Reviews of Cornet
Bailey Alexander
We came across this place while walking Bourbon street when the host saw us an asked if we would like to get a bite to eat and sit on the balcony with a view of Bourbon Street! We was so glad we chose to come here. The views from the balcony were amazing and the food was delicious! They had so many drink options and each one we tried was delicious and unique! It was a super fun environment and every worker was friendly and upbeat. I highly recommend here! Make sure to sit on the balcony for the best experience!

We stopped here after the jambalaya was recommended to us. It was later in the evening, probably 9. We had a nice time here. It was fun to have balcony seating with dinner. My jambalaya was seasoned and tasted like it would have been great when fresh, unfortunately, it wasn't.The waitress said it had been made earlier in the day. My friend said her dinner was fantastic and fresh. She had crayfish mac n cheese. Waitress was kind & prompt.

We came here twice on our visit because we loved it so much. The food is delicious & definitely one of the best menus & prices on Bourbon Street. I didn't bet pictures of everything we ate because I was so hungry I devoured everything but the Buffalo sandwich is also definitely recommended. I had a blueberry infused drink which was also delicious. The staff here was absolutely lovely & very kind. Both bartenders we dined with were sweethearts & very kind along with our servers. Wayne was outside handing out menus & seated us & checked in on us as we ate. He's one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! He talked with us for awhile and and gave great recommendations. The atmosphere overall was nice and warm & a nice break away from the craziness of Bourbon Street while still allowing you to see all that's happening outside. Their bathroom was also the cleanest I used in the quarter. Will definitely be returning on our next trip!

We settle on the cornet after wondering the French quarter for a while. This restaurant had been recommended via a blog and I’m not quite sure if I would agree with their sentiments. The food is OK but I was looking for a good étouffée and it really didn’t live up to what I wanted. It was quite soupy and not as thick as you would think that something would be with a good roux. Well here we were sat on the balcony around 1 PM and there weren’t that many people there and that should’ve been our first hint that maybe the food wasn’t that amazing compared to other places. It’s OK and it’s reasonably priced but for two people at $72 we wish it would’ve been higher quality overall. The meal was generally quite small. We did have the étouffée, gumbo, end fried alligator which was just okay. Overall everything was a little bit too salty for liking and again didn’t really live up to that like southern cooking you were expecting. The service was not bad but a bit sparse for how slow it was.
If you want to be able to sit on a balcony on Bourbon Street to watch people this is great but if you’re really not interested I would skip it.

Great location. Outside seating on the balcony. Great spot to watch all the action on the streets. Our waiter was very fun and upbeat. Delivered our food and drinks in a timely fashion. I'm going to be blatantly honest though. This was my first food stop in New Orleans. I got the jambalaya because I've been jonsin for some creole. This jambalaya was sad. Colorless. Warm, almost cold and barely any chicken and sausage. I normally only give 5 stars out to places but the food I got here was not impressive.
Hubert Schwarthoff
Great place to watch the hustle.
Right in the middle of the Bourbon Street chaos, the balcony of the Cornet let's you observe the snake people (literally!) and everybody else from above and enjoy a good Cajun meal at the same time.
Excellent friendly staff, great cocktails, food Cajun yet much less fatty than what we found elsewhere.
Alice Keeler
LOVED IT!! Even my picky kids were able to find things they loved. The alligator is a definite. Tastes like chicken but the breading is great and just fun to order. We got samplers of different things, it was all great!
Carrie Brown
We were introduced to Cornet's via Tish from Taste bud Tours. We sampled the jambalaya and it is authentic and delicious!!! It has all the right flavors of true jambalaya. We also tried their blueberry hill drink and it is definitely worth trying!! The food was so good that we returned for lunch. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and my husband had the catfish po boy. Both were absolutely delicious!! The buffalo sauce was light and full of flavor and not overpowering as some are. The catfish was out of this world!! I typically hate fish but enjoyed the po boy immensely! The breading is very light, the fish super tender, and the flavors really come through. The catfish did not have a fishy flavor either. We were both very pleased with the meal and would return again! Try dining upstairs and you get a good view too!!

