Reviews of Elizabeth's
Lisa Wallover
Two words: Praline Bacon.
As an appetizer.
And that was just getting us started with a brunch filled with flavor.
Elizabeth’s is a great find, and completely worth the Uber from the French Quarter for a unique and delicious weekend brunch.
We arrived around 9:00 AM on a Saturday (before it gets busy, which is around 10:30) and were warmly greeted and seated upstairs.
We knew about the praline bacon 😁 and were given excellent suggestions by our server.
I had the Crabby (crab cakes for breakfast - who knew?!?) and my husband had the Eggs Elizabeth - each a riff on Eggs Benedict.
Oh, and grits.
And the coffee.
Fantastic.
In a city known for its food, Elizabeth is on our “Return To” NOLA list.
Highly recommend!

This is my second visit to this wonderful establishment in 5 years as I obviously don't live locally. If I lived here, this would be a weekly pilgrimage. The food is well prepared and the staff is friendly. I've told many people that if you go to New Orleans and you don't eat at Elizabeth's at least once, you're wrong. The homemade biscuits are incredibly thick and fluffy. I've had at least half of the items on the menu in 2 visits. The smoked pork chops are my favorite and the grit cakes are amazing with the tasso gravy. I can't wait to come back.

Cornbread waffle! worth mentioning. I tried that with fried chicken strips. Syrup is good and thick and sweet. For $$$ it had more room for improvement.
Bathroom fan was loud, but it was relatively clean. Interior of the restaurant was cozy, tables filled almost every corner.
They sell their own merch. Big ice cubes we like.
Autumn Smith
We heard great things about Elizabeth's and they did not disappoint. I went for the banana foster French toast, it was rather decadent but really yummy. It was super busy but managed to get a table. I'd expect to wait during busy times but it's worth a wait.
Mario Rodriguez
A great local hole in the wall brunch spot! Lots of options. The Praline bacon had great flavor but I tend to like mine crispier. Chicken and waffle is a classic and really delicious. The place is small and cozy so it may not be great for a large group.

The breakfast here is real good! My family are here and we all enjoyed the did and the service. The pecan bacon is a MUST try. Delicious! Unique deco inside makes this a unique place and the service was great.
Robin Weaver
I love eating Brunch here!! I would try to make reservations if you can. But if you can't the wait for the table wasn't long. The food is Fantastic!! Bloody Mary is delicious. Other drinks are great!!
Kay Chandler
Came here before the classic while in town. This brunch experience was amazing. The food, flavor, champagne, and service was top tier. I like experiencing different brunch settings when I'm in town, but I'd definitely go back. Just like all parking at places in the Bywater, it's horrible..but they always have parking available on the street and you will have to walk to the establishment.
Jill McCaskill
I can't say enough wonderful things about the place. Hands down the best fried oysters I've ever had!!! While in town I had to visit two days in a row just to get my fix. The service was wonderful, the grit cakes were super crispy, but the eggs Florentine with the oysters was just the best things ever!!
Brett Schwartz
Loved this place! A local friend told me about it and we stopped by on our way out of town. They have a great take on breakfast classics, as well as some local Cajun favorites. Tried these Calles, they were like deep fried banana bread balls with powder sugar, great breakfast app.
Meghan Descontez
We popped into Elizabeth's for brunch, and they did not disappoint. The redneck eggs were bomb. It's fried green tomatoes with 2 poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Yummy. The best thing they had and I was skeptical at first.... the praline candy bacon. I'm not normally a sweet salty eater, but this was awesome! I couldn't put it down. Trust me, you want to order it!
Avram Granett
This is one of those restaurants where everything just works! The atmosphere is fun and friendly, with Dr Bob art all over the walls. The staff really seem to enjoy working there and work really well together. And the food is worth the 20 minutes or longer wait to get in.
Make sure to order the praline bacon. We hadn't been here in over 8 years and it was just as wonderful as I remembered from last time.
Justin Ashley
A MUST STOP. Shout out to this amazing place. I have thought about this place since we came two years ago! This time it was just as fresh, flavor filled, and the staff was cooler than the breeze again! Take five seconds to look at that praline bacon. You can smell that sexy goodness from the photo. Them tater wedge "hashbrowns" with some hotsuace is enough to slap your mother. And your mother is a Saint! I enjoyed all 5392 calories. Nothing like a walk through the quarter to help with the excess calorie intake right?

Southern brunch at its decadent finest. When I say the food was good, the words do not encompass the shear amazigness that is Elizabeth's. The food was rich, fresh, flavorful, and creative but more than anything is was so good. In a town full of good bites this one stands above. The fried green tomatoes and shrimp, shrimp and grits, praline bacon, eggs florentine, but for everyone the French toast burrito was the winner. But who am I kidding nothing was less then fantastic. And they serve a fully stocked bar-chef's kiss.
Cheryl Davies
Warm welcome and great atmosphere! Tried the praline bacon, as everyone recommended it and it was very good, salty, sweet, crunchy! The fried chicken sandwich was also delicious.
Sukhada Saoji
Banana foster french toast was good. Serving size was huge!!
Fried oysters were good, again serving size was too huge for one person.
Great brunch place in NOLA.
Felipe Molina
I instantly smiled when I took the first bite! I totally recommend the grit fries very savory and delicious. The praline bacon is too die for! Have you ever laughed just because your surprised at how delicious something tastes?? Well the fried green tomatoes caused me to have that reaction. The atmosphere and service was amazing. I'm so thankful this place was recommended to me definitely returning on my next NOLO trip.

Delicious breakfast. The potatoes were very crispy. I like how they gave you a good food portion and then were like, "here's three potatoes."

First and foremost, the old fashions are the best I've had anywhere. They don't have whiskey cubes, but that's the only thing lacking. They use expensive bitters and luxardo cherries, thin slices of fresh orange, and my personal favorite - makers mark whiskey.
Blue cheese fried oysters are amazing, though I'm not normally a fan of fried oysters these have me converted. Blue cheese has excellent flavor without being too powerful and a perfect creamy texture. The oysters have a tasty and crisp corn meal breading that's light and flavorful. It's a good size portion and easy to share. Will definitely order again.
Baked Oysters with foie gras- freaking amazing. Not quite dragos, but dang close. Also worth getting.
Crab cakes are mostly crab and very tasty. A little small and harder to share, but if you really want a crab cake, you won't be disappointed by the flavor and texture. Order comes with 2, if I hade to choose, would go with the oysters.
Gumbo is standard, not bad, but nothing special.
Boudin balls - not really my thing, but they do come with and excellent stone ground mustard. It was good enough for me to eat one, so if you like boudin balls these are probably excellent.
Stuffed catfish was excellent- fish is perfectly cooked and has the same light and crisp breading the fried oysters have. Stuffing also has great flavor and plenty of bits of other seafood. I got it with a side of red beans and rice which looked good but was too stuffed to eat, and sweet potatoes.
OMG Seeet potatoes have banana or something in them. Try it before you knock it, the taste certainly blew me away. Will always order sweet potatoes as a side when we come back.
Smoked ribeye was mind blowing. I usually like my steaks rare, but I stole some medium and well done of other plates and was sorry I didn't take a chance. Super tender meat, excellent smoked flavor, none was left when we left the table.
Mahi seemed a little over cooked, wouldn't do that again.
Pork chop was decent but I've had better and there is better here.
Duck was tasty but totally eclipsed by the steak and catfish.
Cassandra Gonzales
I found this place checking for New Orleans itineraries on Pintrest, it stated it was a must try. The waitstaff was pleasant and very welcoming. I wish I could have tried their entire menu so I will definitely be back. We chose their specials instead of menu items. I had the boudain with poached egg and hashbrowns. The flavor the plate had was delicious. He had the Crabby which was a crab cake and poached egg with hashbrowns, his was really good too but not as good as mine. Hashbrowns were not your norm, they were fried crispy chunks of potatoes that were so yummy. Definitely keeping on my list of food places to recommend.
Erica Mix
Great spot to grab breakfast with family. Nice bar on the second floor to grab drinks while waiting for a table. Short wait for a busy Saturday (jazzfest going on) and the service was quick. Food was delicious. Yes, its a lil pricey, but worth it.
Max Hofmann
Bustling local brunch place in the bywater. Could do with a couple more vegetarian options but the Bloody Mary more than made up for this. Our waiter was really personable and friendly and gave us loads of tips for other things to see and do in the city. Would definitely recommend
Jason Winfield
Awesome art from Dr Bob on the walls, great funky vibes down in the Bywater....was recommended by our ABnB host. The star of our meal was the fried green tomatoes with remolaude and the praline bacon!!! Qe both had the cornbread waffle with duck and sweet potato hash. The waffle was good but neither of us were fans of the hash...it was more like mashed sweet potatoes with a little bit of duck here and there but not even enough to taste. Service was awesome and quick. Absolutely enjoyed the experience and will be back again, just won't have the duck waffle. Absolutely recommend this place tho.
B Rich
Very eclectic and artsy. We enjoyed bananas fosters French toast and smoked ribeye with scrambled eggs and cheese grits. A lovely side of bacon and fresh fruit. To get us started we had some delicious coffee and praline bacon!
Emily Mu
Great place for a hangover breakfast! I personally thought the duck sweet potato mash was a bit too heavy but everything was quite tasty.
Isonia
Excellent!
Away from all the craziness, pretty quiet, super delicious, friendly welcoming staff!
I’d say this is where the locals eat, but I’m not sure…
Anyways! I live it here!
Probably the best friend green onions ever 🙃🙃
Kelly Jeans
Phenomenal Breakfast! Do not pass up this hidden gem! Definitely want to go again & try more of this wonderful local food!
Alice
Is there a better place for brunch in NOLA?! 🥓 Nope I don’t think there is so get in line, get a drink, it’s worth the wait. 🥂
Joshua Kesling
What a MEAL!!!! HUGE daily specials menu- Boudin Benedict and crab cake benny seemed the most popular.
I had a cornmeal waffle topped with a duck and sweet potato hash- FIRE FIRE FIRE!! FRIED GREEN TOMATOES ALSO A WIN!!
CaraBerr
Elizabeth's is a great breakfast spot for those who are looking to stay local in the Bywater. I first stumbled across Elizabeth's when I was visiting for VooDoo Fest in 2017 with my best friend. We feasted on pancakes, bacon, and coffee! Really great food, and a low-key, laid-back atmosphere.
EJ Sokias
A kitsch little diner in New Orleans’ Bywater. The praline bacon is a local special: fried bacon, coated and baked with sugar and crushed nuts. Friendly and welcoming staff. We visited on game day so there was a great atmosphere.
Chelsea Bussey
I never knew this place existed. I ran into 4 people I knew from New Orleans Athletic Club on the way to our table. Everything was great, but the praline bacon was amazing.
