Good, but not great. Portions are generous. There is a restaurant side and a bar side in the large space. You place your order at the front and they bring it to your table. We asked that they time the entrees (combo fish & shrimp plate) to come out after the appetizer (crabmeat snd eggplant stack) but it all came out at once anyway. The brownie a la mode was our shared dessert.

PLEASE COME HERE I'm not kidding you, when I say this is the best burger I've ever had in my life, it IS. And please PLEASE don't get me started on these amazing garlic fries. The star of the show has to be these mozzarella sticks. They are so amazing. I think I died and found heaven

Great place for a family gathering. Was on vacation and heard about it. Great food and one of the friendliest crew you will ever meet. Will be back again on my next trip to New Orleans!!

Delicious foods (shrimp Po boys, calamari, Gumbo) and courteous service. A winning combination! Only complaint was that they could have done a better job of deveining the shrimp before covering up with the delicious batter!

Treated myself to late birthday party & I'm really wanted some shrimp & catfish. I'm so glad I did. I've taken a picture of my meal (it's the thick catfish plate) he got the thin catfish plate. Both came with hush puppies, toasted Poboy bread, Cole slaw, catfish (thin or thick), shrimp. I love it! The guy that took our order was really nice & patient. Our waitress was really helpful & attentive. The environment was really nice-I really enjoyed it. Thanks New Orleans Hamburger And Seafood for a great experience & meal!

We have passed this restaurant many times while vacationing in New Orleans and finally stopped in. Should have done it a long time ago. The serving sizes were huge, especially for the prices that they charged. Food was great. Service was amazing.

I love this place. The food is great,the help is so nice.The place is clean, owner super nice very approachable. I also go to the coffee shop attached. I've only had fancy coffee and delicious desserts there. I am not sure what else they serve. I also love that both places are full of windows, so very light and cheery. Me and my husband was there on Wednesday the 7th of this month. The service was wonderful from the cashier to the cook who also came out to check on our meal and us everyone was so nice and accommodating our glasses stayed full what ever we asked for we got these people really care about the costumes I have never been around such a friendly group of people. I recommend this place to anyone and I will be back.

Excellent service, our bartender paid extra attention to details. Food was excellent, I got the poboy with fried shrimp and roast beef debris, best of both worlds. Charbroiled oysters were buttery & cheesy.

The meal was nice. I had the half thick fried catfish and shrimp platter with crab cakes. I personally wish the crab cakes weren't fried. The fries were a little too greasy. I tasted more grease than the garlic herb sauce. It was all very fresh and it came out quickly.

Our food so good! We had the any two with catfish and shrimp and double French Fries. Mind you it was $15.99 our plates were filled with catfish and shrimp. The put a garlic, butter parmesan cheese Sauce on the fries. It was delicious 🤤..the entire situation was amazing we hopped on the St. Charles StreetCar and just road until we found a great place to eat! If you’re in NAWLINS check this place out!!

Nice job of having two large dining areas: one with TVs, the other not. Service was very good, though there were some problems with our orders: cold dip with the chips & incorrect drink orders. The food was just okay. My son and I both had burgers, and there was just not much flavor. Disappointing when a restaurant has New Orleans in its name.

This New Orleans heart was quite good for a reasonably priced tasty meal. The service was prompt and courteous and made you feel very much at home. Of the few times we ate here the seafood Poboy was one of my favorites. The beignet shop next-door was out of this world. Save room to enjoy these delicate pastries along with a coffee. They were phenomenal.

Visited while on a trip with family. We came right before the rush. You can order at the counter and then be seated or order at your table (takes longer). Lettie was a good server but she was also the bartender, which meant slower service. She is a real sweetheart and didn't mind explaining the menu. The boudain balls were tasty and got eaten quickly. The charbroiled oysters were a hit at my table. I like that the coffee shop is right nextdoor so you can get a taste of NOLA all at once.

My first visit I ordered the chicken and waffle. It was very good 😋 I scanned over the menu as I waited for my order & I like their menu because they offer many items to pick & choose from. My sister ordered the American hamburger & she was very pleased with it. The French fries are Awesome as well. Definitely going back very soon. The atmosphere there was pleasant, it was not crowded & it's very spacious 😀 I luv that 👍👌. Go check them out people.

