Reviews of Deanie's Seafood Restaurant in the French Quarter
Tom West
Upon looking at Deanies you would think it is tourist trap chain. However we were seated right away and the actual restaurant was very clean, unlike most places in the French quarter. The service was very friendly and food was quick for a sit down. The portions are huge and the food is amazing. Not over priced for the portions. Probably the best fried shrimp I have ever had. The onion rings were fantastic. The batter on everything is very good not to greasy and has a good spice. The BBQ shrimp were also very nice.

Service staff very friendly! Patrick server very personable. I don't like oysters. But they were okay. Very nice presentation. My friend likes them. But she loves these, came out hot. Potatoes 🥔 as a free started, different but really good.
Calamari is really good. Friendly staff for what has to be a long busy day.
The Meh,
My drank wasn't strong enough for New Orleans for my liking. $17 I would just pass and wait for one from the street, if your a drinker. But we ordered a fried seafood plate... baby where's the seasoning, I'm so extremely disappointed for this to be New Orleans. I'm home a day later, still in shock. I rather have Captain D's.
I would call the place a tourist trap. Great portion size. It's lacking flavor, and now looking at other's photos, duh. You don't see any seasonings. The way they seasoned those oysters, though, they know what seasoning is. So, I'm guessing it's done on purpose. I let my server know, still paid for it. He said, he'll let chef know.

First off, the atmosphere of this restaurant was so wonderful and relaxing. Our assigned server, Sophie, was so pleasant and had a positive attitude. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Sophie also continuously checked on us, and each time, she came with a smile and good conversation.
Now, the food was magnificent and cooked and seasoned very well. My guy and I had the fried seafood platter (a piece), and it was so much food for one person that we should have gotten one platter and shared it. The platter included fried catfish, fried shrimp, and fried oysters, which they put back on the menu today after being off the menu for 2 years. I was so so excited. We were very pleased with our dinner. Also, the chicken and anduoille gumbo was very, very good. Along with the boiled red potatoes that's given to guests as a complimentary starter was tasty.
I highly recommend Deanie's to those visiting New Orleans and are staying in the French Quarter to check this awesome seafood restaurant out.

Was walling around the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans area and happened across Deanie's Seafood. We were greeted by a smiling and friendly hostess. We had a group of 9 and she quickly accommodated our group. Once seated, our server was very friendly and attentive. Instead of bread, we were treated to boiled red potatoes. The had to have been boiled in seasoned water, because they had somewhat warm spice/heat to them and they were very good. The food we ordered came out pretty fast and was served at temperatures appropriate for the food selections. I don't eat much seafood so I got a burger and it was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned delicious. Those that ordered seafood said it was fantastic. A few of our group ordered chicken and commented that it was juicy and delicious. Menu prices were as expected and because of our group size, gratuity was added to our checks. The dining area was well-maintained and very clean. Would highly recommend Deanie's Seafood Restaraunt.

Very good seafood. Nice selection. Good pricing. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms which were fantastic. The fried crab platter easily fed both of us and was delicious. Since they had fresh crawfish we got a pound as well and they couldn't have been better. Fully recommend checking this place out.

I can't say enough about my visit to Deanie's Seafood Restaurant. The Gluten Free options are amazing. I enjoyed fried catfish, shrimp and French fries from a safe designated fryer. For anyone who must eat Gluten Free this is something special to find for sure. Tried to go for dinner and wait was about 1 1/2 hours so decided to try for lunch time next day. Score we were seated immediately and given fast & friendly service. Thanks Deanie's for making my Birthday a special one.

Today was busier than normal. Simply understandable. We really like this Seafood restaurant. My wife and I make it a point to stop whenever we are here in NOLA. We usually order the Half Seafood platter. It’s a lot and we always take a box to go. Today we wanted to try something different so we ordered the soft shell crab poo boys sandwich and the Stuff Flounder. They were both equally good. Our server was great. Very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was understaffed today but whoever showed up were in good spirits. Keep up the good work Deanie’s!!
Cass Is Real
We shared calamari, 1/2 dozen charbroiled oysters, and a catfish and shrimp combo Platter. Both the food and service were amazing! These were the best oysters I have had in NOLA. The only disappointment was that they did not have sweet tea. They serve boiled potatoes instead of hushpuppies or rolls... we drizzled the sauce from the oysters onto ours. 😋

Went here for dinner, it was a 30 minute wait but we just walked around & enjoyed the sights, so that time went by quickly. Had a great feel, the waitress was cool, not overly crowded.. In all a pretty good experience. 20% gratuity was already added in on my receipt but I threw in a lil extra. Cost $165.

I had two small complaints about this place but the food and service was not one of them. The food was absolutely amazing. More than enough plus some. However!! When we were seated the lady said that once we sit no one could be added to the party. Even though they were right behind us. That was later settled and we were ok. Another issue was no returns or money back. One of the plates was not satisfying and we asked for it to be taken off the bill. It was explain that if it’s not the waitress fault it couldn’t be taken off. Other than that you should definitely add it to places to try!

Charred oyster were delicious. Potatoes as an appetizer was a surprise but they were tasty. Étouffe and gumbo were okay. The fried platter was too much and the catfish was not great.
Service was excellent! Drinks were delicious!

Awesome place for seafood! The Caesar Salad was the best I've ever had, and I had many Caesar salads from alot of places. The complimentary red potatoes were delicious. Everything we ordered from the Stuffed Flounder, gumbo, Stuffed mushrooms, po boys were fantastic. Highly recommend, get there early on weekends, tend to be a wait.
Ramonda Griffin
Absolutely amazing food every time we eat here. Our waiter, Colby, was very funny and one of the best waiters that we've ever had. He was very calm, cool and collected.
mssupamom1
Waited about an hour but staff was super busy and accommodating!! No one was just standing around.. everyone was working so hard..! It was so worth the wait! Best fried catfish and shrimp Ever!! Our waitress was amazing too! Portions are HUGE!
Paul Bobo
Nice restaurant with good service and decent seafood. Only dissapointing aspect was the amount of grit in the oysters and shell in the crab stuffed mushrooms. For the price it should have been better, maybe we were just unlucky.
Potatoes cooked in spicy crab boil were delicious

After we arrived at our hotel in the French quarter on a Saturday afternoon, we were looking for somewhere convenient, close by, and that didn’t have a huge wait. Then came Deanies!
The service was impeccable, all of the wait staff were so friendly and helpful with food suggestions. The portions are HUGE. Like… huge. My husband ordered a salad and it came out on a massive platter. But everything was also delicious!
The decor is interesting, and the fans operated by belt were really cool. Artichoke hearts were amazing!!

Deanie's was incredible. The chefs were so nice, the server Myron, was attentive and pleasant, and the food was out of this world. Each item that we ordered was cooked to perfection, and tasted amazing. I have never had such an astonishing meal where every single item sang to my taste buds. We flew from my hometown to New Orleans primarily to try this food, and I will definitely be back. I strongly recommend that you try the cheesecake, the praline crust is a revelation. Thank you, Deanie's.
TaDarius Hooper
Food was amazing, especially the carrot souffle. There was an hour and 45 minute wait but luckily we got a seat at the bar. Our bartender Rebekah was really nice and had good suggestions. The only complaint was how busy it was but I guess that's a good thing and the food didn't take too long.
Janet
Ugh, oh I I wish I ordered the full dinner of the barbecue shrimp. I ordered a salad with the barbecue shrimp starter for my meal. Not enough food, totally my fault. Good vibe in the restaurant and delicious food!! Hospitable staff. Be sure your server brings a bib for you 😋 …
ebiz guy
Very busy Saturday night, but I found a spot at the bar. Had an excellent Abita IPA, and the BBQ shrimp. Quite delicious. Shrimp were a hair past perfectly cooked, but the sauce was out of this world. I would definitely go back over and over.

Deanie’s at the heart of the French Quarter. We stumbled upon this place during dinner time and loved the food.
Service was a bit slow but I think it’s because the kitchen could not handle too many orders so we were told to wait by the door when we arrived (even when there were clearly many tables available).
I highly recommend the broil-grilled oysters. That garlicky taste never left my mind, probably one of the most delicious things I’ve tasted in New Orleans, yum!
LP Stout
So neat getting new potatoes when you first sit down to snack on while you look over the menu! My bloody mary was wonderful and the crawfish balls are a must have from now on when I travel to NOLA!
Nicole Sparacio
Great spot, no reservations! The crawfish was a great value for the price.
Loved the BBQ shrimp appetizer - it was huge! Charbroiled oysters were also amazing!
A little pricey but makes sense considering the location
Amy Wagor
Amazing!! Instead of bread they serve complimentary potatoes 🥔 🥰Everything from how fast they worked the crowd, hostess was a southern sweetheart with her long pink hair. Waitress was amazing wish I remembered her name, she had short pink hair and beautiful eyeshadow. Gave recommendations which were all fantastic! We will definitely be back!?

Deanie’s is a cool for large parties. A lot of the food is shareable. Especially the platters of food. The server was Myron. He was a nice guy and our party was given whatever we needed. The servers bring out red potatoes to the table. What they don’t tell you is that they are SPICY. My 8 month old mouth was on fire. When we told the servers they say they come out spicy or bland. Everyday they come out different. Oh wow is all I could think.
They were unable to fry oysters on the night we went. They should have just said NO OYSTERS at all. I will come back to this further down.
Once the food started coming out I was amazed at how much was on a single plate. All I could think was everything was shareable. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy and all I could taste with every bite is bread. And no it was filled with the little shrimp and just enough to cover the bottom of the bread. There was no po boy sauce and it was just very DISAPPOINTING. Everyone enjoyed the fried foods and said they were crunchy. The stuffed shrimp was a lot to bite into. By the way the shrimp was not clean. But everyone eats it to their liking. The salads were huge and for sure shareables.
Now back to the oysters. As you can see there was barely any oyster on the whole shell. When I asked the manager why they were so small. He wanted to sound so educated about oysters from the Gulf that really made him sound crazy. I told him I had never in my life seen oysters so small on the shell. He wanted to ask me where I buy them. I replied the store, California, Catalina Island and so on. They still insisted on charging $30 and 4 oysters were eaten. Not only that they charged and took the oysters from the table.
I also noticed a server walking through the restaurant eating. She then was putting an order in coughing all over the menu and not covering her mouth. It was just giving me germs everywhere.
Overall of your with a large party and are tipsy from Bourbon go here and share SMALL platters!
Mike T
4 stars for the food. 2 for the service. Took our waitress 10 minutes to get to our table. We were just going to leave. Crawfish are crawfish. The charred oysters could possibly be the best in the area (Sorry Drago's lovers). The half order fried seafood platter was impressive. The majority of it was catfish with shrimp coming in at second. The crawfish balls were fantastic! And the soft crab was so so. It was the least greasy of why fried food I've ever had. The half order is plenty for 2 people. Don't get a full order. I can put up with a little sub par service if the food is worth it.
And I think it's worth it here.
Oh, the red potatoes cooked in the crawfish boil is a great substitute for bread. Loved it!

This is a wonderful restaurant! When I say you get your money worth of delicious food. The customer service is great, the environment is clean. I highly recommend Deanie!

Ate here on a Saturday night and it was very busy had to throw our names on a wait list (party of 13)
Very very friendly server who knew the menu inside out and was super accommodating when it came to special requests and splitting the bill 5 ways
They bring out boiled red potatoes for the table
Ordered the mini seafood platter for the table to start and then the stuffed shrimp as my main, others ordered the seafood flat bread, pasta, redfish
All the mains were really good, but the sides weren’t that great (sweet potato fries, French friends etc)
Solid 7.2 out of 10

I ordered the half plate of seafood. I could not get the fried oysters due to them being out. They provided me with extra catfish. I ordered the house margarita, and it was not a preferred drink for me. I will say I loved the little crawfish balls. Those were the best thing on the plate.
Empressive Curls
Deanies was a cool spot. The waitstaff were excellent. We thought the food would give us a real New Orleans taste but it didn’t really pop. The location is one block away from Bourbon St. Try it to see how you like it. Still love New Orleans.

Stumbled upon this place when taking a friend out to the French quarter the first time. It is an old-school diner vibe that serves sea food and it had really good food! The chargrilled oysters are getting to be one of my favorites down here. Heads up, the shrimp do have the heads on, our waitress made sure to warn us about this Bc apparently some people are creeped out by it. Our table was a bit dirty at first, but our server, Jasmine, was amazing and she took care of it right away. She did a really good job of taking care of us as well as her other tables.

