Reviews of Restaurant R'evolution

Amazing. Our group of 6 dined here for New Years Eve and it was fantastic. From the greeting at the front door, hostesses, and servers....everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. Our servers were knowledgeable and passionate about the food. They were helpful in choosing our drinks and entrees.
I can't stop gushing about how great everything was.
David Best
Incredible. Everything was fantastic from the ambiance to the service to the wonderful food, it was a perfect night. Our servers Rory and Sheila were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very attentive. Their recommendations were spot on and every dish was cooked to perfection. Wife said it was the best birthday dinner she's ever had. We'll definitely be back.

The VIP experience for (a party of 4) was incredible. The valet attendant was both professional and courteous. The host staff was polite and accommodating. The bar staff were skilled and knew their role; the wine list, cocktails, and overall atmosphere were excellent. The staff was attentive from start to finish, with a general manager actively assisting other staff and interacting with guests. Dashaun and Sheila were our servers. Both had an impressive knowledge of the menu with detailed descriptions of the food and its preparation. When presented, it was beautiful and delicious. And although not expected, however, welcomed nonetheless, when chef Donald took the time to sit and chat with us about our experience. Five stars! Outstanding food and service!
***The blue crab beignets are extraordinary.

Celebrated our anniversary here tonight. Erica and Travis were phenomenal with the service! Dishes were coursed out with little downtime in between. Highly recommend and would definitely dine here again.
Jen Clark
Had reservation for Easter Brunch and definitely no disappointment. The food was appetizing to the palate. The waiter took the time to explain each dish. Will definitely return next time I'm in NOLA.

Hands down one of my Top Five Favorite New Orleans Restaurants.
If it’s not the stunning decor and ambience it’s the drinks. If it’s not the drinks it’s the service. If it’s not the service it’s the absolutely delectable cuisine.
Seriously - this is some of the best food in all of the city. The Death by Gumbo is literally one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. The shrimp and egg crepe is also spectacular.
I cannot wait to return.
Christopher Peart
Amazing place. Fabulous food! Staff is friendly and will take great care of you. Started out with the crab beignets. The turtle soup is amazing! The triptych of quail was really good as was the redfish. We enjoyed it so much, we went back a second night. Shrimp and grits was outstanding (and I really don't like grits). The venison was out of this world. Tried dessert this time. Really enjoyed the bananas foster affogato and Caribbean sunset

Had a LOVELY Coolinary dinner here this weekend.
I have no complaints. Everything was great. My favorite part was definitely the service, I believe his name was Jason? I'm always missing opportunities to give out my phone number 😜
He was the pre-meal snack 🤣
But seriously, the venue is lovely, the menu was beautiful, the food it's self was divine, my cocktail was perfectly crafted and so aromatic.
I definitely recommend for coolinary, it was very affordable all things considered. Anything connected to a hotel is going to be more expensive than it should be, just because they can, so it's a great way to experience a place that might not normally be an option for locals.
Bon appetit!

Amazing 10,000 bottle wine cellar, with food even better than the wine! Definitely some of the best food in New Orleans. I would have given this restaurant 6 stars, other than dessert wasn't very special. Impeccable and helpful service, the waitress helped guide us through the massive wine list, and gave us a selection of recommendations on the tablet to choose from. Also, definitely ask to start with a split appetizer of the crab beignets and short rib boudin, both tastes are a must. And the lobster tagliatelle was some of the best pasta and sauce we've had in a long time. We finished with the bananas foster affogato, which was fine, but basically just an affogato with banana ice cream, nothing flambeed or that special compared with everything else.
Blake P
Awesome! Second time here and everything was awesome from the service to the food to the wine list. No complaints from my end. The charcuterie plate was great all around. I feel that things were well priced also
Paolo Dal Gallo
Nice restaurant. Service was slow at the beginning but was better during the dinner. Nice menu. Top quality ingredients. Lovely Negroni cocktails . Try because it is worth

This is in the top 3 restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining at. I've been lucky enough to dine at some of the best restaurants in the country thanks to my job and I can honestly say this place will change your opinion of fine dining. Perfection on every level!
Mary Rainey
Incredible. We arrived to our reservation early and had a few drinks and appetizers at the bar. The staff both at the bar and in the dining room were experts in recommendations for pairings and palates. The turtle soup is velvety and rich, the triptych of quail is as delicious as it is fun. Even the humble pimento cheese is elevated by caviar. A perfect first dinner in NOLA
Phyllis Washington
Lovely ambiance as well. Very impressive wine selection! Everything was fabulous, including the surprise amuse bouche. Also loved the caviar addition to the oysters. The price was not exorbitant at all, very reasonable for what we ordered, especially with such great quality and service!
Jon Pugeda
Hands down the best restaurant I dined in during my stay in New Orleans. Literally EVERYTHING was incredible. And we ordered most everything on the menu. From the Oysters on the Half Shell R'evolution Style, the Brick Oven Roasted Bone Marrow, the strawberry Foie Gras, the Jamón Ibérico, the torchon, Beer-Battered Crab Beignets, and the Cheese Cart selection. This was just the appetizers, and accompanied by a 1998 Dom Perignon.
For entrees we tried the Quail Three Ways, Beef Cheek Stroganov, Rotissreie Pheasant, Braised Boneless Short Ribs, and Stuffed Saddle of Lamb and was accompanied by a Caymus Select. The bourbon selection here is best in class. They had Hirsch! The best bourbon you'll never get to taste!! We tasted it. lIl never miss an opportunity to go here when I'm in NOLA, neither should you.
Lauren Parkes
Great experience. Fantastic cheese board. Amazing death by gumbo. Great strawberry salad. My husband loved his fish. I loved my rabbit. Delicious cocktails. I asked them to being out two oysters and a candle for my husband for his bday because he doesn't like sweets and they brought out a beautiful plate with two oysters on ice with happy birthday written in chocolate. It made our night. What fantastic service!

Not to be dramatic, but this is the absolute best restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my life. I really didn’t know a lot about this place before I came here with my family (I mostly was just skeptical of the $$$$ price tag), but boy was I surprised. Every single thing about this place: the ambience, the service, the selection, the quality of ingredients and creativity of each dish, etc. blew every other restaurant out of the water. I’ve noticed sometimes the service at restaurants in New Orleans can be so southern and over the top it’s almost uncomfortable to be a guest there … this is not at all how I felt here. It was a perfect balance. I will return to New Orleans simply to eat here again. I wish I took more pictures, but I was too busy enjoying myself
Tiffany S
Had a wonderful birthday dinner here! The food, the service, and the ambience were amazing. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. I would recommend 100%
Ali Franzen
Swanky restaurant in the Sonesta hotel. Really delicious meal. Blue crab beignets and steak tartar were amazing. Black garlic and lobster linguine also fantastic. Really well prepared steaks. Strong cocktails. The charred citrus old fashioned was made perfectly.
Daniel P. Burgdorf
Probably the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. See the photos I’ve posted - EVERYTHING was delicious. The service from Rory was top-notch. Went with a few of his recommendations and I’m glad I did. Some of the best service I’ve ever gotten. Thank you Rory!!!
Dana Hermann
The food was amazing. The atmosphere and vibe were great. The 45 day aged ribeye was to die for. What really made this night stand out though was Dashaun. He took care of us like we were family visiting in from out of town. Truly a master of his craft with a personality that lit up the room. His recommendations and knowledge guided us through what I would say was the most memorable and exceptional dining experience my wife and I have ever had. We’ve been to some of the finest restaurants in the country but he made this meal stand shoulders above them all. We will be back and we know who’s section we will ask for.
Jamie Holifield
We had one of my favorite dining experiences ever. There are so many unbelievably tempting menu items that we were stuck by the time our waiter, Kevin, came to check on us. After telling him our predicament, he said he could course our meal to give us a fun dining experience, and he did it in the most perfect and well executed way imaginable. Every item we tried was portioned and appropriately sent out. We tried the heirloom tomato and burrata salad (wow), the pâté terrine, turtle soup (one of their specialties), steak tartare (wow), pan seared foie gras (unbelievable), wild boar bolognese (my favorite pasta), short rib tagliatelle (my boyfriend’s favorite pasta), bone marrow (wow), the quail trinity (undeniably fun), the bananas fosters affogato (divine), and the peach semifreddo (one of the most creative and refreshing desserts I’ve ever had). We were beyond impressed! Thank you to Kevin for a perfect experience!
Ericka
Phenomenal! We are NOLA natives and tried this place for the first time. Drinks are fantastic, food is delicious, and the service is impeccable (Travis was everything you’d hope for in a server)! Get the future ball drink and blue crab beignets!
Nae
Our waitress J was amazing as well as the rest of the service staff. She went out of her way to make sure my fiancé order was correct due to allergies. We had the quail and fish those were good. The death gumbo wasn't all that great to me. Will be back to try something else.

New Orleans is home to culinary giants - family-owned establishments that have been running for generations. Restaurant R’evolution is a new type of culinary giant offering a refreshing spin on old favorites and generally blowing the competition out of the water. Like Arnaud’s and other NOLA classics, the ambiance and service at R’evolution are exceptional. No detail is overlooked as a team of three cater to your every need and accompany you through your journey. We were blessed to have a wonderful, entertaining evening with Tina, Nicholas, and Travis. (Ask Travis to display R’evolution’s incredible drink decanters, and you’ll be in for an added treat.)
Each plate was exquisite. The dishes are comprised of high-quality, hard-to-find ingredients that convey the proprietors’ need for excellence. Each course is plated with such care, and an artistic touch so beautiful, you almost don't want to destroy the perfection. The colors, flavors and textures combine to please the senses at every turn.
Our four-course leisurely meal lasted two and a half hours, during which we were consistently wowed throughout the evening. We travel often and fine dine at many establishments, and my partner and I both ranked this meal in our top three experiences. (Second only to establishments in Paris, the Sichuan Province of China, and Rio de Janeiro). R’evolution offers the complete dining experience at a price we felt was more than reasonable given its incredible nature, and R’evolution has earned a spot on our restaurant rotation list when we return to NOLA.

Wonderful food and the service was top notch. Deshaun and Justina (Tina), were charming, funny, and made my wife's and I anniversary special. The blue crab beignets we're amazing, as was the shrimp and grits. I myself had the creole bouillabaisse and it too was tasty. Forgetting the name but the peanut butter ganache cake was delectable. The wine choices were great. We had a half bottle of Pinot noir and despite having seafood was perfect for the meal. We left stuffed and satisfied.
Adrian Baudy (Adrian Baudy IV)
The food was just ok... Presentation was amazing and the service team of 3 great. The drinks were skid with the future ball being the highlight. Would recommend checking it out but not a repeat restaurant in my opinion. Frog legs were actually really good, my such was not
Javier Evans
Excellent food and service. The gumbo was tasty appetizer. The beef with pasta and lobster with pasta were terrific entrees. Kevin and Peter were our wait staff and they were attentive and very helpful with the menu options.
Megan Metzler
Absolutely incredible. We went last evening. And here's what to know--
THE FOOD:
This is Creole elevated to new levels. The dishes are simple but presented beautifully and embody the flavors of the city and the people who make NoLa as charming as it is. The seafood is as fresh as it gets and the land meats melt in your mouth. Notable bites included (but certainly were not limited to) the crab beignets and wood fired oysters, the "pig out board" with the chef's choices of charcuterie and the short ribs with lobster. The restaurant offers a thorough and impressively curated wine and spirit list, boasting a 10,000 bottle cellar from single serve bottles of bubbly to a conversation-worthy $650 cocktail.
THE AMBIANCE:
Again, using the word "elevated" for this category. Moderately French influenced interior that's an easy bridge between unpretentious and fine dining. The space has a warmth about it, with various dining rooms of similar but different aesthetics, and a visible kitchen, complete with a wood fired oven. We love fine dining, but many times the ambiance can make one feel "out of place" despite having a phenomenal experience otherwise. Restaurant R'evolution provides a nice dining aesthetic without the pretense.
THE SERVICE:
Our Table Captain was Kevin Mont Rich. All I can say is that he knows food and wine and his guests. Kevin and his team were incredibly attentive, more than accommodating and polite to everyone in the room, and guided us through each course that made ordering a large selection from the menu much more than an enjoyable dining experience. We enjoyed the conversation, his candidness and the other recommendations of what to see/do/and eat in the city during the rest of our stay. The doorman (who we unfortunately never got his name) kindly stayed with us until our Uber arrived and proceeded to walk us across the street and open and close the car door in less than favorable weather conditions. The kindness and impressive service start to end is an EASY 10/10. The establishment is beyond lucky to have both of them tending to their guests. Thank you, Kevin, for the phenomenal dining experience and the best meal we've encountered in many years.
Don't walk, RUN to Restaurant R'evolution (and tell Kevin we said hi!)
Leonard Mason
Took my wife for her birthday dinner and this did not disappoint. Absolutely everything tasted phenomenal and our server Jay was just perfect
Phil Sigler
Fabulous restaurant with wonderful service!
We had turtle soup for our first time and really enjoyed it! The rack of lamb was absolutely perfect!
Our server Daniel was super friendly and fun!
Nicholas Thom
What could we possibly say that would do justice to the incredible food, staff and service? Outstanding!! From the incredible dishes to the even more amazing staff. Not only do I recommend this place, not only will I be back, but I will bring friends. I will come back every time we are in NOLA.
Tina was incredible, warm and on point with everything. DeShawn was fantastic, energetic, passionate and made us feel like we were with family. The menu chef Sam has designed highlights everything that is right with food and New Orleams and manages to make it so unique from anything else you will experience in NOLA. Danielle's dessert creations are so soulful but decadent and elegantly plated.
The noise and chaos of Bourbin Street stops as soon as you cross the threshold of this charming and elegant French quarter gem.
Thank you for making the night of our engagement even more special. Thank you for treating us like your family.
Tanya Kaiser
Dinner was amazing. We started with the carpaccio. I had the visiting fish which was softshell crab and finished with the bread pudding. Every bite was delicious!