Adam R. (Seriustruth)
Clean facility, short wait, fast service, friendly staff, great patina, awesome menu choices. Can't wait to visit again. 😋👍 …
Frank Furgal
Great breakfast place. It's well worth the ride to get here. My wife had the steak and eggs and I have to say, that steak was amazing. 01.31.23 update I had the smoked pork chops with sausage gravy and eggs. Great smoked flavor and the sausage gravy is one of the best I ever had tasted. Fresh biscuit with a hint of corn meal. Carrie had a burger with a blue cheese sauce and praline Bacon. The fries were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy. This is one of the best breakfast spots in New Orleans.
Jennifer Weathers
Great staff! They were super friendly and welcoming! Would for sure go again and try more menu items. Make sure you get something that you can’t get anywhere else…. Elizabeth’s Breakfast or the Eggs Florentine! Very great food, homey and delicious!
Do yourself a favor and PLEASE order the Bacon Praline 👏👏 LIFE CHANGING 👏👏
Kevin Chew
Phenomenal food, great atmosphere, unbelievably fast service. Highly recommend the praline bacon. The Irish coffee kicks like a mule.
Traveling Goose
I really enjoyed this place, the atmosphere is eccentric and fun, the staff are super friendly, and even better is the food! If you’re in the area I definitely recommend popping in for a bite!
Sean Kirschner
I’ve gotta be honest, I was a little disappointed. Was very excited looking at their menu and the vibe was great, but the grits were runny and everything just seemed under seasoned. Lots of other things on the menu I want to try, so I’ll be back, but…
Delana Harris
Amazing brunch! Great service! Will be back. Go say hey to Nelwyn & Megan!!
Kelly D'Auria
Decided to give Elizabeth's another try, this time for lunch. The staff were friendly.
Started with mimosas & praline bacon (so, good...a must have here!). My husband had the shrimp po'boy with a side of grits, which he really enjoyed. I had the country breakfast which consisted of 2 eggs (any style, I had over easy), pork chops with gravy, grits & a biscuit. The pork chops were a little on the dry side but overall an enjoyable meal.
Vee Brown
First of all, Jessica is an amazing server. I appreciate her understanding what I was looking for and making wonderful suggestions. We ordered a bunch of things so let me break it down. My banana fosters were extremely delicious. My husband swore the chicken livers melted in your mouth! He loved them. I'll take his word for it! The sauce that comes with them, he also enjoyed. The steak with cheese grits and eggs were seasoned well. My husband said it was cooked perfectly. The basic breakfast was also good. The praline bacon was delicious. I'll tell you that we visited another spot in the quarter the day before and though this spot has very long lines and is famous, we had to season everything that was brought to the table. We didn't have to do that at Elizabeth's. The food was done right.
Mandy Trotter
Food was fantastic. Praline Bacon (pig candy) was phenomenal!
Kassie Peterson
This was great place while on vacation! We ordered praline bacon, this was too sweet for us. Also tried the rice balls, surprisingly tasty! We also ordered banana foster French toast and avocado toast. Both were very good with very large portions. Service was wonderful
Bryant Thomas
Real deal New Orleans brunch. No frills, but man is the food good. Perfectly spiced Bloody Mary’s, crispy boudin balls and the best crab cake Benedict (I added fried green tomatoes to kick it up a notch 😬) made for a perfect Sunday brunch in Bywater. We will for sure be back when we’re in town. …
Kelly
From the velvet waffles to the breakfast burritos.. one of the best restaurants I've had breakfast in
Jessica Delmonte
The drinks were amazing. Food was a little on the cold side coming out but overall experience was good.
Jessica Caryll
Service was fantastic- Billy made the whole experience wonderful. Food was delicious and the Bloody Mary was perfection!
Terrence King
A very nice and cozy breakfast spot just minutes from the French Quarters. If you want to venture out of the Quarters to try one of the local favorites look no farther than Elizabeth's.
Jennifer Franklin
Incredible food! Worth the short trip to Bywater to have lunch or brunch here!
Jiro Newton
We arrived before 8am and didn’t have to wait for a table. The server was amazing and answered all our questions. I must say, if you love bacon, try the Praline Bacon appetizer!!! It’s amazing! The waffle is great as well. I also tried the Banana’s Foster French Toast; it’s worth at least trying if you like bananas.
Eddie G.
What an awesome fun colorful place to come eat some fantastic food! The staff and fun and friendly and the atmosphere is great to come eat home-cooked meals. It's seems small at first but they do have some outside seating and an upstairs to make sure to get you a seat. Come early in the day(open @ 8am) so your wait is minimal.
Enjoy!

I've heard so many things about Elizabeth's that we had to come here from the other side of the country. The building itself is charming. The food is amazing! All the different flavors mixed together make it unique.
The service is prompt and easy going.
Meagan Kaupp
Elizabeth's now offers fine dining dinners on Thursdays and Fridays. Since I love their brunch so much, I had to try their dinner options. IT WAS AMAZING! I got the filet tips with the king oyster mushrooms and onion sauce with rice. Will definitely be back to try more!
Rebecca Palmer
Excellent brunch place!!! Fried green tomatoes with shrimp were awesome! We loved everything we got, and it is definitely a place we would go back to eat!
Lawrencia L
Awesome food. Great for brunch. They even had an awesome playlist. I suggest you get there early because they can have a wait. There were accommodating to our party of 5. The drinks were also delicious, particularly the jalapeño pineapple Margarita.
Lawren Broussard
This place did everything right! We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes w/ Shrimp and Remoulade, fantastic! We ordered the Eggs Florentine, amazing! I didn't like poached eggs before this dish. The Fried Louisiana Oysters were cooked to perfection! I ordered a mimosa, it was like 3 in one and I was able to keep the plastic Elizabeth's cup! Colleen was out server. She had great energy, and was very attentive. I highly recommend Elizabeth's!
Sabrina Keesey
This place is absolutely fantastic, we got 3 different items and though it is pricey, you get to bring home left overs.
My wife got redneck tomatoes with grits and a waffle with fresh strawberries, both were absolutely amazing. I got Eggs Elizabeth with hashbrowns, this is very rich and exploded with many different flavors. My only complaints are prices, but in this economy that's understandable
Dara P
Neighborhood place. Great food. There should have been some slices of French bread to go with that Benedict. Caught an eye roll when I asked for separate checks but I have her a 20+% tip anyway. There was a person in our party who doesn't want to pay for more than she consumes. So the rest of us indulge her.
Rattanak Um
The foods and the waitress we had were Jordan. She was super sweet and helpful. We ordered sugar bacon, chicken waffles and French toast burrito. The bacon and the chicken were delicious, but the burrito was a bit too much for my taste, good concept but just not my fav.
Roosevelt Stacy
I had red fish with curry sauce and shrimp. Scrumptious. Also my dinner companion had gooey dessert, which we shared. Fun and delicious entree, dessert. Greatly recommended restaurant, down home atmosphere.
Bekah Galang
Food was good! Service was a little slow, and the duck waffle was definitely topped with sweet potato mash- not hash. French toast burrito and the steak and eggs were amazing.
Karen Jones
Absolutely amazing brunch! We had the grit cakes & praline bacon for appetizers. Then the French toast burrito, Eggs Elizabeth & the red velvet waffle special... everything was great. Amazing service, eclectic atmosphere.
Desiree
Absolutely stellar breakfast! Free street parking or small lot next to restaurant. Can eat outside or inside. Fun atmosphere and delicious eats. Drinks are a ganerous size. Whole milk available. Homemade fixings for the bloody Mary. Definitely worth a visit. Try the praline pecan bacon!
Shanae Lyttle
First time in New Orleans and I found this gem during my last day in town! I neverrrr give five stars but Elizabeth’s got five from me. Everything was wonderful and FRESH. We ordered the crab cake poached eggs, catfish meal, boudin and grit cake appetizers! Surprisingly I liked the Irish coffee which is a large order! I could’ve shared that cocktail with my boyfriend.

A NOLA FAV‼️😋🤩🤗❤️ CUTEST FACE AND MOST DELICIOUS FOOD.
Anthony Gradney
No reservations, so get there between 8-9am to make sure.
Praline bacon and banana foster french toast are amazing. The Pimms cup mimosa also great. Hipster atmosphere, great wait staff, food comes out quick. Lots of parking across the street (along the levee, paved parking lot).
Luna B.
Ok. Let's get the the positives out first.
For a party of 5, the wait was not long. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. The food was well prepared and the price was within reason. All this to say, Elizabeth's is a great place for brunch.
Now lets get into the reason for 3 stars.
We decided to have brunch at Elizabeth's instead of our usual place (Jack Rose) because one of our party members is a regular there and he has been suggesting to have brunch there, for a while.
As mentioned before, everything was great; however, our waiter (Megan) only checked on us once and never offered any refills. Fortunately, good food and conversation kept our mind off of our empty cups. When it came time to pay, we were able to split the check.
After paying for our meal, the waiter(Megan) came back to the table to question the only person who didn't tip (The fore-mentioned regular).
HE WAS COMPLETELY EMBARRASSED.
The waiter kept asking, 'why he didn't tip' and saying if her service was good, why wouldn't he tip. He was mortifed. We were all mortified.
After a grueling questionnaire and a request by the waiter to leave, we decided to just get up and leave without causing a scene, since our host was already embarrassed enough without the whole restaurant looking at him.
For some background information, he was a victim of a tip scam, a few months prior, and now he only tips in cash. He simply forgot to bring cash with him. No biggie.
It's sad that our great experience, with the food and the atmosphere, was marred by waiter's demand for a tip from one person. It's safe to say, our next brunch will return to Jack Rose or The Chloe.
John Dlabal
Fabulously funky brunch vibes! The ambiance, the service and the food were all exceptional! As everyone says the praline bacon is a must try-salty, sweet crunchy bacon heaven! The banana foster french toast was everything my tastebuds craved as well!
Anastasia M
As a tourist I would recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans. I was told about this place by a fellow Lyft driver and he was not wrong at all about this food.
If you're a brunch lover like myself who enjoys a mimosas worth your buck and good southern food; this is definitely the place for you. I enjoyed the fried catfish and grits and their seafood gumbo is to die for (to me it doesn't taste like your typical gumbo more so of okra and tomato stew with seafood) but it was not short of delicious.
Also, if you enjoy spice much like myself ask for the Elizabeth's hot sauce! It will definitely make you spend the $6 on the bottle to take home.
Just make sure if you're staying in or near Bourbon Street or French Quarter DO NOT WALK HERE!
Twin Jamo
I enjoyed the food. Gave me that New Orleans taste I was searching for. Plus the staff was amazing; friendly and more than helpful. Made us feel like we were at home and we had known them forever. Loved the whole vibe.
Eric Salgado
Elizabeth’s came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. The servers were lovely and the food was very enjoyable. You can’t go here and not order the praline bacon. It is incredibly unique and delicious.
Rachelle Crews
Praline bacon is really great (it’s very sweet so if that’s not your preference don’t do it). Had the RedNeck breakfast with fried green tomatoes and eggs and hollandaise and it was yummy! Everything was great.
