It's take away only now due to covid. It's a great 24 hour place so you can come here after having Sazeracs next door. The moussaka and curly fries were delicious.

Sooo Good! Looking for a Friday evening meal without looking forward to a busy restaurant experience and saw this on Canal street in a little corner store. Took it back to hotel room and really enjoyed the food. Had the shawarma and hummus!! Sooo yummy.

Quite possibly the best gyro I've had in my life. The basmati rice was light as air, and the feta was fantastic. First and foremost when you hear that this is a convenience store that serves Mediterranean food, don't get scared. It's not a corner store in the hood. The store and restaurant are very clean and well kept. Staff was incredibly friendly. I was asked by two different people of I enjoyed my meal. The fact that Cleo's is open 24 hours is a God send. I work late and normally my dinners consist of something in a bag served from a drive in. Thank you to the crew at Cleo's for one the best meals I've had this week.

Overall great experience - don’t let the convenience store turn you away. Food has great flavor & is seasoned well. Only complaint - we found a plastic black piece in the vegetable moussaka. Definitely glad I was eating it rather than the kids. Great pricing & worth a try!

Been wanting to try them for a while. Finally did last night and omg it’s so delicious. I’m not usually a fan of humus but theirs is yummy. Would definitely recommend and will definitely buy again in the future! Also they’re open 24/7 since it’s also a convenient store.

OMG THIS FOOD WAS SOOOO AMAZING!!! I am in love with this place! This is the best food I've had in New Orleans. The food is DELICIOUS the customer service is GREAT and they have the biggest assortment of beverages I've ever seen! Pricing was good and servings were perfect. It's located in a convince store so it's easy to miss but it is so perfect with no wait. They only offer to-go but it is so yummy and satisfying.

Got Veggie Falafel wrap and it was yum! It’s a grocery store serving food as well. There is no Dine In, only Take out is available. It’s open 24 hours so if you’re looking for Mediterranean food for take out, this is a good option

Delicious food in an unassuming environment. Go into what looks like a convince store and notice the collection of international candy. Push past and to the delicious Mediterranean food in the back. Everything we had was amazing. We tried an appetizer sampler, gyro, lamb (x2), and veg plate. Team Cleo's told us that they are about to open a new restaurant down the street. I'm excited to see where they go and will follow them wherever it may be.

Excellent Mediterranean food at an off-beat casual location. The manager allowed us to get some beers which was a plus. They have a great selection of craft soft drinks and an interesting menu that is freshly prepared.

This is my GO TO unexpected foodie spot in NOLA. Every single thing I’ve ever eaten from Cleo’s is fresh, high quality, incredible Mediterranean food. It’s an excellent Vegan option in a city where it can be difficult to eat plant based. Don’t be deterred by the chaotic and messy convenience store appearance when you enter- they just don’t have enough room for all the awesome products they offer! This is a real gem! Order the falafel. It’s the best I’ve ever had. The salad dressing is lip smacking, the roasted veggies are seasoned to perfection and never over done or mushy, the hummus is smooth as butter, and the ful medames is a delightful addition to the menu. LOVE THIS SPOT!

Look the first time I order from yall and you actually give me the 2 dollars of taziki sauce I pay for imma change it to 5 but I keep begging yall and you insist on sending a single tiny little ramekin for 2 dollars like at least send two why do you hate me? Open late with a huge variety of sodas and different drinks as well as snacks. Lots of unique and hard to find/imported stuff. Lots of tobacco products like gar wraps and cigarettes. They also have a Mediterranean restaurant with good late night food.

I order the lamb with hummus. It was pretty delicious! This is a fun place to grab some food. The food selection is great AND they have a refrigerator with no alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for sale.

We came in with 8 people and while there was some mix up with orders, the owner was incredibly apologetic and kept asking how to make it up to us, including cooking everything again for free. He insisted on giving us free deserts, which were delicious!! Swarma and gyros are quite tasty and staff were friendly. No complaints here at all.

