Reviews of LUZIANNE CAFE

Went into this cafe for lunch, when I walked in it was clean, decent music. The manager Alfred welcomed me soon as I entered by telling me some things about the menu. I decided on a burger because I was extremely hungry and he said it was very filling. He told me the menu was A La carte so I ordered some fries on the side as well. Best thing on the menu in my opinion. I tried our their tiger sauce on top and that was delicious as well. I’m from New York and next time I visit New Orleans I will always come get a bite to eat here. Food and people were exceptional.

It's a good and solid breakfast place.
I tried it in 2 mornings, each time they were right on the spot and providing a great service.
Place is super clean and that is wonderful.
Food is fresh and made on spot.
Only 4 stars because dishes are actualy small and if you'll compare then to competition one will understand they are quite expensive.
But good nevertheless.

Best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of chicken sandwiches!! The creole grits and pancakes were really good as well. Highly recommend this place. The manager was extremely helpful and very personable. He was awesome.

Absolutely wonderful! Walked in here on their opening day and were met with great food and wonderful service. The biscuits were freshly baked, soft and flaky. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The lattes were top notch!

I really enjoyed everything I ordered, especially the cold brew coffee and chicory. It was perfectly strong and just sweet enough. The biscuit sandwich had crisp bacon and was served on a really delicious biscuit. The short stack of pancakes was also a hit with everyone at the table. I’ll definitely be returning to try their lunch next!

Superb food. Large portions. VERY reasonable pricing. Staff very accommodating. Best breakfast fare we've had in the South. Breakfast served all day. Great atmosphere. Lunch menu too!! My wife and I are in town for an Investment Conference! Highly recommend!

This place is truly our biggest surprise-finding during our conference stay in New Orleans. We ended up have our breakfast there three days in a row, which says a lot about how much we love the place. It’s about 15 mins walk from the convention center.
The cafe is in a beautiful historical building with beautiful and a little nostalgic interior. We had pancake and calas for day 1. The pancake is the most fluffy and delicious one we ever had. We had poboy with beef, sweet beignets, and dirty rice for day 2. The dirty rice blow our mind. It’s so tasty that we got it again in day 3. We also had the savory beignets and chicken sandwich for day 3. Both are so amazing.
We highly RECOMMEND this place to anyone who travels to New Orleans or just happen to be in the neighborhood. It will amaze you for sure.

Awesome! What a lucky find. This place just opened and you can tell a lot of love and thought went into it. The entire place and facilities are clean and well kept. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an older diner in some ways. The owner came out and gave us a lot of attention prior to ordering that went a long way.
The menu is not complicated, breakfast and lunch all day. Even though there aren't a ton of options, the ones on the list are good and it was hard to choose. We had the double cheeseburger (delicious!), The Debris Poboy (great and reminiscent of Bahn Mi but from New Orleans), and the traditional Beignet (very tasty).
No complaints about any of the food, it came out fast, hot, and tasty. We Would come back here again any time! We even ordered two of the café bonbom because it was so surprising good. The wife loved it!

Wonder atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Absolutely amazing food. The pancakes are the best we've ever had. Great coffee.

Fantastic burger. The Dirty Rice is definitely unique to this place and worth coming alone. Same for the Creole Grits.
And finally here’s a chef who has a dark roux gumbo with the proper thickness and loaded with meat. Luzianne Cafe is a hit. Friendly staff and I enjoyed chatting with the Manager when he stoped by to see how things were going. The chef and manager are obviously well experienced in their business.

The creole grits and breakfast sandwich were delicious! Coffee from Honduras was one of the best I’ve ever had. I loved their costumer service and attentiveness.

Stopped in for lunch. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Love the atmosphere as well. Open dining room, well decorated and in the Luzianne brand. Food was great! Highly recommend the creole grits as a side. Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch with a reasonably priced menu, right in the CBD.

Holey schmoley—I’m a fan of a little sweet and a lot of spicy and these beignets were out of this world delicious.

Have been here for breakfast several times. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Recommend the Cajun Sunshine Beignets.

Been here twice for breakfast and once for lunch so far...breakfast here is good, no complaints. Made the mistake of coming back for lunch. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a cheeseburger and that's literally all you get on the plate- a lonely little sandwich or burger in the middle of a big plate. No fries, no nothing...we were still hungry when we left, after dropping upwards of $35 for lunch. Only drink is their in-house iced tea brand, so if you don't like iced tea, you're out of luck. This is not a local mom and pop place, it's a restaurant owned by a food corporation where they probably have an accountant peeking into the kitchen and monitoring how much food goes on each plate. But in New Orleans, where there are great restaurants on every corner, why would you send your customers off feeing hungry and disappointed? I guess they feel like most of their customers will be tourists so who cares, right?

Accidentally ended up here and we got greeted by the owner who is extremely friendly.
I was worried that it might be another fast food restaurant and yes it was fast but the food is outstanding. I ordered a second Cafe bonbom - really good coffee and I had a depris po'boy, my husband had the cheeseburger and we were so happy with our choices.
Would come back anytime!

Very good.
Try the chai.
Do wish for a larger selection of baked goods made by a heavy set happy grandma.

Great local place. In town for a convention and our group went for breakfast 2days in a row. Nice clean place and friendly people that take a lot of pride in what they’re doing. Highly recommend.

I have only stopped for coffee 4-5 times but still thought I'd write something. I own a transportation company so haven't had time to eat there yet but every time I've gone in the staff have been super friendly. The inside looks really nice and very clean. I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

Excellent omelet and biscuit sammy. Beignets were disappointing, flat and hollow. Spacious dining room.
Carrie Mess
Really enjoyed our breakfast here. Stopped for the beignets and I had some of the Cajun grits. The grits were so good! We also tried the calas beignets. They had a nice texture with a little bit of nutty flavor.
Spencer Kaup
I chose to throw the barista off and got an oat hot cocoa with a shot of espresso. I loved it, tasted well and the beignet was amazing! Sausage and hash browns were lackluster, omelette was great though!
I would visit here if you want a decent breakfast, prices were also pretty fair.
