Reviews of Meril
Meagan LeDoux
Consistently great! Meril is such a classy and current spot that is great for occasion meals. This place always has great service and handle large parties very well. I’ve visited with a few as 2 people and as many as 17.
The menu offers modern dishes of small plates, main plates and sides. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed the vegetable flatbread and the vegetable sides.
If it’s your birthday or celebrating something special, the cotton candy is such a treat!

The food here is great. Our party enjoyed the food and environment. The service is equally as good. We were treated well the moment we entered the place. Nice layout with the main eating area separate from the bar area but in the same open space. The cotton candy with sparkler for birthdays is very cool.

Wonderful lunch place near The New Orleans convention center. We had a wonderful server called my very delicious salads, and an amazing bananas Foster dessert. The ambience is wonderful and if you get there before 11:30 AM you have the entire restaurant yourself. It's within easy walking distance of the convention center and there and extremely high quality food for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

It's Emeril so the food and drinks were good. I ordered the yellow fin tuna app. I didn't love the seafood dip and fried crackers. My expectations was a cheesy dip. The steak was tender. Shots were smooth. The fried turkey neck app was flavorful and would have it again.
Unfortunately, the cotton candy was not sweet. Great presentation though. The vibe was cool. Good music. Great night.

This place was top notch from top to bottom. It started off with some solid old fashions made by the bartenders. Then they made some suggestions for appetizers, I got corn bread and turkey necks. For my main course I got ribs and brussels sprouts all were excellent! This place had a clean modern atmosphere with attentive staff. I will definitely come back here on my next trip to New Orleans.

Upscale dining in a casual atmosphere. The theme here seems to be small plates to share, but the process seemed disjointed and unsatisfying. Food was very good, but If I came here again I would order differently. Our server could have provided better advice. They do have excellent Happy Hour deals from 5-6 weekdays.
Strangely, they asked us to change tables before dessert in order to accommodate a larger group.

Came here for a dinner and had a good experience. The service was good, but could have been better. We didn't get our drinks until after we received our starters, and only a few minutes before the entrees. The food itself was good, however it was not worth the price. You won't find many cajun or New Orleans type meals here, but what is offered is still good. The only downside was the value of what we paid for, and you can probably do better in NOLA.

Overall great experience. Spaghetti Nero smells like the sea that's why I didn't like it that much but if you like crab squid pasta probably you'll like it. Gnudi and the beet salad are beyond amazing. They bring their handmade, cotton candy for everyone which is nice.

We loved our waiter Matt, he was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is fun and not too noisy but with good music in the background. Our food was really good, especially the cornbread, wings, and brussel sprouts!
Karla Santiago
Very good happy hour with great drinks and delicious meatballs. My spouse loved their old fashioned drink and their flat bread. Sadly, I do not recommend the Gumbo. Gumbo was spicy 🌶, thick and yet not flavorful. It tasted like old reheated beans. Thanks for the great service Kiwana!!! …

This is a fantastic place! Go for lunch just as we did and enjoy. Most amazing thing was the Korean wings! The greek salad was beyond amazing! The flatbread was excellent as well. Had some great drinks as well! Staff was nice and friendly and I will say this a great place to try. One negative thing is the restaurant is loud. Lots of hard surfaces makes it hard to carry on a conversation.

It was ok. Because of the Holiday, we couldn't get a reservation at Emeril's so took this place thinking it would be of similar quality and service. It wasn't but it was still OK. Out waiter was good but seemed harried. His assistant seemed new and needed better training. I ordered a cocktail which they make with honey and asked for it without the honey, I asked the assistant when he brought it to confirm that it was made without honey, he looked at me questioningly, said he didn't know and took it back to check. The food was good - not great. The korean wings were good but the entree was brought before they were finished. The steaks were very good, I was allowed to substitute the fries for the brussel sprouts which I appreciated. The dessert of the day which I ordered consisted of stale cake and a rock hard frozen banana which was inedible. The waiter took it off the tab which I appreciated. Overall, and OK experience but would probably not return nor recommend.

I think this is my new favorite spot in NOLA. Loved it all - the daiquiri was so well made, the Cajun riblits actually had me licking my fingers, the pineapple bacon cornbread was perfectly sweet and savory, the half chicken was in such a hearty delicious sauce, and the smashed bacon potatoes were the perfect side. The key like creme brûlée merged the best of key like and creme brûlée. I wanted more even before I was done! Many thanks to Z the waitress for the best recommendations!

Well, I had to try it! After all who doesn’t have some memory of Emeril from the Food Channel. A legacy of nostalgia and quirks and comedy! I definitely was disappointed in the meal and the service (which is not often the case). We usually get so lucky and get great service; even in the face of poor cuisine. The thing is, it’s not difficult to make good food! If you pay your employees well, if you work hard to manage and set an example, boom; good food…
Service-So we booked a 7:45 pm seat for 4, and to our surprise they closed at 8, only fifteen minutes later. We sort of wondered why they allowed reservations so close to close. Our server made us very much aware of that fact and a closing kitchen, despite there being a good deal of tables remaining without food. We’ve often found many quality food stops to allow late reservations and they seat an entire floor of new patrons before close and then serve the house and allow no further seats. We had to order appetizers and wine and everything at once and quickly, and we were definitely rushed, server, busser, those clearing tables etc. It was our final evening in New Orleans and it was Mardi Gras; so there was no place else remotely available with an extra table, the city was packed!
Food-I'm not sure the food was worthy of the New Orleans Southern name and culture. Food came fast and often 2 dimensional. For example the brussel sprouts were soggy and unsalted and absolutely flavorless. The French fries or the hand cut fries were also soggy and over saturated in oil. The deviled gags were tart and plain and thin batter if you will, needing texture and dimension; a word I use a lot! The pineapple upside down cornbread was ordered twice between our two parties and one was barren of its sauce and dressings and the other ample. Elite corn was good, because it was rich and savory. The cornbread itself was okay. The Korean wings were a good texture albeit drowned in sauce. It was just dressed up casual food that isn’t reflective in quality for the price and rushed and under managed. I am not hard to impress! Just simple and good food, it can be achieved! I often find the culprit of poor dining experience is as usual the sharp blade or perhaps dull, of quantity over quality.
I’ve eaten and multiple of Gordon Ramsays restaurants, to give nod to another celebrity chef experience, even with his rigorous standards on service the food was only “not bad”, but plenty to celebrate. At this restaurant I’d find it hard to believe it can be redeemed.

I always enjoy dining at Meril. My favorite thing to do is order appetizers/flatbreads, then go straight to dessert. I just wish they list when dishes are garnished with cilantro (because cilantro sucks). The KFC wings are great but they were garnished with cilantro so having to scrape off leaves before eating took away from the experience.
Oh and the skillet cookie was so much better with vanilla ice cream on top instead of salted caramel! Will definitely ask to substitute next time if possible.
Anyway, I recemmend this spot for a chill friends / colleagues get together or celebration.
Emma Marriner
Sat at the Chefs table highly recommend so you can watch everything being cooked. Everything was delicious. I recommend getting the pork & crawfish wontons.
mazzsterable
Very average meal. The fried chicken salad had one tomato. Definitely can get a better salad at any chain restaurant. Korean BBQ chicken was pretty good. The Flatbread pizzas were pretty basic. Nothing special about them. The fried cheese was a 4/5. The noodles with the crawfish meatballs were rated a 4.2. The kimchi short rib was a 4/5, I didn't have the qtruffle pasta, but it was rated as excellent, the skillet cookie and key lime creme Brule were both great.
Jon Childers
The food is great as usual. I think the bartenders get get a little busy so finding a seat at a table may be a better option for quick in and out. Even though it's a small negative this is one of my go to places.
Elizabeth Mavetz
Great space & wonderful food without the pomp & circumstance of a typical Emeril's restaurant. We loved the deviled eggs & street corn (they even shave it off the Cobb if you want).
Katie R
A perfect place to cap off a long weekend in New Orleans and to switch it up from the cuisine in the French Quarter. Meril is located in the warehouse district and let’s you feel like your dining like a local! The cocktails, wine, apps and entrees were all spot-on delicious. Our only complaint was the music was slightly too loud for my two older parents on a Sunday night. We especially loved the cotton candy birthday surprise for my dad at the end of the meal - “I never thought I’d celebrate my 60th birthday with cotton candy”. Thank you Meril for a great dining experience!
Nicole Cain
The cornbread and gumbo was a hit. Perfect place to come, get a quick bite and move to the next event of the night. Caleb and Myles were wonderful.
Taylor Lee
I was so full that one of the waiters asked me if I needed a wheelchair out!! That’s the kind of customer service you love to hear! Everything was delicious and our waitress was hilarious!
Avery Pieronek
Our family has never had such an incredible dining experience. Our server Cooper was such a delight and handled our rambunctious family with grace and humor. The other servers assisting were also a delight. The food was outstanding. We didn’t come across a dish we didn’t like. And I never knew cotton candy could be improved but they did it. It was incredible. Highly recommend. This splurge was something the whole family will be talking about for quite some time!
Cynthia Specht
Beautiful ambiance, great staff, food is presented beautifully. However… my fish was over cooked, my steak was extremely salty and my coke was stale, I know, I know, it’s Emeril’s, believe me I wanted to absolutely love everything and the apps that we ordered were pretty good but didn’t love the gumbo and over all though it was a beautiful dinner location, Some of off the food was disappointing. Honest opinion.
David D
I ate here with my family. GREAT food. Service was slow but worth the wait. LSU home game so it was loud but expected. We had the privilege of seeing Emeril Lagasse in the kitchen...pretty amazing. Atmosphere was pleasant and pricing for 4 was great for the quality of food. We were in the restaurant on 9/5/2022 from 4:30 till about 6:15. Highly recommend.
Amy Davis
Meril is always such a great experience. It’s upscale but still laid back and has a really fun vibe. The food is always so good and there are different seasonal options each time. The Brussels and fries were delish, we also loved the tuna wraps and crawfish pimento dip. Get the cotton candy sparkler for an exciting instagrammable moment!
Logan Lewis
Stumbled across this place and it was crowded so we were sat on the bar seats facing into the kitchen. It was surprisingly the best seat for us to watch all the plates prepared by the chefs and carried out we’d pick our favorites without even looking at the menu. The food was unbelievably even better tasting than it looked! The ambiance was overall a delight and the food very memorable.
Nicole Tackes
Best part of our trip so far! Our wait staff was absolutely amazing and made our visit a ton of fun. Food was beyond great. Hands down 10+ stars!
John “The Hypoxia Kid” Bezou
In a city of iconic, amazing restaurants, Meril is earning their place in the NOLA constellation. The atmosphere is hip but classy, warm with the NOLA friendliness and southern charm. The food is expertly prepared and delicious. Service is extremely attentive but not fussy. If you are looking for something a little off the beaten path but still in the heart of the Vieux Carre check out Meril. We had the Gnudi, burger, pineapple upside down corn bread and brussels sprouts. Price was incredibly reasonable for what you get.
William Powers
Freaking awesome. Our server was the best! He explained everything perfectly. The food was the best. My Korean Short Ribs were delicious. We went back the next night and I had a pasta dish. Again delicious. My wife had spaghetti and meatballs and it was great. Great food, great staff and wonderful building. If you are in New Orleans you have to got Togo there!
Anthony Pompano
Cool spot, the drink was outstanding and the cast iron cheese was to die for. I will say that the meals didn't really look that great coming out but mine was great.
Aaron Powers
Everything was fine, but nothing was amazing. Our server was great, but the quality of the food was disappointing considering the price point. Cocktails were all quite sweet. Cornbread and gumbo were really good, but other menu items felt similar to chain restaurants, such as the burger and Korean short ribs.
Luna Cox
It was perfectly tasteful, curated, and worthwhile, but the portions were thin and the pallete wasn't robust. Make no mistake, it's worth the price, the service is great, and the quality is undeniable. I have flawed expectations, this is my first restaurant outside the Eastern Timezone, but the "it" factor of what i had left me appreciative, but wanting more. I may have done better with a local draft and a flatbread than ordering both a special cocktail and entree, but either way this is an experience even the most seasoned patron would not yet forget.

