Reviews of Galliano
Steven Rank
Nice little restaurant with a very friendly server. Our server Katie Was pilot and professional. I tried deep fried alligator for the first time and find some of it was a little tough and other parts were tender. But overall pretty flavorful the gumbo was fairly small portion but it was good. Had a baked potato that was way undercooked and cold. My personal opinion was that they overcharge for the quality of food.

I was nervous after reading the last review but I got pork chop and quality was A plus. Excellent with a surprise stuffed inside (not seafood). Cocktails were excellent too & the friendliest staff. If you don’t want to set a reservation you can order food from the bar. I was traveling alone & felt welcome … not awkward at all. All in all, it was worth it.

Reservations were made for 6:30 and we were seated promptly upon our arrival. Everyone ordered different meals and each of us left satisfied and full. Unpictured: The strawberry-basil martini was amazing!

Complimentary corn bread was delicious!
Service was amazing!
Smoked Old Fashion was magnificent!
Really enjoyed the dinner and atmosphere as well as the service.

2017:
Came for the convenient location and was pleasantly surprised.
I was pleased that you can get large NO oysters here at a reasonable price. They were excellent of course.
Corn and she crab chowder is a must. Very chunky, limited potatoes, lots of actual crab meat. Great flavor without being salty or over spiced. And it comes in a cool cast iron bowl that holds a surprising amount. Would order again.
Popcorn shrimp app was a meal sized portion for GF. The Cajun sauce that comes on it is great and the breading is light and crispy. Sausage was a nice touch and the vegetables compliment well. She claimed she wouldn't get it as a meal again, but I feel like it's a solid appetizer.
I was a little disappointed by the portion going into the roast short rib, but it turned out to be the perfect size. The meat was tender and the gravy was fantastic. Flavor was well balanced for everything on this plate. Nothing was overpowering or simple enough to brush off, and it was rich without being heavy. The dirty rice was excellent by itself and a perfect compliment to the meal. I Would order this again as well, but maybe try the pasta if you're starving or don't get appetizers.
GF likes bread pudding and I think it's disgusting. I actually kind of enjoyed the dessert here. Bread had a great crust and texture instead of just being soggy.
Price point is a little high, but it appears to be justified in that everything brought to the table had memorable flavor. Food came out super fast, the servers were pleasant, casual atmosphere but not too loud or bar-like. Mostly 4 tops but looks like they could handle a large party without too much trouble. I would definitely come here again.

Sister restaurant to Rebirth. Great raw LA Gulf oysters. Get them raw as the grilled were unnecessarily over breaded.
Seafood gumbo is not worth it as it only had some popcorn shrimp and LOTS of rice. Would have been awesome with some gulf shrimp and oysters like at Pêche
The double cut Pork Chop was excellently seasoned and cooked, though the tiger sauce reduction and cornbread dressing were WAY over salted. The Andouille sausage stuffed in the chop was neat.
Nice wine list but limited wines by the glass again
Rustic atmosphere but a nice long bar

Ms. Clair the bartender was amazing!
The food was great... Alligator will forever be my favorite 😍. I missed New Orleans so much. Pandemic held me back.
Look forward to coming back again - non work related - next month

Great service, very attentive. The drinks are very good and they have a nice selection. The sauce on my pork chop was delicious but the chop was overcooked and dry. Disappointing for a $40 chop. Also was served a cold baked potato.

5 STARS! WOW! From service to drinks to appetizers to entree, excellent all around. The BBQ Shrimp appetizer is enough for 1-2 people. A nice start to the meal. Custom cocktails set this place apart. I enjoyed a gin martini but I do recommend the lavender lemonade as well.
For my entree I ordered the filet mignon, which, to my pleasant surprise, came to the table on a hot plate! So it was sizzling hot like fajitas! It came with a side of butter salt and pepper and mushrooms onion and garlic.
Pro tip: because the state comes out on a hot plate if you are used to ordering medium perhaps order medium rare because the steak will continue to cook while you eat it. That is how hot this hot plate is! The ability to customize the flavor as you're eating with the mushroom onion garlic salt and pepper and butter made for a fun dining experience.
Friendly service all around great ambiance this is a wonderful place for relaxed fine dining a birthday dinner anniversary dinner or just to catch up with friends.

One of the best meals we have ever had! Start with a Sazerach cocktail. Make sure to have the gumbo and fried alligator. The sauces are superb. The bread pudding with ice cream is truly decadent.
Antonia Williams
Great service and atmosphere. The drinks were good. I had the mint julep and my husband had the watermelon pisco (he said that it was just ok). The oyster appetizer and gumbo were delicious! The oysters had a very clean taste and were perfectly seasoned. My husband especially enjoyed the trout Almondine. I had the seafood Lafouche. It was good- very flavorful. It was a small portion and didn’t come with sides. The bananas foster dessert was really good. Overall, the portions were small which I personally don’t mind. However, if you’re used to Pappadeux sized large portions you may be disappointed.

So glad we decided to have dinner here! The staff is wonderful. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and very kind. I had the strawberry rosemary martini and it was hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had in my life! The food was perfect and the atmosphere is great. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in New Orleans. I highly recommend the whole experience.

Not as many places are open Tuesday evenings so I felt good previewing the menu and previous reviews for this place when I booked with OpenTable.
*For out of towners like myself, you have to present your vaccination card at most all restaurants. We were surprised but luckily had ours.
A 6 pm reservation worked out perfectly as it wasn't that busy yet, just a busy bar and a few tables seated. We were seated at a table in the back which we prefer for people watching. Our waitress was knowledgeable and always appeared in a timely manner. Food and drinks came at perfectly appropriate intervals as well.
We tried the alligator appetizer, which came with a tangy red sauce which was delicious (ask for it on the side if you're not sure about it), and two slices of French bread with a Spanish olive/vinegar-y flavor of chopped olives and tomatoes on top.
My husband had the sparkling cranberry drink and I had the rougaroux which we shared. Both tasty.
We ate the filet mignon and crawfish pasta Monica. While there were bits of crawfish here and there, I felt there could have been more. It was more heavily just a pasta dish. The sauce was creamy and flavorful.
We both felt the filet grilled and brought out on a skillet like that is unnecessary. It will continue to cook while on the skillet, in case you prefer yours a specific way. We prefer the traditional filet on a plate without all the extra grill element, so it has time to rest.
For a nice dinner out with a lovely atmosphere and great drinks and service, this place is a good one.
Sikun
I love how they seared the salmon skin, so crispy and flavorful! Alligator just tastes like chicken, not tough at all
Ron Bedard
Wow!!!! Fantastic food, atmosphere and service!!! The pork chops and the grilled romaine fried oyster salad I will have dreams about for years :). Fantastic!!!!
Kendra Barnes
My food was good. I had the stuffed pork chop, with red beans and ok dressing. My girl had the seafood plate. She enjoyed parts of it. It is a bit pricey, but the service and drinks were exceptional. If in the NOLA, give them try before losing all your money at the Harrahs casino lol.
Selena Judd
The best pasta I've ever had! We went twice on our vacation in NOLA because it was so delicious. We got the chargrilled oysters, gumbo, Crawfish Pasta Monica, pork chop and the steak tournedos. Absolutely delicious. Will go back 100% next time we're in town!!
Lily McAtee
Amazing service! So funny, nice, and exceeded our expectations by 10000%. Food was out of this world and had wonderful presentation. Will definitely recommend to anyone coming to New Orleans!
Darryl Johnson
The menu was small but the food was great. The desert was out of this world. Get the bread pudding
Joann Amend
From beginning to end, the experience was above all expectations. The atmosphere is homey with a classy feel. The steak is melt in your mouth, the seafood is amazing. The pork belly appetizer is the right way to start and the chocolate mousse cake is the way to end. And don't forget the smoked bourbon old fashioned. The service, food and atmosphere is top notch.
Jamie Johnson
The bartender(I think her name was Claire) was awesome! Food was great!
Joshua Morales
The food is absolutely delicious here a 10 out of 10. The service is quick and the food is served hot. I would recommend the barbecue shrimp, the chef does a great job with everything I have tried here you really can't go wrong with any choice. I would definitely recommend a stop here for dinner or lunch real good food and atmosphere. Also an awesome drink selection too!!
Christopher Rasmus
Kind Staff, Nice Decor, Excellent oysters, very uneven kitchen. 2 of the 4 entrees came out cold, were sent back without much improvement, Pork chops were well done despite requesting medium. Crawfish pasta swam in sauce with very little seafood, roast chicken hot, seafood sampler was good. Staff was kind but did little to assure requests were fulfilled or that food was hot. Bartenders were delightful and cocktails were imaginative and well made. Manager was apologetic and offered we return for drinks on the house. Would have preferred they manage the kitchen so our $350 experience would have resulted in a satisfying meal and better review.
Shawn Martin
Pork Chop Galliano under cooked, dressing gritty and too sweet, red beans didn't taste like red beans (I know they weren't Camillias), the greens were too sweet, and tiger sauce nasty. I sent the chop back to the kitchen to refire and it was still under cooked. I think the food is over priced and I don't plan on returning.
I gave 3 stars because the server and manager was awesome. Also the cocktails were ok.. I have no complaints about that.
It was my mom's birthday she enjoyed her pasta.
LaTasha Jenkins
The food was really good! The alligator bites were in some kinda olive/tomato salad. It was delicious! The wagyu beef burger came with a bacon tomato jam that was A👏🏾 MAZ 👏🏾 ING... The chargrilled oysters were good but not as buttery as others we tried. I still finished all 12 of them tho Bc they were pretty good. …
Freddie Zeringue
Most incredibly accommodating restaurant with some of the best eats. As a Cajun I know Cajun prepared food. It was fresh, it was delicious without being overstated or cliche. I highly recommend this restaurant as a must experience in New Orleans. I can’t thank them enough for a welcome home dinner I will not soon forget. Staff was awesome which enhanced the experience tremendously.
Dino Karountzos
I loved this place. Great atmosphere. Food was phenomenal. We had alligator creole, char oysters, gumbo and seafood lefusche. Gumbo was perfect. Jazz our waitress was courteous friendly and the service was perfect. Can u give 6 stars?
Trent Allen
Stopped in on our last night in NOLA. Fantastic food and service. Large portions so order appropriately. Easily one of the best meals we had while here.
Yvonne Rao-Remy
My first night in NOLA the hotel told me to go here for authentic food. Dining solo, the staff made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed. Would be good for couples, friends, business or families with quiet children. Not wanting anything too heavy the chargrilled oysters and seafood gumbo were recommended. They were absolutely delicious! Made my first night a memorable experience.
Ms R M
We are here late after a long drive. The food was was good and the drinks were awesome. We ordered the ultimate burgers because we wanted something quick. It came with a baked potato. If you're looking for a spot with creative cocktails, this is it. It is a big on the pricey side. 2 burgers, 1mint julep and a coke was $59.
Stacey Campo
They have vegan biscuits! The mushroom gravy is delicious then they add vegan sausage and top it off with vegan mozarella. It's so good and something I missed eating :) great spot with some fresh vegan options!
Kathleen Freitas
What a surprising pleasant delight. Our waiter (not Jack Black) was engaging, funny and entertaining. Also the smoked old-fashioned was the best we had after being in New Orleans for 1 week. The osso bucco was to die for and was my husband's pork chop. Definitely a must visit!!!!
Jason L
Really good food, lovely ambiance, and fantastic service from the wait staff (including our outstanding server, Jazz, who's new to the job and did a wonderful job describing everything on the menu that we asked about, making some insightful recommendations, and just providing a delightful experience).
I'll definitely be back next time I'm in NOLA. Thank you.
Randy Swenson
Amazing service,Katie and the rest of the crew were great, attentive, cheery, and had the patience of a saint. Ribeye was grilled to order, and tender as can be! Great job to all of you!
Emmanuel Lawrence
Galliano was in walking distance of our hotel and was a great stop. The meal included a pre-dinner sampling on the chef which was great! The menu was not like the ones that appear online and was only two pages but those two pages were filled with great choices. We had the charbroiled oysters which were good, but did not compare to Drago's. The service was great and a energetic waiter who made the visit all the better.
Vance C
If you’re in town and don’t have dinner, or at least drinks, with Claire and Mr. Terry at the bar I promise you your trip isn’t complete! Great people, food, and atmosphere. Would give it more stars if I could!
Van N
Excellent food and service. They serve some really delicious Southern comfort food here. Everything is well seasoned and flavorful. I'd recommend the shrimp & grits or the blackened fish or probably anything here. The service is also friendly and welcoming. You can't ask for much more. We'll definitely be back
Dale Shover
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We had he grilled oysters as an appetizer and they were better than Acme Ouster House - my former favorite. For entrees the southern fried chicken and Cajun pasta Monica were outstanding. My kids had the fried catfish and loved it. The decor/atmosphere is especially cool. I like the red brick/wood combo and the large windows looking out into the neighborhood. The bar is beautiful. Very neighborhood feel and good service.
Debra Fries
Seriously the best meal we had in New Orleans ... the food was absolutely incredible, the service with Mike was top notch and the ambiance was amazing! The vibe here is super cool & If I lived here this would without a doubt be my go to restaurant!!! Five stars doesn’t do justice!!! This is a true gem!!!! Alligator, Duck Wings, Gumbo, Catfish and Sunday Pot Roast 😍😍😍😍😍😍

