Reviews of Pythian Market
Multiple options. Sort of a food court. There’s a breakfast all day place. Healthy smoothies place. Pizza place. Vietnamese place. Jamaican food. Chicken place. Poke bowls. Mexican food. A full bar. And a coffee spot. Highly recommend the smoothie place and definitely get the tostones and also Jamaican chicken curry.
I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here along with a few cocktails for a night cap. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I wish I could remember the young lady's name working at Lattes on Loyola. She made an outstanding cup of coffee and remembered my order the next day. The ghetto burger from Origino Ghetto Burger was seasoned to perfection. The meat pizza from Pizza in a Box was so damn good. The sauce was chef's 💋. That batter at Willie Mae's...I have no words. I had a great time conversing with Jake (Silky Red)at Bar 1908. The frose was delicious. My hotel was next door, so it was very convenient for a quick bite or coffee fix. Great ambience and great vibes from the people working there.
Food halls are such a great idea! We all ordered from different vendors. Got a drink from the bar...frozen berry sangria. We were able to hang out & talk for a couple hours without being worried We were holding up a table. Definitely recommend it for parties with different tastes.
I ordered from 14parishes. Their food was top notch & the service was stellar!Wife ordered a burger.. it was ok but service was meh & it was $$. I think she ordered wrong 🤣🤦♂️ Friend ordered a calzone & loved it.
The Pythian Market place is a amazing place to eat they different food stand in one building. It's very popular place with the locals and tourists it close to some of the hotels..
Great little food hall with lots of options to pick from for everyone! Quick service and love that there’s a bar.
One of the amazing food halls in New Orleans, stationed perfectly in the CBD. They have such a variety of booths, from coffee to sandwiches to Asian cuisine to desserts and juices. One of our favorite places to eat here is Eat Well NOLA & 14 Parishes, both of which have their own locations but it's great to have them together! Here is their Pho-Ritto (Pho in a Burrito) and Oxtail plate!!
@PhidingTheFam
There isn’t a lot of options. The customer service is pretty bad too. My mom ate at a Jamaican place and she hated it. However, I got a pizza and it was delicious. I think it was oven bricked. I would come back specifically for that.
Nice variety of eateries to select from, also has on site bar! The pizza was decent, Bar 1908 was great for drinks!
I love the selection of food in this food hall. 14 parish has amazing jerk chicken and oxtail. My momma's fried chicken wings and waffle are delicious although really pricey for wings. But their red beans and homemade lemon sweet tea is to die for. Willie mae's fried chicken has the crispiest and most flavorly fried chicken ever. They fry the chicken twice so it's like double the crispy. Kais has really great poke bowls. Lot of choices to put in their bowl. So flavorful and good BUT the last five times I've gotten crawfish in the bowl, it was old and dehydrated?. I LOVE crawfish and they have added fresh crawfish a few times when they first opened but I keep rolling the dice and hoping one day they would add fresher crawfish. So i add the crawfish as an extra protein and I'm always dissapointed. Just get their raw if you want a pokebowl. Don't get the crawfish.
Lots of great cuisine to choose from. Very clean building with lots of seating!
The Pythian market is a wonderful historic building turned into a melting pot of delicious urban fare. We ate there several times on our week long trip to New Orleans, enjoying everything from Jamaican jerk chicken to brick oven pizza.
I encourage anyone who loves food or history to stop by and grab a bite while also taking a moment to read the placards that give a hint to the soul of this building.
You won't be disappointed.
Go here when you’re hungry but not quite sure what you want to eat. So many great spots to choose from, including a full bar for a drink while you wait. I can recommend the stuffed wings & springs rolls from the Vietnamese place - around the corner from the pizza spot. The pizza was pretty good but not what I expected. Good coffee shop as well. I loved the Ragin’ Cajun roll from the sushi spot, it’s a must try if you like fancy rolls.
A great food hall, I was here with a colleague during a conference, and it was nice for us to each grab something quick and eat together, but get totally different things. Clean and plenty of seating, but be ready to sit at a big table with strangers or wait a little. Most people were there for a workday lunch so it turns over fast.
My group enjoyed an incredible dinner at the far less crowded Willie Mae's here and got a round of drinks at the 1908 bar. Next time I'll skip the drinks. There was only one bartender and I've never seen an employee move slower. Drinks were decent, but we waited almost a half hour for 3 cocktails.
On my last visit to New Orleans two years ago, this food hall functioned as food halls are supposed to with individual kitchens and a broad array of flavors. On our most recent visit we learned that a corporation in Orlando took over. It is no longer a food hall. The individual kitchens remain, but are mostly empty. The menu still has different nationalities and flavors, but the variety is diminished. Everything we ordered was amazing and the service could not have been friendlier, but sadly the charm diminished.
I ate here on a few nights. It's a range of places doing small menus but doing it well. I tried Indian and fried chicken. Both were great.
This place just needs somewhere doing deserts
My hotel was right next door to the Pythian and I loved it! There’s something for everybody here (from healthy to comfort food, cultural etc), not too expensive, and the atmosphere/staff were very chill and welcoming. The bar had great (strong) drinks and plenty of seating. As far as food, I definitely recommend Willie Mae’s (Shrimp platter w/Mac and cheese, chicken wings, red beans and rice-all very good) and 14 Parishes Jamaican restaurant (beef/chicken pattie’s, curry chicken w/rice & peas and callaloo, and homemade fruit juices are definitely a must try!). I hope to try the other restaurants the next time I return to NOLA because Willie Mae’s and 14 Parishes had me in a complete chokehold this visit!