This restaurant has a vibe that needs to be experienced! My husband chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and I will love him forever for this meal. Our server was Isaac who was the best on helping us decide what to chose from the menu. Thanks Restaurant Revolution and a special thanks to Isaac for making our anniversary one to remember

Tldr - Go eat at Restaurant R'evolution.
If you want a great fine dining experience in NOLA, you'd better not miss Restaurant R'evolution. There are so many reasons this place is great that's it's hard to build a short review.
First, Justina and DeShaun were amazing. Listening to Justina talk about the menu was like hearing some amazing spoken word. I have an allergy, but she knew the menu so well that she was able to really help make sure I'd be good. When dropping off food, both Justina and DeShaun presented food at the level of (and even better than) other service professionals we've experienced at Michelin Star restaurants.
Next is the wine list. There's an older list, and it's presented on an iPad, so you know it's up to date with the products. My husband is a sommelier, so when he looks at it and is impressed with the selection and the pricing, that's a good sign for what's available and what you'll pay.
Finally, the food itself is brilliantly paired and presented. The food was fresh and flavorful. The tableside broth service is such a baller way to do things. The salad course was surprisingly large. All items were expertly flavored, and at no point was there ever any need to supplement the chef's vision with salt, pepper, or anything like that. We tend to order too much food, but we always want to course out the meal and try as much as possible. Justina and DeShaun helped pace it out so that our experience was tops and driven by our personal preferences, not the need to turn a table.
I should also address the establishment itself because there's real effort put into the design and standards being kept, but that would make for a much longer review. Instead, I'll keep it simple: the design is beautiful and pleasing to the eye. A somewhat open kitchen gives a nice view of the passionate professionals as they prepare your meals.

This place is Amazing. "J" and Erica were awesome. Great Food Experience.
Treated my daughter for her 18th Birthday like roalty.

My husband chose this place for one of our honeymoon dinners and I’m so glad he did. Best steak of my life and the service there is absolutely incredible. Loved our waiter Isaac so much! This restaurant will always be on our list to go back to when we’re in New Orleans again
Jade Edwards
Incredible food and service! I would highly recommend this place to anyone! The drinks were great, and all the courses were amazing.
Patrick Weber
This place cares about the experience. Every dish is the best of what it aims to be. We come back to New Orleans for Restaurant Revolution and benchmark every dish from "1 to Restaurant Revolution". It's pricey, but do it once and marvel about how often the experience will come up in your daily life!
Anna Marie Rubio
5 star service. We ate at bar. The staff was awesome. Food to die for .
Emily M
My favorite dining experience while in NOLA. Only thing better than the 5-star food, was the 10-star service. All staff members were wonderful, but Issac was exceptional! He was knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive, and knew how to make sure you were having a great time! Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.
Zarrina B
Hands down the most amazing dining experience my husband and I had our entire trip in New Orleans! The food was absolutely delicious and the waitstaff were all wonderful. Lovely ambiance as well. Very impressive wine selection! Everything was fabulous, including the surprise amuse bouche. Also loved the caviar addition to the oysters. The price was not exorbitant at all, very reasonable for what we ordered, especially with such great quality and service!

When it comes to fine dining in New Orleans, don’t miss R’evolution. The chefs are a bit more adventurous than most, but that doesn’t mean they lose sight of Louisiana’s rich culinary heritage. The restaurant and bar area are both tastefully decorated, and the space feels elegant yet warm and inviting. The recommendations at the bar and my table was impeccable, and my server did a great job assembling a menu for me that showcased the kitchen’s specialties and skill. Definitely go with the suggested wine parings here, and dare I say a scotch or bourbon based digestif.
Don’t miss the crab beignets, they’re light and airy inside and the breading is crispy and not too thick. They were served with 2 different sauces (or 4 different sauces for the larger order of 4). The lobster gnocchi with vanilla was also well executed, and a very interesting combination that I thought worked quite well. Scallops and foie were perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and left me very satisfied.
I would recommend a light lunch or a late seating, at least if your palate errs on the heavier side. (mine clearly does) As you might expect, this restaurant books up quickly so use a quality concierge or make sure to call well in advance for reservations.
Madison Perry
Food was incredible, atmosphere was so charming and romantic and the service was impeccable. Issac was our server and we loved him. Request him if you are able to, he did an excellent job of making us feel celebrated, well taken care of and satisfied.
Jnique Bryan
The restaurant down the the service was awesome. I has the wagyu short rib with lobster tails leeks and bitter greens. I paired it with a red wine. It was amazing. The short ribs literally melted in your mouth. There was also a squash sauce spread across the plate that was awesome.
DeAndra Flowers
This was probably one of my best dining experiences. The food was amazing, I started with the stuffed beignets, amazing! The quail was recommended, cooked three different ways, it was a large portion, and ended with sorbet, PINEAPPLE JALAPENO SORBET! Our waiter was DeShawn and he recommended the best entrees for my guest and I. DeShawn described and paired our drinks with the best dinner options. I ordered smothered greens to have as a side dish... GET THEM! We ordered another portion to go lol. If you're in New Orleans, you must have dinner here.
Snehal Bhatt
Another one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans!! Everything is spectacular, and the menu is quite diverse. We ordered the blue crab beignets, fire roasted oysters, sea scallops and the waygu short ribs with lobster. Cocktails were outstanding as well.
Doreen Prokopiak
Omg a party of 6 girls had dinner there one week ago. One of the best eating experience we have ever had. The staff was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. As for the food it was outrageous, as well as the drinks. We had a variety of dishes suggested by the staff and they were right on. I recommend this restaurant to everyone
Chip
What an honor to be able to chow down at this culinary delight. One of our favorite memories during our two year mission to eat our way through the USA. We met my Mom here right before Covid hit fully. Great city, Great food, I’ll share a couple more places we enjoyed. Not a bad meal while in New Orleans!
Michelle
We had Christmas Day Brunch here. Food was incredible and service 5 star. Was an expensive meal but you get what you pay for. The Rib Eye was divine. Highly recommend.
Amanda Haggard
Fabulous! Seriously one of the best meals we’ve had. We visited for our anniversary, & every single dish was special down to the sourdough bread & cane syrup butter. The foie gras was sublime, octopus was perfectly cooked, & the wild boar bolognese is definitely more than the sum of its parts- an elevated, seasoned to perfection red sauce with house-made tagliatelle. Service was stellar. It’s truly a lovely experience start to finish.
Christopher Allen
First and foremost the food was delicious. Best meal we had over the weekend and we had great food all weekend long. Special recognition goes to Dashaun...simply the best. If you visit request his section...you won't regret the experience.
Ronald Michael, Jr. (Ronnie Mike)
I wish I could give 10 stars. Rory and Sheila were great. Great food, great environment. Will come back.
Jenell Pizarro
Lovely and knowledgeable service.
Drinks were well-crafted. They even had several options for mezcal.
We got there just in time for the reveal of the new menu. The yellow fin tuna with beet root and bone marrow was delicious as was the qual three ways.
Summer Gilchrist-Derrick
Dashaun and Tina did a fantastic job! On point with knowledge of the food, service was AMAZING! Jose recommended fantastic wines! Going back the next time we go to NOLA!
Donna Tate
Interesting menu, many choices including a few vegetarian dishes. I had the foie gras appetizer, a squash/pasta dish with the wine pairing, and my husband and I split the bread pudding dessert. The meal was delicious, and the friendly, attentive staff helped make our evening very special.
Monica Samayoa
Had Thanksgiving dinner for a group of six. Wish I could say we were impressed, but we weren’t. Staff was very unfriendly. Service was probably the worst and the food left us wanting more. We ended up leaving and going to eat at a dive where we got much better food and service.
Keeping Up With KADESHA M
My party of 9 rented out the Chef Office Dining Room to celebrate a friends 30th and it was a very intimate and stellar experience. Though pricey, we thought it was worth it. Our servers, Travis & Erica, were so personable and full of humor....we all appreciated their presence!!
In terms of the food, everything was a hit except the Shrimp & Grits and the Spiced Pumpkin Bread Pudding Crème Brûlée for us. We LOVED the oysters, boudin, crab beignets, seafood gumbo & the fire roasted short ribs!!! The filet was also good but a bit too charred. Cocktails were flowing & delicious.
I'd highly recommend booking here. Make sure you look up the dress code as men need a collared shirt.
J W
I went here for a birthday dinner (pre-covid). It was a great experience! Elegant, yet cozy atmosphere. Everything was good and our server was awesome. Loved the crab beignets and pork belly. We also enjoyed the little dessert treats they give after dinner.
Benjamin Fraden
I came here on the last day of my honeymoon. I had extremely good service and good food. They ended up giving us 3 extra desserts for free after we told them what we were there for!
Len Goldkind
DeShawn was an amazing waiter! He knew the menu intimately, the wine list equally well the food was superb and the service was impeccable. Deserves a Michelin star!
Michael Calore
This is a culinary experience is a must while in NOLA- creole and southern creations crafted my masters in an upscale yet charming atmosphere. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Pricey, but one of the few places you definitely get your money's worth.
Lindsay Wells
The food was amazing, and the staff was INCREDIBLE! Our waiter Rory was so incredibly nice and was so helpful. The setting is gorgeous also. Go here!
Chris Bing
Yummy. We were recommended this place by our cooking class chef. Aside from having to wait 30 minutes from our booking time to be seated (but good cocktails while you wait), service was very good. Death by Gumbo was delicious, with the rice and sausage packed under a quail and the rest of the sauce served at the table. The venison shank was also very good. Dessert was a sight letdown, chocolate layers overwhelmed by the creamy ones. The bonus cabinet full of sweets was more interesting and fun.
Pablo Tapia
The waitstaff is impressively knowledgeable. Of course the food is of high caliber, with creative creations from two chefs from different culinary schools, you will have a fantastic experience of decadence and and pleasure. The portions are generous, and the ambiance is just right. However the prices are a little high for the quality of the preparation. Don’t give me wrong the food is great, but it’s not life changing.
Daniel
We went to famously nice places, Brennan's and Commander's Palace, and of course they were amazing, but this restaurant beat both of them, in taste of food, service and atmosphere. If you can only go to one, go here for sure.
Tina was our waitress and she was awesome.
Tak Yan
Does this place have a Michelin star? Because the experience I had felt like it. Everyone was super attentive and gave us some great recommendation. The sommelier even helped my friend choose a wine when the one my friend wanted was sold out. All the food looked like small plate but their flavor was bold and I actually got full ordering a 3 course meal. Hands down get their snapping turtle soup and chicken fried foie gras. Highly recommend.
Eric Meadows
So this place is on spot with everything they're doing. Started with a perfect bloody mary at the bar while waiting for everyone in our group to arrive. Then into the dining room for brunch where a trio was playing live at the perfect volume to hear their music and still have a conversation at your table without yelling or straining to hear one another. The menu was beautifully balanced to accommodate the many different taste preferences at our table. Service was impeccable. And the food arrived with a flourishing delivery, almost too pretty to eat...but we did and everything was fantastic. I only wished I'd been able to eat more so I could continue tasting the various dishes. This place should be high on your list if you're looking for the richness and bold, diverse flavors of New Orleans.
Christopher Williams
This is not hard to explain. It was just PERFECT! No other dining experience I've encountered even compares. First and foremost, Issac and Daniel. BOTH of these Gentleman are truly The Cream Of The Crop! Beyond fantastic. I can go on for awhile here. These men treated my wife and I like we were the Commander In Chief and the First Lady. The Food? FLAWLESS. No complaints, I don't even like liver! I DO NOW. This establishment put a smile on our faces from ear to ear. From the greeting, to the rest facilities, to wine and cocktails, the atmosphere, the EXPERIENCE! THANK YOU RESTAURANT R'EVOLUTION! You are well worth the pricing and tips. WELL DONE! WELL DONE! The ABSOLUTE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE in New Orelans! Thank you so much for making our anniversary dinner one to remember forever. You have our gratitude. Again I can go on and on about this place. Beyond Professionalism and Service. Do NOT ROB yourself of visiting this restaurant. Shame on you if you do. That's just my opinion.
Atman Dave
Quite a hefty menu. Wait staff was excellent. However, the actual food was so so. Salads were anemic. The entrees were decent, with the fish and steak as the strong points. Cocktails were solid. Overall given the price I would have expected a bit more from the kitchen.
P Lue
Very lovely place to dine while in New Orleans. The wait staff was amazing and very kind. Food was delightful.
Alicia M.
I had an enjoyable meal at Restaurant Revolution. While I’d say the food was a 3.5, the service is a solid 5. We had multiple servers who kept the meal running smoothly as we transitioned from course to course. While I’d like to say I started off with the $650 Tricentennial Sazerac, I started with the $16 Charred Citrus Old Fashioned. That drink was everything!! They also brought us various types of breads, with French Butter and a Cane Sugar Butter. 2 of the 3 breads were really good. The gumbo was good, but not the best I’ve had. However, I did enjoy how they served it (poured the roux on table side). The crab beignets were a letdown because they tasted more like grease than anything else. For my entree, I had the Triptych of Quail. Ummmmm, I’m kinda at a lost for words. It was very basic and average. For $37, I expected a lot more. The dessert menu glowed which was super cool. I had the Creole Cream Cheese Bread Pudding Creme Brûlée. It was literally all of that in one...very different, but I enjoyed it. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here again.
Megan Cortney
By far one of the best restaurants we ate at during our honeymoon to NOLA. Made a reservation in advance and was blown away by the wonderful service and many included treats with our meal! Appetizer was compliments of the chef and something different every day apparently! Bread and the congratulatory dessert AS WELL as the jewelery box full of treats that came with the check at the end of our meal. The food and drinks were delicious and full of flavor. Amazing and will definitely come again when we revisit NOLA.
Catharina Goldnau
We had two dishes at the bar, turtle soup and the quail stuffed with gumbo. While the presentation was very nice, both plates did not quite live up to expectations taste-wise. The turtle soup tasted somewhat off, the stuffed quail, while tasty, sported an interior rice that seemed to miss the gumbo essence.