We missed dining here last year so made sure we ate here this visit. Service was okay...server friendly but not as attentive. Food was also okay...normal portions at current prices. We both each had stuffed crabs for appetizers. Unfortunately, mine was still cold in the middle & had to send back to make hot.
For entrees, we shared a 1/2 platter of fried seafood and a bowl of crawfish etoufee. Etoufee was very good and fried seafood good but may have been missing the oysters. Will update possible missing oysters cuz could not finish everything & took entrees home for later.
No dessert was suggested nor offered.

Another restaurant that was recommended by the locals of New Orleans. You have to get here early though because this place is jam packed with a line up out the door.
We started with the seafood platter. It comes with catfish, shrimp, soft shell crab, these little balls of greatness, fried oysters, served under fries. It was the perfect amount to split between a group. Everything was fried perfectly and not oily or greasy. They were unfortunately out of oysters so we got more of everything else. The fries aren’t that good. Your typical frozen bag fries.
Fried artichoke hearts also came deep fried. Nice crunch on the outside soft on the inside.
The stuffed broiled shrimp was sensational. Whatever they stuff the shrimp with is jam packed full of flavour. It’s definitely a must try. I wish it wasn’t served with fries. The fries were lacklustre and spoiled the entrée.
The shrimp linguine was also one of the best that I’ve ever had. I loved the Cajun flavour.
Shout out to Kimberlie for being such a knowledgeable and amazing server

Party of 6: wait time 40 minutes: late dinner 7:30ish pm: AMAZING! Words can’t even explain what my mouth experienced. 🤣 My absolutely favorite we’re the charbroiled oysters. I couldn’t get enough. I was about to order another set when the main dish came to the table. I ordered deanies trio soup with chicken andouille sausage, crawfish étouffée, and crawfish bisque. My favorite out of that trio was the crawfish bisque. Hubby had the red snapper with crawfish topping sauce😲. ( he enjoyed it: cleaned his plate) The kiddos had the crawfish étouffée full serving. ( they cleaned their plate as well) Overall it’s was a great experience. What topped it off was our AMAZING waitress her name was AMANDA she definitely went far and beyond expectations for a busy restaurant.

Party of 7. Had a long wait. I guess they keep one side of the restaurant closed because everyone who came in was given a 25 to 30 minute wait nomatter how small or large the party was and one whole side had empty tables. Now to the food. They were out of fried oysters but you could get raw or chargrilled oysters. SMH as to why you cant fry some raw oysters. Anyway, the flavor of my chargrilled oysters was very good but they were probably the gritiest I have ever had. I also had crab stuffed mushrooms which were ok. I take points away because shell or cartlage kept getting stuck in my teeth. The "Blues" salad was very fresh, ample and tadty but the dressing was a bit too sweet for my taste. The portion sizes were very large but I seemed to be the only person in my party who enjoyed their selection. I will say steer clear of the crab au gratin. Flavor is completely missing from this dish.

Came to New Orleans for a concert trip and stopped here for lunch craving seafood. Came in, atmosphere was nice and wait wasn’t bad. Service was very friendly! His name was Colby! Great guy, knowledgeable server. Potatoes and the dip appetizer were so delicious, we both enjoyed it and were very satisfied. Mom and I decided to share the Crawfish Quartet for dinner and it was underwhelming at best. Underseasoned, not very flavorful or spicy, just didn’t taste great and wasn’t what we were expecting. Overall good experience! Just not the best food.

MY GOODNESS. I am a chef in my own right and found this food to be exceptional. We had the Giant Seafood Tower for our main meal. I'm not a catfish fan but this dish was unlike any other seafood dish that I've had. There is an ingredient is uncommon to me by gave the catfish a pop of flavor. I love smoked oysters but theirs was chargrilled to perfection, seasoned angelically, and tasted like a dream come true. I squeezed a drop of lemon juice and a drop of hot sauce and was making plans to move somewhere close by. LOL. You might be wondering why I didn't give the place 5 stars. As good as the food and our waiter was, we waited a little too long to be seated because several hosts were seemingly on a break and didn't seem like they cared we were waiting for so long in an almost empty restaurant (it was the end of the night). Other than that, the experience was one to remember.
Amanda Deal
Food was incredible and we were served spicy boiled potatoes instead of your typical rolls/bread. This was was fantastic! I was however disappointed with being greeted, I was told I had to wait for my two remaining guests that were on their way and that the bar was for to go only, and remaining seats were full. I was just saddened upon how I was greeted, but the food made up for it.
Kendrick Thomas
First time in New Orleans and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to eat at Deanies. Be warned the line may be long when you arrive but trust me it’s worth the wait. I’ve never tasted crawfish so delicious. I also suggest getting the crab/shrimp dip along with the bbq shrimp. You won’t be disappointed
Jack Gaines Jr.
We rode our bikes to the National Motorcycle RoundUp in Gonzalez LA. After checking out all of the other places like Baton Rouge, Alexander, we rode to New Orleans to have lunch at Deanies. Oh my goodness, they were very good. Well worth the trip.
Kris de la Pena
WORTH ALL MY MONEY! It’s actually pretty affordable compared to other restaurants. Food is soooo good. So far the best seafood place I’ve tried in my 1 month of stay here in New Orleans.
Eboni Bright
Holy-moly portions! Everything was enjoyable, including our waiter Myron. Nice atmosphere, great food.
Judy Rios
The charbroiled oysters.... I could eat a whole dozen by myself! A beautiful room, attentive wait staff (Herb was great on his 3rd day!), friendly hostess.... All in all it was a lovely lunch, thank you!
Sophie Xia
The wait was def long, but the food was so good! We got the voodoo juice as the drink, BBQ Shrimp and crawfish quartet as the main dishes. The BBQ shrimp was really good and def worth a try. The crawfish quartet was ok.
Thetchaya Hernandez
Food was AMAZING here I definitely recommend dining here. The food never disappoints. I always make sure I go here everytime I come to New Orleans. The staff is always friendly and professional. I love the charbroiled oysters and the seafood gumbo 😋 it's a must.
E Peterson
Went here for a quick lunch bite after walking around all morning. Sat at the bar and get my order in fast. Had the stuff shrimp (broiled) with fries. Very tasty. No desserts.

Good food, we order half platter sea food for 4 and were enough, soup of the day shrimp and crawfish was awesome. Will recommend this place. Drinks were good. Very clean restaurant, fast service, bloody mary A+.
Gertrude Jean Pierre
Wonderful service, people were really nice. Long wait, but inside. Food was good. Stuffed shrimp were really good. Fell in love with their Etouffee, best I have had on my vacation. Nice atmosphere
CHANDRA HERRING
I was in New Orleans for one day and decided to have dinner there. The line was long and there was a wait ,which was no problem. They give you a lot of food. Great value for your money. The food was good, I wish it was more flavorful. The staff was very nice.
Tamara Harris
The food was absolutely delicious. Our bartender/ waitress Chris was on point with her service. The hostess was friendly and gave good conversation. This is definitely a return spot on my next visit to NOLA.
Shannon Fifield
My first time coming to Louisiana, and Deanie's was one of my favorite restaurants my family and I went to. I had the crawfish quartet and it was very delicious, my favorite was the crawfish étouffée. My husband had the gumbo, two of my sons had mac and cheese, and my other son had the barbeque shrimp past. Those dishes were all super yummy as well. Our server, Herb, was absolutly awesome! He was attentive, helpful, and kind. His service was the cherry on top of our great dining experience at Deanie's!
Torianesha Davis
Equally as good the second time around. Everything was delicious from the potatoes to the crab Au gratin to the soup trio. Will definitely be returning.
Ashlei Shannon
Everything was so good, and the portion sizes are huge. So much food! Very convenient location if you're staying at any of the hotels on Canal street.
Art Without Fear

Veronica LaRue
Our waitress was informative and had a great personality. Food was amazing and drinks were good.
Emily Fulton
Enjoyed dinner in the French Quarter. A lot of great food! We had to split meals because each dish was soooo much!!! They will only split 4 checks at a table so be careful if you go in groups.
Dakota Wood
Great fresh seafood and huge portions for the price. Everything we had was wonderful and the wait staff was super attentive.
Mars Parker
This place has very big portions of good quality seafood. The charboiled oysters were buttery and tasty. I had the stuffed flounder and it was very filling and good. The po boys there were huge and served a lot of fish. I would recommend this for seafood lovers.
DUKE Robertson
Dropped in just to grab a small snack and ended up staying for alot more. The shrimp bisque was absolutely amazing. Oysters on the half shell were YUGE!
The person shocking the oysters is very good at their job. Great job of keeping the liquor in the oysters even with cutting the meat from the shell, couldn't tell they did it. Very well done on everything. Sat at the bar so the service was outstanding
S L “Sandi” Thompson
This place savors the good and tasty flavors known in Nawlins. Service is prompt in an atmosphere that surrounds you with an interesting cultural scene. While dining at the bar the female of management and I engaged in memories of Whitney Houston "Queen Of The Knight. For a woman not of color she's a real sista of music. Enjoyed the convo. Food was plentiful and great. Drinks made to keep your buzz going or get it started right. For the amount of food and taste a wait and the price is worthy of a good dine deaux. Jwi
Anthony Gaskins
The chargrilled oysters were delicious but the BBQ Shrimp was the highlight! The sauce and seasoning where perfect and the portions are huge in this place. If you order a platter be prepared to share or carry a lot of food around with you on Bourbon street.
renee GRIFFIN
Seafood Gumbo was great, bloody Mary was good(eat the green beans that come with), red fish was good. Chris our bartender, we sat and ate at the bar, she was fabulous and entertaining.
Wayne Johnson
This food was of the charts. And they give you a lot off food. Char grilled oysters are so fresh. Best bloody Mary I have ever had.
Mark McHugh
A locals favorite, because we asked. The food and drinks were excellent. Business people were there for lunch, 5 days before Father's Tuesday.
K Davis
The half platter was delicious. The oysters was sooo good. Will definitely eat here again. The food presentation look just as good as it tasted. Staff was very friendly
mazzsterable
I love their bbq shrimp. This rating is just based on that. They are super messy so get the bib. There are a lot of fried items on the menu that don't interest me, but the bbq shrimp is my New Orleans staple.
Christopher Carlsson
Always outstanding seafood and great beer selection and drinks, served in a casual family style setting with great prices for value received . Always go there when I am in town
David Ervin
Stayed in New Orleans for a few days post-cruise and have eaten here twice. First time I had the half-fried seafood platter and it was just stacked with food. Couldn't finish it all. Better to split a half between two people. Second time I had the flounder stuffed with crab meat. It was also excellent. Recommend going to this place. Right across the street from the Hyatt centric.
Dave Chester
I know other people rate this place but it just didn't work for me. The half seafood platter was ridiculously big and therefore expensive. It was just a waste and the quality was no better than anywhere else.
I had better experiences in New Orleans.
Fatoumata Cissoko-Willis
I enjoyed the food and service. I had the Shrimp and Catfish Po'boy. It was good, but not great. A good place for good food, but not a spectacular dining experience.
Ralf Assmann
Really good restaurant, fast service tasty food and decent portions. Prices are ok for the portion size
Arman Barbuco
We lined up at least 20 minutes to be seated. It was worth the wait. The best are the oysters. The small mixed seafoods is good enough to at least 3-4 people like us. We ordered and appetizer. We didn’t even finish our meal because we ordered a lot. It was a good experience. Must try when you are at the area. I suggest trying the oysters which is the best. We surely gonna visit this place again when we return. Make sure you come early especially during weekends.
Hector Torres
As you walk into this restaurant the smell of freshly cooked sea food fills the air. The hostess was very friendly and seated us promptly. The waitress was also great and knew the menu very well and answered all our questions without hesitation. The BBQ shrimp was very good and a the count of six was very filling. The catfish dinner was a very healthy portion of fish and sweet potato fries. The catfish was the best I have ever had and would gladly come back for this dish again. Overall a great experience at this lovely restaurant.