Food was delicious. Only thing i didn't like was the pita bread coz it was chewy. Cashier was ok with her job. She explained everything we wanted to know. Price is kind of hig but what can you expect in the crowded lousiana street.

We enjoy Mediterranean food, especially after a trip to Egypt. We are always looking for a place to get more. Cleo's did not disappoint! We ordered the vegetarian plate because good baba ganoush is hard to find. Cleo's tebouleh salad is super flavorful, the fried cheese layered with spinach, tomatoes, and goat cheese is fabulous, the chicken seasoned with tumeric and curry is amazing. Our family of 6 ate for 100.00, because we ordered so many great entres... and had humus and plenty of our meal left over. Plus, one of the staff members we met is from Egypt, and we had a great time chatting about how delicious koshari is and how no restaurants make it...maybe it will appear on the menu one day...

They have a wide selection of drinks, some of which you can only get at whole foods or fresh market. This water is expensive whereever Ive seen it. Not sure where they got the stock from. Anyway the lamb shank looks big. I dont have the stomach to finish it tonight. Anyway, interesting selections here

If I lived in the Crescent City, I would be eating here all.the.time. I've lived in Alexandria, Egypt twice, and this food fills a fül sized hole in my soul, while also being distinctly of New Orleans. The addition of hot sauce to the foul medames is brilliant, and the pepper oil in the tzatziki is flat-out inspired. In Egypt these foods would have been complemented with flavors that one can't always find in the US, so in true immigrant-fashion, they're spun into flavors from the local area. I would have been happy to eat this on my balcony in Sporting, two blocks from the tram, and I'm delighted to eat them on Canal, right beside the street car! Order a bunch of mezzes and enjoy what the vision of the chef. شكرا!

I had chicken kofta with humus and rice. It was tasty but I think they could have been a little easy on salt. The humus with spicy/hot sauce was a great touch as well. I will definitely try something else here before I leave. The service was quick as well.

This is some of the best Lebanese food I’ve ever had. An absolute gem! The best lentil soup I’ve ever had and the grilled chicken salad was so fresh and delicious I barely touched the dressing (even though that was fresh and amazing as well). The hummus was incredible. You usually only find late night spots like this in NYC. We will be back every time we come to NOLA! ❤️

Walking in purely from the smell! With all the smells at Mardi gras that says a lot. It's small and a bit cramped, menu at the counter. Service was great. Food way amazing.

I'm back in New Orleans for the Holidays and I had to revisit this restaurant since my last visit in July '21. This time was even better. My order was correct the first go around and the store manager was helpful and a sweetheart. She even helped me select a couple disposable vapes. All in all, this is a nice place for Mediterranean food and I would highly recommend, just remember to check our order before leaving!!

Ordered this late night meal to-go last night after arriving in NOLA. The food did not disappoint - it was all very flavourful and delicious. It has a convenience store attached to it so it is easy to miss. Reasonably priced and big portions. I do wish they gave a couple of knives with our food but we should have asked instead of assuming.

Best Mediterranean in NOLA, hands down. The food is exceptional and plentiful. With a large menu to choose from you can't go home hungry from Cleo's! I recommend the Veggie Swarma w/ Lamb added (or whatever meat you prefer); it's the best of all things! And don't forget the taziki sauce!

I was traveling for work and had walked by Cleo’s on my previous 2 visits, so when I saw the reviews I knew I had to see how the food matched up to the amazing aromas. It was Exactly as most of the previous reviews promised: It’s a little bit expensive - $17 for a full platter of their star dishes - but there was plenty of food and it was absolutely spectacular! Try the Egyptian breakfast, as the fried eggplant and fava dip were both something new and tasty. I brought it back to my hotel, but you can stay and eat there if you’re just taking a break from the French Quarter. Enjoy!