We made reservations for 7:30pm but arrived 30min early and were seated immediately on a Thursday night. They were busy so I reccomend making a reservation. The atmosphere was very relaxed and not "stuffy". Our waiter Paul was excellent. We had the popcorn chicken and alligator bites appetizers, both very good. I had the Sangria and my sister had the Moscow mule, both delicious. I had the special, Lamb, mashed potatoes and fried shrimp. It was excellent. Everyone in our party of 4 liked everything they ordered as well. Would definitely go back.
James Peck
Very friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is very chill. Everyone in our party of 7 enjoyed their entrees. The fried alligator appetizer was cooked perfectly and still tender in texture. This is the first time I have tried fried alligator where it was not tough and chewy. Seafood Gumbo was good, but the catfish with shrimp creole was amazing. The catfish was crispy and light and the creole was rich and hearty. We enjoyed our evening and hope to return to try other items!
Kevin Harrigan
Super friendly workers and delicious food. It's located right by the boardwalk and convention center.
They have a good selection of whiskey and other liquor. I got grilled and raw oysters, which were very good. I also good the gumbo, which was delicious. I'd definitely recommend this place
Burt Robertson
Don't be fooled by the name...Not Italian but great New Orlean / Cajun food.
We had a variety of items including Alligator bites which yes were delicious.
Staff was great and super friendly. They were also patient and helpful to our group of Northern Folk trying to determine what we should have.
We didn't order it but saw the Prime rib for two meal. It was at the table next two us and three grown men couldn't finish it... what amazing entree ? maybe it should be for a party of four !
Stacy Manweiler
Amazing!! I had their seafood platter and the BBQ sauce that the smothered the seafood with (not a traditional BBQ sauce) was absolutely out of this world. Atmosphere is small and quaint and comfortable. I sat at the bar and had a nice conversation with the talented bar tenders. This was the highlight of my trip to New Orleans!
P G
Overall a very good experience with the food and staff.
Good Times
Excellent food and excellent service. Gumbo, charbroiled oysters, fried chicken, smoked double pork chop....soo good! Easily one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Chef Tom, Charlie Brown, Bartender’s Fernando and Julio, Mike....keep it up🤙 …
Tom Vern
Great food and very attentive service. Ate here one night and came back after eating elsewhere to sample more of their menu. The portuons are generous; my wife and shared appetizers and entrees both meals. The char grilled oysters were definitely tastier than Dragos (where we also ate). Catfish and Pork Chop (pictured) earned high marks, along with the gumbo and chowder. Unlike the other restaraunts recommended, it had the feel of a local hangout. Service was casual and friendly while also very attentive and knowledgeable about the offerings on the menu. While certainly convenient to the warehouse district hotels and convention center, Galliano is worth the walk from the French Quarter for a great meal.