This is a place I have been going to for almost 20 years and it’s right off the beaten path from bourbon street. The food and service are awesome.
Kris E
The food was so delicious and the service was great. The charbroiled oysters are the best.
April Fuller
The service was lacking a bit, as our server seemed overworked, but boy is the food good!!!! I got the shrimp poboy and my daughter got crawfish! We were so full once we were done!!! The hurricane wasn't good though...tasted like cough syrup!
Israel Cartwright
Everything I are was delicious! The service was fast and efficient. The gumbo is really delicious worth every penny. Definitely will be back.
Loriel Fisher
As a NOLA native, it is always a great feeling to come home and come to my favorite places! we ordered the seafood okra gumbo and crawfish etouffee as appetizers. My fiancé and I split a catfish and shrimp combo and it was the bomb! everything was delicious! glad I could bring him home to experience
Belinda (Queen B)
We went while they had a limited menu due to Hurricane Ida plus Covid. Overall we were quite pleased. The bring a bowl of whole small red skin potatoes with butter to the table much like other restaurants bring bread. Was skeptical but omg they were SO good! I believe they cook them in the same type of seafood boil they do other dishes in. I got the crawfish bisque -it was more tomato based than cream based and was served with a scoop of white rice in it, it was different than most I have had but still very good. I also ordered the BBQ shrimp pasta and it was quite tasty. Also got the coconut cream bread pudding and it was heavenly! All the dishes were delicious and would definitely order again. Try to go early to beat the crowd we went at 4ish and no wait.
Amy
Very good!! Need more vegan options but delicious seafood and reasonable for area. Great wait staff! Love the potatoes that come out first!! Yum
Raven Childers
The servers were awesome. The food was really good. Crab Au gratin, red fish and crab boil potatoes.

It was a nice clean place. Waiting area was nice too and we didn't have to wait to long for a table. The drink that we had was bomb. Food was okay.
Emma Kirk
Food here is absolutely delicious 😋
We had crawfish, gumbo, charred oysters, you name it. Even got a few beers during dinner. We definitely ordered more than we could eat but we almost finished everything on the table.
Restaurant is large and spacious so even though we waited outside in a line, it moved quickly. This was during Mardi Gras so I expected that it was busier than usual.
I will definitely come here again.
Leyla Rezaei
Bbq shrimp was very good. The rest of the food we got was good including fried redfish with crab meat topping and crawfish topping. The crawfish bisque was OK.
Jayla A
I was excited to try this restaurant based off a friend’s recommendation. But unfortunately I was not impressed. The flavors were lacking for a seafood establishment. The service was great but they should consider adding some flare to the flatbread. Also, the rice in my gumbo was somehow crunchy and mushy.
LD Hardy
Good service, really good food! Only recommendation would be instead of mayo a nice remoulade sauce for the shrimp PO boy. The crawfish bites were phenomenal, the shrimp and crab dip was amazing! Will definitely be returning.
Bruce Wetzel
Way more food then we could eat,. And believe me we can eat. Got the 1/2 platter and could only eat 1/2 of that. Service was great and so was the food. Definitely fo back next time in town

We decided to take out some crawfish, due to so many people waiting for the table. The staffs are so friendly and helpful, crawfish is so delicious!
Joysolyn Jackson
First time in NOLA, and we were advised to def try this place and we were not disappointed!! There was not wait when we went 1/8 at 8ish. We were seated quickly and they brought out broiled potatoes. First though okay this is new, but don’t knock it, they were fantastically seasoned and hot. Order appetizer stuffed mushrooms and with added we wont be disappointed spill from our very great and detailed waiter Johnell we tried the charbroiled oysters. OMG they both were great. Food was good, Blacken red fish could use a lil bit more spice, and an option to choose something other than the vegetable of the day. The stuff shrimp was great you 6 giant stuffed shrimp and fries, to me this could be split between two if y’all are getting an appetizer too. All in all great place to eat. We will def be back!!
Dee Lash
I've waited years to get to New Orleans just for this restaurant. I wanted the giant platter but I only got the half platter. Well worth the money and wait to finally eat here
C Sparks
Really good food with large portions. It’s a crowded place so be prepared to wait.
Oscar Salazar
What can I say...beautiful city, great people, and fantastic food! Deanies is a definite "must try" restaurant. Shaq, our waiter, took great care of us.
Michael McGraw
This is without a doubt a 5 star 🌟 review, the whole experience from the quality of the seafood, the freshness, the flavor , the service, the cleanliness, just every thing was on point , please whatever you do if visiting New Orleans, do not leave without going to experience and eat some of the best seafood you've ever had. I promise you will not be disappointed in any way 💯.

Excellent service. Aubry who is a pillar and wealth of information helped us from beginning to end. Their service was is impeccable. The Cesar salad was delicious and it's huge. I also ordered and enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms that came to the table sizzling hot and absolutely scrumptious. Go for yourself and enjoy! I would've given the restaurant 5 stars but they were out of half oysters in the shell.

Wow, such a delicious diner-esque spot! It took 15 minutes for the two of us to be seated on a busy Friday night. Service was prompt and we ordered 6 charboiled oysyers and the half seafood platter. Wow, so delicious and SO much food.
The oysters were a game changer. Oysters oven-broiled on the half shell with lemon, garlic, butter, Pecorino Romano cheese and spices. Perfect bites.
The half seafood platter - a steal at $38.95. It was a mountain of food - we could only eat half and packed the rest to go. A bounty of fresh shrimp, oysters, catfish, soft shell crabs and crawfish balls, served with French fries. The soft shell crab was my favorite.