We made a reservation a week ahead. It was raining so we were a little bit behind schedule by five minutes. They didn’t hassle us for the delay. We were sat the moment we walked in. Our server was exceptional. The menu and specials were explained.
For appetizers, My choice was the pineapple upside down cornbread. Mike ordered the pocket bread for his appetizer. As most of you know my sweetheart is allergic to corn. I have to say I was glad not to have to share my appetizer. The upside down cornbread is FANTASTIC!! It had a hint of Jalapeño and the sweet glaze. Ohhh! You will love it.
For dinner, I chose the BBQ Shrimp, and Mike chose their Pan Seared Copper River Salmon. Both of these dishes were prepared perfectly. I truly believe that there are no bad dishes here at Meril.
However, after tasting both of the dishes it is my opinion that the prawns was the better choice! I make good choices. My husband might balk a little for me to say that MY dish was better. The dish did come with some country biscuits so I feel like the southern appeal was definitely shown throughout the dish.
Let’s talk about this shrimp! This shrimp was out of this world good!!! It was smoky, sultry, seducing me with every bite. I wanted more before I was even finished with the dish. 🐷 If you are still thinking about those southern buttermilk biscuits I will tell you that I used them to sop up that sauce!
For dessert we chose the key lime tartlet. Now, I am not usually a fan of anything with a meringue top because soooo many do meringue wrong. It is not their fault! Many restaurants must keep their desserts prepared ahead and frozen. While I believe the key lime and graham cracker crust were chilled well, and possibly frozen, this restaurant made sure that it was the correct set temperature and put a fresh torched meringue on top. It was not a miss! The whole dessert was gonbled up quickly. It was such a good ending to a fantastic meal!
By the way, they surprised us with the cotton candy and fireworks at the end of the meal. It was a gratis thing. I tried to take the cotton candy back to the hotel for my Paris but it didn’t make it well. I promised my little food allergy baby we would take her next time, and I bought her some more cotton candy. (Of course)
I would have to say this restaurant is up there with the incredible restaurants I have dined at. Five stars!
Btw this was on my bucket list to visit an Emeril Lagasse restaurant and all I can say is “Bam!”
Thank you for reading. Yes they sat us under the pig picture. Isn’t that ironic?!? Lol.
Michelle Renda
We have had dinner at Meril several times and enjoyed it but this was our first time for Brunch and it was just as good! The service, atmosphere, and food were all outstanding. We will definitely be back soon.
Kesh
The restaurant has a great ambience. The food was amazing from the appetizers to the main meals. We were a large group so we were able to order multiple appetizers to try them all. The servers was also great and very attentive of our needs and questions. I’d highly recommend this restaurant when in town.
Heather Verret
Had the absolute best time, service, food, drinks, everything at Meril on NYE! Our main server was Lauren (or Laura?) & she was fantastic; the other servers were great at keeping our beverages filled & table cleared. Had the Korean short ribs, grilled oysters, crab cake, fresh catch, dessert, & a few glasses of chardonnay. No complaints whatsoever; it was a great time!
Dana
Food was tasty and gluten free pasta is available. Servings were smaller than expected though.
mary vu
Nice atmosphere & good food. Everyone were masked when not at table. Highly recommend the short rib, ribs, duck salad & cocktail.

From the time I walked up and saw the manager, Marcus, cleaning up the street in front of the establishment before opening for dinner service to the time my wife was delivered a sparkler and cotton candy finish... I've got to say this place was fantastic! Kewanna was exceptional and has definitely gained a lifelong customer. The food was excellent and the desert we had, banana cream pudding, was phenomenal. Those lady fingers and caramel were the best touch. Well done Meril. Well done.
Matt Irvin
We were late, so we missed out on our "on time" table, but got a nice place to sit in the lounge. My burger was very good, but still just a burger. My wife had a small pizza, which she thought was great. A cool place for a nice time out.
KiKi Chere
It was an okay experience. Went during happy hour between 5 and 6. The cheese Flatbread pizza was really good. Our waiter kept changing on us. One took our order then disappeared and then another brought our food to us but he was the one who kept checking up on us and refilling our water. Overall it was okay.
Bob C
Very good food, but not overly memorable. Restaurant was extremely noisy and was not a good atmosphere for a romantic dinner. They should eliminate the 4% built in, mandatory "tip" for the chef and kitchen staff. It seems cheap and penny pinching. Just increase the cost of each item by $1.
Lloyd Christmas
The single happy hour they have is totally worth it. I ordered the Korean short ribs, they had a great taste but I spent most of my time pulling meat off the bone. I wish the meat to bone ratio was better.
Dylan Bardell
Really enjoyed the experience of this restaurant. The Ambiance was cultural, and the food was flavorful. Service professional.
Jose Luis Orozco
Wonderful dining experience. Ambiance and attention to detail are evident. The food is amazing and the drinks are to die for!

Get the meatballs absolutely worth it also there's a really cool sparkling cotton candy like dessert it's amazing

Emeril’s is a very welcoming restaurant in Nola. The staff from host to servers were very friendly and helpful. I felt like I was a repeat customer. The restaurant design is very appealing with interesting murals.
I was not so favorable on the food. I tried the Mexican corn but it was not really to my tastes because the corn was drowning in its own sauce. I also had the acclaimed Korean BBQ ribs but also found them to be heavy on the sauce and the meat did not appear to be the highest quality. I did enjoy the “tres leches” cake which is a South American favorite. Perhaps my visit just caught the chef on an off day because it felt like I had just dined at one of those chain restaurants found in any city.
Cindy Keys
It was great service and food. Been going there for years and very consistent. I was very disappointed however that Emeril was there sitting in a vacant area of the restaurant alone and his staff would not le my small group of senior ladies meet him for a group pic. He has done wonderful things for this city and only wanted to share the love with him but he needs to let his guard dogs down and remember his patrons that have supported him for decades come first. Very shocked and appalled at his behavior.
Kathirazhagan Appavoo
We were a group of 9 and each order was different from the other. Service was excellent !!! The food was delicious. And the cocktails were too good. Definitely a must visit place.
Miranda Walker
Went back to Meril because the new Emerils concept is just not it for myself, friends, and family. We used to prefer that to Meril but Meril would be my recommendation now. Great cocktails and many great things on the menu. BBQ shrimp are just right! A little loud if that bothers you, but it doesn’t me.
Brian J
Amazing small plates menu that's perfect for sharing. Awesome atmosphere and amazing staff! If you're at the bar make sure and ask for Damian.
Chad Tran
I came here on a Sunday night and the food was pretty average and was lacking flavor. We sent an order back cause it tasted very off. Overall not impressed with the food but the atmosphere is nice. Not coming back for sure.
Sarah Chappell
Definitely my kind of place. Service was wonderful and the food was really good.
Melissa Riley
My gnudi was great, but the cauliflower and brussel sprouts my friend ordered were average at best. Our server was fantastic, but we were there for a conference, so everyone was expensing their meal, and we didn't find it until after our meal they would not split the check and would only take up to 6 cards (there were 8 if us). It took a half hour to get it sorted. If we were a rare case it would be understandable, but the restaurant was full of conference attendees. If I had to do it again, I would go somewhere else.
Chris Rue
The atmosphere was good. Very well appointed. The waiter made a horrible first impression and essentially caat a shadow on the rest of the experience. The food wasn't anything special. I had the Mahi Mahi. It was dry and had no taste. I was expecting so much more.
Kathy Leary
My son and I dropped in for dinner. The service was on point. The server had great suggestions. The food is fresh, and well presented. This is my new top three restaurants in New Orleans now. The upside down pineapple cornbread was so good. It was more like a dessert. The grilled romaine shrimp salad was amazing. Be sure and try one of the flatbreads. We had the duck with pomegranate and cheese. My entrée was the Gnudi. The server suggested adding crab meat. Wow, it was amazing the squash and mushrooms with ricotta was perfectly cooked. My son had the Rib Eye with peppers. It well presented and cooked as ordered. For dessert we had the Keylime crème brûlée. This is my new favorite dessert.
Debbie King
We all tasted each other's food and everything was incredible! The crispy brussel sprouts were my favorite! Yes you will love brussel sprouts if you taste theirs!
Shirley A. Schwaeble-Ruiz
Very pricey , small portions and selection minimal. Staff need training the NO PROBLEM SAID OVER AND OVER. My pleasure would be much better. High end prices low end wait staff
Hans Addleman
This place was insanely good. Our serving team handled a large party very well. The amazing food was served out of the open kitchen quickly and deliciously. The candied pork ribs and wings app were stand outs!!! Dessert was awesome!
Kelvin Woods
I enjoyed everything about this place, it is suitable for whatever occasion, from hanging out with the guys to popping the big question to you fiancée... the appetizers was amazing and the steak I had was the best steak I have had in years... YOU SHOULD GO EXPERIENCE IT!!!
Kim Brown
I was there on Thursday evening for my company’s staff dinner. The food was phenomenal and the service was stellar!!! When I come back to visit, I will be returning with my husband. Keep doing what you all do!!!!!
Maria Ber
We enjoyed our meal here. We got Korean short rib (pretty good), octopus salad (good), and gnocchi (excellent). Overall, all dishes were well prepared as worth the price. The happy hour prices were great as well so next time we will make sure to come to Meril during happy hour.
KaShawn Pate
Loved, loved loved it! Our waiter was phenomenal. I wish I remembered his name, but he was very knowledgeable about the menu. (We were there on 2/18/2020 right before dinner, what was his name!, Jade was his teammate) Everything was great and the open kitchen concept was awesome. I shall return.
Dre' Tatum
When I first went inside the restaurant had a nice look and feel. The wait staff is well trained and very friendly and helpful. The special drink menu is very nice and works well with the food menu. The meal was excellent. It was the best we had in New Orleans. We will be back!
Sheryl Konopack
Can't say enough about how delicious everything was... Excellent service. LOVED sitting against the kitchen bar so that we could see all the prep. Dessert was awesome, too! Small plates are an excellent way to prevent overeating on a vacation ;) Had the cheese plate, oysters, Brussel Sprout /sweet potato salad, deviled eggs, and lasagna.
Matthew Miller
The food was amazing. The service was sad. We took my mother for hey birthday and had reservations. We had drinks at the bar before for happy hour and the bartenders were too into prepping for after happy hour to deal with people who came early just for fun. The service from our waiter was bad. He was not happy and very short. Another waiter came to help and redeemed it. Most of the others looked to be fantastic as well. Will go back and hopefully have a better time. The food is worth it.
Julian Alexis Bonnet
The atmosphere of this place is amazing. Food was really good too, but just loved that the restaurant felt warm and welcoming.
shriyansh kothari
Even though this place looks fancy the price of dishes and drinks are well within range. The ambiance of the place is also amazing. They had some different vegetarian options in pasta but when I talked to the server he was very gracious and good enough to have the chef made a different vegetarian pasta that wasn't even on the menu. There Vegetarian flatbread was also very delicious. I will highly recommend this place to anyone living or visiting NOLA considering its even close to French Quarters and is perfect place to go out with friends, family, or date.

If I could give this place ten stars, I would! The food was incredible.
Meril is a modern, very open space located in the Warehouse District in New Orleans. There is parking on the street. I went for a late lunch after a swamp tour, and the area is very busy and felt super safe. It was a pretty easy walk over to the French Market for me from here.
I started with the Tequila #40. Great drink, loved the mix of sweet and citrus. It contained Tequila • Triple Sec • House-made Hibiscus Syrup •
Lime Juice • Ginger Ale. That's from the menu. The hibiscus was such a treat. And the drinks have plenty of alcohol, they are not watered down.
I thought my servers' names would be on my receipt, but they are not. I want to say the one waiter was Nathan, but I'm not sure. Wish I knew, because they both did a phenomenal job. The place was relatively empty as it was a weekday afternoon, so it was nice and quiet. I loved the decor. Animals adorn the walls, flying ducks, a plump pig and a huge crab--my favorite. It looks like he's about to pinch you for thinking about eating him, lol. There is a huge bar, beautiful wood, center stage when you enter the restaurant with modern lighting overhead. Then, you step into a huge open dining room. There are curtains that can be pulled to hide the kitchen. While I was there, they were closed, but I saw on the website the kitchen and a few tables exist behind them. I wish they had been open. I love to watch people cook.
My servers checked in on me often. My drink came very fast and the food followed quickly after. I ordered the: Brazilian Style Gulf Shrimp “Creole” GF Rice Grits • Cilantro (copied from the menu again). OMG, so good. The spice was just enough to wake up your taste buds without being so hot one couldn't enjoy the food. Perfect! And the grits were so creamy. Pefect balance there. The shrimp were cooked to perfection. I also ordered a side of: Mexican Style Corn off the Cob GF Chile • Lime • Mayo •Cotija Cheese. Out of this world. The tang of the cheese was cut by the lime and the chile gave a little kick. I could eat my weight in that stuff!
Also loved that the gluten-free items are marked right on the menu. Makes eating safe for me and then, it's easy to make choices. I always plan my restaurants in advance by searching on the web, and the restaurants that do put GF on their menu are the ones I prefer above the ones that don't.
I will definitely be returning to Meril when I visit New Orleans again next February. The space is beautiful, the servers attentive and professional and the food is amazing! Highly recommend.