Bruce Clark
Excellent Breakfast and Brunch Stop...Wife had the Duck Waffle with Sweet Potato Hash topped with pepper jelly and a side of Chicken Sausage. I had the Shrimp and Tasso Omelet with Grits...Absolutely Delicious!!!
April Jacquo-Zarate
Maybe we caught them on a bad day?! We decided to stop in for breakfast on our last day in NOLA. This is a top rated restaurant on Yelp so we were very excited to try it.
The restaurant is quirky with a hodgepodge of decor. Our server was attentive and friendly...she gave us recommendations and a couple of her fav dishes. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had a standard breakfast plate (I don't recall the name of the dish) and an order of boudain balls.
My shrimp and grits were just ok. The sauce was different...more of a brown gravy. I'm ok with different except that the shrimp and sauce were totally bland. Also the shrimp weren't cleaned which is always a turn off for me.
The breakfast plate was ok, according to my wife. The "hasbrowns" were what Texans call home fries (thick cubes) not shredded as expected. The biscuits were home made, but so dense and dry she could barely swallow them.
The boudain balls were mostly filler like hush puppies or something and pretty flavorless. Also $4.50 per cup for standard drip coffee. I'm totally fine with drip coffee but it was nothing special and kind of weak. After spending several days in NOLA we had gotten accustomed to really good flavorful coffee.
On our way out we saw a dead roach on the floor.
Overall, the food was underwhelming. I would not recommend this restaurant or eat here again.

Came on a Saturday around 9:30am and did not have to wait for a table for 4. As soon as it was 10am the place became fairly packed.
Service was pretty efficient, it was comfortable and interesting decor to keep you distracted while you wait for the yummy food to arrive.
Duck waffles: waffle was soft and fluffy, sweet potato mash was so-so but not much duck. This was decent but the other dishes were superior.
Eggs Florentine: the sauce was delectable, eggs perfectly runny, potatoes super crisp and the fried oysters were not oily at all. A huge portion of food.
Country Breakfast with cheesy grits, smoked pork chop and biscuit: the pork chops had wonderful flavor, the biscuit was nice and buttery soft, the grits paired well to balance out the strong flavors.
Fried Chicken Liver with Pepper Jelly: easily our favourite dish of the meal and our trip so far. I've never had chicken liver cooked this way. It was not oily, the batter was very crunchy and the jelly helped balance out the richness of the liver.
Mary Rainey
Oh my goodness, you’re in for a treat. Praline bacon, fried green tomatoes, grit cakes, calas, and crab cake eggs Benedict made up our meal and I rolled out that door happy as a clam. The dark roast house coffee is bold without being bitter and the Pimm’s cup was generous
Darius Darthard
Ordered the shrimp and grits. Also, chicken and waffles. The food was okay. The service was okay. We noticed that other people got served that came in after us. Overall a decent experience, don't plan on coming back.
Amber Vizena
Such a delicious place! If you're on the fence about where to go hop off and get to this place!! We went around 9am and were able to sit immediately. We ordered the banana foster French toast and the Elizabeth's benedict breakfast and they were delicious! Hands down the best eggs Benedict I've ever eaten. Treat yourself to this amazing place.
Heather Cheves
Super great place for the perfect brunch. The food was amazing, the service was awesome and the ambiance and whole vibe of the restaurant was perfect!! I recommend locals and visitors add this to their list of places to go or make as your regular brunch spot! #redneckeggs
Kyle Reinfried
This place is a solid breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. I’ve been twice and both didn’t disappoint. It was recommended by an Airbnb host and for that I’m indebted.
There menu is big and they have great specials. Plus their bloody Mary’s are on point. It’s located right across from crescent park, so fill up, then walk it off!
Definitely get the praline bacon and the fried green tomatoes as sides/apps!! The crabby eggs were fantastic, so was the duck waffle, and the pork chop was amazing. However they smoke their meat is unbelievable!!
Can’t wait to go back!!
Ivan Gomez
Always amazing! Never had a bad meal. This time we got the Fried Boudin balls, Praline bacon, Crabby poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, Pulled pork poached eggs with smoking bbq hollandaise and The sweet potato duck hash on a cornbread waffle. Shared it all and it was amazing!
Bryan Munday
Great little corner restaurant. Bloody Mary was delicious!
Paul Miller
Yes, it's that good. There are no silk napkins, no crystal chandeliers, just a lot of really good food. We always try to make a trip to Elizabeth's whenever we're in town.
Tony Chung
Wait time on a Friday morning was about 45 mins. The service is good and the food was nice. We tried a bunch of specials from the board. Catfish, oyster po boy, fried chicken, and boudin with crawfish ettoufee. The fried chicken and oysters were a bit too salty. The boudin was okay but didn't blow us away with flavor.
H CR
Came by on a recommendation from a friend. You'll need to drive out along the river past the train station and beyond the French Quarter. It looks very unassuming and divey but has a good assortment of local traditional fare. Had a waffle with fresh whipped cream and strawberries. The whipped cream is so good and I would think has to be homemade. Also enjoyed the Bloody Marry which tasted like it had sweet pickle juice. Definitely recommend and will comeback for more that's on the menu!
Sawyer Lockleis
Great spot. Just don’t go when they’re busy. They rush the food service and most likely will give you some cold left out food if you place a “ to go “ order.
Aaron Young
Quintessential whole in the wall joint with smackin' @$$ food! The praline bacon is a must and the French toast burrito... yes, French toast burrito was a banger! The atmosphere is chill and the with tube soulful old school jams playing, I wasn't sure if I was dancing due to the music or the food. This place was recommended by a waitress from Costera in uptown and lit every single tastebud!
LeAnte Franklin
Southern breakfast with a contemporary twist. A creative menu featuring items like cornbread waffles and French toast breakfast burritos. Elizabeth's is definitely different from the rest and it succeeds in a way that breakfast restaurants rarely do. My burrito was a transcendent experience in flavors, and it wasn't just because of the French toast exterior. Everything from the eggs to the sausage to the bacon was cooked perfectly and had a flavor that was distinct amid a medley of different tastes. Elizabeth's is a must visit.

My friend and I just finished touring Chalmette National Monument and were a bit annoyed with each other. A hour long wait on a Saturday morning did not help alleviate the tension. We debated in the upstairs bar area over whether we should go somewhere else but ultimately decided to stay. Best decision ever! The food, staff and atmosphere was well worth it. It seems tourists from all over concur as I found a lot of luggage lingering in corners. Regardless, it was tasty and I was better off for the experience. My friend and I stopped being angry with each other and I do owe Elizabeth my gratitude for this. Kudos to the staff as well for making this experience that much more pleasant.

Real authentic vibe and plates, food portions are very generous. Staff was very friendly as other reviewers point out it was a bit noisy, service was pretty prompt and good. Parking was not too bad only a block away from the restaurant. I had a duck waffle, its not for everybody but it was very good and definitely a whole new addition to my pallet of flavors.
Lori McAfee
Such a fun spot! Praline bacon was all we heard about but the other dishes were even better. Cocktails were excellent and I appreciate the reusable straws! Thanks!
Busy but excellent service! Not much of a wait.
Katy Thompson
This is my favorite greasy spoon in the Bywater. You get massive meals for a fair price, plus it's all delicious.
Praline bacon is fabulous, you must try it at least once before you die. There are NO bad choices, but don't forget to check out the specials board for fabulous new items. If they're up there, the following are fabulous: Sardoy, Bananas Foster Pan Perdu, Cochon Benedict, fried green tomatoes.
Because the restaurant is small, plan to show up very EARLY or WAIT on weekend mornings. On weekdays, it's not as bad. No matter when, be prepared to park and hike as Bywater parking is notoriously hard to find.
Nick Pass
🚨HANDS DOWN BEST BREAKFAST SPOT IN NOLA🚨.
Two story home that has a bar on the 2nd level. While waiting to sit you can walk upstairs and enjoy the bar. Calm, cool, happy vibes throughout.
Restaurant sits right next to the canal in a residential neighborhood. I had Praline bacon, Boudin balls, and the eggs Florentine.
Can’t match the authenticity of this place anywhere else.
Monty Hunt
We really enjoyed everything that was brought to our table. As a group of four, we had three appetizers, two entrees and one side. I would order everything again, except there are so many more great things I need to try.
Mark Zeilinger
If you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the French quarters and I have really outstanding food this is a place to consider.
I love places that serve breakfast all day along with other foods. Not a huge menu but a lot of great choices. Definitely on my place to go next time I come. However, my wife was not as pleased with her meal as I was
num1lsufan
It is a very good breakfast spot and every plate as well as every menu option looked amazing. I thought the pricing was high for this style of eatery. Very creative menu with lots of interesting options... I had to try their famous praline bacon as well as their special of the day- chicken fried chicken.
Elizabeth GIbbs
Delishous food with a laid back atmosphere. No reservations, great local art featured, and good service. This place runs on its own time so be ready to spend some hours there but the time and trip is worth the visit. The t shirts they sell are very soft and good quality.
Gaylee
Ohh my! We had memosas as appetizers lol. The best bar none in their big cups. Breakfast was amazing, waffles were perfect bacon was crisp. Catfish was seasoned very well. The place was very busy so be prepared for a long wait. They've really turned this old Bywater neighborhood into something special never before seen. Parking is on the levy across the street.
John Bemis
A popular place for breakfast / brunch in the bywater neightborhood. Very nice service and pretty fast turnover so you won't have to wait too long for a table. That said we did not feel rushed to finish. The food was good and filling. Upstairs is cooler than down if you are there on a steamy summer morning.
Nick Langel
Irish coffee’s are strong, beware! Taste awesome tho, the food is a generous portions and chicken waffles are a great choice. Service was fast and friendly, and wasn’t too long of a line Saturday morning which is nice.
Phil L
Unusual menu
Great mix of flavors and combinations
Not your usual eggs and bacon
Definitely worth the trip but go early
Amber Cangelosi
Elizabeth's was amazing! The service was excellent and the food tasted like heaven. I got the friend chicken liver as an entree and my friend got the Eggs Elizabeth. Both were wonderful in our opinions.
Edison Coronado
Good place to go and have breakfast while experiencing a different area of New Orleans.
This place has good customer service and it's only 10 away from the downtown area.
Good quality of food I would definitely recommend it for friends and family.
Laura Boggs
The food is always amazing, but the service was bad. When we arrived, they said it would be a 10 minute wait. After 20 minutes we noticed people who arrived after us were being seated. Apparently they forgot to write our name down. It took 45 minutes for us to be seated. After we got our food, we had to ask two servers and wait 10 minutes before we were finally given forks.
The food was excellent. The French toast burrito is amazing!
Craig Reichel
Lovely restaurant with excellent food. Was a 45 minute wait for a table but well worth it. Everything we ordered was delicious and the coffee was strong. I highly recommend the bacon. My only complaint is that after we got our food no one checked to refill our coffee forcing us to wave over a server.