Places of great. From the moment you get in to the moment you leave.
Food was delicious
Well priced
Highly recommended for everyone and it is kids friendly
Paul Walker
Great food and atmosphere. They were very accommodating for my party of 24.
Cynthia Smith
This food was so good!!! Didn't take pics of our appetizers (calamari, shrimp wrapped in bacon) we were hungry!!! But this was our shared meal....No we didn't eat all of it 🤗 Our waitress was WONDERFUL (I can't recall her name, Trisha?), she was friendly, funny and professional. She made our visit there memorable. Will definitely return. If you're looking for good food, healthy portions and worth the cost....Deanie's is your place.
Catherine Dean
Omg. The BEST food i have ever put in my mouth! Everything we had, and passed around, was the bomb! Clean. Friendly waiter, myron, who ended things with a heavenly mixed carrot cake/cheesecake. Un believable :D
Carsyn E
Awesome place! We had to wait a while but eventually found seats at the bar. This place is worth the wait! Great food—I got the charbroiled oysters and stuffed crab. The staff was working incredibly hard to cater to the large crowd!
I would recommend sitting at the bar on a busy weekend to save time. You can order drinks from the bar if you are waiting on a table but you can only order food if you are sitting at the bar.
Author Neva Squires-Rodriguez
Nice clean restaurant, strong drinks. Very large portions.
Sarah Langlinais
We went around 3pm on Friday for late lunch/early dinner & was seated quickly. We ordered Onion Rings as appetizer, fried shrimp poboy (which was huge!) BBQ Shrimp appetizer as my meal & BBQ Shrimp pasta for my husband's meal. He also ordered Crab meat au gratin & stuffed shrimp a la cart. I'm not a big fan of crab but it was good. We enjoyed everything. I'd been craving the BBQ shrimp for months & it didn't disappoint! We ordered pecan pie & ice cream for dessert & it was really good! We dug into dessert before snapping a pic though!
Carol Boynton
Excellent food and service, worth the wait, we ate there twice during our stay in NOLA, the grilled red fish was very good
Shari Eaton
The food was amazing and our server Davey was so great! He really took care of us and gave advice for while we were in New Orleans.
Nick Rama (Nick's Local Eats)
Deanie’s Seafood.... Worth the 45 min wait in line to get a table and it's dang legit! I had the Crawfish Quartet - Louisiana crawfish prepared four delicious ways – crawfish étouffée, crawfish bisque, fried crawfish tails and crawfish balls. New favorite food is Crawfish Balls!
My wife had the Giant Seafood Platter (1/2 version) - A bounty of fresh shrimp, oysters, catfish, soft shell crabs and crawfish balls, served with French fries. The fried seafood is amazeballs here and very fresh.
My son got the Crawfish Étouffée - Étouffée - "to smother." Louisiana crawfish tails smothered in a buttery blend of onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic. Served over rice with salad and French bread. Kiddo approved.
I had to get the giant souvenir Crawfish Cup of Hurricane! A New Orleans classic with Cruzan Guava and Cruzan Raspberry Rum, mix of fruity juices and Hurricane Mix. Strong, but really sweet.
Brian Giambalvo
Delicious food selections of every type. Quick service and great drink options. I go every time I'm in town. Great tradition!
Matt B.
Only mistake was going on a Friday evening, waited 1.5 hours but seriously, totally worth it.
I'm from the northeast and for the amount of money I paid, it doesn't come close to the portion size, this place did it right.
Had the seafood platter, crawfish etouffee seafood gumbo and char boiled oyster.
First night in New Orleans, and it was great.
Service was great, friendly staff too.
It seems like they are open only 50% capacity (COVID-19), but don't let that discourage you from going. If you are making a list of places to go and eat in New Orleans, this place needs to be on your list.
If you are drinking remember to tip your bartender my friends.
aliece collins
Food was great, lots of food came on my plate. Service was excellent. They were super busy but worth the drive from Mobile. The only issue is that they charge a pretty large gratuity already in your bill that I was not expecting. But great service still.
Nadine Jackson
This places is off the chain food is grrrrrrrreatttttt. Come with a big appetite and a lot of patience because it's a little wait time.
Erik Valenti
Second time here and it does not disappoint! The BBQ shrimp are amazing. Come hungry!
Rolita Sanders
Beautiful atmosphere and great service.....awesome size portions
Alicia Johnson
The patrons at the bar were very friendly and accommodating by volunteering to make room for our party of 5. The food was delicious! My mom (doesn't eat seafood) loved the onion rings! The charbroiled oysters were excellent. Our server, Cagney was superb in her service as well as her conversation. It's definitely a place to visit.
Andy
The only place I visited twice. Jessica the bartender was the best!
Gafney21
I went here while visiting my daughter and the food was good. Salad is great, fish great, stuffed balls great but the fried crab was not for me lol The waiter Danielle was not hospitable at all. They don't serve ranch or butter/garlic sauce for seafood. The amount of food they give you is good I just expected a different experience 🤷🏽♀️ 🍹 were good too
Anya Owens
The food was amazing and service was even better. They give boiled potatos as a free starter and Traci was the best server I have ever had. She taught me how to properly peel shrimp and I will use her method forever. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to come back.
Felicia Jean Cresci
This place is amazing! Of course this place will bring lots of tourists because of it's location, but when you see locals in there you know it's good. Being a new resident to New Orleans I have been busy checking out many places and this place will be a new "go to" place for me. First of all the seafood gumbo was the best I've ever tasted, the charbroiled oysters where amazing, and the shrimp po-boy that my friend had was too big for her to finish so I decided to be a good friend and help her out, I'm so glad I did, it was really the best I've had since moving here.
Besides the great food, the service was equally as good and there was such a good, positive vibe among all the employees. Our server Rebecca was so helpful with her honest suggestions, and overall an awesome person, not only that, she is a great bartender and made me my martini just the way I like it, actually I had two:). I will definitely be going there on a regular basis!
Unfortunately I didn't take a photo while there but this is blocks away on my way there this past Saturday.
Mickey D
Was told to go here by our flight attendant on the flight to NOLA.
We ordered the onion rings and the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer... onion rings five stars. Crispy light crunchy batter ... perfect. And a lot of it. Mushrooms ... if you like butter and cheese ... you will love the dish.
Boiled shrimp wedge salad was the entree. Really good ... I asked for horseradish to add ... yum
Nick P
Great local spot. Seafood platter, potatoes, sweet potato yams, and Cole slaw are good. Service is good as well.
Joel Azopardi
This was recommended by a local Uber driver so I went in with high expectations. Sadly it's just another very highly priced tourist trap. The food wasn't bad, just not as great as some of the less known places.
That said, the service was excellent and the other patrons around the bar were all friendly.
It is conveniently open fairly late
Allan N
Service was great, nice casual feel and the BBQ shrimp was AMAZING!!!
EDIT: Came back again yesterday ( 3 years later ) and still and great as the first time. Do yourself a favour and eat here 👍👍👍
Big Moe
This place was outstanding. Just off Bourbon St., we walked to this place and it was bustling. I had the fried shrimp and cat fish meal. The atmosphere was great. We sat at the bar and was served fast with smiles. I will always visit when in town. 5stars.
Koko's Boathouse 2.0
Love this place! We ate here recently and everything was just top notch.
Service was a delight, food and drinks were a dream and prices were steep but on the reasonable end.
Our party ate here 3 times in 8 days.
Do yourself a favor.
Billy Johnson
I’m 56 and have never left a review of a restaurant in my life. The food was fresh and amazing. The service was amazing. The largest portion for the price I’ve ever had. I will never come back to New Orleans without eating here again.
Carribean Queen
Let just start off with how IMMPECABLBE the service was Big thanks to Our server Tasha. Tasha was extremely professional and well versed on the menu. They were very accommodating due to My gluten allergy. That seafood platter, Crab and Shrimp DAMN GOOD you'll need a nap.
Kyren Carrington
The food was super delicious, me and five are the friends ordered different dishes. Everything was hot fresh off the stove, everything was seasoned to the taste that I was looking for. I really enjoyed my meal, actually we all did. Thanks
Adam West
This was a random stop when we 1st got to town. The food and service was delicious!
Try the voodoo juice!
margaret moore
Lovely restuarant, very clean, tables are not too close together. Food was fantastic with huge servings, perfectly cooked, delicious deserts. Everyone loved their food. Great experience. 5/5 would definitely recommend!!
Donna LeCates
I ordered the gluten free shrimp with fries to go. I had my food in what seemed like maybe 5 minutes. It was so good and light. I definitely will come back. Breanna not sure if I spelled her name correctly was working the bar and took my order. She was very friendly and pleasant. She also made sure she put in the food allergy.
Tyler Macmillan
Nice airy and bright restaurant with great food and service. Awesome onion rings and bacon wrapped shrimp were appetizers for the table, followed up by the stuffed shrimp dinner that was delish! If you are into fried food, this place has a massive seafood platter!
Joseph Feliciano
I find it impossible for anyone to have a bad meal in this location. You're only negative feedback will be the long line you will have to wait in if you get there too late. Their cocktails are excellent and is only matched by their food. Do yourself a favor, if you are in New Orleans and before you hit Bourbon St, come to this place for a meal, you will thank me later. PS, Gumbo Galore !! but my favorite is their catfish etouffee!!
Cody Shotwell
Friends recommended trying this place for their barbecue shrimp and they did not disappoint
Dale Cash
When you order, expect 2-3 times the food you think would come on a plate. It was absolutely wonderful and the server was refreshing. It was like we were visiting her home and she was taking care of us. So personable.
Finch
This place is great. When we walked in it felt like a generic seafood restaurant but the food was some of the highest quality we had during our trip. Price is so adorable for the quality of our food. We had the soup sampler, barbecue shrimp, and char broiled oysters. Everything was delicious. Their crawfish bisque was my favorite!
Debbie Zappen
Went to Deanie's Seafood with a couple of friends for dinner. They brought some complementary potatoes & butter to table before we ordered. We shared stuffed mushrooms & 6 broiled oysters. One friend got the half seafood plate while I shared the shrimp pasta w/ garlic bread & a side of crabmeat au gratin with the other one. The food was delicious & plentiful. The service was very good as well.
LaCrisha Harden
It was our first time. Some of the food items was delicious and some of the food needed a lot of work. The staff was very friendly a d knew the menu very well. The dishes 1-4 👍 and 5-6 👎they lack seasoning.
Tyson
Stopped here for lunch upon arriving in NO. Great atmosphere, nice location. The boiled potatoes that were brought out (instead of bread like at most other places) were a nice treat! We started out with the stuffed mushrooms, followed by a shrimp po boy for me, seafood salad for April. Food tasted great and portion sizes were huge. Friendly staff, would definitely go back.
Michael Rossi
Fabulous. I’ve only eaten at the Deanie’s in Bucktown, so this was my first time here. The areas inside and outside the restaurant were super clean. The staff here was very friendly. Onion rings were almost identical to the ones in Bucktown and are straight fire. Handmade, not frozen, and full of flavor. Shrimp po boy was as good as any I have ever had. Bread was perfect with a nice crunch and soft inside. Good flavor on the shrimp and not heavily breaded. Great selection at the bar as well. A+ guys.
Billie Jo Braun
Lived up to the hype 🙌
Audrey was a really great server. The food presentation was great, tasted very good. I do not eat seafood so I had the chicken gumbo a Cheeseburger and fries. The gumbo was insanely good!
My fiancé had the Seafood Gumbo, crawfish soup, bacon wrapped shrimp and Redfish. He loved it all but definitely couldn't finish it.
We took desert to-go, and we're glad we did! The Pecan Pie and Cheesecake were the perfect late night snack 😋
I'd go back.
Toni Fejer
We love this restaurant too! Very generous portions! Get there early for dinner. We arrived at 5:45 and had to wait for 30 minutes. Our waitress Chloe was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and menu! The red potatoes and butter that are served as a free appetizer are yummy! The iced tea is really good too!!!!
Janice Holt
I have not eaten yet but our plan is to eat here as soon as we get there and this will be our 1st time coming back to New Orleans since the big storm 8n 2008 so I am expecting to have a great time while we are here the weekend before my Birthday !!! But the Reviews sounds positive
Rob P
Amazing atmosphere with spacious seating. The warm and friendly staff, accommodated our group of 12 easily. Our amazing waiter was Brandi, she handled our group well. The food was delicious, seasoned well, potions were plentiful, and reasonably priced. Most of the group got Po’boys. Pictured here is the shrimp, catfish Po’boys and seafood platter. Everyone in our group left pleased and full. Deanie’s is highly recommended, especially if you have a large group.
Celeste E
Good food, and great service from our server Colby!
Tim Piland
This was a profoundly good meal. Fantastic service and wonderful atmosphere. The little boiled potato appetizer was a really neat way to start the meal. They also brought us a literal mountain of homemade onion rings. We had gumbo crawfish bisque and etoufee. Also a huge seafood platter and the bread pudding for dessert. Cannot reccomend highly enough! Will be back again and again! Cant wait to try everything on the menu!
Marquette Turner
They give large portions and service was wonderful
Meg
Deanie's Seafood was absolutely delicious! My husband and I shared the half seafood platter and the portion was more than plenty for 2. This is the best place for dinner in New Orleans to get your moneys worth!!
Anthony Wagner
I hadn't been to Deanie's since 1997/8 -ish, & that was the Bucktown/Fat City location. First time at the French Quarter restaurant. We ordered the Blackened Redfish and onion rings for takeout to bring back to the 21st Amendment at La Louisiane. Had a Bulliet Old Fashion while I waited. Service was curt, & attentive (it was almost 9:30 p.m., 30 minutes away from closing, Sunday night). The food was delicious, as the tastes immediately reminded me of that last time all those years ago.⚜️
Michelle Maloy
Oh my all I have to say is yummy! The food was delicious and fresh and amazing. The location was very convenient on Chantal street. They had a full bar as well. The portions were enormous and enough to feed more than one person. The barbecue shrimp were huge prawns and might have been the best I’ve ever tasted. The sauce they are marinated in is superb but prepare to wear a bib or get messy. The prices aren’t too bad either. I loved the bbq shrimp pasta as well. I would definitely return here to eat again! Also if you take a pic of their ad at the airport you get 10% off the check.
Aariyah Deshay
Everyone so nice pleased with the food quality and customer service must visit this place food is fresh as it gets
Aiyshwariya PK
This was our first stop during our New Orleans trip and I immediately knew I made a good decision visiting this city. The food here just blew my mind. Omg. We got the gumbo and stuffed shrimp and it was amazing. We were also given complimentary steamed(?) potatoes. Our server was super nice and cool. It did seem a bit pricey but highly recommend!