This place was amazing. We at on the balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. The food was top notch. Burger was made fresh and cooked to perfection. I was able to add bacon even tho it wasn't on the menu. The sampler app was also perfect. Gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice all VERY flavorful and in the right ratio. We didn't realize it at the time but this was the best place we ate in New Orleans. Ever other place we ate did not live up to this and we kept comparing others to here. Definitely worth a stop next time you are on Bourbon Street.
Dawn Christon
Service was odd. The restaurant wasn’t too busy but the staff seemed very confused and took a long time for us to get seated. Once seated and we ordered our food, the food arrived so quickly that the apps and mains arrived at the same time and was hard to eat everything without something getting cold. The food was also quite salty on all dishes.
Jeffrey Simmons
We really enjoyed the location being able to sit on the balcony and people watch while having supper. The food was just okay. The portion seemed small for the price and quality. The beer was cold. The balcony has a pretty good lean to it. Hope it holds up for many more years.
Collette Arnold
First meal in NOLA. Great location on the balcony. The drinks were weak. The gator bites weren’t really hot and tasted like they were double cooked. My shrimp po boy was ok. My boyfriends jambalaya looked like overcooked rice and didn’t really taste like it. Great location and wait staff but the kitchen and bar need to work on it.
Rick Farrar
Great people watching, tasty drinks, and good food! Sat on the balcony while we ate lunch and watched a parade go by.
Staff was friendly and attentive
Food prices normal for a restaurant on bourbon street.
Natalie Twyman
Busy restaurant and bar that makes sure you’re well taken care of. Super friendly service, not pushy with drinks but making sure you’re not empty..if you don’t want to be. Red beans and rice was one of the best I’ve had. Unlike other spots they actually include bits of sausage in the dish, not just one link on the side. If you can, grab a table upstairs. The view is great!
Seth Blanck
We ordered drinks and a quick appetizer. Service was very fast and friendly. We sat in the upstairs balcony. The jambalaya, red beans & rice, and gumbo was a nice start to our New Orleans vacation. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Walt Domingo
Had to give this place props. Not just for the location being smack in the middle of Burbon st...but to let everyone know, come to this place and eat thier Jambalaya! On our four day trip, we ate Jambalaya every day! On the first day tried three different restaurants that served Jambalaya....out of the six restaurants that we eaten Jambalaya during our trip....Cornet had the best Jambalaya. Hands. Down.
Tiffany Cartier
Seriously the bees knees! I come here every time I’m in town and consistently the food and vibe are amazing! Large portions — highly recommend the red beans and rice with sausage or the trio sampler (red beans, gumbo and jambalaya) if you want a little bit of everything.
I suggest getting a seat upstairs on the balcony also as it’s definitely a great area to people watch on the busy corner across from the Cat’s Meow.
Maribel Velez
This place has a great location in the middle of all the fun and lively action of New Orleans. We sat on the balcony so we definitely had a great view of all the people walking down Bourbon street. The food was ok. I ordered shrimp creole and it tasted good but I wish the portion was a little bigger. My son’s food was bland. In my opinion the prices are way to high for the quality of the food but overall we had a good experience here.
KevDogg C
Tried their jambalaya on a food tour. It was good. Nice atmosphere with a traditional 2nd story deck to sip a few drinks off of.
Cameo McNeley
Great seating and location. We stopped by on our travels down Bourbon St. The food was excellent. But the portion size was too small for the prices. Elliot was very kind and attended us efficiently. Overall a decent place. Probably won't go back though.
Carla
We lucked up on this place. It was the first spot we came across upon walking around. The restaurant we were looking for was closed, and I was starving - we walked in and was taken care of immediately. I highly recommend this place just from the rich history it contains. We had the fried alligator. Highly recommend! We also ordered the shrimp po' boy and the Cajun platter. They were okay. I will say the best thing about the visit - the history lesson, the appetizers and the wonderful service. The overall meal was good, although after the end of the trip I remembered those alligator bites. Oh and the fresh potato chips! I was dipping them in the remoulade sauce. That sauce was GOOD.
David Greaves
Great view from outside on the gallery. Not a big menu though. It was a slow night, not many there. They were polite and nice but there was no personality or what I would expect "southern hospitality". There really was no character. Here's your menus what do you want to drink what do you want to eat blah blah blah. I feel like I might have got more out of a host or server at IHOP. Then there's the food I was trying to stay more traditional because I'm not a big Southern food lover but I love seafood. So I ordered the shrimp alfredo thinking that would be good. The shrimp was good but the Alfredo sauce was not alfredo sauce it was awful. Again my limited palette may have been the issue but when I told them all they said was sorry, not can I get you something else not can I help cover the cost of your meal... nothing. The manager didn't come over to talk to me it was just okay here's your bill and I paid $21 for that. I get it I got a meal I got to pay for it which I did without argument but maybe a little more courtesy around the fact that I didn't enjoy your meal would have been a good thing. At least act like you care. I would not go back to Cornet. I will say that my wife loved the jambalaya. The picture shows my shrimp alfredo and the picture looks fine but it wasn't alfredo sauce.
Melody Glasgow
Perfectly cooked Cajun fare! Great balcony views, awesome street music. Friendly staff. A great experience all together.
Rachel C
Nice place to hang out. My bartender was very nice, I will say, Food was not the best I had in NOLA. Dessert was too dry and not sweet. Food had not much flavor to it. A little too pricey for the food taste and quality.
Anna Crites (Out of Body Massage)
We got to sit on the balcony overlooking Bourbon Street and enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks. The crab cakes and crawfish étouffée were delicious!
Sarah Bowman
Great food, amazing service, balcony has great view of Bourbon Street. The hurricane was really good as well.
Rachel Stephens
I'd say that this is a solid 3.5 stars. After the Chewbacchus Mardi Gras parade on 2/5/2022, I was surprised to see most businesses closed at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night.
My husband and I were starving after standing in the cold for hours for the parade and Cornet was one place that was still opened. A guy who looked a lot like Matthew McConaughey in a suit seated us right away. I'm guessing he was the manager?
Anyway, nothing is labeled gluten free so I asked our waiter if the red beans and rice ($16) was gluten free. He had to check with the kitchen and they said it was. If you're running a business in a major tourist district, please label what is and isn't gluten free to save everyone time!
Anyway, the red beans and rice were so good but the bowl is actually pretty shallow so I would have liked a larger portion for the price. Beans and rice are pretty cheap food so please load me up. My husband also got the red beans and rice and said he was still hungry afterwards. Tasted good, but too small of a portion.
Other than that, service was good and the food was very tasty!
Sally Tilley
We ordered the Cajun Platter and the Chicken Special. They were both ok. The chicken didn't have a lot of flavor but it was super crispy. The mashed potatoes were cold so I didn't eat them. The corn bread was good. My husband had the platter. He enjoyed it. The balcony view was gorgeous and we had no wait for a table.
Adam R. (Seriustruth)
Awesome atmosphere, great waitstaff. The food was tasty, well seasoned, however fell a bit short on variety. The bread was stale, not what I've come to expect from bread rising in such a humid environment. All in all, the meal was tasty.
Joe Lehman
View was nice on the balcony, food was mediocre at best.
We started with the Jubilee Shrimp, it took a long time and came out ice cold. We told them and they didn’t offer to remake it, just took it away and took it off the bill, thankfully.
I had the crawfish Etoufee, which was sadly nothing like real New Orleans crawfish Etoufee. It tasted like crawfish Etoufee in any basic restaurant outside of New Orleans, which means it didn’t taste authentic. It wasn’t terrible, just boring.
My girlfriend had the Shrimp Po Boy which tasted good.
The waiter was nice and friendly and the view was nice. We wouldn’t go back though.

