big fan of gulf oysters. This place helped me see (er... taste?) the light. The oysters were spectacular and the drinks were good. Highly recommended.
Robert Portillo
Just a few feet away from the ACE hotel. Quaint, romantic, hip setting. I went with two friends on a whim without making reservations and the hostess went out of her way to get us a table. Many thanks for that because we were hungry! We ordered the house made ginger beer and it was so tasty and refreshing. The ceviche was tasty and their hamburger was on point. My friend ordered the bread pudding brulee and raved about it. We had great service and prices were in line with downtown eateries.
Allison Singh
One of my favorite places we went in NOLA. The outdoor alley area is beautiful and intimate and there was even live music. Highly recommend the oysters and seafood tower.
Michael Saucier
the place is beautiful, the shucker was super cool. decent bartenders but i have to echo some complaints from below. $3 for murder point oyster is insane. i get it for the west coast and east coast oysters, but no gulf oyster should EVER be $3 a piece. thats nuts. our bill after one drink, a dozen, and a half dozen shrimp was freakin $72. never again. i would consider coming back for a real dinner, as those prices seem sane. but $3 for a gulf oyster? never again.
Sarah Koller
Everything you ever wanted. I mean seriously, seafood and cocktails how you can you go wrong? The service is phenomenal and they really know their stuff. Vincent talked us through everything from oysters to football. He's awesome! My recommendation, belly up to the oyster bar- have Matt make you a drink and Vincent takes care of the oysters. Yum! Thanks Seaworthy team! We loved it!
Asia Strong
Their cauliflower shrimp and grits was a great take, big tender Gulf shrimp cooked perfectly. Their burger was juicy and scrumptious, and the octopus was the best I've ever had. They definitely know what they're doing.
Panda
We had one of the most amazing experiences in New Orleans at this place not only because of the mind-blowingly amazing food, but also because every single person working there made a stellar impression on us. They were kind, thoughtful, had big personalities, and they accommodated us with zero hesitation (We showed up just before a busy time and didn't have a reservation, but they made room for us.) The hostess (Ariel) was genuine and kind. The waiter (Korey) was hilarious, insightful, witty, and a literal joy to have around. We looked forward to each interaction with him and each suggestion he had. Everything was DELICIOUS. A big thank you to everyone at Seaworthy for a lovely evening.
Sarah Trimble
AMAZING oyster selection, with a well stocked bar, great staff, and heavenly food. No lie, everything we ordered was stellar. We don't usually venture into the CBD but we will absolutely be back.
Coryell Kelsey
Great oysters and happy hour deals
Bradley Becnel
The ambiance is great. The drinks are great. The food just doesn't cut it. I've tried a few times and keep leaving disappointed. I'll continue to go for cocktails, but there are too many other delicious seafood places nearby.
Cody Smith
Oysters, fried brussels, and steak were all just perfect, and the service was attentive, knowledgeable, and charming. The seating was pretty meh (stools and awkwardly deep benches), but totally worth it. Oh, and the rice cakes were amazing; super chewy like mochi, and perfectly cooked.
Grant Cutler
This place is great! We make sure to make a reservation each time we come to town. The food and drinks are consistently great and the setting is very intimate and romantic. Service is attentive and very welcoming.
Lindsey Yadon
Unbelievably amazing food. The lobster roll was the size of TWO lobster rolls. Ate the second half of it the next day and it was just as good as round 1.
Aliyia Patterson-Brooks
This was a great place for raw oysters! The variety and perfect shucking by Twin is a reason to stop by! Our drinks were great, we had the kumbaya, which is made with mezcal. We also had the seaworthy roll which is like a lobster roll but with crawfish and the blue crab which is lots of crabmeat on top of bread (sorry forgot the other ingredients) but it was amazing. If your going make reservations or expect to wait. They also have oyster happy hour, which we unfortunately never got a chance to take advantage of. Didn’t take any pics but this place is great! Believe me.
Dylan Duncan
Favorite place to get oysters here in Nola
Always have a great selection
Gulf/east/west coast whatever your preference seaworthy has got you!
Also the holy water is a must try cocktail!!!
Get there for happy hour for 1/2 off selected oysters of the day
Laura Micheneau
The oysters and the shrimps were good and fresh but it was really expensive. We wanted to choose the $1.5 oyster and we noticed that we were billed the $3 oyster. The dish called "Shrimp" is just 7 shrimps and it costs around $14, so I paid $23 to eat 3 oysters and 7shrimps. Except that, the service is nice and the place is beautiful and peaceful
Confetti Darling
Great decor and atmosphere. Service was excellent. The meal we had was phenomenal; we ordered small plates and kept on ordering. Have as many local oysters as you can, delicious.