I visited Pythian Market a few days ago with my friend and really enjoyed it. They have a number of food options, from Mexican to Jamaican to Po’ boys. There is also a bar and a coffee stand. It’s a really pleasant, clean atmosphere, and in a fairly nice location on Loyola and Gravier. It is a little pricey, but definitely worth the cost. I ordered a plate of jerked chicken, rice & peas, and cabbage from the Jamaican restaurant, 14 Parishes. The food was honestly incredible! The sauce and habanero they offered me were delicious. This market is definitely worth visiting—put it on your list.
They had a DJ who played too loud for such a small area...but they have a parklet.
Pretty sweet spot with lots of good food options, drinks, and some outside seating. Are Willie Mae’s here and really enjoyed the food! Drinks from the bar inside were good too, but kinda pricey for the cocktails.
From dinner last night to breakfast this morning... the food is with 10 stars. 14 Parishes Jamaican Restaurant was amazingly good. So good, that I had to grab some beef patties with my breakfast this morning. But Ma Momma’s House hit me with the chicken and waffles. Man, these wings are off the chain and this waffle.... well you know what, when you’re in town... come get you some. No more spoilers, but the food and service were great. Looking forward to returning in the future.
Great place with alot of various options for good food. Try Edison's Espresso and Tea Bar it's great and Dee the owner is the best. 14 Parish is a great Jamaican spot in the market as well. The bar across from Edison's is also a great spot with natural juices to make fresh drinks.
The most memorable thing about Pythian market was definitely Frencheeze. I wish I knew the name of the guy behind the counter but he was really nice and the food was really good. I had a pulled pork slider with pimento cheese and fries. Thanks was the best thing I ate at Pythian. The cocktails were really good. The trash grits at fete at fete were good but I was so full by then that I couldn't truly enjoy it. The decor was pretty cool. Lots of background art for your social media pictures.
In theory this place (food court) should be better. Maybe covid and/or the holidays or just the time of day we stopped in...but you never could know when and which places were going to be open. We ended up eating here once at Ma Momma's House chicken and waffles. Which seemed to be the only spot there open at the time. The line went pretty quick but waiting for the food was a different story as their fryer suddenly broke down and they had to cook the chicken at a different kitchen int he market. They could have informed us about the delay. Would have liked the grits the meal came with but they were out of grits (at 11am?!) The food was good when we did get it and they threw in an extra wing for compensation.
A wonderful variety of food options. Glad we went. Ate Willie Mae's Chicken with French fries.
Lots of great options - I’d recommend Kai’s as their poke bowls are great.
MaMommas had a wonderful breakfast this morning! Waffles, eggs, grits and bacon! Loved their "Dirty South" tea (strawberry lemonade and tea)
Located in an area that needed some dining options: lots of tasty-sounding vendors to pick from! I wish this had been open last time I was in town staying at the hotel next door.
I chose Cocinita, and had one vegetarian arepa (El Vegano) and one chicken arepa (La Sifrina). Both were delicious with great flavors and textures but easily fell apart while eating them.
Looking forward to visiting more vendors at Pythian market next time that I am in town.
A great little gem. We stayed at the Troubadour and this was the next building over so by convenience alone it wins for hotel guests. It has a good variety of food selection and a nice little bar with a daily happy hour.
Stopped by 14 Parishes because it had rave reviews in several local publications.
Maybe we visited on an off day but I was not impressed. I've had much better and more authentic Caribbean fare in Brooklyn.
The portions do not match the prices and the food is terribly under seasoned. While my oxtail stew was meaty it lacked flavor, heat and spice. The sauteed plaintains were sub par. I've had better grub in soup kitchens.
And if the cook/bartender had paid attention to the order rather than flirting with my wife he wouldn't have forgotten to make our beverages (that we paid for...and asked for three times).
Nope. Not going here again. Maybe if someone else is working the counter. Should gone to Frencheeze instead.
Great venue with a variety of different restaurants. There’s plenty of seating and place is comfortable. They’ve got food ranging from Mexican, Cajun, to Korean
I love going to Pythian Market for quick, delicious food. The food and drink options are great but my favorite is Meribo for their woodfired pizza. Prices at Pythian are higher than a fast food spot but in line with the high quality. Especially great for lunch or pre-show meal.
Great example of the Urban Space/Shared Market Space concept. I ate at Concita's, a Venezuelan version of a taco stand, which features a rich barbacoa on corn flautas, and spicy tangy sweet jalapeno lime juice drink. I'd go back just for that!
A great place to hangout on game day 2 blocks from the stadium with big screens and a DJ.
I ate at the Indian place here and it was the best Indian food in years. Had the butter chicken and Biryani. Highly recommend along with the Chaat Samosa. Incredible
Really good place to meet with co workers or small group for lunch. Free wifi but did not use it. The atmosphere is active with several restaurants and a bar and TV to view your favorite sports.
This place is fantastic. There are so many options for food so you can pick and choose things from different places. Grey Bird Baking has awesome cookies, there’s delicious coffee (that you can add CBD oil to), great options for breakfast and lunch, as well as a full bar. You really can’t go wrong!