Just got into New Orleans and the main thing I was looking for was a restaurant with an outside dining area....I spent an hour trying to find one around bourbon st and I finally saw this place with it's second floor classic style balcony .... The only place in New Orleans that I could find with outdoor seating for diners supposedly ... Anyways the experience was five stars .... Service was quick, food was great, and I loved the historical second floor balcony that really hit it home for me, great spot to people watch, chill, and eat a great meal. I ordered the shrimp, burger, and large beer in a woman's torso glass ... Everything was A+++ and Delicious. My only complaint was that the meal was pretty pricey but it is to be expected in the French Quarter.....5 stars
Raven Baker
Food was flavorful but was not hot when brought out. We sat at our table for almost 20 minutes before having to find a server. Not sure if I will be returning.
Cheese Lewease
Got the crab cakes appetizer thinking was just going to get a single cake but got two large cakes with green tomatoes; the sauce was so good. I can't wait to come back and have more! Wish I could go out there weekly and satisfy my palate. Been 2 months and I want more! Delicious
Blind See
The Cornet Cajun PLATTERRRRR is very very nice!!!! Yep it made my taste buds delighted!!! The bartender Alexa was great also!!!!!!!
Ana Polacek
Sat on the 2nd floor balcony - very fun location to watch Bourbon Street craziness. Good service, good drinks & food. Had the Mac cheese & crawdads - more like some other pasta, but very good.
Stephanie Smith
Excellent food. Get there early if you want to get a dinner table overlooking Burboun St.
Kimberly Awesome
We stopped in for a rest break, a few beers, a nice view of Bourbon from the balcony & crab cakes with fried green tomatoes. The roumalade here is super salty. Alligator bites were a bit tough. The crab cakes were fabulous. This was a mid-afternoon visit, and although the beers were ice cold, the view from the balcony was wonderful & the music coming from Bourbon was entertaining, our server made us feel rushed. There was plenty of seating available for other guests. I guess she was hoping to turn over her tables a bit quicker. We received our check without any suggestion of another round of beers or dessert. Will plan to enjoy the balcony again.
Cynthia Cacciola
Great place to eat, the resturant was on the second floor, while the bar on the first. One of the restaurants that is great for the whole family, which can be slightly hard to fun in the French Quarter. The shrimp Po'boy was delicious with the potato flake chips. The peach cobbler that I can given from my sister was a nice, added treat. The one thing that everyone in my party was concerned about, bottles of mayo were left on the tables, no one used them.
Lasheika Grayson (Divine Empress)
My husband had the Catfish, jambalaya, red beans and rice platter and he said it was just ok. I had the shrimp etouffee. It was good. I wouldn’t get it again tho. We also had fried gator for the first time and they were amazing. We sat on the balcony and it was a nice night. Jeanine was our server and she was wonderful.
Saint Dávila
Try the alligator and the red beans and rice. Really good food
Andreas Aristidou
Better than expected! The waitress was very friendly and fun and we were seated in the upstairs balcony with great views of the masses walking by downstairs. The shrimp pooboy was really really good!
Judy Mares
We had the best food and service upstairs for dinner. I had the Fried Redfish and my husband had the Shrimp Creole, and both were delicious. It was really cold outside and the fans on made it a little too cool inside.
Barbara Pogue
It was so funny that every night we walked around in the French quarter looking for a nice spot to sit & relax, we accidently picked The Cornet every time based on location & curb appeal. By the end of our trip, we were looking out for them. Love the location & vibe of the location. Very nice & laid back for a NOLA bar!
Hannah Borden
Loved this place! The balcony dining overlooking Bourbon St. was absolutely lovely. Our server was so sweet and super knowledgeable about the area and their menu.
We tried the fried Red fish with garlic mashed potatoes and a crawfish sauce. The fried alligator appetizer was also delicious. Not pictured is the HUGE 4 piece chicken meal. It’s so good! Come with choice of two sides, cornbread and a lil’ bit of peach cobbler. The drinks we tried were tasty, but not very strong for the price paid.
Stacia Sparrow
The atmosphere at this restaurant was fabulous, we sat on the gallery which was a beautiful view. Elliot was our waiter and provided fast and friendly service, he was also able to make some great recommendations on food. We had the fried alligator, jambalaya, and the blackened red fish. Our favorite was the blackened red fish, my husband said it was his favorite dish that he has had since coming to New Orleans.
Heather Terrill
I had several Bloody Mary's at various locations in the week I was in New Orleans and I liked this one the best! Food was delicious and staff was friendly! They even put the Little League World Series on for us!
Michael Siska
Awesome bar, great wait staff and each time we went there we were seated at our same table by the owner.
Drinks were awesome, food is great!!
Thank you for an awesome time. We will be back.
jailen M
Very quick quality food. Crab cake was great.
Mike Bowman
Had an awesome lunch, great views, balcony people watching was fantastic!
Ashley Parrott
We were very impressed with the bloody Mary and blueberry infused drinks. The hurricane wasn't too bad but the other two were better in our opinion. We also had the shrimp jubilee which was delish!! Great experience. If we were from the area I'm pretty sure it would become a regular for us!
Stephanie Davis
They were shooting a series Your Honor. So cool to see everything going on.
Brian Freeman
Delicious alligator! Great service! Quick service. Even my 2 kids LOVED it!
Mickey D
Averged mediocre quick place to have lunch. Wasnt bad but wasn't great.
Had the crayfish etoufee ... its ok to good ... tasted fine but didn't wow me. Etoufee was one note very simple without developed flavors in my opinion
Cathy Heylbroeck
Pleasant service. Gumbo soup was amazing. Spicy and nicely balanced. Also had shrimp jubilee, highly recommended. Crispy and covered with spicy mayo sauce.
Trey White
I had the combo platter. It came with jambalaya gumbo catfish and sausage. It was delicious. I was very surprised at how good it was. Only 20 bucks. Definitely recommend this place service was excellent and quick and they had a local beer on tap that was wonderful. Definitely give it a shot.
Diamond Hood
Great food service was good! Drinks were not as quality seeing as i had three my cousin had five and had no spirit at all. Other than that its a hot spot. Due to covid alot of places are not open but this place is and have a lot of space to social distance
Jennifer Depew
Divine! The Crabcakes with fried green tomatoes was Amazing. The Bloody Mary was pretty on point as well. Great service.
Andrew S
Stopped here for lunch after we checked into our hotel in NOLA. I ordered a Sazerac which was on point and delicious. For lunch, I ordered the jambalaya and my wife got the seafood gumbo. Both were delicious and really hit the spot.
The bartenders were friendly and attentive while we were there. Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back the next time we are in NOLA.
Mark Mealey
Great location. Sat outside on the deck. Smaller portions than what we were hoping for but it was good
Sara Bennet
Barbie was a amazing bar tender and was always making sure we had what we needed . She works very hard and deserves all the love
T Cato
The Red Beans and Rice here was the BEST I've had in a long time; spices perfectly blended, great sausage and the fried catfish was on point!
Katie Mihalopolos
Tornado warning...staff running g with food under tarps to the back half. Freak attitudes. Huge portions. Unique amazing fare.
Raj Nassar
Food was awesome I had the redfish my friend had a combo plate I will eat there again before I leave
Stephanie Smith
Nice place to have dinner. Get there early to get a spot on the balcony overlooking Burbon St. Great food! I had the shrimp fettuccini which was delish!
Addison Tazelaar
Amazing food and the service and staff was just what my friends and I needed! Definitely a must visit !
Morgan DiBacco
Good stop for late night food, honestly I wasn’t that impressed - feel like there were better options.
Bollens
The promoter brought us in off the street, glad he did! GF beans & rice, shrimp po-boy & caesar salad all really good! Cute wrap around balcony.
Sepid Kh
Amazing place, beautiful balcony and great view Of bourbon street. Great food and drinks.
Jordan Ashley
Went here with my parents while they were here for a short visit. Great view from the balcony, you can watch all the fun and enjoy a late dinner. Great service! Super happy we stopped there. Great vibes
Robert Winter
Selection of draft beer was limited, but the food is good and more sophisticated than you might expect. Service was excellent and our mixed drinks were well enjoyed. Great balcony view for people watchers.
Gregory Stubbs
Food was overall bland and drinks were okay. Plenty of seating near the windows or upstairs balcony though.
Pri R
Ask for big a$$ beer and must have bloody Mary nola style. Food is great and the balcony seating is just perfect for some fun time.
Roniqua Jeffries
Cornet is right on bourbon street and offers balcony seating. I loved sitting outside and being able to people watch. I had the boudin balls and catfish po boy. The boudin balls were amazing. The catfish was meh. It was fried soft and I like a little more crunch. I also had a watermelon drink which was good. I would go again.
Jennifer Williams
There aren't words to accurately describe how good the food is here. The staff and atmosphere was very pleasant. Highly recommend it!