This was our first visit to the Restaurant R'evolution on our first night in New Orleans. It is located in the French Quarter section of New Orleans. The first thing that I noticed when I approached the restaurant was that there was no neon sign identifying it, the sign was lit by the street light, the same way that the shops on the street have been lighted since the 1800's.
I can only describe this restaurant as elegant. Your every need is addressed from the time you enter to the time you leave. All the food is cooked to perfection and served in style. Service is provided by a team of servers, so your everything is on time.
After our cocktails were served and we were reviewing the menu, we were served a Veal amuse-bouche, a gift from the Chef. It was delicious.
The Fiorchatta bread was served with a sweet butter, regular butter and Virgin Olive Oil. I could have made a meal out of the combination of Fiorchatta bread and sweet butter alone.
For an appetizer I had Oysters on the Half Shell R'evolution Style: Radish Chimichurri Salsa and Bloody Mary Granita. A really unique taste for a person who normally likes his oysters plain, definitely worth another round.
For the main course we both had the 8-oz Filet Mignon with Gruyere Potato au Gratin. I also had a side of Sautéed Mushrooms. Both steaks were cooked to perfection. Only a few steakhouses can properly prepare a Pittsburg style steak (charred on the outside with a cool red center) and the Restaurant R'evolution is one of them.
For desert my wife had the Creole Cream Cheese Bread Pudding Crème Brûlée. It looked different from most bread puddings she has had, but she loved the taste. I had a special desert called the Crown Royal, or something like that. It was a brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that had a center of peanut butter covered in chocolate with pecans, decant. I also had a cup of Irish Coffee.
While preparing the bill, they gratuitously brought a 4 compartment "jewelry box" with baked treats in each compartment. They don't want you to leave hungry.
Considering the ambience, service, quality of the food (especially the preparation of the steak) and the price, I have given them 5 stars and we will definitely be returning the next time we are in New Orleans and I highly recommend that if you get a chance experience this restaurant.

Dining here was such a fun and pleasant experience. The food doesn't disappoint, the ambiance is stellar, and the staff is engaging. Throughout dinner we had tasters sent put from the kitchen letting us have a glimpse into the plates we hadn't ordered. Thanks to a personal connection, we had the chance to tour the kitchen and wine cellars. The design of each room is an experience unto itself. Try the port royal cocktail (what a unique flavor for any cocktail connoisseur- went back to have a pre dinner drink there the next night!).

R'Evolution is an elegant restaurant with superb cuisine. To begin, one of my friends ordered traditional gumbo and loved it and I had the red beet salad. We split a 4-piece rack of lamb, as did our two dinner companions. All of us enjoyed the lamb. Sides of Brussels sprouts and asparagus were perfect accompaniments.
We ordered a couple of desserts, three panoffas and a "strawberry" dessert (which didn't contain any discernable strawberries). I must say that the desserts were the only part of the meal that could be improved upon. That said, an energizing double cappuccino partially compensated for the disappointing desserts. Additionally, I must confess that my glass of a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir was fantastic.
Although the wait staff was very professional, fitting a restaurant of this caliber, my friends felt that they seemed a bit robotic. Perhaps that was because we had a late 8:45pm reservation. Their body language suggested that we move along.
Just as we received a tasty amuse-bouche after being seated, our meal was thoughtfully capped off by a little jewelry box whose drawers contained several varieties of home baked cookies. As expected, R'Evolution was not inexpensive but we felt it was worth every penny!

The ambiance is phenomenal in this restaurant. We had a private room with approximately 10 people next to the wine cellar. Food was good but the service is what made this place exceptional.

If you are in New Orleans a must try is this restaurant. The food and service was impeccable. We had the Black Truffle beef Tartar, Expresso Crusted Veal Carpaccio, Seafood Gumbo, Rabbit Natchez, 40oz Tomahawk steak. Every dish was cooked to perfection.
Jon A
Easily one of the top 3 restaurants in New Orleans. Incredibly creative menu executed perfectly and presented by a very knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff. A definite "must" for any serious foodie.
Allen Bourne
Outstanding food and atmosphere with wine cellar that houses some unbelievable bottles. One of New Orleans top eateries in our opinion.
jessica tran
The atmosphere from beginning to end was amazing. Issac who was one of our servers made us feel welcome and helped explain a lot of the dishes. The food was spectacular. I could not recommend a better place!
Chris H.
An excellent meal and overall dinning experience in the French Quarter. Trust your servers recommendations as mine was perfect! Don't stress over desserts as the small sweet taste you get with the bill was plenty for my table.
Robert Carte
Me and my wife recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and was not the least disappointed. We got to take pictures with the head chef (who mind you is only 23 years old) and our server for the evening who made the experience just that much more awesome. Amazing service amazing food amazing experience. Also recieved a signed copy of John Folse Encylepedia of cajun and creole cuisine. What more could you ask for
Richard Pagano
Wow. Just wow. Awesome service, delicious food. Death by gumbo is a must. Try the pork chop too. Really, everything is fantastic. Try the chard old fashioned too.
Special thanks to Scott for being accommodating and providing excellent customer service!

If I had to pick 1 restaurant in NOLA to visit, this would be the one! Service from Rory and his team was impeccable; steak was cooked to perfection; and the setting was just beautiful. We had gorgeous cocktails in the bar just before heading in for dinner...then walked through beautiful dining rooms, all just a bit different to reach our table. The beer battered crab beignet and the oysters were outstanding. Our steaks were absolute perfection...filet and a ribeye. Go...you will not be disappointed!!
Jimika Shuler
Absolutely loved everything! Went with my husband to celebrate my 35th birthday and I chose this restaurant because he said he always wanted to try a Tomahawk Steak. The food was so good, I hugged the chef. Everything was so flavorful but not overpowering. The staff was professional yet relatable. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience!!

Atmosphere = Genius. Antique mirrors and picture frames set the scene of fine dining.
Service = phenomenal. Bobby was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He perfectly paired beverages for each of my courses. Cocktails and wine complimented and elevated my already perfect food.
Highly recommend the blue crabbeignet, and the potted meats. I am sure everything is amazing, but the large portions filled me up before I could order everything on the menu. The price was fine, don't let the four dollar signs deter you, there are plenty of amazing options even if you are on a budget. Sure you could ball out on a $600 cocktail, or a $2000 bottle of wine but you will have the same if not a better experience if you just ask what's good, affordable, and pairs well. Go here. Eat dinner. Take your time. Enjoy yourself. Feel amazing.

We had the absolute best experience! Sierra & Rory were our servers & made our dinner there such a lovely experience. It was like being served by two of our friends. So kind & outgoing. The food was out of this world, we savored every bite. Anytime we’re visiting New Orleans we will be stopping here for a dinner!

Amazing food. Amazing service. One of a kind Experience!
From the flavorful gumbo, to the delicious beignets, to the smoked cedar planked Redfish...there was not one dish that disappointed me or our group. Price was up there but it was worth every penny of it.
Here's a quick pro tip for you...ask for Rory and his group to host your table. Was exceptional in his review of the menu and recommendations...service was remarkable...and was a signature piece to a great evening with family and friends.
Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes through New Orleans and is looking for an authentic bayou experience!
Travis S
Amazing dining experience , amazing food , Travis was one of the most passionate and knowledgeable servers I've ever experienced
K M
This is now one of my favorite restaurants. I still catch myself day dreaming about the blue crab beignets and the duck ravioli. We enjoyed the whole experience.
Jimmy Francis
Wow, one of the best services I've had at a restaurant! The waiter and manager were very attentive, pleasant, and nice! They were very accommodating and gave recommendations for splitting and modifying the food for our party.
The food itself is good. Could've been better for the price. The crawfish mac n cheese is kind of bland. The Bolognese, Triple Quail, and the Fire roasted oysters are the best items we had. The 48oz steak was pretty good too, but not as good as the dishes mentioned above.
The drinks were strong and good, but not world class. These were the best I had during my week at NOLA.
Jillian Rose
The ambiance was wonderful, such beautiful murals on the walls. The staff were top notch and the food was delightfully delicious.

EXQUISITE AND DECADENT DINNER SUNDAY NIGHT! Impeccable service from Trevor, Rory, and Christopher for the two of us! Extensive wine selections! Fabulously designed and prepared were all the dishes! At a heartbeat, I’d come back over and over again for their “Death by Gumbo”; “Seared Sea Scallops and Foie Gras”; and, “Creole Cream Cheese Bread Pudding Creme Brûlée”! Beautiful, romantic, and attention to smallest of details, like with purse stools, is RR’s setting! Smiling still!
Anastasia Anderson
Crab beignets and death by gumbo were amazing!! I just really wanted more of each of the sauces, like little ramekins, I know that ruins the presentation a lot but they were so good.
The server assistant was very knowledgeable and everyone who touched our table was very helpful and professional. The host even offered a first round of drinks for our wait and the doorman made nice conversation with us while we looked at the menu.
Emily Grandgeorge
The food, location and atmosphere were great. Our servers J and Nick were amazing. I suggest getting the Short Ribs and Lobster. We are visiting but if we lived here I would bring my friends and family back to this place everyday and twice on Sunday.
Michelle Van Allen (Shelly)
This was a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Our wait team were all professional and knowledgeable about the menu and extensive wine list. The presentation throughout was pleasing without being pretentious.
I got the turtle soup followed by the milk-fed veal cutlet and both were flavorful and delicious. For dessert I had the French 75, which is a champagne sorbet with meringue that delicately melts in your mouth without being too filling. The rest of my group got steak, scallops, and oysters and were also quite pleased with their meals.
As a nice finishing touch, we were presented with a box of sweet breads and truffles to enjoy with our coffee, complements of the house.
Drew “Yvonne” Mason
Lovely warm ambiance, outstanding service, and absolutely amazing food! Food was rich and flavourful, with graceful presentation.
Mike741776
Foods was very good, dessert didn’t thrill me. Serious was a bit spotty for the price.
Katy Allen
Absolutely incredible fusion of flavors, servers were extremely attentive, just everything you would expect at fine dining establishment. You will not be disappointed. Valet parking is a major plus.
dudley1907
We are here right now… Couldn’t wait to leave a review. Absolutely amazing!! Our server Rory has been incredible!! It’s my girlfriend’s 40th bday, and he has helped make this experience so wonderful. Kudos to this fabulous restaurant, and to them having someone as fantastic as Rory representing them!!
Dwann Owensby
This was the best meal I've had in along time, got to try Hennessy Paradis Imperial for the first time and it was absolutely wonderful. The rack of lamb was delicious and meaty. Had a drink called beez in the tramp, and it was wonderful as well. Definitely worth the try and the price. If you've ever wondering how someone could spend $600 on a meal....go here
jeremy bailey
Fantastic fine dining. The food was very well executed and served by an attentive well trained staff. I would happily dine here again.
jeremy larson
Exceptional meal and service! Marley coursed out a 6 course meal with wine pairings and knock it out of the park!
Everything she picked was delicious.
And dessert was seared foie gras double stack creme brulee and Chantilly cream with a Sazerac!
Atlashrugger
This is old school white table cloth fine dining at its best. Perfect service, perfect steaks, perfect sides, hushed tones, great wines. Flawlessly executed each time.
Richard Warrington
Food was fantastic, but the service was second to none. You get what you pay for, which is a total foody experience with exceptional and very knowledgeable service.
Jamie St. John
Unbelievable brunch.. amazing food & great alcohol selection.. Crab beignets, beef tartare, short rib grits & griades!! Coolinary menu available & delicious options.. Can't wait to go back for a dinner..
Monica Wirth
Servers Jerome and Rory are top shelf! They made the experience
Death by Gumbo.... Amazing.
Wild boar Bolognese.... Worth it!
Greg Berry
Great food. We had the blue crab beignets, beef tartar and charred oysters. Everything was amazing. We sat in the bar area. Our server was also bartending. She was great. Friendly and on top of things.
Anthony Strickland
Came here while on a work trip. Local foodie I was working with said I had to try the death by gumbo. It's a solid 10. Presentation was awesome with a silver covered dome platter. Bartender recommended a good beer I'd never had before too. To be clear: the gumbo in my picture has a stuffed quail in it. Unique and amazing. Andouille salt on the rim of the bowl.
Wilbur Cox Jr
I've eaten here twice since I've been in town. Great food. Great drinks, they really do it all great. The menu is a chefs night out dream come true, all the greatest hits of everything chefs want to eat.
Kevin Parmley
One of the nicer restaurants I have been to, and one of the better places for an upscale night out from what I hear. Impeccable service with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food is good, but I don't think it was worth the $100 dollar price tag. I say this because we did not even order true "entrees." (For reference me and my girlfriend ordered 2 coktails, a charcuterie board, crab Beignets, a salad, and bread pudding). The coktails were very good!!! As was the board, Beignets, and salad. Bread pudding was a let down and I have definitely had better around the city. In all, it's very classy and it will no doubt be a remarkable meal in most areas, but for the money I'd say just have TWO nights out at less expensive and more cozy restaraunts around town - especially if you want some authentic New Orleans Cuisine for less than an arm and a leg.
Jennifer
My husband and I dined here recently for our anniversary. The service was absolutely wonderful! I’m a vegetarian and they went out of their way to accommodate me. The food was excellent! We plan to come back anytime we’re in New Orleans.
Kelly MacCarroll
I would rate this place with 10 stars if I could. There were two areas to choose from — bar and dining room. We chose dining room; ambiance was on point. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They walked us through questions and brought heaps of positive energy to the table throughout the night. A pre-tasting was offered before ordering wine. Cocktails were awesome. Focaccia/cornbread included as an app with 3 different styles of butter. Chef provided an impromptu, tiny palette-cleansing dish as a starter. Super refreshing. The Black Truffle Mushroom Pasta was bite-your-lip, call-your-mama worthy delicious - I’m still dreaming of it. Lastly, we were there for a birthday and our friend got upsetting news mid-cake. It was clear on her face/observed by the servers immediately, who took it upon themselves to quietly bring an additional dessert in order to lift her spirits. For this reason - and all others listed above - I wish I could shake the hand of every person involved in this establishment. Bravo. Next time someone asks where to finely dine in NOLA, I’m pointing them straight to you.