We jumped off the streetcar and stopped in here for lunch. It was very quiet for noon on a Friday. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos which came with garlic fries. My wife ordered the Sizzling Shrimp Remoulade salad. Both were very tasty but my wife thought the salad would be better with a little more remoulade and a little less balsamic vinaigrette. But overall, it was all good and was a nice linch.

Legit best Shrimp Poboy we have had. Bread was perfection and the shrimp was over flowing and perfectly prepared. Shrimpzilla is incredible as well. Cold beer on tap was great. Can't wait to have another one.

I loved the thin sliced catfish. It was so delish. I had the charbroiled oysters also but it wasn’t better than Dragos, good but in my opinion not better than Dragos. The thin sliced catfish was the star, it was seasoned the best and had a nice crunch. Really good! 4/5 stars only because my food wasn’t hot but that catfish was perfectly seasoned.

The food was surprisingly delicious. My friends and I went here on a whim when the restaurant we were trying to go to had a long wait. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon that we ventured out in so we were not going home without food. It was about 8 of us but they were able to accommodate us immediately. They also had happy hour which was awesome. I had the thin crispy catfish which was really good. The fries that they came with were also really good. They were crispy as well and in this butter garlic sauce. My friends loved the charbroiled oysters. I can't remember what everyone had but everyone enjoyed their food.

Great meal! I had the grilled fish with rice pilaf and vegetables . MY mom had gumbo and garlic bread and my friend had the fried fish that had been advertised. We all were quite pleased with our meal. If you haven't already tried it , put it on your list. MsJo on the go!

Good seafood platter with hush puppies and crab cakes. No fried oysters due to shortages, but they made up for it with extra shrimp. The price was higher than what was listed on the online menu and the person who took my phone order didn't inform me of the higher price. They food is delicious and I will keep coming back.

I got a grilled chicken salad with a cup of gumbo,which was good. My husband had a shrimp zilla (which had shrimp and roast beef on French bread). Hubby said it was OK. Son had a hamburger and fries (kids menu) he devoured it. New Orleans Hamburger and seafood is food if you're hungry and have time to sit and eat or take out. Better than fast food. 👍🏽

Amazing food! We had fried oysters and catfish. So good. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because we had to wait a half hour to have our orders taken after being seated because they're short staffed. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and moving quickly.

The place was clean and the service was courteous and efficient. The seafood wasn't as fresh as i was hoping, particularly the shrimp. It had more of an "out of the freezer" than "fresh off the boat" vibe. But the oysters were good and reasonable. Catfish being thin sliced wasn't all that special. The place is clean and timely. Service is great. The food is basic, but its affordable. The burgers i saw looked good, but BIG! Fries with butter garlic sauce rock as well

Wow! Great sandwiches! Turkey sandwich and avocado was lovely as was tilapia. Everyone loved their food. Buy the gift cards if you will return because it is a great deal. The atmosphere is relaxing and picturesque. There are noy a lot of great places to eat with such a view of St. Charles. You feel like you are on a movie set. We ate in the afternoon and not many people were there but our waitresses (that is right, my friend! more than one!) were kind and efficient. My favorite part of the scenery was the huge local map on the wall! It was a trip down memory lane! It includes the entire metropolitan area.... even Waggaman and Bridge city! There is no Huey P. Lpng bridge though. Paint that line across the MS river, sir! :-> and last.... the free ice cream. Best place pn St. Charles!

Love this place. I tried the Thin fried Catfish with Shrimp and Garlic Fries which was one of the$9.99 specials. Also added their Fabulous Onion Rings. Everything was GREAT as usual. Our waitress was Michelle, she was very polite, she remembered my Mom from being a frequent customer before the Pandemic. Our food was fresh and hot. The food was delicious. The hardest part was ordering since we had to wait till we got to the register area to see the menu. There were a number of food items which were not available, so it took extra time to order. Also there was a new employee training at the register, with an experienced employee. She was doing a good job but because of the noise around the register area with many people behind us. It was frustrating for us (5 in our group) and the employee to communicate the order. In the end the order was correct, the food was good and the table service was good. I'll try coming back again sometime in the future to try another menu item.

The food and service here is good, but they need to take it easy on whatever they are using to deoderize the bathroom because the smell permeated throughout the whole restaurant and is not appetite inducing. Other than the smell, everything else was perfect. UPDATE: (4-30-22) I just made my first visit to the new orleans hamburger saint charles location since their recent renovations and i must say, there have been huge improvements in the air quality and cleanliness of the establishment. I loved the open doors of the building along st. charles and the fresh air that this brings into the dining area. Service was great today and I look forward to my next visit with the rest of the family.