As seems to be the case with new orleans, the outside of the restaurant does not preface the interior. My friend and I stumbled upon this gem in our quest to find Cajun food close to the convention center. We reached early enough that there was no wait or need for reservations. We got 2 appetizers and a main to split between us. The duck wings came recommended, while I wanted to try the alligator, so I chose the alligator sauce piquante appetizer. The main entre was a blackened salmon on a bed of veggies. The appetizers trumped everything! So so so good. The sauce for the duck wings was beyond fantastic. I actually dipped salmon in it, while my friend scraped the remains off the plate. The alligator meat was fried, savory, the sauce spicy. The salmon was just as expected- blackened and crisp on the outside and melting soft on the inside. The complimentary hush puppies were great too! All in all, great experience, cute little restaurant and recommend it to any travellers to NOLA!
Lottie Hamrick
Claire was our bartender and wait staff extordinaire. We had a little of everything gumbo, oysters and steak all was delicious
SnowZero007
Great food! Josh is an amazing server plus the atmosphere was pretty chill as well!
Mike
After eating non-stop in NOLA, we wanted to just go for oysters and some drinks at the bar. We started with raw and chargrilled oysters and i got myself a beer flight which you can pick 3 for $12 bucks. Man. I really liked those raw oysters at ACME but I loved Galliano's oysters even more. I'm usually the guy who eats one oyster and call it a day but had to order more because they were that good. Chargrilled oysters had a nice seasoning to it and it wasn't heavy like some other places I went to in NOLA. We also had picked onion rings and those were epic. When is the last time you had onion rings and didn't feel sick afterwards. So flavorful!! The staff was fantastic too. Thank you for such a great time.
Rene M
Amazing meal complimented by some of the best service (ask for server Larry!!!) I have ever encountered. Seafood Coubion, Pork Chop La Place, Seafood Platter, Old World Tournedos, Chargrilled Oysters. All enjoyed.
Kevin Chan
Attentive server, delicious food, and reasonably priced in a very relaxed atmosphere. Had the chicken and sausage gumbo and the appetizer (could be an entree) Boudin with collard greens and chow chow. Both items were well seasoned and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.
Luis Hidalgo
Amazing, to be honest we have been in new orleans for a few days now for a small disconnect from new york city, this place and our waiter mike' which i have to say knows his stuff is full of great suggestion when it comes to souther food you cannot go wrong with this coner spot. From the pot roast to the duckwings, gator nobody complained nothing but great food. One thing i have to say is the gumbo is a must number 1 place for great gumbo. Thank you for a great time.
Alex S. Hall
My second time here and it was just as good as the first. I loved the chargrilled oysters and their catfish creole. I tried a New Orleans cocktail called a “sazerac” and it was way too strong for me so I stuck with my old faithful margarita, which was also strong lol. The customer service was just as good as the first time. Galliano is a must for anyone visiting New Orleans.
Crystal Hawkins
It was a busy night. We didn't have a reservation but was able to sit at the bar. The bartender was super nice and very informative she can make some really good drinks! The guy behind the bar doing the muscles was very nice and helpful as well about the menu. Everything we had was delicious!
Marcus T. Berry
Very interesting restuarant, its kind of open a little loud but not bad. I had the southern fried filet mignon and it was good. It came with some green beans and some red beans and rice that were excellent. My wife had the southern fried chicken and it was really good. A friend had the pork chops and he said it was amazing.
Joanne Heng
Amazing food! My server Larry was really pleasant and described the food perfectly! Will definitely drop by again if I come back to NOLA
tatiana zagar
Inviting casual atmosphere offering local beers and Enormous Oysters ( yum!) delicious corn and crab chowder served in a cast iron little cauldron Organic salad with Fig vinegret. So Good!
Katherine Barricklow
Amazing food, great atmosphere, get the raw oysters!
D King
The food was delicious, especially the appetizers and sides. The blackened fish is good, but not a great spot for fried food. I highly recommend the peach bread pudding for desert.
Brandon H
The food was the absolute best and every waiter and waitress was friendly. Debbie was amazing and Claire was an excellent bar tender killing it making drink after drink on point. If you don't make reservations you do have the option to sit at the bar.
Heeyyy Girl
I can’t even find the words to express how good this good is. The gumbo get like a hug from Jesus. I don’t know who is in the kitchen but every meal I’ve had from them was made with love. People might feel it’s a little pricey, but I promise you it’s worth every penny. Not only is the food so good but the staff is so so so nice. I would include pictures but my meals didn’t make it that long.
Harn Chiu
Good food, service, and prices. Wouldn't go out of my way, but might come back if nearby. Recommend the oysters and alligator tail appetizers!
Lindsay Rutledge
We had a large group for dinner and had a wonderful time. The service was fantastic, and the food was incredible. We were still talking about it the next day. Classy and comfortable, highly recommend!
Amisha Thomas
This time last year, my crew and I literally stumbled upon this restaurant only bc nothing else was open at that time. We were NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Everything was so good! I’ve read the bad reviews and am so confused bc I had such an amazing experience. So I guess u just have to go and find out for yourself. I’ll also be in NOLA celebrating some Leo’s again this year so I’ve already made reservations bc that Pork Chop Laplace was EVERYTHING!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this place from the very little to no wait time, to our very knowledgeable server, then to the quick food hitting the table then the TASTE !!!! Omg, the taste!!! The drinks were fabulous we had something watermelon (it’s been a year so I can’t rmbr exactly). All I have to say is I’ll be back.
Kevin Beckman
I ran across Galliano while looking for a bite to eat. Outside the door was a sign advertising their happy hour from 3-5 p.m.
I ordered two bowls of the chicken and sausage gumbo and a drink. For less than $15 I got a delicious midday lunch.
Also, one of the employees was shucking oysters right there at the bar, which I'd never seen in person before. He let me know how he prepares the oyster so it doesn't have any sand in it.
Overall, very satisfied with the service, food, and quality of my dining. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a healthy and tasty meal at a very affordable price.
Tiffany Fang
Food is REALLY good here. Def on my Nola recommendation list. Will come back.
Wendy Gallimore
We chose this restaurant based on reviews and the only disappointment was how the steaks are served.
We both ordered the steak and split two sides (asparagus and smashed potatoes). The steaks are brought to the table on a sizzling hot stone and they continue to cook and splatter grease everywhere. The steak was delicious. Mine started out medium rare and before I could eat half of it (and they provided a plate) it was medium well. I was lucky that I had my steak pushed far enough away that grease didn't get on my shirt. My husband wasn't so lucky. The grease may have ruined his expensive shirt, but we'll see. The potatoes were a little too spicy for me, but I did enjoy the asparagus.
Make sure you save room for dessert and make a reservation!
If you order something besides steak, I would definitely recommend the restaurant. If you do order the steak, ask for another plate or be really careful to have the hot stone far enough away that is doesn't splatter on your clothes.
Cody Boyd
Amazing service. Definitely very knowledgeable about the menu and the different spices being used. Great recommendation on dinner and drinks. Also had oysters and they were very delicious.
Lillie de Castro
WOW! AMAZING FOOD... TREMENDOUS SERVICE... WORTH THE WAIT! Dinner was great... I got red beans and bacon smothered greens! The best food overall that I had while visiting. I will be back when I come to town again.
Margaret Li
Nice spot for great food! Some items on the menu are a little expensive but the food is great. I ordered the Jean Lafite Gratin dip and it is delicious! Their oysters are huge and a dollar cheaper than other places. The shrimp and crawfish marque choux is also a nice side.
Ended up coming here twice since I was staying nearby. The bartenders are very friendly - great service. Highly recommend!
Chris Hansmann
I got the Chops encrusted with the tiger sauce. Smokey old fashioned to pair with it. One of the best meals I have had in a very long time!
Michael Hamm Fishing & Sports Card Hobbyist
I am a pickey person and very hard to fullly please when comes to food and flavor. If you are around this restaurant you will not be disappointed. The duck wings are amazing and a must, the filets, seafood and other items were fanominal.
Lori
Everything was pretty good. Went on an afternoon, not very busy. The hostess and waiter were both friendly, but whoever was at the end of the bar didn't seem to be (doing the books or something).
Irene Gutierrez
Had dinner there while visiting New Orleans, chargrilled oysters are amazing, pop corn shrimp was really good too, fettuccine wasn't good, it's served over bread wich makes it super heavy!
Loved the local beer and our server Jeff was great.
Reese Jones
Our table wasn't ready so we waited over 30 min (we were on time for a reservation). Waitress was good. Food was just ok
Gary Reber
Great local food, would highly recommend however make a reservation for more than 2 if you don't want to sit at bar. Earnest shucked the oysters right in front of us at. The bar and they are great. Chipino was great and staff was attentive.
William O'Leary
In no way was I unhappy about my meal here. I would definitely eat here again. They did some things really well and others not so much. I think it just tried to be fancier than it is. It's a great space and well laid out. Staff was nice and everything was reasonably priced, $100 for dinner and drinks for two.
They have too many specials which leads to long winded talks by the server. The special Cosmo wasn't very good but the classic Cosmo was great. They offered us sparkling bottle water and served it in a giant wine glass. However they didn't leave the bottle so it felt like you were being rationed water. I think if they just simplify a little bit it would lead to a much improved experience.
Lucia Hassell
The Louisiana shrimp was absolutely delicious and enjoyed the fried oysters! The gate was just okay, the batter on the gator wasn't as good as the shrimp.
J C
Very clean, excellant services and prices were not unreasonable. Food was very good. Oysters had just the right salty taste. I would go back.
Angelo M
Amazing grill oysters! I don't even like oysters but love these! Would have preferred softer bread to go with my meal but otherwise it was tasty
T F
Stopped in last night for a quick bite. Had the smoked pork belly. It came out quite hot in a cast iron and I made the mistake of burning my tongue. After waiting and sipping my beer the appropriate amount of time I was able to dig in. The smoke wasn’t overwhelming and the sauce went well with the noodles and cheese. The belly had good chew with a good amount of fat that hadn’t rendered off. I can only give two stars as my taste buds were a little singed.
Kaylee Sligar
Delicious place for dinner and walking distance from our hotel! Was able to get reservations for dinner the morning of.
Gabriel Unger
Nice place and decent food. Awesome bread. My fish was a little tough, and our server brought my aunt a third soda without her asking, which is nice except based on the bill, they charge for each one.
Rakesh Bhaskar
Excellent food including some of the best gumbo and BBQ shrimp I've had. After making a reservation, we showed up an hour early and sat at the bar. Cocktails were great and the bartender's recommendations were on point.
Messy MacNCheese
very good. good service. good food. had the seafood gumbo and was again very good and flavorful. food was out fast.
Betty Jones
Server was really nice and food was bomb. Atmosphere was great also. Good vibes, good food. Actually only got the side of jambalaya and that was pretty filling in itself! 😊 …
Vincent Sims
Great Service & Drinks but the food was trash. This place is located in a hyper tourist area, so the lack of seasoning is somewhat understandable but if you're a restaurant in New Orleans get the Red Beans right.. you didn't. The food highlight, cornbread, I know sad.
Gary Beach
These guys are under-rated at 4.5 stars. The greeter, Erica, was kind and hospitable. Our server, Josh, was great; focused on customers service and satisfaction. The whole evening was simply a great experience. Highly recommend.
Kresta Wilson
Randomly found this place a couple blocks away from the north end of the convention center while in between training sessions. Waited about 25 mins as we got there at a very busy time with other groups from the R+F convention, but boy was it worth the wait!
We ordered an appetizer of the Onion Ring Calas which was described as pickled red onion rings dipped in a calas beer batter crisply fried, drizzled with Tiger sauce & fresh herbs. 🤤 My mouth is watering now remembering how good they were with that tiger sauce! A little spice kick but not overpowering at all.
I ordered the Blackened fish of the day with sauteed Covey Rise Veggies (brussel sprouts, cherry tomatoes, broccoli & kale) and it did not disappoint! The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the veggies were deliciously prepared as well. Hubbie got the Fried wild caught Louisiana shrimp and he also agreed his shrimp were delicious.
Hubbie even enjoyed interacting with the owner over college football game day. Arrive before 2pm if you want to experience lunch at this place. Totally worth the wait, would love to revisit if ever back in town!

