Pretty good, quaint local pizza joint. Service was a little slow, but it was busy and they are clearly understaffed at the moment which is understandable. The prices are okay for the portions but the quality of food is high and the menu selection is good. I had a 10"(small) Narcissist and I enjoyed it, unique flavors done quite well.

My boyfriend and I placed a to go order here on a Sunday after hearing about them from one of our Lyft drivers while we were in town. Our order was placed about an hour or so before they closed so we picked it up. However, I so wish we had realized they delivered because it would've been a lot more convenient. I enjoyed my gyro the most. I absolutely love gyro's but I'm used to them being on the traditional pita bread so the wrap/tortilla was a change. The meat wasn't finely sliced like most gyros I've had in the past but overall I liked it. I'm not sure if the wrap was because we ordered to go or if that is their standard but either way it didn't disappoint. We also had extra tzatziki sauce. My least favorite item was the spinach and artichoke dip which was a little disappointing because it's my go to appetizer. The serving size is amazing but I prefer dip with chips and ironically it was served with pita bread. I think there may have been more spinach than artichoke and other ingredients because that's what I tasted the most. So it had a bitter after taste that I wasn't a fan of. We wanted to try a few menu items so we opted for a small build your own pizza because slices aren't available on the weekends. The pizza was good, I don't have any complaints about it and I loved the Italian sausage. But it probably would've been more cost efficient. Their special board had a lot of good deals but a majority were for weekdays. The woman who took our order was very nice and patient and I appreciated the staff allowing us to sit in the restaurant (it started raining) while we waited for our Lyft.

Pizzas were delicious, the term gourmet fits. I went on Wednesday and got the buy one and get another gourmet pizza for $1. Great bargain! The cajun shrimp and the chicken pesto were satisfying choices. It was nice to get a pizza.where the crust was a compliment to the overall dish, not a detractor. The food and interior cleanliness were spot on. Granted it has been rainy, but the exterior windows could have used a good wipe down; it could only add to the sparkle...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! Good wine! Outside Seating! Good prices! Some bomb delicious wings with home made dipping sauces! This place is in my top 5 Pizza Places! Parish was our Server! My wife and I came here looking for something new to us. It turned out to be a true diamond in the rough. We had a good feeling as soon as we saw the candle light on each table. Our server's name was Ryann G. She made us feel very comfortable right from the beginning. She was very polite and her timing was on point. We started with a Caesar salad and the fried brussels sprouts. When we finished the salad and appetizer we had an extra large pizza. It was half NOLA green roots and half meathead. Then for desert we had a pint of New Orleans white chocolate bread pudding ice cream. Just to be clear we took half of the pizza home. We can eat a good bit. But we have limits. So how was it you ask. The salad was incredibly fresh and the fried brussels sprouts were the best we've ever had. The pizza had a generous amount of cheese and the toppings all seemed just as fresh as the salad. Needles to say it was great! We also enjoyed the ice cream very much even though at this point we were ready to pop. Ryann even scooped most of the pint out of the container and put it in a bowl for us with two spoons. The whole experience was one to remember and we will be back very soon.

Delicious pizza and kind wait staff. We had the spinach and artichoke dip, it was the most creamy I've ever had. The pizza was cooked perfectly and aside from needing extra seasoning for veggie pizza, which is personal criticism of mine for any vegetarian dish, it was very tasty

Pizzas is good, Wednesday's deal definitely makes it worth it. Sometimes it's under baked a little but still tastes good to me. That would be my only complaint. Service has been better the last few visits. They always seem to have new servers, they must have high turnover.

I got the house burger with a side of Caesar salad. They were happy to substitute the burger with a vegetarian patty and replace the dressing with ranch. The service was a bit slow but I believe there's only one person working the tables and another in the kitchen for a Saturday but it was worth the wait in the end. The burger came together very well, the salad was okay.

Cozy, cool, family friendly pizza joint with wine. Staff was really patient, friendly and attentive. We had buffalo wings, a cheese pizza and a margherita pizza with pepperoni. The wings were spicy and delicious. We loved both of our pizzas. They had plenty of different menu options aside from the pizza. They also had 2 TV's going with sports. Definitely a must visit if in the area.