This place is fabulous! Highly recommend it people are friendly food is reasonable definitely the best place we visited in New Orleans ! Love it
Delicious food vendors and cocktails. Fun casual atmosphere. Great and convenient lunch spot! Wish we had more time to try more of the food stands
I appreciate the food hall concepts popping up all over the states. This is a great addition to the city. Pizza, juice, coffee and Caribbean food in one venue.
Tons of great vegan options, such as the Pho-rito from Eatwell and the Falafel plate from Little Fig. I highly recommend the jackfruit bowl from Squeezed. It's like a poke bowl but better!
So many choices!! Willie Mae's chicken is always delicious, but if you don't like chicken there are plenty of other places to eat. The bartender is super friendly and they always have great happy hours! I recommend stopping in for an early drink.
This place is a work in progress some places have it together more than others. A nice selection of places to eat. We picked the tacos and they were okay. Enjoy.
Really cool spot is almost like a dining court at the mall but the food choices are much better. Had 7 food stalls around a central seating area. Had the trash grits, pizza, and brisket sammich wide selection of food and ready fast.
The 1908 bar inside the market has fantastic craft drinks and great service!!
We ate at Frenchees within the Pythian Market for brunch and shared a Rachel, a Molly, and some homemade fries. Really great place to get a yummy, quick, and inexpensive meal!
Great place the visit. The food court has plenty of great options and a BAR
Place is always immaculately clean. Had the Phorito from Eatwell , Empanadas & Arepas from La Cocinita everything was perfection
This is a neat spot with several different types of food to choose from, pizza, Indian, Caribbean, burgers and others. I chose the stall with the Caribbean food. The jerk chicken was great but the Mac and Cheese stole the show. I would definitely go back here.
Amazing!! They can have all the stars! Super duper fresh, lots of flavor! I ate it so fast. Great portion size for the value!!! Will definitely be back!!!!!!!!! You have to try this place!!!!!!
The eatery and then the bar OMG!! 1908 bar and Wiile Mae team's are my favorite people!
Awesome atmosphere with a great selection of food and drinks. Definitely recommend for the Indian and Jamaican food.
Loved the variety of options and ambience. I went with a friend and we were able to get different genres of food and still eat at the same restaurant.
Pizza was good and came out hot and fast. Great place to stop for lunch
Construction is in progress, but the setup is looking pretty cool. Based on the location, I can gather it as being a locals spot without all of the tourism.
chill place with lots of different foods. the fried chicken at willys was tasty and very juicy. the staff at the bar were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local beers
Lots of choices,as this is basically a food court. We arrived late, around 7pm. About half of the places were closed, but Willie May's looks great and the other place where we ordered Jerk shrimp and curry chicken was very good. Bar was ok, but pricey.
I can say "I've been there and done that". To me it didn't speak of true old school NO cuisine. The food was okay and the right portion size.
The Pythian Market was like a building that contained a food court....an amazing food court. There was something for just about every taste. We ate at a cajun or creole place. The name was Fete au fete streatery. The food was great! My son had a huge chicken biscuit and i had the shrimp and grits. My son went elsewhere for our coffee.
Great use of space, tried Cru and the lobster roll is AMAZING, Beau Soleil oysters are too die for!
Stopped here to meet a friend that lives in New Orleans. Did not eat anything, however looks like a really nice food court that I will check out next time I visit. Its a food hall with different food vendors. The vibe seemed very friendly.
Great place for a variety of food, small crowd and good AC! Plenty of seating and very chill, clean place to hang...even solo.
Willie Mae’s was delicious! Best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. My partner ordered from the Jamaican restaurant and really enjoyed her food. Cool spot with a variety of options.
It's a nice space....wasn't impressed with the food though....attributing it to the opening blues and hoping they get better over time.
Cute little market with a few different restaurants/cafes/bar. For sure recommend Willie Mae's chicken!!! Best fried chicken I had ever!!! It was so good, I wish they had more of those!!
The Venezuelan place was amazing!!! Best arepa I've ever had!
Lots of great food options and open clean seating area. Visiting from out of town and stayed at a nearby hotel and loved all the different options. Had poke bowls from Kai and they were delicious. Fresh ingredients with great topping options made for a very tasty change from all the typical standard fried menus.
Really fun! We, Green Garden Bakery, did a pop up sell there and it was loads of fun!
What I love most about this place is that there is something for everyone. The food at the Indian restaurant was delicious. Can't to go again.
Lots of different types of food. Average price from $5-15. There is a bar also.
Pythian Market offered a lot of variety with mixed results. 14 Parishes had great Jerk Chicken and Cornbread. I enjoyed the crawfish etouffee but my wife disliked the hotdogs from TJ Gourmet. Chicken tenders and fries were good from Willie May's, but the food took forever. So long everyone was done eating and my son had to bring his food back to the hotel. Unsure why but The Pizza Box and Ma Mommas House of Cornbread, Chicken, and Waffles was closed and we arrived right at 12:30. I would give some of these places another try and would definitely go back to 14 Parishes, by themselves they would get 5 stars.
We are here for our honeymoon and gourmet tj was delicious! Never had such a juicy burger!!!
Pythian market is my favorite go to place on the weekend they have different restaurants in there offering a different taste not to mention the vibe everyone is always nice and friendly
I cannot wait to return to enjoy more of the food. The vendors were friendly and polite and I did not feel afraid of getting Covid because the staff followed pre auctions and still managed to make a lot of great food. The bartender made me a wicked sweet old fashioned.