Kicker Cardenas Farris
The food was great and the staff was very friendly. Our waitress was great and made amazing suggestions. The chicken and sausage gumbo was perfect! I had the barbecue shrimp pasta to skip the shrimp head. Pizza was actually really good too. I recommend going before noon to skip the line.
Kyle Benger
The servers and the food were awesome. Period. The folks at the door were simply rude and extremely unhelpful. If you can tolerate that you will have a great meal.
Nic Payne
It's been several years since my first visit and I'm still as equally impressed! A great variety of New Orleans food. The cajun potatoes were so good. A great choice instead of the usual bread & butter at the table! Definitely will be doing this one at my dinner table! I will return
Beautifully_ Blossomed92
Every time I’ve gone to New Orleans, I make sure I make a trip to Deanie’s! I’ve dined at the location in the French Quarter, and Metairie but, I prefer the one in the French Quarter. The spicy potatoes that they offer for the appetizer are so good but, taste spicier at the French Quarter location. It’s funny because both times my husband and I visited the location in the French Quarter we’ve had the same waitress. She was a sweetheart, extremely friendly, and her service was worth returning for.
C T
Great food is perfectly cooked.
Nancy Coll
They don't take reservations so the wait can be long. However the food was very good with HUGE portions. The fried catfish was great but twice as much as I could eat. We also tried the shrimp and oyster dinners which we're slightly smaller and equally as good.
Robb Ross
Deanie's is a must. Start with the BBQ shrimp, baked Oysters, Seafood gumbo then move on to the catfish and shrimp platter, you won't be disappointed. Bring your appetite, the portions are big.
Julien Singh
Food was amazing. The bbq shrimp was the best. Our server Corey G. was the best. He was friend and very helpful. A must in NOLA!
J F
Great seafood platter and Cosmo....came back in June of 22 and things were different. Half of the tables were closed off and were told it would be an hour wait. We took awalk and came back 30 minutes later and when we went to check our place on the list we were told it would still be another hour. It was. The food was still very good although for some reason no fried oysters were available on any of the plates that advertised them, only raw oysters were available so they substitute more fried fish.
Shoaib Shaikh
Love this place. Had multiple meals at Deanie's during our stay in New Orleans and loved every dish that we tried. Service in the afternoons is amazing but the evening is a bit slow but I guess that is because to staff do get very busy in the evenings.
marlyse benitah
The atmosphere is fun. I went there because my husband likes seafood. I don't. I had a really good salad though.
Rowena Flores
Went here for dinner cuz my sis-in-law was craving their BBQ shrimp, which btw, was excellent! NOLA BBQ isn't your typically BBQ--it's made with tons of butter--so duh, it's really tasty! They were huge head-on shrimps--the best way to have shrimp, IMO. We also ordered their 1/2 seafood platter --one broiled, one fried. So we tried to be half way healthy, which just doesn't really work when you're in NOLA. The fried versions were definitely better than the broiled, but there are other restaurants that have more flavor and better breading. We did enjoy their trio of soups; we got the Gumbo, Etouffé and the Bisque. Service was ok, but nothing to write home about.
MELISSA PENA
I loved it! The portions are huge so bring your appetite. The gumbo was delicious and so was the catfish and fries. We tried to save room for the cheesecake but just couldnt do it!
A R
Great food, generous portions. Came twice while in town. First time we had crab stuffed shrimp, second time the Mahi Mahi with a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo...WOW! The fish was soo buttery, the gumbo absolutely left you wanting more! The red boiled potatoes...😋 …
Aisha Thomas
I normally love the food and service at Deanie's but this time the service and food was very mediocre. Everything lacked seasoning except for the barbecue shrimp and the free boiled potatoes that they bring for the table. I was looking forward to the gumbo and the crab dip but it was no where near as good as it used to be. The gumbo looked and tasted like gravy and hardly had any meat in it and it needed seasoning salt which we had to request. Our waiter seemed like he was either new or lost he was very slow.
Rebecca H.
We ate here twice during our visit. The first time we were starving haven just gotten into the City. I absolutely loved the Crawfish Gumbo & Crawfish boudin. The place has a bit of a diner feel, we were greeted and seated very quickly. Our waitress brought out boiled potatoes which were a delightful change from bread. We also tried the 1/2 Fried Platter because I have never had a soft shell crab. Everything came out very hot and with more then enough food. My only slight disappointment was the dessert options. They only had Coconut Bread pudding, that just isn't for me. If you are in town and didn't think ahead to make a dinner reservation Deanie's is a solid option.
J C
I took a uber twice in the city, and both drivers recommended Deanis’s seafood restaurant, so I had to see what it was like. What I experienced was above average but not the best and did not deserve full five stars.
First of all, I did some research and learned that the most popular menu is the seafood platter. A half seafood platter was recommended for a party of two. Fried fish was the best amongst the variety of fried items in the dish. I lost my appetite after eating the fried soft shell crab; it was not fresh at all.
We went the night before Mardi Gras around 6 PM, and there was a long line out the door. But the wait reduced quite quickly, and we were seated within 20mins.
Ambiance - a family restaurant vibe, nothing fancy
Service - nothing exceptional, but professional
Pricing - the seafood platter was overpriced for the given portion
I don't think I will return to Deanie’s when I revisit NOLA, but I would still recommend my friends if they are visiting NOLA for once, at least.
Susan McCaslin
This was by far the best restaurant during our stay. Colby, our waiter was exceptional, friendly, made great suggestions. The food was amazing!
R. Joseph
The food here was simply amazing. The onion rings we ordered were great. I ordered the shrimp/cat combo and it was awesome. The food was really fresh and plentiful. I will definitely visit this place the next time I am in New Orleans.
Patrick-Julian Q. Fulgado
The restaurant was recommended by a relative so we gave it a try. Shared the half seafood platter which is plenty for 2-3 people. It is available steamed by the way even if the menu doesn't list it. Also got a complimentary boiled spicy potatoes as an appetizer instead of a usual bread. We felt the platter was good but we had better seafood during our trip. Service was nice and didn't wait too long. Prices are reasonable and not a long wait like other places.
Chad Isnor
Fresh and flavourful comfort food in a very busy environment. We lucked out with our timing; we arrived just before 6 PM and only had to wait a few minutes for a table and the line of people waiting quickly built up shortly afterward. The customer service was excellent. Our server, Aubrey, was a rock star; they checked in often and our drinks never ran out before they got refilled. The portions were gigantic - we all left happy and stuffed. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic!
John Hsieh
We loved Deanie's! A no frill, all out seafood restaurant. We were quite lucky that the wait wasn't too bad (20 min.) on the night we visited. After ordering our meal, the server brought some plain looking potatoes... that turned out to have been boiled in the seafood boil. What a way to show off the seafood boil flavoring in something so simple. Unfortunately, we didn't get any of our seafood boiled, but got everything fried. We had the fried calamari, crawfish etouffee, and the half seafood platter. What can I say, we love our fried seafood. It might break some foodie's heart to learn that Deanie's uses some of the freshest ingredients in the not so "delicate" cooking style of deep frying. However, we're happy to report that the well-seasoned frying batter and the perfect frying temperature was done just right as to not destroy the freshness of the seafood, but rather greatly enhanced and protected the flavors. The fried calamari were fresh and helped tied us over while the giant platter of seafood was getting cooked. The platter: soft shell crab on top dipped well in the horse radish sauce, catfish went great smothered in the crawfish etouffee, fried shrimp and oysters were dipped in tarter and cocktail sauce, respectively, and we didn't quite know what to do with the crawfish balls... the balls were kind of the unloved child on the fresh seafood platter. As much as we tried, we just simply could not finish the HALF platter. The service was friendly and we overheard the server patiently teach another table on the way to consume boiled crawfish. The decor was diner style and unassuming.
A M
Barbecue shrimp (think that's what it was) was absolutely delicious. Artichoke hearts were nothing to write home about. Server had a bit of an attitude.
eric meadows
This place is usually quite busy. It's a bit touristy but the food is pretty good. Service is fast for the volume they do. Crawfish were very good. Char-Grilled oysters weren't bad but they don't compare to the originals from the Metairie location of Drago's.
Marco Marone
I was told by my UBER driver that this place was a must in New Orleans. It may be cliché to say, but Deanie's was probably one of my most satisfying dining experiences I had in the city. Everything was impeccable from the food to the service.
Troy Hounshell
Outstanding service and even better food!! Will be back!
MrTsteele05
Ok so let’s get this out the way. You’re gonna have to wait a little while to get a seat in this jewel but it is well worth the wait. The host was insightful and very helpful not only with his own restaurant but also the local flare. I was impressed by the wealth of knowledge we got from him. The food was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. If you like seafood and don’t mind loosening your belt after a meal this is the place for dinner. The adult beverages were good as well. No complaints whatsoever. I had a large party and we were all taken care of patiently and professionally. I will definitely be coming back my next trip to New Orleans!
Tristan Rethman
Very nice and spacious place with friendly and quick service. We enjoyed the barbeque shrimp and the redfish but they were only okay.
Ricky Moorehead
We had a bit of a wait nothing to bad. The food was okay, we liked the fried catfish and shrimp. We didn't like the fried oysters or the fried blue crabs. We love crab but the blue crab is more like eating mostly shell and breading. No thanks. Would go back and have fried catfish and shrimp.
samantha barnes
The food was amazing, we got poboys, the portains are soooo big it can feed 2 which is rare and appreciated. You also get free patatos l. Wish I could go more!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Rob
First time here and I must say I really enjoyed the Catfish. Dinner. The NOLA beer was pretty good to.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Just one man’s opinion. You’ll be the best judge.
Enjoy and please like if this helps you decide where to eat next.
Elizabeth Guzman
Very good food and great service! The wait it's a bit long but sure worth the wait. They need benches so people can sit while they wait since we waited 1 1/2 hrs would have been nice to at least not have to stand. But the food it's so good that they still gave them 5 🌟! …
Crystal Mayo
My first time visiting Deanie's the wait was 30 mins and it was worth it. Instead of bread, Deanie's gives you seafood broil potatoes and butter 🤤 I had the crab dip for my app. Its served with homemade chips. For my entree I had the seafood broil pizza. It was yummy! My first time having seafood on pizza. I got the Voodoo juice for my drink. I couldn't taste the liquor in it, it tasted just like kool-aid. However, the drink did pack a punch that I felt later that night. Will definitely be going back to Deanie's.
Ken Gallegos
Food was good! Got the crab meat nachos for the appetizer, it’s was alright. I got the crawfish etoufee and it was very bland. My son got the soft shell crab Po Boy that he said was very good.
S Dobbe
It was my first time at this restaurant we waited about 45 to be seated. The place can be a little pricey but it was good food and good service. Love the seafood nachos they use potato chips instead of tortillas. The potatoes they give you when you seat down are super just dont eat too many if you will get full before the entree.
Stephanie Simms
They start your meal with potatoes. I'm not sure I should go on from there! We come here for the BBQ shrimp and it is buttery and delicious. This place feels a little like a chain restaurant-it is very large and polished but the food is consistent and good.
Tamara Horne
Have been visiting Deanie's since 2000. Every year since. This is the location in the French Quarter but I have also visited the Bucktown location (twice). My favorite is the BBQ shrimp. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!! I leave with the sauce and extra bread to dip. I can never eat all of the shrimp at one sitting. They are HUGE! The fried platters are awesome as well. Good service, efficient pace for the crowds, great drinks. They automatically add the tip, even in parties less than 6- I can't recall if that is during events only or a regular practice. Most of the time I go, it's for a festival, holiday or NFL game.
Walter Wilson
This was my 3rd time and my wife's 1st. She definitely enjoyed the food and the waitress was cool. She was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I always try to come here at least once when I visit. We tried the stuffed flounder, barbeque shrimp pasta and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was great.
Charles Conti
Very friendly staff. Great selection of liquors and wines. Food came out in under 7 minutes.. Portions were huge!! Took half of each of our dinner's home.
Norrisa Walker
Great food and atmosphere. Fish was fried so good. I enjoyed my birthday lunch
Emma Miller
DELICIOUS!! We went around 630 on a Friday and sat right down at the bar. I had the stuffed crab and it was amazing. The bartender was friendly and made sure we ordered something we were going to like. It’s also just a few steps off bourbon street, so we were able to go there after dinner!
Dolphins
I have tried a lot of gumbo, but I've never tasted gumbo that was as delicious as the one they sell here as well as the crab cakes. I would give this place a 10/10
Tony Stringer
Being from Ventura California this was some good food.
April Perkins
Short 10 minute wait on New Year’s Day. In town for a mother-daughter trip. Quick service and delicious meal. I had the crabmeat dressing stuffed flounder.
Katie Branting
Deanies was recommended by one of my Uber drivers, specifically for the charbroiled oysters. It was my first time trying New Orleans oysters and they were delicious!! Our waitress was very good and even recommended a wine that ended up being our favorite of the trip. Chill place and we got in quick even with how busy it was. Would eat here again!
Sukrit Gupta
One of the best seafood places in the US hands down!! The barbeque shrimp that I had here was so good that I just hoped it never got over. The pasta is very delicious too. Highly recommend asking for the bartenders choice for the drinks if you're waiting in the bar area.
Joseph Shqutaj
The stuffed flounder was amazing, perfectly cooked and amazing flavor. The waitress was friendly too. Can’t wait to go back.
Ronald Hardrick
Off the strength of some coworkers we tried this. It was ok. We had the crab dip which was just ok. I then had the shrimp and catfish which was very good. The catfish was very fresh and I enjoyed that. My wife had the stuffed grouper. She did not like the crab stuffing in the flounder but enjoyed the fish. Nice area and good service. Food was just ok.

