The Fab Forty

This was one of my favorite places to stop and eat. The staff were great! Informative with the area, and the cuisine, the selection of foods were incredible. This is were I tried my very first frog legs, and I can say they did not disappoint! Relaxed atmosphere, great location, and the prices were fantastic. Cant wait to come back!

gluten free beignets were ok. The only thing that made me sad was that they couldn’t offer any other gluten free options because the fryer that didn’t cross contaminate was down. Bummed but he offered a small discount for the inconvenience. I got the frog legs because I already was here and had driven far. They were good. Later foodies

Best beignets in the city. Frog legs were ok. The muffuletta was great. Not a lot of seating. Tables weren’t bussed. It’s all moot with those beignets.

We booked a tour and had some time to kill so we had some food and drinks. The kids really enjoyed the beef tacos and the margaritas were just what the Dr ordered! Great spot for a quick bite!

I was looking for a gluten free option to beignets, I found callas at Bon's. They are not the same, but OH SO YUMMY with the honey and powdered sugar! Ate them for breakfast one day with a cup of hot coffee, and another two days as a snack with a mimosa, just because they were so good! My husband really enjoyed the beignets as well!

Food here was excellent, honestly the best out of the three places I ate in New Orleans. We ordered pork street tacos and the venison meat pies. Fresh ingredients, flavorful and served hot! The person who took my order, Kendall was the best. So personable and genuinely a kind person. The other staff were awesome too. Quick service and excellent atmosphere. A true hidden gem on Decatur.

I was looking for a quick place to grab some food and a drink. The woman behind the counter had some great recommendations on what to order. The shrimp was fresh and the bread was delicious! The drink was delicious too. The outdoor seating area is nice. Convenient and tasty- overall a great experience!

Looking for new gluten free options, we tried the calas at Bon's. They were a lovely treat as an alternative to beignets in the French Quarter. The boudain balls weren't quite as cooked through as I would have liked but the flavor was good. Service was great - I would definitely come back for the calas but would skip the boudain balls.

Food was too good. The beef street tacos 10/10 The hot sausage slider 10/10 Spot where you sit down to eat- sucked. I highly suggest changing the lights and having better seating arrangements. It honestly felt like we were sitting in a hospital waiting room. However, I would still should go here, eat the food and just take it outside. It was raining while we were here so had no choice but to eat indoors. I'm sure it would have been a better experience if we ate outside on the patio. Staff were nice too!