I went here for a quick bite and was utterly surprised. This pizza is amazingggggg. I do have a love for pizza so I look for different places to eat pizza. I saw this place had a good amount if reviews and I was hungry while in the area and came here for pizza. My boyfriend and I got the veggie pizza minus black olives and onions and it was so yummy. Crust, cheese...all of it! I was eating it with a huge smile on my face! I am visiting NO for Mardi Gras so it was nice to find a great place to grab some food. Our sever was named Callie B. She was an amazing sever. She was energetic, helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable. She came to check in on us often and made sure everything was okay which was truly appreciated. I can say that she definitely made me experience so much better and I wish all servers were more like her- so kudos to her. There's a parking lot on site so that was very convenient. But back to the pizza- SOOOOO GOOD. Go try it! Also, reasonably priced.

Love this place! I’m not even vegetarian but always order from the vegan menu because it’s so tasty. The vegan burger, jalapeño cheesy bread, and veggie queen are my favorites. Compared to dairy, vegan cheese has half the carbon footprint so it’s an easy way to help the environment.

Called I to have pizza delivered. Phone service was good. Delivery was great seeing there was a storm. Taste was hmmm... I'm from Chicago so it's hard for me to rate the taste. Definitely not the greatest pizza that other reviews said

Service was a bit slow, but that's because it was so busy and there were at most 3 waitresses constantly working! Despite this, everyone on staff was nice. The food was great, and the atmosphere is pretty good too. Really nice menu, and the perfect spot for a date night or friendly gathering. Pet friendly on the patio as well. Definitely try the spinach artichoke dip! I'll for sure be trying the vegan/vegitarian options next time. The small pizzas are enough to share, but I did eat mine alone. A large pie is more than enough for 2-3 people!

The service was excellent and so was the food . I had a Ceasar salad to start , the server actually took the time put the salad together properly and toss it with fresh cheese and croutons. Next we had the spinach dip. I enjoyed it thoroughly, it was seasond perfectly with the cheese on top perfectly toasted. Last came the pizza. A medium pie split with half being a meat lovers and the other a yard bird. Crust was perfect. I hope you enjoy.

Good place to go after hanging out at City Park. The pizza was delicious and our server was wonderful, very attentive and friendly! The only off putting thing I noticed was that they store their pizza boxes on the patio which isn’t up to sanitation standards.

G's Midcity is one of our favorite local restaurants. As a bonus, tonight's Server was James. He is friendly, courteous and amazingly efficient. Went back after not visiting for a while. Very delicious per usual. My husband and I love the spinach and artichoke dip. We love several of the pizzas. Wednesdays special deal buy one large pizza, get another free! Great new servers too. One table had an issue with their order but they were impatient and not understanding. Ours was perfect. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food is great. It’s a little pricey but on Tuesdays they have a $25 date night special which is a bottle of wine and large pizza. Always good service. They make their own ranch which goes great with their pizza. My only complaint is the outhouse style bathroom. You have to go outside to use the bathroom and it just feels odd. This restaurant used to be a gas station but they did a great job making it a cute little pizza spot! I believe they also have drink specials from time to time.

What does the G stand for? Great, grandiose, and generous are all adjectives I would use to describe their food. With a diverse hardworking staff, G's dishes out pizzas the way Robocop dealt out justice. Wednesday is always a great day to get a large pizza because of their best special. They serve some of the best Vegan pizza's as well. I tried the vegan pepperoni the other night and it exceeded all expectations. The staff is efficient and patient dealing with the Wednesday rush.

I've had food from here 3 times now. Every time was the same quality. The ambience was nice when going for a date night, however, the food was satisfactory. Not bad, just okay. For example, the pizzas always come out a little overcooked. Last night, half of it was overcooked. I ordered Avocado Toast, the first time there were no avocados (understandable), and the second time, it was avocado bread, nothing toasted. I believe it was on pizza dough type bread. The pasta I had ordered was only lukewarm in the centre and cold everywhere else. Including the shrimp and some of the sauce. All of the food I've gotten thus far were definitely on the bland side, but if i had to pick a favourite, it would be the avocado toast. My experience was that the food is a bit overpriced for what you get.

If I could, I would give them 10 stars. A couple of weeks back I saw a commercial saying best pizza in Nola. We love pizza and eat it any and every chance we get. We tried a regular crust pepperoni, a thin all meat, and spinach dip. Everything was so good and now already planning our next visit. There are so many options on the menu, burgers, wraps, even a vegan menu.

Very good pizza and very friendly staff in a quaint location. Sorta cramped but nice. The owner or manager guy gave my kid a toy to take home, which was thoughtful. The pizza is pretty expensive but it's worth it as an occasional treat. Wouldn't recommend if you just want a cheap slice or pie to take home. Have gotten delivery before and it's a little slow.