Pamela Charboneau
This was a lovely little place on Bourbon Street. We ate on the balcony and were able to watch the tourists and locals pass by on a balmy Summer day. My grandson ate a Cornet Burger and I had the Lemon Chicken Pasta. I enjoyed a Tequila Soda Lime with my meal and we watched the sun set over the edge of the rooftops. Be prepared for slow service, but the food is good and the atmosphere is nice.
R. O.
Great service at the bar from a female bartender yesterday. So good in fact we came back later for more food on the balcony. They treat you very well here. The picture is the flambeauex fries and they were excellent.
Ricardo Jenks
Right on Bourbon Street with a nice view from their balcony of the street activity.
Good food.
Their Jambalaya was pretty good, and I washed it down with a cool and refreshing New Orleans signature drink, the Hurricane. I think they gave me a Cat. 5!
Sreenivas Pondicherry
Lovely atmosphere, great staff. The lady even showed me how to shell them before eating.
Laurie Pierre
Must try the Hurricane. The staff is friendly and for a first time venture through the French quarter for lunch it's ok. I wasn't impressed with my dish but my friend got fried shrimp and catfish. It was really good
Christian Mai
Great appetizers, amazing bbq shrimps and super service! Awesome with the pario upstairs and a great view over Bourbon Street.
Thomas P
3 kind of music in the air. Good overlock at the crowd.
Jennifer Enloe
After being in the French Quarter for 3 days, I thought slow service and lack of getting drinks refilled etc was a normal part of things. WRONG. We stumbled upon this place and HANDS DOWN, the best service we have had thus far. Our server was Sharice and the manager even walked around to make sure we were happy. Drinks refilled before they were gone, QUICK service and GOOD food!!! This place is a must!!
Kyla Morris
Mac and cheese was good. We sat on the balcony and saw a parade. The views were amazing and our drinks were good and strong.
Alicia Deighton
A great place to try local food. Would give a 5 however there is a huge use of plastic here. Understandably not servers fault but just a thought! Thankyou for a great meal
Kelsey Rogers
So happy to have stumbled upon this place while visiting the area. It was down-pouring all day and as we were trying to find a good place to eat and get out of the rain, we ran into this very kind gentleman who ushered us in, and was very welcoming. The hurricanes were amazing along with the food. The service was exceptional and it wasn’t busy at all so no wait time which was great.
Lizzy M
Delicious food and exceptional service, Holly was our waitress and she was amazing. She answered all our questions about the menu and helped us with all our needs (even looking for an outlet that work to charge the phone). The food came out very fast and everything was so fresh. Very good experience.
Danielle Ivey
Good spot for a quick lunch on Sunday afternoon. It was not busy and we were seated immediately. The food was really good. Though I ordered gumbo, I tried some of my sisters Redfish and it was amazing. Not overly pricey. Tips are added to parties of 6 or more.
Wendie Hardaker
A terrific place to sit on the balcony & watch the party on the street. Good food & service. A busy place. Go early if you want to be on the balcony.
TheHomieChris
5 stars for the flash fried red fish over the garlic potatoes. My friend got the lemon pasta but wasn’t blown away by it.
Dede Brunner
We really enjoyed the authentic quizine and people watching on the balcony! You will not be disappointed! Fast and friendly!
Jessbcreative
Love the balcony seating. Our waitress was nice and service was perfect. Food was delicious.
Kathryn Fisher
Our waiter was an amazing person and made our visit literally out of this world. The food was good too.
Connie Ferzely
Excellent food and service! Best catfish ive ever had!
Melissa R
Lovely restaurant. Excellent food and service. Beautiful views from the balcony. A must try!
Chris Crawford
Food was nice, beers were extremely large although they may need to review the pricing of the 45 ounce beer as it works out cheaper per ounce buying the 32 ounce option. The pricing was quite affordable and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the restaurant
Heather Manning
Our meal at Cornet was a lovely, relaxing and delicious experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our food was arrived quickly and was tasty and hot! We were seated on the balcony, as it was a sunny and warm afternoon. They even brought our dogs their own large plastic cups of ice water. It was a laid back atmosphere and an enjoyable experience! Our meal at Cornet will be one of my fondest memories of New Orleans!
Cheryl Spires
Wasn't crazy about this place. Food was below average and service was extremely slow. Women's restrooms had saloon-style doors on the very cramped stalls. Nice second-floor outdoor seating overlooking Bourbon St.
R Edwards
So good! Definitely glad it was the first thing we taste from NOLA!
Richard Ferko
Stopped in while wandering Bourbon St. with my wife. Had a great time at the bar, met a another couple who knew much more about NOLA than we did, and the bartender (I'm sorry I forgot her name) was great. She was extremely helpful even though she was the only one holding down the bar at the time. Food was out quickly and correctly, and drinks kept coming. The fried alligator was a good start, and the pastalaya and shrimp creole we had were great. Fun place to watch the stream of folks on Bourbon St. and get good beer/drinks and some good food.
Marie Champion-Sonnier
We hit this place each time we get to NOLA for the best crawfish Mac n' cheese! The serving staff is always friendly and it's a great people-watching vantage point, even mid-day.
We like to sit on the upstairs balcony, with our meal and throw beads to kids as they walk by so they can enjoy NOLA too!
Glen Farrell
Very tasty food. Great customer service as well. The view from the balcony is nice as you can experience the sights and sounds of the city.
Kristina Andersen
ASK FOR TEENYA!!! She is a FANTASTIC server and will definitely get you set up with a great meal. I saw flyers for this place when I arrived to the city and got a few recommendations to come here. I'm so glad I did! Great prices, great food, great drinks. I'll be back for certain!
Sarah Bull
Cornet is very much open! They were closing at 11pm when we went this weekend. We were served both times by Taylor, who is a great bartender! Will be going back when in town again 😁 we got triple and quadruple shot hurricanes - absolutely delicious! …
Jeff oberdank
First trip to New Orleans. Great way to start the experience! Friendly staff, good food and location.
Sabi singh
Food sucks, however location is great for few drinks and enjoy the view over bourbon street
Joe Chlebanowski
Our server was nice and the location and seating with the view of Bourbon Street was cool. But to be honest the food was mediocre at best. The crab cakes were dense and gooey (which they should not be), and the alligator bites were more like alligator bits... I guess the front of house manager (or someone) standing in the middle of the street hawking customers in to eat should have been a warning sign.
Melissa Strohminger
Our dinner at Cornet-was great! It’s a charming atmosphere with a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. Interior is rustic and beautiful. We ordered the red fish, crawfish Mac and cheese, shrimp poboy and shrimp Alfredo. Everything was very good! Especially the delicious redfish, recommended by our fabulous server, Jared. It was crispy, perfectly seasoned, with an amazing sauce. The food was reasonably priced, and not huge portions. We asked for bread but they said they ran out.
david weir
In my humble opinion, was the best food I had while in New Orleans. The guy on the street bringing people in was definitely memorable (in a good way)!
Polina Antipova
Had a late night dinner here - nothing special in terms of the food but service was good.
Mark Stever
Had the Alligator Sausage with Catfish, presentation was awful. Jubilee Shrimp was awesome
Kimberly Lutz
Love this place! Delicious food,Food, severe & location with outdoor seating on the balcony overlooking the nightlife on Bourbon Street
Scott Greymont
Great restaurant on burbon street. Food was reasonably priced and service was excellent. Eat up on the balcony and watch the parade of bourbon street go by.
Gregory Morris
Came here on Labor Day weekend around noon. Good place to watch the games on Saturday. Wasn't too busy, nice second floor. Cool "Infusion" drinks. Didn't have any food but enjoyed having a easy nicer place to watch the games and drink.
Kinzetta Harris
This was my 2nd time at the cornet. Will definitely be back. Got the red beans and rice and a blueberry cocktail. I don't remember what's it called, but it is GOOD. Best red beans and rice on bourbon Street. Be sure to sit on the balcony for some good views of Bourbon. This place is a vibe. There was a little bit of a wait but I didn't mind. Our waiter was a nice and informative. Owner if you see this review, please bring the cornbread back, not the microwave mess, the real cornet cornbread.
Sincerely,
A cornbread fed Nebraska Girl
Scott McCrickard
Great location, friendly and attentive wait staff, and a solid collection of Cajun and Creole dishes. They had a blueberry-infused drink special the day we went that was just what we needed on a hot day. Some of the entrees that our party got were a little light on flavor, though the server brought out some sauce to spice things up a bit. Not one of the places with lines around the corner but still a solid choice.
Jimmy “Tropicana” Tropicana
Great food! Beautiful staff. Enjoyed an oyster po boy. Stopped in because my great grandfathers last name was Cornet 🤔🤔🤔🤔😅🤓 …
Wendy Hiller