Great food with excellent variety. Service was great. Ambiance was laid back but still very modern with attentive staff. Went with a large group and entire table enjoyed their food. The Korean ribs were amazing. In a city with so many excellent choices, would definitely return again.
Lori Lee
Walked by this place several times getting to the streetcar, as it was just half a block from our hotel. Wondered based on the name if it was an Emeril restaurant, and indeed it was! Finally decided to try it one night when we didn't have dinner plans. Everything we ordered was fantastic and our server was great! Portions are small to medium, great for sharing.
Preston Parks
Amazing food and service. The staff are very knowledgeable about the food on the menu. It's small plates and tapas style food. So you'll definitely want to order a couple dishes for sharing or just eating your self. They also had an extensive drink menu. It's a must try when in New Orleans. I definitely recommend having a reservation too.

Feb 2020 update. #20 and #55 cocktail are still outstanding. Ribs are still great but take a second place now to the Korean wings. Fries and flatbread seem to have improved from fair to good. We weren't impressed with the lobster fra diavolo or the banana pudding ice-cream cake. The cinnamon toast bread pudding (with raisins) was nice and the kid loved the mint chocolate chip (real mint and really minty!) ice-cream cone.
Original review
Outstanding and would order again: the candied pork ribs, the foie gras biscuit, the mexican corn, the #20 cocktail.
Pretty good: the Korean short ribs.
Has potential but wasn't to our liking: the boudin tamales, the bananas foster doberge cake.
For kids: the fries, cheese flatbread, and molten chocolate cake are easy kid pleasers, but on their own are just average.
Our server, Dale, took great care of our family and his recommendations were spot on. He clearly knows the menu and can help you navigate toward the best choices. If in doubt, just let him order for you. Seriously.
Melissa Minkow
Although casual, the restaurant experience was amazijg. We were impressed by the wait staff and the ability to recognize and create gluten free dishes for a family member
The food was absolutely outstanding. Our best meal so far in New Orleans
Naveed Irshad
Good food but missing the “bang”. Service was nice but extremely slow. Over 1 hour between appetizers and main.

Great customer service! The food is great. The brussel sprouts and sweet potato salad is served cold but is amazing. Meril's rendition of Mexican street corn is the best I've ever had! I also had the jumbo gulf shrimp and the fish dip both very tasty. This is the second restaurant of Emeril's that I've tried. Add this spot to your to-do if you are in NOLA.
Adriana Zambrano
Overall, I thought the experience was great. Prices were very reasonable. The ambience was upscale, but casual and lively. The food was different and mostly tasty. And the service was spot on.
I visited this place last night with my boyfriend and his parents. We got 4 apps (crab balls, the meatball, tamale, and upside down cornbread)(these aren't the exact name but you get the point). I would recommend getting the crab balls and the upside down pineapple bacon cornbread.
For drinks: They had an extensive wine selection and I chose a sauvignon blanc. It was perfect pairing with my entree.
For dinner: I chose one of the specials of the day which was the Angel Hair Pasta with Grouper cheeks. It brought good flavor and was a good sized dish. I was happy.
However someone in our party had the kielbasa sausage on a bun and they said it was good, but not very filling. So if you're looking for a more filling dish, I would recommend a pasta dish, as the wagyu steak my boyfriend ordered was also on the smaller side.
For dessert: We got the Lemon Ice Box Pie and the Deep dish Pecan Pie.
Out of the 2, I would recommend the Lemon Ice Box Pie. I usually don't go for desserts like that but this Lemon Pie was amazing. Just the perfect amount of sweet and satisfying. As for the Pecan Pie, I wouldn't order it again. Not that it wasn't good, but I've definitely had better.
But as I said, Overall we had a great experience and we will return to try more dishes.

So many good plates to choose from. You can't go wrong with any of them. We had a large party of 9 (3 of which were kids) so we must've gotten like 10 plates (run a bit on the smaller side for some) and we shared between all of us. Went for my sister's birthday and it came with a sizzler candle and cotton candy!
V. Cameron Flemming
Went there twice to eat and loved it both times, can't say enough about it, atmosphere is awesome, very clean and the wait staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The food speaks for it self, didn't have one thing that was disappointing.

I went to Meril for dinner based on the recommendations of a friend. The experience was quite good. I would definitely go back, and highly recommend this place to others.
First of all, when I arrived, I was offered the option of either a table or sitting at the chef's bar. Since it was just me, I opted for the chef's bar so I could watch the activity in the kitchen. I'm glad I did so because the kitchen was quite lively and fun to watch. The waitress was quite attentive and fun to talk to.
I started with an order of deviled eggs. I love deviled eggs when they are done well, and the waitress ensured me that I would love these. She was absolutely correct! The shrimp and cajun caviar combined perfectly with the deviled egg. The flavors all mixed together well, and the portions were generous.
Next, I decided to get an order of the Truffle pasta chips. I love truffle, but many places use way too much truffle oil and the flavor is overpowering. In this case, the amount of truffle oil was perfect. The light sprinkling of Parmesan cheese on top was also quite good. However, I think the chips would have been much better if they were air fried or baked rather than fried in oil. They were just a bit too heavy.
The third dish was the Fettuccine Nero. This dish was amazing!! The flavor of the black pasta (I assume squid ink) combined perfectly with the chiles and crabmeat. The portion was generous and the arugula added just a bit of flavor. I would order this dish again and again.
While I'm not usually a dessert person, the waitress convinced me to try the peanut butter banana cream pie. It sounded rather heavy, but when it arrived I have to admit it was actually somewhat light. It was a perfect way to finish off a delicious meal.
I did have a nice glass of wine with the meal. The wine list by the glass is adequate, and there is a decent selection of varietals to choose from.
Overall, a great restaurant!
Emiko Macaluso
Fantastic food, fun cotton candy sparklers for our friend's birthday surprise! Rashid was an incredible server and took care of us very well!

Had high expectations for dining at the restaurant of a world renowned chef, Emeril Lagassi, on my first trip to New Orleans! The experience was a sore disappointment. We had a 7:15 reservation, and arrived at the restaurant at 7. There were plenty of empty tables, but were told to wait till 7:15. The maitre d’ was curt, even to the point of rudeness. Once we were seated, the affable waitress, Zjelisa, compensated somewhat for the less than welcoming start to the evening. The appetizers were great. The upside down corn bread and the Korean style chicken legs were fantastic. The deviled eggs gave little cause for complaint. The main entrees satisfied most of the people at the table. My Asian inspired rice bowl with pork definitely needed to up its flavors. The ground pork had little flavor; the chef needs to think of adding fish sauce, garlic, toasted peanuts... something to give the dish interest. The liberal use of cilantro was not up to the task all on its own. The chocolate cookie and the tres leches cake did not disappoint, but were nothing extraordinary. All in all, I was underwhelmed by the dining experience.
Robyn Dibbern
Great place to celebrate a honeymoon meal together. Food was delicious and it was fun to watch the action in the kitchen.
Rahmi Eljoundi
Cool, upscale-but-not-yuppy setting with really nice and hearty small plates. It's a trendy place with flavors to boot that won't break your bank (at least compared to some). Great for smaller groups/couples to share items, obviously a little tougher for large groups unless no sharing is involved.
Pro tip: Brussel sprouts are hearty and delicious! Not sweet like other restaurants are trending.
Stephanie Fox
The food, atmosphere, service, and prices were all phenomenal!! Danny and Mike made our experience special and the view of the kitchen was priceless. Highly recommend!
Nick
Great food, great service! Great options for sharing and trying different things. Turkey necks...wouldnt normally try but wife said let's try...Delicious!!!! Daughter had Lobster Cannelloni....amazing!
K & J Calliste
Meril’s is a nice restaurant to go to for any occasion. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is amazing. Food comes is small portions, but is packed with flavor. Only issue is parking, but that is to be expected in Downtown New Orleans.
Le Va
Helloooo!!! From MSY straight to meril. This was my first meal in NOLA.
Sat at the bar and had the special crab and corn bisque. Delicious but small as a coffee cup. Then I have gulf shrimp and grits. Really tasty.
For dessert I had creme brulee with a fernet and coke.
Casual service at the bar. Kitchen is on the other side of the restaurant.
Did not have the chance to come back but definitely will on my next trip...
Thanks meril for such a good lunch!!
Matt Amos
One of the top restaurants in the city. Serving a different take on your every day eats. The food and service are both top notch and don't forget to ask for the complimentary birthday dessert when celebrating the life of your friends. It will "light" your night up
Robert Cardoni
Emeril’s newest spot in New Orleans. It’s about a year old - but still on point
Plates are smaller portions and meant to share
There’s flat breads that are delicious.
Special Sunday brunch items
Wide selection of craft cocktails
Service was very attentive and accommodating
BUT
The star of the show is the dessert offerings. Not that Emeril ever goes wrong here.
The key lime pie creme brûlée, pan baked cookies, ice cream, bread pudding. Yesssssss
Oh , and if it’s your birthday. - they bring out fresh cotton candy and a sparkler.
BAM!!!!!
Mark Ross
Three stars is being generous. The quality of the food was extremely disappointing given the fact that this is a celebrity chef's restaurant. The linguine with clams was saturated with butter and the flavor was underwhelming. The same was the case with the Dan-Dan noodles. Very oily and not very flavorful.
I would not recommend this restaurant given our experience.
Nathanial Stuart
Started with the ham croqettes that were super tasty and fried perfectly. Onto the wise guy flat bread which consists of sausage and piquillo peppers also very tasty. Then for a main had some fennel rigatoni which was great. I still think I like nola restaurant better but this place was definitely good.
R. Austin
Amazing restaurant, my partner and I had an amazing meal here. It was the highlight of our trip. The gulf fish dip was out of this world!! Everything seemed to be curated to perfection! The bartender was friendly but not too intrusive- again perfect.
Jose Rodriguez
Restaurant is a beauty, atmosphere was great as well as service. Food was good but a bit too pricey for what I consider a good value. Drinks were very good.
PTR
I went solo and they sat me at the bar facing into the kitchen. WHAT A TREAT. It is all business in there, but they looked like they were having a good time and I got smiles and dialog from the pastry chef. I had the pork special and loved that they have Cotton Candy on their dessert menu.
What a fabulous meal to end my last day here in New Orleans.
Jesse Fig
Great service and delicious precision cocktails by Damion. We had a lovely lunch. Enjoy!
Niki Hampton
Great food and service! Friendly wait staff and bartender. Everything we had was excellent!
Michal Brichacek
Excellent restaurant! The food is very good with unique flavours. The space itself is very cool with a great ambiance. We were seated right at the time of our reservation, and the food came out very quickly. Service was wonderful from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!
Marco Marone
Meril is Emeril Lagasse's latest New Orleans restaurant. Named after his daughter, Meril, this place offers wonderful style tapas food with an American abondance. The chicken wings and oysters are a must! The service is a bit douchie, but you'll forget about it after a few drinks.
Ashley Handsom
The service was exceptional! The staff made my son feel so important at his birthday lunch. Thank you so very much to the General Manager and our servers. We will be back.
Amy Crowley
This was deliciously amazing. Our waitress was very lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. We had the Korean wings, turkey necks, steak and Brussels. All amazing. My 6 year old also loved the meatballs. Cocktails were delicious. Definately recommend.
Jessica Chepa
The ambiance is nice. The food was great and so was our server. If you don't want to know what goes on in the kitchen do not sit at the chefs counter. Majority of the cooks are not wearing gloves. Noone washed their hands the entire time we sat here. They were playing with their phones then went back to touching the food (gross)! The chef calling out all the orders. Was eating (gushers), drinking and touching the food. Overall a great experience but they really should work on hand sanitation.
Douglas Grad
It's an Emeril-owned restaurant. So the food is awesome. Very eclectic menu, swanky modern casual setting. We sat at the kitchen bar facing right into the kitchen, so we can see the chefs as they prepare the food. How cool is that? Everything on the menu tasted great from appetizers to main course to desserts. Try everything... And you will love it. And we didn't even have a reservation.
Jake Perkins
Absolutely amazing food. Every dish we had was awesome! Love the Spanish shrimp and the tomatoes salad
tom margerum
Excellent food. Charming friendly staff who effortlessly ensure an enjoyable meal.
Raluca Constantinescu
Back to NOLA for one week! This gumbo was amazing! My favorite this year!
Hans Addleman
Amazing meal all around from apps to dessert. The biscuits, wings, and deviled eggs were all stellar. The candied pork ribs were awesome, and the desserts amazing. Service was attentive and fun!!! Always kept our water glasses full. Open kitchen and amazing to watch the talented Chefs work. Will come back here any time I am in New Orleans.
Michelle Frisco
This was by far the best food we had on our trip. Satisfied a vegetarian, a seafood affectionado and a meat and potatoes customer. Everything was faboulous...including the incredible service.....our waiter not only guided us to perfect ordering to share but had photos of a lot of the dishes to help us make decisions. Will absolutely be back here when I'm in town for buisness in April
John Maxsom
Not bad but very expensive for what it is. I cooked professionally for 2 years and I will say that everything iw cooked perfectly.
They will cook your burger to exactly how you want it, their breading is good and lightly fried. The presentation and garnishes of the food is spectacular.
However, the flavor is either good or lacking. While the fried chicken for the salad was amazing, the deviled eggs were bland.
Make the simple deviled eggs from Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything book and they are infinitely better if not as pretty as the ones served here.
Furthermore, only come if you have a reservation as the seating area for those without one is extremely uncomfortable.
Very friendly, lively, and nice staff. But not worth it at the prices they are charging.
John Bhisitkul
Nice place for business casual style meal. Interior is well done. My black pasta was tasty. Friendly service and they kept cheerfully offering to put my half finished beer in a take away cup for me ;). Only in NOLA.
Adrian McCoy
It was all I anticipated and more. Awesome service. AMAZING food. Great decor.
TJ Drudi
What a fantastic restaurant! We weren't even that hungry but could only get an early reservation for the day we had time to try it. After trying our Hors d'oeuvres of the Rock Shrimp Tacos and the Pineapple Upside Down Cornbread, we knew we had to have more. My wife got the Candied Pork Ribs that fell off the bone and were incredible. I got the Wise Guys flatbread. And we split the Mexican Street Corn. We finished off by having the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding and Lemon Ice cream Pie with Blueberry sauce. Our server Ryan was awesome too. Then as we were leaving we saw Emeril leaving the kitchen which was a great surprise.
Bryan Whittington
The ambience was very nice and our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. We enjoyed the experience overall. The food was okay to good. For appetizers we got the pocket bread which was fine but unmemorable and the Korean chicken wings. The wings were the highlight of the meal! They were amazing. For main course I was a little basic and ordered the gumbo and a side of fries just because I was craving French fries. The gumbo wasn’t very good tbh and it was pretty much cold when it was served, like it had been sitting a long while. And the fries are literally McDonalds fries for $9. I would’ve chosen something else besides those two options for my main course.
Jonathan Zapata
Appetizers (9/10) | These appetizers are delicious and easily sharable. We ordered quite the selection and I remember enjoying every app. My table even ordered a couple of Mexican corn sides as appetizers.
Beer (8/10) | Great beer choices on tap. This is more of an all around place with a sorted selection of beer, cocktails, and wines.
Flatbread/Pizza (5/10) | I was disappointed in the Market Veggies flatbread. The presence of the tomato sauce was completely drowned out due its weak execution. It was a very light, watered down, and lacking in any significant taste. The vegetables on top were fresh and plentiful. The crust was average.
Experience (10/10) | I had a great time at Meril's. The server was always looking out for us. We were celebrating a recent significant event and they brought out the house signature celebratory dish - cotton candy with a sparkler. This will surely get the floor's attention.
Ashlee McCarter
Highly recommended!! The food, customer service and the aesthetics were amazing! Marcus ensured that our dinning experience was nothing short but amazing!! One of the best restaurants in New Orleans.
Tomas D. Spillane
We ordered YELLOWFIN TUNA WRAPS, HOUSEMADE MEATBALLS, POINT JUDITH CALAMARI, ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS & SWEET POTATO, JERK CHICKEN THIGHS, KOREAN SHORT RIBS and ROASTED CAULIFLOWER. I think there was a flat bread in there somewhere lol. Everything was delicious! I really could eat here everyday.
Thames Saracen
I have visited this restaurant before and will again in the future. The food and the service that I experienced was first rate. Special note: the pineapple upside down cornbread is unbelievably good.
Mohit Mathur
Meril, World renowned chef Emeril Lagasse's newest addition to his chain of restaurants in NOLA.The menu allowed for tapas like meal sharing with plenty of options to choose from.