10/10! First time at this restaurant. Very elegant. Great atmosphere for fine dining. The food is first rate. Chef Sam does a great job with the menu. Both Soms (Brooke and Andrew) were very knowledgeable and paired appropriately. All of the staff was exceedingly friendly. This is our new go to restaurant when in town!
Marcie Nolen Moss
There for Thanksgiving dinner 2022 the service the atmosphere was so awesome Food was delicious 😋‼️ The staff is so attentive, knowledgeable, friendly... Daniel & Issac made everything very special.
Rattray-Semper
The BEST resturant we have ever ate at (even the water was great- LOL). The service is spectacular, professional, and informative. Issac and Daniel amazing team. The food left us speechless. We would 100% eat here again while visiting New Orleans
michael loria
I had a dinner for 12 last Friday in celebration of my sons Loyola law school graduation. The service we received from our wait staff Tina and Tresean was superb. The food was enjoyed by all and the menu was extensive and offered high quality well prepared options. Great restaurant, service, food and atmosphere was excellent.
Eric Purchase
Saved this for our final night in NOLA and not disappointed. We had a caviar flight, fire roasted oysters and blue crab beignets. For entrees I had the red fish and she had the short ribs and lobster. One dish was more spectacular than the last. And the service was friendly and professional. Andrew, our assistant sommelier, was so helpful and able despite his apparent youth. Peter and Kevin tag teamed the wait service and were fun, knowledgeable and professional. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!
Todd
Awesome food. Wide variety of high end comfort food. Steaks. Caviar. Quail. Tartar. Fish. Pastas. Charcuterie, potted meats and cheeses. Turtle soup and Gumbo. Great drinks. Huge wine selection. Somehow the service was even better than the food. Tina and Deshawn were fantastic.
bob swartz
I rarely leave disappointing reviews, because it is not fair, who knows when a kitchen is having an off day, or a staff member had a bad night. However, I was very excited to try this restaurant. But from Service, to food quality, to preparation, it was very "Meh". That was with Multiple Staff members. Staff acted as if they had never actually eaten the food themselves. Seafood came out poorly cooked. Grits, while the plating was a work of art and truly was one of the most beautiful deliveries ever (good job here!) It was poorly flavored mess. The wine selection was fantastic. Luckily I knew how to navigate the list and found an amazing value on a Segla Margaux (but i had to do that on my own as well) . Great potential, potentially an off night. But for a 400 dollar meal for 2, you typically are not allowed to have off nights by the entire staff. There are to many amazing places in NOLA for that to be acceptable. Fine for a night out at a "fancy" joint with an amazing selection of wine and "insta"worthy plate pictures. But if you are a foodie, you might be be happier elsewhere. May try again, and see if it has changed, and will update when we do!
Tedd Saunders
The crab beignets are one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long while - so light and flavorful. Our waitress, Samantha was great and friendly. Some of the staff seem like they have been working there too long - acted disinterested not welcoming. The bbq / baked oysters were very good but not as good as at Casamentos. Gumbo very good but a bit salty, Pasta with duck and mushrooms was excellent. Gulf fish also very good. — Tried brunch a few days later and the soft scrambled eggs were so creamy - the very special Pimms Cup was no longer being made because that bartender had left the restaurant a few months ago. Restaurant still very good but not great the way it used to be for the past several years.
Sharalyn Staricka
One of the finest dining experiences of our lives. Fantastic service, excellent recommendations, and a creative and perfectly executed meal experience. Daniel and Isaac took such excellent care of us and every bite was divine!
Mike Garcia
Love this place! My Go TO every time I visit New Orleans. Great food, ambiance, and service.
Zachary Espinosa
All I do is cook and eat. This was easily one of the best meals of my life. DO NOT sleep on this. Thank you to Chef Tramonto and his team. Luis and Steve were the epitome of hospitality heart. Thank you.
Lynzee Villafranca
Delicious and a lovely experience! The lobster gnocchi was perfect. We also had a few lovely desserts.
Anthony R
I'd highly recommend this restaurant, the food was outstanding. The dining room is beautiful. I'd liked the food here just as much as I did at GW Fins.
Michael Boutte
Fantastic food! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The dessert box is always a pleasure. A great place to eat anytime you're in the French Quarter.
JD
Awesome ambiance, music, service. We had brunch and it was ok. We ordered several appetizers but I'd only recommend the crawfish beignets and the meat pie was good too. Out of everyone at the table I'm the only one who really enjoyed their meal which was the flatbread breakfast. If I go back it will definitely be for the dinner menu.
Marvin Stephen
Best place to eat in New Orleans, the food and service was excellent. Will definitely return.
Tabi Travis
Everything was delicious, definitely recommend if in New Orleans. Service was outstanding!!!
Raul Sanchez
Excellent creole restaurant! Elegant ambiance and fine menu. Highly recommend the quail and blue crab beignets.
Ms. Kali CoHen
What a wonderful experience! The service staff was gracious, warm, knowledgeable and professional! Our waiter was Deshaun! He was easy to understand, friendly and knew the menu like the back of his hand! His suggestions were spot on and we throughly enjoyed ourselves! Thanks to the wonderful chefs dor such amazing entrées! We will definitely be back!
Courtney
Make reservations ahead of time! Food was delicious, staff was friendly and knowledgeable and service was fast.

Tried the bar only. Fair service, good cocktails, excellent setting -- and oysters.
Adam Brooks
The food and the staff were perfect. The cheese tray was amazing, and the fruit plate dessert for restaurant week was especially delicious.
Michelle M
The food was fantastic. Beef Tartare with black mustard- whoa!!
Marley was our server/bartender and she enchanted us with her wonderful personality. Thank you for being awesome!
Christy Timm
What an amazing restaurant! The atmosphere and service are top notch and the food is amazing 👏 (which is saying a lot in a city full of good food). It is worth every penny and will definitely be back next time we are in town. We had a lovely time. …
Will Feinberg
I'd been raving about Revolution for months and so when my best friend came to town we had to go. It was the dinner of a lifetime. Food was immaculate but what took it over the top was the service. Tina and Dashaun took such good care of us. We felt like family by the end and I'll be requesting them for the next time we go. Just the best experience. Can't recommend this place enough. Special!
Peaches Bradford
I'll start with my staff compliments Daniel and Charlotte work great together! They squeezed us in no reservations. The drinks was amazing. Everything was prepared great! I have never had gnocchi. Probably wont again. Lol it was made beautifully, just not my thing. They even brought us complimentary desert for our anniversary it was great! Beautiful restaurant and again GREAT STAFF and 5 star food
Adam Riemer
We absolutely fell in love with this restaurant. I never thought I’d say this in New Orleans, but the dessert was the best part of the meal, and that is hard to do because literally everything was delicious. Not even sure where to begin so instead of taking about the food, just go!!! It is fantastic.
Roger Li
Came here for dinner. Arguably the best interior I’ve seen at a restaurant, the interior designer should be proud.
I ordered the turtle soup, a half order of the blue crab beignets (yes you can order portions of things), and the quail with a side of the Brussels sprouts. I’ve never had turtle soup before so I can’t be too critical without a baseline but, it just was a well crafted but also not memorable soup. The beignets were the star of the show. Whatever they are doing to make those, keep doing it. I almost regretted not having a full order. The quail? It was delicious. The fried one, unsurprisingly, was my favorite. The other two tasted….kind of similar by comparison. The one that was stuffed was my least favorite. Overall, this might be a dish better shared between two rather than the only entree you’ll eat. The Brussels sprouts were indeed crispy but to the point where I was hunting down the ones that were less crispy.
I had a bottle of wine with this, it was good. I’m not a sommelier so I won’t pretend I knew what I was doing, but I did pick off the sommeliers list and can’t say I was disappointed, so kudos to them.
Finally the service was good. I had two people taking care of me, both were good.
Only critical feedback I have: soften your butters or at least don’t chill them as hard, I get the floral design with sag if they warm up but I’d rather have usable butter than butter i get to look at.
Dori Fitzpatrick
Totally amazing from the moment we walked in. The decor and ambience are perfection. Totally upscale and luxurious. Our servers, Tina and Jae, were the best. Funny, kind, fast and knowledgeable. We started with the charbroiled oysters, I had the red fish and my husband had the scallops. Everything was delicious, plated gorgeously and perfect. One of the best restaurants we’ve ever have been too. A must if you are in NOLA!!
Jodi Browne
An absolute must do for exceptional dining in New Orleans! Our family celebrated our son’s 21st birthday in the private wine cellar and everything was perfect! The setting was elegant and comfortable, the food was amazing, and our servers, Tina and Jae, were fantastic! We will definitely go back when we visit the city again!
Kenneth Rubenstein
It's the whole experience. Very expensive and worth it. Food was creative, delicious and presented beautifully. This is not a place to eat food. I left full and satisfied, yet craving more of the whole evening. Our waiters were attentive, informative and non intrusive, while guiding us to the perfect choices. Only thing missing was a great story from Chef Folse!
Monica Mingo
Absolute best meal we have had in an extremely long time. Memorable even. The staff was excellent as well. We will DEFINITELY return soon!
Brandy Phiffer
Marlee the bartender is absolutely amazing! Extremely knowledgeable about drinks and food. We sampled a large portion of the menu with her help and amazing drinks! A must NOLA go!
David Uncapher
My wife and I had dinner at Revolution on Saturday the 24th of July. First the atmosphere and decor is very pleasing. It is crisp but classic. The staff that took care of us, Tina, Rory and I think sienna or Sierra (very sorry I can't remember exactly) were wonderful. They were fun, helpful with selections, and professionals! The food,,,,loved everything, we had gumbo, cheese tray, both very nice. Rack of lamb among best I've ever had. When we go back to NOLA we will make Revolution a mainstay to the trip
elias shakour
Loved the food and the ambience, it was a special night in New Orleans
Dani Herzog
Everything was delicious and the service was amazing! Thanks for a great experience.
Luz Marina Tamayo
Totally recommend. Even if you cannot eat at the restaurant stay at the bar and have their food.
Billy Truax
This place is amazing. Everything we ordered was amazing.
Irina Beaufort
One more to my favorite restaurants.
Awesome place!
Mo
Absolutely phenomenal food, and top notch, fantastic, A+++++ service from our server, Rory! We were in a party of 12, and this was my first trip to New Orleans. If you want an exquisite, unique meal, look no further than Restaurant R'evolution!!!
Hemmanuel Garcia
Exceptional food and exceptional service!! Everything from A-Z was perfect. We brought two vegans in our party and they ate just as good as we did. The staff was constantly passing by making sure glasses were filled, bread on the table and food came out to expectation. Highly highly recommended place to eat!!!
Marcus Slaven
Happily unplanned!!! We wandered around and tried several restaurants that either were reservation only, already full, or dress code (being tourists in summer - we were in very nice shorts, but still shorts). We stumbled across this restaurant. It was full, but able to eat full menu at the tall bar tables. Absolutely wonderful - appropriate portions, full of flavor, and wonderful staff. Really glad turned away at other locations! Will come back to try other dishes next trip.
Will Nicolay
Not only was the food delicious and absolutely impeccably prepared, the service at R'evolution is world class. The waitstaff was extremely friendly and attentive the whole evening, bringing us whatever we needed in a timely fashion with attention to detail. The ambiance of the restaurant itself is surprisingly breezy and comfortable too, with lots of light colors and a perfectly designed semi-open floor. Overall I simply can't recommend R'evolution enough, it's hard to convey the level of excellence I experienced with even a five star rating.
Dhruv Kota
Great ambience and amazing service. The crab beignets were amazing, and were the highlight of the meal. The entrees were well presented, but the flavor combos were just very strange and the meal was dissapointing for the high price. The dessert was quite average as well.
oxpatchreb
Kind of underwhelming, if I'm honest. Service was very good, but the food and ambiance didn't live up to expectations of a Folse/Tramonto collaboration. Crab beignets were well executed but lacked a wow factor/flavor. Foigras and oysters apps we really great. Flavors in the lobster gnocchi were really interesting but the lobster was over cooked. Rib eye was really excellent and perfectly cooked. Overall we had a very good meal, but it seemed the entire restaurant just missed the mark for the level of cost and chef horsepower associated with this meal.
Gregory Brewer
My wife and I had a very memorable anniversary dinner at Rest. R'evolution last night. As most people are aware, New Orleans has it's fair share of high-end restaurants to pick and choose from in the City; I've been to my fair share of most of them.
Our dinner at R'evolution was by far one of the most high quality experiences I've had in the city. Not only was the food fabulous but the wait staff was incredible.
If your in town and looking for a tremendous experience with food that makes it even better, don't miss this one. I would even recommend calling ahead and ask for our waiter, Kevin and his team... He and his team gave us just the right amount of time between conversions and also were quick with recommendations both on and off menu. Kevin even selected a great wine for myself while was more than appreciate.
Worth more than 5 stars and should be one your top 5 must visits for all you foodies out there... Get the Crab Beignets, Beef TarTar and any entree... Can't go wrong!!
Bryan James
This was the best dining experience we have had in decades! Tina, our server was fun and professional! Sam, the chef is a culinary artist! Thank you guys so much for a wonderful time and memory!!!! I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Well worth the money!!!!! The steak melts in your mouth. The quail was incredibly Devine! The appetizers were out of this world! The service was world class! Great Job!
Lance Huber
Best food in New Orleans! Everything was absolutely tasty. Service was exceptional.
Wish we would have found it before our last night in town, we probably wouldn't have eaten anywhere else!!
Beth Binns
Had such a great experience. There were literally three servers attending to the three diners at our table. When I could not decide between two dishes, the head waiter told me he could give me a half portion of each. I eat out a lot, and that has never been offered to me before. It was perfect. It allowed me to have both the delicious scallop entrée and the lobster entrée at the same time. Food was very well presented and absolutely delicious. The crab beignets are a must!!!
Elizabeth P
Food was amazing as was the wait staff. Cannot recommend enough.
Monica Hrabovsky
Food was good, appetizers were the best (octopus & pork belly the best of the best). Careful with food prep cross contamination safety. I got pretty sick for several days after. The reason I feel that this restaurant was the culprit is based on what I’ve heard from locals who worked in the kitchen there in the past & also the fact that the last time I was there (year or so ago), I watched a bartender put his finger in a drink (not mine) to get a gnat out before sending it off with a waitress. Granted this does not guarantee that it was them, I was the only one in my party who got sick, but we didn’t share everything. If it was them it was from the lobster & short rib dish. Should have known better than to go back, but I was out-voted. Ohh well, shame on me for not listening to my instinct. Not posting this to discourage people going, food is very good, just hope that food safety is looked at a little more closely, now.

We had a wonderful experience at this amazing restaurant. The food and the flavors were outstanding. Our server Travis guided us through the menu and made recommendations that were absolutely perfect. I would say, Out of all of the places to visit in New Orleans, this place is a must!!!

My first truly fine dining experience in my life. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Before starting, lemme state that the ambiance and service of this restaurant is a 10/10. Immediately jumping into the food, I will be weighing down or up ratings based on price as well. Starting with the drinks, the portion was low and expensive, but tasted great. This is a 6/10. Moving onto the bread, it was a simple 10/10. Had the crab beignets, which was easily the best course I had, being a 9/10. Unfortunately, this is when it all started to go downhill. To be honest, almost every entree I had was just very confused and contained no balance in my palette, making me not want to go back for more after my third or fourth bite. Having the shrimp and grits, it was a mere 5/10. Shrimp and pork belly were the best things on the plate and there wasn't enough. The shrimp was also not cleaned properly to impress with presentation, and everything else made no sense on the plate. The carrot risotto was simply not a risotto, and had way too much smokiness as an added flavor. That was a mere 3/10. The lobster gnocchi was seeped in butter that wasn't even burned, and the gnocchi didn't taste very good due to being soggy and flavored with vanilla. With the lobster being cooked properly, this is a 4/10. Lastly, the redfish was actually very decent due to me asking for it to be blackened, rather than what the menu stated. Everything made sense on the dish, and resulted in a 8/10. Finally, I had every ice cream on their menu and two sorbets. The ice creams were decent with vanilla and chocolate being a 7/10. The sorbets were dreadful, with the mango and cucumber mojito tasting like spiced vegetable juice. I give this a 2/10. Overall if I was to ever comeback, I would not come here for dinner, just simply for the appetizers or if it was paid for. If you are persistent on coming here, I would recommend filling up on the lobster beignets, and only getting the short rib entree, nothing else.