I ordered the charbroiled oysters, the spicy shrimp poboy, and bread pudding for dessert. Everything tasted great, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. They were out of the Barq's red cream soda which is one of the reasons I like to eat here, so that was disappointing. Otherwise, I enjoyed my dinner!

The service was great especially the young man at the front desk. The waitress was attentive and very pleasant. I ordered their new dish, shrimp and grits. They really missed the mark on this one. It was so bland, almost tasteless. I even asked the waitress for some shredded cheese to add to the dish. It was still bland. They really need to get a better recipe for the sauce.

I was invited 2A birthday party there. Wrong time o f the year. It was doing graduation time. Extremely crowded. On the other hand, the food was delicious. The service was extremely wonderful. I ordered the fish and shrimp salad. The staff was accommodating, they took pictures of the party participants. They even enjoyed cake and ice cream which we brought there. Kudos to the staff.

Has a kinda senior citizen feel to the place which is fine but don't expect pretty food or anything fancy. But was all very tasty. Prices were reasonable and love the open wall/windows to the street. The setup is weird as you pay and tip first. But the lady at the counter was helpful and really sweet. So just hope for good service or skip the credit card tip if you have some cash you can leave at the table! Also you get a free turn at the old school soft serve machine. Just head over and make yourself a cone. Which was super cute and complimentary! But don't fill up there just yet. Be sure to head to the little coffee shop attached. Fantastic fresh when you order beignets! Delicious!!!

This place was okay! There are many other places in the city that has much better food. My husband ordered the poboy and took 3 bites and put it down. Very unusual for him. I had the shrimp tacos which were decent. The server was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere and restaurant clean. Overall, if I never went again, I don’t feel if I would have missed anything.

Honestly, this was the best place and it was basically empty. The tourist traps are raking in the money while this place has better food and service. We had the crawfish queso and friend shrimp and got more than a bit tipsy. Really enjoyed our time there. The staff was very helpful

EDIT: After my first visit and review I was contacted by a very nice young lady who assured me that my experience was not normal. I decided to give it a second try. The service was much better than before.food was good. 1000 times better than before. The food was mediocre. The service was terrible. We were standing at the front door for about 10 minutes before someone finally told us we can seat ourselves. They walked past us countless times like we were invisible just to say "oh you can seat yourself". Then took forever just to get our drink order after that.

I had a very bad experience overall. My family all had their food for 20 minutes before I got my alfredo pasta. Nice staff, good food but it was cold when my family got it. Wings were good but spicy, if you have a weak stomach I would not recommend. The free ice cream was great! And last while I cant talk for the women's bathroom the men's was disgusting, not clean, and the door is wedged open and impossible to close. Still though it was good food.

Very good meal! Good variety of options. Catfish, fried shrimp, gator bites were all very good. Prices pretty reasonable especially compared with similar meal in the French Quarter. My family of 4 ate for about $60 which included drinks. Service was great and staff friendly. I would definitely eat here again.

EXCELLENT place to eat. Food was DELISHOUS. I picked up food and you must show covid record card or where you have tested. I will definitely go back and try something different. Front order guy was friendly and so was our server. They had Great portions. I Had the thin sliced catfish shrimp potatoes which were seasoned with garlic butter and bread. All was good. (just saw a review on ice cream!!!). I missed that!. Will def come back

Although you are able to make reservations, my family and I just walked in the restaurant and were seated, with order placed, in about 10 minutes. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! I ordered a cheeseburger, my Aunt Shirley got a Caesar salad, and my Aunt Susie got a chicken burger. Everyone loved their food, especially the garlic fries. They are to die for! After your meal, you can order a dessert, but everyone can get a free ice cream cone. The atmosphere is fun and interesting. My Aunt Susie, who's from out of town, went back the very next day. That should speak for itself.

But we received our order in a timely manner, maybe 15 minutes. Very large restaurant, can be pretty loud due to all the wood in the building but the food was very good, especially the fries. Spacious, clean and inviting. The wait staff was wonderful. The food was just OK. Typical bar food that's overpriced for the portion size. Very disappointed to see that they use boxed, frozen hamburgers; they were very bland. The toppings, however, were fresh and flavorful. Side note: the hush puppies were disgusting. We got 2 orders, both were way over cooked on the outside, raw in the middle and greasy. We sent them back only to have them be replaced by new ones in the same condition.