I don't know what it was about this restaurant, but I fell in love with it; I'd go back in a heartbeat. Friendly service and amazingly authentic Lebanese dishes. Although most people say don't miss New Orleans' jambalaya and beignets (which is true), I also say don't miss this place! My lamb and hummus plate was to die for--I didn't leave so much as a drop of olive oil on my plate. Site is also great for the international foods and beverages available in the shop.

We went here reading the raving reviews of the place. Its an unassuming place merged with a convenience store. It had about 3 or 4 tables only but its open 24 hours. I would think its a gem (especially for Vegans/Vegetarians). And the fact that it is very close to the Bourbon Street, is a plus. We ordered the Veggie Platter. The menu states that all Vegetarian Platters come with Pita, Salad or Rice, but upon ordering we were told that the menu is incorrect. It does not come with Salad or Rice. The funny part is their website has a menu which also says the same thing. Apparently the other meat platters come with Pita, Salad/Rice. The price is the same, so felt it was a little unfair towards Vegetarians. Mainly because the quantity is not much. The platter is ~$15. The Veggie platter came with Humus, Baba Ghanoush, Tabbouleh, Falafel and Veggie-Grape Leaves and served with pita bread. The Veggie Grape leaves were amazing. Hummus and Falafel was really good too. The second thing we ordered was Foul Madamas (~$7). I did not fancy this dish much. There was a strong Kalamata Olive flavor in this dish which was not very pleasant. I have had amazing Foul Madamas in other Mediterranean restaurants. However, since we were famished, we managed to finish it all. The server was very sweet. I think she was new and still training, so was very kind to go back and forth into the kitchen to get our questions answered. +one Star for that. In my opinion, the place was a little pricey. But the location and the timings are all very well! I do recommend this place to everyone and we may be back to this place the next time we are in NOLA.

Wonderful and literal hole in the wall restaurant. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The server was charming and attentive but not pushy and overly friendly (this usually comes off as fake to me). It's a small place and only have roughly 3 -5 group tables. Portions was just right and while prices was low, we had a high quality meal!

Ordered at the counter. Food took 30 min. Which is fine as it was fresh, asked for a side salad and it was $9? Seemed high but I thought it may be large. Nope it was very small, $9 seemed steep for having no meat. Other than that my meal was seasoned great, rice could have more seasoning. Asked for a small tatziki sauce and was told its $2 for 2 oz. Overall I would say my meal and salad for $29 was not exactly worth the price.

Excellent food with good sized portions. We had left overs for 2 additional meals. We order take out so we did not experience the actual resturant but the food traveled well for delivery. Super super tasty food in an unassuming corner store. Got the beef shawarma with rice and hummus. The beef (billed as ribeye, but I don't think it actually was - doesn't matter either way) was salty and well-spiced. The rice was a touch underseasoned, but the flavor of the beef more than made up for it. The hummus was super bright and garlicky, absolutely delicious. Would definitely try their other offerings!

Store is great, food is good, prices are bad. Open 24 hours, but when you pay $60 for two people and they forget half the sides is unacceptable. Yes, I can just tell them and get them to fix it, but if you're charging a premium price, you need to provide a premium service. Got the Lemon pepper flounder. Received some other fish covered in lemon seasoning from a shaker. Hummus looks squeezed out of a tube. Staff was friendly. Good location.

Ordered on doordash chicken shawarma with rice hummus and pitas. They are the best 2 a.m. food to hit the spot. Very filling. Big portion fresh pitas. I wish the rice had more flavor like a garlic rice option but over all I stick by 5 stars will order again.

This was the softest hummus I've ever had- especially at 2am! There were also a seemingly infinite number of unique bottled beverages in the case that left my head spinning. From Jamaican Soda to healthy Rootbeer Float soda, the drink display was most impressive.

First time eating here. The gyro and the hummus were awesome, and I thought they were worth the money ($15 for a plate with a salad). I also ordered a plate with chicken shawarma and a falafel wrap. The chicken was fine, nothing impressive. The falafel was poor flavor-wise and was definitely not fresh fried. I am giving 4 stars on the basis of the gyro, 3 on the chicken and 1 for the falafel.

