This restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere was gorgeous. The staff was so welcoming and our Server Alphonse was the best! He was very attentive and had us smiling the entire meal. He gave us great advice on what to order and everything came out wonderful! If we get to visit again we are definitely coming back!

This was my best meal in nola. The quality ingredients and care in preparing were obvious and my waiter Greg (shout out!) went above and beyond to make my experience wonderful. He waited for me to take pictures and timed my food perfectly. He gave recommendations on wine and dessert as well as brought me a glass of water before I ordered a thing. He was humorous and kind. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough!

Wow. This place is so good. Wonderful atmosphere and Greg our server was the best. His recommendations for menu items were on point and he even let us know where to enjoy the best live music during our trip. This was our 1st stop this trip to NOLA and we were not disappointed. Thank you Armantine Seafood, Greg our server and Damien his assistant youade our experience in your restaurant memorable. The charbroiled oysters were the perfect starter and use that bread to soak up the chessy goodness (your welcome). The Shrimp Po Boy is everything it should be in New Orleans. We also ordered the Shrimp Creole and the Red Fish entree. Both dishes are a must have and cannot be missed on a trip to Armantine. This location is highly recommended ❤️❤️

Very good food! If I had gone there when I first came to NO I probably would have gone 2 more times. I had the shrimp poboy, a side of catfish strips, red beans and rice, and white chocolate bread pudding. Everything was so delicious!

We loved it here! The food is amazing and authentic. The service was awesome. They were attentive and professional, they didn’t miss a beat. The drinks are yummy and they don’t hold out on the alcohol! The biscuits are delish! The gumbo- you MUST GET IT!! It is delicious! Omg the bread pudding is GLORIOUS! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing experience, our server Alphonso, did a spectacular job. My husband and I never had to ask for anything as he was already taking care of it. The drinks were superb and extremely well blended to the point where it was near impossible to tell they had liquor in them. The red beans and rice was just the right amount to ensure you were comfortably full without overdoing it.

Food was so great at dinner that we came back for lunch the next day. Fantastic, attentive service from genuine down-to-earth people and every single dish we had was amazing. We had gumbo, shrimp and chicken po boys, chicken strip platter, chicken and shrimp alfredo, red beans and rice, and the fried chicken sandwich tossed in Buffalo sauce. 10/10 recommend!

Initially, I was surprised to see fried crawfish on the etouffee but wow, the sauce was perfection and it all blended together perfectly! The hurricane was good but not my favorite - I prefer more of a passion fruit base. The atmosphere was nice too - the bartenders were friendly and attentive and there was fun, upbeat jazz playing in the background. Will definitely be back!

This place was so good we went back a second day. The first time we tried the blacken chicken and shrimp pasta. Was delicious. The second time we tried the charbroiled oysters and the French quarter sampler. Again was very delicious. Would highly recommend and will be going there again the next time we are in New Orleans.

The best seafood I think I've had my whole life. Had fresh oysters and their sampler entree. Rubee was an amazing waitress and their hostess was also so sweet. My wife had their seafood pasta and it was also so good you wanted to lick the plate. Beautifully decorated inside too.

Yummy drinks and tasty fish po boy. Had the ginger margaritas and my sister had the hurricane. Po boy had generous amounts of fried fish 🐟. Laid back atmosphere. Also there is a history of ghosts sightings which you can read about on the wall of the restaurant.

I came here as part of a food tour and wish I had enough time in New Orleans to come back a thousand times!! The chargrilled oysters with Parmesan were fantastic!! I’m going to be raving about them as one of the highlights of my trip to New Orleans! Also, the waitress was incredibly kind and helpful!

This was my favorite place to eat in the French Quarter. Crawfish Etouffee was amazing with fresh french bread, we asked for more bread they gave us lots of bread. Appetizer, Gator bites with sweet/spicy sauce was yummy. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Even the chef came to our table to see if we liked our food. So good and so friendly. Drinks were good too. I had a Hurricane. I highly recommend this place, they can accommodate large groups too. Nice bar area in the front of restaurant too. Enjoy. We sure did!!!

I wish I could give them more stars. The employee TANYA was so amazing and made us feel right at home. They had vegetarian options and said they could make me something special off-menu if i pleased. I ended up having the spinach dip and the pasta Primavera - yummm. The pasta was a classic but with a little cajun twist. Also, best bloody mary ever!! The dining room was very cool with a fire place and a huge golden gator. Service and food were awesome and i highly recommend 👌

The service and food was unreal. So so so good. Bloody Mary’s to die for. Ginger margarita awesome. The food?!?!?! Everything we had, we loved. Must get the kale salad. The spicy peanut dressing was delicious. The oysters???? Raw and chargrilled. Yes. And absolutely had the best waitress!!! Shoutout RUBEE!!!! You’re the best!! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Was planning on going to another French Quarter institution but saw this place passing by and stopped by on a whim. A little skeptical of the low review count, but thankful that we did because it was the best meal we had in the FQ. Service was excellent, and staff was friendly. Red beans and rice were delicious, and the chicken and sausage gumbo was wayyy better than the one I had at Gumbo Shop. Highly recommend.