Amazing food hands down. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
Jennifer
The food and service are excellent! We walked in off the street, dressed very casual, and recieved 5 star, classy service.
Diego
The Seafood Platter is one of the single best dishes I have EVER had. Staff was friendly even though the Manager stopped at every table to say hi except mine. I didn't like that he did not stop at mine.
Stanley Lawson
Menu was true New Orleans. Seafood was fresh and very well prepared. Tori, our server, knew and understood the menu to the point she was able to recommended the perfect wine. She made sure our meal was a dining experience. Great food, service and quite place to enjoy all.
Stephanie Jones
Service was great. Loved the charbroiled oysters. But the rest (BBQ fillet tips, crawfish pasta, mushroom tower) left a little to be desired. Not worth the price. Sorry, I had high hopes.
Tammie Marie
The food is phenomenal! The entire staff is unbelievably connected. I have never been served by such a cohesive team. Thier culture is goals. Did I mention the food?!! Best meal in New Orleans hands down (and we ate at several places)!
Logemann Wissanee
This place is awesome!! We walked in here at 3pm and they were closed but they were very polite and gave us another recommendation. Because they were so nice we decided to come back for dinner and made a reservation for 9:30pm. It was really worth coming back!! The food is good and services very nice.
Grace Gam
Good service and food. I love oysters grilled and cocktails
Rob G
Tried the double stack pork chop one of their praised dish and unfortunately my meal wasnt cooked well. The owner was nice and apologetic taking half off the meal. Worth a 2nd try!
Sarah Coughlin
Great food, wonderful atmosphere and we got to try ALLIGATOR!! It was really tasty too.☺️ Thanks for the food adventure Galliano's!
Mark Gunn
Excellent food and cocktails, but expensive. The smokey old fashioned was definitely worth it, as was the salmon.
BIGGAME JAMES
Let me just tell you one so far it has been one of the best food and experiences in all my travels from Australia to Mexico to San Francisco and sandiego. Very expensive but quality will match it. The bartender and manager serve you like they were your friends. One of them did their own personal open mic night with Joe rogan's jokes. They have two ribeye steaks prepared differently and boy they are good and then dessert pumpkin bread pudding and bourbon peacon pie. And of course they have alcohol it's New Orleans. With a city with so much food to offer this has to be one if not the best. It is a must to have dinner here New Orleans. I hope they never change I plan to fly my whole family here just to have it.
jose zero
The food was great, and I see plenty reviews on that. I'd like to add that the service and atmosphere were great too.
There was a lively crowd dining but the sound level allowed for a normal conversation. Very enjoyable experience.
Taylor Rosales
For my last meal on my second vacation to New Orleans I went to Galliano and man was it worth it. I got the chicken fried filet steak and it was to die for. I ended the night with the chocolate chip bread pudding and it was one of my favorite desserts to date. The environment is friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommend!
Rachel Taylor
I have to say I was excited to try this restaurant as we are huge fans of Restaurant Rebirth. It was not a total bust, but not worth a revisit at all. Chargrilled oysters were good, seafood lafouche was also good (bbq shrimp was over cooked), but the fried green tomatoes were so thick and hard and the fry on them was soggy and the cheesecake appetizer needed salt so bad and was room temperature. I had the pork chop and it was literally swimming in sauce so bad that all the cornbread dressing stuff that was served with it was soggy and the fried onion rings were soggy. The pork chop was also incredibly over cooked and was hard to cut into even with a sharp knife. Pretty disappointing when I've most definitely had an amazing pork chop at Restaurant Rebirth. The pork chop didnt even look anything like the photos of it on the website! I think perhaps the great food from this chef is better served in a much smaller, more intimate atmosphere, this restaurant is much larger and I felt the execution on the food was lost.

It was refreshing to see Vegan options in a Cajun/ creole style restaurant.. Not only were there Vegan options but the options were absolutely delicious!!
Jennifer Matias
Made reservations and missed the exit on the way however they were very kind and still held the table for us. Hostess was friendly and seated us promptly. Our server comes over and tells us we have to order immediately even before taking our drink order saying had to order right then because the owner was in the kitchen and wouldn’t allow another 5 minutes or we couldn’t eat. They were out of at least 3 dishes on the menu ask. We ordered oysters to start which were delicious and then our entrees arrived immediately following thisThe drum fresh catch was perfect the grits maybe the best I’ve ever tasted but my steak ordered medium rare which is served on a sizzling cast iron tray was all but well done even before I could eat half of it The waiter seems disturbed I asked him to removed the cast iron dish so I could keep the steak on a plate. Also they were out of lemonade not a big deal but odd being a fountain drink. Dessert was also very good the bread pudding . All in all the food was not disappointing but more so our serving rushing us to order within 1 minute of my party scooting their seats in to the table while tables around us got to order at their leisure still putting in dinner orders as we ate our dessert. I don’t know if he was trying to get out early or did not want to be there but it kinda ruined the experience we were aiming for as a birthday dinner on our trip visiting here from florida. I feel in a tourist based area servers should understand people are on vacation and being rushed isn’t usually what a vacation is about !!
Liam Smith
Very good fried alligator (as well as everything else).
Ada W.
Delicious food, definitely worth checking out
Ivan Varnado
This restaurant is officially one of my favorites. The 8 oz. Filet topped with jumbo shrimp was served sizzling the entire time I was eating. The oysters were awesome raw and charbroiled. The gumbo was on point, the bar selections was top shelf and the owner comped this chocolate layered cake. Yes lawd!
miley Kilts
Food was amazing! Quickly sat at the bar and had the BEST conversations with the oyster shucker!
Oliver Asberger
The craw fish pasta was excellent. Was there at lunchtime and restaurant was empty and that's not surprising when one looks at the menu and prices. I recommend to go there for dinner.
Richard Bachman
Walked in off the street, didn’t have a reservation, and felt super underdressed lol. They seated us at the bar and the food was fantastic! I got the pork chop, and though I wasn’t a huge fan of the sweet sauce, it was still very good. The red beans were great, a little spicy and delicious with the cornbread. I can’t recall what my husband ordered, but there was shrimp and fried oysters. Super fresh and yummy, but I def feel it’s overpriced.
Amber Figueroa
Pleasant, clubby ambiance, excellent selection of spirits and cocktails (I haven't seen such an extensive list of tequila offerings outside of Mexico), tasty Louisiana fare. Probably the most tender alligator bites around, but there are more conventional offerings for the squeamish.
Phillip Stewart
Amazing place. The staff is very helpful. Try the duck hot wings!
SamuraiNola2021
Absolutely beautiful place! Great music and soothing atmosphere for quiet, intimate dining with the wife or family.
The Ultimate Cheeseburger was amazing and it come with a huge baked potato that sets it apart from other places.
I enjoyed my experience here.
Hilary Poriss
I had the stuffed pork and the smoked old fashioned. Next-level good.
Raul De La Rosa
Excellent service, super great food.
We will be back.
Brett Fahs
If your in New Orleans, the Galliano Restaurant is an absolute must. Fantastic cocktails and pure New Orleans style cooking, I can't wait to get back there! As well the staff is incredible!
Alyson Dinca
Excellent food, attentive wait staff, and a fabulous taste of New Orleans.
Shari Michael
Great food, great service and great atmosphere! The Seafood Platter is excellent!
Julia Moluf
Place was delish for a good NOLA dinner!
Olivia Lee
Super delicious! Best in NOLA.
Chad DeGroot
Amazing restaurant with a wonderful vibe and feel. The bar is stocked with everything a real bar should be. A broad and unique selection of whiskeys, rums and vodkas that need to be experienced.
Now for the menu... absolutely amazing!! I recommend the crawfish and seafood pasta monica, word do not do this dish justice.
Definitely make a point of having dinner here
Ed Nope
Easy-to-find given the corner location though street parking, even on a weeknight, is practically nonexistent. Menu offerings are not for those with a big appetite, or a small wallet, as you are paying as much for food presentation as you are for food content. So it comes as no surprise that the entire menu is ala carte. Service is friendly enough, and professional, but once again the emphasis is on presentation as the server will basically recite the entire menu as required by management while customers gaze on as if in a trance. Food is tasty enough but plan on going home with a relatively empty stomach as well as an empty wallet. Seems this restaurant is more for professional food critics than it is for the average person looking for a good, filling meal for a reasonable price. I cannot recommend nor do I expect I will ever be returning.
Cameron and Amanda Lee
This place has a pretty cool vibe. Great bar and food. I had a smoked Old Fashioned that was awesome, and perhaps the best filet mignon of my life... perfectly cooked medium with only salt and pepper for seasoning and with a chimmichurri sauce on the side (and served on a hot skillet to keep it the perfect temperature) just fantastic.
Jennifer Stewart
This is by far the best restaurant that we ate at on our vacation in New Orleans. Hands Down. I am still thinking about the pork chop and wishing I could have it again, it was the best pork chop I have ever eaten. The service was wonderful, the staff was friendly. We had a great conversation with the oyster shucker, who gave us wonderful places to see in town. We will recommend Galliano's to anyone we know coming to the area, and plan to come back as soon as we are able to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!
Jennifer Walker
Had the BBQ Shrimp, Pork Belly, Gumbo and Fried Green Tomatoes. All excellent flavor and appearance! Staff was friendly.
Frederic Garcia
Service at the bar, along with the staff, was amazing. Coming back soon.