Justin Kray
Protip: happy hour is 4-6 weekdays only.
On the menu:
Delectable fresh oysters, yummy garnishes + overall an astonishing menu!
For a City overloaded with awesome restaurants, that is quite a feat.
Also, the pork belly is outstanding.
Kamille H
Excellent happy hour!
Sandor “Sandy” S
I have been to SeaWorthy twice now and sat at the bar both times. Great service from the bartenders, as well as the shuckers. I LOVE our food in New Orleans yet it has always proved difficult to find oysters other than those from the Gulf. Thanks for expanding our culinary horizon and you all do a superb job !
Christian Woods
Service Industry folks rolling in last minute, however we couldn't their very DELICIOUS food last minute due to the kitchen being closed soon, we didn't mind at all. MUCH appreciated the hospitality and kindness of other suggestions in the area open and not shooed out the door. KUDOS to the kind bartender who I can't remember his name!😫 -MATT &CHRISTIAN FROM LUKE

The best oysters in town! If you want good service, amazing food/drinks, and the perfect atmosphere -- look no further!
DWBonny
Although a bit pricier, the oysters I had (Queen Bess and Alligator Cove- both Gulf coast locals) we're terrific, the horseradish potent, the Pilsner on tap tasty, actually out did the ones I had in the old town of La Rochelle, France, where they were probably serving oysters before Columbus set sail and discovered the new-to-them world. Half price oysters during happy hour, btw. *burp*
Helen Dunkley
Arrived late after a basketball game for a quick bite and drinks. Had Redfish with a small side of spinach and potatoes. Delicious! We had some pork belly as well that were so good, we order 2 more. The chef noticed we enjoyed them and came out with another version he made himself of pork belly wrappped in spinach! Delicious.
Zach Hoffman
Came in on the tail-end of a big Mardi-Gras parade, not knowing what to expect. Front of house gal was wonderful, and took care of us (as well as several other parties arriving at the same time) with friendly conversation and attention. We ordered a dozen of the wild gulf oysters, and they were phenomenal!
Alex White
The oysters and cevice were incredible! However the portion size on the cevice was tiny and would have paid more for a full starter portion. Also, we sat at the bar and received very little actual service from thr bartender. Empty drinks, I had to ask her to wipe off the bar after removing a leaking plate of oyster shells and previous diner remnants. Not into the uber hip non service style of service.
Jaira Safakish
The oysters were delicious, the service lacking. Everyone working there acted as if it were some exclusive club in LA. Even when I asked for the location of the bathroom, I received a side eye roll letting me know it was in the back. If I were local, I wouldn't return, based on the service.
Cameron Jacox
All around amazing. Obviously the oysters and cocktails but everything is great- the burger is mindblowing. Cozy vibe and great team
Jeremy
Excellent ceviche, oysters and skirt steak. Will be back with an empty stomach and full wallet.
Nery Lopez
Great food, relaxed setting, our server Nick was awesome. The mussels are the best I’ve ever had!! The warm sourdough with wakame matcha butter is a must!!!
Nacho Zabaleta
Great drinks and fantastic oysters. Cool vibe and good and attentive staff.
Brendan Carter
If you love Oysters. This should be at the very top of your list whilst in New Orleans. Watch out for the half price happy hour oysters! Buy them by the double dozen. The wine list is a stunning match too. Nothing like a cracking Muscadet or Txacolina with the greatest selection of Oysters in NOLA. Seriously - there's like 12 different types to choose from, sorted geographically and...by species! Who does that!? These guys do...that's who.

I love how this place is open late. Great place to go when you don't want your date to end. The drink menu is far better than any menu I have seen in Las Vegas. Kumbaya is one of the best cocktails I have ever had in my life. I found myself there 3 nights in a row just to have it.
We had to send back our beignets because they weren't cooked. Had another dessert but it's not their strong suit. The restaurant has a romantic and beautiful "old" finish. Very intimate and the candles along the fireplace make it very cosy. A two second walk from the trolley stop. I would love to visit again next time I'm in town.
Alexander Thomas
About the best oyster experience one can have. Don’t hesitate to get some half shells and drinks!
Julie Smith
Oysters were amazing! The red fish was succulent. It melted in my mouth. It had a gentle blend of seasonings and the collard green salad was spot on.