Great variety of delicious options. Try the strawberry juice blend from 14 Parishes!
Great atmosphere! Convenient parking. Overall, not too bad. Some of the vendors were a bit underwhelming. On the bright side, The Pizza Box was excellent. Customer service and food were both great.
Absolutely phenomenal food market full of many different restaurants. I really enjoyed the Vietnamese cuisine, my husband loved the Jamaican, and my kids really enjoyed the poke bowls! Best spring rolls ive ever had, and the “phoritta”which was really excellent new take on pho in a burrito.
Stop in this eatery for a quick breakfast snack. The food was fresh and delicious...
Eat Well, the Vietnamese place is incredibly tasty, call ahead it’s usually busy which is a good thing. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of the food or the service. Very friendly people.
Cool atmosphere great food options
Always on point regardless of the food mood you're in. Vietnamese/Jamaican/Latin/American/Southern/Pizzeria all under 1 roof (don't forget the bar). Great tasting and all good people working in there.
Wonderful time at bar 1908 and the pizza box . I work near by and the staff always treate me very well
I love this one stop shop with different cuisines and a bar. It smells so good in there! A friend recommended the place and I didn't want to leave. Good food and great happy hour spot.
Pretty good selection of food at this market. Could have been a little cleaner. I recommend the BBQ.
Great selection of vendors representing various cuisines: American, Mexican, Jamaican, Korean, etc. Bar + coffee shop.
5 minutes from Canal st. Love this format, wish could try more there!
Pastry at the coffee shop is 10 times better than Starbucks))👼🤣 …
Great place to stop with a wide selection of restaurants. There are choices available for almost any taste in food. Our favorite by far was 14 Parishes. However, there were many other great selections. Don't miss out on the Happy Hour specials (don't forget to ask!). Affordable and great food - definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.
I came to Pythian market to get some vegan pho from Eat Well. Unfortunately they were out of the veggie broth which was surprising. I got the bahn mi instead. I've had many bahn mi's, all amazing. This one was bland. I did like how they cut and fried the tofu fresh.
I also went to Kai's to get a vegan bowl. The bowl was good but the customer service was a bit lacking.
A little slow with the fried chicken, but it's a great.place to eat and sit down for a while.
Lots of food vendors to choose from. Good food, but a bit pricey.
You can get almost any kind of cuisine you can imagine at this place. Nothing is too expensive, the portions are great, and the food has yet to disappoint me.
There are about 5 to 6 different places to choose from here and 1 bar. The bar do have happy hour times (sorry I can't remember exact timeframe). To me the food is over priced at all of the chains.
I did eat from here twice because of convenience, should have just got in the car and drove elsewhere. Spent way too much money here and the quantity don't match the money shelled out.
Wide variety of food vendors. The Pho from the Vietnamese place was amazing and the portion size was huge! The chicken soft tacos were simply delicious. I had them with flour tortillas instead of the corn ones. Nice spice profile too!! Will definitely be back to try something else.
Be prepared to make the toughest choice ever! So many amazing food selections!
Many different choices for food within. Plenty of healthy choices as well. Choose from the wide array from shrimp and grits to Jamaican cuisine to a healthy smoothie all are great.
Fantastic selection of food choices. I went to the Jamaican restaurant. The jerk Chicken was very tasty. The meat slid off of the bone. I believe the chef is from Spanish Town. I can not wait until Sunday brunch with the Ackee & salt fish.
Visited The Pythian Market during the Super Bowl boycott. Immediately when I walked in my boyfriend and I was shocked we had never heard of it. The atmosphere was 10/10 and having multiple food vendors was a win so we could have variety. The bar tenders were helpful and worked quickly. I could go on about the vendors but I’m probably going to be a frequent visitor just based upon the history of the building itself (which I later found out about) now the name of the market & bar make sense! If you’re African American I recommend going and supporting just for the sake of history.
Tons of great variety here! Frencheeze has amazing grilled cheese/breakfast sandwiches and Little Fig is a great spot if you’re craving Middle Eastern. The smoothies in the back corner were also well it if you’re thirsty.
The coffee place was mediocre, so I’d venture elsewhere if you want a latte.
Lots of eating options. Our party ate from three different places and everyone agreed food was good. Seating not very comfortable.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of food from the restaurants with stations here. Made similar to the St. Roch Market food court with similar feel and price point. Can draw some of the hipster crowd.
Chose Willie Mae's for chicken and it was delicious!
Next time, I'm trying the vendor with the multiple variety of bowls.
Staff took care of each customer quick courteous the food was tasty and their pineapple ginger juice can never get enough of.
Cool spot for a quick lunch. Had several food stalls, including Willie Mae's Scotch House which is always delicious! Parking is not convenient but there are several lots close by and it's in the bus line.
Actually pretty good. Would be a hopping place if it wasn't for Covid. The Venezuelan food was pretty good and the WiFi was decent as well. There are however NOT enough bathrooms!!!! And nobody refills or maintains the Hand Sanitizer!
Go for happy hour! The drinks are great and there are literally tons of options for food. My personal favorite? Grab an old fashioned at the bar and a Jamaican patty. You won’t be disappointed!
Fete au Fete is AMAZING... between the food and the people this place was the bomb. Had some of the best gumbo along with shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in my life. The people, the atmosphere, the food are all incredible. Gotta check it out!