Great experience. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back here.

Chef Zak and his team made my graduation dinner unforgettable. From the outstanding service of all of the staff, to the amazing food prepared and presented, it was the highlight of my graduation day without a doubt. For as long as chef Zak works here, Restaurant R'evolution will always be my number one recommendation for fine dining and a taste of New Orleans. Thank you again for making my celebration with those closest to me truly unforgettable.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The staff was attentive, friendly, and exceeded every expectation we had. I don't think my drink ever got below half full. The meal was hands down the best I have ever had. The dining areas were absolutely stunning. It gives a very romantic and upscale vibe. We went to celebrate my birthday and our recent marriage and they came out with two deserts and champagne as a gift. I can't say enough about this place! If you're looking for a romantic night out, go here. I don't believe there is another place in New Orleans that could even remotely compare!
K
Went during restaurant week back in August of 2018. I was taken aback. Servers were excellent and very attentive and I received complimentary samplings from the chef and small deserts after dinner. I really didn't know what to expect but this is a place we're they treat you well. Food was excellent. Had the gumbo with the quail. Very flavorful yet minimalistic in it's presentation. My girlfriend had french fries and chicken but it was all very delicious. Expect to dress up.
Rene Davis
My husband and I came here for our 10th year anniversary. The food and service was amazing. I ordered the boudin stuffed quail, and it was delicious!!!!! To be honest, all of our entrees were flavorful and prepared to perfection. I will definitely dream about those fried oysters and quail (lol). Thanks again for a great dining experience during our vacation.
Alyssa Carter
A group of my friends and I ate dinner here this past week. Everything about it was 5 star. Beautiful surroundings and a private room welcomed us. Our waiter, Brian Serpas, made us feel so well cared for with his great service, menu descriptions and recommendations, and just the right amount of attention. The menu is very varied and each course was delicious. If I had only one day in town, this is where I would eat.
Jason Stevenson
Great food! This is very expensive restaurant. But if you plan for it, the service is great. Enjoyed the Restaurant Week menu.
Callam Knott
The ambiance was astonishing. It's cozy, white, airy, and bright. The bakery section was beautiful. They have art, and it looked so appealing. For me, it was the perfect pastries that I've ever seen. They were all executed with perfection. Even the packaging of the desserts was amazing! It made me wanted to buy everything. I loved it so much!
Wendy Monday
An incredibly well-designed dining experience. The 5 different dining spaces were artistically or skillfully planned. We sat at the chef's table for a view of a small part of the massive kitchen operation. Our desserts were particularly notable, however on our next trip we are definitely trying the caviar. The service was impeccable, our server had extensive knowledge not only of the food and cocktail menus, but of the history of the building and design features as well. I can't wait to another visit to this establishment.
Janelle Cable
Went to dine Saturday.
Isaac and Tina made our experience awesome
Food is incredible
Everything was as to be expected
Highly recommend
As we were trying to get our ride share Jenera and Kennae got it done and escorted us to it and made sure we were safe and sound
Can't wait to go back