It's like the classic mom and pops store where nothing is organized but it is okay because you know what you want and you go straight to it. I don't know how to explain it really I just know it didn't bother me a bit going in there. They have alot of import drinks and snacks that are not in many stores. They even pop the bottle caps off for you. Nice! They also serve food too but no beer unfortunately.

Yes yes yes food hear is awesome and open late. For a city that never sleeps this place is great I can't find much places to get a good deal at 3 or 4 am it's quit annoying so hats off to Cleo's u have saved my hungry stomach multiple times. The food is great I really like the fries and gyros. Honestly and truly the best vegan cuisine I was able to my whole four days here!!! The owner of the restaurant was very hospitable! The energy you give off is definitely what you get back here. That can be a good or bad thing depending on how you want your trip to go. But when positive vibes come from you, you will receive them back. Love the ppl!

This is the only place you need when all other restaurants call it a day and shut down for the night. The answer to where you'll grab to-go meals from in the middle of the night. Drink selection for sodas and more is great. Also lots of imported candy and snacks, just ask for the price first (some of it is ridiculously marked up). But as far as the food, it's top notch and always there late nights.

This hole in the wall has great Mediterranean Takeout! The chicken swarma was perfectly flavored and drizzling the salad dressing on it was great for the taste buds. Also had the grilled shrimp and vegetables... Very fresh tasting and much more mildly spiced dish. Highly recommend.

24/7, yes all day everyday you will have a vegan option in Nola. You also find various exotic snacks that are highly sought out after on TikTok. The food here was great! It was definitely freshly made, but it was also super fast. Very vegetarian friendly! It's in a little corner store so they've also got lots of snacks and one of the largest non-alcoholic drink selections I've ever seen. If you want booze you'll have to go pick it up at another store, but they'll let you drink it there. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

I am super picky when it comes to arab food, especially since I live somewhere where it’s super accessible. Cleo’s impressed me for sure! The lamb shawarma was the best that I have ever had (where most people try to trick you with gyro meat... this was super well seasoned and fresh). I ate the kibbeh the next day while cold and that was hands down the best kibbeh I’ve had and I normally order mine special from a Syrian lady. The garlic sauce was clearly homemade. Great selection of snacks and sweets. I’m glad I took a break from catfish and gumbo on my vacation to order here. The cashier was super friendly and accommodating since the order was going to take a long time, she called me when it was ready so I could come pick it up later.

You walk by this tiny convenient store a it looks to be same as all the other dingy litte dive shops in the area but when you Order some food from there and get ready to get your sock knocked off. Great food but a little pricey. My portion was smaller than I expected but it was delicious. If you want to get full for lunch you will pretty much have to get the 14.99 plate of almost anything here. I enjoyed the convenience store environment all around us as it made it easy to get snacks for later.

We took a Togo from here and the pita breads were cold and not good to eat. It got hard when we reached hotel and we couldn’t eat the pita breads. Overall rest of the food tasted good, i wish they could have done a better job at customer service too as when asked to add/remove something for same price, they didn’t give us the best service. Will definitely won’t visit this place in future.

Great food! We got the platter for lunch and loved it. The place is extremely simple (if it wasn't for yelp, you'd guess the food would be pretty mediocre from the set up). It is shared with a cheap grocery store. The service was a bit slow. But it was all worth it! Open 24 hours. If your idea of a date is going to a thrift shop... this could be a great follow up!

What a great place. It's a convenience store with items you don't see anywhere else. And it is a fine, very very casual and inexpensive restaurant that has excellent food. I'm not a vegetarian but there is a large selection of dishes that friends tell me are fabulous. I had the Chicken Shawarma Wrap ($7) that has bonded me to this place. Very tasty. And the manager, perhaps the owner, was very friendly and inquired about my satisfaction. I was there for lunch but It's open late also. Do yourself a favor. Thank me later.