Point Judith Calamari with white bean purée lemon and Cerignola olive
Boudin Tamale roasted tomatillo with red Chile sauce

Sqiud ink Fettuccine Nero served with jumbo lump crabmeat,Calabrian chiles, arugla and toasted almonds
Creamy chocolate peanut butter banana cream pie.
Evgeniia Guliaeva
This tapas style restaurant is a gem!
Everything was so good. We started with Muffaletta flat bread - good introduction to New Orleans staple food with a twist. Our favorite was pasta - mushrooms were so flavorful and pair nicely with the creamy sauce. Ribs were a little salty and we were not fans of taking out the bones, but still good. Carrots - delicious! And pair nicely with pasta ;)
They also have a great selection of deserts. Check them out!
John Kyte
Fetticune Nero - to die for. Lost of blue crab, delicious pasta, and the spinach and pistachio sauce with Calabrian chiles is perfect.
Great service at the bar - drinks and food. Going back.
Katrina Hays
This place is to die for! I loved everything that we ate! It was nice to get to the cooks making your food as you wait.
Colleen Coleman
We came in around 5:45, 15 minutes before Happy Hour was ending which no one made us aware of they have $5.00 specials at hh. Because we were seated all the way in the back of a nearly empty room we were under the chalkboard that displayed the specials which we took advantage of saving $8 on my glass of prosecco. Other than that every morsel was a taste treat. Not shown in the photos we also tried the upside down corn bread w/bacon marmalade so yummmy.
Danielle Robinson
Had to visit this place for my birthday, our server Vicki was amazing and made our visit absolutely memorable. Deviled eggs and caviar was the weirdest most amazing thing I've ever had. If you get the chance definitely make your way to this restaurant.
Chris Schiffmann
Fantastic food. Great staff. Love this place. Some of the best food I had in NewOrleans.
Carlos Rodriguez
Best dinner in NOLA. Emeril Lagrasse namesake restaurant did not disappoint a great upscale combination of Cajun inspired food with a classic cuisine approach. Friendly staff and professional service great date spot.
devin dozier
Had Trey as our waiter. He was very helpful and cool. Definitely will visit again,in a heart beat😘😘😘all of food was excellent …
Pamela Booker
The dishes were some of the most delicious I've eaten in a long time. Our server was delightfully attentive. I will make it a point to dine here whenever I am in New Orleans.
Lloyd Lentz
Great food as you'd expect. Say it's your birthday and they bring cotton candy with a flaming sparkler. One heck of a great Bourbon list. Want a shot of Pappy 25?! They got you covered. Don't want to spend $190 for a shot? The house barrel of W.L Weller is top notch.
John Scott Major
Food was good. Service was acceptable. Portions small. We found ourselves wanting a snack later.
Josh Jacob
Great ambiance. Drinks were very tasty. Staff was super attentive and knowledgable. Only negative was that some of the dishes were on the saltier side.
Jam Morena
So good. We did small plates. And they were all so good. The cotton candy is such a treat!
Jeff Allen
Just had to share a couple of photos from this
Incredible restaurant when I dined there back in March 2017. The food and service was top shelf and worthy of a visit.
Debra Bensen
Fantastic food and atmosphere! Wait staff very attentive food delicious! If you are in New Orleans make sure you come here. Emerils also was Fantastic a once in a life time experience for my daughter and I. I went to all 3 restaurants. The last was at the airport and the food was a real treat a nice way to end our trip.
Neftali Ventura
Chef that night killed it. Great representation of what diversity means in a menu. Every menu item brought a new experience.
Sabyasachi Barik
Food was good and service was nice. They made the t bone steak perfectly. Totally loved that. Ambiance was also nice. Not the best pudding but it was ok.
Christiane Highfill
We have been to this restaurant a few times. We have had great dining experiences here, but this visit was not the greatest. The food was excellent. However, or server could have done better. He gave us the obligatory welcome and showed us with the specials, but he talked too fast and was very short with us. In talking or order, I asked for an accommodation for my entree and he flatly said "no, we can't do that." This turned me off very quickly. Though he kept our water glasses filled, it took a while for our cocktails to arrive, and the same with our entrees. Our server didn't stop by to check in us until we finished our meal, and even then it took a while for him to do that. I really enjoyed Meril's in the past. I hope I have a better experience next time.
Andrew Putnam
We sat in the middle and it was a little loud, but manageable versus other places I've been. Food was really good, and the service was on par with a much nicer place. Cajun food with Creole service. Was nice and cold for me as a guy, but the girlfriend was freezing (not atypical).
Andrew Moore
I ate at the bar and had the ribs and smoke fish dip. The bartenders were super friendly and made a really good oaxacan old fashioned.
Casey B.
I don’t get the hype of this place. Came here for my birthday. Service was excellent but the food was okay. Given the 100 other amazing food options in the city I probably won’t come back. Wasn’t impressed.
Cheraine Agoff
Wonder atmosphere and amazing service. The wait staff and hist treat you like old friends. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are out of this world.
Souphaphone Phasavath
Delicious and great service. Loved the Korean chicken wings!
Jane Fijal
Great service with friendly personalities, food was unique and tasteful. Relaxing and comfortable while dining there.
Alex Burst
The food was Amazing! Very well priced as well and the atmosphere was great. It had a nice rustic feel to it while using local ingredients
Sonia Gupta
In the early evening it's a good spot for families. After 8 pm the vibe shifts to be more appropriate for an adult crowd. Excellent food and cocktails, and very attentive servers and bartenders. Our server noticed that three people in our party were wearing black and gave us black napkins so we wouldn't have lint on our clothes from white napkins! A lovely evening was had by all.
Argentum Sphinx
In my Top 3 favorite spots for seafood in NOLA always busy so make reservations in advance. Staff is pleasant and make great recommendations.
Starr T
I was in NOLA 5 days, best food I’ve tried here. Cornbread and turkey necks were A1 and the service was too. Gumbo was mid but because everything else blew my socks off I was cool with that
Chris Diego Young
Best food I had my whole time in New Orleans. The corn off the cob was soooo good I almost forgot to take a pic before I ate it all! The wait staff was awesome!!
Van ReefMan
Very nice, however entree portions were too small, even for an upscale joint. Desserts are amazing.
Hospitality Of New Orleans
Meril's great place for a business lunch, special occasion or just a nice meal with friends. The food is absolutely delicious with a variety of traditional and modern dishes. Get a variety of small plates to try all of their goodies.
Karl Mann
Good wines.... Food not up to expectations. JAMON flatbread tasty but was looking for Jamon. Linguine with clams came with 3 tiny clams and massive liad of cryshed red pepper.
brandy olden
Minimal food options, they have a fun bday ritual with a tune firework which is fun and the bar outcomea can be different depending on the drink you order
A Walker
Smoked fish dip is amazing! Great service. The flatbread pizza was okay.
ALEXANDER REYES
One of the best atmospheres in the city for sure! Food is incredible as always, I mean it's Emerils. Cheers! Jeremy is the 💩💩💩! …
Henry Rife
Food was good, appetizers were great but no Cajun food on menu. Place is fairly noisy.
Alyssa Wagstaff
Everything was delicious! I loved having so many small plate options so that we could try out different items on the menu! My favorites items are: Spanish croquettes, boudin tamales, and chorizo flatbread! Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance because they are always busy
Trent Rodriguez
Awesome food and cocktails. Service was pretty good as well. We had a group of 10 and we ordered food ahead of time, had it served family style and it was so much better than everyone ordering meals individually. The restaurant made it work perfectly and saved a lot of time.
William Whalen
Decided to go to Merils given the name recognition. The menu was interesting and tried a few different dishes; turkey necks, chicken liver, and muffaletta flat bread. The flat bread was dissapointing it was just an oval shaped pizza, so much potential to be better. The turkey necks were good but very little meat. The main entree portions are small therefore you may need to order more appetizers.
Brad Miller
The best dinner we had all week here . Fried tuna balls were a great appetizer and the Ribeye steak with house Worcestershire sauce was off the charts. Bartender was friendly and very helpful with meal selection.
Stuart Lefkowitz
Somethings great like Korean chicken wings but others overly seasoned. Deviled eggs (3 halves) seriously overpriced at $15! Interesting wines. Had Oren Swift's 8 days in the desert.
R J
Great service! Get the cornbread! Music is too loud for a restaurant; I will think twice before returning.
Marissa Love
We went twice during our weekend trip. Loved the food & cocktails. The Paloma was my go to drink. #BAM
Myriah Fankhauser
The servers were outstanding! I will definitely go back because of the service. The appetizers were better than the entrées but overall the atmosphere was incredible and the service was 5⭐'s
LyNéa Porche
The Steak Frites was extremely tasty. Cooked to perfection. Music selection was great. Only downside, we asked to sit outside and was told all tables were reserved when in fact one table was empty the entire time.
Danielle Cohen
The food was incredible, every single dish was just spectacular!! We had the mushroom pasta , half chicken the veggie flat bread and the Greek salad
Chimaobi Amutah
Had a great dinner at Meril. The Korean fried wings were a great starter (snack, as they're called there) and the mushroom gnudi was great, especially with shrimp added. For dessert I had the pecan something something and it was also really good. Portions could be larger but I'll live and our server did let us know that beforehand. Also had two of the cocktail that had mezcal in it and it was delicious.
Janelle Lino
My mom and I had a reservation and were seated very promptly. The waiters were very nice. It was our first time visiting this restaurant. We chose to get the Korean style short ribs, the french fries, and the corn off the cob. The french fries and the corn were really nice. The short ribs were tasty, but they could have been cooked a little bit longer. The ribs were tough.
Thomas Gentile
The food here is amazing, Emeril has done it again!
Ryan and George were extremely helpful and courteous. Amazing night, 10/10, would recommend!
Bill Courville
Very good food in Austin service and a great atmosphere
Bobby Jinkins
Awesome experience. Burger and fries were perfection, also the fettuccine was cooked perfectly and not over spiced. Had the peanut butter chocolate molten cake and the key lime tart for dessert, that tart is to die for. Go. Enjoy!
Eric Rauert
Didn't know this was Emeril's restuarant walking in but it doesn't disappoint. We were seated at the "kitchen bar" where we got to see the action while seated. Service was great, food was delicious (I had a piece of fish and my girlfriend had the crab pasta), and atmosphere was noisy and bright. Portions were a little small for the price but cooked to absolute deliciousness. Worth stopping by for a fancier meal and formal dining experience.
Bobby Allen
The food was great- the shining star was our server. Kiwana has the best personality and she connected with everyone in our group.
I also enjoyed the giant spray painted crab mural on the wall.
myesha nickelson
A great vibe! The appetizers are fun and delicious!! The staff is friendly !!
Kia McCullough
It was very noisy and we had a large party that was seated in two different sections. The tables were next to each other, but we had different servers and the way the tables were situated, we could not easily interact with each other. The servers for one table were great, but the others did not go over the specials. We asked what the specials were after seeing, but not hearing the other server go over them. Our server responded that they were on the table. I had the Korean shortribs. While tasty, the meat was tough and the kimchi potatoes did not complement the meal. We were there for a birthday dinner, I was very disappointed and felt like I could have had amazing food in NOLA and wasted a night and missed a parade.
Philippe Trounev
Loved it. Best tasting food, great service!!!
Beatrice Albert
Celebrated my daughter's 21st. Birthday and my son's engagement! They brought a sparkler with cotton candy and champagne for both! Loved it, great food and service!
Connie Kline
The food & service was outstanding. Loved the Bucatini with seared scallops & the Key lime creme brulee.
Morgan Campbell
We made a reservation for Meril on a Saturday night, we got there when it opened, we were seated right away. Dress is casual. Service was fast, staff was very friendly and attentive. The crab claws were fantastic, the tuna bundles were delicious, the pineapple upside down cornbread was also delicious. The roasted half chicken was AMAZING, I would go as far to say best chicken I have ever had it was very moist the sauce was fantastic, the crispy skin was to die for a MUST ORDER!! We also got the lamb which was great as well! The banana cream pie was amazing. We would definitely return to Meril. You must go here when visiting NOLA!!
Lonny B.
Can't love this place more...no oversized meals but ample and done right!.. would go back anytime
Melissa “Trailer Swift” Hudson
My boyfriend wanted to go here so badly. We went for dinner and we were very unimpressed. I am an excellent cook so it is very hard for us to eat out anywhere. The food was bland and uneventful. We kept ordering different things to try......they were all disappointing. Maybe we were there on a night that the kitchen was having a problem? Maybe some chefs or cooks called out? That's all that I can hope for because I am having a hard time believing that this nice place has such horrible food. The atmosphere and the service are great, but unfortunately I go out to eat to EAT and that was hard to accomplish. I do not recommend this place if you are going to actually eat the food. There are too many amazing restaurants in the area to spend your money at. We spent the entire weekend eating amazing food........that is until we went to Meril's. I just hope that if you go, you will have a better experience.
Clint Meyer
The service was impeccable, the setting is very nice. The experience was great. Our server even brought over a treat at the end of the meal just to be nice. The food was not what we were expecting as a family of 4 tourists (I think we are not the intended demographic), but we appreciated the quality.
A perfect romantic dinner for a date night or event to get dressed up for. We felt very welcomed but wished we had gotten cleaned up first.
Aaron Teasdale
The food was great and Caleb, our server, was one of the best waiters I have ever had. The fries were very good and the shrimp dish we had was fantastic. This place made our 10 year anniversary that much more memorable.
Justin Williams
Food was amazing and service was great. It gets quite loud in the dining room but it was a fun atmosphere. Certainly recommended!
Adriana Burman
Yum yum yum and fantastic service. Their flatbread are tasty so much favor so fresh and crispy. Short ribs devine! Great cocktails and atmosphere
Victoria Rosser
Absolutely amazing experience at dinner tonight. The food was amazing, and the service was even better. We enjoyed ourselves so much and the Meril team made the experience so special for my son and me. We can’t wait to visit again.
Patrice Linen
Love it! Gumbo was super disappointing, but everything else was top-notch! I had this rosé sangria that was AMAZING! Their old fashioned was incredible! Even the fries were super delicious! It was my guy's bday, so they brought out this sparkler and a huge thing of cotton candy. It was cute. I had the swordfish, and he had a burger. Both cooked perfectly! We'll definitely be back!
Robert Lowe
An amazingly good restaurant with a terrifically inventive menu. The location is also good inasmuch as its still a distance from the uproar of the French Quarter. Highly recommend it.
Richard Guevara
Great food. Small portions. Excellent service. Street Parking after 7pm is free.
Lisa Bradshaw
Delicious deviled eggs appetizer, great dinner and dessert! Definitely recommend. We loved the atmosphere and service