John James
This place is a bargain during happy hour but perhaps a little on the expensive side thereafter. Had a great smoked cobia small plate and this is where you should start if you've already had your oyster allocation for the day (which btw are fresh, hand shucked bundles of joy). The food shoes finesse and flavour. Worth the walk out of the tourist centeic french quarter. Go next door to the Ace Hotel bar to finish the night with a wider drink selection that will satisfy your nightcap cravings.
Rob Carroll
Beautiful setting, delicious food, and Larree was awesome! Highly recommend the short rib and brussel sprouts
Javid Aslanov
The best place to have oysters outside the fresh market in new Orleans. Great selection and very fresh indeed. To add, the service and ambience were truly impeccable.
Martin Gibbs
Wide selection of oysters in a location decorated like a French seaside restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend.
Meghan Martin
Yummy place for a date night. Small plates are large enough to eat without getting too full. Different choices of oysters and caviar make it stand out from other seafood restaurants in the city.
Paula Alder
Excellent food and service. But slow to get the wedding party seated. Also, no elevator, so I had to climb 3 flights of stairs, and my knees are bone on bone. Not good if you have arthritis or an injury!
Kristen Hartman
Food amazing, but the service was unbelievably poor. Staff don’t know how to smile. We had a reservation for 6 people on Open Table, and we were shoved on small drink tables in the bar. They ran out of liquor for our drinks. The feeling there was strange.
Danny Rome
Love this place. Great atmosphere, great vibe, drinks are exceptional. Definitely come for the happy hour.
Irina Shapiro
Tasty oysters from several different locations. Oyster happy hour is the best! Cocktails are made with craft. Make a reservation here for sure!
Joshua Robinson
Great cocktails and very knowledgeable staff in a cozy atmosphere. Oysters may be ordered a la carte from a variety of beds around the country, which is a neat experience.
Cessalee Smith-Stovall
We went wandering around 10pm on Mardi Gras Day trying to find some food to satiate our needs. And boy, were we pleasantly surprised to find Seaworthy. Our eyes were trying to get us in trouble, but once the food came we just couldn't stop. We had the pickled plate, popcorn shrimp, the blue crab toast, the ceviche, brandade, and the black drum with punch and a beer. And we conquered! Excellent seafood with plenty of crawfish and delicious grits. Perfect!
Excellent staff, very attentive and excellent food late night. It's a win for me!
Pat
2019 edit - Please bring the old burger back. Definitely not like it used to be.
2017 - BURGER. Best burger that I've ever had. I travel the states 240 days a year. All over the country. This is it. Can't wait to come back.
L B
Consistently amazing food and drinks. Fantastic happy hour. Gorgeous setting. Do yourself a favor and get the scallops with purple hull peas.
Ross Claiborne
I know it is an oyster bar but they have one of the absolute best burgers in the city. Oysters were fantastic too but the burger was absolutely phenomenal.
Kate Fitzpatrick
Average at best. Especially when we went to peche last night. Seaworthy advertised crawfish boil, which is why we came - there was no boil and below average seafood. Go to peche instead.
Alexandria Robinson
Great oysters and the lobster roll is top notch. They’ve recently made some changes to their happy hour and some menu items that are a bit disappointing but still yummy!
Erin E.C. Bracke
This place is amazing. The shuckers are incredible - Edwin is THE BEST!! We only had a 4 day visit in NOLA, and we came here twice. Oysters, blue crab claws & ceviche... bomb.
Kelle Ory
If you're into comparative oysterology, I reckon this place would be a fine stop for research purposes. Small plates and entrees were all flavorful and enjoyed by all. I would go elsewhere for boiled crawfish though, take it from a local.
April Solloway
We have been twice now and although the food was good, the service was been awful both times. Last night both of our boys ordered a medium burger and they both came out rare. Once food was dropped off service was nonexistent . In a town with many great restaurants we won’t be going to this one again.
Josh Kallsen
Great vibe. Nice selection of oysters. The bartender was very helpful and even took the time to invent a drink for my wife.

Slow(er) service is a plus imho. Amazing redfish and black drum dishes. Try blue crab toast and roasted brussel sprouts. Great selection of fresh oysters
Ed Chodkowski
Best Sazerac I had while in NOLA! Friendly staff who created some other concoctions we also enjoyed. Great selection of oysters too.
Catherine Lopez
Large oyster selection. Great happy hour options. Great atmosphere. Goid date place or just hanging out with family and friends.