This was my favorite place to eat during my stay. I love all types of good, but the richness of New Orleans cuisine left me looking for variety. I ended up eating here nearly daily toward the end of my visit. All the dishes I tried were fantastic! The veggies & meat were good quality, cooked perfectly, and super tasty. Delicious food. Great flavors. Very authentic. The eating area is pleasant, but keep in mind that it’s part of a convenience store, so don’t expect ambiance, but the seating area is tastefully done. I expected them to be open when i first arrived because i thought they were 24/7. However today they opened for 11. The place was very clean and well kept. The server was great and well attentive. They have a new location directly on Canal now which is awesome! It's a bit smaller than the last space but much cleaner, and very lovely put together. Went there for dinner the other night, and had a fantastic time catching up with some of the staff and hearing about all the exciting new plans to come for Cleo's! Considering the quarter is a bit of a food desert after 11 pm hits (I mean, sure there's food...but it pales in comparison to the cuisine at Cleo's), I'm so, so happy they are still around serving food 24/7. Now - It's set at the back of a grocery store, the tables are wobbly and the cashier was also our waiter. He was so kind and helpful while having to play two roles. This place is kind of a trip - it's a good convenience store with a large selection of international treats and drinks. The food is ok - hummus is good (the pomegranate seeds are a nice touch) but everything else is uninspiring. The time to get your food is also pretty long so make sure you go with a friend you like talking to.

Food is very fresh and tasty. You can find lots of vegetarian options in the menu and food was ready in 15 minutes. The problem is they do not offer water and you need to buy it. There is a fridge that you can go and choose a drink and bring it to your table. Also, when we went to pay they automatically added 20% tip which I think was not fair for the service. Worse than than since the place is a grocery store too, I got a chocolate while we were in line to pay and the cashier added the price of chocolate to the food and then calculated 20% tip!

Literally the best falafel I've ever had in my entire life. The staff is sooooo nice and helpful and the service is crazy fast. Everything is super fresh and homemade with family recipes. The hummus is also phenomenal, and I'm sure everything else on the menu is too! The place looks a little sketchy from the outside, but it's nice and clean and has a clean bathroom. Also a convenience store in the front, which truly is quite convenient haha. Love, love, love this place, definitely would recommend!!!!

Food is great but they up charge for literally everything. The candy is wildly expensive and not consistently priced. It feels like every time you walk up to pay the price changes. I've been repeatedly charged more than I should have when trying to check out. Always always calculate your bill prior to walking up to the cash register. And don't bother with the drinks or candy. They're all atleast twice as expensive as they should be.

Food is excellent. Store is located in the CBD. Cleo's was my first experience with Mediterranean food and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ever since that first time, I've wanted to go back everyday since. There is a lot of food on a plate. Plates are a little pricey, but I would say worth it for the quality, taste and quantity.

Cluuuuuutch! Best find. Convenient candy, snacks, drinks of non-alcoholic kind. The food we ordered was absolutely delicious! We ordered the gyro wrap and falafel wrap we both got fries. Whoa! Six out of five stars for the restaurant. Cleo's is a combination of a restaurant and convenience store; because of that, I was convinced before I sat down that the food would be mediocre at best. The wait staff was friendly, gave us recommendations for vegetarian options, and checked on us several times to make sure we were happy and didn't need anything else. We ordered the Egyptian Breakfast and Vegetarian Platter. Both were outstanding. There wasn't anything we tasted that was even mediocre and the falafels and hummus almost brought me to tears. 1) I didn't know falafels COULD taste that could, 2) Not too heavily fried, and 3) maybe five distinct and wonderful flavors in each falafel. The next night I went to Shaya and without question, Cleo's hummus had more nuanced flavor. I went to Cleo's kind of late in the evening so the pitas seemed like they might have been store bought, but I would have been fine if they had given me a brick to eat their hummus off of.