Went the last night we were in NOLA. Wanted something within walking distance from the hotel. We were exhausted from the week and just wanted a good meal without a lot of effort. Wow. We were not disappointed. Small place; chill with a few tables and a long bar. Busy for a Monday night, given all of the things going on at the convention center (including our own). Thankfully, we didn't need a reservation to eat at the bar. Cody (hope I'm spelling his name right) made the night even better. He was full of energy and very attentive. I love it when people seem to really enjoy what they do and are especially good at it. Amazing service. We did raw oysters, drinks, meals (I had the seafood platter and he had the pot roast), and dessert (bread pudding). It was comfort food at its finest. Highly recommend it. Larger parties might want to be sure to reserve ahead of time in order to ensure getting a table.
Stephanie Artzner
We dined here on our first night in NOLA and it was such a great experience. The service was wonderful and the food was even better! We met the chef and he gave us some awesome suggestions on things to do on our trip and asked us if we’re celebrating anything, we told him it was our anniversary and he later brought us each a glass of champagne on the house! My husband had the blackened fish and I had the vegetable pasta, both were perfectly cooked! I can’t give this place enough stars!
Anthony Gordon
Passing through NO, and staying locally. Restaurant was empty, which is a sad by-product of COVID and hurricane season we understand. We were warmly greeted by Amy, our very helpful and knowledgeable server. We enjoyed the oyster in garlic starters that were wonderful. The Gumbo was excellent ... there is a full crab and yes, there is a lot of meat on that crab, all for a very modest price.
Charley and Amy made us feel at home and the service was great.
We hope more folks will come down and enjoy the great food and service.
Christina Renteria
Was really excited to try this place as I read a lot of great reviews. We went in hoping to get a table and there was nothing available for the whole night it was all reservations which was a bummer. I didn’t read anywhere that you need reservations! We did find a table at the bar though so it worked out. My husband got the catfish and really enjoyed it, and I got a vegetable pasta. Mine was really good, until I found a piece of plastic in it. Mistakes happen, so I just let the waitress know and she got a new plate going. The new plate came out and everything was delicious. Really great staff as well!