Brianna Cunningham
The food is all so delicious! There are so many items on the menu with such delicious flavors. I would for sure add this restaurant to my list of go to places for brunch. In terms of the space, the space is really cool. However, I do wish that the bathroom was a little cleaner and presentable. There were a few too many dead cockroaches on the floor.
Natalie Bailey
Worth a trip here for brunch. Staff was friendly; the atmosphere is NOLA. We ordered the praline bacon app, Eggs Elizabeth with hash browns (fried and salted cubed potato chunks) and a la carte eggs over easy (always my favorite).
We wish there were an a la carte bacon option with just 2 pieces for maybe $4 instead of the 4 pieces for $7- it was too much and the although I enjoyed its sweetness, my husband found it a bit much.
Afterwards, walk off your meal along Crescent Park and enjoy a gorgeous view of New Orleans!
Christopher Lyles
I've been here multiple times and it never ever disappoints. Today my party of 15+ was seated and served quickly and efficiently. The food was absolutely delicious and the brunch drinks are phenomenal.
Chip Vaughan
Excellent food and quick service!! We will be back. This is their Eggs Flourtine (fried oysters), French Toast Burrito & Boudin patties topped with poached eggs & crawfish etoufe'e sauce.
JP Obando
Excellent for breakfast or lunch after a night on Bourbon Street or just to enjoy a great local gem. Food is quick to be served and delicious to say the least! Definitely try the Praline Bacon to start and anything on the Special menu is good to go!
Brandon Z James
This off the path stop was amazing! I am not one to get fish tacos but after seeing a fellow table get it I knew that's what I wanted. I wish there was more, but at the same time between these two dishes I was incredibly full. However if you are gonna try one other dish be sure to grab the praline bacon, as a tasty treat! Be sure to check out the art work around the place, it's of a local artist Dr. Bob. If you are up for the 6 min walk head down the street and see his studio.
Will Sampson
Pretty solid breakfast brunch spot. A little too crowded for my taste and I think the quality suffers because of the crowded nature if the place. Worth a try but not necessarily worth a long wait.
munarriz cristian
What a culinary experience. The service is great and the atmosphere feels like home. I'm from out of town so SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND COME EXPERIENCE IT! FOOD IS BANGING YALL
Ajay Mohan
I got myself some coffee (must try), praline bacon (to die for 🤌🏼👌🏼), eggs florentine (good portion size but too pricey).
Overall great service and a good vibe to experience local cuisine.
Allie Graff
I wish I would've taken pictures of my food but they had the best gumbo I've ever tasted. The fried green tomatoes are out of this world! Definitely must try. You won't be disappointed.
General AKORBS
Great service, wonderful food, and good drinks. I decided to get fried green tomatoes along with something off their specials board which was the French toast burrito. The food was made so excellently and the drinks were pretty good.
Dani Herzog
Definitely try the praline bacon! It was so sweet and I really liked it. I added it to my eggs Benedict and it made the dish 100 times better.
Joshua Mayeaux
Recently visited after many years, and previously living two blocks away. The place is amazing. The staff never stops moving. Nothing on the menu is a bad choice. I could go on.
D Gibbs
Great food and atmosphere! The portions are ginormous. It was my wife’s birthday weekend. Through conversation, we found out two ladies around us all were having birthdays the same weekend. The server overheard us. About 20 minutes later three desserts with candles came out to the three ladies and the entire restaurant and staff sang happy birthday! What a great and memorable time!!!
John Duplantis
Well, I was going to take a pic of my food when it arrived to the table. I got so excited about the meal that I forgot. That should tell you everything you need to know about Elizabeth's. See pic... Bam!
Briana Correa
Got the chicken and waffles with cane syrup soo good. Also gave me the largest mimosa I've ever had that wasn't made by me!
Victor Gomes
Great brunch spot! Visiting for the weekend, coming after friend recommended it. Cheap drinks during happy hour and amazing food (shrimp po boy was bomb). The vibe was super cozy and unique - I will be passing on the recommendation!
Jamal Granderson
Elizabeth's was great. The atmosphere was very much New Orleans ⚜. The staff was phenomenal. Customer service was great and the food was delicious.
Steve Bardere
Wow! Awesome breakfast/brunch spot with delicious food!! We will be back
Marc Johnson
Some of the most creative and best food in the city! Try their many interesting and delicious dishes!
Jeff Horstman
Amazing food. Great staff. We eat here at least twice during each visit to New Orleans.
Doug
Great food and great service from Jessica! We shared the boudin, poached eggs, potatoes and crawfish Étouffée.
Sherri Cartwright
This place was recommended by our Uber driver James. It was really great Food. Would highly recommend! Shrimp and grits were Delicious!
Jerald Stein
Original decor, unusual, amazing breakfast menu, great hosts. Will be a regular stop in my NOLA travels.
Nickolas Martin
Best Shrimp PoBoys I have ever had! The atmosphere, service and food were incredible and exactly what our vacation needed. Would absolutely recommend and do not leave without the in house hot sauce!
Jayleese Le Blanc
The good was good and the atmosphere was as bright/light as the art work on the walls. I did get a FILTHY coffee mug.. there was brown build up inside the entire cup. When I mentioned it to our server she just said "OK" which seemed strange. The food was worth it though
Alex Brennan
Very good breakfast. Lots of variety so anyone should be able to find something on the menu. Offer bar drinks for those needing a little jump start to their day or some hair of the dog.
Brian Watson
Killer food mostly of a brunch style, but also poboys and burgers. Seating can fill up fast, but don't fret, there is bar seating upstairs.
Nicholas Feitel
Ended up here just googling about while staying in Bywater and later was congratulated by several friends for finding a great place without knowing. This was our breakfast, which pretty much speaks for itself. The food was incredible and the service very nice. Take a stroll in crescent park after!
Madeline Paige Hoffert
Excellent fried green tomatoes and grits. Also the most perfect poached egg I've ever had
Gregory Tacconi-Moore
AMAZING spot for breakfast! Make sure you come with an appetite because the portions are extremely generous! Cannot recommend enough the Country Breakfastthe pork chops are cooked to perfection and taste like ham steaks. Well worth the wait to get inside!
Jam Morena
I had a feast of a brunch and it was so goood! Try the calas if you've never had them before. And also look up the historical significance to new Orleans. Service is good, and although it's busy there's a bar upstairs to keep you occupied.
Jennifer goosman
All day long 5 stars. Our server Jasmine was amazing! The food and drinks were all fantastic. I have been visiting Elizabeth's for years and have never been disappointed. A must go if you are in Nola.
Cassie Sheffield
Absolutely amazing food, everything here is fabulous. Great vibe, good food, hip spot.
Alex Whiteman
Was recommended by the locals when I came here. Very down to Earth relaxed southern diner vibe. Go for their ridiculous chicken sando, for $8 you get a MASSIVE juicy, sweet & spicy home fried chicken thigh with slaw & pickles. Stay for Jasper, cool bartender who is great at picking up conversation.
Patricia Calloway
The breakfast was nice. The chicken sausage had a wonderful smokey flavor. We also had the chicken livers with homemade pepper jelly. Come hungry because you will receive a full plate of food. My only complaint was the eggs. The scrambled eggs were rubbery.
melissa barley
This is my favorite breakfast place in New Orleans. The fried green tomatoes and Eggs Elizabeth are so delicious that I came here two days in a row while on vacation.
Damian Alberti
Loved this place. Music, food and service were all great. You have to try the bacon! Gluten-free meals clearly marked.
SchmoMofo539
Great restaurant. Food was delicious. I had the French toast burrito and it was wonderful. The praline bacon is a must. Great atmosphere, great food, and great service.
Sarah Jane
Not especially vegetarian friendly, but the one vegetarian entrée they had was quite good! Cute little place, low lighting, since their vegetarian was good, I'm sure their other food is great too! A few of my local friends love this place.
Margo Desantis
Really great food...those fried green tomatoes might be the best I've ever had!! Wonderful service is a rustic neighborhood spot...im a big fan!
Benjamin White
Tasty food in an old house in the Bywater. Right across from Crescent Park for you to walk off your food coma. Cool art decorations on the wall. The crab cakes and boudin ball/crawfish etoufee specials we're delicious. Service was lousy. Grits were luke warm and kinda congealed into a pancake. The fried green tomatoes were tiny and gumbo was mediocre. 1 high chair in the restaurant. On street parking.
Isaac Garrison
I would probably go with 3.5 stars if I could. My eggs Florentine was good but the crabby eggs and egg bbq special were mediocre at best. Service was delivered grudgingly with few smiles and definitely no small talk. I think that may be part of the hipster vibe they are going for, not sure. The praline bacon would be the only reason I would go back.
Porsha Beasley
When you ask for a mimosa you get a 16 ounce cup of a mimosa with mostly champagne and a pinch of juice. Plus the food is flavorful and the staff is nice. Perfect for a boozy brunch!
Kyra Williams
One of my breakfast spots in New Orleans. Get there early- it gets busy and they don’t take reservations. In a cool neighborhood with a funky vibe, the service is outstanding and food is delicious. Try the praline bacon, the fried green tomatoes and the grits.
Shane Griffin
This place is great. It was suggested to me earlier in the year as I started my work in NO. He was right. Always great food.
Everything you get has the Elizabeth flair added to it.
Whether it's the candied bacon in the burger or the sausage gravy on top of your chicken fried steak, you cant go wrong. You must try the smoked TBone it is out of this world
Jamie Dee
Fantastic service and food! Our server Billy was amazing! The steak and eggs was delicious and highly recommend, large portions easy to share and cooked perfectly to order. This is THE brunch stop of our vacation! We would definitely return ❤️
SK Reid
Food is delicious, bar drinks are plentiful. Very eclectic breakfast choices, food is delicious and very fresh! We tried biscuits and gravy, waffles, chicken liver with jalapeno jelly and of course praline bacon!
Jacky R
A little pricey. Food was so good we went two days in a row. They were able to accommodate our large group of 10+ quickly. Lower and downstairs seating. It is now on our list of NOLA must stops.
Tiffany Tyler
Best food of the whole trip!!! EVERYTHING is good! It was an extremely busy Sat brunch, but Alex upstairs got us seated and took great care of us!!
Dominque Cohen
They charge an additional fee , without your knowledge or consent, to each item ordered. It is SUPPOSED to be a ‘negligible’ 4% BUT check your bill because they charge over 10% on items . Food is decent even great at times, this visit wasn’t the best.
dank.magician
This place has unique menu items and the service and food are always top tier. You can never go wrong with a morning meal here.
Hila Fogel-Yaari
The food is delicious and the service is excellent. If you're there for the weekend brunch, make sure to try the Banana Foster French Toast. But everything else we had was great too, including the grits.
Angela Youngblood
One of the best spicy bloody mary's I have ever had. I just ordered a bloody mary and some boudin balls with dijon. Both were delicious. Everyone was friendly and the place had fun art on the walls. The place had a nice vibe and was a short walk to Cresent Park.