This was BY FAR THE BEST food in New Orleans!!! Everyone talks about eating Creole this and creole that. SCREW all of that! This Mediterranean restaurant's cuisine is better than all the salty gumbo, sticky rice, jambalaya in the entire French Quarters. The owner T, was a sweetheart, staff was amazingly friendly, and the place was clean. The only thing I could possibly say negative (if I was forced to) is that there's a corner store/ bodega/ deli when you first walk in, and you're thrown off if expecting a restaurant. But that's nothing, and the dining is totally separate. He also has a more formal restaurant a few blocks over also named Cleo's at 117 Decatur. Going back AGAIN before returning to New York.

I had the gyro sandwich. It was tasty, but a little small. My friend got the gyro plate, and that was bigger but a little pricey. Atmosphere and service we're simple, as it's half restaurant half convenient store, with no real division between the two. Also, keep in mind that parking nearby can be difficult if you don't want to pay for a garage.

Not very many places to find quality food in downtown New Orleans at any time of night or day. This is one of the few! I used to always come here for snacks from the convenience store area when I was in a pinch for time, and during my last visit to the city I finally sat down and ordered some food from the restaurant. It's really the last thing you'd expect to find in this area, but it really works and the food is great!

Second time visiting NOLA, I did a google search for vegetarian restaurants and came across Cleos. I know I love Mediterranean food at home. I had the hummus and felefel sandwich. My meal was good portion. Enough to last two meals for myself. I can tell it's made with real fresh ingredients. I will definitely be coming back. Not only is the food great the service is fantastic also. Very pleased with my lunch today.

This place is awesome. When I went I was the only customer (it was during a thunderstorm) and service was fast and friendly. The red lentil soup and falafel were delicious! The Lebanese tea is good (I'd never had it before - it tastes like roses). Only downside was I couldn't eat the spinach pie . I might just be spoiled on homemade spanakopita though. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area. The food was much better than some of the more touristy places I've tried during my trip.

I loved Cleos at their old location. I've went there for years. I did go to the new location shortly after they moved there and wasn't happy. Maybe it was because it was a busy Saturday night but, my order was incomplete. I did say something and it got put in but not right away. It got put in line after the other orders that had been placed. Which made it inconvenient for the rest of us, because my original order was placed 25 minutes earlier. I just think that my order should of been put in right away.

My wife and I were in Louisiana for the first time. We had a chance to taste some Mediterranean food at Cleo dinner. She ordered the Beef Shawarma which came with basmati rice and chose a side order of salad. I had the Lamb Chunk with yellow basmati rice with totilla and hummus. To be honest it is my first time eating Mediterranean food. A brother of mine recommended it and it turned out to be delicious. My wife and I enjoyed it very well to the point that we even ate each other’s portions. I recommend any one who is in the area to visit this restaurant. You won’t regret it. You will just love it. Just what the doctor ordered. I'm America n/Palestinian and often crave an authentic simple Middle Eastern breakfast. This place delivered well!! I would give 5 stars, however they advertise 24 hr services. This rating is from only one visit unfortunately, on day two when we showed up at 9:20 on a Thursday morning for another "Egyptian Breakfast" the doors where locked. We had the same thing happen the first time but someone was inside to accommodate.

An excellent choice if you’re tired of all the lovely Cajun and creole food options at NOLA. The meat was all halal and the portions were a good size. We got a meal to go which included the beef shawarma which tasted pretty authentic and the chicken kofta shawarma which was really delicious. They added a nice mix of sauces and veggies and the bread was pita. We also got a Mexican cola called Jarritos which tasted like cough syrup. However the server was quick and respectful and the place was clean and affordable. I recommend.

The single best meal I had while in New Orleans! Forget about Jambalaya or Gumbo (which every restaurant seems to have), and head to Cleo's for a meal you will never forget. The Vegetarian Grape Leaves were delicious. Warm, full of flavor, and served with a wonderful tzatziki. Lamb Shawarma with hummus and rice is out of this world. The hummus was thick, yet creamy, with a hint of lemon and a touch of heat. The basmati rice had anise, saffron and was served with pomegranate for a nice sweet/savory balance. Lamb was flavorful and well seasoned without being overpowering, and cooked perfectly (still nice and juicy). If you want a break from Seafood/Cajun; Cleo's should be at the top of your list!