Our concierge recommend Deannie's and he was right! Food was superb and the bartender professional and he knew all about the seafood. The hurricane is a must drink!!!!!!
Kids Corner Adventures
So I ate at Deanies for the first time back in 2013. I remember it being really great, but for the life of me I couldn’t remember the name or the location. I have been back to New Orleans several times Since then and have always tried to remember where it was but never could. I just got back from a work trip and on the first night I was there my co worker and I were trying to find dinner but didn’t want to travel too far from our hotel so we could get back to work quickly. We just happened upon Deanies, and the name didn’t ring a bell at all but as soon as I walked in the door I knew I had found it. The long lost restaurant. I had the blackened red fish covered in crawfish Étouffée. It was amazing! I also got the bread pudding also amazing. I also ate at Oceana and Felix’s on this trip but I have to say Deanies is by far the best. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy this place once again. I definitely won’t be forgetting it this time.
Will Wang
Feels a little tourist trappy but food is excellent. Would be happy to eat here again, although it is a bit pricey.
Lady J
It is well worth the wait in line. The food is delicious! The half Seafood platter fed three of us and we were all full. The free boiled potatoes are very tasty. Be careful not to eat too many you may not be able to eat your meal!!!
Amanda Clark
Very busy spot! But some of the most perfectly fried seafood I've had in a long time. The oysters were silky on the inside and crunchy on the outside and the shrimp was crispy and bouncy
KC
Out of every restaurant i visited in the main tourist area of New Orleans, this was the best. Everything that was brought out to me was amazing. After a couple flops of hyped up restaurants (*cough* creole house & red slipper), I could really taste the freshness and quality in the food. All of the servers eere so sweet and kind and not only attentive but good at holding a decent conversation. It gave that final A+ to seal the deal. My server Renelle was so sweet, knew the menu well enough to answer questions and know what to suggest when asked. Truly an amazing person. Along with another server who was so sweet. Back to the food: everything was well seasoned and balanced. The stuffed mushrooms are great and so is the blackened redfish. I was very impressed.
lindsay fitzpatrick
The fried platter was amazing ! We ordered the half which is plenty for 4 people . The staff was friendly and the service was A1.
camille duncan
Great food, long wait to get inside but it's worth it.
Brett Gottfried
Service was great, friendly and fast. The food was okay. Caeser salad had a lot of dressing on it, just a bit too much. The bacon on the shrimp needed to be cooked a bit longer. However, the shrimp was good.
William Hyman
BLUF- Good seafood, huge portions, friendly service
This place was highly recommended by our Uber driver. Was told to get the seafood platter and crab nachos. Went on a Saturday night about 8pm. A table for 2 was a hour wait. We lucked up and got a spot at the bar. The place was hopping. I ordered the nachos and the shrimp and catfish platter (seafood platter had oyster and softshell crab which I dont do). My fiancee ordered the shrimp platter. Bartender never put in the nacho order... smh. By the time I realized we hadn't got it the food was coming so it wasn't a major deal (about 15mins from time of order). The portions were large. Seafood was extreme fresh. Shrimp was seasoned ok but the catfish lacked seasoning. (I'm starting to think the Old Bay I'm used to on Baltimore has me spoiled). The fries that came with the platter was disappointing. They seemed like they had sat for a while. (This was a complaint in a review I read as well) My fiancee's platter was similar. Both came with cole slaw which was excellent. The bartender Jeff was really cool. Great conversation. Overall, good value, good taste. Would definitely return.
Annee Pham
Great seafood & po boy. The half seafood platter was more than enough for two people! You can have it fried or boiled. The fried version had a nice batter and the stuffed crab that came along with it was nicely seasoned. We also ordered the soft-shelled crab po boy. It had two nice crabs in it. The food quality, service, and price was great.
Paul A.
Long wait while having so many open spaces. The bartenders are great, and the voodoo drink was good
Errika Lowe
As busy as they are Deanie's was still able to expedite the food quickly. I had the half platter which was more than enough for 2 people. Along with their top shelf speciality margarita. I definitely will be back when I'm in the city again.
Shaun 87
Good not great. Food is good but I think I lot of the outstanding remarks comes from tourist. The real reason this isn't a 4 star review is the mandatory tip. Our table was charged $25 in tip
Britt Huggins
Soo worth it! This place was highly recommended and surpassed my expectations. I got a half shrimp/ half catfish poboy. DELECTABLE!! I can’t wait to go back when I visit.
Christine Kelln
Oh man, this place is so good. The bloody Mary is so damn good, I've literally never had better. They start you off with potatoes from the Crawfish bakes. They need no salt nor pepper. I can't believe I love a potato so much! Fast, friendly wait staff and wonderful bathrooms. Highly recommended!
Neka T
If you love Seafood this is a must visit. The food portions are great, you will get your money's worth.
Mikey Montoya
Went in for Dinner and holy sweet mother of food gods!! This place was delicious!! From the potatoes they give ya when you first sit down to the calamari appetizer the homemade marinara sauce was to die for. Hope you come to this place to truly eat because their portions are HUGE!! Amazing quality in in their food. What made our experience the absolute best was our waitress Sophie!!! Her true southen hospitality really set the bar for our time here in NOLA. Thank you Sophie!!!!
Davon A
I had a pretty decent Po Boy and me and my lady had some good steamed crawfish. The gumbo was excellent as well
Sunny's mom
Very nice place, staff is friendly and food is deliciousness
Andrea Allen
My boyfriend and I shared the half seafood platter! So amazing and money well spent. The portion was huge.
kenyatta cole
A hidden gem 💎 This place is Awesome. The food is the best. Huge portions and the red potatoes 🥔 are 🔥 also the shrimp and crab dip is the 💣 Don’t sleep on this place, the cleanliness, ambiance and the friendly service is tip top. Better than all the other well known restaurants in the French Quarter. I love it because the food is great and not overly seasoned. Enjoy 😊
TRECEYb Finney
It was ok, the wait was fun with the hostess, she was sweet. The food options didn't do much for me (I also wasn't that hungry) the hurricane drink was AMAZING!
Mel On
Excellent fried seafood - I asked around and tried a few places to confirm. Came back again for the shrimp po boy and it was excellent too. The place is popular and wait times are as long as 1.5 hours, so don't become angry and instead plan ahead. Drinks are good and it's usually crowded and noisy, but with a positive vibe. You do get a lot of food and prices are okay, but compared to other places that are mediocre and charge the same, you do much better here.
Mansour Al-Amer
An excellent sea food restuarant.
Although the place was crowded, the staff were friendly and the service was fast. The design of the restaurant was nice.
I recommend trying the shrimp and catfish combo dinner as well as stuffed mushrooms.
If you like sea food, you should try this restuarant.
Marquis Slaughter
Best fried seafood I've ever had ever in my life of living! Lmao!!!! Seriously though, great food and atmosphere. The personnel were nice and made it a great experience. We ordered the plater (included picture) with oysters, soft crab, crawfish balls, and shrimp. We shared it between 4 people and still had leftovers. It was a great price as well! The overall experience was phenomenal, the total package. I'm itching to come back to visit! I most definelty can't wait!
Hyper Sports
O’my the food was so delicious and the staff was so patient and knowledgeable of their products. Myrion was our waiter and he was awesome
Yana Turner
This was our first time...
The 40 minute wait to get in was a little tough; but, was so very worth it! Just note, from where we were in line, that's how long it took... Sure each experience may vary!
We were lucky! We sat down and ordered 15 minutes before official closing time, but yet = EVERYTHING was still Absolutely fresh and Yummy! Definitely a go the next time we are in town!! 💜
Faiz Memon
Amazing meal here..worth the wait. the oysters, crawfish and shrimp are excellent.
David Tsiarletski
Broiled oysters were really good. Crawfish was nice and spicy. They don’t outside eating which sucks
SV SV
Food was fire period....fried catfish and shrimp was amazing!!! The Voodoo juice was a nice cocktail and the tartar sauce was fire too!!!
Rui Wang
They were out of boiled crawfish the day I went but everything else was great
Stevie B
OMG THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!!! The line goes by quick, the service is great, the food is so so good. Must see place for sure!! Did I mention my friend found two Pearl's in her oysters!!!
gee wiz
I Love Deanies but didn't get my fried platter cause my son didn't want fried food and it was too much for me alone massive amounts of food, so I got the alacarte stuff shrimp very tasty, the crab balls were too mushy inside they needed somthing to thicken the mixture. It was my first time eating oysters charbroiled very good.
Gail Agamie
Good experience. Crawfish were good, drinks and service exceptional~
Toby Trevett
Excellent. Very good. Tough to beat the seafood platter. Raw oysters are always good. Two thumbs up.
Ebony Thomas
Me and a group of girls from Ky visited one afternoon. The person who seated us didn't have the best attitude but thankfully Renelle was our waitress. She apologized for the lady, was very pleasant, upbeat personality, explained things on the menu very well that we were unfamiliar with and she was really pretty. She had us try the charbroiled oysters with extra char. We ended up loving it even my friend who doesn't eat seafood! We got etoufette, stuffed covered shrimp, bbq seafood type of pasta, po boy, seafood salad (that was so fresh it tasted straight out the sea). No complaints about anything, we all loved it & it was seasoned to perfection. Can't wait to come back, will request Renelle when I do!
Andrew Patterson
We had GREAT service. Our orders came out right away. The potatoes were a great way to start. The salads and dressings were outstanding. The main meals were BBQ shrimp and the crawfish etouffee. Both were very good. I definitely recommend this place.
John Kim
This place is awesome. I was going to order a boiled seafood, but it wasn’t the right time of the year for that. Instead, we ordered a shrimp barbeque and a.....craw fish gumbo (?). They were amazing. My suggestion: put some oil from the barbeque to the gumbo soup and mix it.
Johnny Wallace
We had dinner here on 5/14/202. Enjoyed very much.
Norris White
My son in law told me about this place. My goodness I had an omelette the best I've ever had, French toast was good. One of the best breakfast we had in New Orleans. Don't let the long line fool you we sat the bar which we enjoyed watching them make the drinks.
Rokeisha Alfred
Great atmosphere. Excellent portion sizes. The food was great. The drinks were great. The staff was very friendly and entertaining. We arrived about 15 mins before closing and they didn't rush us or make us feel as if they were ready to leave. Will definitely return again
Detrick Clark
Deanie’s Seafood is a hidden gem in the French Quarter!! Deanie’s has the best Catfish Po’boy in the city. The soft shell blue crab and shrimp dip was excellent as well! You definitely get your monies worth!!
Dewania Seaton
I OVERLOVE this place! The food was Amazing and the service was phenomenal. The next time I'm in New Orleans I will definitely be going back!
Steve Nash
Much better then the tourist spot across the road. This place is huge and fast service and wonderful food! You like oysters? Come here and enjoy.
Get a seat at the bar and have a cold. Great prices for a joint just off Bourbon street.
Lamarr English
Portion sizes are huge. Waits aren’t very long. Got a catfish PO boy that could feed three people. Overall good experience.
medusasworldofstone
You'll have to wait a bit to sit down, even on a Sunday but you will be eating amazing food and experiencing great service. Calamari melts in your mouth. Seafood Gumbo was loaded and filling. Those seafood nachos were a great surprise and did not disappoint even though they aren't really nachos.. Lindsey was the server and she waited on us as if we were the only ones there even though they seemed to be to capacity.
J
Awesome BBQ shrimp and Calamari. The boiled potatoes in crab boil are fantastic.
Ms 6iXx
Love the food and service here. They never disappoint. Fresh and flavorful. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong. Everything tastes fabulous.
Kimberly Moore
The food was delicious. My husband had the catfish (enough for an army)and I had a cup of seafood gumbo and BBQ shrimp pasta. All was good! They serve complimentary new potatoes boiled in shrimp boil. If you have shellfish allergies, skip the potatoes
Ellen C
Ordered the crawfish etouffee (cup), broiled catfish, broiled shrimp, and charbroiled oysters. Portions were quite generous. I felt the catfish and shrimp were a bit too salty, so had to scrap off some of the seasoning. The fish tasted fresh however. I thought the charbroiled oysters were delicious, but other people in my party thought was too cheesy (is there such a thing?). The crawfish etouffee was the best I've had in New Orleans! Also really enjoyed the potatoes (served at all tables in lieu of bread). Service was also good. Overall a good, very filling meal.
Kendra Washington
Food and service was excellent. Best seafood I've tasted.
Jay Tooch
Solid place for basic creole. Had the half shrimp po-boy and a cup of gumbo for lunch. Nothing life changing, but certainly tasty.
When I sat down I told the bartender I had an idea what I wanted but was open to suggestions. He said “if you already know what you want I’m not going to waste my time.” Fair play sir!
Josh Wilson
A very quick walk over from the Homewood Suites in the French quarter. Had nearly no wait on a Tuesday around 6 pm. The crab meat nachos were excellent, as was the Crawfish Etouffee. The Bucktown Boil Pizza was unexpected but very good, crawfish, shrimps, crab and a garlic based sauce. All in all a great value. I assume it is customary there, the 20% tip was already added to our bill on a party of two, just a heads up.
Gabriel Hayek
Talk about an amazing experience once you get past the wait! Everyone from the manger to our server and the host excited to greet you with southern hospitality and the food to match! My God was it amazing! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was amazing! Thank you for making sure that everything was definitely 5 stars! Yall are doing amazing considering lack of staff! Just as good as it was before yall closed!! Thank you!
Sheronne Wilson
Food was AMAZING!! Those stuffed mushrooms....!! Everything was SO good and their staff was so welcoming and friendly!
Lavell Jackson
You get a lot of Bang for your buck. All portions are huge so be careful ordering lol. Definetly Enjoyed💯‼
Rachel Batiste
Every time we come to New Orleans we always come to Deanies we absolutely love the food, to me my favorite is the gumbo but there is lots on the menu to try. Enjoy H-town
John Hunt
huge portions. wonderful server. Great drinks!
Cherese Horton
The presentation alone had me, but the catfish platter was simply amazing. It was enough for three people.
A K
This place is an institution - and it completely deserves that reputation. We had to wait in line for 45 minutes but the food was totally worth it! Seeing so many locals there reassured us that the wait would be worth it. They start by giving you complimentary boiled potatoes lightly spiced served with butter - i added some pepper and this is now officially my favourite snack which I will definitely replicate at home! We got the catfish po boy which is an open face sandwich with fried fish (think KFC style), with lettuce, pickles, onions and tomatoes. It’s a HUGE sandwich so definitely bring someone to share it with. We also got the seafood combo platter which included fried shrimp and catfish with coleslaw and a couple of sauces served on a bed of French fries. The two of us had some leftovers cheers to southern hospitality ! Totally recommend.
Denise Brockway-Sonnefeldt
Amazing food and service. Table potatoes are everything. Food was like an explosion of flavors in your mouth. We will be back for sure!!!
John Foster
We had heard New Orleans is a foodie place, but Deanies didnt show up to the race. I had a appetizer of crawfish ettouffe, which had a good amount of crawfish, but the rue was light colored. No dark rue here. Then I thought I would try the crab au gratin. (Ie. Crab and cheese). I frankly thought there would be more to it. But what really made it 3 stars, is that down in the french quarter, i am served grocery-store stale french bread with my main dish. It was just bad. We had a great server which saved it from an even lower rating. The drinks were good, expensive, and frankly it was hard to tell if there was any alcohol in them.
Freeform Thoughts
Get there early.....line will form quick. Came to vacation all the way from Maryland and was not disappointed! The waitress was awesome. Can't wait to come back on vacation again!
Tara Hood
One of the locals recommended this place as one of the best seafood restaurants in the French Quarter. Judging from the line wrapped around the building we thought he may be right. Although the size of the line was intimidating it actually moved pretty fast and the people we were surrounded by were easy to chat with. Everyone is served spicy potatoes instead of the customary bread. They are good but I dont do too much spicy! The hubby loved them. We ordered seafood platters..mine with catfish, shrimp...the Hubs with catfish, shrimp and oysters. It was really good and seasoned well. I thought the catfish wasnt quite fried hard enough but thats a preference. Overall it was just ok. I would go back because the food and service were good but its certainly doesnt rank in my top 10 favorite seafood spots.
Kimberly Beasley
We were I new Orleans for a family member birthday and on Saturday we all went in to enjoy the great seafood...the food is excellent but our waitress was extremely rude and very aggressive...we asked for a manager and she refused to get him and we got him our selves...she kept talking over him and us as we explained our disgust of how she treated us...the issue is she did not say she was only gonna split the check 4 ways until we all were ready to pay....she was very disrespectful and the manager couldn't control her...until we let her know this was not what she wanted..you at work supposed to be professional...we paid and let her continue to be ignorant. Just beware of your waitress the other ladies were great...
Wanda Gray
Always great food and fantastic service. The staff was very friendly and very attentive to our needs. Wonderful place, can't wait to go back!
Kimberly Crowe
I ordered crawfish to take out since the line was so long for lunch and they were so good! The first time I ever had crawfish and we were shocked at how cheap they were for how much we got and how good they were!
Rebecca Lu
This is my new favorite po boy place! It's a sit down restaurant with a variety of seafood. I was only here for po boy though since that's what my friend recommended. We did order this barbecue shrimp which was really good. It's large full gulf shrimp with the head on in a buttery sauce with bread for dipping. I would definitely order this again. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and very flavorful.
Next, we ordered fried shrimp po boys and cat fish po boys. The po boys were chock full of crispy meat and ample veggies. Price was ok. Probably better for lunch. They have half sandwiches for a lower cost. The service was fast and waiter attentive. One thing I wasn't fan of was their potatoes they bring to every table. The potatoes were hard and did not have too much taste. Could pass on that but otherwise I had a very nice experience here.
Angie Ang
It was good... the shrimp poboy had delicious shrimp and the bread was hard as hell! I ate the shrimp out of it.
The seafood chowder and the gumbo was awesome! The ettoufe was so so... the seafood platter and the catfish and shrimp platter were good as well... the hurricane was tasty!
John N
Diner like feel, overall great restaurant to go out with family and friends for a good meal. Not too pricey and great tasting eats. Recommend getting the seafood gumbo as others have mentioned. It is distinctive and rich in flavor!
Winfred Mitchell
Always good, hot and flavorful food.
Michael Fil
This was was full when we got here. Ordered a shrimp po boy and caesar salad with fried oysters. The food was good; lots of shrimp in the po boy and the bread was soft and crust was flakey. Server was friendly, but slow.
If you don't like the idea of eating shrimp that still has the intestinal tract in (poop vein) then avoid the shrimp. Likely won't get sick from it, but doesn't look appetizing. I deveined my own.
Lee L
Everything was so good! It came highly recommended by our friend who lived in the area and it did not disappoint. My husband said the chargrilled oysters with crab meat on top were the best he‘s had (better than Dragos). Our waitress was so sweet!
Paul Roarke
I don't give many 5 star reviews and in fact I would really give this place 4.5 and that is only as it's always a wait, due to the crowds. However, the food is the best in the French QTR. There are a few places in New Orleans that have some better food, but they are much more expensive and not within walking distance of the QTR. I have been going here for many years and it's fantastic. Never had a bad meal, or drink there. A must do if you go to NOLA!
Sandra Fearon
Deanies left the worst “taste in out mouth “ for our trip to NOLA. We went there last night, our last night. We had a big group but they gave us three tables. There were no fried oysters and we were told when we sat down. We were also told they would substitute catfish on the seafood platter we ordered. It was too much catfish and barely any shrimp but that’s not the worst part. My table had two checks. The second table had three checks! The other table had a single check. ALL of us had a 20% tip added to our tab!!!! Now the waitress was ok but I didn’t appreciate a predetermined sum of $20% and what was worst (I could understand if we’re all at o e table), she got this amount from all of us, even those relatives who were paying for a single meal for themselves. I felt scammed.
Amy Green
Pretty busy place. We sat at the bar and visited with the staff. Very great people. Food was amazing. Best stuffed mushrooms I’ve ever had
Yolanda Reaves
Omg Deanies was our first stop for food and they didn't disappoint. First off the potatoes they give you instead of bread.... all I needed was sour cream. They were awesome. We ordered the redfish which was absolutely amazing. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't served over rice since it was smothered in crawfish and etouffe. Some ordered the catfish and shrimp combo..it comes with oysters, but they didn't have any. 😢...but the portions were super large and they came with the best Cole slaw all 9 of us had ever eaten...we ordered more. Deanies will be on my list for every Nawlins visit
Anna Fierek
Really great customer service. I had the shrimp po-boy. Despite the shrimp being very tasty, the sandwich was far too dry. I would go here again, but would try something else instead!
brandon wehrly
As the food was hot, and the wait not too long the quality was lacking. The fried food was crispy but no flavor. The flatbread lacked sauce, flavor, and toppings were undercooked. Might revisit for another try with different food?
Lacey Howard
On a little vacation to NOLA, we chose this restaurant for our first meal. It was delicious! We ordered artichokes, stuffed mushrooms, and peel and eat shrimp from the appetizer menu. We also ordered the crab augratin, fried shrimp, and oysters in the half shell. Our family of 6 ate for 140.00, and had so many leftovers to enjoy later!
Phae Jai
My date took me there. I was over dressed because its a very laid back atmosphere and I didnt know because we are both from out of town. I would have felt comfortable in t shirt in jeans, but overall it was cool
Anthony Brown
Deanie's Seafood in New Orleans has some of the best fresh seafood I have ever had... It's a very nice family atmosphere with a nice bar.
I make a point to eat every time I'm in New Orleans.
Josalyn Shanell Sanders
This is my FAVORITE place to eat when I visit The Big Easy!!!! Food, service and staff all deserve 5 stars. Thanks for making a Memphis, TN girl feel right at home. :)
Jason Brandt
Staff is friendly and helpful, everything here is great, char-grilled oysters are great, the BBQ shrimp is amazing. Onion rings are good also.
Kp E
Had the giant seafood platter with fried fish shrimp fishballs and soft crab. Price 70 usd. Was more than we could eat with 4 ppl. Can recommend !
Jennifer D
This was a recommendation from a friend and it was AWESOME! The place has an upscale diner feel, but with linen table cloth service. The food is SO GOOD, the service was super friendly, our waiter Jason gave great suggestions! For the amount of food the price was right.
It's a great place to come in and cool off, enjoy some really great food and regroup RIGHT around the corner from Bourbon St.
It doesn't hurt that they give you a complimentary bowl of spicy boiled potatoes when you walk in!!!
You MUST try the Barbecue Shrimp, they are peel and eat whole shrimp but SO WORTH a little effort - And the waiter brings you wet hot towels for clean up, so don't worry about how messy they are. Just enjoy!
Daniel Sills
We have been in New Orleans for almost a week and Deanie’s Seafood is the best restaurant to get seafood in the city! We had the fried seafood platter with crab, fish and shrimp. Ordered 1 pound of steamed crawfish, grilled salmon with peel ‘em shrimp. It’s amazing. The service is awesome. Aubrey was assigned to our table. I can’t say enough great things about the service: polite, friendly and attentive. He made sure we got our order right as the cook finished. I’ll give the restaurant and him 7 stars if I could. Everything is fresh from the Mississippi, believe me you won’t find a better place to eat. We’ll probably go back tomorrow and ask for Aubrey!
C Y Cooper
Enjoyed a scrumptious lunch at Deanie's Seafood Restaurant. The shrimp po-boy was delicious. My co-worker had the broiled seafood platter. Good ambiance and good service.
Candice Cartwright
Growing up on the Westbank, I tell all my friends Deanie’s is a must do when in NOLA. Be prepared to wait. It’s ok. The line goes pretty quick. Depending on where you are in the line and seating needed, it can take up to 35-40 minutes. Again, totally worth it and the staff is amazing in keeping everyone updated. Stay in line. Visit those waiting with you. Get to know a little about the city. Locals are a constant visitor at Deanie’s.
The food is fresh and reasonably priced. The appetizers are phenomenal! Try them all. The portions are HUGE. You may want to share with someone. Highly recommend the flounder. OMG! The atmosphere is so laid back and welcoming. There is no parking at Deanie’s, but you can use both Premiere Parking which is a valet service or the public parking garage. Both are on Iberville and walking distance. Premiere is right across from Deanie’s. There is also street parking with Park Mobile. Download the app. Saves you time and shows where parking is available.
Can’t rave about the food enough. Fresh, authentic and with the right wine and friends- what more could you ask for.
Also- you can order fresh seafood from Deanie’s online and they’ll ship it to you!!!!
Nicole White
I love Deanie's food gets better Everytime I drive all the way from Alabama just to eat here and a few other NOLA spots
Jaime Fisher
Absolutely amazing! Our last meal of our vacation and boy was it or most memorable.
Ivon Isaac
Very good seafood, good atmosphere and ni e service. Always an enjoyable time and meal.