We had our office Christmas dinner at Revolution and it was the perfect location. The food is always top notch quality and cooked to perfection. Don’t miss the Oysters Revolution and the Crab Beignets. The steaks are cooked to perfection and everyone loved the redfish.
Travis and Kevin do a great job of making the dining experience memorable.
Put this on you must eat at list when in New Orleans.
Karen Andrade
The food and service were amazing. The best short ribs ever. Shrimp was also phenomenal. The peanut butter chocolate dessert was so light and magical, probably my best dessert ever.
Bev Ludwig
An incredible dining experience tonight. The service is impeccable- so very attentive. The char-broiled oysters were light and perfect. Short ribs with rutabaga purée and red wine sauce was so tender and delicious. Also, the gnocchi with lobster was incredible. Lovely unique flourishes of their appreciation to us as diners were a nice surprise. Worth the price for a fabulous dining experience.
Mark Johnson
I agree with the theme that a lot of other reviews have stated. A+ for the location, atmosphere, and service and a B+ for the actual food. We timely and inviting service (shoutout to Scott!) including a complimentary dessert with a candle for my dads birthday. The Christmas decorations and environment were very nice. Great variety of dishes to choose from for sure but the actual food was good but not 5 stars good. Overall flavors were nothing to write home about and most dishes were served not very hot. Disappointing considering the prices they put on everything. Would go back but there are plenty of other restaurants with way more flavorful dishes for cheaper prices in New Orleans.
Dorie Aguilar
We came here during restaurant week. Words do not justify what a great experience we had. The service was emaculate, food was delicious, and experience was unforgettable as a tourist to NOLA. We went to town with the menu options and everything was amazing. Hands down, will come back here again should we visit NOLA again.
Kellan Bouwman
Wonderful meal, and the price was amazing. Everything from the quality of service to the coffee was amazing. I cannot recommend this restaurant high enough.
Michelle Louie
What an incredible experience! The food and service was amazing. The shrimp and grits is something we will remember for a long time. We also had the crab beignets which are as good as everyone says they are (basically a delicately fried crab cake). We also had the red fish and lobster gnocchi which were very good. We didn’t have room for dessert, but with the bill, they bring you a dessert box with a bunch of little goodies to sample! The waitstaff were attentive - never had anything out of place and water was always full. They bring fresh, warm bread to your table with handmade butter. We sat in the “market room” which was fantastic ambience.
William Douglass
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere. The menu can seem a bit pricey to some, but nothing I ordered did I question the price for the quality of food I received. Everything was great and i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great restaurant to celebrate an important occasion or a nice date night.
Noah Drabinsky
We definitely over ordered here and were so full by the time the steak arrived we could barely finish it... although we did. Apparently the staff were taking bets on how far we'd get before tapping out, I will say the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was amazing. The caviar staircase was wonderful, the appetizers were well prepared and the steak was excellent. This is a new NOLA hot spot and it deserves the attention. A four star overall, some interesting decor choices and a feeling that the price could be about 10% lower stop R'evolution from getting a 5/5.
Sofia Kawamura
Love the ambience and service. The Fired roasted oyster were excellent, love the texture and taste. Even with a 8 month baby we had a great experience! My husband loved the wine list and his veal chop. I probably order the wrong entree...I had better Duck in other places. But I recommend the restaurant for sure.
Charles Throckmorton
The new NOLA gold standard. Never had a meal here that was not out of this world. This time had the Blue Crab Beignet appetizer -/ insanely good. Knowledgeable and engaging wait staff, off the charts selections, interplanetary wine list — the best!
Peter Dyakowski
Incredible Louisiana cuisine. I spent 5 years eating as much as this state could offer and Revolution is as good as anything I've ever had. Get the "Death by Gumbo" and you'll be happy if that's all you have.
Erwin Su
There are many excellent restaurants in NOLA so we asked our concierge for a recommendation to find a place with panache. They recommended Restaurant Revolution. The service was excellent. You are waited upon by a team of excellent servers. The food was excellent as well. The beet salad is excellent. If you like oysters try their Revolution raw oysters. They top an oyster with shaved frozen bloody Mary juice. As the shave ice starts to melt it releases the flavor of the Bloody Mary. Then chew the oyster to combine the flavors. Outstanding.
J Hammock
Let me begin by saying that the atmosphere at this restaurant is truly elegant, and the food is even more so. The "Death by Gumbo" is out of this world, both in presentation and flavor. That being said, we did have an issue with one of our servers. We spent the day in New Orleans dining on mostly small plates at different restaurants, hoping to get a sampling of the variety of cuisines the town had to offer. Even though the restaurant was fairly empty seeing as it was early on a Tuesday night, our waitress made it very apparent that she was agitated that we weren't ordering multiple courses with our meal, which was frankly embarrassing to me and my wife. At the end of the night after bringing us our check we were not left with so much as a good night or even eye contact from her as we left the restaurant. It must have been obvious that we were not pleased, because the general manager followed us out to inquire as to what the problem was with our service. He went above and beyond what one would expect from a supervising manager, and made it clear that this was not the sort of service that one would expect to get from this establishment. Carlos went so far as to offer us free cocktails if we returned, and showed that he was genuinely concerned for how we were treated. After reading the other reviews for the restaurant, it is obvious that our poor service from our waitress is not the norm, and I would not hesitate to recommend Restaurant Revolution to anybody despite the actions of one server. I would also like to note that all of the other waitstaff were incredibly polite and accommodating to me and my wife. So heaven forbid you receive a comparably inappropriate treatment from anyone on the wait staff, rest assured The impeccable food and management will make up for it
Lucy J.
Went for Sunday brunch. Enjoyed the crab beignets and the sweet potato cappuccino accompanied by a mellow jazz trio.
Melissa Truett
Dinner & service were amazing! Fantastic experience
Asher McInerney
Well decorated comfortable setting with a lively bar scene. Robust wine offerings. The blue crab beignet was very good. All the food was actually really nice. The water service was great. Sometimes the wait for a glass of wine got a bit too long. Some fine tuning on service and management would get this another star.
Hong “Liz” Nguyen
The service is always amazing - 10/10 - however, lately the food seems to be hit or miss. The last time I went, the gumbo was much saltier than I remember and the dressing on my salad was overdone, soaking the lettuce and dominating the dish. The lobster gnocchi is a standout and so are the seared scallops. Drinks are some of the best in the city, including R'evolution's twist on an Old Fashioned with charred citrus. However, the best part of the meal for me is ordering some after dinner cocktails and indulging in the dessert box! So good!
Yanuario Arias
Tried the turtle soup, it tasted like lentils and wine, did not taste the turtle nor did it have turtle meat in it, it was a total disappointment. I didn't even finish it.
Had the seared foisgrass tasted great, loved it. again the portion was two small the added bread under it to make it appear as more was undesirable. Your already serving bread at the table why would you put more bread on it.
Had the bone marrow it was tasty but cooked for to long. one half of a bone is not enough. There is literally just about a table spoon of edible food on this. did not come as pictured on their site.
We both had the short ribs and lobster. The rib was excellent and the portion adequate. The lobster was undercooked and the portion was not sufficient. two small bites was not enough. don't mind the raw part, I eat real sushi. but others might have issues with this.
Had an espresso coffee after dinner. It was good but rediculess amount. Who serves less than a half of a tiny cup of espresso? This was less than one tiny sip This cup should have come full. Disappointed again. Barely a taste of coffee.
The service was excellent, the staff amazing. I overlooked the flaws of the meal because of them. Because of these many flaws I should have removed 2 stars, but because of the staff I'm only removing 1
For the cost, the food and portions should be spot on. I go to these places to eat odd foods, I expect to taste those thing in the dishes I also expect enough to be able to enjoy it.
Venkatesh Sivanandam
Amazing rerto-vibe , good service from relaxed and kind waiters. Death by Gumbo is an amazing dish along with their salads and pecan desserts. However they won't fill you up but will leave your palates happy.
Devin Rachles
The best gastronomic experience NOLA has to offer. Do not sleep on Restaurant R'evolution if you are in the vicinity. From the second you walk in the door you will experience service from people who are truly passionate about your experience and love what they do.
To start with they have delicious and creative cocktails, along with the classics, if you cant choose from their more than impressive wine selection. You wont even have to wait for appetizers because you are greeted with bread service of house made bread and butter. There is a whole cheese cart and beautiful house made charcuteries drying in visible coolers in parts of the dining room
Our meal was amazing, I was moved to tears by how perfectly everything was cooked and paired. The plank redfish was succulent and smokey and the scallops were cooked to perfection.
I wish we would have had time to enjoy their full dessert selection but we were still treated to a handmade jewelry box, each compartment containing a small desert just for visiting.
I would have eaten here more on our trip had I known how good it was earlier. Do yourself a favor and go eat here.
Mathew
Dinner at R'evolution was a delicious experience. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. For me the seared scallops were the best scallops I have ever eaten and the rest of the meal was just as amazing.
brandon walzer
I would give 5 stars however, we were a walk-in with no reservation and while the food here is absolutely fantastic, the server was great but the host(s) were so rude. There were tons of open tables and we were told we had to sit in the bar. Wasn't a big deal until a handful of other people over our time there were ushered in without reservations.
Beyond that, this was a 5 star experience.
Rachel Johns
Had did dinner here last night. The beef tartare, scallops, and lamb were great! Service was on par with my expectations. Everyone was attentive and worked in unison. Will definitely visit again.
Megan Daigle
Come to NOLA a couple times a year. First time eating at Restaurant R’evolution and it was incredible! Their turtle soup is one to rival Brennan’s and that’s saying something! Our waiter was great and super friendly. I asked him which entree was better, the lobster or the scallops and he got me a half portion of both! Who does that?
Mary Patricia (The Agent)
When we walked in the greeting was very unlike what we've experienced in NOLA. Maybe the waitress was overwhelmed but she was nothing but rude. She asked us if we had a reservation we said no she just said stand over there. Things picked up when the waiter came over with his warm southern tones, charming demeanor and all round enthusiasm. Food was excellently presented and delicious as you would expect in NOLA - they miss the full star rating because of that greeting. I'm an ambiance person so the food tastes better if you're nice to me when I enter your establishment...
Katie B
This place doesn’t need any more people raving about the food (even though it WAS fantastic) but what made our night so special was the service. Collin is incredibly personable and great at what he does. He brought such great energy to our table! Also I think we ordered everything he recommended because he’s so good at hyping up the food (and it doesn’t disappoint).
Also saw some famous people there which is always fun!
Ronna Peacock Pratt
This place is amazing. We made up our own "tasting menu" which included the turtle soup, quail, fois gras, frog leg BLT, and more. Every single dish impressed and the wine list was incredible. They also have some excellent cocktails if you have time to get there early and have a drink at the bar. They do have some very expensive items if you have cash to burn, which we didn't, however I felt for the total price and the quality of the food we got it was great a value, unlike some similar restaurants. The staff was also incredibly friendly and not stuffy like you might expect.
Shane Spruiell
This is a must when you are in the city. Everything is delicious and it has a great atmosphere.
Eric
This place has unbelievably delicious dishes. The price matches the experience but there are affordable options available. Travis and Colin were my wait staff and Travis was incredibly knowledgeable of wine pairings for every dish. This is the best experience I have ever had both dining and with wine pairings. Colin is incredibly friendly, also very knowledgeable, and is always prepared to answer questions or fulfill needs. Thank you to Travis and Colin specifically for making this such a wonderful dining experience.
Dani
The ambience here is great, love the holiday feeling and the beautiful curtains. Their crab beignets and duck were amazing. The service was fine as well, they were fairly attentive. Only three stars though because we were there for a special occasion and they did nothing to acknowledge it.
Nick Marinello
Delicious food and outstanding staff that really made the whole meal more enjoyable. They will go out of their way to help you find a good wine in your price point. Thanks to Daniel and Isaac!
Jehan Wanigatunga
We were 5 in our group the food and service was exceptional. The food served in timely manner.
Hospitable and professional .The presentation of the food was great.I highly recommend The Revolution Restaurant if you are looking for a true dining experience.
Bobbette Oreilly
We also had the duck and while it was tasty, my fiance and I fought over the last remaining morsels of the flounder. For dessert we tossed out thoughts of calories and had the chocolate souffle which was sublime, like the rest of the dinner. While we also loved other high end restaurants in Nola but this one is our favorite.
mikebfit
Amazing restaurant. Very nice upscale atmosphere and the service is excellent, exactly what I'd expect from a fine-dining restaurant. The food was phenomenal. From start to finish, the appetizers, main course, dessert, all were amazing. Great wines as well . Can't say enough .
Melissa Friloux
Incredible atmosphere and exceptional service. Travis was our head server and he and his team made this night out with our mom and siblings one to remember. If you are looking for a dining experience that is just as fun as the food is amazing, this place is your spot! We will absolutely go back to Restaurant Revolution.
Steve Ens
Delicious food and amazing service. Can't say enough about the peanut butter ice cream.
Kat Oak
We eat here every time we go to NOLA; the steak is possibly the best we ever have.
K C
Beautiful restaurant with absurdly delicious food. We had crab beignets, charbroiled oysters, lamb entree, and turtle soup. The service is top notch and the wine list is very extensive. We even got a free dessert because it was our anniversary. Will come back for special occasions.
Crowbird
Great spot for some Cajun Classics they make all their own! The Duck was Delicious!
Andrea Buchwald
Everything was delicious, the service was fantastic. Modern take on traditional Cajun food. I had the quail gumbo and oysters with foie gras. Loved every bite. Servings were huge for a fancy restaurant, making it well worth the price point (I could have shared my entree). Delightful complementary treats throughout the meal, I'll be going back.
Rae Ann Caparelli
Hi, I'm from California and this place is an AMAZING dining experience. Wait staff AMAZING. food and presentation AMAZING. Not one thing negative I can say about this place! Never had turtle soup....but I had some from what my boyfriend ordered tonight and it was surprisingly delicious! Do not miss your chance to dine here....special occasion this place is the one to eat at. I had a hard time deciding on restaurants to eat at for my birthday....we had this one on list...walked by and decided this was the place! NO REGRETS! only wish I had more time to dine here again.
Gideon Sanstra
The seafood gumbo was out of this world, filled with shrimp, oysters and other deliciousness. The service impeccable. The private room in the back is perfect for groups of 10, if you need to have a quiet conversation once the sliding doors are closed. All together a great place.
Jordan M. Juneau
Entire experience was first class and absolutely amazing. Special thanks to our waiters Travis and Collin as well as Chef Clayton! I enjoyed everything from the tour, to dining at the chefs table, and every single dish. Will most definitely be back in the near future!
Hal Doueck
It's impossible to rate these guys lower than five stars, they deserve a sixth! Located off Bourbon, once you enter it's hard to imagine that Bourbon Street is right nearby. This restaurant is a world secluded onto its own, and these people are professionals. They don't mess around.
I saw tables with staircases of food, they served appertifs and the waitress picked up on dietary restrictions without even asking about them. Service was some of the best I've seen in the world. Steaks seem to be their strong point but all other food was on point and artistically beautiful. Pricing was around $90 a person after tip, but well worth it.
Only a few feedback items - it was cold in the restaurant, we really would have loved some music, and I wish the burger was still on the menu!
Markella Cross
We came for a one day conference in New Orleans and asked some of the local attendees where we should eat. This place came up so we decided to stop by and try it out. I have to say - it wasn't my cup of tea. There were no tables available without a reservation so the host sat us at the bar. Extremely accommodating and we were thanksful! Our food, while it tasted fine, took nearly 40 minutes to come out. We asked the bartender a few times if our food was on its way and he was pretty condescending each time - "well that's what happens when the kitchen gets slammed!" Everyone enjoyed their food once it came out and the manager came over to check on us. That was a nice touch and smoothed things over! Without that, this review may have been a little different due to the long food wait time and unprofessional bartender.
Ian Schwab
We came in for our honeymoon and my wife's birthday and had an absolutely amazing meal. Everyone was super attentive to us. We had the pig out board and a cheese plate to start. They were absolutely to die for. Our main course was even better. Everything was perfect. This was definitely the highlight of our time here. Thank you all so much for making our meal an event we will remember for years to come!
Cyrus
Always a wonderful time at this exquisite restaurant! The chefs are engaging and always making something delicious, while a myriad of waiters provide a great experience all around. You can really feel like royalty with a large selection of tasty food and superior service.
Michelle Gabriel
I always sit at the bar, the staff is always friendly and entertaining. The food was DELICIOUS, the Red fish is flaky and melts in you mouth.
Nicolette Marie
Service and food was world class! Everyone was very knowledgeable about the menu down to the spices. They provide a cute stool for your purse for your convenience. Easily the nest fine dining I've tasted. Nice sized portions. Everyone was in a great mood. Very polite.
Charlie Shay
Had an amazing dinner here. I appreciate the different "themed" dining halls - which gave a different vibe to the dining experience depending on where you're seated. Food here was also incredible. Our table of 5 tried majority of the items on their menu. The tartar, lobster gnocchi, scallop, and quail were the highlights for me. Their chocolate souffle is also to die for! Be sure to make reservation and pack a set of business casual clothes (dress code here) if you plan on visiting NOLA!
Dan Durig
We were late about 10min for our reservation due to flight delays and getting lost once. They were able to accommodate us in the Chef's office. At first we were all a bit surprised walking through the kitchen but the room was sealed off and very private making for one of the best dining experiences we have had in a very long time. The room was finished similar to the restaurant. There was a view of both kitchens from our area (one via TV and one via windows). Food was wonderful. We followed most of our servers reccamendations. We tried shrimp and grits, swordfish, steak, lobster gnocchi, the crab beer battered beignets, and the gumbos. Everything was amazing. We had ice creams and the bread pudding creme brulee for desert. They also had us stopping to enjoy the food. Our son was floored at how good it all was and so were we. Service was impeccable even on a room separated from the rest of the restaurant and they never missed a beat each time we thought we would need something they were there to provide.
Troy V
Crab Beignets are the best! Always great food and service. Be sure to ask for a tour of the resturant and kitchen, probably my favorite part.
Jonah Kowall
Came by here for a work dinner on the recommendation of a friend of mine. Nice spot, I ended up sitting at the chef's table overlooking the open kitchen, which was a communal table. The service was very good, the formal as well (I prefer casual service). The wine list by the glass was extensive and very good, presented on an iPad. I had the charcuterie plate, they do the means in-house. They were very good, but I didn't love all of the meats. I had the quail done 3 ways. It was very special and amazingly well done. This place is a solid choice for NOLA!
Skylar Faunt
We order martinis and oysters, iberico ham, some other stuff. There's good bread, Annabelle with her piercing blue eyes from a very small Georgia town, the bright lights of New Orleans knocking her out. She hasn't yet come to New York, and Robert tells me it's her first time in a decent restaurant. must try
Jeffrey Karlin
The service is top notch. The lobster soup and crab beignets are out of this world! Tomahawk steak for two also amazing. Only negative is that the lamb chops were way too salty. Ambiance is great, and the caviar is to die for! Amazing restaurant in a great location!
Breen Bland
The food was good. The service was fine, but a little sloppy—when the waiter poured the liquid into my bowl of Death by Gumbo, he splashed a 1/4 cup of it out of the bowl and onto the table and the sleeve of my shirt. Since I had taken my jacket off, there was no real damage, but still....
The wine list is extraordinary and the sommelier was very helpful in recommending wines that were great with the meals our group ordered. However, the wines range in price from expensive to stratospheric. That would also describe the food prices—the meat offerings, in particular, are $30-40 too high for the quality of the dishes. In short, this is a restaurant that wants to rival the great restaurants of the world and falls very short of the mark.
sergio torres
Travis and Erica are the best. Please ask for them when you visit!!! We’ll worth the experience!!!
Christina Kirsch
This place was incredible! My husband and I came here while on our honeymoon in NOLA. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by multiple staff members and seated at a great table with a view of the open kitchen. We were cared for by numerous waiters who made sure we had everything we needed. We received great recommendations regarding what to order according to our preferences. My husband and I shared the crab beignets which were delicious! We got a free small appetizer from the chef (a pimento cheese spread I believe). I had the seafood bouillabaisse which was absolutely delicious and the perfect portion. My husband had sheep gnocchi with lobster which had a surprisingly sweet but fantastic sauce with a very creative presentation. We shared the maple bread pudding creme brûlée which I can't even put words to - so delicious! And then we were surprised with an assortment of small candies and pastries delivered in an antique looking box - such a beautiful touch! Needless to say we left happy and very full! It was a bit expensive but absolutely worth every penny!
JAM
One of the most if not the most impressive and delicious meals and dining experiences we had during our stay in New Orleans! The restaurant itself is beautiful consisting of multiple themed rooms, we sat in the kitchen room and just loved it. Our waiter Deshaun was extremely friendly and knowledgeable helping us choose from an extensive menu based upon our tastes. I started with the turtle soup with quail eggs, beautifully presented and equally delicious. My wife had a deliciously light and beautiful crab beiegnets appetizer, which was like nothing either of of have ever experienced, just delicious. For our main course I had 3 variations of quail while my better half had a delicious shrimp and tasso risotto which she loved. Choose anything you'd like from the menu I'm certain they're equal delicious and all beautifully presented. Although we just returned we're both already looking forward to returning and revolutions will definitely be one of the restaurants we plan to revisit.
Steve Ritacco
Love this place! Fantastic menu. I've hard pasta and venison, both fantastic. The desserts are also worth every calorie.
Calli Dobrzynski
Unbelievable meal and service was top notch! Highly recommend!
Gavan Burke
Sat at Chef's table was a neat experience. The Crab Beignets were awesome! The seafood gumbo truly is award winning. The seared scallops were great and the treats in the box were the perfect finish. Service was impeccable.
rj bal
We visited to celebrate two birthdays and an upcoming wedding, and our waiters took great care of us. Top service!! food was delicious, can't go wrong with crab beignets and oysters.
Eric Lovitt
Wow! We were staying in the hotel on the property and popped in for dinner. We did not realize how nice this place was until after we walked in. We were obviosly underdressed for dining in such a nice place, but the staff did not seem to care and they did not treat us any different. The wine selection is fantastic, but you may need a tour guide to navigate the very extensive listings. The food was incredible, original, expertly prepared & presented. The waiters knowledge of the preparation of each dish was remarkable. We had an incredible experience we won't forget. We will be back next time we are in town.
Shelly Chen
How should I begin with the review? I am absolutely impressed by this restaurant in every single way! The staffs were all super informative, attentive and not to mention, friendly. Every course is art, every bite is a wonderful surprise! One of the best dining experience I've ever had!
Jim Rorie
The place is beautiful, but I found the food to be lacking for the price and hype. I ordered stroganoff and what I got was the poorest example I've ever had. It was like it was missing they key ingredients. However, the Crab Beignet appetizers were amazing. The menus are very high tech and the experience is wonderful. I also wonder of there was more going on as there was major construction going on in the area. And this was off season.
Keli Serven
Oh my goodness this restaurant was absolutely perfect! Not only was the food amazing but the staff went above and beyond! We own a restaurant and I’m very picky, I can not come up with one thing they need to improve on and I’m a tough critic. This restaurant gets a 10 out of 10 in every category. Please reward your staff and chef. They were top notch so thank you!