Awesome place. Great service. The whole staff was so easy going and hospitable. We had a party of 13 for my sister's birthday. Every dish was excellent. The steak was humongous! Excellent drink selection. We ordered a variety of mixed drinks and everyone enjoyed them. And the Deserts!!! They were very attentive to my sister.Thank you for making my sister's birthday such an awesome experience.
Victoria Henricks
AMAZING service!! Cannot say enough! My family dined here for lunch with my 2 little boys (one who is 12 months old and very active). The staff there was so completely warm and did not seem annoyed with us taking up so much space (stroller, high chair, and all our stuff!) The chef even came out and said hello and personally cut him and my other son up some apples and was just overwhelmingly kind! The food came out hot, quick and was so delicious!!! The wedge salad had a great twist and the chargrilled oysters were amazing! And the wine list was fantastic. My dad got the beer flight which was great too. It was a perfect stop and highly recommend!! We will be back!
Jaunita Williams
The bartenders were wonderful as well as the drinks 🍸 😍 👌🏽 ❤️
Nathan Bellows
After two days of eating the New Orleans cuisine and not really being too impressed, I was so thankful to have found this joint. The food was so delicious!! It was so refreshing to eat a meal that brought a smile to my face! We were all happy with the service, the food, and the prices were reasonable!! Highly recommend!
Haneen Khreis
Nice atmosphere, great service (although it was so busy and we had to wait maybe 20 minutes to be seated at our pre-reserved table). I got the civeche of the day and the filled mignon. Food was good but portions on the smaller side. The sister restaurant of this one is Restaurant Rebirth and I had a nicer experience there. The bar staff were great though and accommodated me not drinking alcohol very well.
Mark Woollums
We ate here a few nights ago. Service was excellent. Contrary to a couple of reviews, I found the wine list to be pretty good. They were busy and noise was tolerable. I thought the food was very good. I had the double pork chop. Let me tell you, if you order that, have an appetite. You'll be in for a fight to the death. Delicious. My wife had the catfish and enjoyed it. No room for dessert, so can't help you.
There have been some comments about the TV's. Wife and I like glancing at a game from time to time. In addition, they just didn't really seem obtrusive. The bar looked like a nice place to hang out.
Prices quite reasonable for the area.
Adwoa Kankam
This food is very tasty and flavorful ! It’s a hit !! When you come, ask for Katie! She is an amazing and knowledge waitress! Tell her the girls from chicago sent you! We got a chance to speak to the manager Manny and he was so down to earth.
Sherri Redmon
Pork chop was amazing!! Arancini was yummy! Split the banana foster bread pudding for dessert! You're welcome!😉 …
Justin Powell
An amazing place. I highly recommend. The steak comes out on a hot stone, and is a really special experience. Carrot cake was tasty as well.
Will Johnson
I LOVE Galliano's and I will definitely return. I had the seafood platter and my husband(vegetarian) had the portobello stack and yuca fries with chimichurri. We cleaned our plates. That was the freshest and most perfectly cooked seafood that I've ever eaten. My husband said the portobello stack was on point as well.
They have many cool cocktails. I went outside my comfort zone and tried the Smokey Arroyo(I hope I spelled that correctly). I want to try it again with some appetizers.
Special thanks to the staff who worked very hard to make sure we were happy. They seated us without a reservation and then brought us fried risotto bites while we waited for our food.
Maicy Downton
Food was excellent! Definitely one of my favorite places I tried in New Orleans. My boyfriend and I were able to split a seafood platter while also getting some gumbo. Wasn't as busy when we went and it was nice to have some breathing room compared to other places.
Vanessa Reinke
Our waiter was great- super friendly and helpful. He made us feel at home and let us take our time to enjoy our food. The raw oysters were perfect and my whole family enjoyed their dishes as well. I would defintely go back!
Danelle Harrison
Had dinner here while in New Orleans. There was a group of us and the staff was hospitable. They allowed us to celebrate and they were on the money with our food. I had the prime rib which I shared with a friend and it was perfect. The drinks were good also. No complaints. Our entire party was satisfied
Jamie Black
Went on a Saturday night for dinner and immediately Sat at the bar. Great bartenders! So laid back, polite, and attentive, but not overly pushy. I ordered the blackened fish of the day (turned out to be swordfish) with veggies. Oh My Gooooodness! So delicious. fresh, and fabulous. I loved the Bourbon Iced Tea and left feeling very satisfied. For me alone, with a 20% tip, my bill was $50. $28 for the fish dinner and $9 for the cocktail plus taxes and tip.
Lisa MPB
Such a fabulous dinner! Our experience with Mona Lisa our server was excellent. She was spot on with her recommendations and as a result we had awesome food. Hats off to the chef!
Carolyn
I was pleasantly surprised by our meal here. The best red beans and collards I've had, and really tasty fried chicken. Charbroiled oysters were BOMB - a little pricier than you'll find further from the quarter but worth it (fresh oysters are $1 each at happy hour and charbroiled are 6 for $10 or 12 for $20). Left full and happy.
The place was empty when we arrived at 5:30 but by 6 it was pretty much full. Recommend a 5:30 reservation for the best service.
Lou Herout Hicks
I really wanted to love it, but they were understaffed, the bartender wasn't very friendly at all, the menu was pretty interesting but I was disappointed in the food.
I ordered an appetizer for my lunch, it was basically brie with a tomato jam, it was beautiful but not very flavorful. I don't understand why, but it was approximately the temperature of lava (extra unnecessary since brie is so soft) and burnt my mouth really badly and turning the hard crostinis into a belt sander, so the rest of my trip in one of the culinary centers of the country was spent without being able to taste anything at all.
Sylvia Brayton
Great food in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Fresh seafood platter was fantastic. The shrimp was sweet and cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed our server. Very personable and made great meal recommendations. Make reservations for a table. This place is popular, especially on weekends.
Graham Mason
Simply outstanding! Was in New Orleans for a conference and we had to go twice, after loving it so much the first time.
The owner (Richard, I think) was fantastic - very engaged with the customers and also cooking another night. Our server (Katy) was brilliant with us on both occasions and her recommendations were spot on.
Tried 3 mains: Cajun Prime Rib for 2, Southern Fried Chicken & Pork Chop la Place. All were amazing! Bring your appetite regardless of what you have, but especially for the prime rib! Appetizers and desserts were also lovely.
I could eat here every night! Make sure to check it out. I hope to be back in New Orleans one day to go again :-)
Alyssa Carter
Always wanted to taste true Cajun cuisine and my chance finally came when had a business day in New Orleans and at only a 100m from the hotel Galliano Restaurant was a God blessing. Friendly bar atmosphere, an inspiring menu and tasty food that felt like home cooked. I liked the Gumbo and the Shrimp n'Gritts, and the Fried Pudding was a nice culinary surprise. I definitely recommend to try a meal at Galliano.
Tina Garcia
This place was fantastic. Service was top notch. We started with the grilled oysters: presentation and taste was great. We tried the short ribs, vegetable plate and smothered chicken. Everything was fresh and home cooked.
Rebecca Klasson
Wonderful experience dining here. Came by myself for dinner and ended up with a fabulous meal, a full belly and a few new friends! The bartender was amazingly helpful and helped me navigate my entire dining experience. I tried new things and enjoyed every bite! Tried the char grilled oysters, she crab soup and pasta Monica! My inner fat child is doing a happy dance! 😂
Chris Cordes
Excellent food. Went there with a group of 8 people. Of the 8 dishes, apps and drinks only one dish was so-so, the rest were amazing. The collard greens were quite possibly some of the best I have ever had. The service was fine to good, did not take away from the meal or really enhance it either. Overall highly recommend it, it was a great place. The food really spoke for itself. Looking at other tables, everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and everything looked very enjoyable to eat.
Behnam Enghiad
I came here on a busy lunch time. I had to wait for 10 min to get a seat. There was no wait list and no one directed me to my seat when it got empty. The food was good. I had raw oysters which were fresh and catfish creole which was nice too (I loved the sauce). I would've liked to give 5 stars but the service quality was not there.
J S
Kitchen was a little backed up when we went which wasn't a big deal. Service was really good and friendly. My biggest complaint was that I felt like the serving sizes of the entrees where much smaller than they should have been for the price.
Stephen Manuel
Service and food was very good, we had the ribeye for two. It did get a little noisy near the end of the evening, but a great Neighborhood Restaurant.
Chris Snelgrove
We had an excellent meal here, great creole cooking and a good selection. Service was good.
The only complaint was that a lot of tables were reserved and not used the whole time we were there (over one hour). Originally told there weren't tables available but eventually given one.
I know this happens at other restaurants but I think they should open a table if the dinners are told they need to be clear by a certain time and also cancel reservations of they don't turn up within a specific time window.
Didn't spoil our enjoyment, just an observation and recommendation.
Satia S.
I’ve been to NOLA 3 times and eaten at many $$ - $$$ restaurants. This is the second restaurant out of all those to make it into my “must repeat” list. (The other is Bon Ton Cafe.) Everything we ate at Galliano was excellent, and better than the $$$ the night before. We had raw oysters and gumbo to start. Seafood Platter and Blackened market fish. We tasted each others’ entrees and both were impressed by the flavors, texture and attention to detail. Great, friendly service. Definite repeat!
Ana Temu Otting
Loved it, tasted fresh and deliciously seasoned! Great place to east if you're at the convention center and need a sitdown getaway.
Prasad Sawant
Very lively place. Good food and superb vibes. Char grilled oysters is must try.
Caleb Hunter
The food is pretty good, nothing to write home about. The service definitely leaves more to be desired. I waited at least ten minutes before getting water, and slow service followed suit thereafter. The prices do not match the food or the service, if they're going to charge a lot for food, the experience should be on pat. The atmosphere is nice and rustic, and the food is decent. A solid 3/5 establishment.
Beargirl69 Hippiechickin
Wish we could have gotten back here. We ate here, the first night. Terry, our server and Doug, manager, were both friendly and helpful. I regret, we didn't get back for, the prime rib for two. We plan to come back! Promise! We came in, at the end of a very busy day. We had blackened fish, excellent and southern fried chicken. I wasn't happy with my chicken but wasn't making a big deal of it. Terry and Doug could tell and were nice enough to remove it and offered to replace it. I wasn't about to make the kitchen cook. I owned a restaurant, so I'm sympathetic, to days like they had. Impeccable service and attentive to customers needs. I thank you for your kindness. Hard to find that these days. Everything else was delicious. We will be back soon. Dying to try that prime rib.
Brad Tebbs
Wonderful! Would recommend Lafitte Gratin w/ crostini. Ordered the prime rib for two, it came out perfectly medium rare, excellent flavor. I don't recall the waiter's name, but very prompt & friendly. We waddled out of the restaurant completely satisfied. Will return again when in New Orleans.
Guate Malan
Overpriced for meal, portions and service they give you.
Christina Taylor
Most of our food was delicious. The catfish was light and delicious. The stuffed fish, fried alligator, boudin and filet were perfect. The country fried filet was so-so. But the atmosphere is so great. Our waiter Terry was helpful, entertaining and so sweet. My 12 year old asked him where she could go for dessert to get a candied Apple, he said he’d think on it. The chef then came out with a Granny Smith Apple, some caramel and a blow torch- made my daughter’s night. Great dinner experience for friends and family!
Jared Biddy
Great atmosphere, staff is incredibly welcoming. The food...... amazing, my fiance and I were truly taken back. We got the alligator app, then fried catfish and a shrimp Po' Boy. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the sauces were outstanding. We're here for a week and this is the first place we tried, the problem is I want to try a bunch of places but I'm afraid I'll just want to keep coming back here. Plus they have a huge drink menu with local beers. Oh, and they play great music. If you're in NOLA, this place is a must.
Eddie Mack
Great restaurant just south of the French Quarter. Probably the best value for the money. The food was fantastic, unlike most of the touristy spots around town. The service was also top-notch. I highly recommend getting the bread pudding for dessert too.
Kayla B
Richard and his team gave us a warm southern welcome! They gave us sensational dishes to try! From the greens to the gumbo to the hush puppies! All tasty! As well as a great beer and adult beverage selection! Me and my folks were all pleased with the food, beverages, and service! Very fast and sharp! The folks there know what they're doing! I def plan to come again!
Stacey Davies
Amazing food! Out of the 6 days in New Orleans this was by far our best meal and service! We asked Brett our waiter to order us a 3 course meal. He nailed it! The chowder, gumbo, oysters and crawfish pasta were all so good!
Matthew Cummings
Galliano is awesome! My wife and I ate here twice during our recent stay in NOLA . Jackson the bartender was super friendly when we sat and ate dinner during the Super Bowl. Amy was our waitress the first night and show excellent service. Pork chop, duck wings, and shrimp and grits were delicious
Courtney Kleiber
The oysters were delicious and the steaks were on point! BUT avoid the gumbo, it was very disappointing, barely any contents- I only had 3 shrimp with rice in my bowl.
Chris Yelvington
The food was very overpriced for the actual portion size and quality of the food. The Crawfish pasta ($26.00) is not great (nor are the red onion rings appetizer). Our server Rory was fantastic however and the other food around me was good (Pot Roast, Steak, Pork Chops all seemed like a hit).
Would not come back. Food was too overpriced.
Doc Cheramie
I found most of our experience excellent. The chargrilled oysters were delicious. However, the redfish that came with the grilled Golden Meadow entree was overcooked and tasted burnt.
Judd Wheeler
My waitress, Amy, is wonderful and helpful. The presentation of the food is fantastic. I had the crab chowder and crawfish pasta. Both were good. Fantastic flavor combination but was expecting more of an explosion in my mouth. That's why 4 and not 5 stars.
Ben Furco
Holy cow is their gumbo amazing! My wife had that and the bacon wrapped filet, which was also on point. I had the fried catfish and that was very delicious as well. We finished off the dinner with a wonderful white chocolate bread pudding and I can honestly say it was the best dinner we had all week in New Orleans.
Melissa Rosochacki
This was so exciting! Our server Larry was phenomenal. The onion rings use pickled red onions! I went with a large party and everyone had a great meal. The seafood platter included lots of my favorites.
Daniel Stewart
5 stars all the way... best pork chop I have ever had, Terry was a awesome Oyster bar tender! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Teressa Phillips
In town for a conference and decided to eat here since it was within walking distance of my hotel. I ordered the panko crusted pork chops and they were delicious! The staff was friendly and the place had a nice vibe to it. I'd definitely eat there again.
Aman Pooni
The food here was amazing. We were a group of 9 here for Wrestlemania and ordered a variety of food. It was all so good, I regret ordering the Filet Mignon because every other dish was better! Not often you can say that. Definitely a must visit. Try the gator and pork chop. Amazing.
Francisco Candal
For starters, the onion rings had a delicious sauce. The pork chops were hughe and perfectly cooked. It had also a great sauce. For desert, a peach cobbler with ice cream... Couldn't stop eating it. Strongly recommend
Kara Kegley
Went here for late night food. Had a good cocktail and enjoyed the alligator. The group of us split their oysters, tried both raw and chargrilled. Both were great. Only downside was the serve was a bit crass, but meant well.
Richard “The Food Doctor” Guthrie
This place is amazing! Gritty with a down home feel, I presumed a lot of locals come here. The staff were great, from the host to the bartender, the server to the "oyster shucker" as it said on his hat, everybody has each other's backs. I think this is important in making patrons feel welcome, which I sure did. I had a beer flight of local brews, and the seafood platter. Sooo delicious. Dessert was a tough decision, but I went with the white chocolate bread pudding. Again, phenomenal. I will be back!
Ben Edwards
One of the best meals we had during our stay in New Orleans!! Our waitress was awesome. She helped us make our dinner and dessert choices and all 5 were excellent. I would definitely go back.
John R Deller III, RRT
Please get the pork chops. They were just amazing.
James Rosenzweig