Eric quintanilla
The service was great and everyone was super friendly but the Food was just okay. I got the chicken and waffles and it was not very good besides the syrup. My girlfriend Got the shrimp fritz and she didn't like it too much either.
Jake Hawkesworth
We enjoyed this place -- it was loud downstairs but very cool. Upstairs was quieter and sunny. The food was good but the bloody Mary's were a little weak
Thomas Scheff
Amazing breakfast. You could order eggs any style and be very happy, but you can get that anywhere. You're in New Orleans, eat like it and get the specials.
Mark Mower
I live in North Carolina a bottle of the Chef Byron Habanero Hot Sauce Mysteriously Appeared on my door knob, I I have been putting It on Everything except Ice Cream, Hahahahahahahaha 😂!!! …
Pieter Lekkerkerk
Came across the place during an early walk through Bywater. I hadn't had breakfast yet so I opted for coffee and a bayou breakfast (with catfish). I can't complain about the food, but at a total of 25 usd including tax and tip, I feel cost-benefit is out of kilter
Marc Gullick
Had a lovely breakfast ,shrimp and fried greentomatoes, poached eggs Elizabeth,
Poached eggs, boudin balls hash browns ,(potato bravas) nelwyn was great would highly recommend
Bill Cheatham
Favorite brunch... over in the eclectic Bywater area of New Orleans. Chef Bryon Peck, a California native transitioned and rooted himself in the culture of Louisiana cuisine... a little combination of French, Southern, Cajun & Creole.
The food is fantastic, all ingredients locally sourced and made from scratch. The atmosphere is low key and funky, which is exactly what you would expect in the Bywater neighborhood.
Chef Bryon does a wonderful job putting together a very creative menu with a variety of offerings. Who would’ve thought you could improve bacon... how about Praline Bacon? Yes please!
The Brunch entrees are awesome. Love the “Eggs Florentine”- creamed spinach and fried oysters over potatoes topped with poached eggs and hollandaise. It doesn’t get any more New Orleans than that.
Lines are long and they get packed. Go early to hopefully beat the rush, but it is definitely worth the wait.
Kate Bender
Amazing the blue cheese and BBQ oysters we're great so was the pecan waffle and praline bacon must try!!
Steph Smith
Was a cool location and atmosphere, the waffle was good, but the duck topping wasn’t amazing (the jelly is a bit strange on top, and it didn’t have a lot of flavour). Praline bacon was a cool novelty, but a tad overwhelming with all the sugar.
Ashlee Kraus
I am in love with Elizabeth's ! My fav is the redneck eggs! Great atmosphere , perfect food, def one of my stops when I come home to visit. Their bloody Mary's are perfection.
Yana Yotova
We had the cornbread waffles with duck and sweet potato... what a treat! Great vibe and cute atmosphere 👌
Tyler Hudgins
Definitely a great breakfast pave to visit. It's not close to the typical new Orleans/french quarter places but definitely worth the trip and it's definitely walkable from the frenchman st area. Brunch is good and their specials are worth it. Pictured the shrimp and grits and it was great!
Maddy Hart
Loved this place for breakfast. Great selection of choices and the praline bacon and callas are standouts for sure! I got a red velvet waffle and it actually tasted like true, well made red velvet cake (hint of chocolate taste) which was a nice surprise as most red velvet things don’t. Husband got a pecan waffle which was also delicious. Our server was great and the building is spacious and even has outdoor seating. Great location to take a walk along the canal over the rusty rainbow after. Recommend!
Sarah Antell
Busy & loud, Elizabeth's is a staple tourist restaurant in the Bywater that features art by Dr.Bob. the food was...it was alright. Either over salted or not seasoned enough.
Chasity J.
First time visiting Elizabeth’s for their tasty breakfast! The service was great, fast, and organized to say that I was in a party of 8. The Banana Foster Stuffed French Toast is not stuffed as the menu said. It was delicious nonetheless. The grits were perfect and the eggs were fried beautifully. I will return!
Half Ogre
Excellent breakfast! Fabulous decor! Nice staff 🙂 Loved the praline bacon! 😁 …
mike powell
Very good.. the crabbie cakes were delicious and the Bloody Mary very restorative for someone with killer jet lag 😵💫 …
Sarah Lipnica
Food and ambiance were phenomenal 🤩 What a great way to conclude an awesome trip with friends 😉 We highly recommend this place ☺️ …
Kate Blocker
Sunday brunch - every bit of the experience was fantastic. The drinks are STRONG but delicious - you definitely get your money's worth! We had the shrimp and grits, boudin special, and callas -- all delicious! Definitely recommend looking up the story of callas and tasting this bit of Louisiana history. Highly recommend Elizabeth's to anyone in town.
M B
If there were 10 stars I would do that instead of 5. This place is right on the corner of Gallier St and Chartres St. I happened to just look this place up while I was in New Orleans and I lucked out because the food was delicious. This is a neat little two story place with a bar upstairs.
I ordered two fried eggs, grits, and chicken livers!
Sounds like a crazy combination but it was delicious and I would recommend it to anyone that visits. Of course liver is an acquired taste but the ones here are yummy! They have a spicy marmalade on top of them as well. This place has a laid back and eclectic vibe to it! Enjoy this place!!!
Jennifer Medus
This place has some amazing food and fun atmosphere. My favorite is the dream burger with the praline bacon. Just note that lunch items are only served on weekdays.
Plus a walk at crescent park across the street is great on a pretty day.
Kendall Gibson Miller
I have thought about Elizabeth's constantly since the first time I visited there. At the time I was living in Baton Rouge, so it wasn't like I could go wherever I wanted. Now that I live in NOLA, Elizabeth's is one of the first places I think of when I have people visit me. I have yet to have anything that was not delicious. Weekends tend to be super busy, so you may have to wait, but it's definitely worth it. This restaurant has such a fun and laid-back vibe. I love love love this place. And definitely try the praline bacon.
Joe xxxxxx
This is an amazing restaurant. Great food, cocktails, and music. My spirits were lifted at Elizabeth's.
Rhonda Magee
Food was great as usual! I wish they had a kids menu but we made due utilizing the a la carte menu.
Jennifer DeGruy
Bloody Marys and great food! The half and half waffles were delicious 😋 …
Nicole Johnson
Elizabeths is off the beaten path but well worth the 15 min drive. After 7pm it gets busy. Reservations suggested. Food was awesome. Fish was cooked to perfection.
Colleen Welch
Went on a Friday around noon, was meeting with my daughter and a few friends for a small baby luncheon for my daughter, we loved it, employees and our server was amazing, food and drinks was absolutely delicious, we had a great time, will definitely go back
Marco Pazorell
The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because you need a flashlight to be able to read the menus, the place is very dark! Overall, the meats are good quality, but not happy with the glazes they add to some of the meats. Service is good, ambiance is vintage.
If you can't find parking on the street you can park across the street on the Crescent park parking lot.
Fabrianne Pedregon
Great service and cool bywater vibe. Good is good, isn't the best brunch but I liked it.
michael hott
Carribean and southern kitchen. Very tasty and nicely presented food. Staff is really nice. The whole ambient comes across comfy, but suits fancy occasions as well. It's kinda pricy, but I wanna stress again the fact that the price reflects the quality of the food. I can really recommend that to everyone interested in local/creole cuisine!
Miranda Karr
The atmosphere was amazing and the food was even better! Great spot for brunch!
Nikoleta Sremac
So good! Sat us right away, service and food were great. I had the duck and sweet potato hash waffle with an Irish coffee. Amazing.
Blake Holliman
Best Place to eat in all of Louisiana… you will not be disappointed with any item on the menu.
Richard Patino
Really good and incredible place to eat.
Expect to wait in pick hours.
Morgan Smith
The food and drinks were great. The service was meh. Would go back and hope for better service.
Christina Hamilton
This was my third time here and it's just as great as ever. Fun, colorful space with amazing food, probably the best we've had in NOLA this week, TBH. Worth the quick Lyft ride over indeed. Don't miss it!
Mary “Catt” Mendoza
Not as good as I was expecting. The hollandaise was very unusual tasting, as if it had vinegar in it. That could have been from poaching the eggs, but maybe they didn't dry off the eggs after taking them from the water. Also, the gravy biscuits had way too much green onion, and the gravy was too thick and needed more liquid. My husband was not impressed with the French Toast burrito, too gimmicky. The service was okay. The servers kind of seemed annoyed or maybe smug, not sure which. Fried green tomatoes were excellent.
Valerie Rich
The food was delicious!! The staff were really nice!
Edward Baran
Super friendly service by Sasha and delicious food. Bloody Mary's came with reusable straws and cup to take home/to go.
Destiny B
It's a pretty wait for brunch on Sunday but then again my husband and I were here for essence weekend. But after the wait the food came out very quickly. Chicken and waffles amazing ! I order a side of avocado because I love avocado 😂 …
Huw Bryant
Great place for dessert. The pecan pie was definitely a highlight. Nice decor and relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend.
Allyna Moton
Jasmine was my favorite server of the weekend. She was very informative and offered great suggestions.
My over medium eggs came fried or over hard, my grits were just ok and the chicken sausage was good.
Adam Mosley
Did the basic breakfast with grits and hashbrowns the first time and a waffle with berries on the last morning in town. Both were outstanding! Grits were off the chart awesome!
Cheryl Dilgard
Great food, had to wait for a table, but not long, service was pretty good.
J Carter
Highlight of my life = Praline Bacon
Taking two greate staples and fusing them together is like tasting a piece of heaven after waking up froma sweet dream.
Orlando Velez
Great food, cool staff! One of my favorite dishes... Shrimp and Grits!
Damian Arocho
Bit of a wait for a table for 4, but that's to be expected when people are in town for events. We sat outside at one of the picnic tables. It was right next to the road but traffic was not an issue when we were there. My wife says the Pecan Waffle she had was the best waffle she's ever had! French toast burrito was pretty damn tasty too.
B G
60 with tip, 2 men and there was leftovers and my partner had a bloody. Great food, solid service. Highly recommend patronize this spot.
Omar Leos
Great food and super easy to get in for brunch. Would definitely come here again when I’m in the Big Easy.
Harrison
There was a slight wait for a table, but this restaurant was certainly worth it. The food was delicious and nobody in my party left unsatisfied. The staff was nice and attentive. I would recommend this spot to anyone.
Sam Speer
Delicious. The best meal we had in a week in New Orleans. Go for the fried boudin balls and oysters florentine!
Tone Love
The waitress was nice and the food was ok. Clean bathrooms. Not bad but nothing to write home about.
Vicki H.
This is a dining experience! Plan a short wait for breakfast. But it is worth the wait! Bloody Mary's are delicious along with other full bar options. We meet the lovely manager who stopped at our table to chat and make us welcome to their establishment. The experience was delightful. Take in the art inside and out. Daily specials available and now open 7 days a week. Breakfast and lunch only here.