I come to Nola for work once a year and somehow I had no idea this place was just a 5 min walk away from my hotel. I went to visit for the first time yesterday and it was amazing. So many places to choose from. I loved it. I will certainly be back!
Came through last week for a small gathering with family to celebrate my graduation. Food was amazing. Every single side was good. I normally hate brussel sprouts and couldn’t get enough. The love is in the food and I will definitely be back! Thank you!
I have been to Pythian Market a handful of times now, but I wanted to share my WONDERFUL experience hosting my rehearsal dinner at the market. We had an awesome, partially secluded area reserved for us that worked out well. Each guest got a gift card & they could choose their own adventure for dinner. This was exactly what we wanted for our two families that were just meeting each other & everyone said the food was incredible & had a great time. The two staffers with us that night were SO great. Michael and Lauren made sure everything went smoothly and helped us out when we had a small hiccup with the gift cards. The night was so perfect & I highly recommend Pythian Market for any event or just for a fun time anytime.
Great little market that has so many food choices! I have had the pizza, the breakfast food, and the french cheese place (pictured below). They had a Rachel sandwhich so of course I had to have it! They are heavy on the dressings but its the south! Great place to go to when your S/O cant deside where to eat.
Great variety of food in here!! You can get something for everyone! Relaxing atmosphere and a quiet little spot to enjoy your mael
This market is a gem in the CBD. There is a very good variety of options, and the space is beautiful. Finding table seating can be difficult during the lunch rush, but if you are not in a group you can find seating around the edges. I look forward to coming here frequently.
Love this place. This market had about 15 different pop up restaurants. They all looked amazing and I tried two but cant remember because I was out there for a bachelor party if you catch my drift. But a must go to for quick bites, food on the go or to sit down and enjoy.
So much variety that it's hard to imagine not being able to find several things you'd want to eat from the different vendors. My 1st visit, I ate Venezuelan. 2nd time I had Jamaican. My husband eats very plain 'ordinary' stuff so he enjoyed the wood-fired pizza.
Several restaurants under one roof for an amazing lunch experience. The butternut squash and black bean tacos were awesome, and my wife's Nola trio (shrimp n grits, red beans and rice, and crawfish poutine) was excellent. Maybe pricey for lunch (I could've had six of the tacos, but an order of 3 was $11), but cool venue with tons of great options.
I live nearby and this is one of my favorites spots in town. Clean, lots of variety, and good music (sometimes live). I've been there for lunch, dinner, happy hour and even to work/study on my laptop while sipping on a beverage. Please, notice my comments refer to pre-pandemic scenario.
Im impressed with the variety food available here..as a indecisive person this place is perfect for me...bar? Excellent. Space? Excellent, Staff? Incredibly friendly and helpful. Individual Vendors? Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fun. Food Quality? Delicious, plentiful..Location? Easy, walkable, on streetcar line. Overall this place is a gem, home away from home, like Cheers 😁
Love the many options here. Everyone can get something different and still come together and have a great time and meal. Staff is super friendly and helpful. And the prices are reasonable. Annnd the best part.... there’s a full bar, with happy hours
This was recommended by the concierge today. Great food hall with such a variety of options. We three ladies each went in totally opposite directions. Bahn Mi, Poke bowl, Pizza. There is a bar. And many other options for fare. Lots of seating. Will return when here in NOLA.
Great food options for people who work and/or live in the CBD. Open at convenient hours, you can basically eat all of your meals at Pythian Market. Good prices, good happy hour at the bar. Highly recommend. This will be my second home now.
Pythian Market is amazing. I've become a regular for delivery orders during this crazy COVID-19 situation we're all living through, and everything I've ordered has been spot on, from meals to a few household items I couldn't find elsewhere. The delivery people and the couple of folks I've spoken to over the phone have all been great.
I find the various food choices here excellent. There must be 10 different places to choose from to eat. I do find the items here too be pricey and think a person could go broke eating here every day. The happy hour specials on drinks and food are okay. On the plus side I've been here about 10 times and never gotten a thing that I didn't like.
Stopped for a drink and break. Cool ambience, friendly service at the bar. Did not check out food court except to see a variety of options.
We went to Ma Momma's House, and it was incredible! I got a blueberry waffle. Hands down the best waffle I've ever had. I also had one of my husband's chicken tenders, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
A place of variety for you taste buds. Check out frencheeze in the back next to a spot that severs breakfast all day and the best Jamaican spot 14 parishes. But don't forget about frencheeze. "Lover of bread butter and cheese" sliders that will holler. Tell am b3 sent ya. Best service out of all 13 vendors. Great spot for kids parties and etc. Come check them out won't be disappointed just confused on what to eat with so many amazing food choices
Great food hall with awesome service. Includes a bar and a wide range of food stalls at reasonable prices.
Visited for the first time, and loved it. Lots of great food options, plenty of seating, wonderful decor and art, and the lines at lunch were very short. Get in while you can because this place will likely become very busy as folks become more aware of the location and offerings.
Went to Pythian Market last Saturday. What a great place to get food and hang out. We had fried chicken from Wille Maes and got drinks from the bar. This was such a nice place to hang out and get food. Lots of choices for all appetites. Check it out you won’t be disappointed
Visited for the first time today. My husband and I tried Eat Well, TJ's Gourmet, and Willie Mae's. The phoritto at Eat Well, the Mac n cheese at Willie Mae's and the alligator sausage at TJ's Gourmet were AMAZING! Our favorite part of our visit was talking to the man that took and made our order at TJs. He was so kind and personable. If we were local we would come back just for him.