Walt Auvil
Food fabulous at brunch. Service brisk. Atmosphere cool. Slight demerit for not offering us the opportunity to sit in the lovely outdoor courtyard on this beautiful day in NOLA.
Vadim Blaker
Awesome food, unbelievable service!
Bruce Carrick
Worth every cent. The rice bowl is fantastic, and I can not recommend the Micah's sandwich enough!! Great bloody Mary's as icing on the cake.
Daniel Young
Great service! Great food! Overcharged for a bottle of wine. Left with a bad taste because.
Eva Grouling Snider
Sat on the private balcony and everything was exquisite. They know their oysters, and they are excellent. Highly recommend the Seaworthy Roll.
Misty
Stopped in for a bite to eat after and event.
Food was great!
Service sucked balls. Slow to get our order, even slower to being the food, and when we asked for our check we had to ask 5 people and it still took 15min before we could get someone to take our card to pay it!
Tony Farrar
Great happy hour! We loved it
Anastasia Sobko
We came here on our honeymoon, everything was excellent! Great service, delicious food, and beautiful intimate ambiance. One of the best places in New Orleans.
Alessandro Virtuoso
Good selection of oysters. The ceviche wasn't particularly good though.
Sam Bridges
Excellent food and outstanding service!
Onur Çiçek
Came this place with a recommendation and loved it..Great place, great drinks if you are in downtown New Orleans you shouldn't miss this place oysters are fresh, food is delicious..there is nothing negative about this place absolutely not..come and have memorable time.
Daren Junker
The atmosphere is nice. Quality is generally excellent. Service was also good because the one thing that wasn't okay was fixed without fuss. Prices are only slightly higher than typical, maybe 10% - definitely worth the visit though.
Richard Heller
Really enjoyed the meal. Great prok belly starter and the tuna main was outstanding, cooked a bit raw in an amazing sauce. Really seared. Espresso creme brûlée for dessert. Fabulous meal
Lorraine Mautner
The food was decent but very greasy. The service was very slow, it took a while to get menus, about 15 to get our drinks (with 3 bartenders). I would go somewhere else if I had a choice.
Deepak Ozhathil
Delicious food, went her for a work event. Would highly recommend. Very professional and prompt service, great environment! Would highly recommend.
David Ayala-Alfonso
For a Seafood restaurant, they're surprisingly bad with getting cooking time right. The best in the menu is not Seafood by the way: cauliflower grits.
Marlo Mrak
Small, but mighty! Seaworthy lives up to it's name. Wait staff are superb, food is outstanding. A must if in New Orleans.
Linda Roberts
Nothing spectacular. Good fries. Not many gluten free options. Limited menu. Atmosphere upstairs was lacking. Blah.
Michel Cellier
The food was amazing. We tried almost everything from the menu and it was delicious. Amazing job on the service side also. We had a knowledgeable server, she could answer every single questions about. Worth it
Courtney Toms Morgan
So cute inside. Very cozy. Great drinks. Excellent food. Be sure to ask for the house made oyster crackers!
Mikael Colville-Andersen
Two nights spent here. Sitting at the bar was epic. Great service - friendly and professional. Loved it. Sat at a table and massive service fail. Indifferent, invisible service that irritated all seven of us.
Ray Rodriguez
A little pricier than I was expecting but the oysters were great and our server was helpful.
Taryn Alexandros
Made reservations for a birthday visit. The area to wait for a table is awkward and in the way of everyone, but that is the only complaint. The food is great and the service was wonderful. Their location is great too walkable to a lot in the area.
John Golden
Cozy oyster bar. I enjoyed the crawfish roll. Service was excellent. If you like Oysters this is the place to go.
Brian King
Excellent food and drinks. Redfish and burger were fantastic. 1/2 off oysters for happy hour.
Andrew Mathewes
Had all the east and west coast oysters: delish. Add to that ceviche and some amazing pork belly, plus some bubbly. Great place
Jamell Tate
The east coast oysters taste like the ocean!
Happy hour is the best time to enjoy these delicious sea treasures

Dominic Monkhouse
Great food, great atmosphere, somewhat slow service, still had a great night.
Edit - I went back! 2nd time around it wasn't as busy and the food was equally sensational. Service the 2nd time was tip top. Eat here!
Les Zmolik

Everything was amazing but service was slightly off putting. The hostess looked like she'd rather be anywhere else. Service took a good while to be initiated. So did the second round.