Right in the middle of Bourbon St! I've been to Nola several times but this was my sister's first time so we had to eat and drink on Bourbon Street. The food was good. I got the red fish and she got a shrimp poboy. And beer, of course. The atmosphere was fun. Lots of info about Louis Armstrong on the walls.
EE
We ate here twice and we loved it. We had the jubilee shrimp and the crab cakes. The second time I had the red beans and rice with sausage and I didn’t care for much it but my husbands Buffalo chicken sandwich was really good. Oh, and their hurricane drink it’s amazing you can actually taste the passion fruit in it.
Kent Roethemeier
Stopped here on a food tour. Staff was polite and helpful. Jambalaya was delicious. Wish we had more time in NOLA to stop for a full experince.
Symonoxide 7
This is what we come to NOLA for. Great food and service with a view to watch the crowds.
James Rennie
Great location for those who want to eat on Bourbon Street. Our waiter AJ was great
J Riley
The host in the navy blazer with the shoulder length hair you did an amazing job tonight. flipping your lucious brown locks a total of 43 times during watch on cats meow's live cam. I can see you love your hair and I respect that. Don't let it become your entire personality my friend. I know it takes a lot of effort to keep those locks. Nice hair bro.
Susanna Schuster
For the location I'm not surprised at the prices but for the food they served and it's quality the prices were not worth it. The service was okay, at times our servers were nice but at other times they seemed moody. The ambiance was terrible. The servers were running around as if they were understaffed and made it seem so stressful, but there were so many waiters there and it wasn't full... The Fried Chicken and waffles was very dry and the fried chicken was 70% breading 30% chicken. The lemon pepper chicken with fettuccine was okay but the chicken had no flavor and the fettuccine sauce was more like a soup than sauce and it was way too sour. In the pictures online there's not that much sauce in the fettuccine. And they don't have utensils, the chicken they gave me was not in small pieces so I had to cut through it and when I asked for a knife they gave me a really sharp and big kitchen knife... Which I couldn't even use because I couldn't cut much with the dishes soup like consistency. Not worth it at all.
Shelby Karma
Best reddish and crabcakes with fried green tomatoes. Best service I had all day. And the bloody Mary was awesome. I highly recommend this place.
fat fish
Location, location, location. The most beautiful terrace in Bourbon. Good creole food, great view and atmosphere
Desi Aguilar
We enjoyed the food. We did have to wait a bit to get a table, but the views from the outdoor balcony tables were fantastic.
Todd Applegate
Rice and Beans and BBQ shrimp here are some of the best in the country. When I’m in town I eat here 2-3 times before heading home. Balcony seating is perfect. Great view of all the action. No rushing or hassling. It’s just all around great food. No need to talk it up.
Brittany Ammer
This place....is INCREDIBLE. Not going to lie, we were pretty skeptical when we walked up. 2 guys were outside trying to coax us in. Little did they know, we had read reviews on this place prior to arriving and that was our destination. If I had just walked by and I had never heard of the place, I never would have stopped. But I am so happy we did! These were by far the best crab cakes we have ever tasted. The food came fast, was absolutely delicious, and decently priced. The ONLY drawback for us was no kids menu (we have a 3 year old). This dive was 1000% worth the stop and I will recommend it to everyone I know in New Orleans. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.
Terry Van Wey-Allen
Food was great 👍. Place was busy so service was doing it's best to make everything a quick as possible. We didn't mind being able to converse over drinks while waiting for food. Great atmosphere.
Matt Bailey
Everyone in our group enjoyed their drinks and meal. They seated us promptly upstairs when most places required a reservation. Fried chicken sandwich was really good. Wyatt was a great server, friendly and helpful. Great location too.
tim booher
Corner spot off Bourbon Street. Only been upstairs. Not a great selection of beers.
qiturah HARRIS
Love loved this place. Idk why they don’t have better reviews, best food in the area hands down. Came to Nola for the first time and ate here on the first day, I didn’t know at the time that this place was the best I’d eat on my whole vacay. As a foodie I really appreciated the fried chicken special, I loved the mash potatoes and peach cobbler, the chicken once fully dressed in hot sauce was good but could def do with more seasoning, had a nice crisp crunch which I liked, the quantity lasted me two days and that blueberry cocktail was great. The place had no line, unheard of for the area, no reservation only restrictions, and I ate on the balcony with a nice view. Waiters were all nice, and overall better food than all the other expensive inauthentic food around that area.
Paul Bragg
Great service, amazing food and a great view of bourbon street from the 2nd floor balcony!
Rebecca
One of their employees hailed us inside from walking on the street. The server we had was amazing, super personable and recommended a shrimp taco to complement our taco order (and we're so glad she did). Sat on the balcony and enjoyed the outdoor music while we are and drank. Would definitely visit again!
Michael Ryan
This restaurant is in the heart of Bourbon street. We sat outside on the balcony with a great view of the fun on the street. The food was amazing. I had the Ted beans and rice combo dinner with sausage, fried catfish and jambalaya. Amazing. Service was great. Molly was really great. Fast and sweet.
J K
The food was good and so was the service. We really enjoyed the view from the outside balcony.
Clarkner
Service is great, but food is just ok. Liked the macaroni cheese, but the corn bread tasted from a box and dry. Cajun platter is way too salty, which covers all other flavors. Shrimp creole of $17.50 tasted best, but can’t feed an adult. Not recommended.
Ymmen Goel
Ordered jambalaya and shrimp with yomato sauce. Didnt find anything special about them. I feel we could have cooked better at home. The seating is nice but its quite noisy due to obvious reason - its bourbon street.
Jason Martin
I expected a tourist experience, but wow. Food was decent flavor, but appetizer portion. We both left hungry! One drink each plus (simple) entries for $80+. Underwhelming.
Mark Zimmerman
I had the shrimp po boy and it was great. There was a lot of shrimp but even more bun. Our waiter was fast fun and knowledgeable
Brianna Rodriguez
Our server was very nice & attentive considering they were somewhat busy. I however was upset that I received my food with no utensils. When I asked the cook who served us our food for a fork, he told me to look for my server and ask her making me wait 20 minutes. The place has great potential, but the staff looks like they hate their life.
Ron O'Connell
Nice people but food portion are small and food doesn't have the kick it is supposed too
Christine James
The fried green tomatoes are very good and the balcony was an enjoyable place to have a light lunch.
kimberly lutz
Absolutely delicious! If you like shrimp you must try the Shrimp Jubilee appetizer. It's a breaded shrimp coated in sweet chili ale sauce. Mouth watering! Also I tried the fried redfish dinner and it did not did not disappoint. It's a fried redfish fillet covered with crawfish sauce served over garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing!. I will make sure to return to Cornet when I visit New Orleans again.
Michelle T
The crab cakes come with fried green tomatoes and they're delicious! Good service, balcony overlooking Bourbon, and still serving food at 10:30pm.
Sarah Pugmire
Service and food are phenomenal! Highly recommend the second floor seating.
Qi Zhou
Great vibe tvs around. But food and service is aight.
Carrie Chlebanowski
The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because the bartender was really sweet and attentive. The manager standing in rhe intersection with a menu trying to get people inside should have been a red flag- especially having worked in hospitality for so long. The sazerac drink was barely a shot (In all fairness, the bartender did warn us that it was small) but the fried alligator looked to be rhe crumbs from the bottom of the frozen package and the crab cakes were pasty and dense. So many better options in the quarter... Mambo's for one.
Angélica Moya
The host is super nice and the food is good, unfortunately we couldn’t order more than one drink since no one checked on us during the dinner… but it was a crazy busy night… a good place to go and enjoy for the Bourbon Street view..
Steven Dykeman
Fun place with friendly staff. We sat on the balcony. A nice experience. Somewhat loud music across the street, but maybe you'll enjoy the excitement. The food is good for a bar type establishment, but not great.
Enjoli
This was the best experience of my trip.Although the wait was long in the line, I knew the food would be worth it.....& IT Was!!! A red fish over mashed potatoes and a cream sauce with shrimp... then a fried chicken mashed potatoes n collard meal with peach cobbler!!! Drinks were great, management on top of their friendliness and the cooks did a hell of a job..Hot food and a Great Time#SUPER!!👌👌👌👌👌🤩
Belina N
Food was decent. Very small servings. Pastalaya pasta was too soft, not worth the cost. Jamabalaya, Gumbo and Creole shrimp were good but not something I would go back here for. Don’t order crab cakes unless you like “cake” more than crabmeat. Service was also soooo slow. Wish it could have been better. 🙁 …
Ryan McCaffery