Hit or Miss: I’ve had 3 experiences at Pythian Market. Basically, it’s great for food + drinks for big groups or folks on-the-go, but given the way it’s set up, the professionalism of vendors varies. In one case, I asked someone about an ingredient and they were very friendly and conversational. In another case, the vendor was very rude/dismissive out the gate and clearly had no connection to what they were making me. My recommendation is to check out Little Fig or La Parishes. Get your coffee from elsewhere.
Meribos is the most amazing place in this market. The employees are so awesome! Jacob and Nigel were the most accomidating and lively employees. It seemed as if there was no wait! Jacob kept us laughing and engaged while we waited. Nigel cooked everything to perfection! Even when I dropped my pizza on the counter, Jacob was cheery and helped me to get it back on the plate. I wish I could give them a 10 out of 5. It was truly amazing experience.
Great variety of good food selections. Staff at Willie Mae"s was super nice. All members of our party found great food at 4 different restaurants. Wonderful location.
On the pricey side for what it was. Plus, I was charged more than what the menu board listed at TJ's Gourmet Sandwiches and La Cocinita. When I asked why it was more they just said menu prices have changed...
Great options and atmosphere! Looking forward to coming back here to try more of the vendors!
was trying to add Eat Well Pho to the map inside Pythian. The Pho noodle soup was pretty good. I should have gotten the fresh roll with it. But they gave a good amount of bean sprouts to the soup. It was a good meal
Great variety of food to choose from. The shrimp and grits were great. The Vietnamese coffee was decent, but came out of a jug rather than made fresh.
There are so many great choices for food. Today I had jerk chicken, my aunt had a brisket sandwich, and my daughter had macaroni and cheese with a smoothie. Rave reviews for all of it. Check this place out!
Neat place tucked into and unassuming building. Plenty of eateries - both that we sampled / purchased from were delicious. Pop-up King Cake stand allowed us to enjoy King Cakes from both Nonna Randuzzos AND Sucre without having to leave the Midtown area - or wait in lines - on the Saturday morning before Fat Tuesday! Sweet!
Went to the opening night last week and Locals Saturday Brunch. WOWZA! The food and drink are excellent and affordably priced. The ambiance is active and exciting, the mixed drinks are delicious. So excited for all my lunches and dinners ahead at Pytian Market!
Good foods. Restroom needs attention.
Great selection of foods and open seating area. La Cocinita was awesome!
They got variety of food choices, its neat, good ambience and crowd. We had so much fun eating and sharing various dishes at the same time, drinking cool cocktails, in clean and safe enviroment..
Definitely recommend the wood fired pizza- fresh made and delicious!
Loved it. I ate at Fete Au Fete for dinner one night and breakfast the following morning. Quality food both times and fairly priced for the portions. The whole market has an awesome vibe and I hope it is successful.
This place is amazing. It has so many different options for food there is definitely something for everybody. 14 parishes has fantastic Jamaican food, I highly recommend it.
My first experience was very short but my issue was the sinks in the men's bathroom, they take a lil while to work. But my Second experience was amazing, the staff is really friendly and the food was phenomenal. I'mma come here again when I have the chance.
Very friendly stuff and delicious food. I can definitely highly recommend this place for breakfast (haven’t been there for lunch/dinner) since they have a good selection and it’s not too expensive either.
Great selection of vastly ecclectic little restaurants. Highly recommend at any time of the day for a quick bite to eat or a couple of drinks. Nice, chilled atmosphere & friendly, helpful staff.
poke was so good a little expensive though
Ate at TJ sandwiches. Had the crayfish bread, gumbo, and shrimp po boy. Very good will go back and try some other foods there they all looked great
I stopped in here for a snack and went to Cocinita for a quesadilla. I walked up to the register and Carmen, the girl working behind the counter, looked at me and walked away without saying anything. After a couple minutes she came back and rudely asked what I wanted. When I came to pick up my order, I asked for salsa and was very firmly informed that it didn't come with any. She was unnecessarily rude and it makes me not want to go back or recommend the spot to friends. I give Cocinita two stars for the service, my quesadilla was tasty, and the rest of the market 5 stars. The bartenders were super friendly and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable
Delicious fresh fried chicken from Willie Mae's with a side of mc and cheese and peas, with a sweet roll. Chicken is hot and spicy but entirely moist. Entirely worth the price and available to take with you.
I really enjoy the food hall experience here and I know it's still in the process of growing. I just wish they chose to redo the floors, they don't come off as retro damage but old ugly 70's tile. Like if you dropped an object on the floor, you should consider it a loss. Other than that, the people are nice and friendly and I can't wait to see what comes next from Pythian.
I live in a nearby building so naturally Edison's is my first stop almost every morning before work. A coffee shop serving all your basics while also offering delicious (and beautiful) artisanal drinks. Dee, the owner, is such a sweet soul! She's very easy going and her coffee shop definitely radiates the same vibes.
Great food choices. Awesome venue and lively atmosphere.
Really wonderful space to get lunch or dinner when you are downtown. Many different options and something for everyone. It's not hard to find a table even at lunchtime on a Friday.
Awesome place with great food!
this place is great but it's very expensive. Lots of choices I think there are 11 or 12 different restaurant Outlets here including barbecue Mexican Vietnamese good old New Orleans Food and even something I don't know where it's from like Honduras or something?
