Reviews of Galatoire's 33 Bar & Steak

We got lucky in our timing. The server was amazingly helpful. She walked us through our order and helped us with suggestions to make our foodie experience perfect(we never got her name sadly.) So much good food its hard to point anything in particular out. It also just had a cool vibe knowing generations of customers had been through there.

This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food and drinks were savory and delectable; the service, friendly, welcoming and professional. The turtle soup with sherry was sooo good. I visited NOLA in large part to have an amazing food experience, and Galatoire's met my expectations in every way. I'm looking forward to my next trip to NOLA...Galatoire's will definitely be on my itinerary.

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner. The wait staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. The maple leaf duck was quite tasty! It was cooked to perfection but needed a little salt to enhance the flavor. The daiquiri was strong and flavorful. You could taste the alcohol but it wasn't overpowering. All in all, it was a great fine dining experience to have on Bourbon Street. I'd highly recommend stopping by if you get a chance. Please be aware that there is a dress code and reservations are highly recommended as this place can get busy.

Great variety of alcoholics beverages, great food , and great libations. A staple in a decaying very decaying city where there is no rule in it. It is sad that so many noble and amazing establishments are loosing clientele because there is no restriction to what happens on the street. It is really scary to walk on the streets.
The food and the architecture is incredible. Beautiful. But things need to change or all will be lost. So sad!

Great food and service. Old school NO fine dining dine right. Great food and setting. I went on a Saturday afternoon, still busy with locals in the know. Solid food. Just ok desserts.

We wanted a nice dinner on our last night in the French Qtr. We chose Galatoires and so glad we did. The service was impeccable, Kelsey is a wonderful server. We started with the potato souffle, perfect little puffs. We had redfish and black drum with caper buerre blanc sauce, steamed spinach, cauliflower au gratin and finished with bread pudding. It was like eating a homemade meal. Everything was delicious. Can't say enough about what a nice experience our dinner was. Thank you Galatoires!

The initial walk in (to the left of the bar area) is definitely suit coat required. Appears they have some right inside the front door to maybe borrow?
We went outside and down to the 33 Bar and Steak sign entrance and we’re able to sit in a bar area without and enjoy a fabulous meal. Ordered the 10oz filet and it was cooked perfectly (option to add a variety of garnishes). Ordered a few sides that were large enough to split between two people — au gratin potatoes, broccoli hollandaise and portobello mushrooms. Definitely try the Rum Old Fashion to top it off.

The food was delicious! The Louisiana shrimps were amazing. The meat was succulent, tender and the flavor was magnificent. Additionally, the service was efficient, polite and the waitress gave us dishes suggestions. With no doubt one of the best places I have ever met.

A loud and boisterous version of Antoines. Alive with friendly chatter but the adjoining bar provides a quiet refuge and full menu at smaller tables and a few booths. Highly recommend the black bottom pecan pie! Best I've ever had.

My boss brought me here for Thanksgiving and we were so impressed with everything that we made reservations for Christmas Eve right then. I have been living here for several years now and I have been to several places for the holiday season that are on the 5 Star list.
I highly recommend this place for your dining experience in New Orleans.
From the time you walk in the door until the time you leave the service is top notch. I have to say that Billy, one of the managers, assisted me with helping my boss to the awaiting cab which was much needed.
I will be there again..