Staff was great but food was lacking in great flavour. Got the duck ravioli and it was salty and bland. For the price wasn't worth it.
Mark Fischer
Amazing. I took my Fiance here for a celebratory dinner after proposing to her. Hands down this was the best place to go. Amazing selection of wine. Wine list so big its on a Ipad. The food and atmosphere was amazing and service was just as good. If you are looking for a romantic place to take someone to dinner and what the highest quality of food in new Orleans this is it.
J Dangerfield
Hidden gym! We had the pleasure to dine during the brunch hour, our server Rory was very knowledgeable-all of his recommendations were spot on!!
For apps I highly recommend the carb beniets( 2 orders) and seafood gumbo. I even tried the turtle soup and it was tasty as well. For the main course I had (some dish with short rib) I cant remember the name. But it was a nice sized portion and did not finish it all! Our other guest tried "devils gumbo" crab cakes and quiche dish. In all we were VERY satisfied. And will dine again for either brunch or Dinner
Salvatore Mangano
Unique menu, attentive service, extensive wine list and great food. Modest portions but after a day of eating and drinking our way thru New Orleans that was ok. Despite huge wine cellar, they didnt have the wine we chose but they graciously substituted a better bottle for the same price as the one we had originally chosen. We were very happy with the entire experience.
Nick Hauselman
Not enough stats for this incredible restaurant. The interior design is really cool, we sat in the kitchen room. My wife had the fried oyster salad which was great, I had the seafood trio appetizer, very tasty. For a main course, she had sheep ricotta gnocchi with lobster which was fantastic. I had the bone in filet mignon and it was heaven. To top it off, the molten chocolate cake was heaven. We will definitely come back here to the kind and knowledgeable wait staff and incredible food.
Adam Strazzeri
This place is incredible. Boneless short ribs were nothing short of amazing. Travis and his team did an excellent job at hosting. Very comfortable yet high end. Must go. Slight dress code required which is a good thing.
phillip dozier
A must do restaurant for any foodie! The Service was exceptional! Highly recommend the Chef Table to catch all of the kitchen's delicious food being prepared and served. The menu is a who's who of Nawlins traditional dishes with modern flare. It's our third yearly visit to this place and just like the other two times, we can't wait for our next year's visit. Bon appetit!
Monique Berry
Greeted at the door and upon walking in my eyes and ears were delighted with the decor and laughter. My cocktail was "ya heard" which gave me a perky buzz! Constant service with energy, conversation and appreciation!
Paul Bobo
Visited during happy hour for some beers and snacks ar the bar. Few beers available but cocktails certainly looked like better value for money. The Crab Beignets were so good we immediately ordered a second portion of them. One of the better happy hours in the quarter
Jesse Kuczmarski
Wow! I highly recommend the crab beignets and gumbo as appetizers! We ordered the venison and quail as entrees. What I loved most about the quail is that it’s prepared three ways in 3 small portions, so you can taste a variety of creole recipes. It was pricey, but totally worth it. Roiri (not sure if I spelled it correctly) was our server, and he was excellent. He knew the menu well and was able to recommend unique dishes/drinks based on what we liked. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in NOLA!
Brett Moore
Had dinner with my wife there tonight. Alex, Rory, and Ashley took great care of us. Alex made sure we had what we wanted to drink and the food was out and delicious. Rory was always around and checking in on us. What a great job. Ashley was always there and ready to clean up for us and prepare our table to move on, as well as keep waters and bread full. The food was good (wasn’t the biggest fan of the death by gumbo) and the service was phenomenal. Thank you guys for a great date night.
Julie Langlois
Absolutely fabulous! I've never had a better dining experience - amazing food, drinks, atmosphere and the service was hands down the best. I can't wait to go back!
Anna Perez
My roommate and I went all out for this meal. We did the chef's tasting menu, along with a charcuterie board and I also had the wine pairings. It was worth every single penny. The food was delicious and well portioned, the wine was divine and the charcuterie board was beautiful. I can't recommend it enough for a special night out.
Taylor Wilson
I've been to just about every "must try" restaurant in New Orleans and I think Restaurant R'evolution is the best, hands down. We just ate here for the 5th or 6th time and continue to be impressed. The cocktails, food and service were next level, and have been everytime we've visited.
Molly D
This was actually one of our biggest disappointments in a week of amazing dining in NOLA. The dining room is surprisingly stuffy, the food was very good but over hyped, and our server was ..not great. We ordered a bottle of champagne to start, and she instead just poured us each a glass. Which was... weird for four people? And when we asked her what happened to the bottle, she just smiled at us and basically blew us off. She also totally spaced on an order of fresh oysters, and again, when we (very politely wondered about it) just...smiled and blew us off. The food was very good, but was it any more sensational than other places here, many of which were not quite as spendy? Absolutely not.
Arturo Fountain
The food and drink is great but for the price I expect nothing less than exceptional. My wife's homemade pasta was half cooked, half raw. They made it right by cooking another dish but I can't believe the initial order made it out of the kitchen.
Rebecca Hicks
The food was unique and the service was impeccable.
Chris Seligman
My girlfriend and I have birthdays 2 weeks apart. We were able to make it to New Orleans and were strongly recommended to eat here. 5 courses, starting with elegant amuse bouche, great charcuterie board, awesome oyster tag, red fish/quail for entrees, and too many deserts. Wine list was extensive, but easy to find the right wine for the right price point. Can't say enough about how great the experience was! Best meal of my life! 🍾
Kate Kosche
We (mother and daughter) had a delicious dinner here in a beautiful room with excellent service. Service rating gets dropped a bit due to a tepid and VERY tardy greeting from hostess as well as 45 minute wait WITH reservation. After we were seated service was excellent. During our wait we got to chat with the bartender and had some really fine cocktails, so not a bad wait. Loved the "Death by Gumbo", the charcuterie board as well as the quail 3 ways. Sommelier gave excellent advice on wine selections. Very expensive overall, but I felt I got my money's worth.
Barry Irvine
I first came to R'evoltion 2 years ago on my honeymoon on a concierge recommendation and came again for brunch on this trip to NOLA. The food was amazing once more and the service absolutely impeccable. I just love the way they take classic Louisiana cuisine and add their own little twists.
L.C. Khalajabadi-Bailey
Best dinner ever! The staff formed a service team. They did everything to make sure our meal was the best it could be. Zero complaints! Only great things to say about the food and service. Had the beef tartar with cucumber and a filet with a side of roasted brussel sprouts. Very nice experience all around.
vladimir sanchez
Way too popular and crowded but for a reason. Great food. Lobster soup I will remember for a long time. Drinks perfect. Steaks perfect. Drawback completely wrecked out my charge card. Expensive but a New Orleans experience. Recommend very much if you have the $.
Cylepath
Went two nights. One night was probably best restaurant experience ever. Beat service, best food. Next visit started off with an hour wait to be seated even with reservation. Wait staff was very distracted. Overall was still 5 star because of food and wine selection
Nicole Rorie
Great Ambiance and excellent service. The Crawfish Beignets are something not to be missed. These were totally worth the money. The husband had the beef cheeks stroganoff with a porcini puree around the plate. The noodles and the beef cheeks were good. I did not care for the porcini puree. It was flat and lackluster in flavor. My beef and prawn tournedo with the lobster Thermidor sauce was okay. The prawn had too much Pernod liquor in the mealy stuffing and the beef medallion was very small. The presentation was very pretty though. I think I should have asked Johnny our server what was his favorite on the menu. My husband picked this restaurant because it was highly rated on Google and also Zagat rated. I wouldn't have given it this high of a rating based on the food. It was very busy at night and there was a big investment party in one of their rooms. Perhaps the chef did not prepare our meals.
Mary Caroline Pickryl
As expected, very classy. What stands out, as compared to other fine restaurants, is the level of attention from the staff. After carefully listening to our tastes and preferences, our waiter gave several recommendations for each course. He also paired excellent drinks for several courses.
Varun Chowdhary
Food and service was phenomenal. I will definitely be returning.
Michael Austin
I truly enjoyed the crab beignets and the quail. The braised short ribs were also a hit. The scallops and redfish were good but not great. The Creole cream cheese bread pudding creme brule'had too much going on. They should simplify the dish. Service was exemplary!
Victor Ciuricov
Read this ! You might want to try different place. only leaving 4 star because I don't like to hurt business because of personal experience. As a business owner I know how hard they work to keep their business on the top. Me and my wife were just walking to walgreens to buy some souvenirs . We saw the place and decided to try it. I knew the dinner was going to be around $200 and that's not a problem. We where impressed of the quality of the service and even we where really dressed casual they treated us very well. We got filet mignon and rib eye. And it was okay. Nothing special. It's served beautifully but flavor is missing. We went the night before to chophouse which blew us away with the flavor of the meat. So we where really disappointed to spent same money but basic meat.
Service is amazing though. And desert was super delicious.
Laura Huddleston
Definitely the best brunch I have had in NOLA. Eggs a la Creme with lump crab, served in a martini glass. Pimiento cheese grits, creme fraiche biscuits and keep 'em coming mimosas. Excellent service and jazz.
Jiahui Li
Absolutely awesome food and service. I love love love my seared scallop and foie gras. It’s super delicious. Black truffled beef tartare is awesome. Crab beignets is the best I’ve had in New Orleans. Wine is amazing too. Only imperfect thing is crab stuffed frog leg, which is still not bad but the beer batter is separated from the frog leg, and vegetable on the side is not as fresh.
Justin Hill
Everything we ate was incredible. Nothing disappointed. I think we ordered everything and it was all great. Wine prices are closer to old classic steakhouse prices but it is some of the best food I have ever eaten.
Sophia Garrett
A dining experience doesn't get much better than this. Its unusual to get great service, divine food, tasty cocktails and heavenly desserts. We got all this at Revolution. The death by gumbo is literally to die for. The base was rich and flavorful. There is half a quail at the bottom of the bowl and then the roux is poured on top. The crab beignets were yum! For our entree, we tried to scallops and foie gras. It was perfect! The waitstaff were attentive and friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better night.
Mark Concannon
Was amazing! Service was impeccable and not pretentious. Good was presented beautifully and seasoned perfectly. Timing was fine well, too. Definitely going back!
G. K.
Crab beignets and charbroiled oysters were delicious! The best though was the service. So warm and kind. We had an unexpectedly big group that they happily accommodated.
Eric K
Service was great, you have to make reservations at the Chefs viewing table and enjoy the show. You eat at a beautiful Cypress table and enjoy an amazing dinner. Tip: Get the Chefs menu paired with wine, expensive but worth it for a special evening
Javon Coleman
The food was excellent and the service was even better. The restaurant itself is immaculate with so much detail in the decor. We had the visiting fish and the shrimp and grits. Both were amazing! I highly recommended this place.
Matthew Kern
Fantastic restaurant! Food and service were impeccable. Wine list is amazing.
Rory was a wonderful, knowledgeable waiter/sommelier.
I think it’s better than commander’s palace.
Charlene Smith
Yummy and very personable staff. Seafood and cajun are a perfect match! Attended a private party. Would recommend this for rehearsal dinners, or any fancy event where you want your guests to be pampered!
Allison Gerard
I have never had a restaurant experience like R'evolution before, and I doubt I will ever find a comparable experience anywhere else. I don't make a habit out of eating at fine restaurants like this, but I never once felt awkward or out of place. The dining area (specifically the kitchen room) is warm, inviting, and completely comfortable down to the chairs. The waitstaff are very knowledgeable about each dish on the menu (and if they can't answer a question, they find someone who can). Our waiter, Troy, made us feel like family and was attentive, but not overbearing.
However, the food is, as it should be at a restaurant, the most amazing part of eating at R'evolution. I had to open my mind completely before ordering, as some of the items on the menu were things I had never considered eating before. Our table ordered four appetizers to share (bone marrow, Iberico ham, beef tartare, and sweetbreads) and made swift work of all of them. I particularly recommend the bone marrow- you'll have to sit back and reevaluate your life after the first bite. In fact, you're going to have to sit back and reevaluate your life several times during your meal. The major thought running through my mind was "were my taste buds created solely for this moment?"
Everything you order is guaranteed to be the best (insert food item here) that you have ever had, from short ribs to Brussels sprouts. Nothing on a plate is superfluous, and a bite where you get a little bit of everything is like eating a symphony. The drinks were excellent (although the one I fell in love with is no longer on the menu), the service was above and beyond (including a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar), and now everything I eat pales in comparison (worth it). I can't wait to go back, and I will be thinking about R'evolution every meal until that day.
Mary Hasti
A week ago Friday My husband and I enjoyed our best dinner ever - bar none. The food was complex and exquisite from foi gras with biscuits and gravy to chocolate coconut ice cream and everything in between. Nothing has ever tasted quite so delicious as that dinner. The reason for my review though is our waiters, Natalia and Anthony. Wow, what a treat..... smart, friendly, attentive, and fun! Thank you so much, Anthony and Natalia we loved every delightful moment.
Katie D.
Fabulous dinner experience. I had the visiting fish which happened to be grouper that night and it was an exquisite combination of flavors. I recommend this restaurant as the staff us very professional and courteous as well as the ambiance is great in addition to the food being fantastic!
Joseph E
What an amazing experience. The food is so amazing perfectly cooked, perfectly timed and all, the service is impeccable. I will always return for my special events.
Natalie Webb
If you are a foodie, than this is the restaurant for you. Steak Tartare, sweet breads, meat and cheese board with in-restaurant cured meats! The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful! We even received a personal tour of the kitchen! Highly recommend! Merci, R'evolution, we will be back.

Best dining experience yet in New Orleans!!! We sat at the Chefs Table and were spoiled with surprises from the chef all through dinner. Death by Gumbo knocked my socks off, the Duck was perfect, Sheep Ricotta Gnocchi with Lobster incredible, deserts unreal. Kevin gave incredible service.
Matthew Goin
The waiter made some recommendations that were a miss. The fried fois hides the flavor and texture of the fois. The ribeye was tough. The redfish has scales on, so don't try to eat the skin. Sauce on the fingerling potatoes was too citrusy. The au gratin potatoes have sweet potatoes in them, but it's not mentioned on the menu. The tartar was excellent.
Rod Ballard
Outstanding menu with innovative dishes based on Creole and Cajun Classics. Read the website for an interesting history of South Louisiana food. Go to the restaurant and bring your appetite. It is difficult to have room to try each section, but do it anyway. I love the death by gumbo! I love the fired oysters, the charcuterie is diverse and has deep flavor. The paneed veal is awesome is large, tender, and a show stopper.
Take a group of friends that like food and enjoy sharing their plates. Once you see the menu you will understand.
By the way, the wine menu is thoughtfully prepared and presented with skill.
Buon Appetito!
Benjamin Huser
Whole experience from start to finish makes you never want it to finish