I went to NOLA with a group of 21 guys for a bachelor party. A few months prior, I saw Cornet had a balcony and private bar for rent. I reached out to their manager, Sharon, and she was incredibly helpful, professional, and quick to respond to any question or request we had. The balcony and bar experience was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We had plenty of room for our party of 21(and then some) and didn’t come close to drinking past our bar tab, even though we tried like hell. It is truly the perfect location for bead throwing and partying. Sharon connected us with a wholesaler for beads and it was absolutely the way to go. The experience exceeded our expectations so much that we all decided to book it again the next night and Sharon put it all together for us in less than an hour... she’s awesome! Once we booked it once, we realized there’s no other way to truly do Bourbon St. I could not recommend this balcony and bar enough.
Sheila Mackie
Not as I remember it from a couple of years ago. However, the bread pudding was phenomenal!
Rachael Mattingly
Great service and the food was amazing! I had the blackened catfish and it was soo good.
Megan Thee Stallion
Such a nice, considerate bartender looking out for their customers and doing the right thing!
J D
Great redfish & boom boom shrimp.
Cheanay Pritchett
We had tasty food and a sweet waitress!
David DeRossette
The crab cakes with fried green tomatoes were tasty along with the red fish. The plates came out warm which is where they lost a star. The staff was tentative and very nice. We enjoyed dining on the balcony.
Barb Rivello
We only stopped for appetizers, the flambeaux fries and a caprese salad, both were outstanding! We ate on the balcony overlooking Bourbon street. It was a fun atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive. When we return to New Orleans this fall we're definitely going back!
Breanne Jojola
The location of this place was amazing. We dined on the balcony overlooking Bourbon street. The food was really good. Cocktails were spot on. My waiter had a lot of trouble keeping his mask on which was annoying but overall I would definitely go again
Jackie Moody
Service was fantastic, ambiance was festive and exciting, and the food was fantastic. But it is a bit pricey. Very worth it.
Stacy Gayle
The service was good. The balcony seating was nice. The food was a bit disappointing. With all the other great places in the area, I don’t think we’d go back.
Keith Kennedy
2 each of nice thick Crab Cakes and fried green tomatoes topped topped with Crawfish Monica sauce was awesome.
Keith Somebody
Nice lil bar. Good food. Good service.
John C
Awesome location, good service, unique drinks.
Had a fantastic spicy martini here
Chase Reece
First time I had shrimp creole and it was fantastic, the portion wasn't that big but I crushed within a couple minutes, but nevertheless outstanding, tonight I had medium rare cornet burger and that was fan freaking tastic.. next time we make the trip from Iowa, this WILL be a frequent stop. So good. Thanks cornet for the memorable honeymoon.
Megen Bowery
First night on bourbon st and we came to get a quick bite around 9:30pm. The food was wonderful. I had the fish tacos and wowwww! My drink was mediocre but that’s okay. A man was down on the corner playing and singing jazz and it made a great setting as we hung out on the balcony. Great place.
Tony Dycus
Food was decent but only one complain. The bowl of crawfish ettouffee was delicious but only got a very small portion for $19.50. Had to order to shrimp poorboy to have something to eat. If you order any of the gumbos or soup don't expect much.
Colin Kleinmann
The staff was friendly and everything came out quick and fresh. Largest medium beer I've ever seen.
Relax RV Podcast (Relaxrn)
Balcony seating and eating creole and crab cakes delicious!
Tom Gambino
Hurricanes are $12 for a regular size cup, automatically charge gratuity, gumbo is tasty but not a very big serving for $11.50.
3% charge for credit card. You can go almost across the street for $5 hurricanes. Probably won't go there again.
Carina Lewis
My husband and I popped into this place for a quick meal and boy was it quick! We knew exactly what we wanted so we ordered immediately and the food was out within five minutes flat. It was hot fresh and some of the best fried chicken we have had. Great service!
Hailey
Good restaurant, very busy!
Eric Selden
The location is great, the food portions were extremely inconsistent. The table next to us got 30% more pasta and we ordered the same plate. The alligator bites were great, but our second order wasnt the same size as the first.
Jokuita Spence
The chicken was bland but the hurricane was FIRE! It's definitely worth the stop.
Dave Mack
Talk about a find! We were hungry And stumbled into Cornet. The balcony was super pleasant, staff was attentive, and the food was great! Would come again, what a great spot!
Benjamin Parrish
Great place, right on Burbon street. A little pricey, but the Shrimp Creole was good. For myself, my wife, our three kids, and my mama (who only got a salad) it was $160 with tip. Would have liked to see more Creole cuisine on the menu. Teddy, our waiter, did an excellent job. Thanks Teddy.
W W Jr
If you want a great corner spot overlooking bourbon street then this place is great. The food was just ok but the drinks were excellent
Walter Butscher
Great place. Clean. friendly staff. Great service.
D Moore
We ate here while on vacation this past week. The waitress was friendly and answered patiently questions we had about the town. Our food was amazing and a good price for all the food you got. We loved it so much. We went back the next night for dinner and they didn't disappoint.
Carla Hoover
Food was ok...probably not the best spot, but ok...
stephanie gibson
Food tasted good but was a little over priced. The server who delivered our food bumped my husband's hand causing him to spill his Bloody Mary that was over half full and they didn't replace it. However the bartender (2nd floor) was nice and he gave my husband a free draft beer.
Carolina Noordermeer
Excellent ambiance and great service. The bar is clean and it is beautiful! The Muggle Margarita was my favorite drink. It was nice to find a bar on Bourbon Street with a bartender that wasn’t trying to rush us out. I highly recommend them if you are more of the classy type, but you still want to get the Bourbon Street experience.
Kayla Hickman
We love this place! We came back to it twice in two days! We don’t remember their names, but a young lady bartender helped us the first day, and then an older gentleman server helped us on the second day. We sat downstairs and on the balcony! We loved people watching off the balcony, right on Bourbon street! I tried both their Bloody Mary and the Blueberry drink, both made with infused vodka and they were SO GOOD! We love this place and will be back! Also, it was exceptionally clean for being on Bourbon street.
Michaelene Chartier
Got caught in a down pour and ended up stopping in here. We couldn't find the place we were looking for and I am so glad! This place is a great place to stop and take in some of the local flavor...both in cuisine & atmosphere. The food is good, the service friendly and accommodating. Two of us ate for $50, one appetizer, two entrees and no drinks. One word of warning, at least for the ladies, the bathroom facilities are a bit claustrophobic!!! (Sorry not sure about the men's room). I recommend sitting on the balcony if weather permits, it is awesome & fun! Enjoy Bourbon street!
Michael Esposito
The food was fantastic and Erin was an incredible server. Her fantastic service singlehandedly made our night. She recommended the redfish, bread pudding, and “infused blueberry hill”. And they were FANTASTIC. The world needs more Erins
Stuart Mathiesen
Great place to hang out and people watch from the balcony on Bourbon Street. Good food and cocktails. Helpful friendly staff.
joshua moore
This place has some of the best staff ever. Most places you go to they just take your order and never interact with you. But this spot is the exact opposite. They’re so attentive and caring, while also being fun and charismatic. The food is amazing, the service is incredible. This is the spot to go to.
Martina Davis
Food is delicious, the brisket and fried shrimp are the best I've ever had! Our server, Maria was awesome! She delivered great customer service and gave recommendations on places to visit while in NOLA
Woody Odell
Delicious food and great atmosphere. Dining outside was definitely pleasant. The bathrooms definitely leave something to be desired because if you have to sit for any reason prepare to have the saloon doors about four inches from your face. You'll want to bring at least a 20( three of us ate for 85 with two alcoholic beverages), your appetite, and make sure to tip your waiter.
K Schulte
If you're looking for the perfect picture location... this just might be the place!
Melanie Wright
It was pretty good. The service was good and we were able to sit out on the balcony. The food was a little bland which is why only 4 stars but I would recommend eating here if you're super hungry with their generous portion sizes and to get a good view of Bourbon Street.
Bobbi Romans
Loved the meal and the rooftop dining! A Po Boy and alligator bites for the win.
Gilbert Guerra
Fabulous and the bartender up stairs as beautiful inside as out. Very attentive than u for a Great Birthday... tell her ty for the shots . I asked her for something she likes to take, they had a kick. Me n my bff enjoyed it
Jennifer Stembridge
Good food. Good drinks. A little slow but people watching from the balcony was a great way to wait!
Juan De la Miyar
Great place, the best beer in place.
John Mcbride
Moscow mule from upstairs probably the worst one I’ve ever had. My wife got the infused blueberry hill and I’m pretty sure I could serve it to a child because, like the mule, lacked even a hint of alcohol. It’s bourbon street—give it a good pour, bud. I didn’t even expect much and was still disappointed with it. Server was cool. Place seems okay if you are just wanting a pitstop drink.