Bernie Haberberger
Great food and atmosphere. Real NOLA feel. The whole family enjoyed the visit.
Caleb Brown
One of my favorite places to eat ever. Always a good time.
David Benjamin
Great breakfast. The praline bacon was 10/10. The cornbread duck hash waffle was too filling for for me to finish, but it was very tasty. Convenient location for a walk over the rusty rainbow after.
Chris C
I had the country breakfast. I was full all day! Definitely a place to visit when staying in NOLA
krizash
We came in for the Praline bacon but I got the Dream Burger. Oh man, one of the best burgers I've ever had. I don't usually leave reviews but when the patty juices soaking into the bread actually make the burger better instead of a soggy mess I have to say something. Chefs kiss.
Cristina Twigg
The food was delicious, the serving size MASSIVE, and the service was excellent. Could not have been happier.
Christina Gonzales
This place was okay. The BEST thing they have here is their Fried Green Tomatoes. Trust me. GET EM. Bread Pudding was better at Creole Cookery. I probably would only come here again for the fried green tomatoes tbh. Everything else was fairly mediocre... including the service. Not bad, just not as good as I expected given the reviews I read before going.
Becca F
Really enjoyed my first brunch experience at Elizabeth's. I liked the layout and decor of the restaurant. We got lucky and didn't have to wait for a table.
We were seated at the bar upstairs, which was no big deal. It was a busy Sunday morning but the wait for food wasn't long. Had a delicious Pimm's Cup with my French Toast Breakfast Burrito. Will be back for more!
agustin herrera
People kept telling me about other places to have breakfast at but this is the spot. Food made with such love and freshness. Great home feeling to the place, beautiful decor and a good cup of coffee. Highly recommend checking this place out if in town.
Billie Hawkins
So good. So. So. Good. Praline bacon is a must. Been here maybe 10 times. Never a disappointment.
Zeke Cao
Can't go wrong here. Do the praline bacon and any specials they have. Worth the wait around the block.
Heather Ziegenmeyer
Worth the trek out there. We really had ourselves a banquet, and everything was delicious. One of the highlights of our trip to New Orleans!
Carrie Grice
I loved the Red Neck's Breakfast. I love fried green tomatoes and these were done perfectly.
Darrell Wallace
Great service. Tasty food. Definitely worth a stop!
Gregory Drinkwater
Food was insane. I had the fried oyster eggs benedict and cheese grits. It was fantastic. Staff is super nice and friendly. Great laid back place to eat.
Joseph Seifert
Between the excellent bloody mary's and the deliciously decadent food, Elizabeth's gave us the itis. Expect a wait for brunch, but go to the bar while you wait! Definitely a tight footprint and lively crowd, but good times and good eats.
yogesh pawar
Great atmosphere, great decor. The food was excellent, we had banana foster French toast and omelette with chorizo sausage. Both the dishes were very delicious snd felt like we were eating something special. The coffee was really good too. You can also park right across the street. Overall great New Orleans experience and a must try.
Shannon Barnes
The hashbrowns aren't hashbrowns. They are southern style potatoes/home fries. Delicious none the less. Service wasn't great but due to staffing issues they had only a hostess and 2 waitresses so it was as good as can be expected. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back again.
Jeannae Sims
Great food, service was a bit slow but the staff is super friendly
Shannon Cusick
Food and service were amazing!! They didn't have 3 of the items on their menu which I tried to order but the 4th try I got something. Lol so try not to set your heart on anything there, be open minded and you won't regret it. Not sure what the hype is on their bloody marys - came out of a Gatorade cooler and was watered down. I had a better one at the French Market at a drink stand, and I'm not that picky. Anyways, giving them 4 stars because there were a few shortcomings but the place really is great.
Matt Shaffer
Great little dive. Burrito was good not great. However will totally come back

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is my server was very unattentive despite his friendly demeanor. The food was amazing! The rest of the staff was great and I would eat here again. However, next time I will be sitting inside.
Chantilly Lace
Delicious food and really chill vibe. Full bar upstairs that you can go to while waiting. I wouldn't bring kids there because of the wait.
Fried green tomatoes are a great appetizers.
Derricke Zehner
Great breakfast food. Very friendly staff. The praline bacon is to die for!!!
Christine Hopkins
Great atmosphere and loved the food. It's stays busy so go early for breakfast.
Jane Vie
Bananas foster French toast and a basic breakfast. Food was great. I would highly recommend this funky little place.
Tonette Patterson
Great place to eat.. wonderful crew over there..
Dawn Taylor
The food here was so Amazing💗 & different. Definitely recommend.💯
Annjo Balbutin
One of the TOP spots in NOLA. Wow the fried green tomatoes we the BOMB!!!
Lazie Girl
Love that they are forcing you to be vaccinated to dine here never disappointed when I visit this spot
Grace Shou
Went here today with my family, and we loved it! Very fun vibe in the restaurant, our server was super sweet and attentive, and food was amazing. Biggest winners were the praline bacon, bananas foster french toast, and the eggs Florentine with the fried oysters. Yum! Definitely recommend for brunch.
Eric Lewis
Great comfort food! The service is good. Pleasant atmosphere! Prices are great. The gumbo was awesome!
Lincoln Reynolds
Absolutely amazing food in a charming little old building. Go for brunch, and get the praline bacon.
Thomas Fiut
I just had garden salad with grilled chicken bit it was really good. The service was good also. My only complaint was the beer selection. The only regular beer they had was coors light. All the rest of the beers were in pastel colored cans. I don't mind trying a new craft beer or whatever once in a while but I prefer it be my choice. I don't want to be forced into it. (I just had iced tea).
Nathan Phillips
When the guidebook says you should visit Elizabeths for breakfast, you had better not blow past it or just go and grab a croissant, you deserve more, you deserve to go to Elizabeth's! When you're there, make sure you check out their specials board because that's where they really shine
Keely Lewis
The Pimm's Cup with ginger beer was good, had a couple of those. We ordered a selection of appetizers. The grits cakes were our favorite. The fried chicken livers, not as much. They weren't fried evenly- there were perfectly cooked pieces with over fried bits. I initially ordered the crab cakes, which were disappointing. Our server replaced it with their smoked pork chop breakfast. It was absolutely delicious!
Stephen Benson
Amazing food. Highly recommend!
brittany hale
Awesome food with a mellow neighborhood mainstay environment. Dr Bob art all over the walls. Food is crazy delicious. Home of praline bacon!
tyler starr
Great food and service. I had the catfish and eggs. Looking forward to returning
Sheena
Great place for brunch. The French toast burrito is definitely worth trying. My boyfriend has the bloody Mary and really enjoyed it. Service was great.
Kierra Mikell
Me and my best friend came here for a birthday brunch and we weren’t disappointed! The wait wasn’t long at all surprisingly for a Saturday morning. The praline bacon and bananas foster French toast was definitely worth mentioning as well as the mimosas and fried green tomatoes app! 👌🏽 will definitely make it a point to return next time I’m in Nola. If you’re looking for a great brunch/lunch spot you won’t be disappointed in Elizabeth’s!
Winston Lewis
Haven't been here in a while so tried it this morning... Firstly, great service and attentiveness from all the staff encountered. The disappointment was the food. Ordered several items off the menu, and was surprised when the food came out in about 5 mins! Chicken with the waffles was tough and dry (seemed like it sat under a heat lamp), and the pork chops were tough and chewy. Definitely the quality of food didn't match what I remembered. I'm a local so I'm not being overly critical... the oysters, hash browns and eggs were good.
Suzee Edwards
It was our last day in New Orleans and our Uber driver recommended Elizabeth's as our last stop before heading home to FL. I'm so happy we went. Order something off of their breakfast menu because I believe it's what they're known for and I can see why. Amazing!!
EJ T.
Elizabeth's!
Located just a short jaunt from the French Quarter in the Bywater area. This classic eatery is a must see if even only for the great local art.
With the Mississippi River at its porch you can enjoy brunch along with their well known spicy Bloody Mary's. Just expect to wait and know that customer service will most like fall into the river during their busy hours.
Max Polaner (Personal)
The perfect Bywater vibe, a great menu, and everything was delicious.
Brandy Roberts
When I knew I was going to Nola for a show, I put Elizabeth in the hat for Sunday brunch. We were a five top table and sat outside with the beautiful weather. They were busy as always but great service otherwise. Fantastic options even for a vegetarian.
Amy Douglas
Amazing meal, wonderful staff... great experience!
Emma Stevens
Cute place with great food. Our party loved the praline bacon and I could talk about the banana foster french toast for days! Well priced and great service!
Alex Harvey
Had to have the praline bacon, it was good, but I thought too sweet. Regardless, it was a good breakfast.
Eduardo Duarte
Short wait time , awesome customer service and the food tasted great! Wide variety of local food that as a tourist I enjoyed trying! Definitely recommend if you are nearby!
José Torrez
Delicious breakfast! Crab cakes and bacon were amazing! The eggs Benedict were perfect. Would definitely come back when I visit New Orleans again.
Laura Fields
Best breakfast I've ever had int New Orleans are!
Waffles fluffy! Fried green tomatoes to die for! The hash browns, grits, the bread for the Benedict style eggs is out of this world!
I highly recommend!

The food was good, especially the duck waffle, praline bacon, and seafood gumbo. However our server, Billy, was extremely overbearing and hovered close to an unusual degree *and* was NOT wearing a mask (despite the mask mandate in the city at that time), which made all of us uncomfortable. I did not deduct stars for that because the food was good, but I wish I had said something.
camille cochran
Don’t come here if you’re trying to be healthy, but come here if you’re looking for GREAT New Orleans brunch. Get the praline bacon and some
Friend green tomatoes. And whatever the waitperson suggests!
nolabrooke
Can't believe it took me so long to dine here! The fried oyster salad was so good and the oysters were perfectly crispy. My husband had a huge plate of meatloaf and mashed potatoes and loved it. He had a margarita and I had the pineapple, jalapeno margarita. Sooo good and I was still sipping it when I got home cuz the serving size was so generous. Had I known how much I'd love this happy Nola place while my kids were at NOCCA right down the street, I'd have been here daily! Probably a good thing I waited until they graduated. 😉
Bret Cunningham
Fun, eclectic, great food, perfect "off the beaten track" place to bring out of toen guests for breakfast! Duck confite waffles, french toast dipped breakfast burrito.. all creative and delish
Blake Young
True creole restaurant! Anticipate a long wait for lunch, but worth the wait. Fried green tomatoes and French toast were delicious.
Barbara Yates
OMG I love this place. Great food and wonderful local wall candy. Never disappointed. And one helluva spicy Bloody Mary.
Shane Spruiell
This is the best hidden restaurant that you can go to in the Bywater. It is always a must when we are in town.
Renee Buikema
So. Good. We walked 40 minutes from our hotel to get here and it was well worth it. Great servings and delicious food.