This was a good meal. The fries/ cole slaw were a bit uninspired but thats not why you're here. I got oysters and the catfish/shrimp dinner. I was impressed that the cocktail sauce has horseradish in it. Was very good and flaired up my nostrils. They could use a better system for filtering people in and out. Was very confusing. But at least I grabbed a seat at the bar. The food was really good and would come again.

The free, seafood-boiled potatoes are the best item here. The oysters and crawfish were good; the shrimp poboy and onion rings were above average; the french fries are average to sub-par. Service was decent but not spectacular.
Renee May Richards
We had the fried seafood platter and it was almost all catfish.
It was fine, that's the best I can say. Nothing necessarily wrong with it, just fine.
M Fenwick
Great service. No frill. Loved it.
Andrew Hou
An overall fantastic experience. Their complimentary potatoes were incredible, and only the start to a great meal. Their oysters were perhaps the best we've had in New Orleans so far.
I had the fresh broiled mahi mahi and it was worth every penny - tender and delicious, falling apart at the fork. Top it with the lump crabmeat to complete an excellent dish.
Absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Rodrigo Galvez
Overall we had an awesome e service, provided by Mercedes, which was fun and prompt. The food was delicious and fresh. Great experience!
Kimberly Collins
Good food. Very convenient to the Hyatt Centric in the French Quarters. The Charbroiled Oysters we're amazing. Large servings even during lunch.
Whitney Price
Bust place, but they will let you grab a cocktail while you wait. Oyster bar without outrageous pricing. Free boiled potatoes were brought to the table. Full bar. Slot machines. Flounder, redfish, crab augratin, crab dressing, pecan pie, bacon wrapped shrimp, crab/shrimp dip, cheesecake, and that is just some of the top sellers. Crawfish tails and ettoufee are available, also. Ask for Mike to get great service.

You get so much food!! And it's so delicious!! If you get a chance stop by you will not regret it. We were able to share the half seafood platter!!
Shady Assassa
Seafood platter is excellent. The catfish was delicious, fried to perfection. Different than other restaurants but very good and I would definitely visit again the next time I'm in town. The picture should speak for itself (This is a half seafood platter).
Phoo Fop
The soups were good. The only thing I absolutely loved was our server Aubrey. I wanted to take him home with me.