I had an outstanding lunch here - it was a short walk from the convention center, and the service and food were both excellent. I had their oyster po' boy and a side of jambalaya - the jambalaya was tasty if a little less spicy than I'd hoped, and the po' boy was the best I've had in New Orleans. That combined with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly, responsive service made this a great experience - next time I'm at a convention in New Orleans, this will be my designated lunch spot. :-)
Amy Hutchinson
Service was wonderful and the chargrilled oysters were perfect. So good I wanted to lick the shells! We also loved the corn and chowder soup. Will definitely be back!
Julia Donald
Wonderful service. Ended up ordering the duck for an app along with the gumbo. Both were absolutely to die for. The French bread was amazing. Seafood platter was our entree it wasn't your average "everything fried" seafood platter. The shrimp were great. I give this place all thumbs up! Ps you must try the apple cobbler. Jacque you were awesome!
Brian Chilton
Absolutely incredible food, the waiter suggested to seafood platter which I would recommend to everyone who's eating here. The beer pairing was a local draft wheat beer which paired perfectly and was delicious I wish I would have came here on my first night so I could have eaten there every night
George Kinter
Decent wine selection. The pork chop is fantastic. Portion sizes are generous. The deserts are amazing. Great atmosphere! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Chris Walker
We had a group of 6 go in and we all left with our pants feeling tight in the waist. The food was so very dang good I wish we had one in Tampa. Job well done folks. Y'all go on in you won't regret it.
Christl Howze
Great food and drinks. Sat at the bar and the bartender and oyster guy were very personable
Justin H
Gumbo was a good cajun style gumbo in NOLA. I DO recommend!
George Lynch
Modern twists on traditional Cajun and Creole cuisine with very good service and even better food. I took a work group here last night and we had a ball and very much enjoyed the experience. The pork chop is enormous - be warned!!!!!
Brian Deenihan
1st review I have ever written for any restaurant. Visited here weekend of July 4th. Go here! It is fantastic!!! Our waiter was personable and professional. We met one of the owners as well.
The seafood and oysters are great! We will definitely visit again!
True Way Church Women's World
This was a great experience. It was my husband’s birthday and they allowed us to celebrate even after their doors had closed. The food was great as well. We’re from Tennessee, but will definitely patron this establishment again.
Neil Fox
Excellent for what it is. Atmosphere is casual, which is what we are after. Food was so good we had to visit again the next night.
Recommend the side of Jambalaya.
Pork chop is out of this world.
Pay a visit. Best spot in the up and coming warehouse area.
Kathy Winburn
Very friendly staff made our visit very pleasant! Meal and dessert were wonderful. Too much food for a single meal which only means I get to enjoy it all over again in leftovers! Good choice!
Allen Putnam
Pretty good food. We were told that the oysters were the best grown in the area. All of truly think Drago's were the best we have ever had. Prime Rib was good but not great.
Judy Burford
Casual atmosphere, and delicious food. Every dish we tried had a unique flavor. Our server, Josh, couldn't have been better. Get here early, unless you have a reservation.
Jessica Speary
The food was some of the best I have ever had!!!! The grilled oysters were something new for me and I absolutely loved them. I also had the shrimp and crayfish maque chous, definitely the best item on the menu. I'm only in town for a few days, but I'll definitely be going back there
Timm Burnett
I was in New Orleans for a convention for one week. I ate at here twice because the food and service was so great. Please put the pickled fried onion rings on the menu. They came out on top of the pork chop and were so delicious.
Linda Brigante
Soup was good and beans and rice very flavorful!
Jen McCraw
The fried catfish was very good for lunch. It honestly is a good restaurant for the price. There are just so many superstars in New Orleans, and you can't give them all 4 or 5 stars.
E W
Great restaurant! Came here with a group of friends visiting from out of town and we we're all craving fresh oysters. Ended up going with several dozen of their grilled oysters and they did not disappoint! Excellent service and friendly staff.
Bridget Pruitt
Food was cooked fresh, served hot, and was authentic. Our waiter was five star in customer service though the restaurant was packed. We came without a reservation but was seated immediately before the busy came about. Would highly recommend! A bit pricey but for a treat well worth the money.
Taylor Flanery
Food and service were excellent. Very clean and nice place.
Binoy Subhakumar
Awesome food and service. The wait time was insanely long though. Their kitchen is a mess I guess but not the food.
Craig Wilkens
Made rez for 5 two months in advance. Waited an hour at the bar, then they tried to squeeze us all in a booth for four. My clients were not impressed, nor was I. Food was cold, menu small, and expensive. Too bad, this was previously my first pick in town.
Samantha Warner
This place has amazing food and service! If you are lucky enough to get served by Cody, he won't disappoint! The food was phenomenal! If you are visiting New Orleans hit up Galliano's.
Bob Crain
Ate here twice (lunch and dinner) this week. The service was outstanding and food was even better! One of the better restaurants in the area. The wait staff was very courteous and attentive. Our waitress went out of her way to answer any questions and explain their dishes.
Dede DeMayo
Great wait staff, good atmosphere, most of what we ordered was very good, I thought it was over priced though and unfortunately I did become ill that evening after eating fried oyter salad and the gumbo.
Edward Barbezat
Great find. Casual dining, awesome food. My wife ordered the fried chicken - it was probably the best fried chicked either of us ever ate. I had the porkchop - it too was awesome. Portions were huge.
Ciarán Cusack
Cannot recommend this place enough. We had the chargrilled oysters to start and then the seafood platter. Everything was cooked to perfection and action packed with flavour. Service was superb as well.
Iram Casas
Amazing service, pretty good food
I decide to give the engagement ring to my wife in here, I highly recommend this place Thank you for make this important day of our lives a beautiful night and experience
Hellianna Verrett
Everything we had was so good! The Rougaroux drink is great if you like sweet rum drinks and if you don’t like too sweet and want a vodka drink try the El Diablo. The service was great and the food was delicious. We’ll definitely be back .
Try the duck wings even if you don’t eat duck. You won’t regret it!
Brad Waide
Good food, had the grilled oysters and they were very good, bit of smoke flavor to them. Sat at the bar and had excellent service. See definitely recommend.
Kristen Parfait
Terry was the best bartender! We got the prime rib for two and it was HUGE but delicious!! Happy Hour in weekdays from 5:30-6:30 with drink and oyster specials.
Clint Broderick
Appetizers were good, but the deep fried filet mignon had no flavor and the steak was so thin it was unnoticeable in several bites. I would not get it again if I ever go back. Sadly, the side of beans were much better and more flavorful than the steak.
Joaquin Eubanks
The restaurant is located near the convention center and is easy to find. We made reservation woth yelp and was propmpty seated on arrival. Staff was friendly and the restaurant wasn't noisy although they were full. We ordered the chargrilled oysters and you must try them if you go here. We ordered the crawfish pasta and the old world tournedos. The pasta was creamy and filled with crawfish and the tournedos were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth.
Thuy K.
Delicious but pretty heavy. I got the fried catfish, which was a pretty big portion of 2 filets. Also, the server offered still or sparkling water but neglected to mention that sparkling will cost extra so just be aware.
Kevin Green
I found this place through a friend. Sat and the bar. Everyone was nice and friendly. They have a very good craft bar! Food is amazing. I will definitely be back!
Shannon Hillman
Alligator appetizers were amazing. Cowboy ribeye was tender and cooked perfectly. The truffle butter was a great touch for the steak.
Ryan LeJeune
Loved it. Had a Bloody Mary and seafood gumbo for an appetizer and a grilled platter for my entree. All was very good including the strawberry bread pudding for dessert.
Thomas Drake
The Prime Rib for 2 is to die for! I about died trying to finish it. The greens were very flavorful. The mashed potatoes needed a little help, but the prime rib was the awesome. Medium was the mark as the cut is really thick. Also, their Rougaleaux drink was a nice twist on the Hurricane.
craig davis
Banana Foster bread pudding is incredible.
Mark Mueller
Fried chicken was perfect and fried shrimp also solid. Rougaroux mixed rum drink comes in a small fishbowl and only $5 at happy hour. Good service.
Miguel Chion
Great place. Thr biggest more indulgent pork chop I have ever had. Great service.
Rebecca Leeper
Oysters were delicious!! Staff were very courteous.
Michael Faulknor
When we were finally seated the menu was limited. The food was good...the service was alright.
Amy Wascher
Delightful food and service!
Richard Moffitt
Wonderful server Joshua (Mon & Tues), great atmosphere, and terrific food. Will definitely be back when we are in NOLA!
Lori P
What a gem! Quiet, friendly, and casual, this is a great spot for dinner with friends. The food here is utterly delicious. The menu is almost too much to absorb, and it is all slap your momma good!
Rose
Hoping for a tasty New Orleans meal. Was disappointed. Service was good. Cajun prime rib was bland. Greens over spiced. Mashed potatoes flavorless. Red beans and rice salt forward.
Tammi Montgomery
Excellent food and great service - we had the chicken fried filet minion and the seafood platter with bbq shrimp, drum, crawfish bread - all excellent and so full of great creole flavor. Great service too- we will be back!
purpaletapeninja 77
Although the place was packed, and i was late to my reservation, they saved my table. That's 5 starts right there unless the food or service was terrible, which it is not. Oysters were awesome and drink menu is on point.
Wil O.
This food at this restaurant was great, and so was our waitress...until. Until we received our bill, which we split down the middle between two people, that coincidentally had $11 added to each check. The receipt did not state gratuity could be added as LA that is illegal.
Our pleasant waitress had convenienlty stepped out, so another assisted us and did not care to give us an explanation or even suggest what could've happened. Unacceptable. The manager did not come over to apologize, nor have the waitress when she came back in (without making eye contact) explain what may have cause the overcharge. Unacceptable.
We were great customers and happen to tip very well everywhere we go...and STILL Tipped her well because she was a great waitress. We felt discriminated against as we were the only people of color at the time being served. UNACCEPTABLE.
The food is great, but check your bill...especially if you happen to be out of town.
REPLY TO OWNER
Thank you for your reply. I would like to be clear, we DID NOT ask for separate checks, instead Wanda asked us if we wanted the check split and we declined separate checks. We preferred to split the one bill down the middle which all point of sales systems allow as I am an analyst for one.
I appreciate this response, however, it would have been more appreciated had that apology and simple explanation come from Wanda or Charlie (assuming he was the manager that night).
They both avoided eye contact as we sat boxing our food- I even saw Charlie look out the corner of his eye. No apology. No explanation. No "have a good night". Unacceptable!
This review is solely based on their cold treatment toward us, that could have simply ended with, "it was a mistake and we're sorry..." We would have accepted that because she was simply that sweet of a waitress, but to then completely ignore us while we watched her colleague explain to her what happened and continued to ignore us.
It should have been just as easy to tell us in person as it was to reply here that it was a long day, and a simple miscalculation. If you can't tell, the 180 degree switch in our treatment was blatant and left us believing the overcharge was intentional, otherwise a genuine apology would have been immediate. The food is great but I will be filing with the better business bureau as service and management to treat customers in that way is abusive and should not be directed to others.
Roger Clarke-Johnson
THE best gumbo, THE best bourbon and the best local blackened fish dish we've eaten while in town. Just amazing. Patronize this Warehouse District gem STAT
andy schumann
They have the most creative drinks in town- balanced, unique and well flavored. The alligator appetizer is excellent but their corn chowder is absolutely the best I have ever tasted.
William Hunt
Casual and comfortable establishment. Well prepared meals of good quality ingredients. Very nice gumbo and local style meals. Helpful and friendly staff. Near the convention center. Reasonable prices and good value.
Timothy E.
My wife and I visited Galliano for the first time. While a vast improvement over the prior weird inhabitant Root at the same location, Galliano has work to do.
We had the chargrilled oysters, and we both agreed they were good, but not great. Dick and Jenny's has great chargrilled oysters. These were average - about what you'd find at Acme or Dragos.
We also had the blackened drum, which was a bit over cooked. The vegetables that came with the dish were good.
We sat at the bar, which we like to do. But, we found the service slow.
We will give Galliano another try in another couple of months. Meanwhile they need to focus on: 1) improving food quality. Taste is everything. Average does not cut it in this town. Fish must not be over cooked. Dishes must be excellent. 2). Improve service level, especially at the bar. Two bartenders at Houston's run circles around the two bartenders at Gallianos. A good bartender mixes drinks quickly while keeping up with patrons' needs.
I honestly want to see this restaurant succeed. The location is good. Good performance will deliver good reputation and repeat business.
Matt Jones (Jonesy)
Went here for lunch with some coworkers. I would say it was a little pricey for lunch, but the PO-Boy was amazing! Only try the Bloody Mary if you like hot stuff. It was spicy, but delicious.
Diane Leacock
Great place to eat, food is great and service is marvelous with friendly inviting servers especially Rafael, and manager. Definitely will return whenever we are in New Orleans again. Doesn’t matter your nationality or race, you will feel welcomed
Derek 007
Excellent the best restaurant we attended while on vacation. Highly recommended nothing was disappointing and I know good food!
Stephanie Dixon
This is our first time in NOLA. Someone told us to go to Mulate's but the reviews here were amazing. And OMG the reviews don't give it justice. The atmosphere is chill, the people are super polite, and the owner came around and told us one of the secret ingredients in the collard greens. Our server was Larry and he was outstanding. He was polite, genuine, and had good conversation. This place is gets 5 star and A+. We will definitely be back next time we are in NOLA!
Taylor Willits
Service was great. Just ordered wine and appetizers and soup, so can’t speak to the entree dishes. I would recommend the crab gratin and charbroiled oysters.
Billy Branch
Since there so many restaurant choices in New Orleans deciding where to eat can be difficult, but we absolutely loved our dinner at Galliano’s. Knowledgeable and attentive waitress, cool laid back atmosphere and the food could not have been better!
Ella-Marie Chambers
Drinks were great most of the food was too. They couldn't get my grilled fish right, but tried twice then took it off the bill. The veggies with it were excellent
Kelly Meek
Great food. Cool atmosphere in the warehouse district! 100% will visit again!
Ray Flores
Simply Marvelous !!!
Get the Pork Chop!
OH MY GOD.....
Heaven
Has to be one of my BEST meals EVER
Ask for Tesa, she made the dinner an expirience ill remember for a long time.
Allen
Excellent food and service... walked in early with no reservation and got seated right away. But to be safe, I'd probably get reservations next time.
Randy Reynolds
Food was ok. Service was not what I would expect. It seemed that the waiter was new and easily confused. We had to ask for little touches that you normally get, like the cloth to clean up after eating seafood with our hands. It was also very loud, but I'll probably give it another try when I'm back in town
Mark Williams
Food was OK. Service was great. Hush puppies were dry and hardly edible. Plus, this free appetiser arrived after we'd had our starter.
Jamie Adams
Seafood Platter sauce was so good, my tongue slapped my brains out! Food was out of this world. Highly recommend this quaint little place. Words cannot explain the magic that these folks deliver.
Donna Scherer
Way too expensive for the quality and variety of food
Betty Blome
Staff were inviting and take great pride in their restaurant, as it shows by their interactions with their patrons. Good home cooked, flavorable, meals. An enjoyable and relaxing place for Southern comfort food.
Rich Bouchner
First visit. Took friends visiting from out of town. As a local, very happy to have Galliano in my neighborhood. Their seafood is the real deal and staff was spot on. An all around solid experience.
Alexandria Catalan
The duck wings were veey good. The smothered chicken was a little dry.
Etienne Lescure
Everything is delicious. Great smoked Old Fashioned. Fun dining experience
Kaylee McKeown
Amy is awesome, give her a raise! Raw oysters, Alligator-Pork lasagna, fried alligator bites, duck wings, ugggh just beautiful. 💗
Accommodated our annoying party of eight, late at night with grace and swagger.
Plus that they had Albarino. 🙌 …
LaDarius
Great service and food I’d definitely come again.
NLD Texas
Oh my...she crab chowder with corn and potatoes. Wonderful red beans and rice with andouille sausage and ham hocks. Talk about a variety of tastes. Lovely bar,, good service.