Anudeep Gupta
Ordered eggs and a grilled chicken salad , it was amazing and also I’d recommend to try the duck waffle , you’ll be surprised by the taste of it
Margaret Moyeda
Food is authentic and tastes amazing. Waitress went above and beyond when we could not get wifi to order Lyft service for pick up. She was gracious enough to order a car for is on her account. To sweet of her she had real down home hospitality!
Ken Robertson
Let me just say this about Elizabeth. This is the ultimate place for a New Orleans breakfast. I've never had a finer breakfast anywhere in the world. Very eclectic and hip and even though there are a lot of tourists there it is just a great place to Chow down on some of the most delicious breakfast entrees you'll ever find anywhere. If you think I'm raving about this place, you would be right!
Wayne Boyko
Finding decent and affordable breakfast/brunch places on Sunday mornings is always challenging. Elizabeth's was both. My wife had the basic breakfast while I had the Eggs Elizabeth, their take on Eggs Benedict. Food was great, coffee with chicory a fine accompaniment. We would have gone for the mimosas, but they seemed a bit pricey at $12 a pop. All in all, though, a great place.
Wendell Ramos
Great breakfast menu. Quality foods with a friendly environment. Great art work displayed throughout the restaurant. Chelsea was amazing.
Jewels
This place was great for many reasons:
-Really friendly staff
-brought water to the table at first interaction
-GIANT MIMOSA in a keeper cup
-large portions
-interesting menu for adventurous eaters and also served the basics
I had some kind of crazy, delicious breakfast thing with potatoes, pesto, poached eggs and fried oysters. It was a large portion, I couldn't even finish it; but it def helped take the edge off my hangover.
My boyfriend had praline bacon & fried catfish breakfast, neither things that I'll eat, but he liked them!
N. Jackson
The Food is Extraordinary! Love it. Love it. The awesome problem they have is long lines. I must say it's worth the wait. The praline bacon, to the banana French toast and much more is ummmmm Good. I don't even like French toast the way they do it make u want it, but only theirs. (This is my opinion)
Suzy Beckford
The drinks were really good, strong enough bit not so strong that you cringe drinking them. The bar upstairs while you wait was really nice, definitely loud music but a really pleasant atmosphere. Bar tenders were nice, great customer service, and good suggestions. The food itself was delicious, we got the crabby special and it was absolutely amazing. My husband got the Florentine and he said it was the best breakfast he's ever had. Would highly recommend for everyone to try this!
Nick
We came here for breakfast and was kind of amazing. Nola touches on every dish.
A B
Wait was not long and food was ok wished it was more for your money. Waiter (Megan) was rude which brought the morale down. Won't return.
Nicole Pozos
Excellent place! There is a bit of a wait but it’s a really nice place to take a little walk around especially when the weather is beautiful, I would sit inside outside upstairs downstairs it doesn’t matter. The whole thing is a great vibe friendly service and delicious food. I absolutely love the fried chicken livers
Selby Wierman
Elizabeth's is one of the best places in NOLA for brunch. They also have excellent Bloody Mary's.
Adrienne H
Off the beaten path. Shrimp and grits were down-to-earth and mouth-dancing full of flavor. The biscuits ohhhhhh-my- goodness good. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a great meal and will go back! Should have bought a bottle of the hot sauce.
Jeanne Howe
Elizabeth’s never disappoints. Their service is fabulous and staff are so wonderful. Expect to wait for a table, but worth the wait. My favorite spot for fried oysters (the salad is esPECially tasty and has at least a dozen fried oysters. The poboy is also something to talk about...!) get the herbsaint dressing on the side with whatever you may order.
Love everything about this Bywater spot - especially the Dr. Bob pieces displayed throughout available for purchase.
MACK GYRL
praline bacon 🥓 is a must try 😋
Mindy Rose
Food was fantastic and service was great. Just DO NOT park in the lot on the hill. 6+ cars were broken into there(including ours) while we were eating and management says it’s a common occurrence.
Allie Hulcher
We sat upstairs and enjoyed oysters for breakfast with potatoes in a creamy spinach sauce and eggs benedict!Consider sharing- the portions are not for the faint of heart!
Preetham M Rao
I felt like this place is overrated. Not much of southern food on menu. Had to wait half hour to get a table. But we found a single hair strand in my friend's order. Other than that food is not so bad.
cherie breaux
Staff was fun and friendly. Bayou breakfast was yummy, the Catfish batter was on the salty side for me but not crazy, just my tastebuds these days.
Alexander Campbell
Delicious bacon and egg whites for breakfast a good biscuit, and terrific bartenders. Would eat there again for breakfast if I'm in the area.
abbey joseph
Delicious! There aren’t many reviews in regards to dinner menu, so allow me to highly recommend.
The scallops were amazing! Cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth, with huge lumps of fresh crab!
Sides were great, everything very fresh. Bread pudding was delightful. Cocktail (French Gimlet) was impressive as well. Service very friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Overall super cool, neighborhood, artsy spot with great food. C’est Bon!
FrankJ Torres
Great, fast and friendly service! Good Bloody Mary's! No seafood gumbo at the time. So 4 Starz it is
Austin Kent
Best experience we have had yet... The Eggs Florentine was spectacular. It has moved up our list on places to bring out of towners...
Christopher Cavender
Bit of a walk if you are staying closer to downtown, but worth it. Good vibes, great staff, great food
Evgeny Basov
The service was excellent, Elizabeth breakfast amazing, the bacon is very tasty!
The coffee is very good.
The chicken on the waffle not tasty at all, you can save it.
Celeste Roggy
Great service, great breakfast options, huge glass of oj!
Will Cintula
Expect a wait for brunch at this amazing spot. Great Bloody Mary's, Eggs Florentine comes with a dozen amazing fried oysters. Make sure to stop by the country club nearby for a wonderful hot soak after your feast!
Brian Gibson
Breakfast was outstanding. My wife ordered salmon and eggs and I had fried catfish and eggs. Everything was delicious. To top it off, the Mimosas had us both a little tipsy and I'm no lightweight!
Nora Brooker
This was my favorite place to roll by into in NOLA, however, this last trip left a bit to be desired. Even with all things considered, past recent hurricane, the food always pleases but man the service was shyte. Forgot part of my order, took my drink when I left table (did make another while moaning about it) and took forever to get the check because there was a party in the drink station. I don't like to say bad stuff, but I feel ya all need to know. Be patient with them they are usually busy. Pray you get a way better server than I did this time... service makes up for bad food.. however, food will leave you with a bad taste in mouth no matter how good if service is bad
Brant Kelsey
Decent food. Cool atmosphere. Strong drinks.
Alex L
Really great little cafe off the beaten path. We were a party of six and tried a an assortment of things: fried livers, steak and eggs, po'boys and more. It was right before COVID last year so I don't remember everything we ate, but I remember everything was delicious and service was great. Cocktails were also good, and they have a habanero hot sauce sweetened with carrot that is wonderful. We bought two bottles to take home and it always takes us back.
Zach Dee
This place is the ultimate hangover cure- try the praline bacon if you're looking for a flavor explosion and your favorite spirit with Pimm's is an absolute must if you're looking to elevate your brunch. Would definitely try again.
Sana S.
We got there about 15 minutes to closing, but they were so kind. We got two bloody Maries to go. Flavorful and fun! Hope to go there again some day!
Sherry Vorrasi
Food was great! Server was very personable and funny.
Lyndia Belcher
The best experience and atmosphere. If I go back home through new Orleans I am stopping.
Lorry Gore
Food and service is great!! You won't be disappointed at all! Billy was our waiter. Very nice, welcoming and he will stir you with great choices to try. You won't be disappointed!!
Amy Lynn Leventon
Good food, condescending servers, been there twice won't be back.
Allyson Shumate
Visited this place to day and all I can say is "WOW"! Staff was excellent and food was out of this world! Definitely a must do and definitely get the praline bacon
S Swann
Great Food, Slow Service. I found raw onions in my food after being told nothing I'd ordered had onions in it. Dessert was frozen and had to be thawed a bit to eat. However, the food was fantastic and worth the visit. Everybody in our group loved what they got for dinner. The prices were very reasonable. Be warned that they don't do separate checks beyond a certain number of people.
Maddie O'connor
We all keep going on about how this was the best meal we had in NOLA. About 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Canal and Bourbon, this place is tucked in a gorgeous old neighbourhood, totally worth exploring after eating at Elizabeth's. Recommended by our cab driver from the airport we came here for lunch. Service was crazy fast & the food was delicious. Fried chicken, drum fish (and of course, all the sides) were unbelievably delicious. Prices were good, atmosphere was phenomenal
Shred33
Incredible brunch, exceptional service really enjoyed our stop here. Very unique place could not have been happier with our food and drinks love this place!
Yvonne Dedo
Hostesses are lovely & so welcoming! We were only a party of 2 so sat us at the upstairs bar. Best seats in the house!! Served by bartender Alex who was delightful! Food was amazing, bloody Marys & Khalua spiked coffee perfect for a classic Sunday NOLA brunch!! Thanks Alex & company for a wonderful dining experience 🥰 …
Norman Cochran
It is worth the walk to get there. Great atmosphere and food!
M K (Smuttynose)
Really delicious and inventive dishes! The praline bacon and duck waffle are two of my favorites, never seen that anywhere else. Drinks are strong and priced well (their virgin versions as well). Friendly staff make the experience all the better. It gets busy, so expect a wait on the weekends.
Cacey Christiansen
A cute little brunch spot. Don't be fooled by the small space because behind the scenes they pack in huge flavor! Praline bacon?! Best fried Green tomatoes I've ever had?! Yes please!
Elayna Simmons
Honestly a little disappointed after all the recommendations. Got the fried chicken and waffle, wasn't great. The gravy and grits were better though. Since we walked here from French quarter, I wouldn't say it was worth it, but if you want to check it out just look up what's good first.
Samuel Kent
This place is 3 times as busy as it looks, so expect a little wait, but the servers are fun and funny and the food is worth it. I'd recommend anything with eggs.
Kiersten
Came here for my birthday brunch on a Sunday around 11 during COVID. They had a wait of about 45 minutes but had a bar serving drinks for while you wait. They fill up the cups but $12 for a mimosa is EXPENSIVE!
We finally sat down and the table was outside in the sun and it was unenjoyable how hot it was. They really need to add tents to that side of the business if they will be serving outside imo. Our waitress was fantastic though and let us pick up our drinks and food and move to a shaded area when another group left.
I had the praline bacon, boudin balls, biscuits and gravy, red neck breakfast, and chicken and waffles (obviously shared). All items were very delicious but I wouldn't break my neck to come back per say. I definitely recommend checking out this spot + the area around because it is a cool place with an exciting menu and great staff.
Pablo Spencer
Very friendly staff. Incredible grub. Highly recommend 👍
Jamison Bryant
This was one of the best places that we ate while in New Orleans by a wide margin. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient, and the environment was comfortable. If I lived anywhere near here, I would be back at least once a week.