Shannan Boyer
Perhaps we came on a bad day, but the service was pretty slow and inattentive. While the Po Boys were large, the jambalaya entre was small, dry and barely contained any chicken or sausage. Overall I don’t feel this lunch (for three people) was worth the $60 we spent.
Tisha Lopez
The service was excellent. Recieved our food in a timely manner and was still hot. There was more seafood dishes than anything. But that is what all the restaurants are down here. Overall a very nice place to eat amd drink.
Kevin Hannon
Had a good time on the balcony while enjoying a cold beer and some alligator sausage. Watched at least four parades go down Bourbon Street while I was drinking and eating. The alligator sausage was awesome. The view was great. Clearly saw the parades and able to get pictures. This was early and when I came by later I was still impressed what front a row seat to the action the balcony seating at the Corner provided.
Stacy Foster
Amazing food, got red beans and rice and a fried chicken sandwhich. Great service and great drinks. Sat on balcony upstairs with a great view! Very happy with this place. Only con, the bathrooms are tiny! Hard to even get in the stall
Oliver Lythgoe
Table on the balcony was a great location.
You know when you really fancy a salad, but something tells an an experienced traveller that food that had been been boiled or deep fried would be a safer option. Well...it's that kind of place.
Gerard D
Cool place, neat atmosphere, especially up and out on the balcony overlooking Bourbon St. Food was good, but expensive, so don't go here if you're looking for a good value. The staff were friendly. Be aware - they add 18% gratuity to your bill, but don't tell you, and then will bring you a credit card receipt without the details, with another line to add a tip. If you're not paying attention, you'll end up tipping them two times over!
Linda Ellison
The food was great! Bartenders were really good/on the ball. We were upstairs. Watched the Vikings Saints game on Christmas day. We're from MN. Fun atmosphere for the game!
Fabrice Baudoin
Location is perfect to enjoy Bourbon Street atmosphere from a charming balcony. Food is okay and overall relatively cheap.
Lisa Crowe
Diana called us in off the street and was the perfect waitress. The shrimp trio, boudin balls and Cajun platter was amazing. We had the best seating on the balcony. Come here you won’t be disappointed.
Jon Barton
My wife and I ate there last night. The door man was very friendly and a great attribute to the restaurant. The reason for the 3 star rating is because my wife got a catfish poboy and she really enjoyed it. I unfortunately got their jumbalia and it was cold and a very small portion for 17 dollars.
Sarah Dee
Great last min decision to eat here. Only place we’ve been at where our group of 6 was able to cash out w ease. The waitress split our check without even asking, which is not common around here! The food was good too!
Sean Wachter
Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. Bar was very inviting then we headed up stairs for food. Loved the crawfish etoufee, crawfish mac and cheese and alligator bites.
J Cee
My most favorite bar on Bourbon street! We always sneak inside to have a seat and watch the world pass by. I love that this place is quiet, elegant and well prices. Bartenders are friendly, quick and know the perfect amount of idle chit chat.
You won't be disappointed if you need to get out of the wild and take a break. We bee line for this place!
Chris McGreevy
Food was good, service was somewhat lacking.
Cameron Carbone
Red beans and rice? 10/10, you gotta get this one.
Richard O'Neill
Had great experience at the bar with service and the fries below. The bartender made the experience. Took off one star because we came back again that day and tried some other food which was just average.
Bonnie V
Had dinner here one evening and the staff was great and the food was delicious. My son had the "Huge Ass Seafood Platter" (that's how its listed in the menu") and I opted for the red beans n rice w cornbread...so good. Probably going back today befored heading back to Texas. Prices were fair.
Brittany mabry
The absolute worst service. Nobody wanted to come and take our order. Took about 20 minutes for someone to bring some water and take our drink order. Then when we got our food everyone at the table got the wrong thing except me. First restaurant in NOLA I tried and was a lil disappointed
Lolita Stallworth
Food was delicious.. Staff wonderful.. Roof top dining.. Loved it..
Nels Arne
If youre into a nestalgic french quarter friendly environment where you can relax and enjoy a good drink this is for you
Denise
Great restaurant with a great view! The food and drinks are awesome!!
Noah Farris
Cornet was pretty good, service was fine, food was good. But the price was really high, and the quality of food did not justify that price, that she the atmosphere wasn't really that great so I'm not sure if it's just the fact that it's on bourbon Street that it's expensive, but I couldn't think of another reason to justify it.
Anthony Stanley
First, it is not called Embers anymore. Food was very good and our service was great. Sat on the balcony and watched the action. Is a little pricey. I had steak and an App. My wife had an App and a salad. I had coke and wife had 2 glasses of wine. 120$. But, again, the food was very good.
Carson Scercy
We had 8 people eat here and every dish was delicious! It's expensive but worth it. Stars of the show were the lemon chicken pasta, crawfish mac and cheese, and ribs. Everything was insanely good!
R M
Food was AMAZING! And good price. The gumbo we do good the perfect amount for a quick snack. Food prices were great but I will say drinks were pricy considering the food was so cheap.
Robert Aiken
When you come to the French Quater go to Cornets on the corner of St. Peter and Bourbon street. When you go there ask for Cookie, she will give you the best experience and keep you smiling. She knows the menu and will match you with a meal that will fill your belly and awaken your soul. The food is sealed with experience and love for New Orleans as made by the hands of Chef Kelly.
Rayna
Best balcony calamari in New Orleans… The dapper looking doorman with the long hair most definitely deserves a raise, outstanding work ethic👏 …
Ricky Trautwein
Savvy was great. Cold beers. Great drafts. Excellent vibes here!!
Scott Schuman
Great drinks and a friendly staff
Enio Carpi
Great hurricane. The jambalaya was delicious.
Gene Dixon
My wife and I get Bloody Marys all over the US. These Infused Vodka Marys are the best we have ever had. They have olives celery and green beans, we suggested adding cheese cubes to them. The Cornet is located right on Bourbon St. with balcony view and the food is excellent.
Barbara Benjamin
Excellent good, wonderful service, loved the atmosphere
Luke B
Our server was awesome. Food was delicious. Portions sizes are pretty big, so don't order a lot unless you plan on carrying a to-go box
Renee Paxton
Friendly. The shrimp remoulade and gumbo was great.
Walt Haste
Appetizers are delicious, drinks are spot on.
Only stopped in for a New Orlean A/A meeting (appetizers and alcohol).
Adan Allen
All the favorites and local specialties we were hoping to find, in one place. Cool location with balcony seating to watch Bourbon Street.
Bennet Martinez
There was an amazing crew of people while we were there, all the servers were very friendly and had no problem helping us with any questions we had but the man that asked us if we were hungry knew what we were thinking of when we turned the corner and we were more than satisfied.
jamie hawkthorne
Ate here with my whole family. What an experience! food was great, server was great, even the doorman was a blast. Thanks for the great time.
Amanda Miley
Corn bread was extremely dry. But great location and atmosphere. Fried chicken and crab cakes were delicious.
William Pierce Jr (Trunoc8)
Good Food Good Drinks Good Vibes Come To New Orleans on Bourbon St Come Out an Eat at Cornets
Jeremiah Heierman
Good window seats to watch the madness.
Corey Bell
Food was food. Shared a couple dishes and everything was tasty. Tina, if I recall correctly, was awesome. Management had the place understaffed so she was the only server on the bottom floor but she was still very friendly and personable.
Jordan Emerle
Pretty awesome joint. They've got super good drinks, a friendly staff, and killer Cajun food. Surprisingly, they've got the best chicken Alfredo I've ever had in my entire life.
Stephanie M.
This place is a hidden gem among the slew of wall bars along Bourbon Street. We were in town during the Red Dress Run and calling the surrounding area a "hot mess" wouldn't even begin to describe it so we fell into this bar by chance. It's clean and in the perfect spot for people watching but nothing beats their food and its employees. The Cornet was by far our favorite place in New Orleans for hanging out and we even came back the next day. The ladies at the bar, Nikki (bartender) and Sherri (bar manager), were hilarious and kept the good times rolling. The manager, Joe, also took the time to come by and congratulate us because we were there on a bachelor(ette) trip! They have bloody marys that use a house infused vodka for extra flavor and are better than Pat O'Brien's. Delicious! But if you're not a fan of the tomato mix then definitely go with the martini version which has a spiced rim. They've got a full bar to choose from along with a nice tap selection. Of course, you can't drink too much without needing food and let me tell you, the alligator sausage that's on the menu is probably the best appetizer I've had ever.. anywhere. They also have fried shrimp available and a tater tot option that are worth ordering! The building is located on a corner so you don't miss out on any of the people watching. We will be back! Special "Thank You!" to Nikki, Sherri, and Joe for an unforgettable trip!

