Reviews of Emeril's

Great food and atmosphere! My friend made our reservations and included that it was for our engagement so they brought us free appetizers to try and also free dessert samplers. That was really nice of them to do that. I got salmon and the sauce that came with it was so tasty! We got BBQ shrimp for our appetizer and the BBQ sauce was very different than what we are used to but really good! Would definitely return!

Wow! What an amazing experience. We had the pleasure of sitting at the chef’s table and watching a highly talented team of pure genius put together some amazing dishes. All were pleasant to talk to about the dishes they were working on. Service was top notch and I can’t thank them enough for their attention to detail. The food is something you MUST experience. I don’t think my pictures do it justice at all! Make a reservation well in advance and come with an empty stomach. You’ll have an dinner to remember!

One of the most enjoyable dinner experiences I've ever had. Every detail was taken into account and the flavors and execution were spot on. I had the salmon main course, it was cooked to perfect medium rare. The sausage and collard greens side dish was hands down the best collard greens I've ever tasted, not even a hint of bitter and very balanced sauce. To finish the meal off I had the banana cream pie and it was excellent. This is definitely one place to go out of your way to get a reservation at, they were packed and even our reservation needed to wait a few minutes extra for our seats to become available.

From the cocktails and amuse bush to the appetizers and entrees - this restaurant was superb and well worth the $$$! The wait staff is kind, knowledgeable and professional! Each course was just as delicious and enticing as the last! Oh! And the lighting was really good, often these types of restaurants are too dark, but it was nice to see your food, and those around your table!

It was our last night in NOLA + had reservations for Emeril’s (booked a couple weeks in advance). WOW.
The service: exactly what one would (or should) expect in a highly regarded restaurant. Our primary server, Chris, was amazing — friendly, knowledgeable, attentive + just all around southern hospitality. The servers working with him were just as amazing.
The food: wow wow wow! We opted for oysters + a main from the dinner menu (not the tasting menu). The opening and closing dishes, compliments of the chef, are always an incredible treat.
Make sure you make this restaurant a stop on your NOLA trip (and reserve ahead of time!) worth every moment here + the perfect way to end our tip!
(And best banana cream pie ever)

A Punch to the Wallet but A Delightful Tasting Menu
We went here on my birthday! The server was probably one of the sweetest servers I have ever had and she made the experience just wonderful. We both did the tasting menu and it was just wonderful. We try to do a nice dinner like this in every city we visit and this one hits right in the middle of the road. The price was pretty steep even though we enjoyed the meal. We feel that it was a bit overpriced. The menu was creative and the food was delicious.

Thank you to the entire team of Emeril's for a fantastic meal. It's clear how much care and attention is put into this restaurant. Not many places can say that after over 30 years. One of the standout points about this meal (aside from the clearly great food and wine) was the atmosphere of the restaurant. The whole staff was so warm and attentive but sharp and professional at the same time. The smoothness of the service was such a treat. I didn't want to leave. Thank you Emeril and team.

Let me say I have looked forward to going to Emeril's for over 20years. When the opportunity came knowing I was staying in NOLA for (5) days after a cruise
I booked a reservation (2) months ahead to make sure we could get in. The (2) options are formal tasting menu (3 hours btw) or the Salon side less formal but only tapas size dishes of the menu.
I don't get why there wouldn't be an option to have a meal with correct portions not small or take (3hours) to eat it. To me that a little short sighted I have to say, just my opinion of course.
The food saucier was on point, delicious. Varied sizes of shrimp from the baby shrimp in the Creole versus the medium size in the main course, seemed inconsistent. Maybe it's a cost saving for the varied sizes but we come to get quality.
Emeril cooking show always had huge portions almost enough to share with others. This to me was disappointing to me after building it up after so many years.
I hope something will change, people want to eat and enjoy the Creole/Cajun style foods. In my humble opinion.

Very nice experience. Food was great, staff was professional and attentive. My waiter Thomas was helpful in what to try when new to food from New Orleans.
The starter had excellent sauce with the sausage. The sour dough bread was nice and moist. The filet mignon was very tender with a nice rub and assorted mushrooms.
Coming from Europe, the food was high quality and not excessively greasy. Be mindful, that some dishes are quite hot with significant amounts of cayenne pepper though.
The venue as a whole is nice with good lighting and acoustics. It is busy and buzzing, but you can carry a conversation no problem.
5 course meal was $155, vegetarian $135 without drinks, tips etc. The prices from a few years back seem more appropriate.

I sat on the salon side on a week night.
The atmosphere is wonderful and from the second you enter you're greeted by hospitable staff.
I ordered a cocktail and had the Caesar salad to start. Salad was perfectly dressed and crisp with literally the best anchovies I have ever had. They were melt in your mouth fresh.
I then had a glass of wine and the barbecue shrimp. Also excellent and very tasty.
I ended with the famous banana cream pie and a glass of the tocai /sauv vert. They were paired excellently.
A perfect experience start to finish.