Food is amazing! Our server was very good as well! Usually very busy but we went around 11 a.m. on a Monday & there was immediate seating available. I had the charbroiled oysters, seafood pizza & seafood dip. All were wonderful!
Elizabeth Battle
The food was really good but service was lacking. You better bring your wallet. I got 1 piece of fish&1side bill with gruity was $45. It wasn't a big piece of fish either.
Adam Abrahamson
Absolutely love this place. Went because of high reviews and it turned out perfectly. Three breading on everything fried is amazing. The complimentary potato thins they give you had some of the best seasoning ever. Also, the portion sizes are huuuuge.
Jeffrey Wolfe
Fantastic food and top-notch service! Would go again. Recommendations: Crawfish bisque, the broiled seafood platter, and ask for Renelle as your server. Come hungry becauase the five of us could only eat about 1/2 the platter!
Gwendolyn Ott
Only orders appetizers but they were delicious like the jambalaya, crawfish and oysters didnt care for my drinks too much kind of watered dwn I had the smash and the hurricane.
Sergiu Ispas
Asked a local for his favorite seafood joint and he suggested Deanie's. Waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable in helping us pick the right dish. Order the half seafood platter for two and could not finish. Great assortment of fried seafood cooked to perfection
yvette johnson
The food was great and the service was amazing. I don't remember the waitress' name but she was the lady with the pink hair, and she was amazing.
Stephanie Wood
Delicious food and excellent service--plus, there is an extensive gluten-free menu, so all of the members of our party were able to enjoy a wider than usual variety of options. If you can do gluten tho, the bbq seafood pasta is a MUST!
Oreide Ediero
Delicious seafood. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and I had the crawfish quartet. My wife ordered catfish. Personally, I thought the breading in the fish should have had more taste, but the fish itself was tasty, and moist. Our server was outstanding and very friendly. I will be back. Worth the price paid? Yes.
Brian Johnson
Words cannot express the pleasure this food brought to my tongue...WOW!! If you haven't been ...YOU MUST GO!!!..you will not be disappointed. I live on New Jersey and wish I could zap myself there every day!!!
Lisa Alexander
Great food, great location, great drinks. Chris server/bartender was outstanding! She is definitely one of the greatest assets of the restaurant.
Ryan Swope
The food was pretty good. The char grilled oysters were not #1 in New Orleans as recommended, but they were good. The food was pretty good tho
Elissa Chin
Had giant seafood platter. Portions were at expectations. Although we couldn't move the tables because we were a large party, the service was still fast and attentive and made sure we enjoyed our food. We had delicious russett potatoes steeped in crawfish water for appetizers while we waited.
Thun Der
Im from out of town, came here for lunch. This was the best place we ate at here. Great salads with awesome dressing. Had the flounder with crabmeat. So delicious. I will definitely come back here. Our server was very friendly as well.
DONYE WOODYARD
Great food 😋. Thanks to the manager who let us in 10min before closing. Our flight just landed from Las Vegas and we were starving for seafood
Kesha
The wait at this location was one hour and thirty minutes. Let me tell you, the food was worth the wait. Everything was seasoned and fresh. I'd recommend Deanies to anyone visiting New Orleans. I'll definitely return to this restaurant in the future.
Rose West
Our server Keifer was extremely friendly and attentive to our every need, which was quite impressive given the holiday of Mardi Gras. The Crab cake and Shrimp Alfredo was amazing!
April Higgs
Service was a little slow both times. The second time it was understandable as they were busy. But the service was still great when they checked on us. The food was amazing. Loved the seafood baked potato they bring to you when you get sat.
Anthony Strickland
Deanie's is one of my favorite spots. I travel to New Orleans for work, so I'm not a local, but locals pointed me to this place. Pictures is the Crawfish etouffee, which is great. I've also had the cream dressing stuffed flounder before which is amazing. Also get the barbeque prawns as an appetizer. Abita Purple Haze to wash it all down of course. I've always say at the bar and always had professional expert service. I will be back!
Lynn Ksicinski
Wonderful experience! Fantastic crawfish etouffee! Oysters yum. Bartender Brandon was entertaining! All in my party rated their food and drink as excellent. Watch out Voodoo drink (house special) sneaks up on you. Very nice atmosphere.
Chantrelle Gilmore
The food and waitress was great the staff helps one another and food was amazing our personal waitress was the bomb she gave lots of knowledge on venues n transportation prices
DJCHUCKY CHITOWNDJ
Omg!! More food on the plate that I have ever expected we had the fish plate with fries delicious very clean very friendly and it was easy to find lol
David M
First time to dine at Deanie's. Had a great experience. Food and service was outstanding. Decor was a little different than other places in the area...not in a negative sense. The half seafood platter was absolutely amazing.
Toi
The food & the server were both excellent!!!!
Terry Green
Delicious!!!!!! Waited three years to eat at Deanie's ever since I saw them on Food Network. I finally got my Barbecue Shrimp and it was definitely worth the wait. There is a dress code fellas. So don't try to go in wearing a tank top like I did. The hostess politely directed me to the Walgreens five minutes from the restaurant to get a souvenir t-shirt so I could have lunch there. Super friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely be there again. Oh!!! I also had crawfish etoufee for the first time. And DAMN! It was so beautiful. The crawfish were stuffed. What a lovely surprise! Go!!! Now!!!
Stephanie Piroli
This was our first stop after landing New Orleans, our hotel concierge recommended it to us and we're so thankful she did! We promised ourselves that we'd try a new place for every meal during our stay- but we HAD to come back to Deanie's for those addictive crab-boil potatoes! After 4 days of discovering new restaurants and foods ($-$$$), my husband's favorite meal was Deanie's blackened tuna, great bang for your buck too!
Jewel Datri
The ambience of the restaurant is very nice; you feel like you're at home! The portions are great for the price. Food was excellent. The Crawfish balls and mac n cheese were to die for. Shrimp poboys are also excellent. The cocktails are also delicious. Overall 10/10 would recommend!
Sharon Curtis
This would definitely rate as one of the best meals of our 10-day vacation. The restaurant is big and light-filled and airy and very clean. The food was flawless and the portions were huge. Our server was attentive and make sure we were well-taken care of. I would highly recommend the mountain of onion rings- probably the best I have ever had. If you are in New Orleans, you can't go wrong with Deanie's.
Wayne Townsend
We were the early lunch crowd, so not crowded, very good food, service was friendly and great. We walked from the hotel, parking difficult.
Rob Kritzer
The Half Seafood Platter is to die for, it was so good!!
Cassandra Ryder
Gumbo and stuffed shrimp were great! Recommend making a reservation as the wait times can be very long.
Chelsea J
Our server Robert was amazing. We had fried artichokes that had a small kick of spice to them, stuffed crab that was so decadent and rich, and a catfish po'boy which was delicious. High priced menu and long wait but worth it.
Ira Kole
The place was beautiful and the staff extremely nice. Very New Orleans focused menu and my friend as well as those around me were truly loving the food. For me, not so much as I don't eat shell fish so 95% of the menu was off limits. I got the house salad with grilled chicken. It was very nice. If you want to taste New Orleans this would be the place.
Tracy Coe
We sat at the bar for dinner to skip the line, and had the BEST meal and wonderful service. Big juicy shrimp, fresh & generously topped salads, one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. Oh- and don't miss the grilled oysters! Even with all the other wonderful places to eat in New Orleans, we had to fight ourselves not to go back the next day. It was THAT good!
Jared Benson
Three words to describe the food: Huge, Delicious, hearty
Three words to describe the place: Up-scale, Diner, Lounge
Three words to describe Ronnie our server: Charming, competent, chill.
Loved my visit to Deanies. I had a cup of Gumbo (below) and the fried shrimp poboy and lemme tell you, I can eat. But I had to get a box for the thing it was massive. Also, ask for extra mayo, it was a little dry with how much bread is involved. Would also suggest putting tartar sauce on it! It was all good!
Andrea Bradley
This place is amazing. Their fried seafood is soo good and the service is lovely. My waiter was Aubrey and he was the best. He recommended wonderful food and welcomed me to the city.
Dan Munzner
Amazing food. Great variety. Next time, the crab dip.
Marissa Davis
I had the pleasure of dining at Deanie's recently. Although the restaurant was full, the service we received was excellent. The hostess, Stacy, was friendly and ensured guests were seated in an orderly fashion. The waitress Amanda was excellent, provided stellar recommendations and top tier service. I plan to return in the next few days and will recommend to others.
Kay Burgess
The food was delicious . Atmosphere was nice. They gave you complimentary potatoes which are pretty spicy.
Sasha Sandi LaRue
I finally made it after watching all the pics on Instagram for almost 3 years. It was everything I thought it would be. The staff was very friendly. We went on a Friday afternoon and was able to be seated immediately. The food was DELICIOUS!! They give you these little cajan style potatoes as an appetizer 😍.
We ordered the Seafood Platter and it was more than enough for 2pp. I highly recommend going here while you visit New Orleans. Don't forget to get the Red Beans & Rice😍
Barbara Wilson
Delicious seafood!!! The bacon wrapped shrimp was literally to DIE for!!! Excellent service!!! Thank you, gentlemen!!! 💜 …
Geilisa (HTK)
Had the half size seafood platter and the crab nachos. Love it all. Great service too. Got our party of 6 on a Sunday evening in relatively quick.
Dan Henry
Our waitress was phenomenal. Stuffed mushrooms were amazing!
Henri Schol
The half seafood platter was sufficient for 3 Europeans. We added the sallad for vegetables 😀. Service was great.
Christian Groux
This was my first time at Deanie's in the French Quarters. Food was prepared perfectly and was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Deanie's Seafood Restaurant!
Miriam DeLeon
I wish I would have taken pictures of my food. I got so excited by it I just jumped. I ordered the combo platter. It was the best fried seafood I've had here in NOLA. The portion here are outrageous. Two people could have eaten from it.
They start you off with potatoes. The service was just as good as the food.
Ann Magee Mulroy
Very popular very good food. Quite a crowd it was beyond half an hour to get a table. That's how popular it is.
Andrina Stewart
The food here was great! We went on a Saturday morning at 11:40 and were seated within 10 minutes. Our server was prompt and kept checking in on us as we couldn't decide what we wanted! The crawfish were delicious, but personally I feel like they could be spicier. We also tried crawfish 4 ways which I would definitely recommend. My friend loved the bloody Mary and the mimosas we're generous on the champagne. I would recommend getting there early, as when we left around 12:45 there was a 3 hour wait.
Nitcher Small
One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Our waitress, Sophia was very patient and informative.
Rob McGarry
Nice atmosphere in this place. I sat at the bar and ordered bbq shrimp for start and shrimp po boy for my main. The bbq shrimp is a must try very messy but also very tasty. The shrimp po boy was massive and good. I pretty much rolled out of this place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definatly go back 🍤👍. …
Tia Boykins (Creativ1)
The food is delicious and the portions are enormous. Colby is a great server...very personable.
William McDougle
Great food, really listened to my wife's allergy issues, and Amanda was very friendly.
Anna Aguirre
This place was recommend to us by a couple of ppl. I honestly thought food was ok. Price was decent. The hotel restaurant had
Better food Marriott hotel
Robert Casey
I have a new favorite in New Orleans. Delicious food and reasonable prices in a nice location. Generous portions. You can have a reasonably priced meal or go bigger and fancier if you want to spend more. They had large platters if you that much food. Staff was friendly. Location was clean. It felt upscale without having to spend a fortune. I highly recommend the coconut bread pudding. It was a unique take on a New Orleans tradition. I will definitely be back when I visit New Orleans again.
Cristina Deiac
Awesome food and great service! Very convenient location if you are in French Quarter.
Katie Kiefer Tillery
The waitress barely spoke to us and took 20 minutes to greet us. Then took our entire order at once. The apps and food came out at the same time. Because I have to be gluten free, I asked for the homemade chips with the crab dip that was listed on the GF menu. The waitress brought the dip with cucumbers. When I said I asked for chips, she said they were out of the chips. She basically made the decision for me without asking what I wanted. The food was mediocre at best.
Mona Ingram
Dinner was good! Crawfish quartet (even though it is out of season so probably frozen) gave a good sampling of different way to prepare crawfish. Both grilled and blackened red fish and grouper was nicely done with wonderful sauce. The complimentary small red potatoes were tasty by itself. The only disappointment was the dozen oysters on half shell though big were kind of bland. The ones at Felix were way better. Overall still a reasonable dining experience.
SMH H
The only reason I'm giving four stars is the limited selection of domestic beers, my favorite was not available. The atmosphere was fun, and the service was impeccable. Our waiter took care of us from start to finish. But just a heads a heads up before you head there, its not cheap and they add a 20 percent gratuity to the bill. Just wanted to keep you from the sticker shock.
Micshell Harris
The calamari and stuffed shrimp were both Amazing, even the marina sauce and coleslaw were good!
ToShiba Howard
Yesterday was my birthday and it was my first time eating at Deanies Seafood in the French Quarters. I truly enjoyed our waitress ,she was excellent in every aspect. I really enjoyed the Barbque shrimp and the boiled potatoes that was bought to the table. I would definitely return to this establishment to try something different.
James Dowd
Really good oysters on the half shell and giant spicy shrimp. They also give you spicy potatoes instead of bread. A tasty and different starter for a good meal.
Vivien
We ordered the crawfish quartet which includes crawfish étouffée, crawfish bisque, fried crawfish tails and crawfish balls. The food is ok, not worth to wait and certainly not a must-try restaurant.
Randy Bergeron
The food was fantastic. I had the fried catfish dinner which was some of the best I've had along with their BBQ shrimp. Only giving 4 out of 5 stars because the portions are way off. The fried catfish dinner can feed 2 or 3 people and I eat quite a bit. I know you can take it out but why not make the portions normal and charge a little less?? Must have been the equivalent of 5-6 catfish filets on my plate.
Cherry Jolie
My first time visiting New Orleans and the first po boy I ever had was here. It was amazing! The shrimp was cooked perfectly.
Joe Sienkiewicz
The Crawfish Quartet (crawfish etoufee, crawfish bisque, fried crawfish and crawfish balls) was one of the best dishes I've ever had.
Special mention to the Crawfish balls, which where like crispy crab cakes but with a molten, delicious center. Girlfriend loved the blackened red fish she got as well.
Was on the pricier end of the spectrum but that's to be expected at a place that specializes in seafood.
Make sure you don't fill up on the boiled potatoes they serve complimentary with your meal, but they're so good it's hard not to!
Geoffrey Si
Delicious fried seafood and chargrilled oysters. Highly recommended by friends and tour guides from NOLA and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and knowledgeably. FYI, they will not have crawfish boil if crawfish are not in season!