My 12 year-old daughter is vegan and it was late at night, so luckily we found Cleo's. The food is so flavorful and delicious. We were licking every last bit off the plate. She had the falafel pita wrap (a little spicy for her) and I had the beef shawarma wrap. I asked for tzatziki sauce and they gave me an amazing thick spread with chopped, spiced olives as well...it was so good. We also had the red lentil soup, which my daughter loved.

It's also one of the few places you can bring a drink into since they don't sell booze. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating. It's a small little place, but open late. Chicken so tender and delicious you'd think it had been marinated for a decade. The flavor has no where to hide. The hummus and the Greek salad are other personal favorites of mine. Get the shawarma plate with rice and hummus. Omg I just made my own stomach secrete acids and enzymes as I wrote this. As if the amazing, high quality food 24-7 wasn't enough, the place is loaded with specialty drinks and candy from across the globe. It is a touch pricy, but hey, everyone should treat themselves now and again, right? I'll finish strong by mentioning the stellar service; I have become friends with one of the managers over time (I practically lived off of Cleo's for a solid stretch of medical school). If you live or are staying downtown or in the FQ, enjoy Cleo's ANY time.

Loved this place and def would want to go back!! I got the sautéed veggies with chicken and basmati rice and it was great! The only reason I did not give this place five stars is because they gave me a styrofoam container when I asked for a to go box. While that does not seem like a big deal, it is extremely detrimental to our environment and health. Out of all of the possible to-go containers, styrofoam is legitimately the worst one to use. Not only is it carcinogenic, it is the most hazardous to our health of all of the plastics. Along with that, styrofoam never actually biodegrades. It can break down, but instead of biodegrading/decomposing it just breaks down into microscopic pieces that go into our waterways and eventually our food chain. Please please choose to give your customers biodegradable containers instead. There are great options on the market! You can even find containers made out of sugarcane! As a customer, it would give me piece of mind knowing that the places I choose to spend my money care about the planet we live on. I would also not be against paying the extra 20 cents a sugarcane container costs if it really came down to that over styrofoam/plastic. (Although plain plastic, cardboard, and paper are still better options than styrofoam!)

We ordered chicken shawarma, lamb kabab and chicken tikka. Chicken shawarma was not like chicken shawarma that we are used to. It was not minced chicken but small pieces of chicken. Chicken tikka was good. Lamb kabab was undercooked. The pita and hummus was good though. Overall an okay place. The price is a little on a higher side considering the quality of food.

2am on a Sunday. CLEO's deserves respect in so many ways. 'We are open 24 hours a day, do you think I do this for fun?' This is a restaurant that puts in work for the respect for the people who wander in 24 hours a day, baby. Perfect falafel. Not dry, not squishy. Perfect Gyro meat - is itshipped in from Kronos? Nah bruh.. made in house, a RARE thing for a lot of gyro places. Yogurt - in house. Everything in house. except for the French Fries. Forgivable. People don't come here for fried taters.. but sometimes you gotta have what you gotta have. Roasted eggplant is highly recommended. Gyro salad is solid, probably should have just ordered the gyro, because my salad lacked the bangbang of crumbled feta, olives and the an overprivelaged peperocini. Lamb kabobs were tasty at 2 am. Stuffed meat grape leaves were perfect with tzatiki sauce and came out smokin hot! Excellent friendly vibe for clearly overworked and tired people running the joint. Customer care was attentive without being.. whatever. Perfect customer care. Go here bruh. Side note.. dopest drink selection in the CBD. I challenge anyone to find the wide range of natural and fun drinks found here at this time, at this price. (Rumors of a second location are abound) Bottom line.. They are not open 24 hours for fun. These folks are here to carve out their place in the NOLA food scene and are here to stay.