We had 5 people walk in without a booking. They were fairly busy but the service was great. The food came out quicker than we expected for 5 unique dishes and we all enjoyed what we had. Would definitely recommend.

Great establishment. Nice and airy. Phenom coffee, Baileys and Jameson’s. Didn’t order food. Probably won’t next time either. Warm bathroom. Safe environment. 🥰🥰🥰 10/10 would go back. …

I actually got through to someone, so I am holding out hope of fulfilling an item on my bucket list and visiting New Orleans! :-) They may not have Galliano, but the pictures of their food makes me want to visit sooner than later! :-)~~ Food, music, karaoke, fun! Can't wait to visit!!!! :-)

Fun place to grab a drink. Food was ok, but in no hurry to go back. A little pricey for what your getting. Service was friendly, both front door and bar staff. I would recommend the friend green tomatoes

I highly recommend the Crawfish Mac and cheese, amazing! Great atmosphere, location, and history behind this restaurant. There is even balcony seating, overlooking bourbon street. Definitely my favorite meal on my week long visit to New Orleans! (Nawlins)

ROCKSTAR wait staff. I wish I caught our waiters name to recognize him personally but he was the friendliest and most helpful person both for menu options as well as local attractions for our family to visit. Tour of New Orleans was fantastic and the Big A$$ Seafood Platter was a great plate to share.

I would say this is the nicest and cleanest bar/restaurant on Burbon street. Wish we would have found it earlier in our trip. Prices were very reasonable. Drinks were fantastic and the food looked amazing. I would highly recommend this place if you were looking for a quieter and nicest place than the typical Burbon Street stuff.

Had a great evening and wonderful waitress who served me.

I love the appetizers here. The Shrimp Remoulade and Boudin Balls are my personal favorites. The service is good. The beer selection is somewhat lacking and the entrees are okay.

Being at New Orleans for our first visit and first meal, we could not have picked a better place. We asked to sit on the upper balcony and ate our authentic cuisine while watching the crazy people on Bourbon St. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. I got Red Beans and Rice for $16 and got a delicious, generous portion with cornbread to die for. My husband got "Taste of New Orleans" for $18 and it consisted of real jambalaya, gumbo and cachon de lait....It was the perfect meal and our waitress, Maiya, was outstanding. Telling us about the food and the area. She was truly a beautiful person, on the inside and out. We definitely will stop there next time we visit NO. Side note....the next day we went to get a beignet at the famous Cafe Du Monde, and decided to sit by the water on the riverwalk area on a perfect weather day. We sat on a bench and realized we could see Maiya (our waitress from Cornet) sitting a ways down, probably waiting to start work. She didn't know we could see her. A local lady was selling beer and waters out of a rolling cooler and walked past Maiya, Even though Maiya was going to work in a bit, she called them woman over to buy a water and help her out with a sale,,,and then Maiya asked the man who had been sitting by himself, a bench away from her, if he wanted a water or a beer. It was apparent the man was down on his luck and her random act of kindness was amazing. He accepted her offer, and got a beer. Maiya paid for it, put her headphones back in and they went back into their separate worlds. We will never forget witnessing her kindness. The world would be a better place with more people like her.

We didn't eat here but the Bloody Mary's are a must.

Was very disappointed that they no longer have Boudin Balls on the menu 😕 …

Pretty good foods, nice atmosphere decent drinks. If you use a cash app card you might want to visit an ATM first, there is one in their lobby but it was out of service.

Had a great time here! Sit out in the balcony to overlook Bourbon street and have some fun with your waiter. Eric was terrific and so much fun to talk to and learn places to see while in New Orleans!! It was a highlight for us.

The food was excellent but the portions were rather on the small side. I hope they consider upping the size of their portions. The food is delicious, we want more!!!!!