Kyle Prest
There is no combination of words in the English language that can adequately convey how amazing of an experience this was.
The staff was great, the food terrific, atmosphere was inviting and very vibey.
Every course built on top of each other perfectly, and my only complaint is that I didn't have enough room to try more entrees and apps.
I 100% will come back here, and recommend everyone do the same!
Atlanta Amado
probably THE very best of all emeril's restaurants. dont miss the blackberry buscuit. dont miss whatever fish is the special of the day. eat there early in your vacation, so that u can come back + eat there again.
Van N
It's exactly what you expect and come to know when you go to an Emeril's establishment - great food and service.
Nicole Bowman
AWESOME dining experience! Our server was Caleb and he was incredibly attentive and friendly. Everything ordered was hot and delicious. The pineapple upside down cornbread is an absolute must 🤤
Wanda Moore
Loved this restaurant. Service was great and food was really good!!!
CJ Nicholson-Uhl
Atmosphere is wonderful - the wait staff is very attentive - food appears to be an after thought: lacking taste, the squid salad was completely void of flavor. 4 people at dinner and no one finished their meal - disappointed.
Rich Smith
Damion was our server and made our drinks, it was wicked good (we’re from Massachusetts) he was super friendly and gave great recommendations on drinks and food! The atmosphere from the hostess ( )o the decor to the food was above expectations !!
Skillet cookie is amazing, s’more ice cream cone is fantastic!
Chris Clarke
We had an excellent dinner at Meril. Our servers were so friendly and fun and our food was phenomenal! The portion sizes were a little small - but I think that’s a good thing! It allowed us to save room for dessert. I recommend the spaghetti and meatballs. The key lime icebox pie was really tasty.
Baris Bildaci
They accommodated a party of 8 with 4 kids, on a very busy day. We are grateful for all they have done. Food was great, as well as service. Outside seating was very nice as well.
Tessa Arnold
Delicious food. Upscale yet casual atmosphere. Friendly, fun service. Viewing kitchen is always a plus. I highly recommend the tuna wrap appetizer!
Eva Moore
So good! And our waiter was awesome.
Lisa Incatasciato
Great service. Nice but casual place. Sitting at the counter and watching the kitchen was fun.
nunda smith
It was my first time eating here and I got the Korean Short Ribs. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and very helpful.
Lauren Walker
I know everyone loves this place. As far as the staff I TOTALLY get it. They're extremely professional and accommodating. They are knowledgeable about the menu and truly go out of their way for you. The food however was honestly decent, it was not bad but it wasn't great. Things were on the too salty side. I was thankful the game the opportunity to try alligator sausage but I felt like I enjoyed the balance of flavors at some of the other places we dined. Please don't take this to mean you will not enjoy the food bc you may. It's worth trying. There is definitely solid effort and quality that went into the dishes and their ingredients.
Bob Gegenheimer
Good food, reasonable prices, great service and lots of fun. Not a large menu but a nice variety. Portions are small, so don't expect to "pig out". Has a bar but you cannot sit there due to virus panic. Dress is casual. Shorts are allowed but everyone dresses to look good. Great place to go for a birthday. They bring cotton candy with a sparkler to your table. VERY popular event.
Erica Gifford
Ordered: gumbo, Korean short ribs, brussel sprouts, key lime creme brulee. Gumbo was good, sausage was tender and flavorful. Short rubs were tough- I sent them back. Sprouts had 0 salt, and the bacon in it wasn't crispy. Brulee was good and solid.
Kitchen timing was way off. Waited 20 minutes for my gumbo, but I had barely taken 4 bites when my main dish arrived, without my side. Took another ten minutes for the sprouts. I expected way better.
Paul Townsend
We had the first seating of the day and experienced delicious apps and happy hour libations! I had the Pompano dish, and others had the soft shelled crab and the chicken under a brick and all were wonderful. We had tried the elota and it was the best I've ever had! We capped off the night with the salted caramel ice cream topped on the cast iron soft chocolate chip cookie.... Needless to say we left full and happy!
Leslie Eich
Wow exceptional food all around...from the Mexican corn on the cob, spaghetti and meatballs, to the key like creme Brule! Same for the drinks and service. Would definitely recommend!
Alfredo Panciera
The quality of food and the service is excellent. Very good atmosphere.
Lisa Bergeron
Awesome experience. Food was great: plates are meant to share, and while tapas style is usually code for "tiny overpriced plates," all of the portion sizes were large and we didn't leave hungry! Great ambiance, classy without being uppity. Helpful waitstaff as well. Definitely would come back and recommend to anyone going to New Orleans.
Bryan Hodges
Happening and lively place. Food was amazing. Get the ice cream cone for desert.
Mike and Deena Bernabe
My wife and I are from LA and were exploring New Orleans on the trolley. We spent some time at the WWII Museum (also great) and were walking back to our hotel when we got hungry ~4:00 PM. We Googled “restaurants near here” and Meril happened to be around the corner. We were dressed very casual (sightseeing). The hostess welcomed us warmly. Our waiter, Dale, was a delight. He had to explain a few unusual things on the menu - hey you real foodies probably would not have trouble. I’m just an old guy who loves to eat.
It’s a tapas style place. We loved every bite. We had Deviled Eggs w Cajun Caviar, Shrimp Tacos, Brussels Spouts and Sweet Potatoes, Candied Pork Robs, Key Lime pie, and some very nice wine. This food is innovative and delicious. I’ve paid two and three times more for dinners like this in LA.
Bottom line: One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My wife and I will return.
dan klobucar
Of all the restaurants we ate at during our Final Four trip, Meril's was the best. Great food, great look, great atmosphere, really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it!
Heidi Kelm
We thoroughly our meals at Meril's. My husband especially loved the Roasted Oysters on the Half-shell! The food was great and the service was EXCELLENT! Huge shout out to Caleb and his partner, Justin for taking such good care of us and making sure everything was to our liking. If I ever visit New Orleans again, we will definitely go there again. The decor and ambiance were perfect, not too stuffy or pretentious, rather it was casual with just the right amount of hipster flair! BAM!
Marco Ramirez
Excellent service. The food was delicious. Great music and atmosphere. I wish I remembered our waiter's name to give him a shout out. The ribeye and oysters were 🔥
Robiin Hood
This was not the nicest restaurant we went to in New Orleans but it was the best. The food was great and every single staff personnel was so nice. I would come back to this place 100 times!
Rob Gallup
Well, they forgot to put our order in with the chefs. We asked for ketchup for a burger and by the time they brought it out the burger was eaten. Daniel, the manager, is the only reason they got 5 stars.
D Cyr
Excellent food!!!! The Pork Porterhouse was delicious. Try the Korean fried chicken and the fried buttermilk biscuits!!!!!!
Brian Asaro
It would've been another star if we weren't forgotten. The food was good and we had the kitchen window seats which was entertaining. They just forgot we were there and the food took a while to arrive.
Mark & Mare H
There arent enough stars to rate Meril! We were in NOLA with our family to celebrate my husbands birthday. Beautiful restaurant with outdoor dining but we opted to be seated inside. Our waitress was awesome! We spent almost 2 hours there and was never rushed, always tended to. The food was different from what we've ever had, but WOW! It was so good! I've always been appauled by squid ink pasta but the way Meril makes it changed my opinion! We even had desert which we NEVER do! Their cotton candy sparkler for the birthday guy was amusing! We even ATE the cotton candy! LOL! Thank you to Meril's for a wonderful birthday dinner!!
Hermann Alb
We had a large party. Instead of each of us ordering something, we told the waiter to bring us several things he'd reccomend for us to share. We ended up doing that for three courses and everything was delicious. The service was great. Wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back again.
McMc
Best food we've had since arriving in New Orleans a week ago! Everything was amazing
Aaron Martinez
The cheese plate was awesome The shrimp and grits were just okay, and the cookie was perfect. I wish they had more regular drink options. All they had was coke options. But his restaurants never disappoint.
John Shambra
Of course of course the place was good. I wouldn’t have expected anything less than really good. Quality of the food was good and the atmosphere was better. However they lose one star for two reasons. My pork chop, while tasty, was over cooked and two of the waiters got into a screaming match in the open kitchen. Not the most professional thing but was entertaining.
Kim Strong
I've been here twice. The first time, everything was wonderful. On the second visit, the food was not great. Our shrimp skewer on bread appetizer was literally burned and black and was still served to us. My husband ordered a rabbit dish that contained virtually no meat, mostly pasta and sauce. It was disappointing. The service, however, was great, and the place is clean and pleasant.
Cori Ershowsky
Don’t miss it! This place was spectacular. Super cute place for a nice dinner and the food was perfect, wine was yummy too. We considered this one of our nice spots and dressed up too. For birthdays they do a fun cotton candy dessert. We love it here and we ordered a lot of things on the menu to try.
Lauren L
Lauren was our server and was incredibly professional! She was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations for food as well as drinks for the whole table. Everything was phenomenal and her service was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
Richmond Edwards
The food and atmosphere were spot on. Even though it's a small plate type of restaurant everything is not a small plate dish so be aware of what you order. The chicken and waffle was excellent but a normal sized portion. The candied ribs were tender and very tasty and you got 6 very meaty ribs. After ordering several small plates as appetizers we very stuffed and had to take some food home.
Arpan Patel
Great food... Great service... Highly recommended
Lori Sousa
Everything here was excellent. My husband and I had devilled eggs, tomato and buratta salad and meatball to start. Then we had the porterhouse pork and Korean short ribs. We had bread pudding and pecan pie and coffee for dessert. The only thing that wasn't fabulous was my husband's margarita. He didn't really enjoy it. The waiter was very helpful with choices because we both have some allergies. An overall enjoyable experience.
Levar McCloud
Great service from beginning to end. Meatballs and Crispy Turkey Necks were both great choices.
Micah Sebastian
Food is delicious. Not tremendous portions and completely a-la-carte. However everyone was full and satisfied. We ordered about 10 items and everything was unique, well balanced, and extremely well executed. Only small disappointment was that the server lacked attentiveness. It was near closing time and she seemed to be doing other things despite maintaining refills and ensuring satisfaction after delivery even though only a few tables remained. Great restaurant and I hope to return.
Andrea Ribando
Had the tuna appetizer lettuce wrap - very fresh and tasty. The salad with duck slices, cheese board and the deviled eggs. Everything delicious. Seems to be the place for celebrations since they bring out freshly spun cotton candy and a sparkler flamer as the candle. At least ten were ordered while we ate Sunday lunch - very festive !
Mark Ferguson
Great gluten free options- service was awesome.
Julia Barstow
Loved it. Small plates, great flavors and selection of Emeril type classics and fresh new favorites. Good drink prices and tasty cocktails. Our server was knowledgeable and not overbearing. Have been several times and will go back.
Arjan P
Service by Ryan and Mike was great. However, we expected better from the kitchen. Some dishes came out soaked in oil. The cauliflower curry was bland. The garlic fries were great. Taboullie was just OK. The deviled eggs were good. We decided to leave early and get another entree elsewhere.
Britt S
Nice atmosphere, food and service fluctuate between excellent and poor. I've come on a great night, and recently I've come on an off night where they were out of multiple menu items, and foods were oversalted or just not good. Some usually good appetizers are wedge salad and Korean wings. Flatbreads are fine...but you can go anywhere for that and pay much less. I don't know if I'll be giving them another chance.
Jmp 123
Really great place to share plates. 4 of us ordered a bunch of things. The chicken livers, crab croquettes, fries, Brussels sprouts salad, roasted cauliflower, calamari, Korean short ribs, glazed chicken thighs, linguine with clams, candied pork ribs, Brussels sprouts side... everything was delicious and very shareable. They were willing to bump anything that was regularly 3 items to 4. Good cocktails and wine. Lemon ice box pie was shared. It was fun. Good and knowledgeable service.
Stephen Keighery
The food is great and the casual atmosphere is nice. We eat here often and have never had a bad meal. There is a good vibe on Saints game day as well.
Christopher Viscomi
Superb dining experience. We did not have a reservation, but were offered corner seats at the bar, which we appreciated. The bartender/waiter was superb (I don’t recall his name- part time realtor, former flight attendant). He patiently described wines, offered samples, enthusiastically recommended dishes.
The menu was much more varied and interesting than other Emeril restaurants. Everything we ordered was absolutely superb in spicing, presentation, temperature, and freshness.
Overall, our best dining experience in New Orleans.
EDWIN PEREA
Great food and great service. They all worked together to make sure my table was well served. I even saw the General Manager cleaning up tables and popping bottles. Top notch
Quentin Hodges
My companion and I had a FANTASTIC time at Meril.
Prior to my visit to NOLA I began following a few local establishments via social media. One day, Meril posted a photo of a new slush beverage that looked like a great refreshment to enjoy on a blistering summer day.
We made reservations for lunch, but the place was mostly empty when we arrived. As the afternoon dragged on, a crowd eventually appeared. We ordered a few appetizers based on our waiter’s great recommendations. I did order the slush and it tasted as good as it looked on social media. My companion loved her drink as well.
The Meril staff knew that we were celebrating a special event and surprised us with a giant serving of cotton candy on a stick paired with one of those colorful sparklers that you’ll find in a nightclub’s VIP section.
I’m sure the menu changes regularly, so if/when I return to NOLA, I’ll pay Meril another visit so I can try what interesting creations they’ve managed to cook up.
Miriam Bell
Dined there last night and the service and food were absolutely perfect. It’s a much more casual feel than the other Emerils restaurants. I had the shrimp tacos and gluten free pasta with a shrimp and sausage sauce. Even the fries were excellent. We chose a cocktail that was perfectly made as well. The desserts were unbelievable too. Even the coffee was awesome. Merils serves small plate style but the portions were still generous. Presentation was beautiful. Our waiter was equally professional and personal. This is a must visit place!
Sernovia Person
We came from Gulfport, Ms for a #BaeCation. Everything was perfect!! My boyfriend saw Currency (the N.O. rapper) talking about how great this restaurant was on YouTube. So I surprised him for his birthday and made reservations at Meril. They did not disappoint. The hostess acknowledged that it was his birthday when she greeted us. Our table was ready as soon as we walked in. We were seated in a private corner in the back of the restaurant. If I didn't know any better I would have thought we bought the place out and we were the only ones there. We had 2 servers and they were both patient and provided excellent service. He had the No. 20 drink and I had the No. 40. The No. 40 tasted better to me but they both were strong and delicious. We had the Korean Chicken Wings, Korean Beef Short Ribs, Cast Iron Fried Cheese, Mahi-Mahi, and Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie with a scoop of Carmel Ice Cream on top for dessert. The real treat was the cotton candy brought out with sparklers for his birthday. The whole restaurant joined in to wish him a happy birthday. It was EPIC!!! Thanks Meril for helping me make my Bae birthday GREAT!! We will definitely be dining here again in the future.