The food was delicious. My only concern was I ordered the hamburger meal to go for my mother. It was given to me in a bag (no plate). I was shocked to say the least. I questioned my server and she said they started doing this a while back. That burger and fries cost appx $13. I felt like I was at McDonald's. My server did get a plate for me. Make sure the person taking your order reads it back to you. Even if they get your order messed up, they'll do whatever it takes to make it right. That being said, don't take advantage of their hospitality! The place is very nice...we came at night and watched the lit up streetcars pass as we ate....The staff are very friendly but they're busy so don't expect them to cater specifically to YOU. Oh and order the fries..you won't regret it! Our burgers were huge and delicious! Excellent value for such an affordable price!

This location is my favorite though with a pretty view of St. Charles Ave. They have an old style Coffee house that is in a separated area adjacent to the restaurant. You can walk to it from inside or outside. There is also a 2nd floor to host parties. I recommend this location to anyone seeking a quality meal. Free icecream at the end!

My fiancé and I went for the first time yesterday. As I was approaching the restaurant I didn't expect it to be a drive thru and full on restaurant with a bar area.The setup is different for this Mississippi girl but I liked it. You order your food first and seat yourself and they bring your food to you. They give you a number to put on the table so the wait staff can serve you when your food is ready. The cashier and waiter was super sweet. I had the fried green tomatoes which were awesome, they were tangy and spicy. However, they were cut thin. I also had the red beans and rice which was awesome. My fiancé had the bayou pasta which he and I both loved. My only complaint was the toasted bread they served us was stale. They have complimentary ice cream. Next time we're in New Orleans we will definitely stop by .

Basic New Orleans comfort food, served in a huge, family-friendly place. It's popular with people eating after church, and good for large groups. The food is ok, not great, and not bad. Since you order with the cashier and pour your own drinks, there isn't much "service" but you should tip anyway. They have burgers, fried seafood, and poboys and maybe a token salad or two. Not a place for healthy food.

Roadtripping this past March & stumbled upon this place while waiting for our room to open down the street at the Hampton (great hotel btw). I'm not much of a seafood person so I ordered the chicken alfredo. I was full after about finishing 1/4 of my plate but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it, I darn near licked the plate. Not the best food in the city, but still a nice place. I like that you order at the counter, but still get table service during your meal. It speeds things up if you're on your lunch break or otherwise in a hurry. The big parking lot also helps in this department. There's a giant, wall-sized map of Greater New Orleans in the dining room, which my out-of-town family and friends like to look at while we're eating. There's also an attached beignet and coffee shop. Again, not quite as good as other places in New Orleans (like Cafe Du Monde), but definitely passable and MUCH less crowded. Service can be tad slow here, depending on when you come in - which is why I deducted a star.

Interestingly only 2 of the 9 locations of the "New Orleans" Hamburger & Seafood Co are actually in New Orleans! We go to the one in Uptown when we want a place that can accommodate a wide variety of tastes. It is a large menu, decent quality, nice sized portions, solid service and a great view of the St Charles streetcar. Decent bar and an great attached coffee shop/bakery. Closest place to get real beignets if you live Uptown.

Oh, this place hit the spot! Are you looking for crispy deep fried tourist food at a reasonable price? Have a hankering for an obscenely sized hurricane and only a few bucks? This is the place. First, it's one of the only places in NOLA with boudin balls. As a Houstonian, I'm used to ordering these at any cajun restaurant and found it frustrating to search NOLA for them. Found 'em! Crawfish queso...yes, please! Queso is always great - add some tail meat to it, and life is wonderful. Legitimately wonderful. Their alligator bites are pretty tasty too. Not traditionally prepared as a tail meat nugget, but more of a bread ball stuffed with alligator. The service here was stellar. I distinctly recall, a month later, our server coming to the table every 10 minutes or so. You may think that's a bit excessive, but when you're hungover and sucking down Coca Cola like the factory just burned down, an attentive server is your best friend. Although, the best cure for a hangover is the breeze coming in off the Mississippi. If you get here early enough, you can get a seat by the nearly always open patio doors!