Christian
Great soup du jour, blackened drum and wonderful cioppino. Very prompt and attentive service. Pricing points are slightly off, but don't let that stop you from trying this cool restaurant.
Debi Guha Neogi
We had the grilled oysters and the friend catfish and both were awesome!
Also, do try their El Diablo Mule cocktail. It's quite refreshing!
Karen Blonder
Nice atmosphere, service was very good. The house salad was excellent. The shrimp poboy was meh.....a lot of bread and not very much shrimp - did not even cover the sandwich.
Tess Harm
When my husband and I travel together, we often ask, 'as this is our 1st time here in our travels, what is a 'not to be missed' offering from the menu?' The Duck Wings - meh. I asked which local draft beer would go with it that is not hoppy ( bitter) - the suggestion was hoppy & bitter😣. The side of rice & beans made it all better. …
Lee Offenberger
Enjoyed the food here. Server was awesome, kept is in drinks, and had suggestions to us as first timers that were spot on. The oysters were worth fighting over.
Nicole Williams
Excellent food 😋
Elle and Charlie( waiter & waitress) were excellent. Little girl at front desk seemed a little young to be worker there ( 13 yrs old) while making soft drinks 🍹.
Anyways the service was amazing 😉
Auriel Lewis
The food was a bit pricey but delicious. For a family of four with two drinks and two deserts we spent almost $200. Our waitress, Kaeylyn was excellent.
Ricky Tracy
Excellent food. Even as as a big NYC seafood guy, these were the best oysters I've ever had. And the shucker taught us a bit about oyster farming!
JRICH
Amazing food. I had a great dinner there for my birthday. The pork chop is out of this world. Definitely will come back next time I'm in new Orleans.
Michael Hansen
Meals were very good, stuffed porkchop, portobello mushroom dish, and pasta. Good service. Overall good, but on the expensive side.
Mario Mendoza
Gumbo, Shrimp Po Boy, and two rounds of Baked oysters and a bloody Mary for breakfast. Wonderful flavors. Close to the NOLA convention center.
Nor B
A little expensive for us but I think is fair for the great quality, grilled oysters are extremely delicious, pasta was good and the cajun sauce (I believe that was the name of the sauce) was an amazing touch on the dish, the service was beyond wonderful, thanks for your help guys by the way.
Wilnise Casimir
First night in NOLA looking for a nice restaurant. I was expecting a much better experience, but the staff was nice and the food was different. I tried the gumbo salad which was something new, but nothing special.

Patrick Stanger
Wow...we ate here two nights in a row! Soooo good and great service.

I'm not a shellfish eater. The free range stuffed chicken breast was excellent. The rest of the party enjoyed their shellfish, too.
Tiffany Barbers
They have one of the best shrimps I have ever tasted. I also like the idea that the owner is around to check on their guests. I would definitely come back here.
Will Beddow
A chill and delicious middle ground between the deep fried tourist traps like mulate's and the uber pretentious hipster joints in the warehouse district. Great food, staff, and atmosphere.

Josh Hampton
A-plus all around! Great service, cocktails, and food. We had a large group and they were extremely accommodating and everyone loved what they ordered!!