Cute little spot. I wish I would have gotten more photos. I ordered the Green Gator cocktail and my boyfriend got the Ginger Margarita. Our waitress was super friendly and even told our neighbors at the bar they could bring their dog in! They also had a really cool golden alligator above the bar. We didn’t try their food as we were bar hopping and only ordered drinks! I’d definitely come back to try the food.

We were hesitant to try because of how new it was but no regrets. Both the seafood pasta and the blackened chicken are to die for! The chargrilled oysters are also really good. Highly recommend. Came here two days in a row. The service was 10/10 as well as the environment. Convenient place to eat, right off bourbon street. I am so happy I walked past this restaurant and the employees that encouraged me to come in and experience some of the best food in the Bourbon St/ French Quarter area. The ambiance and decor was stunning. I initially dined in the evening before my trip was over. Me and 2 others shared a dozen of the BEST charbroiled oysters. I enjoyed a cup of some absolutely delicious chicken and sausage gumbo. The only critique I could offer is I would've loved some shrimp and crab in the gumbo but that is just a seafood lovers preference. For our entrees we enjoyed the blackened redfish. It's was of course delicious. The next day me and my partner decided to return for our last meal in Nola. We were dying to try the gator poboy and again we were not disappointed at all. Of course we had to indulge in a half dozen of oysters and we shared a bowl of gumbo before digging into those massive sandwiches. Also our waitress gave us exquisite drink suggestions. I had a gator themed drink which was very sweet and had a wonderful apple flavor. My partner enjoyed a new orleans hurricane with spiced rum and he took one to go! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go and patronize this wonderful establishment. Our waitress notified us that the owner is also the head chef and you can taste the passion in their cooking.

Every now and then, you get lucky enough to have a momentary experience that sums up a place with history extending prior to and past your own short lifetime. Come have the charred oysters, etouffee, here. Stop your wander, feel time slow, eat. You need this place. It’s wonderful.

Definitely recommend a visit to this lovely seafood restaurant in the French Quarter! Dont worry if you don't like seafood the red beans in rice was absolutely fabulous and if you are a seafood person the shrimp alfredo is where it's at. The the lighting and music wasn't overwhelming and the staff was absolutely amazing, very attentive and Rubee was just as fun as can be!

I cannot recommend this place enough! The food, drinks and service are amazing, which is why I ended up coming here twice in one day with my family. While all the food was great, the chargrilled oysters here were delicious and worth the visit alone. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner/chef of the restaurant who is a very nice man and great cook! Next time we are in the New Orleans area we will be coming back here again and I will recommend this spot to any of our friends/family who happen to be in town! It was the best food we had while at New Orleans.

First time in Nola and came across this amazing restaurant and even better service. Food was so fresh and tasty and our waiter Joe was incredible. He even took the time to write a list of recommendations for the area. We got the blackened red fish and crawfish etouffe as well as the charbroiled oysters which were my FAVOURITE! Bread pudding for dessert. I will be recommending this place to everyone I see! Ask for Joe he will hook you up with the best recommendations! 11/10. Trust me you won’t regret it!!!

Alphonse was an excellent server. I tried their shrimp po' boy and red beans and rice on a food tour. I just had to go back for more. Their redfish and gumbo were delicious. Some of the best food I've tried in NOLA, which is surprising, given that they've only been open for a few months. Highly recommend. Also, their drinks are delicious and strong.

Best blackened chicken in the French Quarter and best hospitality also. Staff accommodated me and made me a special order. I walked in with a sick stomach from the gumbos and jambalaya on 4dy stay and walked out feeling soothed. I came in 30 minutes before they closed on a Saturday night and Jack B gave us the best service we had our entire trip by far. We were completely ignored at some of the more expensive restaurants in town (Brennan’s) so being welcomed in despite them closing soon was very much appreciated. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. It all started with a few drinks at Felipe’s when my homegirl and I struck up convo with Big Steve & Red about living in NYC, which then segued into a good place to eat for dinner. Armantine was the answer! Shortly thereafter we were joined by Mama Tonya who also said Armantine was the place to go. So Armantine was where we went! Thee best chargrilled oysters! You here me??! THEE BEST! Honestly should’ve ordered 2 dozen instead of one. We had some very tasty bowls of gumbo and the blackened fish??? *chefs kiss* amazing!!! My homegirl had the blackened chicken and she really enjoyed it. Also want to give a huge shout out to Lil Steve!! Thanks for holdin us down when we came through. And the wonderful young woman behind the bar who made the tastiest margarita!! Also, the tall gentleman who was shucking the oysters!! Y’all were great!!! We will be back!!!