Delicious Pizza & beautiful thin crust 💜 Felt adventurous & tried the cajun shrimp pizza & it was honestly not bad at all. Could do tomato sauce for the base of the pizza because it came with all Louisiana hot sauce & I didn't realize that until the pizza came. The buffalo wings were FIRE 🔥 ! YUM, so delicious & spicy. Must try pizzeria.

Our first visit to G's pizza resturant. This was a great experience. Eight of us stopped for lunch to honor our grandson following Senior "ring day" celebrations at Haynes Academy. We asked him where he wanted to go for lunch and he chose G's! It was a good choice. The ambiance was very nice, G's is fast, clean & friendly and most of all the pizza is delicious. We took advantage of Wednesdays special buy one get another for $1. One person in our group had salad. We ordered 4 super large pizzas and had 1-1/2 left over. The price of drinks is fair too at $2.00. The super large pizzas are $21 each. With the Wednesday special the bill was under $100 including tax & tip. Pretty good deal for 8 people with lots of leftovers! We were not rushed at all. The staff was polite and acomodating. Eating at G's was a wonderful experience. I can highly recommend this restaurant!

Wow!!! Amazing!! As an appetizer, we ordered 20piece buffalo wings. They were big, crisp & juicy. Great blue cheese dressing. Main course, the Narcissist pizza. We held the pineapple, but will definately try it there original way next time. Unbelievable!!! New town favorite.

Love G's pizza. This place stays busy and its busy for a good reason. From their moist crust, the abundance of toppings, ALL fresh ingredients. The sauce is authentic and tasty. This is a great place to dine in or carryout. Would love to visit on a Tuesday when it's date night when they offer a bottle of wine with the Tuesday night special. Wings are flavorful and delicious. Salads are fresh and definitely NOT a small portion.. The only downside of this restaurant is that they only have ONE location so I made the drive from Kenner. Totally and completely worth it!

Man!!! Lemme tell ya. This little pizza spot has some really big FLAVA when it comes to the savory pie you hear me! From marinara to the pesto or even the garlic butter sauces that they use, which ever base you go with you will NOT go wrong. The toppings to crust ratio is perfect and there ingredients are of great quality. PLUS they have an unbeatable specials for everyday of the week. Personally i go every Wednesday for the buy a large or xl and get one for $1. Can't beat that with a stick people.

The sauce, dough and cheese are one of a kind and I come all the way from the westbank to enjoy their pizza. If I had to nit pick about anything it would be to clear the clutter from register area so that customers dont see the products on the floor.

Excellent pizza but it takes forever to get a pizza once it's ordered. The ingredients are always fresh, the dough is some of the best you could ask for. But don't go with your family unless you plan on spending the rest of the evening.

I remember when it was Italian Pie a regular stop for our family when we lived in the city. This was the first time going since the change in ownership. We were informed of the Wednesday special and we took advantage of it. They have specials on other days also. It has limited seating inside but ample available outside. I do recommend trying them out when in central city.

If you want good pizza, this is the place. If you want pizza on time, forget it. My tip is to order and arrive 30 minutes after they tell you it will be ready. Poorly organized kitchen. Tastes great. Service, not so great.

I visited this place last year with my sisters and one of my nieces and we LOVED it! The food is exquisite and now is our favorite place to eat with family and friends. Make sure you order the spinach-artichoke dip and the arugula salad. My favorite pizza is the Narcissist. Yum! ~Thoughts become things... choose the good ones.

I give the pizza at G's a 5, the time it took to finally get it in hand is a 2! I ordered and paid online.... big mistake I think? It was a friday night they were busy. I was told numerous times by just about everyone working the pickup counter "it just went in the oven, it will be 20 minutes". Finally the manager asked about my order. She checked, than ignored me until I asked her about my pie. She apologized said it is in the oven offered me a free drink. She finally wrote on a receipt next time I order I get a freebie with my purchase. I think the kitchen is to small for the volume of pizzas they get on the weekend. I think my order was pushed back several times to provide for sit in customers. If I return ot will not be on the weekend!!!

An absolute banger. If you love pizza and are down in NOLA, come try this place. They have a buy one get one for a dollar on Wednesday. Try the breakfast or gyros pizza, personal favorites of mine. Waiters were friendly and atmosphere is cozy at night.