Trey McClain
The menu is huge, with so many great options. We ordered quite a bit, so I was able to sample a few dishes. The BBQ shrimp was great! I also loved the flatbreads. The cocktails were nice as well, especially the La Paloma and Hemingway Daiquiri.
Redpac Jenkins
The food is damn good. Be adventurous and get the turkey necks, you won't regret it. The service is outstanding. We wanted for nothing and left stuffed. I didn't know they had cotton candy but since my son was a good kid they gave him a tower of it for desert for free
Tiffany Paga
Great Food and amazing staff. Our waiter, Dale, was very helpful. He even gave us some postcards and souvenir cups to take home. The food was great. It's a tapas style and everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans.
casey morriss
love the huge menu @ Meril. Usually the specials look so great, I don't even get to all the great dishes on the regular menu. Tonight I got the spinach Salad and kielbasa off the regular menu. Salad was great. Kielbasa was good but will probably try something else next time. Got the baklava with candied bacon and pecans off the special menu... DELICIOUS. Great cocktails too!
Ashanti' Shennell-EL
Loved it. The meatballs I ate were delicious. The deserts was soon good.
Ernest Morrison
The menu was great. Loved the fresh Tuna tartar on the Coolinary menu. Matt was an attentive waiter. It was interesting sitting at the kitchen bench watching the food prep.
Jeff Reddy
Fantastic!! Food was unique and very tatsy!
Jr Huey
Did was good but not the amazing flavor I was expecting. Cocktails were excellent.
Andrea Medina
I had the swordfish as an entree, the deviled eggs and tuna lettuce wraps as appetizers, and the key lime creme brûlée for dessert. I was literally licking the plate after every course. This place is a must if you’re in New Orleans! It’s appropriately priced and the staff is excellent. Not too upscale which is great if you’re just walking in but nice enough.
Sonia Jagtiani
It was my 3rd visit and was very disappointed. The food is good, but not excellent. The flatbread isn’t very flat not crispy. The pastas were good though. However, the timing and service weren’t really good. We ordered our drinks first then a few minutes later the appetizer. The food came before the drinks. Same thing happened again for the main meal - the food came at various stages. Our server was nice but forgot a lot. The lasagna had a hair in it. All this being said, since it’s a restaurant like Meril I expect this to be at a higher quality. This was more of an Applebee’s type of experience.
Hannah Keshishian
We came here for my bachelorette dinner and Kewanna took care of us. She is so kind, so gracious and totally made our evening so special. We absolutely loved her. The food was amazing but we will be back to see her as soon as we can!!!!
Jill Bare
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Meril’s. The reservations were booked, however we were able to sit at the bar. The service was prompt and we enjoyed the food. The chicken was our favorite with just enough kick. We will be back.
Kelly Lee
The food was really great and fairly priced. We went for lunch and it was a true dining experience, yet didn't break the bank. From the moment we arrived we were treated as though we mattered. The varied items on the menu had my family taking our time to decide. While perusing the menu we ordered a cheese board which was amazing and also expertly plated. We placed our orders and the food was unique and so flavorful. I would highly recommend Meril's to anyone visiting the Warehouse district in New Orleans. We will certainly dine there each time we visit.
Tave Fitzpatrick
It can get pretty loud but it's still good for large groups. Then portions are small but everything I've had there has been great. Good place for eating tapas style if you'd like to do so. Plates come out fairly quickly so you can order as you eat.
Hether Alford
I love when a restaurant cares about the dining experience. If you don't like something, let them know. They want you to enjoy yourself and tell all your friends. Our waiter ensured the whole section had everything we needed and wanted. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in NOLA.
Jacques Hipplewith
Food was delicious! The menu seems to be a tapas style menu by the way it’s priced. Some portions are bigger than others. I would recommend if you go with a group, to share the dishes. The atmosphere is lively, and the music selection is excellent. Definitely want to go back and try some other items.
Kristen Hartman
Merils has been a favorite for years, and they should be a 5 star. Service has deteriorated, I assume, due to lack of available employees, as we are seeing in all businesses. We will wait a good while when unemployment is down to return. Hope to see them resurrect to 5 star again! The cheese plate and cornbread starters are amazing!
Margaret Carrizales
The food was really good, and eclectic. The menu had a decent selection with a good drink menu. We had to wait during a non-busy time for a table and it took a bit for our server to greet us. Overall, I felt it was a bit too pricy for what you got.
Gino Gisondo
I went for coolinary. The short rib was fantastic. My co-diner loved their lamb chops. Would recommend if you are in the CBD/Arts District
Tom Greene
Cool hip place - very good service and excellent food!!
Charles Conti
A bit pricey but the food is very good. The service is excellent.
Dana Hunter Fradella
Tonight was my second visit to Meril to celebrate my friend's birthday, and the restaurant and their team outdid themselves. Every dish we ordered was superb, and the serving team took time to recommend their personal favorites. They were extremely attentive, professional and friendly. And the birthday celebration is not to be missed! I rarely visit restaurants in New Orleans more than once because there are so many amazing choices, but Meril is at the top of the return list. Cheers!
Carlos P
First time dining here Friday night with my wife. Fun exciting atmosphere with great music. You can dress it up or dial it down, and fit in just fine. Staff, service, and food were excellent. Cocktails and dessert are a must. Thank you Miranda!
Joseph Santiago
We had a good time and food was good. Prices on the menu went up a lot from the photos in the reviews. Otherwise I would have given this 4 stars. I found it pricey, but if I expected that I would have not had a problem.
De'Nae Robbs
Loved it! Great service and pure deliciousness.
Tammy Roscoe
Good selection of appies. All food we had was excellent. Great service
Kristy JJS
I visited this restaurant for the first time this week during lunch. It is conveniently located in the Central Business District and has a nice atmosphere. The look and feel of the restaurant is very welcoming. It's a nice place to sit and chat and share a few small plates over cocktails. I just wished I enjoyed the food as mush as I enjoyed the atmosphere.
My friend and I had a few small plates to share for starters. One of the small plates which we shared was the Chrispy Turkey Necks. The turkey necks were tender but the sauce which they were placed in literally tasted like greese and vinegar. We also had the Korean chicken. The flavor of the chicken was tasty but it was fried at tad too hard for our liking. It was fried so hard that the chicken was a tad dry. The Fried Rock Shrimp Tacos were plentiful and had a good flavor. I also had the special for that day which was Drum with coconut rice. The size of the drum was a tad disappointing for the price. It was a small plate but at an entree price.. The drum also lacked flavor but the coconut rice and house made sauce was flavourful. Not sure if I'll revisit. Maybe for happy hour.
Que Chance
I'm an so glad I was able to experience Meril will in vacation in Nola. The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. You need to make a reservation in advance to experience this restaurant but it's well worth the money, time and effort to experience Chef Emeril's newest restaurant in the Big Easy.
Mike
After seeing great reviews online, my wife and I decided to try this place. The restaurant is right in front of our hotel and it was always busy so it never occured to me how mediocre this place can get. We went quite late at night so we had to sit at the bar. We ordered blueberry spinach ($10) and fettuccine nero ($19) for a quick bite. The salad was fine but fettuccine lacked flavor, a very little crab, pasta was a bit too soft and portions were small. The decor is nice so if you want to hang out in a nice atmosphere, this can be the place since drinks aren't expensive but I'm not sure if I would ever come back for the food. The service was just average as well.
Joshua Burns
Food is excellent! I dont think they do an adequate job of separating tables during this pandemic. We sat next to a table of 5 or 6 women who spent all night taking selfies. It felt like they were on top of us. Also the birthday celebration they do with a firework and cotton candy is cute but it feels like they do it every 5 minutes. Its distracting and when it's so often it becomes overwhelming.
Dana Parcher
While a super busy hipster, loud place on a Fri night, it was also delicious! We ended up sitting at the bar, which had full service, because the restaurant was full. But, we had amazing service and the same delicious food as anywhere else in the restaurant. I ordered the fries for us to share, and the papardelle with lamb and wings with gojuchang sauce as my meal, which, oh my goodness, both were amazing! The wings were sticky and thick and that right kind of umami flavor that keeps you coming back for more! The papardelle seemed like it consisted of homemade noodles and thick, rich, lamb. My friend ordered the mozzarella salad and the mushroom pasta with truffle and said it was really good! Overall, the restaurant is well worth it because the food was carefully constructed, the drinks delicious, and the service delightful!
jennifer Bradley
The food here can please any palette! There is literally something for everyone and the "small" plates are not that small, in my opinion. The vibe is upbeat and poppin! The service was spot on and the waiters attire was quite unique. I definitely recommend this place as a front runner when dining . Its perfect for first dates, as well a family gathering. Eat on!
Alyssa Carter
There were 3 of us, so we ordered from the menu family-style so we could try several things. We would definitely recommend the Patatas Bravas, Laotian-Style Pork Rice Bowl & the Meril Burger & the special dessert Tres Leches King Cake (our server even gave us 3 babies for each of us to take home)! The atmosphere is simple & inviting, & more laid-back then Emeril's other establishments, or so we were told. The service was excellent, friendly & very helpful in terms of what to choose from an extensive, amazing menu!
Adam Torres
Ok this isn't a review just for tourists. This is for anyone who for whatever reason hasn't been to this unbelievably great restaurant. Meril is definitely a must to hit up when in the city. The atmosphere is amazing and the food and service matches it. We have been several times and it has been outstanding every time. I strongly recommend the fried rock shrimp tacos, candied ribs and pork porterhouse. And for dessert by all means order the sweet cream and fresh berries cone!
Paul Hutchinson
Loved the food! The portions aren't very big so you can try many things on the menu in one go. Between the four of us, we ordered 7 different things and we loved all of it. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans!
Megan Stewart
Our waitress, Vicky, made the whole evening great!!
Really delicious appetizers, excellent drinks. Entrees were also great, with the exception of the swordfish. Lesson: stick to ordering locally supplied dishes. Even at a restaurant like this.
Laura McCarty
Food was amazing, atmosphere was great, servers were attentive. Overall a fantastic restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.
Ethan Smith
Great food, great staff. We even had a staff member break out in song to us. It was awesome. They were also very attentive, refilling or water quite often. The flat breads were amazing. I "fooled" my kids into eating alligator and they were never the wiser as it was just that tasty! :D
Bennett Cowie
solid joint, great food, great drinks!
Brandon Bagley
I really liked the location, and the two best things I had we're the nero pasta with crab & boudain tamale. The staff were great and drinks were also great. Rum punch. It was, however, quite standard food, nothing blew my socks off. Parpadelle was decent, crab balls could have been a little better, cornbread was good, and the fried oysters were also quite good. Great location, good is where the rating came from
Roberta Hoag
Myself and 3 of my best, lifetime girlfriends had Key and Shannon as servers and were absolutely terrific! Accommodating, witty, knowledgeable and efficient! The food was all we had hoped for and more!! We had such a marvelous time, noting this specific restaurant and experience as one of our most memorable experiences while visiting NOLA. We noticed other tables having this spectaclar cotton candy and sparkler dessert and asked how we could get that. Key simply said “I got you” and did just that! What a sweet way to make our experience so special! Thanks again for making our evening so special!!
Becky Barnes B
The red snapper with field peas was a daily special and excellent! While the meal service at first appeared slow until the manager came over, apologized for the wait, and explained the chef had not been happy with the first snapper to be served to us. Thank you for the update. Enjoyed the atmosphere and birthdays being celebrated with fireworks and cotton candy. What a show!
Wallace McKeel
Fantastic tucked-away spot with a deceptively large interior. More casual than other Emeril restaurants with perfect portion sizes and options. Great for large groups who like to share. Timing for food coming out of the kitchen is crazy-fast. Flavorful, inspired food where no dish exceeds $20. Cocktail list is delicious and well-developed. Will definitely be going back.
B. SANDERS
From the food to the waitstaff ...EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING.... "NATURALLY NEW ORLEANS", as Frank Davis would say. The prices were reasonable.
Negative factors were the table size, too small for a party of 4. We were seated in front of the open kitchen and the waitstaff had problems moving around those tables. Also, for peace of mind, I would suggest parking in a parking garage. Free street parking is hard if not impossible to find. ALL IN ALL, MOTHER'S DAY was wonderful. GREAT FAMILY AND FOOD . We will return.
Angela Adrian
Excellent food, service, and cocktails. Brilliant birthday treat.
Trey Buerger
Should be a five star rating but the service dropped that. We were literally fussed at by our waitress for having been sat at a VERY unstable table. She proceeded to "fix" it. We ultimately walked 10 steps to the closed bar for some napkins and sis our own stabilization. Host & hostess crew were unprepared for our party of four. Our favorite person who worked there was our food runner/table attendant. Food was OUTSTANSING!! Hats off to the BOH staff. Y'all made this dinner a success
Mark Zinter
I had probably one of the best meals ever tasted here. It was packed but just enough room to really enjoy a night out with friends. The staff was so attentive. I cant say enough wonderful things about this place. The atmosphere is incredible.
Mere M
Fantastic! But be aware that you are likely dining tapas style. I don't recall whether there were full entree options. The portions are small and pricy but cooked to perfection. To get the most out of the trip, go with a larger group. We had 5 so we were able to try very many things. Restaurant is relaxing, clean, and waitstaff are very friendly and attentive. I don't remember the names of all the dishes, but we loved the mushrooms, brussel sprouts, and chicken livers the best.
Zachary Roberman
Great experience! My girlfriend and I went for a light lunch which quickly turned into a full blown meal after seeing the delicious menu. We got the deviled eggs and rock shrimp tacos for apps. The shrimp tacos were phenomenal. For mains we got candied pork ribs, muffaletta Flatbread, shells Pasta, and Mexican style corn. Dessert brought a Blondie sundae with cookie dough ice cream. Everything we tasted was full of flavor and service was great! Can't wait to get back!