We had an amazing experience here. Our server Travis was exceptionally kind and attentive to our experience here. The food was impeccable and we would recommend this experience to anyone.
Ryan Hicks
This is a spot you want to try out for a nice date night in NOLA. The food is phenomenal, atmosphere is perfect, and the service is outstanding. Truly was fine dinning as it should be.
One of our appetizers was the Brick Oven Roasted Bone Marrow with pickled radish and crostini. Highly recommend this even if you are a bit afraid to explore your food palette. I like to try new things and this was my first with bone marrow. An incredible hot appetizer to say the least; get it!
My main meal was the Triptych Quail - Boudin-stuffed, Absinthe-glazed, and Southern-fried. it was my first time trying Quail. It was good and not gamey like I thought it might be. Very dark meat, smaller version of a chicken, but more tender meat.
Our dessert was White Chocolate Bread Pudding Crème Brûlée - Lemon-scented Apricots, Salted Bourbon Caramel Sauce. I'm not a big dessert fan, but dang this was good.
Our meal did not end at dessert as they brought out a little beautifully decorated mini jewelry box filled with various mini candies, treats, and desserts in every drawer.
Folks this should be on the top of your list for a visit while in NOLA.
After a bottle of red wine between two of us we dropped $200. Fine dinning. Be prepared to pay for the great food here, but totally worth it! Thanks chefs John Folse & Rick Tramonto. I will be back.
Jeff Artis
Took family for a very special Christmas dinner.
They were blown away by the window table, tour through the restaurant & stellar wine list and cuisine! Wow!!! Alex our server was amazing. And so was Derrick!
Brent Breaux
Probably the best brunch I've ever had. The eggs over pan seared, deconstructed boudin was amazeballs. The jazz band roaming around was a nice touch too.
This place was better than Commander's Palace in my opinion, and right in the french quarter.
Mauricio Molina
What a great experience..from the moment they opened the door for us, to the time we left...
Scott was a great help recommending wine selections for our dinner.
Don't miss the Death by Gumbo soup..
The scallops were recommended for their, texture, size and flavor..great dish...an extensive selection of wines from all over the world...for dessert we recommend the Maple Bread Pudding Crème Brûlèe....we have to go back
Tyla Delgado
A must try for a true fine dining experience in New Orleans! Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Food was phenomenal!
Elez Dervisevic
If you're looking for the best restaurant in NOLA, you just found it. It may be one of my top 5 restaurants in the world. The dinner was spectacular. The sea scallops with foie gras is unforgettable. Very classy and expensive, but worth it.
n fulmer
Exquisite food, outstanding service and beautiful dining rooms. The flavors, textures and presentation were such a pleasure to experience! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. Highly recommend!
Lyn Kieltyka
great wine! didn't have food here, but met a friend for a glass of wine. bar staff were attentive and responsive and funny. we enjoyed it all!
Ayoyinka
The ambience was awesome. The staff were so helpful and nice (they even gave me tips on what items to try and the best combinations). I loved the food too. It was delicious with the right balance of food seasoning and natural seafood taste. There was never a dull moment.
Nicholas Leonards
Atmosphere and service- 5 stars, food 4.5. We had the veal and 8oz filet and split the “death by gumbo” and the crab beignets as apps. Everything was great except the steak, which tasted charred on the outside.
Jon vogl
We had a fabulous dinner last weekend at Restaurant R’evolution. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and Ryan, the excellent maitre’d, made sure every detail was perfect! We were seated at a lovely table in the main dining room with chilled champagne waiting. Although the restaurant was quite busy, our servers Troy and Samantha were very attentive, making sure that we had a relaxing and celebratory dining experience. Troy helped us navigate the extensive menu and made some superb suggestions – the Death by Gumbo and Crab Beignets are definite “must-have” dishes that cannot be found anywhere else! The veal entrée was also amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Thank you Troy for your wonderful recommendations!
Ryan came by a couple of times to check on us – his demeanor was both professional and personal, making us feel very welcomed and special. I was very appreciative of the staff’s efforts to make my wife’s birthday one to remember!
As locals we have many wonderful options for fine dining, but Restaurant R’evolution has now moved to the top of our list! We will definitely return!
Kyle Butler
I’ve had the privilege to dine at some of the finest restaurants in the world and John Folse’s Resturant R’evolution ranks among the top five meals I’ve had in my life. Everything at this establishment is on point. What truly sets this gem apart from many other fine restaurants is their commitment to making dining an experience. One of the most impressive wine cellars I’ve seen, coupled with five star cuisine and knowledgeable personal service makes this restaurant a must visit. I guarantee this restaurant will surprise you with layers upon layers of excellence. I’d recommend the scallops with the foie gras. Thank you Sam, Jordan, and Daniel for your showmanship and your commitment to exceeding our expectations at every turn. If you’re looking for an unforgettable culinary experience in New Orleans, you must visit R’evolution.
Rick Harden
We were greated quickly and taken right to our table.

Amazing food, wonderful service.
Jason Li
5 STAR! Death by Gumbo was AWSOME.. Foie gras on scallops was also very nice. There service was also very welcoming and also informative. We had a great time there, maybe the best restaurant we've had during our trip.
Bob Delaney
I enjoy this restaurant, the food is good, I like the environment. My guest complained about the waits between dishes and the rushed service... but the food is what I am there for. I am looking forward to the tasting menu in the hopes that I can sample all I want without ending up over eating and suffering from indigestion. We often visit New Orleans and this is a stop I'd like to make regular.
Barry Savage
One of the best meals we've ever had. Did the 40oz tomahawk Ribeye for 2. Service was excellent. Reservations highly recommended.
Lisa Sampair
Great dinner. Thankful we didnt have to get too dressed up. Food was great. The Familia broad was awesome with a great selection of cheeses. The au gratin were a little too cheesy but the brussel sprouts and truffle potatoes were amazing.
Joya Jerome
Amazing place wonderful private tour
Lee Byrd
Excellent Presentation, Superb Cocktails and Wine, Cliche Portion Sizes, Nearly all food was exquisite. The good was perfectly cooked but the seasoning was minimal. While I "get it." Certain dishes often require subtle seasoning Frois Gras (superb), Scallops (perfection), etc. the lack of seasoning made other dishes (dessert most notably) seem lackluster. When serving comically sized desserts, the flavors should send your guests home, wanting of one more bite of sweet ecstacy. Alas, the final course of an otherwise OUTSTANDING MEAL, simply fell flat. At this price point, an underwhelming, and comically small, strawberry shortcake cost them 1-star.
Audra U
I went here with my husband and enjoyed a few glasses of wine and the Triptych of Quail which includes Southern-fried, Boudin-stuffed, Absinthe-glazed quail. It was heavenly. The waiters were so friendly and knowledgeable and when I mentioned I really liked the Boudin they gave me a list of several places to get great boudin. Out of the many, many places I visited, this was once of my favorites.
Ruth Martin
Food and ambience was great! Loved the crabmeat beignets. Death by gumbo was yum!! Personally didn’t like the Grits and Grillardes because the grits tasted like baby porridge. A little pricy but overall a good restaurant.
Theresa Stewart
For the price of this restaurant I expected a little more. The food was good. The service was great. The pacing was a bit quick. We were there less than 1 hour with an appetizer and a dessert.

5 of 5 stars
Identity crisis with over-the-top presentation.
Food on-par with August, but there's much more attention to presentation here. Very unique dish-ware for each course. Fun "box of goodies" to end the meal, too.
Menu is a bit scattered: there's a selection of Italian cured meats, potted meats and terrines, caviar, and steaks. So, I found myself asking, "Are you a steak house? A French bistro? An Italian café?"
About $100 per person, gratuity and wine included.
Rianne VanDervoort
Amazing food and face-service but cannot tolerate the behind the scenes.
We went in tonight to meet old family friends who had a reservation for three. The restaurant was incredivly accomdating to add two more to the reservation. To top it all off, they took us to the "chec's office to dine," which meant we walked through the kitchen, up the stairs, and behind a door to a private room. It was such a surprise. Wonderful food and service the entire time.
It wasn't until we left that I became unsatisfied. 3/5 of my party left while I stayed behind to clean up the table for our wonderful servers. My boyfriend and I walked down the stairs into the kitchen where the entire kitchen staff began to complain about our table and how we "didn't deserve the service we enjoyed." One man raised his hand in front of everyone and told hem to "shhhh" while my boyfriend and I walked down the stairs. I turned back to say, "no, no, continue..." to which a staff member said, "we could go on all night."
It was an incredible meal with incredible people along the way before the entire staff started to complain about the accommodation that fell into our laps. A note to the restaurant: if you're going to bring guests through the nooks and crannies as part of an experience, make sure your staff doesn't speak illy of your guests.
Macgyver Duarte
Dashonand Tina are the best servers I ever had in my life. Give that man a raise!!!!
Would come back solely to be served by them.
Marvin McClean
The service was excellent, the staff were extremely accommodating and all the food was great. The setting and atmosphere was very romantic, sophisticated and upscale so I would recommend this to anyone [who [admittedly has the budget].
Bryan Briggs
Death by Gumbo: Delicious. Everything else: delicious. Really great and knowledgeable servers.
Luz Bries
Best meal in New Orleans! There is so many fabulous flavors in this city, but the dinning experience coupled with a perfect menu is a must when visiting New Orleans.
Savannah Boucher
was staying at royal sonesta with my friend, kathy hudson, who had experienced the chef/owner's food in natchitoches where he went for a wing-ding. she wanted to go, so we did. although commander's palace is my favorite restaurant in america.....this place runs a great second. the crab beignets were incredible. the waitress was extremely knowledgeable and the whole experience i will not forget. exceptional. truly top notch. don't miss it.

Treasure Green
The crab beignets and lobster brunch dishes were delicious. The service was amazing. It was the best brunch experience I have had in a very long time.
Lisa Hall
I had great expectations for restaurant r'evolution, however, what I received in response was inconsistent services (new training server) who was initially excited to provide us with options and suggestions but quickly devolved to just dropping off plates on the table with a short 'enjoy.' We also had numerous other wrong-plates from other tables placed before we had to politely correct them.
Flora P. Williams
I went during Coolinary, a citywide restaurant event featuring prix fixe menus designed to attract customers during the slower summer months. While some places showcase their best dishes during this event to attract new fans, this did not seem to be the case at R'evolution.
Ashlyn T
Amazing experience. Went above and beyond to accommodate my no dairy request. The swordfish was delish, DEFINITELY recommend! Service is impeccable. Travis was attentive and a pleasure. Revolution was wonderful. Go!!!
Joe Meluskey
Great bartenders. Crab cake beignets excellent. Wine list could be the best in the city with a knowledgeable staff. Hey! They have tvs too. Asknto watch the game.
Jason Rotenberg
Everything was extremely tasty with great presentation.
Sweet potato bisque, strawberry salad, beer battered crab beignets (really good!), artichoke augratin... all great. The meat plate was also very nice. The desert was also great (creme brulle fravored white chocolate cake of some sort).
Cameron Berthelsen
Have only gone for brunch but this place is exquisite. The food is incredible but the staff deserves the star of the show. We have called to compliment our service every time we've left.
REM
Fantastic food. You must save room for dessert. Superb service.
Keith Olenchak
The food was to die for. An experience I will never forget. The food, the drink...they handled my wife's gluten allergy flawlessly. If you are a foodie and can afford the higher end venue this is a must.
Tatyana Hulet
With out a doubt the best place we have had the pleasure to eat in the quarter. It would be a disservice if you did not eat here. Not enough words to describe our experience. Please reserve a table and enjoy.
Garrett Hartman
I went here for my anniversary and while the service and experience were top class, the food left a bit to be desired. I've heard this was one of the best restaurants in the city, but I did not get that impression food wise when I dined here.
Jean K A
Had stayed away after a mediocre experience fir thanksgiving. However such a holiday is not a fair test so we went back and boy we glad we did. Chef folse was in the house and every single course was a memorable experience
Mr Poppy
Excellent food! Knowledgeable, courteous, prompt staff. Atmosphere is fantastic old New Orleans style without the dusty dreeriness of an old restaurant.
CARLOS F
Food was delicious, and worth the price but service and decor felt like it came from 7 different places. Uneven and expensive, just not what one would expect from a high end place, although food and drink alone would have gotten 5 stars
Jeff Holcomb
Amazing food and service.
Jay Kim
This restaurant holds a special place for me because this is where I dined with my wife after proposing to her. The restaurant puts a modern spin on classic NOLA. We had seafood beignets, pork shank, and quail prepared three-ways (fried, roasted, braised). Dessert came in a beautiful jewelry box after we ordered on the iPad menus. An extra special treat was that Chef John Folse stopped by our table and was gracious to take a photo.
Bill Youngson
This restaurant Delivers on all counts.. Service Food is over the top.. The Food nothing short of amazing.. the Gumbo and Steaks seafood are all perfect. Not cheap but worth EVERY PENNY.. Foie Gras was over the top as were scallops, oysters etc
Tracy Jameson
If you are not a seafood lover then you aren't going to find a lot on the menu for you. Service is impeccable, but not stuffy. At a lower price, I would call this restaurant excellent, but since the prices are high my expectations rise.
Eric Foreman
Fantastic! Food was exceptional! The entire staff was positive, smiling, engaged their customers and enjoyed their job
One of the best meals I have had. You have to go to revolution!!!!!!!!!
Sean Miller
Sex in your mouth multiple times over. Sorry for the blunt description but that is the only way to describe this place. This is the 2nd time my wife and I have been there. This time we brought my stepdaughter for her 21st birthday and wanted to stay and sleep in the wine cellar. We are regular people who love nice things in life and this place makes us want to be there every week. The food and Troy make you feel comfortable and at home while experiencing the finer things in life. TROY TROY TROY took it over the top. He will be our head waiter there forever. If 6 stars were available for this place we would give it to them.
Laura Montero - Stern
Great food, very interesting options and service was great Crab beignets and death by gumbo were unique and very good. Had an awesome cherry wine - no added sugar, kind of tart and very good!

This was unique. My first experience with the "Chef's Table", but it really wasn't a well-placed chef's table...and it didn't seem like a true experience. the chefs really didn't present the food very well.

Deshawn was the best. Amazing service. Incredible stories/descriptions to get you excited about the menu.

Excellent restaurant, impeccable service, interesting food.

Food is good, but all the things are heavy. Service was generally good except the waitress got one of our dishes wrong despite confirming with her when we ordered and made it sounds like we were wrong. Prices are slightly too expensive tough.

I didnt like being sat next to the hanging slabs of meat in the fridge but the servers were really nice and funny. George and Johnny were so hilarious, it really made the rest of our dinner. And dessert was perfect!!

Everything is absolutely first rate, a tad stuffy and loaded with tourists. Where else on earth is a Martini seventeen dollars? Sure the chef can cook, the menu is interesting and the ambience is inviting...in a Disney sort if way.

The ambiance was really nice and the food was just ok for me. I ordered a glass of wine but it never came. Thankfully they didn't charge me.

It was okay- nothing special. The staff was very nice. The place is clean, and comfortable. I just wouldn't come back- the price is way too high for such average dishes.

Decent place – a bit gimmicky, but food was fairly good. Crab beignets were the highlight.

Love the food here. Anything you get off the menu will be the best. Be sure to plan ahead if you want a table, but the good news is that the full menu is served in the bar.
Beau Cass
Delicious with both adventurous and true 'ole dishes like bone marrow, crab beignets, and yum gumbo. Great booze for all moods

Tina and Dashaun were outstanding. From the time we were sat to dessert and coffee we had a lovely time.

Food was awesome service was awesome pricing reflects both.
I would eat there again if given the opportunity.
If you are in town and can afford it do it.

One of the best in town, if not the. Everytime food drinks and service is amazing. Frankly I'm not sure why they don't have a Michelin star yet.

Had a less than perfect experience there. Appetizer had plastic wrap in it, and crab beignet had a bunch of crab shell in it. Drinks were good, main course was good.