Best dining experience we have had, other than an EXTREMELY PRICEY steakhouse in Vegas. The food was delicious! My husband does not eat any seafood whatsoever but agreed to try oysters based off the recommendation of our waitress. He ate 3 of the half dozen chargrill oysters from our appetizer! I was floored. The crawfish etoufee was the best I’ve ever had and the shrimp creole was incredible. I ordered the French Quarter Sampler and was not at all disappointed. The red beans and rice were great and smokey, as they should be. The grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo (not blackened) that my husband ate was perfectly seasoned. The GM, Ms Lisa, even delivers the food to the table to check on you and she was the best example of a manager we’ve ever seen. Our server was Natasha and she’s been the best we’ve experienced by far in all our travels. Give this wonderful establishment a try… you’ll leave happy and satisfied… I promise.

Beautiful location with lots of history. The food was amazing and the staff engagement was even better. Ruby was a gem of a server that took our experience to another level. After dinner we took a tour of the place with their wonderful concierge Miguel. He gave us the full history of the building and its connection to the city. Everyone was extremely attentive and intentional in making all guest feel like family. If you are in the city you must pop in for food and drinks.

My sister and I were in New Orleans for the first time, and every person we encountered at this establishment (servers, bartenders, management, etc) made us feel so welcome, just like we were at home. Our server, whose name I sadly cannot remember, made our visit so special that we decided to come back to the restaurant a second time the next day. I'm so glad we did. Again, fantastic food and drinks and stellar service. Everyone here seems to genuinely enjoy being here and interacting with guests. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about this place. It made my first trip to New Orleans great and will be a go-to any time I visit the city in the future! Not to mention, it's a Black owned business. Must try: the chargrilled oysters, blackened gator bites, blackened redfish, and ORDER THE BREAD PUDDING. Just do it.

This place is incredible! They have the sweetest, cleanest, oysters I've had in my life (and I get oysters everywhere I go). Their chagrilled oysters were phenomenal with a little lemon on them as well. The crawfish étouffée was also the best I've had: great price, not too heavy, perfectly spiced. Our waiter, Alphonse, was hilarious, super fast, and curteous. This place may be newer to the NOLA food scene, but it is 100% worth trying.

A close friend from New Jersey recommended this fine black establishment, and we were thoroughly satisfied. The service was great and the food was excellent!! I had the pleasure of dining at Armantine twice. Each time, I was impressed with the quality of both the service and the food. I have had two of the most iconic of all New Orleans foods: a shrimp po’boy and red beans & rice. The po’boy was excellent! Plump, fresh shrimp perfectly dressed on po’boy bread. The red beans & rice may be the best I have ever eaten. Well seasoned with a subtle smokey flavor and a creamy consistency. My wife had the sirloin steak and told me it was very good. In brief, we’ll be back!

Ruby was the sweetest waitress ever , she has such a genuine energy and she had the greatest food tips . I cannot wait to come back I only got to go twice while visiting on a college visit, but when I move there for school I’ll be going here literally as much as I can!! First, let me say these are the BEST oysters I have ever had in my life! Now onto the review, I visited NOLA to celebrate my 30th birthday! A friend of mine had visited Armantine earlier during the day(she was lucky and got to dine twice in one day) so we decided to visit for dinner. 5 STARS all the way around! Our server was Rubee and let me tell you…. I have never had a server that was so attentive and gracious at once. For my drink, I ordered the Green Gator and I was definitely not disappointed. For my entree, I ordered the blackened redfish. Rubee suggested it and let me tell you….. I would drive down every weekend if I could for that fish. After we finished our meal, we enjoyed a brief tour and history lesson by Miguel. We also chatted with the owner/chef. He was very hospitable and a joy as well. Thank you so much Armantine for this EXPERIENCE!

So good! BUT I’ll share that the only reason I didn’t leave a perfect review was that they charge extra for credit cards, something not displayed on the menu. I felt like I was being snookered by a gas station. As a tourist, new to NOLA, this was just another annoyance when everybody pays with their CC anyway. Aside from that the food and service was amazing, though the serving sizes for what I ordered weren’t grand (not a complaint, just sharing). Definitely worth a stop!

We just happened upon this place while walking around NOLA last night. Checked out the posted menu and took a look at reviews (all outstanding) and decided to go in. Best decision ever! The food was excellent and the service even more so. I had the Cajun sampler (red beans & rice, crawfish etouffee, and shrimp gumbo, which was outstanding). My husband had a steak cooked exactly how he ordered it. Our server Tevin was the best! We're going back! Go now because once this place is discovered, the lines will be around the block!