The servers and staff were super friendly, but we found the food very underwhelming. So many better restaurant options in New Orleans. Cool atmosphere though.
Kim Morris
Food was absolutely amazing, we had the best waiter, and the atmosphere was fun and super enjoyable. Love the cotton candy firecracker presentation, SO much fun! I love that this place was super chic and classy, but not stuffy and pretentious. Will definitely be back!
Sue Tang
Service was great. Food was okay. Nothing spectacular. Had the brussel sprout salad, lobster cake, clam linguine, swordfish with curried lentils and pecan pie. The swordfish was delicious and perfectly cooked. The clam linguine had pieces of meat in it and something tasted off. Like it was a little too fishy or old. I would not recommend. The brussel sprout salad had interesting flavours, but since it was cold, the sprouts had a wet/slimy texture. The pecan pie and lobster cake were okay. Overall, mediocre food, but good service.

What struck me the most when we walked in were the murals on the wall. Loved the crab and duck art work! We were seated in the back by the crab mural. The music was exceptionally loud. It was difficult to hear at our table and we thought about leaving. I am hard of hearing so when I say it was loud, it was loud. I love background music in a restaurant but this was overwhelming. We asked if they could turn it down, and they did, so kudos for that. Our meal was great....shrimp tacos, lasagna bolognese....all very good. I would go back as long as they keep the music down a bit.

Delicious! Very clean, cool restaurant. Cocktails were fantastic.

The food was good but the service was rather slow. This may be due to the fact that we dined there on Valentine's Day when the restaurant was rather busy but it appears that it could have been staffed better to accommodate the additional traffic. We waited an inordinate amount of time between courses and had to flag down another server to find our waiter to move on to the next course. Somewhat disappointed as we were a group of 8 and at one point, our empty plates sat in front of us for over 30 minutes.

The staff was amazing and super friendly, shoutout to Scotty and Taylor! The food was very rich and full of flavor as well. To summarize an otherwise extensive review, its one of the best places to have upper class food at affordable prices.
N.B: The staff do warn you that the portions are smaller than your average American diner but the flavors make up for it.

Steak slightly overcooked for my temperature preference but still had good taste. Great atmosphere, calamari delicious. Waiter was very knowledgeable about food on menu. I can tell through some comments HE prefers for you not to ask for changes because HE thinks its perfect the way meal designed. You have to be adamant with him if you prefer a small change like a different side item than whats offered. I wanted french fries vs the potato that came with the steak. I also wanted a dipping sauce for my appetizer and HE felt it wasn't necessary. I

Great food every time. Its loud in there and the service is meh (typical aloof hipster waiters who are barely better than zombies). But the food nails it which is why I go back. Lots of birthdays and celebrations so they can get the complimentary sparkler and cotton candy. So, tons of groups of loud ladies. Not a romantic place. Eat at the bar, its quieter.

Very good and interesting food. Great cocktails too.
Emily Puga
Happy hour was fab. We did drinks and apps. I would recommend sitting in the bar as dinner service for busy and we felt like we were taking up a table.
Mark
Was a little disappointed with this restaurant. Considering the prices, I expected a lot more. The soup was really good, the dessert was also delicious. Both my wife and I thought our main course was just okay. Nice atmosphere and the service was fine. But we wouldn't go back.
Eduardo Jimenez
Excellent service. Very hard to have a conversation very noisy and music playing. Food was delicious. Pasta dish very small serving (main dish) could hardly find the crabmeat. Also, food was not hot, flavor very good.
Pecan pie was delicious! I doubt will be going back in the near future!

Opened only 2 years on our visit. Prices are VERY reasonable! Who would've thought roasted Brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes would mesh together in a salad! 💯 percent did! Delicious! Everyone was satisfied! They'll tell you 3 sides because the orders are small, but they're actually reasonable portions. 2 should be fine! Great environment!
Marcus Nartey
This was one of the best restaurants I've been to. Tucked away from the French quarters craziness, this is a place the locals go to. The food was amazing, cocktails were superb and the staff were great!! Go there for your birthday celebration and you will get a large cotton candy!
Dawn Rosenberg
interesting experience, great food. I'm a huge bourbon fan and the No. 52 drink was outstanding. our waiter seemed like it was his first day on the job. I ordered the burger with a gluten free bun and told him I have a food allergy. when my burger came out I was very surprised/confused to see no bun at all. their gf option is a piece of iceburg lettuce. I don't understand why the waiter didn't tell me that's what I would be getting. the French fries are labeled gf but they do not have a dedicated fryer, not particularly safe for people with celiac like myself.