Tor Frazier
Food was pretty good the service very great!
David Hochhalter
Crabby Cakes Baby! Poached eggs ontop crab cakes, it was awesome. They gave me regular bacon instead of candied bacon, and their cubed potatoes (hash browns)where extremely dry and overcooked. The coffee was fabulous! Just missed the fifth star........
Yewande Ogunedina
Amazingggg restaurant with delicious food , great customer service too
Ken Kolar
Amazing food!!! The smoked porkchop breakfast & crabcake benedict were only equaled by the servers & decor!!!
Ben Larson
Classics that could not have been cooked more perfectly. The over easy and poached eggs were wonderfully runny, the waffle was textured like a dream with great fruit and what felt like home whipped cream. Nice thin battered catfish which, again, was fried to perfection. Best breakfast I've had in a really long time.
Aaron Winfree
The duck waffle was delicious, and I don't even normally like sweet potatoes. My gf got the crabby patties Benedict style which was also yummy, amd my daughter got bannas foster which was also out of this world. The one sore spot was the oysters 3 ways which was eehhhh. The garlic and butter was flavorless, the foie gra was burnt, but the seafood stuffed was good. Wait staff could have been more attentive but they were slammed so it happens. The hostesses nice. Bloody Mary and mimosa we got was okay. Overrall would recommend.
Tam M
Somewhere along the line our order was forgotten, it took close to an hour to get our food. Food was alright, biscuits were crispy and the gravy was a bit salty and was too oily. Staff was super friendly. We were there on a busy Sunday, so y'all can draw your own conclusions
Markist Wallace
Some of the best food I've ever eaten iml.
sydneysaurus
The restaurant was small but most things are in this city. It was quirky and had a lot of decor that was bright and beautiful. A lot of it provided by a local artist. The waitress we had was really sweet and took great care of us. All of the food was absolutely delicious, you have to get the praline bacon, it's to die for.
Alicia Le
Casual style. Great food. Great service. We had 11 in our party had 3 different appetizers- favorite was 3 way. Every one was bragging on the dish they ordered and they were all different, so we will tell you the best dish was the one we ate. Only drawback- they can't split checks.
Dimitra Lemberger
The food was amazing and the service was even better. Our server Billy was the best! Friendly and gave us recommendations for our stay in New Orleans.
Jacob Milam
This place has an INCREDIBLE breakfast I went with a large group and we tried several different things here and everything blew our mind. The menu is so unique and a must stop location if you are visiting new Orleans! I have been to new Orleans more than 10 times and have yet to experience a better breakfast. Whether you have a sweet tooth or just want savory this is the place for you.
Leona Ingerson
Small, somewhat cramped space. Colorfully decorated. Beautiful stamped tin ceiling. Very warm, friendly atmosphere. I had the shrimp and grits. Very large portions, absolutely delicious. Parking, as is common there, is street parking and hope you get close.
Jay Brasher
Everything here was fantastic! Service, food, ambiance. Highly recommend.
Jared Ross
Great food, especially the fried green tomatoes and the banana foster french toast. The waffle was great, cornmeal (yum) but the duck had hash was mostly sweet potato. I would probably get the chicken and waffle or strawberry waffle instead next time. Wait was much longer than predicted, ~45 minutes for 2. Bathrooms were dirty with wet floor.
Anitha Nair
Always a delicious and delightful meal! Great local cuisine 👌🏽 …
Tali Goldson
Great Dive for brunch in a low key area. Great for small groups and quick bites. Friendly staff. Great quality food and drinks. A very unique experience if you are visiting New Orleans and want brunch with a little Cajun influence.
Luis Cruz Padro
Big easy home cooked meal warm welcoming real authentic home feel with a twist of food
Carla Edgar
I had the chicken livers with the pepper jelly OMG the pepper jelly was excellent the liver's were fried to Perfection do you do if you ever want a good fried chicken liver go to Elizabeth highly recommended have a great day people enjoy Elizabeth
Rick Oxner
Long wait, cool hip place, but the slowest bar tender I've ever seen..I'll reassess after food..OK, I've reassessed...the bartender was still really slow, but it was totally worth the wait!! Service was great and food was outstanding!! Campfire smoked steak and eggs, Banana's Foster French Toast and shrimp and grits were great! Also had the praline bacon, biscuits and gravy, and boudin balls were all exceptional as well...highly recommend, plan some time and enjoy!
Tracie Samuelson
My son lives in New Orleans and we try to visit Elizabeth's every time we come to town. By far our favorite stop, love the unique menu as well as the eclectic atmosphere and the great customer service.
fallon fernandes
Had an AMAZING breakfast here during a recent trip to NOLA! Enjoyed the shrimp & grits and a DELICIOUS Pimm's cup. Highly recommend to others!
Richard Carbo
They made room for a party of 6 on New Year's Eve almost at brunch closing... The staff was very attentive and the food incredible! Awesome southern cooking. Come hungry plates are plentiful... Brunch and lunch specials were available and the provided small plates so everyone could share or sample.
Ryan Preskitt
Possibly the best breakfast/brunch I've ever had. Expect a bit of a wait to be seated, but the food is well worth it. We had grillades and grits, the French toast burrito, and an appetizer of praline bacon. All were delicious. Great aesthetic and convenient location if you're already in Bywater.
Morgan Troost
Specializing in breakfast items with a few New Orleans Classics thrown in for good measure the menu is a delightful collection of comfort food with a twist. I've been a customer for over 10 yrs and I can definitely say the place has a much more tourist centric feel and the food has lost the authentic flavor and richness it once had. Still pretty good but a long way off from exciting anymore.
Alyssa Carter
VIsited this place for breakfast and was pleased enough to return. Will definitely be on the dining list on future trips. The creativity of the menu offerings get the tastebuds flowing. Bloody Mary's with pickled green beans and other crunchies...entrees with duck hash and cornbread. With tax and tip, my breakfast was $30, but I honestly can't say I regret the visit.
Aaron Saraco
The breakfasts will definitely satisfy you and fill you up. They are just short of being truly fantastic, but not a bad option. It's good diner food. The praline bacon was really good, but didn't quite live up to its reputation. I guess I just wanted it to be a little bit crispier and more baked on. The praline spread could be brushed off pretty easily. Overall though, it's a nice place with cool art displays and decorations.
Mark Griffith
I have been very lucky the last few days to find very good food, and this place didn't disappoint for breakfast! They have a lot of wonderful unique dishes in a very nice atmosphere! The Crabby Eggs were perfect! Also the table next to me invited me to sit with them since I was alone! Keep up the great work!
Laura Holder
The Crabby special was delicious. The French toast burrito was okay. Lacked depth of flavor and a bit dry. Had the praline bacon as well. Too sweet for us but I think many others would really like it.
tev
what a cute little brunch spot! if you're a lightweight like me, then the mimosa will have you feeling right as rain for a couple hours, then top off during lunch. I kinda forgot what I got to eat, but I defo remembered that mimosa. what's really nice, while you wait for a table take a walk over that tall bridge by the parking lot, 47 steps up, 53 down... I think, correct me if in wrong lol :)
Alejandra Cantu
DELICIOUS! good southern food. It is all so tasty. Plates are HUGE so make sure you come hungry or take the leftovers. The service was phenomenal. We were in and out in 1.2 hours . It's not McDonald's so expect to pay for the amazing food. It was $ 67 bucks for Salmon and eggs (huge) , Eggs Florentine ( massive) , biscuit and gravy (I only eat the gravy from here!) And two Iced coffees with Baileys (about 4 oz of baileys) the spiked coffee got us a bit drunk 😂.
People complain about the noise but its NORMAL it's not a fancy candle lit dinner. People talk. Go upstairs if you want less noise. But it's not something that is annoying.
MUST Do if you aren't from New Orleans or even if you are 🐖😋
Cub 28
Excellent food. Have the sweet tea. They know how to make it.
Ingrid Bolton
The bartender that was upstairs was very pleasant and friendly to my husband and me. We enjoyed, the candied bacon and the green tomatoes.
Carolyn Calvin
Really enjoyed the food. The green beans as a side dish wasawesome. The .drum fish topped with crab, shrimp and a lite cream sauce was very tasty and delicious. The scallops bbq shrimp was good also.
The drinks was not watered down/weak.
Would go back again.
Kristen Holmes
Food was delicious! I had fried green tomatoes, catfish, and eggs. All paired nicely with my mimosa! Will definitely come back the next time I'm in town! Thanks for great service!
Shakila B
The food here was so delicious and the portions were large. I couldn’t even finish my plate. Also, the staff were very friendly and inviting.
Byron Stuart
Best Bloody Mary in town! Or get a bottle of champagne and unlimited orange juice to build your own mimosas. The brunch here is great. Excellent fried green tomatoes, eggs Florentine with fried oysters, tasty pork chops in country gravy, etc. And don't forget to order a side of praline bacon! It's a house specialty.
Derek Harper
Very slow service, but if you've got nothing to do it's just fine I bet. Try the Callas!
Sharon O'Brien
Brunch with family — oyster poboys and shrimp and grits. In addition to the always scrumptious food and friendly service, we love Elizabeth’s collection of Dr. Bob art.
Melissa Padilla
Started with the candied bacon-yummy. The Bloody mary was spicy and the green beans were interesting. I asked what they were pickled with and was surprised one of the ingredients was cloves-interesting and enjoyed the complex flavor. I had the grillades and grits-mouth watering. The breakfast sausage was full of flavorful spices, definitely took time to test the flavors. The waffle is tasty but I think my brunch guest should have tried the cream and strawberries on top-so pretty. Everyone was happy with their meals.
Maggie Watson
Amazing food. Almost like a "hole in the wall" place. Great seafood. In the local part of town so the prices are decent. Great vibes, everybody was nice and cordial.
Paul Russell
Elizabeth's is always great. The art on the walls is super cool stuff! But the food is amazing. Authentic and genuine food true to New Orleans.
Oscar Enrique Phelps
Love the food great service!
Trace (Trace)
Florentine is the best I've ever had. The creamed spinach is perfectly spiced with just the right amount of nutmeg and the oysters are fried to perfection. When I come to Elizabeth's I always get this dish. AMAZING !
Shaleena Campbell
I gave three stars simply because I thought the food was mediocre, but not horrible . I got chicken and waffles. My chicken tasted like nothing, it lacked seasoning. My waffle on the other hand did taste like something but it could have been better. I can’t speak for the rest of the food, but to slack on such a simple meal I can only say the rest of the food may not be that great as well.
Ronda Holman
This is a unique neighborhood spot with THE BEST POTATOES! They're called hash browns on the menu but they aren't like hash browns I know. By any name, they are so very good! I skipped my omelette and concentrated on those potatoes and my biscuit which was also good. My omelette made good leftovers.
Expect a bit of a wait to be seated.
Barrett Allen
Unique Gem! Great staff—our server was super delightful and very down to earth. Drinks were simple and tasty. Food was phenomenal. I wish I could have tried every dish!