Its ok.
The first time I visited I had a lovely shrimp and mustard po-boy, the second time not so, granted it was a Sunday so next to nothing was open in the Pythian Market, so really disappointed 😢 …
Great place, to get good food for several people, especially if some are undecided. They have food category for almost anybody. The only downside, is the location in my opinion
Pythian Market has it going on! Very neat concept - for an indecisive person like myself! This food hall has a variety of food stalls and it’s soooo perfect for me! I loved that I was able to enjoy Vietnamese, Japanese, and Latin food all in one sitting. (Don’t judge me 😋)
My husband and I were in the mood for different food items.
We settled for Eat Well’s brisket phoritto and stuffed chicken wings. Hubby couldn’t stop raving over the phoritto - it’s traditional pho inside of a torilla wrap! It was definitely legit! While I was loving the idea of an eggrolls stuffing inside of boneless chicken wing! What the! Amazing!
We also tried some beef tacos from La Cocinita. Very flavorful meat and the sauce was so good, I need more.
Kai’s poke bowl was also great! The tuna was really fresh and I loveee edamame in my poke bowls!
All in all, we would definitely be coming back for more and to try other vendors.
The environment is great, it felt like a New York style market. All different types of food you can think of free Wi-Fi and overall great experience.
Awesome concept. Many areas are pricey but I enjoy having options. My favs are Central City BBQ, Cru and the Jamaican restaurant. Also love the Watermelon Paloma.
There are a lot of options. Pizza, Latin, Jamaican, Poke, Soul...little to no waiting. Typical quick service restaurant prices. There's even a bar
This is for Eat Well at Pythian Market. Got beef pho, brisket phoritto, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Did not disappoint! Broth is hearty and hot. The fatty brisket in the phoritto along with hoisin and sriracha is bomb diggity, and Vietnamese iced coffee is strong AF, so tasty and milk balanced it out well. I like how they use a simple POS interface and the tables/chair and plant decor is a nice touch. Quick no-frills pho place we stumbled upon near our hotel in NOLA. Pythian Market is a lovely little food court place with siverse food options, recommend for people who want to eat diff things together.
Love the atmosphere; food court, but very modern with all local vendors. Went to 1908 for a cocktail and it was delicious, and received friendly service from the bartenders.
Nice selection of food options. Plenty of vegetarian options and one place that had coffee. Not very busy when we were there. I'd like to see them succeed.
Wonderful for date night alot of different vendors awesome bar.
Food court downtown Nola, cool atmosphere, great space!
Great selection of the culinary wonders of New Orleans!
We ate here during a visit from Atlanta. It reminds me a bit of Ponce City Market food hall. We have a child who is a very picky eater and were thrilled to find Meribo pizza along with other options for the rest of the family. Special shoutout to Glen at Meribo for being so kind to our son.
The Jamaican place in Pythian Market is undoubtedly the best Jamaican food I’ve tasted. Wow! Their grilled chicken is amazing! 10 stars!
Several food counters there but need a few more options. Wanted to try chicken and waffles but it was closed. Will go back again once more , nice addition by the superdome area
Bright cheery and with a wide selection of food and beverages this spot was great for our large group. Seating accommodated us all together and allowed group discussion.
Central City BBQ was what I selected from the food court style market. I would give Central City 4 stars, but the market itself isn't all that great. Crowded seating, loud, difficult to have a conversation with the people around you.
Delicious spot to check out a wide variety of delicious eats. Feel like spring rolls and jerked shrimp, with pizza and grilled cheese? This amazing market has you covered.
Wow! The selection of vendors here makes it difficult to choose what to eat! There seems to be vegetarian choices at each vendor & the atmosphere is comfortable, modern yet, cozy. I will be back!
food courts are all the rage... expect to spend at least 12 bucks... great selection. yummy. nice happy hour at the bar as well on frozen drinks
There was a great little jazz band playing while I was there. It added even more to the great atmosphere. I had a BBQ chicken po boy that was fantastic.
Great food, wide range of events, a great spot before the game, or to watch. Excellent variety for every taste and a convenient spot for lunch. Highest recommendation.
Every culinary taste in one location. A must for finicky, pickers eaters in a group. BBQ, Poke Bowls, Tacos, Cajun, Vietnamese, Jamaican, Vegan and most of all, a bar!
This spot only gets better as a meeting spot. Visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Live jazz was a pleasant experience along with good food and drink
Loved the vibe of this place and would highly recommend getting food from 14 Parishes while you're there. They have good happy hour specials and you can't beat the variety of food/drink choices in the market.
great variety of food to choose from with several merchants. cool bar, cool atmosphere. Highly recommend, you can find something for anyone there.
We had food from La Cocinita and Frencheeze. Everything was delicious...even to my picky son. Our favorite was probably the empanadas from La Cocinita....yum!
Huge variety of dining options - everything from Vietnamese, barbecue, comfort food, grilled cheeses, seafood, Jamaican cuisine, and poke. Plus a bar! There's something for everyone.
Some of the best tacos I've ever encountered. You can tell it's all fresh and house made. La Cocinita is highly recommended!
Cru is only 10 days old and the food and presentation is fabulous. This is a group of newbies that have struck a strong cord. We had oysters and crab cakes. Both of those were wonderful and beautifulyl presented. There is only one word, GO. Cru was exceptional.