The server was excellent; above and beyond! Great atmosphere and a menu that makes it hard to choose. The short ribs were excellent. I highly recommend the dessert menu! Wish I lived closer!
Cho Yau Ling
Try the truffle cheaps. It's crack... We had to get an extra order.
Bob C
Food was great. Place is a little loud. But the most important thing you NEED to know is that it is a small plates tapas style. So if your hungry you will be ordering a lot of food, it will be good food but very small portions.
Casey Allman
Delicious food, cool atmosphere, and kind wait staff all combined to make dinner here a terrific experience. Surprisingly, the dishes were also moderately priced so we didn't leave feeling like we broke the bank.
Also, the best part: we saw Emril himself in the kitchen! So great. Will be returning soon.
Pillsbury Doe-Boy
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant and service. Have eaten all over the U.S. and Europe, and this place was certainly one of the best! Incredible dishes with fantastic starters to die for. Great flavors without all the sodium that many places pour into their dishes. Highly recommend and will be eating here again did for sure.

So much flavor packed into the food, there's nothing that compares
Renee Caughman
The service and the food are amazing. Your water will never be empty and all of the dishes we tried from the cheese plate to the bread pudding was well done and not over portioned. Great job.
George Lynch
Sat at the bar for lunch and found the service and staff very good. The food is less formal with smaller portions than Emeril's other places. High quality preparation with simple straightforward presentation. Prices are also reasonable particularly compared to walking into the French Quarter.
Jessie Inestroza
It was ok! Service was great food could be better.
Nicole
Between the prices, customer services , great food and a modern atmosphere; you really have no reason not to try Meril! I’m definitely returning soon.
Caroline and Lauren took excellent care of my family and I and they made our experience that much better!
Matthew Levy
Very happy to have discovered Meril. Overall, this is now my favorite of Emeril's restaurants and one of my new favorite restaurants in this area of New Orleans. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and casual. Looking forward to a repeat visit soon.
Nick Eck
Wonderful small plate menu. Excellent staff and service. Consistently delivers happiness. Rock shrimp tacos are a favorite. Try the lemon icebox pie for dessert.
Kassie Flesher Plessala
This place is amazing! I made reservations for my boyfriends birthday and let me tell you....Meril's did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, our waitress Shannon was incredible. She was friendly and engaging and so accommodating. The food was so delicious too! The Korean Fried Chicken was a hit at the table! I am in the service industry and I wanna say thank you so much to everyone at Meril's. Thank you for making his birthday one to remember Shannon!

Great ambiance & amazing food

My husband and I pigged out! Everything was freaking delicious!!!!!!!!! Shannon was GREAT! Very informative and sweet! She knew her stuff! My kind of gal! I know she probably was thinking to herself look at these two fatties! FYI neither I or my husband are over weight! But the the Food is amazing! You can’t go wrong here folks! Thank me later 🤤🤤🤤🤤
John Runnion
Awesome food but slow service. I had reservations but my table was 5 minutes late. While waiting at bar, it took 7 minutes just to get a bartender to give me a drinks menu, then another 7 minutes to order. After sitting down and ordering food, took 20 minutes to get food, which was awesome.
Ruth RH
OK, so first, let me say that the dish I had was quite tasty. I ordered the Fettucine Nero and I thought it was quite good. However, it was small (I did read beforehand that this was the case, so this was okay with me). My disappointment came in that the almonds overwhelmed the dish to the point where I could not taste the crab. I like almonds, so it still tasted good, but for the price, I'd like to taste both the squid pasta and the crabmeat. Also, the service was very slow and the bar was practically empty. I was practically ignored, but that's not unusual for a solo female in New Orleans.
James Ferrier
The menu looked interesting but the food itself was unremarkable. The menu was clearly designed with the best intentions, but probably executed by your off-the-street fry cook. The food was cheap but oddly portioned; the drinks were on par with anywhere; the ambiance was noisy and they played loud music to cover for the noise pollution from other tables.
Probably would not go back.
Dharma Gansel-Cramer
I cannot express how impressed the overall experience was. The service was fantastic and the food was very nommy. The burger is simply the best I have had in many many moons. I asked for blue cheese, they do not carry it, made it special for me!!
Anna Smither
Great Sunday brunch location. Masterful food. Fun vibe. Recommend the curry and the gumbo.
Rabindra Bhagwandas
OMG THE BANANA CREAM PIE WAS TO DIE FOR!!!! Highly recommend it!!!

Never disappointed! Food, COCKTAILS, and service always amazing! Our server, Texas is awesome! This is our go to for out of towners and for happy hour in Nola. Love the flat bread, corn bread, corn off the cob. Make a rezzy if you can. Can get pretty busy.
Jacob Ellwood
Oh let me count the ways about how spectacular this restaurant is: the vibe, decor, the starters, the mixologist, even the triple filtered water, the great service! Oh and I didn't even mention the food! Upside down cornbread, are you kidding me! We sat at the Chefs counter and was able to watch them prepare their delicious food. Tip: if you sit there your almost guaranteed some kind of free snack, we were given some cotton candy! I haven't had that in years. Just a fantastic experience during Mardi Gras!
Patti Jones
We were so delighted to find out about Meril's. My husband found it though Yelp. We're from Denver and had the BEST time. Our waiter Bradley was FANTASTIC!! The food was Great!! Loved the cornbread, tuna snack, cheese flatbed and the yummy bread pudding. We will tell all our friends in Colorado and hope they will travel to New Orleans for a wonderful experience. Thanks for making our vacation memorable.
Josh Asoodeh
Very nice place with great food and delicious drinks. The Caviar deviled eggs were amazing.
Dan Pevear
Debating between three or four stars. Loved the restaurant decor and wait staff. Flavor profile on food very good. My pasta with shrimp dish was heavy handed on the salt. That's a bit inexcusable in my mind. 3.5 stars.
joe Hyer
Great drinks, wonderful atmosphere, and tasty snacks. Excellent service!
Justin Cykler
Amazing place! Delicious food and cocktails.

Oh my, my wife and I were starving; first mistake everything on that menu was created by some mad scientist with a cooking fetish.. The wife had rigatoni, we are not Italian, that being said maybe we missed where it said the pasta was spinach. Might be a small thing too some for others not so small, I was happy it wasn't wheat. It was tasty and served the purpose. I ordered ribs and brussel sprouts, I strongly suggest you stay away from the brussel sprouts unless you like burnt, crispy vegetables; first they were cold, then they were just plain gross. Our server was extremely pleasant, however those people must clock like 30K in steps a day, they were flying through that restaurant. I know neither of us will be back it's not regular fare, it's an over priced, under whelming tourist trap. I wasn't impressed at all. 😒😒😒
John Kmetz
The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Our salad came out after our entrees so our server took the dish off our bill. Food was great, perhaps a little hyped but reasonably priced. We would definitely go again!
Dana Davidson
We had an awesome experience at Meril. The food was more upscale than a lot of the other restaurants we visited in NOLA. The service was great. We actually had two waiters so there was never a moment where we were waiting for one.
Lisa Lorenz
This is getting 3 stars for a few reasons. The 5 star rating would have been given just for the service alone (it was fantastic!). The food would have been 4 stars for flavor, but the portions and the price point for portion size bring it down to a solid 3. I'm not saying I wasn't expecting to pay a premium price since it is an Emeril "brand", but I was expecting more food for a $15-20 plate (think Tapa's sized portions). Again, food was good, not exceptional and we ordered 5 plates (so we could sample across the board).
Laura Fakier
Amazing food. Worked great pre-Saints game for Monday night football. Great way to share all courses family style. That way you never have to narrow down your choices! Don't miss the shrimp taco's or the tuna wraps or the.....well about the only thing that was meh was the tortillas. Too much corn not enough stuffing.
Shannin Moody
Tasty small plates and they even had high chairs. The place was huge! So they probably rarely have a wait. Excellent menu and two thumbs up. The only reason I won't give it a five is that their prices were high. Though the prices sorta matched the food (you're paying entree prices for smaller tapa sized portions but honestly they are perfect single portions and fantastic dishes I've been spoiled by sharing American sized plates so take this with a grain of salt). That aside when prices are high I want WOW service. No wow service but great food.
Mary Anne Barousse
Every time I've been here it has been five star. Meril is very popular, so not the place for quiet conversation. The service and food are top notch and the place has a fun, lively vibe. My friends are fans since I brought them here and have been back at least monthly since. Everything on the menu will not disappoint.
Ester
Amazing food and service! Very laid back and reasonable prices. Located in business district. Highly recommend getting multiple appetizers and sharing. They're all great!
jay hog
Really good twists on standard fare. Flatbreads are awesome. Unique drinks... A little pricey bc location but worth it.
Harry Morse
I've been to Meril not quite half a dozen times. The food is always very good; so is the service. It's a little like Peche - OK, a lot like Peche - only with a little bit darker colors and more meat than seafood. And a little bit more of an international flair.
Pastas: phenomenal. Wood-fired anything: outstanding. Only two notes. First, one of the shrimp was just a touch undercooked. Second, the pie crust on the pecan pie was truly bad. Bad as in 'with sustained effort, a spoon couldn't cut through it.'
Great place, though, for tapas, for happy hour, for lunch, for dinner.
anthonyet35
I ate here with a couple of friends. Two of us ordered the Crawfish Etouffee and it was very salty..The other spices in it were good..Just way too much salt. The fish dip and chicken tortilla soup very good. The service was good.
April Smith
The food was good the service was a little bit off-putting at times I understand that it is covid but if a customer is trying to speak with you with a masks you should do your best to try to understand what they saying or get a little closer because both of us have on mask not make the customer feel as if they have covid or the walking virus. But then have an attitude what your patrons not cool.
Amy Alexander
The food and drinks were both excellent. The service was quick and friendly. I loved the interior design here and the open kitchen view. Highly recommend, especially for birthdays!
Mark Craig
Fantastic food and service. Love this place!!
Dustman 84
Atmosphere LOUD! Not a great place if you want to have a conversation. But that seems to be the norm here. Food, Korean ribs no flavor, Brussels sprouts good, croquets very good, pork belly could have been cooked longer. Waiter very good.
Christina Mollere
EXCELLENT FOOD.🤤😍
EXCELLENT SERVICE.👌🏻👍👍
EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE.👍🙌😍
Prices are very reasonable for what you get.
Food ( quality and quantity) is always excellent and NEVER has a mistake. The food is like a masterpiece of art when looking at your plates.
Waiters introduced theirselves and are extremely friendly, like family. Waiters always make sure you are having a great time as well as making sure your drinks/food is excellent. Waiters can answer any and all questions that you ask them. Never had a question they didn't know. And they give you such great details.
I've been to Meril's numerous of times and I always refer people to go there as well.
Even when they are busy, it is definitely worth the wait ( 5 mins or 2 hours).
I've never had a 2 hour wait before.. just using as an metaphor.
Only bad thing is parking, but blame that on the city of NOLA. Limited Parallel parking (or nearest parking garage.)
Thank you!😍
Rachelle Fischer
The service was okay. Our first day there I had the shrimp pasta and it was to die for. Our second visit there two days later I was not as impressed with the food, but the service was a little better when we sat outside.
Daniel DelliBovi
Really enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken and Garlic Fries for my appetizer. Fettuccine Nero was my main course and was splendid! Oh, and get the Hummingbird Pie for dessert.
Will McCabe
Great casual dining!! The food and atmosphere are on point!! We had tasty cocktails at the bar until our table was ready, the variety of the menu was a good read and it tastes even better than it looked!!!
David Atwood
Probably my favorite non-cajun restaurant in New Orleans. Fantastic, unique flavors, bizzare pairings that work flawlessly, and pleasing presentations. Great service from a very talented wait staff. Insanely good desserts.
Kate Saling
We didn't make reservations, but were able to get seats at the kitchen bar. They were the best seats in the house! I loved being able to watch the teamwork in action to create some of the most delicious food I've ever had. The Saffron Pappardelle was more quality than quantity with still plenty to satisfy, while leaving room for my new favorite dessert: Pina colada ice cream served in a cone with a macaron on top. It was a special, so it's not served all the time. Our server was quick, funny, and informative. If I lived in New Orleans and had the money, I'd go here all the time!
Juliet Schindler
Very nice experience. Not sure that spring rolls should be on the menu nothing really added to this dish, but good none the less. Some items were not seasoned properly and could have had more love.
Fun, vibrant atmosphere, great hospitality.
Daniel Hermanson
I'm so happy we went here. Our servers were awesome. Cooper maybe?
The food was incredible, the salad was one of the best salads I've had. Perfectly dressed and incredible flavor.