Had a goddess sandwich. That was the healthiest, freshest dish you can get in here - I guess. Delicious avocado spread, fresh greens, good whole grain bread. I think they sprinkled some lemon on the avocado because it tasted really fresh. Served with French fries which aren’t really healthy, but I must say they were really well done. I guess that’s the compromise while we complete the transition to healthy food down here in Louisiana! (That will never happen LOL). Nicely priced for what you get. The ambience is cozy like a mountain chalet. Only nuisance, two huge screens displaying baseball matches and ads, and a loud speaker with trashy music - silence would be sooo much appreciated.

My husband and I love this place. We were looking for Italian Pie (aint there no more) and this restaurant had just opened. So we dined in and became regulars. We had the privilege of meeting the owner and manager (now co owner). Good food, great customer service, nice quiet place to get away for lunch. Their buffalo wings bring the heat!!! We LOVE G's purely for the fact that they offer plenty of vegan options. Everything is tasty and the staff is wonderful and friendly. There are a few suggestions I would make to the vegan menu to improve upon it. For starters, maybe using a different vegan cheese like Follow Your Heart and/or So Delicious. The best pizza I had would mix multiple cheeses, not just Daiya cheese as it is a little sticky and doesn't taste great on a pizza. Also, having beefless crumbles as an option to add on would be great! Definitely put you a step ahead of all other pizza spots in town. It would be cool to see cauliflower wings or chickenless-chicken strips on the menu as well. Ultimately, G's pizza ROCKS for giving us a vegan option. One of our favorite spots especially for date night. Keep up the great work guys and hope to see some interesting creations on the menu in the future! And thanks again for supporting VEGANS!

Good pizza! Ordered ahead and picked up a personal pizza!

After a year we went back. We had some family in town and they wanted to go. We were pleasantly surprised and have gone back a couple times now. Place has gotten much better since I did my review below. Old Review Since the place is no longer Magazine Street Pizza, it has gone downhill in a bad bad way. Crust is often burnt, and if you call ahead and get "pick up" you might as well just go there and order. They don't start making your pizza until you get there. Every time I've ordered "pick up" I've been stuck waiting for 20 minutes or more, after having left the house (I live a block away) 20 to 30 minutes after ordering. Hint: I'm ordering "pick up" because I live very close, and do not want to wait, I've been working all day, make my pizza when I order it so I can pick it up and eat. Last week we got a pie that was so burned we could only eat about two thirds of it, but I was so fed up with waiting so long, I just took it and left. Happy to say, that that was the last time ever going there. So this review was written after that last visit. I'm never going back again. Every time I have, i've just been upset with waiting, and the quality of the pizza is just horrible. That last pizza had about half the cheese a pizza should have too. A solid three inches from the crust was just sauce with no cheese on it. It was one of the worst pizza's I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Ordered a forlarge vegan roots for takeout on my way home from work, and this is easily the best vegan pizza in the city -- and I've had them all. Can't wait to try out the rest of the vegan menu, which won't be to difficult since this is now my new weekly pizza spot

The service was great, however, the Feta Filo Rolls were indescribably delicious. OMG I had to call back and share how amazing and enjoyable the rolls were. Also, the G's Small House Salad with the pepper jelly dressing is not only delicious, it has the right kick for sensitive tongue. This place is now on my list to stop by for lunch or after a long day in the office when I want to cheat.

Tonight the oven broke at G's probably at the worst time for them, after 5, and on a Wednesday. I just want to say that many people and I had to wait for a long time for our order. However, I am assuming he was the manager or owner who walked in and got things together to get us our pizza. And I just want everyone to know that G's pizza is sooo good and worth the wait. Tonight was an isolated event and I hope y'all get that oven working. :)

Home store has some of the best pizza around! Got the pepperoni and mushroom thin crust. Not too thin, not too overdone, with a crispy crust that still had a bift of chew to it! Not gonna see that at a chain We've been going to G's since we moved here, and it's the closest I've ever come to reliving the pizza place near my childhood home. For that, their genuine appreciation of customers, and their awesome pizzas and deals (AND THOSE WINGS. SERIOUSLY THEIR WINGS ARE AMAZING), they get 5/5

It's kinda Hit or Miss. I've had some Great meals & some unfortunate ones. When ordering the usual basics, it seems to be fine, but special orders or adding/removing toppings seems to trip them up & things are either forgotten or wrong. Not sure if it's the order taker's fault or the kitchen not paying attention but they usually make up for it in some way. The point is, these are Mistakes that happen Every Time & Shouldn't. Making up for them, shouldn't hafta happen, as much as they do.