Nice cool market with a bar and amazing food! There was live music inside while we ate. Best way to get a bite and beat the heat.
The food selection is great, I have never had a bad meal here. Happy hour is a good time to visit
When you need an AMAZING biscuit with your eggs!!
Good variety, the Indian cuisine Lufu was excellent..
Besides great variety of food options (I had curry chicken at 14Parishes), the place has a nice vibe!
Good variety of affordable food from some of the best newer establishments. Great way to try things or for a group with different preferences.
Great little spot to hang out and a few cold refreshments or coffee and several different wonderful eateries to choose from.
Solid food options, but kind of small. The Jamaican restaurant was my favorite.
Great casual spot with wide variety of food choices. Enjoyed the falafel but there were several other items nearby vendors were selling that looked great, too.
Good options in the food court.
Atmosphere is awesome specially the band. The poke bowl I had is definetly fulfilling. And the place is very spacious.
Great options for lunch or dinner. They were making really smart really hard decisions early in Covid. Good to see their hard work coming to roost.
Best place for grilled cheese ever. Eat your grilled cheese as a boozy brunch at the beautiful full bar in there while listening to live jazz.
Diverse array of dishes. Great atmosphere. My favorite was the Jamican restaurant. They even had Hibiscus tea there😍 …
Pythian is a classy food court in and older building close to New Orleans City Hall. There's a wide variety of options: everything from areas to gumbo ya-ya to king cake. Clean and friendly.
Great collection of local restaurants
Food is amazing, local resturants & food truck vendors from around the city all in one location, plus a bar if you don't want to eat.
Great food. Service when crowded was a little slow. But the food and friendlynes of staff over shadow this. Will return. Best sweat tea in the neighborhood.
Several restaurants and a bar in one location! Awesome service
Kinda walked into this place on the way to Superdome....but glad we did for an AREPA pit stop!!!! This is a food market for everyone's tastebuds. Would definitely recommend this.
Great diversity of restaurants under one roof. Kais was exceptional for our business meeting.
I tell my friends to come here all the time!!! Everything on the menu slaps😎 …
Great set-up that reminds me of food halls in Norway. Currently has about 10 vendors to choose from. Park in the deck above the market for convenience.
I liked it, multiple little food stands inside with plenty of choices of good food.
Grab a cocktail and food from so many options. We sat at the cocktail bar and had brick oven pizza. If we were in N.O. longer we would have probably tried many more food options.
This place was filled with fresh food smells, smiling faces, and a variety of cuisines. There was even a massage therapist to loosen you up before returning to work.
Cool concept in the heart of the financial district of New Orleans. All sorts of different cuisines and local people coming together is always a win-win situation. Check it out.
The Jamaican food is delicious.
Good pie. Great atmosphere. Lots of variety on foods to choose from.
Ate at the vietnamese place and food was good, also at the Mediterranean place which had compostable plates and utensils. Overall cool place to grab lunch.
There are a number of options of small restaurants to choose from, but each restaurant was very limited in their offerings. Consequently I did not feel like I had a lot of choices. I probably wouldn't eat there again.
Like an upscale food court where everyone can get what they want...with a bar!
Loved it - all the different places to eat and enjoy yourself after along day. Wish it stayed open longer ay nite.
Really cool spot and great food, had poke bowl and pizza. Very tasty and fresh.
What a great place for the whole family to get a bite to eat. The selection of food was perfect and the people there were super nice.
Cool place for lots of different places to eat. Very communal and community minded. Great for hipsters.
The sliders are great. The place has a variety of rerestaurants. It also has both alcohol and coffee bars.
Many different options available from several small kitchens.
Warm and friendly environment.
No traditional New Orleans food (except king cake) but nice international selection of flavors.
It's a different kind of place. Multiple food venders, all are good. Nice people. Great place
Good selection of food - tried both Eat Well Vietnamese and Kias, and both had excellent food.
I tried Thai food, chicken pho it was not that much of a flavor.. but the place was super nice with ability to chat with ur friends
Great selection. Everything we have had here has been delicious!
Good selection and variety for when you are not sure what you want to eat.
Great selection of different varieties of food! Coffee, pizza, poke, roasted chicken, Mexican, pho, Nola specialties, smoothies, Jamaican, and oysters and lopster
Great set of restaurants. The only issue is that only one place serves alcoholic drinks so that can take some time.
Good food. And drink. Good vibe. 👌🏾 …
Multiple options in one location. A little something for everyone to enjoy.
Perfect place for group meals, so many great options, good happy hour deals on food and drinks
Great variety of delicious food with a nice event space up stairs.

First pizza in New Orleans that isn't drowning in grease
Fantastic service and atmosphere! Brunch bottomless mimosas and the food were also amazing!!
There are many great food options. And don't miss happy hour at the bar.
The restuarant I went to "Eat Well" I believe it was called was good. Along with that there was more restaurants to try.
Some booths had sibpar service and web page not accurate with some happy hour and other prices but pizza was good and a historic location
Very pretty and well kept. Thanks custodial staff. Kai poke bowl was good. Expect downtown prices.
Great atmosphere. Good selection. Didn't require me to wear a mask.
Great place for food options and every vendor was super nice!
We spent an evening at the market with club chefs, the food was amazing, drinks are on point. I would come back anytime.
Great options. Wasn’t a fan of everything but the bar was great and the Jamaican food was on point!
Love it, one of the best Au Latte's I have ever had. Amazing sliders.
